You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
The message that I believe the Lord has placed in
-
my heart for all of us this morning is called
-
Overcoming your Fears.
-
Overcoming your fears.
-
You know, this year our church team is disciples first,
-
and there is a re emphasis on discipleship. But how
-
many of us know that discipleship is a double edged sword.
-
You know, it's not just more internal meetings. You know,
-
that is one way for us to express discipleship. You know,
-
we gather together, we journey each other deeper into the
-
world of God. You know, we allow leaders and godly
-
counsel to speak into our lives, and we need that.
-
We need to sit under some people who have gone
-
further than us in faith, so that our faith becomes
-
more like Christ. Amen. As the apostle Paul says, imitate
-
me as I imitate Christ when he wrote to you know,
-
his protege Timothy. And you know, the thing is this
-
that that is one form discipleship. But the Jesus idea
-
discipleship is not just internal, it's also external. That's why
-
the Great Commission, says go idiot says gather, it says,
-
go to the nations and make disciples of them, baptizing
-
them the name of the Father's our Holy Spirit, teaching
-
them to observe. So discipleship, on one hand, is more
-
internal meetings, you know, more heart to heart, understanding scripture,
-
understanding the spirit of God's Word, praying for one another,
-
no confessing what we're going through to one another, so
-
that we can all grow to become all like Christ.
-
But it's also taking all that God has deposited to
-
us through his word and bringing it out into the world.
-
And then, let me put it this way, right, Christians,
-
we should be no for what Christ stands for. So
-
for example, Jesus his love. So as Christians, love shouldn't
-
just be felt when we come to church. And and
-
and like Priscillas says, this is a warm church. And
-
if you are considering, you know, a church, look no further.
-
This is it welcome home.
-
You know, but but this this, but, but love shouldn't
-
just be felt within the four worlds. As Christians, when
-
you go to work, people should feel the love.
-
People should feel the love.
-
You know, there are some people and I hope that
-
you know we're not like that. There's some people we
-
won't name names, but when they're not around, everybody feels
-
a bit more relaxed, you know what I'm saying. Right,
-
you know, I won't name who in the company. You
-
know who you're talking about, right, Hopefully it's not you.
-
You know, when when so and so doesn't show up
-
at work, when so and so in your office, in
-
your school, in your campus is working from home, unwell,
-
almost everybody has a side of relief. We can breathe.
-
And I hope that that's not what people say about Christians.
-
I hope it's the opposite. I hope that when when
-
the Christians for some reason, you know, I don't know,
-
dangy or whatever, and then they had to be admitted
-
at the hospital and they can't show up the work
-
or whatever, like like the workplace, that their campus, their school,
-
their family misses them and go like wow, you know,
-
it feels different. It's not the same. It's not the same.
-
Where's the joy, where's the spark, where's the lights?
-
And so that's what discipleship is, right.
-
We're meant to to be in church and download more
-
of God's love and be changed by that love. But
-
we'reso meant to bring that love outside. So in a
-
way we're meant to disciple the world and teach them
-
and show them what true love is.
-
You know what's another thing.
-
Christians were supposed to disciple the world, and we're supposed
-
to disciple the world in grace because Christianity is built
-
on grace. For God's so loved the world that he
-
gave his only son that whoever who believes in him,
-
thet the little rodin sinners like me who believe in him,
-
can receive grace? Can we receive second chance? And how
-
we know that the world needs not just the second chance,
-
but third for fifth six, the world needs grace. And
-
I hope that when you go to work you are
-
known for grace, not known to become culative. You know,
-
you're known for your generosity, you know, not as the
-
person who wants to split the bill. You know, even
-
the fishballs. Sorry, you know just now we went out
-
for Chinese food. We or the bowl of soup. Those
-
five fishball? I ate three fishball, you ate two? Can
-
you pay fifty seven more? Please?
-
Christians pay for the whole soup.
-
You know what I'm saying, Like, like, you gotta be
-
known for your generosity because we serve a generous God.
-
Be known for grace, because we serve a gracious God.
-
Be known for love because we serve a loving God.
-
Being known for holiness because we serve a holy God.
-
And so when we go out there, we gotta be
-
set upon. Amen. We gotta not only share what we experience,
-
you know, in church on Sunday, but hopefully, by the
-
grace of God, live in out friends. Turn your neighbor says,
-
you gotta live it out, you gotta live it out.
-
And in our living out, we are discipling in our
-
living out right.
-
Because it's if this.
-
Is how we disciple, how do we impact and change
-
our families or workplace, our schools and just anywhere our businesses,
-
whatever realm or influence that God has placed you in.
-
You know, we gotta show up first before we we
-
We we talk a lot, Amen, You our talk is
-
cheap in the in the world that we're living right now,
-
people need to see that we truly stand for what
-
we believe in. And when they see consistency, when they
-
see a difference in our lives, then.
-
They'll be super interested in what we have to say.
-
Amen. And you know what is one more thing we
-
gotta disciple the world. One more thing We're gonna live out. Courage, courage, courage,
-
because we also serve for God who defeated death. The
-
scariest thing in the whole of creation is death, and
-
yet we serve a Lord who has conquered death. The
-
Bible says that death has lost its sting. Death, by
-
the grace of God, has turned from a full stop
-
into a comma. And because we all know that whoever
-
who believes in Him shall not perish, but receive eternal life.
-
And so we are actually people who have eternal life
-
in us.
-
Amen. And so when we go out into the world,
-
that eternal.
-
Life that needs to be reflected in the way we talk,
-
in the way we live, and in the way we
-
look at the world, because how we know that we
-
are also living in a very fearful world. Right. Whether
-
it's a health thing that people are afraid of, I
-
don't know ever since coming back. You know, it could
-
be because I'm turning forty, So all the people I
-
hang up with suddenly, you know when in the turn forties,
-
Certainly it's like a fear.
-
Everybody is not afraid of death.
-
Certainly everyone I talk to is asking me have you
-
had your black tests yet?
-
Have you checked your blood?
-
If you check your black pressure you I'm like, nobody
-
talks like that in your thirties or twenties. No people
-
in their twenties are going out, you know, I don't
-
know drinking mama, drinking mama, you know, having mama, and
-
and you know, stuff in their face with a current
-
fried chicken. But the moment you turn forty, it's like,
-
you know, almost your last connasterial chat. You know, blah
-
blah blah. You know, that's like a different, different thing. Hey, MANU,
-
there's a lot of fear right talking to different people.
-
People are always talking about, oh, so under the economy
-
is so uncertain.
-
We never know. You know, April second is coming. April
-
second is coming to those of you who are doubt
-
enough to read the news. You know why you know
-
April second? You know? Or what will tariffs hit? How
-
would the affect the economy, would affect Malaysia? What this
-
Militianu's diplomatic relationship with the Orange Man in America? You know,
-
like like what what you know? How how is how
-
is you know? Every is working themselves with a frenzy.
-
Everyone's working themselves into fear right, and we even invented
-
the word doom scrolling, not happy scrolling, doom scrolling. Okay,
-
for those of us who are older, let me explain. Okay,
-
doom scrolling is when you just scroll on your device
-
on your social media and you just consume so much
-
bad news, so much conspiracy theory, that you feel everything
-
is doom and gloom, you know, and you lose sleep
-
and then the cycle continues. Anyway, so it's very important
-
for us to be people that live out faith. And
-
part of our faith, it's not just faith, hope and love,
-
it's also courage. In fact, faith and courage go hand
-
in hand. And so let's turn to some scripture. It
-
is okay, because you know, I want us to look
-
at scripture and learn a thing or two about how
-
to overcome fear, because fear is not just something that
-
we overcome once and that's it. You know, it's not
-
like you're high school exams. It's not SPM or whatever
-
it is right now. You know, it's not just a
-
one time citing. It's not your driving licensials to sit
-
one time and then who no, no, no, it's an
-
ongoing examination that life throws at you. And so every
-
now and then, just when you thought I thought just
-
overcome this fear, how come and afraid again? You know,
-
this is why we need to overcome it again and again,
-
by the grace of God. Amen. But the good news
-
is this, we are not alone. So let's turn to
-
some scriptures. Say, okay, let's tend to March up to five,
-
and then we're going to read from verse thirty five
-
to forty two. Mark five thirty five to forty two.
