  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. Let's go Matthew chapter twenty four. I'm gonna read verses

  4. one to thirty one, and then I'll expand it. Okay,

  5. I'll expand it after that, but let's go. What does

  6. the Bible have to say about the last days? Okay,

  7. this is what the Bible is to say. Jesus speaks

  8. about the future. I'm reading from the NLT and that

  9. is what is entitled. At the start of Matthew chapter

  10. twenty four, as Jesus was leaving the temple grounds and

  11. I don't know.

  12. Okay, great, you have the scriptures, his.

  13. Disciples pointed out to him the various temple buildings. But

  14. he responded, do you see all these buildings. I tell

  15. you the truth, they will be completely demolished. Not one

  16. stone will be left on top of the other. Later,

  17. Jesus said, on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came

  18. to him privately and say, tell us, when will all

  19. this happen? What sign will signal your return and the

  20. end of the world. You see the disciples back then

  21. also quite capola. They really wanted to know because Jesus

  22. was talking. Okay, sorry for those who don't know what

  23. pole is. They really wanted to know. They were very curious.

  24. They were overly curious, okay, and so they wanted to

  25. know avans the end of the world Jesus, and Jesus

  26. actually told them, don't let anyone mislead you, for many

  27. will come in my name claiming I am the Messiah.

  28. They will deceive many, and you will hear of wars

  29. and threads of wars. But don't panic. Yes, these things

  30. must take place, but the end won't follow immediately. Nation

  31. will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

  32. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of

  33. the world. But all this is only the first of

  34. the birth pains, with more to come. Wow Wow Dana.

  35. Verse nine. Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed.

  36. You will be hated all over the world because you

  37. are my followers, and many will turn away away from

  38. me and betray and hate each other. And many false

  39. prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Seeing will

  40. be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.

  41. But the one who endures to the end will be safe,

  42. and the good news about the kingdom will be pretty

  43. throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it,

  44. and the end will come Amen, Verse fifteen. The day

  45. is coming when you will see what Daniel the prophets

  46. spoke about the sacriligious object that causes desetration standing in

  47. the holy place.

  48. Okay, you're like, why in the world is this? I

  49. will explain it.

  50. Okay, Then those in Judea must flee to the hills.

  51. A person out on the deck of a roof must

  52. not go down into the house to peck. A person

  53. out in the field must not return even to get

  54. a court. How terrible it will be for pregnant women

  55. and for nursing mothers in those days. And pray that

  56. your flight will not be in winter or on the sabbath,

  57. for there will be greater anguish than at any time

  58. since the world begin, and it will never be so

  59. great again. In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened,

  60. not a single person will survive. But it will be

  61. shortened for the sake of God's chosen ones.

  62. Hallelujah, Praise God. It will be shot.

  63. Then, if anyone tells you look here, is the Messiah

  64. or there he is. Don't believe it, for false messiahs

  65. and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs

  66. and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's

  67. chosen ones.

  68. See I have warn you about this ahead of time.

  69. So if someone tells you, look, the Messiah is out

  70. in the desert, don't bother to go and look, or

  71. look he is hiding here.

  72. Don't believe it.

  73. For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines

  74. to the west, so it will be when the Sun

  75. of Man comes, just as the gathering of vultures show

  76. there is a caucas nearby. So these signs indicate that

  77. the end is near. Immediately after the anguish of those

  78. days will be darkened, the moon will give no light,

  79. the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers

  80. in the heavens will be shaken. And then at last

  81. the sign that the Sun of Men is coming will

  82. appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning

  83. among all the peoples of the earth. And they will

  84. see the Sun of Men coming on the clouds of

  85. heaven with power and great glory, and he will send

  86. out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet,

  87. and they will gather his chosen ones from all over

  88. the world, from the furthest ends of the earth and heaven.

  89. The Lord bless the reading of his word. How many

  90. of your read this and you go to bed sleeping happy.

  91. It's strong, it's strong, okay, But do you know thise

  92. the future of the world is more frequently predicted than

  93. any other Biblical prophecies if you study and sorry, sorry

  94. my pronunciation not very clear, is I hope? I? But seriously, yes,

  95. stay passes Sena twice say something really bad. I told

  96. her no, no, no, I did it. It's the mouth there.

  97. But there's so many prophecies in the Bible that is

  98. preparing us for what is to come. And of course

  99. we know the Bible is full of prophecies. Maybe if

  100. someone countered, I think some people have counted it. They're

  101. looking at seven six to seven hundred prophecies throughout the

  102. entire Bible, and almost eighty percent of those prophecies that

  103. you've seen. Because the Bible is not written at one

  104. point of time's written in the span of about a thousand,

  105. four hundred years. It's a compilation or a compendium of books.

  106. It's a library of books, and they have actually seen

  107. things that were prophesied earlier and then it came to pass.

