Jesus said, "Let not your heart be
-
troubled." In John 14:1, "Let not your
-
heart be troubled. Believe in God,
-
believe also in me.
-
In my father's house are many mansions."
-
You know, those mansions aren't really
-
going to matter when we get there. Come
-
on, thank God. But, you know, when we
-
get there, he's all that's going to
-
matter.
-
>> If it were not so, listen to this very
-
carefully. If it were not so, I would
-
have told you. I go to prepare a place
-
for you.
-
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
-
I will come again to receive you to
-
myself.
-
That where I am, there you may be also.
-
I I would endeavor to say everything
-
that the Lord Jesus did when he stepped
-
out of time, out into time and space
-
and became a baby and grew up as a man,
-
as a human being, and took all of our
-
sin, all of our sickness. Come on,
-
somebody. All of the persecution, all of
-
the oh, chastisement for our peace. He
-
took everything.
-
Huh? took it to hell, paid the ultimate
-
price for it, came up out of there
-
victorious. Amen. Why? So that we could
-
be with him.
-
Huh? So that where I am, you can be.
-
You ever thought about that?
-
Yeah. I thank you, Lord. Everything
-
you've done for me, for this time on the
-
earth, I'm so grateful, man. I I know
-
what he's done. You know what he's done.
-
He's so good. He's met our needs. Come
-
on. He's even paid our bills at times.
-
Come on. He's healed our bodies. In
-
fact, we can walk in health because of
-
it. Listen, he he's he's done so many
-
good things. He's put us at the right
-
place at the right time. You know, all
-
this stuff is so good and I'm so
-
grateful. But there's something more
-
important. And that's the place he's
-
prepared for us to be with him for all
-
eternity. His heart motive is for us to
-
be with him forever. That's how much he
-
loves us.
-
Oh man, I think we all need to think
-
about that a little more some.
-
He said, "Let not your heart be
-
troubled."
-
You know, so many things in this life
-
just trouble, trouble, trouble.
-
It's time to trouble the troubler.
-
>> I know he's brought trouble to my life.
-
[snorts]
-
But I'm gonna give him some trouble. In
-
fact, right now I'm giving him some. He
-
don't like any of it. He don't like it
-
when I'm in my prayer room and I'm
-
praying and spending time with God on my
-
face. He hates that. He hates it when
-
I'm in the word and I'm I'm studying
-
God's word and and I'm praying for
-
tonight's sermon. Oh, he hates it. You
-
know why? Because God's going to move
-
and touch somebody's life and he don't
-
like that. Well, too bad. How sad.
-
because I get what I believe
-
>> and I've already believed it and I've
-
already expected something good to
-
happen for somebody in here tonight
-
>> because that's what it's all about. I'm
-
just the vessel but the master's in the
-
house and he wants to touch somebody.
-
That's what he does. I said that's what
-
he does. He touches people.
-
Man, I don't know where we're
-
Thank you, Lord.
-
You know, I'm learning as I do this
-
more. You know, there's something about
-
that room back there.
-
There is something about that room back
-
there. And uh but you know, I'm finally
-
getting to a place, and I'm just going
-
to be a little transparent here, that I
-
I just don't get so concerned anymore
-
when I'm looking at my notes that I've
-
spent weeks and weeks on meditating and
-
I'm going,
-
"Uh oh,
-
what is that? Where are we going here? I
-
don't even know what this means."
-
But he does.
-
He does. So we see here in in this first
-
verse of John chapter 14, let not your
John 14 chapter mention
-
heart be troubled. Believe in God,
-
believe also in me. And then he goes on
-
to teach his disciples that God is me
-
and I am God.
-
You need to believe this. They were so
-
hung up on the human side of Jesus that
-
they were missing the supernatural Jesus
-
who was God on the inside. And so they
-
were they they kept questioning some
-
things here. But then we get back down
-
here to verse 27. And I let me just
-
start at verse 26. And I want to read
-
this to you. It says this, "But the
-
helper, the Holy Spirit, whom [snorts]
-
the Father will send in my name, he will
-
teach you all things and bring to your
-
remembrance all things that I said to
-
you.
-
Peace
-
I leave you." That means peace is
-
available, somebody.
-
>> That means it's available.
-
>> Peace I leave you.
