[music] What a name.
-
>> What a name. What a name. [music]
-
Wherefore God hath highly exalted him
-
and given him a name above every name.
-
[music]
-
That at the name of Jesus, every knee
-
shall bow. Things in heaven, things in
-
earth, things under the earth, and every
-
tongue confess Jesus Christ is Lord to
-
the glory of God the Father. We got a
-
name. [music] It's above sickness, above
-
disease, above poverty, above lack,
-
above war. We got a name. We got a name.
-
Belongs to every one of us. It's in us.
-
It's for [music] us. It belongs to us.
-
That's our name. I got a name.
-
Thank God for the name.
-
Father, we're grateful. We're so
-
grateful to be in your church [music] in
-
the kingdom of God, the body of Christ.
-
Thank you, Father. We know beyond the
-
shadow of a doubt, greater [music] is he
-
that's in us than he that's in the
-
world. What? know you not that you're
-
the temple of God and the spirit of God
-
dwells on the inside [music] of you.
-
Father, thank you for the great knowing
-
in the church. We know we know whom we
-
have believed and we're persuaded he's
-
able to keep that which we've committed
-
unto him against that day. Whatever
-
comes along, we got a name. We got a
-
name. We've got a name. Sickness has a
-
name. Disease has a name. We got a
-
greater name.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Glory to God.
-
Hallelujah. [music]
-
Hallelujah.
-
And there's a wave of there's a wave of
-
that presence in here now. It's been
-
moving since the service started. Thank
-
you. A wave of miracles, a wave of
-
healings, a wave, a wave of the divine
-
order of almighty God. So in the name of
-
Jesus, in the name of Jesus, we take
-
authority right now in this house. We
-
take authority over sickness, disease,
-
infirmity. We take authority over lung
-
problems. We take authority over um
-
oh so many things. Goodness, goodness,
-
goodness. Thank you, dear father.
-
Hallelujah. Thank you in the respiratory
-
[music]
-
area. Thank you, dear father. In the
-
circulatory system, in the nervous
-
system, Father, thank you. Thank you.
-
There's a wave of divine healing
-
sweeping through the place in Jesus'
-
name. Backs being healed,
-
joints being healed, arthritis
-
dissolving and disappearing. Thank you
-
for it, dear father. There's a wave of
-
divine healing, divine health,
-
divine results in Jesus name. And we
-
take hold of that and we speak that out
-
over this house. Even those watching
-
online,
-
we got a name greater than any other
-
name. And we uh we appropriate that name
-
even right now in the name of Jesus, the
-
name above every name. And we thank you
-
for it. We thank you for it. We thank
-
you for it. You said in your word, he
-
that believes has he that believes has
-
everlasting life. He that believes has
-
healing in their body. He that believes
-
has deliverance from poverty. He that
-
believes has If we believe it, we got
-
it. So we got it. We've got it. It's
-
ours in the name of Jesus. Jesus bought
-
and paid for it and we took it.
-
Hallelujah. We thank you in Jesus' name,
-
Father. And we thank you, Father, for
-
the remainder of the service today.
-
Thank you for doing all you want to do.
-
Thank you, Father, for what you are
-
doing.
-
We don't say that just as a cliche, but
-
something is happening.
-
>> We know that, Father. We don't know
-
beyond that, and that's okay. We'll see
-
it. We'll know it. Something is
-
happening. Something in the church
-
world. Yes. in this city. Yes. But even
-
closer, something's happening in this
-
house.
-
>> You're getting us ready for what you're
-
getting ready for us. And we thank you
-
for it in Jesus name, Father.
-
Hallelujah. Amen.
-
>> Amen. Amen. Amen. Well, one more time,
-
let's lift our hands and give him
-
thanks. Thank you, Lord. Thank you,
-
Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord.
-
[music]
-
Thank you, Lord.
-
>> [music]
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
Glory. Glory. Glory. Praise God.
-
Hallelujah. Can I think of Glory? Well,
-
you may be seated. Thank you. Appreciate
-
our appreciate our worship team.
-
Our worship leaders.
-
I'm so glad they don't just entertain,
-
they lead.
-
>> Hallelujah. Glory to God. Hallelujah.
-
You know, I know I've used this phrase
-
before, but it it's good to good enough
-
to be repeated. You ever get to where
-
you just know some things in your
-
knower?
-
>> That's just how things work. You know,
-
greater is he that's in me than he
-
that's in the world. Okay? We know from
-
uh Romans 8:14,
-
as many as are led by the spirit of God,
-
they are the sons of God. Once we're
-
born again, the Holy Ghost moves on the
-
inside. Greater is he that's in us than
-
he that's in the world. And so some, you
-
know, instead of somebody having to tell
-
us from the outside, what we really get
-
to know is what we know on the inside.
-
And that that pertains that's not just
-
church. That's every that's life. And uh
-
um you know, I won't go any further
-
because I really don't know where I'd go
-
if I did. But uh I've got I've got some
-
things actually started about 20 minutes
-
ago. I got some things rolling on the
-
inside. There's a knowing and my knower.
-
Hallelujah. We'll see as we go along.
-
We'll watch what it is. But God's
-
getting us ready for what he's getting
-
ready for us.
-
>> You know, the head can't get anything
-
done without a body.
-
>> Just the way it works. But he's got a
-
body. He's got a He's got a number of
-
people in this house. Now, I can't speak
-
for anybody else. I don't go there. But
-
I I can speak for this place that God's
-
got a he's got a lot of um busy, active,
-
ready to go people in this house. And uh
-
really that's all he needs, you know,
-
doesn't need great uh ability, just
-
needs great availability.
-
>> And he's got that.
-
>> Anybody that's in that, just raise one
-
hand, say, "I'm available.
-
>> I'm available."
-
>> You just committed yourself.
-
>> God God's got that written down up
-
there. So anyway, anyway, this is this
-
is a great interesting morning. Okay.
-
There's just uh there's a lot of things
-
happening right now. Um
-
you know, I've told people before I'm a
-
just by I I don't know if it's nature,
-
personality, call, I don't know what it
-
is, but I'm I'm personally I'm just not
-
a real good maintainer.
-
I maintain just so long and then I I I
-
have this thing where I kind of get
-
bored and uh I [laughter] heard that
-
somebody said, "Uh oh." So, so, uh, but,
-
um, you know, sometimes you just have to
-
ride along with things until things
-
begin to change. And, um, um, you know,
-
there's just there's something in the
-
works right now. And I like what it is.
-
It's a there's a a stirring on the
-
inside and it'll show up on the outside.
-
Something on the inside working on the
-
outside. Oh, what a change in our
-
church. Hallelujah.
-
So, so, um, we've got a lot of
-
directions we could and should go, but
-
you know, uh, some things just take a
-
little more time than, uh, than we've
-
got. And so, that's why we've got from
-
now till the rapture of the church.
-
Okay? So, we've got all that time. And
-
when the rapture takes place, uh, you
-
can stay if you want, but I plan to
-
check out of here and, uh, go. First
-
load, [snorts]
-
>> second car, first load.
-
First car is the dead and Christ rise
-
first.
-
>> [laughter]
-
>> I'm taking second car, first load.
-
Anyway,
-
anyway, good to see everyone this
-
morning. There is a when we got we
-
walked in here, Pastor Jan and I were
-
out over in the front and I thought,
-
dear Lord, there's a shout in the house.
-
There's just there's just there's just
-
something going something's happening.
