You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea. It's
-
going to be okay. I got to tell you that.
-
I asked the Lord also this morning in my walk,
-
why this message?
-
Why?
-
What do you want your people to know? And why
-
do you want your people to know it. I don't
-
know whether this is prophetic or not, but some of
-
us may be going through issues and need this word.
-
And some of us may be going to go through
-
issues and you'll need this word. So the Lord knows
-
how to prepare you in faith. The Lord knows how
-
to get you ready to be able to receive and
-
to overcome. And so this message is taken from Philippians four,
-
verses six to seven.
-
And of course it started.
-
This message actually started with a devotion to Pictory Academy.
-
And the Lord did not let me go where this
-
word was concerned. And he's been speaking to me over
-
and over again. So let's go be anxious for nothing
-
but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving. Let
-
your requests be made known to God. And the peace
-
of God, which surpasses all understanding.
-
Will God your.
-
Hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
-
When you read the word, you've got to be dramatic.
-
No, See, seriously, if you want the Word to speak
-
to you, there has to be some drama. Otherwise it's
-
like reading an ice cream title on the shelf in
-
the supermarket. The moment you passed the ice cream place,
-
you forgot already. But when the Word of God is
-
drama to you, you just may remember it. And so
-
the Word of God says, this morning, be anxious. Now,
-
the last time I shared this, maybe I didn't make
-
it clear enough. So thank God I get this opportunity
-
to make it clear, because I said that no matter
-
how much the Lord tells us don't worry, he knows us.
-
And you know what we do.
-
We worry? True, not is there anyone here who does
-
not worry? Please put up your hands. Okay, one hundred percent,
-
one hundred percent of us go through worry, and God
-
wants to tell us that we should not worry. So
-
you know, when the Lord said, don't eat of the
-
fruit in the garden, what did men go and doo
-
he ate? Don't worry? What do we do worry? So
-
now he's trying a different approach. He's saying, be anxious.
-
God is trying a different approach. Be anxious. Hey, he's
-
telling us something very positive. If you have to worry,
-
don't worry. That's basically what he's saying. Be anxious. And
-
it goes on to say for nothing, be anxious for nothing.
-
You know, I gotta share with you in testimony. All right,
-
I need guys, I need you to know that I
-
share a lot of testimony. It's not because I want
-
you to know how great I am, because that's not it.
-
If you that's what you think, that's wrong. I share
-
testimonies with you to tell you that someone as ordinary
-
as me sees God work in his life, how much
-
more so will he do it for you? You See,
-
testimonies is about telling people. If God can do it
-
for me, he can do it for you. And trust me,
-
if I look at all of you, I would consider
-
all of you better than me. So if God is
-
doing something for me, certainly he's going to do it
-
for you. So I'm gonna share this testimony now. In
-
March last year, I received the horrible medical report.
-
Horrible, I tell you, horribel.
-
How many kinds of cholesterolis l B L one of
-
the other two H d l N and try try glycerides.
-
All bad, all bad. I don't want.
-
I must tell you about sugar. You know what is
-
HB one A C. Did I see that right? HB
-
A E C. Okay, HB A E C. This measures
-
your sugar over the last three months in your blood.
-
You know what My reading was? Seven? He understands you
-
know what is seven. Let me tell you.
-
If you are five point four and under your okay,
-
no five point six, you're five point six and under
-
your okay. If you are five, if you're grated and
-
five point six up to six point nine, you know
-
what you are PREDI when you are seven, you know
-
what you are diabetic. I had seven. Oh my, and
-
that would really devastated me.
-
I tell you.
-
After I had that reading, I was so devastated. But
-
I went to the Lord in prayer. I was counseled
-
by Pastor Kenneth. Yeah, because I was really having a
-
tough issue with this. Pasta Kenneth counseled me and he
-
gave me some you know, godly advice which I followed,
-
and then I became I changed my lifestyle. I look,
-
God will work with you if you're willing to do
-
what you need to do. But if you're gonna sleep
-
in bed, it ain't gonna happen. So I would get
-
up at four in the morning and I walked ten
-
kilometers every day, and then it went up to twenty kilometers. Yeah,
-
on average, fifteen kilometers. Now it's back to ten. But
-
I want you to know that last week my results
-
came all my HDL what else, LDL and try glycerides
-
all normal. Don't let any doctor tell you that diabetes
-
cannot be reversed. You know what is my HbA one
-
C reading five point four.
-
Normal?
-
So I want you to know in everything, don't be
-
a afraid of anything. You know, the Bible says that
-
this word anything means you know, want any man. How
-
many of you, okay, don't pull up your hands because
-
some of your bosses may be here. How many of
-
you got monsters for bosses? Or I've had a few.
-
I've had quite a few, quite a few monsters for bosses.
-
But you know what the Bible is saying, don't be.
-
Worried about them, do not concern yourself, be anxious.
-
Don't be anxious about.
