You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Do you believe that you are a prized possession of God? Yes, okay,
-
only some of you believe that. Some of you, like
-
I don't think so, right, And this is found in
-
the world of God.
-
This is in the Word of God. And I will
-
show it to you shortly.
-
And you know it's important for us to understand this,
-
and because it will.
-
Set you for this year. Is that okay?
-
It's gonna set you for your twenty twenty for how
-
you want to live it. It's gonna be different from
-
twenty twenty four, right, but it's important how we set
-
it up, all right?
-
Okay, So let's go to the next light. Let's go now.
-
The words set apart, set apart, right, It's found in
-
this Hebrew word called kardash. Can you say this, kardash kardash?
-
Okay? Great? You let one he Brew it today haradash.
-
Now, many times in the Bible you will see in
-
different parts.
-
What does it mean to be set apart? Okay?
-
You can see it's to content create. How many of
-
you have read this word in the Bible before? To
-
content create.
-
Do you know what it means to say, oh, you
-
are a clever st todent?
-
Okay, to set apart? What other usage is there to prepare?
-
Do you know? Preparation is also part of being set apart?
-
All right?
-
What else to dedicate? Have you ever dedicated anything to
-
the Lord in your life?
-
Let me children? You know what.
-
We dedicate our children, right, but we never dedicate ourselves.
-
Right You're like, okay, my children can go save the Lord, but.
-
What about me? Oh? Okay, getting hot sooner? Think about it? Okay,
-
I mean I'm gonna think about it.
-
Right. If you've never dedicated anything to the Lord before,
-
what are you going to dedicate to the Lord this year?
-
Okay?
-
That is my call to action for each of you
-
right now? You know the thing is right, If you
-
want to be effective for the Lord, you have to.
-
Set apart yourself for the Lord. Right.
-
So, if you've never dedicated anything of your life, any
-
part of your life to God before, I think it's
-
time to start, all right, Okay, to separate that is
-
also an act of being setting apart, all right.
-
So when you you know, it's like I always use
-
this analogy. You know, some of you at home.
-
You have your normal everyday plates and dishes that you use, yes, right,
-
the plastic one that you know broken here and there,
-
but it's okay, we use every day, right. But you
-
know that you have this special china where, right, very
-
special and glass and antique you know find china. Do
-
you use it every day in a sense? No, but
-
you set it apart right for special occasion because it's
-
precious and it's expensive. That's how you set things apart.
-
You separate it out. You don't put it together with
-
everything else. Right, Okay, you can go for anything in
-
your life, all right?
-
And finally to be holy.
-
Okay, Now let's go to some scriptures and the first
-
time this was used in the Bible. You know when
-
the first time this word kardash was used?
-
Of course you don't know.
-
I will tell you this is actually first time this
-
concept of setting apart came from God.
-
All right? This is not your idea, not men's idea.
-
This is God's idea.
-
So this morning we want to go and understand what
-
does God want?
-
Yeah? Is that? Okay? Do you want to know what
-
God wants? Oh? Actually we're not very interested. No, we
-
only know what we want.
-
We sometimes we come to God and we say, God,
-
you tell me about my life. God, you know, tell
-
me about my life? And God tell me about which
-
job actually take?
-
How many of us actually say, God, what do you think? God?
-
What which one would you want me to take?
-
Right?
-
And as we build our relationship with God.
-
I think we need to get into a place where it.
-
Is a real relationship. It's not just about you, right.
-
And many times when we put our focus on us,
-
then our focus is not.
-
On God anymore. All right?
-
Okay, So let's think about the first time that this
-
word set upons.
-
This is word kardash.
-
Okay, in English, there are many words to try to
-
describe the usage of it, but kardash is the same
-
Hebrew word again and again. All right, So let's read
-
the first time is being used in the Bible wage
-
Genesis chapter two.
-
Is it early and on? Oh? Very early in the Bible?
-
God had this idea already.
-
Okay, So let's read Genesis chapter two, verse three. Let's
-
read this together, right? Three two one? God bless the
-
seventh day and sanctified it because in it he rested
-
from all his work which he God had created and made.
-
So what is the word for set apart.
-
Here, sanctified kadash is sanctified here. What do you understand
-
by this word scientified special something that you set apart? Right?
-
So I'm very blessed to know that all of you
-
here set apart your Sunday.
-
Amen, And that's why you're here. You have made okay.
-
So it's maybe it's wrong for me to say none
-
of you have said apart something. We are all here
-
means we are learning the principle of setting apart some things,
-
meaning Sundays is untouchable.
-
By other things. Because why God also set things apart.
-
You know, God work for six days, right, and he
-
says on the seventh day he rested, and he sanctified
-
this special day and until today, this principle needs to
-
be practiced by all of us.
-
Right.
-
Is there a setting a part of a day where
-
you're not focused on trying to make ends meet or
-
you know, doing different.
-
Things, but you're just saying, God fully, my focus on
-
this day is for you. It doesn't matter where it's
-
a Sunday, Saturday, Friday. Whenes say it.
-
Doesn't matter, okay, is setting apart one day of the
-
week to say God, this is for you all right,
-
So sanctification is setting apart. Okay, let's go to the
-
next usage. Let's go let's see the next verse. Now, oh, okay,
-
I love this verse. Let's go to Exodus chapter thirteen.
-
So this is all in the first parts of the Bible.
