Yeah. And you know, someone said said of
-
me said, "Annette doesn't just throw
-
words out, you know, just to say them,
-
and I don't, but you have something
-
here. You have been taught the word, but
-
you also have the moving of the Holy
-
Spirit." And that doesn't happen
-
everywhere.
-
And you also have such a presence of God
-
in this place because you have Pastor
-
Mark and Janet
-
>> who know how to open that door
-
>> for the spirit of God to move who know
-
how not to grieve the Holy Spirit
-
>> and how to allow him to move in when
-
they come together.
-
>> Anyway, I just it's a blessing and I
-
want you to to just remember that what a
-
blessing it is. Now, every time I speak,
-
the Lord gives me a message
-
>> and it's for it's for the church. It is
-
for the whole body of Christ, but
-
specifically for this church. And so
-
today, he gave me a message and I'm
-
going to
-
begin and we'll see where the spirit of
-
God leads us. But the name of the
-
message is angels,
-
men, and divine intersections.
-
>> Does everybody know what an intersection
-
is?
-
>> If I say the intersection of 71st and
-
Memorial, do you know what I'm talking
-
about in Tulsa, Oklahoma?
-
>> There are intersections all over this
-
town. And what happens when you come to
-
an intersection? You've got to go right
-
or left or straight.
-
Probably shouldn't go backwards,
-
but you come to an intersection and
-
something happens. Well, recently I was
-
studying on the word intercession
-
uh in Timothy there and it actually
-
means intersection.
-
Now, isn't that interesting? It means an
-
intersection. So if you're interceding
-
for somebody, you're coming to an
-
intersection and you're either going to
-
open it to bring them through or you're
-
going to block something. Right? So
-
let's start with we're going to just
-
kind of breeze through a little bit of
-
the first part of the book of Acts and
-
we're going to talk about the things
-
that happened after Jesus ascended to
-
the father.
-
So, in Acts chapter 1 verse 8, I don't
-
know if we tried to get all of these
-
scriptures. Yes, there we go. Acts 18,
-
Jesus said, "You shall receive power."
-
Everybody say, "Power."
-
>> Power.
-
>> I've got the power.
-
>> Oh, that was weaker. How many of you
-
receive the Holy Spirit?
-
>> Okay. He said, "You shall receive
-
power."
-
>> Say, "Power."
-
>> Power. and say, "I have the power."
-
>> I have the power
-
>> because I have the Holy Spirit.
-
>> Because I have the Holy Spirit.
-
>> Now, sometimes we can come and we can
-
hear those words and we can mouth them
-
and not think about that. What what that
-
means. But the Holy Spirit, if he's on
-
the inside of you, the source of all
-
power is on the inside of you.
-
>> Right?
-
>> I know you know that. Okay. So, we're
-
going to move around and find out what
-
that means. says, "And you shall receive
-
power when the Holy Spirit has come upon
-
you, and you shall
-
be my witnesses."
-
Now, what what is a witness?
-
>> Have any of you ever been to court?
-
Hopefully not because you were being
-
prosecuted, but have any of you ever
-
been to court and they called the
-
witnesses?
-
>> Yeah. and they call them up there and
-
they asked them, "What did you see?
-
>> What did you hear? What happened?"
-
And so at this point in time, this is
-
right when Jesus is getting ready to
-
ascend into heaven. These are the final
-
words he had with his disciples.
-
And he said, "I want you to go to
-
Jerusalem and wait because the Holy
-
Spirit's going to come, the promise of
-
the Father, and then
-
you're going to be endued with power or
-
clothed with power from on high." That
-
word means clothed. It's like you're
-
putting on a different set of clothes.
-
You're going to be clothed with power.
-
And then you will be my witnesses.
-
>> Now, think about going to court. You get
-
up and you testify what? what you have
-
seen and heard.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> I would like to ask you today,
-
have any of you ever seen Jesus do
-
anything in your life?
-
>> Has the Holy Spirit ever spoken any
-
words of comfort to you through the word
-
of God or just in your heart? Anybody?
-
Amen.
-
>> So if Jesus has done something for you,
-
if you have made him your Lord and
-
Savior, if he has baptized you in the
-
Holy Spirit, if you have power from on
-
high, if you've seen a change in your
-
life, a difference in your life, then
-
you have something you can witness
-
about, right?
-
>> I'm able to testify of these things. I'm
-
able to be a witness because he's done
-
something for me. And you know what? You
-
can go stand and and preach at people
-
all day long and quote scriptures to
-
them.
-
But something happens with their ear
-
when you say, "Yeah, I've been there.
-
I've been in that situation. I had that
-
happen in my life. I got divorced. My
-
husband left me. My wife left me. I lost
-
a child. This happened. my son is in
-
jail. Whatever. When you testify what's
-
happened in your life, then their ear
-
>> is turned.
-
>> Their ear is turned.
-
>> And you know what?
-
Then when you tell them how you got
-
through that situation, when you tell
-
them about the peace of God that passes
-
all understanding, how God intervened in
-
your life, how God brought you through a
-
dark place that you thought you'd never
-
get through because that's where they
-
are
-
>> and they find out that they're going to
-
be brought out that they it's there's
-
hope.
-
>> There's hope. Then something happens in
-
them, right? All right. So this is where
-
we start what Jesus said. Now at this
-
same time as Jesus is getting ready to
-
ascend to the father and go into heaven.
-
It said the angels said.
-
>> Everybody say angels.
-
>> Angels.
-
>> How many of you believe in angels?
-
>> Yeah. They're in the Bible. Well guess
-
what? They're not just stuck in the
-
pages of the Bible.
-
[laughter]
-
They're not just stuck in this book.
-
They're here with us in the service
-
today. We may not see them, but they're
-
here. They're here when you drive home.
-
>> There have been times that I've been
-
glad that the angels were with me.
-
>> Really glad.
-
>> I'm going to I'm going to just give you
-
a little time to think about this with
-
the angels and everything because
-
angels from the very beginning of Jesus
-
birth had a big part because who came
-
and told Mary what was going to happen?
-
Yeah.
-
>> The first coming of Jesus.
-
The first coming of Jesus.
