uh Luke the 3 chapter and um
-
it's a subject that we could go weeks
-
and weeks with this. I have no idea how
-
far we'll get today or how many weeks
-
we'll stay in this, but uh Luke the 3rd
-
chapter and I'm going to kind of jump in
-
the middle of something here. we've got
-
where in Luke's gospel, we've got uh if
-
you if you go back to I think it's the
-
23rd verse where it talked about Jesus
-
um you know when he was baptized came up
-
out of the water praying and the heavens
-
opened the spirit of God descended in
-
bodily form like a dove came upon him
-
remained upon him and a voice came out
-
of heaven that said this is my beloved
-
son thou art my beloved son in thee I am
-
well pleased. So we we can go back there
-
and then it goes directly from there and
-
it starts giving what we'd call the
-
genealogies.
-
Okay. And starting uh at a particular
-
point there at the at the baptism of
-
Jesus. But then if you go back and it
-
starts giving all the genealogies this
-
one who was the son of this one who was
-
the son of this one who was the son of
-
this and really excuse me we end up
-
going about about 4,000 years of
-
genealogies in here. Okay, half of these
-
names I've never read before. Okay,
-
that's why I'm not going through them
-
because I can't pronounce them anyway.
-
But then going back through there, we go
-
back through uh I'm guessing roughly
-
about 4,000 years. And uh it's it ends
-
up I'll get the right verse here. It
-
says I I'll just go to verse se 37. Luke
-
the uh 3rd chapter verse 37 says
-
it's getting toward the end of these
-
genealogies. It said backing backing up
-
from Jesus back to the beginning. It
-
said which was the son of uh get the
-
right verse here.
-
What is it? Okay. Which is the son of
-
Matthysula which was the son of Enoch
-
which was the son of Jared which was the
-
son of Malia which was the son of Canaan
-
and which was the son of Enos which was
-
the son of Seth. Okay, we're going
-
somewhere with this. which was the son
-
of Adam,
-
which was the son of God. Now, if you go
-
back through there, there's such a
-
genealogy here. You can go back 4,000
-
years, and when you get back to the very
-
beginning, everything comes back to who
-
was the son of Adam, who was the son of
-
God. And you'll find back there, that
-
was the first time that someone was
-
called a son of God.
-
>> But it was also the last time someone
-
was called a son of God for about 4,000
-
years. He was the last one. Adam was
-
called the son of God. That's who he
-
was. God had breathed his own life into
-
him. He was called the son right there.
-
He's called who was the son of Adam who
-
was the son of God. What a what a place
-
there. Okay. What a stand he had. What a
-
what a location he had. But but what
-
happened was God said, "Do not eat of
-
the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
-
For in the day that you do, you'll
-
surely die. You'll be separated from me.
-
You won't necessarily die physically.
-
that will set in eventually, but uh you
-
you know you eat of that tree, you're
-
going to die, you will be separated from
-
me. And so really, he gave that
-
instruction to Adam. And of course, you
-
know, Adam and Eve, you you can just
-
humanity was already finding its way.
-
And you can find out which tree they
-
were the closest to. They're around the
-
tree of knowledge of good and evil.
-
There was a crazy talking snake in there
-
said, you know, you really ought to eat
-
like of this because if you eat of this,
-
you'll be like God. Well, what they
-
didn't know is they already were like
-
God. He was the son of God. He had God's
-
DNA working in his system. Okay? So, he
-
was already way off course on that. But
-
going back through there, when
-
Adam made that stand, he disobeyed God,
-
obeyed Satan, chose a new master, fell,
-
died spiritually, separated himself from
-
God, and as in Adam all died. That was
-
going to pass upon everybody. So God's
-
going to have to repair this problem for
-
eternity because mankind is all this
-
thing's just going to keep going.
-
>> And so he's he's working on that. And
-
you look back there and and Adam set the
-
whole thing in motion. And so for you
-
track this if you go back through and go
-
back to I think 23rd verse I'm not sure
-
exactly where it was without going back
-
to look but in the the third chapter of
-
Luke if you go back to where you know uh
-
it talks about Jesus being baptized and
-
the Holy Ghost coming on him and so on
-
and Bible said he's about 30 years old
-
when this took place he stepped into the
-
fullness of his ministry. We know from
-
the scriptures um he had laid aside his
-
mighty power and glory. He'd laid aside
-
his anointing. He laid aside what he had
-
as this as the uh part of the godhead
-
and laid that aside and took on flesh
-
and blood and bone and lived among us
-
for about 30 years time. At about 30
-
years old, he steps over into the river
-
and he comes up uh after being baptized
-
and the the Holy Ghost comes on him. The
-
anointing comes on him and God says,
-
"Thou art my beloved son." He hadn't
-
been able to say that for 4,000 years.