  108. So if you want to think of the Bible as

  109. the truth, you can because of the fact that it

  110. has proven itself to be the truth. And that's why

  111. I'm confident that whatever it has spoken to us or

  112. told us about what to expect in the future, we

  113. can anticipate.

  114. For it to happen. Amen.

  115. And so there are hundreds of references to Jesus' written

  116. Sometimes how we're going to fit them in together? It's

  117. like putting a jigsaw puzzle. Okay, it's like putting a

  118. jigsaw puzzle together. Usually when it comes to the end

  119. of the world, we always ask this question, what is

  120. the world coming to?

  121. Right?

  122. You always think of doomsday, then you think of zombies,

  123. or then you think you know, we always think about

  124. what is the world coming to? Our global warming? Everything

  125. is going Hey, why you're flooding is going to take place?

  126. Not all the armageddon kind of shows is like a

  127. meteor is going to hit the earth.

  128. You know, That's how we usually think.

  129. By Actually, the right question that we should be asking

  130. is not so much what is the world coming to?

  131. Is actually who is coming to the world. That's the

  132. question that we have to ask as us who have

  133. the scriptures. In fact, all of us have the scriptures

  134. every human being is, whether we choose to read it

  135. or not.

  136. So in theory we think about it.

  137. Jesus' writturn is so central to the Christian faith. You

  138. pick up any Christian creed, where there's the Apostles creed,

  139. the Nicene creed, whatever creator, all of it has got

  140. a line that says that we are looking forward to

  141. the return of Christ. In practice, this truth has been

  142. neglected in theory. Is there In practice we celebrate Christmas hallelujah.

  143. We love it.

  144. I'm not asking you not to celebrate Christmas, but we

  145. probably love his first coming more than we actually look

  146. forward to his second coming. That's the reality of it,

  147. because the past and the present is more important than

  148. the future.

  149. Again, we're all humans.

  150. But I think it's important for us to make some

  151. sense of his return. Don't just let it be wishful thinking.

  152. You know, sometimes we always like when go and get stuff,

  153. Jesus come back soon past, take me away. Know, we

  154. will speak like that. That's wishful thinking. It should not

  155. be wishful thinking. It should be a confident hope. But

  156. how many of you confidently hope for all those things

  157. that spell out jesus impending return. I know it's not easy,

  158. but let's make sense of it. Let's make sense of it. Okay,

  159. everyone seeing me. First thing we need to ask, and

  160. we need to ask and answer certain questions. First thing,

  161. of course, is who is coming? And of course we

  162. know who is coming. Of course we're okay about Jesus, right,

  163. but how will he come? And hour explain it? Okay,

  164. our explain all these questions. The next question to ask

  165. is where will he be returning?

  166. To?

  167. Good question to usk. The next question you should ask

  168. is how will the return look like? How will it

  169. look like?

  170. Of use? I need to know.

  171. And then, of course, the next one that we always

  172. ask is when really take place?

  173. All of us want to know when? When? When? When?

  174. God, That's when I'll get my act right. Okay, let's

  175. let's go into some of these questions. Let's tell you who.

  176. Everyone say, Okay, stay with me, stay me.

  177. I can promise you, but I hope to leave him

  178. more encouraged than you are feeling like the end of

  179. the world another doomsday creature with the floriku and okay,

  180. a scripture who it has to be emphasized that the

  181. divine Christ and the human Jesus are one and the same. Okay,

  182. I have to start off by stating that, because sometimes

  183. we get it a little bit mixed up, or Trinity

  184. or Jesus when they come.

  185. Well, the truth is, Jesus became human, right, he became human.

  186. That's why when Quantin referred to Philippians Chapter two, what

  187. did he do? Essentially, if you read the scriptures, he

  188. emptied himself off his divinity. It's like he he chose

  189. to empty himself, is deviated. He came to this world

  190. and he took on a form of a human baby.

  191. And we know that his resurrected body is the same

  192. body that will remain with him for eternity.

  193. That means from.

  194. Whenever he came moving forward, Jesus will always retain his humanity.

  195. He will always be in his body form. So think

  196. about it. Is actually a perfect human being who is

  197. now in control of the whole universe. Because we know Jesus,

  198. he is the king of this world, and so we

  199. have entrusted our hope of the future to a perfect

  200. not just a human being. But of course we cannot

  201. take away the fact that he's divine as well, because

  202. remember this, Jesus was not always in human form.

  203. He was not always called Jesus.

  204. Okay, if you think about it, that was a name

  205. that he acquired when he took on the body form.

