You're listening to a message to go from ex Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your.
-
Tea love for God. We want to love God. That's
-
all I want to say to you. Just love God,
-
and how do we And of course I will talk
-
about how to love God. Love God. We want to
-
love God, simply put. Deuteronomy chapter six, verse four to
-
five says it says here the verse if you want
-
to turn to it, Deuteronomy chapter six and verse four
-
to five. Here, oh Israel, the Lord our God, the
-
Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God
-
with all your heart, with all your soul, and with
-
all your strength. Amen. This is God speaking to us, saying, hey,
-
he here, o Israel. Yes, you were speaking then to
-
the children of Israel. But when we got saved and
-
born again, we become God's children and we get to
-
hear this as well. To love the Lord our God
-
with all of our heart, with all of our soul,
-
with all of our strength.
-
Jesus brings it back again.
-
He quotes it in Mark chapter twelve, verse thirty as
-
well as in Matthew twenty two thirty seven, and Jesus
-
quotes back this scripture and he says and you shall
-
love the Lord our God with all your heart, with
-
all your soul, with all your mind, and with all
-
your strength. This is the first commandment. Amen. Hallelujah. This
-
is a verse we we all you know, know of
-
and hear of. Some of us memorize it. Sometimes it's
-
hard to say we churned first heart or soul or strength.
-
Okay, but this is.
-
The call for us here, oh ex partners, Love the
-
Lord your God. Sandra, love the Lord your God. Hey, Terrence,
-
love the Lord your God with all of your heart,
-
with all of your soul, with all of your mind,
-
with all of your strength. I just want to say
-
to us, love the Lord. Amen. Okay. Now, loving the
-
Lord is simply I'm not and I'm only gonna talk
-
about love God because I won't tell you how much
-
God loves you. Because you know how much God loves you.
-
The fact that you're here, you're blessed. Hey, His goodness
-
follows after you every day of your lives. He loved
-
us so much that he himself gave his life for us.
-
Jesus is God's Son, and Jesus, you know, took our
-
place at the cross to pay the debt that we
-
could never have paid, and you and I will never
-
know how much it costs Jesus to be on the
-
cross and to take the shame, to take our pain,
-
to take our sin. And so God already loves us,
-
and the moment you come into him, you believe him,
-
you trust him. He just clothes you with his robe
-
of righteousness, and he loves you and gives you a
-
hope and a future and not you know, living eternity
-
now and not later, but even now. Amen.
-
So when we say.
-
Love God, and the word love from the Greek is everybody.
-
I got Pey, I go pey right, And no time
-
to study so much, but just to say God, God
-
pays you. God loves the world that.
-
He gave his only son.
-
The love that God loves us with is our gape,
-
which is the God kind of love unconditional takes you
-
as you takes me as I am. Yaga pays us.
-
And you know I cannot got Pey Ellie and take
-
her as she is unconditional lover. But I can also
-
filayo her as in I love her as a friend.
-
But to love God as a friend pi lao. Well
-
that's what Peter said when when Jesus said hey, Peter,
-
you know you love me. And Peter was so broken
-
because he had fled when deny Jesus, and all he
-
could come at was with I just PRAYD love you.
-
I just PRAYD love you.
-
Phi are you?
-
And you know asked him three times.
-
There was a healing happening, the restoration, and he couldn't
-
even say, God, I love you, agapey you, I reverence you,
-
I honor you. He couldn't because he was so saddened
-
that he had failed God. Right, but Jesus restored him.
-
And so you and I can have different levels of love.
-
But when we love God, it is our gapey to God,
-
meaning we reverence him, we honor him, We love him
-
with all of our hearts, we give our lives to him,
-
and we just you know, look to him. And he's
-
also like our father God, like a father on earth.
-
He's also father God, but he's the Father in heaven,
-
and we reverence we love him in that way. But
-
he doesn't want to be a God that's so far.
-
He wants to be a God that's near. And that's
-
why Jesus came to bring God nearer to us. So
-
this morning, when I speak about love God. We want
-
to grow in our agape for the Lord to continue
-
to pursue our love for the Lord. Amen.
-
And so.
-
When you know there's a verse, there's a verse in
-
First John. I think it's First John four nineteen, First
-
John four nineteen.
-
If you turn to your bibles, first John.
-
Four nineteen, that says we love him first because he
-
first loved us.
-
Amen, We loved.
-
Him first, because he first loved us. I didn't know
-
Jesus loved me.
-
I did not come from a Christian family.
-
I came from a Buddhist background, and then you know,
-
never really knew much except that that we I would
-
go and stay with my grandaunt who would take me
-
to the church, the Catholic church, and then that that
-
was my exposure. But I didn't know that Jesus loves me.
-
And he says here that we love him because he
-
first loved us.
-
Amen. Hey, when any of you.
-
Single girls or guys know somebody likes you? Baby, are
-
a fun you work?
-
Yeah?
-
Oh you're it works going everywhere. Oh, somebody likes me.
-
Don't look like you've never fallen in love before. Don't
-
give me the look like what are you talking about?
-
Where Holy really holy people fall in love. We first
-
love God because he got first Lovedlesess who were able
-
to respond anyone here knows you fall in love or
-
when you meet someone, and when someone loves you, you
-
go like, whoa you like me? Oh?
-
And we can't.
-
We could be so and go like yeah, like you do,
-
even though you don't know that person. All right, you
-
know when we're young and old as we've fall in
-
the same trip without asking the Lord whether this is
-
the person or not, just go for it. Yeah, baby,
-
come on, all right, But God, we love him because
-
he first loved us. You're just responding back to someone
-
who loves you, who gives his life for you, who knows.
-
You by name.
-
By the way, you may call yourself apple, Sunshine, Cherry,
-
by God really knows your name? Is what soon afast
-
love Kim saying okay, because he knows who you are.
-
Our names we like to change and have all kinds
-
of names. But who named Mandarin service? Just call me mailing?
-
Just now? I'm like, so.
-
Money, what young mailing?
