  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Prayer powered. Now, if you notice all the core values

  4. is the noun first, for example, the first one is spirit,

  5. and then it followed by a verb like field like

  6. when it's word, it's word, and then faithful all right,

  7. and then now it's prayer the noun. But the verb

  8. that is in line with it is powered. Why so

  9. we will look at it later. Why not prayer something?

  10. Or you know why disciples? Shep why focus? Okay? Okay,

  11. So there's a reason why, pastor when he when we

  12. chose the twelve values, the twelve plus one values, we

  13. put it together. Okay. So now I want all of

  14. us to turn to page I think it's twenty am

  15. I right? And only two pages? No? So they shot one? Okay,

  16. they can go lunch. Okay, okay. So and then you

  17. notice there's only three points inside these two pages right right?

  18. And how many versus three versus? Also three points three

  19. versus two pages and the rest of it are lines

  20. blank lines? Do what right now? Okay? It's you brought

  21. your pain with you, your physical bibles with you, and

  22. your booklet with you. Okay. So if you turn to

  23. page twenty, this is what I want all of us

  24. to do together. Can we do that, okay, is to

  25. read this paragraph together. Why? Because it summarizes all day

  26. we're going to talk about today. Okay, okay, Shane, can

  27. we do that? We don't just believe in the power

  28. of prayer. Prayer is what powers us. That's why prayer

  29. powered Okay. There is a difference. One in a doctrinal position,

  30. the other is a lived reality. I want you to

  31. underline lived reality. Go in a class, gun. It's much amas.

  32. You'll never never die and you'll never go away already. Okay, Okay,

  33. here we move on. Prayer is not an event, a formality,

  34. or a sentence we tag onto our decisions. It is

  35. the engine of all we do when X moves forward.

  36. The strategy is prayer. Not if we pray, but when

  37. we pray, it summarizes everything. Okay. So if you goad home,

  38. someone ask you what you learn today, you must remember

  39. all right? Okay, Now I just want to pause for

  40. a while. If you have not received a booklet, yeah,

  41. and you are one of our partners, please raise your hand.

  42. And I believe our host the past you want, but

  43. if you're visiting today and you don't have, we also

  44. have copies that you can have it for today so

  45. that you can follow. Okay, so there are some hands raised, right,

  46. maybe you're not around for the past few weeks, right

  47. or okay, but if you forget to bring pristone Bases

  48. or Hannah okay, okay, So for the next how many

  49. world weeks, we got to bring our booklet to church? Okay,

  50. all right, everybody go okay, very good. Okay, Now as

  51. a host are giving the booklets. Thank you again, hosts.

  52. The first one we're going to look at is the

  53. gift of prayer Church? Do you know that prayer is

  54. a gift? Let me share something with you. I forgot

  55. to share this to the am just now. Never mind,

  56. sorry they're lost. No. Like recently this week I was

  57. attending a training and doing the training. The training topic

  58. is some other thing, but that part of the training.

  59. The trainer who's a very good trainer, but not a believer,

  60. like good trainer, he was sharing about some things and

  61. he asked the group, a small group of us, what

  62. do you do when you are stressed or how do

  63. you manage your stress? Very normal typical question, and it's

  64. a work related training, so it's in the context of

  65. your workplace and all. So everyone gives their answers something

  66. I'll eat, they'll find something they like to eat and

  67. they choose something, or I will get something sweet just

  68. so that I feel happy, Okay, good. Some say I'll

  69. go exercise or place a spot. Some say I'll go

  70. and I just go and't sleep. All right, So different

  71. different things that what works for you? So different ones,

  72. no wrong or right answer. So the trainer was just asking.

  73. At that moment, there was already day two on the training,

  74. so it was over two days and day two just

  75. this bit of each within me. I'm like, because his

  76. question was what works for you? I'm answering his question, mam.

  77. So I try not to be offensive to anyone, but

  78. my answer would be I pray. No, even I'm stressed.

  79. What do I do? I had to pray? La how

  80. I'm scolding people here? Right? No, cannot so I will pray,

  81. So I said, can I share? But this is what

  82. I do? So I just kind of like, you know,

  83. disclaimer a bit. I'm not saying that, you know, but

  84. I pray. And I didn't stop there because a lot

  85. of them are from different religion and they pray too,

  86. but their definition of prayer may be different. So I

  87. added on, I talked to God. So no, no, So

  88. it's a funny thing is that this is the trainer

  89. he wrote, because he was writing all the answers of

  90. everyone else on the board. So you write, pray, but

  91. he didn't write after that, what I say will be like, oh, okay,

  92. and I don't know what's that, but pray. Then after

  93. that he went on, because what his question was, when

  94. you are triggered, right, because triggers called stress, okay, okay,

  95. when you are triggered by something, what do you want?

  96. Are your options? So you're trying to he's trying to

  97. help us, you know, manage it, you know, in a workplace.

  98. So he gave us the scenario. Even you're in a meeting,

  99. a work meeting, and in the meeting something triggered you,

  100. maybe something someone said. It happens, right normal, we all

  101. real world. Something triggers you in a meeting. He said,

  102. you can't go and suddenly say I want to go

  103. to the canteen and buy buy something sweet, right, or

  104. I go and I'm going to sleep now I want

  105. to go and play badminton. Now you can't. So what

  106. are your options? So by the time he limited it

  107. right because some of them answered, take a deep breath, right, okay,

  108. and then some an said some answered just don't do

  109. anything for a while, okay. So he limited to only

  110. two answers. Take a deep breath and temporarily don't do anything.

