  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. I want us to turn please to the Bible

  3. Book of John, and we're gonna read nine verses there, okay, verses

  4. one to nine. After this, there was a feast of the Jews,

  5. and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. No, there is in Jerusalem by the

  6. sheep gate a pool which is called in Hebrew the Vesta, having five porches.

  7. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, many sick people,

  8. blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting. They were waiting for the moving of

  9. the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool

  10. and stirred up the water. Then whoever stepped in first after the stirring of

  11. the water was made well of whatever disease he had. Now, a certain

  12. man was there who had an infirmity thirty eight years thirty eight years. When

  13. Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he already had been in that condition

  14. a long time, he said to him, do you want to be made

  15. well? The sick man answered him, Sir, I've no man to put

  16. me into the pool. When the water is stirred up, but while I

  17. am coming, another steps down before me. Jesus then said, in verse

  18. eight, rise, take up your bed and walk. And immediately, immediately

  19. the man was made well, took up his bed and walked, And that

  20. day was the Sabbath. Amen, hallelujah to the testimony that somebody walked.

  21. I believe with all my heart this morning that you are also going to be

  22. able in Jesus name, to do from today onwards what you used to not

  23. be able to do. If you believe it's amen. I want to believe

  24. that. I want to believe that miracles will happen. I want to believe

  25. that if you were fearful, you will be fearful normal. That if you

  26. were in doubt, that you will be in doubt normal. That if you

  27. find you know it difficult to have financial breakthrough, that this would be your

  28. last day. And that from today in Jesus name, God will open the

  29. windows of heaven for you. That if you couldn't find a job for many

  30. months now, that you will find the job, or rather the job will

  31. find you. Amen. And that you if you have been sick in a

  32. certain way, I pray today will be your day of healing. I pray

  33. that those who couldn't walk will today be able to walk. The Bible says

  34. in verse nine, John Chapter five, verse nine, Immediately, somebody say,

  35. immediately, I want to believe for an immediate healing, an immediate miracle,

  36. an immediate break true. If you want to receive his say, amen,

  37. I want to believe that today is the day. And why not?

  38. And why not because Jesus is the same today as he was yesterday and will

  39. be the same forever. And Jesus is alive. Somebody say, amen,

  40. he's alive. He's here with us. And the same God who healed that

  41. man in John five is the same God who is with us even right now.

  42. Amen. Now there are three things that Jesus said. In verse eight,

  43. he said, rise, take up your bed, and walk. So

  44. walk we have seen happen in verse night. Walk we've seen take place.

  45. In verse nine. It's not a wish, it's not a hope. It's

  46. been done, and I believe that it will be done also today for you.

  47. It's done in Jesus name. But Jesus also said two other things.

  48. He said rise, and he said take up your bed. So I wanna

  49. just remind you that there are at least two prerequisites come on. Two prerequisites

  50. before walk took place. So it's rise, take up your bed, and

  51. walk. So before you can walk, there is the rise, and there

  52. is the take up your bed. Are you all still with me? Hold

  53. this in your thoughts, because we've got to study the Word of God together.

  54. And I hope to encourage you in the power of the Holy Spirit to

  55. believe that you will walk. But before you do, take heed to two

  56. prerequisites. Okay, there are conditions to walking in God. His love is

  57. unconditional. Men, but miracles and healings and supernatural wonders and signs and break

  58. truths, they more often than not have God conditions. And one the condition

  59. is to believe. That is a condition you must believe. And these signs

  60. shall follow those who believe, not those who went to Bible school, nor

  61. those who think they have been in church a long time, not those whose

  62. father is a pastor. No, these signs shall follow those who There are

  63. conditions. And many Christians forget sometimes because we think that God is an unconditional,

  64. loving God. And that's true. And because you think he's like that,

  65. then you think that He has to do everything for you. Now he

  66. only does everything and anything for little babies. But we are never babies in

  67. the faith for long. We must grow up, and the Lord expects us

  68. to grow up. And it's a good thing to grow up because we get

  69. to see more of God. In stepping out in faith and obeying his word,

  70. you get to see more of God, and God wants us to see

  71. more of him. Can I hear a good amen? Okay, so rise

  72. take up your bed. Now, let's go into the early verses that we

  73. read and do a study and see what could this mean? What could rise

  74. take up your bed and walk mean? Now let's pick it up from verse

  75. three. It says in these lay a great multitude of sick people. So

  76. we know that at a pool called Bethesta there were many sick people, and

  77. the Bible mentions some of them blind, lame, paralyze waiting. They were

  78. waiting. I wonder how many of you in this room are waiting. You're

  79. waiting. You pray maybe even faster, but you are in a waiting period.

  80. Someone said before, many years ago, wait wai t maybe the most

  81. difficult fall letter word you could ever hear. Nobody likes to wait. Wait.

  82. It's like a bad word. In a modern day that we live in

  83. today. Wait nobody was to wait. We want everything fast, we know

  84. that. But the Bible says that those who wait on the Lord shall renew

  85. their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run

  86. and not be weary, they shall walk and not faith. There's a blessing

  87. to those who wait on the Lord. So wait is not a bad words,

  88. a good word, especially if you wait on the Lord, very very

  89. important. So they were waiting, just like some of you, waiting for

  90. what for the stirring of the water by the angel. So when we read

  91. the Bible, the Bible will at least teach us one thing, and that

  92. is in this particular reading that angels do heal. Okay, angels do heal.

  93. So if anybody asks you do angels heal? You say, let me

  94. turn you to John five. That the angel came once a year stir up

  95. the water, and the first one to go in there will be heal.

