  1. You're listening to a message to go from at church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day today. I would like to share something were I

  3. was just thinking what actually am I going to share about, and just praying

  4. that God you, I pray that you will be a message that is simple,

  5. but yet you'll speak and remind us again about God's love for us and

  6. Jesus the perfect sacrifice. Amen, he is the reason. And if we

  7. have heard the kids sang the song just now right, made the best present

  8. of all is Jesus. Amen. Yeah. So today I've entitled my message

  9. why Jesus came, and that Jesus He's the perfect sacrifice. And we will

  10. look a little bit about the story about Mary and Joseph. Just to draw

  11. back again, how when Jesus was born and what was God's plan when he

  12. brought forth and he sent forth his only son into the world. So now

  13. I shall go straight into it, as I know that we have blessed draw

  14. some more at the and yes, and I know all of us will want

  15. to have lunch with one another. So Jesus came. Now again, I'm

  16. sure in the Bible there are many more verses in the Bible that mention why

  17. Jesus came. Now I'm not I can't cover everything, but today I will

  18. just mention two of the reasons why Jesus came. Hallelujah, Thank you Jesus.

  19. Jesus came to do the will of God the Father. So let's look

  20. at our first portion of scripture this morning, John Chapter six, verse thirty

  21. eight to forty. So today we'll be going to quite a number of scripture.

  22. We'll all go with that now. Of course XTV will assist me by

  23. putting it up on the screen. But I encourage all of you if you

  24. brought your Bibles along, whether it's your Heart Cover or your e Bibles,

  25. you can turn to it together, all right, and God's work together.

  26. All the scripture that I'm reading will be taken from the new King James version

  27. unless otherwise mentioned. All right, So reading in verse thirty eight, For

  28. I have come down from heaven not to do my own will is Jesus,

  29. but the will of Him who sent me. This is the will of the

  30. Father who sent me. That of all he has given me, I should

  31. lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this

  32. is the will of Him who sent me that everyone who sees the Son and

  33. believes in him may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at

  34. the last day. Amen. Amen. So that is the will of the

  35. Father for sending Jesus. So Jesus came to fulfill the will of God the

  36. Father. Now, when Jesus mentioned this to his disciples, he was telling

  37. the crowd. Okay, he first of all that he had come down from

  38. heaven. He made it really explicit. I have come down from heaven,

  39. all right, So Jesus said it, okay, that he come down from

  40. heaven. So now there's only one way to understand is that Jesus used to

  41. exist in heaven. You know how to come down from heaven? Gon,

  42. okay, But now he was on earth. Then he made another state.

  43. He said, he came to do the Father's will, not his own will.

  44. Again, nowadays, I do not know who would easily submit to another

  45. person's will. Honestly, all of us have our own will, even why

  46. not you know why sometimes to submit to your husband? Right, okay,

  47. So it's definitely not easy to the human and the carnal nature to submit to

  48. another person. Again, if you are hired, you're an employee, yes,

  49. you submit to your employer because you're paid for the job, right,

  50. he pays your salary, gun, so you have to summit to him.

  51. So you usually do it because there is either a benefit or there's something that

  52. there is a reason to do it, all right, willingly do something?

  53. Okay, okay, yeah, always in Jesus with something to God, I

  54. know, yeah, okay, okay. When Jesus came to earth, he

  55. came simply to please the Father, so he stated here so Hebrews in Hebrews

  56. ten, it says, when God the Father plan to save us, the

  57. son of God volunteered himself to offer himself as a sacrifice for our sins.

  58. Remember, Jesus just didn't appear two thousand years ago when he was born in

  59. a manger. Okay, he already existed, and that's why he can come

  60. down from heaven. Okay, okay. So Jesus, the son God the

  61. Sun, volunteered to offer himself as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus did

  62. not just submit to the Father's will, but he volunteered to come to earth

  63. to take on human flesh and die for our sins. And that's why Jesus

  64. said in John chapter six, in the verse forty that we have read right,

  65. and this is the will of him who sent me, that everyone who

  66. sees the sun and belize in him may have eternal life or ever lasting life.

