  1. You're listening to a message to go from Acts Church.

  2. We hope this message will light.

  3. Up your tea Christ centered, Christ centered. So wow, is

  4. it very prettier? Yeah? Don't you think so? Praise the

  5. Lord for Ai. Even an old guy like me, can

  6. Linda use Okay, so there's no excuse for the rest

  7. of us. Yeah, thank you, Thank you so much. Okay,

  8. we're gonna be doing core value number two, which is

  9. based on Acts two, verse thirty six, which reads like this. Therefore,

  10. let all the House of Israel know assuredly that God

  11. has made Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ

  12. Christ centered. The thing is this, sir, that the one

  13. who who the world tried to eradicate is the one

  14. that the world needs. You. See, when the very first

  15. thing that Peter opened his mouth and told the people

  16. was this Jesus whom you didn't like, This Jesus whom

  17. you gave up to pilot, This Jesus whom you did

  18. not choose over a robber and a murderer, This Jesus

  19. whom you whipped and beat, this Jesus whom you thought

  20. you crushed. He is Lord and Savior and you need

  21. him that's what Peter was actually telling them. You need him. Look,

  22. Jesus has already died across He has already seen with

  23. his father in heaven. He is our advocate. The Bible

  24. says the Holy Spirit that we learned last week, his

  25. dispensation is here on earth. Now. I want you to

  26. know something. It is a privilege to know Jesus Christ.

  27. And when those of us, if there anyone here who

  28. chooses not to believe in Jesus Christ, that is your choice.

  29. That is a choice you have made. And let me

  30. tell you what does Jesus lose any sleep? No, because

  31. he's done the work. The work is over. He has

  32. done what needs to be done in order for you

  33. to be saved. So if you choose it, praise the Lord.

  34. If you don't choose it, he sheds no tears. Let

  35. me tell you, he doesn't shed tears over those of

  36. you that do not choose him, because he's done the work.

  37. So I want to start off with that. I mean,

  38. I'm a little bit different. I want to say it

  39. like it is, okay, because that's the truth. So the

  40. thing is this, we as a church, we try and

  41. do what Jesus tells us to do right. Now. We

  42. try to love people, we try to be nice, we

  43. try to do the right thing, and guess what, we

  44. fail all the time. We fail all the time. But

  45. you know, it's not in actually whether we do it,

  46. but it's in the trying. It's in the trying. As

  47. long as we keep on trying to do what's right,

  48. we'll get it. We will understand it, we will achieve it.

  49. Let me tell you we as a church, we try

  50. and do the right thing, but it is quite easy

  51. to lose track of what's important. And why do we

  52. need to focus on being Christ centered? Because Christ senteredness

  53. is what is important. The Church didn't die for you.

  54. The Church didn't die for you. The church was not

  55. whipped for you. The Church was not ridiculed for you.

  56. But Jesus was. Jesus was, and that is why sometimes

  57. we as a body of believers, we try in our

  58. best to live life like we should, to focus on Jesus.

  59. But it's so easy to get thrown off right or not.

  60. I don't like this church. The fellow is only playing

  61. a cahon. What is this stupid blue box? If you

  62. catch yourself saying that you're in trouble or you say, oh,

  63. how come this church got some yellow lights at the top,

  64. don't you know? It makes me kind of sicky? But

  65. what color is this original world? My mind? I don't

  66. like this chair. It's not like the bucket seats we

  67. have in some of those mega churches. See is your

  68. focus on the right thing? Because if your focus is

  69. on your building, if your focus is on your chair.

  70. I don't like this music. It's too loud. I don't

  71. like this music, it's too soft. I don't like this

  72. music is so old. Come on, get some new songs.

  73. I don't like the guy who's playing the guitar not

  74. handsome enough. No, no, I'm not talking about you, very handsomer.

  75. What are we focusing on, hey, guys, very very important?

  76. Because it's so easy to get sidetracked, so easy to

  77. get torn away from the things that are important. And

  78. you want to know, if we stay our mind on

  79. what's important, we will see the results. If we stay

  80. on minds on what's right, we see God come through

  81. for us. But if we allow ourselves to change our

  82. focus and focus on the thing rather than Jesus, we

  83. put ourselves in dangerous territory. I'm not saying that you

  84. need to like the songs truth be told. There are

  85. some songs I do not like. I mean, we're a

  86. human you know, you know, you know in Christian music,

  87. now there's this this ponent that plays throughout the song.

  88. What is it called? Tap tap pat pat patter. I

  89. can't stand it, truthfully, because every time I hear a song,

  90. I can hear that mosquito in the background. For I

  91. can hear it, and it bothers me. I'm one of

  92. those old school people. When you play the bass line,

  93. it goes bring stops after all, I like it, like that,

  94. but I don't like it. Mm. But you see, is

  95. that my focus? Why do I come to church? Do

  96. I come to church to focus on that music? Or

  97. did I come to church to focus on Jesus when

  98. we pray? Just now? Did you like the scripture? I'm

  99. like a worm, Well, praise Lord, Praise the Lord, because

  100. this worm has God looking after him. See, that's how

  101. you got to look at things. Focus on what's right. Okay,

  102. So who pulls us away from Christ? Can anything separate

  103. you from the love of Christ? Can anything separate you

  104. from Christ? You say, Ah, this bad stuff happened to me?