-
The angel announced and said, "You will
-
call his name Jesus.
-
>> The angel announced it. The angels
-
angels were involved in the very
-
beginning
-
at the first coming."
-
Well, my my my
-
if they were so involved at the first
-
coming,
-
>> what makes us think they're not going to
-
really be involved in the second coming?
-
>> Now, a lot of people have got the wrong
-
idea about the second coming. They only
-
look at at at what happens at the end,
-
the wrath. But what they don't realize
-
is that Paul himself says we have this
-
hope.
-
>> It is a hope. The second coming of Jesus
-
is something to look forward to just
-
like the first coming of Jesus was
-
something to look forward to.
-
And so what makes us think that if the
-
angels who had such a big part in the
-
first coming of Christ that they're not
-
going to be really involved in the
-
second coming. And what I mean is not
-
just the fact that he comes but getting
-
everything
-
ready.
-
Hm.
-
>> Glory.
-
>> Just as at the first coming, there were
-
people that were praying and there were
-
things that had to be happen. John the
-
Baptist had to come and prepare the way.
-
Well, guess what? There has to be a
-
preparing of the way for the second
-
coming
-
>> as well.
-
>> And so the angels have a part in that.
-
So these two angels
-
said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand
-
looking into heaven? This same Jesus who
-
was taken up from you into heaven will
-
come in just the same way as you have
-
seen him departing into heaven.
-
>> Angels bring good news.
-
>> Said he's coming back.
-
>> He's not gone forever. He's coming back.
-
>> And so these angels announced this. Now
-
angels are messengers of God. You know
-
Hebrews 1, you know, tells us that the
-
angels are ministering spirits sent
-
forth to minister for those who are
-
heirs of salvation. Are you an heir of
-
salvation?
-
>> Well, you see, there are a lot of people
-
out there in the world that aren't born
-
again by the spirit that are heirs of
-
salvation. They just don't know it.
-
>> So, the angels are sent to minister in
-
those situations.
-
Angels also
-
talk, always point back to Jesus. Angels
-
don't come and preach your own gospel.
-
They point back to Jesus. Angels are
-
also in charge of getting people in the
-
right place at the right time.
-
>> Have you ever been in the right place at
-
the right time?
-
>> All right, let's let's take a a deacon,
-
not the apostle, but the deacon,
-
Philillip. Let's take a quick look at
-
him.
-
In Acts chapter 8,
Acts 8 chapter mention
-
he had an appointment at a divine
-
intercession directed by angels and the
-
Holy Spirit. Now, who was Philillip?
-
There was Philip the apostle, but there
-
was also Philillip who was a deacon.
-
Okay. So, in Acts chapter 8 and let's
Acts 8 chapter mention
-
see where do we want to start with that?
-
I'm going to start I'm going to read
-
from here. So
-
let me give you a little background.
-
Philip was having a magnificent revival.
-
People being born again, healed,
-
delivered.
-
He was in a wonderful revival. And it
-
says, "An angel of the Lord said to
-
Philillip,
-
rise and proceed south to the road that
-
runs from Jerusalem to Gaza, crossing
-
the desert.
-
Well, that doesn't make sense to me.
-
Does it make sense to you?
-
He's in the middle of the best revival
-
he's ever had and an angel says, I want
-
you to go out in the desert.
-
And you know, the first thing I would
-
have said was, "Why?" [laughter]
-
That's what a lot of us say. It doesn't
-
say it. It doesn't say what Philip said,
-
but it just says this. He just got up
-
and he rose and he went.
-
>> Now, as it happened, I love that word,
-
as it happened. It just so happened. It
-
just so happened an angel appeared to
-
him. It just so happened that when he
-
got in the desert,
-
an Ethiopian unic who was in a position
-
of high authority with Candace, Queen of
-
the Ethiopians, as her treasurer, this
-
was the treasurer of the queen.
-
He had visited Jerusalem to worship
-
worship there and was now on his way
-
home. And as he sat in his chariot, he
-
was reading the prophet Isaiah.
-
Then the spirit said to Philillip, "Go
-
and join that chariot."
-
So here he is, Philip standing in the
-
desert going,
-
"What am I doing in the desert? I was
-
having a great revival where I was."
-
However,
-
this man in this chariot, it must have
-
been some chariot, folks. This wasn't
-
like a log wagon.
-
He was a treasurer for the queen.
-
And it said he heard him. He was reading
-
the prophet Isaiah. He must have been
-
reading out loud like Robert does.
-
Robert, you all know Robert Martino.
-
Robert said that in order to keep his
-
mind focused, he reads aloud as he reads
-
the Bible. So, he must have been reading
-
aloud. But anyway, notice that an angel
-
appeared to him. But then the spirit
-
said to him,
-
"Go and join the chariot." So, Philip
-
ran up and heard the unic reading the
-
prophet Isaiah.
-
Well, isn't that interesting?
-
Here was a man reading the prophet
-
Isaiah. Philip said, "Do you understand
-
what you're reading?" Well, how can I
-
unless some
-
everybody say someone?
-
>> How can I unless someone explains it to
-
me?
-
This man was hungry for the things of
-
God.
-
>> He was hungry.
-
>> And so he invited Philillip to come up
-
and sit with him. And the passage he
-
happened
-
to be reading,
-
I said he happened to be reading was in
-
Isaiah 53:7 and 8. Like a sheep he was
-
led to the slaughter. And just as a lamb
-
before its sheer is dumb, so he opened
-
not his mouth. In his humiliation, it
-
justice was denied him. Who will make
-
known his posterity? for he is destroyed
-
from among men.
-
And this
-
[laughter]
-
this this guy's sitting reading about
-
the Messiah Jesus. And so Philillip is
-
what just coming from a great revival
-
telling people about the Messiah. And
-
yet here is a man
-
way miles away who is hungry.
-
And he says, "Can you tell me, pray, of
-
whom is the prophet speaking?" inquired
-
the unic of himself or some else.
-
Then Philillip began to speak.
-
Philillip began to speak and starting
-
from that same portion of scripture told
-
him the good news or the gospel about
-
Jesus. Here is somebody,
-
somebody looking, somebody searching,
-
somebody wanting to know,
-
>> an important somebody nonetheless.
