open our Bibles. We'll we'll go to a
-
safe spot.
-
>> Let's go to the word of God [laughter]
-
to uh Luke chapter 13.
Luke 13 chapter mention
-
you you know God uh if you go back
-
through the very beginning of the church
-
when you go back through really
-
in uh Acts chapter 1 vers8 where the
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
disciples were asking Jesus about his
-
return and and so on and he said Acts
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
chapter 1 uh uh verse 8 he says but
-
you'll receive power after that the Holy
-
Ghost has come upon you and you'll be
-
able to have uh your bills all paid your
-
your master card will be fine and and
-
well you Now, don't misunderstand me.
-
I'm all for having the bills paid.
-
That's a good thing. All right? Because
-
they do they do come around. But really,
-
if you go back through what did what did
-
Jesus launch us out for? I mean, how did
-
he start this out? You'll receive power
-
after the Holy Ghost has come upon you,
-
and you shall
-
>> be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem
-
and Judea and Samaria and the uttermost
-
parts of the world. He didn't say, you
-
know, you'll be witnesses unto me in
-
Jerusalem. If you ever get that city
-
reached, then you can go to Judea. And
-
yeah, if you ever get past that, you He
-
didn't say go one step at a time. He
-
said you just attack all four.
-
Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, the uttermost
-
parts of the world. We have a four-point
-
plan. Starts out where we live and it
-
ends up at the uttermost parts of the
-
earth.
-
The way Jesus started all this was uh
-
with um I I I don't know if it's f if
-
it's okay to use the terminology, but
-
kind of a rag tag remnant.
-
120 people in the upper room. And they
-
didn't mind staying in the upper room
-
because that's the city that just
-
crucified Jesus. They're not real they
-
don't they're not real concerned about
-
getting out into the streets at that
-
particular point. But if you go back
-
through there, um
-
Jesus, he was raising an an army. You
-
stop and think all he had if that 120
-
would have would have just decided not
-
to do anything, I'm not sure where we'd
-
have gone. Not sure what would have
-
happened, but those 120, he said,
-
"You'll receive power after the Holy
-
Ghost has come upon you, and you'll be
-
witnesses unto me." And so on. And so he
-
got them all fired up, ready for it. And
-
um and then next thing you know, Acts
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
chapter 2, you know, now when the dead
-
Pentecost was fully come, they all with
-
one accord in one place. And suddenly
-
there came a sound from heaven as of a
-
rushing mighty wind, filled all the
-
house where they were sitting. There
-
appeared unto them cloven tongues like
-
as of fire and sat upon each one of
-
them. They're all filled with the Holy
-
Ghost. Began to speak with other tongues
-
as the Spirit gave them utterance. And
-
and next thing you know, they're
-
launched to the nations of the world.
-
You know, Peter and John, you know, like
-
they they went into the temple at the
-
hour of prayer, Acts the third chapter.
-
And here's a man laid daily at the gate
-
to ask alms, never taken a step in his
-
life. Okay? He's sitting there. He's
-
been begging all of his life. He's, you
-
know, he's he's he's a middle-aged guy
-
and and his controllers taking they
-
apparently put him in that spot every
-
day and and they give him enough money
-
to eat on and they take the rest. That's
-
kind of the way those things work in
-
those locations
-
as far as we can tell.
-
And you know, Peter and John uh they
-
they go into the temple at the hour of
-
prayer. But on the way in the man, he's
-
begging there and Peter stops and
-
fastens his eyes on him. Says he says,
-
"Uh, silver, silver and gold have I
-
none, but what I such as I have give I
-
thee. I don't have what you want, but I
-
got what you need. What you want will
-
feed you for part of a meal. What you
-
need will change your life." Amen.
-
>> Okay. So, if you look at the church,
-
what's the church doing? The church
-
caught hold of our of our uh mandate.
-
The mandate was go into all the world,
-
preach the gospel to every creature.
-
Markapter 16, Acts 1:8, you'll receive
-
power after the Holy Ghost has come upon
-
you. You'll be witnesses. Didn't just
-
say you'll go witness, you'll be
-
witnesses. And then, you know, the the
-
further you go, the more you see from
-
the very beginning of this thing, God
-
got across to the church what our
-
purpose was. And that is to shake the
-
world.
-
>> That's who we are. That's what we do.
-
Okay. Now, I'm, you know, and don't
-
misunderstand me. Like I said, I'm I'm
-
all for getting the, you know, the
-
master card paid. I'm all for getting
-
the utility. I'm all for our needs being
-
met. That's a part of it. My God shall
-
supply all of our need according to his
-
riches and glory by Christ Jesus. But
-
you, I'll be honest with you, might as
-
well. You know,
-
when I uh when I got my life right with
-
God, it was a ways away. But when I got
-
my life right with God, November 1972, I
-
was in college,
-
uh, doing the best I could to not do
-
anything, um, you know, two and a half
-
years in college. I never declared a
-
major, missed a lot of classes, you
-
know. Well, anyway, um, but I go to this
-
meeting, I walk an aisle, I pray a
-
prayer, I and and I make a decision to
-
walk with Jesus. I I I do that. and uh
-
you know and so boy I mean I I got
-
involved with um the the the guy that
-
got me to go to the meeting where I went
-
was George Fiero. He was from Holland,
-
Michigan. He was one of the students
-
there. Um you know God will go a long
-
ways. I mean, I don't even know where
-
the guy lived on the campus. But next
-
thing I know, in the middle of the term,
-
he gets transferred to my dorm. And he's
-
one of those
-
believer people,
-
you know, and he came walk first thing
-
he comes walking down the hall looking
-
for me. I don't know how he knew I was
-
in there, but anyway. Anyway, he's the
-
one that that coerced me to go to this
-
meeting. And so anyway, and he was one
-
of the navigators. didn't know what the
-
navigators were, but it was, you know,
-
was found out it was a good campus group
-
and I didn't know there was such a thing
-
as a campus group. I just knew I was on
-
a campus and uh so I started going to
-
the navigators group and I went there
-
for a little while and and uh learned
-
some good things, began to grow in some
-
things and and then I found some more
-
friends in the dorm that went to um um
-
uh Campus Crusade and Campus Crusade for
-
Christ. That was another organization,
-
campus organization. And um they they
-
had the campus directors had my life all
-
planned out for me. They let me know I'm
-
going to finish up. I'm going to I'm
-
going to eventually go to classes and
-
get grades and I'm going to I'm going to
-
graduate and and they're going to send
-
me to goodness, where is it? Out in
-
California somewhere out there. The the
-
headquarters for Campus Crusade. They're
-
I'm going to be I'm going to end up
-
being a campus director. They got this
-
all figured out for me. So, they're
-
they're taking me um with, you know, I'd
-
go with the campus director and a couple
-
other guys and we'd go we'd go to the to
-
the uh dorms. We'd go we'd go to the
-
frat houses, you know. Um we bunch of us
-
went one time to uh spring break. Uh we
-
we somehow got went left a blizzard up
-
in Michigan and we caught a trip down to
-
um Daytona Beach and went on beach
-
product projects. We we took handfuls of
-
four spiritual laws and we went up and
-
down the beaches and just praying with
-
people. We were getting we were getting
-
people saved. I mean probably the first
-
four or five days I was on that uh beach
-
project. I don't think I had excuse me.