  105. Oh mind, this bad stuff happened to me. Can that

  106. pull you away from Christ? Well? It should not. If

  107. it does, then it's your fault, right. I mean, when

  108. I met an accident going to church and my leg

  109. was stuck in my motorcycle wheel and I'm lying in

  110. the middle of the on the ground, on the road,

  111. and this yellow fluid coming out of my nose, all right,

  112. And I look at my brother in Christ and his

  113. first words to me were, are you okay? I said,

  114. I'm okay. Are you okay? My leg is still stuck

  115. in them? Did that stop me or not? Because I'll

  116. tell you what. I didn't go to hospital after that.

  117. Now you know where I went. I continued. I went

  118. to church and I praised the Lord and I worshiped

  119. the Lord and I was fine, no injury to my leg.

  120. I don't know what was coming out of my nose,

  121. but it stopped, you know, some kind of nasal food

  122. it was. It was clear yellow nasal fluid. I gonna

  123. tell you that. I guess any of you I've ever

  124. experienced it. But God was there. You see. It did

  125. not stop me from focusing my day. Who was my

  126. day going to be focused on? Jesus? Jesus A lot

  127. of the problems that we face in our lives today

  128. is because we have taken our eyes off the very

  129. one who can help us. So I start off by saying,

  130. our focus is not on lights, our focus is not

  131. on sounds, Our focus is not on likes or dislikes,

  132. but being centered on Jesus. Okay, okay, that who pulls

  133. us away? Okay? Yeah, war or flesh and spirit isn't

  134. ai nice? Yeah? Yeah. I just took my notes, put

  135. it in there and said draw for me slights. This

  136. came out. Yeah, Praise the Lord, war, flesh and spirit.

  137. You know, that's what we live with every day. We

  138. live with a war of a flesh and spirit, true

  139. or not. How many of you didn't want to come

  140. to church today? What so holy? All of you? Okay? Truthfully,

  141. when you woke up, you say, I'm so tired? Why

  142. do you have to go to church? You know, if

  143. you had that feeling and you're still here, praised the

  144. Lord because you've won the battle of war of flesh

  145. versus spirit. And if you and I are truthful, we

  146. face this kind of battle every day, and you see,

  147. you don't realize it, so you don't acknowledge it. And

  148. then after that you think of yourself as a person

  149. who is so bad. God looks at you differently, you know,

  150. you know what he looks at. My child today got

  151. up on the wrong side of the bit. He just

  152. didn't want to get out. But you know what, he's here.

  153. I love him, and you know what you scored. Where

  154. the Lord is concerned, Guys, we war against the spirit

  155. all the time I've been I've known the Lord for

  156. forty five years. Forty seven years. I've known the Lord

  157. for forty seven years, and in forty seven years, I

  158. tremble when I share this word with you. I tremble

  159. when I'm talking about Christ's sentedness because I asked the

  160. Lord Lord, am I Christ centered enough to be able

  161. to share this word? You know what the Lord thinks

  162. of me. He doesn't think of me as that worm.

  163. He thinks of me as that one he has nurtured

  164. from the start. He thinks of me as the one

  165. whom he spoke to my hen said, Terrence, you're not

  166. a Christian except me now, and I received the Lord.

  167. He looks at me as that one who prayed even

  168. though he was a new Christian, but prayed for deliverance

  169. cases who gave up his time. And you know I'm

  170. still reaping the blessing after all these years. God is

  171. continuously blessing me, you know, for through God in Jesus,

  172. we can do all things. Through we can do all

  173. things in Christ, who strengthen us. What is the opposite?

  174. We can do nothing without Jesus. I can tell you

  175. the problems that I faced all the time. I'm stuck.

  176. I can't move. I can't move. Someone like me should

  177. not be able to do it because it's not my training,

  178. it's not my understanding. But I go before the Lord

  179. and I ask him, Lord, can you help me? And

  180. within a few minutes something drops in my spirit and

  181. I do it and it succeeds forty seven years of

  182. doing this. What does it tell you about Jesus? What

  183. does it tell you about being focused on him? Guys,

  184. don't let the enemy rob you of understanding or what

  185. the truth is? What is the truth? As long as

  186. you're looking to Jesus, he will help you. Will that

  187. time come where everything we are and our being is

  188. centered on Christ? Yes? Does it come overnight? No? Because

  189. you and I we are a process at work. What

  190. does the Bible say from glory to glory, he changes me.

  191. Does it say he changed me into someone glorious. Well,

  192. that's the case. I'm already in heaven. Man. That happens

  193. when you go to heaven. Today, I'm alive a few

  194. minutes later on my way to heaven. Once in heaven,

  195. that has been achieved. He has changed me to glory.