-
>> Somebody wanting to know.
-
And he's begins to explain to him and
-
tell him the good news of Jesus that
-
this scripture pertains to Jesus who was
-
crucified for our sins and was
-
resurrected. Now, it's one thing for
-
somebody to die.
-
>> We read obituaries every day. It's one
-
thing for somebody to die. Oh, yes, I
-
knew them. They were a good person and
-
they died. Yes, I knew him. He was a
-
prophet. He died. Yes, I knew them. they
-
were so and so and they died. But no,
-
this man Jesus, this same Jesus that the
-
angel said, this same Jesus,
-
>> this same Jesus, he was resurrected.
-
>> Not only did he come back from the dead,
-
a lot of people die and then come back,
-
have, you know, experiences where
-
they've died and come back. But you know
-
what? Unless Jesus comes, they're going
-
to die again. Amen.
-
>> This man,
-
Jesus,
-
the Messiah, the son of God, was
-
resurrected and raised from the dead.
-
>> And this is the fulfillment of all the
-
law and the prophets that he
-
accomplished what God had given him to
-
do. And so the unic
-
said, they proceeded on their way, I'm
-
sure, with a great conversation
-
until they came to some water. And the
-
unic exclaimed.
-
Everybody say exclaimed.
-
>> He didn't say, "Oh, well, hey, by the
-
way, there's some water." I Oh,
-
[clears throat] there's a farm pond.
-
Yeah. He exclaimed,
-
"There's some water.
-
There's some water right there. What is
-
there to prevent me from being baptized
-
right now?
-
So he stopped the chariot and both of
-
them Philip and Unic went into the down
-
into the water and Philip baptized him.
-
>> Somebody was hungry. Somebody was
-
seeking.
-
>> But look at what happened. an angel of
-
God
-
appears and and tells somebody to leave
-
what looks like the best thing that
-
could be happening
-
and go into the desert
-
and then speaks to him about who to talk
-
to.
-
Now, we look at this and we think about
-
this treasurer of the queen being the
-
important part of this message.
-
But what if
-
Philillip had said, [clears throat]
-
>> "Oh, well that doesn't make sense to me.
-
God wouldn't possibly pull me out of a
-
great revival and send me in the middle
-
of the desert."
-
>> Oops.
-
[laughter]
-
>> That's one of my favorite sayings.
-
And And when I say that, it's because it
-
zings somebody.
-
Well, that doesn't make sense to me. God
-
wouldn't do that.
-
>> Yeah, but it said Philillip arose and
-
went.
-
>> And we know
-
>> that the message of the gospel of Jesus
-
Christ was spread through Ethiopia
-
>> and there are Christians there today.
-
>> Why was it so why was why was this so
-
important? Because
-
this message of the gospel of Jesus
-
Christ had to be preached
-
>> to keep it alive for all these 2,000
-
years
-
>> to get ready for the great harvest and
-
the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
>> There was a supernatural thing that
-
happened. Okay, so remember this. The
-
intersection in the desert.
-
>> Yeah. Oh, it wasn't a paved concrete
-
intersection, but there was an
-
intersection, a divine intersection.
-
There was a an intersection of the
-
spirit of God, of the plan and purpose
-
of God, knowing that the word of the
-
living God and of Jesus Christ needed to
-
be spread through Ethiopia. And an
-
intersection took place and somebody was
-
some
-
>> was at that intersection. Yes.
-
>> So good.
-
>> Someone was at that intersection.
-
>> So then we move on to the next chapter
-
and I'm going to just breeze through
-
this because I just realized as I was
-
sitting in the green room and I saw the
-
schedule of the service that I'm have 30
-
minutes
-
and never have I spoken here for 30
-
minutes.
-
I'm going to move it along.
-
So the next chapter, Acts nine, Saul is
-
on the road to Damascus and he was on a
-
road.
-
He was on the road and he had an
-
intersection.
-
And this intersection was a block
-
because
-
we see that as he is going, if we go
-
into the first the first part of Acts
-
chapter nine, it says now this is right
-
after Philillip. Now Saul, whose every
-
breath was a threat of destruction for
-
the disciples of the Lord,
-
what a [clears throat] testimony.
-
His every breath was a threat of
-
destruction. He went to the high priest
-
and begged from him letters addressed to
-
the synagogues in Damascus in order that
-
he he found any who were of the way,
-
either men or women, he might bring them
-
in chains to Jerusalem.
-
He had every intent and purpose of
-
bringing these people who followed Jesus
-
Christ
-
in to have them I mean you know nothing
-
please him better than to have them
-
stoned.
-
And yet he came to an intersection on
-
the road to Damascus.
-
And at this intersection,
-
it says a light shone from heaven.
-
And the power of it, which we know is
-
the shikina power, the shikina of God,
-
the presence of God shone on him. And it
-
says it knocked him off.
-
>> And as he lay in the dirt, they heard a
-
voice saying,
-
"Saul, why are you persecuting me?" And
-
he's like, "Who are you? What are you
-
talking about?" And he said, "I am Jesus
-
who you're persecuting."
-
And it said he became blind and he
-
couldn't see anything.
-
So what happened next? I just love this
-
next part. It's just I mean it makes a
-
lot of sense to me.
-
Uh Jesus said, "I am Jesus who you are
-
persecuting. Rise and go to the city and
-
you will be told what you are to do."
-
Now he goes in the city three days,
-
three nights. He doesn't eat or drink.
-
And look at what happens
-
here. We have in verse 10. Now in
-
Damascus there was a disciple. Everybody
-
say disciple.
-
>> Previously we have Philip the deacon.
-
Now we have a disciple.
-
A disciple whose name was Ananas.
-
The Lord spoke to him in a vision. How
-
many of you look believe in visions?
-
>> They happen. And the Lord said to him,
-
Ananas. And he said, 'I'm here, Lord.
-
And he said, rise, said the Lord, and go
-
to Straight Street, and inquire at the
-
house of Judas for a man called Saul
-
from Tarsus, for he is praying. He had
-
seen a man called Ananas come and lay
-
his hands upon him so that he may
-
recover his sight. Well, that was pretty
-
specific.
