You're listening to a message to go from ex Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
I want to speak to you this morning about this.
-
Let's put the title up x TV. You don't mind.
-
This is the title for our message today and I
-
hope to encourage you. Oh. As I turned on my iPad,
-
I see my wife talking to me. She says, how
-
are you? I said, I'm fine. Better report that she
-
reprised again. Okay, all right, yeah, Sandra, I'm working for Jesus.
-
Now speak to the Lord. Okay, no, no, no examples, okay, examples.
-
So I had two messages. One was prepared much earlier
-
about faith, and this one I just received from the
-
Lord last week. It's been something that he's been speaking
-
to me about for years now, but he put it
-
on my heart, especially because when I was doing my
-
quiet time last week, I came to First Corinthians ten,
-
which we will turn to in a bit. First Corientians
-
ten we're going to read verses one to eleven. But
-
I came to that, you know, and now I'm no
-
longer in First Corinthians. I have just gone into Second
-
Corinthians in my current quiet time reading. But let's go
-
back to about a week ago where it was First
-
Corentians ten for me, and when I read it, I've
-
heard the Lord saying to me, I want you to
-
encourage my church before the year comes to a close
-
about a thought that they need to either know for
-
the first time or to be reminded what life is
-
really all about. So let's read the word of God
-
in First Corinthians ten, and let's see what the Lord
-
wants to say to us. Where'st what. Moreover, brethren, I
-
do not want you to be unaware that all our
-
fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea,
-
all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in
-
the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all
-
drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that
-
spiritual rock Hallelujah, that followed them, and that rock was Christ.
-
But with most of them, God was not well pleased.
-
This is an ouch moment. This is a sad part
-
of history. Most of them, the Bible says, not just
-
some of them, most of them, God was not well pleased.
-
Some of you know that our lives, especially as Christians,
-
have one goal, and that is to please God. We
-
want to please God. We want to put us big
-
smile on the face of Papa God right, our father
-
in heaven. But the people of the past were not
-
able to do that. Their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. Ver. Six.
-
Now these things became our examples, or there you go,
-
first mention of the word examples. These things became our
-
examples to the intent that we should not last after
-
evil things, as they also lasted, and do not become
-
idolatous as were some of them. As it is written,
-
the people sat down to eat and drink and rose
-
up to play. Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as
-
some of them did, and in one day, twenty three
-
thousand fell. That's a lot of people. No let us
-
temp Christ as some of them also tempted and were
-
destroyed by serpents. Nor complain as some of them also
-
complained and were destroyed by the destroyer. Now all these
-
things Verse eleven says happened to them as example. Is
-
a second time we're seeing the word examples. And they
-
were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of
-
the ages have come. Two times is mentioned in scripture examples,
-
and that everything was done, everything happened, everything was written
-
for our example. So, brothers and sisters, ladies and gentlemen,
-
if I hold up this Bible now and from Genesis
-
to First Corinthians ten, the author, which is Paul, Paul
-
the apostle who wrote Corinthians, is saying that everything from
-
Genesis to First Korethians ten was written for our example.
-
If I asked you for our one word definition, one
-
word summary of this Bible that you and I follow
-
after with our lives, it is our example example example.
-
That also probably means that everything from First Corinthians ten
-
to today and every other day after is for example.
-
And if you think about that for a moment, you
-
will realize that the summary of your life and mind,
-
our vision, our mission, our goal, our aim is to
-
live an exemplary life. And I pray that that will
-
help you with your living every day as it has
-
helped me. The reason why I wake up early in
-
the morning you spend time with God. The reason why
-
I treat my wife the way I treat her, The
-
reason why we do church the way we do church.
-
The reason why I planted another church at fifty two
-
when I should be retiring, The reason why almost everything
-
In fact, right now, I'm doing my doctorate, as some
-
of you know, is a DBA that I'm being offered
-
from and by help University, and I'm in the middle
-
of my thesis now. Just finish my chapter two, which
-
was the hardest for me because his literature review means
-
I have to read other people's literature and it's heard.
-
It's very hard. But the Lord told me, Kenneth, I'm
-
going to make you an example that it can be done.
-
It can be done. With God, all things are possible.
-
So don't retire to early, don't die too young. All right.
-
If God has given you life, there is a reason,
-
there is a purpose, and that is to be an example,
-
being an example when you are a teenager, be an
-
example when you are young working aout, be an example
-
when your grandparent. Every stage in life is to be
-
lived for the glory of God. And if you believe it,
-
say amen, do all things with that vision, do all
-
things with that mission, do all things with that spirit
-
that attitude. Okay, so let's go to the slides now,
-
because if I don't go to the slides, it might
-
take an hour and a half. But I'm going to
-
try to be guided by the slides because the stories
-
are plentiful, and I want to encourage all of you
-
to live your life well. And if there's any question
-
you can't answer, just answer and say it is for
-
example's sake, Why are you doing this to your wife?
-
It is for example, say I want to show my
-
children how to treat a woman. Why are you doing
-
this to your husband? I want to show the young
-
people all around me, this is the way you treat
-
a man. Why are you doing this to church? I
-
want to show the world that this is how you
-
honor God. Why do you give your offering like that?
-
I want to show that, you know, even though I
-
have very little in my pocket, I can still give
-
God my everything. A lot of people are complaining these days.
-
I don't know why my children in this way, you know,
-
I sometimes want to ask them to look look in
-
the mirror of But I think it's all fair. It's
-
always fair to say that, right, because children, as they
-
grow up, they have their own decisions. But I'll tell
-
you a lot of it has got to do with
-
that that somewhere, somehow someone modeled something to some young
-
person and they thought that that was the way. Hey, listen,
-
whether you are a good example or a bad example.
-
You are still an example. You and me we are
-
examples whether it can be done or it can be done.
-
You and I are examples of yes or no. Anybody okay,
-
we are all examples of with God, all things are
-
possible or with God it's not possible even with God.
-
Next Light says, everything is about example in life, really
-
everything the whole Bible, whole Bible, all the way. Now,
-
let me go from Genesis to Revelations and every day
-
of our life. It's about example. How you stay in
-
this church is an example. If you're going to stay
-
in this church, be an example of how and why
-
you stay. Give your best. Don't have half half hearted
-
you know attitude. If you're gonna be staying, stay and
-
give an example. If you're going to be going, it's okay,
-
go with an example, because opportunities are given to us.
-
You know, I left FGA to help SIB, and I
-
was SIB's first youth pastor. As I be that time
-
was eighty people. Now there are probably eight thousand, but
-
I was there first youth pastor. I want to make
-
sure that when I left FGA, I left with an example,
-
and that's why I get called back to speak. I
-
spoke in FJKL two weeks three weeks ago, this is
-
very important. And then when I left SIB to start
-
ex church, leave with an example. Oh it's so important, guys,
-
I need to understand. It's not about he's bad, she's good. No,
-
it's about your example. You want to show people that
-
you can do it and do it well. You want
-
to stay in your company, be the best staff, be
-
the best. Don't be there complaining and still want to
-
collect a salary. But if you want to leave your company,
-
leave well, leave well. Daniel Trunk. Trunk just told me
-
his boss ask him Jes last week, Daniel, are you
-
happy where you are because your job is still available?