-
If your dead can here good, Amen, Amen, fantastic, Oh,
-
praise God, thank you asking me, It says here. While
-
he was still speaking to her, messengers arrived from the
-
home of Gyrus, the leader of the synagogue, and they
-
told him, your daughter is dead. There is no U
-
troubling the teacher. Now let's pass you for a bit, right. So,
-
of course, for today's context, we're jumping right in the
-
middle of this story. But this is kind of like
-
watching a series by jumping in season two, so let
-
me explain season one. Okay, so what happened before this?
-
You know, in earlier part of March chapter five was
-
that Jesus was walking through a crowd and you know,
-
a man came. This is in verse twenty three, and
-
his name is Gyrus. He's a synagogue leader, church leader
-
in the local context. And he came and he fell
-
on his feet, and he begged Jesus earnestly, saying that
-
my little daughter is very very very very ill. Please,
-
I've heard that you can do great things. Could you
-
come and heal her? So that's the count of like
-
season one context. And Jesus said, show me the way,
-
I'll come. I'll be more than happy to intervene on
-
your behalf. And along the way Jesus was so full
-
of power. How many are praise God? We serve a
-
God who's full of power, so full of power that
-
even on the way to perform a miracle, another miracle happens,
-
you know, on the way to performing a miracle.
-
You know, another woman.
-
By faith touched the helm of our Lord Jesus Christ
-
government and she received healing. And so Jesus was there
-
ministering to her, you know, listening to her story and
-
then restoring her. And that's where we get earlier on
-
it says that while he was still talking, a messenger came.
-
So let's go back to verse thirty five again, right,
-
so this is why the context of life. Well, so
-
when he was still talking, still minishing to the ladies
-
to say that, hey, go now your faith has healed you.
-
While I was still happening, messengers came from the house
-
of Gyros and said, your daughter is dead. There's no
-
need to trouble Jesus any more. That's true, beating on
-
verse thirty six. But she Us overheard them and said
-
to Gyros, don't be afraid, just have faith. I'm not
-
sure if this is speaking to someone here today. You're
-
like Gyros. You love God and you're doing your best
-
to do right by him.
-
But life happens and you're pleading to God.
-
But before God can answer your prayer, the situation becomes worse,
-
and suddenly you feel unworthy. You feel unworthy to even
-
bother God any more. You know, the beautiful thing about
-
Christianity is this, right, It's not like the moment you
-
become a Christian, nothing bad ever happens to you anymore.
-
You know that is not that is not the gospel.
-
That the gospel is this.
-
There is real evil in this world, there is real
-
darkness in this world. There's real pain, real tragedy that
-
are really messed up things in this broken, fallen world.
-
But God so loved the world that he intervened. He
-
so loved the world that he didn't stand from a
-
fire and go like, oh sucks to be them. No, no, no,
-
He stepped in, took on the form of man and
-
entered into our problem and intervene our problem and made
-
our problem his problem. And so you have here Gyros
-
who had a problem, and and and he loves God.
-
This is a this is a maybe for someone this
-
here you You you love God, but you have a
-
problem and you love God and you're praying to God
-
for intervention, and that problem is becoming worse, and you're
-
sitting here and chesh, wondering.
-
What's wrong with me? Is it me?
-
Long? I feel so unworthy because just like the messagers say,
-
don't trouble this Jesus anymore, have you been there before?
-
You're praying to God for breakthrough, and then you're the
-
news You keep that thing is bad, and you're tempted
-
to stop praying.
-
You're tempted to give up.
-
You're tempted to start having a pity party and think
-
that maybe it's me, Maybe I'm unworthy of Jesus's help.
-
Maybe maybe it's me. Maybe I'm a man to to
-
to to to, you know, just go through this. Maybe
-
this is God's will for me? Can you let God
-
be the one that wills your life in stead of you?
-
You know a lot of times this must be God's will?
-
Did you check? Did you check?
-
Hey? Man, who are you to speak on? Behalf of God?
-
Or this God's wheeler? I'm like, I'm fair, or this
-
God's wheeler, I'm single? This God's Oh? Really with God?
-
That God say that? If God didn't say, why are
-
you declaring it? And so the good news is this
-
that Jesus over hurt them. We serve a God who overhears.
-
We serve a God who hears. So if you see
-
that here you're wondering, is God hearing me? Yes, God hears?
-
And that all that Jesus is saying to you this
-
morning is this. Don't be afraid, just have faith. Tell
-
you it says, don't be afraid, just have faith. Whatever
-
you're going through right now, don't be afraid. Just have faith.
-
Whether it's a health situation, financial situation, a family problem,
-
don't be afraid. Christians were not supposed to be known
-
to be afraid, were known to fear God.
-
But not be afraid. We need to have faith.
-
Amen. And this is not my motivational speak. This is
-
the words of Jesus. This is the words of Jesus.
-
If you near what from God this morning? This is what.
-
Don't be afraid have faith and they exam tomorrow. Don't
-
be afraid have faith. I don't know what my bills.
-
Don't be afraid. Have faith.
-
Amen. Okay, let's let's keep reading on. Okay, Sorry, I
-
gotta keep the time. Verse the they seven. Then Jesus
-
stopped the crowd and wouldn't let anyone go with him
-
except Peter James and John, the brother of James. Amen.
-
James a good name anyway.
-
So Verse the the eight right, And when they came
-
to the home of the Synagot leader, Jesus saw much commotion,
-
weeping and wailing.
-
And so what did Jesus do?
-
He went inside and us why all this commotion and weeping.
-
The child isn't dead, She's only asleep.
-
You see.
-
We gotta learn to see things how Jesus sees them.
-
Sometimes we see a dead end, Jesus, that's not a
-
dead end. That's just a tunnel waiting to be dugged,
-
or that that that's done end, that's there's a U
-
turn in the making, or you know, I can I
-
can work something. And Jesus is declaring, Hey, why all
-
this commotion, Why are you guys wailing and weeping? The
-
child isn't dead, She's only asleep. Let's read on to
-
verse forty, right. The crowd laughed at him. I hope
-
that's not. No, sometimes we can do that. The Lord
-
is declaring faith, the preacher here is declaring faith, the
-
worship readers declaring faith. And sometimes in a heart of
-
hearts or a flash, you are laughing, you know. Grahama's
-
here going like, come on, guys, we're gonna dance. Stirred
-
the part, stirred the part, and you're stinking at the bed,
-
gonna stir my head now, you know.
-
Yeah yeah. When when you do that, you think you're
-
being cool, You think church of being cringey.
-
No, no, you're you're laughing at Jesus because maybe the
-
lawyer is saying that, come on, stood the part. Can
-
you be undignified for me just one second? They didn't
-
I hang on across for you, completely naked black for
-
your sins. You can't stand the part for me. It's
-
not about stirring the pot. It's about just, you know,
-
being people that were saying that, you know, Jesus I
-
will do anything for you, you know, worshit. It's not
-
about means about you. Amen, And so we're gonna be careful.
-
Don't don't laugh at God. But when you do laugh
-
at him, what did you do? He made all of
-
them leave, and he took the girl's father and mother
-
and his three disciples into the room where the girl
-
was lying.
-
Two more of us says can we do that?
-
Okay? Holding her hand, he said to her, talitita kom,
-
which means little girl, get up, And the girl, who
-
was twelve years old, he immediately stood up and walked around,
-
and they were overwhelmed and totally amazed.
-
Amen, God bless the reading of his word. Amen. From
-
this scripture that three things I want. There's a catch.
-
They'll form on.
-
Three take on points that I pray will help you
-
overcome your fears. Point number one, you gotta close the door.