  96. The only thing is that the power of the angel is very limited because he

  97. can only come once a year. He can stir up the water, and

  98. the first person in not the second. I was wondering. Sometimes sometimes I

  99. use my imagination when I read the Bible and trying to study it. How

  100. two persons go in at the same time. You know those photo finish that

  101. you have in the Olympics. Oh, both of them went in together,

  102. same time, and we actually have a photo finish and look it's zero point

  103. zero zero one two. You know, both of them will win the gold

  104. medal. I wonder what happens, Okay, I don't know. I don't

  105. know answer to that. Maybe because both of them at first, both then

  106. will be healed. But even then he's only two. Very limited. How

  107. many of you are very glad that today we don't have to just depend on

  108. angels because Jesus Christ can heal us every day, ten times a day if

  109. you have to. Jesus is unlimited. Again, God is unlimited, His

  110. power is unlimited. God is here. That's probably why Moses said to God

  111. when God says you go, God was angry with Israel, and God,

  112. did you want to go with them? Remember this? And God says you

  113. go, I will send my angel. And Moses was very very aware that

  114. I don't just want an angel. I want you God. And that's why

  115. Jesus name is Immanuel, God with us when he's with us. We have

  116. a constant every day, every hour of the day, healer, provider,

  117. protector, Amen, the one who is the master of breakthrough. The Bible

  118. calls. Remember we used to have a camp twenty years ago. Joy.

  119. We call him the Mob because he's the master of breakthrough. And we say,

  120. welcome to the Mob camp. And everybody dresses gangsters where we came in.

  121. The mob. He is the Mob, if you want to think about

  122. it, the mafia of all mafias. He is the God of all God's,

  123. king of all kings. He is the master of the universe. He

  124. is great and greatly to be praised. There's no one like Jesus, no

  125. one like Jesus. Amen. So the Angel, and everyone seems to know.

  126. The Bible says a certain time he comes. So a certain time.

  127. You can't like know the date the time, just like how many of you

  128. can tell me when Christmas is this year? Wow? So if you don't

  129. know, so how you think it's a true question. It's a twenty five

  130. every year. And the Angel came at a certain time day they know,

  131. and they knew when he came. So all these people were waiting. All

  132. right, Okay, let me get to my point. Jesus walked into that

  133. place called Bezesta five pools, I believe it's what he says, or five

  134. pachas, and he looked around. I'm just now guessing because I wasn't there

  135. anyone there. If you were there, please tell me and help me.

  136. But I wasn't there. You weren't there, And I mean, I'm imagining,

  137. and there you go again. Imagining, you know, really makes the

  138. Bible come alive. Jesus is walking. He's a healer. He's the one

  139. with a limited power. And the Bible says he saw one man who was

  140. there. Well, he didn't quite say he was there for the d eight

  141. years. He said that he was sick for the eight years. But Jesus

  142. he said of the Lord that he knew that this man was in that condition

  143. a long time, and he must have been there also a long time.

  144. Again, not sure that that the eight years he was at the but a

  145. long time. Okay, No, listen, I got a few questions,

  146. you know, when I do Bible study Jesus walking, Why did he just

  147. single out one man when everybody else needed healing as well? All right,

  148. And the next thing Jesus does is that he goes up to this man who's

  149. sick for thirty eight years, and he asked a question. What was a

  150. question? Do you want to be healed? Now? I've gone to visit

  151. people in hospitals many times, and I've walked from bed to bed right praying

  152. for people. I don't usually ask her do you want to be healed?

  153. Is there really a hospital now? The guy or the ladies are really on

  154. the bed. Maybe with all right, The only question I might ask is

  155. would you like me to pray for you? But do you want to be

  156. healed? Is very rare, So we ask ourselves questions because when we ask

  157. ourselves questions, we might get answers. Jesus went to one man, not

  158. to the rest, and he asked the question, do you want to be

  159. healed? Jim, he's doing that? You know, if I did it

  160. to a lady who was sit on the bed, she might get up,

  161. slapped me, and then go back down to the basins. Well, you're

  162. asking, but the guy was in comma. His family members might slap me

  163. and say, you know, this man is in comma. Does he want

  164. to be healed? You know? Jesus asked the question so obvious, and

  165. yet no obvious. Okay. So my thought is that this guy could have

  166. been there so long that he may have started packing himself there and making himself

  167. come. Thirty eight years is a long time. Now, people, how

  168. many of you are thirty eight years older or younger than thirty eight? No?

  169. Are you thirty? No? Exactly are Okay? Don't, don't,

  170. don't review. Three years a long time, A long time. I questioned

  171. things like, how do he eat? Who who fed him? Did they

  172. bring him in and out? Or did he pop there? Okay, okay,

  173. okay. Jesus looked around so many sick people, so one man.

  174. What made the one man come across so obvious that he would go up to

  175. him and say, do you want to be healed? I'm thinking the man

  176. had a very comfortable bit. He first may have come our imagination, now

  177. imagination, He first may have arrived at thirty eight years ago, maybe maybe

  178. with a sleeping bag, because he wasn't thinking of staying there long. Now,

  179. after three years, it could be a double bit with nice extra form.

  180. He didn't go with a pillow first of all, because he didn't think

  181. he would stay with the night. Now maybe he has five pillows and a

  182. bolster, and then if you look carefully, he has a stove at the

  183. side because he has to have something to bow water, because sometimes he likes

  184. to have his tea while he waits for the angel. My imagine nation is

  185. going, I know, let your imagine imagine nation. And maybe just maybe

  186. he has a place. You know, he put a mobile basin and put

  187. a huge container there where water can go through the pipes into the base so

  188. he can watch his face. And maybe his power is how not just anything.

