  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. When I was praying on what to share on revival, right,

  4. and I realized that actually revival starts with hearing. Let

  5. us think in revival starts with hearing. Now, a few

  6. foundations that I want.

  7. To lay first. Firstly, does God speak?

  8. What do you think does God speak? I think it's

  9. a resounding yes.

  10. All right?

  11. What are the ways? In what ways does God speak?

  12. Words? Obviously words? What else? In many ways?

  13. Like you?

  14. Because we gotta help each adela, so can you be

  15. very specific because we are here to learn.

  16. The practical parts about the Word of God? Right? Uh,

  17. you know, yeah, many ways. But what are some of

  18. the tangible ways that God speaks? I heard words? What

  19. kind of words? Through what? Throughout medium? True scripture? All right?

  20. So you know that in the Old Testament God spoke.

  21. It seems as though when you read your Bible, right,

  22. it seems as though God was speaking audibly.

  23. Yeah, right?

  24. So like an example of how when God called Samuel

  25. a little boy Samuel, and he was sleeping and God

  26. called him Samuel Samuel, and then he ran to who

  27. eli right, his men thought at time, and he said,

  28. did you call me? Then Eli said, no, I'm sleeping,

  29. go back to sleep.

  30. Right.

  31. Three times he heard the voice of the Lord and

  32. he thought it was Eli, right, and then suddenly he likenah, oh,

  33. I think someone is calling you.

  34. The man above is calling you. Then he told Eli

  35. what to Samuel what to do?

  36. Right?

  37. Uh?

  38. You know that Moses spoke with God face to face.

  39. You know, if there's any one who ever spoke to

  40. God faced almost face to face that but God says,

  41. you know you cannot see my face or else you will.

  42. You cannot hand my glory.

  43. But he had a close intimate encounter with God, right,

  44. not just one encounter relationship.

  45. Right.

  46. So you know that in the olden days, in the

  47. olden days, in the by Old Testament, God spoke to

  48. them audibly.

  49. What about in the New Testament?

  50. Tell me what are some of the ways which God speaks.

  51. Dreams and interpretation okay, yes, visions okay, Visions and dreams okay, okay,

  52. what else? Signs and wonders Okay, I'm some more.

  53. Some more? Nature and creation some more? Some more?

  54. Sorry, true, Paul, okay, okay, yes, yes, that a lot

  55. of the New Testament is written by Paul, So definitely,

  56. I think we're missing the key and the biggest one Jesus.

  57. It took us a while to get there.

  58. Jesus made flesh. Yes, so Jesus himself was the Word

  59. of God who became human to come and speak to us.

  60. Amen. So Jesus is speaking true the Word.

  61. And of course when Jesus ascended to heaven, he left

  62. the Holy.

  63. Spirit, and so now we can hear the Holy Spirit. Okay,

  64. so we have to firstly establish that God speaks all right.

  65. Then the next question is this, why do we want

  66. to hear God? Have you ever asked yourself? Actually? Why

  67. am I? You know, there's this question that's going on

  68. in my mind, like, actually, why do we want to

  69. hear God?

  70. Roight, what do you think? Why do we want to

  71. hear from God? For you very holy answer to walk

  72. in His will?

  73. How many of you want to hear from God because

  74. you want to walk in His will? Yeah?

  75. Okay, well, I see hands lifted up and it's good.

  76. But usually right, usually we seek God's voice, especially in

  77. times of decision, true or not? Ah, So let's go

  78. through something. So majority of the time when we say

  79. I cannot hear God?

  80. Right?

  81. Is at those times when we're desperate, were that spray

  82. for an answer?

  83. True or not?

  84. If life is like normal? Right, do you have this question?

  85. How come I know hear from God?

  86. God?

  87. No? God?

  88. No? Leesla Le's right? So usually it'd.

  89. Be like those times are you're desperate, you have to

  90. take either left or right.

  91. You know, if you just finish your high schooling life,

  92. which college do I go to? Right?

  93. Those are the big live decisions or which girls shall

  94. I marry?

  95. You know, in this congregation, those kind of big decisions.

  96. Then we say, how come God is not speaking? Okay?

  97. So we one direction we want guidance for decisions is

  98. what should I do?

  99. Right?

  100. So maybe the underlying motive of why we want to

  101. hear from God it is like okailer, So the motive

  102. for John is, you.

  103. Know, I want to know his will so that I

  104. do the right thing correct, so that I'm doing the

  105. right thing. Okay.

  106. So let's go to the next point is what else

  107. do we seek God for? So it's direction and the

  108. next one is reassurance or comfort?

  109. True or not.

  110. We heard a lot of this just now when you

  111. meditated on the word of God's scripture.

  112. Some of you had the impression was that me Hello, Oh,

  113. that was God. God was speaking to you.

  114. Right, and it comes in the form of reassurance, comfort,

  115. especially during challenging times, uncertain times. So the question then

  116. you are asking, is God, are you with me or not?

  117. Are you still with me? So challenging? You know, I'm sick,

  118. let body, you know, everything is pain. Are you with

  119. me still?

  120. We want that assurance and that therefore we want to

  121. hear God. Right, God, just tell me that you're still

  122. with me in this right, That's why we want to

  123. hear from God. What is the third point? What else

  124. do we want to hear from God? Confirmation?

  125. Try not?

  126. Sometimes you already receive the Word, and can I tell

  127. you the Word tells you what God wants to speak

  128. to you, if only you will listen and not harden

  129. your heart.

  130. Right.

  131. Remember in Hebrews it says that insums if you will

  132. listen to him and not harden your heart.

  133. So I believe this is.

  134. My personal conviction that God is speaking all the time.

  135. It's just that most of the time we are not listening.

  136. We are not listening, you know, so we cannot say

  137. how come God doesn't speak it's just that we are

  138. not postured to hear from him. Right, and just now

  139. you read it was be still and know that I

  140. am God.

  141. Okay, we're gonna.

  142. Get into the key of how to really hear from

  143. the Lord. Okay, so is this really you? Let's go

  144. to the next one. Next one is correction?

  145. Ah. How many of you say, God, I want to

  146. hear from you any wrong things in my life?

  147. Ha?

  148. Anyone less sir? Right? Oh God?

  149. Okay, that's your sister Joey. Many of us don't even

  150. come to this stage of saying God, I want to

  151. hear you show me where in my life is not right.