-
I'm like because nobody calls me trying to all right,
-
So I have more Chinese name than my husband has.
-
He's not Chinese. Okay, all right.
-
Ah.
-
So God knows us, he loves us, and we are
-
able to love him because he first loved us. I
-
want all of us, if you are believing Christ, he
-
first loved you. There for you, and I respond to him.
-
We respond to love. Sammy responded to love, and that's
-
how he restored I responded, or God touched my life
-
and I responded, and my life turned around from what
-
I would have been.
-
Lost, aimless.
-
Cannot do anything to someone who found a voice, found
-
the confidence. That's what Jesus does when he comes into
-
your life. He first loves you, and you respond, and
-
just a little bit of love can transform your life,
-
just like Sammy. I wish we could bring you a
-
photo of Sammy and show you how he was before
-
and after. Wow. Big change, big change. Yeah. And so
-
this is how we love him. We love God because
-
he first loved us. Secondly, First John for sixteen says,
-
So how do you love God? He say? Well, for
-
sixteen says, if you turn to First John for sixteen,
-
look at your bibles, he says, and we have known
-
and believed the love that God has for us. We
-
have known and believed the love that God has for
-
us how, because God is love, and he who abides
-
in love abides in God and God in him. So
-
we love God because God's love is living in us.
-
When we receive Christ, his love abides in us, and
-
we abide in him. Hey, guys, God never moves if
-
we who's the one who moves his earth? So are
-
you abiding? Are you staying? Because He's abiding in us
-
and that's why we can love him. Because He's loved
-
abides in us days us. He never moves, He doesn't, Okay,
-
So that's why we're saying we love God. Come on,
-
fellow believers, brother sisters, let us love God and continue
-
to love Him with all of our heart's minds, our soul,
-
and our strength. Amen. We can love a lot of things,
-
but I want to encourage us to love God, especially
-
those who come and know Him and worship Him. We
-
can weak out. We do so many things. Most importantly,
-
do we love God? And how do we love him?
-
Amen?
-
So three thoughts for us? Before that, I wanted to
-
say that love Loving God is a decision. Loving God
-
is a decision. We choose to love God next night,
-
and not by how we feel. There are days you
-
feel like I tabla you, I feel like he let
-
me down? Oh why? This is why that? But we
-
have to choose a decision to say, I choose to
-
love God regardless what has happened. And I've gone through
-
that own cycle of ups and downs, of failed exams
-
or a relationship that didn't work out, or this didn't
-
go someone you know really troubled you, whatever, But no
-
matter what happens, that is your anchor. That is, I
-
choose to love God and not how I feel, or
-
who let me down, or who took my dog or whatever,
-
who stole my boyfriend. I don't move because of that.
-
I look at the Christ that hasn't moved, and I
-
love him regardless how I feel.
-
Do I get an amen?
-
Oh? Church, you are too quiet.
-
And on these here, come on, hold this.
-
I'm golling it. At least gonna slap me, all right,
-
the parent's gonna no.
-
Come on, the church.
-
You cannot receive God's word if you sit there and
-
keep quiet. You should be celebrating God's word. Come on, Nicle,
-
celebrate God's word. Amen? All right? When I know you're name,
-
it's dangerous, dangerous, amen. But God knows your name, and
-
I don't know everybody's name, but you are special to him.
-
He loves you. Amen. So how do we love God? Amen?
-
Because I say, we choose to love God right, not
-
about how we feel, but we choose to love you.
-
I pray that we will be like what Sammis wrote
-
as the deer pans for the water some forty two,
-
verse one and two, As the deer pans for the
-
water so much soul longs after him?
-
Do we long after God?
-
Do?
-
I ask myself? So as I speak, I'm.
-
Speaking to myself. I ask myself, do I long after God? There?
-
Do I actually long to sit in His presence? And
-
I many times I do? I really just sit and
-
just sit. And other times I'm just adhd cannot sit still? Ayah,
-
that's my problem, right, I gotta move around and then
-
cannot sit down and listen for a while. But can
-
I can do? I thirst for God's presence? Do I
-
thirst and hunger for His presence, his person? Just being
-
with the Lord his goodness? Am I first thing after
-
the Lord? Can you and I say that? Or are
-
we thirsting for other things to fill the void? The
-
void that's in our lives? Hey? Man, you think about
-
a void in your life. You want a better job.
-
I'm sorry you cannot have a better husband because you're
-
married already, or better wife you're already married. Love them
-
and work through the differences. You know, we want this
-
and want that, but the one person that could actually
-
fill that void is the Lord himself. But we are
-
so FIDGETI we have to run here, we have to
-
run there, We have to do this. We have to
-
help ourselves. Some of us even give birth to ishmaels
-
and and have big regrets. But yet God says, don't
-
live with regrets. What is done is forgiven. Startup brash right. So, hey,
-
we want to be able to love God. I encourage
-
us that you might be thinking past of why you're.
-
Asking me to love God? Aren't I Christian and love God?
-
Yes? But what's the dosage to give a little bit
-
like and then expect a lot? A relationship? A relationship.
-
We all want relationship. Everybody's talking about relationship. But no
-
relationship happens without the connection. No relationship happens without the Hello,
-
is it me? You're looking for whatever? All right? You
-
need to have that connection, and so we've got It's
-
the same thing. It's parallel in the natural human, human, natural,
-
and it's parallel in the spiritual. What is spiritual, It's
-
parallel with the natural. Natural, also parallel with the spiritual.
-
We need to make the action, we need to have
-
that relationship. So how do we love God? Number one?
-
Spend time with him? Not like God is some like,
-
please spend time with me. No, he's not the you know, like,
-
please spend time with me, please please joh't soon please, No,
-
he's not like he's lacking. But he loves your face.
-
I might not like your face, but he loves your face.
-
Thank God that he loves you. Might not like my face,
-
but I know the one person I can run to
-
and hide and cry is Jesus.
-
So spending time with him is how you love.
-
God? Natural or all? Right? How many wives are in
-
the house? Come on? How many unteasy house? Come on?
