Let's Not Grow Too Old For Jesus | Elder Wong Kien Yiak

You're listening to a message to go from X church. We hope this message

will light up your day. I was asking the lower to speak. You

know, sometimes you get you know a few things that you know you want

to share to the church, and I've got this message is that let's not

grow old to all for Jesus. Cool as you could see. Now you

know why the message is much needed, need it, you know, But

really that you know, there's so much life in Christ. Could you turn

It was that Jesus entered and the multitude welcome him, for they were all

waiting for him. The Bible here says that Jesus came to a particular place

the multitude, the people was waiting for Jesus. I'm not sure how many

of us here this morning that you are hoping and waiting for God to do

something, but yet not engaging the Lord. There's too many Christians right now

are just waiting, coming to a place, waiting for God because in worse

for the One, and behold that came a man called Gyrous. You could

be like the multitudes whereby just coming to church wishing something to happen, or

you could be like Gyrus. Lord, I need a breakshoe. Lord,

I need a break shoe in our Christian world. I pray that you become

more like Gyrus, whereby we just can't. The word is accept things in

our life and like cannot be changed. I pray that you become a spirit

of gyrosy Lord, I have a dying doctor in my house. I need

your intervention. I pray you'd be like Gyrius. This morning, I say,

God, unless you move, my daughter will be dead. Because too

many christ just coming to church, whereby not having engaging the power of God,

not engaging the Holy Spirit, and yet go back empty and be satisfied.

We're just coming to church, you and I this morning with the words

that we need to be like Gyros and God. Unless you move in my

business, I'm dead. Unless you move with my family, I'm dead.

Unless you do something in my life, I'm dead. We can live a

Christian life, you know, be a fitful Christian coming to church. But

is that all God wants to do? Is that all the law wants us

to do? This morning? Because the Bible here says Gyros was desperate.

Gyros had the situation I know that everyone of us here is experiencing a challenge

financial, health, family, all life. Obviously I'm going through some things,

but we just accept things like they are. Cannot be changed. Cannot

be changed. It can be with servant or mighty God that cannot come in

to all life. Friends. A Christian work is by the work of faith,

not by sight. Today you may be going through some things, but

it's not forever. So worse For the one Gyvers came and he was a

ruler of the city God. He fell down at the field of Jesus.

The multitudes did not by Gyvers did I prayed that this morning, that there

is a spirit, reliness, a God. I need to humble myself.

The Bibles is in the Book of James, draw near to God, friends,

I need to humble ourself to draw near to God. But what stops us

from drawing you to God? Right? Stops us from drawing near to God?

Friends? Sometimes we think that just because we are serving, just because

we are giving the ability to give, the ability to serve, we think

that we have a huge. The world is a humble heart. The true

humility is when we sick the Lord in everyday. God, I need you

in my life. God, I need you in my life Like givers,

Givers went not on these knees. They say, God, I need you

you and I this morning? Friends, how is a heart? How is

a posture? Where was the last as? We actually say? God,

unless you move, I don't care what my neighbor have to say. I

don't care about my wife have to say. God, I need to stick

your face because unless you move, my daughter is dead. Givers humble himself

before the Lord. Why someone us don't have a breakshoe because we have this

pride within us, just because we have a big bank account, we have

never sought the Lord. I can't say this right now. Study older than

they. I was meeting a guy um at the cafe and he was asking

me, how am how how are you? I say that about and for

the eight he's in no way said twenty years my senior. I say yeah.

I said, I also that you look like somebody beating thirty five.

So I did that ascond buy your lunch. But here's the thing, friends,

it is not the length of time just because that we have more time

in our life, I don't need to seek the Lord. God will bring

us to a place of dependency on him. God will bring us to a

place where might be a good crowding for more of him. Friends, what's

the use of money when our chiling are not following the Lord? You can't

pay your way out of a situation. There will be days whereby our health

will be challenged. Although you have excess, so greater health care about true

health comes from the Lord. So I would say a man, some of

us here have difficulty in studying. Friends, you can't pay your way.

