  1. Welcome to Go Church Beirut.

  2. Your place to love, grow, and go.

  3. Get ready to hear an inspiring message recorded during a Go

  4. Church Beirut gathering.

  5. Go Church, it's so good to be with you.

  6. Can you turn to somebody today and just welcome them to Go

  7. Church?

  8. Let them know how good it is to see them here today

  9. and give them a high five or handshake,

  10. something along that line.

  11. So thankful to be with you all.

  12. Have you here with us?

  13. I love Lebanon.

  14. This is my third time being in this amazing country.

  15. And I love it.

  16. I can't wait to come back till next time.

  17. And honored to be with you here today.

  18. My wife sends her love.

  19. My children send her love.

  20. My wife has been here before, loved it.

  21. My oldest son has been here.

  22. His name is Boston.

  23. He loved it.

  24. In fact, when he left, he said, I want to move there.

  25. And so we'll see.

  26. We'll see what happens there.

  27. But we're honored to be with you here today.

  28. My name is Joel.

  29. I pastor at church in Jackson, Mississippi.

  30. And I've been pastoring there now for 20 years.

  31. I have a heart for missions.

  32. Typically I go to a different nation about two or three

  33. times every year.

  34. I believe that as Christians, we have a chief call

  35. to go into the world.

  36. And it's impossible to get a heart for the world unless you

  37. go into the world to see it.

  38. And I've had the privilege of going all over the world

  39. and just so honored to be there.

  40. But I have found no place better than Lebanon and Beirut.

  41. I love this nation.

  42. I love the people.

  43. I love the food.

  44. And I love Goat Church.

  45. Can we give it up for your pastors and the team here?

  46. I tell you, I am blown away every time

  47. I come by the leadership that God has placed here.

  48. The sense of excellence that is in this place.

  49. The sense of excellence that is in the small group leaders

  50. who lead all across the city.

  51. I believe we're going to see a doubling of that soon.

  52. I really do sense that in my heart.

  53. There's a rapid expansion that's about to take place,

  54. even among leaders.

  55. And so many of you get ready to lead a group.

  56. You're not just attending a group.

  57. You're going to lead a group.

  58. And you're not just going to attend this church.

  59. Be an integral part of this church.

  60. And we're so glad to have you here.

  61. And God's got a plan for you, a plan of ministry.

  62. And I'm super excited to see where this church is going to go.

  63. And not just where this church is going to go,

  64. but where you are going to go in the name of Jesus.

  65. And that's actually what I feel impressed to talk about.

  66. As a pastor, I teach on any given week

  67. about six to eight times.

  68. And so that means writing a lot of different messages

  69. and studying a lot of different material.

  70. And it's tempting when you go to a place to a first time,

  71. you just pull out like your best message.

  72. That went really well.

  73. At the existing place.

  74. And you know, just preach that one.

  75. And I came to the country and yesterday in our session,

  76. the Spirit gave a word.

  77. And I felt impressed to just preach a message on that.

  78. And so I've never preached this message before.

  79. I've never studied along these lines before.

  80. But the whole time I've been in Lebanon,

  81. these things keep coming up to my heart.

  82. So this is the first time anybody has heard this message.

  83. And I'm excited to give it.

  84. But last year I was praying,

  85. how many of you think that's a good idea that we should pray?

  86. We should be a people of prayer.

  87. Amen.

  88. A God's house should be a house of prayer.

  89. And I've been trying to spend more time and prayer

  90. in this season of my life than in any other season.

  91. And I was in like my back porch area,

  92. kind of behind the house,

  93. just praying and worshiping the Lord.

  94. And oftentimes when you sow the seed of talking to God,

  95. you reap the harvest of God talking to you.

  96. And that's the beauty of even what we just did.

  97. It's not just worship unto the Lord,

  98. but it's sowing a seed of affection

  99. and communication to the Lord.

  100. And when you sow that seed of affection

  101. and communication to the Lord,

  102. you often reap the harvest of affection

  103. and communication given to you.

  104. And so out of that, I was just worshiping the Lord

  105. and it came into my heart to have in this year,

  106. a prayer conference.

  107. And we've never done anything like that.

  108. And honestly, like I thought, you know, okay,

  109. in doing that, I'll wait time

  110. because I didn't have the exact time to do it.

  111. But I sensed an urgency to maybe do it

  112. at the start of the year,

  113. but the end of every year for our church is super busy.

  114. We have Christmas and we have giveaways

  115. and we come and give gifts to families

  116. and like have big, big things in the community,

  117. Christmas productions, you know, all those kinds of things.

  118. I'm like, I can't put anything else on my staff.

  119. And anybody who's ever led an organization and has a team,

  120. it's like, you know how much your team can handle.

  121. And it's like, I don't know if I wanna throw like,

  122. hey, in January, we're gonna do a three day prayer conference.

  123. You know, and that kind of thing.

  124. And so like I was hesitant to do it.

  125. And I just thought, well, I'll wait a year,

  126. give him a time to prep.

  127. And our worship pastor, Tabitha Thompson,

  128. who is actually going to be here in Lebanon in August.