-
>> True.
-
>> I mean, go to the desert.
-
Well, that, you know, on the way to
-
Gaza, that's pretty specific. But listen
-
to this. Listen to how specific this is.
-
Saul, the house of Judas. So, we've got
-
the where he's staying. A man called
-
Saul from Tarsus. He is praying. And he
-
has seen a man called Ananas come and
-
lay his hands upon him so he may recover
-
his sight. Well, man, most of us if we
-
got a message like that, wow, the gifts
-
of the spirit are operating.
-
>> Had a vision.
-
But wait a minute.
-
Lord, [laughter]
-
this way I hear him saying it. Lord
-
said answered Ananas, I have heard about
-
that man from many and about the great
-
mischief he has done to thy saints in
-
Jerusalem. And here in this place he is
-
authorized by the high priest to arrest
-
and call all who call upon thy name. Are
-
you kidding God?
-
>> He has the papers. [snorts]
-
He's got the papers to have me put in
-
prison and killed
-
>> and you want me to go You want me to go
-
to his house?
-
>> It would make my voice go up. Really?
-
Are you sure?
-
Go,
-
replied the Lord. He [snorts] is a
-
chosen instrument of mine to carry my
-
name to the Gentiles, to the kings, and
-
to the sons of Israel.
-
So here we know what happened. Ananas
-
went laid his hands on him said,
-
"Brother Saul, the Lord sent me and the
-
scales fell off of his eyes." Now here
-
is another intersection between a divine
-
appointment with Ananas
-
and Saul.
-
Have you ever wondered how how many
-
other people God spoke to to go pray for
-
Saul and they said, "Oh no, that's not
-
God.
-
Just asking
-
>> a divine intersection. And here we we
-
put Paul at foremost in the scriptures.
-
But what about Ananas?
-
>> Ananas was the one that God used. What
-
if what if we did not have
-
the writings of Paul in the New
-
Testament?
-
Do you see how important this is?
-
>> Do we hear about anything else that's
-
really big about Ananas and his ministry
-
and all that? No. It said he was a
-
disciple and at one time God spoke to
-
him and sent him someplace.
-
the intersection.
-
This was
-
a man that defied
-
all the reasonings and said, "I'll obey
-
the Lord." And he went and spoke to
-
Saul. All right, let's move on to Acts
Acts 10 chapter mention
-
chapter 10. I told you we're going to go
-
fast through this. Acts chapter 10, we
Acts 10 chapter mention
-
have a Roman soldier
-
named Cornelius.
-
And here again, you notice these are
-
these are like chapter after chapter.
-
Are you seeing that?
-
>> It's like 8, nine, 10. Okay. It says,
-
"Now a captain of the Italian regiment
-
named Cornelius. He was a Roman soldier
-
who knew about authority. He was
-
religious and God-fearing and so was
-
every member of his household. He was
-
also liberal in his charities of to the
-
people. In other words, he was a giver.
-
Everybody say giver.
-
>> Giver.
-
>> And continually offered prayer to God.
-
About 3:00 one afternoon, he had a
-
vision.
-
There's another vision. And distinctly
-
saw an angel of God enter his house who
-
called him by name, saying, "Cornelius."
-
Looking steadily at him and being much
-
alarmed, he said, "What is it, Lord?"
-
Lord. Now that word Lord is like master.
-
And this is what this is what he said.
-
Your prayers and some places it's um
-
called alms but it says charities or
-
giving have gone up as a memorial before
-
God. And now send to Japa. And now
-
listen to this. Send to where? Japa.
-
There's the location. Fetch who? Simon
-
whose surname is Peter. He is lodging
-
with Simon. There's another name, a
-
tanner whose house who has a house close
-
to the sea.
-
So when the angel who had been speaking
-
to him was gone, Cornelius called two of
-
his servants and a god-fearing soldier
-
who was in constant attendance. And
-
after telling them everything, he sent
-
them to Japa. And we know the end result
-
of that. Why did it take a vision and an
-
angel to get Peter? Peter followed
-
Jesus. Why did it take? Did you know
-
that even religious people, even
-
Christians
-
can be a little nervous about stepping
-
out some places?
-
>> I mean, Peter, he was a Jew. He had
-
never violated those laws of impurity to
-
stay away from Gentiles.
-
And yet God had to give him a vision. So
-
he knew to go talk to Coronelius who was
-
a Roman.
-
And you know what?
-
They were hungry.
-
>> They were waiting.
-
>> And so when Peter got there, he started
-
talking about Jesus of Nazareth, the one
-
who died. We was ro who rose again,
-
resurrected.
-
And as he's talking about that, he said,
-
'I know you've heard about all this
-
stuff going on in Jerusalem about how
-
they killed him and all that, but God
-
anointed, this is where this comes from,
-
but God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with
-
the Holy Ghost and with power, who went
-
about doing
-
>> good and healing all that were oppressed
-
of the devil. And as he's getting ready
-
and saying his next sentences, the Holy
-
Ghost fell, it says on those
-
Romans.
-
>> And it said that fell on his and all of
-
them were in shock. How could the Holy
-
Spirit fall on this bunch of heathen?
-
>> But they were seeking God and the Holy
-
Spirit fell. And how did they know? And
-
they were all filled with the Holy
-
Spirit. It says, "How did they know they
-
were filled with the Holy Spirit?" Well,
-
right there it tells us
-
because they heard them speak with
-
tongues. Verse 46, they heard them
-
speaking in tongues and extolling the
-
majesty of God. That's how they knew
-
they were filled with the Holy Spirit.
-
So here we have a man, a divine
-
intercession.
-
[laughter]
-
Thank you, Lord. I am so glad that we
-
weren't left out.
-
>> Now, maybe maybe you're Jewish. I don't
-
know,
-
>> but most of you aren't Jewish. And as
-
far as as as everybody was concerned, we
-
were left out. But we were not left out.
-
>> The sacrifice of Jesus covered every
-
man, woman, and child ever to be born on
-
the face of the earth.