-
My peace I give to my peace I give to
-
you not as the world gives you know the
-
world's peace is very temporary you know
-
something good may happen and it's like
-
yeah oh I feel so much better and then
-
you know something else come along but
-
Jesus peace is eternal it comes up from
-
on the inside of our heart it's the joy
-
of the Lord down on the inside and when
-
we just look on the inside guess what
-
here comes peace it doesn't matter what
-
we're facing
-
>> all Right?
-
[snorts] Then he goes on to say, "Let
-
not your heart be troubled, neither let
-
it be afraid." It's amazing he said this
-
twice in the same chapter.
-
And one thing that I'm seeing in this
-
chapter is this is a verse that we've
-
been sitting on for some time here. And
-
that's verse 12. Most assuredly I say to
-
you, he who believes, let's just stop
-
there for a second, you know.
-
>> [clears throat]
-
>> We can say yes, I believe.
-
But do we?
-
Jesus said,"Most
-
assurely I say to you, he who believes
-
in me, the works that I do, he will do
-
also."
-
I've been [clears throat] challenged on
-
this.
-
The Lord has been challenging me on
-
this.
-
Because the troubler brings tribulation
-
to keep you from doing these works.
-
If he can keep us in the natural just
-
like the disciples kept getting stuck in
-
the natural side of Jesus, right? Not
-
realizing that he is God.
-
The troubles of this life,
-
the enemy's, he's real good at it.
-
In fact, sometimes we're real good at it
-
in our own life
-
because it's not the trouble that's the
-
issue. It's what we do with it when it
-
comes because it's coming,
-
right? What are we doing with it? That's
-
just the question. What are we doing
-
with it? But Jesus said, "He who
-
believes in me,
-
the works I do,
-
he will do.
-
Most assuredly I say to you, he who
-
believes in me,
-
the works I do, he will do also. And
-
greater works than these he will do
-
because I go to my father. And then he
-
goes on to say this.
-
Now, now you need to really think with
-
me here for a second that this is very
-
powerful words. This is the words of our
-
Lord and Master. These words are eternal
-
words. These words are full of power.
-
He upholds all things by the word of
-
his.
-
These are powerful words. He goes on to
-
say this. He said, "Whatever you ask in
-
my name." You know, that has to be
-
connected to his works.
-
This ain't going, "Well, I need a BMW."
-
Lord, give me a BMW. I ask for BMW. No,
-
that's not what he's talking about here.
-
HE'S TALKING ABOUT THE WORKS.
-
You know, as I was meditating on this, I
-
started to think about some things and
-
and I'll tell you a quick story of the
-
pond. Everybody want a pond story? So,
-
you know, we just had that cold weather
-
come through and and one afternoon I
-
went out to the pond and the water was
-
just fine. Nothing was frozen,
-
everything. And I had a what fountain
-
out there and I'm like, "Ah,
-
it'll be okay."
-
And then I got a text from mom
-
[laughter]
-
and everything was froze.
-
And I felt that
-
because it's a brand new fountain, man.
-
It's nice. And you know, you can't if it
-
freezes up and bursts, it's it's not
-
going to be any good. So, guess what? I
-
had to put on my
-
But, you know, I remember taking a big
-
old rock and I'm going to say, "Oh, it
-
can't be that thick."
-
And I threw it out there right by the
-
fountain, you know, out in the middle.
-
And it just bounced.
-
And I remember Pastor Mark talking
-
about,
-
you know, when you walk and you step out
-
in faith, sometimes you go, remember
-
when he was back in Michigan, you just
-
you just put your foot on that ice a
-
little bit and then you start to just
-
see see if it's good, if it's right, you
-
know, and you take another step, you
-
know.
-
Yeah. Catch what I'm saying there.
-
Anyway, so I had to get that out of
-
there. So, I had to put on the the big
-
boots
-
and I had to break the ice.
-
If I was going to get that out of there,
-
I had to break the ice all the way to
-
it. You know, the And it's cold.
-
And I don't like cold. I'm originally
-
from California, you know, so I'm still
-
not used to any of it. But I'm breaking
-
this ice and I'm breaking this ice and I
-
break that ice all the way. You see,
-
sometimes when we see somebody that's
-
sick, we got to break the ice.
-
If you believe,
-
if you believe, you will do these works.
-
Belief will make you take a step.