-
These guys who are bad. God knows how to take
-
care of them. You know, when we first came to
-
acts church almost fifteen years ago, and Mabel myself, we thought, Pastor, hey,
-
you know, pastor, don't worry. You know, we'll sweep the church,
-
we'll wash the toilets. That's how we want to serve
-
the Lord. Hey, you know, service for the Lord is
-
not standing up here and sharing the gospel with you.
-
You know, yes, that is serving the Lord, but it's
-
not necessarily that. I mean, how many of you would
-
actually sweep the church in service to God? How many
-
of you would actually go and wash the toilets in
-
service to God? Let me tell you, Elder Mabel and
-
myself volunteered because we came from a small church, which
-
that is what we did. So when we came here,
-
we thought, that's what all churches do. Past I say, no, no, no, no, no,
-
we have people to do that. But you see in
-
our hearts we were willing to do anything.
-
So you know what we did. I joined hosts.
-
Yeah, host how many of you look down on people
-
who wear the black shirt and the orange tie. Don't
-
look down on them? Because that was my first service
-
to the Lord in ex church. And you know where
-
they sent me to the pits of hell. They sent
-
me to B three. That was my station every Sunday.
-
In case you don't know, B three is the hottest
-
place to be. No air condition, no win, totally alone,
-
so horrible.
-
Lights all not there, dark dingy.
-
It's a horrible place. But it was my station to
-
serve the Lord, and I did. And shortly after the
-
Lord raised us, and we told past the pasta we
-
don't need we don't need names, we don't need titles,
-
We do not need you know, positions in church. You
-
know what past the said, it's not about that. When
-
you step into the position, you're just stepping into the anointing.
-
So on that basis.
-
We we took that step forward to do. Now that
-
was at a time when we had a little bit
-
more energy. Now fifteen years us on. Let me tell
-
you it's getting a little bit difficult. But praise the Lord.
-
So the Lord said, don't be worried about any man.
-
And then the Lord said, don't be worried about any thing. Hey, guys,
-
stuff bothers you. Right, I'll give you another testimony. We
-
had this neighbor who planted a tree, and this tree
-
grew really big in front of the house.
-
And it seemed as if this tree hated us.
-
You know why, because all the leaves would only end
-
up in our house when it rained, when the wind blew.
-
It seemed like only our house had to be cleaned
-
by this of these leaves. The neighbor never had the
-
leaves going into his house, so of course he couldn't
-
be bothered.
-
He came to such a stage where are you telling
-
the Maible?
-
A few weeks ago, I think it's time for us
-
to talk to the neighbor and ask him to trim
-
that tree, because it's firstly, it is growing too tall.
-
If it falls, it will damage either house. But what
-
we did was we pray to the Lord last week.
-
On Tuesday, he'll call me excited, say, guess what the
-
neighbor is cutting the tree. We haven't talked to him yet,
-
so I say, okay, good, maybe it's just reducing it.
-
When I came home, the tree was completely gone, and
-
today no leaves. Don't be worried about anything. God can
-
take care of it. Okay, let's move on now, it says, euh.
-
But in everything, in everything, guys, you gotta know that
-
if you want God to move, it mustn't only be
-
in some things. You think God only moves in the
-
good things, And let me tell you God also moves
-
in the bad things. I met a man a few
-
days ago who I went to pray for, and it's
-
not very well, quite ill. And of course, while talking
-
to him, he said, you know, my mother was a
-
great woman of God. She you know, a Chinese lady.
-
I don't know whether she spoke English or not, but
-
with whatever language she said for sixty years she believed
-
in the Lord. She trusted the Lord. She always used
-
to tell me pray and pray and pray. She always
-
needs to tell me, you gotta you gotta give God
-
the glory.
-
You gotta pray.
-
So he said, oh, that's that's amazing. What about your father?
-
This is my father was different.
-
He said.
-
My father told her don't ask me to become a Christian.
-
God has got so many people praying to him. I
-
don't think you can hear me because too many people praying.
-
Then he felt deathly ill. He was about to die,
-
and his wife came and said to him, I'm gonna
-
pray for you, and you want to. You better know
-
that Jesus can heal. She prayed for him. He got
-
up out of bed, and he was healed. And then
-
this man said, in his old age, he served the
-
Lord for another ten years.
-
In everything, it.
-
Means that in all, in all your situations, good or bad,
-
in everything, in all, it also means to thoroughly do
-
not do this just.
-
A little bit.
-
If you're gonna throw in with God, throwing with God
-
all the way.
-
Throughout throughout. It also means whatsoever in any situation, whatsoever
-
it may be.
-
And it also means whosoever, whosoever. It means whosoever's giving
-
you trouble that horrible boss. Hey, he better told line,
-
because God put you in that place so that he
-
can act on behalf of your colleagues who may not
-
know the Lord. You know that the Lord used to
-
do this to the children of Israel. He would put
-
them in a certain place, and they ask, why is
-
it that this is happening to us. Then you say,
-
because they have touched you, my children, I can now
-
act on behalf of all those people that do not
-
know me. You got to know that life always has
-
a reason, and God is behind it. He loves you,
-
he trusts you, and He's going to take care of whatever.