-
Everyone was covered. And thank God that
-
day when Peter, who became the first
-
pope, so to speak, when Peter saw what
-
happened, he could not deny.
-
>> He didn't understand what Jesus had
-
said.
-
But he could not deny once the Holy
-
Spirit had fallen them on them and
-
baptized them in the Holy Spirit and
-
they spoke with tongues and glorified
-
God. he could no longer deny.
-
Don't let your thoughts and your
-
religious tradition and your religious
-
ideas. You say, "Oh, we're not
-
religious. Woo, we're word of faith.
-
>> We're filled with the Holy Ghost. We're
-
not religious.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> Really?
-
>> Oh, we are.
-
>> We've got ideas about what we do and
-
what we don't do. This is what we do.
-
>> But I want to take us back to Acts 18
-
where Jesus said, "You will receive
-
power after the Holy Ghost has come upon
-
you and you will witness what you know."
-
>> We are to prepare the coming for the
-
second coming of the Lord. How How does
-
that work? We just get all goosebumps.
-
Talk about it. Get excited. Yeah. Glory
-
to God. I'm so excited. Jesus is coming
-
again.
-
>> Well, yeah, let's do that, too.
-
>> But the way we get ready, Jesus said
-
there will become a great separation in
-
the end days.
-
>> There'll be a great harvest that comes
-
and then the reapers, which are the
-
angels, will be sent.
-
>> Whoa. Talk about an intersection.
-
>> Talk about an intersection. And the
-
angels of God, the reapers come to help
-
with the harvest and the separation. I
-
got news for you. They're already here
-
and it's already started. All this stuff
-
you see. Oh, isn't it terrible? All the
-
stuff, all the things that are going on,
-
it's the it's the same attitude, the
-
same spirit that was in operation when
-
Jesus came first. When all of those all
-
of those good religious people
-
When Pilate said, "I can release
-
somebody to you. Don't you want this
-
man? I find no fault in him." And they
-
said, "No,
-
crucify this innocent man and give us a
-
murderer." Yeah,
-
>> we're at that same place with that same
-
spirit, that same ideology where the
-
enemy is just stirring up people
-
>> against
-
God,
-
>> against the good, against the holy,
-
against the pure and innocent. Amen.
-
>> It's a spirit
-
>> and it's not the spirit of God.
-
>> And yet at the same time, the spirit of
-
God is calling people, ministering to
-
them, bringing them out. The Lord
-
there's there's testimony
-
>> after testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ
-
himself appearing to Muslims. Yeah.
-
>> I'll never forget the one that I read
-
and I won't get this exactly straight
-
because it's been a while, but this man
-
had a dream and in the dream this man, a
-
man in white came to him and said, "I
-
have forgiven you your sins."
-
And he said, "Who are you?"
-
He said, "I am I am Jesus." And he said,
-
"Well, I don't know anything about you."
-
And he said, 'I want you to go so and so
-
and you'll meet a man named so and so
-
and he will tell you about me. And here
-
he met a man who ministers in Iran
-
who preaches the the good news of Jesus
-
Christ in Iran. And he met the man. He
-
said, "Oh,"
-
the guy said, "Oh, you're the one I'm
-
supposed to talk to.
-
I had a strange dream. I saw a man in
-
white." And he said his name was Jesus.
-
And he said, "If I came to you, you
-
would tell me who who he was. Do you
-
know anything about this man?" That's
-
good.
-
>> Now, yes, that's unusual
-
to us, but it's happening all over the
-
Muslim world, particularly Iran
-
and other places, Arab speak, Arab
-
countries where the Lord Jesus is
-
appearing to people. You said, well,
-
isn't that scary? Well, not to them.
-
They don't even know who he is. They
-
have to be directed to find out who he
-
is. But what's really amazing is that
-
here in the United States of America,
-
there are people that are just as
-
ignorant,
-
>> who don't know,
-
>> who don't know.
-
>> And this brings me
-
to where I want to go. And that is I
-
want to ask you, are you willing to be a
-
Phillip,
-
an Ananas, or a Peter?
-
Are you willing to be the one that is at
-
a divine intersection in someone's life?
-
>> Are you willing to be there?
-
>> We try to make this hard. You know, it's
-
like how how to witness to people how
-
how to do this and how to do that and
-
and okay, so we're going to witness. We
-
got to form a committee and um have some
-
meetings and
-
and yet in the beginning it was a
-
grassroots thing. Whoop. I was supposed
-
to go to the desert.
-
The It was spiritled, spirit guided,
-
spirit directed. Are you led of the Holy
-
Spirit?
-
>> So, I'm asking you, would you be an
-
Ananas? Would you be the one who would
-
be in an at an intersection for
-
somebody?
-
>> That's all I'm asking. And I'm asking a
-
second question. Are you willing for the
-
compassion of God to fill your heart?
-
>> Are you willing to open your eyes and
-
ears? You know, not long ago,
-
I was at a restaurant
-
and as I sat there, I saw a woman who
-
was working in there and um
-
I felt
-
the pull of compassion. I'm coming down.
-
Don't let me freak you guys out. I run
-
stairs. I'm not going to hurt myself.
-
And I sat there and and I was with some
-
other people and as I saw her, my heart
-
my heart went out to her. And I was with
-
other people that are filled with the
-
Holy Spirit. I was with other people who
-
know God. And you know what? We were so
-
involved in our own conversation. They
-
didn't even see. They didn't even see.
-
And that's why I pray, God, open our
-
eyes.
-
>> Open our eyes. Let us see.
-
>> Let us see those people. That doesn't
-
mean we have to go and slap everybody in
-
the face and knock them over the head
-
with the Bible. Everybody we see,
-
but there are people that are out there
-
starving. There are people out there
-
that are hungry.
-
They're seeking. They're open.
-
And so about a year ago, the Lord gave
-
me a vision. I'm just going to tell it
-
to you. I'm just I'm just going to tell
-
you, okay? And you say, "Well, did you
-
fall out the floor? Were you in a
-
truck?" No, I wasn't. It's the strangest
-
thing, but I have visions a lot of times
-
when I'm driving my car. I don't know
-
how that works.
-
But I arrived safely.