-
Every day?
-
They'll ask the.
-
Husband, do you love me? Tell me?
-
Tell me how much you love me?
-
My husband say, I told you twenty nine years ago.
-
Now I forgot it.
-
No, no, no, to day to day baby, I love you,
-
thank you, and she's happy. Right. The spending time, the
-
telling you how much you love that person brings an assurance,
-
an affirmation. I know it's difficult for any husband every
-
day tell them wife, yes, baby, I love you, and
-
you keep telling someone to got you go blah. I
-
will say to go and thank you. I know, go
-
go to your right. But but but we want to
-
hear that, and that's natural to be loved. Okay, to
-
spend time at least spend time, spend time talking, spend
-
time sharing your day. But that's the case, like the
-
women will come home and tell the whole story and
-
then when I aspect doesn't, so how was your day? Okay?
-
And okay, more okay, ah, So men have normal words
-
at the end of the day. Women can still carry on.
-
She is the energetic bunny. Bunny, the bunny, the energetic buddy, energy,
-
energized buddy. But the husband say, I finish it on.
-
My word's gone ready. So so women be assured your
-
husband loves you. I hope he'll do other things to
-
show you that he loves you. Right, husband's okay okay,
-
Dan said, yes, he'd better be doing something for elder
-
mable Okay, all right, So spending time and we know
-
that any relationship, Hey, boyfriend, girlfriend, want to spend time
-
because that's how you feel.
-
I remember calling my boyfriend.
-
You know who my boyfriend is? Yeah? Yeah, that time,
-
no handphone, the dial up phone, didn't call, No I call.
-
I'm looking back now I feel I'm this desperate woman
-
looking for husband? Are you? I don't want to call
-
because he never calls me, and how can Right until
-
today he never calls me and we're married for.
-
Twenty nine years.
-
Recall because once you talk, my finished work? Right?
-
So nine thirty then he's part picks out the phone.
-
Uncle, Yes, kenathen sleeping nine thirty, nine thirty pm, he's sleeping.
-
How do you get to know y?
-
Not like I can go to day thing.
-
I'm working, But you want to spend time today? You
-
go a handphone? Handphone relationship a bit hardler. You're just texting? Right?
-
Can I malwak and parassa aunts? Right? But you want
-
to meet? So so I have to wait another day
-
and try and call mister Chain. Yes, but mister Chain
-
likes to meet more than talk on the phone. That
-
habit has not changed. You thought he has a phone,
-
don't be fooled. It is not a phone. It's a camera.
-
And mind you, he did not buy it.
-
The church elders gave him a phone to say, we
-
want to contact you. So he said, okay, you contact Mila.
-
Uh my, meanwhile, I take photo then, so rajin to
-
update the IgA. Why because it's a camera. Yeah, he's
-
not talking to me. So building relationships, spend time.
-
Spend time with the Lord.
-
How talk to him? Talk to him like how you
-
and I would talk? Really, hold that that one I
-
do not to see it? Gave you by thank you? Yeah?
-
I love it? No, I love it. Yeah. We talked
-
to him like how we would talk to our friends.
-
But sometimes we feel like this is God. It's so
-
difficult to talk. But actually Father God wants us to
-
just talk because he wants to talk. However, when we talk,
-
we talk so much he couldn't bring a word in. Yeah,
-
we're talking, talk and talk. So like that I met someone,
-
I said, so, how you met her?
-
And then did you talk?
-
I tried, but the lady didn't let me in, so
-
I couldn't talk. Say I love my Okay, so we
-
must talk and also listen, right, A conversation is about
-
listening and speaking. So would you take some time with
-
the Lord by talking to him, telling him how you
-
feel or what you're going through the other way, of
-
course I have to say. You read this where he
-
reveals himself. We want to know more about who God is.
-
Read here and learn about him how he thinks. Did
-
you know he whistles? Yeah?
-
Sometimes we didn't know he was.
-
So do you know that he can laugh? He laughs?
-
You know he wins? Okay? Find out if he wins?
-
All right, ask him for guidance, tell him your preferences,
-
and let him tell you whether it's okay. All right,
-
But if you talk to men and not to God,
-
the man cannot give you an eternal answer. But in
-
the Lord, when you give enough time and you keep,
-
when you keep consistently meeting up with him, then you
-
get You get to hear and get recognized. The voice
-
I couldn't recognize was Kenneth's voice because he and his
-
father sound the same. Mike Burnie Chin sounded the same,
-
like an a chin obviously, because there's a son. So
-
every time I call him, thinking is that uncle or
-
is it can uncle? No, Kenneth Alama, So it happen
-
they woth sound they both sound alike. Ah and and
-
and so the more I call, or the more we meet,
-
and so I get used to the voice. And so
-
we talk, and honestly, Church, I might be saying this
-
to you and it's such a simple thing, but I
-
think we need it. I think we need to spend
-
time with God. I'm not saying give up everything. I'm
-
just saying, you need to spend a good time with
-
the Lord. Whatever time you choose, spend it with him
-
just a little bit. Spend it with the Lord. Go
-
to your room, go to somewhere, go to the park,
-
garden or whatever, and just shut out for a while,
-
but be with the Lord, talking to him, reading his word,
-
asking him for guidance, maybe surrendering something that has been
-
bothering you, and let God's peace wash over you, let
-
God's peace direct your path. The only way I find
-
many times when I'm trouble is to just shut out
-
the voices and be still and just be with the Lord,
-
to thirst after him like the deer pans for water.
-
And I just have to do that, and I realize
-
I just need it sometimes when I'm a bit lost,
-
I'm a bit messed up, and you know, days get
-
so busy, I just feel like I just need time out.
-
Just nobody talk to me, please, nobody talk to me.
-
And I just got to go away and be in
-
a room quiet and just listen to the Lord. Or
-
I open the word of God and I read it
-
so that God's word can read me as I read
-
the word and speak to my circumstances. And many times
-
God has done that for me. I'm in a learning
-
journey as well. I can't say I'm there yet, but
-
I know it really is really beautiful when we get
-
to spend time with God and let his word restore us.