-
All right, we saw Genesis, now we saw Exodus. It's
-
used a lot in the book of Exodus. Exodus chapter thirteen,
-
Verse two, he says, this right, consecrate to me all
-
the firstborn. Whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel,
-
both of men and bees, it is.
-
Yours, No, it is God.
-
What can we learned from this principle? Why did God
-
want the firstborn? Why do you think the first bone
-
is special?
-
Any idea? Why do you think God wants the firstborn? Wow?
-
I love Daniels. Can you please give him a plus?
-
You hear it? He says, because it is the best.
-
Yeah.
-
Oh, then or the second bond? Bond?
-
I oh, howladar. Sorry, I'm also second born. Okay, I'm
-
not firstborn. So there's second child, that child?
-
What about me?
-
No, this is firstborn to the mother. All right, every
-
animal sacrifice. Do you know that God is always looking
-
after the first in the whole Bible. Right when you
-
look at the history, there is always can and able.
-
But you see, even though there is this principle of
-
setting apart the first bond, then God also changes around.
-
And since the youngest yourself the older, right, so guess what, younger, children, you.
-
Also go apart to play?
-
Okay, don't no escape on not in God, there is
-
no escape. But you see the principle of first. And
-
do you know what tiding means? What is tidying to you?
-
Setting about what your first fruits? First?
-
It's your first ten percent, not your last and percent?
-
Children?
-
God, Yes, it's like whenever you get your salary, your
-
guardian for the man, the first thing.
-
That you do is you set apart for God.
-
That is the principle. Do you see that now? We
-
understand that in tidying. And you know, I think we
-
heard this before as well. People say, but what if
-
you know I cannot afford to give anything?
-
You know, I'm already earning very low. It's a principle.
-
And do you know that in God's kingdom, when you
-
practice the principle, you will read the harvest. Yeah, it's
-
not so much about whether you're earning ten thousand ringgate
-
or you're earning one hundred ringgate is the principle, right,
-
a principle saying God, I you know why I've learned.
-
I've learned that it's not so much the legalistic part
-
of all. It must be ten percent. It's your heart.
-
God is looking into your heart and he's using that
-
to say, Okay, I set this up to test your heart.
-
Do you know that God is testing us? This? Probably
-
don't lie, writy God, what you must test us?
-
I'm sure you know that.
-
In the story of Abraham, as he was offering up Isaac, Hello,
-
ready to kill his first born and that time only child,
-
and God said, you know, out of this child, I
-
will give you the nations. You know, you look at
-
the stars and that will be your dissenters like, hello,
-
now you want to kill my.
-
Only child, true Sarah. But Abraham just obeyed.
-
It wasn't obedience to God's word. That's what the commandments are.
-
And then as he was doing it, God says, okay,
-
get read.
-
Now I know you're serious with me a church of God?
-
Are you serious with God or Earth? Do you want
-
to see breakthroughs? You know, as we were worshiping earlier
-
on you know. God just told me, hey, let's get serious.
-
We got this yere. I think God wants to set
-
you free. Amen. God wants to set.
-
Us free from our old ways. God wants to set
-
us anew in His ways. And to do that we
-
need to have this principle of setting apart.
-
Do you know?
-
God can want God can do the breakthrough for you,
-
but you will have to set yourself apart first.
-
He cannot set you apart if you don't set yourself apart.
-
So you guess what. There is a responsibility. There is
-
a choice that we need to make now. Right, So
-
would you are you willing? What else is the first
-
first fruit of what you have? Easy to talk about money?
-
Right? Your salary or allowance?
-
Students, you also get money right, it's also your income. Right?
-
Are you learning the principle of setting apart for the Lord?
-
Another one that I want to touch on your time? Time?
-
How are you setting apart your first fruit for the Lord?
-
When is your first fruit of your time for the Lord?
-
Can you tell me.
-
When you first wake up right now, when you come
-
into an awareness and like.
-
Oh this is a new day, then what is your
-
first fruit? It's your first I.
-
Would say, even your first fifteen to twenty minutes of
-
the day.
-
How are you setting that apart for the Lord?
-
You think about your routine right now, what do you
-
do the first ten minutes of your time?
-
Some people say, go brush tea, right, go toiler first. Okay, okay,
-
do all that first. But then what after that?
-
What?
-
Tell me? Tell me all guilty?
-
Right, because the first thing that we will reach out
-
to is our and phone. Then we want to see
-
what's going on the whole night that you were sleeping. Right,
-
what's viral? Now?
-
What do I miss out? I don't know?
-
Okay, this is your choice, this is your life. I
-
can't see it, but the Lord sees it. So if
-
you want to get serious and say, God, I really
-
want to set apart myself for you, they say, you
-
think about it, right, like this year if you want
-
it to be different, you want to be different just
-
for you? Or do you want to really seriously take
-
charge and take territory for the Kingdom of God. It
-
is a choice. It's a choice because we can go
-
through life same, you know, and guess what, after thirty years,
-
you're still the same.
-
So let's set apart this year, right, set it a
-
right man said it. All right, let's move on.
-
Let's move on to dedicate hah, okay, let's read Exodus
-
chapter nineties. I told you all right, this is wor
-
kardash comes out so many times because it's God's idea.
-
We're still in Exodus, Exodus, chapter nineteen, Verse three, verse ten.
