  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. And this is the Gospel of John. Okay.

  4. So I'm gonna teach from the Gospel of John, and

  5. I hope I don't lose any of you.

  6. Stay with me.

  7. It might be a little bit deep, but I think

  8. you'll all catch me. And I pray that it gives

  9. you a renewed understanding of what the apostle John was

  10. trying to convey. Because when we read the Gospel of John, Okay,

  11. you read chapter one yourself, and I'm gonna read the

  12. first four chapters of the Gospel of John. And this

  13. is how John depicts the Nativity scene. Now he says this, no,

  14. in the beginning, the Word already existed, that our brain's

  15. already exploded.

  16. Huh, what are you talking about? Okay?

  17. And then he goes on to say, the Word was

  18. with God, and the Word was God. He existed in

  19. the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and

  20. nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life

  21. to everything that was created, and in his life brought

  22. light to everyone. And those are the first four verses

  23. of the Gospel of John, it's you know, when we

  24. really we'll be like, what is John talking about? If

  25. you realize the Gospels are actually like biographies. Okay, it's

  26. like biographies of Jesus, but each of them begin with

  27. Jesus' life in quite a different angle and perspective. Okay,

  28. So if you read the book of Mark, Mark decides

  29. to limit the biography of Jesus to the years where

  30. Jesus was actually in the public eye. So if you

  31. start Mark Mark chapter one, it doesn't go or he

  32. was born in a manger, It talks nothing about that.

  33. It goes straight to John the Baptist, and then straight

  34. way it starts with Jesus' entire ministry basically is about

  35. Jesus' ministry in the public eye, influencing men and women

  36. to do good, to follow God. And how Mark started

  37. was actually with John the Baptist. But then when you

  38. flip to Matthew and Matthew starts by this, He's like, Okay,

  39. maybe I'll take it a little bit further back. Okay,

  40. instill just starting join the Baptist. He's like, I'm going

  41. to begin with his birth and then I'm going to

  42. include his ancestors and so what did Matthew referred to.

  43. He actually eluded all the way to Jesus' Jewish ancestry,

  44. and that's why he brings it all the way back

  45. to Abraham. If you study the lineage in Matthew, it

  46. stops at Abraham basically is the beginning of Jewish history.

  47. And that's why until today God is also still known

  48. as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

  49. Okay.

  50. So that's what Matthew decided to do. And then Luke

  51. was like, hmm, let me bring it even further back,

  52. and he's like, I'm going to bring us back all

  53. the way to the ancestry, from the very beginning to

  54. the first man. And that's why if you read the

  55. lineage in Luke, it brings us all the way back

  56. to Adam. And all these answers were actually in line

  57. with the purpose for which each gospel writer wanted to

  58. give of Jesus's life. They missed, they had an angle

  59. that they were taking, They had a focus, and the

  60. way they wrote is helpful for us to understand that.

  61. So Mark wanted to show Jesus as the son of men,

  62. son of men, and that's why he showed Jesus in.

  63. Almost like his.

  64. Full humanity when he was helping different ones, when he

  65. was in his ministry, ministring to the different needs. He

  66. wanted to show Jesus as the man among humanity.

  67. That was his focus.

  68. Matthew wanted to show Jesus as the king of the Jews.

  69. And sometimes when you read Matthew, you will realize that even.

  70. The way it's written.

  71. Actually, if you study the scriptures and you study Matthew carefully,

  72. you realize the way it is written. The Jews who

  73. have the Old Testament, they will fully understand and they

  74. will be able to identify the most actually with Matthew's gospel.

  75. That's one of the reasons why Matthew is actually arranged

  76. as the first of the Gospels, even though it's not

  77. likely to be the one that is first written. Mark

  78. is most likely the one that is written earliest, and

  79. the other gospel writers actually use Mark as a reference.

  80. But it's arranged because as the first of the New

  81. Testament books only because it sort of flows very nicely

  82. from the Old Testament into the New Testament, and you

  83. read Matthew, it makes sense. And so Matthew wanted to

  84. portray Jesus as the king of the Jews, and so

  85. he went all the way back to the beginning of

  86. Jewish history. Yeah, of course, Leuke wanted to show Jesus

  87. as the savior of the world, savior of the world.

  88. That's why he took his family tree right all the

  89. way back to the first man, Adam, and then came John. Okay,

  90. and now focus today is going to be on John.

