  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. It's our response to the Holy Spirit. So this story

  4. depicts a few characters, and I want us to look

  5. at the different characters. Okay. Now, so this is the

  6. twenty fourth chapter of Genesis. I told you it's very old,

  7. very old, okay, in the Old Testament. Now, this chapter

  8. got sixty seven verses, so it's very long. All right,

  9. I'll try to read faster later. Six six seven, that's right,

  10. I oh dear me. Okay, Now, so this chapter relates

  11. and I'm not sure how familiar are you with this chapter,

  12. because sometimes when we read, right, we just read that

  13. it's a storyline, okay, Okay, it's about the story of

  14. how Abraham obtained a bride or a wife for his

  15. son Isaac. Okay, So let's read Genesis chapter twenty four now.

  16. Because it's sixty seven verses, I can't read all. I

  17. will pick and chow, but I would just summarize the

  18. story in between. Are we good for this? I would

  19. like us to turn to our bibles. Genesis chapter twenty four,

  20. Verse one to four. Us skip a field and I'll

  21. go to verse nine and ten, and I'm going to

  22. read from New King James version. All right, okay, are

  23. we ready? I'm going to die straight into it due

  24. to time now. Okay, by the way, before I read

  25. this will give you a context. This chapter twenty four

  26. is the bit of sandwich in between two chapters. Of

  27. of course, like the chapters before just talk about the

  28. death of Sarah. So Sarah, the wife of Abraham, just

  29. passed away, and then later on the chapter after talks

  30. about Abraham passing away. Okay, so, but before that there's

  31. this important that the whole chapter is dedicated to this

  32. story only. Okay. So you know that Abraham is the

  33. he's very old and in their old age, they got

  34. a son, and he's a son of promise Isaac, and

  35. they waited for many years I think twenty over years,

  36. all right. Finally the son came in their old age

  37. and the son grew up. And then before that they

  38. were like, oh, so what do we do now? The

  39. son and God promised themino inheritance as many as the stars,

  40. but just one son, okay, and the son not married

  41. it also, so it's come to the point in their

  42. life where they want to find a wife for Isaac. Okay.

  43. Verse one. Now Abraham was all well advanced in age,

  44. and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. So

  45. Abraham said to his older servant of his house, who

  46. ruled over all that he had. Please put your hand

  47. under my tie, and I will make you swear by

  48. the Lord, the God of Heaven, the God the God

  49. of the Earth, that you will not take a wife

  50. from my son, from the daughters of the Canaanites, among

  51. whom I dwelt, But you shall go to my country

  52. and to my family and take a wife from my

  53. son Isaac. I stopped there. Okay. So Abraham and his

  54. family were called out by God to leave his family

  55. to move out Canaan. So he's far far away from

  56. his original home, all right. So he's staying in Canaan,

  57. and his hometown is very far away. Okay. Now I'm

  58. going to jump to verse nine. So the servant put

  59. his hand under the tie of Abraham his master, and

  60. swore to him concerning this matter. Then the servant took

  61. ten of his master's camels and departed, for all his

  62. master's goods were in his hand. And he arose and

  63. went to Mesopotamia to the city of Nahor Neihor is Naha. Okay,

  64. is the brother of Abraham. So if you read your Bible,

  65. Abraham had a brother, and the brother had many sons.

  66. And then Rebecca, who is the wife of Isaac, is

  67. the daughter of one of the sons. Okay, okay, So

  68. this is back in his hometown. So in between there

  69. was a conversation. So here we see two characters, Abraham

  70. and this servant. This servant is like the most senior servant.

  71. I believe he's also quite advanced in age, and he's

  72. the one in charge. The Bible says in verse two,

  73. he is the oldest servant, and he ruled over all

  74. that Abraham had. Abraham, if you didn't know, he's very rich,

  75. say to your neighbor, very rich. They're the neighbor richer

  76. than you can imagine. Okay, all right, just keep us

  77. awake now, okay, all right. So this servant is also

  78. in verse uh ten, he is the one in charge

  79. of everything that the master had. Okay. So there was

  80. a conversation, and the servant said, but Master, if I

  81. go all the way there and then the girl don't

  82. want to follow me, Why did the servant ask that

  83. because it's quite normal. You go so far the girl

  84. don't know who are you? Do you think a girl

  85. and the family of the girl will let you go mad?