-
Close the door. You notice that in verse for you
-
one that Jesus brought in the father of the mother,
-
only not the crowd not the people who are wheeping
-
and whaling, not the extra people, just the Father, Mother,
-
and then Jesus and then even Jesus. How many disciples
-
pop quiz how many disciples of Jesus have?
-
Twelve?
-
Okay, but he brought three. Okay, it's okay, togas Okay.
-
My math is also not My math is not good.
-
So I'm not okay, I'm no judgment, No come the nation. Okay.
-
So he brought only three of the disciples, right, and
-
and and this.
-
Is so important because for us to overcome fear, we
-
gotta close the door of certain spaces in our lives.
-
You know how, all of us we have a decision
-
making room, not a literal room, but in our heart
-
of hearts. Right when there's a major decision, when you're
-
going through something, I hope you're not calling the whole village.
-
You know, you have specific people that you're reaching out to,
-
people that you trust. And so Jesus modeled this out.
-
This is this is a dad has happened. A mirale
-
girl was on the verge of happening, and so God
-
wanted to move. But even then he had to make
-
sure there were the right people in the room. And
-
and and and let me break it down, right, So
-
he brought the parents, and so I'm not here saying that, oh,
-
you know, to overcome your fears, you need an inner
-
circle in your life that consists of your parents. No, no, no,
-
the parents were the ones here that had the issue, right, Okay, cool,
-
thank you, cool interruption. It says that my baby needs
-
milk some date anyway, khakis too, Okay, just in case. Yeah,
-
those of you listening, please edit this out. But those
-
of you at the back of your just around. Uh
-
it's uh, just needs my baby his meal in the
-
car anyway. I'll talk about him later, Okay, don't worry,
-
don worry.
-
Okay.
-
So where was I Yeah, so you know, we all
-
need like an inner circle, and it's not even though
-
Jesus involved the parents. Let me say this with grace.
-
Not all parents have to be included in our decision.
-
And I say this with love and I know their parents. Yeah, okay,
-
the parents were the ones that represent us. We are
-
the ones. We are the parents in this situation where
-
the runs with the problem. Now in some of us
-
here you are blessed with God fearing parents. Please make
-
them your inner circle. But for a lot of us
-
we don't have God fearing parents. We have world fearing
-
parents who happen to be Christians who out have you?
-
Have you met Christians at there before? You know? They
-
they they they profess Christ, but they worship at the
-
author of world. They worship the altar of money. They
-
worship the out of fear. You know, they read I
-
don't know the newspaper more and they read the good News.
-
And so if you have godly parents, please make them
-
in a circle. But for some of us, we're gonna,
-
we're gonna, We're gonna only let the right ones in
-
and and and I'm not here to tell you who
-
your Peter should be, who you're John and brother of
-
James should be. But I'm here to tell you that
-
in the inner circle that must be Jesus. There must
-
be Jesus. Whatever you're going through, let Jesus be the
-
author and the finisher. Let him have the first and last.
-
Say are you going through something? Have you just been
-
given a bad medical report? Bad in the eyes of
-
the world. Don't go around because we live in the
-
world right now where we love to overshare. We live
-
in the world right now where it's not lack of information.
-
But it's too much information. Write too much information right.
-
People are oversharing on social media. We're scrolling on social media.
-
We're learning way too many things that's unsubstantiated from social media.
-
How many of us have you know been? I don't know.
-
Just coming back to Malaysia.
-
My mind for you page now is trying to tell
-
me to download an app that will help with my
-
add So calling to YouTube every time you might have
-
add you might have ADHD, you might have OCD, you
-
might have this, you might have that, and download this
-
app and you're safe.
-
You know, I won't ask you raise your hands.
-
But some of us here, you know, we set for
-
some lists to self diagnose right to go, like you know,
-
oh do I have this? Do I have this?
-
Even for fun?
-
Let me just do it?
-
And so we're leaving a woman.
-
It's too much information, too much noise, And the Word
-
of God is trying to tell us that when it
-
comes to overcoming fear, we're going to reduce the noise
-
in our lives. There are people who are weeping and
-
wailing in our lives that just like Jesus, we're gonna
-
chase them out.
-
And so I'm not gonna tell you who are.
-
The people who are the haters in your life, but
-
you gotta chase them out. There's some people that you
-
love hanging out with them, but they don't speak the
-
same language of faith as you do. And you need
-
people in your room, in your spiritual room that speak
-
the same faith lingo that if Jesus heals, they says, Amen.
-
And people who will stand with you for your breakthrough.
-
This is how we overcome fear by letting the right
-
ones in. You know, the Word of God says in
-
Problems nine ten, the fear of the Lord is the
-
beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One
-
is understanding. You need to have the knowledge of the
-
Holy One. You need to have Jesus. You need to
-
have his word, you need to have revelation, you need
-
to have His Holy Spirit. Amen. This is what we need.
-
And so you gotta close the door. Whatever you're going
-
through right now, friends, you gotta close the door. Let
-
me give you a quick three points and then let
-
me give you my very real life experience so that
-
you know that I'm standing here. I'm not just preaching
-
to your concept. I'm preaching from a place that I've
-
been through something similar, Amen, So very quickly, let's move on.
-
Close the door.
-
Trust me, it will all make sense through your neighbor says,
-
it will all make sense. He's rambling right now, but
-
it all makes sense.
-
Amen.
-
And then as you repeat it second by it's okay.
-
Point number two, Carry it to Christ. Carry it to Christ.
-
No matter what Gyrus went through, he continued to carry
-
his problem to Christ. And so, friends, we live in
-
the world that is broken. There will be problems in
-
this world. And when you get hit by a bad report,
-
when you get hit by a bad diagnosis, when you
-
hit by a bad prognosis, whatever it is. When when
-
you when you're told that you're being laid off, you're
-
being told that the ecomic prospect is a good You
-
gotta learn to close the door, shut the noise out,
-
and then take this very real problem and bring it
-
to Christ.
-
See, I'm not asking you to be an Ostrich.
-
Now. Sometimes we think that when Past asked me to
-
have faith, you know, it's like to ask me to
-
be like an Ostrich sticking my head into the ground,
-
you know. And a lot of times people think that
-
all Christians, you know, we're not living in reality.
-
No, no, no, this is real.
-
Take your problem and bring it to Christ. Gyrus brought
-
his very real problem, and he brought it to Christ.
-
When it was an illness, he brought it to Christ.
-
When he became a death, he brought it to Christ.
-
And all that Jesus asked stayed across. Keep believing, don't
-
let fear in, don't be afraid, just believe. And so
-
we gotta bring it to Christ.
-
Amen.
-
And and this is so important because again Jesus welcomes us.
-
Jesus instructs us to do this. In Matthew chapter eleven,
-
verse twenty eight to thirty, Matthew eleven, twenty eight to
-
thirty says, this, come to me what some know, all
-
of you who are wary, all of you who carry
-
heavy burdens.
-
And I will give you rest.
-
Take my yoke upon you, and let me teach you,
-
because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you
-
will find rest for your souls.
-
These are the words of Jesus.
-
Jesus gonna say that, hey, man, when you believe me,
-
all the problems will just go away. No, no, no,
-
Jesus says, hey, hey, when you believe me, the world's
-
gonna be really rough. They might hate you even more.
-
But bring it to me. Bring your pain, bring it
-
to me, Bring your shame, bring it to me. See,
-
we got to overcome our fears sometimes. You know, our
-
church so gracious is the prayer supporting? Here?
-
Were praying for you.
