You're listening to a message to go from AXS Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Well, this morning, we're going to be doing another core value.
-
I think this is co value number ten nine number
-
ten praise generating, praise generating. Oh, it's a topic I love.
-
It's a topic I really really love. We want to
-
learn about praising Jesus and why this is so important
-
in X Church.
-
Why this is a core value of church.
-
It's because in the Book of X, when you study
-
the Book of X, this was.
-
A very very important component.
-
So we are going to learn from it, We're going
-
to be blessed by it, and we want the Holy
-
Spirit to speak to us. Okay, let's let's look at
-
what Acts Chapter two, verses forty six to forty seven says,
-
And it says this, so continuing continuing daily with one
-
accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house,
-
they eat their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
-
praising God and having favor with all men? Is praise
-
something that we do only on Sunday? We had a
-
nice and wonderful time of praise and worship. Just now,
-
Is it something that we only do on Sunday.
-
What does the scripture say?
-
It says so continuing daly. And if you look, there's
-
comma coma come and come and comma praising God. So
-
scripture is saying and continuing daily. One of the things
-
you continue daily is what praising God? Isn't it wonderful
-
to praise God daily? Some of us wonder why our.
-
Day goes bad? Oh I heard a rumble.
-
Some of us wonder why we don't experience the greatness
-
that God tells us we're going to experience daily. Oh
-
that sale doesn't come in. Oh, that business fails. Oh
-
I don't get this client. Oh somebody's angry with me.
-
Ah me and oh my, oh dear, that's the dirty fly.
-
No, what does scripture say?
-
Scripture says that we have to praise God daily. Do
-
you realize that God has given us an opportunity to
-
understand a power that we have that's almost like a superpower.
-
How many do you like Star Trek? Oh, they're feel
-
praise the Lord. I love Star Trek. You know when
-
they say raise shields and then nothing can hit the ship.
-
You see, those of us who like Star Trek, we
-
will understand this when we praise God daily.
-
We are raising shields.
-
Those of you that don't understand star Trek, you won't
-
understand it as much.
-
Shield. What is a shield?
-
It is a protective covering around you. And praising God
-
daily will help you with that. It will help you
-
with that. We need all the help we can get.
-
This world is a rotten world. How many of you know.
-
We need all the help we can get.
-
I just read a story about this wonderful stuff, really
-
good stuff.
-
You know.
-
The boss was having kidney failure. So you know what
-
this stuff did? I donate my kidney maer so Nia
-
We all say wow. So she donated the kidney to
-
the boss. The boss recovered. But somehow this lady after
-
donating a kidney experience some difficulty. So because of that,
-
she had to take medical leave a few times. You
-
know what that kind boss did, He fired her. The
-
world is not such a nice place. You need God
-
to protect you, and how do you do that? Praising
-
the Lord? So scripture says, when they were of one
-
mind and one heart, they did not keep joy to themselves. Hey,
-
praises a joy? Do you keep it to yourself? Praise
-
him on the trumpet. The lionh Praise him on the
-
symbol line dancer, praise him with your instruments, praise, praise
-
him on the high symbols.
-
Praise him on the high symbols.
-
Lead everything that has breath, praise the Lord. Come you
-
the song, Hallayluijah, Praise the Lord, Hallayluiah, Praise the Lord.
-
Let everything that has breath praise the.
-
Lord, hallay Louiah, Praise the Lord, Halliluijah, Praise the Lord.
-
Lead everything that has breath, Praise the Lord that is Psalms.
-
One hundred and fifty. You know why I sang it
-
to you today because God would not let me go
-
when I was praying this morning. When I was praying
-
this morning for this service, this song popped into my
-
head and it would not leave. So when that happens,
-
I know what God wants. He wants you to know
-
that you have to have a Hallelujah. Praise the Lord
-
every morning. If you have breath, praise the Lord. If
-
you don't have breath, it's okay, you don't qualify. But
-
you know what scriptures is, if you don't praise me,
-
the stones will praise me. So how many of you
-
want the stones to take your place. You and I
-
got to understand. I'm sorry. I actually I'm not sorry.
-
Praise is something I love for all these years since
-
I've been born again, been loving praise and worship. You
-
ask Elder Mabel, she knows I start up over there
-
by the time praise and worship is Oh, I'm up
-
at the stage. There's this excitement, there's this and you
-
know what, You will never find me praising the Lord
-
like a cayu when I'm a hundred years old, I
-
will still be moving. You See, if God is going
-
to give mobility, don't you think he would give mobility
-
to someone who's going to use it for his glory?