-
He hadn't had anybody that we're aware
-
of. You can track it back through. I've
-
looked at best I could look. And I've
-
not found anywhere in there he found. He
-
He had 4,000 years of servants.
-
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. He He even
-
had a friend. Moses was called friend.
-
God looked at him like he did a friend.
-
He had servants. He had even had a
-
friend. But one thing he didn't have, he
-
and and we just sang about all the
-
names. God had all these names of all
-
that he was. He he had covenants and
-
he'd honor his covenant. But the one
-
thing he did not have, he didn't have a
-
son. And I want to talk about that for a
-
little bit today. We may get back next
-
week. I have no idea at this point. But
-
if you go back through there, the one
-
thing that God was missing was what he
-
started out with where Adam was his
-
plan. He formed him from the dust of the
-
earth. He he breathed his own life into
-
him. Adam became a living soul. He took
-
a rib and formed Eve. So, he's got a
-
couple there. and uh he's breathed his
-
life into them. Okay? And Adam's called
-
a son of God, but he he left that walked
-
away and really fell. And if you track
-
that through for the next 4,000 years,
-
you've got God with dealing with
-
servants and dealing with nations and
-
dealing with even a friend now and then.
-
What he didn't have a he didn't have a
-
deal with a son until suddenly
-
suddenly you you you've got Jesus before
-
God. Pastor Janet just talked about it
-
during the offering over there in John
-
3:16. For God so loved the world
-
>> the whole world that he gave his what?
-
His only what? Begotten son. He didn't
-
have a son for 4,000 years. And all of a
-
sudden, he so loves the world that he
-
gives his only begotten son. And so you
-
see Jesus, he takes on flesh to dwell
-
among us. And he just he takes that spot
-
for about 30 years. He goes to the
-
temple. We see him when he's 12 years
-
old. He's in the temple. He's studying.
-
He's learning. He's reading. He's
-
finding himself. Okay? He's finding what
-
the scriptures say about him, learning
-
who he is, what is going to be his
-
assignments in life. So, he's doing all
-
that at about 12 years old. We see him
-
at birth. We see him, oh, he's about 2
-
years old. We see him at 12 years old.
-
We see him again at 30 years old. And
-
he's never worked a miracle. He's never
-
done a sign, never done a wonder. He's
-
never healed any bodies. He just was God
-
in the flesh, but he laid aside the
-
mighty power and glory he had as that
-
capacity. And so we see him there in
-
Jesus
-
all of a sudden, like I said, at 30
-
years old, the Holy Ghost comes on him.
-
We see in Luke the 4th chapter, he says
-
back there, uh, he reads out of, um, uh,
-
Isaiah Isaiah 61:1, "The spirit of the
-
Lord's upon me because he's anointed me
-
to preach the gospel to the poor. He
-
sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
-
preach deliverance to the captives,
-
recovering of sight to the blind, set at
-
liberty them that are bruised, preach
-
acceptable year of the Lord. He closed
-
the book, gave it again to the minister,
-
sat down. The eyes of all them that were
-
in the synagogue were fastened upon him,
-
and he began to say unto them, "This
-
scriptur is fulfilled in your ears."
-
He'd been able to read that for 4,000
-
years. Anybody could have, but all of a
-
sudden, it's fulfilled why he's just
-
been to the River Jordan. The Holy Ghost
-
came on him. So we look at that and
-
Jesus, we watch for 30 years. He didn't
-
work any miracles. Now the Holy Ghost
-
comes on him. He steps into the
-
fullness. God said this, "Thou art my
-
beloved son." He hadn't called anybody a
-
son for 4,000 years. Didn't have one.
-
Suddenly he does. Thou art my beloved
-
son and thee I am well pleased. Jesus
-
stepped out there. John's gospel said if
-
everything loose to interpretation John
-
said if everything Jesus did could be
-
written down I don't suppose the world
-
itself could contain the volumes he went
-
from no miracles his first 30 years to
-
his last three and a half years they
-
couldn't count the miracles that he did
-
okay what happened was Jesus
-
Jesus was the first son God had in 4,000
-
years and what happened was he God so
-
loved the world He gave his only
-
begotten son. So he gave us his son. He
-
demonstrated a son. He operated through
-
Jesus as a son. Jesus walked as a son.
-
Talked as a son. Lived as a son.
-
Demonstrated to us what a son would look
-
like, walk like, talk like. Jesus was a
-
son of God. The firstborn son of God.