  152. We don't get to this stage many of us, honestly,

  153. honestly the first three. Yes, we want direction, we want

  154. some confirmation, we want assurance and comfort.

  155. But how many of us come to God and just say, God,

  156. which area of my life is not right? Can you

  157. show it to me or not?

  158. Most of us don't even dare to pray that prayer

  159. right on there to get there. We're like, Gods, okay,

  160. you skip over this. Let's stop at one two entry.

  161. Let's not do for okay, because it's saying God, what

  162. do I need to change. It's a hard winer, Okay,

  163. So we.

  164. Run away from this and finally, finally, I think, above

  165. all elmost, all these other motives for one thing to

  166. hear from God, most of the time we miss the

  167. ultimate reason for one thing to hear from God. And

  168. this is the final one. Relationship and intimacy. We want something.

  169. We want God to tell us boyfriend A or boyfriend B. Right,

  170. we want us to tell God PwC or ey.

  171. We want God to give us those kinds of things.

  172. What do I do? But we forget that. Actually, what

  173. God is after is this, you know.

  174. This relationship with us. It's not just telling you what

  175. to do, right, It's a real relationship. Is like do

  176. you know me?

  177. Do you know me? Do you want to know me? So?

  178. I think we want to get here. Yeah. Amen.

  179. And even as we go into this prayer of season,

  180. season of prayer and fasting, you turn this coming Saturday.

  181. In fact, we have to start preparing right now.

  182. Are we going to go into our prayer time with

  183. a prayer list? Lord, pray for this, pray for this,

  184. pray for this, pray for this. Right, but it should

  185. be God, I just want to know you. Let that

  186. be your first and foremost. I want to know you.

  187. That's the reason why I'm praying. That's the reason why

  188. I'm fasting.

  189. I want to know you more. Amen. Amen.

  190. Okay, So let's we've established that God still speaks. We've

  191. established why we want to hear from God.

  192. So let's go into how right, very practical, how do

  193. we hear from God? How do we hear from God?

  194. I think many people struggle with this? Correct not? Okay,

  195. So let's be honest.

  196. How many of you, if someone asks you how do

  197. you hear from God? You are confident to be able

  198. to say, yes, this is how I hear from God?

  199. Anyone?

  200. No, okay, anyone got more doubts? And you kind of like, okay,

  201. share me, share me?

  202. What is? How do we actually hear from God? Nobody?

  203. Are we neutral? Right now? Who wants to hear from God?

  204. Who wants to know how to hear from God? Okay?

  205. Half of you? The rest of you I don't know.

  206. Okay, So let let's go into how we can hear

  207. from God?

  208. Okay, now I want to go.

  209. Let us go back to It starts by knowing. Remember

  210. I told you that knowing and hearing Revival starts with

  211. knowing God. Yeah, revival starts with knowing God and how

  212. we hear from God.

  213. It starts from this place.

  214. Of knowing, being intimate, being in a relationship with God.

  215. Okay, So now.

  216. Let's go and study a little bit of this word no.

  217. Do you know that no is also in our vision statement?

  218. But the earth should be.

  219. Filled with the knowledge of the glory of the lot, right, No,

  220. this is no is a very big word man.

  221. You know, when I first became a Christian, one of

  222. the things that really struck me, right was when the

  223. preacher at that time, I can't remember who said that, actually,

  224. this word is so intimate. It says that Abraham. Okay,

  225. I want to use Conchin, but never mind, Abraham knew

  226. Sarah and then they had a child, right, it did

  227. not something that's very close, something that will actually cause.

  228. Life to be birth to be formed. They're kind of knowing,

  229. you know.

  230. And do you know that if you know God, if

  231. you know your Shepherd, there's going to be life in you.

  232. Amen. If you don't know God, then there is no life.

  233. There is death in us. Do you know that? Actually,

  234. if we do not Christ at all, right, we're all

  235. walking day. That's what the scripture says.

  236. The scripture says that all of us have fallen, you know,

  237. short of the glory of God, and we've fallen into sin,

  238. and therefore the penalty of sin is death.

  239. So there's no way out. So actually we're all walking

  240. day until Jesus came and until we knew him and

  241. we call him our personal Lord and Savior. Then that

  242. is breath of life. Do you know?

  243. I was just talking to Bradley just now, you know,

  244. and we were just talking about prince versus priest.

  245. You know, she didn't skip church. She attends church.

  246. You know, she's in cyberjayah, and everything is fm in

  247. the womb the baby, everything is from except the lungs

  248. because the more the baby is delivered, and you know

  249. what they have to do slip the butt right for

  250. what so that the baby will take the first breath

  251. and open up the lungs so that there is life.

  252. Amazing right God, How amazing God is? And do you

  253. know that when you encounter God.

  254. Whoa life comes into you, Amen that praise God.

  255. I think God deserves the praise that when he comes into.

  256. Our life, there's the breath of God. That there's the whah,

  257. the spirit of God that is alive in us. Wow.

  258. Hey, friends, if you're a believer in Christ and you

  259. know God right, there's no reason for you to keep quiet.

  260. Amen.

  261. Just like the baby cries out with the whole lungs.

  262. It's a sign of health, you know, it's a sign

  263. of health. If your baby not healthy, wa ah, then

  264. you're like God. You're like your baby shouting. God is

  265. alive with the first breath.

  266. And I know grandmother jack right, I'm sure when she

  267. was so excited.

  268. For the delivery of the first grandchild. Whoa, that first

  269. cry is a cry unto God. Amazing?

  270. How God is so so amazing? All right, so let's

  271. let's go now. No, no, okay, what is the word is?

  272. Let's go to the next one. There is a Hebrew word.

  273. It means to YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA.

  274. No, no, don't use it, YadA YadA, YadA. But to

  275. YadA what does it mean?

  276. It means to perceive, to see, to find out, to

  277. be acquainted with, to recognize, to acknowledge, to confess and intimate. Okay,

  278. so this is what no means and more Okay, I

  279. think the English vocalibulary doesn't adequately capture everything.

  280. The full breath of No who God is. Amen. So

  281. this is what No is. Now let's go to the

  282. next light.