-
He's a really left one, you Sunway. Once we write
-
him back, he says, achieve very happy. I'm fulfilling. He says, okay, anyway,
-
Sunway is celebrating our Christmas stuff, Christmas lunch. Come back
-
and have lunch with us. Because he left well, he
-
left very well. He told me. The testimony of how
-
he left. Is this important. It's not just about you
-
frustrated and angry and therefore one to throw you know,
-
the dustiness your your enemy that you know, it is
-
about hold on a minute in good times in bad times.
-
My life is to be lived as an example. Okay,
-
let's move on. Let's move on. Oh where did my
-
notes go to? All right, here we go next light.
-
This says everything is possible as long as they are examples.
-
When I when I travel the country, I realize which
-
have a church I go to? Nineteen nine percent of
-
the churches have got problems. And I'll give you just
-
an example, have problems with young families not serving the lot. Okay,
-
So I go and then the pastor will tell me, oh,
-
pasta kendeth, we don't have young people. Our teenagers are
-
gone by form five, Form five finish, they're all gone. Okay,
-
you're talking about a lostar. We're talking about you know,
-
all these small towns gone. They're God, they're gone because
-
they go to kl for studies. They go to p there,
-
maybe Singapore sometimes and some overseas, but mainly these areas.
-
And so they don't have young people serving. They don't
-
have campus students for sure, and young okay, doubts usually
-
are not there also because they find jobs here. Okay,
-
So churches are closing down, folks, I want to tell
-
you right now, I've got news from the ground that
-
even in Pahang itself, so many churches close down Allo
-
Star up North Kada. You know, people don't have the
-
next in line. Okay, Now there are young families, I heard,
-
and young families are probably the only hope with the
-
word young still there to serve the Lord while you're young.
-
And this is the thing. The thing is, you get
-
the first young couple married and having a baby. The
-
woman is pregnant, and the guy thinks to himself, because
-
there's no example in the church that it can be done,
-
he tells the pastor, pastor, when we give birth to
-
our first child, can you please give us six months off.
-
The pastor of course understands, because we are supposed to
-
be very understanding, and we say, of course, because first
-
baby is very hard. It's the first time being a parent.
-
Blah blah blah. Six months, six months. It turns into
-
one year very easily, my friends, because you can into
-
a habit. And when he turns into two year, and
-
by your second year, you're getting pregnant again. And so
-
now the second child means another one two years and
-
then hopefully I don't know know, hopefully you don't get
-
your third, but you know, but you know, because you
-
want to serve the Lord, and then you might get
-
your third and then you find yourself ten years not
-
serving the Lord. Okay, now listen to me, listen my heart,
-
because something has got to change. But where does it start?
-
Something has got to change, but where does this start?
-
Nineteen nine percent of the young families in Extra serve
-
the lot nineteen nine percent. And I'm just trying to
-
be humble about it because actually I think it one
-
hundred percent, but you know, maybe not, maybe not, but
-
it's a high percentage. I can't remember any young family
-
that I know, there's not one. At least one party
-
is serving the lot. But anyway, it's a high percentage.
-
Maybe maybe let's be let me, let's be humble, but
-
it is it ninety percent, okay, and in many other
-
churches is going to be ten said. So I believe
-
that X is blessed like this because we are supposed
-
to be a blessing. It means whenever we travel, we
-
want to tell churches all across Malaysia it's to hold
-
one child another child and say let's go I to
-
p Alexandra where we were married twenty nine years ago.
-
If I had a child, I will not stop serving
-
the law. Now. I know it's tough because there is crying,
-
there is food, a crankiness, there is you take the
-
child out after crash pampers and it pulls right as
-
you're closing the door of your house to go to church.
-
Why does it poll only when you're about to go
-
to church? Right? And I told my wife, I said, dear,
-
whatever it is, I know it's going to be tough.
-
I know it's going to be tough. But whatever it is,
-
there is no other option. So you must work your
-
life around what I call the true North, work your
-
life around the unchangeable, because if you don't have that,
-
and everything is open up in your life for a
-
messy life, there is no time to sleep, there's no
-
time to wake up, there's no time to eat, there's
-
no time to serve, there's nothing you with me. So
-
I see the thing is that I also know is tough.
-
I've seen it. But in my mind that I have this,
-
as I said, true North, this compass, this compass that
-
says Jesus is right there in front of me and
-
the Bible says, looking at to Jesus, the author and
-
the finishing of my faith. So I got to look
-
to Jesus, and I'll illustrate this towards the end. But
-
you gotta walk this line, walk this narrow path that
-
leads to life, because why is the path? Why does
-
the path that leads to destruction? And I'll show you
-
what I means towards the end of this message. So
-
the Lord God Almighty is trying to raise up examples
-
so that he can bless his body, his church. He's
-
trying to raise up examples of it can be done,
-
it's possible, so that when others see, they go like, ah,
-
now it's getting worse. Though. Now the young family is
-
or rather the young couple that's getting married and having
-
a baby. The wife is pregnant, maybe it's just three,
-
four or five months. The bump is showing, all right,
-
and the pastor now goes even one step further and
-
go like, hey, I can see that you're having a baby.
-
Why do you take six months off? Because we want
-
to do better by our understanding and actually it actually
-
sounds very the most understanding pastor in the world. We
-
might get award at the end of the Month award
-
at the end of the year. Now, I also want
-
to be understanding. But the Lord told me to make disciples,
-
and he didn't have any scripture. He says that, and
-
make disciples only of people who are not pregnant. Make
-
disciples of people who have only one child to a
-
second child. Don't don't touch them they are people. Don't
-
touch senior citizens because they retired. Id Let them do
-
their gardening, let them play golf. Okay. The g O
-
LF is going to replace the g O D okay,
-
and play Sundays more so. That's going to be your cathedral,
-
your new cathedral, okay. And the worship always goes up
-
one like hey, it goes up and it comes right down.
-
I'm joking, I know, but not. I'm speaking to you
-
hard to heart because I'm telling you right now, twenty
-
twenty five is coming just around the corner. And if
-
you can catch this, I'm telling you, twenty twenty five
-
can be amazing. It can be prospero arno, it can
-
be good, if not great. You don't have to retire, seriously,
-
especially from the Lord and from his calling. You don't
-
have to. There's so much more in store. If you
-
have lie and God it's given you breath. Oh so
-
much more, so much more example, example, example, God is
-
looking for examples, and as long as this example than
-
is possible, God is looking for examples. The next slide.
-
Adam was supposed to be an example. He failed in
-
many ways, and because of Adam's failure, the rest of
-
us are in a mess. But then he found Abraham,
-
and Abraham was an example. Even until he was ninety
-
one hundred years old, Joseph was met by Portifa's wife,
-
Sleep with me, sleep with me. Every day she says,
-
sleep with me, and Joseph says, I can't do this.
-
I fear God. Moses was an example, supposed to be
-
the Prince of Egypt. Could have had comfortable life, but
-
instead wanted his calling in state, chose purpose over prosperity.
-
David was an example. Wasn't he until today is to
-
quoting him a man after God's own heart? Yes, even
-
with Batsheba he failed, but then he asked God to
-
forgive him, and God restored Esther. I had to add
-
one woman's name in here. What an example. She was
-
going to die if the king was angry with her
-
for coming into his presence without him calling her. She said,
-
if I perish, I perish. I just got to do
-
what's right. Daniel, Jesus himself, Peter, Paul, Timothy imitate me?
