  1. You're listening to a message to go from X Church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your tea. The title says life lessons from a baker,

  3. but not me the baker. Okay, if there are any bakers in the

  4. house, don't shoot me, okay, because you might be like, there,

  5. okay, I bake. I love baking, And I say baking is

  6. a science unlike cooking. Cooking is an art. I tell you. People

  7. say, how do I give me recipe, A bit of discipit of dead

  8. you know, give me recipe, don't know a love, a bit of

  9. discipine of how to go? All right? I give I mean run down,

  10. I don't know. I don't give me. Give me measurements, cups,

  11. tea, spoons, tablespoons, you know. And then they're like,

  12. yeah, just cook club from the heart, are you No. I'm so

  13. I'm a better baker than I am a cook and cooking dishes or the nonya

  14. dishes or the I can't I need I need instructions. So baking is a

  15. science, all right, You've got measurements a man, so a live lessons

  16. from a base but not me. I was just watching another baker. Um.

  17. I think overnight became famous because she baked the cake for Prince Harry and

  18. Megan for their wedding. And then wow, you know, because she must

  19. be a good baker as well. And I was just listening to something and

  20. I kind of like caught a message. Don't shoot me. Okay, okay.

  21. If you think these techniques don't work, okayla, but this is what

  22. I think. I also believe. Okay, it works. I tried it

  23. before. But anyway, life lessons from a baker and where am I coming

  24. from. So if you haven't baked before, if your baking is failed,

  25. now you try these techniques later so that you're you know, your your muffin,

  26. don't become like stone, your scone, don't become like stone, you

  27. know, and then you can sell. Don't forget. I have to tell

  28. you. My caracupcakes were sold and wanted by Starbucks, but I couldn't service

  29. them. But it went to other cafes many years ago, and we started

  30. a cafe as a youth center. So all my Cara cup cakes went out

  31. to different cafes around town San Francisco, Coffee Bog Cafe, Coffee Club,

  32. everything of all my fudge cakes, all our food went out aside from us

  33. serving in the youth center. So I can bake a little bit, but

  34. have not been baking for a long time. So when you don't bake for

  35. a long time, you forget all your techniques. So I have to learn

  36. again, lack. Anyways, I am going to be drawing from different portions

  37. of scripture. I wanted to just perhaps draw us draw our attention to something

  38. that's not baking. But I'm not drawing out of this analogy, but only

  39. to say that this is what God does in our lives. So Isaiah chapter

  40. sixty Isaiah chapter sixty four and verse eight. And then you know why,

  41. why and why I'm going into baking, but has nothing to do with baking.

  42. It's something else. And I'm not a message for another day, Okay.

  43. It says here in Isaiah sixty four Isaias sixty four and verse eight.

  44. It says here, But now, oh Lord, you are our father.

  45. We are the clay, and you are our potter, and all we are

  46. the work, and all we are the work of your hands. Amen.

  47. So God is the potter and we are the clay. So any of you

  48. who likes pottery, I love pottery. I'm really bad at it. I'm

  49. still learning. Um, you know that which you know this? This,

  50. this little passage just tells you that you know. Heaven rules. Amen.

  51. The Lord God is the one who moles us and makes us and we are

  52. clay. So does the clay tell the potter I don't want to look like

  53. this? No chance, Okay, the potter will make it the way he

  54. thinks. This vase is gonna look all, this ball is gonna look like

  55. and and so coming from that as our theme even this year, I think

  56. it's so apt. I just love the word Heaven rules. In Cantonese.

  57. I like to say, ten, young man, all right, Heaven has

  58. eyes. You know. The Lord sees everything, and there's a good thing.

  59. And because Heaven sees everything, the Lord sees our lives. Amen.

  60. And he's interested in our lives. He knows he's working. And even when

  61. things happen, not because he put us there, because life circumstances happen,

  62. he still sees and he makes a way for us. So I want to

  63. encourage us in our matureing, in our growing up, in our faith,

  64. in our faith and our walk in Jesus. There are different things that we

  65. can look into and so I'm giving us lessons from a baker, all right,

  66. So for all the bakers in our house. If I happen to not

  67. say it right, forgive me. But I tried some of these techniques.

  68. Okay. Number one. Now I wanted to start in the positive instead of

  69. saying don't, so I went with the positive. But don't take it literally

  70. loud. Okay. Number one. It says undermix the mix, all right,

  71. undermix, which if the other word is don't overmix. Okay, Now,

  72. when you stir, I don't know how many of you, how many

  73. of you have done baking before? Yeah, no, oh yes, oh

  74. my goodness, you don't make I've been making since I was a teen.

  75. Okay, all right, all right making? When's why I'm still learning.

  76. So the word is undermix, or in another word, I'm saying don't over

  77. mix, all right. So if any of you have tried baking before,

  78. like say muffins, if you overmix your muffins, that's why it becomes stone

  79. hard. Yeah, it's like you know, you can drawn pass John if

  80. I don't know, So it's like too hard over mixing, and so what

  81. about the overmixing? So um, undermix? Um? When you uh,

  82. okay. I wanted to give you the what's the connection with undermix? Um,

  83. don't overmix? And I've given us a point, which is make room

  84. for God to work in your life. Make room, all right, make

  85. room so Galatians chapter two and verse twenty. Thank you XTV for helping me

  86. and making my slights better than when I gave it to you. Galatians Chapter

  87. two and verse twenty. You all know this verse. It's one of our

  88. favorite verses, but it's hard to live by it because it's sometimes we just

  89. want to do it a way. Okay. Galatians Chapter two and verse twenty.