-
Or is he going to give mobility to someone to
-
stand still? No praise from the lips, no shouts of Hellelujah,
-
Glory to God. Guys, you're young, some of you are
-
not so young, some of you my age, and very
-
few older than me. If all you can do is
-
move your last finger to praise the Lord, then do it.
-
Okay.
-
But as long as Lord, as God is giving you mobility,
-
you have to praise the Lord.
-
Why because it makes you a one mind with the
-
Holy Spirit.
-
One of the results of that unity, that deep shared
-
life in God was a continual habit of praise. Guys,
-
you have to have a habit of praise. They praise
-
the Lord daily, and you know with gladness.
-
And you know.
-
When I pray for the service. On a Sunday morning,
-
I go walking very early. Son is not come up,
-
so that my mind is just focused on God.
-
I can praise the Lord. I can.
-
I spend three rounds. Three rounds is three k kilometers
-
worshiping God. I always do that. That's almost thirty to
-
forty minute. I just worship the Lord. So if you
-
come to my neighborhood, sometimes you see me raise my hands. People,
-
my thing. There's a madman walking early in the morning.
-
It's okay. Not the world think I'm mad, But as
-
far as God is concerned, this is my beloved son.
-
Oh my well, please, that's the way you're gonna live
-
your life. Man, you want great things to happen to you,
-
How are those things gonna happen to you if you
-
don't envelop yourself with the shield of the power of praise. Guys,
-
I only pray, confess, I only pray for the messager
-
one kilometer, which is one round because after you've praised
-
the Lord. You don't need to stress. Whatever you ask God,
-
he will give you. And you see, as I'm praying,
-
say Lord, I need to speak to them. I need
-
to share with them about the power of praise. Then
-
the song dropped in my head and would not leave. Gosh,
-
it's a song that I haven't sung in thirty years.
-
I want you to know that songs in my heart
-
now and it will always lead me the time of praise.
-
They always leave me in time of worship. And you
-
know which with the best songs to sing, the ones
-
that are from scripture, because I'm singing the verses. Life's
-
challenges was not a hindrance, but an opportunity to praise
-
God above it all. When things don't go your way,
-
is it time to throw your hands up and say
-
I give up? I know I see many of us
-
shaking heads. No, it's not time for us to give up.
-
But you know there are subtle ways we give up.
-
You know how we give up. The face becomes a frown.
-
Things didn't go my way? You know what that is?
-
Giving up?
-
Hey, your body is telling a lot of things, and
-
God sees it and he can read.
-
You like a book. So what do you do every
-
time you praise the Lord?
-
It is an opportunity to rise above your circumstance. Don't
-
you want to see miracles happen in your life? Don't
-
you want to see great things happen in your life?
-
Do they happen in your life just like that? Or
-
do they happen in your life? Because God looks at
-
you and he says, this is my beloved son. Wow,
-
look at it. Things not going so well. He's still
-
praising the Lord. He's still praising me. He's still worshiping me.
-
It is an opportunity for you to see God work
-
in your life. I give you some and you think
-
it's big things, right, Yeah, it may be huge things.
-
Maybe big things. I tell you one big thing, and
-
I tell you a small thing. Okay, a big thing.
-
My father is I'd probably share this with you before,
-
but I'll share it again. My father is currently in
-
hospital and he is very serious and he may go
-
at any time.
-
Do you see me distraught? You know why?
-
He's given his life to Jesus three weeks ago on
-
the first day that he went in. Now, when to
-
see him in the morning, he said, Dad, do you
-
know Jesus loves you. I said, yes, I said, I'm
-
going to pray with you and if you if you
-
agree with this prayer, follow after me. And he repeated
-
every word, and he received Jesus into his heart. Yeah,
-
it's worthy of praise. When you go old folks in hospital,
-
there's no time to wait.
-
Okay. And I've said, and I've told this before.
-
If you find that you cannot get through to your folks,
-
your family, your old ones, your loved ones, and they
-
need Jesus, if you call me, I will come.
-
You know why, because they need to know Jesus.
-
So when I shared Jesus with him and he received
-
the Lord, then my father can say I love you Terence.
-
Guys, do you understand that this is real thing?
-
And now when I praise the Lord every day, you know,
-
his BIP is like a roller coaster, one forty at
-
his highest one sixty five or one hundred and forty.
-
Now today is one twenty over fifty eight and this
-
is his daily h Of course, my dad is ninety
-
four years old, all right, But it doesn't matter when
-
I went to meet when I went to see him
-
a couple of days back.
-
Dad, you know Jesus loves you.
-
Yes, I do you know the church is praying for you?
