  1. Welcome to the Lone Star Church podcast.

  2. Pastors CF and Nicole Rady are here to share the Word of God with you each week, helping you grasp the fullness of God's plan for your life.

  3. We hope you'll be blessed by this week's message.

  4. If you live in Northwest Missouri or Southern Iowa, we invite you to join us in person on a Sunday morning.

  5. For more information about us, visit our website at lonestarchurchorg or find us on Facebook, instagram or YouTube.

  6. Amen, all right, so let's go to.

  7. We're going to go to 2 Timothy 1.7.

  8. We're going to look at power, love and a sound mind.

  9. Did you know?

  10. It is not the will of God for you to be crazy?

  11. You ever just like you ever get just in in your mind.

  12. I ever get in your mind and and just start, you're busy and you've got this going on and you got that going on.

  13. I had a conversation with someone and the other day and they were like I've, you know, I'm just so, my everything's busy and and um, and I'm like me too, and I, you know, can get, start to feel overwhelmed, and then your mind starts.

  14. You know, you start, I'm like, am I crazy?

  15. How did I miss that?

  16. Or what did I do?

  17. Or?

  18. But God has called us to have a sound mind.

  19. He's called us, he's given.

  20. In fact, he's given you.

  21. He didn't give you.

  22. And we'll read it here.

  23. Let me don't.

  24. I don't want to get ahead of it.

  25. So here in 2 Timothy 1, 7, it says For God has not given you a spirit of fear, but he gave you power, love and a sound mind.

  26. So praise the Lord he didn't give you a spirit of fear and notice that that fear is a spirit.

  27. Have you ever watched a scary movie?

  28. How many of you, your kids, have watched a scary movie and they feel very afraid.

  29. Lucy had a basketball whatever gathering several weeks ago and they, while she was there, they're like well, let's watch a movie.

  30. And they watched a scary movie and she was like mom, that was so scary.

  31. And the whole time she was cuddled up with another friend and the friend kept going oh, I'm just so glad I have Jesus, lucy, and Lucy's like I'm glad I have Jesus too.

  32. And the other girls were like don't be wimpy, don't be wimpy.

  33. And what did she feel?

  34. She felt fear.

  35. Why?

  36. Because what fear does and its influence is to affect this realm, your body, your body.

  37. That has contact, contact in this realm.

  38. Fear is meant to contact and to influence this, your emotions, your mind.

  39. And so you ever been in your house alone and you hear something and you automatically, man, something happens to your body.

  40. You're like, oh, what was that?

  41. And if you're me, I'm like Jesus and you just act kind of crazy.

  42. Let them know, I got a gun.

  43. I don't know how to use this gun.

  44. It's in this particular spot.

  45. I don't even know how to put it together, but I will flash it.

  46. But they don't know that unless they watch this video.

  47. But fear will just affect your emotions, it affects your body, it'll affect how you feel, you ever.

  48. Just you just feel that and all of a sudden you almost get paralyzed.

  49. It's the only way I know how to explain it.

  50. It's like you get paralyzed, um and um and then you just freeze, almost and you don't know what to do.

  51. Well, that's the effect of fear and what it will do in your life, and then it'll make you do stupid things.

  52. I have the.

  53. It's a.

  54. It's a funny story to my sister.

  55. It is not a funny story to me.

  56. When Bo was a baby, we were at my house and there was tons of people there and like I don't know, I mean like I had like aunts there.

  57. I know Shauna was there and her kids were there and the weather got really bad, just like super quick, and like came in and it looked like tornado coming in.

  58. And my mom comes in to the kitchen and looks at me and she's like and Bo was upstairs sleeping and she goes Nicole, go get Bo.

  59. And I was like, oh my gosh, and like fear just came all over my body and I started to run up my stairs and I tripped over every stair.

  60. I couldn't get up the stair because of fear.

  61. You know, I wasn't in my right mind.

  62. All I could think of is my son is going to die because my mom is panicking and I'm like, well then you go get him.

  63. But it will make you do stupid things, it'll put pressure on you to do stupid things, and you know, fear of finances, fear of your own health, whatever you are fearful of, if you submit to it because of the pressure that it will bring, it will make you do ridiculous things, it'll make you say stupid things.

  64. And so the one thing I know that we have from the word is that God didn't give us a spirit of fear.

  65. So if he didn't give us a spirit of fear, what did he give us?

  66. Power, love and a sound mind.

  67. Don't you love that?

  68. I don't know why this just came up in me, or I was reminded of it.

  69. I remember when I was a teenager and I lived in Wyoming in much bigger school.

  70. I mean my class alone.

  71. My class that I would have graduated with had 500, just a little over 500 kids in it, and so it was just a much bigger school and I can remember going to basketball games and I'm like I don't want to walk in front of people.