-
Number One, spending time with him, Amen, I mean, there's
-
no better person to spend it with. First God, Loud,
-
after that, whoever else you like. All Right, spend time
-
with God. Next one, Obey his word and be a
-
doer of his word. Amen, obey his word and be
-
a doer of his word. It's hard sometimes how you obey. Okay,
-
When you read God's word, he will speak to you.
-
And many times some of the areas of our lives.
-
And I find a lot of people suffer and struggle
-
with forgiveness.
-
They cannot forgive. But the word of God tells us,
-
so when you read it, you need to act on it.
-
If the Lord says give to something, give to somebody,
-
you read it, you gotta act on it. If the
-
Lord says go and you act on it, you go go.
-
Is it to visit someone at the hospital. Is it
-
make a trip mission trip? Is it to go and
-
encourage your pastor? Nobody here wants to encouraged pasta. Okay,
-
come all right, encourage my pastor? Why all right? So
-
when you obey God's word and you do it, that's
-
where that's how.
-
You are loving God. You're obeying love God, right you?
-
I mean you just God is always going to be
-
stable there. He never walks out on us. He will hear,
-
he will speak. We just need to do that word, amen.
-
I don't know how to explain moms and dads in
-
the house. Moms and dads. You know your kids sometimes
-
stare your hair out. Okay, kids, your parents stare your
-
hair out? All right, never mind, but we don't walk out.
-
There's still my kid, and I look at you every day.
-
But you're my child and I still love you, and
-
we don't walk out. Generally, the general rule. So God
-
won't even have a general rule. He is there, He
-
never changes, He has no exceptions. Only for human beings
-
there will be exceptions, but for God, it's stable.
-
You read his word.
-
He speaks to you. Work on it. Is it about forgiveness?
-
Is it about loving somebody? Is it about being patient
-
with somebody? Is it about being kind to somebody? Even
-
God saying, come on, you know my joy is in you.
-
Stop going looking so down. The joy of the Lord
-
is your strength. You act on it and say, okay, Lord,
-
the joy of the Lord, and stop praising you the
-
obedience and act on it. Man, I've not seen no
-
results when we've obeyed God and do his word.
-
I've only seen good results.
-
You know.
-
When you love God, it results in you loving people.
-
That's what the obedience is because you obey his word.
-
At the end, it has something to do with somebody
-
and you love God and end up loving people. Want
-
I just want to encourage you in one spot of
-
scripture Matthew chapter twenty five, the whole portion. Do you
-
remember the story about Matthew twenty five? Remember the king
-
said to the righteous, come and inherit the kingdom, and
-
the righteous and the rights are sitting there listening. Yes,
-
come in inherit kingdom. Because every time someone was hungry,
-
you fed that person. When that person was naked, you
-
cloth when that person was in prison, You visited him.
-
When that person was sick. You went to care for
-
that person. And this righteous said Matthew twenty five says,
-
since when did I see you, Lord? When did I
-
see you naked? When did I see you hungry? When
-
did I see you in need of cloth? And the
-
Lord said, when you've done it to the least of them,
-
you have done it to me.
-
I'll encourage us.
-
Church. Sometimes we represent you as a whole church. We've
-
done stuff for the refugees, the families, the individuals. They're
-
the least sometimes because they cannot help themselves, and so
-
we take the funds that we have from your giving
-
and we bless them. Maybe one day you will meet
-
somebody in heaven will say thank you so much for
-
giving to the Lord, because we gave to the least.
-
You didn't even know that you gave that person an
-
opportunity to have an education. You didn't know your prayer
-
when further than when you started. All Jesus is saying you,
-
when you did it to that person, you didn't even know.
-
But you did it unto me everything.
-
Every time we do something unto the Lord, you did
-
it out of Sometimes obedience, you hurt the word and
-
you just do it. Other times out of just that
-
the fruit of the spirit, kindness, and you do it.
-
Sometimes you don't know why you're doing it, but you
-
do it. Why, you know, some of you nobody say
-
thank you to you. We've gotta stop living for thank
-
yous from people. Come on ten thirty, anybody in the house.
-
Oh man, when you come to church, you should be happy. Jason,
-
give me a smile. Jason soon, Yeah, missus soon or
-
so yeah? All right? Yeah.
-
You know, God just says to us, the least you've
-
done it.
-
So the action that you've done, you obey, you do it,
-
a result will come love God, love people. That's the obedience.
-
I don't know what we are going through, but I know,
-
having served so long that many believers, many good Christians,
-
suffer with unforgiveness. We cannot forgive, we cannot forgive. We
-
cannot forgive our father, we cannot forgive our dog, we
-
cannot forgive our friend, we cannot forgive our boss because
-
they hurt me. And it's very real, it's very very real.
-
But yet every time the Bible teaches us, tells us,
-
as I forgive, you, forgive this person, it's Okay, you
-
forgive us. God will take you the next step and
-
he will open other doors for you. You don't have
-
to be BFF with that person forever. Best friends forever. Yes,
-
that's what BFF means. Be best friends for ever. No no, no,
-
just be friend. Forgive. You need space, you need to grow,
-
you need to deal with differentlys. But as God speaks,
-
you obey. That's how you love God. That's how we
-
love God. When God tells us, we do it, we
-
love him. When I do something, I because I love God.
-
That's why I do it. Why do I go out
-
for missions? Because I love God? And I do it
-
because I hurt the heart that he says there's a
-
group of people who need to be encouraged, and we go. Amen.
-
Why do we do so many things that our church
-
gets opportunity to do, and though don't feel like it's
-
too much, because there will be a day when there's
-
nothing else to do, then we can't do it anymore.
-
Do what we can well, while there's day, do what
-
we can to obey Him, to love him so that
-
others may see the love of God through your life. Amen.
-
So it's so true. I just I could only see
-
God's love through God and Doris. I couldn't. I told Doris, Doris,
-
I do not have the grace to take care of
-
a Okay, you child, I don't know how. I don't
-
even have the ability, but you do. I don't know how.