-
Yes, some of us were so afraid to even share
-
what's going on on the inside. And I pray that
-
one day God will help you to overcome. But until
-
that day comes, can I tell you this? You can
-
bring it to Jesus. He welcomes it. Sometimes the devil
-
make you go like, oh, you see, now you pray,
-
but you haven't been praying. You know, you haven't been praying,
-
so you know, you know, how sure are you that
-
God will God will help you? How sure you that
-
God will answer you? You haven't been praying, you haven't
-
been doing your quiet time, you haven't even been going
-
to church, you haven't been tithing. Have you been attacked
-
by all these noises before? You're gotta close the door
-
because this is not of God. God never ever said
-
that go to the temple, then bring all your stuff
-
to me. Pay your tithes and offering, then bring all
-
your stuff to me. Be a good person, then bring
-
all your stuff. No, no, no, those are the pagan
-
thoughts that we have inherited from our former faiths that
-
we're gonna kick out.
-
Jesus says, come to me.
-
Doesn't matter what you've been doing, doesn't matter whether you've
-
been praying, doesn't matter how long you've been a Christian
-
or not. Come to me and I will give you rest.
-
And So, friends, are you going through something scary? Are
-
you going through something traumatic? Bring it to Christ. Carry
-
it to the cross. Amen, carry it, because the thing
-
is this that if you don't carry your fears, your
-
fear will carry you.
-
So you gotta carry your fear and surrender to Jesus.
-
Otherwise your fear will carry you to all these scary places,
-
into the room called depression, into the other room called
-
self harm. No, no, no, You're gonna carry whatever going through,
-
Bring it to Jesus. Solution is in Him and him alone.
-
Rest is in Him and Him alone. Amen. And in
-
Philippius chapter four for sixty seven says this, be anxious
-
for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,
-
Let your request be made known to God, and the
-
peace of God, which surpasses all understanding. Will God your
-
hearts and minds? How many need God to God your
-
heart and mind and man? How may are going through
-
something and go like God. I need some peace of
-
heart and mind right now. I don't need more news.
-
I don't need more reports. I don't need more checkouts.
-
I need some peace of heart and mind. Good news.
-
God wants to give it to you, and God wants
-
to give it to you.
-
In abundance, and he welcomes us right again. Be anxious
-
for nothing but in everything, whatever you're going through, in everything,
-
your fear, your worry, your sickness, your health, your marriage, problems,
-
your health, promise, your children problems. By prayer and supplication
-
with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
-
Carry it to Christ a man. As Christians, we're gonna
-
be confident.
-
Amen.
-
No more living around going like other fingers cross, fingers cross, no, no, no, please, Okay,
-
there's only one cross in our lives, and it's on
-
the cross that Jesus died for my sins. Amen. So
-
the next time your friend says finger cross, break their
-
fingers and then pray for their healing. Okay, right. The
-
only dash wood you need is the wood on the cross. Okay,
-
so you don't need come on, right, so you gotta
-
carry it to Christ Amen. And then last but not
-
least right, you gotta cast it out. You're gonna cast
-
it out. Jesus chased the wrong people out, and in life,
-
we're gonna do that. You know, we're gonna cast it out.
-
But how do I castle? I'm gonna cast the demon reform? Great?
-
Let me tiss you, okay, verst and full? Do I
-
do find some prey? No? Okay, just say out in
-
Jesus' name. Can't repeat after me? Say out in Jesus name.
-
Right when when sometimes you have fear worry that comes,
-
don't sit under that. Come on, you're gonna just very
-
simple out in Jesus name, Get out, out out. You're
-
gonna chase it out because it doesn't belong there, you know, like,
-
let let me give us some scripture, right second Timothy
-
verse one seven. Somemers are very familiar with this. Right,
-
for God has not given us a spirit of fear,
-
has not given us a spirit of fear. Don't time,
-
you don't understand. He has not given us a spirit
-
of fear. In other words, when spirit of field tries
-
to come into you. It's trespassing. I'm not sure about you,
-
but but how many of you here? I won't go
-
into which pat is better cats or dogs? Dogs, But
-
let's hypothetically say you live in the area where there's
-
a stray cat problem.
-
How have you been there before?
-
Right? And they try to jump into your neighborhood and
-
they pull and pee everywhere, right, And then when you
-
see it, what do you do?
-
You go like out right confidently. You don't go like
-
whose cat is Thissa?
-
Is it?
-
Is it okay? Is it okay?
-
You know I don't be so insensitive, you know, I
-
don't mean so it's just in case it's the neighbors. No,
-
you just got right.
-
You take water, bottle out, spray right. Sound.
-
You might even try to put rep poison, you know,
-
all the car in it, and we will pray for you.
-
But but you you stand your ground.
-
When you see a cockroach enter your room, do you
-
go like, mister cockroach, how has it been? You know?
-
Come come tell me all about it?
-
No, you scream, right, you take out I don't know
-
double barrel, shoe talks or whatever, and you just right,
-
you just you kick it out, You slap it whatever
-
it is right right, And I mean I can say
-
this because I cannot be honest. The Lord had to
-
teach me the opposite. Because I'm actually like an animal lover.
-
I should remember a true story. One time Passesandra saw
-
a lizard, a gecko right in common right uh in
-
in in her air conduct in the office.
-
She say, that's a Liza Dave.
-
And I happen at the time, I happened to be sitting,
-
you know, my my little desk was opposite her office.
-
So went in there and I saw the lizard there
-
looking so frightened, and can you not have to I
-
did this? I did this a good line. Come here
-
no at the time Steve Irwin, and it was, you know,
-
he was still alive. And so I was like trying
-
to like, you know, come on, come on, little buddy,
-
just just jump on my hand. I'll bring you out
-
from here. And then passengers are Dave waiting, and then
-
she took out, you know, and she's just you know,
-
and uh, rest in peace and and so. But why
-
I'm saying is this right now, all drugs are side.
-
Sometimes we see stuff that doesn't belong. We are stern right,
-
let me get a little bit more serious. If you're
-
a girl, you're walking into a restroom and you see
-
a guy hiding there, you scream.
-
You don't, you're never polite about it.
-
You don't.
-
You don't go like, oh, excuse me, I will get
-
out of here. No no, you scream and you go like,
-
you move, get out.
-
If you see an intruder try to enter your room,
-
enter your house, try to harm your family, what do
-
you do? Oh Robert, please, life must be had in Malaysia.
-
Please take please take. You know you watch a lot
-
of let mesa rap me. Oh please take the silver
-
cutleries or Jean Valjean No, no, no, no, no no.
-
You scream, you go like, get out, don't touch my tutor,
-
get out. And even as a Christian, some foul enguage
-
might even come out because you just want to get
-
the wrong person out. How come we're so fearful to
-
cast out these wrong emotions? How come we are so
-
tolerant of fear in our lives? The Bible says God
-
did not, has not will not give you a spirit
-
of fear, And fear is a spirit He has a
-
way of, you know, hiding and making things worse and
-
haunting your life, and God is saying that did not
-
give it to you. So the next time fear tries
-
to come in, get keep and go like, stop it
-
out in Jesus name out and say it until it leaves. Instead,
-
the Bible says this that He has given us power, love,
-
and sound mind. So these wise Christians were meant to
-
go out there and disciple the world in power, love
-
and sound mine who are not supposed to add to
-
the fear mongery was supposed to add faith into the equation. Amen.
-
One more scripture and then I'll tell my story. Is okay?
-
First be Touchapter five, verse sixty seven. Therefore, humble yourselves
-
under the mind the hand of God, that He may
-
exhut you in due time. And what casting all your
-
cares upon him? For he what tolerates you, for he
-
pities you. For he if he's in a good mood,
-
he might answer your prey. No. We can give all
-
our worries and cares to God because He cares. Turn
-
to your neighbor, says God cares. God cares.
-
Cast it out.
-
If you don't have strength to cast it out there,
-
at least check it to Jesus, says school God.
-
God, I don't want to do this Jesus. And Jesus, yeah,
-
cast your cast to me.
-
I can take it.
-
I care for you.
-
I'll keep you and the way, the truth and the life.
-
I am the way, I am the gay, I am
-
the shepherd. I will gud the door of your heart.