-
It says, then the Lord say to Moses, go to
-
the people and consecrpt them today and tomorrow, and let
-
them wash their clothes.
-
What you learn from this? What is part of setting apart?
-
What is it being clean? Anyone comes without wearing wash clothes?
-
No? Right?
-
Why why is cleanliness so important?
-
You know? If you're very old school, right, there's this
-
verse that say not verse no, sorry, Not's a proverb
-
that says a cleanliness is next to godliness.
-
Jade means if you want to be godly, right, you
-
got to be clean. Are you clean or not? Oh? Yes, okay,
-
says the one who showered this morning.
-
Are if you don't shower this morning, it's okay, you
-
can repent later.
-
No, no, but okay, let's be serious. Why is cleanliness
-
so important to God? Yeah? Yeah, okay? Where are they now?
-
Right?
-
Do you? Okay?
-
So exodus, right is where they just came out where
-
they just came out of Egypt, right, they're in the
-
wilderness of sin right now?
-
Yes, all right?
-
And and so they are in the desert place. And it's
-
what have anyone experienced any desert place before?
-
Oh? Noah? But what can you imagine about a desert does? Does?
-
And the children of Israel they got a bullet train,
-
right that they can bring them through the Promised Land
-
or they got grabbed. No, those days they had to
-
walk walk with all their animals and produce and you know, cattle,
-
sheep there go and guess what what do you accumulate
-
as you walk in a place as full of us?
-
It's there that how many of you are like really
-
clean people like really like you know, oh okay, only
-
one now, only elder man, But the rest of you
-
are like okay, it's to okay in my household, right,
-
there's something called a tolerance level.
-
Right if you you cannot had already right.
-
Okay, there you have to clean the house. Okay, this
-
is between me and other people. Okay, so all the years, right,
-
or it's it's sometimes very hard, no no tolerance. Other
-
neighbors like cannot one back of that must cleaner ready, right,
-
So for us we can close eyes to many things,
-
but sometimes can already right. Cleliness, you know, it's it's
-
a mindset. You know that mindset. It's a cleanliness. And
-
in those days, right, if you want to come before
-
the Lord, do you know that you have to go
-
and bathe and change your clothes? And you know what
-
that means because in the act of bathing, right, is
-
very very sacred because there's no water in the desert.
-
Hello, No, what God, God, you know got running pipes?
-
Is it? Got swimming pool?
-
Can be?
-
No, don't have water is a precious resource.
-
And when they shower and when they take their butt
-
and they change your clothes, they're saying, now I am
-
ready to meet with my God. Do you prepare yourself
-
that way when you come before the Lord? It's something
-
to think about, right, How am I setting and preparing
-
myself before I meet the Lord? And of course this
-
is an outward expression, but there's an inward thing that's
-
going on as all. Right, God seas our heart. God
-
sees whether we're really preparing or not to come before him.
-
You know I heard of this testimony or not?
-
Estimia this this lady, right, she's she used to attend
-
my homes.
-
She's still attending my home.
-
So she said, when she prepares an offering, now now
-
everyone online on it.
-
Right, very easy, right, threat, that's it.
-
No need to prepare anything in before this, we all
-
had to give offering physically, right, give your cash. I
-
wonder what is our heart when you prepare it? So
-
this lady she's us very interesting in her faith, very childlike.
-
So she says, right, when I give an offering to
-
the Lord, right, I prepare it. I make sure that
-
iron the note so there's crisp, and then I give
-
it unto the Lord. Wow, talk about preparation.
-
No, you're thinking that har was there. It's not about
-
the agg but it's about the heart. Do you see that?
-
So how are you preparing you know, whatever that you're
-
setting apart for the Lord, whether it's yourself, your time,
-
your money, how are you giving it unto the lord?
-
Is it very chin chaichi?
-
Oh?
-
Yeah?
-
God, offering time twenty cents loose change. Let's not preparing, right,
-
Let's not setting apart something for the Lord. And if
-
you want to give something special to someone special, you
-
would think about it. You would really, you know, wrap
-
things around it, you would really prepare because it's a gift. Amen,
-
it's a gift. Now I want to read to you something.
-
Remember I said earlier that you are a gift. God
-
sees you as a price possession. Okay, let me go
-
through that. Wait, let me see if there's anything else.
-
Let's go on to the Okay, another one. I exert
-
us ninety. Let's do this first.
-
Exert Us nineteen verse twenty three. Are we are we? Okay?
-
We are still learning about the concept and the principle
-
of setting apart, so that at the end of the
-
day you will know how you can set yourself apart
-
onto the lot. All right, Just now we talk about
-
cleanliness is one part of it. We talk about consecration.
-
All right.
-
Let's look at Exodus nineteen twenty three. He says, but
-
Moses say to the lot. Okay, So this is when
-
the people told Moses to go up to Mount Sinai,
-
right where he was gonna give the ten commitments. Moses
-
said to the Lord, the people cannot come up to
-
Mount Sinai, for you warn us, who warn you? God
-
warn saying set bounds around the mountains and consecrated. Part
-
of consecration is creating boundaries. Are they boundaries in your life,
-
my dear friends.
-
Any boundaries or not? Or anything goes? Because if anything goes, then.
-
You are not set apart. You're just like everyone else.