-
That people praying for you. I am grateful, ninety four
-
years older. Then he talks to me a little while
-
he cannot keep awake for very long, and the next
-
thing you know, he is conducting. So, Dad, are you
-
hearing music? He says, yes, I hear nice music and
-
he's conducting. Guys, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of
-
cases of people who respond to things that you and
-
I cannot hear. And that is the time when you
-
know that they are coming close to meeting the Lord.
-
But you know how much how nice it is to
-
see him conducting and meeting the Lord with nice music
-
rather than meeting Lord with screams and yells and yelps.
-
Don't you see this reason to praise the Lord? I
-
praise the Lord every day. I worship him every day
-
during that tough time when my father is in hospital.
-
Am I prying?
-
No? If you want to cry, just cry praises to God. Guys,
-
you and I got so many stuff we're going through.
-
How do you go through the stuff? You praise the
-
Lord daily? I don't understand this world. So this lesson
-
is this, This subject is too hard for me. Which
-
subject that you find on earth that Jesus did not invent?
-
And when the person called him teacher, he said, why
-
do you call me good teacher?
-
You only call God good?
-
So the one who invented every subject, is he not
-
able to teach you?
-
So, you student, what are you finding difficulty?
-
Go to Jesus, praise him for being the one who.
-
Invented that subject, and he will help you.
-
Man, I do electronics with no knowledge of electronics. But
-
I know one person who knows electronics. You know who
-
that is Jesus. I praise him. So when I go
-
to him with the answer with the question, he comes
-
to me with the answer. Okay, that's the tough one, right,
-
Can I tell you the easy one?
-
My house.
-
Don't think my house is dirty. My house is very clean.
-
Let's got rats in the ceiling. I don't put the
-
rats there. Okay, they come by themselves. I do not
-
wear rats. They come in the ceiling from the sowl,
-
from outside the house, from neighbors. But they cannot come
-
into my house. And my house is probably sealed. I've
-
sealed every hole I can find. I don't like these
-
creatures in my house. So anyway, we gave them opportunity
-
because we believe that when we speak to them, they
-
have to go. This is my house. You're disturbing me
-
in the night. I cannot sleep. I command you in
-
Jesus name to go. If you do not go, I
-
have to remove you. So we commanded them, and somehow
-
they did not go. These are very naughty rats. So
-
it was time to deal with them. So I set
-
a rat trap and I put it. Well again, I'm
-
not in my house again in the perimeter. First they
-
caught one, second they got one.
-
That they got one. So I kill the rats. A no, Lisa.
-
I take them to some other place far away from
-
my house and I let them go.
-
They are just trying to live.
-
Man.
-
You know what I caught the other day?
-
I caught a mussang in the rat trap, small rad trap.
-
Big musang. I caught it inside. The mussang actually filled
-
the whole rat trap. When I looked at it, it is
-
these two b the eyes.
-
Looking at me.
-
I say, my word, is so cute. No, really, they're cute.
-
They're very very cute, very cute.
-
So what am I going to do?
-
So I took them, took it far away, and this son,
-
you gotta be careful, okay, wild animal. It hisses that you,
-
and you know I'm not gonna get bitten by this, okay.
-
So I took a long stick and then I put
-
the trap on the ground. It's a rat trap, ah way,
-
a big mussong inside one big musang in a small
-
red trap. And I took the stick and I opened
-
the cover and I waited. After a few seconds, it
-
comes out. Then it turns around, It looks at me,
-
and then it runs off. Two reasons lie look at me.
-
One is you could be thinking, thank you for saving
-
my life. The other reason you're the fellow caught me
-
a wait like her come up to you. The point is,
-
how does this have to do with praising the Lord?
-
I can no more noise in my roof. God gave
-
me the idea what to do. I didn't know what
-
to do, where to put the trap. I didn't know
-
all these things. But you know, when you trust God,
-
he will just say, hey, put he here, well, putty here,
-
get caught, putty here, get caught put here. God will
-
help you with anything in everything that will help you
-
in your daily life.
-
Do we sleep better?
-
Yes?
-
Now we sleep better.
-
We don't have the drums playing in the ceiling, you know,
-
louder than Alex. In fact, it sounds like ten drummers
-
in the roof, all at the same time. How to sleep?
-
Cannot sleep, but praise the Lord. God has an answer,
-
So you got to You gotta see that God has
-
an answer for every situation. It is an opportunity for
-
God to see him work in your life.
-
Guys. It doesn't have to be healing. He doesn't have
-
to be studies.
-
It could be even catching a rat that's giving you trouble.
-
Don't you understand God.
-
Is there in your life for every aspect of it,
-
not just for big aspects. He's there for all aspects. Okay,
-
let's move on. Daily posture. Oh, it's a daily posture.