-
>> Yeah. as far as I'm concerned, it's
-
happening for us, to us, in us, through
-
us, and conferred upon us, as the
-
amplified says. So anyway, um I'm going
-
to go back through and just read a verse
-
to start with out of Habach chapter 2,
-
verse two. It's one probably we're all
-
familiar with to some degree
-
where it says, "And the Lord answered me
-
and said, write the vision, make it
-
plain upon tables,
-
>> "That he may run that reads it." See,
-
when we get it, it's not time to sit
-
down and go, "Well, we'll just see if
-
that happens." No, that he may run that
-
readeth that for the vision is yet for
-
an appointed time. I think that's where
-
maybe a lot of us have had a little bit
-
of discomfort over the decades, you
-
know, because well, I got this great
-
vision and I've been praying and
-
believing God and doing everything I
-
know to do and etc etc all that. Anyway,
-
he says uh for the vision is yet for an
-
it's for an appointed time. Okay. And uh
-
it just some things just take time. You
-
you can have some beginnings. You can
-
have some momentum, but the vision
-
itself is for an appointed time, but at
-
the end it shall speak and not lie.
-
Isn't it interesting? God knew enough to
-
say it'll take it. It's not going to
-
start happening till toward the end.
-
There's some things for the church world
-
that aren't going to happen until we get
-
close to the end. And you can't get a
-
lot closer to the end than we are right
-
now.
-
You know, I mean, we we've got uh an we
-
have an armada.
-
Isn't that what the pre the president
-
called it? An armada of of uh of um uh
-
ships and carriers and they're all and
-
they're all headed over toward amazing.
-
They're headed they're all headed over
-
toward uh Iran, toward the Middle East.
-
I don't know about you, I like that. I I
-
kind of like the deal. I like I like
-
having a I love now you can you can
-
think whatever you want, believe
-
whatever you want, say whatever you
-
want, but if you start praying for the
-
president, you'll say nice things.
-
>> And if you're not saying nice things
-
because you're not praying,
-
>> well, I don't think he's right all the
-
time. Well, are you?
-
>> Just a joke. Anyway,
-
anyway, there's so many things going on
-
right now that uh you know they and and
-
you know we're America's right in the
-
middle of all these things. They may be
-
thousands of miles away, but you know,
-
this all kind of reflects back on us.
-
And I just like the fact that he says at
-
the end it's going to speak. Yeah,
-
>> we're close to the end when we start
-
seeing all these carriers and
-
battleships and all this heading over
-
toward heading over toward the Middle
-
East. Uh that's kind of be it's kind of
-
the focal point of everything toward the
-
end and all you know all of our forces
-
are heading that direction or a lot of
-
them I should say. Uh what a time to be
-
alive and well.
-
>> Alive and well anyway.
-
But at the end it shall speak and not
-
lie though it tight for it. Oh, we're so
-
good at waiting.
-
>> [laughter and gasps]
-
>> though it terry. Wait for it because it
-
will surely come. It will not terry.
-
There are things it just takes time to
-
get them there. You know, I'm so glad
-
God's been working on this for 6,000
-
years and it's just taken some time to
-
get things. Why? Because he's had to
-
work through humans.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> Not that anybody in here would qualify
-
for that, but but um you know uh where
-
we are right now, what an amazing time.
-
What an amazing time. I I don't do a lot
-
of watching the news because what was it
-
Smith Wigglesworth told Lester Summerall
-
one time he said had a newspaper under
-
his arm. He said don't bring that thing
-
in my house. He said why not? He said
-
why read half truth when you got the
-
whole truth. Bring your Bible and come
-
in. So he had to throw his newspaper in
-
the bushes and bring his Bible and go on
-
the inside. Well, we're kind of at the
-
same place and I don't mean that in a
-
critical way, but the news is the news.
-
their their job is to say whatever they
-
want to say and sell papers and or news
-
or whatever they do doesn't mean it's
-
all true doesn't mean we're getting
-
truth because we have a Bible we have
-
truth and we've got the Holy Ghost on
-
the inside of us that he knows all the
-
truth and he and you know a lot of
-
things he just doesn't tell us all of it
-
he kind of lets us know on a need to
-
know basis and sometimes what you need
-
to know and what you do know are two
-
different things but anyway moving along
-
here
-
says um uh you know the vision's for an
-
appointed time. It will not terry it
-
will come. And he said it's for the end.
-
Well, I'd say we're about as close to
-
the end of the church age as we're going
-
to get. We're we're really close. We
-
know the return of Jesus is out here,
-
but the le church is leaving seven years
-
earlier. So, you know, there's just a
-
lot going on right now. And uh what a
-
day to be alive. It's not a day to be
-
afraid. My goodness, if if you're afraid
-
of it, you need to go back and read your
-
Bible. And if you can't watch the news
-
without being afraid, then shut your TV
-
off and go back to your Bible. That's
-
all truth. So, uh, so anyway, um, in
-
going back through that, it's it's
-
vital. Uh, vision is so important.
-
Vision is supernatural insight into
-
where we're going. And vision is so
-
vision's important for the church world.
-
Vision is important for the body of
-
Christ. Vision is important for the
-
local church. And with that being the
-
case, um, goodness, we mentioned it
-
earlier when God began to we, Pastor
-
Janet and I married 1979.
-
>> Pardon me?
-
Feb when
-
checking to see if she remembers.
-
Anyway,
-
and I'm coming over here for a little
-
while.
-
I was going somewhere and I I I got
-
myself confused. Anyway, um I was going
-
somewhere right then. So,
-
uh anyway, we we were married in in 79
-
and uh we um began traveling within just
-
a few weeks time. We traveled, you know,
-
all over the United States. By the end
-
of that year, we took our first trip to
-
the nations and and uh began traveling
-
all we traveled for about 19 years to
-
the nations of the world. I I have no
-
idea how many trips it was. I think I
-
think about 250 something like that. I I
-
don't know. Um all I know is last I
-
checked we have like 5.2 uh million
-
miles on just on one airline alone. Tell
-
them they should have we should have our
-
own seats embroidered with our names,
-
but we don't. Anyway,
-
so um and then God be to uh we pray. You
-
know when you pray it's amazing what you
-
pick up. you know, you can just move
-
along through life and have a good time,
-
but you begin to pray, you're going to
-
pick up eternity. And so, we begin to
-
pray and we had a there's a group of us
-
that uh a number of names you'd
-
recognize if you heard. We traveled the
-
nations of the world and um uh we went
-
to the Philippines, we went to
-
throughout uh Europe, we went to um uh
-
on and on to
-
South America, I believe it was. Anyway,
-
went all over. And and uh as we did
-
that, all of a sudden we'd begin praying
-
and um oh goodness, praying all of a
-
sudden it'd be like um when I say you'd
-
see something. I don't mean like open
-
vision angels appearing. Sometimes you
-
just get a glimpse of something in the
-
future. Okay? And you can you can
-
interpret it, you can misinterpret it.
-
So you know so you don't take that and
-
change your life about that. But you
-
take that and you just begin to keep
-
rolling that and see if it keeps coming
-
back up or if it was just the pizza you
-
had, you know, the day before. Just have
-
to see. But anyway, we begin to just get
-
glimpses of um a church. And we'd finish
-
praying and I'd make the statement to
-
there were like five or six of us. I'd
-
make the statement. I'd say, "Keep
-
running. I across something. It it uh it
-
looks like a church." And I keep saying,
-
"Lord, if I didn't know better, I'd
-
think that was a church that's kind of
-
that we keep running into when we pray."
-
and and uh you know, we'd talk about it.