-
You're just like everyone else. There's no difference if you
-
don't create certain boundaries in your life. Okay, I'm gonna
-
talk a little bit about boundaries in a short all
-
but let's move on, all right. And Exodus twenty eight says,
-
remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy? What are
-
the things in your life that is holy? What is
-
holy in your life?
-
Think about it.
-
Life is not just routine. Monday to Friday, I do everything.
-
Then Saturday is clean house, Sunday is churchday.
-
And then you go on the cycle like that.
-
There is this sense of what is holy in my
-
life every day?
-
What is holy? Yes? Are you able to say God?
-
Yes, this is the time, This is a space, this
-
is a place where I.
-
Keep holy before you? Amen, Maga, Let's move on. Let's
-
move on, all right.
-
So we spoke about this very interesting right, This act
-
of setting apart has this thing to it.
-
Right.
-
Exodus twenty eight, Verse three says this, so you shall
-
speak to all who are gifted artisans.
-
All right, So got it? You know this is the
-
reason why God gave us gift things, and it's very
-
clearly shown here. He says, whom I feel with the
-
spirit of wisdom.
-
Wow, all those of you who are talented gifted, can
-
you praise God because it is Him who has given
-
you the wisdom, not yourself. Okay, talent, everything that we have.
-
Comes from the Lord.
-
You know, you doing well in your world, you being
-
able to get that deal breakthrough is the Lord, you know.
-
Don't think that why very good?
-
Ah, It is the favor of the Lord that is
-
with you, and that's why you could go.
-
You know you can achieve success.
-
It is we must remember where all this comes from, right,
-
And so that's why this process of setting apart is
-
constantly saying God, this is from you, this.
-
Is all you, and this is for you. We forget
-
that part. We always forget that this goes back to Him.
-
We are setting our sells for who for a neighbor.
-
It's for God. Yeah.
-
He says that whom I feel with the spirit of wisdom,
-
that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him. Now,
-
Aaron was a priest, right priest that was appointed by God,
-
and that he may minister to me as priest. But
-
you see, just because he's anointed by the Lord, it
-
doesn't mean that he just comes up like that.
-
There needs to be an anointing. There needs to be
-
a preparation.
-
Again, when I talk about set apart, there's this whole
-
idea of preparing. And that's why we always tell our
-
worship team, Hey, before you can lead people into the
-
worship of God, you need to be worshiping at home first. Yes, extreme,
-
anyone who's leading, anyone who's chairing, anyone who's serving, ex kids,
-
even on sound. Do you know that it's not just
-
a technical skill that you're displayed or using. You're serving
-
the Lord. And so for therefore the act of preparation.
-
Are you worshiping at home? That becomes key, you know why,
-
because that's the one that's gonna make the difference, that's
-
gonna make the difference between us being here being filled
-
with the spirit of God. And that's what I really
-
pray for every Sunday that we come that this place
-
is not just a physical space, it's.
-
A spiritual atmosphere.
-
Amen it's a spiritual atmosphere that when we come into it,
-
we're gonna break bonds.
-
We're gonna set people free. Healing is gonna take place. Amen.
-
Do you believe it or not? Or do you come
-
to church just to feel up the seas? What fall?
-
Then just go home? You must come. You're expecting God.
-
You are going to move in the spirit because we
-
are battling not against flash, but against principalities.
-
Hello, can I tell you that that's very real?
-
If you don't see your physical eyes, then I pray
-
God will open your spiritual eyes.
-
Do you know?
-
Sometimes we are so bound by our habits. We're bound
-
by our unforgiveness. We are bound by you know, laziness.
-
That's a spirit you're bound.
-
Can a Christian be bound? Oh? Yes, oh yes, we
-
need to be set free.
-
We need to set free so that we can go
-
and be the person the being that God wants us
-
to be. A man. I don't want us to like
-
live back in the you know. And sometimes it's very
-
easy for me as well, right to fall under the
-
excuse of but this is who I am, this is
-
my background. I don't know anything better. You know, it's
-
so easy to fall into the excuse. But when we
-
come into this place of faith, we are in the
-
business of faith.
-
Church. It's all about faith. And I pray that every
-
time you come to church, every time.
-
You leave, your faith arise. Amen, it's no longer just
-
like it's not a rational thing.
-
Guys. Faith is not rational, it's irrational, but it is
-
of God. What a gift, Amen, Our faith is gift
-
is you know.
-
It's no matter how challenging your circumstances are, no matter
-
how difficult, how you might think that everything is lost, hope.
-
This is where you get home. Church, the people of God,
-
the Word of God, the Word of God.
-
You know, there's something special about corporate worship, about being
-
together like this that God. You know, God calls the
-
people to congregate together at the Temple of God. There's
-
a reason, there's a reason why we are here as
-
a corporate worship because God is pleased with this, and His.
-
Presence manifests strongly in this place. Amen.
-
So I pray that every time now you will have
-
a different mindset as you come, as you go for
-
your home our small groups. Do you think it's just
-
a time of fellowship, I pray it will not be
-
so because fellowship will not set you free. Fellowship will
-
not save you or your neighbor. Oly Jesus and the
-
Spirit of God, do you know what I long for?
-
I really pray that science and wonders will follow the
-
preaching of His word. Amen. I'm not a person who
-
says all signs and one that's long gone. Today we
-
just go by the rationale. No, I want to see
-
the dead rise. I want to see the lame heal
-
can walk and praise the Lord.