-
Is I imitate? God is looking for examples. Maybe I
-
put dot dot because I want to add Kenneth's chin,
-
elder Bingh out of Terrance. I want to elder at.
-
A woman's name is the elder Mabel. And then the
-
day is coming where it's going to be Sarah and Amma.
-
But we choose every day. We choose whether we want
-
to be a normal you ordinary teen they just likes
-
to mess around, book each other, or are we going
-
to be extraordinary? Ordinary? Extraordinary? Oh, you can't preach long
-
to young people who said, you're talking about ordinary youth.
-
We don't have any ordinary youth in this church. Church.
-
You know, see all these the champions, they're amazing. We
-
don't have. We don't have just normal go crazy. Why
-
can I see in church one? Can you servant? No?
-
We don't, we don't, we don't. So everybody, Okay, God
-
is looking for examples. How is he going to speak
-
to the teenagers in Malaysia through the teenagers in this church?
-
How is he going to speak to the young doubts
-
in Malaysia through the young douts in this church? How
-
are you going to speak to the young families in
-
Malaysia to the young families in this church. How's he
-
going to speak to the senior citizens or the seniors
-
through the seniors in this church? How's he going to
-
speak to the iss man, to the business men in
-
this hurt? I was going to speak to the college
-
campus students, you know who was of partying all the time,
-
you know, and drinks and and and you know, sexual
-
stuff going on in and and the and the and
-
the and the campus students in this church, says, Hold
-
on a minute. I don't have to walk that road.
-
I don't have to be what you want me to be.
-
I can be what God wants me to be. Jesus
-
at twelve, where was he in the temple talking with
-
older men, older leaders, dialogueing twelve years? Oh? What was
-
he trying to show us? Example? Never? He was thirty?
-
Example in life, he was an example in death. He
-
was an example still hanging on the cross. You know,
-
I remember one time, but I was a preacher many
-
years ago. I was so it was so funny, I laughed,
-
but not funny, because he said, how would you react
-
when you're hung there and you have no sin? You know,
-
there is the son of God. He's some days probably
-
looking at them. Are you wait and see when I
-
come down all of you? You know, he didn't see that.
-
He said, forgive them, Father, for they know not what
-
they do even in death. I told my wife, I said,
-
I don't know how I'm gonna go home with to
-
be with the Lord. But I did know what I
-
want on my tombstone. And yeah, and and and you know,
-
we talk about it. We talk about it. In fact, yeah,
-
I guess, I guess I want a tombstone then, so yeah,
-
don't don't cremate me. Okay, this is just puts so
-
that people get other people can't visit and get inspired
-
even by my tombstone. God is looking for examples. Family. Okay,
-
let let's let's go. Let's go ahead, let's go on next,
-
like please. Families are looking for examples. And they because
-
a lot of people don't know how do marriage. They
-
don't know. There's no school of marriage, school of marriage.
-
Three years of school of marriage. Yeah, one foundation of course,
-
how to say, I like you to a girl, and
-
how to say I like you to a man. Foundation
-
and then as it goes on, wow, you come out
-
with a degree or a master's in marriage. No such thing.
-
Don't have a lot of people learn by child and error. Yes,
-
the people just say it more error. Sometimes I've been
-
married twenty nine years only and I tell you it's
-
not been easy. Hey, sometimes it's been good. Most times
-
it's been very good. But sometimes we wonder why we
-
got married. Can I be very honest with you? Hey, God,
-
asie if I was singlar, can do so much more?
-
Go more places, go for more days. Yeah, I think
-
to myself, you know, God, you know I'm celebrating my
-
train nine ndiver three, or celebrated my train on going
-
into my thirtieth. Wow, Lord, it's been. It's been you.
-
It's been You've been faithful thing about you know? How?
-
You know what's the toughest part about my marriage? I
-
be very honest with you, keep you transparent. My wife
-
is another version of kel Chine plus plus. So when
-
I go hope up there, I don't have wife. I
-
have senior minister, missions pastor and something that long for
-
a wife along And one day I actually told her,
-
I said, saying, can you be my wife today? See
-
I am? I said no, no, no, I don't know. May
-
you understand what I'm saying. But I've been thinking about
-
this a long time. And then we had a chat
-
and then she said, okay, what you want for dinner?
-
Also nice because usually I have to choose dinner. Yeah,
-
twenty nine years of marriage, I think about three seven
-
years put together, are the one who prepared dinner? And
-
uh and not prepared. I don't know how cool, but
-
it's like finding a pace to eat outside. We only
-
eat at home. Wow, I'm just telling you. I just
-
see a piece so open to you know, we twenty
-
nine years of marriage. We only eat at home I
-
think average five times a year. And for those five times,
-
it's making me because we're just so tired. One time
-
could be pizza all the all the rest of the time.
-
You know, I've got to find a place to take her,
-
feed her and pay the bill. So good, it's true.
-
So good, it's true. And then the day is I
-
go like saying, I miss having a wife. And so
-
that's the tough part. And on Sundays it's get up together.
-
As I said to you all, right. Last week I
-
was in Cyberjaya, she was in Clang. This week I'm here,
-
she's in Mony. Maybe next week we'll meet. But that's
-
why Mondate is so important to me. And a lot
-
of you go like, oh, past the whole you introduce Monday,
-
I say, I had no choice. Not I had no choice.
-
That's a choice. I said. I've got to make sure
-
that once a week I have a wife and she
-
has a husband. It's all just me and I'm not
-
she She probably alsos up fees that way. When I'm
-
sitting down now, especially for hours and hours writing my
-
thesis for my doctorate. Uh you know, I can be
-
in my room writing for eight hours and she just
-
she knows I'm doing this, and so she yeah, so
-
maybe she didn't have a husband for eight hours. Actually
-
I'm writing on Saturday. It's our day to be together,
-
to do things together. But so there's all of understanding,
-
but sometimes you just but what am I trying to say?
-
Families are looking for examples. Uh So, so we've got
-
to think about that, and we've got to ask God
-
for wisdom and make the best of whatever time you
-
have together. Make the best of whatever time you have together.
-
Remember your wife, remember your husband. They are your best friend.
-
You actually married your best friend. And talking about parents
-
so much to talk about parenting. It's a huge thing.
-
But is it just is it just your story or
-
are you you know? This is why I told passed
-
Jack last week cyber I said, Jack, do you know
-
why you have one? One child? The first child? He said, yeah, one?
-
But is it? But do you know why you have three?
-
Because God felt like one was not good enough for
-
you to model up that you can do it with
-
one child, so we give you two. And the rest
-
of the people in your church also some of them
-
have two children. But before the person can say Jack, oh,
-
yes one, I have two. Therefore he doesn't understand me,
-
he went and gave Jack two. You know, I see
-
life a bit differently these days. On the very job
-
you have is because God wants you to be an
-
example there, whether he gave it to you or didn't
-
give it to you. It's also example. How you respond
-
to a job rejection is also an example. Every Okay,
-
this is this what life is. And we can go
-
on to children. But I think we heard enough about that. Okay,
-
let's let's go on to the next one. Our young people,
-
including our young wookie adults, are also looking for examples,
-
ye are. And of course when you look at the scripture,
-
what does the scriptures say? Let no one despise your youth? Right,
-
I see I'm stopping so that I'm just waiting for
-
the next slight to come. Yes, thanks so much. Let
-
no one despise your youth. But be an example to
-
the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit.
