  1. If you could turn to Acts chapter nine. If I

  2. had to title this message, it'd be look unto Christ

  3. all right. In Acts chapter nine and in verse three,

  4. it says, and as he journeyed, he came near Damascus,

  5. and suddenly there shined round about him, alight from heaven.

  6. And he fell to the earth and heard a voice

  7. saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And

  8. he said, who art thou Lord? And the Lord said,

  9. I am Jesus, whom thou persecutest. It is hard for

  10. thee to kick against the pricks. And he, trembling and astonished, said, Lord,

  11. what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord

  12. said unto him, a rise, go into the city, and

  13. it shall be told THEE what thou must do. Let's

  14. pray God anoint me.

  15. God, God.

  16. I need your God. I need any upon me. God

  17. an to play.

  18. God. God, help me to say nothing more, nothing less,

  19. offer your.

  20. Glory God, not of it of myself. It's not about me.

  21. It's about you and your people. God, God, would you

  22. anoint me with the heaven? The annoying God just thought, God,

  23. Jesus name.

  24. Now I I was reading my Bible probably about a

  25. week ago, and something stuck out to me. Jesus tells

  26. him to follow him, basically, and the thought came to me.

  27. Paul had a choice to make. He had two paths

  28. he could take. He could go follow Christ or he

  29. could turn right back to the world and go back

  30. to where he came from. And we see later when

  31. he chose. Because he was blinded, and this stuck out

  32. to me too, he chose to follow Jesus. And only

  33. after he followed Jesus where his eyes opened, only after

  34. he could see that he could see I messed up.

  35. I was doing wrong. I was in the wrong. There

  36. has to be that change. And then another example is Demus.

  37. He had two options, but because his focus was on

  38. the world, because he was looking at the things of

  39. the world, because there was that interest, in that desire

  40. to experience the world, he left. He left Paul's side,

  41. the man of God that showed him the way, and

  42. he chose to walk away just because his his focus wasn't.

  43. Where it needed to be.

  44. And it's so easy to get caught up in the

  45. world and to have all your focus put on the world,

  46. and then you lose track. I don't know if any

  47. of you have ever tried walking in a straight line.

  48. When you're not paying attention, when you're looking to the

  49. left or to the right, or your eyes are closed,

  50. you end up somewhere where you didn't want to be.

  51. You end up somewhere where you don't know where you're at.

  52. Another example that we see in the Bible of Solomon,

  53. the wisest man to ever live beside Jesus, fell because

  54. his interest was in the world. His interest was in

  55. the in the in the play of the world that

  56. lasted for just a short span of time, and he

  57. lost out. Such a mighty man, a big man, even

  58. he he thought he was too big. It's so easy

  59. to fall. But I'd like to preach a good side

  60. of this. We see David who did fall. He fell,

  61. but he got back up. He realized, Hey, my heart

  62. is dirty. I need a new heart. I need to

  63. get back where I need to go. I need to

  64. get back where I belong. And then lastly we see

  65. the prodigal son who seemed to be so far gone

  66. there was no hope. There was no hope of him

  67. coming back. There was no hope of him realizing they

  68. he messed up. Then he fell, but Thankfully, he reached

  69. such a low point, a low point in his life

  70. where he realizing he saw, I need to go back

  71. to my father. I need to go back where I'm

  72. fed and where I'm able to grow. If there's no

  73. growth in progression, something's wrong. You're not you're not looking

  74. to Jesus, because he will take you further.

  75. He will keep taking you on and on and on.

  76. If there's no growth, if there's just stagnant and you're

  77. not getting anywhere, there's a reason to search your heart.

  78. A little bit of soul searching never hurt anybody. And uh,

  79. as I was watching the live stream for Wednesday night,

  80. we've seen a prime example of someone he may have

  81. not seen the big picture, but he knew he had

  82. to He had to follow Christ. He couldn't follow his family.

  83. He had to follow his his father, his heavenly father.

  84. And we see where that got him. We see where

  85. it got David, We see where it got the prodigal son.

  86. So if if.

  87. I just encourage you to take a look at where

  88. you're at, if you're not where you want to be,

  89. or if you're not where you're supposed to be, you

  90. need to make a change, because ultimately that path.