-
I [clears throat] don't think I had
-
anybody that said no I don't want that.
-
I prayed with almost everybody I stopped
-
to talk to. Hungriest people I'd ever
-
seen. So anyway, that's what that's that
-
was life. Getting people saved, you
-
know, and I'm thinking, "Oh, I'll
-
probably do what these guys are saying.
-
probably go ahead and be a campus
-
director for some university somewhere.
-
I got this all figured out.
-
And uh and it was okay until I went home
-
for the summer and got filled with the
-
Holy Ghost.
-
And then they had a talk with me and
-
said, "You know, when this happens to
-
people, we we have to ask them to leave
-
because they make it a test of
-
fellowship." I'm thinking
-
I didn't I I didn't make it a test of
-
fellowship. You're the one that told me
-
I had to leave. But anyway, but but
-
honestly, it was a good thing. Uh God
-
had something different for my life. And
-
they were very nice about it. Honestly,
-
they were. And uh you know, but I what I
-
never could figure out was uh once I got
-
over into being filled with the Holy
-
Ghost, Jesus said, "You'll receive power
-
You'll what? You'll receive power after
-
the Holy Ghost has come upon you. And
-
what's the next thing he said? And you
-
shall what?
-
>> Be witnesses unto me.
-
>> So I thought, boy, this is great, man.
-
Once you get filled with the Holy Ghost,
-
you ought to really be a soul winner,
-
man. We've been doing this for oh, a
-
year, year and a half, something like
-
that. Got a lot of people born again on
-
the campuses, you know. And but then I
-
found out I got filled with the Holy
-
Ghost and I got around all the full full
-
gospel people and they didn't soul win.
-
Now,
-
>> I don't know if you ever saw that or
-
not, but the the soulwinning went out
-
the window. I never could figure out
-
why. You get power to be a witness and
-
then you quit being a witness.
-
>> But it's it but it's coming around full
-
circle.
-
>> God's raising up another army. He raised
-
up an army in Acts 1:8. He raised up an
-
army in Acts chapter 2. Um,
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
honestly, I don't know. You know, it's
-
it's strictly an opinion. Um but uh you
-
know a lot of people have said of course
-
brother Hagen's his primary um mandate
-
was to go teach my people faith. You
-
know most of us we've heard him say that
-
lots and lots of times before he checked
-
out and went to heaven what 22 years ago
-
something like that. But um anyway you
-
know uh that was his mandate. But I've
-
heard a number of people that are have
-
been around longer than me and they said
-
if you look at this his his message was
-
to go teach my people faith. His mandate
-
was to raise up a generation of leaders.
-
And if you look at what he did, he
-
raised up a generation of leaders. And
-
when I mean we started out that was I
-
was there 1974.
-
I got there September 1974.
-
And um there were there I don't know
-
that when I got there I think there were
-
70 of us and within two weeks time we're
-
down to 58. We were not going the right
-
direction with all that. And when I saw
-
that I mean I I rode a bicycle from out
-
by OU up to like fourth and Sheridan
-
in traffic.
-
They were using me for target practice.
-
It was just crazy out there. And so I
-
you know uh so I'm I'm I go to school. I
-
don't I, you know, I'm I I'm dressed
-
like a Mormon missionary. I don't know
-
what to expect.
-
I got a white shirt, I got a tie, I've
-
got, you know, and I had hair at the
-
time and I buzzed a lot of that off, but
-
I thought, you know, I'm I'm going to a
-
Bible school and I'm and and I I showed
-
up there and I walked up to the side
-
door. I'm going somewhere with this. And
-
I went up to and it was just this it was
-
Shared Road Assembly, which was a nice
-
church, but then they had little wooden
-
chapel on the side of it. And brother
-
Millard had told Brother Hagen, "Yeah,
-
you can use that. You can use that to
-
start your school in." And which was
-
good because we had 58 of us and and we
-
pretty much filled the the place. Did it
-
didn't hold a lot. And so I I you know,
-
I pull up on this borrowed bicycle. My
-
roommate had borrowed it from his
-
girlfriend who was an OU student and he
-
was he was housing it for her at his
-
apartment. And so anyway, so I ride up
-
on this bicycle. So I get off and I
-
said, "Look, I mean, if all I needed was
-
a little badge over here that [laughter]
-
and this guy comes walking out and and
-
he's he's got this long ratty sweater
-
on. He's got all you can see are two two
-
wire rim glasses and hair. He's got hair
-
down over his shoulders. He's got a full
-
beard. He's got all you can see I think
-
he's talking, but all you can see these
-
two little eyes coming through this."
-
And I said, "Is there a Bible school
-
here?" He said, 'Yeah.' And I said,
-
'Where is it?' He said, ' It's not
-
inside the door. I said, 'Are there any
-
students?' He said, 'Yeah, I'm one of
-
them.' And I thought, I am in the right
-
place. I [laughter] am this is really
-
going to this is going to be good, you
-
know. I got rid of my white shirt, my
-
black tie, my badge, everything,
-
you know, and and uh but I got in there
-
and God, there were 58 of us and it was
-
a miracle that there was ever a second
-
year.
-
>> You had to have seen the first year. and
-
and there's a few still a few of us
-
around 50 years later. But but anyway,
-
looking back through there, you know,
-
God took a bunch of um rag tag wild
-
hungry
-
kind of unusual people and
-
[clears throat] put us in there for nine
-
months time and and launched the
-
beginning of a move of God. Now my
-
goodness, now you can find Rama
-
graduates all over the world everywhere.
-
There are Rama schools. There arama
-
churches. There are Rama graduates.
-
There aroma of Bible schools. They're
-
all over the world. And God raised up a
-
gen I don't know. I'm not saying that's
-
what it was all about, but it sure
-
produced a generation of leaders. And
-
And but but what did it do? It launched
-
them all over the world uh to raise up
-
churches, crusades, frontier evangelism,
-
and reach people, get people born again.
-
And that was great. But here we are 50
-
years later and and uh there's just
-
there's a stirring right now. Um you
-
know I uh we had uh prayer con last week
-
and and one subject one subject we did
-
not get to we just you just four days
-
you run out of time. But one subject I
-
wanted to get to we will sometime and
-
that is we we're going to pray for
-
revival of the supernatural church.
-
>> And now we got churches everywhere. And
-
I I don't mean this in a bad way, pretty
-
much so, but we got churches all over
-
the world. But where is
-
a guy told me there's a guy that
-
[clears throat and cough] was actually
-
was in our church when we were in
-
Anybody remember uh East Central.
-
One person said yes. They were most of
-
us won't admit it. We were our church
-
was in East Central and there was a guy
-
walked up and he kind of looked kind of
-
like that guy that was in the school
-
that I met there. Guy walks up and and
-
he said, "I'm part of the uh
-
part of the he said, "I'm in I'm in a
-
music group called the Kentucky Head
-
Hunters."
-
>> I didn't know either. And uh [cough]
-
[clears throat]
-
he said uh found out later it's pretty
-
well-known group. He did a lot of
-
traveling and so on. and out of a we
-
have a friend has church in in uh uh
-
Tennessee and he'd come out of that
-
church and he came out here to to tell
-
us I'm not real sure exactly what his
-
purpose was but uh really a nice guy and
-
he came up and after a number of weeks
-
he came up and he said you know I he
-
says I've been listening every week I
-
said yeah and he said you keep talking
-
about a move of God you keep talking
-
about revival you keep talking about the
-
gifts of the spirit you keep talking
-
about the power of God you keep talk I
-
said good you're listening he said yeah
-
I got one question.