-
I just don't know. But she did it out of love.
-
Sometimes there's some things you would just do it without
-
nobody's gonna thank you, nobody's gonna remember your name. Sometimes
-
we help people we don't even remember our names. They
-
don't know who we are, but we just do it.
-
When God says, give give that amount, give that table,
-
give that back, give that bud you, or give yourself whatever,
-
and you just give because you heard the Lord say
-
that to you. When whenever it involves nothing about yourself
-
and it goes to somebody else, that's a good thing.
-
But when every time you're fighting for yourself, that may
-
not always be a good thing, because then we're just
-
thinking about ourselves. The Lord always leads us like himself.
-
He first gave, he first loved, and we learned giving
-
from the Lord. We love God as he loves us. Amen.
-
Thirdly, how do we love God?
-
The third point is be thankful and serve him. My judge,
-
be thankful and love God. I think complaining is not
-
loving God. Complaining he's telling God about another brother or
-
sister who was made the image of God. How useless
-
that person is. I tell you what the arena complainer
-
you're saying. I'm thankful for it. Brother, I'm thankful. And
-
even though I'm upset because you didn't count all the sticks,
-
it's okay. Don't you don't complain, be thankful for what
-
you see, and serve the lot because if you are not,
-
if you you you don't have to put your energy
-
somewhere to serve, then you will continue to be very
-
unhappy about everything because there's no energy to do something,
-
because then your mind will no longer be thinking about that.
-
I'm unhappy. I'm happy. Then you think, oh I got
-
to you know, go and teach English to refuge kids.
-
Oh I'm going to clean up the.
-
Church today, yole the church. Yes, we do that and
-
got the communing. We have to clean the church, not
-
the judge. When we clean, so the homes will take
-
turns to clean the church. Or today I've gotta, you know,
-
go and play guitar for the worship band. Today, I've
-
gotta go for Taylor's apple, or I'm gonna visit someone
-
in the hospital. I'm gonna go, you know, do something tonight.
-
Maybe there's that what meat autumn? Somebody happening. Ok but
-
if you speak anto, you can come. La ya la
-
yah layah. Got moon cake to eat? Okay, all right,
-
so be thankful. How do you love God? And she
-
God does not like complaining. He really despises. Read it
-
in the Book of Exodus. I don't know if I've
-
preached that word. Do you hear? But I've done in
-
other services, got that bolt to hunt people complaining. He
-
will listen. He will listen. Fair enough, you are being
-
you know, mistreated. He will here and you will deliver.
-
But after he used delivers and then everything, and you
-
still complain. I asked for meat, God give you meat,
-
and you're like, but I did not ask for quail.
-
I want the key. Then there's God ungrateful?
-
Ready? Right?
-
Your parent will know? Right the charldis I want handphone?
-
What if I is a hendphone and the child is dead?
-
I give you the headphone. No, I didn't want to
-
stand song. I wanted in apple. Maybe we were still like, hello,
-
that's a phone smack him, right, am, I should we
-
smack him? Not sure?
-
Okay?
-
All right, so we asked a younger person to ask
-
you we smacked the person. Okay, No, be thankful and
-
serve the Lord. Don't complain because we will spew negativity
-
and that will hurt us more. It will not help
-
the environment that we're in. Amen. Love God, love him more.
-
It's a privilege to love the Lord. I ask yourself,
-
answer seriously. One day we're all going to have to
-
meet Jesus. I'm just preparing you and me for that.
-
If you love the Lord, you will do what he's
-
asking you to do. If you are not sure, if
-
you love the Lord, now it's a good day today
-
to say, Lord, have I really been loving you? Or
-
have I been loving me? Because I just want you
-
to do what I see. Then that's not loving God,
-
that's loving me. We all get there. We all get there.
-
Nobody's perfect. We're learning. Amen. So three points again, spend
-
three points spending time with the Lord, talking with him,
-
reading his word, praying like, bringing needs to him, asking
-
him for direction, you know, listening to the Lord as
-
you'll be still and know that he's God, receiving God's
-
word divine word for you for every different circumstance. That's
-
one way. Obey his word and be a doer of
-
that word. Don't just listen and go away, but listen, obey,
-
and do it. Then it will bear fruit.
-
And thirdly, be.
-
Thankful and serve the Lord. Guys, don't stop serving the
-
law wherever you are served the Lord. And then serving
-
the Lord doesn't only mean in these four walls. But
-
whenever the Lord asks you to do something you know,
-
serve him. Do it for the Lord, don't do it
-
for anybody else. Serve the Lord. But the Lord does
-
give you the church in which you can start to serve.
-
That's how he works. Don't hate the church. Church is
-
a good place. Jesus walked to the Synegogue. First thing
-
he comes into any town. He loves the church. He
-
started the church, not me. He love the church and
-
love God to work through you and be a blessing.
-
Remember love God first, and then love your neighbor. But
-
we cannot love our neighbor if we didn't know God's
-
love and how much he loves us, so that we
-
can outflow his love to our neighbor. That's the second commandment. Now,
-
question for you. What could hinder you do not love God?
-
Easy light, I think you're no answer.
-
What could hinder you by?
-
I don't have postcod to give you anyway?
-
What could hinder you do not love God?
-
What would be? What? I came out with three thoughts?
-
First John two fifteen. First John two fifteen Love for
-
the world? Wow, it says John to fifteen. Do not
-
love the world or the things in the world. If
-
anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is
-
not in him. Amen. Okay again, if you have your Bibles,
-
turn to the scripture verse fifteen, chapter two of First John.
-
Do not love the world all the things in the world.
-
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father
-
is not in him. Now, the world is a good world.