-
Okay. Since Adam's fall. All right. Did
-
all did all that. And um
-
he was he took that place. So what he
-
did was he he showed us what a son would
-
live like. Walk like, talk like, act
-
like the works, okay? The the the signs,
-
the wonders, the miracles. And his
-
disciples had no clue who they were
-
with. The devils knew it. Thou art the
-
son of God. Okay? Have you come to
-
torment us before? They knew, but the
-
disciples didn't quite get it. So
-
finally Jesus says to Peter, "Who who do
-
people say I am?" And Peter said, "Well,
-
the some say that you're Jeremiah or one
-
of the prophets." And Jesus said, "Okay,
-
that's good. But the bottom line is who
-
do you say I am?"
-
>> That's the big question. It's not who
-
they say I am. Who do you say I am? And
-
Peter says, "Thou art the I'm sure you
-
use King James. Thou art the Christ."
-
Thou art the Christ, the son of the
-
living God. I don't He I think it
-
shocked him when he said that. And Jesus
-
said, "Blessed art thou, Simon v Jonah,
-
for flesh and blood has not revealed
-
this unto thee, but my father which is
-
in heaven. And upon this rock I'll build
-
my We know the rest of that." Okay. And
-
so Peter's got it. Thou art the Christ.
-
He didn't get it from mankind. He got it
-
out of heaven. Thou art the Christ, the
-
son of the living God. So I'm sure first
-
thing he did was to go back and find all
-
the other disciples and say, "Do you
-
have any idea who we're working with? Do
-
you know who our boss is? Do you know
-
why he works all these miracles? Do you
-
know why he's training us? Do you know
-
why he's pouring into our lives? Do you
-
know who this is? You know, I'm sure you
-
went, I know who this is.
-
I'll just fill you in on some details.
-
And and so he got hold of it. Thou art
-
the Christ, the son of the living God.
-
So his disciples at this point, think
-
about that. All right? They're working
-
miracles, not just because some special
-
anointing. They've tapped into the son
-
of the living God. They're with him,
-
walking with him, talking with him. And
-
so when they're doing this, we we follow
-
this on through
-
and uh uh Jesus with his disciples and
-
uh there, you know, they got it figured
-
out. Well, they've just got it figured
-
out who they're with. You know, that
-
alone would kind of make your day.
-
>> Yeah,
-
>> we're with him. Nobody knows who he is,
-
but we know who he is. When all of a
-
sudden, they go a little further in the
-
11th chapter of Luke's gospel. They uh
-
they said to Jesus, "Jesus, teach us to
-
pray as John also taught his disciples."
-
He said, "Okay." Didn't bother him. Be
-
glad to. I want you to pray. I'll teach
-
you to pray. He says, "When you pray,
-
say this." Think about this. They're
-
just get they just got it figured out
-
who they're with. And he says, "When you
-
pray, you when you pray, say this."
-
Okay, Jesus, what do you want us to say?
-
What are the first two words?
-
>> Our father.
-
>> Who's
-
>> our father? They're going, "Whoa, wait a
-
minute. Wait a minute." To say I I I
-
could say, "Father of our Lord Jesus
-
Christ, God of No, I could say that."
-
But you said when we pray to say,
-
>> "Our Father, which art in heaven,
-
hallowed be thy name." Jesus was what?
-
Now, now he's going to start in
-
empowering them and teaching them not
-
just how to walk with a son, but how to
-
be a son. He came as a son. He showed us
-
a son. He acted as a son. And then he
-
made us sons.
-
When the church gets hold of that, we're
-
going to change the world.
-
>> We've lived so far below our rights and
-
privileges as children of God. Not just
-
children of God, sons and daughters of
-
the living God. We've lived far below
-
that.
-
>> And if you go back through there, he
-
said, when you when you pray, say this,
-
our father. And so from that point on,
-
Jesus is going to spend the rest of his
-
earthly ministry teaching his disciples
-
how to operate as a as a son of God
-
because he going to go. And when he
-
goes, he's going to pray the father and
-
he's going to pour out the Holy Ghost.
-
And all we that are left down here are
-
going to go from friends and servants to
-
sons.
-
>> He was raising up a generation of sons
-
so he could raise up a kingdom of sons.
-
>> That's really what it's all about is
-
God's wanting to raise up a generation
-
of sons and daughters of the living God.
-
He had years, 4,000 years of friends.
-
Okay? Some even were servants. Some even
-
obeyed him. It was all good. But what he
-
wanted to do was get us raised up where
-
we He wanted to show us a son and then
-
make us sons.