-
Now this is this is for young people. And again
-
the writer is so he's so confident with young people
-
not being left out, but even they themselves can be example.
-
And I don't have the time to go through all
-
five with you that I think there are five things here,
-
But if you look at it, you realize why word
-
is number one, Why conduct is number two, Why in
-
love is number three. I studied it when I was
-
trying to talk to a girl of youth, you know,
-
maybe many many years ago now, and it all says,
-
do you know the word is the first thing that
-
gives your age away. You come in full suit, like
-
elder Terrans. Beautiful you look you look like a beautiful
-
man who just overcame COVID. Yeah, and he could look
-
he could look at certain age until he opens his mouth,
-
and then you go like, I think his traveler because
-
your word. No, young people always their word is good.
-
This is what we're So we could have young people
-
even in this room, who doesn't have to speak like
-
ordinary young people. They speak well. They speak caringly, lovingly, honorably, respectfully.
-
See by all the other things they just speak of. Well,
-
they are the ordinary teenagers. No, I'm not. When I
-
was fifteen, I gave my life to Jesus. When I
-
was seventeen, I heard from the Lord for the very
-
first time, very clearly. A man was wanting to jump
-
out of his hotel window in Holiday Inn. I was seventeen.
-
This man was from Philippines. He sang in the pubs.
-
His friend brought him because this man couldn't sleep for
-
two weeks, so by the second week he was a zombie, totally,
-
a zombie. Didn't sleep or two weeks. All he wants
-
to do is find a window, open it. And a friend,
-
by the grace of God, pulled him back about five
-
six times already. And so the end in my father's office,
-
and my father called my homes leader. My homes leader
-
at that time was probably in his sixties. I was seventeen.
-
The homes healer called me. Of all people are my
-
homes healer called me, you know, just two years old, Crescent.
-
Maybe you saw something and we adult see that. We
-
can see whether a young person is he's got a
-
special it's totally different. It's on fire for God. We
-
can see what we can see. And so he called me.
-
He says, Kenny calls me, Kenny, Kenny, your dad just
-
called me. And someone needs deliverance, needs to cast out
-
the demon from this man. Because he hasn't been sleeping
-
for two weeks. The devil must be disturbing his mind.
-
So I said, why in the word did my homes
-
leader call me? All right, he's got assistant leaders, he's
-
got the called me. Can I pick you up? I say, okay,
-
I put down the phone. At seventeen years old, I
-
got down on my knees. I said, Lord, I don't
-
know why I'm going and what I'm doing, but if
-
you have anything that I can offer, please tell me.
-
And the Lord dropped something in my spirit. He says something,
-
But you know, I didn't even know it was a lot.
-
He says, you know how he drops just so he
-
but the host diader can't pick me up. We went
-
to my father's office. When I walked in, I looked
-
at I took one look at this his Filipino band boy.
-
I took one look at his face and he looked
-
like the walking dat Now okay, two weeks mostly just
-
totally pale, and there's deadness in his eyes. He CAAI
-
look at you and not look at you a bit scary.
-
So we sat down around the table and my dad said,
-
for the last two hours of waiting, I've been giving
-
him all the scriptures. Hopefully he will step out. Brother Shiping,
-
brother Siping was our homestaler, brit Swiping, you take over.
-
So Brad Sieping says, brother and his minister wonderful, wonderful,
-
wonderful words, wow words, and all of us we would
-
have been encouraged, except his men. He's just like a zombie.
-
And Jesus loves you and died for your sins. In mind,
-
I want to die. I want to die. And so
-
we couldn't couldn't get through for an hour, and I
-
think to end it all nicely, we say, let's pray, right,
-
So before my father had anger sipping pray, I said, oh,
-
I tell you what I felt like a fly on
-
the wall. I fled. I felt like, you know, to
-
be seen not heard, seventeen years old? What can I do?
-
Two men, including the homes Leader, has a really spoken
-
preach the gospel really twice over, and then the Holy
-
Spirit just began to stir up within me. Seventeen you
-
stir up within me, Kenneth. I gave you something right
-
before you came speak up now, And so I said
-
that that was about to say suns about ready that, yes, son,
-
can I say something? Sure? I guess I was like, oh, yeah, yeah, Kenneth.
-
I didn't know he was hoping that I would say
-
something now, because he said to me later, I've always
-
seen you as a very extraordinary teen. I didn't think so,
-
but sometimes people can see it, as I say they
-
can see. And so I said, I asked a question.
-
I said, sir, how's your relationship with your father? I
-
didn't give any scripture, all the scriptures given a ready,
-
I just said, how's the relationship with your father? Within
-
thirty seconds, he burst into tears and he cried, could
-
answer me, could answer us? And then we went on
-
that road because we saw the Lord open that door,
-
and he didn't have a good father. Who when he
-
brought back seven a's still asks why no, eight a's
-
who just I mean? Maybe he had a father with high, high,
-
high expectations and would hit him for no reason. And
-
he had such a hatred for his dad. Right, and
-
now you tell him that God is your father, and
-
the only picture he has in his mind is a
-
bad father, and father equals cruel. And then we said
-
your father, no matter what happened, God is not like that.
-
The ministry went on for about half an hour, but
-
straight to the heart of who father God really is.
-
He's a million times better than your dad, maybe a
-
billion times cannot be counted. He's too good. He gave
-
his only big God in the son. Then you start
-
ministreaming with all the other scriptures. Now you can't entered
-
because there was a door that was always close, shut
-
so tight. Now as he opens, the scripture makes sense.
-
And the guy got back to the hotel those days,
-
no handful. No guy got back to the hotel and said,
-
caught my father and said, Mike, I want to tell you.
-
As soon as we got into the taxi, this man
-
who didn't sleep for two weeks. Slept like a baby
-
all the way to the hotel and he still sleep picked.
-
I had to wake him up getting back to the
-
hotel room, and he continues sleeping. I think he was
-
making up for two weeks, and he chose to live.
-
He said, I want to tell you that God can
-
use any one of us, and maybe just for that
-
last five minutes is for the teen, say, because our
-
teens are very special to us, and I know that
-
you just don't come to a place where you're hearing
-
the lie of the enemy. That it can be possible.
-
It's possible, all right, So word, word, word, because word
-
usually is the first thing that gives your age away.
-
And then the conduct, and then love. Love, Why love?
-
Because love always thinks about other people, but teenagers always
-
think about themselves if they are not in the lot.
-
Oh dad, why so long? Man, I'll go back. It's
-
always them, mom, Why it's always demon so long? Why
-
now hungry? They don't hardly think about other people. I'm
-
not talking about youth, are youth, but youth in general.
-
And so that's why he says, can you young people
-
be an example in love? Cannot Actually, it's quite impossible
-
with young people because selfishness is is the name of
-
the game. But we can with Christ, we can. Amen. Amen,
-
all right. You know, I was thinking about young young
-
adults who are looking for relationship, and I know it's hard.
-
You know, it's a hard game. All of us are doubts.
-
They have been, Trila, I guess all of us have been.