  67. Jesus volunteered to do the will of God and to die on the cross.

  68. So this Christmas season, Jesus is not come to just give us holidays

  69. or family time. Now, family time and holidays are always good, music,

  70. food and all. That's what we do at usually at the end of

  71. the year and nearing the Christmas time, we have gifts, right, cookies,

  72. right, Okay, it's all fun and it's all good. But remember

  73. Jesus came to give us the assurance of eternal life. And I know that

  74. someone must here. We are here. We're invited by a friend. It

  75. could be your first time to church this morning, and I would really like

  76. to get to know you, So please don't rush off after the service.

  77. Join us at our lounge. You will love to get to meet you,

  78. get to say hi to you. But I pray that you will allow the

  79. Holy Spirit to speak to your hearts even this morning. Amen. Amen.

  80. So, and I wonder what Christmas will be like if we focus on humbling

  81. ourselves, just like Jesus did, and submitting to the will of God the

  82. Father. Amen. So that's the first reason Jesus came to do the will

  83. of God the Father. Jesus also came in my second point here, Jesus

  84. came to earth to die in our place for our sins. Now, from

  85. this point I will go on to explain a little bit more about the virgin

  86. birth of Jesus, and why is it so important? Okay, as we

  87. now, as we are celebrating Christmas. So Jesus, let's read from John

  88. chapter twelve, verse twenty seven, and he says, now my soul is

  89. troubled. Okay, Jesus said, and what shall I say? Father saved

  90. me from this hour, but for this purpose I came to this hour,

  91. all right. So Jesus, when he was go about to die on the

  92. cross, he was praying earnestly, and his sweat was like blood dripping.

  93. Okay. In fact, Jesus was praying, Oh, this is so hard,

  94. this is so tough, Father, if possible, I do not want

  95. to take this cup. Can it be somebody else? All right? Why

  96. does it heaving me? Why not? Jesus? So fear away? Okay,

  97. okay, okay, So for this purpose. But he knew his purpose,

  98. and he said, but Father, not my will, but your will

  99. be done right. But for this purpose I came for this hour. Now,

  100. this hour that was mentioned in this verse, okay, is basically talking

  101. about the all that Jesus had to go to, his betrayal, his arrests,

  102. his trial, and his condemnation for claiming to be the son of God,

  103. and ultimately his death on the cross for our sins. Now, we

  104. all know that the religious leaders brought him to Pilot and then they lied about

  105. his statement in order to have him killed. Eventually, Pilot brought Jesus before

  106. the crowd. And what did the crowd called for? Crucify him? Now,

  107. so that afternoon on Friday, Now this is the date according to the

  108. Jewish calendal nis Son fourteen eighty de three. Christ died on the cross for

  109. our sins. What does this mean? It means that Jesus substituted himself for

  110. us and suffered for our sins. Now, why I'm saying all this,

  111. later we will go a little bit more. Right, He is our substitutionary

  112. atonement. He did not have to die for our sins. But he did

  113. it willingly on our behalf. That means, just like you have two kids,

  114. the one that's wrong, who's supposed to get the king's not the one

  115. who got the king, the sister God the king like okay, okay.

  116. So Jesus took our place to die on the cross as a penalty for sin,

  117. because the penalty of sin is death right. So he took that on

  118. the cross from himself. Now in One Peter, chapter two, verses twenty

  119. four to twenty five, it says, who himself, as in Jesus,

  120. bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, having

  121. died to sins, might live for righteousness. By whose stripes you were healed,

  122. for you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the

  123. shepherd and overseer of your souls. So again, whose stripes you were healed,

  124. He died for our sins. Amen. In March chapter ten, verse

  125. forty five states Jesus came to Earth to ransom many. He ransom the elike,

  126. for even the Son of Men did not come to be saved, but

  127. to serve and to give his life a ransom for many. So, again,

  128. drawing from scripture, we know the reason why Jesus came. Amen.

  129. Jesus came not need to the will of God, the Father. Jesus came

  130. to take our place on the cross and to die for our sins. Amen.