-
I said, "Okay, what's that?" He said,
-
"Where's the I've been hearing this all
-
my life?" My question is, "Where's the
-
stuff?
-
>> I that never that phrase has never left
-
me."
-
>> Okay. He said, "Where's the stuff? We're
-
talking. Everybody's talked. I've heard
-
it all my life. I've heard it all
-
growing up." He he'd probably have been,
-
I would say, maybe in his mid-30s at the
-
time. I've heard it all my life. I've
-
heard everybody say it in every way you
-
can think of. But he said, "I got a
-
question. Where's the stuff?" And I
-
said, "If you can find out, please let
-
me know because there's a lot of us that
-
are looking for it, praying about it, a
-
asking. We're doing everything we know
-
to do." But I'll just say this. I
-
believe we're back there. I I believe
-
it. God started out with 120 in the
-
upper room and he changed the world with
-
that. I believe if God can just get a
-
rag tag remnant of hungry people and get
-
a if he can get in us what he got got in
-
them 2,000 years ago, if he can do that,
-
we can shake the world.
-
>> Yeah,
-
>> I've got I am very convinced of that.
-
There's something happening. There's a
-
there's a move of God. You know, you see
-
we've got, you know, the Gen Z revival.
-
Well, that's going all over the world, a
-
lot of places. There's something
-
happening. There's churches being raised
-
up. There's groups of young people
-
getting hungry for the things of God.
-
It's it's it's coming on the university
-
campuses. It's it's
-
I've said it before. Some of us remember
-
the
-
uh Woodstock generation.
-
Few do. Okay. Few before most of you,
-
but anyway, some of us remember the
-
Woodstock generation, the the hippie
-
movement, the whole bit. That's what was
-
going strong when I was in college. Um,
-
but then all of a sudden, here comes out
-
of kind of out of nowhere, here comes
-
the Jesus Revolution.
-
And when the Jesus Revolution hit,
-
everything began to change. It turned
-
into the charismatic move and it shook
-
planet Earth. We were we were in places
-
the Berlin Wall had just come down. We
-
were in places in in the eastern part of
-
East Germany
-
and um they'd been having prayer 24
-
hours a day, seven days a week for a
-
hundred years. And it didn't stop
-
because of the didn't stop because of
-
the communist movement. It didn't stop
-
because of of you know the Berlin wall.
-
Didn't stop. The the move of God kept
-
going. And uh you know and I thought you
-
know if they could if they could do that
-
through the communist move through
-
through Moscow and all that if they can
-
do that then what should the church be
-
able to be doing now?
-
>> I've just I've got a a stirring that I
-
believe what we're looking for. We need
-
to get back over where we not just have
-
churches and big churches. We need to
-
have
-
Holy Ghost churches.
-
>> We need to have
-
we need to have churches with the
-
supernatural. We need to have re we need
-
to have a revival of the power of God.
-
>> That really that's how we started. God
-
didn't plan, as we've said many times,
-
God didn't plan to start us out with
-
fire and end us up with ice. He didn't
-
plan to get us to the place where we can
-
go, oh, we kept getting bigger and
-
bigger and bigger and bigger until we
-
said, "This is all done. Let's all just
-
check out and go to heaven." No. No.
-
When we go there, there's going to be
-
rain. There's going to be harvest. And
-
then we're checking out, but we're not
-
checking out until there's a harvest
-
that comes from the rain.
-
>> He said he'd come to us as the rain, the
-
former and the latter rain of the earth.
-
God's not done yet.
-
>> He's just looking for cooperation.
-
>> There's a move of God. it'll show up if
-
he can just get he doesn't it's not the
-
money doesn't bother him.
-
He's got plenty of that. He knows where
-
the gold's all buried. Okay. But all he
-
needs is manpower. All he needs are
-
people with an insight into the fact
-
that we'll do it. God will back us up.
-
>> So anyway, that's not even my message.
-
That was just a place to start. So where
-
did I say Luke the 13th chapter?
-
Um, I I've got a a a stirring um for
-
particularly for midweeks, the Wednesday
-
nights. Um, I've said it before. I'm not
-
real sure where all it's going to go or
-
how it's going to get there, but I've
-
got a stirring that our purpose in
-
Wednesday night is a little different
-
than anything else we're doing. And I
-
believe God, if we'll let him do it, I
-
believe God will raise up a group of
-
people here and he'll get us um he'll
-
get us focused on why why we're on
-
planet Earth. I believe he'll get us
-
raised up for what we're supposed to do.
-
Okay. Um we've seen it. We've been
-
there. We we've seen God do amazing
-
things in different meetings. Uh again,
-
uh I was I worked for Brother Hagen from
-
1975 on for a few years. Um spent a few
-
years working, traveling with them and
-
so on and and was able to see healings
-
and miracles on the road back then.
-
Okay. Um, but I'm yet to see what I
-
believe the Bible shows us in the
-
beginning days of the church. And we've
-
just got to get back there.
-
>> All it takes is people.
-
And here we are. So uh so anyway, um uh
-
let's we'll start there. Luke chapter 13
Luke 13 chapter mention
-
in verse uh we'll start with verse 10.
-
I'm not sure if we'll get any further
-
than that. We'll see. Says here in verse
-
10 says that he meaning of course
-
meaning Jesus he was teaching. Now he
-
was doing what? He's doing what?
-
>> He was teaching in the
-
>> synagogue on the Sabbath. Okay. All
-
right. This is how this all starts. If
-
we can find out
-
Jesus said uh John chapter 14, I believe
John 14 chapter mention
-
verse 12. He said um uh he said uh
-
you'll receive power after the Holy
-
Ghost has come upon you and you'll be
-
witnesses unto me. No, I got the right
-
verse here. John chapter 14 verse12. He
John 14 chapter mention
-
talked to us back there and said um how
-
we would uh
-
>> the works. Thank you. He that believeth
-
on me. I was just seeing if you knew it.
-
[laughter]
-
>> He that believeth on me. John 14:12. He
-
that believeth on me. He didn't say you
-
have to be an apostle, a prophet,
-
evangelist, pastor, teacher, helps,
-
governments, diversities of tongues. No.
-
He said he that believeth on me.
-
>> Anybody got any believers in here?
-
See, you put your hand up. You just
-
qualified yourself.
-
>> God wrote it down. He that believeth on
-
me, the
-
>> works that I do.
-
>> I don't I don't know why the church lost
-
track of this over the years, but it's
-
we're getting it back.
-
>> He that believeth on me, the works that
-
I do shall he she do also,
-
and greater works than these shall he
-
do, because I go unto my father, and
-
I'll pray the father. And and then he
-
goes on says if we'll just use his name
-
that whatever we ask he will do it. We
-
could go on into all that but the bottom
-
line is he said he that believeth on me
-
the works that I do. You stop think
-
about it. If we should if we can learn
-
what that is and how that works. Jesus
-
was on planet earth took on flesh and
-
dwelt among us. A body thou has prepared
-
me. Okay to showed up on planet earth
-
uh as a baby comes to planet earth. We
-
see him when he's born. We see him when
-
he's probably about two years old when
-
the wise men finally located him. And
-
then we see him when he's 12 years old.
