Hallelujah. In Jesus name. Amen. Amen.

Amen. Glory to God. Praise God. Well,

you can be seated.

Hallelujah.

Good to see everyone.

Glad you could make it tonight. You

know, I guess some of the schools are

still closed tomorrow and and some of

the streets are still iced over and all

that. So, but uh but um uh I I'm not

going to ask how many here are

snowbirds, but uh some of us kind of are

will probably always will be. And uh so

anyway anyway, and don't let my wife

fool you. That was her fault.

>> Exceeding abundantly. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Saturday morning, she's whining. Oh, I

was expecting snow. I thought,

hallelujah, there's nothing to shovel

out there. [laughter] I wasn't going to.

Anyway, I've noticed the the one thing

about Oklahoma is doesn't matter how

much you get. If you just wait 48 hours,

it's all going to go away anyway.

>> And it did. But anyway, so uh you know,

so if you want to, you can blame her and

Brandy. They were ganging up on us. So

they got it and we prayed it away. So

anyway, anyway, uh but I was just

thinking you we're when when uh we're

hearing about the uh the the the prayer

groups and uh the newest one that's just

starting up, the new prayer group that

we've got on the uh is the persecuted

church. Is that the terminology we're

using? The

>> persecuted church. Uh I'm glad we're

doing that. Um,

you know, when when in the few days ago

when we were talking about, yeah, let's

let's add another prayer group for the

folks that want to be able to have the

time to do that and and want to get

involved in praying for the, you know,

the persecuted church. I think we have

no idea. No idea. I mean, if you just

listen to I don't take a lot of time to

listen to the news because, you know,

I'm not real sure how much of it's

accurate. Uh, I don't know. um you know,

but uh the the masses of people that

have have lost their lives in in uh uh

Iran and and there's so many things

around the world. We're we're so blessed

here. Um it's hard to put it into words.

We're so so God just has taken such good

care of us. But unto whomsoever much is

given of him shall be much required.

God, you know, God's God holds us

accountable. And the one thing, yeah, we

can give. Uh there's things we can do.

We were just, Pastor Janet and I were

just talking uh earlier today and

there's a a situation that we're aware

of right now on a really good note that

uh where there's a there's a place I

mean [clears throat] kind of out uh way

out in the what I call the regions

beyond and uh they have the opport they

have the opportunity to to start putting

up churches. The people are there, the

groups are already there and they've got

opportunities and was how many was it?

six different villages.

It's

>> either five or six villages for a little

bit of nothing. They can they can put up

a church with a you know, you know,

wooden frame, but a metal uh ceiling and

a and a a

c a cement floor. Okay. And you know,

and they can put I think there's five or

six of them they can do. And I'm

thinking they're just thrilled to be

able to have a building to meet in. Then

I thought, we're coming here tonight and

when it's uh you know, 38 degrees

outside, we come in here and we got heat

>> and uh you know, so we're we're blessed.

But you know, I was thinking about

earlier before service and then we got

talking about the you know, having a

group praying praying for the the uh

persecuted church and they're out there.

There are places in the world where uh

we have no idea what people are dealing

with and what it's costing them to serve

God and how you know there's there's

they're paying a price to do that. And I

just had I was flashing back to a it had

to have been I don't know maybe four

years ago where something like that

maybe five. We were pastor Jan and I

were going somewhere. We were heading

out somewhere on a trip and u we're at

the Tulsa airport and there was this

young is getting more and more relative

all the time. There was this young

couple there with a little girl that she

had to be what about maybe three, four,

no

maybe two. I'm close. Anyway, and uh and

she, you know, she's running around

having a good time. Mom and dad are

there and everybody's waiting. We're all

waiting to get on the flight and we're

on the same flight, I think, headed for

Dallas if I remember right. And I'm not

sure how how it all got started. I think

it was probably my wife got talking to

him. Uh she's the social side of the

family. And and uh yeah. Anyway, uh

anyway, got talking to him and then they

were sitting right across the the aisle

from us um on the flight to Dallas and

and uh they got talking and so finally

found out what they were doing is nice

sharp young couple. Don't know if

they're going on a vacation or

something. They finally said what

they're doing is they were they were

flying to I don't know where it was but

somewhere in a South Sea island. Um and

I'm thinking for a vacation or

something. No, there he said what are

you going to do? He said, "Well, we're

going to go down there." He said, "I'm

going to set up a place for my family

that's safe where my wife and my and I'm

goodness, haven't they got a didn't we

hear they've got another little they

have two now." So, he he set up a place.

He's working with an organization uh

somewhere close to here, I think. And

they had two They've got two little ones

now. He he [clears throat] got he they

got a house. He's got a place for his

wife and the little ones in this

wherever this island is that they ended

up on. But he uh he left he left them.

He leaves them there and then he heads

out to the islands to go visit the

persecuted churches. And I thought,

that's what this guy's doing. He's

trusting God to take care of his wife

and his little children and he's going

to places nobody else wants to go. And I

thought, that's just amazing.

And uh last we knew he's still doing

that. This is this is a pioneer guy

that's going to find the people that are

being persecuted and and and uh you

know, the governments are going after

them and the religious world's going

after him. he's and he's going after

them and but I thought, yeah, those are

the folks we need to be praying for

them. You know, we may not be able to go

help them. We may, you know, maybe we

can financially do some things at times.

We'll we'll see what they're doing, but

one thing we know we can do, the most

powerful thing we can do is pray for

them.

>> And so, uh so I'm glad we're doing that

that uh prayer group for the persecuted

church. And it will make a difference.

>> Hallelujah. Praise God. Well, um, if you

got your Bibles with you, and I'm sure

you do, you have some capacity of a

Bible. If you'll open that up to, um,

let's go back where we were a couple

weeks ago to, um, Luke the 13th chapter.