  189. Maybe he bought a wreck, maybe he nailed it to a tree.

  190. I don't know what he did. Maybe he had a cup with his toothbrush

  191. and toothpaste. Do you know that sometimes if we're not careful, we can

  192. park even in our pain. I say, we can park even in our

  193. pain. And it doesn't look like he wants to be healed. That Jesus

  194. had to ask him, do you want to be here? Because I see

  195. you very comfortable. I see you very comfortable? Do you want to be

  196. healed? And ladies and gentlemen, I want to tell you, because we've

  197. lived life for some years now, some decades now, we've seen even in

  198. our own selves that when we get into trouble or into pain or into hurts.

  199. Sometimes we just like to park there, and sometimes we just like to

  200. remain there. Even actually we want to be healed, We want to get

  201. out of this, we want to be free. But no matter how we

  202. try, it doesn't happen. And so after a while, like the woman

  203. in the States many years ago, I heard this story. Twenty five years

  204. ago, I heard the story. She was in a wheelchair, She was

  205. in a bad way, and she went to church every Sunday to be healed

  206. every Sunday. And you know, preacher after preacher, healer after healer,

  207. prayer after prayer, no healing. But as she was going to church,

  208. you know, she found the people loving her so much that they will carry

  209. her from her car to her wheelchair, pushed her from the wheelchair to the

  210. church. Before that, go for a drink, buy her a nice coffee,

  211. and get her in. And she used to sit at the back because

  212. nobody knew her. But now that more and more people know her from Sunday

  213. to Sunday, they pushed her to the front. They even prepared a special

  214. corner for her, and she knew it was her corner. Nobody else could

  215. sit there. And as as as as people got to know her, they

  216. even gave her money because you know, I knew that she wasn't working and

  217. maybe she had a pension, but it was not enough, and so they

  218. gave him money. In every week she was getting money, and so on

  219. and so forth, and after about I don't know, twenty months of that,

  220. she actually didn't think that she needed to be healed because the situation that

  221. she was in drew attention, drew compassion. And sometimes we can be in

  222. a situation whereby this ain't so bad, and yet God has a better thing

  223. for you, a better way for you. And so the reason why I

  224. know the stories because I read it from a book, and the reason why

  225. the book had it recorded is because finally a preacher came and as he laid

  226. hands on her, he stopped. He says, you don't even want to

  227. be healed. This is just a tradition, This is just a show.

  228. This is just you know, I do this religious act every Sunday. It

  229. was, okay, I know this is quite tough. So I expect silence

  230. because you're thinking. Because you're thinking, because you're thinking, you're going,

  231. you're going like, can I be like that? Can I be at a

  232. place whereby it's not about people giving up on you as much as you have

  233. given up on yourself. And I find that, you know, many of

  234. my believing friends, brothers and sisters can come to a place whereby they don't

  235. want to be in that place, but something has taken over. And so

  236. it's hard, ladies and gentlemen, to rise when you are down. In

  237. fact, can I say this, It's easier to walk than to rise.

  238. Walk was the third part of what Jesus says, and the men immediately walks.

  239. But before he could walk, he had to rise. And I want

  240. to tell you and remind you, because most of you know this, that

  241. rising was the hardest. How many of you have failed before? Don't put

  242. up your hands, because I know all of us must have one time or

  243. the other, and some of us may have failed very miserably. You know

  244. what it was the hardest. The hardest was to rise. You've been hurt,

  245. you've been stepped on, betrayed, and you think yourself, I will

  246. never be able to believe again. Trust again. It's very hard to rise

  247. to be the same person before, if not better, very hard. How

  248. many of you are still with me? It's tough to be betrayed, betrayed

  249. by a friend, to be pushed around rejected. Yeah, Or maybe you

  250. trusted somebody with money and then suddenly you know now you are poor, that

  251. person is rich. I don't know. Or you trust, you trusted,

  252. and you have ended up where you are today, and it's very hard to

  253. rise. But rise you must, rise, you must. Alder Mabel says

  254. that I sound like Star Wars. Rise you Muss says Yoda, ry is

  255. you must? I thought about a statement I read not too long ago that

  256. says that ships sink not because of the great waters around it, but the

  257. water's in it. Imagine the ship right on the sea. You know how

  258. much great waters they are all around, but it can't sing the ship.

  259. The ship only sings because it allows water to come in. So all the

  260. worst discouragement that you can ever get from outside I cannot sink. You know,

  261. All the worst disappointments that you get on the outside can never sink you.

  262. It is a stuff that you allow insight inside. Yes, of course

  263. sometimes you can allow stuff to come from outside to India. I know that's

  264. how it works. But you allowed it or or you you know, I

  265. mean, I want to be fair to people who go like no pastor,

  266. I didn't allow it no day. But you know, ada is still a

  267. choice, is still a choice, and rising up is hard. And Jesus

  268. says, before you can walk, you got to rise. You see,

  269. there was a lame man seated at the gate called beautiful at chapter three,

  270. and Peter and John said, silver and gold have I none, But what

  271. I have I give to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

  272. Rise up. The first thing you must do before the miracle is always rise.

  273. But this, this is a thing, this thing Peter and the Bible

  274. says, actually put out his hand and help the men. Now, church

  275. can help you, your homes can help you, Your leaders can help you,

  276. your friends, your family can help you. But it's still, at

  277. the end of the day, your choice, whether you understand or not.

