Sermon on Angels on August 26, 2026

All right, praise the Lord.

How many is glad to be in the house of the Lord?

Amen.

Hallelujah.

Father, we thank you tonight for your blessings.

We thank you for your word.

We thank you for your anointing.

We thank you for the Spirit of God that we already feel in this place.

And we thank you, Lord, tonight, that you would give me the exact words that I need to say tonight.

Let it not be my words, but let it be your words and give us ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is speaking to us tonight.

And Lord, I thank you again as we leave this place.

We will leave here changed.

We will leave here different than when we came in because of your power, because of your word, and because of the Spirit of God is changing us and rearranging us and making us more like you.

And everybody shout, Amen, Amen, Amen.

Praise God.

Alright.

So let's talk about on the subject tonight of angels.

And I'm going to get through this because I need to give you an illustration tonight, and it's going to take a few minutes.

So I want to get through this.

I'm not trying to rush too quick, but I am getting trying to get through this.

So Hebrews chapter 1.

Hebrews 1 · chapter mention

Hebrews chapter 1, verse 1 through 5.

Hebrews 1:1–5

It says, God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time passing to the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken to us by his son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.

Verse 3, who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, he sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high, being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

He's talking about Jesus.

For unto which of the angels say he, at any time, Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee.

And again I will be to him a father, and he should be to me a son.

Verse 6.

And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten of the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

And of the angels he said, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire?

But unto the Son, he saith, Thy throne of God is forever and ever a scepter of righteousness in the scepter of thy kingdom.

So, right here, let me just explain a couple of things before we move on.

God said this to Jesus, and he's making a difference in this scripture between Jesus and angels, alright?

He never asked the angels to sit down at the right hand of his throne.

No, he only asked Jesus to sit down at the right hand of this throne, right?

So angels are lower than God, and angels are lower than Jesus, alright?

So he's trying to make this differentiate uh differentiate between the two here.

And so listen to this also.

The world is not ruled by angels.

Though what now we have angels in here, and we're gonna talk about them, but the world is not ruled by angels, okay?

So after researching a little bit, I'm gonna give you a couple of things.

All of us have a guardian angel.

All of us, all of us have a guardian angel.

But after researching a little bit, and you can look in the book of Revelation, um, and it talks about angels, and there, and don't quote me on this as far as exact number, but there's somewhere around, somewhere around, everybody say somewhere around, there's somewhere around a trillion different angels.

A trillion.

Now, I don't know about you, but that inspires me.

Amen.

Because there's a lot of angels around.

Now, watch this.

The devil was an anointed cherub when he was in heaven.

Actually, his name was Lucifer, and when he was a praise and worship leader.

But the moment that he exalted himself above God, God struck him down like nightman.

Watch this.

And even the devil himself was able to persuade one-third of the angels to go uh to uh come against God and exalt themselves above God as well.

So therefore, not only did Satan get uh uh uh cast down into heaven, one third of the angels got cast down out of the heaven.

And somebody say, Wow, that's bad.

Yeah, it's bad.

Just imagine if the devil uh uh tricked one-third of the angels in heaven.

Like in heaven.

He tricked one-third of the angels.

No wonder he tricks people now.

Hallelujah.

Amen.

No wonder he's a deceiver now.

But watch this.

Even though only one-third of the angels came, uh were struck down with the devil uh here in earth.

Guess what?

There's still two-thirds of the angels that are for us.

Hallelujah.

So there's still more for us than they are against us, amen.

And plus we got God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost, we got the blood, we got the word, we got the name of Jesus, we got way more for us than they are against us, amen.

So let me talk about this.

Let me talk about this.

Alright?

So, Hebrews 1, 13 and 14, he says this, but to which of the angels said he at any time, sit on my right hand.

And I already read this, so uh I already talked about this.

Let me skip on.

Hebrews chapter 2.

Hebrews chapter 2, the very next chapter.

Hebrews 2 · chapter mention

Now I'll need you to, I need you to listen to this, alright?

So even uh years ago, these were letters, okay?

This is the the book Hebrews was actually a letter.

It was not broken down to chapters and verses, alright?

It didn't get broken down to chapters and verses till they wrote the Bible, alright?

So I need you to understand in Hebrews chapter 2, verse 1 through 3, he does not change the subject from Hebrews chapter 1.

He's still comparing Jesus and the angels.

He's still talking about the angels, alright?

Everybody with me.

And so a lot of people think the end of the chapter means he's changing the subject at the next chapter.

That's not so.

He might, he might, you know, these letters, but they're the letters are written.

Okay?

So that's why a lot of times, in order to understand the context of a letter, like Hebrews is a letter, you have to read the whole book of Hebrews and put it in perspective of what all he's talking about.

Is that all right?

Amen?

And so that's for you to do on your own study time.

Praise God.

We're not gonna read the whole book tonight.