-
Situation you are.
-
Whatever situation you have, I got to tell you another testament.
-
You know, guys, when I was in Singapore studying, I
-
was elected the hat pre hector school.
-
Yeah.
-
It was so tremendous that my class teacher refused to
-
speak to me.
-
She was behaved, being funny. She didn't like it.
-
And one day and I was scratching my head. I
-
was wondering, what's this all about? So I went and
-
I asked her, miss Cole, did I do something to
-
offend you? Why are you treating me this way? She said,
-
don't you know what you've done? I said, no, I
-
don't know. She said, you have the potential to be
-
a top student in this school, but you have accepted
-
to be head prefect. Said do you realize that every
-
head prefect in this school has failed?
-
Yeah?
-
That one shocked me a bit. Okay, so you know
-
what I told her. I said, I'm going to be
-
the first to pass. And not only did I pass,
-
I did extremely well, and after me, all the hit
-
prefects started to pass.
-
You know why.
-
Okay, this one is coming for students here. Okay, how
-
many students here? Oh that's a lot of you. This
-
one coming especially for you God is not your cheat.
-
You want to do well in your studies, This is
-
where the whatsoever, whosoever, in all circumstances you want to
-
do well in your studies. God is not your cheat.
-
He can only with what you put in. If you
-
put it in, he can help you take it out.
-
But if you are busy spending your nights and early
-
mornings in Starbucks until two am three am, then too
-
tired to go to class the next day, don't expect
-
him to act on your behalf because you got to
-
also do what's right.
-
I used to lay hands on my books.
-
Yeah, Father in the name of Jesus helped me understand
-
everything that's here or radicalor.
-
But you want to know something.
-
In order for God to take it out, I had
-
to put it in. I stayed in a hostel. You
-
know what was my studying time from ten am to
-
twelve ten pm to twelve.
-
Am, two hours a day.
-
You know what I was doing From twelve to three
-
or four am, I was back in church praying for
-
people to be delivered, sleep two hours, three hours, and
-
back again I'm at school.
-
That was my daily routine.
-
But you see, I put it in when I first
-
came into the class, my first class, my very first class,
-
after one and a half years of study break, okay,
-
immediately after Form five, I didn't go to work, I
-
didn't go to school. I played tennis for one and
-
a half years.
-
Okay. Then then I had to go back to school.
-
So after one and a half years, my very first class,
-
I entered this management class. My teacher, the teacher in
-
the class, gave this piece of paper out and said,
-
this is the work.
-
You've got to produce a report. This is your assignment. Okay.
-
So I went back, laid hands on my books, read
-
it and prayed and say God help me. So ideas came.
-
I started writing right right, right, right, right right right.
-
I don't know how many pages I wrote. I gave
-
my assignment up to the teacher. I got the highest
-
marks in the class, B plus still remember, but you
-
know what was the twist. I did not realize that
-
this was a group assignment. So the teacher said, you
-
didn't realize. Nobody told me so from that at that
-
time onwards, my classmates didn't quite like me because I
-
beat all of them and they were in their groups.
-
But that's okay. They loved me afterwards. Okay, so, but
-
in everything by prayer, it says by prayer, you know
-
what is prayer? Prayers some earnest talking over with the Lord.
-
You know, if you do not reason with the Lord,
-
you will not understand what needs to happen. Prayer is
-
reasoning before the Lord. Lord, You're got to help me
-
with this work. I mean, I don't know this subject,
-
but I'm reading it. You gotta help me understand. You
-
are the best manager. There is no subject on the
-
face of this earth that God did not invent. So
-
you better believe he can help you. Guys, you and
-
your workplaces. You don't know how to handle the problem.
-
Go to God because he's the one who said, if
-
you don't work, don't eat. So because he told you
-
the work, he will give you the answer if you
-
ask him reason out with him. This also means supplication.
-
Supplication You know what supplication is for one of a
-
better word, It means beg the Lord. Oh did you
-
realize that I didn't? Only when I prepared this message
-
did I realize? You know, my mother always tells me
-
when I go to see her, She says, you know,
-
I always go to the Lord every morning, and I say, here,
-
comes the beggar. And then I used to stop her
-
say no, you're a child of God, you don't beg
-
Now I got to go ahead tell her no, you
-
were right, because that's the meaning of this word supplication.
-
If you need to beg from someone, from your God,
-
he's there for you. And it also means petition. You
-
know what this petition. Petition means that you don't stop, man,
-
don't stop. Doesn't mean you ask the Lord every day
-
like this, Lord, give it to me, lahah, please please God, God,
-
God give to me, Give you to me, gim. It's
-
not that that's not petition. Petition is you've I had
-
one nephew. I mean, that's the way he talked. So
-
I told my.
-
Brother in law, I said, guy, you know if he was.
-
Used by the CIA, or they will get all the
-
information because the guy listening to him will give up
-
all the information.
-
You know.