  86. I don't know. So he's just saying, why if Abraham said,

  87. don't worry. If that happens, you are released from this

  88. old but never take my son Isaac back to my hometown. Okay,

  89. because the promise was for him in Canaan. Abraham is

  90. very clear. Okay. So Abraham and Isaac there are residents

  91. of the Lenda promise. But Abraham again determined that his

  92. son is not going to marry any of the Canaanite

  93. women because they worship foreign gods, all right, but he

  94. is to get a wife from his hometown. Now four

  95. characters in this story. Now you only saw two, I'm

  96. going to introduce another two. So firstly we have Abraham

  97. the father and I have a slight for that, okay.

  98. And then we have Isaac, the's son, because who is

  99. he finding a bride for his son. And then we

  100. have this bride whom we don't know who, but they thought,

  101. you know, it's Rebecca. And then there is a nameless

  102. person in this story who's the nameless person the servant. Okay,

  103. So the servant is the nameless person. Now I quickly

  104. go and tell you the answer, okay, because no time,

  105. so that we know and we can I to understand

  106. this picture of how the Holy Spirit works in our lives. Imen. So,

  107. Abraham represents God the Father, Isaac the Son represents God

  108. the Son, Jesus the bride, the chosen bride. Rebecca represents

  109. the Church, you and I, and this unnamed servant represents

  110. the Holy Spirit. Can you see the humility or the

  111. Holy Spirit? And do you know that the scripture okay,

  112. is the author of scripture is the Holy Spirit, because

  113. he inspired the authors to write the Bible, and yet

  114. he didn't name himself. All right, So this in this

  115. whole chapter sixty seven versus, he's called the servant, all right, okay, Okay,

  116. Now I want us to take note and sturdy the

  117. activity of this servant to out this chapter. But I

  118. will just go chop all right, because we can't cover everything,

  119. but as much as we can, so that we can

  120. see again the role of the Holy Spirit as an

  121. administrator of our inheritance that God has for us. Amen. Okay,

  122. So I already mentioned this Servant is the he administered

  123. the entire wealth of Abraham, the Father and the Son.

  124. What does it? Shit tells you. The Holy Spirit is

  125. the one who reveals everything that God the Father got

  126. the Son has for us. Amen. And that's true of

  127. the Holy Spirit in our lives today. Amen. And until

  128. we come to the Holy Spirit, we don't get any

  129. of these inheritance of God. Right. And because it's all

  130. under the control of the Holy Spirit now. And the

  131. Holy Spirit also again in verse ten, he owns everything.

  132. So here we go. Now the servant after he said

  133. yes to Abraham, why he said he promised, he took

  134. an oath and say that I will find a bride

  135. and bring it bring her home for Isaac, your son,

  136. all right? And then did he go empty handed? No?

  137. So if you look at the Bible, he went away

  138. with ten camels. Okay, Now one camel can carry a lot.

  139. Ten important, So this information is important later when you

  140. see the storyline. So ten a lot, and what is

  141. it laden with? Gifts? Okay? All right? Gifts? All right? Okay,

  142. Now we move on first, so let's read. Continue to

  143. read verse eleven to verse twenty seven. It's a stretch

  144. of a reading can we follow? Can I? Yes? Yes,

  145. all right? Verse eleven. Now he traveled by the way.