  196. But you and eyes, we live on this. We're going

  197. to realize that it is a pro says okay, war

  198. flesh and spirit. Let's read what the word says okay.

  199. In Galatians five sixteen seventeen, it says, I say, then

  200. walk in the spirit, and you shall not fulfill the

  201. loss of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the spirit,

  202. and the spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary

  203. to one another, so that you do not do the

  204. things that you wish. That's what scripture says. So every

  205. time we think of this word flesh, we think or

  206. sexual things. No, not necessarily what I explained to you

  207. just now, I got up. I didn't want to come

  208. to church. Oh I got a headache. I'm not coming

  209. to church. I'll tell you this. Then, my devotion to

  210. the Lord did not depend on whether I was feeling

  211. sick or not. There were times where I had high fever.

  212. You know where I am in church. You know why

  213. because the Lord is higher than my fever. I'm not

  214. telling you to do that. I'm just saying, that's how

  215. the Lord helped me. That's how he changed me. And

  216. we used to believe. Okay, we were thought the only

  217. time we do not go to church to church to

  218. worship the Lord is if we are dead or in

  219. a coma. If these two things conditions were not there.

  220. We were there praising the Lord. And you say, where

  221. does this help? How does this help my I've told

  222. you this so many times before. Please don't do this,

  223. because this is what we did. Okay. We talked to

  224. Father's Day right, What a terrible father I am because

  225. my child was crying and crying and crying and crying

  226. and crying all through the service. How bad of me?

  227. I didn't do anything. But you see, I don't I'm

  228. not superman. I don't have X ray vision. I didn't

  229. know what was wrong. I just knew that on a Sunday,

  230. I need to worship the Lord. Immediately after service, I

  231. took my daughter to the hospital. And they said, your

  232. daughter has dislocated arh. She was one year old, one

  233. and a half year old, something like that. I'm going

  234. to get the X ray to confirm it. That's what

  235. he said. I looked at Eld Mabel and I said,

  236. I am not for my daughter getting X rayed at

  237. this age, so we will pray. I was standing, she

  238. was sitting. Ashley was sitting on her lap, and I prayed, Lord,

  239. in the name of Jesus, heal her. In the name

  240. of Jesus, make her well. In Jesus name, I pray,

  241. and the moment I finished that prayer, actually reached out

  242. with a hand and took the toy that I was holding.

  243. Standing up. She took a toy and she started giggling

  244. and laughing and giggling, laughing. Six hours of crying and

  245. suddenly giggling and laughing. I just picked her up, took

  246. her to the counter, told Nus it's all right, my

  247. daughter is here. We're not going through with the x ray.

  248. And both of us walked up.

  249. Why was there?

  250. Because we had settled in our life that we needed

  251. to put Christ first. Now what does that mean for you?

  252. I don't know. Please don't say her he the elder

  253. did this, I'm going to do this. No, no, no, no,

  254. what is the Lord telling you to do? Don't put

  255. it on me. You are responsible for your own faith.

  256. Christ centered. The flesh wants to know. I want you

  257. to listen to this very carefully. The flesh wants to

  258. know and be like, God, do you want to know everything?

  259. Is it important for you to know everything that's going on? Oh?

  260. I need to know? How come is like this? How

  261. Come is like that? The only time we need to

  262. know something and say we need to know it is

  263. because could it be that we have the lack of

  264. faith to believe that Jesus takes care of the situation.

  265. Ask yourself this. Every time you've wanted to know something,

  266. it's because there's a lack of trust, there's a lack

  267. of faith. The room has grown very, very quiet. It's

  268. so unlike you're but you know it's true. It is

  269. that lack of understanding, the lack of faith that causes

  270. us to want to know everything. Isn't it better to

  271. just say, Jesus, I'm not quite sure what's going on,

  272. but I do know this. You're in control, and I

  273. will have faith and I will trust in you and

  274. I will let nothing rob my joy? Don't you think

  275. that pleases the Lord? Don't you think that? What is trust?

  276. What is faith in the lawd God? Faith and trust

  277. in the Lord is believing God when you don't see it,

  278. when you don't understand it, when you understand it, is

  279. that faith? No? What is that knowledge? I know the

  280. car will run on patrol? Is that faith? No? It's knowledge?

  281. Can I just told this to somebody the other day.

  282. Can can a petrol car run on diesel? How do

  283. you know? Have you tried? Have anyone have you tried?

  284. I have tried. I only put two ringing of diesel

  285. in my petrol tank, not paying attention, and after that

  286. the car was joking. It danced all the way home

  287. until I completely finished the whole tank of petrol. That

  288. was like four hundred kilometers of doing that jerk. So

  289. I realize you can never put diesel in a petrol car.

  290. That is knowledge. What is faith? Faith is not having

  291. to try it. Faith is just saying it's a petrol car.