  129. Yes, I know Rafi knows her.

  130. So we've got a team that'll be coming here in August as well

  131. from Word of Life.

  132. And man, I tell you, they're just anointed.

  133. But anyway, Tabitha, she texts me and she said,

  134. hey, I feel like next year and like in January,

  135. we should be having like an extended set of meetings.

  136. And I'm like, in the mouth of two or three witnesses,

  137. let every word be established.

  138. And I'm like, done, yes, January prayer conference.

  139. And it came into my heart again.

  140. And when I say it came into my heart,

  141. this is oftentimes how God leads us.

  142. It's just something kind of comes into your heart

  143. that there's a desire there.

  144. And if you're born again and walking with the Lord,

  145. oftentimes desire is one of the chief ways God will guide you.

  146. He will give you the desires of your heart.

  147. And so the desire came into my heart

  148. to have a particular minister in.

  149. And so I brought them in and when they got up,

  150. they sat a couple of weeks before that,

  151. they were in a service during the offering time

  152. and announcement time.

  153. And how many of you know God can even talk to you

  154. during the announcement time?

  155. And out of that, she said that it came into her heart,

  156. the word emerge for this year, emerge.

  157. And she said that and a bore witness

  158. on the inside of my heart.

  159. But when I got here to Lebanon, honestly,

  160. it had not been on the forefront of my spiritual thinking

  161. for months.

  162. And I got here yesterday and that word came up

  163. so big in my heart, emerge.

  164. That it is time to emerge.

  165. There were moments in people's lives in scripture

  166. where they were living at one level

  167. and it was very natural.

  168. And there came a time for them to emerge.

  169. Moses on the backside of a desert, just a shepherd

  170. and he's living a good life.

  171. Like it's nothing wrong with the life.

  172. He's enjoying it.

  173. He's married, got some kids, got a father-in-law.

  174. Seems like a good guy, leading cheap.

  175. But a bush was lit up and God told him

  176. it was time for him to emerge.

  177. And every vestige of the old dripped off of Moses

  178. and he stepped up into something brand new.

  179. Like a caterpillar to a butterfly.

  180. Emerging out of it with something new on him.

  181. He emerged.

  182. Joseph, God gives him a dream and he's just a kid.

  183. He's got a coat of many colors,

  184. like feels good to be loved and he's out there dreaming.

  185. And he goes through a series of events

  186. where it seems like his life is going through

  187. something very private.

  188. And he's not seen and he's not heard of.

  189. But there came a time for him to emerge.

  190. And when he emerged, every vestige of the old,

  191. it was like a complete different life.

  192. A fresh anointing came on, so much so.

  193. That when his brother saw him, the Bible says,

  194. he recognized them, but they did not recognize him.

  195. He had become something entirely different.

  196. Entirely different from who they knew him to be.

  197. Did you know God has the power to do that?

  198. To make you something entirely different than what you are.

  199. Like literally a transformation in you.

  200. We see David.

  201. God comes and tells his father

  202. that there is a king in your household.

  203. And Jesse lines up all of his other boys

  204. and believes that there is a king in them

  205. but leaves David on the sidelines out with the sheep.

  206. And he's living this life.

  207. It's a wonderful life of worship

  208. and this great life of just being before God.

  209. He's enjoying it, finding no fault with it.

  210. And he enjoys, like we get the idea that David is like,

  211. not overly hurt that he's not invited

  212. to the king ceremony and all those types of things.

  213. He's just left out there.

  214. Until the time for him to emerge came.

  215. And Samuel said, we will not sit down

  216. until he is brought in.

  217. And when he stepped on the scene, he emerged

  218. and the anointing of God came on him

  219. and he was transformed into another man.

  220. And this young shepherd boy became something entirely

  221. different.

  222. He transformed from a shepherd into a king.

  223. He emerged.

  224. Jesus, for 30 years of his earthly ministry on the earth,

  225. it just seemed like he was a carpenter.

  226. And it just seemed like he was a good guy

  227. but no miracles that we know of came out during that season

  228. until John the Baptist saw him and said,

  229. behold the Lamb of God which takes upon himself

  230. the son of the world.

  231. And in that moment, he emerged

  232. and he came out into something brand new

  233. and the voice of God spoke over him

  234. and said, this is my beloved son

  235. and whom I'm well pleased

  236. and the Holy Spirit came upon him.

  237. And he went into his own hometown

  238. and we'll talk about this later.

  239. He went into his own hometown

  240. and he stepped up into that place

  241. and said, the spirit of the Lord is upon me

  242. for he is anointed me to preach the gospel.

  243. And everyone around him was like,

  244. man, this is not the same guy.

  245. He had emerged into something different.

  246. And I just sent so big in my heart

  247. that Go Church universally is emerging

  248. that there is something coming out of it

  249. where every vestige of the old is passing away

  250. and there is something new that is coming forth.

  251. When you look at the word emerge,

  252. I looked it up this weekend.

  253. When you look at the word emerge,

  254. it means to become visible.

  255. That before it was hidden,

  256. but it was time for it to come out.

  257. Time for it to be seen, to become visible.

  258. The second definition is, is to become prominent.

  259. That when something emerges from the field,

  260. when something steps up from the field,

  261. it becomes a thing of prominence.