-
How do you tell a girl you like her when
-
you like her? Oh, I've been praying for you, oh
-
the Christian way, sister, Sister. I just want to let
-
you know, sister, don't don't, yeah, don't take it any
-
other way. I just want to let you know I've
-
been praying for you. Pray for what. I just take
-
it as that life for now, and then you can
-
pray and ask a lort what that means. So I
-
like busses Andra. I didn't like any other girl. Buzza's
-
my first girlfriend and my wife. And so I looked
-
at her one day. She was worship beating Wow, just wow.
-
Love for the Lord was just so uh, you know,
-
so drawing to me, and I said, wow, God, if
-
I could have someone like her. And I went back
-
home and I prayed about it, said, Lord, Sandra looks
-
pretty good. And then then he said, then, then prayer,
-
remember the first six months of prayer. Lord, if it
-
is your will, let me be done. Lord, if it
-
is your will, let me be done. One day after
-
six months that the road says, but do you like her? Not?
-
I said, yes, I like her. Okay, let's start with
-
that first. Okay, let's start with that, because I would
-
not force you to like anybody if he's not okay.
-
So then the Lord told me put her on the altar.
-
Put it on the altar. So I put her on
-
the altar. And when you put thank you so much, pingle,
-
and when you put living in sacrifices on the altar,
-
they move. So she moved because there were so many
-
guys after her past was likely quite a good looking person.
-
And so all the guys in uh in church, you know,
-
I either liked her or you know whatever. Okay, And
-
of course God gave her the best.
-
But the thing is, yeah, just in passing, Yeah, okay,
-
God remember the poorla and often you know.
-
Okay, So yeah, pray, pray. A lot of the guys
-
who come to tell me, but pass Kenneth, how do
-
you do it? Or something? Just friends, Kenneth, how do
-
you do it with era, I said, I prayed, train
-
a half years Ha, why are you so silly? Silly?
-
What you mean silly? You like this tella? Then how
-
if they say I don't like then get hurt for
-
a few months. Now I know, get hurt for a
-
few months. Cannot reject it, Nola, I said, I prayed,
-
I pray. I think young adults are looking for examples
-
how to do it better. Because it's I like you,
-
you like me or not? It's for ages, no long time,
-
any week. You I think you should try, try to
-
change change a Libela ask my friend to ask I
-
have a friend. I have a friend that you don't
-
know about. Yes, and he or she has some interest
-
in you. You gotta not know, Okay, why why do
-
the process? You know? Because they don't know what you're
-
talking about? It could be stricked, you know, and uh
-
and so they want to know. So I'm gonna ask
-
you right now in this room, how many young adults
-
here who are not hooked up yet will say, in
-
your heart, pastor, I choose to be an example. I
-
don't want to just go on with a relationship just
-
like all my other friends in college. Why why go
-
and choose all these cheap skate yo. Did I just
-
say that all this strategy alone, even female dog and
-
neil dogs are doing that, you know, of course with
-
some extra stuff. But you know yeah, no, you're know
-
a dastpin. Don't just take in order rubbish. Find a
-
better way train a half years wh way long way
-
and then when the trailer half is finished, I said, Lord,
-
is it time now? He said, yes, tell her you
-
can tell her now, finish my degree treating my law degree,
-
can tell her now, can tell her how to tell her.
-
I pray for you. I wrote her letter because I
-
never ever told a girl I like her before. I
-
never Wow, I tell you it, stressfool, stressful. So I
-
wrote her letter. I asked God for confirmation to give
-
her the letter. I said, Lord, if this happens, this happens,
-
this happens, I will give her the letter. All happened,
-
but I couldn't give the letter so scared. No, I
-
tell you seriously, I don't know why. Maybe it was
-
the other guys that you dream on like dream on
-
you want Sandra, you dream on lah? Yeah, I should
-
have told him that I'm a dreamer. No, So I
-
think young Oki doubts that depends what they need. Help
-
la right navigating some of these things. You know, yeah,
-
let's move on because of time, man, let's move on.
-
Although I've got to tell you something else that is
-
very passionate to me. Can't tell you study is very
-
very passionate to me. So I got married three nine
-
years ago. I only get married once. You know, huh
-
once we can do renewer marriage vous Kenna, but once
-
to me. So you know why God gives you a
-
wedding so that you can be an example. Everything he
-
gives you is, for example, and everything one child for example,
-
two for example, three for example, five for example, eleven,
-
start football team. You know why you give you the car,
-
the house, why, everything? So that you can show another
-
man how it's done, show another woman how is that?
-
People are looking for inspiration or so wedding My wife
-
and I he said, you need one wedding. We need
-
you know, most of the time people come leave for
-
wedding one hours are I want a message because I
-
got it only one wedding. I want to put on
-
the car seven pm shot. Usually when you stick wedding
-
cars that you don't see shop one because he's not
-
so nice man, right, I put shop, and then we
-
decided that if Malaysia was ever going to change the attitude,
-
what's attitude? If they say six seven thirty. I know
-
you're laughing because you also think like that. Sometimes stop
-
better stop a ready, otherwise Malaysia will never change. How
-
we pray are doing an election time? Oh Lord, take
-
a weak corruption, and then we give money to policemen
-
when the stop us. But we pray, Oh God, give
-
us a government that's not corrupted, and then we pay
-
the policeman when they stop us. Hello, how are what
-
gonna answer your prayer? Gotta start somewhere right, want to
-
be early, be early here all but people still criminate
-
to church? How are your children gonna change? You ask
-
your children twenty years from now why you only to
-
church on my father's name? I said, you never called him.
-
It's got to start somewhere. So seven pm Sharma, six
-
fifteen nine, My wife and I was at the front
-
door waiting to march in. She's holding my head, I'm
-
holding her hand as is Hendra. People are gonna hate
-
us for this. But if you're gonna change Malaysia, gonna
-
start with our wedding. My elders, my elders, who are
-
usually early arrive at seven sharp. They were so shocked
-
because they've never however, you have ever been to any
-
wedding shop. Come on your hands. No, of course, no,
-
of course no, because we are all creatures of habit.
-
A whole group of boys from DVFC came late for
-
the lunch that I organized for them. One or two
-
boys came late, as late as one hour. I turned
-
to my coach, I said, I haven't heard you taking
-
anyone of them to tasks. What's going on? He said, oh, Pasta,
-
you gotta you know this cultury culture a day from
-
the B forty group, they don't understand. I said, brother,
-
I don't exist to just give them football. I exist
-
to give them a future. Football come and go, but attitude.
-
Do you know why B forty remains B forty because
-
of this? B forty means below forty, meaning the forty
-
percent of the poor, forty percent of the poorest in
-
the nation. It's called B forty just in case you
-
don't understand that. And you know why they remain poor
-
because there's no adults who say I told you twelve,
-
why you come at one? You will not play for
-
this team this year. You must be tough. We already
-
send two boys, two Malai boys back to school now
-
because at school to wonder me, Daly played true and
-
not for one and a half years now. But after
-
this boy went back to school, pengo, you know him
-
form five, he's doing from five. Now we are here
-
to give him a future, not just football. How long
-
can your football last? Future attitude? After the brother has
-
gone back to school, his sister I just heard eleven
-
years old. Eleven years old has never been to school.
-
Eleven is already. But so the brother go back to
-
school now, wants to go back to school, send young
-
people back to school and give them a future and
-
a hope. This is what extras does. This is what
-
ya does. But listen, example example, where is it so
-
no one in this room can answer about being early
-
for your own wedding? Was so as Yeah, passionate right,
-
I know it's going to be quiet. When are you
-
going to start making such a difference in your life
-
that your young people can say, I'm inspired by Uncle
-
Soy and so I'm inspired by Auntie Soy and so?