-
He's in the temple. He's asking
-
questions. He's learning. He's studying.
-
He's he's he's finding himself in the
-
scriptures.
-
Okay. I don't know. I wasn't there. But
-
I'm It looks like he was going in there
-
studying the scriptures, learning,
-
finding himself. I don't think it just
-
came as automatic. Well, he's born, took
-
his first breath, and he just knew
-
exactly what he's on planet Earth for.
-
Had to grow up.
-
>> Okay, so we see there he's in there
-
study. He's 12 years old. We know the
-
whole story there. He got he was in the
-
temple and his parents couldn't find him
-
and the whole bit. And we go back there
-
and then we see when he's about 30 years
-
old and he goes to the River Jordan,
-
baptized in Jordan by John the Baptist,
-
his his cousin, goes over there and at
-
this point he's never done a sign, a
-
wonder, a miracle, a healing, a
-
demonstration. He's never done anything
-
supernatural that we can find. He just
-
grew up
-
>> and got himself prepared and learned. We
-
So we see him doing that. So he uh
-
he uh he's baptized in the Jordan, comes
-
up out of the water praying. The heavens
-
open, the the spirit of God comes down
-
upon him in bodily form like a dove
-
remains upon him. And we see that Jesus,
-
you know, all of a sudden, all of a
-
sudden, everything changes. He's never
-
he's never healed a body. He's never
-
raised the dead. He's never cast out a
-
devil. We don't see anywhere in the
-
first 30 years of his life that he's
-
done anything. And then John said in so
-
many words, he said, "If everything he
-
did could be written down, I don't
-
suppose the world itself could contain
-
the volumes." So he went 30 years not
-
doing anything
-
far as the supernatural that we're aware
-
of to then he steps over in the the next
-
three to three and a half years, he does
-
more than they can write down.
-
>> Okay. Well, it's because he was Jesus.
-
He was Jesus when he was 29.
-
He was Jesus when he's 29 years old, 11
-
months, 18 days, 24 minutes. He was
-
Jesus all the way through. Well, he was
-
the son of God. Great. He was, but he
-
was the son of God then. As much as he
-
was the son of God when he turned 30.
-
And if it was just being the son of God
-
to cause that to happen, then
-
>> where are we?
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> To as many as believed on him, to them
-
gave he the power to become the
-
>> sons of God. He He was a son. showed us
-
his son, demonstrated a son, and then
-
made us sons.
-
>> And he says over there, he that
-
believeth on me, he didn't put any real,
-
you know, he didn't say you have to
-
reach perfection. Okay? He didn't say
-
you have to be, you know, a specially
-
designed mature. No, he just said he
-
that believes on me. I was glad to read
-
that. He that believes on me,
-
the works that I do shall he do also.
-
What I what works? The ones I do shall
-
he do also. And greater works than these
-
shall he do because I go unto my father.
-
So what happens when he went to the
-
father? He prayed the father. The father
-
poured out the holy ghost. What was it
-
that equipped Jesus to do the miracles?
-
The heavens opened. The spirit of God
-
descended in bodily form like a dove
-
upon him remained upon him. Jesus didn't
-
work any miracles until the word and the
-
spirit came together
-
>> and stayed on planet earth. And then he
-
just said, "He that believes on me, the
-
works that I do shall he do also, and
-
greater works than these shall he do
-
because I go unto my father." What's he
-
going to do when he goes to the father?
-
I'm going to pray the father and he'll
-
send
-
>> another comforter. So the one that
-
equipped me to do what I did, he'll come
-
on you and he'll equip you to do what I
-
did. So therefore, what I do, you'll do
-
because you're going to have the same
-
equipment I'm going to have. Isn't that
-
what he said?
-
>> This this is not rocket scientist.
-
>> It's really what he said.
-
>> We we've, you know, we've got the truth.
-
We got the scriptures. Somehow we have
-
failed to put this into operation.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> But them days are gone forever.
-
>> God's raising up an army.
-
>> That's good.
-
>> Heard somebody say new breed.
-
I remember graduation at Rama. There
-
were 58 of us. It's a wonder any of us
-
graduated, but we're there and and and
-
uh Brother Hagen prophesied about a new
-
breed. And that's really what he did. We
-
didn't belong to any particular group.
-
We we were not in a denomination or a
-
non-denomination. We weren't
-
Pentecostal, charismatic word. There was
-
no word of faith. We beca we were the
-
first year of what we talked about as
-
the word of faith.
-
You may not think of it that way. I did.
-
But anyway, and and so, you know, it was
-
like we weren't part of anything except
-
there was a new breed of people, new
-
breed of leadership. New We didn't know
-
we were going to ever going to be
-
leadership. We just We're just glad we
-
could graduate.
-
[laughter]
-
Weren't sure that was coming. So,
-
anyway, the part I want to get to, need
-
to get going here. Part I want to get to
-
in here is
-
is uh
-
Jesus. Okay, let's let's follow this
-
through. Jesus said he and Jesus was in
-
the synagogue
-
on the Sabbath. What's he doing?
-
>> He's teaching. He's teaching. If you go
-
back through, and we've talked about
-
this so many times over the past years.
-
If you go back through in Matthew uh 4th
-
chapter 23rd verse, Jesus went round
-
about their cities and villages teaching
-
in their synagogues preaching the gospel
-
of the kingdom and healing every manner
-
of sickness and every manner of disease
-
among people. Well, it wasn't good
-
enough to put it in there once. Then you
-
go to Matthew the 9th chapter 35th
-
verse. Jesus went round about their
-
cities and villages teaching in their
-
synagogues preaching the gospel of the
-
kingdom and healing every manner of
-
sickness and every manner of disease
-
among the people. And he looked out and
-
he saw the people scattered as sheep
-
without a shepherd. He had compassion on
-
them. And he said, "The harvest truly is
-
plenteous, but the
-
>> labors are few. Pray therefore the Lord
-
of the harvest that he'd launch out
-
labors into his harvest."
-
He said the harvest, if the harvest was
-
plenteous 2,000 years ago, think what it
-
must look like now.
-
>> I don't know how many were on planet
-
Earth, but now we got what, 8.2, 8.3
-
billion, something like that. There is a
-
harvest out there. It's not any more
-
ripe than it was. There's just billions
-
more of us. So anyway, anyway, so
-
we know Jesus, his earthly ministry,
-
the the the basis of it was teaching,
-
preaching, and healing.
-
>> Teaching, preaching. Matthew uh 4:30 23,
-
Matthew 9:35, both places. And then you
-
follow his ministry and you get back
-
here. this there there there's a there's
-
a woman she's been she's had uh some
-
kind of uh arthritis
-
uh spirit of infirmity for 18 years
-
could in no wise lift up herself what's
-
Jesus going to do to help her he didn't
-
just walk up there and tap his f no
-
what' he do taught her he taught her in
-
the ministry of Jesus in his earthly
-
ministry I don't have the exact numbers
-
I've counted them out before but I' I'd
-
have to start all over to do it now. But
-
in his earthly ministry, in three and a
-
half years, of all the people that he
-
healed the sick, cleansed the leper,
-
raised the dead, all the people, he got
-
a miracle into their lives, about 70 to
-
75% of them, he either said or inferred
-
it was their faith that did it. So,
-
you're talking about 22, 24, 25% got
-
something out of what we'd call the
-
sovereignty of God. They got a freebie.