-
That's so good. I'm preaching myself
-
happy. It will make you take a step. If
-
you believe something, you can't be held
-
still.
-
I knew that that fountain was coming out
-
of that pond. So, I had to take some
-
hard steps to get it out. But guess
-
what? It came out and it's in good
-
shape. Praise God. Thank you, Jesus.
-
You know, one of the things that trouble
-
me is sick people.
-
If I see somebody in a wheelchair, I'm
-
troubled.
-
because uh we know who's behind that
-
and I really don't want to see him in
-
there.
-
And the biggest thing that I've dealt
-
with in my life
-
was what if something don't happen
-
or if I go over and pray with them or is
-
it going to make them feel bad or
-
uncomfortable
-
or if I would just be led by the spirit?
-
Because see, the spirit of God's going
-
to take you places you're not
-
comfortable with. If you think it's all
-
going to be an easy little, oh yes, it's
-
just a nice little glide. No, he is
-
going to take you places. It's not
-
comfortable. You'll have to step into
-
something that's going to challenge your
-
faith. And I think about guys like Smith
-
Wigglesworth who did not care. He was
-
not moved when he commanded something.
-
He did not give an option to another
-
answer.
-
>> This is going to happen because I know
-
who is in me and I know I can do these
-
works because I believe and he said if I
-
believe in him, I'm going to do those
-
works.
-
>> What keeps us from getting to that
-
point? Did you see that?
-
spit. [laughter]
-
I wasn't looking at you, though, so
-
we're good.
-
You know what I mean, though?
-
You know what I mean?
-
You know, it's one thing to see somebody
-
hurting and then just get all in your
-
heart and go, "Oh, man, I just hate
-
that."
-
But the love of God has been shed abroad
-
in our heart by the Holy Ghost.
-
The greater one is on the inside of us.
-
The same spirit that raised Jesus
-
straight out of the grave to the place
-
of all victory.
-
Come on, somebody.
-
So maybe it's time that we as believers
-
in the house and we start breaking some
-
ice.
-
>> Let's just believe.
-
Be led.
-
be led, but don't don't let being led be
-
an excuse to not do something
-
because you're saying in your, "Well,
-
I'm just not led."
-
We all know his voice. Jesus said it in
-
John chapter 10, "My sheep know my
John 10 chapter mention
-
voice."
-
And guess his will is what? To heal. to
-
set free, to deliver. And right here, it
-
tells us it's his will for us to do his
-
works,
-
to do his works. I'm excited about it.
-
I'm excited about it. Now, again, when I
-
say be led, I'm not going to just jump
-
out like Smith Wigglesworth and start
-
punching people and, you know, I'm just
-
not going to do that.
-
But I'm going to let the compassion of
-
Jesus Christ that blows up on the inside
-
of my heart move me to walk through
-
whatever I got to get through on this
-
side and all the troubles I got to deal
-
with to get to that place so that person
-
can be free.
-
>> That's what we're to do. We are the body
-
of Christ. That's what Jesus did. He
-
went around teaching.
-
>> He went around
-
>> and he went around
-
We know it. He's so good to us.
-
>> So, I find it interesting here that
-
right sandwiched between, "Do not let
-
your heart be troubled." We see this
-
scripture saying, "He who believes in me
-
will do the works that I do." You know,
-
it's the troubles of life
-
that hinder our faith.
-
>> [snorts]
-
>> True.
-
There was a time in my life I was
-
walking through something pretty
-
difficult for me. And um
-
and it seemed like that the trouble
-
wasn't just one here and one down the
-
road. It just seemed like they were
-
coming, [laughter]
-
right? They just kept coming.
-
And I didn't if Oh, I just wish I would
-
have been here then and know what I know
-
now. But thank God he gets us through.
-
Amen. But but
-
so many things that you you're getting
-
hit with a and all of it is a ploy
-
because the very power of God is on the
-
inside of you
-
to overcome all of that. The very power
-
of God is on the inside of you to change
-
the circumstances in other people's
-
lives.
-
And the enemy doesn't like it.
-
He don't care if you go to heaven. He
-
just want to kill you because he knows
-
how powerful you are.
-
Right. But let me say that one more
-
time. He He doesn't care.
-
He just He He just rather kill you
-
so that power is not released from you.
-
And if he can keep you, listen, you're
-
really dead if you're getting
-
overwhelmed by tri trials and
-
tribulations and you're allowing those
-
in your life. Listen, we do have a
-
responsibility in this one.