  262. It steps up from where it is,

  263. steps up from the pack,

  264. steps up from the place,

  265. and is seen to become prominent.

  266. And the second, the third definition is,

  267. to recover from a difficult situation,

  268. to come out of it.

  269. And I sense like this church especially

  270. is about to become seen.

  271. It's about to become prominent.

  272. And it's about to help this nation

  273. recover from a difficult situation.

  274. Come on, church.

  275. Come on, church.

  276. Like I really believe it is time for Go Church to emerge.

  277. Universally, but especially this one.

  278. It is time for it to come forth.

  279. It is time for it to come out.

  280. It is time for it to become prominent.

  281. But I sense like this is a season,

  282. not just for Go Church,

  283. because how many of you know,

  284. church is not like a physical place.

  285. Church is a people, it's the called out ones.

  286. That there are people here

  287. that it is time for you to emerge.

  288. There are ministry giftings here.

  289. It's time for you to emerge.

  290. Where you walk in something new.

  291. That you're not who you were before.

  292. And I sense that even for ministers here,

  293. it is time for you to emerge into something new.

  294. That there is more in you than you have been giving us.

  295. It is time for it to come out.

  296. It is time for it to step forth in the earth.

  297. There is more.

  298. Years ago, I was a younger man.

  299. I'm still young, I'm 39.

  300. But anyway, I was a younger man

  301. and I just started pastoring.

  302. And in this process of pastoring,

  303. I got married to my wonderful wife.

  304. She is my better half.

  305. I love her with all my heart.

  306. She makes my liver quiver.

  307. She is perfection in every way.

  308. And anyway, we got married and we moved.

  309. And it was a real God story.

  310. God gave us this home that was to be a hospital

  311. and a refuge for families.

  312. And so we lived in it for 14 years

  313. and multiple families came and lived with us and emerged.

  314. Something new that the old passed away from them

  315. in that house and they came out of it,

  316. something different.

  317. It's a good thing.

  318. But anyway, I went to bed one night

  319. and sometimes God will speak to you in a dream.

  320. Now this has only happened to me on four different occasions.

  321. And how many of you know, not every time you dream,

  322. is it from the Lord?

  323. If it is, the Holy Spirit will let you know

  324. and you'll know a meaning to it.

  325. And I had a spiritual dream.

  326. It was like one of the more vivid things

  327. I've ever had in a spiritual experience.

  328. And I saw me, but it wasn't me.

  329. It was a whole nother man.

  330. It was about 15 years ago.

  331. It was a whole nother man.

  332. It was me, but it wasn't me.

  333. It was a better version of me.

  334. And I was on an airplane and I saw myself the way I looked,

  335. the way I was dressed,

  336. but I saw the anointing on me,

  337. which is the power of God, the office.

  338. There's varying degrees of offices.

  339. You see a lot of pastors.

  340. There's different degrees of pastors.

  341. There's a lot of teachers.

  342. There's different degrees of teachers.

  343. There's different degrees of teachers.

  344. There's different degrees of teachers.

  345. There's different degrees of teaching.

  346. There's apostles, but there's different levels.

  347. There's higher ranks in God.

  348. And same with every ministry gift.

  349. And I was in a higher office, a different place.

  350. There was an authority and an anointing on me

  351. that there was no similarity

  352. to what I was currently operating in.

  353. So different.

  354. And I got up from this seat

  355. and I start walking down this aisle of the plane.

  356. And there's a guy who now is on my staff.

  357. His name is Robert Berry, but at this time,

  358. he was not on my staff.

  359. He was actually living away from the Lord

  360. in a whole other state.

  361. And I came and I saw him and he's sitting there

  362. and he was different.

  363. And I placed my hand on his shoulder

  364. and I began to speak.

  365. And I didn't hear what I said,

  366. but the anointing of God was just flowing out of me

  367. onto him.

  368. And the anointing is always weighty.

  369. When something is anointed, it's weighty.

  370. It's stickable.

  371. It has a stickability to it.

  372. It's a residue.

  373. It just gets on you and it feels good.

  374. It just, it goes in you and stays with you.

  375. Even after the service,

  376. there's just something resonating from the anointing.

  377. And it was greater than anything I had ever seen.

  378. I could just see it like flowing on to him

  379. and sticking to him.

  380. And then the dream was over and I woke up

  381. and I was bawling, like even in my sleep, I was bawling.

  382. And I knew what it was that I was so far from that man

  383. that the man that I was

  384. was not the man that I could be.

  385. And it was one of the greatest gifts

  386. but also a burden that God ever gave me

  387. because I saw who I could be.

  388. If I was all that I could be.

  389. There's a you in you that's better than the you

  390. you've been giving us.

  391. There's a you in you

  392. that is greater than the person you are.

  393. And it is time for that man

  394. and that woman to emerge, to come out of.

  395. Paul wrote this, if you brought your Bibles,

  396. let's go and look at them to Philippians chapter three.