-
>> Empower us to be able to do that. And so
-
the disciples got hold of it and Jesus
-
got this across to them and he's
-
empowering us to be able to live as sons
-
and daughters of the living God. And
-
here we are couple thousand years down
-
the road and it's it's time for us to
-
learn who we are. Who who who are we in
-
Christ? Redemption doesn't just tell me
-
what Jesus could do, should do, wanted
-
to do. Redemption tells me what he did
-
do.
-
>> He empowered us to live as sons and
-
daughters of the living God. And you'll
-
see that we we watch this through his
-
earthly ministry, Jesus. And then when
-
he left, he empowered us and made us
-
sons and daughters of God. And he showed
-
us how this is all to work. And so that
-
being the case, he uh
-
he empowered us by the the anointing of
-
God, the power of the Holy Ghost. He
-
filled us up, empowered us, charged us.
-
Okay? On the day of Pentecost, on the
-
day of Pentecost, they were all
-
>> filled with the Holy Ghost, began to
-
speak with other tongues as the spirit
-
gave them utterance. So we can look back
-
through here and see where Jesus the
-
plan was to raise up a generation and
-
raise up a kingdom of born again
-
bloodbought believers but not just not
-
just those that know the son of God but
-
those that are sons and daughters of
-
God. I mean if you go back through to um
-
John chapter John chapter 1 12 I think
John 1 chapter mention
-
it is. It said he came to his own and
-
his own received him not.
-
>> Think about that. Paid the price. Came
-
to his own and his own received him not.
-
But to as many as believed on him,
-
>> to them gave he the power
-
>> to become the sons of God.
-
1 John chapter 3 verse one, he says,
1 John 3 chapter mention
-
"Now we are the sons of God, and it does
-
not yet appear who what we shall be."
-
And so on. Okay. So God empowered us to
-
be sons and daughters of the living God.
-
All right. Now, that being the case, um
-
I want to just take a few minutes. We
-
could go for a few days, few weeks,
-
whatever. But just for a few minutes, um
-
what does that mean to us? That that
-
gives us an assurance. That gives us a
-
guarantee. There's certain things when I
-
became a child of God that made that
-
that absolutely assured some things into
-
my life and your life. When Jesus paid
-
the price to bring us out of being
-
friends or bring us out of being
-
servants, went to bring us into being
-
sons, that made some guarantees. There's
-
some certain things that we could we can
-
count on. You can take it to the bank,
-
it's always going to be God's never
-
going to change. And so if you go back
-
through there, uh the first thing we can
-
look at is the first great difference is
-
we spent 4,000 years of God being with
-
us. All of a sudden, when we became
-
sons, it switched over not to God being
-
with us, but God being in us.
-
>> Every And when that happens, everything
-
changes.
-
Everything changes over there in
-
Colossians chapter 1. I think it's verse
Colossians 1 chapter mention
-
27 says uh the the mystery that's been
-
hidden through for the ages but now it's
-
revealed to us which is Christ
-
>> in you the hope of glory.
-
>> Okay. One translation would basically
-
say Christ in you the uh the expectation
-
of his manifestation.
-
>> God lives on the inside of us. And we've
-
talked about this before. I've read how
-
John G. lake. Uh when he was in
-
particularly in South Africa, he'd get
-
all dressed up, ready to go. Started, I
-
don't know, 500 churches um had over
-
100,000 people uh basically when he
-
moved back to Spokane, Washington. Had
-
over 100,000 people uh with divine
-
healing taken place in their bodies,
-
amazing miracles. But he'd get himself
-
all dressed up, ready to go, head out on
-
the city, and he'd stand in front of a
-
mirror before he left the house, and
-
he'd point at himself. I've studied for
-
years. I wanted to know what did Lake
-
know that I don't know?
-
>> What did he do that I don't know how to
-
do? What what did he operate in that the
-
church is not operating? Why did we have
-
one John Lake?
-
>> So good.
-
>> I asked somebody one time, I said, "Why?
-
Why did we only have one Smith
-
Wigglesworth?" I think it was talking to
-
We're talking to brother Osborne, TL
-
Osborne. I think it was him that we were
-
talking to. And I said, 'Why did we just
-
have one one uh uh Smith Wigglesworth?
-
He said, 'Oh, we didn't have just one
-
Smiggle Smith Wigglesworth. He said, 'We
-
had Smith Wigglesworth all over the
-
world. He said, it's just that very few
-
people took time to write it down.
-
Somebody wrote it all down. If people
-
start writing down what we see, we're
-
going to have a lot more Wigglesworths
-
that are going to take that same place.