And, uh, we can go in any any one of

about four or five different directions

here. We'll kind of see which direction

we go, but we'll start out here, uh,

Luke the 13th chapter. And uh you know,

we we've talked about the fact that it's

it's going to do us some good to go back

through and find the miracles of Jesus

ministry on this earth. He didn't have

any healings, no signs, no wonders, no

demonstrations, no miracles from the

time he came into this earth, took on

flesh and dwelt among us. We see him uh

when he's born. We see him when he when

he's probably, we don't know, maybe

around two years old when the the wise

men finally located him. We see him when

he's 12 years old uh in the temple

asking questions, learning. And then of

course we see him at that point. We see

him he just he just disappears at that

point from us. And then we see him u

when he uh uh John the Baptist is out

there, you know, he's baptizing and he

said, "There's one coming mightier than

I. I'm not worthy to lose his shoes." Um

he he'll baptize you with the Holy Ghost

and fire. And Jesus shows up and he

said, "Behold the lamb of God that takes

away the sins of the world." and he

baptizes Jesus and then Jesus comes up

out of the water praying the heavens

open the spirit of God descends and

bodily form like a dove upon him remains

upon him. God gives him the spirit

without measure. You know we we know the

basics of of the story there. Okay. We

we know from the scriptures uh let this

mind be in you which also in Christ

Jesus who uh being in the form of of God

thought it not robbery to be equal with

God but made himself of no reputation

stripped himself of his mighty power and

glory became one of us so he could

purchase us so he could redeem us. So we

we see Jesus um in that place and um

he launches out into his ministry and we

said we we know what we do know for sure

is Matthew the 4th chapter 23rd verse

Jesus went round about their cities and

villages teaching in their synagogues

preaching the gospel of the kingdom and

healing every manner of sickness and

every manner of disease among the

people. Matthew the 9th chapter 35th

verse. Same thing again. He says Jesus

uh um said he uh he went round about

their cities and villages teaching in

their synagogues preaching the gospel of

the kingdom healing every manner of

sickness and every manner of disease

among the people. Of course we know

that's when he looked out he saw people

uh uh had compassion on them because he

saw they were scattered as sheep without

a shepherd. And he turned his turns to

his disciples and he said the harvest is

plenty. If the harvest was plenteous

2,000 years ago when Jesus in the flesh

walked on this earth when I don't know

how many people were on planet earth

maybe maybe half a billion. I have no

idea. But now we're at what 8.2 billion

or something like that. If the harvest

was plenteous back then think what it

must look like today. Okay. It doesn't

get more it doesn't get more ready for

harvest. It's just a whole lot more of

it. So anyway,

I said the harvest is plenteous but the

laborers are few. what do you do? Pray

ye therefore the Lord of the harvest

that he'd send out thrust forth into the

harvest uh into his harvest laborers.

And so uh so anyway, we go back through

there and and uh but Jesus ministry, if

we follow his ministry around, um

goodness, he he went places. There were

places he went everybody and there were

great multitudes came to him and as many

as touched him were made whole, for they

went virtue out of him and healed them

all. There were places there there were

times everybody got healed. There were

times when people he came the power of

the Lord was present to heal them and

none of them got healed because he was

there with the power to heal him but

they wouldn't take it. So we see we see

things along the way there. But now in

following Jesus ministry

uh if we look back here Luke the 13th

chapter verse 10 uh it says here really

the beginning of Jesus ministry said if

Jesus was in the uh synagogue on the

Sabbath day what was he doing? What was

he doing? Was he healing the sick,

cleansing the the leper? Raising the

dead, casting out devils. What was he

doing? He's teaching. He was teaching.

He was teaching. Never underestimate the

power of the word of God.

>> Now, I don't know about you, I can go

back a few years now to when I first uh

really came here. Brother Hagen had just

just started Rama. It was 1974. It was

would have been probably in September. I

showed up here came to go to school and

I didn't know where I was going, what I

was doing. I didn't know what a Bible

school really was all about. Didn't know

who Brother Hagen was. But but I came

to, you know, to get in the school and

and and the first thing they did is

begin. I mean, it was four hours a day,

five days a week, and we were learning

about the word of God. And nobody had

ever told me that before. I didn't know.

I didn't know to find it myself. But the

uh the fact that God said what he meant

meant what he said. The word works. He

hastens watches over his word to perform

it. Probably the the the biggest change

in my life was when I found out that I

can read that book and if I'll believe

it, God will do it.

>> Not a man that he should lie. Not the

son of man that he should repent. has he

he said it and he'll do it. He spoke it

and he'll make it good. But if you go

back through now, it's interesting

because here we are oh close to what

about 50 years later and and uh there's

much of the church world today and I I

don't mean this wrong. I think we just

need to be aware of how things are

going. There's much of the church world

today that doesn't seem to have the the

uh the revelation of the revelation.

[laughter]

Don't seem to really have the concept of

how powerful the word is. Okay. Might

carry it around. Might have a Bible,

might not have a Bible. I don't know.

Now, you can have it in your watch, you

can have it in your phone, you can have

it in your computer, you can have it

anywhere. But the bottom line is if do

you get it in your heart? And if you go

back through there, we see where

uh over here Luke the 13th chapter verse

10, Jesus was in the synagogue on the

Sabbath day. He's teaching. He's

teaching. Well, we know that if you go

back through to Luke the 4th chapter,

okay, this is the 13th chapter. back up

to the fourth chapter around verse 17.

Um, and he returned. It's after the

baptism, you know, in Jordan. John

baptized him and he came out. He went

into the synagogue, I'm sorry, went out

into the wilderness. He was tempted of

the devil and um, uh, spent the time

there 40 days.