-
They got a miracle just by spiritual
-
gifts. And we might as well get ready
-
because we're going to see a wave of
-
that come that's coming back to the body
-
of Christ. There is a wave of SP. But
-
you can't live on that. If they didn't
-
in the ministry of Jesus when he walked
-
on earth, then he's not going to expect
-
us to just wander
-
and just go by and just, you know, tap
-
people on the head and get them. No.
-
Even if we did, it wouldn't do him a
-
whole lot of good if we didn't teach
-
them something. That's right.
-
>> He said, "You cast the devil out of
-
somebody." Don't just let him go like
-
that because the the unclean spirit goes
-
out of a man and uh seeking rest finds
-
none. He comes back to the house from
-
whence he came and finding it swept,
-
garnished, and empty, he finds seven
-
more spirits even worse than himself.
-
Comes back in entering in and the last
-
state of that man's worse than the
-
first. If we don't get folks raised up,
-
healed up
-
and then put something on the inside of
-
them, they're just going to wander
-
around, get sick all over again. We got
-
a job to do. We need to teach them,
-
train them, equip them, and disciple
-
them.
-
>> It's not one or the other. It's the
-
system.
-
>> That's the way things work. That's the
-
way they didn't just go from place to
-
place to place in all the chapters of
-
the book of Acts and get a bunch of
-
people raised up. When they did the
-
everywhere they went, they ended up
-
Jerusalem. What' they do? They planted a
-
church. Antioch. What did they do? They
-
planted a church. Um um when you get
-
back there, you've got
-
um Acts 13:1 Church at Antioch. Certain
-
prophets and teachers such as Barnabas,
-
Saul, and three other men. Uh the Holy
-
Ghost launched them out of there. First
-
thing they did is go out and start
-
getting people saved and planting
-
churches. That's where all these Pauline
-
epistles came from. Paul raised works up
-
and then he sent letters to them. What
-
did he What's he talking about? We'll
-
get them saved. We'll get them in the
-
kingdom, but then we're going to get
-
them raised up.
-
We're going to we're going to teach
-
them, train them, disciple them, and put
-
them to work in the harvest field.
-
>> I don't know where we're going with all
-
this.
-
>> Am I still on the first verse? Yeah, I
-
think I am.
-
>> I was going somewhere with that. I know
-
I was. It's all right. That we've got
-
till the rapture. So, but anyway, so he
-
says back here, Jesus, we we know we
-
know his his uh the method to his
-
ministry
-
>> and he goes into the synagogue on the
-
Sabbath day and what's he doing? He's
-
>> he's teaching. See, he knows that about
-
three three out of four people are going
-
to get something. They're going to get
-
it because he's going to put something
-
into them. If they'll believe that and
-
act on it, they'll get it. But if he
-
didn't put something into them, they're
-
not gonna get anything. one out of four
-
they might we we saw that we saw in in
-
the um the pool of Bethesda,
-
you know, guy doesn't know anything.
-
Okay, he's been he's been laid up. He's
-
sick there at the pool of Bethesda.
-
Everybody else is getting healed, but he
-
can't get into the water in time to get
-
healed. Jesus walks up to him, knew he'd
-
been now a long time in that case. Was
-
it 38 years? Knew he'd been a long time
-
in that case. He said, "Is it is it your
-
will to be healed?" He said, "I can't."
-
Oh, there's your candidate for a miracle
-
right there.
-
>> I can't. I'm too slow. Somebody always
-
gets there ahead of me. He saw people
-
get in the water sick and he saw him get
-
out. Well,
-
he couldn't get there. He didn't have
-
the money to hire somebody to carry him
-
and he couldn't get there himself. He's
-
going to spend the rest of his life
-
there. Jesus doesn't say, "Okay, sit
-
down. I have a syllabus.
-
I'm going to start teaching you out of
-
my book, and we're going to I'm going to
-
teach you on the subject of faith and on
-
the subject of healing." We'll we'll
-
it'll take us probably a year or so, but
-
we'll just keep doing this. And I'm not
-
making fun of that. What I'm saying is
-
sometimes we think we get things all
-
figured out. Jesus didn't say anything
-
about that. He just said, "Is it your
-
will to be healed?" He said, "I can't."
-
He says, "Well, get up and walk anyway."
-
>> Anyway, I put I added that in. Guy gets
-
up, takes up his bed, and walks away
-
whole. The next day, he's walking down
-
the road. And people said, "What are you
-
doing? You're carrying your bed. You're
-
not supposed to do that on the Sabbath."
-
He said, "I can't help it. The guy that
-
healed me told me to do it." Who was it?
-
He said, "I have no idea who it was."
-
Jesus had conveyed himself away. A
-
multitude being in that place. He didn't
-
know. He didn't get healed because Jesus
-
walked up there. Jesus didn't teach him
-
anything. He just walked up and
-
delivered. So, he did do some of that.
-
We could just spend sessions just on the
-
miracles Jesus did. Those you those two
-
uh two and a half out of five those or
-
however we could spend time doing that.
-
But the bottom line is, as a general
-
rule, Jesus would get miracles into
-
people's lives because he put something
-
into them. I'm I'll always be eternally
-
grateful for what people put into my
-
life. Have, do, will. I'm I'll always be
-
thankful that people
-
took the time
-
>> to put something in my life.
-
>> Just start with some I didn't know
-
anything. My goodness. They didn't teach
-
it where I went to church. I guess I
-
wasn't there that often, but but uh you
-
know, so we see Jesus here and he's in
-
the synagogue teaching. Okay, that's
-
what he does. Teach, preach, heal,
-
teach, preach. And if he didn't get
-
people healed, he didn't just throw up
-
his hands and say, "Well, I tried. It
-
didn't work." If he didn't get people
-
healed, he backed up and he started
-
teaching again. Mark chapter 6:5, he
-
went to his own hometown and said there
-
he could do no mighty work. Save laid
-
his hands upon a few sick folk and
-
healed them.
-
few people with hangails. He just I mean
-
he's used to signs, wonders, and
-
miracles. He goes to his own hometown,
-
Mark 6:5, and he can't get anybody
-
healed.
-
He did no mighty works. Say he lay laid
-
his hands upon a few folks with minor
-
ailments. What did he do then? Marveled
-
because of
-
>> their unbelief. You know, if you can
-
find the problem, you can fix it.
-
>> What did he do about that? He marveled.
-
He didn't marvel because their unbelief,
-
shake the dust off his feet and say,
-
"You're a miserable group of people. I'm
-
out of here." No. Marveled because of
-
their unbelief and went round about
-
their cities and villages teaching. He
-
knew the cure for this was to put
-
something in them. They can't believe
-
for it if they haven't heard it.
-
>> Everything starts out there. If we get
-
this in the church, what what was the
-
word of faith all about? It's about you
-
and I getting a hold of something out of
-
the Bible so we can get it in our lives.