  278. Come on, am I with You're with me? Right? So you can

  279. pull how many of you have seen it before? People pull you up and

  280. then you just slum back down, not because of your feet or your your

  281. inability on the external, but your inability on the internal. So I can

  282. help you. In fact, when I'm preaching this, I hope to help

  283. you. But at the end of the day, where you're seated, now

  284. you've got to decide whether I rise or not. This is he important to

  285. understand to rise. I remember my dad was he had stroke. In two

  286. weeks, my father got out of the hospital and walked and the way he

  287. walked was like he never had stroke. And the nurses, the doctors,

  288. the therapist were so amazed at his recovery because he wasn't walking with a limb,

  289. wasn't swinging his feet his hands. He just walked out. Even his

  290. friends who saw him said, you know, there's nothing wrong with you,

  291. and they didn't know that he had a bad stroke and he lost his speech.

  292. He couldn't speak. So he looked fine, but he couldn't speak.

  293. And I remember, you know, because every week it cost me about a

  294. thousand and five for his therapy. He is twenty four years ago, so

  295. a thousand and five every week is high for a man who didn't get a

  296. salary because I was living by faith, no salary. But you know,

  297. after a week, two weeks, the Lord just provided, you know,

  298. he provided, he provided. I was able to pay. My father knew

  299. that this hospital was you know, when you're when you're having stroke. Even

  300. though you look like you don't have an understanding, you're actually your faculties are

  301. all still working. Okay, you know, you're very clear, you're very

  302. That's why they're so frustrated because they know they can button their shirt, but

  303. they can't. So the why you know, they get really upset because I

  304. can't do this. They know their name Bernard Chin, right, but his

  305. name Bernard Chin, he knows, but he can't spell because he can't write

  306. be. He forgot how to write B. But he knows. I know

  307. that. So it's very frustrating because you have all the faculties, you have

  308. all the understanding, but you can't manifest that. So my father was in

  309. the hospital, I remember, and the therapist was trying to work on him.

  310. And those of you who've ever seen stroke victims, or maybe you've been

  311. a stroke victim before, you know that every movement is hard, very difficult,

  312. very painful. So even putting your button right, you got to move

  313. all the motor skills, are got to move the fingers to put it.

  314. Did never take for grunted that you could put your button button this morning,

  315. Never take from granted that you could put your button on this morning. You

  316. know, sometimes that's by putting button. So I said thank you Lord,

  317. thank you Lord. Because I had a dad who had couldn't. So I

  318. said thank you Lord, thank you Lord, Thank you Lord. I go

  319. to the toilet in the morning, I say, thank you a Lord.

  320. The plumbing is too working. Halleui. Apprest goes through Hall Amen, praise

  321. God, and I thank God for everything. I thank God for everything.

  322. Never, never, never, never, never take for grunted. My father

  323. was in hospital. The therapist who was working with him. I could hear

  324. him scream even before I reached his room. And why because just lifting up

  325. the hand like this is painful. He was screaming. And then he turned

  326. to the therapist and he shake his head, shook his head and said,

  327. like like enough, enough enough. And all the other patients in that particular

  328. hospital same, you know, they're like enough. Some have been there for

  329. two years. My dad has only been there for like one a half two

  330. weeks. And I walked in and I looked at my dad. I just

  331. had a miracle one thousand, five hundred ing it in my pocket. Someone

  332. gave it to me when I was shaking his hand. I was shaking his

  333. hand and gave me AE thousand, five hundred kit in an envelope. Not

  334. knowing how much the bill will be, I opened it. I was able

  335. to pay the bill for that week. You know God, I mean,

  336. there's so many testimonies in my life of God's faithfulness. So by walking out,

  337. and of course I don't want to show my dad that, you know,

  338. it's it's it's heavy financially, but my dad looked at me and he

  339. knew by then I read I was living by faith no salary, and so

  340. I looked at him kind of are you okay, dad, you know,

  341. and the therapist took you know, maybe two minutes of break and my father

  342. really you know, shook his head saying no, and he looked at me,

  343. and so I met I uh and uh, and he looked at me

  344. and his face changed. His face changed to one of determination. I could

  345. see it as a son, I could see and he looked at the therapists

  346. and not at his head like one more time. And the reason is because

  347. he knew that I couldn't afford this, and for the sake of his son,

  348. for the sake of his son, I'm going to do this. I'm

  349. going to and he was cured in two weeks. I saw another man and

  350. next to him and he was still swinging his leg for two years. Right,

  351. and and they explained to me. The therapists explained to me, is

  352. because um, when you don't go to the therapy, you all you want

  353. to do is live and walk. So when you walk, as long as

  354. you can walk, you just swing your leg anyway else sweet because you want

  355. to just get on with life. But the therapist is more uh into getting

  356. you walking right so so so you cannot just see. But no to the

  357. people who string their lit and swing their hands, they think, as long

  358. as I can live, God is not about that. Also for us,

  359. he's not just oh, just because you look okay, you can know you

  360. can walk. No, he's about us walking straight, walking strong through the

  361. Bible. He tells us things, but not in other mind. I can

  362. live without it. And you're not you. You don't know how other people

  363. are looking. They can see that you are a stroke with Queen. You

  364. can't see it because as long as you can walk. But this life is

  365. not about as long as you can walk. Is walking properly and strongly in

  366. the lot. Okay, So anyway, my dad I saw to change it.

  367. I saw to change see it right now, I on a prophesie to

  368. you, as some people here in this room right now, in the next

  369. so many minutes that we have. You got the old show. There's there's

  370. got to be a clique that there's got to be a change of countenance.

  371. There's got to be like, it's me. My son can pay the bill,

  372. the doctor can try to help me, but at the end of the

  373. day, it's me. So the therapist said, Kenneth, I have not

  374. seen this recovery in two weeks in all my patients, I guess because she

  375. said, all the other patients can afford being in a hospital for two boy

  376. years. Yeah. I saw their cars coming in. Okay, big cars,

  377. nice cars and all that card thing that the children had money to pay

  378. this bill. This this guy didn't have. And my father knew it.