-
It's a posture of the heart towards God and not
-
meant for occasions alone. You mean to say, a praise
-
is only for Sunday. He praise only for Sunday. You know,
-
if you have that posture of praise every day, it
-
will save you. She will tell you how many accidents
-
have almost happened to me. She and she will always
-
call me La I got I got a I got
-
a another driver in the car who doesn't, but who
-
drives me. Oh, but I want to praise the Lord
-
that God always comes through.
-
See.
-
I'm telling you these things because I want you to
-
know that you need to have praise in your life
-
every day to create that shield about you, to have
-
God working in your life every day. Why is it
-
I've told you this before and I'll tell you again.
-
Why is it that when I eat food I do
-
not get stomach up set? When I go to bufface
-
because the log puts in my head, don't eat this.
-
Everybody will come and say, why this is wonderful? You
-
have to eat this. It's strange, you know, the one
-
that I'm not supposed to eat. At ten people will
-
come and tell me this is the one you have
-
to eat. In my heart, I'm the only one that
-
won't in next day, all having stomach up set.
-
I'm okay.
-
These days are at least my wife and my children day.
-
So when I say I'm not going to eat something
-
and they also will not eat, the Lord speaks to
-
my heart.
-
You mean he speaks that way, Yes he does. Okay.
-
Now, the power of the tongue, you see in praise
-
your tongue has a purpose. Okay for those of you
-
they think you don't have a purpose for your tongue.
-
It's not just to is food.
-
With it James three, nine to ten. It says this,
-
excuse me throat. Okay, with it we bless our God
-
and Father, and with it we curse men who have
-
been made in the similitude of God. Out of the
-
same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things
-
are not to be so, you see it. We cannot
-
have a spirit of praising God and at the same
-
time curse and curs and have words against the very
-
ones that God had also made in his image. You mean,
-
even that rotten boss or mine, especially that rotten boss
-
of yours.
-
How will you change that rotten boss? You praise the Lord.
-
In my life, I have had a boss.
-
Who was a womanizer.
-
Nine times out of ten the words of vulgar shouting
-
and screaming. This is the kind of boss. But you know,
-
I praised the Lord. I stood my ground. I praise
-
the Lord. I worshiped the Lord. I prayed for this person.
-
The same mouth that could have cused him did not
-
curse him, but prayed for him.
-
You know what happened.
-
He got saved, he left it all, and he became
-
a pastor. You mean to say God doesn't work. He works.
-
You mean to say, this will not work in you.
-
I'm something special, I am nobody special. I'm the most
-
ordinary of people. And I he will do it for me.
-
He'll do it for you. To generate, why do we
-
say praise generating? To generate means to intentionally use a
-
mouth for good and godly things.
-
There is both. There is both choice.
-
And power in what we speak, and the tongue must
-
be directed. How many of you remember riding bicycles with dynamos?
-
All the ones will remember. How many of you you
-
know what is a dynamower? Have you any idea what
-
a dynamo on a bicycle is? How many of you
-
do not know what a dynamo one bicycle is? Raise
-
your hands, don't be shy, tell the truth. You see
-
all the young ones, they don't know what a dynamo is. Okay,
-
how many of you know what a dynamo and the
-
bicycle is. Put up your hands. All these are the
-
ones who rode bicycles. Are the ones who didn't put
-
up their hands? Don't ride bicycles anymore. Now, go grab
-
god in drive all that go to the cross the
-
road called grab a lot of traffic for safety reasons,
-
for safety reasons, can't pick you up here, back out,
-
turn the other side and drop you there. Guys, you say,
-
a dynamo was a little gadget attached to the wheel,
-
and when you wanted light to come out of the front,
-
you put on this and the dynamo touched the wheel
-
and there was another metal wheel that will roll against
-
the tire even as the tire row. Now, how many
-
of you know that when you put on the dynamo
-
it was more difficult to drive, right, not? It wasn't
-
as easy to ride the bicycles. There's and some people
-
I know, I had two dynamos, you know, who are
-
very strong legs. I don't know why they need so
-
many lights. But never mind. My brother was one of them.
-
Yeah yeah, yeah today they got led badly charged. Nobody
-
puts a dynamo on the bicycle anymore. They just take it,
-
go home, plug it in charge it and then can
-
use it for ten hours, right or not? Do you
-
know that it's like that power comes even though there's resistance,
-
Power comes even though there's resistance. You want to see
-
the dynamo, dynamite power of God come.
-
In your life.
-
Praise makes it happen despite the resistance. It's like you
-
working with that dynamo and what does it produce?
-
Light?