  91. I'm looking at the time, by the day, I'm going

  92. to be good.

  93. Okay.

  94. John is by this time, probably about eighty years of age.

  95. He had lived longest amongst all the disciples, and he

  96. wanted to show Jesus as the son of God. Okay,

  97. that was his intention. And he thought, where do I begin?

  98. And He's like, I'm going to go back further than

  99. the other tree, beyond Abraham, beyond Adam, right back to

  100. the beginning of the Bible. And that's why he starts

  101. off John chapter one by saying, in the beginning, God

  102. created the heavens and the earth, because he wanted to

  103. focus on jesus'nity. You see, we assume this universe has

  104. been there or has been here forever, but both scripture

  105. and science actually tell us that this universe had a beginning,

  106. that it wasn't always here. Okay, no matter what you

  107. think of the universe, it had a beginning. There was

  108. a day when there was nothing, and then there is

  109. a universe. You see, the human mind cannot imagine infinite.

  110. It's very hard for you to imagine infinity because it's just.

  111. Beyond our imagination.

  112. And so we can't go back beyond the beginning of

  113. our universe. That is almost like the limit of our thinking.

  114. And so John says, I'm going to begin my gospel there,

  115. but I fully realized that I haven't started at the

  116. beginning of Jesus' life even then. Actually, he is acknowledging

  117. even if I bring you all the way back to

  118. the beginning, that is also not the beginning of Jesus's life.

  119. And that's why he says, in the beginning, he already was.

  120. You see his census that it is hard to understand,

  121. it's almost mind boggling. But essentially John was saying, if

  122. you go back as fire as the human mind can imagine,

  123. if you go back as fire as the human mind

  124. can go, and until your imagination stops, he was there.

  125. He was already in existence. That was his emphasis.

  126. And before everything was created, he already existed, and you

  127. are still not at the beginning of Jesus's life. And

  128. the truth is that you never can get to the

  129. beginning of his life, not if he's the son of God.

  130. That was his emphasis.

  131. That was what he was trying to tell his readers,

  132. because if Jesus is just a great man, then he

  133. must have a beginning, because every man, every one of us,

  134. has the beginning. There was a time when eyes I

  135. did not exist, but Jesus never felt that way. If

  136. Jesus is the son of God, you can go back

  137. as far as you want and he's still there. He

  138. always was, God always was, and so there can't ever

  139. be a beginning to his life.

  140. Amen.

  141. Because you notice this, he doesn't say he began before

  142. everything else. He says, before everything.

  143. Else begin he was the statements.

  144. How the words are arranged is baffling, but it's amazing

  145. at the same time.

  146. Amen. And that's why it's actually very very It's.

  147. Not possible to answer the question, and sometimes it is.

  148. I would look at it as a nonsensical kind of questions.

  149. Who made God? We always get that people think it's

  150. a theological question, is a wh deep question when you

  151. ask who made God? But it's actually like asking where

  152. does the circle begin. It's like asking a question that

  153. has no answer on It's not logical because how where

  154. does the circle begin? The circle goes on and on,

  155. it's just looping. So if you ask who made God,

  156. is equally as nonsensical to ask who made God? Because

  157. the Bible says God is from everlasting to everlasting. I know,

  158. just because our brains can fully comprehend the magnitude of

  159. that statement, and that understanding doesn't mean that it's not possible.

  160. And if Jesus was God's son, then he was from

  161. everlasting to everlasting. He always was, and so you could

  162. never begin to write about Jesus' life at the beginning.

  163. Ah okay, yeah, sorry, so you're thinking that I'm doing that,

  164. I'm backing serious, is it?

  165. Okay? We are taking a break for.

  166. Christmas, so the next two weekends, the next two weekends,

  167. we are not doing that. I'm pecking series, so we

  168. learn to write notes. Thank you for bringing your book.

  169. There was actually an announcement am that says that bring

  170. your books back in November. In January. Yeah, it's okay,

  171. it's okay. So for this week and next week is

  172. actually Christmas. I don't know when my wife came up

  173. to me, I thought my fly was down or something

  174. like that. Seriously, seriously, I'm like, uh, I thought you

  175. could just signal me or something. And everyone tell me,

  176. don't do that. I'm pecking series. Okay, okay, anyway, this

  177. is better. Okay, we are not doing that. I'm pecking

  178. series this week and next week and we will we

  179. will continue in January for the next four weeks, the

  180. next four weeks in January.