-
But the thing is, this petition means when you ask
-
the Lord from that time onwards, you are confessing that God,
-
I know you've hurt my prayer. I'm just waiting for
-
the answer. I know you've hurt my prayer. I'm just
-
waiting for the answer. Okay, So I hope you're getting
-
something all right, because I am.
-
I'm just rushing. I'm just having this fire in me. Okay.
-
So it says here with supplication and with thanksgiving. Guys,
-
you never come to God without saying thank you. How
-
many of you go to your parents and ask for
-
money and you don't say thank you? I mean, the
-
last time your father gave you fifty bucks. Now, this
-
is not a lot of money, right, Stir money and
-
you take the fifty in it and you just walk
-
off the next time you're going to ask him, you
-
think he's going to give you.
-
Yeah, I might give you a slap.
-
Guys, do you realize that when you are grateful to God,
-
when you thank him for everything he's done for you,
-
He's just ready to do it the next time you
-
come because giving of thanks and gratitude is something that
-
shows the kind of person you are. How many of
-
you will help someone who always says thank you for
-
your help, and the guy who you ask for help
-
walks off after that, You think you're going to help
-
him the next time. Because you are beloved of the Lord,
-
you might lie because you know the Lord. You might
-
but you think your other colleagues, your other people who
-
do not know the Lord will do it. They will say,
-
you do not know how to say thank you? Get
-
away from me, And I want you to notice.
-
You know what?
-
You know why it is so important because it is
-
an act of worship. Hey, you come before the Lord,
-
you don't worship him. This morning, when I was walking
-
and I was having that part of my worship where
-
I am worshiping God for who he is, not what
-
he's done for me. There is that part that I
-
worship God for what he's done for me, but there
-
is a part that I worship God for who he is.
-
And as I was walking and I'm looking all around,
-
and I see so many trees and I see, say, God,
-
You're taking care of each and every one of those trees. Wow,
-
I said, Lord, look at all the cars on this road.
-
The Bible says that without Jesus there has been nothing
-
made that has been made so God, because of God,
-
all these things are that. Then I look up in
-
the heavens and then I imagine, you want to know
-
how great God is? You just got to study astronomy
-
because there are billions of galaxies, billions, not millions, billions
-
of galaxies. You know, how many planets and stars in
-
one galaxy billions, and God looks after each and every
-
one of them at the same time. They are planets
-
made of diamonds. Do you know that they are planets
-
that have the capacity or the composition of candy floss. Yeah,
-
there are planets. There's so many different types.
-
Do you know that one of the moons of Saturn
-
has got water? Isn't it wonderful?
-
And the size is the same as the planet that
-
was slightly smaller. Guys, God is looking after each and
-
every one of these things at the same time. You
-
know what is a You know what qualifies something as
-
a planet? It must be round. Yeah, do you know
-
that If it's not round, it's not a planet. You're
-
going to study it. If it's round, it's a planet.
-
And you know why scientists say things around because gravity
-
is pulling things equally. So I got a question to
-
all those great scientists who say this is no God.
-
What is gravity? Oh?
-
Gravity is the force that pulls everything. Yeah, but why
-
does it do that? You keep questioning and question they
-
have no answer. But the Bible says everything is held
-
together because of god worship and act of worship. Let
-
your requests be made known to God. What is your request?
-
Your request is a request, man, if you talk up.
-
You know, a lot of us think that God has
-
to answer our prayers just because he knows things. Yes,
-
God knows things. But if you don't ask, he ain't
-
gonna do nothing. So talking about your problem to the
-
Lord is good. But always end in a request. Because
-
God is a gentleman, he will not do something for
-
you if you don't ask him.
-
He will not.
-
He He's the one who gave you that that will.
-
So you have to invite him to act. So ask
-
from the Lord. You know, make your requirement known to God.
-
Be specific, men, ask him. He's also demand. Oh do
-
you demand the Lord?
-
Yes, Lord, I demand this from you because I know
-
it is your word, it is your promise, it is
-
you know. I believe you can do this.
-
I got to tell you that the Lord is able
-
to do astounding things. There are some testimonies I cannot
-
share with you because of certain situations I'm not allowed
-
to say, but I can tell you this. The Lord
-
can grant you miracles, miracles in the six figures, all because.
-
You and the truth.
-
Guys, are you willing to make the demand known to God.
-
Oh it's too big. It's too big for me, it's
-
too big for you. It's nothing to God.
-
Nothing.
-
All right, let's let's let's move on a little bit
-
and make me known to God. Because you know why,
-
Because when you make known something to God, it is
-
a certification. It is a declaration of who God is.
-
God wants you to declare who he is to everybody around.
-
How do you do that?
-
By your testimony? God did this for me, He will
-
do it for you. I'm nobody big, I'm nobody.
-
I may be big, but you know I'm nobody special,
-
I'm ordinary.
-
And God does it for me. He will do it
-
for you all the time. And the Bible says and
-
the peace of God. Huh, I like this word and
-
the peace of God. You know, peace in English means
-
peace loved everything. Okay, But you want to know what
-
this word means in its original language of Greek.