-
When or is it just about money? This is it
-
just about golf? This is just about gardening. Hello, there's
-
more to life. I've started a new church in good
-
community at fifty two. Who does that? We do that
-
because the Lord says can be done, So you do it,
-
and then other people at fifty cannot now have an
-
excuse because someone did it. All you need is one.
-
Some ladies know in the Chinese world will say, oh la,
-
men must definitely play a fool outside. This is a
-
statement that the Chinese will say, if you are a man,
-
for sure you will be able to for sure you
-
will play a fool with other women outside. Whose word
-
is that? No, there's not my word, There's not God's word.
-
There is the world's word. So you want to be
-
able to say, what kind of man do you want
-
to be? Help your son understand it, help your nephew
-
understand what kind of man. With God's grace, we can
-
do it. Amen. So I'm standing there with my wife.
-
I tell you I was so a diamon elder terrans.
-
I don't know better. It is a good example of
-
my father said his son son, sixty percent of the
-
tables are not full. Sixty percent of the tables are
-
not full. I said, Dad, I have a message. You
-
got to you gotta give this to me. This is
-
my wedding. I already have one. I might be the
-
only one in Malaya who's early for his wedding. My
-
wife and I thank god I have a wife. Never,
-
let's do it, how mad? I was Okay, do you
-
adviser anto A ever come? I told her the seven
-
pm sharp word. If Auntie can't even come for her
-
niece's wedding, sharper, what else she doing? I was side there.
-
That's why they also do outside because simple thing wedding.
-
M hmm. See how passionate. I'm not scolding anybody. No,
-
are you still with me? With me? No? WHOA your life?
-
One life to live? Be an example? A. So here
-
we are about to work. You know they were on
-
time seven seven pm sharp, my eldest, but still say
-
sorry because when you're early, it's good. Right, when you're
-
on time, you're late. We say, ok So there, my
-
wife and I walk right Ola, Yeah, comes the bride here? Okay,
-
so we're walking in. Oh we look at all the
-
tables so empty. Wow, I think my heart would beating
-
fast door, Like, did I make a mistake? Empty family members, auntie, uncles,
-
empty by the time some people came. I was one
-
hour late. We had to put food on plates by
-
side because we were ready. The fifth dish, Thank God,
-
the umpow was put outside. Halleljah, Praise God. Amen. Don't
-
collect power inside, collect outside. Don't let him see anything
-
on his side first Hallelujah. Tie tonguslang God, dredging. There
-
was where I had my wedding. Continue every time. Don't settle,
-
don't settle. I never mind lie. You know that word
-
never mind, not taking Throw it out of your vocabulary.
-
Use it only when you're showing mercy to people showing compassion,
-
and then say he spilled the miller never mind. At
-
all other times, I don't say never never mind. I
-
don't you study never mind us? So what? My mother agreed, No,
-
it's never mind us so what? No, No, my husband
-
is no, no no. We use never mind the right time, Yeah,
-
for mercy, for compassion. At all other times. In terms
-
of your destiny, don't say never mind. I cannot am
-
supposed to be this and this and this and this
-
and this and this. I never mind. I just one.
-
I just choose one. Law and God says cannes Chine.
-
You are a man of five talents. Why do you
-
settle for one and I hide four in the ground
-
worse than the men who won money. Everybody, okay, all right,
-
I know marketplace is looking for examples. There's the next right, yeah,
-
the marketplace. You know, ladies German And you know why
-
Jesus said forgive them, for they know not what they do. Actually,
-
the marketplace without Jesus no know what to do with.
-
They learned MBA, they learned PhD, get the damage. They
-
learn the ways of the world. I have a contractor
-
that works on my house. He's a little bit upset
-
with Christians because the way we pay. One time he
-
complained to Ken Young because it was one of our
-
church members. I mean, they shouldn't be sharing with us
-
because it's private stuff. A lot of people are doing stuff.
-
But in a way, I also I'm glad because I
-
really don't want anyone in Exegia to not pay when
-
they should be paying. If you have the money, piece
-
pay no money, don't do your renovation. So I pay
-
even without the contract asking, because I said, I said
-
to him, his name is Ken Ken you know me.
-
I live by faith. But when I have money, you
-
have it. When I don't have, you don't have it.
-
So he told Elder Kenyng there because have to share
-
with him. I say, hey, you're boss, way different now.
-
I didn't ask him for the money, so you give
-
me no because I know the whole project is two
-
hundred thousand. I only pay him hundred. Of course I
-
have to keep paying one. Why you have to ask
-
people no? So at a lot of times they teach
-
you outside in the world delay it's all about cash
-
flow delay. It's all about cash flow delay. Yeah. I
-
want to say to you, don't delay because all by
-
your witness, don't delay because of your testimony. Don't delay
-
because you suppose we example. No, this guy has done
-
so many Christian houses. Yea, but I still don't want
-
to be Christian because there are more examples of Christian.
-
Don't pay him, and I feel very embarrassed. Thank God. Actually,
-
out of the few names he's complained about, only one
-
is in our church. Because I tell you what, I
-
just want to make sure that we are discipling people to,
-
even in the marketplace, do it in the way that
-
pleases God. I also don't owe anybody anything. The Bible says,
-
don't owe anybody anything if it belongs to them, pay
-
them maybe okay, Yeah, marketplace is looking for examples. The
-
church is looking for examples because so many churches are
-
falling around the world's leadership problems and all that. So
-
we're all looking for examples. How can you be a
-
leader that's integris faithful. Yeah, very very important. I can
-
go on and on, but my time is up. The
-
nation is looking for examples the nation. Don't just pray.
-
Become an example is very very important. Last time, there
-
was one time a li Hua being adapted. Lijuabing was
-
the state Assemblyman of subang Jaya and Christian, and he
-
witnessed to people here in Summit, and he was trying
-
to witness to a to a boss here at that time.
-
That group made group a boss who was not a Christian.
-
And liuah Bing goes to him and says, I know
-
a pastor called Kenachin who uses submit for his church.
-
I want you to meet him one day. So Leo
-
Abing said to me, Kenneth passed, Kenneth, you have time
-
to meet with the senior man of Summit. I just
-
told him about you. I said, what do you tell him?
-
I said, I told him there is a pastor here
-
who has a church in Summit, and he is a man,
-
the only man I know who does whatever God tells him.
-
That became my testimony here from the mouth of a
-
status every man to the ears of a man who
-
is the top guy here. And all he could summarize
-
about me is this is a man who does anything
-
and everything God tells him. So I met him. I'm
-
not sure that he has come to know the Lord.
-
But nation and leaders are looking for example. Everybody. Okay, yeah,
-
our mission. Let's draw towards the last lab, the last
-
closure of this message, the last you know gear. I'm
-
moving up to the last gear. And our mission purpose
-
in life is to be examples. All of you know
-
that as soon as our eyes are open in the
-
morning till our eyes are close at night, we have
-
the opportunity or the opportunities to make a real difference
-
just by being examples to the people around us and
-
after us. As a mission needs a vision, so examples
-
need an example. Do you understand that a mission, every
-
mission needs a vision and every example needs an example. Okay,
-
So Jesus came to the earth to be God's example
-
to the world. Amen, Let's look at the scripture John fourteen.