  91. There's only two paths.

  92. There's the path where Jesus is at, where he's leading

  93. and guiding you, and the other path it's gonna take

  94. you to hell. And if you don't, if you don't

  95. check yourself before that happens, it'll be too late. Once

  96. you get to the point where you think you're on

  97. the right path, where you know you're on the right

  98. path and nobody can tell you different, you're on your

  99. perfect path to heaven, No, you're gonna end up in hell,

  100. just like Judas did. He thought he was on his

  101. perfect path. He thought he knew better, he thought he

  102. could do it on his own, and he's in Hell

  103. to this day. So check yourself. Just focus on Jesus.

  104. He's all that matters. And I thank you, I thank

  105. God for everything He's done for me. He's such a

  106. good God.

  107. Brother Jonathan's share of the word tonight.

  108. Amen.

  109. Amen.

  110. I assure am thankful for the sweet holy ghost that

  111. we have felt. Ton Amen, the sweet presence of the

  112. Lord we felt. Amen. And I just want to say

  113. I'm thankful for our pastor tonight and how God's blessed

  114. us with a man of God that can speak into

  115. our lives. And you know, if we take it and

  116. apply it, it'll make.

  117. Us seeing, you know, to somebody that we wouldn't have been.

  118. I guarantee you that any other pastor that I've said

  119. under they wouldn't have had the effect that that man

  120. of God does. And I want to say, I'm thankful

  121. for our youth pastor here tonight, another man of God

  122. that you know, we really couldn't ask for a better

  123. youth pastor here. God's blessed us tremendously with the wonderful pastor,

  124. a wonderful youth pastor.

  125. And I want to say I'm thankful for what he said.

  126. You know, I believe God's trying to help somebody here tonight,

  127. just the way that God's dealt with me to go

  128. in a certain way. I know only God knows what's

  129. gonna happen. I know only God knows who really needs

  130. the help on the inside. We all need help, Amen,

  131. But I feel like there's always those few that just

  132. need a little bit more, Amen, to glean a little

  133. bit more, to go that extra mile, Amen. But I

  134. believe God can help you go, Amen, thousands of miles,

  135. hundreds of more miles.

  136. Amen.

  137. You don't have to just live, amen, day by day

  138. on bread. You can live, Amen, live through eternity, Amen,

  139. living on the promises. And I'm just thankful for everything

  140. that's been done so far. And the Lord dealt with

  141. me over in Luke chapter nineteen. Brother Nathaniel's already mentioned

  142. some about this over in the thirteenth chapter. I'm gonna

  143. read a verse, and then i'll jump a couple verses

  144. and read a few more. It says, and he caught

  145. his ten servants and delivered them ten pounds, and said.

  146. Unto them, occupy till I come.

  147. And in the sixteenth verse, it says, then came the

  148. first saying, Lord die pound hath gained ten pounds. And

  149. he said, unto him, well, thou good servant, because thou

  150. hast been faithful in a very little have thou authority

  151. over ten cities. And the second came saying, Lord th

  152. pound hath gained five pounds, And he said, likewise to him,

  153. be thou also over five cities. And another came saying, Lord, behold,

  154. here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up

  155. in an afkin. And another came saying, Lord, behold, here

  156. is thy pound which I have laid up in a napkin.

  157. Let's pray here tonight, God, would you please this come by, Lord.

  158. God.

  159. We thank you Jesus, Lord, and we praise your holy name.

  160. God.

  161. We love you, Lord, and we thank you Jesus, God,

  162. Lord of Heaven. I thank you Jesus, God of Heaven. Lord,

  163. I magnify you, Jesus, Thank you God. I know a

  164. lot's already been said tonight about opportunities, but this is

  165. what the Lord gave me, and I just couldn't get

  166. get away from it. But what I want to preach

  167. on tonight is equal opportunities.