-
We had were convinced that one of the
-
other people in that group was going to
-
be the one we're going to start a church
-
and one of them was going to pastor it
-
because I kept saying, "It's sure not
-
me, okay? I I'm I am an itinerant. I am
-
a born itinerant. I was born with a
-
steering wheel in my hand. I tell you
-
what, I'm I'm So anyway,
-
to speed my way through this, um, we
-
just, you know, we we we kept praying
-
about this, praying about it until all
-
of a sudden we knew that we knew that
-
what God was dealing with us to do was
-
to plant a local church. And I said,
-
Lord, I I prayed I've tried to pray my
-
way out of that. that I said, "Lord, I
-
don't understand what this could be
-
because I don't know how you go to the
-
nations for 19 years and then come back
-
and take a local church in a local
-
city." And we really knew that Tulsa was
-
the city. And I I said, "Lord, I don't
-
know how you do I don't know. I don't
-
know how you do that." And and and do
-
both. Go to the nations of the world and
-
also have a local church in the city. I
-
I don't understand. That doesn't make
-
any sense to me. And um but but I said,
-
'Lord, that does just it does not go
-
away. The more we pray, the bigger it
-
gets on the inside. This was uh this
-
would have been uh 1990,
-
it would have been rough roughly 1997, I
-
believe. And this this went on for off
-
and on for like a year and a half,
-
something like that. Uh I don't believe
-
in getting in a hurry, okay? I'm the I
-
am the turtle on muscle relaxers. Okay.
-
So, anyway,
-
to to speed this up, we kept getting
-
closer and closer, we found a place to
-
meet. We we found East Central High
-
School.
-
There you go.
-
What a spot. Uh and we live to tell.
-
But, uh it was just a a number of weeks
-
before we're going to start the first
-
Sunday in in August. And I kept
-
thinking, I just don't know. I won't go
-
into why, but there was a lot of reasons
-
why I just didn't know if this was going
-
to work or not. Um, a lot of things were
-
happening. Um, well, anyway, uh, just
-
didn't know for sure. And so, Pastor
-
Janet and I, this was before either one
-
of us was called pastor, we we were
-
doing a meeting uh, in the Houston,
-
Texas area, and we had an afternoon off,
-
and we said uh, we'd been to Brother
-
Ostein's church, Lakewood Church. Uh,
-
he'd built a beautiful new building, I
-
think maybe 8,000 seats. I'm not real
-
sure what it was at that time. Uh this
-
is when he was still the pastor. Uh this
-
was before Joel Ostein came along. He
-
was there, but he was kind of doing the
-
TV work, I think, if I remember right.
-
Well, so we uh we said, "Let's drive
-
over there and just I just want to see
-
the building." You know, we we knew
-
Brother Ostein from the fact that both
-
of us had worked for Brother Hagen at
-
one time or another. Brother Hagen, I
-
was very close to Brother Ostein and
-
we'd go do meetings down with him. We'd
-
sometimes run his product table, run his
-
prayer lines and whatever. And um
-
actually from 197 January 1975 on, we
-
would I was able to be in brother
-
Ostein's church at different times with
-
brother Hagen. And just that's where
-
that's where people say, "Where'd you
-
get your where'd you get your call to
-
the nations?" I I kept saying, "I don't
-
know. I don't know." And then one day I
-
thought, "I do know. I got it from being
-
in Brother Ostein's church for a week."
-
Nations is such a tangible thing. being
-
in there for a week. When I came out, I
-
was not the same person. It's a tangible
-
something that got on the inside of me
-
and it's never gone away. That's a few
-
years ago. So, we uh we said, "Well,
-
we're going to drive over there. We'll
-
go to Brother Ostein's and just see if
-
we can just walk around the campus,
-
maybe go in the front door, take a look
-
at it, whatever. Don't want to bother
-
anybody. We just want to go take a
-
look." So, we went over there and uh you
-
know, we we went to the church and uh
-
whoever we talked to said, "Uh, oh,
-
we'll have a man that'll that will um
-
give you a tour of the campus." We said,
-
"Well, yeah, that's great if if you have
-
somebody that can do that." Here was
-
this taller, stately, older gentleman.
-
Older's relative.
-
Yes, it is. And and um so we said, you
-
know, and she said, "He'll he'll he'll
-
walk you around the campus, show you the
-
campus." And so he came and showed up.
-
He's going to show us inside the
-
auditorium and all that. And and just
-
the kindest, amazing gentleman. We
-
finally said, "Uh, do you know brother,
-
brother Olstein?" He said, "Yeah, yeah."
-
Said, "You know, how long have you known
-
him?" "Oh, a long time. Where did you
-
meet him?" said, "I'm the one that got
-
him saved.
-
I'm wherever you're going, I'm following
-
you." What? So, so he showed us around
-
and of course about that time his his
-
radio goes off and he said, "Brother
-
Ostein's on his way in. He heard you two
-
were at the at the church and he was
-
home. He wanted to come here and see
-
you. I said, "Are you sure? This is
-
Brother Ostein we're talking about." I
-
was I wasn't sure that he really knew
-
us. I didn't know. So anyway, he said,
-
"Yeah, he's on his way in." So he came
-
in. We went upstairs to his office and
-
uh he began he was just the kindest
-
probably one of the probably one of the
-
greatest men I've ever met in the gospel
-
and every other way. He just carried
-
something about him. carried the world
-
on the inside of him for one thing. And
-
uh he uh
-
so we're sitting there and and he you
-
know he's just he's just friendly
-
talking with us and I thought I can't
-
stand it anymore. I knew he'd been uh
-
frontier evangelist. I knew he'd done
-
frontier evangelism. I knew he'd been in
-
the Philippine Islands. I knew he was
-
somewhere in Asia when the Holy Ghost
-
spoke to him and said, "Go back to
-
Houston and take Lakewood Baptist
-
Church. Become the pastor. It's
-
available. you become the pastor of
-
that? Now, I knew that much just I'd
-
heard that. And so I said, "R brother, I
-
want to can I ask you a question." He
-
said, "Sure, go ahead." And I said, "How
-
long did you travel the nations of the
-
world before you came back here and
-
became pastor of Lakewood Baptist
-
Church?" He said, "Well, let's see. It
-
was" and he starts counting and all of a
-
sudden he stopped. He said, "Why?
-
Got something on your heart?" And I
-
said, "Well, I don't know for sure." We
-
were just weeks away from our first
-
service and I thought I don't know
-
whether to have a service or to pack up
-
and leave town and just not come back
-
for a couple of years. I don't know what
-
to do. And he said, "You got something
-
in your heart?" And I said, "Well, uh,
-
maybe." You know, didn't want to commit
-
myself right then. So, Pastor Janet and
-
I were sitting there in his office. He
-
said, "What is it?" I said, "Well, um,
-
maybe a a church." And I thought, "If I
-
can even say if I can verbalize that,
-
it's a big start." Said, "Maybe maybe
-
maybe a church." And uh so he asked us a
-
couple questions and he said uh well he
-
said now I'll say this I don't know I
-
don't know if God's telling you to start
-
a church or not. He said that's your
-
department. You got to figure that one
-
out. I thought you are no help at all.
-
You [laughter] know you could you give
-
us a word something. He said I don't
-
know but he said but I will I will say
-
one thing. You know sometimes somebody
-
can make a statement that'll change your
-
life. And when it comes from somebody
-
like that that's walked the walk talked
-
the talk lived the life. He said, 'I I I
-
I can't say if it's right or wrong.
-
That's your department. You're because
-
whatever you do, you're going to have to
-
live with it. Okay? Whether it's good,
-
whether it's wrong, whether it's right,
-
you got to live with it. He said, but I
-
will say this sometimes,
-
well, honestly, he said, you'll never,
-
you know, you're wondering what can this
-
work? How will this work? Said you'll
-
never touch the world without a power
-
base. That's what I'm trying to get to.
-
I want to just cover a few things today.