-
Give it to me. Amen, let me. These are the
-
three things you gonna catch from this scripture, from from
-
Gyrus's interaction. Because Jesus did all that right. He closed
-
the door. He brought the child to himself, and he says,
-
talita kom and it always translated a little girl, get up,
-
but actually in talita kum is an Arabic and arame
-
is actually translated much more gentle. The little girl is
-
is a keen to what shepherds will call the little sheep.
-
So it's like almost a little lamb. It's very gentle.
-
It's like me going to my son working out in
-
the morning and going, hey, little body. And so, Jesus,
-
this is a god with slf. He's a god that
-
when you give your problems to him, he said, what
-
is this problem? He goes like, hey, hey, it's gonna
-
be okay. This is a god with self, got my
-
fear got my cancer, got my future, got my got
-
my good for nothing, sir sca, okay, got my marriage,
-
just for it.
-
It's gould be okay, it's gona be okay.
-
Come on, get up, She'll be okay. Come on. Our
-
God is a god who handles our problems with gentleness
-
because he cares. And not only do we need carry
-
our our issues to the cross and carry our issues
-
to King Jesus or Christ, but we also need to
-
actively cast the wrong ones out because Jesus also did that. Right.
-
Let me put it all together right now, that's my son.
-
His name is James. The Lord has blessed us to him.
-
He is very cute. Can come up later after service
-
to pay tribute to him when we get a touch
-
if you want, The Lord both him with anointing for hair. Uh,
-
that's his real hair. We did not put him on
-
any treatment. He came out of the womb with hair
-
and the hair kept growing. We haven't cut of his
-
hair yet. He is turning seven months on for a
-
tenth of April. But anyway, so yeah, he's noisy, he's
-
he's a handful, but he's a blessing. The Lord bless
-
us with with with James. We found out around January
-
twenty twenty four. Can and I we were just loving
-
the Lord, minding our own business, totally trying our lives
-
to serving him, and one day the Lord just put
-
an impression upon our heart. It says that Dave, I
-
think it's time to start a family. And we're like,
-
we're not the most paternal paternal people. But the Lord
-
says that I want to bless you with a son.
-
And the Lord begin to download into our hearts. You know,
-
we begin to get impression. We even before we knew
-
his gender. We kin knew that we're gonna have a boy.
-
You know, we even knew, you know, his name is
-
gonna be James's gonna use it mightily, you know, or
-
you know, at least every parent hopes. And so we thought, okay, Lord, fine,
-
well we'll give it a goal, you know, and you know,
-
I hope it's not too explicit. I know their youth
-
are here, so you know, you you're gonna try for
-
a kid, and you know, me being totally closs about
-
this kind of things, go like okay, destroy and uh,
-
you know, we hear a lot of friends who who
-
who try and they try for years you know, even
-
go for ivy F and all that. And then we
-
taught ourselves, you know, okay, we're hearing all these things
-
from God. I'm not the most pertonal person you all.
-
Cat will tell you she's not the most maternal person
-
at that time. Now she's very look at her, and
-
and and and so we thought, okay, God, well we'll
-
give it a go, you know. And you know, sometimes
-
the lot speaks, you just gotta obey. And if nothing happens,
-
the lot hasn't spoken, it happens the lot has spoken.
-
You know, sometimes you just gonna obey. And so upon
-
being upon just trying before we knew it just like that,
-
we we we we now, oh well, so fast, well
-
prisk God, I guess this is how it's supposed to work,
-
like the textbook. And uh and so so we were like, hey,
-
price God. So in January twenty twenty four we found out, Hey,
-
we're going to be parents. Yay. And you know, living
-
in the UK, in all Malaysia is so blessed living
-
in UK. The public health system there is that because
-
it's count flight more or less free. Everybody gets two scans,
-
two scans, only two scans one at a round three
-
months stage and then one at maybe you know, two
-
months before your delivery. You know, after that, if you
-
want extra scans, you gotta go to private and stuff
-
like that, you know. And so we were so excited
-
to go for a first scan. Uh. And I'm sharing
-
this also because hopefully this can be part of a
-
U Turn testimony because this happened around U Turn last
-
year and which were in right now. And so we
-
went for our scan, you know for some parents, really excited.
-
I got my camera out. I was thinking of take
-
a picture of the ultra sound, really thinking of all
-
this car. He went into the room and then you know,
-
they were like, oh, well, baby looks very healthy.
-
Oh baby is kicking.
-
You know what I'm saying. A lot of very you know,
-
encouraging things. And they were like yeah, yeah, yeah. And
-
then certainly the room got really quiet because they were
-
scanning the baby and an certainly they saw a certain
-
area and they kept looking at the area, and they
-
kept zooming in and measuring that area and and and
-
and from cars like complimenting us on about our baby
-
and how how strong his kicks and punches are. To
-
certainly be very quiet, and then they go like, oh,
-
I think we saw something, but king, give us a
-
few minutes. We need to we need to consult another doctor.
-
So we we came in one room and instantly now
-
they whist us out on another room. You know, when
-
you go for a medic check up, when you don't
-
come out the same room, it's usually a bad thing.
-
When they have to show you the back room, is like, oh,
-
you know, And so they show us a back room
-
which led to like a darkened corridor which had its
-
own separate waiting area. And then suddenly they go like, okay,
-
wait here, we're gonna bring your scans to the other
-
doctor and then we're gonna we're gonna see what he says.
-
And so long story short, they came back and then
-
say we will see you now. And then we went
-
into the room and then the doctor says that the
-
sonographers will right to refer you to us because we
-
notice and anomaly. So they say that usually, you know,
-
at the back of a baby's neck there is a
-
fluid called knuckle fluid.
-
And so they go like, and this is again, you
-
know something, this is so important for us to hear.
-
This love of us. We think that sigence has all
-
the answers. Signs doesn't have because this is what science
-
told us. Okay, signs true. The doctor said that we
-
don't know why, but there is a correlation. We cannot
-
tell you why. Science hasn't discovered why, but but we
-
have like enough data to tell you that there's a
-
correlation between babies with a thick knuckle flu at the
-
back of the neck and genetic disorders. We do not
-
know why, but we can tell you that data show
-
that they go hand in hand. The acceptable range is
-
three point two millimeters of fluid at the back of
-
your baby's neck. Your baby is four point six millimeter,
-
so it's in their eyes, high high range. Then they
-
crunch the numbers and they go like, plus the fact
-
that you guys are older. You know, we're not that old,
-
but according to science, we're old. Your baby has how
-
many percent chance? No computer AI and all that it's tarting, Oh,
-
how many percent charges of getting this syndrome? How many
-
percent tries of getting this disease? Mays are getting this
-
this And I go like, oh, it's just like zero
-
point something one in eighteen doesn't sound very serious, doctor,
-
Why what you're getting also worked out, I remember asking
-
a person and doctor says no, no, because you must
-
combine all of these figures together. And when you combine
-
all of these figures together, mister yo, I'm here to
-
tell you there is a one in four chance your
-
child will not be born normal. You see, the world
-
needs grace, the world needs site manners. I know this,
-
this doctor definitely needs. But you see the world have
-
nobody to show them. We expiations. We need to go
-
out there and show faith, We need to go out
-
there and show love. Right because at right there, at
-
the moment, I go like, what kind of doctor are you? Man?
-
What kind of news? This is the first time parent?
-
You don't like? What there's a one in four chance
-
your child will not be normal? And then they say
-
would you like to go for further tests? And they
-
encourage you this doctor, at least this doctor. Okay, I
-
remember the doctor's name, Matthias. I hope there's no Matthias
-
here true using a child's name. Don't chrust Mattias anyway.
-
I'm just okay, just shoking, just joking. You know, I'm
-
just a physical speaker angry letters. Please okay, if you're nhappy,
-
I'm preaching today. My name is unpaying whole ah and uh, okay, complain, complain,
-
I'm just joking.
-
But but at that moment, right that this doctor Matthias.
-
Was was really brutal, and and I was like, and
-
then it's going to Mattias are going like, have you
-
considered determination? No?
-
No, we decided too. Oh are you sure? There's no shame?