  111. Don't say anything, because sometimes when you simply you and

  112. you you, you trigger you just out right just don't

  113. do anything. Correct. There are some of the tips, right

  114. if you're triggered, just breath, no need to do anything yet. Correct.

  115. But in my heart, he didn't take pray because he said, yeah,

  116. this one you used to go to go to them

  117. sa bayangan, and you have to after that. So after

  118. the meeting you go, so you or you're going pray

  119. that what the world would define it. But in my heart,

  120. I'm like, oh, if you only know the power that

  121. God has given to us, right, we can actually pray

  122. in the meeting itself. You don't need to wait until

  123. the meeting over and then we go and pray on

  124. the spot. You say, Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, help me, no,

  125. whatever you want to pray, it's okay, this will be

  126. honest to God because you're triggered. Da, I'm like, that's okay,

  127. thank you Jesus, thank God, you God help me, God

  128. help me. Why not? But that was what I was trying.

  129. But again it only reminded me again how blessed we

  130. are that we have the gift of prayer. All right,

  131. So this is the first point. Prayer is a gift

  132. from God. Now the verse is Philippians chapter four. Now

  133. why is it a gift? Now? But before that, now,

  134. all our core values are taken from X yy So

  135. X chapter two. We say that we see that the

  136. disciples or they were in one chord, They followed the

  137. Apostles doctrine, and they were in prayer together. That's where

  138. we get all our Tralve values. But before X chapter

  139. two is X chapter of course, lie, ye're so smart, y'are? Okay? So,

  140. but before we have the X chapter two, the Holy

  141. Spirit chapter. The Penticons chapter is X chapter one. Read

  142. go home, your homework is read EX Chapter one. What

  143. happened in EX Chapter one? They pray? All right, So

  144. before anything can happen, prayer will need to start off us, okay,

  145. And our God is a prayer answering God. And prayer

  146. is one of the best gifts that He has given

  147. to each and every one of us. Now, I want

  148. to go to Philippians Chapter four, verse six, and you're

  149. in your book. There's the first verse. It says six

  150. to seven. But I'm going to read until verse eight.

  151. Are we okay? So you can turn to your bibles

  152. or look into your booklet is dead. But the booklet,

  153. I think, is showing the new King James. I'm going

  154. to read from the new living translation on the screen.

  155. Don't worry about anything. Verse six. Paul is saying to

  156. the Philippine church. Instead, pray about everything, Tell God what

  157. you need and thank him for all he has done.

  158. Verse six, verse seven. Then this is where the promise

  159. comes in. All right, so member, that's verse six the

  160. action on your part, and then the seven verse seven

  161. is where the promise comes. Then you will didn't say

  162. you may or they just say you will. You will

  163. experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. He's peace.

  164. Will God your hearts and minds as you live in

  165. Christ Jesus and verse eight. And now, dear brothers and sisters,

  166. one final thing I felt that all is saying that

  167. I say to Sciety, so sorry, one more thing I

  168. want to say. Okay, okay, what did Paul say? Fix

  169. your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right

  170. and pure and lovely and admirable or good reputation in

  171. the New King James, think about things that are excellent

  172. and worthy of praise Church. The word God here, the

  173. peace of God will God your hearts and minds? Right

  174. In Greek, what it actually means means it will garrison

  175. your mind. Okay, So imagine armyker walker garrison. That means

  176. no and no. Look hoan, all right. It's not like

  177. I put my arm around my say I put my

  178. arm around Joanne. I put one armonima. Not a garrison, right,

  179. you can if you want. Right right here is a

  180. garrison all right of your mind. So the peace of

  181. God will God. It means God peace will hold your

  182. mind so that no evil pressures or tormenting influence can

  183. access your mind. Amen. Amen, And that's one. Now. The

  184. word peace, now this is New Testament, but of course

  185. in the original in the Hebrew, it actually means more

  186. than just no conflict or the absence of conflict, meaning

  187. we will think that peace means no conflict or means

  188. no conflict peace right, But it actually means more than that.

  189. It means wholeness and well being, meaning it will start

  190. from the inner man, but it will lead to total

  191. well being. Right. So it works out in and out

  192. in every area of our lives, in the physical and

  193. in the spiritual as well. That's how powerful the peace

  194. of God will guard our hearts and our minds. Amen.

  195. But Church, in order for the promise in verse seven,

  196. what are the other things in verse six and eight

  197. that keept it in the middle, that kept the promise

  198. missandwiched the promise in the middle? What do we call them?

  199. The conditions? Meaning the actions on our part? What do

  200. we need to do in order to see the peace

  201. of God guarding our hearts and our minds? Can you

  202. see that there are a few conditions listed in verse

  203. six and verse eight, Kyah, most of you are in

  204. verse six what us Verse six starts off with do

  205. not be anxious? And the new King James says, be

  206. anxious of nothing but in everything by prayer, and said

  207. so even that itself is three conditions. So the first

  208. one is this, don't worry about anything. Now we got

  209. to meanzha we got to refuse worry church okaya, meaning

  210. if anything in your life that you need to fight with, right,

  211. fight worry, fight anxiety, okay, because you will worry one,

  212. henry or you never worry one, never have anxiety emon kyah.

  213. I would say even the most calm person, the most

  214. the person who get it go get got everything. So

  215. we will have one point or another feels anxiety worry. Right.