-
Let me see if I can get this right.
-
Kabba sandaripadas, suasannah huru har yangdi alami oli papuraghany what
-
is it?
-
Exemption from the rage of the havoc of war? How
-
do you like that? See even that my bassa.
-
Is from the lord, because really it's not in it's
-
it's not in language, it's only in textbooks. But I
-
want you to know this word peace means exemption from
-
the rage and havoc of war. My mother was four
-
years old in Jalen Hicks Hicks Road. Now it's known
-
as uh Loren Raja Chulan and Jalan Rajachulan. Okay, she said,
-
at the age of four, the sirens would go off
-
and they had to run in the jungle as the
-
Japs were dropping bombs. You know, war, the havoc of
-
war is scary. Can you imagine what it was for
-
a four year old girl to go through that kind
-
of terror? Guys, how many of us have faced terror
-
in our lives? Exemption from the rage and havoc of.
-
War, guys. I should have died so many times I
-
should have. The first time I should have died was
-
when my uncle put me on a branch. He's holding
-
me up and I slipped from his grasp and I
-
fell from that branch into the drain over the fence.
-
I'm okay. Some of you may not believe in love,
-
but I'm okay.
-
At the age of eight, I was knocked down by
-
a motorcycle at full speed, full speed. I was crossing
-
the road. I didn't see this guy. This is Chalantlogado
-
or now you know in Klanger is for those of
-
you from Klang. It's a main road. It's a real
-
nasty road. So many people have died. I walked and
-
this guy stopped his motorcycle on my face. I bear
-
a dimple made by that man. It's a hole. It
-
was a hole when I fell down there. He knocked
-
me at full speed, but I felt where.
-
He hit me.
-
He and his motorcycle went flying. My red uniform was
-
My white uniform was now covered red dyed red, completely red.
-
I rolled to the side of the road because there
-
was a trailer coming. At the age of eight, I
-
rolled to the side of the road. I don't know
-
how my bag was there, so the force of the
-
knock had sent my back there. One shoe was missing.
-
I picked up the bag and I continued walking home.
-
I looked on my left and I saw this guy's
-
face was all scratched up. Those were the times before helmet. Okay,
-
face was all scratched up. Back there he was lying
-
on the road. I don't know what became of him
-
because I got up and I walked on. As I
-
was walking, one Indian man on a bicycle.
-
See what happened to you?
-
I said, Man, an accident over there. He said, come,
-
I'll take you. He put me on a bicycle. He
-
took me to my house. My mother took me to
-
the doctor. The doctor examined me, he says, and then
-
I went to the mirror and I cleaned it up.
-
It was actually a hole.
-
It was a hole the size of a pencil ride
-
in my face because the bike had a rocket on it,
-
and that rocket went in my face.
-
I should have died. But you know I went to
-
school the next day. No scratches added in that hole,
-
not a single scratch in my body, no injury, no pain, nothing,
-
just one pat ship. How is that possible?
-
Because God was preparing me for the time that I
-
would be saved. I want you to know that God
-
is able to protect us from situations like that. I mean,
-
I'm still standing how many issues elder mable and myself
-
have gone through in life that should have destroyed us.
-
You should have destroyed us.
-
We went through so many challenges, but you know, God
-
helped us overcome each and every one of them because
-
it's the peace of God.
-
It was the peace of God.
-
Because we worshiped him, because we trusted him, because we
-
may known what we wanted him to do for us.
-
So the Bible says this word peace is exemption. It
-
also means peace between individuals. How many concord? Hey, are
-
you having trouble with people on your left or your right,
-
behind you or in frant?
-
You know?
-
The Bible says that God is able to make peace
-
with people. Peace in your life. I mean, there was
-
one time one guy, he just refused to talk to me,
-
and what's the matter with you? He said, don't you
-
remember we were sitting next in churches and then he
-
I offered you the book. You just looked at me
-
and you turned away.
-
So I looked at him and say, you know what,
-
let me tell you the truth. I don't remember seeing
-
you nobody. You were right there by my side. I said,
-
I'm sorry, I can't remember. See say some of you
-
don't know whether I'm right? No, no, no, But.
-
God help make peace. And he believed me and he
-
became friends again. God will help you. He'll help you
-
make peace with individuals. You know, the Bible says and
-
this one is this one. I love this one. I
-
love because you need to understand that peace means this
-
as well. Most of us have our troubles because of money,
-
or should I say the lack of money. The lack
-
of money gives us a lot of sleepless nights, cracking
-
out that bill needs to be paid. I cannot sleep
-
that fuller is coming for his money. I cannot sleep.
-
My children need clothes. I don't have the money. I
-
cannot sleep, right or not? You young ones, I need to
-
go to Starbards. No money problem, true, not. There is
-
this new shoe I want to buy. No money stress one, Craig. Now,
-
let me tell you what is what peace means.
-
H next life.