  146. I tried to look it up, just to understand how

  147. long could possibly this servant and the ten camels and

  148. probably some other servants traveled three to four wicks by camel,

  149. because it's camel caravan, all right, So three to four

  150. wicks maybe, okay. So finally he reached this Mesopotamia, right, okay,

  151. So verse eleven. He made his camels kneel down outside

  152. the city by a well of water at evening time,

  153. the time when women go out to draw water. Then,

  154. and he said, oh Lord, my God of my master Abraham,

  155. please give me success this day and show kindness to

  156. my master Abraham. Behold, okay, here I stand by the

  157. well of water, and the daughters of the men of

  158. the city are coming out to draw water. Now let

  159. it be that a young woman to whom I say,

  160. please let down your picture that I may drink. And

  161. she says, drink, and I will also give your camels

  162. to drink. Let her be the one. Okay. Now you

  163. have appointed your servant Isaac, and by this I will

  164. know that you have shown kindness to my master. Are

  165. we good? So he asked a sign from God. All right, okay,

  166. so let's continue reading first. I thought later, and it

  167. happened before he had finished speaking. The behold Rebecca, who

  168. was born to Batoul. Batul is the son of Nahrhor,

  169. the brother of Abraham. So technically Rebecca is grand niece

  170. of Abraham. Okay, came out with her picture on her shoulder. Now,

  171. I'm not sure why these servants prayed this card prayer

  172. that the girl who said yes to give me water

  173. to drink and to say yes to feed my camels.

  174. I ask you that you want to ask for a wife.

  175. Will you pray a normal prayer like the person who

  176. say good morning to me? Hello, everybody say good morning

  177. to you. Ride all right, you will ask for a

  178. sign that is so usual. I believe it's not usual

  179. for someone to offer to water ten camels. I think

  180. maybe to fit you. Yes, Na, oh uncle, you want water,

  181. I give you, but maybe not ten camels. Okay, So

  182. he asked quite an impossible sign that the girl who

  183. said yes to give him water and water his camels

  184. will be the girl. Okay. Now verse fifteen done, Verse sixteen.

  185. So now the young woman was very beautiful to be

  186. whold a virgin. No man had known her, And she

  187. went down to the well, filled her pitture, and came up,

  188. and the servant ran to meet her and said, please

  189. let me drink. So she said, drink, my lord. Then

  190. she quickly let her pitcher down to her hand and

  191. gave him a drink. I don't really suspense for you

  192. or not, okay. And when she had finished giving him

  193. a drink, she said, without him asking her, I will

  194. draw water for your camels also until they had finished drinking.

  195. Then she quickly emptied her picture into the trail, ran

  196. back to the well to draw water, and drew for

  197. all his camels. I know you sit in one sentence,

  198. they thought, I'll tell you why, okay, And the man,

  199. one drink at her okay, remained silent, so as to

  200. know whether the lord had made his journey prosperous or

  201. not Verse twenty two. So it was when the camels

  202. had finished drinking, when I, as Mama had dreamed drinking, that

  203. the man took a golden nose ring weighing half a

  204. shackle and two bracelets for her raise wearhing ten shackles

  205. of gold, and said, whose daughter are you? Tell me? Please?

  206. Is the room? He asked him two questions. Okay, who

  207. daughter are you? And is the room in your father's

  208. house for us to lodge? So she said to him,

  209. and the daughter, but Milkha's son, whom she bought to Nahor.

  210. And moreover, she said to him, we have both straw

  211. and feet enough and room to lodge. Then the servant

  212. of the man bowed down his head and worshiped the Lord.

  213. And then he said, blessed be the Lord God of

  214. my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his mercy and

  215. his truth towards my master. As for me being on

  216. the way, the Lord had led me to the house

  217. of my master's brethren. Amen, God bless the reading of

  218. his word. So he prayed that God you lead me.

  219. He and God let the servant directly to the family

  220. of Abraham, just like that, all right, okay, So it's

  221. really the leading of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Okay. So

  222. let's look at the picture of Rebecca as the chosen bride.