  216. So the Bible, when Jesus do not mine, it's because

  217. he knows that. He didn't even say when you feel worry,

  218. when you worry, it's like, do not worry you men,

  219. mun will worry one. So don't be too worried that

  220. you're worried. Okay. It's a normal human thing that we

  221. all worry. We all, you know, feel anxious at different times.

  222. So it's just what we do when we feel worried.

  223. All right, every time we worry or anxiety comes in

  224. into our minds, we got to refuse it, all right,

  225. turn to your neighbor and say refuse it, fight it

  226. all right, okay, say it, do it. I am justified

  227. by God. Amen. God holds nothing against me. I've peace

  228. with God. God is on my side and all of

  229. God's resources is available to me. You got to keep

  230. on claiming and saying it to yourself. Imen, refuse to

  231. be worried or be anxious. Amen. That is the first

  232. condition in order for the peace of God to God

  233. our hearts and our minds. Secondly, once the second condition

  234. that Paul says, be anxious of nothing, but pray about everything.

  235. So it's something active. It's not passive. You sit there

  236. and wait for the peace of God. No, you got

  237. to pray. Amen. Tell God what you need. Is as

  238. simple as that in some other translation. So if I

  239. were to, if you ask his teacher, I'll tell the children,

  240. because the concept of prayer, it can sound a very

  241. big thing. But to just break it down is to

  242. tell God what you need and what you want. Amen,

  243. tell God what you need. Now you'll know this, Oh

  244. this show sure, this congression will shure know that him

  245. what a friend we have in Jesus. Yes, sir Am,

  246. I was a bit like because most of them are

  247. young like. But he surprisingly they know. So can we

  248. all sing together? John John don't know? Is it doesn't

  249. know ohe him la lah lie wha the friend we

  250. have and mean every word that you sing. Oh what

  251. things and graves to bear. What a privilege to care

  252. every everything to God in prayer. This is my favorite part.

  253. Oh what peace we often fall feed? Oh what needless

  254. pain we bear? Ah, because we do not care. We

  255. every thing to God. Amen. Amen, What needless pain we

  256. bear because we do not bring it to God in prayer.

  257. And it's a privilege to be able to bring it

  258. to God in prayer. Amen. Amen. For those of you

  259. who notice him singing and remember this, Amen, Amen, hallelujah.

  260. Now the third condition, so be anxious of nothing. We

  261. fuse worry andnxiety, pray about everything. But what is the

  262. third one? Very important? Give thanks? You got to pray

  263. and thank God at the same time. So it comes

  264. hand in hand, all right, prayer and thanksgiving, thank Him

  265. for all he has done. It's not enough to just pray.

  266. We must pray with a thankful heart. You know why,

  267. because a thankful heart in itself is a peaceful heart.

  268. Try being thankful and see guarantee. Right, it's almost a

  269. guaranteed formula. You're anxious, you worry, you just start giving

  270. thanks to God. It's always very powerful. Amen. And finally

  271. I got the last condition from verse eight. If you read.

  272. After verse seven, Paul added one more one more thing,

  273. He said, think about the right things, Amen, Fix your

  274. thoughts on the right things right now. Things that are honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable,

  275. good reputation, things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Church,

  276. Do you know that we have the power to focus

  277. on our minds on what we wish to mm hmm.

  278. We can focus on the bed. I'm talking to myself like,

  279. becuse sometimes I tend to focus its Okay, it depends

  280. so your your makeup. If your makeup is the optimistic type,

  281. don't worry, don't worry. But if you're a bit more

  282. swaying towards the pessimistic type, are you sure not? Are

  283. you sure or not? Okay? Okay, different personalities, we may

  284. have different ways of you know, swaying to our way

  285. of thinking. But remember God's world, say focus right on

  286. what is good, because what will focus on is what

  287. you're going to get, all right. We will find what

  288. we are looking for when we are looking at it.

  289. If you want to look for the positive, you will

  290. find the positive. If you're looking for the negative, you

  291. will find it. For example, if I look at Qunchin

  292. and I only look for the negative. Do you think

  293. I'll find it? Of course, because we all got negative

  294. fund true or not. But if I look at Conchin

  295. and I find the positive in Quanchin, well I find it.

  296. Of course we will find over So you will get

  297. what you look for. So Church, look for it. Okay.

  298. So this is the conditions, so that the peace of

  299. God for God, our hearts and our minds. Amen. Amen,

  300. Because prayer is a gift from God. Can your neighbors

  301. say prayer is a gift? All right? Now let me

  302. move on next month the integrity of prayer. So Church,

  303. we also need to be careful. Remember earlier on we

  304. read the introduction and we say that it's not prayer.

  305. It's not something we attached to the end of our

  306. sentence when we want to, you know, convince someone of

  307. our decisions and say, oh, yeah, but I prayed about it. No. Really,

  308. it happens to all of us too, right, Yes, So

  309. we got to be careful, especially when we make major

  310. decisions in our lives we really pray about it or

  311. we just want to sound a little bit holy yearning. No,

  312. if we're honest, yes, we just want to justify our

  313. own decision and we make it sound holy and live.

  314. I praty, I pratty. Then nobody can say anything true,

  315. No one but God knows. So because there's power in prayer,

  316. time will tell, right, because it will be shown when

  317. it will be Sein, the power or prayer will be Sein,

  318. and time will tell whether we really pray about it

  319. or not. Amen. Amen. So that is the integrity or prayer.