  379. My father made a decision, a decision to rise, to rise amen,

  380. no excuses, No, my mother dislah, my father disa. You don't

  381. understand my grandfather law this you know, my friend law rejected me. No.

  382. No, it is the waters around you can't sink you, is the

  383. waters in sight of you. You gotta understand that that's why the Lord keeps

  384. coming, and he doesn't. The Lord doesn't save our body. No,

  385. he came for our soul. He came for our mind, our heart.

  386. The body will go down to the ground, and you will get a new

  387. body when you're in heaven. It's not about the body. It's not even

  388. about the spirit, because the spirit it comes from God, and the Bible

  389. says in Ecclesiastics twelve seven, it says the spirit will go straight back to

  390. God. It is the soul that he came to save, because the soul

  391. is you. The soul is the real you. The body is not the

  392. real you, because you know you've got this kind of body at twelve and

  393. then twenty four and then eighty four you see the body change, the body

  394. with all the wrinkles. Now it's not really you. So yet we spend

  395. so much time before the mirror, you know, taking care of just this

  396. thing that we think is us. And then this one will go down to

  397. the grave and then you become us. We gotta take care and spend more

  398. time into this is me, this is me. And so there's a scripture

  399. in Psalm forty three, verse five. Psalm forty three, verse five.

  400. It says, why are you cast down all my soul? And why are

  401. you disquieted? Within? Me? Hope in God, for I shall yet

  402. praise him the help of my countenance and my God. You know, when

  403. I look at the scripture, it says, why are you cast down all

  404. my soul? You know what? And who? The person is talking himself.

  405. He's saying, come on, Kenneth, why are you looking like this?

  406. Why are you so down? I mean a thousand people get encouraged me,

  407. but the most important encouragement is me speaking to my own heart, my

  408. own soul, my own to come on, Kenneth, enough, come on,

  409. rise up, come on live, come on, be happy? Why?

  410. Because happiness has always been a choice. It's never been a feeling like

  411. love. Someone ask a question before no, h if I don't love my

  412. job, does it mean I'm in the wrong job? I think to myself.

  413. Love is a choice, man. So every day you go to your

  414. job, you know you can love your job by choosing. I choose to

  415. love my job. If you all go by feeling zunia, which job is

  416. good for you? So I don't know. You want to be an astronaut?

  417. I don't know. So we make a choice every day to say I

  418. will be happy, and I will. God has given me this job.

  419. I will thank him for this job, because many people don't have jobs.

  420. You choose to love, and when you choose to love, just like you

  421. choose you love your wife, your husband, even for better, for words,

  422. for richard, for poorer, in sickness and in heather till divorce.

  423. Don't know not to divorce till death. Amen. Don't go at your own

  424. vows. Someone said before now that the young people these days are many of

  425. them writing their own vows. Uh. And in in in an ex church,

  426. we allow people to write their own vows, but we ask them to

  427. still finish with the traditional vows because of the new vowser is very very nice

  428. and touchy. And I will swim the longest river for you, and the

  429. crocodiles will come and uh, you know, okay, But there's no for

  430. better for worse. And that's why a lot of divorces are happening because we

  431. didn't meet a commitment too. Even the worst of you, I still love

  432. you. There's this, ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no value until

  433. the fuller. The wife lost three teeth. I didn't say for better for

  434. worse. Okay, sorry for Richard for poorer. You know sometimes when people

  435. make the vowser these days, because I also lead people in their vows very

  436. not they should not for Richard for poorer, should not until no job do

  437. we part? Are you also? You me? This is very very important.

  438. Rise, So speak to yourself. Hey, how many have you know

  439. that in the scripture they all wanted to stone David. David's all men wanted

  440. to stone him, and he, the Bible says, strengthened himself in the

  441. Lord. What did he did? Come on, David, I know they

  442. all want to kill you. They all want to stone you. I know,

  443. David, Come on you. The great ocean ain't gonna sink you if

  444. you don't sink yourself. And then he turns around and he leads the same

  445. men who are wanting to stone him to victory. Can you ever imagine leading

  446. people who hate you, people who hate you in the office, leading them

  447. into the next big contract? Who said they want to follow you in the

  448. first place. But as a leader, you've got to beeble lead yourself before

  449. you lead others. Eyboy, say okay, oh, this is important,

  450. it's important. I'm spending a long time on it because I tell you what

  451. Jesus came. Do you want to be healed? Do you know there's a

  452. choice? Do you want to be healed? Isn't it an obvious Lord,

  453. I'm in the right place at the right time. Yeah, but do you

  454. the right spirit? You can be at the right place at the right time.

  455. You can. Everyone can be here, and this is the right place,

  456. this is the right time. Today, Sunday amazing. Can you find

  457. a better place than church in the presence of God? No, Sunday especially,

  458. right place, right time, right people, write message, write songs,

  459. and everything is right. But you can go wayte too wrong? Why?

  460. And then worse still? If this carries on, You're gonna be very

  461. cynical. And I've tried everything already. I've tried the best churches. I've

  462. tried the best preachers, I've tried the best whatever. The best book they

  463. have out there in Glad sounds okay. The len I've tried it. Have

  464. you tried to rise? Have you tried to rise? Have you tried to

  465. rise? Amen? My father rose, I could see it in his face.

  466. Change turns to the therapist one more time, and he not screamed.

  467. He screamed, but he had purpose and he had passion, and finally the

  468. result, just in two weeks, ladies and gentlemen, a miracle happened.