-
>> I thought that was pretty good.
-
So now go back wherever I was before I
-
jumped off on that.
-
>> Thank you. Expectation of his
-
manifestation.
-
>> Okay. So if we go back there, we we can
-
see where where uh God ra he's raising
-
up a a generation, not just a
-
generation, a kingdom of people that
-
walk in the power of God. And that's
-
what he's trying to get us there for to
-
to get where we see it. we we walk in
-
and and if you see that with um with uh
-
uh Jesus working through the the lives
-
of his disciples and then passing that
-
on, he passed it on uh Luke the 9th
-
chapter, passed it on to the 12. And
-
then you go to the 10th chapter, he
-
passed it on to the 120 or this I'm
-
sorry, first to the three and then to
-
the 12. And then you get to Mark 16, he
-
passed it on to the body of Christ.
-
>> Isn't that what he said?
-
Go into all the world, preach the gospel
-
to every creature. He that believes and
-
is baptized shall be saved. He that
-
believes not shall be damned. And these
-
signs will follow
-
>> specially gifted people, apostles and
-
prophets. No, these signs shall follow
-
the believing ones. God's been trying to
-
get that across to the church for 2,000
-
years now. It's about time we got that.
-
>> Okay. And so going back through here,
-
when we take a look at at what God's
-
doing in the church world doing for us,
-
in us, to us, and through us, God's
-
wanting us to get hold of who we are in
-
Christ. Okay? What is what did
-
redemption do for us? What's it doing in
-
us? And what does God want to do through
-
us? Who are we in Christ? Let the
-
redeemed of the Lord say so. We got to
-
know so to be able to say so. Yeah.
-
>> So anyway, uh as as we go back through,
-
I'm trying to find a place to cut this
-
off so we don't go all day long. But as
-
we go back through there, we see that
-
with that, um
-
um
-
Jesus raised us up and through the new
-
birth made us son, sons and daughters of
-
the living God. We're in the family of
-
God. We're children of God. He lives in
-
us. He walks in us. He talks in us.
-
We're we're the redeemed of the Lord. We
-
have a covenant with God. Okay. And and
-
that being the case now, what are we
-
going to do with that? When's the church
-
going to get hold of the fact that I am
-
a child of God? You know, people say,
-
people say, "Well, you know, Jesus
-
worked all the miracles because he was
-
the son of God." Well, that's wonderful,
-
but who do you think you are?
-
>> I'm going to say that again. If Jesus
-
worked all the miracles because he was
-
the son of God, then what excuse do we
-
have to not be working the miracles? If
-
it's just by sunship alone, then we're
-
we've cut ourselves short,
-
>> right?
-
>> If he if Jesus was the son of God and he
-
showed us a son, acted as a son,
-
empowered us as sons, and made us sons.
-
Okay? To as many as believed on him, to
-
them gave the power to become the sons
-
of God. If he did all that, then why are
-
we not doing what he did? Well, you
-
know, I'm waiting to be empowered. He
-
said, "Verily, verily." John 14:12,
-
verily, verily, I say unto you, he that
-
>> believeth on me, the
-
>> the works that I do shall he do also,
-
and
-
>> and greater works than these shall he he
-
who he that believes on me.
-
>> He's empowered us for that. So anyway,
-
going back through there,
-
the first the first basic the the first
-
everything that changed the minute the
-
minute we got born again, I I you know,
-
I go back through and when I got my life
-
right with God, which was November 1972,
-
I went to a meeting, prayed a prayer,
-
got my life right with God, I didn't
-
know what happened, but all of a sudden
-
something changed in there. All of a
-
sudden, it's Christ in me, the hope of
-
glory. I didn't know what that meant. I
-
didn't know it was a reality, but it was
-
him on the inside of me. And things
-
begin to change. And the more I learned
-
about that, the more things begin to
-
change about that. First thing is to
-
find you. When we find out Christ on the
-
inside of us, Christ in us, the hope of
-
glory, the expectation of his
-
manifestation. Once I get hold of who he
-
is in me, everything's going to change.
-
>> Everything's going to change. Where I
-
go, he goes.
-
>> You know, uh, um, John G. lake stood in
-
front of a mirror before he went out to
-
go after the lost, go after the sick,
-
the halt, the lame, the blind. Before he
-
do that, he'd stand in front of the
-
mirror, point his finger at the guy in
-
the mirror, and he'd say, "God lives in
-
that man." See, like I said, I wanted to
-
know what did he know better than I know
-
it. What did he know that changed his
-
life? What did he know that empowered
-
him to get 100,000 people healed
-
of permanent illnesses in the city of
-
Spokane, Washington when he moved back
-
to the States? What what did he have? He
-
understood one thing. What was that? God
-
lives in that man. I thought if that's
-
all he had, we should all be doing that.