-
It's a good God created the world. But to love
-
the things of this world, to love the world? I
-
think it was the James Bond movid that says the
-
world is not enough? Was it oldies? Sorry, more mature
-
people here? That was born after? Okay, all right, before
-
nineteen ninety all right, do not love the world but
-
to love God. Do not love the world and the
-
things of the world. Then we get so distracted by
-
what the world dictates. Then we forgot God's love in
-
us already because we're just chasing after what it is
-
in the ways of the world. And many of us
-
have grown up in the ways of this world before
-
we knew Christ. But once we know Christ, we begin
-
to learn, Oh, there's a better way to do something,
-
There's a better way to forgive somebody. It's a bad
-
you know, how do I bridge the gap? So God
-
is saying, if the love for this world is in us,
-
then the love for the Father is not in us.
-
So we have to watch our heart. What are we loving?
-
All right?
-
Secondly, Matthew six twenty four says, if there's two masters,
-
we cannot serve two masters.
-
You can't.
-
No in nothing can you do that? You have to
-
be split right, So in Mark six twenty four, Mark
-
six twenty four says, no one can serve two masters.
-
Either you'll hate one and love the other, or you'll
-
be loyal to the one and then despise the other,
-
And you can't serve God and Mammon, So who is
-
your master? Church? Who is our master? We have to
-
honestly answer ourselves. Is sometimes I have to ask myself
-
when I had a pet dog, my Golden retriever? Where
-
do she was my master? Oh? God? Because I wake
-
up early in the morning.
-
What I do? Go and look for my.
-
Doggy first to make sure she's okay? And then I
-
have one pastor. One pastor said to me, when you
-
have a pet, dot, God will become second. No, la
-
are you but true? Of course I wake up the
-
morning I didn't see morning.
-
She's like, was it good morning?
-
Spring? Yeah? You know you want you spend on time
-
on her, make sure everything's okay. Then go and do
-
quiet time. Runther than do quiet time for just saying
-
this is yoke? All right, all right? I mean I
-
really will give my attention to my dog for sticket.
-
It's so cute, right, the dog, Golden Retriever, beautiful dog.
-
So I can't sup the masters?
-
Who's my master?
-
At the end? How do I prioritize more priority? Not
-
that money is bad or evil, it's our priority. What
-
are we what are we making as our master? What
-
makes us take the Lord or Mammon or the world?
-
The love for the things of this world? These are
-
things that can hinder us from loving God fullheartedly. Thirdly,
-
our first love. If we lose our first love is
-
God our first Love's very fine line.
-
Right, If my husband asked me you love me?
-
Yes, am I number one? No, Jesus is my number one,
-
he has to be okay with that, right, But who
-
is my first love? My ministry can be my first love.
-
I'm involving ministry, I mean full time ministry. Ministry can
-
even take that attention away from actually me spending time
-
with God. And I'll say, no, no, I got to
-
go and minister to repers. No, no, no, I gotta do. This
-
is ministry. Then I put the concern and love for
-
God second, without knowing because perhaps I defined myself by
-
what I do, but actually my definition comes from the
-
very image of God who made me. So I've got
-
to go back to the maker, my creator, and walk
-
with Jesus first before I do the work that I do. Amen,
-
the loss of our first love Revelations two and verse four.
-
You know the apostle John spoke these words from the Lord. Actually,
-
the Lord spoke to the church in Ephesus and reminded
-
the church that you do not lose your first love.
-
The church in Ephesus lost their first love for the Lord.
-
I yeah, Amen, I may have got the wrong verse step.
-
But Ephesus, oh, I'm not looking at revelations all right,
-
Revelations two for it says, nevertheless, I have this against you,
-
that you have left your first love. They did everything,
-
they were busy, they were serving, they were doing all
-
things they despise evil, but their first love the end.
-
Were they coming to spend time with God? Were they
-
putting in first in their private lives when nobody sees?
-
Was He first in their lives? Or was something else
-
taking that place?
-
Amen?
-
And that is a good reminder to check ourselves. Firstly,
-
is the love for this world greater than the love
-
of God. We are living in planet Earth life. We
-
have the world, God love, soul, love the world, God
-
agape the world. The world is not bad, but the
-
things of this world what represents the world the systems,
-
And we are so used to following the systems that
-
we're not aware that this is only partial. The real
-
things of God matter more, and we need to be
-
able to discern and so partly of that. That's why
-
we gather as a fellowship of believers to learn what
-
is important and what isn't to be aware, Yes we can,
-
we can. We are in the world system the financial
-
world system. But we got to be aware when the
-
time will come, we can't just go with the system.
-
We know what God's worth is saying right.
-
So firstly check our hearts on that number two.
-
Who is our master? Is it Jesus or my job
-
or memon or the things that represent money? Are we
-
chasing after money? And I know a lot of well
-
meaning people who say no, I need to work wherever heart.
-
And not only do you lose sight of God, you
-
lose sight of your family. You lose of spending time
-
with your children, or you lose of spending time with
-
Mom and Dad, your own parents, because we just chasing
-
after something else. Is it fame? Is it whatever that is?
-
You can't have two masters. You must decide who is
-
your master. If we are to love God, then he
-
has to be the master. Jesus is our master, Amen,
-
and thirdly, God our hearts.
-
From losing our first love, anyone will know that.
-
Anyone will know that if my husband forgets me, I
-
will be very upset. If he celebrates another one of
-
my friend's birthday or our somebody and he forgets mine,
-
I think I'm not his first love anymore, not his
-
first love, but you know, the one that he loves
-
because your attention is somewhere else. Again, I say, all
-
truth is parallel between the spiritual and a natural, natural
-
and the spiritual. It happens, it's parallel. So we have
-
to be aware. Have we lost our first love? Do
-
we drag our feet for the things of God? Like church,
-
like prayer, like homes, like Bible reading, like visiting someone
-
who's not well our home meet, like doing the good
-
works that He asks us to do. Are we dragging
-
our feet to even wake up? Or maybe we're more
-
happier to say, oh, there's a picnic and we're going
-
hiking and picnic.
-
That that is our love.
-
I mean, it's natural and I got to watch that.
-
I even have to watch it. I'm so excitedly we're
-
gonna do this. I'm so excited about a mission trip.