-
Guess it's okay for me to go here
-
over in uh I'll just let Jesus do the
-
talking. How about that? Over here in
-
John chapter 11, we see the story of
John 11 chapter mention
-
Lazarus.
-
such an awesome, inspiring story and
-
it's great. It's powerful. There's so
-
much in this chapter that you could
-
probably spend weeks and weeks and weeks
-
just teaching on it. I couldn't, but
-
somebody that's a real good teacher
-
could.
-
I could probably preach pretty good for
-
a while. But but there's so much in
-
here. But we see here
-
in this chapter,
-
Jesus really shows us how to over
-
overcome trouble and what you do to do
-
that.
-
It's really good. Right here in verse
-
32, it says this, "When Mary," this is
-
uh John chapter 11. When Mary came where
John 11 chapter mention
-
Jesus was, now this is Jesus is already
-
there, you know, he's already spent two
-
days away and then he's already there
-
where where uh Lazarus is and the family
-
is and all the people are. And it says
-
this, "Then when Mary came to where
-
Jesus was and saw him, she fell down at
-
his feet, saying to him, Lord, if you
-
had been here, my brother would have not
-
died.
-
Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping
-
and the Jews who came with her weeping,
-
he groaned in his spirit and was
-
troubled.
-
It's amazing. This is the same exact
-
word that is in John chapter 14 verse
John 14 chapter mention
-
one and John chapter 14 uh verse 27.
John 14 chapter mention
-
This word troubled. It's the same exact
-
word.
-
Yes.
-
Hallelujah.
-
>> This word troubled means to shake. You
-
ever been shaken by anything?
-
Means to trouble. It means to disqu. You
-
know, if you go over to Psalm 42,
-
you find you find David's telling his
-
soul, why are you disqued within me? Get
-
up and praise the Lord.
-
>> We did a little bit of that earlier,
-
didn't we?
-
>> That's what we do.
-
How about this? To unsettle. You ever
-
been unsettled about anything? Have we
-
ever been unsettled? How about
-
perplexed? How about anxious? How about
-
a little bit more tr transparency?
-
Um I remember the first time I got asked
-
to do to do announcements.
-
Even even better than that, the first
-
time I got asked to speak, that's a
-
whole story in itself
-
because of the honor I have
-
because of the fear of the God I have,
-
[laughter]
-
you know, and and and and those things.
-
And and and it was a process for me to
-
get up here because I don't take it
-
lightly.
-
I mean, I I there are times I try not to
-
look this direction just to get through,
-
but because I honor and I want to do it
-
right, you know, I just want to be a
-
blessing. I'm here to help, hold up
-
their hands and help my pastors. I mean,
-
that's my heart. That's all I care
-
about, you know. But I had to deal with
-
some other things. I was being troubled
-
every time almost for for some time.
-
And then the Lord helped me see it. Why,
-
Robert?
-
Robert's son, not Daniel's son, Robert's
-
son. Why? Why are you Why are you even
-
thinking about that? Am I with you? Am I
-
in you?
-
Yes, sir. What are you doing? Do you
-
believe or not?
-
You know, sometimes it's good to have
-
that talk with the Lord and say, "Oh,
-
yeah. Yeah, maybe I say saying one
-
thing, but really right here it's a
-
little different."
-
You know, the children of Israel, God
-
said this. He said, "What? Their lips
-
worship me, but their hearts are far
-
from me." And so, you know, I'm thankful
-
for that. But we see here that Jesus was
-
troubled and he did something about it.
-
And and we all have to do something
-
about it. And I guess that that might be
-
a little bit of where I'm going tonight.
-
You know, um if we do our part, oh man,
-
he's so faithful to do his.
-
And the one thing that will help us do
-
our part is to always think about others
-
first. It's what he says to do. Love,
-
love, love, love is the key to
-
everything, right? In fact, over in 16,
-
John chapter 16, he said, "Love your
John 16 chapter mention
-
neighbor. Love your brothers. Love them
-
no matter what. Just love. Let love come
-
out.
-
Because when love is there, that means
-
you're more concerned about them than
-
your little tribulation or your little
-
trial. Because really, it's little. To
-
God, all of these things we walk through
-
are little to him.