  131. Amen. Now, why is Jesus the perfect sacrifice? Why cannot be?

  132. If Rafael sin I die for Rafel? Why not me? Why Jesus?

  133. Why is Jesus the perfect sacrifice? So Christ's sacrifice of himself for our

  134. sins would not have been possible without the virgin birth. So Mary Joseph all

  135. played a part in the birth of Jesus to make this possible. Right,

  136. Okay, because sometimes when we read and when we see all this, all

  137. the skids are all because we are so used to when we know the story

  138. in and out. But so even myself, I was just sterving about it

  139. and reading about it again, yeah and again and now understanding a little bit

  140. more. Why is it so important? So it is important because for three

  141. again not these are not the only reasons it's important. I'm just drawing three

  142. reasons out. Okay, the virgin birth is important for three reasons recorded it

  143. now? Why again, scripture doesn't record everything, but the fact that scripture

  144. records it means it is important, okay. So it's important because the scripture

  145. records it. It was prophesied long time ago, seven hundred years ago in

  146. the Old Testament, and it reveals Christ was holy all right, via the

  147. virgin birth. So let's go to the first one. Now, if those

  148. of us we read we read the Bible, we know that the Bible does

  149. not record everything. It doesn't say. It doesn't talk about, for example,

  150. the story about when the angel Gabriel appeared to marry and to announce to

  151. her that she is the chosen one that will bring forth a son. The

  152. Bible did not mention anything about Mary's parents, Okay, so a lot of

  153. it will be imaginative later we can imagine how the power of her parents have

  154. felt. And it talks about Joseph. But they mentioned about Joseph's parents and

  155. other things around as well. Okay. But the fact that it is mentioned

  156. meaning it is important, okay, Okay. So now let's look at where

  157. it is mentioned in scriptures. So let's go back to the story in Louk

  158. chapter one, right, folks, We'll start reading from verse twenty six to

  159. thirty eight Verse twenty six in Luke chapter one. Now, in the sixth

  160. month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named

  161. Nezareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named whose name was Joseph of

  162. the House of David. The virgin's name was Mary, and having come in,

  163. the Angel said to her, rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord

  164. is with you. The blessed are you among women. But when she saw

  165. him, she was troubled at his saying and considered what manner of greeting this

  166. was. Then the Angel said to her to not be afraid, Mary,

  167. for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in

  168. your womb and bring forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus.

  169. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest. And

  170. the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he

  171. will reign over the House of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will

  172. be no end. Then Mary said to the Angel, how can this be,

  173. since I do not know a man. And the Angel answered her and

  174. said to her, the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power

  175. of the Highest will overshadow you. Therefore also that the Holy One who is

  176. to be born will be called the Son of God. Now, indeed,

  177. Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age,

  178. and this is now the sixth month for her who has who was called Baron.

  179. For with God nothing will be impossible. A man that Mary said,

  180. behold the mid servant of the Lord. Let it be to me according to

  181. your word. And the angel departed from her. So this passage shows us

  182. again about the story about how the angel appeared to marry. And we all

  183. are very familiar. Okay, So the baby will be virgin born. So

  184. we are told in verse one the angel appeal to marry, and his name

  185. was Gabriel. Okay. And this angel is not just any angel. Gabriel

  186. stood in the presence of God. Okay. Earlier in the chapter we read

  187. about it. The fact that this angel appears is significant since he normally stands

  188. in the presence of God, and he was like God's and misery. He's

  189. not just any angel who visited Mary. Now, So in verse twenty seven,

  190. if we were told twice that Mary was a virgin, now the normal

  191. Greek word for virgin just means she is not married. But in verse thirty

  192. four we see the word virgin again, and it explicitly just means she's not

  193. knowing a man. Not only was she not married, doesn't mean not married,

  194. not knowing a man can don't even think. Okay, So not mary

  195. is one thing she was not She has not been engaged in any sexual activity.

  196. That's what it means. Okay. So in verse thirty four we find

  197. that Mary told the angel she was a virgin. So how do we know

  198. that if she was not a virgin? She wouldn't ask that question. She

  199. can only ask that question, how can this be? When the Angel told

  200. her, since I do not know a man? Okay, Not only she's

  201. not married, she does not know a man. So now in verse thirty

  202. five, the angel gave her the answer. Okay. So the angel gave

  203. the answer that the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of

  204. the highest will overshadow you. So this will overshadow in the Greek just means

  205. there's a cloud, like a sense of a cloud that will envelop her.