-
But not the God who gave me the opportunity to
-
go for the mission trip, the God who gave me
-
the friends that I could go hiking with. But I
-
would still making my first attention and priority. Where's my
-
first love? My first love? There was a song along
-
that I watch, a Christian song.
-
You know first love? Where my heart?
-
What does my heart long for Does my heart long
-
for the Lord or does it long for something else?
-
What is your heart pining for? These are? These are
-
things that you know inmbascination with pangelny basic Bisic KHANHATI.
-
What stirs in your heart? What is it that's speaking
-
to you in your heart? Only you know? But I'm
-
only bringing this across because we are here to build
-
the church, to encourage the saints to get ready for
-
the coming of the Lord, and to finish the work
-
that God has started to win the loss. We're only
-
doing church planting only because God told us to go
-
to that place and do that country or whatever. Not
-
doing because we want to be famous. We're not famous
-
or nothing else better to do. What's God saying to
-
your heart as the individual? What's God saying to you
-
saying to us as a church? And I'm scared, I'm
-
I'm When I say scared, I'm concerned. Why do I
-
come up with the speaking to the church about reading
-
the Bible Because there is a drop, there is a
-
dis engagement with reading the Word of God, because if
-
people read the word of God, we would live how
-
God wants us to live. Instead, we are facing a
-
lot more challenges when we could have found our answers
-
through the Lord's ministry. So I am speaking to us
-
not because I'm better, I myself am learning and seeing
-
how God wants to work in our lives. And so
-
I ask you, implore you church, love God. If you
-
if you never got a chance to love Jesus, I
-
invite you to come and walk with Him, let Him
-
come into your life and do amazing restoration in your life.
-
Amazing you know, stirring of your heart to just cause
-
you to wow. Wake up every day. I wake up
-
every day with the yay, all right, I'm tired. I'm
-
literally I've got jet leg I'm tired. But I do
-
wake up every day. Yay. There's laundry to do, right,
-
I mean, but there's this expectation that tomorrow is something else.
-
But today I must do what I have to do today.
-
So I live my life twenty four hours full one
-
full one sleep, sleep full, eat, eat ful, do, do
-
work full, love, fool, forgive fool. When you have struggles,
-
sit at the feet of the Lord and let him
-
bring peace into that struggle. Things may not go our way.
-
And I want to say this to us, believe us
-
be loved of the Lord.
-
If we want to truly love.
-
God, Okay, hear me out, don't throw stones at me.
-
If we want to truly love God and trust him,
-
listen to the voice, my voice. We must stop insisting
-
that God explains himself to us until we are satisfied.
-
In our secret heart.
-
That's what we want. You tell me, Jesus, why there
-
is femine in the lend you No, I cannot believe you.
-
You tell me, Jesus, why why marriage to this? Come back?
-
Some we were saying dead.
-
If you don't answer me, I cannot believe.
-
You and I cannot trust you.
-
That's what we're saying. You tell me first, Jesus, why
-
I'm in this lend I want to migrate Love, tell
-
me firs before I will trust you. Believe us and
-
beloved of the Lord. If we truly want to love God,
-
if you truly want to trust Him, then we must
-
abandon this. Prove yourself to me. Because I realized as
-
I read this.
-
Statement, it's true.
-
That's what we're saying to God. Tell me before, I
-
trust you. And we demanded of God unknowingly at the back,
-
and that's why we get stuck and not growing, tell
-
me first, show me the money of us that I'll go.
-
But God doesn't work that way.
-
We trust him, we trust it.
-
If he said this is the way to go, we go.
-
If he said, forgive your mom, who has done this
-
to you, you don't say no, you prove it to
-
me first. Now why I should forgive her? You do
-
know what you're talking about. God's saying, would you trust me?
-
We must come to that place of abandonment, abandon ourselves
-
to love God for who he is? Can you imagine
-
I would say to the Lord and you would say,
-
can you love me for who I am? Right? I
-
see all these young lovers you know, Oh yo, he
-
loves me for who I am. He accepts me. How
-
about accepting God for who he is? Because he's God.
-
He's not your friend like from the Bronx. No, he's
-
gone and he chose to be your friend. He came
-
from heaven to earth. He came to walk as a
-
man to be our friend. To feel the pain that
-
we would go, the lag, the challenge, the temptation, everything.
-
Can we accept God as he is and stop putting
-
the challenge?
-
I know so many people say, explain to me these
-
Dad is there.
-
I'm not a deef. No, I want to those what's
-
that word collar apologetics? I don't apologize for Jesus.
-
He's Jesus, He's God.
-
Why should I apologize for him? You cannot accept him
-
too bad? Speak to him when you meet him in heaven.
-
Let's me like course, I'm simple minded, right. I cannot
-
talk big Wordsir. He can heal you in Jesus name
-
out you go, your unclean spirit done? But if you
-
cannot accept that, something I can do.
-
Oh.
-
I'm saying if in human sense you ask me, Master,
-
can you accept me as fam Yes? I do really
-
accept it? You are you tell your lover? Can you
-
accept me as I am? I'm so tall, six foot
-
three you are only five foot three? Okay, I accept you?
-
Can you accept me?
-
This? This is what I'm doing. This is my job
-
and you are CEO. I'm just oh our God, frand sisters.
-
Have we accepted God for who he is? He is God?
-
Full stop? If he wants to rain, his heaven is
-
crying so that the earth can have water to water
-
the plants. And then you say, lousy God, why you
-
make it rain? I have an appointment? You know my
-
dress now wet. Really, he's God. He wants to water
-
the earth.
-
Give water to the plants.
-
This is business. Why do we keep asking God to
-
explain himself? I think we do that all the time.
-
You and I are not ready to abandon ourselves and
-
accept that He will take care of us and that
-
his choices for us are perfect, and we have to
-
trust him. We have to crucify our rights and our
-
pride because we keep wanting to approve God first. But
-
if we are willing to surrender that and to recognize
-
that God alone is worthy of our praise, of our worship,
-
our glory belongs to him, never to us. That's how
-
you love God. When you give God back the glory.