We know the whole story there. But it

says, "And he came out in Luke chapter 4

Luke 4 · chapter mention

around verse 17 it says and and he

returned in the power of the spirit to

Galilee and his fame spread through all

the region roundabout and he taught and

there he what he taught." See if we'll

just follow through. There were times

Jesus walked up and just delivered a a

miracle to somebody. Just what you and I

I'd call a freebie. Just walked up and

delivered one. The fifth chapter of the

of John's gospel went to the to the uh

pool of Bethesda. Here's a man been sick

38 years. Jesus walks up there, knew

he'd been out a long time in that case.

He said, 'Is it your will to be healed?

He said, 'I can't.' Jesus said, my

wording. He said, well, get up and walk

anyway. Didn't lay hands on him. Didn't

anoint him with oil. Didn't He just

said, "Just get up and walk." Guy rolled

up his bed, walked away whole. Didn't

even know who Jesus was. The next day,

the religious leaders found him walking,

carrying his bed on the Sabbath and

said, "You can't do that." And he said,

"I can't help it. The guy that healed me

told me to." They said, "Who healed

you?" He said, "I the man," Bible said

the man whisked not who it was. For

Jesus had conveyed himself away, a

multitude being in that place. He didn't

even know who told him. All he knew is

somebody walked up said, "Get up, roll

up your bed, and walk away whole." After

38 years of being sick, he walks away

completely healed.

So, we see that. But we notice in there,

there are times, like I said, maybe one

out of four in Jesus earthly ministry.

There were times when he would just walk

up and just deliver a miracle to

somebody. There is this sovereign side

to God. I almost don't like to use the

term because it's been so misused over

the years, but there is a side to God

where he activates and initiates a

miracle at the direction of the father.

So we see that but as a general rule

Jesus ministry is to teach, preach and

heal. Teach, preach and heal. So anyway,

the fourth chapter of Luke's gospel, he

returns in the power of the spirit to

Galilee. His fame spread through all the

region roundabout. He taught in their

synagogues being glorified of all and uh

went into the synagogue on the Sabbath

day and stood up for to read as his

custom was. His custom was to go to

church. You're in a good group. Okay.

His custom was to go to church. I'm sure

even if it was snowing. Anyway, he uh as

his custom was, he went into the

synagogue, stood up for it to read, and

there was delivered unto him the book of

the prophet Isaiah. When he opened the

book, he found the place where it was

written. What's he doing? First thing

he's doing is he's taking this group to

the word. He's just come out of the

Jordan. He's he's been baptized in the

Jordan. He's come through the

wilderness. He's he's he's conquered the

enemy there. Defied what the devil

everything tried tried to conquer him

doing. And he comes out there and he

goes into the synagogue,

stands up to read there, and and first

thing, what do they do? They they

there's delivered to him the book, the

book of the prophet Isaiah. When he

opened the book, he found the place

where it was written, "The spirit of the

Lord is upon me." What's he doing? He's

telling him who he is.

>> Yeah.

>> Okay. The spirit of the Lord's upon me

because he's anointed me to preach the

gospel to the poor. Set me to heal the

brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the

captives, recovering of sight to the

blind, set at liberty them that are

bruised, preach the acceptable year of

the Lord, we might say the year of

Jubilee.

And he closed the book. He gave it again

to the minister, sat down, and he said,

and the eyes of all all them that were

in the synagogue were fasted upon him.

And he began to say to him, "This this

day is this scripture fulfilled in your

ears." So he just, what did he do? He he

he declared his ministry. Said, "Any

part of that you want, you can have it.

It's on me. I can do it today, this day,

these this this scripture is fulfilled

in your ears." So he told him that and

they got so excited they took took him

out, tried to throw him off a cliff.

Didn't like it. Okay. But anyway, we

find Jesus ministry and and everything

came back to

I'm going to take a turn a little

different direction here for a few

minutes. Everything came back to the

power of the word. Everything came back

to the power of the word. Think about

that. When Jesus walked on the earth, we

had the living word. We They didn't have

the the only written word they have was

Old Testament scriptures. Even when Paul

went, remember when he preached all

night, preached till midnight, the guy

fell out of the window, fell out from

the third floor, went over there and

he's dead. Paul went over, raised him

up, and then preached till morning. You

have the dead raised, you can preach

till morning. [laughter]

But, you know, that's what he did. And

and uh but ever stop and think about it.

He didn't have the Pauline epistles

to teach him. They hadn't been written

yet. Paul, he's just he's just been to

the third heaven and gotten things

unlawful to be uttered. He didn't have

all that. He's just given him what word

he's got.

Like Pastor Janice said, you don't have

to have the whole Bible. You don't have

to have the whole Bible to get healed.

You don't have to know the whole Bible

to get your needs met. One verse will

get you saved.

>> Yeah.

>> One verse will get you healed. One verse

can get you blessed.

>> The more you know, the better. But one

verse can get the That's how powerful

the word of God is. But now I'm going

back through there.

Um

we can we can see where where um

Jesus his ministry was to teach, preach

and heal. First thing he's doing is

delivering the word of God to people.

You find that all through his ministry.

There are times when he just deliver a

miracle to somebody. But about three

times out of four, he went to get

somebody healed and he either said or

inferred it was on their faith. And

faith only comes by

>> hearing and hearing by the word of God.

So, he had to give people something to

believe. That's what he's doing here in

the 13th chapter of Luke's gospel. Says

that he uh was in the synagogue and and

and uh on the Sabbath day and he's

teaching. What's he doing? He's giving

people something to believe. And if

they'll believe it, they'll get it.

Okay? I mean, you can go back to the

fifth chapter of Luke's gospel. And he

went into the house there and the place

was filled with scribes, Pharisees,

doctors of the law, and uh said, "The

power of the Lord's present to heal

them." But you don't see any of them

getting healed. Why? They're all trying

to catch him saying something wrong.