  469. But a miracle came with a condition of I want this, I need this.

  470. I can't continue to remain like this. I can't. I cannot blame

  471. sometimes I when I look at my weight, But of course I blame Malasia.

  472. Right if I was leaving some somewhere else. Now, all those of

  473. us who are trying to lose weight, of course we blame blame Malasia.

  474. Who else to blame? Malasia's fault to have sort of such good food,

  475. Malaysia's fault. Pinang Pina himself. Enough for Pinang created half of this.

  476. The a half was equal because I had to stop by when you're when you

  477. drive to now you got to by epo. Okay, no you don't.

  478. You just so these days I lost about eight kilograms since you turned. And

  479. it was also for my for my health. And and these days I go

  480. like, okay, I like that, but it's you know, food,

  481. it's actually tastes me. You don't have to finish it. One so I

  482. learn a few things about losing number one, Share everything, share everything.

  483. Number two, get ready to waste some food. I know I always what

  484. to do. I did. I only needed that much, but the food

  485. I gave me that much. Now, of course, if there's no one

  486. around to share, I go like okay, because otherwise you think no wasted

  487. lie. I know the people in China's suffering, people in Africa's suffering,

  488. people in Timbucto. You know, now, don't worry about it. My

  489. food won't reach Timbakto. So don't be so sad that wasted food won't reach

  490. Africa. But you got to care for yourself now. Of first, if

  491. they can give you half that but they don't, Oh can I have half

  492. a cocacola? They don't give you that, right, they give you the

  493. full amount of the food. Anyway, Why am I talking about losing?

  494. Great But you know you blame right? Is this person? Is that person?

  495. You don't know how to say. It's my school, is my teacher?

  496. Is my right? And you know Jesus always teaches us to make the

  497. best of everything he gives us. In every place we are. We don't

  498. go to the best places. We make the worst places. The best you

  499. those of you are getting getting married. You're not gonna get the best husband

  500. or the best wife immediately. You know, they become that. They become

  501. that. Hey, if you can get that ready made, that ready made,

  502. perfect husband, other people want knows all, and the first one into

  503. the pool will get it. Hallelujah. Amen, Rise now, he says,

  504. take up your bit. I used to not understand this, but Jesus

  505. said it two or three times, two or three different people, two or

  506. three different occasions. He expects you before you walk. Rise. Yes,

  507. Lord, I'm reason, Yes Lord. Come on, it's a brand new

  508. day. I believe I have faith. Come on, Kenneth Chin. You

  509. are loved by God. People outside I call you ugly. But as long

  510. as God things, I'm beautiful. People on the outside my thing, I'm

  511. a failure. It's God things. I'm you know, successful in Him.

  512. Why because I'm a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, his own special people.

  513. Amen. First, what was that first? Peter two nine? Speak

  514. to yourself. Stop being so down and stop being so depressed. Okay,

  515. let's talk about depression for what and also other stuff that goes on in your

  516. life. Any time you're down, you always look for the bit anytime you're

  517. in pain, you look for the bid. In English, sometimes we say

  518. I'm resigned, meaning to my bid means you're gonna go asleep. But some

  519. of us do really resign from life itself. People who are depressed, God

  520. bless them and God help them. But you know I've seen them, and

  521. I've also been there before. You know what happens, right, somebody,

  522. somebody is this? When the morning comes, you wish it was night because

  523. you're so depressed. Oh, nighttime come? Then when you wake up at

  524. night, who morning come? You know you want the morning to come when

  525. his night? When you want the night to come? When his morning?

  526. I said it before, and the bid really becomes your excuse. So I

  527. want to say this to you. Are that you and I will start to

  528. live excuses if you are not careful. So what did Jesus say? Jesus

  529. asked a question, do you want to be healed? What's the immediate answer

  530. from the man? I think it's found in verse five of US six.

  531. He could have answered a very simple question, do you want to be healed?

  532. And answer is yes. But after all this while he's not sure.

  533. He's not sure because that would mean that he has to give up his nice

  534. space at the corner with the double bit, and you know whatever else he

  535. made. I have a I have a friend, a younger friend than me,

  536. around younger friend to me, and he was studying in the International Medical

  537. University. His name is Kenneth as well, so he's now doctor Kenneth,

  538. one of the top doctors in town. And doctor Kenneth used to study for

  539. ten twelve hours in the IMU library. But because he was a senior,

  540. he had the whole table to himself. We're about four to eight chess,

  541. all right, and no student would touch it because it belongs to Senior Kenneth.

  542. And Senior Kenneth spends ten to twelve hours there, and so the four

  543. chairs is for him to sleep, get up, read sleep, get up

  544. read sleep. Okay, so this is the thing. Everybody who goes into

  545. the library knows that Connor. And you you you're not going to give up

  546. that connor so easily, because I worked hard to get to that cornor.

  547. And this man was asked a question, do you want to be healed?

  548. He has no answer because he's not sure. Now he's not sure, but

  549. he could give an excuse. The answer was an excuse. I have no

  550. man to put me in, no man to put me in. So it's

  551. always going to be someone else, someone else who didn't do or should do

  552. is always gonna be someone else. But I want to tell you right now,

  553. Jesus is here in this room, right beside you, if not before

  554. you, and he loves you, and he can see you in a place

  555. whereby you have gotten overly comfortable, to the place where you can't even answer

  556. whether you still want this or not, whether you still want this marriage or

  557. not, whether you still when this kid's not and there for adoption or you

  558. you you you still want to be part of this church, and you're not

  559. sure. You once were sure, but you know so much disappointment and this

  560. discouragement has come your way that now you're not sure, and you've you've parted

  561. yourself in your pain, and you found comfort in your crisis. You found

  562. comfort in your crisis, and you don't want to give up of this particular

  563. status that you have now because the status brings you a lot of attention.