  283. So I'm gonna give you a few perspectives on how

  284. we actually hear from God in this four quadrant.

  285. Right, it's k N O W. So the first one,

  286. of course is to know him. How well do you

  287. know him? So if I ask, if your friend asks you,

  288. how do you know God?

  289. What would you say to your friend? Julie read the Bible.

  290. Let's go straight to it right now. How many of

  291. you read the Bible?

  292. Good?

  293. And it's something that we sometimes we take for granted,

  294. right we say, okay, let's just read the Bible. Lah,

  295. But can I ask you another question? When you read

  296. the Bible, did they bring life to you?

  297. You have to test it.

  298. You have to test your because it's not so much

  299. that maybe your Bible version is not so good. Lad,

  300. that's why he's not speaking to you. Maybe you're saying

  301. it's a wrong version. Maybe you're saying and nothing is

  302. speaking to me. Have you heard of that before? Nothing

  303. is speaking to me. I read it like five times,

  304. but it's just like numbers. But I think it's nothing

  305. to do with the word. It's everything to do with

  306. us our posture. How are we coming are we? Are

  307. we coming from an intellectual viewpoint? Okay, let me just

  308. read the Bible. Let me know everything that there is

  309. to know about You know what the scriptures are, and

  310. that's it. You're looking for an intellectual stimulation. If you

  311. come to the Word of God with that kind of

  312. intellectual stimulation, can I tell you that many times you'll

  313. go away disappointed because you'll say, this doesn't make sense.

  314. It's not logical.

  315. How can a man who is dead four days be

  316. raised to death be.

  317. Raised to life? Right? Logically? Does it make sense or not? Nola?

  318. Then what we do We take.

  319. A Jesus and we cut the scriptures. You say this

  320. one cannot believe. This, one cannot believe, right, If that's

  321. our motive of reading the Word of God. Now, I

  322. you know when I was preparing this, right then God

  323. dropped this verse to me. And I want to say

  324. this to you. Okay, So Church, my encouragement to you

  325. is this, Let's go to the next life. God says,

  326. don't do your quiet time. Don't do your quiet time. Okay,

  327. So those are online watching me right now, you're saying, whoa,

  328. this is blessed for me?

  329. Right?

  330. What is this church elder telling me don't do your

  331. quiet time? Because it seems right now that quiet time

  332. becomes an activity, it becomes a checklist. Right, So Leader

  333. asked to you, eron, you gotta do your quiet time

  334. or not?

  335. Ah?

  336. God, I read one verse, laugh, I say thank you

  337. Lord for my lunch.

  338. I pray what okay? No, no, this is not exactly

  339. I'm just using him as escapegoat. So we do quiet time?

  340. So so church, don't do quiet.

  341. Time instead, what God wants us to do is be quiet.

  342. It's very different, you know, doing a quiet time versus

  343. being quiet and posturing ourselves to listen to God is

  344. two very different things.

  345. Do you see that or not? Now?

  346. Maybe I think I want to ask people now, hey,

  347. you gotta do your quiet time. Now I want to

  348. ask how's your quality time? How's your quality time with

  349. the Lord? Because when I say what's your quality time?

  350. You cannot say, oh I did a really er No,

  351. I'm asking you how is your quality time? Because the

  352. greatest can I tell you, the greatest joy and reward

  353. that you go into being a place of stillness and

  354. being quiet and listening from the Lord.

  355. Is you come away not with an answer.

  356. You come away saying God, I'm with you, I have

  357. been with you, and that is all that matters. You know,

  358. you might not get your answers yet, you might not

  359. know what job.

  360. You need to go into. Yet it does not matter,

  361. because what matter was God, you are with me. I

  362. knew you.

  363. That is the that's the assets of knowing whether we

  364. have been with the Lord.

  365. So just do you see that?

  366. It's much deeper than Okay, I worship, I sang one song.

  367. You know, I prayed for all the lists I you know,

  368. I read the Bible one chapter and then you go

  369. away there you're like, actually, what.

  370. Do you read? I can't remember true or not most

  371. of it. You're smart, right, because it's not only me.

  372. You go away and then someone as said, actually, what

  373. did you read today? I don't know? Lah, what did

  374. God speak to you? He didn't see anything?

  375. So, friends, can you see what I'm getting at? You

  376. already know what you want to get into, right, meaning

  377. you want to get into this place where you're just

  378. hungry for God, like saying, I'm gonna put all these

  379. things aside, I'm gonna.

  380. Put all my prayer lists aside. I'm gonna put my

  381. my agenda. I'm here for your agenda. What are you

  382. one thing to say to me, Lauren?

  383. Sometimes it's a word of reassurance. Sometimes it's an admonishment,

  384. it's a rebuke. Sometimes it's just saying, go and be

  385. a blessing. Do you know that every day God wants.

  386. To speak to us.

  387. It's just that we've either we brushed him aside, we

  388. didn't acknowledge him, We didn't enter. They didn't have the

  389. right posture to enter before our king. And that's why

  390. you know, if you come chinchang inside to see a king, right,

  391. do you think he.

  392. Will lie on you or not? Nola? Hello, come on church,

  393. Let's have some respect. Can or not? Let's have some

  394. respect to whom we are meeting. Our posture should be one.

  395. Of laying down, prostrating before the Lord, saying that you

  396. are Lord, I am not. If you really want to

  397. get right with God, you have to say God, it

  398. is you, it's.

  399. Not me, it's not about me.

  400. I feel that that's always what we miss, and therefore

  401. it becomes routine, mechanical boring.

  402. And then we stopped straight.

  403. We stopped doing after a while, and then sometimes you

  404. walk with Christians right the tree years in church, God,

  405. do quiet that one was the last time you opened

  406. the Bible for yourself two years ago when I was

  407. in church. Come on, Church, I think we we've gone

  408. way past, you know, the baby stage where we need

  409. to be fed. Every time you tell me what to do.

  410. Know you as matured sayings of the Lord. I'm calling

  411. you that, our friends, you are saints of the Lord.

  412. You need to learn how to feed yourself.

  413. You need to learn how to go and know how

  414. to get into God's presence because without God's presence, there

  415. is no power. And that's why we are in effective Christians.