Amen.

And so Hebrews chapter 2 and verse 1, watch what he said.

Hebrews 2 · chapter mention

Therefore, we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward, verse 3, how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by them that heard him.

Now, I want to give you a couple of things right here.

The subject matter did not change from chapter 1.

We already said that.

And so he's still talking about angels.

Now, he says here that angels are ministering spirits sent forth in the earth to minister to, this is what he said, to heirs of salvation.

Heirs of salvation.

Who are heirs of salvation?

That's me, that's you.

If you're saved, you're an heir of salvation.

How many can say amen to that, all right?

And so watch this.

But angels are probably the most neglected ministry in the earth today.

Now understand this.

Listen, these angels were sent by God to help us.

I've not preached on angels till this year.

I've not preached on them for 12 years.

We were senior pastoring in Georgia, um, and I that was the last time I preached on angels.

And I felt inspired by the Lord this year to preach on this again because not a lot of people preach on it.

But here's my job or my assignment from the Lord is to get you to understand there's a ministry of angels, and they want to minister to heirs of salvation, which is to you and to me.

Now we got to understand how they want to minister, and now we got to understand uh uh how what we need to do to get them to minister, all right?

So let's get that let's let's look at this.

So the word salvation here actually means preservation, healing, provision, and deliverance from temporal evils.

So let's talk about that.

He said that he sent them here to be a uh uh to be um uh ministers to heirs of salvation.

Watch this.

Angels are ministering to every one of us, if we allow them to, watch this, to every one of us, salvation.

A lot of people think this word salvation here means just getting saved.

But you have to look up this word salvation.

It has many meanings.

And in this scripture, it means that the angels want to bring per preservation to us, they want to bring healing to us, they want to bring provision to us, and they want to bring deliverance from temporal evils to us.

Well, praise the Lord.

I don't know about you, but I want angels to work for me.

Amen.

So watch this.

It's not referring to be born again, but it's referring to deliverance that comes through the ministry of angels.

But notice what he said.

He said, don't neglect this ministry.

And then here's the other thing he said: don't let it slip.

What is he trying to say?

Don't forget about the ministry of angels.

Don't forget that angels are sent to hear to help you.

And don't forget that you've got another person besides the Holy Ghost, right?

So God's done all he's gonna do.

Jesus has already done all he's gonna do.

That's why he said, it's expedient that I go away.

If I don't go away, then the third person of the Trinity cannot come.

And so now the third person of the Trinity, like we talked about last night, don't just come upon us, but he lives inside of us.

It's called the Holy Ghost, right?

So we got the Holy Ghost help, but we also have angels that are willing to help if we allow them to help us.

Now, let me say this before we go any further.

If you don't believe in angels and you don't believe they're sent here to work for you, then they will not work for you.

Praise the Lord.

It is very simple.

If you don't take this serious and you don't want to uh uh you know allow angels to work for you and to help you in this life, then praise the Lord.

They won't.

But I can tell you right now, your angels are sitting at the table or sitting in a chair or wherever they're sitting, and if you don't give them an assignment, this is what they're doing all your life.

They're just twiddling their thumbs.

Because they have no assignment unless you give them assignment.

And we're gonna talk about that in just a second, alright?

So let me give him the example.

Let me give him the example because I really want you to understand this, all right?

Pastor, can you help me again tonight?

Praise the Lord.

You're so good to help me last night.

I'm just using and abusing.

No, I'm just kidding.

Amen.

So watch, watch.

So if if he is sitting at a table, alright, at a restaurant, and I am the waiter, alright?

Everybody been to a restaurant?

We have a waiter and a waitress, right?

So I come up and I ask him, what would you like to eat?

And he begins to tell me, and I begin to take it down.

Or some very smart people remember all the orders.

But then they go back and then they either do two, one of two things.

They enter it in a computer and it sends it to the cook, or the old-fashioned way that I seen, they have this little turn dial, and they put it on the turn dial and turn around so the cook can see what you ordered, right?

Everybody with me?

So watch this.

Did this waitress or waiter cook the meal for you?

No.

No.

What did they do?

They were a messenger of what you wanted to the cook.

And when that cook fixes your order and is done with your order, they, you know, I don't know now.

They used to ring a bell.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.

And so you go back there and you see the order.

Now the waitress gets the order and uh now then brings your food back to you.

Now watch this.

So therefore, this waiter or waitress didn't cook it for you, didn't make it for you, but guess what they were?

They were just a messenger.

They took your order, took it to the cook, which is God, and then God has the answers.

God's already provided.

God has everything we need, and now the angel has that, and now the angel brings it back to us and gives it to us.

Does that make sense?

So I know that's a physical example, but it's the same way that happens spiritually.

Does that make sense?

And so I want you to understand, that's what angels are doing.

They're ministering.

Thank you, Pastor.