  564. Status status actually maybe sometimes even gives you an excuse to remain as you are.

  565. Why is this guy's too so angrier? Because you don't understand ten years

  566. ago, da da da da da da da, this is what happened.

  567. So it gives you the justification to remain like a papaya face. You understand,

  568. and then from ten years you've become twenty years or twenty years ago,

  569. because you're still angry, right, still sulking. But you see, the

  570. day you give up the excuse is the day you have to also stop sulking,

  571. because now you know more, you don't have any more excuse to south

  572. and to be angry and to be and to be unkind with your words.

  573. So a lot of people don't want to give up the excuse. So he

  574. said, there is no man to put me in a pool, and as

  575. soon as the angel comes to the water, someone jumps inside before me.

  576. I was thinking to myself that if you were there for a long time,

  577. shouldn't you part yourself next to the pool? Just rolling now? Yeah,

  578. you already know the time, you know, twenty fifth of December coming Eddie

  579. say yeah, but he cannot walk. You know you're senior. Now ask

  580. somebody for senior privileges? Can you please carry me to the site there?

  581. You know, I just want to roll in when the when the water is

  582. there. No, he's probably parked by the side there. He doesn't really

  583. want to give up his position. He's nice and comfortable, and every year,

  584. ladies, lemen, he will have the same excuse. Yes, won

  585. every year for the next ten years, twenty years. Jesus went to him.

  586. My other question is is now, why did he not touch other people

  587. there? And then I think about the woman with the issue of blood.

  588. The woman with the issue of blood went towards him. Everyone who's ever wanted

  589. that healing, the breakthrough has gone to find him. So he knows that

  590. it was that man that he needed, he needed to find. And today

  591. in this room, there are some of you who have lost a lot of

  592. hope and a lot of you know whatever it takes to have you look for

  593. Jesus and find him and reach out to him. So the Lord is here

  594. to find you. He's here to find you. And in that place,

  595. in that bedsta he found a man who couldn't find him because everyone else in

  596. the Bible that was healed by Jesus, they pushed through the crowd just to

  597. get to him, just to touch the hem of his garment. And I'm

  598. telling you right now, everyone as long as you are reasoned within you,

  599. but believe you will be here. But there's some where are either place where

  600. by I've given up impass that you don't understand, and I'm not here to

  601. knock you. I'm not here to say oh because you're weak, and no,

  602. I understand what he means. I understand what he means. And so

  603. he's here to find you because he believes you don't have what it takes to

  604. find him. And you can appear again at the right This man was at

  605. the right place, right time, and yet still can miss it. So

  606. as we draw to a close, you know, I think about the bid,

  607. and I think about how when we're tired we go to the bid,

  608. and some of you are tired, you go to bed when you're depressed.

  609. The bid is your comfort when you're down, discourage, when you're crying on

  610. your pillow, is your bed, and the Lord says to us, pick

  611. up your bed that has all these years been pulling you down. I'll end

  612. with a quick testimony. Happened about a few years ago. I was taking

  613. the pandemic years to study on healing and deliverance and casting out demons. So

  614. two and a half years of studying because I couldn't go and practice on people

  615. right because it was pandemic. So you want to go in business someone's house,

  616. but you're not allowed to visit. So I was studying, I was

  617. watching. I watch probably about one hundred and twenty videos from Africa, you

  618. know, seeing great men of God heal people from Korea Jongi Cho, you

  619. know, back all the way back to the old days of Kenneth Hagen or

  620. Roberts, you know, William Bradham and so and so forth. So I'm

  621. studying, studying, studying, siding, taking notes. Then I go to

  622. the Bible. I read all of Jesus healing and taking down notes, so

  623. three hundred and seven notes of just learning from the Lord. But I had

  624. to practice, but there was no one to practice on. So the Lord

  625. made me sick. Okay, So the Lad says, you want to practice?

  626. You really? One day? I said, yeah, so sulling me

  627. pain out of blue and why are you immediately me pain? So how I

  628. had to have to have to have to practice in the name of Jesus and

  629. all that blood of the Lamb. So some will leave me in five seconds,

  630. some will leave me in five days. But every sickness that came upon

  631. me in two years is not dead. It's left because the Lord also wants

  632. you to practice. So I I didn't embrace sickness that I got. Okay,

  633. training time, Oh my grains, and I never get my grain one,

  634. no sunning up my grain. So I said, okay, right now,

  635. okay, So yeah, what to do? Lord? So he's taught

  636. me a lot of things. One day, I was in my prayer room,

  637. and in my prayer room at that time was a bid. And I

  638. decided to just lay down my bid. And suddenly, after about three minutes,

  639. I try to get up. I couldn't get up. You know,

  640. I was pain all over in my body, especially my spine. I'm like,

  641. what I go on the bid? Okay? You know where to come

  642. up is in pain. So I would like, I'm trying to I'm trying

  643. to even roll our bit is painful. I'm like, what's going on?

  644. Okay? And I know anything to be sudden when night is spiritual. Okay,

  645. anything sudden is usually ninety nine spiritual. So I said, Lord,

  646. and the load says, you get yourself up. See a lot of times

  647. that Christian cannot get yourself up there. But we must learn to get ourselves

  648. up because there's nobody. I thought myself, maybe text Bassandra, you know,

  649. demand that she comes back because I'm her loving husband, for better,

  650. for worse, for Richard, for poor, in sickness and in hell,

  651. come home now. I need you. And the Lord says, no,

  652. you get yourself up as maybe an ambulance. That was how bad it was.