-
It means this, you know. It means okay. Firstly means
-
security and safety. I talked about that just now. It
-
also means prosperity.
-
Wow. Can you imagine this?
-
He says, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by
-
prans application, with thanksgiving, Let your requests be made known
-
to God, and prosperity.
-
Will come on you. Wow, money, honey, it will come.
-
Why The Bible says that it is It is so
-
important and God knows it's important, and he can give
-
it to you. You know, the other day, a very
-
nice thing happened. We went to this restaurant, Mama Indian restaurant.
-
We just had breakfast, all right now. When we went
-
to pay, the guy said, it's okay, the bill has
-
been paid.
-
Uh, the bill has been paid. Yeah, somebody paid. Who paid?
-
One guy who said he knows you. He said, we
-
came into this restaurant, we saw everybody there. There's nobody
-
here that we knew. But he says, it's okay, it's
-
paid for.
-
How cool is that? You know what? God was letting
-
us know.
-
He's just taking care of us. He's taking care of
-
our issues one by one. I can tell you the
-
whole of the last two three weeks, the miracles that
-
God has been doing has been astounding, because prosperity comes
-
when you worship the Lord, when you trust him, prosperity comes.
-
And it's also security and safety. Security and safety in
-
that situation where I could have died, and that's not
-
the only situation. I mean, I fell backwards from the
-
stairs from the ladder, fell backwards with nothing the hole,
-
and I landed in between the toilet pot.
-
And the metal box toolbox. My head just in between.
-
I could have died, but I did not why the
-
Lord was looking after me when I was One day
-
I was riding a bicycle, so I came to this
-
covet you know as the cover is the metal is
-
the concrete stone by the side of the house. A
-
lot of people sit on it and we when every
-
time we ride, we come and put a leg on it.
-
I missed.
-
And I fell backwards like that into the drain. The
-
drain is only so wide. I fell in between. My
-
head missed left side, my head missed the right side.
-
It was quite a fall, and the bike fell on
-
top of me. And standing up, can you imagine I
-
got out? I was now black. That was a dirty drain.
-
But you want to know something, not a scratch. Safety
-
because peace, because peace and harmony make things, make and
-
keep things.
-
Safe and prosperous.
-
Guys, you at the start of your life, there are
-
so many things you're going to need. There's so many
-
times when you will have lack. But I'm here to
-
tell you that the peace of God will take care
-
of it. It will take care of it. So I
-
do not know who the Lord is speaking to, but
-
situations are coming. I think when you're gonna need this help,
-
go to this word. Meditate on this word, let it
-
speak to you, because it also means of the Messiah's peace, the.
-
Way that leads to salvation.
-
Guys, I'm no longer afraid to talk to people about Jesus.
-
How difficult it is to go up to a stranger
-
and tell that stranger do you want to hear about Jesus.
-
When I begin to realize that it's so important to
-
speak to someone and let them know that Jesus loves them,
-
it becomes easy. So I tell a lot of people.
-
You got all people who are struggling, Do you want
-
to receive the Lord?
-
Call me.
-
I will come, I will talk to them. I will
-
share with them why you want them to know Jesus.
-
You want them to know the Messiah. You want them
-
to know the Messiah's salvation. That's what this word peace means.
-
And lastly, this peace also means of Christianity, the tranquil
-
state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ
-
and so fearing nothing from God and content with its
-
earthly lot or whatever sort that is. That This means
-
that because we are so assured of our salvation, we
-
can be at peace. I tell Elder Mabel.
-
When I die, if I go.
-
Before you, no morning, no sad songs, no nearer my
-
God to thee I want a rock band with drums,
-
electric guitar, bass, keyboards, the works. Why Because if you
-
and I believe that I've gone to be with Jesus,
-
it is a celebration.
-
Guys.
-
I don't want anybody to cry, Not that you're a cryler,
-
but I don't want any sad face.
-
When I go.
-
You'll miss me. You'll get over it. Seriously, you'll get
-
over it. If you don't miss me, that's okay. Also, see,
-
But in the end of the day, it's okay. It's
-
okay because we really believe that we are with Jesus. Guys,
-
it's a different way of living, you know. Goneer The
-
days when you fall to pieces because I loved one
-
goes home to be with the Lord goner. The days
-
you should celebrate. Yeah, why, you're gonna miss them, right,
-
I tell you this. The time in which it takes
-
for you to meet them again is the blink of
-
eye and eye in eternity. It's nothing in maybe seventy
-
years on earth, but in the measurement of eternity. It's
-
not even the blink of an eye.
-
Guys. That's what peace is. Peace is knowing that you're saved.
-
The Bible says only one or actually one of the
-
things that can rob you of your salvation is unforgiveness. Guys,
-
if there's anybody that you have not forgiven, you want
-
this piece, go and forgive them. You want this piece,
-
Let it go, Let those issues go. It's not worth
-
your salvation.
-
Give it up. The Bible says that we will be
-
assured knowing our savior.