-
Do you do you desire that or not? Do you
-
want to dud? It starts with a desire in mind.
-
We don't see it yet, but let's pray. Let's pray
-
that when people come they say, I'm sick, you know,
-
just have the healing.
-
Our prayer is because they believe. Do you believe or not?
-
Do you believe that God can do the miraculous? That's supernatural.
-
Don't under the natural, because if we are natural, then
-
we are not different from anyone else.
-
What's the difference? No difference? Right?
-
But God has caught us out of darkness into his
-
marvelous life.
-
So are we living as though we are full of light? People?
-
God, we need to as you go back Chinese or
-
this year. Let you be the light. Don't just be
-
anyone else. Now, let it be a difference in you. Amen,
-
How can you be that different?
-
Think about it? Assignment for you this week as you
-
are together with.
-
Your family, some of them are not believers yet, how
-
will you make a difference to them?
-
How will they experience you differently? Amen? Hallelia, let's go.
-
Let's move on.
-
And this whole process of scientifish scientification can only be
-
done by the Lord.
-
Amen.
-
He says this, There I will with the children of Israel,
-
and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by our good works,
-
shall be sanctified by how much I give to the church,
-
and shall be sanctified by God's glory. So I pray
-
that every day you're going to see God's glory, because
-
if you truly want to be sanctified, set apart for God.
-
Then you have to meet with him. Do you know
-
how Moses?
-
Do you know when Moses went up to the mountain
-
and he came down from the mountain.
-
What did they have to put over his face? They
-
have to put a real wye.
-
Because he was shining so bright. They're like, WHOA, I
-
can't Tahan. You know, I can't even see Moses face
-
to face because he was reflecting the glory of God.
-
Wow, how about that? Children of God?
-
You know as you go, you know, in your mountain,
-
you go and meet with God at the mountain. You
-
come down from that place and when people look at
-
you're like, whoa so bright? Something different about you, And
-
that's what's going to get them interested, because you're different
-
like no one else.
-
I'm not talking about faesk induccine. Okay. The glory, the
-
glory Oh God, is what sets us apart. Amen. Imen.
-
Now let's go on.
-
Now, there's three parts that I want to give you
-
with this whole setupart right.
-
The first one is our identity.
-
What is being set apart? It speaks about our identity.
-
Amen.
-
Okay, Let's read Exodus chapter Let me see yah, Exodus chapter.
-
Where is my verse? Okay?
-
Let's go to Exodus chapter nineteen. Okay, are we there?
-
Exodus chapter nineteen versus. I'm gonna read from verse one
-
or give you the context of it. In the third month,
-
after the two of Israel had gone out of the
-
land of Egypt, right, remember this one fresh out of
-
the land of Egypt. On the same day they came
-
to the wilderness of Sinai. All right, not sin Sinai,
-
wilderness of Sinai, for they had departed from Refferdin had
-
come to the wilderness of Sinai and camp in the wilderness.
-
So Israel came there before the mountain, and Moses went
-
up to God. And the Lord called to him from
-
the mountain, saying, thus you shall say to the house
-
of Jacob and tell the children of Israel.
-
This is the word of the Lord. You have seen
-
what I did to.
-
The Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagle's wings
-
and brought you to myself.
-
Wow. God wants to bring you to himself Verse five.
-
Now, therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and
-
keep my covenant, then you shall be a.
-
You shall be a. You shall be a.
-
Is this my word? It is God's word? Whose idea
-
is this? God says, you will be.
-
My special treasure. Wow.
-
Can you tell your neighbor you are God's special treasure.
-
We don't think of it sometimes, but you know that
-
we are. Every soul, every person is precious to God.
-
And God says, you know, you know when he pronounced
-
it right, it's real. Do you believe God's word?
-
It's truth? Right, it is a truth?
-
And this is He says, you shall be a special
-
treasure to me above all people. Whoa isn't that setting
-
you apart? It means that you're not like the rest? Okay,
-
it means you're not like the eight billion people on earth.
-
It means you are special.
-
You'll elevated for all the earth is mind, is the
-
earth the lords?
-
Yes or not? It is? But you will be above
-
because you're God's special treasure. Let's move on to verse.
-
But do you know there's a condition there? I know
-
sometimes we go I'm you know there's this whole part
-
about unconditional love of God.
-
Yes, all right, I just want to bring some balance
-
to it.
-
Is that Okay, God really loves us, he does. But
-
there is a condition in this being God's special treasure.
-
What is that condition?
-
If there is an if you're my dear friends, if
-
you read the word of God, there is an if
-
so meaning if you if you.
-
Don't follow this part, what happens? You will not?
-
Yes, it's either if you follow or if you don't.
-
Follow, yes or not? Is it very clear? Then no
-
one will notice?
-
Right?
-
If you follow.
-
If you obey my commandments, then you shall be. So
-
we need to ask ourselves are we obeying the word
-
of God? Are we obeying all the commandments? But maybe
-
first you have to ask yourself, what are the commandments?
-
If I don't know the commandments, how to obey?
-
Right? Okay?
-
So think about that, think about it all right now.
-
Many of us when we talk about identity, we like
-
to preach from first bitter to nine?
-
Right? And what is first bitter to nine? Okay?
-
Or you know the not child d but it's not there.
-
You are the child of God, but it's not. From
-
first Peter to nine, it talks about you shall be
-
a kingdom of priest you shall be a royal priesthood,
-
holy nation.