  90. It says I have been crucified with Christ. WHOA what does that mean?

  91. I have been crucified with Christ. I'm dead, all right. It

  92. is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me and the life

  93. which I now live in the flesh. I live by faith in the Son

  94. of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Amen and hallelujah.

  95. You and I are living today because we live by faith in the Son

  96. of God, and we have been the only reason why we can live in

  97. the faith in Christ is because we've been crucified. Okay, how many of

  98. you know crucified dead people don't wake up? I see dead people, okay,

  99. all right, when someone is dead, they don't come out, they

  100. don't rise again, resurrect again. Let's America rise up again? And you

  101. know, like if for example, if example, if if um okay,

  102. I use Auntie Mabel okay, Elder Maibel like if let's say elder Maibels,

  103. you know, lying there like dead, okay. Then I walked by her

  104. and I say, Neibel, I told you so, your cake's not nice.

  105. And now you're gone. Then she's supposed to be crucifying Christ dead.

  106. Really she wakes up? You say one, I'm gonna get you. No

  107. dead person rise us up to give you, you know comment after the end?

  108. Go down there again? No, right, when you're crucifying Christ,

  109. dead people don't rise up again. They did. We're dead to ourselves and

  110. we are alive in Christ. So why has he got to do it?

  111. And mix? Well? To Mila, you know, and we mix better?

  112. How do it mix better? We have some eggs, we put some

  113. sugar in it, we beat it up, and then later we might put

  114. some chocolate or depending you know. Before now undermixing, if you're making a

  115. flawless cake. A lot of people like to have flowless cake. It's best

  116. not to overmix. Undermix is the best, and then you don't have to

  117. mix until everything you know ruppy. You know, so some people love to

  118. mix. Even if you had flower, it will mix and it mix it

  119. mix it. Think, well, the more mix and more nice it looks,

  120. you know, like everything is so mix and so nice that you'll be

  121. a great cake. Wrong, your cake will be heavy, it will deflate,

  122. it won't rise, it won't be a nice cake. Lah. Okay,

  123. And especially if you're making a like a brownie orby cement a brownie or

  124. a flawless chocolate cake, and you keep mixing it mix it, and we

  125. see when you get a cake, but it won't be nice. It'll be

  126. very very hard. So in our lives, you know that that mixing is

  127. like I want to cover every ground. I want to plan everything, I

  128. want to do everything. Every chocolate must get into the mix, every piece

  129. of fruit must be there, everything must be covered. Don't leave any flower.

  130. There's no room. There's no room for air and the lightness. But

  131. it's all compacted already. I think in our lives, give yourself room to

  132. the Lord to work in our lives. So important you plan everything, you

  133. want to cover every corner of your life, plan your kids, future,

  134. your future. Everything wants good to plan. But make some room, make

  135. some room for Jesus to work and bring the lightness and bring the tastiness.

  136. Oh yum, are we not hungry and have a wonderful flowless chocolate orange cake?

  137. WHOA? Come on? All right? If you over mix because you

  138. just you want everything to be just so nicely covered, it tends to be

  139. a little bit hard. Is that true? Bakers in the house. I

  140. don't know how many bakers in our house? All right, expresso? Okay,

  141. so we want to be able to mix the wet ingredients and the dry

  142. ingredients. But you don't have to mix it because some people say, let's

  143. just keep mixing, and you keep mixing. Actually you need to fold it

  144. in, fold it in, fold it in, and then you've got the

  145. lightness, got enough air. Your kid will will rise. It won't sink.