  416. That's why we are bound by fear. Everything also cannot

  417. I cannot, I cannot, I cannot. You see how weak

  418. we are as Christians, how loud to be effective in

  419. the world.

  420. It's because we have not built that place, that secret

  421. place be God. You know the mighty things that Jesus

  422. could do, It's because of the secret place that he

  423. spent with the Father. If Jesus had to you know,

  424. Jesus is modeling for us the way that to.

  425. Be strengthened, to be strong, to be assured, to have authority.

  426. It comes from that secret, quiet place and I cannot

  427. I cannot tell you to do it.

  428. You will have to do it yourself.

  429. We can't monitor you, not a hello erin you go

  430. into your ciet place or not. Maybe the leaders will

  431. check that, but you yourself know whether you have met

  432. with the Lord right, Only you, yourself would have the

  433. assetus to say, God, I've been with you, and you

  434. know what, there's't matter who else is gonna.

  435. I'm every morning, I'm.

  436. Waking up, I'm excited. I'm running, you know, I'm running

  437. to my cordet place because like God, Yes, new fresh

  438. man are today fresh mana do you know? God wants

  439. to give us fresh manner? Hey, whatever you learn, you know,

  440. Oh it's okay, write it down. It's it's principles that

  441. you learn. But God wants to give you fresh manner. Hello, friends,

  442. do you want fresh break from God or not?

  443. He wants to feed you, He wants to feed you,

  444. grow you.

  445. But we're like, yeah, it's okay. I don't want to

  446. make time for him. You know some kids, right, they're

  447. so lazy. Right, you put foot in the mouth and

  448. you have to like put them qu qu que.

  449. My mom was like that.

  450. She told us a story when she was really young. Right,

  451. she would just daydream and then her grandmother will put

  452. the foot inside the mouth and then she.

  453. Just sit there for one hour.

  454. Then she has to take a pin from her hair

  455. show her. No, hey, chu chu, hey, you don't want

  456. me to take a pin from my hair.

  457. I don't have pin in my head? Did you show you? Right?

  458. Holy Spirit wal to show you and take way? Hello?

  459. Are you serious with me? And not? Hey? Do you

  460. want to be serious with God? This? Yere? Do you

  461. want to grow? We all want a grower, you know,

  462. because this is this is what it's all about.

  463. If we don't know God, we don't know the word,

  464. then I don't know what else we know. You might

  465. know everything in the world. Now AI can help you

  466. with that.

  467. But if you don't know God, you had lost you

  468. are lost yourself. But Jesus is here today. He says,

  469. come back amen, Now the test? Right?

  470. Sometimes we want to hear like okay, so I'm giving

  471. you guidance now in terms of it, like sometimes when

  472. we want to hear from God for specific things.

  473. Now, right, how do we actually test?

  474. Can I tell you the biggest test and the very

  475. important test is the test of scripture. Okay, So many

  476. of you say, are you actually never read the Bible before?

  477. So don't know what God says? War So, because you

  478. don't know what God says, then how can you make

  479. decisions in accordance to his will?

  480. Like what John says, I want God, we want a shortcut, right.

  481. We don't want to read the whole textbook. We say, God,

  482. you just give me the answer to question the te.

  483. True or not. Let's say you're taking an EXAMA.

  484. You have a whole textbook, right, You're supposed to study

  485. to find the answer, right. But many of us we

  486. come to praying and hearing from God. You tell me,

  487. answer to thirty nine is what? Answer to thirty is what?

  488. And then we just answer right because we just want

  489. to get it right, and we think, yes, I score.

  490. Hey, hello, life is not about scoring, you know. Okay.

  491. So some areas are that I'm going to touch on

  492. that you might feel a bit out and okay, because

  493. God's work.

  494. Is like that. Wanna it will out youla, it will

  495. wake you up. Okay.

  496. So number one area of relationship, let's go area relationship.

  497. I want to say this to our young people and

  498. this is written in the word of God from Second Cridan.

  499. You don't believe me, you go and read the book

  500. of Second Corinthians.

  501. Do not be unequally yoke with unbelievers. Is it clear

  502. or not clear?

  503. So straightforward? No, God doesn't means it's words. Okay, we

  504. have all these kinds of excuse.

  505. Us they became? Did God really say that? You know that?

  506. That is? Can I tell you that that's how the

  507. devil deceived? If you are being deceived?

  508. You know, because what the devil planted in Eve's head

  509. was just seeds of doubt. Did God really say, cannot

  510. eat from the truth that fruit, cannot eat the fruit

  511. from that tree?

  512. Did God really say that?

  513. Many of you, if you're thinking this, you're saying, did

  514. God really say this?

  515. Why God's so unmerciful? What about the unbelievers?

  516. They also need to get saved, what you know, and

  517. when I'm with them, I can save them.

  518. You know, hello, Really the only one.

  519. Doing saving is Jesus. Okay, we don't do the saving

  520. friends relationships.

  521. Let's go quickly to the next point.

  522. What other areas ethical decision? Sometimes we ask God like,

  523. oh God, you know, do I do this? Business deal

  524. or not.

  525. I'm talking to all our business owners now, oh, I'm

  526. talking to all of us. We are paying texts? Hey,

  527. you know text is around the corner, summission of text? Right?

  528. Are you? I want more tax? Reliever? Do do do?

  529. Do do? Do?

  530. Okay, never mind what there's a meta. You know they

  531. won't check me on, won't audit me on? Right, and

  532. God's what says the Lord. The tests dis honor sciales,

  533. but accurate waits fine favor with him? Heyo, you want

  534. favor with God or not? Do you want favor? We

  535. got friends? Then why you going chips kate ler?

  536. You have to pay?

  537. You know, I think other pingle prickages before right, get

  538. to sees that what he sees us?

  539. La?

  540. Give to God? What is God?

  541. Give to God? Your integrity can or not? I have

  542. to remind myself this.

  543. You know. Sometimes it's easy to say, yeah, it's Okayla.

  544. You just put all the text released, right, no medical

  545. bill also just put in there.

  546. It's a honest Lah. And then you think about it.

  547. You why is my hushole deceitfuler? God so overs few

  548. ring its right?

  549. We disobey the Lord and we risk falling out of

  550. favor with him. So, friends, can I encourage you that

  551. God's word is very straightforward. It's just that sometimes, uh,

  552. we read it, then we don't do anything about it. Okay,

  553. let's move on. Let's move on to the next one. Emotions. Huh.