  206. All right, So in some sense the Holy Spirit will come and envelop her.

  207. So Gabriel said that, and that's how the child will be conceived.

  208. And this is a miracle isn't it. People. This is a miracle,

  209. all right, And this is a miracle that only God can do. And

  210. that's why the angel Gabriel have to come and explain everything to Mary. If

  211. you were married, what how do you feel? I think I'm married?

  212. Is so braver. The fact that she can say be unto me the donn

  213. song according to your word? Okay, although the age group you know I'm

  214. talking about, Okay, Okay, So that song that says, be it

  215. unto me Lord, according to your word. I'm sure she was. She

  216. was scared. I'm sure she was worried. I'm sure she had one thousand

  217. Okay, it's me. I got like one thousand and one thoughts in my

  218. head and questions in my head. I'm like, no, they canna be

  219. cann it being conclate? Okay, Okay. So but yes, Mary,

  220. Now, it wasn't immediately, okay, that she got pregnant straight away.

  221. It wasn't. So I think if we read the Bible. Later on,

  222. she went to visit her relative Elizabeth, okay, and then she stayed there

  223. for three months. Then only after that it was recorded in the Bible again.

  224. In between, we don't know what happened. Okay, it wasn't recorded,

  225. but we know after the visit she was then with child. Okay.

  226. Then only who knows Joseph or your poor guy that I tell you he doesn't

  227. know at all what's going on. Okay, okay. So like we talked

  228. about Joseph in a while, okay, okay. But the awesome thing in

  229. this verse that the angel has to remind Mary is what we read earlier on

  230. doing worship. It's verse thirty seven. For with God, nothing will be

  231. impossible because I can imagine how Mary feels to be this is impossible. Okay,

  232. So nothing is impossible. So now this is one of the passages in

  233. the Bible that talks about this. And then there's another passage in Matthew.

  234. So Matthieu also wrote about the story. So in Methil chapter one, we

  235. are told that the Angel of the Lord visits Joseph in the dream. So

  236. this occurs because Joseph and Mary again are engaged, okay, and then he

  237. will eventually discover that she is pregnant. So that's why the Angel of the

  238. Lord have to appear to Joseph as well. Let's read Matthew chapter one,

  239. verse eighteen to twenty three. Now, the birth of Jesus Christ was as

  240. follows. After his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together,

  241. she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph, her

  242. husband, being adjustment and not wanting to make her a public example, was

  243. minded to put her away sick. But while he thought about these things,

  244. behold and injel the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph,

  245. son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your

  246. wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

  247. And she will bring forth the son, and you shall call his name Jesus

  248. for her safe peace people from their sins. So all this was done that

  249. it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord true the prophet, saying,

  250. behold, the Virgin shall be with child and there a son, and

  251. they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is translated God with us. So

  252. Methil added the translation of the name. Okay, okay. So now by

  253. then only Joseph knew that this baby is of the Holy Spirit. Prior to

  254. that, do you think he believed Mary? Okay? So now engagement back

  255. then right in the Jewish culture is such, it's like a legal contract I

  256. feel. Okay, I might be not fully right, but this is what

  257. I think. But my understanding is that your r M. Now eagerly they

  258. get married and they stay whatever they sign or whatever, okay, and it

  259. is marriage, all right, so it's legally bound and its marriage. However,

  260. for us, now what we practice is your URMs and maybe just the

  261. day before, two days before, and then you take your vows after that.

  262. Right, for them, they must wait one year, okay before the

  263. final IDs why so that it can prove whether the woman is a pure woman

  264. or not. Okay, So if she was a virgin, she would be

  265. a virgin. Is not, she will be found with child after that year.

  266. So that's exactly what happened to Mary, okay in the eyes of Joseph.

  267. All right, Yeah, so if she became pregnant, then the marriage

  268. will be canceled. So that's the basic purpose of this one year wait.