  223. All right. Now, in verse ten, I told you early

  224. on when we read the servant took ten camels. So

  225. again ten camels. Traveling with an old servant will take

  226. about a month, all right, now in the east and

  227. in desert countries at that time, girls or ladies, they

  228. were under social obligation to you know, lower their picture

  229. right their shoulder, on their shoulder and give you know,

  230. different strangers a drink of water. Okay, So again he

  231. prayed a prayer. That is not usual that this girl

  232. is going to offer to water his ten camels. Now,

  233. so this is a picture. I want us to see

  234. Rebecca as a picture of the bride. I want us

  235. to notice how Rebecca respond to the servant. Are we good? Why?

  236. Because the Rebecca is a picture of the church, and

  237. as the Church of God, how should we respond to

  238. the Holy Spirit a man? So I'm drawing three points

  239. from this story. First one, plainly, Rebecca is not lazy.

  240. That's my first point. Okay, she was not lazy. Tell

  241. your neighbor she was not lazy. Now, if she was lazy,

  242. she would have offered, Mayer, I feel you water water, sure, bye,

  243. and she'll be on her way. Okay, okay. But when

  244. he he didn't even ask. But she has a kindness

  245. in her heart, I believe, and she can see the need.

  246. And she saw all the camels, and she said, these

  247. people must have come from a far far place, whause

  248. you probably can hear the camels. I don't know. I

  249. don't know why the camels do that. They were like

  250. the sticker. I don't know. I don't know. But the

  251. poor old serbord is that I want to die. They like,

  252. you know, can you please give me water? I don't know,

  253. I don't know. I'm just imagining, all right, must imagine

  254. norry by b gun okay, So, and she said, sure,

  255. I will, I will, I will. Okay. By the way,

  256. how much can one camel drink? Quite a lot? Now,

  257. imagine they have traveled for a month, so they empty

  258. every hello, empty everything. How much I think it can

  259. bring up to waste on my research? Uh, two hundred

  260. liters of water per camel? Two hundred liters per camel?

  261. How many camels? I told you that? Ten is also

  262. important because it shows you the significance of that, the

  263. generosity of Rebecca. So, and what did Rebecca used to

  264. to to water the camel? You think, what do we

  265. do today? If we do, we just I don't know,

  266. get a tractor and a water see right, No, she

  267. used an earthen jar a vessel on her shoulder, and

  268. they had to pull from the well one, so they

  269. pulled from the well on the shoulder, and then she

  270. won by one. So it's an estimate that she probably

  271. do fifty two one hundred trips to the well. She's strong, hallelojah.

  272. She is strong. So the Church of God is strong. Halleluojah. Okay,

  273. so she's strong and she's not lazy. And it probably

  274. took her to to three hours walking from where the

  275. camels were to the well through the well water a

  276. hundred times. So, by the way, you read the one

  277. verse right until all of them have finished drinking, it's

  278. just one verse. Y, he took three hours. And then

  279. the servant instead watching her the Bible, saying, ah, watching

  280. her cause it's all manly right now, watching her, and

  281. then wondering is this the girl? Is this the girl?

  282. So I think he's will be praying for three hours

  283. and all harley luiah. I didn't plan to say all this,

  284. by the way, okay, So so basically we back up

  285. past the testla Okay, we all know that. So now

  286. she is identified as the answer to his prayer and

  287. the chosen bride. Imen then the servant gave her gifts,

  288. right all right, I gave her gifts, and I think

  289. those gifts in we way out today is in tens

  290. of thousands on the goal. All right, okay, all right,

  291. so what but what I want us to focus is

  292. that it will be our response is Rebecca's response church.

  293. Do you know that she can say sorry, oh, hi, bye, oh,

  294. I got to go back now bye, right, But it's

  295. her response to the Holy Spirit that determine her destiny. Now,

  296. I want you to take not one more thinger, okay, faster.

  297. Every time she said she responded that something happened. Okay.

  298. So the first response she said, okay, I will give

  299. you water, I'll feed your camels. What happened? She received

  300. the gifts? Go right, not okay? So what does this

  301. gift signify? So right, basically the gifts when it says

  302. this on the nose rings actually more like a jewelry

  303. on her forehead. And then she was given the bracelets.