  146. A lot of people say, my kicks sank, yes, dipped in

  147. the middle. So don't overmix. Just undermix it a little bit and it

  148. will have nice air so that it can rise in our lives. Give some

  149. room. Don't have to cover every corner, plant everything, but say,

  150. Lord, here's room for you to work in my life. I've done everything

  151. I could, but we want to make room. Friends. If we're gonna

  152. grow in our faith, if we're gonna allow God to add his very fingerprint

  153. on our lives, would you make room for Jesus. Come on, don't

  154. be the inn. That's it. I'm sorry, Mary, there's no room

  155. for you to give birth to Jesus. If only that hotel realized who he

  156. was going to a house, he would have said, hey, okay,

  157. I'll throw out the other feln and bring you in the King of Kings,

  158. and the Lord of Lords was going to be born in his hotel. It

  159. will be the best well known hotel. Everybody want to touch that bed,

  160. you know, all right? So you you you just need to allow for

  161. some room. When I say room, meaning when you see God day to

  162. day, you're asking the Lord to come in. Lord this area in my

  163. life. You know my attitude, Hey Lord, my character, Hey Lord,

  164. my relationship, in my marriage, Hey Lord, my relationships, or

  165. my workplace. You're giving room to the Lord. So don't keep trying to

  166. mix in and get yourself all mixed up, and then like, I'm all

  167. covered. These are my plans. But say Lord, I've got that's freedom

  168. for you. You. I know God Heaven rules, and he rules,

  169. but sometimes we just block him out. And then you wonder, how come

  170. it's not happening my way. But it's not my way. It's his way

  171. and man, and we all go through that. I go through that,

  172. you go through that. It we just want to cover all grounds. See,

  173. I've done everything. I'm so good. Ah, those of you are

  174. very good administrators, very good heavy war if I touch you on you like,

  175. oh no, no, cannot No, We've got very good I mean

  176. I'm an administrator myself like things, but I'm not as terror as some people

  177. in the house here. They are so good. Really, we are so

  178. blessed that we can run events. Yeah, but all I'm saying if suddenly

  179. there's who fi Okay, like you move the fridge, okay, you move

  180. my program. No, we need to be able to make room, keep

  181. ourselves light and not heavy and burdened down by our own plans. And that's

  182. why God is constantly speaking to us that he is working in our lives.

  183. If you read through Scripture. You will find that the Lord's hand print is

  184. on every part of the lives of the people in the Bible, and even

  185. people who who are living on planet Earth today. Why some people, you

  186. know, some of us will experience the miracles of you know, because we

  187. take those steps of faith, while others like way things too. Why maybe

  188. we plan too much, Maybe we're afraid to trust God. The one person

  189. you don't have to be afraid to trust is our father God. He loves

  190. us, He has plans that he wants us to He wants to unveil to

  191. us bit by bit No No. Some one three nine, A great some

  192. to read that it says that he starts towards us are like the sand on

  193. the seashore. I want to remind you God starts towards you out so much.

  194. Amen, Come on, guys, your lives are so so you know,

  195. a beautiful canvase, and God gives you the opportunity to to just live

  196. your life with his goodness and his blessing. Just try to make room for

  197. him so that he can do the extra for you. Amen, that little

  198. bit more and then you see your miracle. And He's done that for us

  199. right here in acts. So many of you've experienced that, that little extra

  200. and you made room for him. He's done that for our church, that

  201. little extra that happens. And wow, how come we can do this?

  202. We only can because we make room for God. We never tell God can't

  203. touch this, No, no, no, can't. If you keep doing

  204. that, you won't see that extra something in the Lord. Allow God to

  205. touch your plans, Allow God to touch your lives. Allow him to say

  206. something, just so that you're assured that God is with you and that when

  207. that door opens, it's from the Lord. Hey, the devil can open

  208. doors for you also, But I don't want you to lose your soul and

  209. lose your family and do all that because you thought that was God's way.

  210. Come up, he give him room. But listen and be open to his

  211. word as he leads us one step at a time. Amen. So friends,

  212. don't overmix, just a little bit of an undermixing, and then your

  213. life has a lightness and a nice crisp, crispness around the cake. Yeah,

  214. and it won't diep It's gonna rise and it will be a beautiful,

  215. flawless chocolate orange cake. WHOA Yeah, you know, and you allow the

  216. Holy Spirit, the oil of the Holy Spirit. Friends, if you're doing

  217. the orange chocolate cake, that one when you zest the orange, don't zest

  218. it on your paper on a plate, zested straight on your batter, so

  219. that the oils of the orange will fall together with the zest and you get

  220. that essence and it won't be wasted. Hey, when the Holy Spirit's oil

  221. anointing is allowed to fall on you, all of it will just annoint your

  222. life. Every one of us has that possibility. If you just open up

  223. and say, Lord, I want that essence, I want that anointing.

  224. I don't smell like orange, but I want the Holy Spirit annointing in my

  225. work. In a way it work. How you know, God give you

  226. good success in your workplace, in your family life, in your friendships,

  227. in your relationships. God's favor, God's goodness, God's quickening. Don't go

  228. there, don't do this. This is not the time to say this.

  229. Under mixing gives God's space to work in your Life's amen, it's powerful,

  230. it's amazing. Again, we don't want to carry burdens and heaviness unnecessarily.

  231. If it's there, we've got to go through it. Yes, but don't

  232. have to take it on. We always exchange it with the yoke that Jesus

  233. gives us its light. And I want us to experience just the fullness,

  234. for us to grow to be lighter, lightweight, don't overmix, undermix.

  235. And for me, you know it really is. If I have been crucified

  236. with Christ, then it's no longer either lives. Meaning, Lord, you

  237. have your way, and I just want to learn to submit it. And

  238. we're all in that journey of submitting and trusting God for every step of the

  239. way. Amen. And there's a great verse for you to memorize. You

  240. know. I memorize the scripture, and sometimes when I fail, I just

  241. go back to the verse and crack to the Lord. I'm sorry, Lord,

  242. I wasn't very crucified that day. I allowed myself to wake up and

  243. respond badly to that situation. So Lord, I come back and I submit

  244. to you. Have your way. Lord, I've been crucified with you.