-
Yes, yes, yes, are you sort of familiar with that
-
verse first Peter to nine.
-
But he didn't start from there, not from Peter. It
-
started in Exodus. Shall we read that. Let's move on
-
right in verse six Exodus nineteen. And you shall be
-
to me a kingdom of priests, a holy nation. These
-
are the words which you shall speak to the children
-
of Israel.
-
Wow.
-
Do you know that at the beginning when God called
-
the children of Israel, he already told them you are
-
going to be my priest, you are going to be
-
my holy nation. Do you know?
-
God set them free? And this is a phrase I
-
want you to think about.
-
God set us free so he can set us apart. Yes,
-
he set us free from the bondage of our scene,
-
from the bondage of our past, so that we can live.
-
Our own lives. Is it.
-
No, The setting apart, the setting free of us is
-
so that we can now be set apart for God's usage.
-
Before we can be set apart, we need to be
-
set free for us. Amen, are there free people in
-
the house? Are you freeing the Lord? And if you're
-
not free, later we will pray. And I want to
-
give time. I want to make room for prayer. All right,
-
I won't take too long. I feel people need to
-
be set free. There's things in our lives that you know,
-
only you know, but God knows.
-
I don't know it.
-
I really sense God really wants to set people free today.
-
Whatever it is, you know, it's own mindset. Is it
-
a habit?
-
Sometimes we have a habit of lying that's also a habit.
-
And God wants to set us free. God wants to
-
set us free from our sickness and our pain. Do
-
you want to accept your sickness and pain forever? You
-
want to just leave all? Yeah, I'm already you know
-
and accept it. But God says I came to kill
-
your diseases. I came to set you free, forgive your
-
iniquity and your trespasses.
-
That's what God wants to do. Amen. We don't have
-
to live under our circumstances. Amen. As children of God,
-
we are.
-
Called overcome us. We are not living under our Circumstansus.
-
We overcome our circumstances.
-
Amen. I want you to have that mindset.
-
I want you to say, this year Lord twenty five,
-
no matter what news comes, no matter what price they increase, they.
-
Remove subsidy for patrol.
-
You know, things are gonna increase, gas price, electricity price,
-
doesn't matter, whatever.
-
Comes, I will overcome. I shall overcome in the name
-
of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. That is what I
-
want to prepare you for this year. Guys.
-
You know why, because it's not going to be easy
-
this year. This year it's fraught with challenges. You want
-
to talk about political you know, a time and the
-
season of our life. This is probably the most shakeable error.
-
Anything that can be shaken will be shaken. Yeah, Jesus
-
has said that anything that can be shaken will be shaken.
-
So we've got to prepare ourselves for the shaking.
-
There are things in our life that God is saying,
-
I need to shake this out of you so that
-
I can set you apart to see that there is
-
going to be a greater plan that God has.
-
Imen. Do you know, as people of God, right when
-
we know the Bible, we know the word of God,
-
we don't have to be afraid. Why are you afraid?
-
We are afraid because we don't know what's the end.
-
But can I tell you God told us the end already?
-
Amen? Do you know what's the end? Okay, you're not sure.
-
I don't know whether I mean the church or what.
-
Do you know what's the end? What is the end?
-
Jesus will come back and he will restore everything in order.
-
Amen.
-
It might not be your lifetime, it might not be
-
your children's lifetime, but he will come and I.
-
Believe it with all my heart. Everything that is not
-
right he will set right. How about that?
-
Jesus says, right when he's back, and that when there's
-
a new heaven and a new earth.
-
There will be no more pain, no more sorrows, no
-
more tears. Hey, hello, that's.
-
Our promise, you know, that's our inheritance, that's our identity.
-
So we shouldn't be bogged down by like everyone else. Amen.
-
Our identity speaks of who we are. Amen.
-
There's a question around this. Let's go to the question.
-
Our identity is what sets you apart? So this is
-
one question for you. What sets you apart? How are
-
you different from others?
-
Right?
-
I mentioned this already in your identity? You think about
-
it every day. Do they know you as just a teacher?
-
Do they know you as just a manager, as a staff?
-
What do they know of you? Or they will say
-
this is not just another teacher. This teacher is different, different,
-
This is not just a son or a daughter. This
-
is a different daughter, a different spirit. Amen. And we
-
want to be different for the Lord. All right.
-
So that's our identity now being set apart, Like I said, right,
-
once you're set free. Now you're set apart. That's your
-
identity now, right? What is our identity?
-
Again?
-
In for Speter Tonight, kingdom off priest a holy nation?
-
What do priest do intercede and pray?
-
So children of God, this year your prayer life will
-
be different.
-
It's gotta go on another level.
-
You know, if you started your Christian life as I
-
give thanks for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and that is
-
the amount of prayer you have.
-
Can I encourage you to take it one notch up?
-
Can I notot? Level it up? A little bit? Level
-
it up?
-
Remember we were setting apart our first fruit in the
-
morning for the Lord.
-
What are you gonna do? Pray? Yes, pray? Do you know?
-
You know sometimes I battle with this myself as well, right,
-
this whole prayer. Then sometimes we have this mindset where
-
I pray.
-
So many times, I pray for ten years already nothing happened.