  72. I don't want to walk in front of people, like I was paralyzed with fear to even walk in front of people.

  73. And then I remember when God's like I want you to preach in front of people, I'm like what?

  74. But I know adults that don't even walk in front of people because of fear.

  75. They don't want to walk in front of a crowd, because I mean even the littlest things, whatever the enemy, he knows you're bent.

  76. He knows why.

  77. Because you'll talk about him.

  78. You'll talk about things like well, I'm just a hot mess, look at me, I'm just a hot mess, just me and my hot mess life.

  79. And here's the thing I understand we may have a moment, but you don't have a hot mess life, right, you have a redeemed life with a purpose.

  80. So be very careful about what you say about your life, because the enemy lies in wait, watching, because he's not omnipresent, he doesn't live on the inside of you, but he's watching your words.

  81. So when you say things like well, I'm just a hot mess, and you keep saying that guess what happens?

  82. Okay, it's going to get even worse because she opened the door for that or he opened a door for that.

  83. So be careful what you say about yourself, even when it's just funny.

  84. I've done it.

  85. I've done it so many times and made fun of myself and talked about myself and said things.

  86. And then you open up the door and you're like, why does this keep happening in my life?

  87. Well, let's just clean up the way we talk.

  88. How do we do that?

  89. You do that by the renewing of the mind, amen.

  90. I heard Pastor Nancy Dufresne talk about this.

  91. She had a dog bowl full of water and it had like bugs in it.

  92. And you know her, she's like I'm not digging around in there getting up them bugs.

  93. And so she said what she did was she just turned the water on and flushed out all those bugs with fresh new water.

  94. So what will the word do?

  95. Don't worry about the wrong thinking.

  96. Don't worry about the wrong talking If you'll just start letting the word of God come in and flush out the wrong stuff All of a sudden, because you've allowed the word to come in.

  97. And didn't you love Pastor CF's message last week?

  98. Just read it.

  99. Get in Judges.

  100. You read Judges.

  101. My God, read Judges.

  102. I've started.

  103. I'm like this is hard, but not now.

  104. I'm like I'm reading Judges, I'm doing it, lord, but if you'll just begin to allow the word, because what happens is when we start to see weaknesses in our life and this is so not my message but when we start to see weaknesses in our life, we just be like, okay, I've got to fix that and I've got to fix this, and I've got to do this.

  105. And there's nothing wrong with self-examination, that's good Under the light, under the microscope of grace, always under the microscope of grace.

  106. We never do it under shame.

  107. We do it under the microscope of grace, with his hand guiding us in that correction or in that moment where we're trying to correct some things.

  108. But what we'll do is we'll be like I've got to fix this and I've got to fix that, and I've got to do this and I've got to do that, Instead of just submitting under his hand and being like, lord, I'm going to let you help me and I'm going to let the word come in.

  109. I'm not going to focus on what needs fixed, I'm going to focus on your word and I'm going to be like Mary and I'm just going to learn to come, sit at your feet and ignore the distractions and just come.

  110. Let the word flush everything out that needs to go.

  111. Ephesians talks about how the word of God it's like the washing of the water of the word the washing of the water of the word will cleanse you and wash things off of your life that you don't want there.

  112. It's like the stain of sin.

  113. You ever have a stain on clothing and I've had to work on some stains lately on my kids' clothing and I'm telling you I stand on it.

  114. Clorox too, buy it.

  115. I firmly stand on Clorox 2.

  116. But did you know that the blood of Jesus and the word of God is more powerful than Clorox 2?

  117. And the stain of sin that you've tried to remove off of your life and you've tried to get off and you're like I do it for a minute but it won't go.

  118. But what the word will do if you'll focus on the word instead of focusing on what's wrong with you, because the enemy's goal is to try to get you to look at you and if he can keep you looking at you and what's wrong with you, you'll stay wrong forever.

  119. But if you can get your eyes on Jesus and start looking at his goodness and start looking at his mercy.

  120. The next thing that happens to you is you're like my God, that stain, that stain, that sin man, that's gone, that doesn't even bother me anymore what used to bother me.

  121. Man, you're like well, I cussed all the time.

  122. I'm like quit cussing.

  123. I'm like quit cussing.

  124. How do you quit cussing as a believer?

  125. Get in the word, let the word flush that out of you.

  126. Right, we don't want to talk like that.

  127. But if he can get you to look at yourself and how much you need to change and how it's all about you instead of him, you'll stay in this sin consciousness for the rest of your life and things will never change.

  128. And you might have a little progression here and a little progression here, but then you fall back every time and praise God that we have for all of sin and fall short of the glory of God.