  245. I have died you. You have come a life, the life I now

  246. live, the life each of us is living right now. It's a life

  247. you're living by faith, Amen, by faith in the Son of God who

  248. loved you and me to give himself for us. He shed blood for us,

  249. He hung on the cross for us. Amen. He crucified so that

  250. we are We don't have to, you know, be crucified physically. But

  251. He's taken all of our sin, all of our past, all of our

  252. failures, and given us new life. Amen. Amen. So if you're

  253. gonna make a cake today, remember and the mix. Okay, just a

  254. little bit, just nice, so that you have a nice left on your

  255. cake. In your own spiritual life. Make room for God, people,

  256. make tell your neighbor. Wake the person up and say, make room for

  257. God in your life. Tell the other neighbor you're gonna have a nice cake.

  258. Okay, hallelujah Amen. Under mix. Second point is okay, this

  259. one under whip, well not not whipping before okay, whipping. You're like

  260. when you whip cream and you whip egg whites. The whipping so what my

  261. picture that can't see there? Okay. So for the longest time when I

  262. had to do egg white whipping, they always give you the recipe whip until

  263. stiff peaks form. So it's so stiffe that when you turn your your your

  264. ball upside down, the egg whites won't drop because it's stiff. So now

  265. the technique is to under whip, under whip a little so that it brings

  266. also adds lightness. It has to be the consistency of your better, not

  267. harder than you're better, not more tough, but just about the same because

  268. he's whipped. But it's just at about the same consistency. So those of

  269. you who bake, you know what I'm saying. If you're not into baking,

  270. enjoy the cake we give you. Okay, all right, all right,

  271. So underwhipping, why if you if you usually recipes says oh until stiff

  272. peaks. Uh, they say that, but this baker says, she likes

  273. to underwhip it a little bit so that it flows into the better. And

  274. for me that underwhip here I I put it down as um, Oh what

  275. did I write there? Give me me? Yeah, make room for change,

  276. make room for time has been ability for change. One is for room

  277. for God to work in your life. But then allowing for change. Amen,

  278. all right, give yes, make space for God to work. Then

  279. make room for change because change is the greatest enemy to us. Yes,

  280. all right. Wow, when something changes in our lives, we super react.

  281. We're very super react, very super Oh my word. When when our

  282. church moved into decentralized, the central decentralized Asian, we all moved out and

  283. who like every launch you know, the power fire came on me and my

  284. husband like pasta useless for earp oh, go angry this and we're still here.

  285. Are you here with us? Are you here with us? You're here?

  286. Look, we are reaping what we listen to, what God says,

  287. we can you if you don't be flexible, if you just think us,

  288. I can't like like change. I'm so resistant. I want to know it

  289. now. I want everything now. No, we've got life. You want

  290. to know now. Come on, Mom's nine months pregnant. You shot it,

  291. man, Papa, it takes nine months. You wish the baby could

  292. come out right now, but it's nine months. Wow. Nine months of

  293. carrying is fun for halfway, and then the next halfway is like I can't

  294. sleep, I can't sleep. I need these I need my back ache and

  295. the others know some moms we have other digestional or whatever. I don't know,

  296. different things that happened, but it's change. And if you don't make

  297. room for change, the moment the baby comes, Hey, when the baby

  298. comes, your life changes, Your sleep leaves you. Your child has no

  299. timing. Went to poop last night. One of my Singapore team members said,

  300. yes, the husband went off to France for work. And then she

  301. said I was left with the child was waking up at two am and four

  302. am? Why? She said, I haven't slept. Wow, our life

  303. changes. But even as you become a parent, if you want to be

  304. a parent, you you better get ready. Otherwise hang on the change.

  305. You have to be flexible to change. Whipping and over whipping. Oh I'NTI

  306. so stiff, readier, I cannot move. Don't touch me any I ain't

  307. moving right, You gotta be let some flexibility come in. We are so

  308. resistant to change any kind of change in your office, in your life,

  309. in your church and your community. Change change, Prime Minister. Change?

  310. Why why by George or jungle? All right? So we're like going wrong.

  311. I cannot take change. But life is about change. And every stage

  312. of your life has changed. Every stage of your life from from the day

  313. you were born. Moments change as a parent, you have to change with

  314. your child as a as a young teenager. But poor teenager, I just

  315. hated my teenager. What teenage life like? Why? Do I look like

  316. this? I don't know, Like, what is this right? I'm supposed

  317. to be a good Why do I look like a boy? Oh? My

  318. goodness? And my teenagers like, oh the worst? You know, Like

  319. everybody called me like, hey, are you your father's brother? No,

  320. I'm a girl. You know. It didn't help. I want to cut

  321. my hands so short? I look like what the boys? I always watch

  322. jeans so like, you know, And that's change. Change boys, change,

  323. voice, body changes, everything changes whoa suddenly? And then I and

  324. I watch you grow and then whoa beauty? After that, as you go

  325. into your campus and young adult where you learn to put something else on your

  326. face and it makes better change your spects, take away your spects? Change?

  327. Are you and I flexible with change? Don't be afraid of change?

  328. If you continue to be resistance, it's difficult because the harder you put your

  329. hold on and don't want to change, then you really will overwhip your life

  330. and you cannot move. I want to encourage us. God, let the

  331. people of Israel in the desert, right in the in the desert, out

  332. of Egypt and going to Promised Land. I honestly, have you read it?

  333. Have you read it a lot. You haven't. Please read the Book

  334. of Exodus and Deuteronomy and numbers. That was change all the time. They

  335. would camp in this place for two days and then the Lord would say,

  336. move. Huh, we just so need build toilet. No, God,

  337. now you want us to take up our toilet again? Move by move?