-
Now it says this eh and the peace of God
-
which surpasses all understanding. Also, it also means the blessed
-
state of devout men and women after death. That's the
-
Bible what says that we are surrounded by so great
-
a cloud of witnesses. You know who these witnesses are,
-
those that have gone home to be with the Lord. Guys,
-
you want to be with damn right.
-
So make sure nothing stands in the way, make sure
-
nothing gets in the way. Let's move on.
-
And the peace of God, which surpasses with surpasses. This
-
word means that to hold oneself above, to excel, to
-
be superior. This peace is superior than anything. You know,
-
how much of time or how much of time do
-
I have left? Fifteen minutes? Okay, good, because I want
-
to talk about.
-
Jesus, all right. So the thing is this to hold
-
oneself above It's superior.
-
This, this piece of God is superior. It is excellent,
-
all right. It's above anything else. So you don't have
-
to worry. It's not the cheap piece like the devil gives. Yeah,
-
the enemy hood wings a lot of people. So Eve
-
had the peace in eating the fruit because she listened
-
to him. Guys, that's not the kind of peace that
-
God gives. The kind of peace that God gives is complete.
-
I mean, if you look at the lives of Peter
-
and Paul, to all the apostles. Look, whenever somebody tells
-
you that Jesus is untrue, it's not real. You just
-
tell them this, you say, look at the lives of
-
the apostles.
-
They were cowards.
-
But when Jesus resurrected, when the Holy Spirit came on them,
-
they went out and they changed the world. And they
-
did not they were not afraid to give their lives
-
for him. What can make a coward change the power
-
of God?
-
So if you want to know proof.
-
That is proof their lives changed. So it's superior, it's excellent,
-
all right. It's the piece of God which surpasses all understanding.
-
I want you to know this understanding, this one.
-
And when you talk about understanding, it's just very flat.
-
It doesn't really give you an entire picture. This word
-
understanding means this. It means your mind or your intellect.
-
It means your thoughts, your feelings.
-
Your will. You know, how how would you explain it? Well?
-
Your your your your mind is.
-
Like the khaki, all right, your thoughts, your feelings, that's
-
like the car, and the will is like the Holy
-
Spirit the petrol. So the thing is this, you need
-
you need God to be able to help you. Your
-
mind needs to be in sync with your thoughts and
-
feelings and your will that God is able to do it.
-
You know, Until and unless all this becomes in sync,
-
you will always have trouble in your heart. Your mind says, oh,
-
it's not possible. It won't happen for me.
-
Do you know?
-
I used to tell myself God can speak to everybody,
-
but he doesn't speak to me. That was the lie
-
that the devil had me thinking for so long. Now
-
if you ask me, I say, I can hear the Lord.
-
So my mind, my thoughts, and will has been subjected
-
to him because I would rather go with the truth.
-
What is the truth? God can speak to me through
-
the Holy Spirit. So my will is subject you.
-
Know, what is your will?
-
I want to do, but I don't do because Jesus said,
-
don't do. Or I don't want to do, but Jesus said,
-
do I do. That's your will. So I subjected it
-
to the Holy Spirit. When I go and see somebody,
-
do I just go and see them and then just
-
talk whatever comes off the top of my head. No,
-
When I'm going to see them, I'm saying, Lord, what
-
do I share with them?
-
What do I talk? What do I say?
-
This recent person that I went to see, I had
-
this thought. You know, nothing was coming in the spraying.
-
God's give me, give me, let me know what I talk,
-
let me know what I talk.
-
Let me.
-
And in the conversation with the man, his wife said
-
something and the Holy Spirit said, that's it, and I
-
dealt it, dealt with it with him, and when he finished,
-
he was feeling the peace of God. So I subject
-
my feelings, my thoughts, my mind to him. That's what
-
it means, and the Bible says it will go.
-
It will be like a watcher in advance, a sentinel,
-
you know, a god post.
-
It will be like that. You know how many of
-
us live in houses where we got security. Gonna go
-
a few of us at least, you know, no motorcycle
-
is going to come and snatch your bag, right or not?
-
There is that comfort, there's that peace. Why because you
-
are goded. You are goded. There's a God holy. The
-
Bible is saying.
-
That the peace of God will God we'll look after, will.
-
Keep safe, will keep saying, what will it keep safe?
-
Your heart? What is your heart? Your heart is your heart?
-
Now the heart the ticker t t that one hat
-
means that.
-
It also means that.
-
Your thoughts and feelings, your thoughts and feelings, your mind
-
and you know it all so means your middle. You
-
know what is your middle?
-
Your middle is your spirit?
-
Your mind, okay, is your heart, the way you think,
-
your mind, how you process those thoughts, and your spirit.
-
So the Bible says that this peace will keep all
-
of this.
-
What will it keep all of this?
-
It will keep your mind, which is your perception, your purpose,
-
your intellect, you know, your intellect, if it's not kept
-
by God, it will go wild. You need God to
-
guard your intellect through who it will keep it guarded.
-
Through Christ Jesus.