They're ministering angels that are what?

Two things, two things.

Here's two things about angels.

I'll give these to you right now.

They minister to you, and then they also minister for you.

Did you go to the kitchen and tell the cook what you wanted?

No, guess what they did?

They went to the cook, right?

The waiter, waitress went to the cook, told him what you wanted.

And then the cook got it, and then the waiter, the waitress, brought it to you.

Everybody with me so far.

Amen?

I said, Everybody with me so far.

Amen?

All right, so let's go on.

All right, Luke chapter 12.

I want you to see this.

Now, I've never seen this before.

That doesn't mean anything.

There's a lot of things I've never seen before in the Bible.

But I've never seen this before.

And uh and maybe you have, praise the Lord if you have.

But I want you to see this.

Luke chapter 12, verse 1 through 9.

Luke 12:1–9

Now, I don't know if I'll read all of it.

Let's start off in verse 1.

In the meantime, where there were gathered together in numero innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trod one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples, first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

For there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, neither hid that shall not be known.

Alright?

And then watch this.

Uh let's skip down to verse 6.

Let's skip down to verse 6.

He said, Are not the five sparrows sold for two fatherings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

Verse 7.

But in the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Fear not, therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.

Now, I want you to see verse 8.

I've never seen this before.

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of Man also confess before the angels of God.

Now watch this.

Before the angels of God.

Watch this.

I thought Jesus reported every single thing back to God.

But this right here says he's reporting it back to the angels of God.

So what does that mean?

What does that mean?

If I'm ministering, if I'm witnessing to this brother, and I tell him, hey, I just want to let you know, Jesus loves you.

Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and he'd love to come into your heart and save you and forgive you of all your sins and be the Lord of your life.

At that moment, I basically just quoted John 3.16 and Romans.

Several scriptures in Romans.

It's called the Roman road.

That's what we used to call it, about basic salvation.

Alright?

And so I basically quoted those two scriptures about how he loves you and how he's going to save you.

Believe your heart, confess your mouth, the Lord Jesus, then only thou shalt be saved.

So the moment that I do that, watch this.

Jesus hears that I'm witnessing for him.

Watch.

Then he turns to the angels and said, Angels, Jody's ministering to that guy.

He just quoted our scripture.

He just quoted about me.

He just quoted about my love, about my saving power.

Now, angels go and minister to that man.

So watch this.

Just like I ran into the people the other day, that uh the the man at the gas station I ran into Sunday.

If you wasn't here, you don't know my story, but it's all right.

Uh uh, he asked me how was church.

And I said, Well, I'm headed to church, but it's gonna be good.

And then he started telling me why he ain't been in church because he's working, and I looked right at him and told him, Jesus loves you.

And is at the gas station right down there.

I was getting I was getting coffee.

And I invited him to revival anyway.

We had a conversation before I ever got to church.

But watch this.

I've never seen that man since, and I don't know if I ever see him.

But guess what?

I ministered the word of God to him, so now guess who goes and keeps ministering to him?

Angels.

I said, angels and also the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit does too.

But angels, so when we minister the word of God, Jesus turns around and tells the angels, go minister to them.

He just ministered my word and keep it uh stirred up in them, keep it in their mind, keep it in their heart, right?

How many know the scripture said uh uh uh that uh train up a child up in the way he should go, he should never depart.

How many know that?

What is that?

It means that the seed of the word of God was sown in their heart.

Does it mean that they won't stray?

No, that's not what it said.

Said it will never depart.

What does that mean?

That seed can never depart from them, which is the word of God that's in them.

And guess who reminds them of that seed?

It's angels, it's the Holy Ghost.

Why?

Because you put it in there.

And Jesus saw it, Jesus heard it, and now he sends angels to minister to them.

Hallelujah.

So watch this.

When you minister to somebody, no matter where they're at, you can't be with them 24-7.

But angels are going to minister to them after you leave.

Hallelujah.

Because Jesus is gonna take care of his business because you're trying to take care of his business.

Amen.

Well, praise the Lord.

Hallelujah.

So watch this.

So he put angels to work when we do that, but now we got to look at the next verse.

Look at the next verse.

But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

So what's happening here?

If you deny God to somebody, and you don't talk about Jesus to somebody, then Jesus is denying you to the angels of God.

Basically, what he this is what he's saying.

This is what he's saying.

He's not actually as far as denying you, or you can't come back to him.

That's not what he's saying.

What he's saying is ultimately Jesus is saying to the angels, angels, he didn't talk about us.

He didn't tell them that I love them, he didn't speak the word to them, so you just have to stay right here.

Because angels, I'm getting a little ahead of myself, angels can only hearken to the voice of his word.

I'll show you the scripture in just a minute.

So angels can't move.

Listen, angels are listening to what you say, but so is Jesus.

And when you speak in line with the word, then that gives a job for the angels.