-
And in this vision, the Lord showed me
-
drive-thru healing prayers where people
-
will be invited. If you need healing,
-
whether it's whether it's healing in
-
your heart or healing in your body, just
-
drive through. And I saw I saw people,
-
not apostles, prophets, evangelists.
-
You know, this is what a lot of times
-
the church we're looking for is the
-
pastor to go win souls.
-
>> Pastor's job is not to Well, I mean, he
-
can win souls and he will be used in
-
that way, but that's not his job.
-
>> His job is to shepherd the sheep.
-
>> And our job
-
as the church is to reach out with
-
people
-
>> and reach out and touch their lives. let
-
Jesus touch them through us.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> So anyway, I had this vision and I saw
-
people driving through and the Lord
-
began to talk to me and just explain
-
things to me and I have don't forgive me
-
if this offends you, okay? But I just
-
have never been a cross type person
-
where I wear crosses de, you know, have
-
crosses everywhere cuz to me Jesus, he
-
was on a cross. [snorts]
-
There were three really bad days there.
-
Jesus was on the cross, but he
-
ministered a lot before and ever since
-
for the 2,000 years, he's alive and
-
resurrected. So, I'm an alive and
-
resurrected and he lives in me person.
-
Okay?
-
>> So, I'm not opposed to it. But God began
-
to deal with me with my religious ideas.
-
>> And he said, "The people that you're
-
dealing with out here are sense ruled
-
people, and you're going to have to
-
touch them that way."
-
And I saw them drive through and I saw
-
their hearts heavy. And I saw, you know,
-
the pain inside them. I saw them with
-
little kids that had deformities. And I
-
saw them asking for prayer. And I saw a
-
disciple of the Lord reach through and
-
say, "May I anoint you with oil and take
-
some oil? May I touch your head and
-
anoint you with oil and may I pray for
-
you?"
-
And the Lord said to me, "See, they need
-
to be touched if they if they will allow
-
you to do this. They need to be touched
-
because their sins ruled and they'll
-
remember that touch." And then I saw
-
giving them a track and a cross, a
-
little wooden cross. You know those
-
round ones that you can do like this.
-
They call them prayers. So while you're
-
praying, you can rub them. I don't do
-
that, but I'm not against it.
-
But the Lord said, "See." And when they
-
leave and they take that cross, most
-
[snorts] people won't throw a cross
-
away.
-
Did you hear me? It's true. What do I do
-
with this cross? It keeps popping up. It
-
keeps popping up. Keeps popping up. But
-
anyway, this is what God said to me. He
-
said, and he was explaining this to me.
-
When they drive away,
-
>> when they drive away, that cross will
-
keep popping up. And then there is a
-
connection.
-
They will remember feeling the touch on
-
their forehead of the oil of the hand.
-
And it will anchor them.
-
>> It will anchor them to Jesus and to
-
thoughts of Jesus whether they accept
-
Jesus right then or not.
-
>> And so he took me through this whole
-
thing and I saw it and I saw great I saw
-
salvation. I saw great healings. I saw
-
all kinds of things. And so
-
I was so excited
-
>> and then it's like how is this going to
-
happen? What's going to happen? And
-
after about a year, almost a year, I
-
said, God, this hasn't happened. I mean,
-
I I I don't know what I'm supposed to do
-
about this. And I just felt grieved in
-
my spirit. And I began to just pray in
-
the spirit, pray in the spirit. And one
-
morning at 5:00 in the morning, I went
-
wide awake.
-
And I woke up because I was having a
-
what I call a spiritual download. You
-
know what I'm talking about?
-
>> God downloaded a tract, a witnessing
-
tract in my spirit. And it was the
-
father God speaking
-
>> to people.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> It was the father calling people to
-
himself.
-
And I I tell my staff and they all laugh
-
about this. It's a humorous thing. I
-
said, 'You know it was God because I
-
jumped out of bed and I began to write
-
before I had coffee.
-
[laughter]
-
I just began to write and it began to
-
pour out of me. And just as he gave me
-
instructions about about the people, he
-
he poured this through me. Have you ever
-
wondered why am I here? You got this
-
this little track. Why am I here? What
-
is my purpose?
-
Does my life even have any purpose? Or
-
maybe am I here by accident? Do I have
-
any value?
-
Everybody asks that question, you know.
-
Everybody asks that question. Nobody
-
wants to think they're here by accident.
-
So then it answers the question, if God
-
knows me and has a purpose for my life,
-
why are things so bad?
-
Then why hasn't my life turned out
-
differently?
-
And then it comes to this is what God
-
was this is what the spirit was I mean
-
this just was pouring through me here.
-
He said you have a purpose.
-
Everything else you have been told is a
-
lie.
-
that you are nothing when you are
-
everything to God. That you are
-
worthless and yet God created you with a
-
plan and purpose for good.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Will you believe the lie or the truth?
-
God loves you so much that he sent his
-
special messenger to tell you about his
-
love for you.
-
And then the question for them is, will
-
you believe the lie or the truth?
-
Will you turn to him? Will you accept
-
him into your life? And then it's
-
explained there's how to get born again
-
by the spirit.
-
Now
-
after God gave this to me, then we put
-
it in this little format
-
and started going. Now this is just the
-
first part. I I still believe the other
-
things going to happen. the drive-thru
-
prayer, drive-thru healing. You know,
-
people feel safe in their car if they
-
look at you and go, "I don't like them."
-
They can floor it and go, "Oh,
-
yeah. Well, they can't grab a hold of me
-
and drag me in the church. If I'm in my
-
car, I'm safe." Oh, you're safe.
-
Not from Jesus and not from the Holy
-
Spirit. So, anyway, I took these little
-
I'm going to wind it up here. I see I've
-
definitely gone my 30 minutes.
-
Okay. So, we took these little things
-
and I the stories I could tell you
-
the stories I could tell you about the
-
things that have happened. You know, I'm
-
not asking you to go out this afternoon
-
and stand on the street and wave a flag
-
or something like that. But I am asking
-
you to do one thing. One. If I told you
-
ask you to do one thing and it's easy,
-
would you do it?
-
>> Yes.