-
I summarize for you. It's just this. Jesus said to
-
his disciples, if you have seen me, you have seen
-
the Father. Wow. How confident is that? Because Jesus was said,
-
because none of us could see the Father, he's up
-
invisible God. But when he came, Jesus came, he was
-
not invisible. He was visible. And everything he did he
-
did after the Father. He says, if you see me,
-
you see the Father. I love it. If you want
-
to know the Father, see Jesus. Read about Jesus, Read
-
about what he's done. So our vision, an example is
-
Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith. Everybody, okay, amen,
-
acts subang Then the day you don't have to remain
-
so quiet. Tell me that you're still alive. Hey, man,
-
you know some pace they use. It was the phrase
-
they use, tell me that you are still a life
-
without telling me that you're still a life. Okay. Jesus
-
is our compass, our true north. You know, in Christianity,
-
seldom God gives you a map, but he often gives
-
us a compass. All of us want a map, Oh,
-
exactly where to go? He didn't give Abraham a map.
-
He gave Abraham a compass, and it was called faith.
-
And wherever Faith pointed, Abraham went. How to love my wife,
-
how to forgive him my husband, How to bring up
-
my first child, how to bring up my second? Jesus,
-
teach me learn that from books. Go study. No no, no,
-
no no. Lord, there's a lot of books out there.
-
Too much, too much opinion, too much voice, too many voices.
-
I just Lord, show me, Lord, show me how to
-
do church, how to be a boss, a good supervisor.
-
No map, but compass. There will be many voices, many opinions,
-
many many, too many, too many. Everybody wants to have
-
an opinion. How you bring up your child? Focus on
-
Jesus and walk a straight line towards him. This is
-
where I'm going to do the illustration, and I'm going
-
to close. Remember Peter walking on water. Why because Peter
-
was walking on water. So if you go like Pasta,
-
I will never walk on water. But everyone here in
-
this room have your own water. You walk on. When
-
I was walking into my wedding at seven pm sharp,
-
I was walking on and the tables that were empty
-
were like the storm that Peter got his eyes on storm,
-
and then he sank, and a lot of us sometimes
-
don't go all the way with what God has called
-
us to because we keep looking at other people, other things.
-
Other challenges are storms. Don't just keep your eyes on
-
Jesus and you won't sink. And even if you sink,
-
you know the Lord will catch you. Where all examples
-
in our own ways says the next slighte. Whether we
-
know it or not, whether we like it or not.
-
You know, when you come in late to church, you're
-
idi an example. You know, you know how you become
-
a stronger example when you walk into church late every Sunday. Yeah, yeah,
-
you strengthen. You strengthen once of all all the young
-
people here to see all like that. One now and
-
then somebody will whisper, or don't worry. He's a business man.
-
He makes a lot of money, so he gives to church.
-
So then they will learn. As long as you're rich,
-
you can come late. That's not what you want to
-
leave as a legacy. We are either examples that it
-
can be done or that it can't be done. Every
-
day as long as we have life, live as examples
-
in everything and that every time until God calls us home,
-
is there any one Ben, could you do me a favorite, brother, Ben,
-
could you stand up? Uh, and then come in front
-
of the camera so that you're not you're not hidden. Uh.
-
And and I think I chose you, brother bend because
-
you're aware your hand is white. No. No, you're here in
-
the middle of the middle, right in the middle, in
-
front of the Yeah. Okay, okay, right in the middle,
-
and go back a little bit after Rebecca after Becky. Okay, okay,
-
I hear you. Look at me, Look at me, brother,
-
you have white hair. You will be like Jesus to
-
me today. You will be like Jesus to me. Okay,
-
lift up your hand on your your your wanting to
-
welcome me home? Okay, yeah, yeah. Can you imagine Jesus
-
he has his hands up like that. He's trying to
-
welcome all of you home. No one day. How cool
-
is that you actually have a Do you know that
-
Christianity is not just a religion, it's a relationship, it's
-
a person. Almost almost every other religion, you don't have
-
someone to look at to walk to. You just have
-
a book or whatever it is that we don't even
-
have to have a book. After a while, it's not
-
even a book, not although we have the Bible, we
-
are looking at a person. And that's what many religions
-
don't have. A person who's still alive, not in the grave,
-
alive and waiting for you to come through the purlygates.
-
And there is really you know, Jesus. You are your
-
hands up, Jesus with an extra tie organized. Okay, okay, okay,
-
this is life. This is life. As I illustrate a
-
close I just want this illustration to stick in your mind. Okay,
-
I am supposed to better remainer. You are my Jesus.
-
Don't go anywhere, stay still. I never thought Jesus to
-
stay still low. I thought it was there up. Okay,
-
say stilla the whole time, the whole time. Okay, because
-
I'm supposed to. I'm like Peter. I'm walking on the
-
water to you, all right. That's where all my testimonies
-
are ahead of me. Okay, testimonist that ah, I'm testimonists.
-
I have to come and I'm walking towards you. My
-
end goal is you, Jesus.
-
My end goal. Okay. Now when you start, you're like
-
this empty space. You're a child, your baby, you eat
-
sleep and SHEI okay, and so not many decisions, and
-
then suddenly you enter life and you begin to make
-
your decisions. And as soon as you start making decisions,
-
that's when life really starts. Okay, this is how it happens. Right,
-
You're a teenager and you start having interest in the
-
opposite sex and it's a girlfriend boyfriend constitution. But you know,
-
I've been to church, ex church, my parents go to church.
-
And then suddenly you saw a really fine girl and
-
you decided that maybe, just maybe it's just sparked for
-
a while, because Jesus can wait one right, waited so
-
long a day, you said you come back soon, but
-
still not so soon. Now, yeah, so I what's your name? Ali? Hi?
-
Nice meeting you, I tell you a little bit shy.
-
And then suddenly, while this road, the narrow road that
-
leads to life, becomes a wider road because now this
-
relationship doesn't work, and you go to the next one
-
with me. Suddenly life has become a girlfriend finding mission.
-
And for some years you're not even on the road
-
leading to life. You're just hanging out in this wider road.
-
This is the narrow road, this is the wide road,
-
and you get stuck because oh, that girl looks really good.
-
Although her dad is here. Sorrya illustrative purposes. Okay, Now
-
he could be a girl and found a really good
-
looking guy. You know, wow your biceps while you have
-
biceps over your biceps. Wow. Okay, it doesn't work out.
-
Hurt And he said if going back to Jesus, you
-
hurt my Oh lord, why do you allow this? He
-
did allow you went. You were supposed to look at
-
him and go so no, you go to Maybe you
-
want something more spiritual? Now you know what I'm trying
-
to say. And for don't know how many years you're
-
going to be hanging out the side, right, you have
-
a choice to go like just the one, play along.
-
This is the one instead of going into the wider road.
-
Come with me. I'm walking towards him. You understand you
-
don't waste time law, bring along la. That's why you
-
have to bring a long lop person who has the
-
same faith. You know what. I've known a ssue as
-
a baby. That's how I can do that work. Okay,
-
thank you so much. Happy birthday? All right? What's it
-
going to be next? A job? Hey? Boss? I really
-
want this job? Can you give me this job? Please?