But when you come over here and speak contrary to the word, that keeps your angels from doing a job.

Does that make sense?

They're just sitting there and they're getting really bored because they have no assignment.

Because you've not spoken the word.

Praise the Lord.

I said, praise the Lord.

Amen.

All right.

I know y'all just uh uh thinking about this, alright?

So watch this.

You can frustrate your angel.

Anybody ever been frustrated?

Nobody in here.

That's people in Georgia, right?

Amen.

So you can frustrate your angel.

How do you frustrate angels?

By speaking contrary to the word.

What would be contrary to the word?

Let me just help you.

Let me just help you.

At one minute, the Lord touches you and heals you.

You say, Praise God, I'm the healed of the Lord.

And then the next day, the devil tries to bring sickness back on you, and you say, Oh no, I guess I didn't get healed.

I hurt all over.

I'm in pain.

I'm in misery.

I don't know what I'm gonna do.

So guess what?

You just spoke contrary to the word of God.

So your contrary spee just canceled out what God did over here.

But why?

Because we have the fruit of our lips.

We we receive according to how we talk, but we also push away according to how we talk.

All right.

So let me help you.

I've got to hurry.

So he said here, he said, according to the word of God, angels are listening to what you say.

Your words determine to a great extent what the angels can do in your life.

Angels do not have a physical body.

They cannot uh uh you know, they cannot do what we do.

They don't have a physical body.

We have legal authority upon uh ministering spirits to work in our behalf.

But watch this they must have cooperation.

Two ways.

Two ways how to put your angels to work.

For you.

Two ways.

Everybody shout prayer.

Everybody say prayer.

That's number one, how to put your angels to work.

Number two, your angels are put to work by speaking God's word.

I just explained that.

Speaking God's word is how you put your angels to work.

The angels are listening to your words.

Now, he's saying here in uh chat uh Hebrews 2, 3, we already read it.

How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?

And so what they're saying is, angels have been sent to minister to us.

They've been sent to minister to us, and they have been sent to minister for us on our behalf.

So we cannot let our angels stand idle.

We must put them to work.

Somebody shout amen.

And so uh uh let me turn over here to uh Psalms.

The word of God will only work, and angels will only hearken when you get the word down in your spirit and you give voice uh to it.

Amen.

He's talking about angels that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Everybody say, hearkening to the voice of his word.

Now, watch this.

Let me ask you this question.

Now, this is not a trick question, and I pray you do not answer it the wrong way.

Have you ever done this and heard the Bible speak to you?

It's not a trick question.

So, what is he saying?

Hearkening to the voice of his word.

His word cannot speak on its own.

The Bible does not say, Good morning, Jodie.

No, I'm out of here if it does.

Praise the Lord.

Amen.

So, what does what gives the voice of his word?

Your voice.

Your voice.

So let me read this again.

And so if your voice gives voice to the word of God, bless the Lord ye his angels, Psalms 103, 20, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Angels are waiting on you to speak the word of God to give them an assignment to do.

So when you rise up in your morning and you say, This is the day, come on, somebody, I'm reading the word.

This is the day that the Lord has made.

I choose to rejoice and I choose to be glad in it.

The moment that I start saying that, all of a sudden the Holy Ghost comes in health, and then all of a sudden, angels are coming because Jesus heard his word.

And he said, Angels go, angels go, angels go.

Why?

Because they hearken, right?

It's kind of like you calling your dog.

Your dog goes outside.

It's supposed to be inside, right?

No lie, no lie.

My wife's dog, okay, it's a miniature schnauzer.

That thing ain't about that long.

All right?

Miniature schnauzer.

And that dog loves her, but every time I'm home, when I'm sitting in my recliner, that dog is in my chair.

And so my wife looks at me, and I throw up my hands, and she said, You traitor.

That's what she says to the dog.

Not to me, to my dog.

Her dog, not my dog.

She said, You traitor, like that.

Watch this.

And I'll take the dog outside, and the dog listens to me.

So the dog will try to go up the street, and I said, Charlie, that's the name.

Sorry, if that's your name, apologize.

I mean, I didn't name him, but my wife did.

So and so I say, Charlie.

My dog will look right down.

I said, get back here.

And then come back.

Right?

Watch this.

I'm on the phone the other day.

My wife said, Where is that dog at?

And so I said, I don't know.

I said, She don't listen to you.

Watch this.

And so she had to go four houses up to find that dog.

And she said, Charlie, Charlie, I mean, I'm on the phone.

I said, honey, you're gonna have to go find the dog.

I'll let you go.

Praise the Lord.

Amen.

Why?

Because that dog ain't hearkening to her voice.

But that dog hearkens to my voice.

Amen.

And so understand this.

When you speak the word of God, angels are hearkening to your voice.

Amen.

They're coming and they're trying to help you when you hearken to the voice of the word of God.