  129. We don't want to live on that scripture for the rest of our life.

  130. God, we don't want to live on that scripture for the rest of our life.

  131. But if we'll get our eyes on Jesus, what is he?

  132. He's the author and the finisher of your faith.

  133. Why not go sit at his feet?

  134. Let him do the hard work.

  135. He does the hard work.

  136. No one else could wash sin.

  137. I mean, I love my husband, but he's not over there buffing off the sin off of my life.

  138. And I'm not talking about being a sinful person, I'm talking about having fleshly tendencies.

  139. Right, we know that in this church, because once you're born again, you've got the nature of God on the inside of you.

  140. Paul talks about that.

  141. Why do I do the things I don't want to do, but I do the things I all right, excuse me, it's in Romans 7.

  142. I think it's Romans, it is.

  143. And he was like I don't do the things I need to do and then I do the things I don't want to do.

  144. What is that?

  145. It was a war against his flesh and his spirit, his spirit.

  146. Man was born again.

  147. We're going to look at that scripture.

  148. So God didn't give you a spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind.

  149. So that's a promise that we have from the Father.

  150. How many of you have ever sang that song, standing stand.

  151. If you grew up in this church, you sang it.

  152. It and you heard Roxy sing it over and over and over again, standing on the promises of God, my Savior, standing Right, you've sang that song.

  153. Well, how many of you have ever thought you're like I don't even know what the promises of God are.

  154. What are the promises of God for me to stand on?

  155. And that's a legitimate question.

  156. So the moment that we are born again and I just mentioned this our nature has changed and every blessing of God belongs to us.

  157. We come into his kingdom and all that is in that kingdom belongs to us.

  158. The Bible says that the moment you were born again, you were translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light, glory to God.

  159. That's the place where you function from and you're like well, how come it just feels dark all the time?

  160. Well, you just need revelation, knowledge of where you belong.

  161. And if you have revelation Paul talks about he was like Lord, give unto them the spirit.

  162. Or, excuse me, let's go to Ephesians, chapter one, verse 17.

  163. Paul prayed one of the most important prayers you could ever pray over your life.

  164. In fact, I know Pastor CF has emphasized this many, many times in this church.

  165. You must pray this prayer over your life every day, every single day.

  166. Pray this prayer and you might say well, I just don't know how to pray.

  167. Here you go.

  168. Here you go, I'm here to help you.

  169. Paul prayed this prayer for the church at Ephesus.

  170. You make it personal.

  171. I pray this prayer for my church, this church that the God of our Lord, jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give unto you what?

  172. The spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

  173. So he wants you to have wisdom and revelation of who Jesus is, knowledge about who he is.

  174. You can know Jesus.

  175. He's not a mystery to you.

  176. But you pray that prayer and all of a sudden Jesus, the Father, begins to peel back layers of who he is in your life.

  177. And he said that the eyes of our understanding would be enlightened.

  178. Do you know?

  179. You have spiritual eyes, spiritual eyes on the inside of you.

  180. Why?

  181. So you can see some things.

  182. Your spirit man is real that you may know.

  183. There's three things he wants you to know and you to understand that.

  184. You may know what is the hope of your calling, the call of God on your life.

  185. You can know the call of God for your life and you may not know the big picture, but you can know the next step and he can reveal that to you.

  186. You ever been in a dark place?

  187. A really, really dark.

  188. I think Pastor CF said this last week or the week before him and Olive were driving and it was like country dark, that's what Olive calls it.

  189. Now she heard someone say it's country dark out here, dan.

  190. And then so CF turned off the lights and literally they couldn't see anything.

  191. But then he turned the light on and everything was revealed.

  192. Then they could see the path.

  193. And that's what.

  194. Even though you're born again, your eyes need to see some things and your eyes.

  195. There's a revelation, knowledge that you must pray for and that God will give to you.

  196. As you begin to pray that, how many of you want to do the plan of God?

  197. Amen?

  198. We're getting ready to have Reverend Joseph Morris come in and he's going to talk about in times, how many of you I mean?

  199. Who loves Reverend Joe?

  200. Yeah, he's so good, but he talks about the reward seat.

  201. It's a little humbling.

  202. Do you know that?

  203. And this isn't to scare, this is like a good thing that you can know what the plan of God is and walk out the plan of God and you're going to stand before him as to whether you did that or not.