-
Yes, he loves us and he cares and he
-
doesn't like it when we go through
-
things. You know, he doesn't put those
-
things on us.
-
He doesn't. I know he didn't put what
-
was on me on me,
-
but I know who helped me. And I know who
-
got me over. Come on, somebody.
-
>> So Jesus, it says here, let me get back
-
to my place. Jesus says here, verse 33,
-
therefore when Jesus saw her weeping and
-
the Jews that came with him with her
-
were weeping, he groaned in his spirit.
-
This word groan meaned indignation. It
-
was an anger aroused by something that
-
was unjust, unworthy, or just plain mean
-
that was going on on the inside. He was
-
ticked.
-
In fact, I like to call it the God kind
-
of mad
-
because this was an attack of the evil
-
one on his friend and his friend his
-
friend's family and all these people
-
that love this man and it didn't make
-
him happy.
-
He wasn't happy about it. So down deep
-
he groaned. He was probably travailing
-
in prayer. I believe he was this is all
-
a story of prayer as well here. He was
-
praying.
-
He was praying.
-
He was talking to the father through
-
this. He was praying.
-
He was talking to the father through
-
this.
-
He was praying.
-
He was praying. He He wasn't talking to
-
his disciples about it. He didn't call
-
his mom. What do I do about Listen, you
-
hearing me.
-
He was praying.
-
He was talking to his father.
-
And he was troubled deep in his spirit.
-
He was he was troubled. He was troubled
-
and he was shaken
-
because he was a man. He was the son of
-
man.
-
This is one of the areas he took for us.
-
just one of many, many, many. But right
-
here, we see that when he took this
-
trouble and what he did with it shows us
-
exactly what we can do
-
>> and how we do it. Amen.
-
So it goes on to say here, let me just
-
read on a little bit. Says this,
-
he was troubled and he said, where have
-
you laid him?
-
Where have you laid him? You know, the
-
first thing I think about is first of
-
all, he's praying. He's being led by the
-
spirit. He's always led by the spirit.
-
He's very troubled. He's very upset in
-
one respect. Probably on the God side,
-
the God mad kind, you know, and then on
-
the other side, he's troubled as a man.
-
He's troubled.
-
And this time, he's just saying, "What
-
next? What next?" You know, he took a
-
step. Where you laid him? Uhoh. That
-
opens up another door. What's this mean?
-
What's this mean?
-
Then he goes on to say this. He says,
-
uh, they said to him, Lord, come and
-
see. And Jesus wept. Here we go. We see
-
another side of the man. This word wept
-
here means. So, let me say this for
-
anybody in the house. Here's
-
[clears throat] a study tool for you. If
-
you ever need to know what a word means
-
in the Greek, all you have to do is go
-
to Rick Ren [laughter] Rick Rener's
-
books. Everybody knows that, right? So
-
good. But this word actually means
-
[clears throat]
-
he cried out loud. He burst into tears
-
and sobbed. And it's evident because it
-
goes on to say uh that the Jews said,
-
"See how he loved him."
-
This word troubled actually means it can
-
cause grief.
-
But all of us know that when you go
-
through grief, you don't hold on to
-
that. If somebody steps over to heaven,
-
you may grieve, but you don't hold on to
-
that. That that can turn into some bad
-
stuff, right? You we we don't do that.
-
We don't sit in our grief CUZ WE KNOW.
-
>> I SAID, "WE KNOW."
-
And some of them said, "Could this man
-
who opened the eyes of the blind also
-
have kept this man from dying?
-
This is your friendly family
-
or your neighbor or your worker that has
-
no faith,
-
right? Trying to spread a little bit of
-
that unbelief so that you hear it and
-
then you start what? Questioning.
-
Questioning.
-
Then it goes on to say, ' Then Jesus
-
again groaning in himself.
-
He came to the tomb
-
and it was a cave and a stone laid
-
against it. And Jesus said, "Take away
-
the stone." This was momentous. This was
-
words coming straight out of his spirit.
-
I believe he was being led by the spirit
-
into this place. Come on, somebody. This
-
trouble was not going to have the
-
victory. The troubler was not going to
-
win this one. And he believed. He
-
believed number one who he was. And he
-
believed who was in him. And he said,
-
and he even said this to the disciples,
-
even if you can't believe the words I
-
speak, believe by the works that God is
-
in me.