  397. And we'll just explore this out scripturally.

  398. I want you to notice what Paul said.

  399. These are some of my favorite verses,

  400. Philippians three and verse.

  401. Let's start here in 12 Philippians three 12.

  402. Not that I have already obtained it

  403. or have already become perfect

  404. but I press on so that I may lay hold of

  405. that for which I also was lay hold of by Christ Jesus.

  406. Now let me teach from this just for a moment.

  407. Notice not that I have already become perfect.

  408. What's he saying there?

  409. He's not talking about being perfect in the fact of no sin.

  410. If anyone had no sin,

  411. it would mean they didn't need a savior.

  412. This word perfect means fully mature.

  413. And Paul said, not that I have become fully mature yet.

  414. Like when we see children,

  415. you see that they have muscles or they have a frame

  416. but they're not fully mature yet.

  417. They haven't fully grown into who they could be.

  418. And over the process of time,

  419. just with the natural order of things,

  420. who they are is transforming.

  421. And people will see my children now and they're like,

  422. you've gotten so big and they're still trying

  423. to pinch their face like they're three,

  424. you know, all those kinds of things.

  425. Cause they're looking at them and they're like,

  426. you have emerged.

  427. You have transformed.

  428. You have become something more than you were.

  429. And Paul is saying spiritually speaking,

  430. I haven't become all that I could be.

  431. There is more of Paul than what you see.

  432. And what I've given the world is good,

  433. but there's still more I could grow into.

  434. There's still more I could emerge into.

  435. There's still more I could offer.

  436. And then he backs that up and saying,

  437. not that I have become fully mature yet,

  438. but he said, I am pressing on to obtain

  439. what I have been obtained for.

  440. And he's saying, Christ Jesus obtained me.

  441. And you know Paul's story,

  442. if you've gone to church or kind of read scripture,

  443. Paul was living outside of the will of God.

  444. And one day the Holy spirit through Jesus

  445. like knocks Paul off of his high horse and shows him,

  446. I am the one you've been persecuting

  447. and begins to call forth his high calling

  448. and the place that he is to emerge to shows him that.

  449. And so out of this, he disrupts Paul's life

  450. and he shows him this moment of who he could be.

  451. He obtained Paul.

  452. And for some of you,

  453. it was easier for Jesus to obtain than others.

  454. My father was a drug addict.

  455. He later started the church,

  456. but his mom would chase him down

  457. and like wherever party he was at

  458. and whatever club he was at,

  459. she would just go and place a Bible on the hood of his car

  460. and let him know, I'm contending for you,

  461. I'm praying for you and you know, those kinds of things.

  462. And finally one day he ran out of money and he came home

  463. and she said, if you're going to be here at this house,

  464. you're going to church with me.

  465. And so she drug him to a meeting of a pastor

  466. by the name of James Robinson.

  467. And she drug him to that meeting

  468. and in that service, the Holy Spirit arrested his heart

  469. and he ran down to the altar and he gave his life to Jesus.

  470. Jesus obtained him.

  471. And how many of you know, Jesus,

  472. and if you haven't had that experience today,

  473. you'll have that opportunity.

  474. You can be obtained by Jesus.

  475. But here what Paul is saying is fascinating.

  476. He's saying that Jesus did not just obtain you

  477. because he loves you.

  478. He says that Jesus obtained me

  479. so that I might obtain some things for him.

  480. That I may obtain that which I have been obtained for.

  481. And he says, I know that there's some things

  482. I need to get for his kingdom, do for his kingdom,

  483. provide for his kingdom,

  484. but I cannot obtain those things

  485. that I have been obtained for until I am fully mature,

  486. until I have been made perfect,

  487. until I've come to a place where spiritually speaking,

  488. I've grown into the man that I could be,

  489. that the boy has died and I've put away childish things

  490. and I have emerged in the fullness of my calling,

  491. in the fullness of who God made me be.

  492. And out of this, he keeps talking and it's powerful.

  493. Like these scriptures we gotta come back to

  494. and may the Holy Spirit just make this your anthem this year.

  495. He said, brethren, in verse 13,

  496. I do not regard myself as having lay hold

  497. of those things yet.

  498. I'm not the man I could be yet

  499. and I have not brought into the kingdom

  500. all that I need to bring into the kingdom yet.

  501. He's saying there is more.

  502. There is more in me than I've given you.

  503. I could be an even greater version of me

  504. than the me you have right now.

  505. And what a difference it would be for this nation.

  506. If all of, and not the nations of the world.

  507. If all of us were fully mature.

  508. If all of us had emerged into who God had called us to be.

  509. But he says, not that I have obtained it yet

  510. or have already become perfect,

  511. but I press on, verse 12,

  512. that I press on so I may lay hold on that

  513. for which I have also been laid hold of

  514. of Christ Jesus, brethren.

  515. I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet,

  516. but one thing I do for getting what lies behind me

  517. and reaching forward to what lies ahead,

  518. I press on towards the goal for the prize

  519. of the high calling,

  520. the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

  521. He says there is a high calling on my life

  522. and I know I have not walked in it yet.

  523. I know that I have not seen it yet.

  524. I have not grasped it yet.

  525. And God laid hold of me.

  526. He knocked me off my high horse,

  527. not just because he loved me and wanted me to worship him.

  528. He did this because there are things

  529. that I am designed by him to bring into his kingdom

  530. to do in the earth.