-
Put it in other people's lives. People
-
can hear it. They can believe it. And
-
pretty soon they can get it.
-
>> And that's our next step is just let
-
folks get it.
-
>> You know, lay hands on the sick. Well, I
-
don't know, man. What if somebody
-
doesn't get something? Well, it's going
-
to be hard for them if somebody doesn't
-
do something.
-
>> Well, what if they don't get something?
-
Well, it's not my fault. Tell them to
-
talk to God about it. If I do my part,
-
then it's between them and God. If they
-
don't get it, then he's going to have to
-
deal. It's It's not my issue.
-
>> If I do my part, but how can God do his
-
if I don't do mine?
-
>> So anyway, goodness, the evening is
-
going I have I'm still on my first
-
verse. And he went he was in their
-
synagogue. I'm sorry. He was teaching in
-
one of the synagogues on the Sabbath
-
day.
-
And and so you know, this is the way
-
this whole thing starts. He's in the
-
synagogue on the Sabbath day and he's
-
teaching. He's teaching. Now, now again,
-
we know
-
uh Matthew 4, Matthew 9. We know his
-
ministry operated basically for three
-
and a half years by teaching, preaching,
-
healing, teaching, preaching, healing.
-
If people didn't get healed, he just
-
backed up and started teaching. All He
-
didn't He didn't say, "Well, we missed
-
it here. We failed." No. If they didn't
-
get healed, he'd back up and start
-
teaching. If they didn't get healed,
-
it's because they hadn't heard what he
-
what he brought to them. What do you do?
-
Give them more.
-
>> Give him more. Back there in goodness
-
Mark uh Luke chapter
-
six.
-
Uh Jesus was in the house. We don't
-
know. Maybe Peter's house. We don't
-
know. He was in the house and and the
-
place was packed full of scribes,
-
Pharisees, and doctors of the law. And
-
the Bible said the he was what was he
-
doing? Teaching. And the power of the
-
Lord was present to heal them. Why?
-
because he'd been teaching that. If he'd
-
teach it, the power would show up to do
-
it. See, we need to give God something
-
to work with.
-
>> That's it.
-
>> He'd teach it, the power and the power
-
of the Lord was present to heal them.
-
And you know, not one of them old
-
buzzards got healed.
-
>> They're so busy trying to find him
-
saying something wrong, they didn't
-
listen to what he was saying right.
-
>> And what what'd he do? He knew they
-
weren't getting it. He did. He didn't
-
say, "I I've had enough of you guys. I'm
-
out of here. I I've heard about you
-
people before. I'm leaving this. I'm
-
shaking the dust off." No, he didn't.
-
What did he do? He kept teaching. He
-
kept teaching. He kept teaching. He kept
-
teaching. He kept teaching until the
-
roof started coming apart. And four guys
-
brought their friend, took him up on the
-
roof and lowered him. They didn't go
-
with him. They lowered him in.
-
>> That's a dirty trick. They put they put
-
him on a stretcher and lowered him into
-
the middle of that room full of scribes,
-
Pharisees, and doctors of the law. They
-
were trying to catch Jesus saying
-
something wrong. Lowered him down in the
-
middle right in front of Jesus. And he
-
stopped.
-
What did he saw their face?
-
>> What'd he do? He kept teaching and
-
teaching and teaching and teaching and
-
teaching and teaching. He didn't care
-
how long it was going to take. He'd keep
-
doing it until somebody got it.
-
Yeah, they got it. Jesus said, you know,
-
rise, tuck be, but that you may know the
-
son of man has power and earth to
-
forgive sins. I say unto thee, rise,
-
take up thy bed, and walk. And he got up
-
and walked away forgiven and healed.
-
>> And the people are going, "Woo, we've
-
seen strange things today." They
-
wouldn't have known it was strange if
-
they'd have been listening to him.
-
>> I mean, think about this. I I've got to
-
find a place to quit here in a few
-
minutes. Think about this. Um,
-
you go you go back through here. Um, I I
-
like to go back through I I again, you
-
know, some things you can't prove, but
-
you can't disprove.
-
>> I try not to spend too much time on
-
those, but u I I heard one time or more
-
than one time. Uh I I heard brother
-
Hagen make the statement that in one of
-
the visitations he had when Jesus
-
appeared to him teaching him some things
-
about the different ministry gifts about
-
divine healing so on he uh if I got it
-
right okay he basically Jesus basically
-
said uh uh over there in Luke the 4th
-
chapter verse starting verse 14 15
-
something like that says back there uh
-
and Jesus returned in the power of the
-
spirit to Galilee his fame went through
-
all the region roundabout. He taught in
-
their synagogues being glorified of all.
-
And as his custom was, he went into the
-
synagogue on the Sabbath day, stood up
-
for to read. That was uh Luke the 4th
-
chapter and around the 17th verse,
-
something like that. Stood up for it to
-
read. And there was, now here's what
-
we're looking for. There was delivered
-
to him. Didn't even say he asked for it.
-
There was delivered unto him the book of
-
the prophet
-
>> Isaiah. And when he opened the book, he
-
found the place where it was written. He
-
knew where he was going.
-
>> He knew what he was looking for. But I
-
don't know if you know all I know is
-
that what I heard brother Hagen say that
-
in one of the visitations Jesus said
-
there this was the message I taught
-
everywhere I went. I'm thinking if
-
that's what he did that he didn't make
-
life so difficult for us. Why don't we
-
just do what he did? Preach what he
-
preached. Taught teach what he taught.
-
Do and get the same thing. Because if
-
this if it took Jesus teaching this to
-
the multitudes and it kept working,
-
[laughter]
-
he he didn't make our life real
-
complicated. What did he do? He opened
-
the book
-
to I won't do it out of the uh Isaiah,
-
but Isaiah 61st chapter verse one. We we
-
get this. Jesus said over in Luke the
-
4th chapter verse 17 he's when he opened
-
the book he found the place where it was
-
written the spirit of the Lord is upon
-
me that's what he saw it's what he found
-
himself in Isaiah the 61st chapter he
-
found his ministry now he he opens the
-
book of Isaiah there he said open the
-
book he found the place where it was
-
written the spirit of the lord's upon me
-
now notice this spirit of the lord's
-
upon me because he's anointed me to
-
preach the gospel to the poor sent me to
-
heal the brokenhearted, preach
-
deliverance to the captives, recovering
-
of sight to the blind, set at liberty
-
them that are bruised, preach the
-
acceptable year of the Lord, or we'd say
-
the year of Jubilee. Okay? And he closed
-
the book, gave it again to the minister,
-
and he sat down. He'd been standing up
-
apparently.
-
Sat down, and the eyes of all them that
-
were in the synagogue were fasted upon
-
him, and he began to say unto them,
-
"This scripture is this this day is this
-
scripture fulfilled in your ears?" He'd
-
probably been all over
-
teaching that in synagogues and he'd get
-
all done. He'd give the book back and
-
sit down. That's just it. This time he
-
stops and he goes, "This day this
-
scriptur is fulfilled in your ears."
-
Everything that was in that chapter you
-
can have today.
-
>> Anything in what happened? Why? Why?
-
Why? What was the difference? Why could
-
he do this everywhere he went and nobody
-
got anything? Now he does it and he
-
says, "You can have anything that's in
-
there." What was the difference? The
-
spirit of the Lord's upon me.