But he, what'd he do? He just kept

teaching. He knew, excuse me, he knew if

they didn't get it, I'll just keep

teaching. I'll teach, preach, and heal.

If they don't get healed, I'm going to

back up and start over. I'll teach,

preach, and heal. What if they don't get

healed? I'll back up and start over.

What if they don't get healed? I'll back

up and start over. Went to his own

hometown. Mark chapter 6:5. Went to his

own hometown. there he could do no

mighty work. Think it didn't say

wouldn't said he couldn't.

Somebody came up to me after a service

one time. I'd used that verse years

years ago now. Somebody came up after

the service said, "You misqued the

Bible." I said, "Really?"

Okay. Where was it? He said, "You Mark

Mark 6:5

6:5. You you you said in there that

Jesus uh said you said in there he could

do no mighty works." That was Jesus. He

could do anything. It's just that he

wouldn't. I said, "I'll get back with

you." I went and found every book, every

commentary, every diction. I found

everything I could get. And everywhere I

found that it is exactly and there he

could do no mighty works. It wasn't that

he wouldn't, it's that he couldn't.

>> That he couldn't. You'll never find

where Jesus wouldn't.

>> But you'll find places where he

couldn't. There he could do no mighty

work. Say he le laid his hands a few

upon a few sick folk and and healed

them. Couldn't get couldn't do it. Okay.

So what did he do?

Goes into his own hometown. Okay. And

there he could do no mighty work. Say he

laid his hands upon a few people with

minor ailments. Well, he didn't quit and

give up and leave and shake the dust off

his feet. Bible said he went round about

their cities and villages teaching.

Okay. Well, I don't know about you, but

that has helped me so many times through

the years that if things aren't working

right, I know the best thing I can do is

go back to the Bible.

Best thing I can do is go back to the

scriptures. Best thing I can do is go

back to the word. Best thing I can do

for me is to go back and find what the

Bible says and get that working in me.

Yeah. I mean, go let's just take we'll

take another side trip while we're here.

We've got, like I said, till the

rapture. Now,

if you go back through uh uh Mark's

gospel, fourth chapter, we've got this

parable Jesus is teaching his disciples,

and he talks about how I'll do the short

course on this. He talks about how um a

sewer went out to sew and uh what's he

doing? He's giving them all the facets

of the kingdom of God. A sewer went out

to sew and he sowed seed and it went

some some fell by the wayside and the

birds of the air came and ate it up.

Didn't produce. And he sowed some and it

went among the stones, the rocks. But

what happened? It didn't have any depth

of earth. So when the sun came up, it

withered up and dried and it didn't

produce anything. Okay? So you got fell

by the wayside, no fruit. Fell among

rocks and stones, got no fruit. So then

then he said, "And some of it fell among

thorns.

It fell among thorns and it got ready to

bear some fruit, but the thorns grew up

and choked it and it ended up being

nonproductive."

So you got three kinds so far where the

word didn't get anything done.

And then he said, "Then there was the

fourth kind where the the seed fell on

good ground and it brought forth fruit,

some 30, some some 60, and some

100fold." And so he's teaching them

about the power. What the whole thing is

about the power of the word of God. He's

he's getting this across to his

disciples, which in turn, they're

supposed to be getting this through to

us. And this is what this is where the

church has got to go in the days to

come. We're going to come into the

greatest move of God the planet earth

has ever seen. But it will not be apart

from the word.

>> It's not going to be instead of the

word. It's going to be because of the

word.

In fact, you go a little further in that

same fourth chapter. Jesus says to I

love this place. Jesus says to his

disciples, I I have to look it up, tell

you which verse it is, but he said, "If

you don't get this parable,

>> if you don't get this parable, how are

you going to get all the rest?

Do you hear something about that? He

said, "If if you don't get this one,

what is this one?" The sewer sews the

word. The sewer sews the seed. Some fell

on uh you know uh basically where it

didn't produce. Birds got it. Some fell

among the rocks, it didn't produce. Some

fell among thorns, it didn't produce.

Some fell on good ground and it did

produce. Some 30, some 60, and some

100fold. He said, "Now," he said, "if

you don't get this one, how are you

going to get the rest of them?" I looked

at that years ago. So, I looked at that

and I thought, you can turn that coin

over and say, if you don't get this one,

how you going to get the rest? Or you

could say, if you do get this one,

you're going to get all the rest. Jesus

gave us the core to understanding all of

his parables. And then the next verse,

he says, the swer sws the word.

Everything in the kingdom works this

way. You can read that whole fourth

chapter of Mark's gospel and you'll find

out this is the way everything works.

Everything works by sewer sewing the

seed. Sewer sewing the seed. It only

works.

It's It's the same sewer. He didn't have

four different sewers. He had one guy

doing the sewing. He didn't have four

different kinds of seed. It was one kind

of seed. What was the difference?

The ground. One guy told me one time, he

said, "I guess I'm just bad ground." I

said, "No, you choose what kind of

ground you are.

>> There's there's no such thing as good

ground, bad ground, ugly ground. No, you

choose which kind of ground. Why? You

either do something with the seed you

hear or you don't. But if you'll hear

it, it'll work for you. But that is the

difference is what do you do with the

seed you hear?

>> And if you're not hearing it, how in the

world can you expect it to work for you?

You know, every seed,

what does it do? It produces what? After

its own kind. Well, I I know I I know

the best way to get some fruit in my

life is to find what God's word says

about what I need.

That's the way prayer works. That's the

beginning part. Go back through there.

Find what God says about what you need.

Get that working on the inside of you.

Take it to the father. You ask God for

it. And if you got if you if you abide

in him and his word abides in you,

everything comes back to the word.

Proverbs 4th chapter, same thing. We're

still we're going to get back to Luke 13

in a minute. Um Proverbs, same thing.