  554. We are led by emotions, friends, Many of our decisions

  555. are led by emotions.

  556. Agree or not?

  557. I feel, Sola, I feel this prompting. You know, I

  558. really like this girl. You know, she's the most beautiful

  559. girl I've ever seen in my life.

  560. You know, she makes me feel like a man. Gonna

  561. wa this verse. But emotions, right, feelings, feelings, you know,

  562. you on the ceiling.

  563. There's this part about us, this you know. Unforgiveness is one.

  564. Of the big, big thing in our lives.

  565. And we say, well, I cannot forgive this brother who's

  566. sin against me. I cannot forgive this leader who says

  567. something about me, you know, call me out or whatever

  568. wrong me. Then God's what says this war, get rid

  569. of all bitterness, rage and anger forgiving each.

  570. Other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.

  571. Hey, hello, you mean God God's work provided for all

  572. these things. He did, you know, because he knows that

  573. we are humans. And that the many things that we

  574. need guidance on. Hey, so hello, guidance is given ready

  575. a scripture. Okay, I need to move on.

  576. Let's go on. Let's move on to the next light. Priorities.

  577. No time lah to do this, no time lave to invite,

  578. no time law to serve, no time law for anything. Okay?

  579. And what is God's word? You say you want God

  580. to speak to you? Right?

  581. God speak to me about my life?

  582. And God says, sicks the kingdom of God, and all

  583. these things shall be added unto you.

  584. So he's speaking already. What are you doing about it?

  585. Next verse hah Emphesians five. This is God's reminder to us.

  586. He's speaking to us. He says, dear ex church, be

  587. very careful then, how you live making the most of

  588. every opportunity? Have we been making the best of every

  589. opportunity given to us?

  590. Amen? Oh sa, some of you are thinking, oh, actually

  591. all these things right? Speaks to me? All right? So

  592. this is one area. Can I tell you if you

  593. really have a like.

  594. A situation, a circumstance where you say God, I really

  595. need an answer from you, can I encourage you to

  596. test it against scripture and say, God what is crazy? Okay,

  597. I give you a chance.

  598. You use Google? Can or not?

  599. Course, many of us don't know where to start, right,

  600. never mind? Lie, there is a search engine.

  601. That you say, what does the Bible say about the

  602. da da da da da ah? And you see what

  603. the scriptures say? Can or not? You all have Google.

  604. You search for everything else except the word of God.

  605. Ouch true or not true?

  606. Just ask what you know?

  607. And you know there's this whole tension between using Internet

  608. AI and you know, how how do we hear from God?

  609. Right? And ask the lot God? Is it wrong to

  610. use AI? Because when I'm searching this right, I actually

  611. use AI? Is no? Is it wrong? God? So I'm

  612. thinking I'm trying and trying to hear from God right?

  613. And God drop this thought to me, He says, you

  614. think I'm not in control of Yeah, you can time

  615. any question you want. Do you know that the answer

  616. and not is actually ordained by the lot? Also it

  617. can be you know. So I'm not gonna say that

  618. AI is above God. I'm saying, God, You're above everything else.

  619. And if this is gonna be a tool, I'm using

  620. it as a tool. And I still need to test

  621. it against scripture. There's all these thoughts. Right, then I say, okay,

  622. God is there what does your word really say? And

  623. then I go deeper into God's word and I'm putting

  624. God's word as priority over everything else that anyone says.

  625. So God is above ai. Amen. So it's not that

  626. you can use cannot use. Just know that God, You're

  627. above Allah. Right.

  628. You know, even when you search for Google whatever that

  629. pops up. Right, I really believe that there's a leading.

  630. There's a leading from the Lord. Right, And I just God,

  631. I submit this saw you you enter into. Say God,

  632. I'm gonna research this. Now, help me point me out

  633. to the right sides, to the right references.

  634. Ask God, lah right, No holy spirits with us?

  635. Right.

  636. So that's that's the answer I have olla from the Lord. Okay, okay,

  637. now all right, all right, okay, So we've covered some

  638. of these things in life. Now let's move on quickly

  639. to another aspect of hearing from God.

  640. Right.

  641. So firstly, friends, there's no shot cut. You need to

  642. know the word amen. No, the scripture, know what it

  643. says about things in life. Secondly, no frils, no frails. Okay,

  644. let's go to the next line. I call this the

  645. no fils, no funfair, no fireworks are the way?

  646. Where am I going with this? Nor feelings? Okay?

  647. Sometimes when we we we are we want to hear

  648. from God, right, we.

  649. Say, God, where is the audible voice? You know, where

  650. is the boom w This is.

  651. Like that's the money worthy kind of confirmation from God. Right,

  652. But you know that in scripture many times and this

  653. is a clear example from Eli. No from Elijah. Right,

  654. So let's go read the verse from Kings.

  655. Let's go.

  656. Yeah, first, Kings, he says, uh, this is Elijah. After

  657. he ran away from the woman Jezebel, Right, he went

  658. up to the mountain. He's like, oh, I'm dead, I'm exhausted,

  659. I want to die. Heydy, That's actually what he was saying,

  660. you know. And then and then God came to meet

  661. with him during the night, and he says, then he said,

  662. this is God said, go out and stand on the

  663. mountain before the Lord, and behold the Lord passed by,

  664. and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains

  665. and broke the rocks in pieces.

  666. Before the Lord. WHOA sounds like so me so drama, right,

  667. so drama.

  668. And but the Lord was not in the wind, and

  669. after the wind an earthquake. Whoa earthquake. If you're here

  670. an earthquake, probably say, oh, this is God. But the

  671. Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake

  672. of fire. But the Lord was not in the fire,

  673. not in the fireworks, not in the bank bang, but

  674. after the fire.

  675. A still small voice, Be still and know that I

  676. am God. This is not magic, friends, It's just the

  677. quiet assurance that when you enter into God's presence, there's.

  678. Just this pureness. This is purity, this holiness, it's this,

  679. says God. I'm here to just focus on you. I'm

  680. just here to hear by faith and I'm going to

  681. act out by faithfulness. Right, So no fanfare, no fire works,

  682. no friels. Don't worry about it. But how come you know?