  292. I'm just gonna put petrol. That's it. That's faith. Because

  293. you never tried, right, so you don't know. So I'm

  294. telling you now now you know, it's no longer faith. Okay,

  295. praise the Lord. So the spirit trust in God and

  296. does what God says. Ah, there are people who say,

  297. I will not believe in Jesus unless I see him.

  298. Have you heard people say that? My question is, who

  299. are you? What makes you so great that Jesus must

  300. appear to you? Are you going to be like Paul?

  301. Because Jesus appeared to Paul and gets what happened? Paul

  302. wrote more than half of the New Testament. Paul had

  303. to lose his head. So how many are you willing

  304. to lose your head? I thank God God did not

  305. show himself to me. But God spoke in my ear.

  306. You know, I can't imagine what would happening if God

  307. showed himself to me. Maybe I have to lose my head,

  308. go into some jungle and preach the gospel. But Nolah,

  309. he didn't ask me to do that. Thank you Lord. Yesterday,

  310. yesterday we went and we went to do community work right,

  311. and we went to Kerry Island and we told the kids.

  312. I can tell you we only did classes. Therefore, we

  313. only did teaching for one and a half hours. But

  314. by the time I got home, I was dead. I

  315. was gone, I was tired. It was like I had

  316. run ten thousand miles. It was so exhausting. I want

  317. you to know. I want you to know that God

  318. supplies He will supply you with the energy. Okay, by

  319. this scriptures, By this you know the spirit of God.

  320. Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come into

  321. flesh is of God. And every spirit that does not

  322. confess Jesus has come in flesh is not of God.

  323. And this is the spirit of the anti Christ, which

  324. you have heard was coming, is and now already in

  325. the world. You are of God, little children, and have

  326. overcome them, because He who is in you is greater

  327. than he who is in the world. Hey, it's very

  328. easy for us to know whether we're living a Christ's

  329. s centered life or not. Do we deny Jesus has

  330. come in the flesh. Some of us don't believe it.

  331. There are group of people who believe that he came

  332. in the flesh, but he wasn't the son of God.

  333. Why is it important for you to read that he

  334. came in the flesh because he came to take our

  335. sin away as a human being. For us to see

  336. that it was possible to live as a human being

  337. in the will of God. And because he lived without sin,

  338. so when he sacrificed himself, he paid our price. And

  339. there are people who deny that, Oh, he didn't go

  340. to the cross. He went to India. You know that,

  341. people who believe that that Jesus did not die in

  342. the cross, he was replaced. It was Judas who died

  343. in cross. There are people who believe that. Let me

  344. tell you that is the spirit of the Antichrist. Because

  345. what they deny that Jesus come in the flesh. Why

  346. is it we do communion? What do we say when

  347. we do communion? We remember what remember the breaking of

  348. his body, We remember the spilling of his blood. Why

  349. is it so important for us to do that? Because

  350. without that we are not saved. That is the very

  351. foundation of our salvation. And guys, you and I got

  352. to realize we need to live that salvation each and

  353. every day of our life. And how do we do

  354. that We remember that he came down as a human

  355. being and paid our price. Being Christ centered doesn't mean

  356. you'll get it right. Being Christ centered means you focus

  357. on Jesus and he will help you get it right. Okay,

  358. are we learning something. Praise the Lord. This is actually

  359. not a very easy thing to teach. It's a little

  360. bit out of my realm. But you know, let's do

  361. what the Lord has told me to do. So do

  362. we have listen to this next line? Okay, it's very important.

  363. Do we have to be like God? Do not put

  364. up your hands okay, because this is a trick question.

  365. Do we have to be like God? When the Word

  366. says we are of Him? Do we have to be

  367. like God? You know what is to be like God?

  368. To be in control all the time. There's only one

  369. being I know who is in control all of the time.

  370. And who is that God? He's the only one I

  371. know who's in control all of the time. I wanted,

  372. I want to read to you from scripture in Ah Okay,

  373. it's taken in chapter three Genesis, chapter three, and it

  374. says this, reading from verse four. Then the serpent said

  375. to the woman, you will not surely die, for God

  376. knows that in that day you eat of it, your

  377. eyes will be open and you will be like God.

  378. When the woman ate the fruit, she wanted to be

  379. like God. Do you and I want to be like God?

  380. It's a problem. It is a problem. What is it

  381. to be like God? To always be in control? Do

  382. we want to be in control all the time? Guys, No,

  383. we don't want to be like about what the scripture say.

  384. Scripture says, the word says, in fact, that we are

  385. off him. We are off Him. In fact, if you

  386. look at one John, chapter five, verse nineteen, it says this,

  387. we know that we are off God. Christ's senteredness is

  388. being off God, not being like God. We are children

  389. of God, but there's only one God, and that is God.

  390. So we don't want to be like God. We want

  391. to be like what scripture says. We want to be

  392. off God? And what is being of God? Christ centered?

  393. We want to focus our attention on Jesus. What does

  394. christ senteredness look like? I'm talking a lot about Christ,

  395. So what is Christ centeredness? How do we see Christ's

  396. senteredness in our life? Okay, when all is stripped away?