-
We'll have to we'll pick up another time
-
and cover more of this. But he just sat
-
there quietly said, "You'll never touch
-
the world." See, my question was, "How
-
can we continue to touch the world if we
-
if we have start a church in Tulsa,
-
Oklahoma? How can we do that?" And he
-
makes this statement. He says, "You'll
-
never never touch the world without a
-
power base." And I thought, "Yeah, he's
-
been to the nations of the world, came
-
back, took this little church with about
-
200 people, stayed in there for years,
-
and it began to grow and multiply, and
-
now we're in his church of about 8,000
-
seats, and they can't get all the people
-
in." something happened.
-
>> He said, "You'll never touch the world
-
without a power base." And I will say
-
this, he said, "Sometimes God will send
-
you to the He's just not going to leave
-
me alone.
-
Sometimes God will send you to the
-
nations so he can bring you back home
-
where you can touch the whole world." He
-
said, "That's what he did with me." He
-
said, "I touch the whole world every
-
week." He said, "I send back that's the
-
days of, you know, videotapes and all
-
that." He said, "I touch the world every
-
Sunday." He said, "I go all over. I
-
don't know how many nations I'm in. I
-
don't know how many cities I'm in. I
-
don't know how many places I'm in. All I
-
know is I preach it here and they take
-
it and send it all over the world. I
-
preach in here and I touch the nations
-
of the world. He said, I get to I get to
-
touch the whole world from one place and
-
I can still go anytime, any place I need
-
to go and any place I want to go. I can
-
I can still go anywhere. I still have
-
the ability to do that.
-
I thought, okay, solved. So, we he
-
prayed with us. uh really told us we
-
could within a few weeks time just
-
before we I think we just started the
-
church. He said uh come back down some
-
Sunday afternoon, come for the evening
-
service. He said, "I'll I'll pray for
-
you here." We said, "That'd be good. We
-
needed somebody just pray for us and
-
needed some help." So we did. We went
-
after service, flew down to Houston,
-
went to the church, and uh we thought he
-
was just going to call us up, you know,
-
back to his office afterward. Middle of
-
a service, he said, "Mark and Janet, I
-
see you out there. Come up to the front.
-
I need to pray for you two. Church full
-
of people." thought, "Boy, there's no
-
nothing like, you know, going public
-
with we're going to start a church."
-
But he called us up, had us get down on
-
our knees, laid his hands on us, and
-
prayed for us. Holy Ghost came on us.
-
God imparted something into our lives
-
that changed us forever. So anyway,
-
anyway, we got our vision by sitting in
-
John Ostein's office. Basically, he
-
said, "You'll never touch the world
-
without a power base." My question after
-
that was, Lord, what's a power base?
-
What's the power base? I've never been
-
actively in a church. The minute I got
-
my life right with God, I went to a
-
couple churches for a short time.
-
Brother Hagen started Rama. I got a
-
couple suitcases, flew out here, began
-
to work for him, and stayed on the road
-
with him for at that time for a few
-
years. So, I said, "Lord, I've never
-
been around what you'd call a a power
-
base. I don't even know what that is.
-
You're going to have to give us some
-
instruction for that." Well, you know,
-
you have not because you
-
>> ask not. ask and you shall receive that
-
your joy may be full. So, we're praying
-
about this and if you want to look at it
-
now, we'll just take a few minutes and
-
we're going to look over at the 13th
-
chapter of the book of Acts.
-
I said, Lord, I said, Lord, we've been
-
to
-
I have no idea how many churches we've
-
been to. We've been to churches all over
-
the world. We've been to churches all
-
over Europe. We've been to churches all
-
over Central uh South America. We've
-
been to churches in Asia. We've been to
-
churches in Australia. Lord, I said,
-
Lord, we've been everywhere. And I said,
-
I don't mean this wrong, but if you
-
said, pick a church out that you feel
-
like that's what it's if you're going to
-
start a church, this is what it's
-
supposed to look like. I said, Lord, if
-
you told me to do that, I'd be in
-
trouble because I cannot take I can't
-
think of a church right now that I would
-
say this is what I feel like it's
-
supposed to look like. Not that one's
-
good, one's bad, one's ugly. It's not
-
like that. It's just I I have not seen
-
one that looked like anything like it
-
registered on the inside. So I said,
-
"Lord, if we're going to start
-
something, I I need to know what the
-
vision is. What's this supposed to look
-
like?" Well, we did really nothing more
-
than just say, "Lord, what is this
-
supposed to look like?" And the Holy
-
Ghost took us to Acts the 13th chapter
-
and gave us the the vision. This is the
-
church that changed the world. Okay? And
-
I'll I'll back up a little bit with
-
this. If you go back through there,
-
Jesus had given instructions to his
-
disciples. We know the 14 24th chapter
-
of Matthew's gospel, verse 14, um the
-
disciples said, you know, Lord, when
-
shall these things come to pass? What
-
will be the signs of your coming and of
-
the end of the world? That's first part
-
of 24th chapter of Matthew. And then
-
verse 14, Jesus said, and
-
and he gave him an absolute and this
-
gospel of the kingdom shall be preached.
-
shall you don't get much better than
-
that. This gospel of the kingdom shall
-
be preached in all the world for a
-
witness to every nation. They said,
-
"Lord, what's going to be the sign of
-
your coming and of the end of the age?"
-
Okay, you asked, you get it? This gospel
-
of the kingdom, not another one, not
-
part of one, not just twothirds of a
-
gospel, not the part you like,
-
not the powerless one. This gospel of
-
the kingdom shall be preached in all the
-
world for witness to
-
>> every nation.
-
every nation. Every nation. He gave him
-
instructions. This gospel of the kingdom
-
shall be preached in all the world for
-
witness to every nation. Then the end is
-
going to come. Well, that's pretty
-
plain. He said, "This gospel, every
-
nation." Okay. Well, then you go over to
-
Mark 16:15. Jesus talking to his
-
disciples. He said, "Go into all the
-
world. Go into all the world. Preach the
-
gospel to every creature." He didn't he
-
didn't delete anybody. The good, the
-
bad, the ugly, doesn't matter. Go into
-
all the world, preach the gospel to
-
every creature. He that believes and is
-
baptized shall be saved. He that
-
believes not shall be damned, and these
-
signs shall follow them that believe. In
-
my name, they'll cast out devils.
-
They'll speak with new tongues. And we
-
know the the the whole thing there. But
-
notice he said, "Go into all the world,
-
preach the gospel to every creature."
-
So, we got Matthew 24:14. We got Markap
-
16:15. Then you got Acts chapter 1 vers8
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
when the disciples were talking to Jesus
-
about when you coming back. And he said,
-
"It's not for you to know the times, but
-
Acts 1:8, but you shall receive power
-
after the Holy Ghost has come upon you,
-
and you shall be witnesses unto me to
-
every Jew you can find." Is that what he
-
said?
-
>> No. No. He said he said uh he said acts
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
chapter 1 vers8 uh this gospel talked
-
about this you when you when you coming
-
back what can we know he said he said uh
-
talk to his disciples and he said this
-
gospel this gospel this gospel this
-
gospel all the world every nation every
-
tongue every kindred every tribe isn't
-
that what he said Acts chapter 1 vers8
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
go into all the world every creature
-
every okay so he's giving given him the
-
end result on that. Acts chapter 1:8
-
this gospel of the kingdom shall be
-
preached all the world witness to every
-
nation then the end's going to come. You
-
can't get much plainer. So we got
-
Matthew 24 we got Mark 16 we got Acts
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
chapter 1 and that's just a few. Jesus
-
for his really three and a half years of
-
earthly ministry, he kept telling his
-
disciples, "Every nation, all the world,
-
every creature,
-
every creature, not just every Jewish
-
creature, every creature, every
-
creature." Isn't that what he said? So,
-
they've got their instructions and then
-
he leaves.