Everything comes back to the power of

the word. Okay. If I'm if I don't take

time to get it in me, then it's good.

I'm going to have a hard time getting it

working for me. It'll work for me. It'll

work through me, but it's got to get in

me first. That's the basis for it right

there. Proverbs chapter 4 verse 20. My

Proverbs 4:20

son, attend to my words. Everything

comes back to the power of the word.

Everything comes back to the power of

the word. the you know the here with the

the the the little ones the the

children's ministry the toddlers what

are we doing we're making sure they get

word doesn't matter how young young you

are you can get it working in you

>> Pastor Janet I got saved at four filled

with the Holy Ghost at 8

I don't know what I was doing at four

and eight but it wasn't going to church

and getting saved and filled with the

Holy Ghost

but it was working for her she was in

church it was working in her it works in

kids, but it it only works if we get it

in them. The sewer sews the seed. The

sewer sews the word. The job for the

sewer, all the sewer's got to do is

throw it out in the right place.

>> And then everybody chooses, what am I?

Am I going to be rocky soil, thorny

soil? Am I going to be good? So, what

kind of soil am I? We won't go into that

tonight. Another time we'll go back

through this. But you go back through

there. How do I determine what kind of

soil I'm I am? If you go back through

there, you'll find each one is the sewer

sews the seed, but the this first kind

of ground, somebody didn't hear it.

Second kind of ground, somebody did not

hear it. Third kind of ground, somebody

did not hear it. Fourth kind of ground,

the seed went out there and somebody

heard the word.

The difference of what I get in my life

is not just what's sown at me, around

me, to me. difference in my life is what

I do with what I do have sown to me.

>> What do I do? And that's not just going

to church.

>> That's having a Bible. That's have what

whatever I, you know, I mean, I've got

I don't know probably a couple hundred

um uh messages on my phone. These phones

are amazing. When I get in my car

though, I plug it in, turn it on, and I

get Brother Ostein, I get Brother Hagen,

I get I get somebody in there. I want

somebody to be feeding me something. If

I can't I I can't read while I'm

driving. My wife has asked me not to.

[laughter]

Just don't don't do that. So anyway, so

so I can't read while I'm driving, but I

can sure listen. I can get it going for

me. And it's amazing how that'll stick

with you. You get it in you, it'll work

through you. So anyway, well, let's go a

little further. Let's we'll we'll move

on from there. But anyway, back to the

here. Okay. Luke chapter 13

Luke 13 · chapter mention

and verse 10. Uh and he was teaching and

he was teaching

he was teaching in one of the synagog

synagogues on the Sabbath.

Jesus went about teaching, preaching,

and healing. If he had to teach and

preach to get people healed, then we

need to put ourselves on the receiving

end of that. And we have to be taught,

preach to, and then we and if we're not

getting healed, go back and fix that. If

things aren't working, there's a repair.

What What did I don't think I finished

that over there in Proverbs 4th chapter

verse 20. My son, attend to my words.

Everything's about the power of the word

of God. Everything's about about the

power of the word of God. Okay.

Goodness. I mean, when I first got over

walking with God, started getting some

things straightened out in my life, in

my thinking, when I started doing all

that. Um, you know, it's just amazing

what'll happen if you walk with God. And

you and if you you walk the walk and if

you talk the talk, we were we were scary

people in the early days of what we call

the word of faith movement. We were

scary people. Now, none of you were, I'm

sure. But, you know, we were confession

monitors.

We we we tried to straighten everybody

out, you know, but the bottom line is I

remember we, you know, that was just

part of what we did at school. We'd we'd

get to school, we'd go an hour early to

school, you know, five days a week, we'd

get there early, go and do some praying,

and we're all talking the word. We're

all talking the word. We we got hold of

the importance of the word, and it

changed the course of our lives. just

totally changed the but it all started

about getting it started by getting the

word on the inside of us. Okay, we just

absorbed it. All right, you know, we you

know, we had a few things mixed up along

the way, but we did pretty good.

But anyway, back here, my son, attend to

my word. Incline thine ear unto my

sayings. Proverbs 4:20. My son, uh uh my

Proverbs 4:20

son, attend attend to my word. Put my

word first place in your life. Make it

the most important possession you have.

My son, attend to my words. Incline

thine ear unto my sayings.

Let them not depart from thine eyes.

Keep them, guard them in the midst of

thine heart. For they my words are life

unto those that find them. Health,

healing, and medicine to all their

flesh. I I have a cure for anything.

It's life. It's health. It's healing.

It's medicine. It's all It's all in the

book. If I'll just take if I'll do my

part, God's always going to do his. But

it all comes back to the word. It all

comes back to the power of the word.

Okay? Goodness. When when the Word of

Faith movement as a movement started to

explode, all of a sudden books

everywhere. There were books on the the

believer's authority, right and wrong

thinking, the uh what faith is, how

faith works, how to turn your faith

loose. There were study courses on

faith, study courses on healing, study

courses on prayer. I mean, it was God

was blessing us by just inundating us

with the word. You go get it anywhere.

Bible uh or uh uh bookstores, Christian

bookstores raised up everywhere. You

know, when I first started walking with

God, you couldn't find Christian

bookstores. And when you did, there

wasn't much full gospel there. I went to

look at a bookstore at a particular

Bible school and the guy that was with

friend of mine, he said, "One thing

you'll notice about this place, we don't

let any of that tongue stuff in our

bookstore." Well, I knew that's what not

the one I was looking for to to go to

school.

But everything starts out with the power

of the word. Everything starts out with

and if I don't like the results I'm

getting in my life, I can fix that. I

can fix that. It's not God can fix it.

God can fix it, but he's got to have my

help. I need to do something. I need to

get word in. What What is it I need?

Well, I need healing. Well, you got lots

of healing.

You know, somebody said one time, one

guy said, "I don't know. I don't get it.