  269. So Verse eighteen mentions that before the angel visited Joseph, he discovered that Mary

  270. was pregnant. So meaning after Mary visited Elizabeth came back, she was with

  271. child. I'm sure her parents will find out now in those days when they

  272. arbitrath the parents are involved on all right, So the parents are involved.

  273. Imagine she has now the angel did the Bible record the Angel appeared to the

  274. parents, or the best to marry, I tell you, and or the

  275. best of Joseph, So did not appeal to the parents. So Mary has

  276. the job to tell her parents that I'm with child, and then she has

  277. a job to tell Joseph, and Joseph bearents that she's a child. Do

  278. you think they believe her? I doubted, I personally doubted that Joseph believe

  279. her. I doubted that Joseph's parents believe her, and I think maybe even

  280. her own parents did not believe her. Okay, So that is what she

  281. would have to go through in order to work in obedience to what the Angel

  282. has said to her to be the mother of Jesus. Now again the Bible

  283. didn't say, but I imagine we imagine all right. Then later on only

  284. Joseph found out, okay. So in verse nineteen reports that instead of planning

  285. to stone her, he can have her stone. But he was a righteous

  286. man adjustment. Sometimes I wonder being adjustment a righteous man, shouldn't you do

  287. the right thing stone her life. But just man, righteous man, doesn't

  288. mean it means giving grace and being merciful. Amen. So he decided to

  289. actually quietly like divorce her so that he doesn't have to make a scene,

  290. don't have to embarrass or disgrace her all right. Then God came to the

  291. rescue by appearing in a dream to Joseph. Amen. So, and then

  292. the rest of it. We have read it already. So this is the

  293. same message when the Angel gave to Joseph. It's the same message that the

  294. angel gave to Mary as well, that that Jesus would be virgin born,

  295. and is repeated as well. So verse twenty one tells us why Christ was

  296. going to be virgin born, and she will bring forth a son, and

  297. you shall call his name Jesus. Why because cause he will save his people

  298. from their sins. I'm not sure if Mary and Joseph understood it at that

  299. time, But without being born of a virgin birth, he is not eligible

  300. to be the savior of our sins. And I said, okay, So

  301. he was going to be born in order to save people from the sins.

  302. So now, very good. Again, these are not the only two passages

  303. in the New Testament that reveals about christ virgin birth. There are others as

  304. well, but I'm just drawing this now. As I mentioned, it's also

  305. prophesied in the Old Testament in Isaiah chapter seven, verse fourteen. Therefore,

  306. the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, a sign. Why

  307. is a sign needed? A sign needed? Is only when something some you

  308. need to convince someone or something correct, I give you a sign, a

  309. sign, okay, So a sign. Behold, the Virgin shall conceive and

  310. bear a sign God that's not normal. And you shall call his name Immanual.

  311. All right. So again this message was given before any ultrasound, any

  312. all these technology, okay. And all we know is that his name is

  313. Emmanuel. And all this was seven hundred years before. And now Matthew,

  314. the author of the book or the Gospel of Matthew, report about this clearly

  315. in chapter one. So in chapter one of Matthew twenty three we read it,

  316. behold the Virgin shall be with child. Amen. So if you do

  317. not know what's the meaning of Emmanual, Metal translated it for us as well.

  318. Okay, So again again, because it is not only mentioned and recorded

  319. in the Bible, it is prophesied, and that's why it is so important.

  320. But again, what sums it all up is that the virgin birth reveals

  321. that Christ was holy. Now again, Jesus kay had to be sinless in

  322. order to be the perfect sacrifice. So questions for all of us, how

  323. could a holy God be born into this world and not be virgin born.

  324. If he had not been virgin born, he would have been a sinner,

  325. since he would have had a human father and mother, just like you and

  326. I. This is this is the ultimate reason for the virgin birth, all

  327. right, Okay, So in Romans chapter five, let's read some verses.

  328. Now, Therefore, just as true one man, sin entered the world,

  329. and death true sin, and thus death spread to all men because all sin.

  330. So this verse tells us that sin entered the world to Adam Adam's sin,

  331. and expect to all of us. So it's just like an infection like

  332. covid. Okay, okay, so we get we all get infected by sin.