-
That same spirit.
-
>> Oh, come on. Say it with me. That same
-
spirit. That same spirit that raised
-
Christ from the dead,
-
that same spirit
-
of God himself.
-
That's why it's to your advantage he
-
left. So that same spirit that was in
-
him that done those works would come on
-
on the inside of us. Holy Ghostfilled,
-
tongue-alking believers.
-
I don't know about you, but I'm getting
-
more excited just thinking about it
-
because I'm full.
-
I'm full.
-
And we're full of that power to do the
-
works.
-
But the troubler, the troubles, what we
-
hold on to, what we take on in all of
-
that, right?
-
Okay.
-
So he tells him to take away the stone.
-
Then Martha,
-
sister of him who was dead, said to
-
him,"Lord, by this time there is a
-
stench, for he has been dead for days."
-
You know, he doesn't quit.
-
They don't quit. He doesn't quit. Here
-
comes another one. Here comes another
-
one. Here comes another one.
-
You see, if if if if the enemy could
-
have kept Jesus from raising Lazarus
-
from the dead, we find out at the end of
-
this that many lives wouldn't have got
-
born again.
-
Because when he raised him up, man, some
-
people got on. THEY SAID, "WHY YES, I
-
believe."
-
Hallelujah.
-
Makes me think about this. So good.
-
So good. When we step out and we start
-
to do the works, we're going to win the
-
world.
-
We're going to if we do it the way Jesus
-
did it, one thing Pastor Mark tells us
-
all the time, he says, "I just want to
-
know how he did it because if I can
-
figure out how he did it, then I know
-
how to do it. And if I do it the way he
-
did it, then it'll get done." Doesn't he
-
say that all the time? And guess what?
-
I'm hanging on that word.
-
I'm hanging on it tight.
-
And Jesus is showing us right here. When
-
he was troubled, what did he do? He just
-
took steps of faith and said no. Toward
-
it, not away from it.
-
I'm getting excited.
-
That same spirit.
-
Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to
-
you, if you would what?
-
Believe, you would see the glory of
-
God." You know, that's right to us right
-
now, tonight. Right now, if you believe,
-
you'll see the glory.
-
And if we can keep that as our focal
-
point as we are praying, as we are
-
worshiping the father, as we're out in
-
our workplace, as we're out in the
-
shopping or whatever, as we're anywhere
-
we're at in the world, and we are
-
continually having our ears open to what
-
the master is saying to us,
-
that same spirit. And you'll know.
-
And we can trouble the troubler.
-
We can trouble the troubler.
-
We can trouble the troubler because then
-
we can go lay hands on that sick person
-
and see them get healed. We can go
-
minister the gospel to that person and
-
see them get saved. Oh, come on,
-
somebody. We can go and let the Holy
-
Spirit that brings that word up from the
-
inside of us and speak to that person,
-
that person that's about to commit
-
suicide,
-
we don't even have to know it. And man,
-
they're free.
-
But if the troubles outweigh the faith,
-
we got trouble.
-
But we are the troublers to the
-
troubler.
-
We are the body of Christ. We are
-
already in victory. We've already won.
-
We stand in a place of victory. We
-
already stand in a place that's won.
-
We stand in the place where everything
-
is done. All we have to do is put our
-
hand on it. All we have to do is put our
-
hand on it. Put our faith. Put our hand
-
on it. Come on.
-
I'm so excited. Jesus is our greatest
-
example. He showed us right here. AND
-
GUESS WHAT? LAZARUS, COME FORTH.
-
And he did not question what he said. He
-
did not expect a different outcome from
-
what he said.
-
It makes me think of Smith Wigglesworth.
-
makes me think of these great giants
-
that did these miracle healing things
-
and all these powerful things God did
-
through their lives and they didn't
-
care.
-
They just believed.
-
And when they said it, that's it. It
-
settled it. It's done. They're free.
-
They're healed. THEY'RE GOING TO GET UP.
-
THAT CANCER IS GOING TO COME OFF. THAT
-
TUMOR'S GOING TO FALL TO THE GROUND.
-
>> [snorts]
-
>> NOW, the Lord has to tell you to do some
-
of that
-
like, you know, punch, slap, or any of
-
that, but he doesn't have to tell you
-
that when you see someone to start
-
looking on the inside because then he
-
starts to lead you.