  338. When then they move? When an they stay in one place for five years?

  339. Wow? Getting used to it? And then the Lord says move.

  340. They moved like I think they had forty camps. I mean, I'm not

  341. mistaken, around forty odd camps before they reached the Promised Land. I think

  342. if all of us were there, we mum rounda already we sure, mom

  343. Ronda and say are you God? Who are you? Are you making me

  344. move from one place to another place? And not just not you, you

  345. know, your children and your grandfather and your father, and your cows and

  346. your donkeys and your tens. Everything has to move. Wow, Lord,

  347. very inconvenient. But since when was our life just meant for convenience? Come

  348. on, and we want COVENI I want convenience. I want convenience. Don't

  349. move my chair, okay, convenience friends, you think I want to go

  350. out there? And plant, got the go morning and not be here.

  351. Huh, I miss you. I missed up five years in between twenty twelve

  352. to twenty seventeen. That were about five years, right about five years.

  353. I miss so much of all of you growing up and getting married, han

  354. children, because we had to go and plant in Melbourne and UK traveling five

  355. weeks at a time. Some people thought we were having holiday just because you

  356. saw the food. I ate I had a cooku ki. They all say,

  357. you think busses guarding for the first time. My husband said me too,

  358. because I never Oh my gosh, you know I want convenience. Why

  359. planting a new church is inconvenient. I have to plug myself up from here

  360. and move out. Or you know, starting a new business is inconvenience sometimes,

  361. but it's exciting because you get to build a new business. Right.

  362. So, friends, I want to say to us, you know, when

  363. the Lord works in our lives. So um, in that point that I

  364. gave you there, I make room for change. Resistance is a big part,

  365. but let us be open to that. Uh that that that whipping a

  366. bit around, but not over whipping. The verse that we had given you

  367. here is first second conveniance for sixteen and eighteen. Amen. Second Corindians four

  368. sixteen to eighteen, it says, be therefore, do not lose heart.

  369. Don't get discouraged when there's changed. Even though our outward man is perishing.

  370. Yeah, outwardly, no things are changing. Yet your inner man is being

  371. renewed day by day. Hello, stop here for a moment, ladies and

  372. gentlemen, can you see my outward man changing. I don't think I look

  373. the same as I did twenty three years ago, planning. I think I

  374. do love by anyway, all right, But our in one man is being

  375. renewed every day, even though the outside there's changes. Look, we've changed,

  376. but we are being renewed. There are You've You've grown spiritually, You've

  377. you've grown taller in your spirit. You are the giant, not Goliath anymore.

  378. Amen, This is our word. Don't lose heart. Second verse seventeen.

  379. For our light affliction pauses, the light affliction, the the difficulties is

  380. but for a moment is working for us a far more exceeding an eternal weight

  381. of glory. Church. I want us remember we have an eternity in Christ.

  382. Please don't live as if you're gonna live forever on planet Earth. You

  383. have an amazing kingdom to be living in with Jesus. So what you feel

  384. you cannot get here, You're gonna get it a hundred times more. Be

  385. patient the light affliction. You're not getting your way, You're not seeing that

  386. dream happen yet. Please it says it's only for a moment. Oh,

  387. it's working for you a far more exceeding, exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

  388. God is working exceedingly for you. Take courage, be encouraged. If

  389. you haven't seen that dream come true yet, that desire come true yet,

  390. and you feel like you're in an affliction, like God, why am I

  391. the only one going to Why is all this? Take it easy. Your

  392. outward seems to be very but don't worry. You're inner man is becoming newer

  393. and newer in the Holy Spirit. Next verse eighteen. While we do not

  394. look at the things which are seen, and because we have been living on

  395. planet Earth or so long, we're always looking at what we see, but

  396. look at the things which are not seen. We can't see what's happening inside.

  397. But the things which are not which are seen, are temporary. But

  398. the things which are not seen are eternal Church. I want to remind you

  399. it is it is my duty, as yours your pastor, to remind you

  400. and remind myself this is only passing. Oh, you have an exceeding,

  401. exceeding future in and not only to live, to be lived, then to

  402. live now even but while you're going through this light affliction, I'm not I'm

  403. not making light what you might be going through. But this is the take

  404. courage. You feel like you're being whipped around right or like like in a

  405. whipping a and here like where am I going? But I say, let's

  406. not. Let's not over whip, underwhipped, so that it gives that space

  407. for God to make those changes in our lives. Expect change. Don't be

  408. so resistant that you cannot allow it. Must be like that. My grandfather

  409. was a pustle. I also will be a pastor. My child has to

  410. be a pastor. My great grandchild has to be a pustor. A love

  411. for change. Hey man, I was I was poor my grandma and my

  412. child would be poor. My grandchild will be poor. No, allow for

  413. that change and allow for God to move and workin us. You know what,

  414. because you're so precious to God. People, He will not allow you

  415. to remain the way you are. You are more precious and the plans that

  416. God has it is much more precious now what you think you want to achieve

  417. in life. That's why there will come though light affliction, whipping around,

  418. but never over overwhipped, so that you can experience the changes and that you