So listen, I mean, they hearken to the voice of God.

But watch, you've got to give voice to the word of God.

You've got to speak the word of God.

Listen, this is not speaking the word of God.

Everybody say, I read it.

Yeah, I know you read it.

Do you believe it?

Yeah, I believe it.

But you ain't spoken it.

This is the only book that if you actually believe it and you actually speak it, that it will actually come to pass.

It's the only book ever in the world.

Amen.

That actually does what it says.

And it'll actually come to life.

And it'll actually perform exactly what he said it'll perform in your life.

Hallelujah.

The angels are waiting for you to say the word of God and it will loose them.

Now let me tell you how to pray.

Can I tell you how to pray?

Can I tell you teach you real quick four things how to pray?

Number one, you gotta speak the word first.

If you need healing, find the word on healing.

Find the scriptures on healing.

Speak them out of your mouth.

Don't write, I mean, you write them down.

You can look at them and you can meditate on it, but you gotta speak it out of your mouth.

Speak the word, number one.

Everybody say speak the word.

Number two, rebuke the devil.

If it's sickness and disease, then you rebuke the devil and the spirit of infirmity that he's trying to put on you.

So you speak the word, number one, you rebuke the devil, and rebuke that spirit of infirmity and command the devil to loose his hold off of you in the name of Jesus.

And then number three, what's this?

Number three, then now you say, angels, in Jesus' name.

I thank you, angels, that you're coming and you're bringing healing to my body.

Why?

Because they're sent to minister to you and they're ministering for you.

What are they going to minister?

Number one, whatever you spoke according to the word.

If you said that according to healing, if you said Isaiah chapter 53, 1 Peter 2, 24, he was wounded by our transgressions, he was bruised by our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his stripes I am the healed of the Lord.

Now you say, I rebuke you, Satan.

I command every spirit of infirmity, every pain, every sickness, every disease to loose me and let me go.

Now angels go.

Angels go.

Angels go and get healing and cause it to manifest in my body.

And number four, I'm done.

I'll see y'all next year.

Amen.

Watch this.

Number four, guess what you gotta do?

Number four, begin to throw up your hands and praise God.

Father, I thank you that healing is coming my way.

I thank you that healing is coming my way.

Angels are sending you forth in Jesus' name.

Go get my healing.

That by his stripes I'm the healed of the Lord.

And go back one, two, three, four.

Go back one, two, three, four.

Amen.

Praise the Lord.

But watch this.

If it worked for healing, same thing will work for provision.

Same thing will work for peace.

Same thing will work for joy.

Same thing will work for direction.

Same thing will work for wisdom.

Same thing will work for every single topic in the Bible.

Amen.

Every single thing you deal with.

Four things right there.

Four steps.

It will work for you every single time.

And so somebody might say, Well, I tried it and didn't work.

Listen, this ain't something you go to JC Penny and Dillard's and try on, and if you don't like it, you take off.

That's not the way this works.

This is something that you've got to believe deep down in your heart that nobody is going to change your mind or your life or your stance about the word of God.

And you got to believe it so much that you know without a shadow of a doubt.

And if I get this down on the inside of me and I speak the word and I begin to rebuke the devil, the devil has no power over me because Jesus defeated the devil over 2,000 years ago when he rose from the dead.

Hallelujah.

He's got the keys of death, hell, and the grave.

And he has no more victory.

But we have the victory, and it's through Christ Jesus.

Amen.

Hallelujah.

I say hallelujah.

Praise God.

And so I'm telling you right now, you got to believe it, and then you got to start to speak it.

Amen.

And when you start speaking it, you rebuke the devil, you speak the word, rebuke the devil, and then you loose angels.

Angels go.

Angels go and minister right now.

Listen, you can pray for your lost loved ones.

Listen, I'm standing right here today because my mother-in-law and father-in-law, 20 years ago, I mentioned it the other night, but I was in Armenia, Columbia, and I was working at a Bible school during the day, and I was preaching in churches at night, and I was in Armenia, Columbia, and my mother-in-law and father-in-law on Wednesday, the Holy Ghost told them to pray for me and to pray in the spirit for me and to speak the word over me that I was in trouble.

I wasn't in trouble Wednesday.

I worked at the Bible college, I preached Wednesday night, and uh we had all kinds of salvation, healings, all that in Armenia, Columbia.

And so uh Wednesday night I got back to the hotel, I called my wife.

My wife was pregnant with our second child.

My wife was crying on the phone.

I said, What's wrong?

She said, Daddy and mama said, You're in trouble.

I said, I ain't in trouble.

We're back at the hotel.

Everybody's safe.

We got guards at the hotel.

There's nobody coming in here, there's nobody gonna mess with us.

We're safe, we're fine.

And so Thursday morning I go to the job site and uh we go up on the uh the roof.

Just a long story short, I ain't gonna explain it all.