I need to study better, So you put in fifty in it somewhere to

deposit a better brain. You can't. And most times where we are with

our heart reveals, friends, because givers have tried every physician, but yet

nothing happened. How many of you know that Jesus did not reject Gyros because

the Bible is so true to his word. If you were to humble yourself

and sick my face, God says he will turn and look towards us.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you, James.

So when Gyvers went on his knees, friends and ask God and bank God,

will come to your house. Some of us say, have not had a

busy station from Lord for the longest time. That's why we are dry,

we are cranky, we are moody. When we moved away from the love

of friends. But I've counsel many people when before I love the Lord brought

strength. They shall wait upon the Lord. They shall reknew that strength.

Those that wait upon the Lord of friends. Those that wait upon the Lord

shall we knew. There come our church be a bit more excited. Those

that wear upon the lor shall amen. Friends, You and I today kneed

to know that Jesus answers to desperate hats crying. Jesus, who answered a

desperate heart cry, He did not, as Gyus Jarius, how much do

you give your ties an offering? Jesus did not, as Gius Genius,

have you been faithful to coming to churchen on? Jesus did not as Jarus,

Jius, have you been going to homes or not? Jesus responds to

the hart cry of Gyus because Gyus was a place of desperation, a place

of honesty, and a place whereby God, unless you move, I'm date

many times the old Christian life, we build up pride just because we are

alive. We are well fed, everything is taken care of. There is

no need to engage. I'm going to say this again. The Bible says

that be of good cheer. I've overcome the world. But in this world

you have trans and tribulation. Everything is going to go for or shaking.

Friends, unless you prepare your faith, unless you prepare your spirit to what's

to come. Friends, most of us who crumble under the pressure. Let

me go down all the way to worse. For denying, well, Jesus

was on the way there. Someone came up to the ruler Verse for denying,

someone came up to the Gyrus and say to him, your daughter is

there. Don't trouble the teacher. Your daughter is there, don't trouble the

this. You could have a situation for twelve years, but I won't let

the Savior, from the Master, he can change your life. You and

I need to be excited because the modern day church has lots. It's grassroots,

it can be friends that when you buy a piece of property, friends,

you walk in there, your hairstads, because there's a spirit living in

Why on earth do you take time to talk to other people? How many

times you have blamed God for things that he didn't do? Come on now

in your Christian how many ties you blamed the Lord God? Why why this

my many years of doing church, there are a lot of times people blame

God for everything. When you know right? First of all, no kapa

you. God led you to a company. God led you to a college.

God let you to a life partner. God let you to a church.

God led you to a business contract. God let you because you know

you pray for it, and God let you. You say words like God

our hearts. Come on, right now, God will use the wind and

God is good. Use the wind and the waves to reveal what's in

your heart. Because God will always bring your place whereby what used to know,

where your security used to be. Friends, it will not be because

you don't have the land access to land anymore. You are in see whereby

your life is only by the mercy and the grace of God. You're like

today, Friends, will come to a place whereby God wants to reveal and

the rerelation, friends is not for you to complain. Friends, the revelation

is not for you to complain because in our Christian world friends. Many Christians

like to complain, but instead friends. The Bible here says the verse twenty

five, now the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went to them walking

on the sea. Even though you are tossed to and fro maybe Christ out

to God. The Bible reassures us that he will come to us first.

I was speaking to people who really works that you are in the situation because

no one else could help you. You came to church this morning not looking

for a good, good sense, good feeling, or good sensation. You

keep the ches because you wanted the brickshoe. You wanted a direction. Many

times in a Christian Bard, when you're in the middle of seeing peach darkness,

friends, you can know where to turn to but to the Lord.

You and I today need to have this spirit of God. Unless you come

to me, I will be drowning. The Bible here says, even the

God is already at work. God is already at work in your life.