-
And there are so many lives,
-
so many people hurting. In fact, tonight
-
we we stopped at Quick Trip before we
-
got here and I came outside and I was
-
putting something in the trash and this
-
lady come walking up and I could just
-
hear her from behind me and she was
-
talking on her phone through her, you
-
know, and she was so distraught.
-
She was so upset. She was hurting.
-
She was troubled.
-
It's all around.
-
And we are the light of the world. We
-
are the body of Christ. We are the hands
-
and the feet. Amen.
-
That's why when we start to just think
-
about Jesus being on the inside of us,
-
his spirit and him being in the room and
-
him walking through here like Sunday
-
morning,
-
that's real stuff. eternal things,
-
impartation things were happening.
-
My goodness.
-
And it's all in us. Amen. It's all in
-
us. Say, "It's in me."
-
>> Larry Keaton said it best. You got the
-
goods.
-
>> Amen. We got the goods. So, let me just
-
end with this.
-
Let not your heart be troubled. Do what
-
the Lord says. Obey his command. Don't
-
let it be trouble. When troubles come,
-
start to trouble the troubler and watch
-
things happen. When the trouble comes,
-
start to look at what I can do, how I
-
can be led, how I can be uh the hands
-
and feet of Jesus
-
and your troubles will fall away and
-
people's lives will be changed. Amen. Do
-
you agree with that?
-
>> Father, we thank you so much for your
-
word. We thank you for your time and
-
your word. Lord, we're so grateful.
-
We're so grateful. We thank you for your
-
spirit
-
that lives on the inside of us.
-
We thank you, Father. We thank you,
-
Lord. You said that we could do your
-
works if we believe.
-
If we believe. If we do what you say to
-
do, we can do it. If we believe. If we
-
believe. I thank you, Lord. Your word
-
tells us
-
if we believe. If we believe. That's
-
your word. If we believe we can do what
-
you're what you did on the earth, we
-
thank you. I thank you for that. I I
-
don't have to try to figure out how to
-
do it. I I don't have to come up with my
-
own power to get it done. I I don't have
-
to. I just thank you, Lord, that we can
-
just listen on the inside and know that
-
the greater one on the inside of us, the
-
love of God that's been shed abroad in
-
our heart, oh hallelujah, will flow from
-
us, Lord. The compassion of Jesus that's
-
in us.
-
We'll see the sick healed. We'll see the
-
lame well. We'll see those who are lost
-
come to Jesus. Hallelujah.
-
Make us a blessing, Lord.
-
Let that be our cry.
-
Make us a blessing in this world,
-
Father, to those you love. You love
-
everyone.
-
I thank you for everyone in this room.
-
I thank you for the privilege it is to
-
speak to them. And I thank you, Lord,
-
that we are all people of faith here. We
-
love you. And I ask you to touch every
-
person's life right now in this room and
-
those watching online.
-
Those that may be walking through
-
something, those that may be troubled at
-
this moment,
-
those that may be facing something very
-
difficult.
-
Those that may be dealing with something
-
in their physical body.
-
Those that may be hurt over a loved one
-
that's not born again or or there's some
-
strife in a family. Lord, that these
-
things that come to steal and kill and
-
destroy, I come against it in the name
-
of Jesus right now.
-
I come against it
-
and I don't accept any other answer but
-
FOR YOU TO STOP IT.
-
Stop your troubling in the name of
-
Jesus.
-
I thank you, Holy Spirit, for your sweet
-
embrace.
-
You'll embrace these folks. You'll hold
-
them close to your heart, Lord.
-
[laughter]
-
Yeah.
-
And they'll sense it like they are right
-
now.
-
Right now.
-
I thank you for that.
-
And if there's anybody in here that's
-
never made Jesus the Lord of your life,
-
I don't want to not give you the
-
opportunity to meet the master,
-
the God that paid every price for you
-
just to have you, just to love you, just
-
to bless you, and just to be with you
-
forever. He loves you that much.
-
Hallelujah. So grateful to him. Or maybe
-
you're here and you know Jesus, but
-
maybe you've kind of got off track a
-
little bit. Maybe you found yourself
-
maybe at the wrong place at the wrong
-
time, but you know he loves you so much.
-
His arms are always wide open. He's
-
always ready for you just to say, "Yes,
-
Lord. Yes, Lord. I I need to come home.