  206. And he is the only person to have ever chose

  207. to be born. I don't think any of you have

  208. chosen to be born, but he, because of his divine being,

  209. chose to be born. He was the eternal son of God,

  210. the Lord of Glory, the Word, and he was a

  211. divine being before he was a human being. So we

  212. must acknowledge Jesus as both divine and human, both son

  213. of God and son of men. I know, not easy,

  214. but yet actually quite easy. Because he actually walked with

  215. those disciples two thousand years ago, they saw him. We

  216. have enough eyewitness evidence to tell us that there was

  217. a man named Jesus who look human but definitely did

  218. things which are not human. And of course the scriptures

  219. continue to tell us that he in the beginning was

  220. the word that means. The scriptures refers Jesus back not

  221. just to the time in.

  222. Which he walked this earth.

  223. It refers Jesus back all the way to Okay again,

  224. time is not subject to God in a way.

  225. Is that right?

  226. God is not subject to No, sorry, God is not

  227. subject to time. Time is subject to God. I believe

  228. time is in God because God he transcends time in

  229. that sense.

  230. And so remember this divine being, human being.

  231. But we have to acknowledge Jesus in his embodied form.

  232. We'll always have this implication.

  233. And this implication is if you are in flesh, you

  234. can only be in one place at one time, even

  235. in his glorious resurrection body, and if you read the

  236. scriptures in his reserme body, Jesus was not like Holy

  237. Spirit everywhere. No, he did move very quickly to different places.

  238. I'm not sure how, but there was some sort of

  239. supernatural speed in terms of his movement. But it was

  240. never recorded that he was everywhere. It was recorded that

  241. he could be in different places very quickly, appear in

  242. two places one after the other. So if that is

  243. the case, when he returns to this earth, he can

  244. only return to one geographical location. Makes sense. Okay, let's continue.

  245. So where is that geographical location? Is the question that

  246. we have to ask. And remember, if Jesus is physical,

  247. it means that he is also His return must also

  248. be local. He cannot return universally. Sometimes we think that

  249. given Jesus come back, he's everywhere. No, he can't, because

  250. he will return in his embodied form. His spirit can

  251. be anywhere, but his body must be somewhere before he ascended.

  252. That is why Jesus, we know, could not be at

  253. two places. And this is exactly why he told his

  254. disciples it was for their good that he was leaving them.

  255. Do you remember reading.

  256. Once you read John chapter fifteen, sixteen seventeen, you realize

  257. Jesus was telling them, Hey, guys, look at me. I've

  258. got limitations right now in this embodied form, but I

  259. will stare. I will send you a stand by John

  260. chapter sixteen, verse seven, I will send you a paraclectus.

  261. I will send you my holy spirit. He had promised

  262. to be with them always, because that's what Matt Tide

  263. chapter twenty eight says, Go there for make disciples, every nation, tongue,

  264. and tribe. I will be with you always. How is

  265. he going to be with all of you always? If

  266. he was in an embodied form, he had to go

  267. so that the Spirit could come, and so the promise

  268. of the Spirit enables God's presence to be everywhere. The

  269. only way he could do this was to remove his

  270. body and replace his physical presence with the ever present,

  271. omnipresent Holy Spirit. Makes sense that is not limited to

  272. time and space. So this whole situation will not be

  273. reversed because some people think, oh, Jesus come read it.

  274. Then how will believers lose the Holy Spirit? Well, I

  275. believe they will have double presence. However, that is because

  276. again God, the Father, God, the Son, God, the Holy Spirit.

  277. This is the trinity. We will be doubly blessed.

  278. But since Jesus will return in his body like ours,

  279. it must always be pointed to one place in this earth.

  280. And his return means that his disciples will have to

  281. be gathered together from every part of the globe.

  282. That's my belief. Okay, so where will it be exactly?

  283. Well, it is the very same place where history was

  284. actually divided into two. And you know that when Jesus

  285. was born, history was divided into two from before Christ

  286. to a d.

  287. And we know that this city is known.

  288. As the City of the Great King, which is actually Jerusalem,

  289. That's why a lot of our eyes are always on

  290. what is happening in Jerusalem in the Middle East. It

  291. is from this city that he departed. It is to

  292. this city that he were written. Remember, he ascended from

  293. there he were written. How is the next question we

  294. have to ask? How is he going to come? Well,

  295. his second coming will be like his first going, not

  296. like his first coming. Makes sense, So his return will

  297. be like his ascension, not like his birth. God, he's

  298. not going to come in a baby maybe in the manger. No,

  299. he's going to come like how he went, and he

  300. went off pretty gloriously, and he will return in that

  301. same manner. Everyone will know that he has come, and

  302. everyone will know who he is because it will be

  303. the most public event in history.

  304. The scripture tells us this.

  305. Thousands of angels will accompany his written it will be

  306. so noisy. Actually, first Thessalonians for sexteen tells us that

  307. it's not going to be a quiet affair.

  308. It's going to be a noisy affair.

  309. Everyone will know because it won't be like when he

  310. first came quietly being given birth in the little manger.

  311. The world last saw him crucified. In the future, they

  312. will see him crown at last the fulfillment of the scripture.