-
And I wanted to get to you about get to
-
get to this part also through Christ Jesus. Wow, what
-
is through Christ Jesus means? Let's look at the first thing.
-
It means this. It literally means the anointed one. Ah,
-
Jesus is the anointed one. That anointing will keep your
-
heart and mind protected.
-
It means that. So in Christ Jesus it means the
-
anointed one.
-
It also means transliteratey means that actually means Christ. Christ
-
means the anointed one, that particular person. Scripture is talking
-
about a particular person. It is also talking about the One,
-
the true God, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You know,
-
whenever you hear this God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
-
it is actually the Bible telling you Christ is real.
-
These people lived. Jesus is real.
-
Unlike certain people who will tell you today, Jesus was
-
a figment of everybody's imagination. Really, there are many people
-
who thought Jesus was a figment of their imagination. Until
-
they met him. Then they became great men and women
-
of God, Abraham, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
-
It also means that your redeemer, your savior, guys, Jesus saved.
-
You to fail you. Think about it. Did Jesus fail you?
-
Did he save you to fail you? I love this.
-
I was telling some people. If you look at the Levites,
-
is quite amazing. You know why the Levites are quite
-
amazing because their inheritance was service to God. The inheritance
-
of the Levites was to serve God. You think their
-
service was easier. I mean, imagine cleaning all those bloody balls.
-
And I'm not talking bad language. Okay, the balls were bloody.
-
There are lots of blood, all the sacrifices. Okay, so
-
they cleaned those bloody balls. It was messy, it was spelled.
-
Imagine cleaning the temple grounds. Oh what a It must
-
have been really nasty. You had two million people giving
-
sacrifices down there. It was not You think the cows, No,
-
I mean this vicinity don't do my business. Do you
-
think the animals would think that. No, when they come in,
-
they do all kinds of stuff and they will do it.
-
And those levites had to clean it. But you know what,
-
that was their inheritance. Their inheritance was to serve the Lord.
-
What a great place to be. You know what that
-
is our redeemer, that is our savior. He's able to
-
make us do all those things that we don't normally do,
-
that we can't normally see. He'll give us the grace,
-
he give us the unction, the help and last year,
-
it also means it actually means Jesus, our savior. So
-
when you talk through Christ Jesus, God, your hearts and minds,
-
through Christ Jesus, it means all of this. You know,
-
I shared a lot with you this morning. I was
-
very excited to bring this word to you because in
-
my mind and my heart, God always tells me it's
-
going to be okay, It's going.
-
To be all right, And it always works out that way.
-
When I'm going through the trouble, when I'm going through
-
that heart ache, when I'm going through that bad.
-
Situation, it can be nasty.
-
You can get rocked, but you know what, after that rocking,
-
you have to stay your mind on Jesus and then
-
by prayer, and prayer always begins when you worship him.
-
Then you tell him what it is you want, and
-
you know what, little by little things begin to change.
-
I do not know how we're here. After sixty four years.
-
I can't tell you how I'm here. I've known the
-
Lord for forty five years. Seventeen sixty, sorry, forty seven years.
-
I've known the Lord for forty seven years. In those
-
forty seven years, the kinds of things that that I've
-
gone through, it's astounding.
-
But you know what, I'm still standing.
-
Because I can hear the Lord say, it's going to
-
be okay. Guys, I don't know what's going to be
-
happening in the times to come, but the Lord wants
-
you to know. He wants you to hear this very,
-
very clearly. It's going to be okay.
-
You are not without help, You're not without resource, you
-
are not without then what is necessary to make you
-
succeed in life.
-
And forty seven years from today, you will also stand
-
up and say, I'm still standing. And as the song says,
-
but by the grace of God. But by the grace
-
of God, nothing I do has got me to this
-
place other than trusting the Lord, believing in him, praying
-
to him, trusting him most importantly, worshiping him.
-
Every time I have to share the word of God.
-
I always start off by worshiping God for loving someone
-
as rotten as me.
-
It helps put things in perspective. Okay.
-
Then I always worship the Lord for all the things
-
that I've seen him do.
-
And next I worship the Lord for who he is.
-
And after I've completed this worship cycle, I pray for you.
-
I say, God, I need to speak to these people.
-
I need to speak to your people and share Jesus
-
with them. What would you have me say? And the
-
Lord always speaks, And this morning it came across very
-
very clear. Wan you to know what he will do
-
for you, because some something's coming, some of you may
-
need that help, and He's preparing you ahead of time.
-
Okay, So don't worry.
-
Bible says, don't be anxious, or should I say, be
-
anxious for nothing? Okay, don't stress out about it. It's
-
gonna be all right, It's gonna be okay. Can I
-
have the music team coming up. If you can't remember
-
anything I've said this morning, just remember this. God loves you,
-
all right. He is invested in your success. He is
-
invested in things going well for you. And He's made
-
a way for you. All you got to do is
-
come to him, talk to him about it, believe him,
-
trust in him, and.
-
He will do it for you. We hope you've been
-
blessed by this message. For more information on our church,