It though we can't see, friends, it is really a work in your

life, even though you can't see it. First, didn't know that we'll

get this place, don't We don't know. This place used to be a

former disco. Some of you know it. It was really bad. Some

of the pillars around you right now used to be toilets, toilets. The

espressional area used to be something else. The foot so called area used to

be a something else. Every worker that came away here to work, we're

You tell me what would you Why are you going to preach at the

mission field? Why are you going to share with the people about your journey

of faith, your life of faith, how to study well? Because at

the mission field, first they have not been to school, some of them.

What would you share at the field that we're encouraged their faith? The

only thing you can share is God is faithful, and God will be true

to his work. When you pray, you will listen. And many times

our own warld friends, the only reason why we are dumbers because we've never

engaged the Lord. The Bible here says it was twenty five fourth watch Jesus

They crowd in fear. Why would the disciples see Jesus walking on water

God. When you can see people working from the author, people being prayer,

why they're failed. And because we're the familiar with something, we come up

are so unfamiliar with the supernatural that we just say, oh, this is

something else. How many, even though the God really wants the world is

to see us strive, even though this time, yeah, how many of

us really want to see God working in our life. There we are men

than just earning more than a wage. There we can. We are here

on earth for significance, for a reason, and for a purpose. You

and I today, friends, You are not called here just to exist.

We are called here to live for the glory of God, to do his

purpose and his view. It says, here, what's you're in? The

seven? They immediately Jesus to them, be of good cheer. It is

of good cheer. It is I friends, when you are familiar with the

Lord. Friends, that's why to be a fearful faith it's always taking the

For us, many times you're served by faith friends, we are not very

sure it was the next step, but we can be very sure that God

is leading us. When was the last time, really that the act of

faith was so evident in our life? We know this is the Lord telling

you, where was the last time we actually see God? Here? I

am Lord. I want to come out because I know that you're speaking to

me. It can be our faith friends there were alive in doing our campus

days. When became a young working a doubt is dormant right now. The

older we go, the more report to seemer than after their capt It can

be friends, life is so much more than that first. It can be

that when you used to go for missus only when we are younger, when

we grow older cannot It can be friends who used to serve firmly to the

Lord. When you are older and no time one day you and I need

to give an account. What will you see to God the Lord? At

least how I normally challenge people that's under my care. I say, you

look at the face of Jesus and you just imagine what Jesus will say to

you if you decide to stop serving. And most time their response like I

look at Jesus, I don't know want to say to you exactly what reasons

are you going to tell God? God? Have you enough for serving you?

When all the time you're so consistent, of friends, He's been blessing

you, protecting you, leading you, guiding you. Come on, leading

you, guiding you, and many times what happened? God, you don't

understand I love you by hit your people. I love you by God.

You have you heard of these people could call your disciples? It is so

tough to work with them. Lord. I don't mind what give you,

Lord, because you and I come ching, Lord? But what gave you

your disciples? This is the next level, friends, That's what you need.

Their faith. That's why Jesus say, come on, be of good

ship. It is I, do not be afraid. It is I that

called you into the boat. Come on our church. It is I that

led you to the church. It is a lie that led you to the

business, to led you to the entity they're working right now, that company

you're working with. It is I that led you to the university. Friends,

if God can lead you to a place, do you think you'll abandon

you? If God can lead you to a place, you'll think he'll abandon

you. I was talking the past the one day you know, the Legacy

Project really taught us me and pasted up a lot of lessons about faith.

Faith. It's not one place whereby you have everything, then only you start

faith. It's not about everything, having everything only then you start. It

is not Faith is a confirmation. God put in your spirit something a project,

and say, God, give me a signment. God give you a

a faith as small as a master to start. If you can provide initial

for you, do you think that he'll provide the rest for you? Someone

you need to be started in your faith. If God can start something your

life, don't you think you'll bring it to completion? Or some of you

don't really believe me. If God can start something in your life, I'm

losing my voice. If God can start something in your life, friends,

don't you think that you'll bring it to completion, And many times you abandon

the project of faith in our life. Why cob because if you only you

know I love you, I can worship you. But it's your disciples.