  397. Now that's all. So when all is away, what or

  398. should I say? Who is left? Who is left? In

  399. everything that we do? If we take away all the

  400. things that we do, we take away all that glory

  401. and all that pomp, and that grandeur, Oh the nice voice.

  402. We take away all that fantastic music play. We take

  403. away all those miracles that have happened to us, we

  404. take away all these things. Who is left? That's what's important.

  405. If you say we are left, that's not Christ centered.

  406. That is pride. That is pride. What is being Christ centered?

  407. When everything is removed? Who is left Jesus. Let's look

  408. at somescription in Luke nine thirty five. And a voice

  409. came out of the cloud say this is my beloveds Yeah,

  410. and it's God speaking of weak voice. No, I don't

  411. think so, because the voice I heard when he spoke

  412. to me was really powerful. And what was his focus

  413. when that death came down? In fact, this was actually

  414. taken from it. Look nine thirty five is talking about transfiguration.

  415. In transfiguration, In the transfiguration, you had Jesus, and then

  416. after that you had Moses and Elijah appeared together with Jesus,

  417. and it was having this conversation, and Peter got so flustered. Wow,

  418. Moses and Elijah. I do not know how he knew

  419. who was Moses and who was Elijah, but he seemed

  420. to know. The scripture doesn't say how he knew. But

  421. now of mine, maybe they told him. Believe it in that?

  422. Why you wow? Should I build three tense one for

  423. you each of you? He wanted to do something. Guys,

  424. we are always running around trying to figure out what

  425. we should do. You know what happened? The other two

  426. disappeared and only Jesus was left, and then the war.

  427. I said, relax, man, just hear him, just hear him.

  428. Do we just hear Jesus? Or are we listening to

  429. the voices of the world or are we listening to ourselves?

  430. You know, we are the worst voice to listen to

  431. sometimes because we are We are the voice that judges.

  432. We are the voice that, oh no, it shouldn't be

  433. this way, it should be that way. But who made

  434. us judge and jury and executioner? Who put us in charge? Hey,

  435. isn't it more? Isn't it better to be like Jesus?

  436. And you want to know something about the Lord? The

  437. Lord was never one to condemn.

  438. You know.

  439. I think if there's anything that I feel or I

  440. treasure most is that Jesus doesn't condemn me. I mean,

  441. if I were to measure myself against the Lord, I'm

  442. such a rotten person who said yeah, oh you said yeah,

  443. my wife said, yeah. By the way, she agrees that

  444. I am a rotten person. But if I were to

  445. mention myself, I'm not talking about you. I'm talking about me. Okay.

  446. If I were to measure myself against Jesus, I would say,

  447. I think, Lord, something is wrong with you. Why would

  448. you love me so much? Why would you care for me?

  449. Something's got to be wrong with you. But I can

  450. actually have that kind of conversation with him, and then

  451. you know what he can answer me. He would say

  452. something like, did you have a child out of wedlock? Know? Uh,

  453. did you steal someone's wife? No? How about did you

  454. plan a murder? No? I said, then he'll tell me.

  455. But you know, there was someone in scripture who did

  456. that and I still loved him. David did that, and

  457. he's a man after my own heart. What did David do?

  458. He told someone's wife he had a child out of wedlock,

  459. and he murdered the woman's husband. But you know what

  460. he did? He said, Lord, I'm sorry I sinned against you,

  461. and I repent. And then the Lord said, a man

  462. after my own heart. So you see, God is not

  463. about catching us doing wrong, because there will be more

  464. than enough wrong in our life. If he wants to

  465. catch us, he doesn't have to try very hard. That

  466. is a blessing for you. And need to know that

  467. God is not out to get us, right or no,

  468. So we should learn from him and not be out

  469. to get somebody else. God is not out to get us.

  470. He's not out to catch us. I mean, let's look

  471. at scripture in John eighteen, verses ten to eleven, when

  472. Jesus had raised himself up and saw no one but

  473. the woman. Which woman are we talking about. We're talking

  474. about that woman who was caught in adultery. You want

  475. to know something. That man was nowhere to be seen.

  476. Where was the man? This was a set up in

  477. case you don't know, So who was it set up for?

  478. He was set up to trap Jesus. Guys, the enemy

  479. tries to set Jesus up through us all the time.

  480. You got to understand that. So here they brought him before,

  481. they brought her before him. And then he said those

  482. of you without saying you cast the first tone, and

  483. don't mess with the Lord. He started to write on

  484. the ground, don't mess with Jesus. You can't mess with him.