-
He's given them their directions. Cloud
-
receives him up out of their sight and
-
they're standing there gazing up into
-
heaven. And the angel said, "Why stand
-
you gazing up into heaven?" this same
-
Jesus is coming back in the same manner
-
is leaving in go get busy.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> So they got busy and so for the next six
-
years they went everywhere. He said he
-
said um talked about Jerusalem, Judea,
-
Samaria and the uttermost parts of the
-
world. Man, they nailed it in Jerusalem.
-
They didn't go anywhere else. And six
-
years later,
-
six years later, Stephen was stoned. He
-
had so he had so many miracles they took
-
him out and stoned him. I want miracles.
-
I don't know if I want that many, you
-
know, but
-
but anyway. Anyway, and so the disciples
-
were because of the persecution, they're
-
spreading out. Isn't it interesting?
-
They spread, you can read Acts chapter
-
uh chapter 8 verse one, first couple
-
verses. And they went to Judea and they
-
went to Jerusalem. And I thought that's
-
where he told them to go to start with.
-
Acts 18. Okay. You'll receive power
-
after the Holy Ghost has come upon you
-
and you'll be witnesses unto me both in
-
Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria and the
-
uttermost parts of the world. They got
-
as far as Jerusalem got stuck.
-
And so now Stephen gets stoned. They
-
decided I think we'll move.
-
So they went out uh you know they they
-
they got busy out there went to Judea
-
Samaria. That's where he told them to
-
go. They didn't go by choice. They went
-
by out of persecution.
-
And and if short course on this, if you
-
read that's six years after the
-
resurrection for six years, they didn't
-
take it anywhere other than Jerusalem
-
and and the Jewish nation. They just
-
didn't get it. Like somebody said, they
-
were looking at the gospel through
-
religious colored glasses. They just
-
didn't get it. Okay? And really, Acts
Acts 8 chapter mention
-
chapter 8 said they went to Jerusalem,
-
Judea, Samaria. They went everywhere
-
except the apostles.
-
You can read Acts chapter 8 verse 1 2
-
and 3. The apostles they were the only
-
one they didn't believe. They were the
-
ones he gave the instructions to. Now
-
I'm not going I'm not criticizing them.
-
I don't want to see them on the other
-
side and have them say you really you
-
really Anyway,
-
but they didn't go. It said they went
-
everywhere except the apostles. They
-
didn't go anywhere. So we see this and
-
to bring it down to the end for what
-
we've got for today, I'll finish it with
-
this. we uh
-
they wouldn't go anywhere. What what you
-
what you going to do? I mean, if you
-
know, if you if you hired somebody to
-
come paint your house and they painted
-
the front door knob
-
and they came back the next day and
-
painted painted the front door knob and
-
they came back the next week and painted
-
the front and you know, six months
-
later, you've got layers of paint on the
-
front door knob. Well, we painted it.
-
Yeah, but you you did the painting, but
-
you didn't paint what I told you to
-
paint. What do you think God's going to
-
do with that? He told us to go to every
-
nation, every tongue, every kindred,
-
every tribe. And they're stuck there in
-
Israel. And a couple of them headed out
-
to Jerusalem and Judea.
-
But they didn't go beyond that. What's
-
he going What's he going to do? Okay.
-
He's not going to he's not going to
-
start a new ministry gift. Apostle,
-
prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher,
-
and obedient.
-
Not going to start a new He's not going
-
to start a new ministry gift. Not going
-
to start a Not going to start a new
-
spiritual gift.
-
What's he going to do? How's he If this
-
gospel doesn't go to the nations of the
-
world, then the if it doesn't, then
-
redemption
-
is worthless.
-
>> If it doesn't go to the nations of the
-
world, then the job didn't get done.
-
This is not just for Jerusalem. It's not
-
just it's not just for the Jews. This is
-
every nation, every tongue, so on. But
-
they're not going. So what's he do? He
-
doesn't start a new ministry gift. He
-
doesn't start a new spiritual gift.
-
What's he do? He starts a new church.
-
There's only one way to fix this. The
-
church in Jerusalem wasn't doing their
-
job. Well, I know. Let me say this. They
-
weren't doing the job he gave them to do
-
concerning the nations of the world as
-
far as we can tell. All right? I don't
-
want to criticize them. I'm not don't
-
want to get on bad side. But they
-
weren't going anywhere with that. So,
-
all of a sudden, here goes some of these
-
guys that were running for their life.
-
They go to a few different cities and
-
and some of them went to a place called
-
Antioch.
-
They go to Antioch and they start
-
preaching. First thing it says they be
-
they start preaching to the Greeks.
-
Can you believe that? They're breaking
-
all the laws, the rules, the
-
regulations. They're they're they're
-
they're preaching to the Greeks and lots
-
of people got saved. They just hadn't
-
heard before. Nobody took time to take
-
the good news to them. Lots of people
-
got saved. You can find that in I
-
believe the 11th chapter of the book of
-
Acts. People start getting saved and so
-
they went Jerusalem heard about this. So
-
they send Barnabas. Okay. He goes over
-
there. He's a good man, full of faith,
-
full of the Holy Ghost. He's a great
-
guy. He's a loving guy. And he goes over
-
and he kind of takes over the work. Uh
-
they never called him pastor. I don't
-
know what he was called, but anyway, he
-
just took over the work. So he's over
-
there at this place called Antioch. Lots
-
of people getting saved. Lots of
-
non-Jewish people getting saved. lots of
-
Greek speakaking people getting saved.
-
Lots going on over there and and um
-
I love the fact that all of a sudden he
-
realizes he he can't do all this by
-
himself. So, isn't it interesting if you
-
read that you can find it for yourself?
-
He did not go back to Jerusalem to get
-
help.
-
>> Did he?
-
>> Some of you just looking at me. You can
-
read it. He didn't go back to Jerusalem
-
and say, "Man, I got to have some guy
-
send me some help." No. What'd he do? He
-
headed out and found a guy named Saul of
-
Tarsus. He found what who we would later
-
call the Apostle Paul. Why did he go
-
after Paul instead of after Jerusalem?
-
Why did he go after this guy out in the
-
middle of nowhere that's already been
-
famous for killing Christians? Why did
-
he go find him instead of going to
-
Jerusalem and just getting getting more
-
of the people that already knew what he
-
knew and believed what he believed and
-
they got the same DNA? Why did he go
-
after Paul?
-
Because this is going to be a different
-
kind of church, different different
-
course, a different direction, different
-
DNA. And he's got to find somebody. The
-
difference between Jerusalem at the
-
time, they knew the death, burial, and
-
resurrection of Jesus. But this guy
-
named Saul had been caught up to the
-
third heaven, heard things unlawful to
-
be uttered. He he had he didn't know as
-
much about the death, burial, and
-
resurrection. He just knew what took
-
place between the death and the
-
resurrection. He knew redemption. He
-
knew what took place in there between
-
times. He knew what happened those three
-
days. He saw what it was all like. And
-
the church needed redemption.
-
>> So he went to find a guy that knew
-
didn't just know the death, burial, and
-
resurrection. Just didn't know exactly
-
what the cross looked like. He went and
-
found the guy that had been to the third
-
heaven, found out what was going on and
-
knew the gospel, knew redemption,
-
brought him back, and they got together
-
and they taught the church there in
-
Antioch. They taught it for a year
-
straight.
-
Can you imagine sitting under Saul of
-
Tarsus, listening to him preach
-
redemption to you for a solid year?
-
>> That's when you want to take a good
-
notebook with you. Yeah,
-
>> he heard things unlawful to be uttered.