-
Oh, he's so good to us." Amen. He's so
-
good to you. He loves you so much. And
-
maybe you're here and you've never been
-
filled with the Holy Spirit, with the
-
evidence of speaking in tongues. I tell
-
you, oh, one of the most powerful things
-
that can happen in your life is to get
-
filled with the Holy Spirit. And you can
-
pray in another language, pray mysteries
-
out. You can pray to God the Father in a
-
language when you don't know how to
-
pray, you know how to pray. And you can
-
pray in the spirit. Hallelujah. And
-
he'll edify and build you up on the
-
inside. Oh, because he loves you so
-
much.
-
I said he loves you so much.
-
If there's anybody on one of those
-
calls, just lift up your hand real
-
quick.
-
I'm looking across and I know it's a
-
Wednesday night, but
-
hallelujah. We thank you, Lord. We thank
-
you.
-
Come on, somebody. We thank you, Lord.
-
We thank you. Come on. We thank you. We
-
thank you. We thank you. We thank you,
-
Lord. Oh, we're so grateful to you,
-
Father. We thank you.
-
Oh, we thank you. We thank you. We thank
-
you. We thank you.
-
Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank
-
you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you,
-
Lord. Well, he's good to us. Amen.
-
>> So glad to be with you all tonight.
-
Thank you so much. Love you all so much.
-
Have a great rest of your week and we'll
-
see you Sunday. Okay, don't leave yet.
-
We still have some announcements. So,
-
>> praise God.
-
Was
-
anybody else blessed by that word from
-
heaven?
-
Praise God.
-
Man, I think sometimes it's so easy to
-
just like take for granted the truths
-
that are coming from the Bible, from
-
these stories because we've heard them
-
before. And, you know, we [music] can
-
get into our own
-
uh we can be in our head about what we
-
think something means. But, man, it's
-
just uh
-
just the truth. Praise God. And for me,
-
what stands out is in this particular um
-
story of the gospel is just like the
-
humanity of Jesus.
-
The humanity of Jesus that that we don't
-
have a high priest that cannot be
-
touched with the feelings of our
-
infirmities. Hebrews said, you know,
-
um because I feel like for me, you know,
-
there can be this I'm not a personally a
-
person that likes to cry and stuff like
-
that, you know. Um, I am a masculine
-
male, you know, but
-
but Jesus, you know, is literally the
-
alpha, bro. You know, like he he's the
-
alpha and the omega. And he him seeing
-
them weeping, he caught those feelings
-
as well [music] and like had compassion.
-
And it's just so vivid to me seeing him
-
with tears
-
moving towards the tomb with a
-
determination,
-
you know, that he knows this whole thing
-
is about to turn around, that this whole
-
thing is about to flip. And I bet it was
-
pretty epic. He's like, "Roll the stone
-
away." You know, it's just
-
it's just awesome. Praise God.
-
Amen. And uh just knowing that no like
-
you don't get any like more of a
-
hopeless situation than dead. They've
-
already like put you in the wrapping
-
situation in the tomb, you know, the the
-
thing is already like the stone is
-
already on the cave. But but we have a
-
God who who can go to the the lowest
-
lows and and he feels our pain and he
-
can raise us back to life. And uh praise
-
God. I'm just so thankful for that. That
-
know that'll put a tear in a masculine
-
man's eye. Come on, somebody. Praise
-
God. So, I'm just so thankful for that.
-
Well, um
-
again, if you're a first- time guest, so
-
glad that you came to us. Please text
-
the word welcome to 918-2157066.
-
Um we uh have a free drink for you in
-
our cafe. Speaking of cafe drinks, we've
-
got a couple of cool new cafe drinks in
-
the cafe. Um, we've got this
-
chocolatecovered strawberry latte,
-
um, which looks delectable. And we have
-
a chocolate raspberry latte, which just
-
looks great. So, um, at this moment, I I
-
wish that I were a first- time guest cuz
-
it would be real neat to have one of
-
those. If anyone is feeling any
-
generosity,
-
praise God. Um, so if you're a first-
-
time guest, we're going to treat you to
-
something like that. With that said,
-
that's all of the announcements that we
-
have. Let's go ahead and say our vision
-
statement together. We live by the word.
-
We're led by the spirit. We love the
-
world. You guys have an awesome rest of
-
your week.