But anyway, we go up on the roof, and I didn't I was trying to take a picture.

It was up on a hill, and they said this Bible school would be a light to the world, and that's why they built it on the hill.

But anyway, the roof uh behind me was a little bit taller, so I was taking pictures this way, and all I was gonna do is sling my leg up and lift up and take pictures that way, because the roof was taller than me.

And when I did that, slung my leg and leaned my weight on that.

I didn't know that they had painted a black because they build stuff different, but they had a uh skylight and they had painted it black.

And so I fell through the skylight, three-story building, and I landed on the concrete steps with my heels.

The last few stairs, I landed on the concrete steps and I tumbled.

And so I went unconscious, I didn't know anything, and then uh there was about 25 or 30 people with us on the mission trip, and so they began to pray.

And so I remember uh just hearing praying, and I was like, I don't remember going to a church service, like, where am I at?

And I remember this leg, uh, this leg right here was behind me.

I was laying this away, and this leg right here was behind me, and I was laying like this right here.

I mean, I didn't know all this until I come to, but but I was laying right here and I heard praying.

I said, I gotta open my eyes.

I opened my eyes, they started shouting, he's alive, he's alive, and I was like, My leg is hurting, and so I kicked my leg out like that right there, went to pick up my elbow.

I couldn't pick up my elbow, so I grabbed my elbow, picked it up.

Long story short, all that ever happened to me, I had a dislocated elbow, fractured vertebrae, and a few stitches in the back of my head.

My wife said it knocked some sense into me.

Praise the Lord, hallelujah, amen.

What am I trying to say?

But the Holy Ghost reminded me of this story.

This happened 20 years ago this past February.

And the Holy Ghost, when I began to preach on angels, he reminded me of this because my father-in-law went to prayer.

Come on, somebody.

And they went to speaking the word of God, they went into commanding the word of God to go right now and to whatever trouble Jody's in, in the name of Jesus.

They command the Holy Ghost, they commanded angels to go, and angels of protection to be around about me.

And you might say, Well, you still fail.

Well, yeah, I fail.

But I don't know if they I didn't see no angel, but I believe an angel helped me land and I didn't die.

And so now I'm preaching revival 20 years later, and I have nothing wrong with me.

Hallelujah! I said, Hallelujah.

I didn't have to have surgery, they wanted to do surgery over there.

They flew me back, and I was telling the American doctors all that they wanted to do, and they said, uh, well, we'll call you back in the morning and you tell us what you want to do.

And so that uh that that night I began to pray, and then because they had told me, they said, if we move you to the left or to the right, you could be paralyzed the rest of your life.

That's what the doctors were telling me in Armenia, Columbia.

So I couldn't even get up to use the restroom or nothing.

And so the next morning, American doctors called me, and my my aunt and uncle, they work for a uh a plane company uh that actually fly for the CDC.

And so they called me and they said, What do you want to do?

I said, I want to come home.

And they sent one of their lear jets to me.

I was like, Praise God, I'm gonna fly in a learjet, amen.

And so I remember being pushed on that learjet, and I told him, I said, I always wanted to fly on a lear jet.

And he said, You ain't gonna remember it.

He pushed out in my IV, and I was out, amen.

And so my dad was here.

This thing's tiny, boy.

I'm laying here, here's the wall.

My dad's right here, and the nurse is right there, and two pilots up there.

That's all there was room.

They wouldn't even let me take my luggage.

There wasn't no room on that plane, amen.

And so we were getting it coming back, lear jet, amen.

Praise God.

And so, have you ever flown a little jet?

Yes, I have.

Do I remember it?

No, I do not.

Amen.

So praise the Lord.

But what happened?

What happened?

What happened?

My mother-in-law and father-in-law began to speak the word.

And the Holy Ghost reminded me, you're here today because of my angels.

Because they sent the word.

I said they sent the word.

And because they spoke the word, those angels from Oklahoma or Arkansas, wherever they were preaching when they prayed for me, those angels went all the way across the sea and came all the way over there to Armenia, Columbia, where I was at.

Before I ever fell, they was in the Bible college.

And before I ever went down as I went down, I believe those angels were there protecting me.

Hallelujah.

And so I'm here to tell you the word works, hallelujah.

It works.

I'm standing a miracle before your eyes right now.

Amen.

I said, Amen.

So I wanted to do a little assignment for the next few minutes if I can.

I know you're bored of sitting, so stand up on your feet.

Praise the Lord.

So I got this little book back on my table, and it's God's creative power.

Now, this is just one of them.

We usually carry God's creative power, God has created power for healing, and God's created power for finances.

And I'm just telling you right now, you need to get this little book.

Well, praise the Lord.

Now you can agree and start saying it over you, but I don't have time for you to repeat after me, alright?

So I just want to encourage you with the word.

If y'all go get a prescription, it says RX on there.