-
I don't know if he talked about that or
-
not, but he was teaching for he had Paul
-
and Barnabas and Saul. They're teaching
-
for a whole year.
-
Teaching for teaching redemption for and
-
you notice the next part of that, I
-
think it's the end of verse 11 said,
-
"And they were called.
-
>> What were they called there?
-
>> First place, they were called believers.
-
They were they were called a lot of
-
different names, but the first place
-
they were called Christians was in
-
>> Antioch. Christian means
-
>> Christlike because all of a sudden now
-
you got a bunch of people. They're not
-
just good folks. They're like Jesus.
-
They're they're they're
-
partakers of the gospel. They've been
-
sitting for a year learning the death,
-
burial, resurrection of Jesus. Learn
-
what he did for the three days when he
-
was we couldn't see him. His body was
-
buried. what happened before he was
-
raised from the dead. Those those three
-
days, where was he? What was he doing?
-
Paul knew that. That's why we have the
-
Pauline epistles cuz what he knew, what
-
he saw, what he learned. And so they're
-
they're learning all that. And let's
-
finish with this. Okay, we we can go for
-
hours on this, but anyway. Anyway, so
-
you've got this church in Antioch, got
-
Barnabas and Saul that I don't know what
-
they were. I don't know what their title
-
was. I don't know who was the leadership
-
of the church. I don't know. I've read
-
it hundreds of times. There's a lot I
-
don't know about yet. I'm going to learn
-
some one of these days if it's
-
available. But then here's the part I
-
want to finish up with. And then when
-
God really starts stirring us about a
-
vision for what he wants the church to
-
be like, um, I how you get it there, we
-
didn't know. How you get it there, we
-
still don't know. You got it not by
-
might, not by power, but
-
>> by the spirit of God. It's the only way
-
to do it is by the Holy Ghost. And you
-
got to be connected with him.
-
>> Gotta got to go with the flow. Got to
-
follow the inside. But anyway, let's
-
just go through this quickly. Some other
-
time we'll spend more time with it. But
-
if you go back to Acts 13:1, this is the
-
church at Antioch.
-
They've had a Bible school for a year.
-
That's what I call it. They got the
-
whole church, Barnabas and Paul, Saul.
-
They're they're they're
-
ministering for a solid year. Can you
-
imagine what those people must have
-
known? No wonder they changed the world.
-
>> But anyway, anyway, Acts 13:1 says, "Now
-
there were, now that we're in the what?
-
There's like four or five things we'll
-
just land on real quick and then another
-
time we'll pick up there." Acts 13:1
-
says, "Now there, you know, is was this
-
just a good Bible study? Was this a good
-
um missions outreach team?" No. Says,
-
"Now there were," you can read it. Sound
-
now there were now that we're in the
-
>> church.
-
>> The what?
-
>> Church.
-
>> The what?
-
>> Church.
-
>> There's a Before anything else, it was a
-
church. God's into churches. God's into
-
churches. Everything else is important.
-
Evangelism's important. Frontier
-
evangelism is important. Teaching
-
centers are important. Bible schools are
-
those things are all vitally important.
-
But before it was anything else, it was
-
a church. Now there were in the
-
>> church which was at Antioch. First thing
-
God wanted us to know is this is the
-
operation of this place will you know
-
I've had people used to say well what
-
you have working in your lives it won't
-
work in the local church I thought
-
you're reading the wrong verses because
-
now there were in the
-
>> church which was at Antioch certain now
-
notice it let's let's see what this
-
place looked like if we can see what the
-
church at Antioch looked like we'll know
-
really a lot parts of what God wants us
-
to look like now there were in the
-
church which was at Antioch certain
-
prophets and teachers So in this church
-
first and foremost it's a supernatural
-
place.
-
>> Take out the supernatural, you've just
-
lost the church. Now they were in the
-
church which was at Antioch. Certain
-
>> prophets and teachers, not dry, dull,
-
dead teachers like they had under the
-
law. These are Holy Ghost anointed
-
teachers. Now they were in the church
-
which was at Antioch. Certain prophets
-
and teachers.
-
Okay. And what are they doing back there
-
now? They're not running the place. It
-
just there's a it's a place they could
-
be comfortable. God began to deal with
-
us. Make sure your church has a place
-
where ministers can feel comfortable.
-
Okay? It doesn't mean you're going to
-
put them to work all the time. It means
-
they're going to be able to be
-
comfortable in a place like that. Maybe
-
be used maybe be used by the Holy Ghost.
-
But that's what that is the Antioch
-
church. He starts out first thing there
-
were in the church which was at Antioch
-
certain prophets and teachers such as
-
I'll give you well Barnabas and Saul and
-
Simeon and so on and Saul.
-
There are certain prophets and teachers.
-
Now we don't know was it the whole
-
church in there? I don't know. Were
-
there more ministry gifts in there? I
-
don't know. He just gave us the names of
-
those five such as Barnabas and Simeon
-
and Lucius ofSirene and and Manan who
-
had been a foster brother with Herod the
-
tark and so we've got a few names in
-
there said uh as they now notice here's
-
what we're looking for. You've got these
-
gifts in there but as they ministered to
-
the Lord
-
they didn't just sit in there have Bible
-
studies. They didn't minister to each
-
other. They didn't just run around
-
giving each other words. No, as they
-
ministered, what were these gifts doing?
-
They're ministering to the Lord. This is
-
a place. This the the the first function
-
we can see in the church at Antioch was
-
they ministered to the Lord. It was a
-
place. Minister means pray, praise,
-
worship, sing praises, linger in his
-
presence.
-
>> Ministering to the Lord means you
-
minister. Don't not even minister about
-
him or minister about you.
-
>> How bad it's been, how bad it's getting,
-
what are we going to do with all the bad
-
stuff. This is not about ministering to
-
us or for us or through us or about us.
-
They ministered to the Lord. As they
-
ministered to the Lord,
-
well, they're what do they're
-
ministering to him? What happens as they
-
ministered to the Lord? The Holy Ghost
-
said, what did they do? They set things
-
up where they could talk to God and he
-
could talk back to them.
-
>> A church that doesn't have space for God
-
to reply.
-
>> Something's wrong.
-
>> As they ministered to the Lord and
-
fasted, the Holy Ghost said,
-
>> "Man, it's a I love this. It's a church
-
where God can talk."
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> The Holy Ghost said, "Separate unto me."
-
It was a place of separation. God could
-
take the best gifts he's got and could
-
separate them and launch them to the
-
nations of the world. didn't get any
-
better than Barnabas and Saul. But it
-
said as as they ministered to the Lord
-
and fasted, the Holy Ghost said,
-
"Separate unto me Barnabas and Saul, for
-
the work room to He'd already called
-
them. He just needed the church to send
-
them. Churches ought to be sending
-
places.
-
>> It ought to be a place where people can
-
be launched into what they're called to
-
do."
-
Now, there's a lot more to it than that.
-
As they ministered to the Lord and
-
fasted, the Holy Ghost said, "Separate
-
unto me Barnabas and Saul for the worker
-
and to have called them." And when
-
they'd fasted and prayed, they laid
-
there. It ought to be a place for the
-
laying on of hands. The local church
-
ought to be a place where laying on of
-
hands is a doctrine of Christ.
-
>> Hebrews chapter 6, you find it in there.
Hebrews 6 chapter mention
-
As they ministered to the to the Lord
-
and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, you
-
know, and and when they'd fasted and
-
prayed, they laid their hands on them.
-
Well, why' they do that? God's a God of
-
impartations.
-
Contact of hands transmits his virtue
-
into their beings. What are they doing?