  333. But in verse nineteen, if you read on, but as by one

  334. man's disobedience, many were made sinners, so also by one man's which is

  335. jesus is obedience, many will be made righteous. Amen. Amen, Amen.

  336. So this message is very simple. Adam caused the whole human race on

  337. the sin. Okay, and everyone and anyone born into this world, it's

  338. a sinner and only to Jesus, Amen, we can be saved. Hallelujah.

  339. Now I'm convincing you about the fact that that we are all born sinners.

  340. Okay, Psalms fifty one, verse five. It's King David road Behold,

  341. I was brought forth in iniquity and in sin. My mother conceive me

  342. all right, So we are all born sinners, and we prove that we

  343. are sinners every day by the fact that we do wrong right and we sin.

  344. Now, sometimes we are upset the fact that we are sinners. No,

  345. it's not my foot right Adams for whitakay, like think you're upset,

  346. right, Yeah, but we cannot run away, and you and I we

  347. sin. We violate God's standards and commands constantly. Although all of us are

  348. those of us who are in the Lord. Yes we depend on the Holy

  349. Spirit. Yes we are more than overcomers, Amen, but we all know

  350. that we all sin. So it is important because it's important to understand this,

  351. because we need to understand that our God is infinite in all his attributes,

  352. and that means he's infinitely holy. He is holy to the end degree.

  353. In one John one five, we are told that there's no shadow of

  354. turning with God. God does not sin. Therefore, the question is,

  355. how does a holy God become a human when every descendant of Adam inherits a

  356. sinful nature? You and I okay, and be demonstrated by sinning. So

  357. if you have not discovered anything so far, now remember this. How can

  358. a holy God enter this world in human flesh when the sin nature is passed

  359. on from one person to another person? How can a holy God come into

  360. this world and remain infinitely holy? There can only be one way, right

  361. the virgin birth. Amen. Now, let's read first, Peter, and

  362. I'm drawing to a close right now, Chapter two, verses twenty one to

  363. twenty five. Now going back before we read this, going back again to

  364. the story of Mary and Joseph. Mary, also, Mary had to take

  365. her step of obedience even yeah, even as she said, be it unto

  366. me according to your word, Lord, she for she can already foresee all

  367. the different troubles and the challenges that she will be in. Same with Joseph,

  368. as well when Joseph, and in the end Joseph married Mary, right,

  369. he did not deny the fact that she was pregnant. No, that

  370. means she was still pregnant before the wedding. Okay, So whether it was

  371. a disgrace to the family, whether or not at that time, whether the

  372. parents believed them or not, we do not know. But that was what

  373. they had to go through, all right. Yeah, So first Peter,

  374. chapter two, verse twenty one to twenty five for today's you were called because

  375. Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that you should follow his

  376. steps. Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in his mouth,

  377. who when he was revold, did not revout in return. When he suffered,

  378. he did not threaten, but committed himself, Him who judges righteously,

  379. who himself bore our sins in his own body. We read earlier on the

  380. tree that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness. Amen,

  381. by whose stripes you were healed, for you were like sheep going astray,

  382. but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your soul. So

  383. Jesus lived here, and he did not sin. Why he was not born

  384. as a sinner, he was a holy God. Amen. So James One

  385. also tells us that nothing is impossible. That sorry, that it is impossible

  386. for God to sin. So isn't it interesting if you have if we if

  387. you and I are the one hanging on the cross for someone else, right,

  388. we will be probably like scolding the person you know you right, yeah,

  389. we'll be saying things that we know you shouldn't say. But not Christ,

  390. all right? Amen? So Christ's sacrifice, so he was the perfect

  391. sacrifice. Why again, it takes a sinless God who came down in human

  392. flesh on the cross to take away our sins. He had to be sinless

  393. in order to die in our place so that our sins can be forgiven.

  394. Amen. He was the perfect sacrifice. And he and the and the beautiful

  395. part is that he didn't need to do that. Jesus did it on his

  396. own accord. He did it willingly, and he could have let every one

  397. of us die and wrot in hell, but he did not a man a

  398. man, Halley Liliah. So the virgin birth is foundational to having our sins

  399. forgiven and for having eternal life, because you and I are all sinners.