-
>> Yeah. He'd just come from Jordan. He'd
-
just come from being baptized. He just
-
come from the spirit of God coming on
-
him. And he said, "Now, if you want, you
-
can have it. I have the ability to
-
deliver that to you." But later on, he
-
says in John the 14th chapter, he said,
-
"He that believes on me, the works that
-
I do shall he do also, and greater works
-
than these shall he do because I go unto
-
my father."
-
If that all started working when the
-
Holy Ghost came on him, then what should
-
happen to the church when the Holy Ghost
-
comes on us?
-
>> Yeah. Yes, sir.
-
>> Shouldn't it be the same thing?
-
>> I didn't say it. I just read it.
-
>> Thank you.
-
Anyway. Anyway, didn't plan it. I didn't
-
wasn't had no intention to go. I was
-
just going to start out with verse 10
-
and not end up with verse 10. But
-
anyway, we've gone long enough for
-
tonight. But but
-
God has equipped us. He's prepared us.
-
He's filled us. He's fueled us. He's
-
given us old and new testament. The new
-
better than the old. He's given us the
-
Pauline epistles. He's shown us what he
-
did at the through his death, burial,
-
and resurrection. He showed us what
-
redemption looked like. He's done
-
everything he knew to do. All he all he
-
needs now is to get some folks to go do
-
something with it.
-
>> What would happen if we did that?
-
>> What would happen if we got real, real
-
bold about I think I'll just go tell
-
somebody about Jesus. Now, if I find
-
somebody sick, I'll tell them about
-
Jesus. And I'll tell them that he healed
-
the sick, cleansed the leper, raised the
-
dead, and cast out devils. If you need
-
healing in your body, I'll lay hands on
-
you.
-
>> I'm not going to pray for you. He didn't
-
say pray for the sick. He said minister
-
to the sick. I
-
>> Oh, I don't know, man. You get a lot of
-
trouble over that.
-
>> You can get in a lot of trouble over not
-
doing that.
-
>> Oh, we've gone long. We need to We need
-
to stand up.
-
>> Next week or whenever we'll get to verse
-
11.
-
That's where we were headed anyway.
-
But think about that. If Jesus,
-
if his ministry was launched when he
-
came up out of the water praying and the
-
heavens open and the spirit of God
-
descends, the Holy Ghost is not a dove.
-
There are places they'd shoot him, use
-
him for dinner. The Holy Ghost is not a
-
dove. He He descended in bodily form
-
like a dove.
-
came upon him, remained upon him,
-
>> okay? Stayed. He didn't leave if that's
-
what he did. And Jesus went out and then
-
he goes, you know, we we know the the
-
the progression, okay? He goes into the
-
wilderness. He goes through the
-
temptations. He overcomes the enemy. He
-
comes out in the power of the spirit,
-
goes into the synagogue, stands up. They
-
deliver to him the book of the prophet
-
Isaiah, and he says, "The spirit of the
-
Lord's upon me because he's anointed me
-
to preach the gospel to the poor." He
-
could he apparently read that a lot. He
-
said everywhere I went, I preached the
-
same thing. He might have done that who
-
I don't know how long he might have done
-
that. No idea. But if he did that for a
-
good long time, but all of a sudden the
-
big difference is this day this scriptur
-
is fulfilled in your ears. Difference
-
was the Holy Ghost. What about the
-
church? There ought to be a mentality.
-
Ought to be a mentality. I am I I've
-
been equipped.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> I'm wallto-wall Holy Ghost. I got the
-
power of God head to toe. I've got the
-
spirit of God in me. I'm born again,
-
bloodbought, redeemed. I'm a new
-
creature in Christ. I'm the I'm the
-
righteousness of God in Christ. And I am
-
I am I'm commissioned. I'm empowered.
-
I'm set.
-
>> And if you need something, I know the
-
one who can fix you.
-
>> I can't do it. Jesus never said I do. He
-
never said I'm doing the works. He said
-
the father in me, he's doing the works.
-
I don't have say well I don't think I
-
can do that. Well, I could have told you
-
that ahead of time.
-
He never said you and I had to do it.
-
Jesus said, "The Father in me, he's
-
doing the works." If he had to wait till
-
the Father to do the works by the Holy
-
Ghost, then he gives us the Holy Ghost.
-
So, we should be able to expect the same
-
things to happen.
-
>> All we got to do is get to where we
-
believe it.
-
>> That's it. That's it.
-
>> Hear it and believe it. If he had to
-
teach it to people and get them to
-
believe it, then probably we ought to do
-
ourselves a favor and do the same thing.
-
So,
-
where is it going? I don't know. But all
-
I know is the next time we come back,
-
we'll go to verse 11
-
>> and see where it goes from there.
-
>> Jesus taught and then he demonstrated
-
that taught and then he demonstrated.
-
Taught then he demonstrated. Seven out
-
of every 10 somebody got something
-
either he either said or inferred it was
-
by
-
their faith. Well, if their faith would
-
work back then, then what about us?
-
Shouldn't our faith do the same thing
-
today?
-
We're just not as we're just not as nice
-
of people as they were back there. We're
-
not as smart.
-
>> Well, I don't know. But anyway, they
-
just got it working for them.
-
>> Oh, goodness. We've gone long enough.
-
Let's lift our hands and give him
-
thanks. Let's Let's thank him for who he
-
who we are.
-
>> I know who I am. I know who's I am. I
-
know who's in me. I know who I'm on the
-
inside of. I am I am persuaded of that.
-
I know. I know who I belong to.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
>> I know. I'm fully persuaded what he's
-
promised. He's able to perform that
-
under the day of my Lord Jesus Christ.
-
He didn't send me down here clueless and
-
helpless. He sent me down here fully
-
equipped
-
>> with the third person of the Godhead.
-
>> If I just learn to work with him, learn
-
to cooperate with him. Learn to feed on
-
the word.
-
>> Yes. Father, I pray over us. May we
-
learn like we've never learned. May we
-
do like we've never done. May we say
-
like we've never said before. May we get
-
hold of things we've never had before.
-
May we rise up and be [music] a part of
-
a rag tag remnant bunch of people that
-
is afraid of absolutely nothing.
-
>> And I pray that over this house in the
-
name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
-
>> And we thank you in Jesus name. Father.
-
Amen. Amen. Amen. Well, let's give him
-
thanks.
-
>> Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus.
-
>> Hallelujah. You want to You want to come
-
up?
-
>> Thank you, Lord.
-
>> Okay.
-
>> Thank you, Jesus.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
>> Good. I don't know what you got there,
-
but I'm sure it's right.
-
>> Yes.
-
>> Yes, sir.
-
>> Okay. Good.
-
>> Aren't you glad you came tonight? Wow.
-
So grateful. [music] Go ahead and take a
-
seat real quick if you wouldn't mind. We
-
have one more thing that we need to do.
-
Um, we have a send out tonight. Um,
-
yeah, we have a send out tonight. Are
-
you excited, man? I'm so excited about
-
this. We have Jose and Cathia Pena and
-
their family. They are going to a uh
-
Alecante. Yeah. Aante, Spain.
-
Ready for this? From April 1st, 2026 to
-
April 1st, 2029.
-
Hallelujah. Would you all come on up?