  683. God never speak to me like that? No, No, If

  684. God does speak to you in dreams and visions, praise

  685. the Lord. Praise the Lord, and then test it against scripture.

  686. Don't just say, oh, this is from the Lord.

  687. Yeah, I know I'm gonna marry that guy.

  688. Know, test it against the world of God, and then

  689. just know that God wants to speak to us in

  690. a still small voice. Okay, so let's go on to

  691. the next quadron and this is yeah, no, okay, so

  692. this is very important.

  693. Now, believer us want to know what does God want

  694. me to do? Correct?

  695. We say, God, show me your will, your way. I

  696. want to know what to do. But God wants to

  697. know who are you becoming in all your decisions?

  698. Right, it's not so much of do I go college? A?

  699. Do I go college? B?

  700. God is saying, whatever you decide, who are you going

  701. to become? It's a test of care character. Yeah, so

  702. you want to know whether this thought that you're having

  703. right now, right, you're having all these thoughts, all these options,

  704. and then I feel, let towards one day, you test

  705. against scripture what the scriptures say? You test against the character?

  706. Is this what Christ would have done? Oh?

  707. Does this make me more christ Like? Does this make

  708. me more.

  709. They're more of the truth of the spirit, love, joy, peace, patience?

  710. Does it help me get to that? If not, that

  711. you know it's not from God? Hello? If you stay

  712. here are okay?

  713. So now you can cheat on your text?

  714. Is this you know you test it against scripture? Oh? No, failory.

  715. Actually, when you test against scripture failah, Okay, that's the

  716. voice of the devil flee from it. But sometimes the

  717. scripture is like that and it's not so clear, right,

  718. like oh, do I go Singapore study or do I

  719. go me and martisay me and Mala? Where you want

  720. to go Australia Singapore Australia, yo bie, but doesn't say lah?

  721. Then you you think about it? So what is that

  722. test of character?

  723. Okay? And I need to give you.

  724. Another test because sometimes just a Singapore Australia no difference,

  725. but right trou not or I stay in Malaysia also

  726. no difference? Are But maybe some of you might have

  727. answered already at the second stage where you like, yeah,

  728. I think God wants me to be here so that

  729. I can serve my nation.

  730. WHOA, come on, Holy no God Christ?

  731. Like, do you know that we are called Malaysians here?

  732. And you know I'm speaking to Malaysians here. There's a reason, ah,

  733. why God caught you to be Malaysians. You know we're

  734. here to serve our nations, our nation. Do you love

  735. this land or not? That is very scriptural though. God

  736. says that wherever you have been planted, you bear fruit

  737. and you give shelter to that you know where God

  738. has planted. You ain't got planted us given us this

  739. Malaysian identity so that we can be fruitful here to.

  740. Reach out to the majority. There's so much work for

  741. us to do. Friends.

  742. You know, if you go in Australia or whatever, I'm

  743. not knocking it. If you heard from the Lord clearly,

  744. then go. But otherwise most other times our desires la

  745. why because then I can have a balanced life so

  746. that I can go home at four pm and then

  747. have barbecue.

  748. We seek comfort. That's not character building.

  749. Friends, living with early, having a balanced life and doing

  750. barbecue and go vinyard.

  751. You know, shopping is not building character, if you know

  752. what I mean.

  753. Okay, there's some partsa Okay, let's go obedience now. So

  754. the third task, and this is always most of the

  755. time where we most of us feel because we can

  756. go from observation. You read just all the scriptures right,

  757. just not give you so many scriptures you.

  758. Have observed it. How many of you are willing to

  759. obey it? Lieleo, Because you can know the.

  760. Entire Bible, but never obey a single command.

  761. And I can tell you you are lost. You will

  762. be lost, and you're like, hang, I never hear from God.

  763. So we have to move from a place of observation

  764. of just the Bible to say, God, what are you

  765. saying to me personally? How is this going to affect

  766. my decisions?

  767. This obedience partner is something that will be tested, and

  768. only when you have undergone the test, then God says,

  769. I know you know.

  770. The greatest example is Abraham, who.

  771. God say, okay, sacrifice Isaac to me your beloved's hand.

  772. What I appreciate about this before? Right?

  773. And then at the moment when actually Abraham took the

  774. knife and he was bound readly you know, Isaac was

  775. bound to the altar. And it was at the point

  776. that Abraham took the knife and was about to.

  777. Give the fatal blow that God said, wait, wait, now

  778. I know that you fear me. Whoa means good? Doesn't

  779. know whether we fear him or not until we are tested. So, friends,

  780. guess what you will go to testings you will. Every

  781. test is not meant to fail you.

  782. Every test is designed for you to know him.

  783. Do you get that? In our friends?

  784. Every test in your life, every challenge in your life.

  785. Right now, friends, I can say is.

  786. To test is designed to know whether you know your God?

  787. Do you know there's a verse that says those who

  788. know their God shall do great exploits.

  789. Whoa, if you're not doing great exploits means we don't

  790. know how God, we don't know who he is.

  791. Amen.

  792. So now there's something about community that I have to

  793. say here that God give us this fellowship, ma lead

  794. us above us and over here in extras were something

  795. called discipleship structure called huddle.

  796. Right. We talked about discipleship a lot.

  797. Last year, and is this community that saves gods us? Right?

  798. So after you test a scripture, you tested, you know

  799. your character, then.

  800. You need to test that community.

  801. You need to go to someone and just say, hey, hello,

  802. I've decided.

  803. What is God speaking to you about this decision? Major

  804. life decision.

  805. There's an accountability there that God designed for our safety.

  806. Do you know God didn't purposely put leaders over us

  807. and just say oh, I'm here to make your life difficult. No,

  808. God design this community for us to be safe before

  809. we make the wrong decisions. Community is very important, friends,

  810. and that's why we say. God says in Hebrews, do

  811. not neglect the meeting of.

  812. Together brothers and sisters.

  813. This fellowship is designed to save you save goud you from.

  814. Being foolish, because we are like sheep. Right, if you

  815. study sheep, shep very foolish. We never learned stubborn Steve Neck.