  320. So church, that's remembered. It's not just something to tag

  321. along with our decisions. Let's be really sincere and say God,

  322. if there's something I want to pray for, a direction

  323. I'm seeking God. Let's really seek the Lord, and let's

  324. look into his word and all that his word says

  325. and be accountable to our leaders, right disciples, she focus. Amen. Amen.

  326. So remember all the core values tied into each other.

  327. And later as I go along, I can't help it.

  328. It will go back to word faithful, You'll go back

  329. to the spirit field. It will always be interling. Amen.

  330. Moving on all right? Third one third point, you can

  331. turn to your page to any one day, because that

  332. will be the page that we will talk about being

  333. prayer power. What does it mean to be prayer power?

  334. So early on we said right, there's the prayer the noun,

  335. but there's a verb that comes with it, right, Why

  336. prayer powered? Right? Okay, So there are a few points

  337. that I have here. Firstly is there are four sub

  338. points right, just to just to again bring out this value,

  339. why prayer powered? Right? Prayer is a lifestyle, not an event.

  340. Can we say amen to that? And were ready at

  341. the beginning as well. So prayer is not an event.

  342. It is a lifestyle. And that is why church we

  343. you know, when we have prayer services, we really encourage

  344. everyone to come together to pray and we're not judging.

  345. So there's no judgment here, like you know why you're

  346. not here, No, but because simply because we believe and

  347. means we are already praying in our everyday lives. But

  348. the prayer, the corporate prayer is just one of those

  349. that we come together to pray. But individually, we believe

  350. in the power of prayer and we are praying praying believers. Amen,

  351. And we come together because we believe in the power

  352. of corporate prayer. Amen. Amen. So, prayer service on Tuesdays

  353. or whether our decentralize our prayer services on Tuesdays or

  354. even our combined prayer rallies in a year. They are

  355. all not an event. Although we have to plan Neylane

  356. such as like an event. For example, we still got

  357. to get a venue. We've got to put a team

  358. together to serve. We've got to make sure that there

  359. are people managing the thing, the parking, everything, so it's

  360. managed like an event, but it is not an event. Amen, Amen,

  361. all right. So because we believe when we come together,

  362. God is here with us. He hears our prayers and

  363. he answers us. So Church, remember this is God's twelve

  364. values for ex Church. Twelve plus one by the way, okay,

  365. twelve one for ex Church. So if we really want

  366. to see ex Church power forward and to see the

  367. things of God coming to us in our minds and

  368. in our hearts, the dreams and the visions and the

  369. hopes and the desires, right Church, God has given us

  370. a strategy. And what's the strategy prayer? All right? Without prayer,

  371. there is no ex church. Do you believe that? Okay,

  372. So it's a strategy from God. Now Jesus said, so

  373. why we say that it's not an event, it's a lifestyle.

  374. Because Jesus himself said he just didn't say oh, if

  375. you prayer, Jesus said, when you pray, Remember we read

  376. it earlier on and this is found in Matthew six,

  377. chapter six, verse six. So you can turn to your

  378. bibles and you can read the verse on the screen.

  379. What did Jesus say? And I want to focus on

  380. the first two words of this verse. Jesus said, and

  381. this is the time when he was preaching and some

  382. of the mound, same chapter when he taught us the

  383. Lord's prayer. All right, so Jesus is teaching his disciples.

  384. And he said, but when you pray, go away by yourself,

  385. shut the door behind you, pray to your father and private,

  386. and the father who sees everything will reward you. So

  387. my focus is the but when you pray, turn to

  388. your neighbor and say, not if, but when, meaning Jesus

  389. didn't start off his thing to say when if you pray?

  390. He already said when, meaning he expects all of us

  391. to pray. Amen. Amen. So prayer it's not an option,

  392. it's an obedience. So it's not a just an event.

  393. It's a lifestyle that we live every day. Amen. Now

  394. the second point here is that prayer is what that

  395. powers us forward and that's why we call this value

  396. prayer power, meaning is the engine that powers us to

  397. achieve all the god ones for us? Amen? Amen? And

  398. what power is this, Rea doy, we get this power

  399. power of the Holy Spirit. So again I'm going back,

  400. tying back to spirit fuld very first call value because

  401. Baso said, like what Baso said to us when he

  402. shared it with us, this Holy Spirit was from the

  403. beginning of creation and he will be in all and

  404. all until the beginning to the end is all Holy Spirit. Amen. Amen.

  405. So it's the Holy Spirit's power. So the question now

  406. I want to ask you and I and myself as well,

  407. do we really believe in the power prayer? Again, I

  408. star thought of saying that if you ask anyone, any

  409. believer that you know of, do they believe in prayer,

  410. they will say yes, it's not then they won't be

  411. a Christian, correct. But the question now to you and

  412. I is do you really believe in the power of prayer?

  413. We need to believe enough to actually pray. You can

  414. say you believe, we think, we believe, We know we

  415. believe supposed to believe, but do we believe enough that

  416. we will actually do it practice it? All? Right? So

  417. EX Church is where we are today only because we pray.

  418. I told the Am Church Adam Church was birth only

  419. because we pray savely ten am two. So every time

  420. if you're early enough, yeah, you're join us for the

  421. pre worship prayer. If you will notice, before any church

  422. plant is being birth or we start a new plan,

  423. we will always be on the pointman, pray for the

  424. plant thing of so and so church. Why because it

  425. always starts with prayer. It's what that is what powers

  426. us forward. Amen. So we will always pray, and that's

  427. how we started. So X Church is founded on that

  428. and we believe in the power of prayer. Amen. Amen.