  313. Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus

  314. Christ is Lord to the glory of God, the father

  315. a man that's in Philippines. But when will he come?

  316. And how much longer do we need to wait? Ah,

  317. that is the one that everyone is all anxious. That's

  318. where I've met you comes in because no one knows. Actually,

  319. the true answer is no one knows except God himself.

  320. Not even Jesus knows his father's clendor. Jesus was curious,

  321. but you probably were wondering. Well, in his human form,

  322. he didn't know. He didn't say anything. Will his coming

  323. be sudden and totally unexpected? Well the answer will be

  324. yes and no. It will be sudden, but it doesn't

  325. need to be totally unexpected. That's why I'm trying to

  326. tell all of us today. Because Jesus could come back

  327. at any moment. That is something that we have to

  328. prepare ourselves. So, but there will be events preceding his

  329. written things that have to happen first before he returns.

  330. You can all these signs, you can call these signals.

  331. So what are these signs and what are these signals?

  332. What are we actually watching for? What events should we

  333. be taking note of? Well, this is where the Gospel

  334. of Matthew what I just read just now clearly spells

  335. out some of these things in which we can be

  336. waiting in anticipation for really go through this. There are

  337. four signs. Okay, four signs are Let's start with the

  338. first one, and it's in Matthew chapter twenty four verses

  339. for the way I actually read it just now, ready,

  340. And the first sign is actually disasters in the world

  341. tree are specifically mentioned, wars, earthquakes, and femines all strong words, okay,

  342. in truth, actually we are a ready witnessing and exponential

  343. increase in all these three.

  344. Catastrophes.

  345. And you know what, all these three things usually spreads alarm.

  346. And insecurity among humans.

  347. It's normal, It's expected to happen, and that's why when

  348. it happens, people will be looking to a savior to

  349. always try to divert the tragedy or avert the tragedy.

  350. Why no one stopped this from happening? Why the God

  351. allow this to happen? Why are all these things and

  352. why are there's so many earthquakes? Why are so many

  353. lives dying, Why are they are fair meines? You know,

  354. thousands of people die every day because of starvation, no food.

  355. So really, let's not take for granted what we have

  356. here in Malaysia. Really, but it is already happening, and

  357. that's why people will come and try to pretend to

  358. be christ in this time.

  359. That's what the scripture tells us.

  360. Be careful, keep on reminding us, be careful of the

  361. false prophets, and disciples must protect themselves from this kind

  362. of deception by not allowing panic to take place. Disciples, Christians,

  363. it is very important for you to be ready in

  364. such situations. You want to know why there are so

  365. many different Christian humanitarian.

  366. Groups.

  367. It's because they have a different outlook, and their outlook

  368. is really not one in which is condemning God, but

  369. it's still one that is going out to save and

  370. help people and save lives. I think it's important that

  371. every Christian has that outlook. Don't panic, don't go into

  372. all this is the worst thing that can ever happen.

  373. It is very important for us to understand these painful

  374. calamities in the opposite way that the world usually reacts

  375. to because it's not the end of all good things,

  376. but it's actually the beginning of much better things. So

  377. the appropriate response is very important. It's not alarm and anxiety,

  378. but it should always be a sense of anticipation what

  379. is to come? Can I just tell you this, Before

  380. things get better, it will get worse. That is my

  381. general understanding when reading the scripture and waiting for the

  382. return and anticipating the return of Christ. It may or

  383. may not happen in my lifetime, but for things to

  384. get better, it will first get worse. We need to

  385. make sure that when things are not well. I don't

  386. know whether we will live through this spirit, but whatever

  387. it is, the reminder is when things are not well,

  388. how do we respond? Is it in alarm and anxiety

  389. or is it with a sense of Lord, I know

  390. what you're doing, and I know you're telling me to

  391. hang in there. You know, the signs are very visible

  392. today because if you think about it, there have been multiple, multiple,

  393. multiple international conflicts since since World War Two. Earthquakes are doubling,

  394. famine is widespread, and so I don't know how long

  395. will the state of affairs continue or how much worse

  396. will it get? We cannot guess, but that is the

  397. first major sign. Okay, so it's not just one sign. Okay,

  398. but look at it, look at it chronologically, because the

  399. second sign is this, people will leave the church. I'm

  400. not making this up. Go and read chapter twenty four.

  401. There will be deserts. First, there will be opposition in

  402. that followers of Jesus will be hated by all nations.

  403. And it's actually there.

  404. They say that the Christians will be persecuted, and then

  405. it will bring a corresponding increase. That means, if Christians

  406. are hated, what will also increase is many Christians will

  407. be martyred.