-
Guys, you and I must never be afraid to have
-
a little bit of difficulty in our lives. It makes
-
us strong people, It makes us tough cookies. Wow, if
-
we do not face any pushback in life as you
-
grow older. Can you imagine you go for your first
-
job but nobody has ever scolded you before, and then
-
your boss comes and say, why are you writing with
-
a red penny? It should be with a green pan?
-
And then you cry, cry, cry, cry, I don't want
-
to come to work anymore. Do you know you got
-
people like that? Cannot You have to be strong, you
-
have to be powerful. How does that happen? A little
-
bit of resistance is okay? God will help you. In
-
James chapter three, it wants us that the very tongue
-
that praises God on Sunday, how many of you praise
-
God today? I only see a few hands. It's not
-
a trick question. How many of you praise God today? Ah,
-
praise the Lord. Okay, praise God on a Sunday. Can
-
tell someone on Monday. You know there's one person that
-
can use his mouth to tap people up.
-
It's me. But long ago.
-
God taught me not to do that, because then he
-
shows me why you want to tell into people?
-
Are you not the same like them?
-
So, no matter how good we think we are, we
-
actually no different than the other person. Because God is
-
not looking about how we worship God on a Sunday.
-
You know what God is looking at. He's looking at
-
how we live our lives every day. Are we in
-
worship every day or is it just a momentary thing? Hey,
-
there are millions of people who worship God only on Sunday.
-
Is already used to that.
-
What he wants to see is worshipers of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
-
besides Sunday. What's bill or destroyed? Heal or wound, lift
-
or crush? What are you generating? So, praise is something
-
you generate even though there is adversity. Praise is something
-
that you need to push on and push through even
-
though things are not going your way. Guys, I want
-
to I'm just drawn to a story that about something.
-
I told someone This person was studying and uh hated history.
-
Oh I hate history. Oh I don't like history. But
-
you don't understand. You got no choice. You have to
-
do well in history. You want to go to university? Right?
-
And on his history? A choice?
-
No? So why so? I asked this person? Why do
-
you let it beat you? You already hate it? Then
-
after you flunk it and it beats you, I give
-
you a better way. Why didn't you study hard, beat it,
-
get an A and never look at it ever again?
-
Who want you want?
-
Because you hated it, but you still beat it? You want?
-
He did that? Guess what?
-
That's how you win. You win through adversity. You mean
-
to say, I like handling rats. I don't like handling rats,
-
but I have to do what I have to do.
-
I'm the man of the house. Well, I see the
-
rag jump on the chair and let el the mabel
-
handle it. There, I've be in big trouble. How is
-
God look at me? Going to look at me and
-
be pleased? And he cannot love?
-
Well?
-
I cannot even manage a rat. It's gonna manage other things.
-
Come on, guys, I don't know why I'm talking about
-
this rat so much.
-
Hey, I can tell you why. Even the rat was cute.
-
You know. That's why I couldn't kill it. I look
-
at it. It's so cute. Look at me in the face.
-
That that ratted two years like that, No really ratted
-
two years, you know.
-
So let it go. Praiser. You want to know something
-
else about praise.
-
Praise is a choice. It's not a feeling. You know
-
what praise is? A choice? Is not a feeling.
-
Means. Let me see what I think.
-
Thessalonians says here you can find it. It says here,
-
rejoice always rejoice in the Lord. And again I say rejoice,
-
rejoice in the Lord wis and again I say rejoice.
-
Pray without ceasing. Pray without ceasing, for this is the
-
will of God. Pray here without You know these songs
-
are not. No, you don't, so I rejoice always pray
-
without In everything, give thanks for this is the will
-
of God. In everything, give thanks for this is the
-
will of God. How many of you know this song?
-
The old ones know right in everything, give thanks for
-
this is the will of God.
-
In Christ Jesus.
-
Concerning you, only songs you gotta learn because it's scripture.
-
Man okay, and it says, yeah, in everything, give thanks
-
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus
-
concern you, guys, We sometimes think that these are choices.
-
We are not choices. Huh, well, it is a choice.
-
It's not a feeling. Praise is not a fling. We
-
don't praise God when we feel good, of course we do.
-
Let me correct that we don't just praise God when
-
we feel good. Some of you think we don't praise
-
God when we feel bad. No, whether you're good, whether
-
you're feeling good, whether you're feeling bad, praise the Lord.
-
I think it is in Let me see it. Let
-
me see if we can find this scripture another scripture
-
sixteen nine thirty.
-
I think it is.
-
I will praise the name of God with a soul
-
and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
-
Wow, magnify him with thanksgiving. Do you know what that
-
means or not?
-
It means that you're making God bigger than your problem.