  181. Okay, I can come back, come back, come back, come everyone. Okay,

  182. I know.

  183. Stress next time we need a sign for if your

  184. fly is open like something. They're like, okay, okay, okay,

  185. so let's let's come back.

  186. Let's come back. So the first phrase in verse.

  187. One of John's Gospel talks about the eternity of Jesus,

  188. and so he's saying, if you go back as far

  189. as your imagination can take you, he was there, and

  190. so we can't cope with it. And so I'm glad

  191. that John said, I won't take you back beyond what

  192. you can imagine. Just go back to the beginning of

  193. the universe, go back to the time when everything was created,

  194. and just understand that from even from that time, he

  195. was already there. And that's how John starts off explaining

  196. the eternity.

  197. Of Jesus, and then he goes on.

  198. He moves on because the second thing that is stated

  199. in verse one is about the personality of Jesus, very

  200. very important.

  201. It says he was with gone.

  202. You see, the word translated with means literally face to face,

  203. face to face with talking with looking at And Jesus

  204. is a real person. He's not a figment of your imagination.

  205. He's not someone who is just whoa or someone in

  206. pictures that I.

  207. Can fully relate to. Do you realize the implication of this.

  208. If Jesus is a person, that's a personality, you see.

  209. I've thought about this.

  210. The statement God is love only makes sense if the

  211. trinity is in existence, because if you are one person,

  212. who are you going to love or how are you

  213. even going to explain love? You can't even explain love,

  214. let alone describe yourself as love.

  215. But God is love. You see that in One.

  216. John, the same author of the Book of John, says

  217. God is love One John, chapter four. It's a mind

  218. boggling thing for us to fully understand. But right from

  219. the beginning in Genesis, we already see the trinity in existence.

  220. In the beginning.

  221. It's not just God in the singler is God's created

  222. the heaven and the earth. That means that God hat

  223. was always there. And so when we say that God

  224. is love, we are saying that God has not been

  225. alone for all eternity, because if there was no other person,

  226. then he couldn't be loved. But there was someone else

  227. because Jesus was there all the time, and Jesus was

  228. God's son, and because they were face to face.

  229. God is love.

  230. The Holy sprint was there well, if you read Genesis,

  231. He's there, hovering, always been there, and so Jesus was

  232. with God from the beginning. It also means we can

  233. say that God is father. God always is father, and

  234. God will always be father, because you can't be a

  235. father unless you have a child. And He has a son,

  236. and he always had a son. You see, for me,

  237. many years of my life I was not a father,

  238. but now I am a father. I've got two kids.

  239. He started at some point, but God was not like that.

  240. God always was a father because he always had a son,

  241. and that son had personality and they were face to

  242. face and he was with God.

  243. Makes sense.

  244. Then John emphasizes on the deity of Jesus, the divine

  245. nature of Jesus. This is the third thing that is

  246. very very important. He says he was God. You see,

  247. there's no highest statement about Jesus in the whole of

  248. the New Testament. And this there is no qualification saying

  249. he was a bead like God, or he was full

  250. of God. No, is none of that, or he's just

  251. like God. No, he says he is God. That means

  252. he want was the same as God, exactly the same.

  253. So what you say about God, you can say about Jesus.

  254. And that's why the statement and the word was God

  255. was panned down. You see, these are the three things

  256. say in verse one. And if you leave anyone of

  257. it out of those three things, you no longer have Christianity.

  258. Because if there is no eternity in Jesus, then he

  259. can't give you everlasting life. If there is no personality

  260. in Jesus, then he can't be your friend and savior.

  261. And if there is no deity in Jesus, then he

  262. can't forgive your sins, because only God can't forgive sins.

  263. Does it make sense.

  264. John makes sense, and reading John chapter one, don't be

  265. afraid of it. Realize what he's trying to convey to us,

  266. because it's powerful. It is because of all these tree

  267. things that the man we call Jesus can do for

  268. you and me what no man can ever do.

  269. There are people who will tell you that.

  270. Jesus is just a man, he's just a prophet, he's

  271. not God, and you must never allow them to convince

  272. you otherwise. He is God and he always was. Amen,

  273. you're still with me, Okay, I'm gonna go deeper some all. Okay,

  274. we're gonna look at the word, the word word ah.