  408. Wow.

  409. When we hear that, we're like, how is that? No,

  410. are you ready for your Christian faith? But the Scriptures

  411. is actually preparing us to read whole and to endy

  412. and all around the world today we already see many

  413. Christians coming under immense pressure. Again here in Malaysia, maybe

  414. we are sped for now, but I'm not sure wherever

  415. a pastor comes from in India, in the northern states

  416. of India is not all hunky dory. It's challenging, and

  417. Christians do die for their faith in many countries in

  418. this world. Churches everywhere therefore need to prepare their members

  419. for suffering and sacrifice. That is why sometimes I don't

  420. want to just come here and tell you that Jesus

  421. loves you.

  422. Jesus loves you. Jesus loves you, which is the truth.

  423. He loves you, but he also wants you to be

  424. ready to hang on to him all the way. Because

  425. the scriptures actually tell us that we will see the

  426. number believers reducing. Why because when pressure picks up, you

  427. will discover who are the true believers. You can distinguish

  428. between the nominal Christians and the genuine Christians because there

  429. will be those who will struggle to remain faithful. If

  430. someone puts a gun to your head and asks you

  431. if you will continue to believe in Jesus or not,

  432. what would you answer.

  433. I don't even know what my answer would be.

  434. But if you think about it, we haven't even scratched

  435. the surface of what persecution can really mean. I think

  436. the going gets stuff you stray away, like, oh are thers?

  437. I'm out of here? But you know what.

  438. It also says those who remain faithful and steadfast, they

  439. will be the ones that cause the church to expand.

  440. Read the scriptures.

  441. It says that if you remain, stay fast and faithful,

  442. you will cause the church to expand because you will

  443. go on hanging onto your faith and preaching it. Because

  444. those who are bold and renewed now will be zealous

  445. to preach Jesus more confidently. That's why knowing the scriptures

  446. will help you build confidence.

  447. Clarity brings confidence.

  448. If you read the scriptures and you're like, half the

  449. time you're hoping that none of it will come true,

  450. don't because it's the holy scriptures. I'm telling you that

  451. whatever it says, it will come to pass. Heaven and

  452. earth will faith, but His word will come to pass.

  453. And then accompanying all these events will also be the

  454. increase in false profits. Again, there will be many false

  455. prophets you know who will come and they will preach

  456. peace when there is no peace. They will reassure you

  457. it false comforts when trouble is there. It's almost like,

  458. don't worry, bad times will never happen. By doing so,

  459. many Christians will be left repair Christians. I don't want

  460. us to be unprepared because again a lot of us

  461. think that we know the times and we think that

  462. we will never be affected by it. I say we

  463. be prepared to go through whatever these times may prepare

  464. us for it's important. Some teachings will make light of

  465. sin in our lives. You can do whatever you want.

  466. You are all God's chosen people. Don't already He loves you.

  467. Do whatever you want. Be careful of teachings like that. Really,

  468. don't ever render God's forgiveness like it's nothing, like it's worthless.

  469. Don't keep putting him back on the cross over and

  470. over and over again. Very important. The sad thing is

  471. many will turn away from the faith, and then it

  472. says the love for many will grow cold. But I

  473. also believe it will bring about world evangelism because those

  474. who believe will keep on preaching. And that's what the

  475. scriptures actually says. It is only when the Gospel is

  476. brought to all the ends of the world then Jesus

  477. will written this will be the catalyst.

  478. Sometimes and not sometimes.

  479. Actually most times you see that Christianity spreads in times

  480. of persecution, not so much in times when everything is nice,

  481. because if everything is nice, we're all sitting down on

  482. our behinds enjoying life. But when the going gets tough,

  483. then you would definitely want to go and tell your

  484. father your mother, your love ones. Really, the signs are clear,

  485. the scriptures are real.

  486. Please believe in Jesus, call on his name. Amen. The

  487. third sign is this, Okay, I need to go faster.

  488. There will be a dictator, an evil person, most likely

  489. in the Middle East, because that's what the scripture points to.

  490. Troubles that have always afflicted God's people will reach a

  491. climate sort not climate, a climax, sorry, come pronounce proably climax,

  492. and it will be a very sharp crisis known as

  493. sometimes we refer to it as the Great tribulation. You

  494. have to read revelations to get the corresponding event. And

  495. Jesus actually said more about this penultimate sign. This is

  496. the second last sign, more than any of the other tree.

  497. But he says it in a less straightforward manner. And

  498. then he based his warning on that phrase, the abomination

  499. that causes desolation.

  500. I know you're like, what the world is that?

  501. If you read the book of Daniel, is there the

  502. abomination that causes desolation? In other words, is the evil

  503. thing that causes destruction. And Daniel was actually referring to

  504. a person, and it's going to be in the very

  505. city where God had been honored this very person will

  506. arise and will provoke great mental and physical distress among

  507. God's people. Some scriptures refer to him as the Antichrist

  508. or the beasts. I know you're like all this, sure, No, Elder,

  509. this guy thinks sounds like some drama. Nobel, No, it's

  510. in the scriptures. It will be for a period of time,

  511. by thank God, from what I understand in revelations, is

  512. not a long time. It's most likely about one thousand,

  513. two hundred and sixty days. That's what the phrase a

  514. time times and half a time means in Revelations. Probably

  515. about three and a half years. Tribulation, the great tribulation,

  516. because this will all take place in Jerusalem. That is

  517. why Jesus advises all living in the Judaea area that

  518. is time to live.