  419. don't have to resist. Don't resist, just a Lord, if that's gonna

  420. be changed, then make me like that which looks like you, really the

  421. image of God Lord in me, that I may reflect you, that I

  422. may be used by you. Be flexible a man, Try your best to

  423. just allow for change to work. Be aware, Be conscious on how you're

  424. responding to change. What is God doing in our lives? What is He

  425. saying to us? Friends? It's very hard for me as well. I've

  426. got different challenges. I can throw my hands on the end, give up,

  427. which you can easily do. So we walk away from something. I

  428. tell you why. When you don't have staying power, you never get to

  429. see through the whole picture, and you throw in the towel. The first

  430. round of challenge comes. We need to give some time for whipping, but

  431. not for overwhipick give that pays for change in us? Maybe we need to

  432. change the way we approach, the way we say something, the way we

  433. respawn. Uh. You know in a marriage you're also excited to do you

  434. know the single people want to get married. But are you ready for the

  435. change? Are you ready to swallow the pill? They're very bitter pill when

  436. you say I die to self. I love my husband enough that I die

  437. to self. And and okilla, I give him to you. La,

  438. you swallowed a bitter pill. No, hey, and the young girl those

  439. married on more and the tears. H do not you lay down your life?

  440. You know you have to go to change? Do not the house renovated

  441. house renovation game? Fine? Oh no, no, I had to swallow

  442. my pride. No I'm the one cooking. Let me joice? No,

  443. no, no it is I'm like, okay, I understand my position and

  444. my role. The Lord will teach him. I will submit, all right.

  445. But all things are good. All things are good. I just want

  446. to say to us, will you allow yourself that can give God the space

  447. to change change you? Mold you ready and not ready and not not already?

  448. Don't seem please say yes? These dad come on. If he does

  449. change your plans, will you are you willing to trust him still? Are

  450. you willing to trust him that he will not lead you to where his grace

  451. is not able to lead you? Know, to support you. God's grace

  452. is always ready for you to support you a man, hallelujah. Don't overmix.

  453. It's called an underwhipping, so that when it's again. We don't want

  454. heaviness. We want lightness in our spirit, even in our cakes, we

  455. want it to be light. We want the egg whites to be not so

  456. stiff, but light enough for it to mix nicely into the batter and bring

  457. about lovely lightness us in our great consistency light affliction. Don't run away the

  458. first or you know, just because it is challenging, it doesn't mean it's

  459. not of God. Come on? How many? How many believers in Christ

  460. have gone through persecution and remain in their faith in other nations, in nations

  461. that are closed doors, they remain their faith. Come on? What are

  462. you and I going through that is so bad that we are not willing to

  463. stay in God's You know, in God's hands for him to mold us and

  464. change us and to bring about his glory, bring about His beauty in our

  465. lives. Are you liking your cake? People? Not sure? Anybody in

  466. the house? Are you asleep? You slep late last night? Is it

  467. come on? All right? First point, don't overmix. Second point,

  468. don't overwhip all right? Be flexible, be open? What is God saying

  469. to you? Change is inevitable. How you respond to change will make the

  470. difference. And I tell you, if your life is in God's hands,

  471. that change will be for our good. Amen, hallelujah. Please don't be

  472. a stiff upper lip person, are not changing, cannot change. My chair

  473. will be like this forever. This is the row I see in forever.

  474. No, get me ready to share your chair? Okay? And a row.

  475. Third point, under bake okay, can you believe it? Don't over

  476. bake? If you're making flawless chocolate orange cake and brownies that you want some

  477. gooenness and chewiness. Are you hungry? You cannot over bake? Why because

  478. there is red sidual heat that will continue to bake your brownie and your cake.

  479. So you that's why sometimes you forget nice to forget. I keep the

  480. cake there. Oh yeah, it looks under bag la. I'll give another

  481. five minutes. I'll give another five minutes. He's still not coogla and never

  482. I're diving. It's like a rock, you know. And I'm like,

  483. I don't bake cakes like that. Oh, I haven't been baking for a

  484. long time because we worry that it's under bake. But let the heat after

  485. you remove it from the oven to continue baking, cooking, and give it

  486. an hour two hours to cool down, and then only test your cake.

  487. Then only eat your cake. Okay, don't eat the cake now very hard.

  488. I know you can't wait to eat it because it's so good. So

  489. don't over bake your cake. Why because there will be residual heat. And

  490. my point to this is experienced transformation. When you know the cake goes in

  491. like a batter, it turns out something else. What does my cake look

  492. like? I don't know, Okay, experience transformation and what does the kick

  493. look like? Was there a picture earlier? Or you change my cake picture?

  494. All right? That is an orange cake. So the middle potion there

  495. usually doesn't get baked, and that really irks me. So I keep it

  496. in the oven for a very long time trying to get the middle part cooked.