  275. Because.

  276. You must be wondering, why didn't John just begin the

  277. gospel by saying, in the beginning or someone was going

  278. in an inning? Okay, anyway, in the beginning, Jesus was

  279. and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God.

  280. Why didn't he say that?

  281. Why did he introduce this extraordinary phrasing in the beginning

  282. was the word and the word was with God and

  283. the word was God?

  284. That really? Like, why? Dim guy? No?

  285. Because it has left a lot of people are scratching hait.

  286. You see, the word is the first title in John's

  287. Gospel given to Jesus. And every title is given for

  288. a reason and for a purpose.

  289. It's not just there for fun.

  290. And so there are two purposes why he calls Jesus

  291. the word here. The first reason is that the name

  292. Jesus was only given to this person when he was

  293. born in Bethlehem. It was a name given to him,

  294. like his human name. It was not the name that

  295. he had before. It was a name, a human name,

  296. to describe what he came to earth to do. If

  297. you study the word Jesus or the name Jesus, I

  298. think it just means God saves. It's the same as Joshua,

  299. God saves. And that's why it's also the title the Messiah.

  300. The Jews know him as the Messiah. That's what Jesus means.

  301. It did not describe what he did before he was born,

  302. technically it didn't, and so the the word Jesus is

  303. never used of him. Before he was born in Bedlem.

  304. You don't see any reference to Jesus. You don't see

  305. in Isaiah. Even though Isaiah prophesies that the coming Savior

  306. will come, he doesn't say his name is Jesus.

  307. You don't see there in the scriptures. Okay, and so.

  308. It's quite silly to see Jesus was there at the

  309. beginning of creation. That would be sort of inaccurate. He

  310. changed his name when he came to earth.

  311. First reason.

  312. Second reason why John doesn't use the word Jesus until

  313. later in chapter one is that he wants to give

  314. Jesus a title that will describe exactly what he was

  315. before he came to earth. Okay, and so I reckon

  316. this was what he was doing. We we're going to

  317. drink some water. Greek was the main language that was

  318. spoken back then, so they're probably going through the Greek language. Okay,

  319. an understandab bit of the history. And then the Holy

  320. Spirit probably gave him this thought, call him the word?

  321. But why?

  322. Because John is the only man in the New Testament

  323. that calls Jesus the word. What does the word mean? So, yeah,

  324. let's attempt to answer this. Le's attempt you think a

  325. simple understanding of what word is. Well, it's like a

  326. connecting link between two people, a pattern of sound that

  327. expresses the thought of one person's mind and enters into

  328. another person's mind. So as I'm talking, it's either I'm

  329. connecting with you or you have shut me off.

  330. Okay, but it's all true.

  331. The words, okay, providing a link between two persons, So

  332. a word actually expresses one person and enters another.

  333. Can understand.

  334. Jesus is the communicating link between God and people. You see,

  335. God expresses himself in Jesus and Jesus. In Jesus, God

  336. enters people. He is the communication between God and people.

  337. And you will never find God until you find Jesus.

  338. That's why Jesus in John chapter fourteen six says that

  339. no one comes to the Father except true me.

  340. And God has spoken in.

  341. Jesus and true Jesus, God can enter our lives. That's

  342. the simple meaning. The simple meaning, okay. One I think

  343. all of us can grasp.

  344. Okay.

  345. The slightly deeper explanation, which I like to believe that

  346. this is very accurate, is if you study the Greek

  347. language and you study the historicity of the word logos okay,

  348. and so imagine you mean, okay, we got to go

  349. back to that time, okay, when this was being written.

  350. There were many Greek philosophers, Okay, philosophers we know, we

  351. all know who they are. They are the ones that

  352. thing and thing and thing, and then most of that gila.

  353. Then they do PhD. They become doctor of philosophy. Okay, anyway,

  354. Greek philosophers, they were looking out on the world and

  355. they saw nature was changing, They saw people were changing,

  356. they saw history was changing.

  357. They saw that everything was changing, and they.

  358. Asked this philosophical question, is there any meaning of it?

  359. Is there any purpose to it? Is there any pattern

  360. to it? Is there any logic to it? Is there

  361. any logos to it? If you study the historicity of

  362. the word logos, you will see the Greek word logos

  363. is word, That's what it means. People today are asking

  364. the same questions those Greek philosophers ask, because when we

  365. read the news, when we go around in life, this

  366. is what we're always asking. Is there any purpose? Is

  367. there any pattern? Is there any meaning? Is there any logic?