-
We should all be standing in front of a
-
mirror on a regular basis going, "God,
-
God's not going to go with that person.
-
God's going in that person. Where they
-
go, God goes. Where they go, God goes.
-
Whatever direction they go, God goes
-
with them. If they go bad places, God's
-
going to ride along.
-
>> If they hang around people they
-
shouldn't be hanging around, God's going
-
to go right along with them. Why? God
-
lives in that person. Yes.
-
>> So the first thing is if you go back to
-
uh 1 Corinthians chapter 3,
1 Corinthians 3 chapter mention
-
>> God says back there, Paul says to the
-
Corinthians uh know the not know you not
-
that you're the temple of God and the
-
spirit of God lives in you.
-
>> That's 1 Corinthians chapter 3. 1
1 Corinthians 3 chapter mention 1 Corinthians 6 chapter mention
-
Corinthians chapter 6 says the same
-
thing again. Know you not that you're
-
the temple of God and the spirit of God
-
lives in you? And then you go over to 2
2 Corinthians 6 chapter mention
-
Corinthians chapter 6. What fellowship
-
hath righteousness with unrighteousness?
-
What fellowship hath the temple of God
-
with unbelie? He calls us the temple of
-
God.
-
>> Okay. 1 John 4:4, "Greater is he that's
-
>> in you than he that's in the world?"
-
Colossians chapter 1:27 says over there,
-
"Christ in you, the hope of glory."
-
God's been trying for 2,000 years to get
-
this into the church that we are sons of
-
God.
-
>> Beloved, you are sons of God. It does
-
not yet appear what we shall be.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> 1 John chapter 3:1. We don't get it yet,
-
but we're going to get it.
-
>> If God can just get us to grab hold of
-
this first step, I'll give you a couple
-
things and then we'll just pick up some
-
other time. First step is if you go back
-
through there, what is it? What What are
-
we guaranteed of? What's assurityity?
-
When when I'm a when I'm a not just a
-
servant but a son, what's guaranteed to
-
me? What is an absolute can't change it,
-
can't halt it, can't stop it, can't get
-
away from it? What do I have that I can
-
lean on in my walk with God? What what
-
can I have walking on this earth? Not
-
when I get to heaven. What can I have
-
walking on this? What can I have over
-
there? Well, if you look back over at
-
Romans chapter 8, I love that chapter.
Romans 8 chapter mention
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> Romans chapter 7. We'll get to seven one
Romans 7 chapter mention
-
of these days. Paul talked about the
-
problem he had between his as a
-
believer, as a Holy Ghost fililled,
-
tongue-talking, Bible believing,
-
scripture quoting believer. The trouble
-
he had between his flesh and his spirit.
-
Seventh chapter of Romans. Then you get
-
to the eighth chapter and he says over
-
there, "For the law of the spirit of
-
life in Christ Jesus has set me free
-
from the law of sin and death." That's
-
huge. We ought to be quoting that on a
-
regular basis. The law of the spirit of
-
life in Christ Jesus has set me free
-
from the law of sin and death. I was
-
under the law of sin and death, but I
-
got set free.
-
>> And you move along, you get down to the
-
11th verse, and he says over there,
-
if the spirit that raised up, now he's
-
talking to New Testament believers,
-
writing to the church at Rome. He says
-
over there in Romans chapter 8 11 said
Romans 8 chapter mention
-
if the spirit of him that raised up
-
Jesus from the dead dwells.
-
>> See he's been talking about God living
-
in us. You can just back it up two
-
verses and he talks about that he's not
-
just with us. He's in us.
-
>> He's not just walking side by side. He's
-
living wallto-wall. I am wallto-wall
-
God.
-
>> We used to sell wallto-wall houses in
-
the real estate business. Wall to-all
-
carpet. I don't want wall to-all carpet.
-
I want wallto-wall God. I want fingertip
-
to fingertip, head to toe.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
>> And that's what he said in there. If but
-
if
-
>> if my call if the spirit of him that
-
raised up Jesus from the dead dwells
-
>> in you.
-
>> It's not about with you.
-
>> Oh, I tell you, wherever I go, God goes
-
with me. No, he doesn't. He goes in you.
-
>> I'll never leave you nor forsake you.
-
But if the spirit of him that raised up
-
Jesus, you can look at it if you want.
-
>> Well, there it is right there.
-
But if the spirit of him that raised up
-
Jesus from the dead dwells
-
>> in you,
-
if if we just stick with that until it
-
sticks with us.