So this is God's RX.

Alright?

And he says, no harmful side effects.

Your wife ain't gonna have none, and the word of God don't have none.

Praise the Lord.

So I am the body of Christ.

Watch this.

To defeat worry and fear, confess these three times a day.

Now I'm only gonna say a few of all these.

I am the body of Christ, and Satan has no power over me, for I overcome evil with good.

I am of God and have overcome him, Satan, for greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.

I will fear no evil, for you are with me, Lord.

Your word and your spirit, they comfort me.

Now, let's turn over.

And this is for um I know I'm not sure.

Here's material needs.

Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law.

Christ has redeemed me from poverty.

Christ has redeemed me from sickness.

Christ has redeemed me from spiritual death.

Listen, listen.

For poverty, he's given me wealth.

For sickness, he's given me health.

For death, he's given me eternal life.

It is true unto me according to the word of God.

I delight myself in the Lord, and he gives me the desires of my heart.

I have given and it is given to me.

Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.

With what measure I use, it is measured back to me.

I sow bountifully, therefore I reap bountifully.

I give cheerfully, and my God has made all grace abound towards me, and I have all sufficiency in all things and have an abundance of every good work.

Praise God, hallelujah.

This is for wisdom and guidance.

The Spirit of truth abides in me and teaches me all things, and he guides me into all truth.

Therefore, I confess I have perfect knowledge of every situation and every circumstance in life.

For I have the wisdom of God.

Somebody shout that.

I have the wisdom of God.

Do you know what the wisdom of God is?

It's the ability to know what to do when you really don't know what to do.

Praise God.

Listen, I trust in the Lord with all my heart, and I lean not to my own understanding.

In all of my ways I acknowledge him, and he directs my path.

The Lord will perfect that which concerted me.

I let the word of God sorry.

I let the word of Christ dwell in me richly in all wisdom.

Somebody shout amen.

I don't know about you, but I'm getting excited.

Watch this, this is for comfort and strength.

I am increasing in the knowledge of God.

I am strengthened with all might according to his glorious power.

I am delivered from the power of darkness, and I'm translated into the kingdom of his dear son.

I am born of God, and I have world-overcoming faith residing on the inside of me.

For greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.

I will do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

The joy of the Lord is my strength.

The Lord is the strength of my life.

The peace of God, which passes all understanding, keeps my heart and my mind through Christ Jesus.

And things which are good and pure and perfect and lovely and of good report, I think on these things.

That's all of them in there.

But there's a whole lot of more in the healing one and in the finance one.

Listen, I say that's all of them.

I didn't read all of them.

There's more than that.

But I'm just telling you right now, listen, this is God's medicine.

Can you imagine?

And I know what it'll do because I've done this.

Amen.

I speak the word of God over my life.

As for me and my house, we shall be saved.

Amen.

Here's a scripture that I found.

I was wondering, you know, what scriptures I could say over my wife and my kids, you know.

And here's a scripture that I found for my wife and my kids.

It's the same chapter.

It said, My wife is a fruitful vine by the sides of my house, and my children like olive plants around my table.

My wife is a fruitful vine by the sides of my house, and my children like olive plants around my table.

Amen.

I quote it all the time.

Amen.

And every day we pray angels of protection round about us every day.

It's amazing.

Every time we talk to Sister Susie or Brother Dale, they'll say, put the angels of protection around about you.

Every time I talk to my daughter, she'll say, put the angels of protection around about you.

Every time I talk to my son, put the angels of protection around about you.

You know why?

Because we pray that every morning.

Here's a prayer that I pray over my daughter.

I'm not trying to hold you, I'm just trying to give you all I got.

It's my last night.

Amen.

And I'm done when I say amen.

Alright, so watch this.

So every morning we pray this over the older two.

We pray this over the younger one.

If I go to school with her in the mornings, which I'm not able to because I'm here, but if I go take her to school, she loves me to take her to school.

I'm a morning person, she's a morning person.

That's why she's my best friend and I'm hers.

Praise the Lord.

Amen.

But watch this.

We go to school every morning and we'll we walk from the car to the school, and she'll grab my hand and she'll say, Dad, pray.

I said, All right, let's pray.

So I grab her hand, and this is what we pray.

I say, Father, I thank you right now, angels.

Protection round about Grayson, that you're gonna keep her safe, that no harm and no injury is coming to her.

Father, I thank you that the Holy Ghost of heaven is bringing everything back to remembrance today.

And I thank you, Lord, that you're gonna help her to remember, and she's gonna make all A's and all of her tests, of her homework, of her quizzes, of her projects, and in all of her classes.

Father, I thank you that you're surrounding her with great Holy Ghost Christian friends.

And I thank you, Lord, that she will uh uh uh she will find favor with her coaches, with her teachers, with her classmates and with her teammates.