  304. So it's almost saying the Church of God is then

  305. sealed right in our minds. Our mind will then be

  306. open to the Holy Spirit to receive his revelation for us. Amen.

  307. Her hands okay, the bracelets is like our hands being

  308. set apart to do the will God. Do you know

  309. that when we say yes to the Holy Spirit? Amen?

  310. So immediately, why did the servant gave her the gifts?

  311. Because it marks her up as the bride? All right?

  312. So that is a mug all right. So it's the

  313. gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives that marks

  314. us as the Church of God. Hallelujah. Amen. It doesn't

  315. stop there. So then he continued the conversation with Rebecca

  316. and asked, whose daughter are you? Is there room in

  317. your house? Correct? Okay? So what did Rebecca said? Yes,

  318. there's plenty of straw and feed for the camels, and

  319. there's plenty of room. So she I cut the long

  320. story shot. Like course, we can't read all. She quickly

  321. ran back to tell her family and her brother, famous

  322. brother who don't way quite naughty on the brother. Later

  323. we read the story that he's the one who one

  324. okay but labor and okay. Yeah, so he told the brothers.

  325. So the brother came out with her and then said, yes,

  326. please don't stand here, come to our house and stay

  327. with us. Okay, okay. So verse twenty three, twenty four

  328. and twenty five we see that that Rebecca second second point,

  329. Rebecca made room for the servant and his camels in men.

  330. Now ten camels again, do you think it's very convenient? No,

  331. I put record there. She made room for the servant

  332. and the camels. Yes, but she also made room for inconvenience,

  333. because it is inconvenience because suddenly you got a guess,

  334. and then the servant probably didn't travel alone with other servants,

  335. and then you have ten camels. I don't know how

  336. the house is like, but I think they probably have

  337. to move things around, clear things away to make room.

  338. Why am I saying all this because it's a picture

  339. of the church again, and it shows us the response

  340. of Rebecca. All right, Rebecca didn't say a yo, this

  341. is a bit too much for me. Yeah, I can

  342. give you water. I spent three hours watering your camels

  343. and what else you want? Ha ha. Okay, now you're

  344. only talked about house. Oh my world. Okay, but now

  345. she takes another step. So hai ha ha ha. You

  346. know we can come to church for three hours, right, Hi, Hi,

  347. Holy Spirit, holdly spebit, we go back, but we don't

  348. invite him in. Okay. So this is where she makes

  349. room right to the heart of because your dwelling is

  350. your home, your heart live right now, it's all that

  351. you have. Right, She made room for the servant. So

  352. the question to us is are we making room for

  353. the Holy Spirit? And I put that his camels? All right,

  354. because you know that you've got to make room for

  355. God's gifts as well. You can say, God, I don't

  356. want to know, right, But she made room so some

  357. of us may be acquainted with the Holy Spirit. Like

  358. I said, we can come. We're okay to you know,

  359. to be prayed for, to pray you know, at the well.

  360. We're at the well only okay, we're even willing to

  361. spend that two three hours. All right, Yes, God, I'm

  362. willing to serve you on Sunday. But we never invite

  363. him home. We invite him home into our very lives.

  364. To what to receiving the Holy Spirit in the baptism

  365. a man when we allow coldly Spirit to baptize us.

  366. Because sometimes when we give all the call, we say,

  367. come those of you who wants to be baptized by

  368. Holy spirits or they're shiny. Now mind the one, you

  369. know what I mean. So Rebecca did not stop at

  370. the well. She said, yes, come come to my house,

  371. Come into my room, I made room. I will make room.

  372. So she made room. So the baptism of the Holy

  373. Spirit is inviting him in and saying, God, I make room,

  374. and I'll find place from other things that might get

  375. in the way. I'll get it out of the way

  376. so that you can come in. So remember I say,

  377. every time she responds, something happened, and this time what happened? Okay,

  378. let's read on a quick one, all right, in verse

  379. fifty three, can we jump there now, Church, I think

  380. I have it on the screen verse fifty three. So

  381. this is after the servant and his and his whole

  382. caravan went to Rebecca's house and they already sat down.