  368. Or is everything that is happening just chaos? We asked that, actually,

  369. our minds are trying to fathom a is trying to

  370. understand what all, what life is all about. The philosophers answered,

  371. there must be there must be a pattern, there must

  372. be a reason, there must be a meaning, there must

  373. be a logic behind life, and the pattern life takes.

  374. So they stir, they search, and they studied. They study nature,

  375. they study history, they study individual people. But they couldn't

  376. find what it's called the logos because they were still searching.

  377. They were still searching for the word, they were still

  378. searching for the reason. They're still searching for the meaning

  379. and the pattern behind everything. But that's how it started logos,

  380. and until today, we're all still looking for these logos

  381. because every time you investigate a new subject, you are

  382. essentially using the word logos. Biology contains the word logos.

  383. It's actually life.

  384. Bios is life, and so biology is actually the study

  385. of life, the reason, the logic, the pattern behind life.

  386. If you're a student of I don't know, psychology is

  387. the study of the logic, the logos, the pattern of

  388. individual behavior. If you're studying sociology is a study of

  389. the meaning and pattern of group behavior.

  390. You see that.

  391. The ology, whether it's archaeology orlogy, entomology, any orgy or orology.

  392. That you can think of. They have all got.

  393. The logos in need, and people still haven't found it

  394. because we're all still studying. You're all still going to school,

  395. paying a lot of money to study and to try

  396. to understand. We're all still looking for the meaning of life,

  397. and they're still asking why it all happened, Is there

  398. any pattern or is it all just chaos. We're still

  399. trying to figure out. We're still arguing on whether it's

  400. the Big Bang or not the Big Bang.

  401. But I tell you what.

  402. The Christian philosophers that came later knew their Bible. They

  403. read the Old Testament, and they remembered God said let

  404. there be light, and there was light. You see, God

  405. didn't merely think. He didn't say. God thought there was light.

  406. And then like all God I don't know, facted and

  407. then like it says, God spoke, God said the word.

  408. They saw that God created the world by the word.

  409. God created the world by the law goss.

  410. And they realized it was the connecting link between God

  411. and nature. God gave a word and nature came to be.

  412. That's amazing. So they were sitting down the Christians, those

  413. who know their Bible, people like I don't know, philoh,

  414. and we got all these different Christian thinkers back then,

  415. and they realized when.

  416. God speaks, the pattern of nature flows.

  417. And then when the apostle John came along, he is

  418. piecing all these things together. And then he realized the

  419. meaning you have been looking for, the reason, what holds

  420. the world together, what explains the reasons.

  421. And the pattern of life? You know what.

  422. I know him. He's not saying I know it. I

  423. know I can explain or what he says. I know him,

  424. and I can tell you his name. And that's why

  425. John writes in the beginning, was the logos, the word,

  426. the reason, the pattern, and he was always there. This logos,

  427. this pattern of life you are looking for, is personal.

  428. He was a person face to face with God. You

  429. will not find these logos in nature because this logos

  430. was God.

  431. Does it makes sense the logos?

  432. You know, with all our advanced knowledge, we still can't

  433. find the meaning of the universe. We still can't see

  434. what holds it together. But listen to the New Testament.

  435. In Hebrews chapter one, verse three, he says, the sun

  436. sustaining all things by his powerful word, all things that

  437. you see, the entire ecosystem is sustained by the word

  438. of God. Because once you find him, you have found

  439. why it all hangs together. You have found the person

  440. who is the reason for it all. And that's why.

  441. In Collosons chapter one, verses sixteen to seventy. It says

  442. all things were created by him, and for him. He

  443. is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

  444. Makes sense. God's scriptures are amazing. God made the whole

  445. universe for Jesus. He is the logos. He's the one

  446. who holds it all together, and he was the one

  447. who was busy making it all. So how is this

  448. word significant to us today?

  449. Well?

  450. Very because if you study it, you go through it,

  451. you know him personally, you will realize how amazing he is,

  452. the logos, was the agent in creation.

  453. You see.

  454. John moves us to this amazing thought. He says, you know,

  455. when God made the world, he didn't make one single

  456. thing without Jesus, because Jesus was always there.