  497. And then by that too bad. After that the kick becomes like a

  498. rock, So I've got to take it out. You know, after some

  499. time this goes by practice. You allow us to go through this and then

  500. you bring it out so that you underbake it first and bring it out so

  501. they can bake by the heat that's there already. So in our lives,

  502. you know, the batter actually comes into a transformation and from the wet it

  503. becomes into a kick. Well, that is like us as well. God

  504. is working and transforming our lives. Wow. Any any of us that touches

  505. God and the Holy Spirit, he transforms us. Wow. And then hallelujah.

  506. Amen. You know he wants us too mature. You want out?

  507. You want your child to mature? But thought that mummy and that is come

  508. on mom's and the mummy's and that is not saying yes or amen? What

  509. is wrong with you? Wake up? Come on mom's and the Do you

  510. want your child to mature? Yeah? I hear Amen? Do you want

  511. your baby to keep crawling? Do you want your child at twenty eight still

  512. living in your house and eating off your plate? I know Malaysian parents are

  513. okay with it? No, not good? Let them out, Let them

  514. go out to work, right, guide them, guide them. But you

  515. know that our lives must transform, Our lives must transform, and in that

  516. transformation we have maturity. We need to mature in our walk with Jesus characters

  517. being built. Amen. Right, we don't want to do you you know,

  518. you know I have to. We've got so many parents, were so

  519. many Cambus students here, and you know we've I've been so used to just

  520. leading Cambus students and forgot that we have parents. Eum, I cat me

  521. grandma already you know. Yeah, I'm older than a lot of you.

  522. Yeah, yeah, I just don't realize them that old. Yeah. Yeah,

  523. I thought in my in my in our X all these people I think,

  524. I think I think they're older than media. I found out that I

  525. don't know I'm older than them. What he looks older than me? Okay,

  526. all right, okay, that's because they didn't come under the annoying thing.

  527. The longer you sit at my feet, you are re released. Peter.

  528. You can wear your buttic shuts after Peter. Yeah, because you're loose

  529. wed, you're yeah, just anointing of youthfulness. Yes, amen, come

  530. on, you sit under my anointing. Ah you get you fulness energy,

  531. yes, amen, and then you are grandma age but don't look like grandma.

  532. Yeah, I know you're wanta date me, but yeah huh married,

  533. don't over big after the our lives become big and dry? Are you cannot?

  534. So God wants to mature us. Mom's in dead. You want your

  535. child to mature, but your child won'tmant you if you don't mature. Come

  536. on, husband and wives need to mature. So dead your child your young

  537. person will look at you and go like, Wow, their marriage is doing

  538. good. They're talking nicely to each other, and if they do fight,

  539. they quite quietly fight the side. Wow, Mom, and what you are

  540. ring? And your children learn from us. We want to raise me and

  541. young men, young women that have character so that they can lead their lives,

  542. so that if they're married, they can lead their husbands their wives and

  543. wives and wives serve together with their husbands. Mature men and women. Women

  544. and men are full of character, substance. That's what God wants us to

  545. be men and women of substance, and that's why there will be transformation.

  546. Transformation. We transform from one level of faith to the next level of faith,

  547. strength to strength, grace, upon grace, glory to glory. We

  548. cannot overbake, otherwise there is no transform. As it becomes so hard,

  549. cannot eat, cannot be enjoyed. But you underbake it and give it time,

  550. and as time goes it will slowly cook and bake and become a nice

  551. cake that we can all enjoy. Jun not amen, Amen, and the

  552. verse wow good, But you know what changes that that that cake I turn

  553. into a kike? Fire? Fire? Okay, what fire? Your job

  554. twenty eight, verse ten, twenty three versent job Chapter twenty three and verse

  555. ten. You know job said oh man, he but he knows the way

  556. that I take. When He has tested me, I shall come forth as

  557. gold. When God has tested you, you shall come forth as gold.

  558. You want to be gold like gold. Don't just buy gold bars, be

  559. gold yourself. Hallea. You don't lose me. Some of you lost a

  560. lot of money with a bitcoin thing. Ahha recently uh huh, und A

  561. lot of people lost a lot of money because you put that in there.

  562. Come on, put yourself in the hands of God and be transformed, tested

  563. and come out like gold, because gold last after it's been purified. We

  564. want to be allowing ourselves in the hands of God, even to our tests.

  565. He might not bring that testing. It may come due to the circumstances.

  566. But as you allow yourself to be submitted to the Lord, the fire

  567. that you're going through is going to produce an amazing person of character and substance.

  568. It is hard, it is tough. It is not easy. Friends,

  569. we get changed and transform. I think for me, you know,

  570. having gone through with my dad four years of going in and out of hospital,

  571. in and out of hospital, there were days I just I just felt

  572. like I'm so tired because it's so alone, so lonely, this journey of

  573. you know, wheeling him in, wheeling him out, sitting that I wait

  574. for him to the surgeries or whatever, and sometimes you sit there. But

  575. you know, I thought, as I said, then the Lord just reminded

  576. me, saying, do you think this is the worst. This is opportunity

  577. to be with your dad. I didn't know four years ago he was going

  578. to go home. There were people around us, he made friends at all

  579. the other patients. You know, I have been the Men's wat so it's

  580. difficult for me. But they allowed me to go to the Men's Word because

  581. I'm dead. But you know, it was it felt like faiet at that

  582. time to just not know, you know, is he going to be well?

  583. Is he going to be fully cleared from cancer? But I believe that

  584. God took us through and yes, he goes cleared. You know each time

  585. they went through that. Of course the last round it just decided to flare

  586. up. But he was so steadfast that he was ready for Jesus. Sometimes

  587. we go through that. It might not change, it didn't change anything.