  383. They're about to have dinner, and to cut a long

  384. story shot again, he explained the purpose of his mission

  385. and his trip to Batul. The father of Rebecca and

  386. the brother of Rebecca Laban. He explained everything to them

  387. and then asked them, finally, will you let your daughter

  388. come with me? Okay, okay? So of course the family,

  389. the father the brother said, yes, you came all the way, definitely,

  390. and you asked for a sign and God gave you. Definitely,

  391. this is God's will. Please, you shall have Rebecca. So

  392. after that. Then in verse fifty three, then the servant

  393. brought out jewelry of silver, jewelry of gold, of clothing

  394. and gave them to Rebecca. But not only that, he

  395. didn't just give Rebecca. He also gave precious things to

  396. her brother and to her mother. It sounds like a

  397. very okay, very normal yes a verbi, you know all right?

  398. What does it mean when she's when they say yes?

  399. When you say yes, not only you will be blessed,

  400. but your family will be blessed. Amen, you're the people

  401. around you will be blessed. Amen, people around you will

  402. be blessed when we say yes to God where we

  403. make room for Him, when we open up to the

  404. Holy Spirit. Hallelujah. Are we good? All right? Now? Third one? Okay?

  405. Best we read on. I gleaned out one more point.

  406. Now the story didn't end there. So what happened? Okay?

  407. I give you fast forward. So they were eating dinner

  408. and all the servant was very happy because the father

  409. and the brother said yes to let Rebecca follow him,

  410. and then they stay over the night. The next morning,

  411. the servant woke up and the servant was like, okay, come,

  412. I need to go back to my Master Abraham. Then

  413. what did the father and the brother say to him? No, no, no, no, no, please,

  414. don't go yet. We want Rebecca to stay at least

  415. for another ten days. Sounds normal, right any father here?

  416. No right? Never, Okay, I'm sorry, not my father, I

  417. mothers or never ha ha okay no, not joking anyway,

  418. but not ready joking by not joking, not joking. Okay,

  419. so normal. It sounds a very normal response. Okay. Uh.

  420. Then the family said, okay, then we let Rebecca decide. Okay.

  421. So this is where we are at now verse fifty

  422. four to fifty eight. And he and the men who

  423. were with him ate and drank and stayed all night

  424. verse fifty four. Then they arose in the morning. He said,

  425. send me away to my master. But her brother and

  426. mother said, let the young woman stay with us a

  427. few days, at least ten, and then she may go.

  428. And then he said to them, no, do not hinder me,

  429. because the Lord has prospered my way. Send me away

  430. so that I can go to my master verse fifty seven.

  431. So they said, we will call the young woman and

  432. ask her personally. And jay, I don't know whether until now.

  433. It's till suspense no, yes, no, yes, no, yes no ry. Finally,

  434. verse fifty eight, they called Rebecca and said to her,

  435. will you you go with this man? And what did

  436. she say? I will go? Hallelujah Jesus. Okay. If she

  437. said no, do you know that there's no more Rebecca

  438. in the story anymore. She will not be the mother,

  439. She will not be part of the story anymore. She

  440. will not be wife of Isaac, she will not be

  441. the mother Abroadmi so halleo. She's the ancestor of Jesus,

  442. isn't it? And because she said yes, I will go? Okay?

  443. So basically this is where we see again. When the

  444. Holy Spirit comes, he will ask us will you come?

  445. The word is now. You know she didn't say no

  446. to going, but the family said no and wait, but

  447. certain things can all wait on? Can await all? Right?

  448. When the Holy Spirit comes and he said will you come? Now?

  449. What should we say wait, Holy Spirit? Or should we say, yes, Lord,

  450. I will come and I'll come now right yes now?

  451. Because you need to know, and the Church of God

  452. need to know that this is more important than anything else. Amen.