-
They're passing something on. These guys
-
have got something to do. They need all
-
the help they can get. As they laid
-
their hands on him, as they fasted and
-
prayed, laid their hands on them, the uh
-
they and they launched them out. I've
-
got to find a place to quit here. And
-
they departed to solution and and went
-
out. And let's just finish it with this.
-
When they launched out of that place,
-
they had the church behind them. Church
-
sent them out. They've already prayed.
-
They've already fasted. They've already
-
spoke to them. All that. The only thing
-
I can think of to send them out was to
-
do it financially.
-
They got to have some money to go where
-
they're going to go. I don't know how
-
this all happened, but that they must
-
have been in a generous church.
-
>> Well, we're there.
-
>> This is a generous place.
-
>> Yes, it is. We'll touch the world over
-
the how however much time we got left.
-
As they ministered to the Lord and
-
fasted, the Holy Ghost said separate.
-
They did that and they launched him out
-
of there and they be and they being sent
-
forth by the Holy Ghost departed to
-
solution headed out there. Well,
-
I don't know. I've studied the best I
-
can and best I can tell is in the days
-
to come the Apostle Paul was responsible
-
for starting 20 churches and 20 nations.
-
You know, you can't do a lot better than
-
that. in 101 15 years started 20
-
churches. No internet, no FaceTime,
-
>> no Tik Tok. They He didn't have
-
anything. He didn't have anything except
-
the anointing of God.
-
>> Started started 20 churches. Wrote
-
letters. Start started the Pauline
-
epistles. Wrote letters to the churches.
-
Changed our lives. It's what we live in
-
today. Anyway, we got to get stopped
-
here. We could go on for hours, but
-
anyway, if you read the 13th chapter of
-
the book of Acts, the first three, four
-
chapters, you'll get a general idea of
-
what God wants us to look like. And I
-
will finish it with this phrase.
-
What was it all about? Separate Barnabas
-
and Saul. He didn't send everybody out,
-
just sent those two out. Separate
-
Barnabas and Saul for the work to I've
-
called them. When they fasted and
-
prayed, they laid their hands on him,
-
sent him forth. They being sent forth by
-
the Holy Ghost departed to solution.
-
some and in in the years to come they
-
started over 20 churches in difficult
-
regions beyond. Everything was about
-
planting churches.
-
Everything was about planting churches.
-
Everything was about It wasn't just
-
about having a nice local church. That's
-
great. Yeah, you need that. It wasn't
-
just about having a nice local church.
-
It was about planting churches in the
-
nations of the world. That's what the
-
call was all about. That's why God went
-
so far out of his way to make sure the
-
anointing of God got on them to equip
-
them to launch them out planting
-
churches.
-
I can't say a whole lot more about that
-
right now because I don't know a whole
-
lot more. But I do know one thing God
-
stirred in our hearts and back 1997
-
of the things that he stirred on the
-
inside of us with the day the day would
-
come when we'd be able to plant Antioch
-
churches in different regions of the
-
world. And I believe it. Somebody says,
-
"How you going to do it?" But I haven't
-
got that part.
-
I I I got the what, I just haven't got
-
the how. So, let's all stand to our
-
feet.
-
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you
-
so much for this. Yes. Thank you, Lord.
-
Thank you for this service. What's being
-
done, what will be done, what's going to
-
take place, what shall take place, your
-
will, your plan, your purpose in the
-
lives of all of us. Father, I thank you.
-
Thank you for this place spiritually and
-
m and uh and even numerically. Thank you
-
Lord. This place will grow and grow and
-
grow and grow and grow. Not just grow in
-
this city but grow in the nations of the
-
world. Thank you father for raising up
-
this house for what you have for it to
-
do. And we're grateful for it. We thank
-
you in Jesus name.
-
Hallelujah.
-
>> And while heads are bowed and eyes are
-
closed, Christians are praying.
-
If you're in here today and you say,
-
"Pastor Mark, I I don't know. I I'm just
-
not right with God. I I you know, I I've
-
been to church or I haven't been to
-
church. I never been saved or I got
-
saved at one time, but I'm just away
-
from God, and I want to get that right
-
before I leave here today. Would you
-
pray for me?"
-
There's nothing like knowing you're away
-
from God. That's a horrible thing. And
-
on the other side, there's nothing like
-
knowing you're connected with God.
-
Hallelujah. that you're walking with
-
him, upright before him, in good place
-
with him. If you're right with God, not
-
I'm not saying you cut somebody off in
-
traffic this morning. Maybe you did,
-
maybe you didn't. I don't know. But if
-
you can say, "I'm just I'm just not
-
right with God. I'm not right with God.
-
It's not his fault. I'm just I'm just
-
away from him." I've been there. A lot
-
of you have been there. But once you've
-
been there, you don't ever want to go
-
there again.
-
If that's you, wave your hand at me. I
-
want to pray for you. I'm not going to
-
embarrass you. I want to pray for you.
-
Anybody here? Pray, Pastor Mark, pray
-
for me. I want to I want to get my life
-
back right with God. Maybe you've never
-
been there. Maybe you've been there
-
before.
-
I was there when I was in elementary
-
school. I remember [music] it walking up
-
right before God. By the time I got to
-
high school, I didn't know if I even
-
cared or not. By the time I got to
-
college, I wasn't sure if I really even
-
was sure I believed in him. I mean, I
-
had a lot of questions. Everything got
-
messed up. Bad friends, bad music,
-
bad stuff.
-
If that's you, wave your hand at me. I
-
want to pray for you.
-
Anyone here, just slip your hand up. Not
-
going to embarrass you. Just want to
-
pray for you.
-
Hallelujah. All right. Father, in the
-
name of Jesus, we thank you right now.
-
Thank you for what you've done this
-
morning and what you're doing this
-
morning. And we thank you for what's
-
coming in the days ahead. We thank you
-
in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. Amen.
-
Hallelujah. Praise God. We got one more
-
thing to do.
-
You going to take that? You want me to
-
take that or? No, you want me to take
-
that? Okay. I'm going to squeeze this
-
into briefly. Um, Pastor Jan and I have
-
been, we've gone to the nations, like I
-
said, I don't know, last I knew about
-
250 trips to the nations, give or take a
-
hundred, I don't know. But, um, been a
-
lot of places, been to 50ome nations, I
-
think. But, um,
-
there's a nation we've never been to.
-
People tried to get us to go for 40
-
years. I said, I don't want to go. No, I
-
don't want to go there. I couldn't tell
-
you. I don't want If you want to go,
-
talk to Joe. I'm not I don't want to go,
-
you know, just just no. It's just And uh
-
people kept saying, "You need to take a
-
you know, people said go with us. Go on
-
a tour group with us to Israel." I said,
-
"I don't do tour buses.
-
Just doesn't work for me. I'm a hermit.
-
I'll head for the woods. I'm just not
-
going to ride a tour bus." And not that
-
that's wrong or bad, just not good for
-
me. So anyway, make a long story short,
-
people talked to us for years about
-
going. had a lot of friends that took
-
trips, took tours, took churches, did
-
all that. Great.
-
And uh all I know is it was okay until
-
we got to praying.
-
And we got to praying what, a year and a
-
half ago, something like that.
-
Two years ago, we don't we don't get in
-
a rush. two years ago, we get to praying
-
and as we'd prayed, it was kind of like
-
when we prayed back in the late 90s and
-
all of a sudden there was a church. We
-
got to praying and all of a sudden we're
-
we're looking out on the streets of
-
Jerusalem and I'm going, I don't know
-
who that is, but that is not me. You
-
know, I'm I'm you know, they they they
-
shoot bombs at each other over there. I
-
you know, I've been around bad places,
-
but I I don't think that's us.