-
>> I'm just I'm asking you. I'm just asking
-
you. Would you do one thing? How many of
-
you got these?
-
>> We're going to pray and I'm We've prayed
-
over these things and we claim at least
-
one salvation for every tract.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> You are people of faith. We've used our
-
faith to get out of problems. We've used
-
our faith to receive answers to prayer
-
for needs in our finances. We've we've
-
prayed and received healing in our body.
-
Can we use our faith for the salvation
-
of souls?
-
>> I read that the Salvation Army when they
-
first started, they would get together
-
and they'd pray and they'd claim at
-
least 50 souls that day.
-
and they always got it plus plus some.
-
>> So I believe that we as people of faith
-
can pray over these. And if you've got
-
that in your hand, I want you right now
-
just put your hand over it. Pull it out.
-
Put your hand over it.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Father God, right now I want you to
-
agree with me. The Bible says, "If any
-
two on earth shall agree as touching
-
anything they shall ask, it will be
-
done."
-
>> Father God, right now in the name of
-
Jesus, we loose the anointing of God
-
into this tract. And we thank you that
-
it touches the lives of anyone that it
-
touches, their life will be touched by
-
the Holy Spirit. And Lord, I just ask
-
you right now in Jesus' name for at
-
least one salvation per tract, minimum
-
of one salvation per tract. And I ask
-
that these your people will be guided
-
and directed to that exact person who is
-
hungry. God, you know who's hungry and
-
you know who isn't. Send us to the right
-
people.
-
give us a divine intersection with
-
someone
-
supernaturally
-
by the spirit of God.
-
>> And we thank you for it. We claim we
-
claim the salvation.
-
>> I think there were 500, 700, I don't
-
remember how many of these there are,
-
but we claim a minimum of 500 souls one
-
to Jesus today.
-
>> Today we claim it. We receive it by
-
faith.
-
>> Yes. Yes.
-
>> And we thank you that it is done in the
-
name of Jesus name. If you agree, say
-
amen.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Amen. Glory to God. Now, let me tell you
-
how to do this, okay? Real quickly
-
>> real quickly. It's it's amazing.
-
So, I started taking these tracks and
-
you know, I know you've all been through
-
the drive-thru,
-
>> okay? Well, you know the first part of
-
the drive-thru where they say 8:15 and
-
they stick their arm out the window.
-
Those are the most ignored people.
-
They are so ignored. They're just there
-
all day. 8:15
-
all day long. And so
-
I took this track and I heard how many
-
of you here when Mary Francis Varela
-
spoke? Yeah. You remember her $100
-
bills? She get a stack of $100 bills. I
-
know most of us don't have stacks of
-
$100 bills.
-
>> You know,
-
it makes an impression for sure when you
-
hand it to somebody.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> But you know what I found out? I take
-
two $1 bills and wrap it in this just
-
wrap this inside. and I drive through
-
>> and when they hand me my change, I look
-
at them and I smile and I say, "Thank
-
you. And here's something for you."
-
>> And I found out that if you're honest
-
and sincere in your gratitude, those
-
people don't ever get any gratitude.
-
Yeah. Here's my credit card while you're
-
talking on the phone. Yeah.
-
They don't get any gratitude. And you
-
know what? I
-
They're it's they're taken aback.
-
>> Oh,
-
>> and then they smile.
-
>> Thank you.
-
Just $2.
-
>> When you have no gratitude, a dollar
-
>> is something.
-
>> When nobody shows you gratitude, $2 is
-
really something.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> The other day I went and I have I just
-
love I love it. I used to, you know, how
-
many of you I don't don't raise your
-
hand. Have you ever felt guilty about
-
not witnessing, you know, and so,
-
[laughter]
-
you know, a lot of times pastors won't
-
have you come speak on evangelism
-
because they feel guilty because they
-
haven't won anybody Jesus. Well, they're
-
that's not their job. Number one,
-
you know, and so the other day I drove
-
through McDonald's and as I was driving,
-
I Okay, Lord, I've got I've got my
-
tracks out here. I carry them right
-
there.
-
>> Yeah. I've got dollar bills, a whole $51
-
bills so that I can just
-
I'm willing to invest $50 a month into a
-
soul.
-
>> And so I got them right there. So I
-
pulled my track out and I'm praying and
-
I ordered my stuff and
-
Okay, Lord. And he said, "Make it a
-
five."
-
Oh, okay. I grabbed a five. And I pulled
-
up and this little girl said, "That'll
-
be so and so." And I handed it to her
-
and she came gave me my credit card
-
back.
-
I said, "Thank you so much. Here's
-
something for you today." And she picked
-
it up and looked at it and she said,
-
"You would have thought I gave her a
-
million dollars
-
>> because somebody showed they cared.
-
Somebody looked her in the face. Have
-
you ever looked the people in the face
-
that take your money or you just stick
-
your arm out?
-
>> Look them in the face.
-
>> When I first started doing this, I went
-
through another drive-thru and and I
-
just pulled my because $2 is standard. I
-
can just, you know, and I pulled it out
-
and I rolled down the window and there's
-
a man there probably 60 years old taking
-
money
-
and he gave it and I looked at him and I
-
and when I opened my mouth, the Holy
-
Spirit
-
and I said, "Sir, thank you so much for
-
what you do.
-
You know, I really appreciate the fact
-
that you're here to help us get some
-
lunch." And I said, "I want you to have
-
this."
-
And he looked at me and tears started
-
streaming down his face.
-
>> It so touched him for me to thank him.
-
And to give him a little tip,
-
I know you're I know you're here. I see
-
you.
-
>> You're important.
-
>> Can we be Jesus to the world? Can we let
-
Jesus reach out through us?
-
>> You know,
-
I'm trying to hurry up and finish, but
-
there's just so much.
-
>> There's just so much.
-
>> I see Cindy sitting over there. She gave
-
one of these and the mother read it and
-
got born again. The daughter got born
-
again. And the daughter took this to
-
high school to the school and said, "I
-
want to can I take it because I have a
-
friend and she's she's she's bad off and
-
she gave it to her and she asked for
-
Jesus coming to her heart and she said,
-
"We got to go talk to so and so. She's
-
into cutting and all that stuff and
-
we've got there was something bad going
-
on anyway." And so they pass it on.