  816. So we ad more niche one another.

  817. We got one another true this test Amen, and finally

  818. to wait, Wait upon the Lord. I think, yeah, I

  819. think this has been praised. Right, Wait upon the Lord,

  820. Isaiah forty. Wait upon the Lord, for he shall renew

  821. your strength. Sometimes right when we are trying to hear

  822. from God and we don't get the answer, what do

  823. you do?

  824. We give up?

  825. No, No, it's true, and most of us are. We

  826. we pray three times. Then after that God never say anything. Right,

  827. Then we say God, God never answered my prayer. God

  828. didn't hear me. God don't care about me. And then

  829. we just go and find something else that will fit us.

  830. But you know this, this spirit.

  831. Of waiting on God is so precious to God, so precious,

  832. you know, because you know it is in the waiting

  833. that he's developing character, perseverance, faith, faithfulness, years, you know,

  834. years and years.

  835. And he will use circumstances to teach you. Can I

  836. tell you right when I was preparing this, I'm gonna

  837. give you two quick examples before we close. First one,

  838. right as I was preparing for this message, of course,

  839. you also ask how you know you heard from God?

  840. True or not?

  841. Preatures here, how you hurt from God? So I'm going

  842. to tell you this really real experience. So for me,

  843. I one of my disciples, we were embarking on this

  844. leadership checklist, right, and so we are learning. One of

  845. the criteria there was how do we hear from God?

  846. So actually I also like, actually, how do we hear?

  847. There's also a.

  848. Question on my heart, how do we really know that

  849. we hurt from God? So our challenge was to each

  850. other we say, let's let's let's find out more.

  851. Let's do do research, you know, on on how to

  852. hear from God? So I did LA. So I went

  853. and I tried to see.

  854. What all the Christian authors say about hearing from God.

  855. So then in my mind I was already saying, oh, okay,

  856. I think this is something God wants to speak to

  857. the church, right number one. Then then I that's it,

  858. Like that's all I had. Right, So I had the

  859. title hearing from God, and that's it.

  860. I don't know what to say. Then on Friday, you

  861. head homes awesome homes.

  862. Right.

  863. And as we were doing our small group discussion, one

  864. of my homies shed that her struggle in Prayan fasting

  865. is that.

  866. Don't know how to hear from God. Hey.

  867. Suddenly, then God, God gave me that confirmation, you know,

  868. to say, hey, actually I think there is a.

  869. Need because maybe the people don't really really don't.

  870. Know how to hear from God. Then that's Friday, Saturday morning.

  871. I wanted to sleep in a little bit, right because

  872. it's been a long week. But the Lord woke me

  873. up at six thirty Aho. That's not sleeping in right.

  874. And then he began to download this k N O

  875. W and he gave me this is what exactly you know?

  876. I want you to let them know. So it form

  877. that framework.

  878. Then three times it's really confirmation, right, confirmation some more,

  879. God say I give you bonus yesterday at all sort

  880. meeting ping go shit, hey, guys, we really need to

  881. hear from God. We need to learn how to hear

  882. from it because I feel that when we don't hear

  883. from God ourselves. Right, whatever that's being prettued, you're saying this, preacher,

  884. say that, leader say it never becomes God's say true not.

  885. I think that's that's probably the key. You know.

  886. It's like whatever we say here, you're like, yeah, you

  887. can say, you can say, you can't say lah. But

  888. when you know that God is saying to you, oh, friends,

  889. it's a different priority, all right. It's a completely different

  890. platform that you're saying. God is now saying having a

  891. personal conversation with you.

  892. Elisha, I'm saying this to you right now. What are

  893. you doing about it? Amen?

  894. Now, I want to give you a very fun story.

  895. You want to hear a fun story from the Bible

  896. about how we can use this for framework. Okay, Now

  897. let's go to Genesis twenty four, very quick, Genesis twenty four.

  898. Now this is about.

  899. The case of finding a wife for his son. Genesis

  900. twenty four. Hey, right, this is a very practical right.

  901. So Abraham now a already he says, my son Isaac

  902. is getting big, you know, and I think he should

  903. start his family. So he said, I need to find

  904. a wife for my son. Any parents going through this

  905. right now? You need to find a wife for your son.

  906. Huh No, I think no.

  907. So firstly, the test of scripture. Remember I say test

  908. scripture first. Now, on what basis is Abraham doing this?

  909. Okay, So let's read from verse seventy, says the Lord

  910. God of Heaven, who took me from my father's house

  911. and from the land of my family, and who spoke

  912. to me and swore to me, saying to your descendants,

  913. give you this land. He will send his angel before you,

  914. and you shall take a wife or my son from there.

  915. Where is there where he came from. You know that

  916. he's in a foreign land right now. And there is

  917. a scripture because it's a word of God. Right God says,

  918. I'm gonna.

  919. Give you this foreign land, and this is where your

  920. descendant shall be.

  921. So it's a clear word from the Lord.

  922. So what Abraham could have done are your very mafuner

  923. very inconvenient. So just marry anyone of the beautiful ladies

  924. Cela correct not. But do you know scripture is never

  925. convenient to It's always inconvenient, uncomfortable, and it challenges you.

  926. So based on the test.

  927. Of scripture, Abraham sent his all the servant, I don't

  928. know how old send his old servant to go back

  929. to their land to look for a wife from where

  930. his own family.

  931. And do you know this ties back to the whole.

  932. Do not be an equally.

  933. Yoked because the people of the land were not believers

  934. of God.

  935. They were not Yahweh worshippers.

  936. His family knew God, and he says, to preserve that

  937. we only worship God in our family, go back to

  938. my brother's family. Do you see that it's connected, right? Friends,

  939. Old Testament, New Testament. It goes all across. It never

  940. contradicts itself. God does not contradict himself.

  941. Immen. Okay, So test of stricture? What is the second test?

  942. Do you remember? Test of what character?

  943. Right?

  944. Remember we say it's test scripture, test of character. Now,

  945. so the abraham servant got no name, right, let's call.

  946. Him what what name? Should we call him? Servant? And

  947. mister s okay? So, mister s.

  948. He went all the way to this foreign land and

  949. he prayed. He say, God, you are Abraham's God, his

  950. personal God. You know, he prayed to a foreign god,

  951. God of Abraham, give me favor. And he say, Okayla,

  952. I'm going to stop by this place, and if you know,

  953. I'm gonna ask the first girl that comes w okay,

  954. like he's gonna ask many girls like he tried, Like

  955. you know, he's He's saying, either girl will come and

  956. give me water to drink. And do you know that

  957. in those days, men and women don't associate with each

  958. other strangers.