  519. Leave.

  520. If not, you're going to be under so much per secure.

  521. Don't even wait to peck.

  522. Just leave.

  523. Don't remain in the vicinity of the Antichrist, because he's

  524. going to bring a lot of tribulation to believers. And

  525. it is likely that the Antichrist will be together with

  526. a false prophet. If you read revelations, you will see

  527. there's a pair of them, and they will probably set

  528. up some sort of totalitarian kind of regime in which

  529. only those who submit to their authority by being branded

  530. with a mark.

  531. Again I'm cross referencing to Revelations.

  532. The mark, of course, we know is the Monk of

  533. the Beast is the mark of six sixty six.

  534. Again, I don't know how.

  535. Literal it would be, but you, what is mostly accepted

  536. is that without the monk, you will not be allowed

  537. to trade. You will not be allowed to buy and sell,

  538. most likely your essential food. That's why it's going to

  539. be so challenging during that time. Read Revelations chapter thirteen.

  540. You will see.

  541. You can say that I'm making this up, but read it,

  542. read it literally, and then understand that these are some

  543. of the signs. It is going to be a great pressure,

  544. probably the greatest pressure any believer has ever encountered. Terribly fierce,

  545. but mercifully brief. Thank God, it's only a few years, right.

  546. There will be many rumors that Christ has returned. Believers

  547. will be told where they can find him. You're here

  548. because again I told you it keeps on repeating. There

  549. will be rumors of Christ, rumors of Christ returning. Don't

  550. listen to the rumors. You will see the sign. Christians

  551. identify the sign and know that he will come eventually,

  552. and when he comes, you will know it. The only

  553. warning is for those who are staying in Judea to go.

  554. That's why it says if you're pregnant that time, it's

  555. going to be so difficult, very challenging. If it's during

  556. winter and you have to flee, it's going to be

  557. also very challenging. So why do you think the scriptures

  558. are saying it like this is to prepare us. What

  559. we need to do is to watch and pray, watch

  560. and pray, and thank goodness, this crisis will be only

  561. for a short period of time.

  562. I know at this point you will be like.

  563. I believe in pre tribulation, I believe in post tribulation.

  564. I don't know whatever your beliefs may be. Some people

  565. believe that Christians will not be around to go to tribulation.

  566. That's I leave that to you to interpret it personally.

  567. I don't interpret it that way.

  568. But all I can say is I rather prepare believers

  569. for the worst.

  570. That means if you.

  571. Would to go through it at that time, what will

  572. you do?

  573. Amen?

  574. And so I'm not here to argue about how to

  575. interpret it. I'm here to tell us what the signs are. Finally,

  576. it says this the Lord will return almost immediately after that,

  577. because it says immediately after the distress of those days, hallelujah.

  578. So we know that the signals and the signs. It

  579. starts off long prolonged, prolonged wars, rumors or wars threads,

  580. and then the persecution of the church. People will desert

  581. the church. And then eventually the appearance of the Antichrist

  582. is getting shorter and shorter in terms of the duration,

  583. and the tribulation times is not going to be forever

  584. a long period decades, No, it's years, a few years.

  585. And then almost immediately after the trying times, it says

  586. there will be no delayed Jesus going to come back,

  587. and the final sign will be something that no one

  588. will be able to make a mistake, because every source

  589. of light will be extinguished. There will be darkness, that's

  590. what the scripture says. Whatever the time of day, it

  591. will be pitched that and then nations will see the

  592. lightning come from the east and flashing to the west,

  593. and they will see Jesus riding on the clouds. That's

  594. what the scriptures tell us the believers who have waited

  595. for so long for this day to arrive, know this

  596. was a call to the Lord's people to gather together.

  597. That is my belief of what the gathering would be. Again,

  598. I'm not going to argue. I know some people will

  599. tell me I believe in this. I believe in pre millennialism.

  600. I believe in post millennialism. I'll leave it to you.

  601. But mind stance is that believers will rule and reign

  602. together with Jesus.

  603. We will be brought together with.

  604. Him, and we will rule and reign with him, and

  605. therefore faithful follow us Jesus will forever be united thereafter. Okay,

  606. I'll stop there. I just want us to be clear

  607. of the science. Very important, because why are we told

  608. so much about the second coming? There has to be

  609. a reason. A lot is actually mentioned in the scriptures,

  610. and the purpose has to be practical, and in my opinion,

  611. it is for us to be ready when Jesus comes back.