  168. And if we look the first of then.

  169. In a wonderful story in this nineteenth chapter of Luke

  170. is of the encounter Zachi has had with Jesus. And

  171. after this wonderful encounter we find where Jesus and those

  172. around him, most likely it would have been his disciples

  173. and other close followers, we find with a journey on

  174. to Jerusalem. And as they draw, as they draw nigh

  175. into Jerusalem, Jesus begins to open up and pour into

  176. those around him about this parable of the nobleman and

  177. his ten pounds. As we see in verse verse number twelve,

  178. it says, and he said, therefore, a certain nobleman went

  179. into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom

  180. and to return. This nobleman would have been someone of

  181. noble ranking appear, Amen, and someone with high social position,

  182. no doubt, some money that had great wealth that had

  183. been raised up. Amen, had already went out, Amen and

  184. made a living, because in his mind and his heart,

  185. he was going out, Amen, to seek out a kingdom

  186. for a self. But before this nobleman left out, Amen,

  187. to go out on his journey, he caught his ten

  188. servants and delivered under them ten pounds and said under them,

  189. occupy till I come.

  190. And if you notice, he said occupy.

  191. Until I come, instead of stay idle until I come.

  192. Amen.

  193. And I believe that he had faith and trusting these

  194. ten servants. Most likely they had been under his leadership

  195. for some time. Amen, for him just to trust them

  196. with this portion of money and say, you know what,

  197. do what you would have Amen, occupy as long as

  198. you don't stay idle. Amen, Just do what Amen, whatsoever

  199. you would have in your heart, as long as you're

  200. doing something that's better than nothing. But I also believe

  201. that this nobleman was a wise and Amen. When was

  202. checking to see who would seek to make the best

  203. out of what they were given.

  204. Amen.

  205. And to see who would put a little time and

  206. just a little bit of effort, but not fully invest

  207. everything into this opportunity they were given.

  208. Amen.

  209. And to also see who was seeing amen idol, Amen,

  210. with no desire to invest their time, money in future, Amen,

  211. into something that's better.

  212. Amen. And and it came to pass as time went on. Amen.

  213. And as this nobleman returned at the receivers even his kingdom. Amen,

  214. he commanded these servants to be called unto him. Amen,

  215. come back, I'm gonna check you again, Amen, And that

  216. he might notice how much every man gained by trade him.

  217. Amen.

  218. And this nobleman came, I believe with high expectations. You know,

  219. I've trained them, Amen, they should be able to do something, Amen,

  220. hoping to find these servants the Amen, that all would

  221. have amen, with the extra mile Amen, that every single

  222. one of them, Amen, would have went out and done something, Amen,

  223. and not just stand there and not just sit there.

  224. Amen.

  225. How many knows theymen? If you're going to advance, you've

  226. got to do something.

  227. Amen. And we see in verse number sixteen Amen.

  228. It says, then came the first thing, Lord, thou pound

  229. hath gained ten pounds. After this, nobleman saw truly that

  230. this servant had gained all that he had, Amen, And Amen,

  231. had put all that he had into investing.

  232. Amen. And he proved that he was faithful. Amen.

  233. And the small things he put them amen set him

  234. in authority over ten cities.

  235. Amen.

  236. In in verse eighteen, Amen, the second came saying, Lord, the

  237. pound hath gained five pounds Amen.

  238. So he was given a thirty over five cities.

  239. But I believe this can also show us, Amen, that

  240. some will choose to invest and look for greater things and.

  241. Push theirselves to max capacity.

  242. Amen, while others Amen show some interest but not truly

  243. throw everything they have into it.

  244. Amen. Amen, what they're supposed to be fulfilling. Amen.

  245. Because both of these men Amen, these two servants were

  246. given the ecal amount.

  247. Amen.

  248. But one amen came back with ten Amen and one

  249. came back with five.

  250. Amen. Do the math that's five differ? Something ay wrong? Amen?

  251. If one of them, amen, he would have amen followed procedure. Amen,

  252. he probably could have came back with ten as well.

  253. Amen. That's the same way with us. Amen. God's looking

  254. for one hundred percent. Amen.

  255. Amen, just like the nobleman was looking for one hundred percent. Amen,

  256. God's looking for one hundred percent out of a I believe.

  257. Amen.

  258. And in verse number twenty, trying to lay a foundation here,

  259. just bear with me say that another came saying, Lord, behold,

  260. here is thy pound, which I have laid up in

  261. a napkin.