-
>> Luke 9:44, let these sayings sink down
-
into your ears. Don't just get them in
-
these ears. Get them in these ears. get
-
it on the inside where I can stand in
-
front of a mirror and say God lives in
-
that person. Wherever I go today, he
-
goes not just with me, he goes in me.
-
I'm wallto-wall God. Fingertip to
-
fingertip, head to toe. I am wall to
-
wall. Wherever I go, God goes with me. I
-
want to be cautious where I go. Because
-
he's he's in for the ride.
-
>> He's not going to sit home and say,
-
"Well, if you go the right places, I'll
-
go with you." He says, "I'm with you
-
>> always." But if the spirit of him that
-
raised up Jesus, the Holy Ghost, the one
-
that raised Jesus, who's the one that
-
raised him from the dead? The spirit of
-
the living God.
-
>> But if the spirit of him that raised
-
Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he
-
that raised up Christ from the dead will
-
also Now, now notice what do I have a
-
guarantee here?
-
>> I didn't write this. He did.
-
>> Where'd that go again?
-
But if the spirit of him that raised up
-
Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
-
does he or doesn't he?
-
>> He that raised up Christ from the dead
-
shall also quicken. Amplified, I think,
-
says quicken, make alive, and heal
-
>> your mortal. He's not say, "Well, that's
-
heaven." No, no, my mortal body is not
-
going to heaven with me. I got a whole
-
new set up there. That's right.
-
>> But if the spirit of him that raised up
-
Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he
-
that raised up Christ from the dead will
-
also quicken, make alive, and heal your
-
mortal deathdoomed body.
-
>> How? By the spirit that dwells in you.
-
When he put the Holy Ghost in me, there
-
was purpose in that.
-
>> When he moved on the inside, one of his
-
jobs was to quicken, make alive, and
-
heal my mortal body. That's a That is
-
not a I hope God heals me. That is not a
-
well, he's promised to heal me. No, he
-
didn't promise to heal me. He went ahead
-
and did it.
-
>> Well, I know healing is a promise.
-
Healing is not a promise. It is a truth.
-
>> It's already been bought, purchased, and
-
paid for. When he moved in, the healer's
-
in the house.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
>> The healer's in the house.
-
>> I don't have to go find him. He's living
-
in me.
-
>> When we need healing in our body, we
-
shouldn't go meeting to meeting to
-
meeting trying to find him. We ought to
-
get on our face before God and rejoice
-
because he's living on the inside of me.
-
Christ in us, the hope of glory, the
-
expectation of his manifesting. I'd
-
expect his manifestation because I know
-
he's in me.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Thank you, Lord.
-
>> That's just one.
-
>> Really the And then it gets better after
-
that. Then you go to the 14th verse.
-
>> 14th verse, right?
-
We That one ought to be automatic for
-
us. For as many as are
-
>> what?
-
>> For as many as are
-
>> led by the spirit of God.
-
>> They are the sons of God. I have a
-
privilege to be healed because the
-
healer is in the house and he's already
-
done his part. I'm not trying to get it
-
from the outside in. I just need to get
-
it from the inside out.
-
>> I just needed to get here, up here, and
-
out here instead of trying to get in the
-
right meeting where it gets on me. Now,
-
I understand there are meetings where
-
God does things. I understand
-
manifestations of the Holy Ghost. But
-
I'll tell you what, we ought to be more
-
conscious of the fact the healer is
-
living on the inside of me.
-
>> God wouldn't have put him in me if he
-
didn't expect me to tap into that and
-
get healed by what he does.
-
>> That's just what he does.
-
>> Then you get over to the 14th verse.
-
>> For as many as are what?
-
>> Oh, here it starts getting better. I'm
-
going to have to quit. We we'll be here
-
all afternoon for as many as our
-
>> this this is a subject in itself. We'll
-
come back another another Sunday. But it
-
but he says back here for as many as our
-
this this is where it starts getting
-
really good. This is the thing that
-
changes everything. I know when I got
-
born again the spirit of God moved on
-
the inside. He lives in me.
-
>> He's not going anywhere. He's not coming
-
and going.
-
>> Somebody said one time to me, wonder if
-
so and so if they've got saved again.
-
Well, I hope they did because if they
-
gave it away once, they're not going to
-
get it back again. He said, "I'll never
-
leave you."
-
>> God's not going to leave us.
-
>> Why would he leave us? He doesn't come
-
and go.
-
>> It's not one of those deals. It's not
-
Burger King. It's not have it your way.
-
It's not late. No. No.
-
>> Right.