  612. You see, revelation for the future is given to affect

  613. the present, not to satisfy our mental curiosity. Sometimes we

  614. are so curious. I want to know what's going to happen.

  615. I want to know what's going to happen. Tell me

  616. exactly that all will tell you. There are different versions,

  617. but it's actually to stimulate moral consistency. It's actually to

  618. help us live a morally consistent life. To not to

  619. tickle out curiosity. A lot of times we love to

  620. study or read End Times because oh, we can interpret

  621. it this way, interpret it that way.

  622. Doesn't matter.

  623. I rather we all realize that what the scriptures are

  624. essentially trying to do is to make sure that we

  625. all live a morally consistent life.

  626. Not so much for information's sake. I want to know.

  627. I want to know, but really to realize that there

  628. is an incentive that comes with believing and following Christ,

  629. and that incentive is to be with Him in glory.

  630. The future must influence the present, and only God knows

  631. the future, and that's why we as believers must put

  632. our trust in God. And the only time we have

  633. to get ready for the future is actually the present.

  634. If we think that, I will wait because it's not

  635. going to happen anytime soon. I want us as believers

  636. to always be prepared.

  637. That's a scout motor, right.

  638. I think be prepared, Lord Baden Powell, I think if

  639. you think about it, the early Christians, we're all looking

  640. forward to the return of Jesus right from the veryou start.

  641. That's what the prayer maran Nata means, Come, Lord, Come.

  642. They were prepared and these are the seven ways to

  643. be ready for Jesus's retturn. I just want us to

  644. take note of some of these things. I know it's heavy.

  645. Make sure we have individual faith, not borrowed faith. To

  646. be ready for Christ's return is your faith. Those who

  647. are safe are those who put their faith in Christ Jesus.

  648. We are saved by grace, true faith.

  649. God put man on this earth so that they will

  650. seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him.

  651. All of us need to find God for ourselves. We

  652. need our own individual faith. Not my pastor's faith, my

  653. mother's faith, my mother woman of faith. I just come

  654. under her covering no your own faith. Then the next

  655. thing we need is continuous service. Faithful service is actually

  656. an essential ingredient in readiness for the Lord's return. That's why,

  657. if you read on a Matthew chapter twenty four, Jesus

  658. actually gives you further three parables after that, about a household,

  659. a wedding, and a commercial trading. Read it, it's basically

  660. waiting in that anticipation, you know, the foolish brides and

  661. all those and then ultimately, what was Jesus? What was

  662. the person's statement to them? Well done, my good and

  663. faithful servant. The Lord is essentially one servants who are

  664. both faithful and foodfool If you read about it, you

  665. take the talent and you bury it under. They got rebuilt.

  666. So he's looking at faithful and fruitful servants. Continuous service

  667. is needed. Personal holiness is the next thing that is

  668. I know, wow, sounds so deep, Elder Well. The gospel

  669. is good news about holiness as well as forgiveness, and

  670. it is now possible to have sins conquered as well

  671. as cancel. A lot of times we know that when

  672. Jesus came, he canceled sin. Sin has got no part

  673. to play in our lives because he has overcome death.

  674. But somehow sin cancel and conquering sin is two different

  675. things because a lot of times we're like God, I

  676. know it's cancel. I know you really overcome death, but

  677. why is it so hard for me to conquer sin?

  678. And that's why you need God's forgiveness. You need to

  679. take it appropriate it put it upon your life, and

  680. that also means you need his holiness. His holiness simply

  681. just means to be said apart. That means we are

  682. not to touch what is not right.

  683. To be set apart.

  684. If we are really convinced that our future destiny is

  685. to be holy, this belief will be evidence in our

  686. present behavior through our endurance. I know it's not easy

  687. young people. You go through university life and everything is

  688. calling out your name, Do this, do this. There's going

  689. to be distraction. There's going to be a lot is

  690. where we go through life as young adults. There's going

  691. to be so many distractions. Don't go into that area

  692. because what God wants of each and every one of

  693. us is holiness to be set apart. It's not holiness

  694. only when we meet him. No, that's why it does

  695. this saying no, it's actually happiness and holiness. The difference.

  696. A lot of us want happiness. Now, we want a party,

  697. You want whatever you want, and then eventually when I

  698. get to heaven, that's why I'll be holy. By actually

  699. the scriptures, if you study carefully, you realize that he's

  700. talking about holiness. Now, now we set our lives apart

  701. to live for God and then eventually we will live

  702. happily in His kingdom. Amen, personal holiness is needed. The

  703. fourth thing is communal fellowship. There's a reason why we

  704. meet as a church, because believers are called to be

  705. the chosen people. We are a royal priesthood, a holy nation,

  706. a people belonging to God. There is strength in numbers.

  707. Can you imagine going through tribulation if you're alone? Don't

  708. ever give up communal fellowship.