  531. And he said, I am working on becoming that man.

  532. And the thing that I am doing is I am letting go

  533. what is behind me and I'm reaching towards

  534. what is out in front of me.

  535. So that I might become that perfect man,

  536. that mature man, that fully developed man,

  537. because there is a high calling for me yet.

  538. There is still something more

  539. that I could be.

  540. And I just sense for so many of you,

  541. there is still something more

  542. that you could be.

  543. And you could be for this family,

  544. that you could be for this church,

  545. that you could be for your nation,

  546. that you could be for your ministry.

  547. There is still something more

  548. that you could bring to each other

  549. and bring to this place.

  550. There's a greater you in you

  551. than the you we've seen up to this point.

  552. Paul wrote to Timothy and he said,

  553. Timothy, there are some things that you were born with,

  554. but there were some other things that were put into you

  555. through hands that were laid on you.

  556. And he said, you have not given yourself to those things.

  557. You have let those things lie dormant.

  558. And he said, I want you to give yourself to those things.

  559. Why?

  560. He said so that your profiting may appear unto all.

  561. What's he telling Timothy?

  562. Timothy, there's a you in you

  563. that's greater than the you you've been bringing

  564. to this church.

  565. There's a you in you, Timothy,

  566. that if you fully gave yourself over

  567. to what God has placed in you

  568. and the you that is in you emerged for the world

  569. and you stepped up into that high calling

  570. and you stepped up into that place,

  571. you could give something entirely different to your nation

  572. and something entirely different to the world.

  573. You could obtain that which you were designed to obtain.

  574. And I think in all of us,

  575. there's something in that,

  576. even if you've never had a dream and seen it,

  577. there's something all of us that knows that.

  578. There's something all of us that knows

  579. there's a greater version of me.

  580. And we often wonder like, how do I bring that out?

  581. Like how do I give that to the world?

  582. That some of our greatest regrets in life know

  583. that when we left a service, there was more.

  584. That when we left a place, there was more.

  585. That when we even we left a conversation with our wife,

  586. or we interacted with our kids,

  587. like I could have been more there.

  588. How do we bring forth that out?

  589. Everything that God made in the earth

  590. was designed by him to become more than it is.

  591. Everything.

  592. God made a tree in the tree,

  593. a man can get its hands on it and make a chair.

  594. God made gold out of gold.

  595. A man or a woman could get their hand on it

  596. and make it a ring.

  597. God made a rose.

  598. Out of the rose could come a perfume or a fragrance.

  599. Everything that God put on the earth

  600. was designed to become more than it is.

  601. The stone was designed to build roads

  602. and could make concrete that could make a building.

  603. That in the building, people could have things

  604. in the building that were made out of more stone.

  605. Could have tile in their showers or whatever it may be.

  606. Because everything that God made within it

  607. has a hidden potential that is only released

  608. when it's in the hand of a designer,

  609. a hand in the creator.

  610. But the only thing that we cannot develop

  611. the way it needs to be developed is ourselves.

  612. Everything else that God made,

  613. he gave us dominion over the works of his hands,

  614. which means our hands can take it

  615. and make it into something it was called to be.

  616. But the only thing your hand cannot change is you.

  617. It is not by works or any of the works of ourselves

  618. that we could ever be fully mature

  619. or step in our high callings.

  620. There's only one hand that can release you and me

  621. into the people God has called us to be.

  622. And you know whose hand it is?

  623. It's the Lord's.

  624. And this is why God doesn't need your perfection.

  625. And thank God for it.

  626. He doesn't need your perfection.

  627. He needs your surrender.

  628. Where you allow his hand to come into your life

  629. and begin to make you who you were called to be.

  630. And it will not be found in times of just goofing off

  631. and giving an entertainment.

  632. It will not be found in times of just coasting through life

  633. and not being with the Lord.

  634. It will be found in those times of surrender.

  635. For Joseph, you know who was found?

  636. In a pit.

  637. It was found in a prison.

  638. God found Joseph there and made him fully mature.

  639. And when he was ready, he emerged.

  640. For Jesus, it was in the wilderness.

  641. In the wilderness, he spent time with God

  642. resisting the enemy, giving himself over to the Lord's hand.

  643. And it was time he emerged.

  644. For Moses, it was a burning bush

  645. where he took off the shoes of his feet

  646. because he made a decision.

  647. I am standing on holy ground.

  648. I'm not bringing the world into God's presence.

  649. And when he took off the world,

  650. took off the sandals on his feet,

  651. he emerged something different from time with God.

  652. For David, he emerged from the wilderness.

  653. A repentant man,

  654. emerged from the wilderness with a forgiving heart of Saul.

  655. And all that Saul did to him

  656. in the work of the Lord was fully accomplished.

  657. He emerged as king.

  658. The emerging does not happen without time in God's hand.

  659. And for many of you,

  660. that's exactly what's been going on in this season.

  661. You have faced a season of uncertainty.

  662. You have faced a season of just things changing in the earth.

  663. The whole world has with COVID.

  664. All over the world, it's been a season of seed time.

  665. A season where God is trying to get something out of you

  666. to let it get a root established in the earth,

  667. where something is changing in you.