I cannot stand. Why are use the way disciples? Because friends, many

times you give out of faith, not because of the weeds of the wave,

is because of the people in the boat. Come on right now.

Many times you don't promise you really you don't probmise a wave. Isn't it

true? We can think that we've in fact put me on everything I can

see, serve by Lord, serving your other people. Come on, let's

be honest here, because honestly really removes the power of pride God. I

can take the winds in the way, but it's the people in the boat

that cannot the hun And because of that I rather I rather think my chances

with the winds and the wave shame on my own, rather than be in

the boat. Pagos remained in the boat. Do you know how heart disease

are when you're facing a life threatening situation with fellow fellow believers in the boat.

Not you'll be one, There'll be one disciple, And definitely say that.

Let's not praise of worship, there will be another possess it. You

must have sin, you must have seen That's why we're facing this. You

must have done something bad. I was reading the Book of Job. I'm

still reading. Treat friends if you ever get the joke situation, A prayer

we can lead a worship service, because you and I need the nothing of

God to lead a worship service. You and I need to humble ourselves saying,

God, search my heart, Lord, if there's anything that's blocking your

way, your wealth in my life. And he says, here, Peter,

me to walk on water. Lord, if it's you command me to walk

on water. Friends, always love this God, help me, Lord,

say it and I'll do it. Peter took the first steph friends, None

God, what normally goes out the window? Friends? Have you observed your

life the moment you hit the challenge? What reduces your commitment to the Lord,

your desire to serve, with your desire to know him? When your

type for time? What happens? God? I got no tipe for devotion?

Maybe why minute prayer enough for me? I'm not knocking anybody down by

prayer at this pointing. Let God reveal where we are. Because the Bible

says when God reveals to Peter and the Disciples or ye r little faith,

he's encouraging them to grow their faith, not to condemn them. When God

reveals where the disciples are with their faith, it is not to condemn them,

but the word is to nurture them back to health. Peter, God's

eyes of Jesus. Friends, where is your eyes right now? Where have

your eyes been looking at? Where have you been looking at? Friends?

Because I can honestly let you know some of us God our eyes off Christ

and we're just going with emotion and God once this morning to revive our hearts

again, because we could be like the multitude surrounding Jesus. You know,

to surround God is a very good feeling to say that you go to church

ida my religious duty to give to do a bit. Yeah, I must

be speechly okay, But God wants going something deeper in our hearts. Friends,

Can you just say that God really wants to do something deeper in the

hearts because if it only allow God to do with friends, you have an

amazing story to tell to the Lord, amazing story to share with people.

you run. But those have journeyed with a lot of friends, those have

journeyed with the Lord, no matter what, they're still hold on to Christ,

no matter what. I've met people in their seventies and eighties. I

asked them, I say, do you tell me your life journey? They

begin to share, except the Christ's parents disowned them, kick off from the

family. This is modern times. You don't have people kick off family.

Most probably your allow us get reduced by by a couple of hunger to knee,

kick off from the family, stare out from the house, live in

the servant with the servants quarters. They still follow Christ, still follow the

Lord. Met a particular mom. She was telling me. You know,

when I got married, my pastor told me, if you, if you

had the husband, got the argument. You cannot hand your husband anymore.

You stay in the marriage, you work it out, You pray to the

Lord, you pray to God, ask God to change something in your marriage.

you do with this knowledge. I told my daughter that, I said,

daughter, you cannot leave the marriage. You pray, ask God to intervene,

and God will come true for you, no matter how hard it is.

If your husband be unfaithful, forgive, I'm just hearing this why she

was telling me. I was like, Wow, I say, how many

years you've been to disciplership school and nothing? Why? I just why would

my pastor say I would just do it these days? You authority or something?

Let me Let me seek an expert opinion. First, friends, trust

us and believe in these friends. God does have a plan for you,

not the words, not to stifle for you, not to put you down,

but to lift you up. So worse for the tree. Now there