-
In when God is bigger than your problem, can your
-
problem overwhelm you?
-
Scriptures just a said in everything, give thanks.
-
It did not say give thanks for everything, meaning that
-
oh I got a headache, Oh thank you Lord for
-
this headache. A praise God. It's such a nice headache.
-
I've never had a headache like this before. It's so painful. God,
-
I thank you that I cannot concentrate because of this headache.
-
I thank you Lord. And right now I'm seeing a
-
thousand stars in my head bursting all at the same time.
-
Is that what scripture is telling us to do.
-
No Scripture is telling us that, in that situation, praise God.
-
Why because when you praise God, you magnify God over
-
that situation.
-
God, I thank you.
-
That despite this headache, I will be okay. In fact,
-
because God, I love you so much, I do not
-
see the pain in my head as a problem. It
-
will not stop me from praising you. It will not
-
stop me from worshiping you.
-
Lord.
-
I yeah, having pain is bad, but it's okay because
-
I'm gonna still trust you. I know you are gonna
-
look after me. I know that this pain will go
-
away because I trust you. And Lord, you are great.
-
You're holy, You're wonderful and worshiping the next thing. You know,
-
there is no headache because you made God bigger than
-
your problem by magnifying. Oh, magnify the Lord, for he
-
is worthy to be praised. This is the Lord doing okay,
-
I don't know because all these scriptures are coming back. Oh,
-
magnify the Lord, for he is worthy to be praised.
-
Hozena blessed be the rock. Blessed, be the rock of
-
our Salvatian hozena blessed be the rock. Blessed, be the
-
rock of our salvation. Another song? How man you remember
-
this song? Hey, oh guys, it's okay, it's okay. Bible
-
says that when we're older, we are what wier Chinese say,
-
we eat most salt.
-
Why not.
-
Do you see that when you magnify the Lord? How
-
can any problem capture you? How can any problem sustain
-
its presence in your life? Because you get you've made
-
God bigger than your problem, magnifying the Lord. I think
-
I got no more songs. Last Ellen Mabel was saying,
-
you don't sing, I don't think.
-
Okay.
-
Some days this is it now. Some days we just
-
do not have it cracking now. Some days we wake
-
up on the wrong side of the bed. Everything's not working,
-
where head is not working, where you're not in a mode.
-
You're in a bad mode, so grumpy, so grouchy. Everything
-
that's raining outside you have to use your motorbike to
-
go to work. Is drenching out then and you next
-
day you try and start your bicycle.
-
No patrol.
-
All the kind of things that can go wrong, go wrong.
-
Oh no, God, bicycle, no motorcycle. Okay, all that kind
-
of So some days we just don't have it and
-
the gladness is not there because the energy is low. Crackno,
-
we all experienced that, right, those low energy days. Let
-
me give you an example of some people who went
-
through some tough stuff. If you refer to Acts sixteen
-
twenty five, it talks about Paul and Silas and they
-
were what they were thrown in the dungeon. I shed
-
this message a long time ago. Do you think the
-
dungeons smell nice? Got toilets and the dungeon They were
-
in stocks okay, they.
-
Were in chains.
-
When they needed to go number one or number two,
-
they just did it where they were. You think, what God,
-
lights are there? No, but got past controller. Every day
-
the past control come and they clear out the rats
-
and the corckriages and all the buck.
-
No, they were everywhere. Man, this was where Paul in
-
Silence were. You.
-
I cannot imagine no being in that kind of situation
-
done a dungeon clammy, dirty wet, wet from what smelling
-
or what?
-
Perfumer? No, no, toilet everywhere is a toilet disease.
-
People groaning mourning while you think because they serve them food. No,
-
they whipped them, They beat them and then throw them inside.
-
Paul and Silence, this was their condition. You think you
-
and I have it tough. We woke up on the
-
wrong side of the bed. We don't feel so good.
-
What do you think, Paul in Silence fell? They were beaten?
-
Put in stock? You know I put in stock. Put
-
in stock means you can just put them in jail
-
right now? Why put them in the stocks? Why buying
-
their hands and feet so they what I can tell
-
you can happen now they really you know, it's messy
-
and horrible.
-
And what did they do? Are you God? Why you
-
did this to me?
-
All I wanted to do is share with Chaid Jesus
-
with some money. Look where you threw me into?
-
Did they do that?
-
No?
-
What did they do in spite of their bad second?
-
How many of us have experienced that before in the
-
dungeon like them? No, none of us have experienced it.
-
He is the worst possible feeling you can have.
-
You know what they did.
-
They praised the Lord. Scripture tells me they were worshiping
-
the Lord. Do you know that they provided entertainment for
-
the whole prison. I mean, the poor prisoner's got no entertainment.