  453. This is her destiny. Her destiny relies on this one, sir, Yes,

  454. I will go wherever you lead me. Now, I got

  455. another question for you. If you are Rebecca, do you

  456. think you have any clue who this guy you're gonna marry?

  457. Jane Jay? Okay, no, no, So all the all she

  458. knows that she's hearing the conversation between this old servant

  459. and the father and the mother and the brother, because

  460. actually in those days, the ladies are inside, and why

  461. not then they just try to hear what's going on.

  462. Oh it's what, Oh it's for his Son's a son,

  463. Oh his son young, it's a son here. I don't

  464. know nothing wrong with that. I'm just saying now. Yeah,

  465. So how would she know? Why would she say yes

  466. to go with this stranger whom she has never met

  467. and met meeting for the first time, to so far away,

  468. as far as a month of travel, and she will

  469. be away completely from her family. So the whole the

  470. servant who represents the Holy Spirit, was the only reference

  471. that she had at that time, Okay, of this whole father,

  472. the Abraham, and the son, the Isaac, and the whole

  473. inheritance that this servant is talking about. So she never

  474. saw with her eye who the man she will marry. Okay,

  475. before she even she even made this commitment to follow him.

  476. So how did we Becca know how the Father is

  477. like or the Son is like? Do you know that

  478. this comes in again, church as the role of the

  479. Holy Spirit, because remember the servant takes the role of

  480. the Holy Spirit. It's the Holy Spirit who reveals the

  481. Father to earth. Amen. You and I are not seeing

  482. Jesus face to face white touch him in flesh, So

  483. we don't know, but we know because the Holy Spirit

  484. reveals from his written word to earth. Amen. Hallelujah, Thank

  485. you Lord. All right, So how does the church no

  486. get to know what the Father is like, or what

  487. the Son is like or what out in heeritance? Is

  488. the Holy Spirit? So if we don't know the Holy Spirit,

  489. we don't spend time in the Holy Spirit, we don't

  490. listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying. Then we

  491. will not know the Father, we will not know the Son.

  492. And do you know, Jesus say that as well, only

  493. the Son. No, the Father, the Father know the Son,

  494. and it's the Holy Spirit who reveals it. Jesus himself

  495. said it as well. So finally she took the long journey.

  496. You can read the whole or the stock wich I

  497. will end a little bit while. Why because again when

  498. she said yes, now what happens? All right? Okay? So

  499. she had to take this long, dangerous journey to the

  500. wilderness with a stranger that she had just met. She

  501. didn't have it all planned out in a map. Okay. Now,

  502. I know all of us as we want to be

  503. in control, we've got it all plan our. But you

  504. know what all she had is who these uncles of

  505. all right? The Holy Spirit to lead her all the

  506. way to church? Can you see that now that our

  507. response is we should only have the Holy Spirit as

  508. our only guide and reference in our lives. Now, what

  509. happens when Rebecca said yes, I will go, not in

  510. ten days time, but I'll go now, Okay? So every

  511. time I'm I told you, we will see a blessing

  512. that comes with her response. All right, okay, So stay

  513. with me. This is the last few verses Genesis. So

  514. I'm going to read from fifty nine to sixty one.

  515. She said, yes, I'll go and be the bride, all right, okay?

  516. So fifty nine so they sent away Rebecca, their sister,

  517. and her nurse, and Abraham's servant and his men, and

  518. they bless Rebecca. So now Rebecca's family bless her sent

  519. her away with a blessing that they didn't understand problem

  520. that it was such a prophecy when they bless her.

  521. All right, so they blessed Rebecca. And what did they

  522. say to Rebecca, our sister, May you become the mother

  523. of thousands and ten thousands. Do you know that they

  524. probably had no idea what they're talking about, but we

  525. know that this was a prophecy about what Rebecca's life

  526. is going to be mother of thousands and ten thousands.