-
You know, because sometimes when you find out the child
-
so much netting disorders, is that the kind of thing
-
is to terminate. This is what the world tells us
-
if you think for a second that we don't need
-
to bring the gospel out. No, the world that's really
-
needs to hear the good news, the world that really
-
needs to hear that there is a better way. There
-
is a Jesus way. And so that that was suddenly
-
so so so I know a thing or two about
-
going to a scary situation first time parents. At the
-
start you turned, we were fasting going in for our
-
first scan. We weren't like baby crazy people. We felt
-
the lot asked us to try. Then only we tried,
-
and we felt the Lord gift just like that, and
-
so you know, it felt like the Lord was all
-
over this.
-
How come now the prognosis is so bad. Have you
-
been there before?
-
You started a jar and then it feels like the
-
Lord gave you this job, and instantly halfway through the
-
job turns hour you're in a relationship, you're in a marriage,
-
and then you felt like the law started it. And
-
then now halfway through the romance is gone and you're
-
wondering should you continue? And fear is overwhelming. Friends, I'm
-
here to tell you what do you need to do?
-
Close the door? Close the door. So, of course, don't
-
get me wrong, I'm standing here, I'm pastor, but I'm
-
also just flesh and blood. When the doctor told me
-
all that, I was shaken and I was saying that
-
can we have time to think and pray about it?
-
And the doctor was like, if you want the prisage,
-
you better do it now because I'm gonna go off.
-
And you know, I'm clocking off at five o'clock. You
-
know now it's like four o clah blah blah blah.
-
And I was like, dude, I'm trying to like, my
-
wife is crying, I'm having I'm like I need to
-
process this as No, if you need more time, just
-
you know a callers back tomorrow and make another appointment. Okay,
-
Just again in case you're wondering, is you okay? The
-
best place anyway, you know, where God wants you to
-
be is the best place. That's all I can say. Amen,
-
if God wants you to be UK, that's the best place.
-
If God wants you to be in Malaysia, that's the
-
best place. And so we had to do a lot.
-
Not sure if you've been through something similar, bad reports, cuddly,
-
you're not looking for trouble, You're being faithful, and instantly
-
life throws you a curveball. You thought you're stepping up
-
by faith, Life throws you a curveball. And then right
-
there and then we were like, what what do we
-
do This child that we thought the Lord was blessing
-
us with. Now the doctor is saying there's one in
-
four chance, there's a twenty five percent chance he will
-
be born with a genetic defect. But Lord, this is
-
where we had to close the door. So we went
-
back home that night. What we mean cross the door.
-
I didn't tell my whole family because I know my
-
whole family couldn't handle it. So I had to really
-
pray and listen and reach out to one sibling who
-
I knew could handle I didn't know. You know, we
-
were church pastors there right in the UK. We didn't
-
even tell the church what we're going through because you know,
-
we we we felt that the church couldn't handle it.
-
The church is young. The last thing we need them
-
to think it is like, oh, am, I in the
-
right church. How can the pastors are not protected by
-
the blessing of God? Right? Right?
-
Come on, right? Every time something bad happens, the pastor.
-
Is going on I mean the round church. No, it's
-
just life. Jesus went to the cross, was he not
-
anointed the most anointed? Jesus betrayed. So if we measure
-
our our matrice of a success by by nothing bad
-
happened to us, then then don't follow Jesus because he
-
died anyway. So we also felt like, okay, a bit
-
too sensitive. The church is younger, couldn't handle it. You know.
-
Eventually we we we when you know, we we eventually
-
shared it to them and they rejoiced with us. But
-
at that moment we had to close the door. So
-
with the closer door, so Jesus must be in the
-
close room decision making. We are the parents. We must
-
be in the crossing decision. So who's our Peter, Who's
-
our John, Who's our James? Or one of the john
-
The James was one of my siblings, was also a doctor,
-
who's also a believer. We reached out to. And then
-
my siblings said that I'm so sorry to hear you
-
go through this. Know these are the options, but but
-
can I tell you got the advice that we gave
-
us this trust God. Take it from me as a doctor.
-
Trust God because tests cannot tell you everything. And if
-
you open the door for tests, you open the door
-
for more tests and more tests and more tests and
-
more numbers and more numbers and more percentages which cannot
-
tell you anything conclusive. And so right there and then
-
I go like thank you, And then we say who
-
can reach out to? We couldn't sleep little you turn.
-
They didn't even have, you know, consumers when bad news come,
-
you don't even have the energy to break fast. So
-
middle of the night we're like, can't sleep, crying, not
-
sure how to process this. We reach out to another person.
-
This is why it's so so blessed in extra We
-
have leaders, we have huddles, because we reach out to Passsenger.
-
We just say that passenger, can we talk? She saw
-
our texts at three a m.
-
All our time. She's gonna give me a few minutes.
-
I'll call you.
-
Thank God for leaders like that can just encourage you
-
in acts. There are a lot of very good leaders
-
who you should let into your closed door room.
-
Should let them in.
-
They should be the Peter, they should be the John,
-
they should be the James, the standing next to our
-
Lord Jesus giving you got the advice. Then we called Passandra,
-
poured our heart out to her. She just listened, and
-
then she gave us again the same faith frequency advice.
-
She says that daf we pray, don't need to share
-
anyone too sensitive, but we pray the Lord has come
-
through for so many coupoles in church to say by
-
character who they are, but it come true and say
-
that yes I believe it by faith, I believe, And
-
so we close the door.
-
After that, the next day, guess what we didn't bother.
-
We only caught back the hospital to say that, hey, hospital,
-
we decided we don't want to go for any more tests.
-
We'll go for our checkups, but we don't want to
-
go for more tests because we don't want this test
-
to affect the way we look at the problem. I
-
want Jesus to affect the way I look at my problem.
-
See a lot of us. We're letting numbers, We're letting
-
statistics affect the way we look at the problem. We're
-
looking the algorithm effect the way we look at the problem. Know,
-
let the word of God, let the knowledge of the
-
Holy One. Let Jesus Amen close the door and make
-
sure Jesus is in the side. Here point number two.
-
After that, you're gonna bring it to Christ. So you
-
know what, in the middle of U turn. And so
-
this is my encourage for you if you're going through
-
something similar.
-
This is U turn.
-
This is a season where we intentionally turn to God.
-
And so we made a decision. Okay, we'll break fast
-
at seven pm, but from six pm, one hour before
-
breaking fast, we're gonna have family worship time. I can't
-
play any instrument to save my life. So we thank
-
God for our YouTube. So we found YouTube and we
-
just press a worship song and we worshiped along. Do
-
you know that there's power and worship. There is power
-
and worship, And as every believer, we need to learn
-
how to have private worship time. Your worship time shouldn't
-
just be here. Amen. In fact, you know the ones
-
that lead worship here, you know the really anointed worship leaders,
-
they also have private worship. King David had private worship,
-
but he also was undignified among the crowds leading the
-
nation to worship the Lord. So so as Christians, we
-
need to have private worship as well as corporate worship.
-
So we're private worship. So private worship, we're just worshiping.
-
And then we bring our problems to Christ. And the
-
Lord taught me two ways. One way, says Dave, worship
-
and then take communion and then breakfast. And so we
-
took communion. Do you know that in the New Covenant,
-
we too can take communion. You don't need an other thing,
-
ohold here to serve you the communion. Strange your mouth?
-
You know you can at home in this U turn.
-
Prepare some bread, prepare some rebainier, and take it by faith.
-
You need healed.
-
Take it by faith. He's a power is not in
-
the bread and the cup. The power is what the
-
bread and the cup represents. It represents the finish work
-
on the cross and everything we're going through. We need
-
to process it. We need to look at it. We
-
need to understand it through the finished work on the Cross.