  429. And it is not only prayer is not an option

  430. like when Jesus said when and not if, It is

  431. also a requirement that gets us to where God wants

  432. us to Remember, I said in the beginning we read

  433. the first paragraph. Is the engine? All right, it's the engine.

  434. You can have a beautiful car on the outside. No

  435. engine can move or not cannot move, Okay, So it's

  436. the engine insight that moves the car forward. So why

  437. is X today having hiding more than sixty over churches

  438. across ten nations, is because every Church plan has been

  439. prayed for. Amen. Amen, God, this is all the glory

  440. because he's the one who powers prayer, and he's the

  441. one who answers prayer. Amen. Amen. Okay. Now I want

  442. to turn us to efficients chapter three, verse twenty. This

  443. verse is not in your booklet. I want to show

  444. and bring us to this one and show us that

  445. it is the Holy Spirit who gives us the power. Amen. Amen.

  446. And there's no limit when we set our minds and

  447. we understand what God can do through our prayers Imen

  448. Ephesians three twenty. And some of us can memorize this

  449. is oh okay, this is new living translation. Here we

  450. go verse twenty. Now, all glory to God who is able,

  451. to his mighty power at work within earths to accomplish

  452. infinitely more than we ask or think. In the New

  453. King James, it says God is able to do exceedingly

  454. abundantly above all that we are a thing according to

  455. the power that's work that's at what we do us.

  456. So what's that power that's at what witinness Holy Spirit.

  457. Go back to the Spirit via the Holy Spirit at work.

  458. Widdiness is the power, Amen, that works through us so

  459. that God can do exceedingly abundantly, meaning what you pray for,

  460. what you ask God, God can do above and beyond

  461. true the Holy Spirit working in our lives. Amen, hallelujah.

  462. If you're not excited, I hope you're excited with this, Amen.

  463. So it is a Holy Spirit who gives us a

  464. power that makes our prayer effective. So again, there's no

  465. such thing as effective prayer without Holy Spirit. Okay, okay. So,

  466. and there is no limit that we can set with

  467. our minds and our understanding as to what God can

  468. do when we pray. We pray with the power working

  469. in us. Immen. So the effectiveness of prayer is according

  470. to the power that works within ess And what is

  471. that power, the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen. That

  472. brings me to my third one. All right, the third point.

  473. So the second one. You're saying that this is the prayer, prayer,

  474. prayer powers forward, Amen, with the Holy Spirit power. But

  475. prayer reveals our dependency. Okay, let's see. So whether we

  476. pray or not reveals who we are depending on. Do

  477. you agree everyone who does not pray is actually making

  478. a statement. They're saying that they are depending on something else.

  479. Right now, if we don't pray, it means we don't

  480. need God, lad, But a person who prais is essentially

  481. saying God, I need you, right. But in other words,

  482. when we don't pray, it's like saying God, I don't

  483. need you. I got discovered. I can set though, So

  484. it's almost putting your hand and say God, it's okay,

  485. I can settle this myself, right, okay. But everyone who

  486. prays is saying God, I really need you. So remember

  487. when we stop praying, we're actually saying God, I got this,

  488. thank you very much, but no, thank you? Why not?

  489. And we stop depending on God? Students here, And I

  490. was a season two before do you really do you? Do?

  491. You pray more when you are desperate, when you're going

  492. to face your exams and you're not fully ready, okay,

  493. but all the ready students like, yeah, I'm always ready,

  494. not even radio. So you pray right, because you'll never

  495. be ready enough to or not never be ready enough,

  496. never all right? So we always need God? Right? Yeah?

  497. But when but there will be one time or the

  498. two times that you really desperately need you can see

  499. your prayer ride, your prayer goes all the way up God,

  500. I need you right, right, because we need the Lord.

  501. It's just an analogy of how we cry out to

  502. God when we need him, immen. So if we come

  503. to a place like God, it's okay, I got this,

  504. and we rely on what connections contacts all right, all right?

  505. You know maybe that or that thing for money, right,

  506. so sharing this in his experience, right, instead of relying

  507. on God for providing the finances, we rely on our

  508. own context, our own ways of finding our solution, right,

  509. instead of praying and relying on God. So, in other words,

  510. prayerless people are those who say not to say that

  511. they don't believe in the power of prayer. They depend

  512. on their own strengths, their own past, their own past,

  513. you know, successes and all to solve what they need

  514. to solve. So we want to make sure that as

  515. church we are prayer powered and nothing else gets us.

  516. And I want us to know that nothing else will

  517. get us to our future except our relationship with the

  518. Lord and us seeking God. Do you know that the

  519. only way to get to where God wants us for

  520. the Church, for your for you as individuals as well,

  521. is to ask God for his health. Amen. And the

  522. result is God will answer that prayer because if I say,

  523. if if it's his will, he will answer the prayer man,

  524. because if it's not his will, we also don't want

  525. God to answer if it's not his will. Okay, okay,

  526. And we know the Bible says when we pray according

  527. to his will, he answers. And this verse is in

  528. your book Onirse John five fourteen. Okay, Now I will

  529. read both in the New King James and the New

  530. Living Transition because I'm coming to a very important point

  531. right now. Now. This is the confidence that we have

  532. in him. Church, does anyone you want to have confidence

  533. when you pray that God hears your prayer. This is

  534. the confidence that we have that if we ask anything

  535. according to His will, he hears us. A New Living Translation,

  536. it says we are confident that He hears us whenever

  537. we ask for anything that pleases him. In other words,

  538. what is according to His will will always be pleasing

  539. to him. So the question, but it would be but

  540. how do I know if what I'm praying for is

  541. according to God's will? So how do we know? Church?