-
You just you give him back the glory all the time.
-
That's how you love God. When you surrender and say
-
I don't understand Lord. I won't ask you why. I'll
-
just say thank you, Lord, teach me, lead me, show
-
me your ways, and teach me. Amen. You know I
-
counted a privilege to know God and to love him
-
and to serve him. Do you counted a privilege that
-
God knows your name? Sometimes you and I are so
-
star struck by the big time names. They don't even
-
know your name, but we like dressed up all dancree. Oh,
-
I don't know whatever names you Arena Billie Eilishua.
-
I went for a concert.
-
Like we we we think the whole deck wasn't hand
-
and get touched by the Pope. Sorry if you went
-
and I missed it, he wasn't sinkapore. But we seldom
-
come and say, Lord, the King of Kings, the Lord
-
above our Lord, the master of the universe, thank you.
-
I can shake your handy and I come under your
-
wing of protection. Thank you for just loving me with
-
all my nonsense, for giving me when I failed a
-
hundred times. Do we counted the privilege that were even
-
called a son of God, a daughter of God, that
-
he's my heavenly father. Do we wait to hold God's
-
hand and ask him to bless us? But he says
-
so many times we catch ourselves wanting recognition from someone else,
-
recognition and being thanked and appreciated, when we actually already
-
serve the most high God. What a privilege to know God?
-
To all believe us in the house or follow us
-
of Christ or disciples of Christ, if you choose to
-
be a disciple of Christ. What a privilege to love him,
-
What a privilege to serve God. What a joy. We
-
want all to touch everybody else, But do we touch God?
-
And He is made real to us through Christ Jesus,
-
Amen and all. I want to say those fine ways
-
that you can love God and experience his love for yourself.
-
He first loved us, He first gave his son for us.
-
He first reached out and called my name, that I
-
could reach and take hold of his hand to have
-
a new life. I am grateful. I don't always show
-
it to God. I don't always say thank you Jesus.
-
But I'm awakened within me to thirst after the Lord,
-
to thirst for him and to love him. By what
-
represents church. We are all looking people who have no faith.
-
Why do they like the Eastern religions? Because it's touch,
-
it's routine, it's put the jawstick, it's going home somewhere.
-
You know you want that. Yet God gives us the
-
freedom to come to him, and the only you know that.
-
He just says, come early morning, seek me, or at
-
night or in the afternoon, Come any time, but come
-
in reverence to our God, pay him revery and reverential love, honor,
-
and just awe loving him, and I feel we forget that.
-
So I'm bringing this as a voice from God's heart
-
to remind us. As much as you know how much
-
God loves you, you also have the opportunity to love God,
-
to serve him, to obey him, to make him your master.
-
I don't just call him lord, I call him master.
-
He's my master. I am the one who serves him.
-
And yet he doesn't call me servant. He calls me friend. Wow,
-
friend Wall, you won't call me friendly? Am I my
-
your friend? Or she dares say, ah, am I your friend?
-
I don't know, right, Am I your friend?
-
But God calls me friend Wall.
-
That's the privilege, Amen, That's the privilege. Time up and overrun, Hallelujah.
-
Fall in love with Jesus Church. We can fall in
-
love with any guy, girls or guys any girl, but
-
keep in mind you can fall in love with Jesus.
-
Privilege to be loved by him and to love him,
-
Privilege to serve him. Privilege to we call the child
-
of God just so privilege. Don't ever look down on
-
who you are as a child of God and what
-
impact you can make on this side of heaven doing
-
everything you can't make an impact whatever you're doing right
-
now in your marketplace, in your.
-
Family, in your church.
-
I tell you, on this side of heaven, because you're
-
a child of God and you love God, we can
-
make impact positively to encourage somebody else and to really
-
just love God and bring something from that loving Him
-
to bless somebody. Amen. And so I'm going to ask
-
us to stand, and as we close today, I don't
-
think anyone should have their hands hung down, but you
-
should be so lifted up to the Lord and say God,
-
I want to love you. And if you think you
-
still have time and you still want to mess around
-
with your life and hide and just do things, don't
-
want to account for it. I just want to speak
-
the truth. God is still knocking at the door of
-
your heart, both to believe us and if you're not
-
yet known Christ, He's still knocking at the door of
-
our hearts. Because God loves you with an eternal love,
-
and He accepts you as you are, more than anyone
-
on deserve. He accepts me more as I am than
-
my husband will ever accept me.
-
I tell you that your parents.
-
Will not accept you as you as much as God
-
God will accept you for who you are, because there
-
will always be expectations that I can never meet. Before man,
-
before you, I will never meet that expectation. I can
-
never meet the expectations of my mom. But God takes
-
me as I am. He takes you as you are,
-
how you feel, how you look, how you do life.
-
He takes you as you are. Would you take God
-
as he is? He is God who reigns over the
-
heavens and the earth. Yet he would come down to
-
you you. He knows your name, He knows your secrets,
-
whether it be the heart cry or whether it be
-
a sin. Please, Church, bring it before the Lord before
-
you don't have an opportunity to do it, do it now.
-
Do it in this ability to reflect, to give thanks
-
to God. Find your own faith if you haven't found
-
your faith because nobody is a Christian just by birth.
-
You are Christian because you follow Christ. And it's powerful
-
when you know Christ for yourself, not because of your
-
grandfather the Bishop. No, you you make Christ the Lord
-
the master. You can't serve two masters. You can only
-
serve one fellow, belivered of the Lord. If we lost
-
our first love, today's a great day to come home
-
to Jesus. He's our first love. You've been struggling with
-
different things, which you let it down and just look
-
to Jesus. Talk to him. Say Lord, teach me, how
-
teach me? Lord, show me your ways, because your ways
-
are higher, your thoughts are higher, and I want to
-
follow your way. Thank you Jesus. Come on, let's look
-
to Jesus this morning. Hallelujah. We're loving God. We just
-
want to love God. Amen, Hellelujah, Thank you Lord, Thank
-
you Jesus.