  204. And he's going to say did you do what I told you to.

  205. Well, I didn't know.

  206. No, I gave you opportunity to find that out and it's not hey, pick A, b or C, whichever one you want to do.

  207. No, the plan of God.

  208. The moment you got born again.

  209. I mean you were born with a plan, but the moment you got born again it was put on the inside of you.

  210. I mean you were born with a plan, but the moment you got born again it was put on the inside of you.

  211. Now it just needs to be revealed.

  212. Proverbs talks about that, how the spirit of God is like the candle.

  213. Hold on Proverbs 27, 17.

  214. Can you pull that up really quick, danny?

  215. Thank you Jesus.

  216. Thank you Jesus.

  217. I'll just wait because it'll take me much longer to pull that up than her.

  218. She's quicker.

  219. Oh, maybe 2720.

  220. That's not it.

  221. Someone help me find that?

  222. The candle of the Lord?

  223. Yes, 2027.

  224. Yeah, 27.

  225. There it is.

  226. Thank you, thank you, danny.

  227. Everyone give it up for Danny.

  228. Do you know how hard that is back there to do that, and especially when you're like 27.

  229. It's 27.

  230. Yeah, go to 27.

  231. She's like typing and trying to hurry and go there.

  232. They do a great job back there.

  233. So in Proverbs 20, 27, it says Spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of your belly.

  234. That's where we locate where our spirit man is is in our belly area.

  235. Right, we have other scripture references out of the mouth of two or three witnesses that can be established.

  236. We have that established with other ones.

  237. But the spirit of the man is the candle of the Lord.

  238. And look what he's doing searching all the inward parts of the belly.

  239. Well, what's he down there doing?

  240. What's he looking for?

  241. Because that's a little weird.

  242. You're like you know what are you looking for, holy Spirit, down in my inward man.

  243. Well, what he's wanting to do is that you would hook up with him and you'd start to go into places in your heart where the plan of God is, where the call of God is, and you would start to let him to reveal that to you.

  244. So praise the Lord.

  245. So back to Ephesians, chapter 1.

    Ephesians 1 chapter mention

  246. So he would give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of him that the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened to what we just talked about.

  247. It the call of God on your life.

  248. And it's a hope.

  249. Every single person's born with a purpose and a plan.

  250. There is a one person in this room who does not have a plan and a purpose on their life and I truly believe that the enemy, that is.

  251. His ultimate plan, other than to keep you out of the kingdom of God, it is to keep you from fulfilling the plan of God on your life, because the greatest threat isn't really that you get born again.

  252. He doesn't want people born again, but if he can't keep you from being born again, he's going to keep you ignorant from the plan, because people who understand the plan of God on their life are the greatest threat to the kingdom of darkness.

  253. It is the greatest threat.

  254. You can get born again and sit in your little house and be happy all the rest of your life.

  255. You've punched your ticket.

  256. You're going to heaven.

  257. Good for you.

  258. But if you never figure out what the plan of God is, you have no effect for the kingdom and you have zero, and then you just do nothing to the kingdom of darkness.

  259. But every person in this room has a plan.

  260. How many of you believe that?

  261. So the next time the enemy tries to tell you you're worthless, you don't have a plan there.

  262. The next time the enemy tries to tell you you're worthless.

  263. You don't have a plan there's.

  264. You know, you were born into this.

  265. You were born into that.

  266. You've made these mistakes.

  267. You can tell him.

  268. I thank God that I have a plan, because Ephesians, chapter 1, tells me there's a hope for one and that all I have to do is pray and ask God and he'll reveal that to me.

    Ephesians 1 chapter mention

  269. Praise the Lord.

  270. Teach your kids this.

  271. Don't teach well, we just let's research, let's find what you're going to do.

  272. Oh, do you want to do business?

  273. Let's do.

  274. Oh, do you want to do?

  275. You want to do this, or we can go into this, we can go into that.

  276. No, you teach them from a very, very young age.

  277. You have a plan.

  278. It's not my job to tell you.

  279. The Lord will tell you what that plan is.

  280. Teach your grandchildren that I'm so glad I had a grandma that knew how to pray for her grandkids and knew how to pray that there was a plan on their life and that they would walk in that plan all the days of their life.

  281. So you know what I do for my kids.

  282. I'm thankful that my kids get the bugs off here they stink.

  283. I'm thankful I pray over my children every day, that I'm thankful that there's a plan of God for their life and they'll walk in those plans all the days of their life and every season of their life.

  284. They'll fulfill the plan of God for their life.

  285. Praise the Lord, glory to God.

  286. So the moment you're born again, so the moment you're born again, every blessing belongs to you.

  287. We come into his kingdom and all that is in this kingdom belongs to us.

  288. How many of you believe that it's not earned, it's automatic.

  289. But do you know how you obtain it?

  290. By faith, by faith.

  291. We walk by faith.

  292. By faith, we walk by faith, we hear by faith.

  293. How many of you remember the first time you heard from God?

  294. I do.

  295. I remember the first time.

  296. I mean like I remember.

  297. It was like I was 17 years old and well, let me back it up a little bit.

  298. I was.

  299. I think I was like eight years old and I had this dream, um, and I didn't know that you could have a dream.

  300. I didn't know you could dream dreams.

  301. You know the if Axe talks about that and I didn't know you could do that.

  302. And I had this dream one time and I and it's's it's in me, like it was, it was God letting me know to my eight-year-old little brain and my eight-year-old little heart that there was a plan of God for my life and that I was called to preach the gospel.