  588. But the God, I want to tell you, the God who sees.

  589. Maybe our circumstances doesn't change, but the God who sees you, he makes

  590. a way. Come on, not all of us are going to be gay

  591. pop starsla, not all of us are going to look like the emblah.

  592. I'm sorry, I won't I feel because it's all you know, plastic surgery.

  593. The God who sees You can read that ingenesis when Haga ran away from

  594. Sarah because you know Sarah another say go and give her husband if you know

  595. a baby with with her. Then she after that persecute her. She runs

  596. away and she's there with child, and God sees her. God sees.

  597. The God who sees is the God who works in us. Heaven rules.

  598. And sometimes your storm may not just stop overnight, and you still go through

  599. it. Sometimes your pain and your body doesn't go overnight, but the God

  600. who sustains you gives you that strength. Sometimes it doesn't change, my friends,

  601. it doesn't change our parents who have Alzheimer's. And dimension doesn't change.

  602. That does and mean God isn't with you, because the God who sees will

  603. ask you to return to that place and trust him and let him lead you.

  604. It leads you, not overbaked, underbate, and then the transformation comes.

  605. That change is not about the other person. It's about me. I

  606. change. I'm mature, I become that woman of substance. I let go,

  607. I learn, I swallow my pride, I bow, I walk comely,

  608. I say sorry, Please forgive me. I didn't know better. I

  609. think many of us need to be aware. Come on, church, be

  610. ahare that there is an eternity. Some days we just have to bow to

  611. the Lord, not to that sickness, not to that you know, difficult

  612. person or boss or whatever, Da da da economy. We bow to the

  613. Lord and we say, Lord, you are working in me. I think

  614. sometimes we just need to go down to the basics. We change, We

  615. let God work in us. The God who sees sometimes leads us back to

  616. that place and says, wait, I will turn the tide for you.

  617. Don't run away. Don't run away, because in time I will work it

  618. through for you. Amen. Amen, don't overbake, allow because this fire

  619. is gonna make you as gold. Malachi chapter three in verse three and Malachi

  620. three three. You know, he says that he will sit as a refiner,

  621. as a purifier of silver. He will purify the sons of Levi and

  622. purge them as old and silver that they may offer to the Lord and offering

  623. in righteousness. The fire, the heat refines us. Amen, I tell

  624. you, the fire of God, even difficult circumstances, might be a kind

  625. of fire. It refines us to bend, to allow for change and mold

  626. us. Am I there yet, brother sister, I'm not, But I'm

  627. allowing myself, in my own challenges, to go through it. And I

  628. see me changing, not the other person. I see me bowing down.

  629. I see me learning to be a little bit more humble, a little bit

  630. more merciful. Compassion, I tell you it. Losing my dad, I

  631. just have a lord of compassion for anyone who loses your parents. I never

  632. would know until I went through it myself. You bend a little, you

  633. bow a little, you begin to absorb that Wow, that understands day whoa

  634. and you stand with others me go through it in future, might have gone

  635. through it. You have an understanding. God is one thing to work in

  636. us, to mature us. The fire, the refining fire, the work

  637. of changing that gold that was from raw to pure gold to pure silver is

  638. a work of art. It's a beautiful work. But the impurities will come

  639. out. Don't be afraid of the impurities. It will come out. He

  640. will look at you and you go like, that's not me. You're right.

  641. Let God do the work and just clean you out and clear you out,

  642. and he will make you that pure gold. Amen. Oh, you

  643. know the cake is to be enjoyed. But it went through the heat.

  644. So you and I know that some in life we need to take the heat.

  645. But when you're in it, I know sometimes you want to give up.

  646. You want to throw in the towers. See, I don't want allah

  647. can allah. No, I want to encourage us. When you're in the

  648. heat, don't give up. For so you think of the beautiful cake you're

  649. gonna get so my life would be like that. So I'm going through the

  650. heat. I just need, you know, supportive hands and voices that say

  651. I'm cheering you on and people will carry and I don't want to hear the

  652. voices that are like, good for you. Okay, okay, yes it's

  653. good for me, but can some hams. I'm encouragement, all right,

  654. that it will just cheer us on, prey for one another, and cheer

  655. each other on. Amen, it's it's it's gold. You are gold.

  656. You are going to shine, and just be so clear, Amen for the

  657. Lord. Why because we are meant to look like Jesus a little bit more

  658. every day. Amen, hallelujah. Don't don't love your flesh life so much

  659. that you want to stay as yourself. Love the way God has sees you.

  660. He sees you as gold, as silver, he sees you as men

  661. and women of substance. But to get there you go through these processes.

  662. You have to go through these processes. Make room for God so that he

  663. can have some space in your life. Amen, don't plan on I don't

  664. know space, make room or give him that that space that change can happen.

  665. And a number three, There will be transformation. Anything that heats,

  666. the hits the heat, it will change. I pray for the better,

  667. for the beauty that God has. But do we go through the tears?

  668. Yes we do. Do we struggle with different things? Yes we do.

  669. But if you are a child of God, Heaven rules. God in his

  670. mercy will look upon you. God sees us. Are you willing to bend

  671. and just say Okay, Lord, I surrender, have your way. Amen.