  668. And seed time, something is changing in you.

  669. And harvest time, something is changing for you.

  670. And you've been going through a time of seed time

  671. where you feel a rumbling in you

  672. and a stirring in you that there is more.

  673. And it's been brought about to bring a time of surrender,

  674. a time of dedication,

  675. a time where you give yourself over to the Lord.

  676. And out of that, you can sense that work of the Spirit,

  677. even in your own heart, just a time of transition,

  678. a time of change, a time where old things,

  679. this one thing Paul said,

  680. I let go of what is behind me.

  681. It's been a season of letting go.

  682. A season of like having something in the past

  683. that you know is to remain in the past

  684. and not in the present and you let it go.

  685. And you sense a stirring to reach forward.

  686. What is that?

  687. It's the work of the Spirit in your own heart.

  688. Why?

  689. Because there's designed by God for an emergence

  690. and that's what this season is.

  691. It's a season of emerging different

  692. where every vestige of the old has passed away.

  693. I was in a meeting in Louisiana.

  694. And some of you were actually in that meeting

  695. and someone got up and gave this statement.

  696. It's been something that's just been,

  697. oh, it's just stirring in me.

  698. And I sense that even for now,

  699. and it was talking about Jacob.

  700. And it said that Jacob could not be Jacob any longer.

  701. There came a time in Jacob's life

  702. where Jacob could not be Jacob any longer.

  703. And he knew it.

  704. That I am not the man I could be.

  705. Jacob, his name meant deceiver, swindler.

  706. And he knew to continue in his journey.

  707. He couldn't be the man he needed to be.

  708. And so what did he do?

  709. He set up a moment at Bethel,

  710. a meeting place with God.

  711. He got out of here,

  712. a meeting place with God.

  713. He got out of his hands and God in God's.

  714. And he set up a meeting at Bethel

  715. and God came down and wrestled with him.

  716. He said, I will not let you go until you bless me.

  717. I will not let you go until you bless me.

  718. And you know how God blessed him?

  719. Didn't give him a new house or a new car.

  720. You know how God blessed him?

  721. He changed him.

  722. He changed him.

  723. Jacob could not be Jacob any longer.

  724. And there are things in you that cannot be any longer.

  725. There's identities you've held about yourself

  726. that cannot be on you any longer.

  727. There are labels that your parents put on you

  728. that were not correct labels.

  729. And God has been trying to strip those labels off of you.

  730. There are limitations that the world

  731. and maybe even family members put on you,

  732. but those limitations cannot be there any longer.

  733. The disciples could not see five loaves and two fish,

  734. anything out of it coming more.

  735. So they're looking at it and it's like,

  736. what is this among so many?

  737. And that's what so many of you have had done to you.

  738. They're looking at you and you're looking at yourself.

  739. And it's like, but what is this

  740. compared to the destiny I have?

  741. Compared to the need that is there

  742. and you're lightly esteeming who you are.

  743. And God says, stop.

  744. You've been five loaves and two fish long enough.

  745. Get in my hand, let me break you.

  746. Get in my hand, let me change you.

  747. Get in my hand and after I break you, let me bless you.

  748. And you will be multiplied

  749. and you will feed many in Jesus' name.

  750. You cannot be who you are any longer.

  751. There is a breaking and there is a blessing

  752. and there is you becoming more.

  753. And that's what God has been doing in this season.

  754. So they can not strange that which has concerns you.

  755. They can not strange what you've walked through

  756. as an individual and what you've walked through

  757. as a family.

  758. It is a breaking down to the core

  759. where you are fully surrendered before God,

  760. fully placed in his hand.

  761. There's been the breaking

  762. and now there's coming the blessing.

  763. When that five loaves and two fish emerges

  764. into something that is literally feeding the Lord.

  765. Eating the whole group.

  766. Jacob cannot be Jacob any longer.

  767. He must emerge into something different.

  768. And for so many of you, that's what you've done.

  769. And maybe there's others that you still feel,

  770. no, there's still a breaking Pastor Joe.

  771. Good, let the Father finish the work.

  772. Let the Father finish the work.

  773. Stay in his hand until you sense a breaking.

  774. In my own life, I still sense that,

  775. that there are things that are breaking.

  776. I was preaching at a place, not my church,

  777. but I was preaching at a different place.

  778. And I felt different.

  779. You can feel the anointing on you

  780. when it's there and when it's not.

  781. And you can feel it in different dimensions.

  782. It's fascinating how it works sometimes.

  783. But out of that, I could feel something different.

  784. And a guy came down to me after service.

  785. He said, while you were preaching, I had a vision.

  786. And he said, when you went and stood over here,

  787. it was like you changed into a whole nother man.

  788. And then you came back to the center

  789. and you changed back to who you were.

  790. And then you went and walked over here

  791. and you changed into a whole nother man.

  792. And then you walked back there

  793. and you changed into who you were.

  794. He's like, who you were over there was a better version

  795. of who you were over here.

  796. And God says you're in the middle of change.

  797. And you know what?

  798. He's right.

  799. I'm in the middle still of that season

  800. where something is emerging in me.