-
But it wouldn't go away. And it kept
-
getting bigger and bigger and bigger. So
-
all of a sudden we we contacted Joe. I
-
said, "If we're going, we're go if we're
-
going we're going with Joe Morris.
-
That's just all there is to it. I'm not
-
going to go with anybody else. Not
-
interested in going with anybody else."
-
And uh so we had a trip all planned and
-
uh I think it was early maybe early
-
October, year and a half ago.
-
October. Well, we had were ready to go
-
just before that. And I'm I'm walking
-
past a TV in a in a hotel. uh cafe thing
-
downstairs. And I look at the TV and
-
they're showing Israel being bombed by
-
Hamas and a war broke out in the 7th of
-
October. Yeah. A year and a half ago,
-
whatever it was, and Tel Aviv airport
-
was shut down. We had to cancel our
-
tickets. So, here we are two years
-
later. All of a sudden, it came back in
-
like a fury. And it just hasn't gone
-
away. So, we contact I mean short
-
suddenly notice.
-
So, we got hold of Call Joe. Like I
-
said, if you don't know, Call Joe.
-
>> If you're around here much, you know
-
that there's the hand of God's on on Joe
-
Morse for many things, but one of them
-
is one of them is what's going in the
-
Middle East. And so, we we called him
-
up, got him on the phone, said, "We're
-
thinking about going. You want to go?"
-
He said, "You know, I've got two weeks
-
in uh I got two weeks in February." And
-
he said, "I got nothing booked in there.
-
That just doesn't happen." So, yeah,
-
let's go. So, we leave tomorrow morning
-
at 10:30. We're heading for uh we're
-
we're going to go Yeah. [applause]
-
And so, uh we're going to we're going to
-
spend we're we're taking two parts of
-
the trip. We're going to spend half the
-
trip in Israel in Jerusalem. The other
-
half we're coming back through, um uh
-
Athens, Greece. Uh we used to have a
-
school there. We used to do meetings
-
there. Amazing place. So, uh we're going
-
to split it half and half. We're going
-
to start out in Jerusalem and we're
-
going to spend about five or six days
-
there, something like that. And then
-
we're going to come back through Greece
-
and spend about four days there and then
-
we're going to come back home. So
-
go ahead.
-
>> So when we're in obviously when we get
-
to Jerusalem, we're going to be with the
-
kois
-
>> at our firebase Israel and um some
-
interesting things have happened there.
-
Even just this last week, I'm telling
-
you uh things that they've been waiting
-
for for years uh have taken place this
-
last week. they were uh without going
-
into it, but God is moving in that
-
nation. So, but we're going with Joe.
-
Joe is going with us. [music] Whatever.
-
We're going with you. We're going to
-
follow your lead, brother. So, the last
-
couple weeks, we've been calling them
-
every day. Okay. Do you have still have
-
a piece about going? Things are getting
-
a little um
-
>> Iran. [music]
-
>> Busy over there in Iran. Yes. So, uh but
-
you know what? We have a peace. All
-
three of us. We said if any of us don't
-
we lose our peace, we're not going. I
-
[music] don't plan to spend my time in a
-
bomb shelter. So, um, but we all have
-
peace about it. We know that we're going
-
with an entourage of angels.
-
>> Sure.
-
>> Encamped around about us. No fear here.
-
>> So, um, so Joe, you come up and we're
-
going to do what he just preached about.
-
We're going to be sent out. Yeah.
-
>> From this place.
-
>> Um, [music] and so Joe will come. We had
-
asked Larry and Angela if you guys will
-
come um and pray over us. Clar and
-
Angela, for those of you who are maybe
-
newer to the church, we had schools for
-
many, many years throughout the world.
-
And they did um one of our first schools
-
in the Czech Republic and then they did
-
uh moved to Poland and they established
-
a church, transitioned into a church.
-
And so come over here, y'all. Why y'all
-
so far away? So where do you want us?
-
You We just want you to do what you
-
>> It's up to you.
-
>> You tell us where to go.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> Joe, ask Joe.
-
>> Joe knows.
-
>> Joe knows. If you don't know, ask Joe.
-
>> Turn around. You want to face the crowd?
-
>> Yeah, let's go.
-
>> Okay.
-
>> So, Father, in the name of Jesus, as a
-
[music] church body, as a family here,
-
we we surround our pastors and Joe with
-
faith [music] and love. And we thank you
-
that the angels encamp round about them,
-
that they should not even dash their
-
foot against the stone. [music] We thank
-
you, Father, that they'll know they'll
-
be at the right place at the right time
-
and [music] there'll be no harm to them
-
and they'll have great grace upon
-
[music] them, Father. They'll know where
-
to be at the right time. And we just
-
[music] thank you, Father, that it
-
impartations
-
from these nations and they'll take
-
impartations into these nations. Father,
-
we thank you. We thank you. They know
-
what to do. [music]
-
that you will speak to them in a way
-
that they'll it'll be
-
they'll know beyond a shadow of a doubt
-
the [music] things that supposed to
-
transpire, Father. And we just thank you
-
for it in Jesus' name.
-
>> And we thank you, Father God, for divine
-
utterance in prayer. [music]
-
Thank you, Father God, that they will
-
step right into a flow of prayer, Father
-
God, that will take them into some
-
deeper places even than they've not been
-
before. But thank you, Father God, that
-
air this trip is over. They will know
-
things they did not know before. They
-
will know in greater detail the where,
-
the [music] when, the how, with whom. It
-
will be crystal clear. And [music] so,
-
Father, we thank you for divine
-
protection over every piece of equipment
-
that they're on, every airport that they
-
enter, every vehicle that they take.
-
Father, thank you in the name of Jesus
-
for impartations.
-
And so, as a church body now, we send
-
them forth in the fullness of the
-
blessing of Christ in Jesus name. Thank
-
you, Lord. Thank you, Father.
-
Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord. Thank
-
you Lord. Thank you Lord. Thank you
-
Lord. Thank you father. Thank you
-
father. Thank you father. Thank you
-
Lord. Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord.
-
Thank you Lord. Thank you for father.
-
Thank you in Jesus name.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
>> Mighty mighty mighty.
-
>> Yes.
-
In Jesus name. And thank you that
-
they'll be a blessing and encouragement
-
to the kois as well.
-
>> Yeah. in Jesus name.
-
>> Do you have anything? Yeah, you're good.
-
Good. Okay.
-
Okay. We [music] we appreciate your
-
prayers and we appreciate your faith.
-
Um, and I don't say that lightly. It
-
means the world to us. We traveled for
-
years to the nations of the world
-
without a local church
-
family
-
holding the ropes for us. It's a world
-
of difference. World of difference to be
-
able to go and know know there's folks
-
that are keep they got their antennas up
-
and they're standing with us makes a
-
world. So, thank you. Thank you. Thank
-
you. We're g we'll come back with good
-
reports. And as we've always said,
-
whenever we go, whenever he sends us
-
places, we make sure that you are more
-
than well taken care of.
-
>> Thus, Annette Caps will be here on next
-
Sunday. [music]
-
We'll be in Israel, but Annette, so make
-
sure you're here. Also, this Wednesday
-
night, we have Robert going to be
-
covering the pullpit. So, come here,
-
Robert. And then the following Wednesday
-
night will be Pastor Bruce.
-
>> So, um, you guys are going to be in
-
great hands. We have full confidence in
-
God has sent and and um you'll be taken
-
care of well taken care of and then
-
we'll be back. We'll only miss one
-
Sunday. So we come back on the 20th. So
-
um thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
-
Thank you. Thank you.
-
>> We love and appreciate you. You mean the
-
world to us. Thank you.
-
Aren't you glad you came today?
-
Wow. Don't you love our pastors?
-
What an example, huh? Yeah. Let's just
-
give them