  457. We've God.

  458. And so if God is creator, and I know sometimes

  459. when even when we recite the Apostles Creed I believe

  460. in God, the Father, Almighty, creator of the heaven and Earth,

  461. then only I believe in Jesus Christ, his only son.

  462. But if you study the scriptures, you realize that even

  463. Jesus Christ is creator of the whole universe because Jesus

  464. was always there. If you look at the beautiful trees

  465. around you. Do you realize Jesus made the trees before

  466. he started even making the chairs and tables from the trees.

  467. He was a carpenter, but only later when he came

  468. and took the form of a human. But even before that,

  469. he really created the trees. Even before he he's sailed

  470. on the Sea of Galilee, before he walked on water,

  471. he already created it. And that's why sometimes if you

  472. think about what Jesus did, you shouldn't be so Woh.

  473. You know, Jesus walk on water. That's like the coolest

  474. thing ever. Yes, it is the coolest thing ever. Really,

  475. I wish I could walk on water, and I believe

  476. in Jesus name, we can actually walk on water. So

  477. let that not even baffle as the fact that Jesus

  478. can walk on water. Why not, because he created it

  479. all right from the very beginning. Jesus, long before he

  480. came down here to help me, Jesus was already doing everything.

  481. He was the contrary that God employed to bring into

  482. being the universe in which we all live in. So

  483. we have to realize this, that he was the agent

  484. of creation, not only that he is the source of life.

  485. You see John begin his gospel here because this is

  486. the first thing Jesus did that affects me. There is

  487. something more wonderful than making trees and mountains. And yes,

  488. we know God created all the nature that we have,

  489. but then he saved the best for the last.

  490. Actually, he made life. And understand that.

  491. Because it says that only when it came to the

  492. creation of me and you. He says we are made

  493. in God's image, and that's why we reflect a God

  494. who is love. We reflect people who are able to

  495. relate with one another because God himself is love. In God,

  496. Father loves sons, son love, Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit love

  497. father and son. And it's a relational identity. And that's

  498. why when God says we are created in his image,

  499. only we have the power to relate.

  500. With one another. You don't see that in nature.

  501. You don't see that in the animal kingdom in that sense,

  502. it's not at that level. It's only maybe for procreation.

  503. But the kind of relations that we have with one

  504. another humans is because we are created and given life.

  505. And if you think about it, just one life cell,

  506. it's so complex, you know, one DNA, How complex is it.

  507. It's not something that you can like Ooh, let's just

  508. go and make this, because nobody has ever tried to

  509. make some I don't know what they have made, like

  510. they tried making Dolly and creating different things. But the

  511. reality is trying to even understand human genome. It's not

  512. something that our find night minds can actually fully understand.

  513. How do you think that first little cell of life

  514. appeared so complicated straight away? You see, science has lost

  515. the answer to this or never found it. And I

  516. will tell you in him was life. And this is

  517. the big view of Jesus. And that is exactly what

  518. John wants to begin with. Before you look at a

  519. baby in a manger at Bethlehem, before you look at

  520. a young man of thirty years of age being baptized

  521. in the river Jordan, or someone who went around doing good,

  522. someone who died at the age of the day tree,

  523. before you consider all those facts, considered this. He was

  524. always there. Jesus always was. He was with God, He

  525. was God, and he was with God making everything that

  526. is giving life. And I think that's a thought that

  527. should really leave us in awe of who we worship.

  528. Amen.

  529. And then verse fourteen verse fourteen of John Chapter one

  530. says this so the Word became human and made his

  531. home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.

  532. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the

  533. Father's one and only son. You see the good news

  534. is this. The Word became a human being, the Word

  535. became flesh. This is so marvelous. I can't fully understand

  536. how that could happen. You know, no matter how we relate,

  537. no we try to empathize people, we try to sympathize

  538. with people, we are still relating from the same level

  539. of creature to creature, creation to creation. I may be rich,

  540. you may be poor. If I go down to your level.

  541. We are all created beings. But this is Creator coming

  542. down to the level of creation. It's something that no

  543. matter how you imagine, if you think you become a back,

  544. you try to identify with the bacteria and you become

  545. a bacterial, is not even close to Creator coming down

  546. to the level of his creation.

  547. That is God's love for us. Amen.

  548. The logos behind the whole universe, the meaning that people

  549. have sought. The one who brought it all into being

  550. has stepped into what he has made.