-
We get this courage, let me say, oh yeah, prayer
-
doesn't work. Correct, not prayer may not work. It's either
-
because we are praying for the wrong things. And we
-
can pray for the wrong things for ten years and
-
still pray for the wrong things.
-
The only way we know that is of God is
-
when we pray according to His will and his word. Right,
-
his will and his word that one needs to be evident.
-
God says, Jesus came to seek and save the loss.
-
So if you're praying for the loss. You're on the
-
right track. Don't give up, don't give up. Don't give
-
up yet. Jesus came for them, and so our prayer
-
needs to be targeted. Pray for your neighbors, Pray for
-
your parents by name. Remember it said God, I need
-
to break through, you know, prayer right? Sometimes the image
-
that I have right, it's like, you know, there's a war.
-
Do you know what great Wall of China? Even if
-
you've not been there, can you imagine how great that
-
wall is? But every time you prayer, you're hitting against it.
-
Do you know that after many, many, many, many, many
-
persistent prayers, there's going to be a crack? Yeah, it
-
doesn't happen overnight. Right, cracks in your house? Anyone got
-
cracks in your house?
-
Oh? Yes?
-
Then you're saying, how come they they never built properly? Right,
-
my roof is leaking now, Okay. Things that you want
-
them to build properly, they never be properly. And then
-
there's a crack. Why Because there is a constant, persistent
-
rain or whatever it is that keeps on coming at it.
-
Do you know our prayer is like that, We keep
-
coming at it, we keep coming.
-
At it, against this disease, against it's saying that we
-
keep coming and we say God, no, no, you are above,
-
we are not beneath. God, Your name is more powerful
-
than cancer. We keep going at it, and one day
-
it will break, Amen.
-
And Jesus and received that.
-
Those of you who are praying for something say God,
-
I'm gonna continue until something breaks. I'm gonna pray until
-
something breaks.
-
Amen. And sometimes the breaking is us. Yeah, he breaks
-
us first. And that's not a pleasant It's not something
-
that you want, right.
-
But do you know that anything that is worthwhile is
-
time spent on your knees, anything that is special, anything
-
that is important, you will go down on your knees
-
for if you're desperate enough. So the question is are
-
you desperate? Are you desperate for the things that matters most?
-
You know when everything else.
-
Is gone and done, and that's the right.
-
Would have everything that you have put your time to,
-
would it have been useful? Did you build for yourself
-
a kingdom of heaven or did you build for yourself
-
a kingdom on earth? Right? Which is our destiny? And
-
the question is what are you putting yourself to? What
-
are you busy with?
-
Church? What are you busy with? I know we are
-
busy with work.
-
Yes, I understand, But in your workplace that can be sanctified,
-
that can be set apart. Yes, do you know that
-
your work is set apart for the Lord? It doesn't
-
matter whether you know. Sometimes it's this mindset and want
-
to correct that mindset, the mindset that if all you're
-
in full time your work is more holy. Oh you're
-
in business that one less holy?
-
Is that true? Is that true? No? It's not true, because.
-
What set apart is you, not what you do.
-
Do you know you can be a very corrupted elder
-
or pastor of a church. You can't. You don't believe me.
-
Many examples have gone before us. Sadly, you can be
-
the best geologian, not everything about a Bible, and still
-
commit adultery. It's true. Hello, I'm being very real with you.
-
So it's not so much about your vocation what you do,
-
it's who you are children of God. Being set apart
-
is who you are. I would rather have a very
-
honest butcher than a selfish leader, pastor whatever it is
-
true or not, And God will see I'm doing my
-
work with honesty instead of filled with deceit.
-
And lies and you know, trying to pump yourself up.
-
Are you enough of that?
-
La, don't put people on the pedestal, put God on
-
the pedestal.
-
Amen, don't, don't don't look up.
-
I mean, yes, we honor and we respect great men
-
and women who are before us, but don't idolize them
-
because you and I, just like them, can easily fall,
-
can easily fall. And that's why we need to humble ourselves.
-
I'm speaking to my leaders here. We need to humble ourselves.
-
Right.
-
There's this sense of like saying, God, I don't want
-
to judge others because next one could be me. I
-
could be the next one if I don't set myself apart,
-
if I don't obey God's commandment, guess what I'm gonna
-
work into the devil's trap easily easily. Okay, set about
-
how are you setting and do you know this process
-
of setting apart?
-
It's not just one time once a year, it's.
-
Not it's every day, right, which is my last point.
-
First one is our identity. Our identity is we are
-
kingdom of priests, a holy nation. Think about that as
-
your identity. Do people see you.
-
As whoa this one. It's a real prisn this one
-
and this lady was very holy.
-
And sometimes we don't want to associate ourselves be holy.
-
You know, you're like, yeah, very very Christina, very Chynna,
-
you're very common.
-
Yes, so one right, so holy.
-
This one cannot do that, one cannot do this, one
-
cannot touch Sometimes we are like, yeah, we're piscey pis
-
s you know, shy. I don't want other people to
-
know this, but but this is our identity. I will
-
already say, oh, this person cannot touch this, this person
-
cannot do bright because it's their principle. I know them
-
as a righteous Wow. How nice if your clique can
-
tell you this is an upright man, this is a
-
righteous woman. WHOA, how about that God just successful, not
-
very good, not just very good.
-
We excel, you know what I'm saying.
-
Not it's not just your skills. Something that wowsome is
-
this person is set upon.