  303. And so I remember telling my grandma Haffey Shauna and Annie's, our grandma and I remember telling her.

  304. I was like grandma had this dream, you know.

  305. She said, well, you're gonna get up in front of church and share it with everyone.

  306. And I was like, okay, grandma.

  307. And she was like Nicole's got a testimony.

  308. I was like eight years old, but man, I didn't even.

  309. I was like, okay, yeah, I'm going to share it.

  310. I shared it right here up at this church.

  311. And I remember, you know, I kind of did.

  312. I was a little wild in high school and did some wild things.

  313. And when I was 17 years old, my grandma bought us tickets to Acquire the Fire Youth Convention.

  314. How many of you remember Acquire the Fire Amen, with Ron Luce.

  315. We all went to that and so totally changed my life.

  316. I went there and I had never seen Jesus presented like that in my whole life and it was just my moment, it was just my time, it was my moment and I went and gave my heart back to Jesus and I can remember just little things hearing from God.

  317. I didn't know how to do that.

  318. I didn't know Romans 8, 14, and 16.

  319. I didn't understand those scriptures, but I just I knew I loved Jesus.

  320. And I remember the first time when the Lord told me I want you to go to teen mania and I had, excuse me, let me back up a little bit.

  321. I'd graduated high school but I had no direction of what I was supposed to do with my life.

  322. How many of you know that's okay.

  323. I'm here to tell you that's okay.

  324. And so you know what I did.

  325. I didn't do anything and all my friends were going off to college and they were doing these great things, and I lived in Bethany and I worked at Hardee's.

  326. I know it sounds super glamorous, doesn't it?

  327. But I didn't know what to do with my life.

  328. So I was just faithful.

  329. I served in the Christian church for Pastor Paul Drummond and he helped me immensely with my walk with God.

  330. And I remember the first time I heard him talk to me and it was so profound other than my sweet dream that I had and he told me I want you to go be an intern with Teen Mania Ministries.

  331. And then, right after that, he told me you're going to marry CF Rainey, I was like, yes, lord, I am.

  332. But I remember those moments when I heard from God and I didn't really have anyone around me to say that's from God, except Pastor Paul.

  333. And then I met my sweet.

  334. At the time she wasn't my mother-in-law, but I met her and she confirmed things in me.

  335. Do you ever get around people and they just confirm it in you, like you heard from God, you heard that's right, they'll affirm it in you.

  336. That's the plan of God for you.

  337. Praise the.

  338. Lord.

  339. Praise the Lord for that.

  340. So let's we'll back up.

  341. We're here in verse 17, 18, but let's go back up to Ephesians, chapter one, verse three, and it says praise be to the God who and father of our Lord, jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

  342. So it doesn't say he's going to bless you or he will eventually bless you.

  343. I love the word hath.

  344. It's such a King James Version word.

  345. He hath already done it, meaning the moment Christ died and was seated at the throne next to the Father.

  346. He hath already made every blessing available to you.

  347. You don't work for it, you don't earn it, it has been given to you.

  348. How do you obtain it?

  349. By faith, by reading a scripture like this and saying oh okay, it belongs to me.

  350. Thank you, lord, they belong to me, I take it.

  351. How do you take things With your words?

  352. That's why we're like bless the Lord, oh my soul, why we bless him with our words.

  353. You say things out loud.

  354. How do you get into the kingdom of God?

  355. Romans 10.10.

  356. You make a?

  357. What Confession Out of your mouth.

  358. Well, you're just one of those churches that confesses yes, we're all going to heaven, amen.

  359. And here's the thing.

  360. If that's how you get into the kingdom, that's how the kingdom functions.

  361. God said we were made in his image and after his likeness.

  362. And then God said let us make man.

  363. And you know what happened.

  364. Man was formed.

  365. Why?

  366. With the words that come out of his mouth, let us make this.

  367. Let there be a river, let there be a sun, let there be a moon.

  368. What was the point?

  369. It was his voice that made a difference.

  370. It was his voice that created things.

  371. Your voice will create things for your future.

  372. Your voice puts you into the kingdom of God.

  373. Your voice is what activates your faith when you read scriptures like this Hallelujah.

  374. So, as a born-again believer, the best place to find what belongs to you and we'll look at the New Testament.

  375. My time is kind of winding down here.

  376. I have a lot of notes.

  377. Like I said, it's been a minute since I've been up here, so I get a little wordy and talky the best place to find what belongs to you, as a born-again, new covenant believer, is in the New Testament, and so the one thing that belongs to you in 2 Corinthians 5.17 is the new birth.

  378. Aren't you thankful for the new birth?

  379. The Bible says that, therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a.

  380. What?

  381. Come on, you're a new creature.

  382. Aren't you glad that God didn't just say I'm going to take that old spirit man, the one that you got from Adam, that seed in you that looks like Satan and it serves Satan and you're under the demise of Satan.