  485. Thank God, he is on our side. Okay, No, one

  486. can mess with him. So when Jesus had raised himself

  487. up and so no one but the woman, he said

  488. to her, woman, where are your Where are these accusers

  489. of yours? Has no one condemned you? She said, no one, Lord,

  490. And Jesus said to her in that loving tone, neither

  491. do I condemn you? Go and said no more? Was

  492. it the angry I'm also not going to condemn you,

  493. but you go, and you better not sin again. Did

  494. he do that? No, Scripture, some of us read it

  495. like that. That's what we think God is like, I'm

  496. letting you off the hook. Now, don't you ever do

  497. this again? If not, I will throw that stone. He

  498. didn't say that. He said, with love and compassion, go,

  499. I'm not going I'm not going to condemn you. I

  500. love you, I believe in you, I trust you. I

  501. know that if I give you an opportunity, eventually you'll

  502. get it. Right. Go and sin no more? Do you

  503. know when when those that's what I read it. When

  504. I read that, I'm reading the heart of God. What

  505. is the heart of God? He believes in you, He

  506. believes it, and he knows that even if you don't

  507. get it, because you love him he can love you back.

  508. I mean, how many of you are Your children do wrong?

  509. You hate them? Can I see your hands? If anyone

  510. of you put up your hands and pray for deliverance

  511. right now? No, when your children do wrong, you don't

  512. hate them. You're loving them even though they're doing wrong.

  513. And you know what in your heart you say. They

  514. just don't see it. One day they will, But that

  515. love in my heart cannot be erased, right a true?

  516. Not those of your parents, fathers and mothers. Do you

  517. agree with that? Now? You can raise your hands if

  518. you agree with that. Okay, I see some half not sure? Okay,

  519. praise the Lord. Yeah, so, no one, Lord before you,

  520. no one is going to accuse me. Do you know

  521. that doing the confession of that woman is yours and

  522. mine to take? Before you? No one can accuse me.

  523. So when the enemy tries to say, oh, you did

  524. this and you did that, you go before the Lord

  525. and say, Lord before you, no one can accuse me.

  526. Please forgive me in Jesus' name, And you know what

  527. he says, I will not accuse you. Go and see

  528. no more, Go and see no more. The women the

  529. woman brought before Jesus to stone in the end, only

  530. Jesus was left. Do you realize good or bad? Good

  531. or bad? Only Jesus remains good or bad? In your life?

  532. Only Jesus remains. What is that? That is letting you

  533. know that in your life Christ is your center. How

  534. many of you use ways and then sometimes the thing

  535. goes wonky and there's this button called center recenter, and

  536. you press the buttons on your copyers. That is what

  537. It's a poor example, but having living a Christ centered

  538. life is always having that very defining force that keeps

  539. you on the straight and narrow, keeps you moving right.

  540. That's what Christ centeredness is all about. Focusing on Jesus.

  541. What does he want for you? Okay? How am I

  542. doing for time? Fifteen minutes? Wow, so I've already done

  543. twenty twenty five minutes? Okay, now forty twenty five fifteen

  544. I'm just being naughty. Okay. Let's look at what Matthew

  545. twenty eight twenty says is teaching them. This is Jesus. Okay,

  546. so maybe I should do the teaching voice Jesus teaching

  547. them to observe all things that I have commanded you

  548. in law. I am with you always, even to the

  549. end of the age a man anyone of you here

  550. named law? Okay, we learned because we are thought craignus.

  551. Why is it that we have learned something because Jesus

  552. has taught us. Our focus is on Jesus. We're looking

  553. at it. And because we learn, we can teach. You

  554. talk about disciples. Oh, I'm such a bad person. How

  555. can I disciple? Hey? Did God call perfect people or not?

  556. Look at these disciples? They were a motley bunch. I

  557. don't know what kind of bunch they were, but they

  558. were not the best. In fact, they were the ones

  559. that people don't want. Who does God choose? He chooses

  560. the ones that are discarded. Who are those us? The

  561. ones who are really fine and good and well don't

  562. want Jesus? There are lots of people who trust in

  563. your wealth? Why not lots of p I got a

  564. lot of money. I can do anything. Really, I know

  565. one billionaire has so much of money but could do

  566. nothing when he got cancer, and he said, better to

  567. be a pauper in life than to be a billionaire

  568. and a grave. Who was that person? Many of you

  569. are holding his handphones. We learn because we are taught.

  570. Others learn because we teach, how do we keep Christ

  571. in the center? We've learned all how do we keep

  572. Christ in the center? Look at what Hebrews twelve two says,

  573. looking onto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,

  574. but for the joy that was set before him and

  575. endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down

  576. at the right hand of the throne of God. I

  577. like this verse because it says that Jesus has started

  578. the faith in us. He's the author, so he starts.

  579. He's the one writing a book. You know, if Jesus

  580. writes a book, do you think he ends in failure? Hey,

  581. that should give you encouragement that when you focus on Jesus,

  582. he's writing your book. What is the name of the book, Alex,

  583. What is the name of the book, Elie? In Ellie's book,

  584. there will be diving ten meters without tank Eli's book.

  585. Go ahead. Today, I had a prayer, pray for me

  586. that I have a sound mind. H So we were

  587. praying to get today, and they were praying for me,

  588. you know, And then I look at her the mean

  589. and I say, I thought I had a sound mind

  590. and my unsound The prayer came. I pray for him,

  591. let him have a sound mind. Okay, I received that

  592. prayer in the name of Jesus. It's okay, it's okay.