  551. Jesus loves each and every one of you.

  552. And I pray that we will never ever have doubts

  553. about who he is, about his divinity, about his eternity,

  554. because the world will continue attacking all these areas. They

  555. will tell you, don't believe in this man. What did

  556. this man do? He did nothing. No, he came and

  557. left us in the lurch, and now everyone's just chasing around, Brandy. No,

  558. he was there from the beginning. He's here with us

  559. now and he'll be with us forever more. He came

  560. right here as a human being. And John says, we

  561. have seen his glory. You know the response we're going

  562. to respond today is the final him. Jennet, I can't

  563. remember us, the final him that you're saying, Oh, come,

  564. are you faithful.

  565. We're going to live our voices. We're going to sing

  566. unto him.

  567. We're going to declare Jesus, because that is the glory

  568. that he deserves. If you have seen Jesus properly, you

  569. have seen somebody unique, the only son of God. It

  570. could only be him. The radiance of his personality, the

  571. glory shining from his face and his life, this could

  572. only be the Son of God. And that's why John says,

  573. we know the secret of the universe. Personally, we don't

  574. know what's behind it all, but we personally know who's

  575. behind it all. We may not fully understand create and

  576. why in the house doesn't matter. As long as you

  577. know who the creator is, that's what matters most. And

  578. verse eighteen he reads as such, no one has ever

  579. seen God, but the unique one, who is himself God,

  580. is near to the Father's heart. He has revealed God

  581. to us. I'm gonna invite the bandam I'm almost done.

  582. I told you I won't take wrong. I know there's

  583. a lot for us to ponder, but this is what

  584. John means as he sums up in verse eighteen of

  585. his introduction. He says, no one has ever seen God.

  586. The God who was forever beyond the reach of our senses,

  587. has been made known by Jesus, and that's why. Later

  588. in John's Gospel, John tells how a man came to Jesus.

  589. And this man actually is Philip. And this is a

  590. portion of scripture that I think we we always talk

  591. about in funerals. No, I've got first before you to create,

  592. to prepare the rooms.

  593. And then.

  594. Philip and Jesus was having a conversation, and so Philip.

  595. Was telling Jesus, no, you've told us.

  596. So many things, but there's one thing you haven't done.

  597. You haven't shown us God. Just show us God. Let's

  598. see God and there will be enough. We will be satisfied.

  599. This is Philip talking to Jesus. And then think not

  600. of what Jesus said. He says, Philip, I've been with

  601. you three years. Don't you know me yet? Now it's

  602. quite a staggering thing in that answer, because Jesus didn't

  603. say don't you know God yet? But rather he says,

  604. have I been with you Philip so long that you

  605. don't know me? Do you see that Jesus is essentially saying,

  606. if you know me, you know God. It's a claim

  607. that it is either you are giler, you're crazy to

  608. make a claim like that, or you are really God.

  609. Have you been looking for God? Have you been searching

  610. for the meaning to life? Do you look out and

  611. see chaos? Do you read the news and wonder where

  612. it's all this hating? To what's all this about? But yet,

  613. you know, think about it when you look at nature

  614. and a lot of us love to appreciate nature. I

  615. know Eli loves going to dive it's so beautiful. So

  616. we go on holidays to the Alps, to all the

  617. different places.

  618. No you can camping.

  619. The world is raining, and you enjoy the wonders of

  620. God's creation. And do you actually ask yourself if any

  621. of this is it a pattern or is it by

  622. pure chance? Because I want you to know nothing is

  623. by pure chance, nothing is by chaos. God don't create

  624. the beauty of nature out of a palm a bang.

  625. You may study signs until your face turns blue, and

  626. you still won't find it because the logos is not

  627. to be found in there. The logos is with God.

  628. The reason for it all is in Him. And I

  629. tell you that as soon as you find Jesus, you

  630. have found the meaning. You have found the key that

  631. unlocks life and its purpose. Isn't that exciting? And this

  632. is my discovery of who Christ is? And that's where

  633. John began his gospel. He said, I'm beginning by telling

  634. you about something you have all been searching for. The

  635. Only thing is that we are not searching for something.

  636. We're all searching for someone, all of us. I pray,

  637. I pray that we all find this someone, because I

  638. want you all to know that Jesus always was the

  639. reason for this season.