I don't I only see healing maybe one or

two times in the Bible." I said, "Dear

Lord, I see one. Every page in the Bible

has healing in it somewhere." Okay, but

I I you know, I need my needs met. I

need my bills paid. Well,

there's scriptures all through the

Bible. I can take care of that if I'll

just do my part. God's always right.

He's not a man that he should like.

Not the son of man that he should

repent. He said it, he'll do it. He

spoke it. He'll make it good. If I just

engage myself with what he's asked me to

do, if I'll just feed on the word, if

I'll take time every day to feed on what

he has to say, what does God say about

my situation? You won't find anything in

life. I couple times over the years, I'd

find something. And I'd say, 'Lord, I

found something you didn't cover in your

word.' Well,

I asked him about it and he was very

nice about it. First thing he did was

take me back and showed me about four

places where he did cover that. It was

always in there. I just hadn't found it.

He's covered everything we'll need. He's

got everything that the full supply is

in his in his word. So anyway, my son,

attend to my word. Incline thine ear

unto my sayings. Let them not depart

from thine eyes. Keep them in the midst

of thine heart, for they my words are

life unto those that find them, health,

healing, and medicine to all their

flesh. I got a pill that'll cure

anything that ails you.

It's a gospel.

>> Yeah, you knew that was coming. But

anyway,

anyway, uh I need to move along here. We

won't go much further. Oh goodness. Not

sure where these sessions go. They they

moved a little too fast. Anyway, we look

back here in in Luke chapter 13 verse uh

where uh Jesus was in the synagogue

on the Sabbath day and he's teaching. It

says in verse 11, "Behold, there was a

woman that had a spirit of infirmity 18

years." You know, I noticed he said

there's a woman that had a spirit of

infirmity. Uh we're not going to get

very far tonight. We'll just go a little

further and then we'll pick this up

another time. But he said there was a

woman. He's in the synagogue. Isn't it

amazing? Here's a woman with a spirit of

infirmity. She wasn't just sick. There

was a there was a devil, a spirit of

infirmity and a a spirit that was

afflicting her physical body. And she's

in church. You know, devils go to

church.

It's just we ought to find them and make

sure we take care of them when they do.

But anyway, uh and and behold, there's a

woman that had a spirit spirit of

infirmity for what 18 years. Uh you

know, I notice in there sometimes God

puts numbers in there. And I think I I

think you can take this or leave it. I

think sometimes he put numbers in so we

know there's nothing too big for God.

Sick for 18 years. Think about that.

She's bowed over together. We read on

there. She had a spirit of infirmity.

Okay. 18 years was bowed over together

could in no wise lift up herself. She's

not just She's not just in pain. She's

bound over and she can't straighten up.

You ever see anybody see somebody like

that? She can't straighten up for but

this is not like man I've been having

trouble for a week. No. 18 years.

I think God puts numbers in so we know

don't don't pull God out of this thing.

She's been sick for 18 years. Did not

bother God. Over there in the fifth

chapter, Mark's gospel when you or uh

John's gospel, when you see the man at

the pool of Bethesda, okay, you look

back in there, he'd been sick. He was

there 38 years. I don't know what he

had. Whatever he had, he was sick for 38

years. But it didn't matter. You've got

the woman with the issue of blood. Mark

Mark 5 · chapter mention

chapter 5, certain woman had an issue of

blood tw 12 years. Suffered many things

of many physicians. spent all she had

nothing better but rather grew worse.

She's sick 12 years. Okay. The man at

the at the pool of Bethesda sick 38

years. You've got this woman with the

spirit of infirmity sick. She's sick for

18 years. That's a long time to be sick.

Long time to be bowed over together.

Long time to be in pain. Long time to

sit by a a pool out there waiting to get

in knowing you're probably never going

to get in because somebody's already

somebody's already going to get get

there ahead of you. But he did he does

it anyway. Woman with the issue of

blood. Okay. 12 years she hears about

Jesus. She comes crawling through the

press behind, touches the hem of his

garment. Power flows out of him into

her. Immediately she felt in her body

she's healed of that plague. Okay. So

you've got these numbers. I think God

put those in there because we what

happens is sometimes uh

sometimes people get a sickness in their

body and and and it's there so long it

becomes a part of them. They can't see

themselves being any better. Don't feel

better. Have done everything. Been to

every doctor, tried every medication,

every medicine. Goodness, you know, if

you look through the internet, you're

going to find 500 different ways to deal

with whatever you're dealing with.

Probably none of them worked. I don't

know. But there's always going to be all

kinds of things out there and there are

people suffering with sickness and

disease and just know what and what

happens is it be it gets in their soul.

It gets in their mind. They can't see

themselves free of that. They know

they're going to spend the rest of their

life like that. I know we've been in

times and meetings over the past where

where uh the Holy Ghost would have us,

you know, minister to somebody and say,

"No, you're not going to spend the rest

of your life this way. It's not up to

the devil." And it's really not up to

God. It's up to you. You're going to

you're going to take this, you're going

to leave it, you're going to do

something about it or not. But if you

want to, you can do something. And you

don't have to spend the rest of your

life like this.

>> But people have to get that working in

them. And I think Jesus, I think it's in

there 38 years, 12 years, 18 years. So

people know it doesn't matter how long

it's been here. It it does it still

isn't mine. Not my sickness, not my

disease, not my infirmity. It may be on

my body, but it doesn't belong to me.

Jesus already paid for me.

>> So anyway, so this woman, okay, behold,

there's this woman, she's got a she's in

the synagogue, she's in church, okay,

but she's got a spirit of infirmity.

We'll take a few minutes on this one.