-
He hadn't got TV a those days, no TV, no radio,
-
no Spotify. Just these two guys singing praises to God.
-
And you know what scripture says, the whole prison was
-
listening to them. You know why sometimes I have a
-
problem with marketplace. I have a problem in marketplace because
-
when Paul and Silas were in the marketplace trying to
-
preach Jesus, you know what the people did. The people
-
beat them and threw them in prison. And when they
-
were in prison and they were worshiping the Lord and
-
praising the Lord, you know what happened. The ones who
-
needed to hear Jesus heard him. You want to know,
-
Salvation came to that prisoner. Salvation came to the people
-
that everybody else had rejected. Salvation came to the prisoners,
-
the thieves, the robbers, the murderers in the prison.
-
How do I know?
-
This scripture is very clear that when they sang, and
-
they worshiped the Lord the whole and shook, and there
-
was an earthquake and their hands, the chains on their
-
hands and feet broke off, and the doors flung open.
-
That's the power praise. And how do you know.
-
That the prisoners were set free? Do you know there's
-
a prison that devised chains and metal bars. It's the
-
prison of your heart and mind that no jailor can
-
put us into. We put ourselves in that jail, and
-
that is the one that God broke that night. How
-
do we notice the jailer threw his sword and wanted
-
to kill him self. But what did Paul say, stop,
-
don't do it.
-
We are all here. Did he say some of us
-
are here? Did he say ninety percent of us are here?
-
He said? What? We are all here? Now? How many
-
of you know those days? No internet, no internet, no internet.
-
So if I run away from prisoner, from this prison,
-
and I run out of town and I go to
-
some of the town.
-
Do you think they know who I am?
-
No, they won't know who I am because there's no picture,
-
no photo static machine, nothing like that.
-
So if it was me and the prison gates.
-
Were open and I would run, I would run away
-
from there, and I run to the next time free.
-
What nobody knows who I am? What did scripture say?
-
Don't do it? We are all here. Do you know why?
-
Because the gates to the prison of their hearts was open,
-
and praise caused them to recognize the lordship of Jesus Christ,
-
and he saved them. So it didn't matter where their
-
physical bodies were because their hearts were free. Guys, That's
-
what praise and worship in a difficult circumstance did. So
-
what difficult circumstances do you have that God will not
-
overcome with the power of the lips when you praise him.
-
That's why I believe that when I share Jesus with
-
a person who will go home very soon, I really
-
believe that they will receive the Lord.
-
Do you know why?
-
Because I believe that when you praise the Lord, you
-
bring that those the gates that have prevented those people
-
from knowing Jesus will open.
-
And they will receive him.
-
Paul in silas a wonderful example of praising God even
-
when you don't feel like it. So what about when
-
we have no fruit, no harvest, no results. Sometimes we
-
live life like that right, we feel nothing's happening. Man,
-
what good is all this? I'm doing all this and
-
I'm just nowhere and I'm suck. It's okay to be
-
strugger as long as you praise the Lord. You know why,
-
Look at what habercat tree seventeen to eighteen Ciss says Dough.
-
The fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on
-
the vine, though the labor of the olive may fail,
-
and the fields yield no food. Though the flock may
-
be cut off from the fold, and there be no
-
herds in the store. Yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
-
I will joy in the God of my salvation. Okay,
-
those days they don't have cars, they don't have mansions
-
with swimming pool, they don't have.
-
All they had was God's cows sheep.
-
So you gotta understand what scripture is Heay, though the
-
fig may not blossom, that means whatever they till with
-
the ground they plant, there's no fruit, okay, or fruit
-
fruit on the vine.
-
How many of you even have figs.
-
I've eaten fresh figs, not that can you get in
-
our supermarket here. I've eaten them with other mabel in Germany.
-
Oh my word, it is sweeter than grapes. It is
-
the sweetest, most wonderful tasting fruit you have ever eaten.
-
So even if that fig doesn't bloom, no fruit on
-
the vine doesn't work. Do the labor of the olive
-
may feel. That means that even though you work, nothing
-
comes back. You put in a lot of hard work.
-
Your boss doesn't say well done. Somebody else gets the glory.
-
The fields ill no food, so sometimes the seals.
-
Don't come in.
-
Okay, there be no herds in the store even what
-
you have, so sorry, the flock may be cut off
-
from the foe. Whatever you have, also you lose, okay,
-
and there'll be no herds in the store empty. I've
-
run out, I've run out of money, I got no
-
more finances. What does it say yet, I will rejoice
-
in the Lord. I will joy in the God of
-
my salvation. You have riches that defy all these things.