  383. You're under that, and I'm just going to take it and polish it up.

  384. We're going to make it look really cute.

  385. He didn't say that.

  386. He's like no, no, no, no, no.

  387. We're going to take that one out and we're putting a new one in.

  388. And you know what it looks like Looks just like Jesus, looks just like him.

  389. And then you go over into scriptures like 3 John.

  390. Hold on, let me just say something to y'all, excuse me.

  391. Yes, nope, not there.

  392. Yeah, I can't find it.

  393. Oh, no, it's in 1 John, my bad, and then my phone takes forever, so it's okay, but you go, it's in 1 John, 3, if anyone.

  394. And it says that when his seed is born of God, he doth not commit sin.

  395. But let me pull it up just so y'all can know I'm not making this up and we have the word to back it up.

  396. Yes, thank Danny.

  397. 1 John 3, 9, whoever, whosoever is born of God, is that you.

  398. Yes, that's you.

  399. So you're born of God If you've made Jesus, if you've confessed that he is the son of God and that he is your savior, and that you want him to be your savior of your life and you want to be born again.

  400. Guess what?

  401. You're born of God.

  402. You're translated.

  403. Notice this.

  404. Read this out loud.

  405. It says you do not commit sin.

  406. You want to stir up devils and people.

  407. Just read this scripture.

  408. This is why we teach so much the threefold nature of man spirit, soul and body.

  409. Because if you go into 1 John 1.9, it says if any man commits a sin, hold on.

  410. We're going to read it Because I don't want to misquote.

  411. In 1 John 1.9, let's pull that up, danny, this is being a little slow If we confess our sins, he's faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  412. So let me just point.

  413. So here, in 1 John, it says if we confess our sin, he's faithful and just to forgive us.

  414. But over in 1 John 3, in chapter 3, it says that whoever is born of God does not commit sin.

  415. Is the Bible schizophrenic?

  416. No, who's the problem?

  417. We are.

  418. If we don't understand, we're the problem.

  419. This is why you need to understand the threefold nature of God.

  420. And when you're born again, your spirit man becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus.

  421. All things passed away, behold, all things become new.

  422. But what has influence in this world?

  423. The thing that did not get born again was your soul and your body.

  424. Those are the two areas that the enemy has influence on.

  425. Those are the two things Hebrew talks about how the word of God is quick, it's sharp, it's powerful and it will cut the difference between what your soul and your spirit, your spirit man born again, it's perfect, it does not commit sin, it's born of the nature of God.

  426. But your soul that's not been renewed to the word of God, and your members, your body, your flesh, and when it's not presented to God, it sins.

  427. But aren't you thankful that we have 1 John, 1, 9, and that we don't function from an old, dead spirit, that we function from a brand new, recreated spirit that looks like Jesus?

  428. And then he comes and he makes his home on the inside of us.

  429. Is this helping you?

  430. It helps you to identify?

  431. To me it kind of just like doesn't make things so blurry in your life.

  432. Right, it doesn't make things blurry, it just clears it up.

  433. You're like oh well, because I'm a threefold nature.

  434. First Thessalonians 5.23 talks about it, that God would sanctify you spirit, soul and body.

  435. So your spirit, man's the part of you that's born again.

  436. That's the part where we function from, that's where we live from.

  437. Our soul is the part where we just renew.

  438. Our soul has contact with this world, but we just renew it to the word of God.

  439. Why?

  440. So it doesn't fight with this, so we don't have war with this.

  441. You ever have God tell you to do something and you're like man, I'm going to do it.

  442. Man, the Holy Spirit spoke to me, but then 10 minutes later you're like nah, I don't know.

  443. Yeah, I'm not doing it, I'm not going to go talk to them.

  444. I mean I got my jammies on and I mean like I'm going to look stupid.

  445. See, your soul and your spirit fight with each other.

  446. We could talk about working out this.

  447. Is it, lord, I'm doing it, I'm doing this, I'm doing that.

  448. And then your soul's like we could eat popcorn and watch a movie.

  449. I'm telling you this from my own experience.

  450. What is that?

  451. It's because you haven't renewed your, you haven't put your members under and you haven't renewed your mind to the word of God.

  452. So guess what, when it's not sanctified?

  453. That's the sanctification process.

  454. It's a big fancy word and the churches love to throw it around, but it's a really simple word.

  455. It's just sanctification.

  456. It means that you're born again, but you've got to get your soul and your body to agree with what happened in your spirit.