  801. And I know what it is.

  802. And it's just time spent with him

  803. where he breaks certain things in you

  804. and washes certain things off of you.

  805. There are things by his grace you are letting go of.

  806. And some of these things, they're not sins, they're weights.

  807. Because there's a difference between weights and sins.

  808. And Hebrews 12, Paul said that I have to let go

  809. of certain things to run my race and finish my course.

  810. And the spirit of God will help you let go of sins,

  811. but the Holy Spirit will also help you let go of weights.

  812. And weights sometimes are limitations

  813. that the world has put on you.

  814. Weights are sometimes the labels that a mom put on you

  815. at six, seven, eight years old

  816. that you didn't even know was there.

  817. The Holy Spirit shows you like you're thinking

  818. so little of yourself because of this weight

  819. that is holding you down.

  820. And the spirit of God begins to rename you

  821. and begin to give you confidence in that area.

  822. And you begin dropping those weights

  823. and you drop those limitations because these things,

  824. they trip us up.

  825. You remember in Matthew 25, he gave a parable

  826. where he gave one five talents, another one two,

  827. and another one one.

  828. And the guy who had the one talent,

  829. he didn't do anything with what God gave him.

  830. He didn't mature it, he didn't grow it.

  831. Nothing emerged out of his one talent.

  832. And when the Lord came to him and said,

  833. why did nothing emerge or come out of this?

  834. You know what he said, I was afraid.

  835. You know what ultimately he was afraid of?

  836. That he wouldn't be enough.

  837. The guy who had two talents, such a boldness to step up.

  838. This will grow, this will be good, this will win.

  839. Such a courage to step up into that guy with five talents.

  840. Step up, arose to that place.

  841. Step into that place.

  842. Such confidence to take what God had given him

  843. that it could turn into something more.

  844. But the guy with one said, I was afraid.

  845. And he said, I looked at other people

  846. and it just looks like it happened so easy for them

  847. that they reap where they have not sown

  848. and they plan and they get a harvest.

  849. And all of these things, they just come so easy.

  850. And some of you, you've done that.

  851. You've looked at other people.

  852. It's like it's so easy for them.

  853. It's just so easy for them to walk in that.

  854. It's just so easy for them to have provision.

  855. It's just so easy for them to sing.

  856. It's just so easy for them to be anointed.

  857. And God is like, you are neglecting to see

  858. what is actually in you.

  859. And you're not taking that step up

  860. because you feel the fear of not being enough.

  861. And in every one of these instances

  862. with men and women that God did the work in,

  863. you know what, they had that same fear.

  864. When God called Moses, it's like, I can't do this.

  865. I can't step up into that.

  866. And so even after God had finished the perfect,

  867. and he was mature, ready for the race,

  868. he still had to step up into that emergence,

  869. step up into that call.

  870. That's what Paul was saying to Timothy.

  871. It's like, Timothy, the prophecies are already in you, man.

  872. Hands have already been laid on you.

  873. You are more than what you've given us.

  874. Step up into that place.

  875. Jesus had that moment in Luke four.

  876. We were talking about it the other day.

  877. I never seen it in this light,

  878. but when he comes in Luke four and says,

  879. the spirit of the Lord is upon me,

  880. for he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the,

  881. and he starts listing all these things.

  882. You know what he's doing?

  883. He's stepping up into that place.

  884. And he's saying, let me tell you who I am.

  885. And somebody says, well, Pastor Joel,

  886. I don't want to get into pride.

  887. Stop calling it pride.

  888. Paul said in Romans 13, I magnify my office.

  889. God has made me the apostle to the Gentiles.

  890. What's he saying?

  891. I know who I am.

  892. They came to John and they said, are you this?

  893. Are you this?

  894. He's like, no, I am the one who goes before the Lord.

  895. I am the voice who prepares the way.

  896. He was confident in who he was.

  897. He emerged into his calling.

  898. Jesus said, the spirit of the Lord is upon me.

  899. He stepped up into that place without that fear

  900. and without that shame.

  901. He knew who he was.

  902. And sometimes to step up into the place where you are,

  903. you got to let go of the place that you were.

  904. That can't be your identity anymore.

  905. And sometimes that's very dangerous to lose that identity

  906. because you feel like you're losing a part of yourself.

  907. But until you let go of what you were,

  908. you can't step up into who you are

  909. and to step up into your high calling.

  910. And for so many of you, it is time for that emergence

  911. and you've got to have that boldness to take that step.

  912. You've got to have that courage to step up into that office.

  913. You've got to have the courage that when you are fully mature

  914. and you're ready to step up into that place.

  915. And for so many of you, by the end of this year,

  916. you've got to step up.

  917. And somebody says, what does that look like?

  918. Let God finish the breaking, but then let Him bless you.

  919. For some of you, you think,

  920. well, I just want to stay on the sidelines

  921. and just be humble.

  922. And God's like, you're not being humble.

  923. You're being irresponsible.

  924. What did you do with what I gave you?

  925. Well, I didn't want to fail and I let them do it.

  926. I just went kind of buried it.

  927. And I was like, no, I gave it to you to use

  928. and I gave it to you because they need it.