  593. You know I can I can hear the Holy Spirit

  594. having a good laugh. You mean to say the Holy

  595. Spirit laughs, Yes, he does. I mean you're a father,

  596. you have a kid, Your kid does something funny. You

  597. don't laugh? What descriptures say we are image of God? Right?

  598. I know there's agreement there somewhere. So we focus on

  599. the person of Jesus. Christ is so awesome. Christ is

  600. so why would we not focus on the best thing

  601. in our lives. He's the best thing that ever happened

  602. in our life? Why would we not focus on him?

  603. Do you see me walking so fine? Now? Praise the Lord.

  604. I can do comfork. Also, my knee is here because

  605. of Jesus. Four months I had that dislocated me, and

  606. that wonderful doctor who took the X ray did not

  607. see it. But I want to praise praise the Lord

  608. that God saw it and he killed me because I

  609. did not allow that me to take my eyes off

  610. trying to do what was rise. And when the Lord

  611. saw that, I still continue. Well done, my good and

  612. faithful son. Now is the time, and you know how

  613. how how long the healing took he took her. You

  614. don't worry. I'm going to talk. He did it before

  615. he told me what he was going to do. My

  616. knee came back in place and instantly I can walk again.

  617. I want you to know God is like that. You've

  618. got to focus on him doing what's what he tells

  619. you to do. That is what being Christ sentered is.

  620. Being Christ sentered is doing what he tells you to do,

  621. not what you want to do. Now, if you if

  622. what you want to do is what he wants to do,

  623. christ centered. If what you want to do is not

  624. what he wants to do, that is self centered. You

  625. always want to know why I say I'm such a

  626. rotten person, because if you ask my family members, they

  627. will tell you when I was growing up, I was

  628. the most self centered kid. I always thought of myself

  629. and I you know, if God had to break through

  630. that it took God four years. Four years of my

  631. life is a long time. Four years in God's time

  632. is nothing, all right, But it took four years for

  633. him to break through. And then when he broke through,

  634. he just spoke to me and spoke those words in

  635. my ear, and great things have happened since then. Guys,

  636. what's your issue? What are you facing? But is it

  637. that problem in class? Is it that lecture you can't understand?

  638. Is it that project that you that you can't complete.

  639. You are a child of God. You go before the Lord.

  640. You mean to say, God, can I help you? God

  641. helping you doesn't mean you go to Starbucks, come back

  642. at two three am and next day at seven am.

  643. You got to give your project up. That is not

  644. asking God to help. That is asking God to help

  645. you cheat. God is not your cheat. What you have

  646. to do. What your responsibility is you do. If your

  647. responsibility goes against what He tells you to do, him first,

  648. then you. But if you decide you want to drink

  649. coffee until three four am in the morning, that's got

  650. nothing to do with God. That's you. That's the difference

  651. between self centeredness and christ senteredness. You mean to say

  652. it was easy for us to go and teach kids

  653. whom we do not know somewhere so far away. It

  654. wasn't easy. But you know what we said, Yes, those

  655. those of us who win my homies, We said, yes,

  656. who are we saying yes to the church. Yes, we're

  657. saying yes to the missing Church, but really who he

  658. is saying yes to. We're saying yes to to Christ,

  659. to Jesus. So in that moment, were we self centered

  660. or Christ centered? Christ? We were looking to Him to

  661. help us. It's so easy to know where you are

  662. and where you stand and to answer your own questions,

  663. am I doing right? It's so easy, but people don't

  664. want to ask those questions because they want to keep

  665. the door open to doing what they want to do. Guys,

  666. you gotta love Jesus, you gotta focus on him, and

  667. you've gotta trust him. I want to give you a warning.

  668. In John ten ten it says this, the thief does

  669. not come for any other reason. It does not come

  670. except to steal, to kill, and to destroy. What do

  671. they steal? How do they steal?

  672. You know?

  673. All the thief has to do is to steal Christ

  674. from the center of your life. And he's got you.

  675. Did you ever wonder why there are people who can

  676. leave the Lord? Did you ever wonder why? I mean,

  677. amable myself. We've been Christian now for forty five years

  678. or more. You mean to say we haven't got gone

  679. through tough things. I mean, the things that you've gone

  680. through is so terrible. Sometimes we've really gone through some really,

  681. really tough times. It's so easy to walk away. There

  682. are lots of people who walk away when times get

  683. and then they don't realize they think times are going

  684. to get easier if they don't have Jesus. You have

  685. no idea. You know why it seems to get easier

  686. because the devil doesn't have to concentrate on you. He's

  687. got you already. He's going to concentrate on somebody else

  688. that has Jesus because he wants to get them to

  689. So maybe you think you say, oh I'm okay, I'm better,

  690. I'm fine. You know why, it's a lie. It's a lie.

  691. You know what is the truth. The truth is that

  692. because we are selves, we are Christ centered. The truth

  693. is we'll go through tough times better than tough times

  694. now than tough times later on. Oh again, the room

  695. is very quiet. I don't know how I else you

  696. tell it to you, except to tell you that it's

  697. worthwhile focusing on Jesus. That's the thing that's going to

  698. carry you, not just for five minutes, but for five decades.