  709. The church exists for this very reason, not the universal

  710. Church alone.

  711. Yes, we believe in the universe Church. All of us

  712. are part of the universe Church. But you have to

  713. be part of a local church first. The local church

  714. is important wherever we go. This is what we have

  715. to do.

  716. Amen.

  717. If is evangelism global evangelism. And he has been said

  718. that the Church is the only society on the earth

  719. that exists primarily for the sake of his non members. Right,

  720. think about it, isn't that true? We are constantly thinking

  721. about not we should be like we should be, but

  722. we end up thinking more about our members because our

  723. members need this, our members need that. But the church

  724. should actually be primarily thinking about these non members about

  725. those who are not safe yet. There is two things

  726. that we need to distinguish. Don't allow the world to

  727. creep into the church, because when the world seeps into

  728. the church, it will affect holiness.

  729. And that's why it's difficult.

  730. But make sure that the church is out in the world,

  731. very very important. We must stop the world from coming in,

  732. but we need to remain in the world. That is

  733. what evangelism is, evangelism and holiness. Understand it from that

  734. and you will realize why all four gospels conclude with

  735. a great commission to the apostles. You see in Matthew

  736. chapter twenty eight. You see it in Mark chapter sixteen,

  737. you see in Luke chapter twenty four, you see in

  738. John chapter twenty. All of it had the commission to

  739. go make disciples, not just through the apostles, but through

  740. the church throughout time and space, because just twelve disciples

  741. would not have been able to complete the job. But

  742. they went on and they passed it on until today,

  743. even in the midst of persecution, churches are still being

  744. birth because new believers are still being birth as well.

  745. Amen, hallelu yeah, don't forget that.

  746. Ultimately, and I'm coming to the end and John, you

  747. can come up, or you're like worried, what is he

  748. ever going to end? Yes, you see, the real test

  749. of our faithfulness is not how we behave if he's

  750. coming is imminent. Iminion means are almost like we know

  751. when he's coming. No, there's a reason why the date

  752. is not given exactly. The real test of faithfulness is

  753. not if you know when exactly he's coming back, But

  754. the real test of faithfulness is how do we behave

  755. if he is long time coming?

  756. Will the church still continue to remain faithful?

  757. Or the church will the church be like, God, you're

  758. coming and I want a party, Now, let me party first,

  759. tell me last, or that I party first, that I

  760. after our repent. But we know it doesn't work that way, right.

  761. He's not looking Jesus is not looking for panic action.

  762. He's actually looking for loyal service. I know it's one

  763. of the most difficult things to do, but loyal service.

  764. It is not what we are doing when he returns

  765. that matters so much as what we have been doing

  766. all the time he has been away. Actually, if you

  767. read some of the parables, it's not so much just

  768. what you are doing when he returns, No, what have

  769. you been doing all this while when I was away?

  770. That's why we have to live a life that is

  771. bearing food. If you want to know whether you're Christian

  772. life is a life? Is it bearing fruit? Because that's

  773. what growth happens. When your Christian life is growing, you grow,

  774. I hope not just sight wasays, but you'll grow spiritually

  775. and then you will start to bear food, love, joy, peace,

  776. You not all this will be evident in your life.

  777. And that's why passages like Metew chapter twenty four Revelations

  778. is a reminder that before things get better, it will

  779. get worse.

  780. So all of us Christians.

  781. Again, I'm not one thing to make your feel or scared,

  782. but I think there should be some level of reverence

  783. unto God.

  784. Respect.

  785. If you really respect God, then you will respect his commandments.

  786. Then you will honor his teachings. To be a follower

  787. of Jesus, it's not just to pay lip service. And

  788. that's why the early church I mentioned just now could

  789. look forward to the.

  790. Coming and the return of Jesus.

  791. In fact, right from the very start he just left

  792. the already ask when will he return? And that's where

  793. I told you that one of the shortest prayers in

  794. the Bible was coined in the Aramic language Maran Natah.

  795. It simply means Lord Come. Why were they so eager

  796. for Jesus to return one day? Because they know when

  797. he does, Jesus will come back and he will complete

  798. the good work he had begun in every believer, because

  799. they know that when Jesus returned, he will come back

  800. and fulfill his promises to his chosen people. I really

  801. believe Jesus will come back and fulfill his promises, the

  802. promises he made to Abraham, especially to those who respond

  803. to him in faith. When Jesus returns, he will ultimately

  804. conquer evil. He will evil and the devil will have

  805. no stronghold w lifsoever, and Jesus will return to command

  806. the world. And finally he will return to judge the ungodly.

  807. I pray, as believers of Jesus, followers of Jesus, the

  808. question that we need to ask ourselves, are we ever

  809. ready disciples?

  810. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  811. information on our church, please visit as Church Org. We

  812. are also active on Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that

  813. this week is going to be a good week ahead

  814. for you, God bless