And I thank you, she'll be led by your spirit today, and I thank you that you'll use her for your honor and for your glory, and I thank you that she's the leader and not the follower, and you're gonna give her a great day today in the name of Jesus.

Hallelujah.

Amen.

And so we pray that every single morning.

Every morning.

I prayed over my older two, I prayed over my younger one, amen.

And it's amazing how she knows what to do now.

It's amazing, it's amazing.

My mom fell at our house uh not last night, but not before.

And so she fell, and my and she said, My daughter grabbed a hold of her and she started praying for her and speaking healing over her.

Why?

Why, why, why?

Because we do it in front of her.

My daughter the other day, I was reading a scripture to her because the Lord told me about three months ago, I guess, the Lord told me to take the time out before I put her to bed and to read uh a chapter in Psalms every single night.

The Lord told me to do this with her, and my 11-year-old.

And so I go in her bedroom, and if she, if I'm not there, she's still reading her psalms.

But we go in our bedroom, and I didn't tell her to do this, but she got out her brand new Bible that the school gave her, and she knelt down on a pillow, and I thought, well, praise the Lord, I gotta kneel down too.

Amen.

She's kneeling down.

So I kneel down beside her and we read the Psalms, and then after she finishes that Psalms, I grab her hand and I say, Thank you, Lord.

Father, we might not understand everything that we read tonight, but I thank you that your Holy Spirit is teaching us about your word.

I thank you, your Holy Spirit is helping grace and understand, and I thank you for a good night's rest.

I there again we pray this at night.

Father, we thank you for angels of protection around about us tonight.

I thank you, you're gonna give us sweet sleep.

That's what you said according to your word.

And I thank you, Lord, that you're gonna minister to us tonight, and we thank you for this day, we thank you for tomorrow, and I thank you, Lord, that you're we're gonna honor you, we're gonna love you, we're gonna live for you tomorrow, and we give you all the praise and glory for this great night's sleep tonight in Jesus' name.

Amen.

Amen.

Praise the Lord.

And so we pray that at night.

And listen, ever since then, she's uh uh we we came upon this scripture.

She said, I know that scripture.

I said, You do?

Watch this.

I said, How do you know that scripture?

She said, It's hanging in my bathroom.

I said, It is?

She said, Yeah, mama hung it up in there.

And so right then and there, train up a child in a way should go.

You might not be speaking the word to them, but that word being on that wall, she's in there using a restroom and brushing her teeth, taking a shower and doing what girls do at 11 years of age, whatever.

She sees that scripture on that wall.

So guess what she's got down on the inside of her?

Scripture off a wall.

Off a picture.

Amen.

And so, what am I trying to say to you?

It don't matter how you get it in, if you get it through audio or you get it through video or you get it through the written paper, whatever.

You've got to start speaking the word of God.

And angels are gonna come to your assistance.

Angels are gonna come help you, and they're not only gonna minister to you, but they're gonna go forth and minister for you.

Hallelujah.

I say hallelujah, amen.

I'm telling you, the word of God works tonight, church.

I'm telling you, it's the most powerful thing in the universe.

Amen.

It's the most powerful thing that you could ever do.

So listen, when you don't know what to say, I challenge you.

I challenge you, don't say negative.

Just do like my mama always told me, zip your lip tater chip if you never have nothing good to say.

Amen.

Ain't that what Bambi said?

No, Thumper.

And Bambi.

What about Thumper say?

If you don't have anything good to say, then don't say nothing at all.

Praise the Lord.

Go watch Bambi.

Amen.

So if Thumper said it, then we need to cling to it.

No, I'm just kidding, if the word of God says it, we need to cling to it.

Amen.

Listen to me, listen to me.

Be careful what comes out of your mouth.

Because if you speak negative, I'm telling you, it's the hardest thing for people to do.

They want to talk about what's wrong because it makes their flesh feel good.

But if you want the word of God to start working for you, then shut off the negative and say, I'm only saying what the word says about me.

I'm fearfully and I'm wonderfully made.

I'm a joint heir with Jesus Christ.

My very best friend is Jesus.

And if Jesus be for me, if God be for me, if the Holy Ghost is for me, if angels are fighting for me, then who in the world can be against me?

Come on, amen.

And so you got to start dwelling on the word of God.

Amen.

And you say the favor of the Lord surrounds me like a shield.

Everywhere I go, amen.

The favor of the Lord is upon me.

I get favor everywhere I go.

I told you the hotel showed me favor.

Praise the Lord.

Amen.

Everywhere I go, I get favor.

Amen.

Praise God.

Why?

Because I'm walking in light of the word.

I speak it over my life, and the word is working.

Amen.

Angels.

Angels are coming.

I said, angels are coming.

They're a sign to my life because I speak the word of God.

Amen.

Praise God.

Well, I don't know if you ain't fired up, I don't know how else to fire you up tonight.