  527. And may your descendants church pay attention to this, possess

  528. the gates of those who hate them. I don't know

  529. whtter who, which family will praise, come praier with the

  530. daughter is going up. I believe it's really the annoying

  531. thing of the Holy Spirit. At that time when they

  532. pray that prayer, they are prophesigning into the life of Rebecca.

  533. May your descendants possess the gates of those who hate them?

  534. Does it sound a little bit familiar? Okay, now, min

  535. let's be sixty one percent. Then Rebecca and her maids arose,

  536. and they rode on camels and follow the man. So

  537. the servant took Rebecca and departed. Now I want us

  538. to I want us to look at this verse the

  539. conversation between Peter and Jesus' familiar the gates of Hell

  540. Familiar Matthew sixteen eighteen. Jesus speaking to Peter, I also

  541. say to you that you are Peter or Petros, and

  542. on this rock I will build my church, and the

  543. gates of Hades shall not prevailed against it. By that

  544. one decision that we met, that we become in. It

  545. became a picture or a pattern for the church, which

  546. again it was prophesied. This is way Old Testament Genesis

  547. twenty four, all the way in Old Testament. But it

  548. was a prophecy of what we see today of the

  549. Church of God. Amen. It is a picture and a

  550. pattern of the church wh was to become so fruitful

  551. that thousands of millions will come into the King of

  552. God as we see today. Amen. And when the church

  553. went out against God's enemies, the gates of Hell would

  554. not be able to keep the messengers of the Gospel.

  555. Do you believe that? So when jesusid go into all

  556. the world, because all authority have been given to me. Correct.

  557. This is the prophecy that was given way back in

  558. Genesis twenty four. Not this Jesus. When he was talking

  559. to Peter, he didn't say, Okay, you will be in

  560. a secure city. We all all the walls protecting you.

  561. Hell's forces will be banging at the door at the gates,

  562. but they cannot break in. Did you just say that. No,

  563. you just say we are not just on the on

  564. the defense note, we are on the old fans. So right, okay,

  565. that's what it means. Means you go out and attack

  566. the gates of Hell to liberate the captives, and are

  567. speaking spiritually. There are insight and the gigs of Hell

  568. will not be able to keep you out. That is

  569. the significance of their blessing. When they prayed and released

  570. Rebecca Church the moment she said yes to God, hallelujahs

  571. that a revelation to be Hallelujah, Thank Jesus, A right, amen, amen,

  572. So may you become, they prayed, the mother of thousands

  573. of ten thousands and mere descendants, who says the gates

  574. who hate them. So here is the promise of the

  575. inheritance of Rebecca to become the mother of millions and

  576. millions of believers. Like how we see today to become

  577. the type of the victorious, irresistible Church of Christ, going

  578. forth in the battle and taking our enemies and liberating

  579. those who are under the oppression of Satan. Amen. Amen.

  580. So what does this holding tell us? All of this

  581. was determined by only one thing, Repacca sing yes to

  582. the Holy Spirit. Amen. Amen. Now, the Church as a whole,

  583. the whole destiny. If you look at the Church of

  584. Christ as a whole, the body of Christ as a whole. Again,

  585. our destiny, the whole body of Christ is determined by

  586. our corporate response to the Holy Spirit. But how about

  587. us church, ten am church? This morning? As I was preparing,

  588. how about us as individual believers today? Individual church? Because

  589. we make up the church, isn't it our destiny? And

  590. the measure of the amount of how much we enjoy

  591. God's inhabitants for earth ourselves will be determined solely by

  592. one thing, the measure of our report to the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  593. It's as simple as that. And I hope that this

  594. gives us a picture of the Church and it encourages

  595. us to follow. Like what Rebecca responded to the Holy Spirit.

  596. She wasn't lazy, she was generous, She said yes, and

  597. say and don't. Just want to get acquainted with you

  598. Holy Spirit at the well and just come to church

  599. on Sunday and spend the morning for God. I want

  600. you in every day of my life. Hallelujah.

  601. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