We'll pick up another time. Um,

there are certain sicknesses and

diseases that are produced and forced by

evil spirits. Okay? And and what happens

is I mean we see in the scriptures that

Jesus he'd minister to somebody with a

deaf and dumb spirit. See spirits have

certain personalities and if they can

get hold of a human they can get that

working in their body. If there's a a

deaf and dumb spirit sometimes there's

somebody that'll if if there's a spirit

that'll work in their life it'll stop

their hearing and their speaking.

But then here this one is there's she

had a spirit of infirmity.

Okay. Something is messing with her

health, but it's been there for 18

years. But we know it's a spirit. Okay.

Well, you know, now some people Oh, oh,

well, no. You know, not one's not more

difficult for God than the other.

>> So good.

>> Okay. Doesn't matter if it's a uh it

doesn't matter if it's a chemical, if

it's a physical physical, doesn't matter

if it's a mo doesn't matter what it is.

God can take care of any one of those.

Doesn't matter how long it's been there.

Doesn't matter how bad it is. It doesn't

matter what the medical science

community has said. It doesn't make any

difference. God is still, oh God, thou

art my God.

>> Early will I seek thee. It's still able

to take care of that. Okay. Um I I

remember, did I say I was going to quit?

I think I did.

>> We'll go a few more minutes. I remember

a couple different things. We were uh I

heard uh minister say one time he was

doing a meeting

and um there was a uh I think he's

actually pastoring a church and uh it

was had healing services ministered to

the sick and uh um there was a uh

there was a young lady I think it was

family in his church their daughter if I

remember right this is years and years

ago now um but uh she had trouble in her

lungs and they took her in to have

everything checked. This was probably in

the 30s, 40s maybe. And uh checked and

they said, "You have uh cancer in in one

lung." Well, you know, it'd be bad

enough today, but back in those days

there anything anybody could do. The

only thing they could do probably would

be to remove the lung. And they said,

"There's nothing else we can do except

to remove one of the lungs. You have a

cancer in one of your lungs." She said,

"Just give me a couple days. there's a

meeting going at our church. I'm going

to give me a couple days. I want to pray

about this and see what to do because

they were going to have her go in and

remove a lung. Said, "Uh, just give me a

couple days." Well, she was, you know,

she went to the meeting they had the

church and she she got in every healing

line they had. She had hands laid on

every time they had the opportunity to.

And uh

after a week or so, she went back in.

Doctors checked again. And they said,

"We're sorry to tell you, but in that

time you waited, it went over into the

other lung. It's in both lungs. We could

have taken out one lung and you could

have lived like that, but you can't live

like this. There's no way we can take

both lungs out. There's nothing we can

do. You know, you just might as well get

ready to go. There's nothing we can do.

She's young. She's But she's got cancer.

It's gone into started in one lung, went

over into the other lung. It's in both

lungs. Nothing nothing medical science

could do particularly in that day. Now

today, I don't know. Probably would

depend on the situation, but this many

years ago, nothing anybody could do.

Well, she said, "I'm not going to give

up." So, they they had a meeting that

just kept going at the church, and she

kept going to the services, and she kept

getting worse and worse and worse and

worse. This is growing in her body. It's

in her respiratory system. And um but

every time there was a healing line, you

never get never get discouraged.

If you want to get in every healing

line, that's fine. But if you want to

get in every healing line, don't get

discouraged if something done happened

the first 10 times, whatever. I'm not

saying you should keep doing that. But

what I'm saying is don't don't get don't

let anything discourage you. She, you

know, I mean, you know, this lady is

sick for 18 years,

but Jesus saw her, called her to him,

and she came to the front. And of

course, we know she got instantly

healed. But now um in this case this

[snorts] young lady kept getting worse

and worse and worse and worse and um the

minister said that he was it was a long

extended meeting they were doing. He

said they uh

she came up and got in the line and he

he said I had laid hands on this young

lady so many times. So many times. I

know what that's like. I know I've we've

been in meetings where, you know, if

you're there for a week, you laid hands

on somebody at least every night and

they don't get any better. And it's

like, I I don't know what else to do. If

the Holy Ghost doesn't tell you what to

do, sometimes you don't know what to do.

You just keep doing all you know to do

and encouraging people to get them to

use their faith for something, get it

working somewhere, get their words lined

up. So anyway, but said uh all of a

sudden,

thank God for the gifts of the spirit. I

want to get past some of these things on

healing. I want to get over and start

ministering. I want us to start sharing

some on Wednesday nights on the on gifts

of the spirit. Okay? People say, "We've

been praying and praying and praying and

praying to get that." You don't get

gifts of the spirit by praying. You get

it by teaching.

>> Okay? Why? because they come, you know,

desire spiritual gifts, covet earnestly,

the best gifts. Those things happen not

because we pray. They happen because

we're hungry.

>> Yeah.

>> Another another subject. But anyway, um

so

this young lady got in the healing line.

She'd been in every line they'd had. I

seems like the meeting went maybe two or

three weeks and it basically she's just

she's just about on her last breath.

minister said all of a sudden the Holy

Ghost manifested

just all and you can't make that happen.

You can't give yourself discerning of

spirits.

Somebody says what discerning of spirits

is when you discern you see in the realm

of spirits. You might see angels, you

might see devils, you might you might

see Jesus, but discerning of spirits is

when God gives you the ability to see in

that other realm. And you know if if you

could give that to yourself, we'd be

doing it every service.

But he's in the middle of the service

and all of a sudden all of a sudden he

said it was like a a cloud came rolling

in. The glory cloud came in when that

happened. He said all of a sudden I

looked at this young lady and I saw this

little implike creature hanging off of

her left lung

a demon. He said I didn't know that's

what was causing this thing. See if you

don't know you don't know. I didn't know

that's what it was. But he said I looked

and I saw this little imp like thing

hanging off her left lung. That's where

that all started. And he said, 'When I

saw that thing, he said all of a sudden

to to to see it is when you know what to

do. Sometimes we don't know what to do

because we haven't seen

when you know you can go.