-
What work on Sunday? Can I guess, I guess because
-
pays so well, and you keep going in. And then
-
you got you got me from a staff to become supervisor,
-
and now I have to supervise people who walking on
-
Sunday can can go to church? Are yours? Do me?
-
And so I spend my whole time here for a while,
-
but broken up. And then now it's doubling. And then
-
after that this is what is? What is? Uh is marriage?
-
Maybe you know how many people are on fire for
-
God before their marriage? After marriage? Where is here? He
-
gone in? Gone is somewhere out of the wilderness, right wife?
-
Then it's what else? Promotion? And then it's kids. Another
-
guy that I've seen sech a baby, first kid. Ah
-
canna serve godla because my first kids up? My second
-
kid needs me. I would hug you right that? Okay,
-
my second, my third kid or that. Now now you
-
are totally drowned with kids. But you used to be
-
a good singer, used to be a good guitarist, used
-
to be a good picture. Where you now? But you
-
don't understand past My kids need me? No, no, no, no, hey, kid,
-
follow the day that is serving the lot? Okay, follow me? No,
-
I'm not asking to give up follow come, come, come
-
with me. I know sometimes we have to rush for
-
my Donald's at night and I end up at church
-
for press service. But but you gotta be okay, you
-
won't die one you won't die eating one more French
-
friesla Okay. I'm not saying that we must eat first
-
food every every night. No, no, no, there's there's a balance,
-
like how you know me and pass and on Sunday
-
we can't be together, but Monday I try to make
-
up for make up with you with me. But we
-
as long as we're going. And then you know, he
-
gets married, and then I become a father in law
-
and I now have to you know, he has a child,
-
and I become a grandfather, right, and I now go
-
into grandfather grandpa more. And now the gardening, you know,
-
Jesus is so so every my didn't talk, No, he
-
didn't talk with me. And then you go there and
-
there's business and then it's you know, I don't know
-
contracts and we don't end up there. But what the
-
beautiful thing about this is, guys, you can take these
-
along with you. I'm doing my doctorate now, hours and hours,
-
but you know, when I'm spending time the day I
-
was talking to doctor Lazarus because he's helping me with
-
the theseas. I met him now eight times, and every
-
time before we meet, we pray because I want to
-
make sure that God is with me and I am
-
with God. So I bring the thesis into this way
-
instead of being lost in the academic world. Some people
-
have been, oh, sorry, are doing my master's I can't
-
serve the lot. You lost the point of what life
-
is really about. Brother, thank you so much. Can't give
-
him a big, big head. Yeah, I hope that when
-
I arrived there with you, brother Ben, you would have said,
-
well done, my good and faithful servant. And I will
-
come before you like I would come before Jesus says,
-
Can I introduce to you my wife. We walk together
-
on this road leading to you. My three children. They're
-
all serving you because and this is my PhD. This
-
is my business. Lord, this is my lord. And you
-
see a big smile on Father's face right in the end, Father,
-
in the name of Jesus, My time has been up
-
like fifteen minutes ago. I know it, but I just
-
want to make sure that I leave with these precious people,
-
not just a word, but a visual, a visual that
-
they can see that they will know no matter what,
-
no matter what next year brings. Some of you are
-
considering different things. Maybe one or two of you here
-
are considering retirement. It's not the retirement, it's what will
-
you do with the retirement that will make you an
-
example of a person retired well for the Lord. It's
-
not about the retirement. It's not even about the job.
-
It's about what would you do with that job to
-
glorify God. It's not about the pay rise. It's what
-
would you do with that pay rise. It's not about
-
that bonus. It's not better you will get your visa,
-
a proof to migrate to Australia. It's what would you
-
do in Australia. How would you be the example in Australia?
-
Or are you just gonna melt into the Australian culture
-
and be oblivion, totally useless. So, Barz, you're so strong
-
a your word? Go there. I still go to church
-
for every Sunday? But is it all? Is that all?
-
Going to church every Sunday? Is that your destiny? Is
-
that all that God made you to become a church goer,
-
a seat warmer? Or is there something more that God
-
painstakingly made you, fearfully and wonderfully informed you in your mind.
-
This womb for what for a destiny gave birth to you?
-
When there are thousands of children dying every day out
-
of abortion, dying because of war, thousands and thousands dying
-
in Gaza dying. But you are alive? Why? Why? Because
-
you have a God who kept you alive, who loves you,
-
saved you for such a time as this. Is it
-
just your bank account that you want to populate? And
-
every week you look at your bank account. Who look,
-
it's one more zero, one more zero? What more? Is
-
that all you live for? Or is it? Are you living? Parents?
-
Are you living for your children? And the best gift
-
you can give them this example, The best give you
-
can give your son, your daughter is the marriage that
-
you have be an example in that marriage. I know
-
it's a high call. I myself and speaking with fear
-
and trembling because I know I too will find it
-
very hard to even keep up. But it's not about
-
keeping up. It's about keeping hot on fire. And as
-
long as you are continually on fire for God, you
-
will be able to do it. Don't just keep up.
-
Too many people keep up and then they fail. Keep up.
-
Keep up is not the goal. Keep hot on fire
-
for God is the goal. Love Jesus with all your heart, mind,
-
soul and strength. Make him your first love every time,
-
every day, wherever you are. It doesn't matter. It matters
-
that use everything that God has given you to become
-
an example and an inspiration for others to go. If
-
he can do it, I can too. If she can,
-
I can too. If pastor can I can do. If
-
my mom can, I can too. If my dad can,
-
I can too, If my grandpa can, even at seventy five,
-
what is my excuse. I have no excuse. I only
-
have examples to follow. Oh, come on, people, leave a
-
great legacy, even as young as if you're only fifteen.
-
Now you know sixteen. Don't worry about your age. You
-
can be an example to a twelve year old or
-
even to your friends. You don't have to settle for
-
second best. Don't have to settle for the norm. Father,
-
in the name of Jesus, why don't you stand to
-
your feet if you can, and everybody just join me
-
in worship. As we worship, we surrender our lives. Worship
-
is not just about singing It's about obedience. Worship is
-
about surrendering our lives to the Lord. Worship is not
-
about what comes out of your mouth alone, is what
-
is in your heart. Why don't you offer your lives
-
as a living sacrifice. Why do you do that? Right now?
-
God can turn water into wine. Some of you are
-
listening to me and you're having regret. That's why it
-
was so quiet. It was so quiet moment in this
-
place because you're saying, Pastor, I wish I had you
-
as my pastor when I was a young person. But Pastor, really,
-
my own wedding, you might say, was late by two hours. Pastor,
-
I feel so embarrassed now when you're talking. No, no, no, don't.
-
The goal of this message is not to make you embarrassed,
-
not to bring condemnation, no no, no, no no. This
-
message is to encourage you. Yes, we cannot change our past,
-
but we have a future. Jesus came to give us
-
a future and a hope. Young people here, you have
-
the best life right because you can listen to this
-
early and make a choice to make a difference. Older
-
people here, I know you know, Pasta. I'm ready sixty
-
plus seventy plus, hey, hey, we are looking at our
-
seventy plus for example. I have not been there yet,
-
so you are there already showed me how he's done. Brother,
-
show me how is done. Sister. You can. If the
-
fire of God is on you, you will be such
-
an example at your age. Don't wish that you another age.
-
Please stop wishing. Oh I wish I was younger. No,
-
just be yourself. Be who you are, be your age,
-
but be an example.
-
We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