-
Would you all come on up? So, they'll be
-
serving in full-time uh missionary and
-
pastor.
-
They're going to Georgia 1st on January
-
27th until April 1st to work on visas
-
and paperwork.
-
Uh there will be some outreach to Muslim
-
communities and local neighborhoods,
-
preaching, teaching, evangelism, and
-
pastoral care. [music] Hallelujah.
-
Pastors Mark and Janet.
-
>> Yeah. Hallelujah. There we go.
-
>> Okay. We have to make a deal here.
-
>> Yeah. Uh
-
>> oh.
-
>> You leave the girls with me. [laughter]
-
>> I don't know if I can do without my
-
Sunday hugs.
-
>> It's a truth.
-
>> This is really exciting. We actually we
-
just got to meet. Was that just
-
yesterday?
-
>> Whoa. This week's going really too fast.
-
But anyway, um we got to meet a little
-
bit too.
-
uh get a full view of what they've got
-
planned. And uh I'm not going to go into
-
all that. We'll we'll try to update you
-
at different times in the future, but
-
they're going into a place uh uh in
-
Spain. Uh I told him we we had a school
-
in Barcelona. Barcelona,
-
I think I can say that right now.
-
Anyway, uh had a Damatada school there.
-
Uh and it was one of the strongest
-
schools we had. Um
-
and and we we found the the the Spanish
-
were some of the hungriest people for
-
the things of God. Had a great school.
-
Churches raised up out of that. Churches
-
raised up went different directions in
-
that part of the nation. And uh so I I
-
I'm not sure exactly where they're going
-
to go. I'd have to look on a map and see
-
where it is. But but um uh there's a
-
whole community there of people that do
-
speak English, but they're going to work
-
with a community of people that don't
-
speak English. They speak Spanish and
-
they're already equipped for that. Well,
-
I thought, wouldn't that be nice?
-
Fluent. Fluent. I'd be I'd be glad to be
-
fluent in English, you know. It's just
-
>> That's your first language.
-
>> Yes. Your first
-
>> Spanish.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> Yes.
-
>> So, as they said, they're they're
-
they're leaving Sunday.
-
>> Um, Tuesday.
-
>> Tuesday. Got to Georgia. I kept thinking
-
he meant Georgia, like Georgia, Eastern
-
Europe, something like that. Well, no,
-
Georgia. Georgia, the the real one here.
-
So anyway, and uh so then they they'll
-
prepare everything and uh their
-
paperwork will come through, their
-
finances will come in and uh
-
>> they're going to move over there for
-
three years then.
-
>> Yeah. So we're really excited about
-
that. We they they showed up at the
-
church and they plugged in and they've
-
just been uh working just doing what
-
needed to be done. And so we're we're
-
thankful for that. We're going to miss
-
them. So I I don't know if the I don't
-
think these girls are going to Are you
-
going to stay here with us? Is that what
-
you [laughter]
-
No, no, no. I don't blame you. I don't
-
blame you.
-
>> You speak Spanish, too. Do you? Boy,
-
must be nice.
-
Uhhuh. There's my buddy here. Yeah. Hey,
-
how you doing? You good? Yeah.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> No.
-
>> No. Yeah. So, what we're gonna do is
-
we're gonna I said, let's just do this,
-
you know? I mean, it's like, uh, you're
-
leaving that quick, that soon, but they
-
are. And so, we believe in them. We're
-
believing with them, believe for them,
-
and we're going to get behind. And so,
-
anyway, so, uh, we said, "Just can you
-
be at service tomorrow night?" Said,
-
"Oh, yeah, of course." So, we said,
-
"We're going to launch you out of the
-
service tonight." So, um, it's just kind
-
of a special time. We just really had a
-
stirring to do this. So, so we're going
-
to we're just going to send him out.
-
Acts 13:1
-
uh the Holy Ghost said, "Separated unto
-
me Barnabas and Saul for the worker unto
-
I've sent them." When they fasted and
-
prayed, they laid their hands on him,
-
sent him forth, and they being sent
-
forth by the Holy Ghost departed unto
-
Spain. Well, Salucia, but Spain anyway.
-
And so, uh we're going to keep track of
-
see what what all they're doing. But, uh
-
they've got the ability, they got the
-
goods, they got the call. You've been
-
over there for what just two weeks?
-
Three two weeks. and uh got an
-
assignment and is heading back over.
-
There's a there's a minister and a
-
church to work with, but they're going
-
to launch out into a whole another
-
dimension of people over there. So, so
-
anyway, so let's all stand to our feet.
-
We're going to believe God with them.
-
>> Just like this. Can we pray for you? Is
-
that all right? Huh?
-
>> Yeah. Yeah. Is that good? Okay. Okay.
-
Okay. Everybody re Let's just reach our
-
hands out and believe God with them.
-
Father, thank you so much for this
-
family. Thank you for the hand of God.
-
Thank you, Father, for where you brought
-
them from and where you brought them to.
-
Thank you, Father, for uh assigning them
-
to this house, bringing them over in
-
here where we got a chance to to get
-
connected with them and get to know them
-
and see the hand of God on their lives.
-
And so, we thank you right now as a
-
church. We're putting our faith with
-
them. We're believing you with them.
-
every need to be met, every bill to be
-
paid, all the finances they need to to
-
do what you're sending them to do for
-
the next three years. And and thank you,
-
Father, for the doors opening up into
-
places into into people where they speak
-
English, where they speak Spanish, uh,
-
Castellian Spanish, wherever it is. And
-
we thank you for it in Jesus name. So we
-
we thank you, Lord, for prosperous
-
journeys by the will of God. Thank you
-
for the paperwork all being done
-
supernaturally quickly uh when they're
-
in Georgia, for everything to be done,
-
for the visas to come through so they
-
can go and and uh step into their place
-
over there.
-
>> Thank you for every need being met in
-
the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We
-
thank you for what you have on this
-
family to do. And we as a church, we
-
surround them with our faith, with our
-
love, and our words. And we lay hands on
-
them. We thank you, dear Father,
-
for we for sending them out just like
-
you did Barnabas and and Saul. You you
-
sent them out into another region. Thank
-
you for sending them out into the place
-
you've called them to. Thank you for a
-
um boldness to touch so many lives over
-
there. And we thank you in the wonderful
-
name of Jesus, Father. Hallelujah. Glory
-
to God. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Thank
-
you, Father. We thank you for meeting
-
every need abundantly. Thank you,
-
Father, for taking care of everything
-
they do. Thank you for this precious
-
family they've got. Thank you, Father,
-
for being the God that goes before them.
-
Show them where to pitch their tents.
-
You'll you'll take care of everything.
-
Fight every battle, meet every need,
-
give them a great place to live and
-
abundance of everything in Jesus name.
-
Health and strength and wisdom and
-
everything you've given them to do. We
-
thank you in Jesus name, Father. Amen.
-
Amen. Amen. Amen. Well, we'll lift our
-
hands and thank God for them.
-
>> Thank you,
-
>> Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
-
Thank you. We love you guys. We believe
-
in you.
-
>> Thank you so much.
-
Launching out into the deep.
-
Oh, are you girls excited about going?
-
>> Excited about going. Oh, I think it's
-
exciting. I've been there before. I love
-
it over there. People are wonderful.
-
[laughter]