-
three three I think it was 13 year olds
-
>> one track
-
>> this
-
is the seed of the word of God and it
-
never returns void when somebody opens
-
it and see I I walked into the bronze
-
and I started to just and the Lord went
-
no
-
>> and so I check when I checked out to get
-
my mom's ice cream
-
>> I handed it in a little tip to the guy
-
and he went oh thank you. And you know
-
what? When I walked over to pick up
-
something else and was on the way back,
-
he was leaned back against the counter.
-
And I could tell by the look on his
-
face, he was reading it very carefully.
-
This is just one thing. It's just a
-
kindergarten step. Can we do that?
-
>> Can we just do that
-
>> and get souls brought into the kingdom
-
of God?
-
>> Hallelujah. Well, Father God, we thank
-
you today.
-
Thank you for this time together. Thank
-
you for this church.
-
Thank you so much for Mark and Janet.
-
Lord, we thank you for what they've
-
established here. And we know that
-
they're reaching the world
-
for Jesus through all these flags, all
-
these countries. We're reaching the
-
world, but there are people in the
-
United States that also need to be
-
touched.
-
And so we're just thank you, Lord, that
-
today we agree
-
that as we go forth that our lives will
-
touch other people
-
and that we will see
-
great harvest and salvation. With
-
everyone's head bowed, I'd like to ask,
-
is there anyone here that you don't know
-
Jesus in that way? You haven't
-
experienced him in your life,
-
but you want to know the same Jesus,
-
anyone at all.
-
All right. I want to ask a second
-
question there. I talked about you shall
-
receive power after the Holy Spirit has
-
come upon you. Is there anyone here that
-
you've not received the baptism of the
-
Holy Spirit and that power and you would
-
like to today? Would you raise your
-
hand?
-
All right, we have a hand back there.
-
[music] Sir, would you come up?
-
We're going to have someone pray with
-
you. Anyone else?
-
Either you want a deeper relationship
-
with Jesus. Things aren't just right.
-
Hallelujah.
-
or you want to receive the baptism of
-
the Holy Spirit.
-
All right.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Glory to God. Let's all stand up.
-
Praise God. Yes, sir. Thank you, Lord.
-
Hallelujah.
-
>> Thank you, Jesus. I'm just going to pray
-
for you right now. And I'm sure we have
-
someone that can minister to him,
-
[music] right? Okay. Hallelujah. Father,
-
I thank you. The Holy Spirit we know
-
>> is here.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> I would like for you to say this aloud
-
with me.
-
>> Jesus, you are my Lord.
-
>> You have full control of my life.
-
>> I submit myself to you.
-
>> And I now receive your gift.
-
>> The gift of the Holy Spirit.
-
>> Hallelujah. In the name [music] of
-
Jesus. In the name of Jesus. Oh, thank
-
you Lord. [music] Hallelujah. Thank you
-
Jesus. Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord.
-
And let's just begin to praise him and
-
speak in other tongues.
-
Hallelujah. Thank you Lord. Hallelujah.
-
Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus. Thank
-
you Jesus. [music] Thank you Jesus. All
-
right, everybody quit.
-
>> Stop.
-
Okay, now I'm I'm doing this for a
-
reason. The Holy Spirit doesn't just
-
take over you and make you do something
-
you don't want to do. It's all under
-
your control. So now, let's just begin
-
to speak in the spirit again.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. All
-
right.
-
Hallelujah. Bless you. The Lord's all
-
over you. Go with this man. The Lord's
-
all over him, too. He'll help you out.
-
>> Oh, glory to God. Well, hallelujah.
-
Let's praise the Lord. Glory to God.
-
[music]
-
Hallelujah.
-
>> Thank you, Lord.
-
>> Would you take a seat, please?
-
Hallelujah.
-
How many got something today?
-
We heard straight from the word. We were
-
taught good [music] stuff today. Amen.
-
We just want to sew into Miss Reverend
-
Annette Caps today. [music]
-
Take a moment to see what the Lord would
-
have you do. Amen.
-
As we sew into her, into this ministry.
-
[snorts]
-
The Bible says, "He who wins souls is
-
wise."
-
There's no greater call on any of our
-
lives, amen, than to win souls. And so
-
I'm so thankful number one to be part of
-
a ministry that the number one thing is
-
life, souls. Amen. The Bible says in
-
Galatians 6:6, it says, "Let him who
-
receives instruction in the word of God
-
share all good things with his teacher,
-
contributing to his or her support. It's
-
such a privilege and an honor to give
-
back." Amen.
-
Father, right now in the name of Jesus,
-
we thank you so much for this ministry.
-
We thank you, Father, for the word that
-
we got today.
-
We thank you for the commission we were
-
given today to go forth and to do the
-
will of God. We thank you for that. And
-
now we ask that you will bless and
-
increase the influence and the ministry
-
of Reverend Annette Caps in the world.
-
And we thank you for her voice. And we
-
thank you for in these days what it
-
means to the world. And father we give
-
you thanks that we can be a part of that
-
in Jesus name.
-
Amen. [music] Amen. Amen.
-
So as you give just a couple of quick
-
announcements and then we'll be ready to
-
go. If you were a first-time guest,
-
thank you so much for being with us.
-
Don't forget to text welcome to
-
918-2157066.
-
Also, if you would step stop by the
-
connect center out in the foyer, uh we
-
would sure love to get to meet you
-
there. Also, there are music auditions
-
that will be held Sunday, March 1st.
-
Those of you that are musically inclined
-
um and you can email this email
-
musicculsa.org,
-
that's music.org
-
for more information on that. Uh we will
-
have pastoral care assistance at the
-
front here. If anyone needs prayer
-
concerning anything, we would love to
-
pray with you this morning. Don't forget
-
to stop by the table. There are plenty
-
more tracks out there. Grab five, take
-
some with you. Amen.
-
>> Amen. Let's say our vision statement as
-
we leave. We live by the word. We're led
-
by the spirit. And we love the world.
-
God bless you. We'll see you Wednesday.
