  1. Well, praise the Lord, everybody.

  2. I'm Jodie Kagel and this is Jodie Kagel Ministries.

  3. Want to say thank you for tuning in today.

  4. What a blessing it is to be able to bring you the Word of God.

  5. And uh we want to say thank you to God for allowing us to preach the gospel, Amen, and travel and minister at so many churches and revivals and youth camps and youth services.

  6. And uh just uh, you know, we're going to Canada for a second time or a second location uh here in September, and we're excited about that.

  7. And God has just been blessing and opened up so many doors, and we're so very thankful.

  8. As you know, our vision this year is to see 75 people saved, and we are at 46 right now, 46 people being saved already this year.

  9. Praise God, to God be the glory.

  10. And we're believing for uh, you know, like I said, 75, and we've had so many people healed uh this past weekend in Oklahoma.

  11. I mean, in Arkansas first, Arkansas had a woman healed in her eyes and in her back at the same time, praise God.

  12. And then the uh uh there was another lady that we prayed for.

  13. She uh had bone on bone in her knee.

  14. She hadn't been able to bend her knee.

  15. And as soon as we prayed for her before we left today, she was giving God glory.

  16. And she was moving her knee and bending her knee, said it wasn't hurting anymore.

  17. Praise God.

  18. That's the God we serve, Jehovah Rapha, our healer.

  19. Amen.

  20. And uh so we want to praise God for what he's doing.

  21. We'll say thank you to our partners.

  22. Bless you, bless you, bless you in the name of Jesus.

  23. Thank you for giving.

  24. Thank you for believing in us, thank you for supporting us and keeping us on the road to uh preach the gospel to all these churches and all these people.

  25. Um man, what a blessing it is.

  26. And I just want to say thank you to each one of you.

  27. We're believing God for more partners because more partners we get, more we're able to do.

  28. And we're helping out churches.

  29. That's that's our really heart, our our heart is to help out churches as we go there, whatever their need is, we want to put back into that local church, not just go and preach there and take from that local church.

  30. We but we want to bless them and sow back into that local church, and we do, and uh, we can do that more.

  31. The more partners we have, the more um uh, you know, um uh support we have uh financially as well.

  32. And we'll say thank you for praying for us.

  33. Thank you for supporting us in our services, you know, with your attendance, and what a blessing it is.

  34. Thank you to all your pastors uh and the congregations who allow us to come.

  35. We're just very thankful today, amen.

  36. And I'm very appreciative of the what God is doing and what God has allowed us to be a part of.

  37. We are gonna continue talking about our subject here today called promises.

  38. And uh, we've talked about uh that over the past several years, uh, sorry, years, uh, forgive me, weeks, praise God.

  39. And uh, we've been talking about promises and what these promises that God has for us.

  40. And um, we're gonna look at those probably next week, all the promises that God has for us, but we're just kind of talking about God's promises and about the word of God.

  41. And so um a lot of people say, you know, you encourage people to stand on the word, stand on the promise, believe and speak and pray it and uh, you know, think it and speak it and act it.

  42. And and so a lot of people do this over and over and over.

  43. But what I find is when I go to talk to people, this is what they say.

  44. They say, Well, I've tried standing on God's promises.

  45. I've tried, I've tried standing on God's promises, or they haven't worked for me, or they haven't worked effectively for me like they have for other people.

  46. Well, praise the Lord.

  47. Uh, God is no respecter of persons, he's not gonna work for one, his promises, and not work for another.

  48. Amen.

  49. And so we've got to go back to the Bible because I can promise you this, and I don't know if I said this previously or not, but the problem is not with God.

  50. Amen.

  51. The problem is not with his word, the problem is not with the promise.

  52. The promise is the person who's trying to receive from the word and from the God and from the promise.

  53. Amen.

  54. And so we got to go back to the book and find out where the problem is.

  55. Amen.

  56. Because the I promise you, the problem lies within us.

  57. It's not God, it's not his word, it's not his promise.

  58. And so we've got to uh find out exactly uh what it is and how we do that as we go back to the word.

  59. You know, the word is a light into our path and a lamp into our feet.

  60. So what the word does, it will shine light where we miss it.

  61. It will shine light where maybe we don't have it correctly or we're not doing it correctly.

  62. And so I love what Brother Kenneth Hagin said years ago.

  63. He said this.

  64. He said, it's not what you think the Bible says that works.

  65. It's what the Bible actually says that works.

  66. I'm gonna say that again.

  67. That bears repetition.

  68. Uh, Kenneth Hagin said this.

  69. He said, it's not what you think the Bible says that works, it's what the Bible actually says that works.

  70. So we've got to make sure of what the Bible or God's word actually says about the promise that we're claiming.

  71. Amen.

  72. We've got to make sure that we study that verse that contains the promise itself and allow that verse uh to speak to us.

  73. But we've got to not just study that verse, but study all around that verse and find out what is the theme, what is what is he saying in this verse, you know, because previous verses will let you know, but the continuation of that verse uh is after that verse as well, and we can find out what he continues to talk about or continues to trying to say.