-
What is the richest thing you can ever have?
-
Jesus?
-
If you don't have anything, but you have Jesus, you
-
are the richest person on earth. But you see, it's
-
just words right to say that? Isn't just words? So
-
easy to say?
-
What you don't have anything? You just have Jesus. When
-
a person is on the.
-
Bed and unwell, cannot get up, cannot do anything, cannot
-
enjoy anything, cannot enjoy food, it's just.
-
But then they can say, I know Jesus loves me.
-
You know what is that? I have everything?
-
When you strip away all the stuff, that's you having everything.
-
The word is yet. The word yet is one of
-
the most powerful words in scripture. It is the hinge
-
between hard reality and living faith. The decision to praise
-
does not wait for circumstances to change first.
-
Yet I will rejoice.
-
Yet, I will rejoice praise generating what is your circumstance,
-
rise above it through praise and worship. Hey, get away yourself.
-
We have to get over ourselves. Oh me, oh my
-
things are not going well. Well, join the club. There's
-
so many people like that. Okay, but knowing Jesus is what.
-
Having everything you need is having everything you need. It's
-
not just words. And we are not left to do
-
this on our own strength. See we always think we
-
have to do things in our own strength. Why did
-
Jesus leave us the Holy Spirit for farmer? So we
-
can just see fire drop on some people's heads like
-
the fireworks. Nice fireworks fourth of July. Is that why
-
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit? He is the dunamis power
-
of God that raised Christ from the dead. Is this
-
very same dynamo within us? Remember I said the bicycle,
-
switch on the dynamo.
-
Man, switch it on. Power the Holy Spirit.
-
Praise the Lord, Worship him, Rise above your circumstance to
-
worshiping the Lord.
-
Praise is a sacrifice. Praise is a sacrifice.
-
In Hebrews thirteen sixty fifteen, it says, therefore by him,
-
let us continuously offer the sacrifice.
-
Of praise to God.
-
And that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks
-
to His name, Giving thanks to His name.
-
Do you know that is the easiest of sacrifices. We
-
want difficult things to do.
-
Do you want God to say, before I forgive you,
-
you have to climb mount Everest without shoes?
-
Did he ask you to do that?
-
No?
-
What did he say? Praise me?
-
Those days they have to bring the cow, they have
-
to bring the lamb, they have to bring the God,
-
and then they slaughtered the God at the temple. And
-
then the praise take the blood and sprinkle on you.
-
And then you got all this blood of gods and
-
cows and sheep. Then you get into your mercades bends
-
and drive home. Nisa, Hey, guys, praise the Lord. We
-
just need to praise the We just need to praise God.
-
He's the easiest of sacrifices to do. Thank God, He's
-
made it easy for us to approach him. You say,
-
we don't realize. We say, oh, how can we praise God?
-
And I circumstanced. It's so bad.
-
I'm sounding like Jordah.
-
Guys, in spite of your circumstance being so bad, realize that.
-
Praise is the easiest sacrifice we have. It's the one.
-
It's the one that God loves. Someone is not just
-
ordinary thing, you know. God loves it. He inhabits the
-
praise of his people. The scripture says, he delights in it.
-
It makes him happy. It makes him joyful. And when
-
God is joyful, he's going to allow you to stay
-
in it.
-
So come on, guys.
-
It places God in the right position for us. Ah,
-
it is that it places when we have that position
-
of praise before the Lord. He puts God in the
-
right position before us. I can stand tall a man mees,
-
I can see forever on my I can have it home.
-
Scenes. My God can move a mountain, and all the.
-
Time the world's a little smaller, and I grow taller
-
on my knees. Listen, don't you understand when you are
-
in the right position, God takes his right position. And
-
how good is it to see God standing before you
-
in his godly stands. I don't know how God stands
-
godly loved, And you got power in your heart knowing
-
you're not going to be alone. He praises God in
-
the right position for us, but you are only enthroned
-
in the praises of Israel. Praise also cultivates a habit
-
of trusting God's and changing nature, providing peace and confidence
-
even through life's changes. God does not change.
-
He loves you. He is that father who's been looking
-
in that direction, waiting for you to return to him.
-
And when he.
-
Sees you coming, the Bible says, the only time God ran,
-
it was he ran towards.
-
You and me.
-
Praise no longer just a figment of our imagination. Praise
-
generating the power we need to get through life in
-
a world that has catered itself to destray you. But
-
it will never do that because you know what, when
-
you take your position of praise, and God takes his
-
position of God before your eyes. The world grows a
-
little smaller because you're on your knees praising God, worshiping God.
-
I pray that this message has blessed you.