  959. You know, it will be considered sexual harassment. Today, don't do.

  960. That, right, So he says, I'm gonna ask the girl

  961. for water, and if she gives me water and she.

  962. Volunteers to water my entire camel. This is the one, hey,

  963. real Tessa.

  964. Very specific, you know, right, And well, what does that

  965. signify about the character of Rebecca?

  966. What do you think? Amazing? How amazing? In what way? Amazing? Helpful, compassionate?

  967. What else? Generous?

  968. So this servant of Abraham is thinking, the wife of

  969. my master's son should be someone who's kind, compassionate, generous,

  970. right character, because anyone who else who says, who are you?

  971. I don't want to deal with you. Right, Let's not

  972. have those qualities, that character. And so, you know, let's

  973. go to the next he says. Then he said, no, no, let's.

  974. Go to character.

  975. Then he said, oh, Lord God or my master Ibraham,

  976. please give me success to say and show kindness to

  977. my master Ibraham. Behore, I stand by the well of water,

  978. and the daughters of the men of the city are coming.

  979. Out to draw water.

  980. Now, let it be that the young woman to whom

  981. I say, please let down your picture too that I

  982. may drink, and she says, drink, and I will also

  983. give your camels a drink. Let her be the one

  984. you have appointed for your servant, Isaac character not definitely character.

  985. Okay, let's move on now, test of community. This is

  986. so important.

  987. Friends, So after all that you know, and suddenly right

  988. this stranger I also funny, very weird because this servant

  989. now after the Rebecca gave the water to drink, right

  990. what he did? He's like, nah, I give you gold

  991. ring for your nose and gold bangles for your wrists

  992. and he put it on her. Friends, if someone put

  993. gold on you, what would you do? You think, I

  994. don't know me MEA say she would take most of you?

  995. Wo say, hey, this one got charm or not true

  996. or not? Or this is fake?

  997. Goal?

  998. Is it? Most of you?

  999. Run away trying out because why your mother said, don't

1000. take this a stranger true not?

1001. But this this is what happened. Now, this isn't a scripture,

1002. oh crazy man? And what happened with her? Did she say?

1003. O kayla? Since I'm the one you gave me goal,

1004. I'm here, let's go. No, she ran back home to

1005. tell her family, let's go.

1006. So the young woman ran and told her mother's house.

1007. Her mother's households all these things.

1008. Now, Rebecca had a brother whose name was Laban, and

1009. Lebon ran out to the men by the well.

1010. So I think this is a good test, you know.

1011. She ran back home to tell her family, and then

1012. she sent her brother, Oh, to test this man. You know,

1013. things needs to be tested by even your community. So

1014. I guard those under my care, myddle, especially if they're single.

1015. I really got the money they want to day, I say,

1016. I want to meet me the fellow of us you

1017. send me. I'm going to be the la button to

1018. suss out this person, right or not, it's true or not,

1019. because your girl can be hopelessly in love ready, But

1020. we need to have the sanctity and.

1021. The wisdom and the sanity to say hello. This one

1022. cannot even wake up in the morning, doesn't even brushed. Hello,

1023. what you see needs feller? Can't you smell him Monday? Please? Ay? Friends?

  1024. Can you please? Mondy?

1025. Not anyways? Tests of community right, and then, finally, finally, finally,

1026. what is it? What's the final test the test of

1027. circumstances things. When we say tests the circumstances, right, we

1028. just want to be also careful with it. Do not

1029. say oh Lord, you know like how gideons say, oh God,

1030. you do this, then you do this, you do this, right,

1031. But we do see how God aligns and users circumstances

1032. as well. Right, so this is like sort of the

1033. final filter that you want to test a decision because

  1034. the circumstance.

1035. Right. So okay, now you know what happened. Right.

1036. She ran home to be to tell her parents, and

1037. then the lab not the love laban the brother ran

1038. out to meet with this man, and they brought him home,

1039. all right, and they say please eat okay, of course,

1040. hey you give me gold man, welcome the stranger who

1041. gives you gold. Okay, I hope you do go back

1042. with that. Okay, anyway, so come back home. And then

1043. the seven very kan Chong ready, you know Kan Yong,

  1044. and he's like, I I you know, I cannot eat

1045. and see it until I tell you why I'm here. Right,

  1046. there's a purpose, right, there's a mission, he was saying.

1047. On a mission. So he said, okay, I'm gonna tell

1048. you the story. Da da da da da da da da.

1049. And then so that the final circumstance was to say, hey,

1050. the girl will say yes or not. If you were

1051. the girl, would you say yes or not?

1052. No? No, no, you're like, we never even knew, we

  1053. never did.

1054. They never hold hands before how to marry. So the

  1055. circumstance was hinging.

1056. On the response from Rebecca. You know, she could have

  1057. said no.

1058. And then the Abraham told the server, ready, if if

1059. it does not go anyway, if the person says no, right,

1060. you're free from this obligation.

1061. You know, there was an althor he took. He put

1062. his hand under Abraham's tie.

1063. That's the oath. He says, you're free from this obligation.

1064. Eve is no success in this mission. If the girls

1065. say no, it means no success. Right, even though everything

1066. aligned really well, the stars aligned the scripture. That's the

1067. character of her. There's the community. The brother's also like,

1068. but there is this confirmation that she that he needed,

1069. the servant of the Lord needed, and this is what

1070. he says here. So this is the Tessa of circumstance.

1071. So the brother and her mother said, let the young

1072. man stay with us. Let the young woman stay with

1073. us a few days, at least ten days, they say,

1074. let our daughters stay with us.

  1075. La.

1076. We still got a lot of things to tell her,

1077. you know, prepare her for pre pre marriage counseling. Maybe

1078. ten days, you know, after that she may go. And

1079. he said to them, do not hinder me, since the

1080. Lord has prospered my way, and send me away so

1081. that I may go to my master. Then they said

1082. they will call the young woman and ask her personally.

1083. So they called Rebecca and said will you go with

1084. this man? She said I will, and off they ran

  1085. off into the sunset.