  74. And then after we find that out, ask the Holy Spirit.

  75. You know, the Holy Spirit is there for our our um uh support and our comfort and our guide.

  76. And I, you know, he said he's a lawyer and he's a strengthener, he's a standby.

  77. You know, the thing is he wants to teach us and he wants to help us understand every scripture and bring revelation knowledge of the scriptures.

  78. So you'll be amazed at what you learn if you'll study it, number one.

  79. But ask the Holy Spirit, show me, Holy Spirit, what am I missing here?

  80. What do I need to see here that I've never seen before?

  81. Open my eyes, Holy Spirit.

  82. Just pray that.

  83. And the Holy Spirit will be your helper.

  84. That's what he says he is.

  85. And so we certainly uh have been through this time and time again in our lives.

  86. I know um, you know, a lot of times I pray and I even quote Isaiah 119.

  87. You know, we say, You promised God in this verse that we would eat the good of the land.

  88. And as you know, that's what it says, we shall eat the good of the land.

  89. But um, how many know if you study that verse, it says something else as well.

  90. It doesn't just say a promise that you'll eat the good of the land.

  91. It said if you'll be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.

  92. I remember Brother Hagin telling a story one time, and he said, Lord, I've I've been obedient to you.

  93. I've been obedient to you.

  94. I'm pastoring this church, and it's not going good.

  95. The finances are not coming good uh in, and the finances are not good, and you know, just uh people are not getting saved or healed and they're just not coming.

  96. He said, And I don't understand.

  97. I'm being obedient.

  98. And the Lord spoke back to him.

  99. He said, Yes, you're being obedient, but you're not being willing, praise God.

  100. And so, whatever God tells you to do, you gotta be willing, first of all, to do what he tells you to do and then be obedient.

  101. And the two coming together will cause you and I to eat the good of the land, praise God.

  102. And so we can't be complaining about obeying.

  103. Hallelujah.

  104. We can't be complaining about doing what God's called us to do.

  105. You know, I'm not gonna complain about traveling, I'm not gonna complain about flying or driving or hotels or um, you know, studying or praying or preaching or eating out all the time.

  106. No, I'm not gonna complain.

  107. I'm gonna be willing to do whatever God wants me to do.

  108. And then number two, be obedient to that.

  109. And I will eat the good of the land, and so will you, praise God.

  110. And so the Bible is so important, and and it's amazing if we'll just look into it, um, you know, uh, because sometimes in our life, unexpected storms, unexpected situations, unexpected circumstances, they all come into our life.

  111. But here's what I like to say: we must have preventive maintenance, all right?

  112. What is preventive maintenance?

  113. Preventive maintenance is simply this.

  114. You don't wait to change your oil in your car when your motor blows up.

  115. Praise the Lord.

  116. If you do, then give me your car.

  117. Amen.

  118. Praise God.

  119. No, what you do is you do preventive maintenance.

  120. You change the oil in the car so the fresh oil will keep the motor running longer.

  121. Amen.

  122. So, what you do is study the word, show yourself approved, the Bible says.

  123. And as you study it, you're doing preventive maintenance before the storm ever comes, before the situation, circumstances, problems, whatever, uh, before they ever come into your life.

  124. And so when they come, we have to be careful what we think about.

  125. Don't allow the negativity influence of these storms, of these problems, situations, circumstances to affect our thinking.

  126. You cannot allow it to affect your thinking.

  127. You must think in line with the word and you must think in line with God.

  128. Amen.

  129. And so uh watch what he said here.

  130. Uh he said, if you don't make any corrections, you can find yourself in a mess with no idea how to get out.

  131. But thank God when that happens, guess what?

  132. We can always go back to the book.

  133. Amen.

  134. You can open up and open it up and find exceeding great, precious promises, is what the Bible says.

  135. And so they're in there and they cover everything that pertains to life and godliness.

  136. And so they contain the answers to every situation.

  137. Watch this, that can arise in your spirit, your soul, your body, your finances, or your family.

  138. So watch this.

  139. The problem isn't really a problem if you have a book with all the answers.

  140. What if, I'll take you back real quick, if if I remind you of when you were in school and the teacher said it's an open book test.

  141. Well, all of those problems the teacher lists on that test are not problems.

  142. They're not problems.

  143. They are something we got to answer, but they're not problems because he just said that you can open up the book that has all the answers in it, and you can look in that book, and you can get all the answers, and then you can answer all the problems, and you'll get a 100.

  144. Praise the Lord.

  145. Same way, same way in your life every single day.

  146. The Bible has all the answers in it.

  147. So nothing that you face is actually a problem.

  148. It's just a situation where you need to find out what the answer is in the Bible.

  149. It's an open book test.

  150. And once you find out the answer in the Bible, then apply it to the problem.

  151. And then guess what?

  152. You'll get a 100 because the answer is going to take care of the problem.

  153. Hallelujah.

  154. Well, praise the Lord.

  155. We're out of time today.