  542. That's where God has given us his word word faithful.

  543. You got to go back to the word of God,

  544. because the word of God, he has placed it above

  545. his name, and they remembered He and they remember they

  546. God answer said, yeah, I'll tell all the roadles that

  547. he remembered. God has placed his word above his name.

  548. He plays his word above his own name. And that

  549. is the word of God that will never change. Amen,

  550. It will stay and remain forever. So we got to

  551. go back to the word of God in order to

  552. know whether that is of God's will or not. Amen. Amen.

  553. And the next question will have to ask when what

  554. I'm asking God, is it pleasing to him? Amen? And

  555. if it's pleasing to God and according to his will,

  556. then pray be confidence church, right because the word of

  557. God says he will answer you. Amen, hallelujah. So but

  558. and on the other side, we also don't want God

  559. to answer if that's not part of his will. Putting

  560. in the context of our church in ex Church, we

  561. don't want to have a great building, big building if

  562. that's not what God' spent for us. If God is

  563. calling ex Church to go out and be scattered and

  564. plant small, we want to obey, and we don't want

  565. to pray for a big building right correct, if if

  566. it's not God's will for us. To be ten thousand

  567. big in one place. Then we also don't want to

  568. pray that prayer all right, We want to pray according

  569. to God's will. Amen. So Church prayer and the will

  570. of God goes hand in hand, and praying people actually

  571. are people who are always in line to the word,

  572. to the will of God because they are praying in

  573. line with the will of God. Amen. See how powerful

  574. that is. Amen, hallelujah, Thanks Jesus. Amen. So now now

  575. as we're talking about prayer and the will of God, again,

  576. I want to bring us back to the Holy Spirit

  577. because again we got to depend on the Holy Spirit.

  578. The Holy Spirit will never be out of the equation. Amen. Amen.

  579. So speaking about prayer and prayer of God, we must

  580. see that it's the Holy Spirit is the only source

  581. of effective prayer. Why because only the Spirit of God

  582. knows the mind of God. Right not. So you want

  583. to know the will of God in order to pray

  584. according to his will, so that your prayer is effective.

  585. You got to ask them the best person. Who's the

  586. best person the Holy Spirit? Why because he's the spirit

  587. of God and he knows the mind of God. Amen.

  588. Any prayer that does not come by the Holy Spirit

  589. is not an effective prayer and it will not accomplish

  590. anything because it is not acceptable of pleasing to God. Amen. Amen.

  591. Now to turn us to Romans chapter eight, verse twenty

  592. six to twenty seven. How here Paul tells the Roman

  593. Church of how the Holy Spirit helps us in our weaknesses,

  594. especially in the area of prayer. Can we look at

  595. it the Romans chapter eight, verse twenty six to twenty seven.

  596. This one is not in your booklet, so you can

  597. write it down, all right? And the Holy Spirit helps

  598. us in our weakness. Already stated is a weakness. Don't

  599. argue with it, don't fight with it. That No, I'm

  600. not weak. I can pray. I know how to pray.

  601. It's stated that we are weakedly Okay. For example, we

  602. don't know what God wants us to pray. But the

  603. Holy Spirit prays for us with grownings that cannot be

  604. expressed in words. And the Father, who knows all hearts,

  605. knows what the Spirit is saying. All right, hallelujah, Thank

  606. you Holy Spirit, for the Spirit pleads for us. Believe

  607. us in how money whose will? God's will? Can you

  608. see that you have? I tell you there's no other

  609. way except with and to the Holy Spirit. Amen. In

  610. order to pray in harmony with God's will, we have

  611. to invoke the help of the Holy Spirit and say

  612. help me, Holy Spirit. So we've got to go back

  613. to spirit field first call value. Amen. Now, Paster kna Gate.

  614. This analogy he mentioned about like the Holy Spirit is

  615. his his JD right, his job description. I think I

  616. say this before. He's higher life. He's been tasked to

  617. help the church. But we church put him in the

  618. corner and ask him to watch Korean drama. Just watch

  619. your Kreen trauma and do your own thing. No, his

  620. job is to help you and I amen, Amen, hallelujah.

  621. So Paul points out here that member are the weakness

  622. that we all have that's in our fallen nature. We

  623. all got one same universal problem weakness. It is the

  624. weakness of understanding of what to pray. So don't worry

  625. if you don't know what to pray. Men, mouns stay thirty.

  626. You don't know what to pray, okay. And even when

  627. we know what to pray, we don't know how to

  628. pray all right. So it's a universal problem stated in

  629. the Word of God. So this is when we need

  630. to ask the Holy Spirit to help. So Paul also

  631. explained one main purpose of the Holy Spirit when God

  632. sent him to us is to guide us in prayer

  633. and to show us to pray, how to pray and

  634. what to pray. All right, And it says here, and

  635. I want to remind us again, the Bible uses the

  636. word the Spirit himself. Say to your neighbor himself. Turn

  637. to the other neighbors, say himself. While we're trying to

  638. achieve here, the Holy Spirit is a he, all right.