  262. What truly would have been this cause?

  263. Amen to amen, for this servant to sit hotel, amen,

  264. to find nothing to invest in?

  265. Amen.

  266. He was given equal opportunity to get up Amen from

  267. his place. Amen, Amen, and go and make use with

  268. what he was given.

  269. Amen. He had the same amount as the other servants had. Amen.

  270. That gained the ten pounds and one game to five pounds. Amen.

  271. He was given the same opportunity. So what happened? Amen? Amen.

  272. It is the same with us here tonight. Amen.

  273. We're all given equal opportunities, Amen, to push ourselves for

  274. a greater experience.

  275. Amen.

  276. If you would ask me tonight, amen, Amen, would I

  277. have in one of those ones that could have been

  278. caught on amen in battle as brother Nathaniel was talking about, Amen,

  279. I would have been in the age gap Amen. But

  280. I would have sat on the sidelines if you would

  281. ask me a few years ago, Amen, because I wouldn't

  282. have anything to offer. Hallelujah.

  283. Amen.

  284. God don't shorthand anybody. He don't shorthand anybody, hallelujah. I

  285. believe it's the only person that'll shorthand us Amen, is ourselves.

  286. Amen. And in John chapter nineteen and verse thirty.

  287. Amen, when Jesus was dying on the cross and he

  288. said it is finished, Amen, he gave everyone that was

  289. right the equal opportunity amen to.

  290. Receive salvation Amen, by the blood. Amen. And he's still

  291. offering it amen to each and everyone. Amen. Even if

  292. we think about the two thieves Amen, that was right there,

  293. that nod Amen.

  294. There.

  295. You can't really get a better amen example Amen of

  296. somebody Amen, that had equal opportunity.

  297. Amen. You got the lamb of God, the Son of

  298. God between you. Amen.

  299. And you're a thief on the right amen and a

  300. thief on the left amen.

  301. By one of them, Amen, remember me in Paradise. Amen.

  302. But the other didn't want anything to do with them. Amen.

  303. But that's how we amen. And we see amen, in

  304. the churches. What other greater opportunity Amen.

  305. Do you have sitting in the church pew, having the

  306. pastor that we have, Amen, Having the pastor's wife that

  307. we have, Amen, Having the youth leaders that we have. Amen.

  308. You've been given amen, equal opportunity in the pews. Amen,

  309. to receive us change, Amen, and receive a greater blessing.

  310. Amen.

  311. And levitica is eleven, Chapter eleven, verse forty four says,

  312. for I am the Lord of your God. You shall

  313. therefore sanctify yourselves, and you shall be holy, for I

  314. am holy. And Second Corinthians, Chapter six and verse seventeen,

  315. wherefore come out from amongst them and be separate, saith

  316. the Lord, and touch not the young clean.

  317. Thing, and I will receive you. Amen.

  318. Right, there's two verses. Amen, that's been offered to anybody.

  319. Amen that would is truly humble their selves Amen, and

  320. sanctify theirselves.

  321. Amen. Went out of the Old Testament and levitikus Amen

  322. went out of the New Testament.

  323. Second Corinthians. Amen, it's been ringing true for years and years.

  324. Amen. And those two verses will never change. Amen.

  325. And there's been countosus of people that have the eqal opportunity. Amen,

  326. that'll comebine get true sanctification.

  327. Amen. Let me tell you what sanctification'll do. Amen. It'll

  328. drive back Amen, the demon of Hell. Amen. It'll purify you. Amen,

  329. It'll come on yourself Amen and me Amen, as a

  330. servant under God.

  331. Amen, Amen, Hadeluja praise God. And looking over in Acts

  332. chapter two and verse thirty eight, it says then said

  333. under them.

  334. Repent and be baptized, every one of.

  335. You in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission

  336. of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the

  337. Holy Ghost. Amen, each and every person. There was a

  338. great multitude there that day.

  339. Amen. I believe there was thousands. Amen.

  340. Each and every one of them Amen was given the

  341. same opportunity to walk away, Amen, baptizing the Holy Ghost.