-
And so right there every day we took Koreanian saying that, Lord,
-
we believe whatever comes because you have paid the crist
-
on the cross. If you can go to the cross,
-
we can go through this. If you can go to
-
the cross, we can go through this. If that is
-
resurrection at the end of the cross, Lord, that that
-
will be breakthrough for this. By at the same time,
-
we remain humble. We didn't say God, you know, we
-
don't want this to reject this because the Lord is sovereign.
-
The Lord gives us a child especial needs, then by
-
the grace of God and the finish work of the Cross,
-
we will be parents who can do this. But if
-
the Lord wants to give us healing by the finish
-
word of the Cross, we will receive that healing. And
-
you know what's one more thing the Lord challenged me
-
to do. He says that, Dave, I want you to
-
exercise your faith. He says that do you know the
-
medical report? I said yes, Lord, he said, I want
-
you to take the medical report and I want you
-
to put it where it truly matters. And he says,
-
you know, and the Lord says, I want you to
-
take the medical report, and I want and this is
-
my medical report.
-
This is my true medical report.
-
I still carry with me, not because I'm fearful, but
-
because the Lord says that I want you to take
-
this medical report, and I want you to put it
-
where it really matters. Put it under the authority on
-
my word. Do you know your Bible is a gift
-
from the lawn. Do you know when when pass understands
-
there and goes like b y oh b, you know,
-
it's it's it's not just like a campaign, Okay, it's
-
to remind you that, by the grace of God, we
-
have a printed copy of the living Word of God
-
that we can highlight, that we can write letters to
-
God that if you're going through something, it's it's okay,
-
it's at the feet of God.
-
Okay, thank you.
-
You know. And and and and this I did. I
-
took the report. This is the real part, and I
-
put it behind revelations because you know, this under the
-
authority of the Word of God. So whatever do you see?
-
Because the report was having so much power over me,
-
but I needed to put the report under a greater
-
power so I put it under the water God and
-
go say, report you sit under the thought your scripture.
-
I also sit under thought your scripture. So you see,
-
when you carry to the cross, it's not just you know,
-
it's not just a wishful thinking. It's something we can do.
-
We can take communion. That's one way to express carrying
-
it to the cross, carrying to Christ. Take whatever you're
-
going through. Are you going through depression? Can you write
-
a letter to yourself? Can you write a letter declaring
-
your healing, and can you put it under the thoughty
-
of scripture? And can you date that letter one year
-
from today and say that one year from today, I'm
-
going to read this letter and this will be my testimony.
-
Can you learn to write your testimony in advance and
-
put it under the thoughty of scripture. That's another way
-
for us to express bringing it to Christ. So that's
-
what this Passa did. He put That's why that's why
-
the medical reports to that, because this way it still belongs,
-
and it was forever belonged. One day, when my son
-
grows up he understands, I'll show him and say that
-
this is where your bad news belong, and this is
-
how the Lord healed you. Long story short, when you
-
bring it to Christ, God knows, he cares, and and
-
and and he meets us halfway. I know I'm writting
-
out of time very quickly. I still got a storytell.
-
So first scan horrible, bad doctor. Okay, so we bring it,
-
take communion, worship. The Lord put it under scripture. And
-
then by the third week of U turn and so worshiping,
-
I felt the Lord said, as it is done, it
-
is done. I'm like what. I felt peace that surpasses
-
all understanding that came from outside, not within, because I
-
had no peace inside outside.
-
Come in and goes it is done.
-
I certainly started just started cheering while worshiping, and I
-
turned to care and care I just felt the losses.
-
It is done, it is finished. And Kat goes like
-
I didn't for you doing so.
-
And sometimes you know, the law will give you very personal,
-
very personal confirmations that is for you and you only.
-
And so while Kat continues to be pregnant with our child,
-
I felt almost like I had to be pregnant for
-
the miracle. I had to carry the miracle. I gotta
-
speak life in the miracle. I gotta feed the miracle.
-
And in nine months time there only we will know
-
this miracle give us at the same time as as
-
the kid.
-
And so I go like, God, I believe, I believe
-
it is done.
-
And then after you turn, we went for our second
-
scan because we didn't opt for testing to say okay,
-
then coming for more scans. So in a way it's
-
blessing these guys because if it was normal route, we
-
only get two scans. Because of this route we get
-
more scans, and so winning for the scan, they say
-
that okay, you didn't want to test for all this
-
genetic stuff like down syndrome, Edwards, patoles, whatever the name
-
of all those kind things. But doesn't change the fact
-
that one of the issues with genetic deformity is the heart.
-
A lot of people with genetic defects have hot issues
-
as well. Can we scan your child's heart. We have
-
machines now it can look straight into the child's heart,
-
so don't worry. I'll be like, okay. Sure were roaring
-
there by faith with fear and trembling. And the first
-
sign that the laws with first was different doctor, hallelujah.
-
So it went in there go like different doctor, who okay?
-
And then the person was like okay, I'm a specialist
-
that looks into child's heart.
-
I'll be like, thank you Jesus. Okay, looking looking looking
-
scan scan scan scan scan, very.
-
Nice, pleasant lady scan skin scan, and then go like
-
huh but in a good way. Huh. And we're like, oh,
-
it looked like there was once a tear, but the
-
tear has closed itself and has healed itself. And they
-
were like, what say there again? Yeah, it looked like
-
it closed itself, so we can we can because we're
-
using the fans things to look at it, so we
-
can see it a little like scarring. It look like
-
it closed itself. And they were like, oh wow, confirmation
-
number one. And then we go like, what about the
-
fluid and stuff at the back. Oh, no, it's nothing
-
there anymore. Oh okay, okay, Oh praise God. And I
-
didn't tell you about another thing that Lot challenged me
-
to do, right, Jesus says, a faith a small as
-
a mustard seed. So when you know I don't have
-
a mustard seed by one peppercorn, and so I I
-
went to measure the peppercorn, you know, And I measured
-
peppercorn and and because the acceptable level was like three
-
point two miles four point six, so it was like
-
one point four difference. And then I go, A peppercorn
-
is like one point four and or so I go like, Jesus,
-
I think I got enough faith, like a peppercorn line,
-
you know, like like I think you know me and
-
kept leaving everything to come to UK to to start
-
a church.
-
I think we got at least a peppercorn faith, you know,
-
a lot. So God, we just need we just need.
-
The difference was just one point six millimeters.
-
I just need a peppercorn, Lord, you know, I just
-
need less of a pepperca and uh and the Lord
-
really to the paper away and it's okay, press croun,
-
press grunt, go out there, what can breathe go back
-
for scan number three? Scan number three, the sign we're
-
in there, hallylood. You are a different doctor again, you know,
-
at least not the first doctor. We're like, oh, thank you, Lord,
-
you're still with us, and different doctor. The Lord knows
-
how to speak your language. Design is a Chinese doctor.
-
We go like, thank you doctor, I mean a uh
-
you know, and the Chinese video is going like oh
-
and then said that, okay, I know you opted off
-
on the test. I know this can be very scary,
-
but you know, if there are genetic disorders, there's uh there,
-
it will be like maybe the malforming or the face,
-
the chest, the limbs. So we're gonna look at the
-
limbs of your child, We're gonna look at his skeleton.
-
We're gonna lose his bone structure, and we're gonna see
-
if there's anything to be worried about. And we were like, okay, cool.
-
You know, at least this doctor care enough to go like,
-
we want to help you, you know, diagnose. And so
-
scan scan scan, scan, scan, scan, scan, scan scan, and
-
go like, hmmm, it looked like from all this, your
-
child looks completely healthy. The bone structure, everything is healthy.
-
The scales, everything is healthy. The ficial ship, everything is healthy.
-
And then this is where you know, God sends you
-
the best doctor. But can I, uh is it okay?
-
Since you have some more time. I'm actually left handed,
-
but because most of the hospital equipment is right handed,
-
so I trained myself to use the machine right handed.
-
So I go like, wow, God give me the best doctor.
-
You know, no, no same skin color as me. Uh uh,
-
not that I'm atter, but you know it helps sometimes
-
uh and and and while you know, while so so amazing,
-
this young lady no train herself to use.