  639. He is a person, all right who intercedes for us. Sallelujah.

  640. So the real key to praying effective prayer church, all right,

  641. is to pray to His will. Of course, we know

  642. that because only many prayer are going to His will,

  643. God will answer. But it's to acknowledge again, I'm still

  644. on the point of dependency of God. Is to acknowledge

  645. that we are totally dependent on the Holy Spirit to

  646. guide us and to empower us in our prayer. Immen

  647. to be able to pray in line with the will

  648. of God and hence to see our prayer come to past. Hallelujah, Amen.

  649. So Church, So is it just about the words that

  650. we pray? No, it's not how many words or how

  651. long we pray. But it is the power that works

  652. through the words, all right, it is the power that

  653. work through those words. We have to learn how to.

  654. So the key here is to learn how to yield

  655. to the Holy Spirit and let him guide us and

  656. empower us in our prayer. So I'm just going to

  657. give us a few tips here of how we can

  658. do that, just some practical ones. One of the ways

  659. is to pray according to God's words, going back again

  660. to God the word fitful, immen, praying according to God's

  661. word because his word is above his name. And we

  662. can never pray a more powerful prayer than when the

  663. Holy Spirit gives us a release and the claim of

  664. the Word that particular situation. Right, So in that situation

  665. he brings out the Word of God and we can

  666. pray it that is powerful, that is like the rarema word,

  667. the word becoming life. So pray the word of God, immen,

  668. and the Holy Spirit will prompt us and the Holy

  669. Spirit will help us to release and to claim the

  670. Word of God in that particular experience or situation. And

  671. sometimes we don't know what to pray, we just have

  672. to in sort of like almost like saying literally, you

  673. just open the mouth and you let him pray to you.

  674. And it can be something that maybe you have never

  675. really taught about about yourself, or can be any other situation.

  676. But whatever, the prayer that the Holy Spirit has given

  677. to you. And sometimes God reveals the will of God

  678. even to allowing him to pray way true you and

  679. finally braying in the spirit or in the unknown tongue

  680. the gift of tongues that He has given to us. Amen.

  681. So these are different ways that we yield to the

  682. Holy Spirit and we ask the Lord to help us. Hallelujah.

  683. Are we good? Amen? All right? I think I'm at

  684. the last point. Correct, Okay, rewa, you help me because

  685. I yes, there's a D. There's a D in my slide.

  686. So ABC was the A for what it means to

  687. be prayer powered. Prayer is a lifestyle, not an event.

  688. Prayer that powers us forward. Amen. Prayer reveals our dependency

  689. on God and especially our dependency with the Holy Spirit.

  690. And finally, prayer that is submitted to the will of God. Again,

  691. I say again, prayer and the Word of and the

  692. will of God will always come hand in hand. Correct. Amen,

  693. For our prayers to be effective, it has to be

  694. aligned to the will of God. And the best to

  695. learn this is to see how Jesus prayed, because I

  696. believe Jesus he not only taught us the Lord's prayer,

  697. he modeled it out what it means to pray. Okay,

  698. So I want us quickly before we draw to a close,

  699. to go to Metthio chapter twenty six, how Jesus prayed

  700. in the Garden of Gatsimony. And I think some of

  701. us are familiar. Let's look at it one more time together,

  702. Mattil twenty six, verse thirty nine. We'll skip a few

  703. verses and go again to forty two. So verse thirty nine,

  704. it says he as in Jesus went on a little further,

  705. and this is after the Lord's supper he had. He

  706. broke bread and wine, communion with his disciples, the last

  707. final subberty, right, and then he's going to pray. He said,

  708. I need to pray, and his disciples are all there.

  709. He asked them to keep watch, but they all fell asleep. Okay,

  710. So he went a little further. Verse thirty nine. He

  711. bowed with his face to the ground, and what was

  712. he praying? Church? My father if it is possible, let

  713. this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet,

  714. I want your will to be done, not mine, beautiful

  715. powerful amen, Verse forty two. Again, then he went back

  716. to your disciples. I like ha like that, so you

  717. cannot keep watch, U cannot stay awake. Okay. Then you

  718. ask them to watch and pray. And then he went

  719. to pray again verse forty two. Then Jesus left them

  720. a second time and pray, my Father, if this cup

  721. cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will

  722. be done. Can you see her? Jesus modeled the prayer

  723. out for us. We can see. This is what we

  724. call submission, not my will, because submission means this. No,

  725. if you ask me my preference, Jesus is saying to

  726. God the Father, if you ask me, I'd rather don't

  727. go to the cross. My preference my one. If you

  728. ask me, I'd rather not. Have you ever said that

  729. all of us, right, God or your parents as to

  730. do something? Oh, this is not my but you submit.

  731. It's the same concept. But he said, but if you

  732. want me to do this, I will do it. Your

  733. will be done. Imen. So that is what it means.

  734. So submission meaning renouncing our own will. Okay, yes, this

  735. is my preference, this is what I personally want, but

  736. I'm going to put it aside, renounce it, and I'm

  737. going to embrace God's will for me. Imen Okay, that

  738. is submission. So Jesus gave us this pattern. So not

  739. only he taught us how to pray in Medal chapter

  740. six and I'll go to metatoterisics now, but he modeled

  741. it out what it means to pray according to God's will.