  929. You're not being humble.

  930. You're being fearful.

  931. You're being irresponsible.

  932. Step up, emerge.

  933. And so I just pray by the spirit of God

  934. that God just arrest who you are on the inside of you.

  935. And you just make a decision that the old you, it is dead,

  936. it is over.

  937. I let go of those things that are behind me

  938. and I'm pressing forward to what is out in front of me.

  939. I'm not going to be limited by my past anymore.

  940. The only thing that limits me is the promise of God

  941. that He has made me and I'm going to walk in each

  942. and every one of those promises be all that I can be

  943. and walk in the fullness of who God has made me to be.

  944. In Jesus' name, amen.

  945. It's time for you to emerge, church.

  946. Amen.

  947. Hey, church.

  948. Thank you so much for your patience

  949. and just for your time of letting the Lord work

  950. in the lives of people.

  951. And let's just have a moment, every about, every I closed.

  952. If you're here today and just feel like there's something

  953. in me that needs to emerge, there's something in me

  954. that needs to change.

  955. There's something in me that's ready to come out,

  956. a past that needs to be let go of,

  957. a newness that needs to start.

  958. Every head is bowed, every eye is closed.

  959. But if that's you, just lift up your hands.

  960. No one's looking at this.

  961. It's just something that ain't in so many.

  962. Father, in the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus wash you.

  963. Every bit of the past off you emerge into who you've been

  964. designed to be, emerge into who you've been called to be.

  965. In the name of Jesus, step up into your true identity.

  966. Step up into who God has called you to be.

  967. Walk in that maturity, walk in that perfection.

  968. Be carried by his grace, be transformed by his hand.

  969. And from this point forward, you be never the same.

  970. Never the same in Jesus' name.

  971. Amen and amen.

  972. Hallelujah.

  973. Amen.

  974. I was praying for you this morning and I just saw you.

  975. And we were talking about last night of how the light called fire

  976. and looked like fake glory, you know, that kind of thing.

  977. But I saw like a glory coming out of you that was like the real thing.

  978. And people just under it.

  979. And I just sense like you are worthy of that.

  980. You are worthy for that to come out of you.

  981. And operating in that sense of worthiness is like a valve that's when it's open

  982. and operating in that sense of worthiness releases it.

  983. And that it's not something out here that brings it.

  984. It's something in there that like when that valve just shifts into worthiness.

  985. That Jesus has made you worthy to release that in the earth.

  986. That you've seen measures and dimensions of it, but there is so much more.

  987. And it's that one little shift of like I am worthy of it because Jesus has made me worthy

  988. and Jesus has put it in me and that's enough.

  989. But I thank God for what he has put in you.

  990. And it will be released in Jesus name and the name of Jesus.

  991. Love you, brother.

  992. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

  993. And I just say for you like you've been tried in fire and I don't know your full story,

  994. but I just see like this try to fire, but it has outcome like this pure vessel that is strong.

  995. That the impurity has been burned out of it by a fire.

  996. And out of that it has produced a spiritual strength and it's operated in prayer and operated in prophecy.

  997. But those things are getting bigger and taking that authority in that place and prayer and ruling with that strength and tearing down principalities and changing things,

  998. but also teaching prophetically, teaching under the inspiration of the spirit and teaching and leading with that and operating in the prophetic.

  999. And I want that come out of you for that strength has been refined and what man meant for evil God worked for good and put a strength in you that will not bow.

1000. It will not bend, but it is a weapon in the hand of the Lord.

1001. Amen. And then he is using you and the fullness of how he's using you is just beginning in Jesus name and the name of Jesus.

1002. And I know I said a little bit this yesterday, I just see new people all around you, just new people and like what you were just operating in.

1003. Yes, yes, yes, walk in that, be bold in that and you have been, but that's that's good.

1004. That's good. That's the Lord walk in that, but it'll bring.

1005. I just see new people, new people, new faces, just new things all around you and leaders all around you a multiplication of them and they are your people.

1006. They are your people all around you and it's it's healthy and strong and just a multiplication of you in Jesus name.

1007. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

  1008. You come here.

1009. You remind me so much of Peter like quick to step out and just quick to open your mouth. It's a good thing. It's not a bad thing.

1010. But like Peter, there's a Simon and a Peter in you.

1011. And out of that, you've sent some of those things that sometimes Simon manifests and sometimes Peter manifests and it's like, which one will you be today?

1012. What the Lord says you are Peter.

1013. That is who you are.

1014. And you are a rock who is strong in Jesus and strong in God.

1015. So let the Lord build on you.

1016. Let the Father claim you name you and all those other labels of man. Let it just fall off of you.

1017. You are Peter and upon this the Lord will build something in his kingdom and out of this the Lord will bring forth something mighty.

1018. Father, we thank you for your strength, for your anointing.

  1019. Amen.

1020. You are the rock. Rock in Jesus name.

1021. Fishermen of men in Jesus name.

  1022. Thank you Lord Jesus.

  1023. Hallelujah.

  1024. Father, we bless you.

  1025. You're so wonderful.

1026. You're so wonderful Lord Jesus.

  1027. We bless you.

  1028. In Jesus name.