  653. And then says, come on, don't be a c c. Okay,

  654. oh no, the Lord sometimes talk to me, and that I didn't

  655. talk to you. He talks to you very gentle one. Right, the

  656. Lord that talks to you very gentle one and very I know, I know

  657. with me, he's a bit like, you know, strong, what is

  658. this here? So I'm on with a bit, oh Lord, you know.

  659. And and it was pain enough, Mabel, do you have tears coming

  660. on my eyes? I'm like, how can this be? I just go

  661. onto this bid for three or four minutes, you know, five maybe at

  662. the most, And and then the Bible the verse came, Rise, Kenneth,

  663. take up your bed and walk. I don't think I'll be but Kenned

  664. is double bit la but rise take away a bit and I know it's spiritual.

  665. So I tried and cannot because it's painful, so I said, I

  666. said, Lord, I can't, And the lot of says Rice, Rice.

  667. As soon as you rise, you a walk. The walking is the

  668. easy part, the rising. So there's so many excuses. They came to

  669. my mind. Cannot lah, you'll break your back, that you'll make it

  670. worse. Slah, you know, remember the story, and then there will

  671. always be a story, always be a story that you can remember of your

  672. auntie, your uncle, your grandfather. You know who actually tried and then

  673. broke his whole backboard. Fear, because fear is very important for the enemy.

  674. Fear the enemy. Without fear, he has no power. So fear

  675. has to come in. So finally he says, Kenneth, and I kick

  676. you know the bid head hands. I can't you know? The hands are

  677. started reaching out to me. Of course, I think this is all spiritual.

  678. But the head started coming and pulling my body back like suddenly, I

  679. can you can imaging your folm your film to turn in your hands. No,

  680. no, I didn't see the hands that it probably didn't happen, but

  681. it happens spiritually, like pulling back, and the bid started to answer it

  682. on my behalf the basically, no, he cannot. He cannot because if

  683. he stands up, you know he will fall down and be worse. And

  684. you know what, he cannot. And the Lord says said to me,

  685. Kenneth, I'm not going to listen to your better and neither are you going

  686. to listen to your bet you get up, I said, Lord, he's

  687. probably going to be one of those try my best to push myself up and

  688. die type. No, okay, this would be my last two drama.

  689. This would be my last push, the last of them weakens. You know,

  690. this would be my last push in okay, And seriously, usually the

  691. Lord gives you at least at one strength to get up, and when you

  692. get it, you better get up. So I waited for a while,

  693. waited for the right time, like, how do I do I get up?

  694. This way? Do I get every sod? I'm thinking my mind,

  695. do I get up straight away? But people tell me don't get up straight

  696. away? Because so okay, okay, A lot of people say, people

  697. say, people say, people say, anti anc say, and neighbors say,

  698. you know, boss say, in order to say say say, And

  699. then the most botn is what does he say? And he said get up,

  700. so I keep you know, I just okay. I'm like, I

  701. know I'm going to hurt myself badly when I get up, But I hear

  702. the voice the Lord, and something rolls up within me. Has to first,

  703. he has to, he has. And I got up. As soon

  704. as I got up from bitter no pain, all gone, all gone,

  705. I'm like, hey, what was it all about? And the and the

  706. Lord allows us to go to test like that. Now this is just pain,

  707. pain, pain, pain, pain. But it was all in the

  708. mind. It was all attacked by the enemy. And actually he's a big

  709. lios. Oh, the devil is a big liars. So so he tries

  710. to and the bid, the bid helps, you know, And so I

  711. you got to today as I close, you've got to find yourself getting out

  712. of your bed, getting out of your bid of excuses. You've got to

  713. and and and and and all kinds of words will come into your mind to

  714. tell you don't do it, don't do it, don't do it. But

  715. the word of the Lord must be the one that kinds that that encourages you

  716. to do it. The reason why I'm doing this, uh chapter and this

  717. message, if it's called the Lord told me that right here, right now,

  718. today, people are going to walk immediately. Okay. So whatever whatever

  719. that you couldn't do before, financially, whatever, marriage, children, okay,

  720. I'm going to say to you right now, all you need to do.

  721. Your part is to rise up whatever excuses you've been living by. Just

  722. take up that bed, take up that bed and walk. I think I

  723. totally before about the young elephant. So baby elephant rope around the lake.

  724. Elephant couldn't move. So as the years went by, because the elephant tried

  725. to get away, couldn't get away. Frustration, frustration, frustration, frustration,

  726. frustration leads to giving up, giving up, giving up, Let's not

  727. even try, let's not even try. And so when the baby elephant becomes

  728. really big, they just put a thin rope. And sometimes even that string

  729. is a string. They do this in India. And so the trainer was

  730. asked, why do you just put a small little string, And they think

  731. the stringer and they don't really even tight tightly on a pole, and and

  732. and and it's just this, right, the baby elephant tried all these days

  733. to get away, they can't. So now when the big elephant tries to

  734. even move and feels just a little tugging on the feet, and in the

  735. elephant's mind is I'm I'm bound. I realized the rope is not an external

  736. rope. The rope is an internal rope. And how many of us sometimes

  737. feel bound because you know that your father had this problem, your grandfather had

  738. this problem. So a little bit, a little bit manifests in your body

  739. and you're go like, oh no, I'm gonna die of cancer. Oh

  740. no, I'm gonna die of Parkinson's. Oh no, I'm gonna die of

  741. no No. I pray today, as we pray for people, that God

  742. will remove the bondages from our minds. Right Rice, We hope you've been

  743. blessed by this message. For more information on our church, please visit x