  742. Can you see that no other better teacher than Jesus himself. Amen? Amen.

  743. So when Jesus taught us how to pray, go back

  744. to Matthew chapter six. And then when I tie back

  745. also to the value of kingdom minded the third value. Right,

  746. what Jesus taught us to pray your kingdom come, your

  747. will be done, hallelujah, Meaning he's expecting us to pray

  748. every day, Lord, your kingdom, come your will. But that

  749. is what it means. No, and he modeled it out

  750. for us. I don't want to go to the cross,

  751. but not my will be done. Your will be done? Amen? Amen? Amen.

  752. So when we come to God, we have to say

  753. your will be done in other words, Now, if what

  754. you want and what God wants happened to be the same,

  755. praise the Lord party all right, Okay, But you know

  756. in life it doesn't always happen that way, right, Okay,

  757. it is not in a cord. So if our will

  758. and God's will is not in a chord, then we

  759. are When we say we submit to God's will, means

  760. we're essentially saying I renounce my will in order that

  761. your will be done. So Church, have we been praying

  762. like that? But that's the actual way that God has

  763. taught us how to pray. Amen, if we have not

  764. been my prayer for myself also because this has spoken

  765. to me and ministered to me as well, and I

  766. pray for all of us today that this would be

  767. something that we want to start today. Amen. It's okay,

  768. don't look bad at the past anymore. We press forward. Amen,

  769. Amen to the upward call of God upon our lives. Amen.

  770. Are we ready now to pray the prayer this way

  771. that God, whatever I'm praying for, I want it to

  772. be aligned to your will. All right. If it's your will, great,

  773. If it's not, I'm willing to submit to your will. Harleylujah,

  774. Now another aspect to think about this is this sign.

  775. When we pray, we also need to ask ourselves, am

  776. I praying for this particular thing because I want it

  777. or because God wants it? Now? Because we know if

  778. it's what God wants for us according to his will,

  779. we will receive it. Imen And it makes a lot

  780. of difference, all right, if it's whether or not we

  781. believe that it's just what we want or that's what

  782. God wants for us as well. For example, we are

  783. praying for healing, all right, and in our lives at

  784. one point another we need healing and we pray. But

  785. when you pray, you ask yourself this, Do you think

  786. that you are praying this because you want to be healed?

  787. Or do you really believe that God wants you heal?

  788. Because if you believe that that's God's will for you,

  789. will you be healed? Of course you be healed. So

  790. when we pray, we got to understand that whether or

  791. not this is God's will for us. Amen. For example,

  792. financial provision, do you believe that is just what you

  793. want or what God wants for you? If you know

  794. that is what God wants for you, pray it. Believe

  795. it that way that this is what God wants for you. Amen,

  796. A man, hallelujah. So I'm joining to a close right

  797. now now when we think about again renouncing our own

  798. will and embracing the will of God. There are always

  799. things to remember, but I want to just put it

  800. in three points here for us to remember and to

  801. bear in mind every time when we are praying. First

  802. of all, God loves you more than you love yourself.

  803. Do you believe that? I know, it's like, oh so simple.

  804. Every new believer should know this, right, But sometimes along

  805. the way we forget right? Do you believe that God

  806. loves you more than you love yourself? So when you pray,

  807. you come with this perspective God, because you're so worried

  808. about everything. But do you know that God loves you

  809. more than you love yourself? Amen? Secondly, God understands you better.

  810. God knows you better than you know yourself. Even what

  811. you cannot articulate, you cannot make clear in your brain,

  812. God can because God sees to you. Amen. Amen. And finally,

  813. God wants only the best for you. Do we believe that? All? Right?

  814. Do we believe that? Now? It's a lot of difference

  815. when we pray believing all tree, God, you know me

  816. and you want the best for me. And different when

  817. you just pray and just pray and you do not

  818. your praying, Amen, praying believing that God wants the best

  819. for each and every one of us. Amen. Amen. So remember,

  820. prayer is not a way. And I like this to

  821. put into a conclusion and the worship team can come.

  822. Prayer is not a way for us to get God

  823. to do what we want. We agree, Although at that

  824. moment you're praying to God to help you live. It's

  825. okay God, I'm in this type of situation. I mean,

  826. it's meeting all and I'm triggered. God help me. It's okay.

  827. God wants to help us. Amen. But it's more than

  828. just God do what I want. But prayer is a

  829. way of us becoming an instrument for God to do

  830. what he wants. Amen. And maybe that day he wants

  831. you to be a blessing to someone even in the meeting.

  832. You know what I mean, be on and above what

  833. you can even ask or even imagine. Halleylujah. So as

  834. I end, I go, I bring us all back to

  835. Ephesions three twenty again. And it's on the screen. What

  836. does it say all glory to God who is able.

  837. So don't worry if you're not able. It is God

  838. who is able, imen able to do through his mighty power,

  839. the power of the Holy Spirit working within us Amen,

  840. to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or thing Amen.

  841. So every time we pray, remember remember we go home

  842. and memorize this verse, Imen and pray and remember that

  843. God is able. With the Holy Spirit working in our hearts,

  844. he will accomplish even more than we asked or thing Amen.

  845. So God's ability to answer our prayer goes exceeding abundantee.

  846. And how it can go exceedingly abundantly It goes back

  847. to the same tree points. I come back to us

  848. again because God wants to do far greater, far higher,

  849. far better things than what even if we can think.

  850. Don't limit God, Amen, Church, don't limit God with just

  851. our own prayer and thinking that this is what God

  852. you want for me. God wants way better and more. Amen. Hallelujah.

  853. We hope you've been blessed by this message.