So he said he said to the spirit, he

said, "Now I command you, I break your

power. I command you to cease and

desist. I command you to stop right now.

I command you to let go of her. Take

your hands off her body. I command you

to take your hands off her life right

now in Jesus name." Little spirit said,

'I don't want to, but if you tell me to,

I know I have to. Well, I'm telling you

to, and you have to, so let go. He said,

that little that thing fell off her

body. Fell to the floor. He said, ' Not

only now, but he said, you leave the

premise. Get out of this building. You

leave here in the name of Jesus. Don't

you ever come back. This little creature

came went running out of there. Okay, I

don't know. I've heard different me I've

heard different stories about this. One

story I heard was the thing ran down the

street, couple blocks to a bar, went

inside, and within the next week, the

bar burned down.

I don't know. It wasn't there. But

anyway, anyway, I'm I'm almost done

here. But anyway, anyway. Anyway, she

went back to the doctor the next day.

The doctor looked, said, "We've got to

run some more tests." Said, "Well, run

all the tests you want." They checked

from every direction, every angle, every

side. They checked everything and said,

"We don't understand what happened, but

that cancer that was in both of your

lungs is totally gone now.

>> Perfectly healed." lived a long, happy,

healthy, productive life. But what it

was, it was produced influenced by the

presence of an evil spirit. It doesn't

matter if it's viral. It doesn't matter

if it's cancer, if it does, doesn't

matter if it's spirit. It does not

matter what it is. We've got a name

above every name. And I'm going to stop

with that because if I don't quit, we're

going to keep going. So anyway, anyway,

anyway, there's a sort this woman here

had a spirit of infirmity for 18 years.

Okay. And and it would have taken her

life eventually. She never would have

walked again. But what happened? She sat

and heard Jesus. He was teaching. She

heard what he was teaching. She believed

what he was teaching. She got what he

was teaching. And instantly she's healed

in her body. So anyway, let's stand to

our feet. We've gone enough for one

evening.

Father, we thank you in Jesus name.

Lord, there's there's so much from the

natural standpoint we do know, but we've

got a Bible, so there's much so much we

have access to. And so, we thank you in

the name of Jesus, dear Father. There's

uh I understand that. I I do. I do. I I

don't know exactly how we're going to

how we're going to get that all working,

but we'll find that out.

And there's

Yeah, I understand.

Yes, I know. I know. I know. If we'll if

we'll hold steady, if we'll hold steady,

stay with the word and stay with the

spirit. if we'll stay in the place we

know to be. There's a move coming

setting folks free from cancers. Setting

folks free from sickness and disease,

setting people free from the presence of

evil spirits. There's a move coming that

uh will be able to set the captives free

from any manner of sickness, disease, or

problem because you said your word is

life to those that find them and health

to all their flesh. So, I thank you for

it, dear Father. There's some things

we're going to get to know. There's some

things you're going to show. There's

some things we're going to find out that

we've been um seeking for for a long

time. But you did say in your word,

"Seek and ye shall find." So, we're

staying right with it. We as a group, we

as a family, we as an entity, we as a we

as a company, we're going to stay with

that until we begin to see these things

move. I know, Lord. I know that. I know.

I know, Brother Ostein. I know. I know.

right in the middle of one of his

services. Man came down halfway down to

the front of his church and they wanted

to stop him. But brother Ostein said,

"Uh, leave him alone. Let him come down

here. Man had been through back surgery

after back surgery after back surgery.

Bad things came down there and instantly

instantly got healed in his body."

Brother Hagen had healing services in

his churches when he was a pastor on a

consistent basis. Things didn't happen

instantly, but they began to happen.

that begin to happen until people came

from the regions round about to get

healed in their bodies. You haven't

changed. You didn't change. The word

didn't change. The Holy Ghost didn't

change. The only thing changed was us.

If we can change, we can change back.

I've got a I've got I know that, dear

Lord. I I got that part.

Yeah. Yeah. If we do seek, we will find.

If we do seek, we will find. Ah,

the door is not closed and locked. Oh,

no. There's a great door and effectual

before us and there are many

adversaries. But we know how to rise up

and stand. We know how to walk in your

plan and fulfill your uh goal for us.

Hallelujah. And there's a move coming.

There's a move coming. Lord, I'd just

stake everything I know. Everything. I

don't know that much, but I'd stake

everything I know. There's a move

coming. And it's not far away. It's just

in our day.

It's been seen. It's been prophesied.

It's been predicted.

It's been dreamed. It's It's coming our

way. It'll be a lot of places, but it'll

be here for sure in this place. So, we

thank you for it in Jesus name, Father.

Hallelujah. Glory to God. Hallelujah.

Glory to God. We thank you for the name.

>> Thank you.

>> And I thank you, Lord. There's a healing

presence that's just in here tonight.

Anybody can get anything they need if

they just take it. So I thank you, Lord,

if we just reach up and take. Reach up

and take. Reach up and take. Reach up

and take. Not reach up and try. Not

reach up and beg. Not reach up and

plead. Reach up and take. and take and

take take whatsoever belongs to us.

Your words are life to those that find

them. Health, healing, and medicine to

all our flesh. We thank you for it in

Jesus name, Father. Hallelujah. Glory to

God. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. I

tell you, we ought to just lift one hand

and say, "Thank God.

>> Thank God.

>> I am healed.

>> I am healed."

>> Thank God.

>> Thank God

>> I am healed.

>> Not by what I feel. Not,

>> not by what I see.

>> Not by,

>> not even by what I hear,

>> what I know,

>> but by what I know.

>> I know that I know that I know. Healing

is working in my body.

Is in his pres presence. I take time to

go. Hallelujah. We thank you for it in

Jesus name. Father, glory to God. Amen.