  400. I'm a sinner. You are sinner. Jesus to our sins upon himself,

  401. as we have read just not in first Peter. And the only way we

  402. can have eternal life is by recognizing that we are first sinners. Amen.

  403. So that's why in our church when we give a call, if there's any

  404. one of you like, we want to give a call for you to respond

  405. and you give your heart to Jesus. The first step that we all need

  406. to take is to firstly admit that we have sin. Because until the admission

  407. of sin, we won't we don't, we won't come to a point where

  408. we think we need internal life and we need a savior, right. And

  409. the only way again to be safe is to recognize that we are sinners and

  410. that He forgives us and that one and we and to want him to come

  411. into our hearts and lives to change us. In man, let me tell

  412. you a story as I close. Now, there's a story told again and

  413. written by an unknown person. A story told about three men who were climbing

  414. a mountain. Now the context is in those snow mountains. I don't think

  415. we have that kind of experience, but yeah, we can imagine they had

  416. two guides. So three men climbing, one guide at the back and one

  417. guide at the front, and they were all tied together as mountain climbers do

  418. on snow covered mountains. So they were climbing the snow covered mountain, and

  419. the guide in the back slipped. When he slipped, he fell over the

  420. cliff, and since he was tied to everyone else up in the chain,

  421. he yanked the three men who were between him and the first guy. So

  422. four of them were hanging on the rope and only the guide at the top

  423. was hoading on. Now, the guide's eyes picked okay, was jammed into

  424. the ice and which with wood strength he held on while the other four men

  425. climbed up over him to safety. Okay, that's the only way. So

  426. one man holding on so that the other four men can climb the safety.

  427. So the four men was saved because of one man who had slammed his pick

  428. and desperately hung on. Well, in the garden of Eden, the first

  429. Adam slipped and fell, and we were all hooked into him. By our

  430. nature, we became sinners. And when Adam died, we all died.

  431. When he slipped and fell, we all slipped and fell with him. We

  432. were all hanging over the age and hated the word and eternal abbys. And

  433. there was someone else on that road. He was born of a virgin,

  434. a man like you and me, and he dug in. He was born

  435. a perfect baby, He lived a perfect life, He did everything according to

  436. the will of God. He dunk in, and then he died on the

  437. cross and rose on the day. And because he done in, all who

  438. was slipping and hating into abbys because of sin can be be living in Christ

  439. can reach safety and into eternal life. Amen. And we know that that

  440. guide, that first guide is Jesus. Imen. Do you have eternal life?

  441. Church? And I know I'm speaking to some of us today, or

  442. are you confident that you have eternal life? Christmas is not just a season

  443. about yes see, remembering again a baby being born in a manger, but

  444. about a holy God who was born as a sinless human in order to die

  445. on the cross for you and I so that you and I can have our

  446. sins forgiven and spend eternity with God as opposed to an eternity in hell.

  447. So this summarizes the reason why Jesus came to earth and was born as a

  448. human man, a human baby. He had to be sinless in order to

  449. die in our place so that our sins can be forgiven and that we can

  450. be reconciled with God. He came to save you, He came to save

  451. me. At the same time. He didn't just come to save us and

  452. leave us alone. He came to set in motion the destruction of the works

  453. of the devil. Amen, hallelujah. And that is why he came.

  454. And this is what Christmas is all about. Amen about Jesus, about God

  455. himself. God the Son who pre existed, as I said earlier on,

  456. chose to be sent forth. Send forth here also means they had like omitting

  457. and decided that God the Son will come forth in human flesh. That's the

  458. only way, born of a virgin birth, the only way so that he

  459. can save us. And all this was planned from the beginning of time.

  460. God. Oh ready, God the Father had planned it all to save you

  461. and I how can we not accept Jesus' immen hallelujah. So I want to

  462. close with this verse. In Collosions, chapter one, in verse thirteen and

  463. fourteen, he says he has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed

  464. us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love Amen, in whom we

  465. have redemption through His blood the forgiveness of sins. Hallelujah. We hope you've

  466. been blessed by this message. For more information on our church, please visit