  342. Amen.

  343. Each one of them Amen came that day, Amen, no

  344. doubt expecting. But Amen, when the Man of God got

  345. up and started preaching, were they truly willing Amen to

  346. follow Amen his godance and what he had to say.

  347. Amen.

  348. I believe there was three thousand added to the church. Amen,

  349. towards the end of that chapter.

  350. Amen.

  351. But I wonder just how many more Amen was possibly

  352. there Amen that stood around and been like, you know what.

  353. Peter's done satting, he's done preaching. Amen. Why why can't

  354. I really get it for myself? Amen?

  355. The man of God's unpreaching Amen. The Man of God's

  356. done said what to do?

  357. Amen. But we sit there idle amen, with equal opportunities. Amen.

  358. And we come in and out Amen. A church.

  359. Amen, sit on the pew, get up, go out in

  360. the same routine. You come back in another opportunity. Hallelujah,

  361. Praise God, Hallelujah. I believe opportunities will run out one day.

  362. Amen. Amen.

  363. The man on the cross, that was his last opportunity

  364. he had before going anyto eternity. And what a sad

  365. thing know that one of them being so close to

  366. the Savior Amen, and denying and wanted no part with it.

  367. Amen.

  368. So many people I feel like, come through Bethel's doors.

  369. It's their last opportunity for one more chance of hope.

  370. Amen. It's their last opportunity. Amen. They get as close

  371. as they can. Amen. But whatever Amen, the service is done.

  372. They just push it back. Amen. I don't want to

  373. push back spirit. I want to pour it on spirit. Amen.

  374. I want God just to saturate us. Amen.

  375. Amen, Hallelujah, Praise God. And if you look back at

  376. Luke chapter nineteen, the servant that laid has pound up

  377. in a napkin had an excuse. So many people in

  378. the church world today, even in the holiness Amen movement,

  379. as they like to call it, they always got their excuses,

  380. A why can't I ever measure up?

  381. Amen? We don't, Amen, nobody will ever measure up to God.

  382. But if we just give it all that we have, Amen,

  383. if we just humble ourselves and come before him. But

  384. in verse number twenty one, it says, for I fear

  385. deed because thou art and destruer man, this servant Amen

  386. thought he could excuse, Amen, could have an excuse and

  387. try to slide by.

  388. Amen.

  389. If this nobleman knew that he had been given, Amen,

  390. an equal opportunity to go out, Amen and make Amen ready, Amen,

  391. to go out and make Amen himself acceptable and make

  392. a profit.

  393. Amen.

  394. Amen, he was given the same exact, Amen, the same

  395. exact No doubt he pulled out the same bag Amen.

  396. When he got him together that day, he probably got

  397. out of the same Amen sack of money. Said you

  398. know what, here you go, Amen. It comes back on

  399. our actions what it really does.

  400. Amen.

  401. If we don't put no action, Amen, behind the opportunities

  402. were given.

  403. Amen, We'll just come in Amen, time at their time. Amen.

  404. You know what, Amen, I don't believe the first one Amen,

  405. that was given his pound and give gain ten pounds.

  406. He wasn't gonna sit there, hoddel Amen. I can imagine, Amen,

  407. the nobleman gave him his pound. He probably jumped up

  408. before he even got out of town. Amen, and said,

  409. you know what I've been given. Amen, I've got something

  410. to do. We all got something to do tonight.

  411. Amen.

  412. Whether it be amen so small, Amen, there's something little. Amen,

  413. we been given something to do. Hallelujah. Amen, Hallelujah, Praise God.

  414. And if you if you read over there and the

  415. twenty second verse of the same chapter, Amen, it says,

  416. and he said thing to him out of thine own mouth?

  417. Will I judge thee?

  418. This is talking about the nobleman when he came back

  419. and found out, Amen, that that that servant was a

  420. if you would felled miserably, that's what he done. He didn't,

  421. He didn't do what he was supposed to do. Said

  422. and he said thing to him out of thine own mouth?

  423. Will I judge thee? Thou wicked servant, thou knewest what

  424. I you knew us that I was in a sture man,

  425. taking up that I'd laid not down, and reaping that

  426. I did not sew. Wherefore then gave us not thou