-
Exactly. Wow.
-
People go like, whoa, this person cannot touch the Sundays
-
one at least for the first two.
-
Hours because it's for good.
-
After that work work understand, dead lines, I understand, but
-
do you know that we need to continue to have
-
this identity.
-
Carry around this identity, and we gotta be proud of it.
-
Church sometimes be very shy of people don't even know
-
what you do.
-
No, say, I'm a Christian and I'm a Bible believing Christian,
-
and I have values and I have principles, our identity,
-
our destiny.
-
I told you where we are hating to Church. We
-
are hating to something that is of God, the Kingdom
-
of God. I told my children this.
-
No, don't get so comfortable here on earth. We are
-
only sojour nurs we are or not asking strangers in
-
this land. You know you're a stranger here. You feel
-
like really out of place. Yeah, why because.
-
It's not home.
-
Don't get too comfortable on earth, because our final destination
-
is with the Lord. And do you think God will
-
just welcome all of you and say, Okay, We're just
-
gonna sing song to God every day for the last
-
for the next.
-
Three million years.
-
No, God says I want you to now reign over
-
the remember Genesis or not? What do you God say,
-
take dominion over the earth? Now, Christians are not having
-
dominion over the earth. And that's why it's messed up.
-
All this is messed up when Jesus comes out, he's gonna
-
restore the order, and he's gonna be needing people who
-
are set apart to be able to do that to
-
reign with him.
-
Yes or not? Do you want that destiny for yourself? Amen?
-
And so how do we get there? Right?
-
I talk about where we start our identity. I talk
-
about our end, our destiny. What is the process in
-
the middle. It's called sanctification, our sanctity, our being made holy,
-
our being prepared, our being clean.
-
Yes or not?
-
This is a daily thing, my dear friends. And it's
-
not gonna happen overnight. Just because you go to a
-
spa you get your your hair nicely done. Is it
-
gonna look like that in three days time? I wish, right,
-
I wish we can always wake up with like perfect
-
hair day. No, you have to work at it every day.
-
There is a sense of walking walking with the Lord.
-
There's a sense of saying, God clean me today. And
-
that's why the Lord prayers says what there's a lot
-
prayer says, forgive us our sins, forgive us our trespasses,
-
as we forgive those who trespass us. Give us this
-
day our daily break. Yes, do you know there's a
-
daily thing that we need before the Lord every day,
-
every day, sanctity through sanctification.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
So the question then is this, when we set ourselves apart, right,
-
what are some.
-
Of the things that you have to say no? Two.
-
There's a lot of things just how we say.
-
We have to say yes right, yes to God, yes
-
to giving him, yes to serving, yes to I don't know,
-
speaking words of life. Yes, But there's also a Noah.
-
What are the things that you have to say no
-
to this year? Because you remember, you were setting yourself apart.
-
When you're setting yourself apart, you're saying yes to God and.
-
No to feeling the dots.
-
It's very tempting to say I want everything, but that's
-
not setting apart. If you want everything, everything that the
-
world promises.
-
To give you, you're not setting apart.
-
You know, there's some there's there's you know, a personal
-
thing that I did for myself. You know, many years ago,
-
I said, because okay, we're all supposed to be velvest
-
with a you know, with news and be knowledgeable about
-
things like that. Yes, get to know what's happening. Yes,
-
be a global citizen. But I told myself this and
-
this is something. You know, God, it just really prompted me,
-
He says. Do you know if there's only one book
-
you can read in that day, is there's only one
-
portion of anything that you can read for the day,
-
Let it be the.
-
Word of God.
-
You can read all the news you want, You can
-
read everything that's going on on social media. Is that
-
going to set you free? Is that going to bring
-
you salvation, bring you healing?
-
If it's not, then why do we spend so much
-
time on it?
-
How about really saying, God, if I can go through
-
the word of God because I believe that the word
-
of God is the one that will set me free,
-
the word of the One, the word of the Lord,
-
is the one that will set me apart, then would
-
you make that choice to say God, I'm serious with you, Amen,
-
I'm going to invite the worship banner.
-
Hallelujah? Are you catching something?
-
I really want us to be set apart this year
-
for the Lord individually, but also as a church man.
-
We need to set ourselves apart. And I really, you know.
-
I want to see this place for feel overflowing so
-
that it's bringing to the food people are hungry for
-
the presence of God. People are waiting to come to church,
-
cannot wait. How about that? Would you have that experience?
-
You know that? When I was in South Korea, they
-
run five.
-
Services on Sunday and two or three services every other day.
-
They miss Monday, Tuesday, when say Thursday, Friday, Saturday God
-
service and people come as early as six am.
-
They have a six am worship. People are hungry for
-
the Lord? Amen? Are you hungry for the Lord? Are
-
you hungry to say? God?
-
I really want to see lives change, lives touch and transform.
-
I want to go.
-
Beyond what I just see every day. Enough enough of
-
the ordinary, right, I think? Yes, there's the ordinary, there's
-
the natural. But God wants to do the supernatural for
-
us because.
-
He called us. He called us us to be supernatural
-
just as He is. Amen. We are called to be
-
like Christ, touching people, setting people free, preaching the good news,
-
bringing encouragement to others. Amen. Hallelujah. Can we stand? Can
-
we stand before the Lord? Hallelujah? Let's minister to the
-
Lord in a song? Hallelujah.
-