  699. Seven decades until you meet him. That's the only thing

  700. that's going to carry you through your tough times and

  701. through your easy times. You know, it's so much better

  702. to have Jesus helping you during the tough times because

  703. your life is centered on him. You know what is

  704. the thing that he helps you? The thing that I

  705. was prayed for this morning? Keep my mind saying, you

  706. know that was that was a good prayer, by the way.

  707. You know why, you know why there was a good

  708. prayer because during tough times, where's the attack here? So

  709. this is where you need to send a Christ. When

  710. you send a Christ in your heart, it will help

  711. put your mind. It is what does scriptures say, Stay

  712. your mind on Christ. The peace of God that passes

  713. all understanding will come. Okay. He wants the best for us.

  714. Jesus wants the best for us. Surrendered things that we

  715. want to Jesus. Wow, the scripture says. A scripture says,

  716. what is the second I have come? That they may

  717. have life and they may have life more abundantly. Guys,

  718. you and I want many things, right, nothing wrong with

  719. wanting things. Do you know that God wants things for

  720. you too? You pray and you say God, God, can

  721. I have this? If you don't get it, He's already

  722. answered you. The only answer he's given you is you

  723. gotta an You gotta find out whether it's wait or no.

  724. He gives it to you, gives it to you. La. Well,

  725. I remember one sir, I wanted a new tennis record. Okay,

  726. I wanted a wooden tennis record because so I wanted

  727. a new tennis record. And that was the first time

  728. I learned about tithing. So the money I was saving

  729. for the wooden tennis record, I put it in the

  730. tithe so you no money. Then out of the blue,

  731. that very weak my father asked me, Hey, I think

  732. I want to get you a new tennis record. But

  733. thank you, Dad, how much do you need? I need

  734. a Here it is and I got my new tennis

  735. record straight away. Praise the Lord. God wants things for you.

  736. Do you know that. But if it doesn't give it

  737. to you, there's two reasons. One is no, I want

  738. a Bugatti. Bugatti is the most expensive car in the world,

  739. two three million pounds. I don't know how much that

  740. is in ring it. Okay, Ah, why do you need

  741. a Bugatti? How fast do you think you can go

  742. on a Malaysian road, can go faster, cannot cannot go fast.

  743. So what's the point really give it to you? I

  744. don't think so. But then sometimes you say, Lord, I

  745. need a car, and you are willing to get a

  746. I don't want to say it, but you're willing to

  747. get one of those cars that be made since nineteen

  748. eighty five. Okay, but you don't get it, and you

  749. think what God is not answered by your prayer. No,

  750. maybe he's telling you hang on a bit. I want

  751. to get you a better car. See that's what it

  752. means when Scripture says I've come to give you life

  753. and have it more abundantly as fast to say that

  754. there is nothing that I want God cannot give. The

  755. only criteria is does God want it for me or not?

  756. And Ivie doesn't want it for me. I don't want it.

  757. That's what Pastor in this section he is basically said that,

  758. so he wants the best for us. Surrender things to Jesus.

  759. And I think I'm coming to the end, so the

  760. team can come up surrender things we want to Jesus,

  761. and Ivie wants it for us. He will give the

  762. best of it. You see, he doesn't. Shot changes. He

  763. gives us the best. We may focus on something not

  764. so good. He may give us something better. If not,

  765. he is something better of a different purpose that makes

  766. us better. Do you get it? You wonder thing, and

  767. it doesn't give it to you. He gives you something

  768. totally different because he wants to make you better. How

  769. lovely is that? That's what it means. From glory to glory.

  770. He changes me. Hey, guys, I'm not trying to well,

  771. I am trying to sell you on this that when

  772. you live a life that is Christ centered, you have

  773. everything you need. Nothing can be with help from us

  774. if God wants it from us. And I'll end with

  775. this slight nothing is more beautiful than Jesus. If you

  776. have forgotten everything I've said this morning, if you can't

  777. remember any thing that I've said this morning, just remember this.

  778. If you can live your life, if we can live

  779. our life where nothing is better than Jesus, then we

  780. will be Christ centered. And this is a very valuable

  781. It is one of our twelve core values twelve plus one.

  782. To be Christ centered. Christ centered frees us from being judgmental.

  783. Christ centered us sentenedness frees us from the spirit of

  784. where we are always thinking about sin in our life.

  785. It freezes us from regret. Instead, it focuses on the

  786. one the only one who is able to help us,

  787. the only one who is able to change our lives,

  788. the only one who's able to make all things new,

  789. and the only one who makes all things beautifully. Isn't

  790. it lovely? Isn't the name of Jesus lovely?