  457. Does this help you?

  458. So praise the Lord.

  459. I have a lot of other stuff to say.

  460. I'm going to just kind of figure out what I'm going to.

  461. I have a lot of other stuff to say.

  462. I'm going to just kind of figure out what I'm going to say here.

  463. What else belongs to you?

  464. Peace.

  465. We're going to run through these really quick.

  466. Write them down.

  467. I highly recommend it.

  468. This is what belongs to you.

  469. These are not things you have to fight for or you have to try to go get Peace.

  470. John 14, 2,.

  471. Jesus said these words peace, I leave with you.

  472. Aren't you glad he didn't take it with him?

  473. Praise the Lord.

  474. Praise the Lord, redemption.

  475. Ephesians 1.7.

  476. It says whom we have?

  477. Redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

  478. Glory to God.

  479. We have redemption.

  480. You've been bought back what Adam lost, jesus got back.

  481. Aren't you thankful?

  482. Glory to God, healing, protection, protection.

  483. We're not going to read them, but Psalms 91, deuteronomy 28.

  484. Highly recommend Go read that whole chapter.

  485. It talks about the blessings and the curses and I'm telling you those curses are some raunchy stuff.

  486. It's got some nasty things like hemorrhoids and the botches of Egypt and it's disgusting.

  487. You've been redeemed from it.

  488. Go read about it.

  489. And then Galatians 3.13,.

  490. It talks about how the blessing of Abraham has come upon our life.

  491. Amen.

  492. So Deuteronomy 28,.

  493. The blessing part has come upon your life.

  494. Go read it.

  495. What belongs to you?

  496. Glory to God.

  497. And then healing.

  498. Isaiah 53, four through five surely had borne our sicknesses and carried our pains First.

  499. Peter 2, four, who, his own self, bear our sins on his own body, on the tree that we, being dead to sin, should live according to righteousness, by whose stripes we were healed.

  500. Praise the Lord.

  501. So healing belongs to the church.

  502. Righteousness I love this one.

  503. You don't earn your righteousness.

  504. Thank you, jesus, for that.

  505. I heard someone say one time a long time ago you're just as much as righteous as Billy Graham is and you're like well, that's Billy Graham.

  506. Yes, you stand on the same platform.

  507. You'll stand on the same platform in your righteousness, because it's not your righteousness, it's Christ's righteousness.

  508. But he says here in 2 Corinthians 5.21,.

  509. It says For he hath made him to be sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

  510. Praise the Lord, come on.

  511. It'll change your life when you begin to understand I made the righteousness of God in him.

  512. Praise the Lord, come on.

  513. It'll change your life when you begin to understand I'm the righteousness of God.

  514. Thank you, jesus, for that.

  515. I love this one.

  516. Access into his throne room.

  517. It's a right, it's a promise Romans 5.2,.

  518. By whom we have access, by faith, into the grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

  519. So when you come into, you can get up.

  520. You get up in the morning and you have access.

  521. Ooh, I got access.

  522. Why?

  523. Because your nature's been changed so you can do things like this.

  524. Father, I come in right now.

  525. I just lean in to you.

  526. Father, guess what Boom.

  527. You're right there.

  528. It's not hard.

  529. Shame will try to keep you out of there.

  530. But if you just say things, use your words, use your faith, and by faith, because when you know you have access, you just enter in by faith.

  531. You can come in here and stand in worship and lift your hands and enter in by faith.

  532. Why?

  533. Because you have access.

  534. Don't you love that?

  535. My kids have access.

  536. My son, who lives in a house and is not the richest person right now, has access to come into my home and take all the food that he thinks he needs.

  537. And I'll be like, where did this go?

  538. And I'm like, oh and?

  539. Or even Lucy, she's like where did all my, what are those things you love?

  540. Where did my rice cakes go?

  541. And I'm like I don't know.

  542. I feel like we just bought like four.

  543. And I'm like, oh, bo took them.

  544. Where did our bagel seasoning go?

  545. Oh, bo took it.

  546. Where did I don't know?

  547. He takes all kinds of stuff, but he has access.

  548. He has access to that.

  549. And you know, I think, okay, as much as I love Stephanie and she has access into the throne room in this church, stephanie couldn't come into my house and just take all the food she wants.

  550. I might have to question her Now.

  551. I would give her food, but she couldn't just walk in and take food.

  552. Why?

  553. Because she doesn't have the same standing as my son does with me You've got standing with the Father gives you access, that righteousness, that newborn-again creation gives you access into that throne room.

  554. Amen, all right, so peace.

  555. Let's just kind of sum this up a little bit Power, love and a sound mind.

  556. Power, acts 1a.

  557. Write these down, but you've received power.

  558. After that, the Holy Ghost has come upon you, you'll be witnesses unto me in both Jerusalem and all of Judea and all of Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth.