-
Her right hand.
-
And then the doctor said, is it okay now for
-
me to use my left hand to do the same
-
scan again, But because this is my dominant hand, I
-
trust that you'll be even more accurate. But this might
-
mean they're more wires that they be pulled this way,
-
and be like to pull all the wires you want
-
to it just just you know so and then right
-
hand scan, left hand scan, and say that again. I
-
know you didn't offer test. I know it can be
-
very scary coming for this kind of scans, but rest assured.
-
I think it's safe to treat this like a normal pregnancy.
-
And so we're like, wow, thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus.
-
And so you know the thing is this right, you
-
overcome your fear and can be honest. Sometimes for Christians
-
when we really need God, we were fast, we're praying,
-
and then when God begins to show up, we begin
-
to rest on our laurels a little bit.
-
Hello, have you been there?
-
But a lot knows because you know the fourth scan,
-
oh no, first doctor, you know what's the worst part?
-
The doctor David, remember us the doctor who ruined our lives,
-
you know, bad news. Go like have us seen you before? Yes,
-
it changed our lives. You know, like see this is
-
see don't go with the world. The world will treat
-
you bad and will remember your name. But we serve
-
a God who know is my name. So go with God. Amen?
-
And so see the doctor game. What do I need
-
to do this time? How could I cast it out?
-
Not cast him out?
-
But I gotta don't get me wrong, I'm tempted to
-
cast him out, but but I gotta be like, you know,
-
because suddenly.
-
See, no, you meet your nemesis again. You know that
-
the devil.
-
The flash whispers, Oh maybe this doctor, maybe he's more
-
higher up, maybe this this, this, and you're like, no,
-
out in Jesus name, out in Jesus name, out in
-
Jesus name. And then, by the grace of God, even
-
this doctor who gave us a very bad prognosis the
-
first time around, when like, I know, the other tests
-
all look okay, but you know, we won't know until
-
the baby is born. And I'll be like, yeah, doctor,
-
we won't know until the baby is born. Out in
-
Jesus name, like because sometimes you need to do that
-
you see fear. Like I said, it's not a one
-
time thing. You know, you think you overcome and God
-
is helping you overcome. But you're gonna fight a good fight.
-
You're gonna finish the race. You're gonna keep telling yourself
-
out again, out again, out again, every month, out out
-
until the law says it is done. Now I know
-
I'm running out of time. I got more testimonies to share,
-
but I gotta cut. Shot my story, long story. Shot.
-
Baby was born and baby is healthy, by the grace
-
of God, lots of hair, no genetic disorders, whatever. But
-
our journey doesn't stop there. Fear still pounce us on
-
God's people. Tragedy still pounce us on God's people. You know, recently,
-
when can I came back to Malaysia visit family, everything,
-
We came here from Penang after visiting family, the moment
-
respect of us got danky, who has got danky right?
-
And you know sometimes when you get hit by different things,
-
you know, just being real top you know, can now
-
after a while, after we recover from Nankee, we go like.
-
It's scared to go out.
-
You know. Now you see Mosquito be scared because you
-
got bitten once twice shy and fears like that. So
-
we're gonna keep putting fear in his rightful place. So friends,
-
close the door and keep closing the door. But make
-
sure you put the right ones in. Bring it to
-
the cross, and keep bringing it to the cross. Don't
-
just bring it to the cross one time. Whatever you're
-
going to, keep bringing it to the cross. Your financial
-
issues bringing the cross, your personal issues, bring to the cross.
-
Does the matter if you're younger, Oh, I know we've
-
got Lord. Young people are used good for you can't
-
bring it to the cross, that's the matter. Your friends
-
call you ugly, close the door. You don't need the magazines,
-
you don't need the algorithm to dig. Take your beauty standard.
-
You need Jesus. They take your beauty standard, and he
-
says you're beautifully fearfully made. And then bring it to
-
the cross. Jesus, I know you say I'm very beautiful,
-
but I don't feel beautiful. Bring it to the cross.
-
Bring it to Christ God. I feel ugly. Bring your
-
ugliness to me, and I will take your burdens and
-
I will give you peace for your souls. Bring it.
-
Bring it whatever is. Bring your eating disorder, bring your
-
health condition. Bring your fear for the future.
-
Bring it.
-
And then when it's at the cross is with Christ.
-
Remember again the enemy. You see, the enemy can't take
-
your surrender away, but the enemy can whisper lies. And
-
so sometimes after we surrender, we're gonna wait for the breakthrough.
-
And when we're waiting for the breakthrough, that's where the
-
enemy tries to whisper lies. And while you're waiting for
-
the breakthrough, cast out every spirit of fear and ask
-
God to give you power, love and a sound mind.
-
Amen and friends, we need this. The world needs it.
-
I know a lot of us here we need it.
-
We need this for our personal lives. But we also
-
need to live like this because there is a world
-
out there there is terribly afraid, afraid of everything, and
-
we need to show them that there's a better way
-
of living. There's a Jesus way of living. There's a
-
victorious way of living. There's a courageous way of living.
-
There's a god way of living. And as Christians, that's
-
lead the way. Let's show the world what true faith
-
looks like. Let's show the world what true courage looks like.
-
Courage in the faith of adversity, courage in the face
-
of opposition. Amen, let's pray. Thank you Lord, thank you Jesus,
-
thank you Lord.
-
Lord.
-
I just want to pray right now. I just want
-
to pray for everyone here who could be going through
-
a fright, fearful thing right now. It could be a
-
medical report, could be a financial thing. Maybe some people
-
got laid off. Maybe some people are afraid they'll be
-
getting laid off. Some people are going through I don't know,
-
relationship problems, marriage problems, family problems, health problems.
-
Law, will we love you? Yeah, we're so afraid.
-
And so right now, Lad, I pray that you will
-
give everyone your fresh revelation that you are the God
-
who cares. You are the God who made our problem
-
your problem. You did it two thousand years ago on
-
the cross and you're still doing it today. And so God,
-
right now, Law, would you help my brother and sisters
-
here to see their problem is your problem. Their problem
-
is your problem. You are the God who cares. And Lord,
-
I pray that you were surround my brother and sisters
-
here with godly counsel. Law, you will cast all the
-
wrong ones out, you will cast the wrong spirit out.
-
But Lord, you will close the door and you will
-
fill the room with first and foremost you, Lord, Jesus,
-
the Lord, I pray that you also give different ones
-
here a Peter.
-
James that they can rely on you.
-
See, Jesus knew he had twelve disciples, but he brought
-
only three because at that moment he didn't need a Thomas.
-
At that moment, he didn't need a Philip. And now
-
Christians in our lives, but we need to be very
-
selective of who our godney council is. And Lord, I pray, Lord,
-
help us even in this season of Utah, to buy faith.
-
Bring our issues to you rather through worship, through prayer,
-
through communion, or through simple acts of faith. Simple acts
-
are prophetic faith. Lord, help us, Lord, to know that
-
you are a personal God. You welcome. You welcome our curiosity,
-
You welcome our interaction. Friends, don't be afraid to interact
-
with God.
-
Some of us here.
-
You need to. You're going through something, and the sense
-
is a word from the Lord. You need to begin
-
to write out your testimony. I know you haven't experiencing,
-
but write it in advance by faith. Write out the
-
testimony that you will share at prayer, meeting, at church,
-
at homes and write it out by faith. Write it out,
-
how you're going to pass your exam. Write it out,
-
how you're going to overcome that that that that that
-
mental health issue. Write it out and put it by
-
faith under the world of God, and say that, Lord,
-
I believe. I believe you are the God who healed
-
and still heals. You're a God who provided and still provides.
-
You are the God who's saved and still saved. And Lord,
-
give us a courage to cast out the voices and
-
the noises that are not from you. Give us even
-
the discipline to stop reading, stop scrolling, stop watching the
-
things that are unhelpful, and only leave room for you.
-
In Jesus name me pray Amen.
-