  559. So Jesus, right before his ascension, told them you're going to get some power.

  560. And here's what's the number one thing that power is going to help you do, or help you be a witness.

  561. Come on, we're called to be witnesses, not weird, but witnesses.

  562. The Holy Ghost won't make you weird.

  563. Some of you think it might make you weird, but he won't make you weird, but he'll allow you to be a witness.

  564. So what does that mean?

  565. It means that you are constantly looking, you're aware of things.

  566. Do you ever been somewhere?

  567. And God will just highlight someone to you.

  568. It's interesting how he'll do that and be like a person you've never like.

  569. Walmart, because that's what we have right Everything's Walmart.

  570. I saw so-and-so at Walmart and the Lord just had me witness to him.

  571. If we lived in a bigger city we could maybe have more options, but everyone goes, most everyone goes to Walmart.

  572. But you ever been there and it's just like the Lord just highlights someone to you.

  573. Will you have an opportunity in that moment to take advantage of what he's trying to do in that person's life?

  574. And here's the thing you can ignore it or you can lean into it.

  575. The Holy Spirit will give you power to be a witness.

  576. He'll open a door for you to say things, to have influence in that person's life.

  577. And you may not see the harvest in that exact moment, but you have to know that you're witnessing planted a seed and you can walk away from that moment and think these things, lord, go water that.

  578. Send someone to water it, because I know you'll bring the increase.

  579. Amen, amen, love.

  580. We're going to cover this Love.

  581. Romans 5.5.

  582. And hope maketh not a shame, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

  583. So again, the nature of God has been.

  584. We have been made a brand new creature with the nature of God.

  585. What's his nature?

  586. Love.

  587. It's been shed abroad in your heart.

  588. I have a funny story.

  589. It was actually my grandma.

  590. I never revealed that, who it was, but one time she was having marital issues and she was saying how she needed more love in her marriage.

  591. And I'm like and I was young and I shouldn't have probably done this, but I was like well, grandma, the Bible says that the love of God's been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Ghost.

  592. You don't need to pray for more love, just kind of, you know, stir up what's in you.

  593. She was like you don't know, you don't even know I need more love, I'm like okay.

  594. So for all you married people, you don't need to pray for more love.

  595. Just stir up the love that's already been put on the inside of you, amen, amen.

  596. So the love of God's been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Ghost, so you feed that love.

  597. You feed that love with scriptures and with praying in the Holy Ghost and spending time with the Father, looking him in the eyes.

  598. Amen, and then a sound mind.

  599. We've basically covered all that.

  600. Romans 12.1,.

  601. Paul beseeched people to present their bodies as a living sacrifice and then to renew their minds according to the word of God.

  602. So Paul addressed two parts of man that was not born again, but the two parts that needed to be transformed, transformed.

  603. Your spirit's been made new, but your soul and your body need to be transformed.

  604. And then 2 Corinthians 10, 4-6,.

  605. The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of this world.

  606. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

  607. We tear down arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

  608. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience as soon as your obedience is complete.

  609. So basically, what this scripture in 2 Corinthians 10, 4 through 6 is saying Not every thought that comes to you is of God.

  610. I'll finish with this.

  611. This is my last one Wrapping it up.

  612. I have a friend and she doesn't live here, but when she had her first baby she had horrible postpartum depression Horrible Like, had to go to the doctor, you know, got on medication, extremely depressed, needed a lot of help.

  613. But she said this, there's this.

  614. I was so impressed with her and I was talking to her.

  615. She said, um, she was getting ready, she was in her bathroom and she was getting ready.

  616. So when I maybe you've heard this, but this will shock you if you haven't she said that, um, she was getting ready for the day and she had her infant sitting there and this thought came to her I wonder what it would be like if I put my baby in the dryer.

  617. I know who did that, but do you know what she responded with?

  618. Oh, that wasn't me, that was the devil.

  619. I don't take that thought, boom, that was the devil.

  620. I don't take that thought Boom.

  621. Because you ask yourself how could a parent you know, we know stories of mothers who have just drove off a bridge and done things to their children and killed them, why it started with a thought In one way or another.

  622. Those moms and we're just picking on moms right now because that was a story they didn't know that that wasn't their thought and instead of knowing the scripture that says not every thought you can cast down those vain imaginations and then you replace it with the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost, hallelujah.

  623. Love wouldn't harm a child, love wouldn't harm my children.

  624. But instead of doing that, they took a thought and was like oh my God, oh my God.

  625. Shame, oh my God.

  626. Is that me?

  627. I'm a horrible person, I'm the worst person in the world.

  628. And then, all of a sudden, now the devil has access into their life because they opened up a door and they didn't understand that wasn't their thought.

  629. That's how he gains access with us, and the only way you can cast down a thought is you have to replace it with another one.

  630. So just know that you can't just sit there and not think anything.

  631. You've got to think on something.

  632. So you replace a thought with a thought and you cast it down, amen.

  633. Thank you for tuning in to the Lone Star Church Podcast and you cast it down, Amen.