-
>> That's what he says. He lives in the
-
inside of us. And if he does that, if he
-
lives on the inside of us, first and
-
foremost, he says, "First thing I'll do
-
is I'll heal your mortal body."
-
>> That's not that's not even just a
-
promise. That's a fact.
-
>> Well, I know God promised to heal me.
-
No, he didn't. He just went ahead and
-
did it.
-
>> He did his part. If we'll just reach out
-
and take our part. And then let's just
-
jump over this one. We'll finish. Then
-
if you go to Romans chapter 8:14, where
-
he says, "For as many as are
-
>> led by the spirit of God," this is where
-
it gets really good. This is what
-
changes everything. This is the bottom
-
line to all of it. For as many as are
-
>> led
-
by the spirit of God, for as many as are
-
led by the spirit of God, they are the
-
>> the minute I got born again, I didn't
-
grow into being a son. I was born that
-
way.
-
>> It wasn't like, well, you know, all of a
-
sudden, man, I'm 17 years old. Do I get
-
to be a son now? I was born one.
-
>> How do you get to be a son of God?
-
You're born as one.
-
>> Amen. You don't, you know, you don't
-
just walk with God for 15 years and then
-
say, "God, can I have a uh something to
-
put on my wall says I'm now a son of?"
-
No, you're born into that. It's a
-
birthright.
-
>> It's not just if you do all the right
-
things. It's if you're in the right
-
family.
-
>> If the spirit of him that raised up
-
Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he
-
that raised up Christ from the dead will
-
also quicken, make alive, and heal our
-
mortal body. Then you get over to the
-
14th verse and said, "For as many as are
-
>> led by the spirit of God, they are the
-
sons of God." The minute the minute I
-
moved in the family of God, the minute
-
God lived on the inside of me, I have an
-
instant fulltime all the time, every
-
situation, every nation, every time,
-
I've got somebody living on the inside
-
of me.
-
>> And he knows everything.
-
>> Now, if there's anything he doesn't tell
-
me, it's because it's none of my
-
business
-
>> and it doesn't pertain to me. I've had
-
him tell me those things. I I can think
-
of a few in the past five years where
-
trying to pray about some situations.
-
Not really none of my business. I was
-
just trying to help somebody. And I've
-
had the Holy Ghost say, "Leave it alone.
-
It's not your business."
-
>> Whoa.
-
Okay.
-
And it wasn't. But I was trying to make
-
it my business. It's okay. But if he
-
said it's none of your business, it's
-
because none of your business. Anything
-
that is your business, he'll tell you
-
anything you need to know.
-
>> All the facts, all the figures, all the
-
numbers, everything lives on the inside.
-
>> It's already there. I'm telling you,
-
find that out. I was so glad to let me
-
finish with this. When we uh
-
when we were, like I said, when we were
-
getting ready to leave for um our our
-
first trip was going to be from here to
-
Dallas, Dallas to um
-
Madrid. Thank you. Madrid. We've been a
-
been everywhere, man. We went to Madrid.
-
Then from Madrid, we were going over to
-
uh uh to uh
-
we're going over to Israel,
-
right?
-
>> You don't know. Don't hold us
-
accountable for anything. give us one or
-
two more days.
-
We're going from Madrid and we're going
-
from Madrid anyway. We're we're supposed
-
to end up eventually into uh Tel Aviv
-
and we're on our way over there, but we
-
had good
-
friends that knew a lot more than we
-
know that said, you know, in so many
-
words send you you're going to have to
-
do what you need to do, but I I don't
-
recommend you take this trip.
-
People in some places that knew a lot
-
more than we did. I don't recommend you
-
take this trip. There's a war that could
-
break out anywhere from 5 to 20 days and
-
it's a pretty sure thing it's going to
-
happen and you don't want to be over
-
here and not able to get out. And I
-
thought, well, that's a lot of truth to
-
that.
-
But but so like Pastor Janice said, she
-
and myself and then and then brother
-
Joe, we just were went three different
-
directions and all of us prayed. All of
-
us said, "What have we got on the
-
inside?" Every one of us, we got back on
-
the phone and said, "I've got absolutely
-
not a care in the world. I do not have
-
an issue. I do not have a problem. I do
-
not have a hesitation. I don't care if
-
they say the whole world's going to blow
-
up in the next 5 days because somehow
-
the greater one on the inside let us
-
know, don't be concerned about it."
-
>> We got on the plane, ended up there in
-
two and a half days, I think it was. We
-
got over there, walked the streets,
-
walked down into the city, walked down
-
by the great the Western Wall. We've
-
went all these different places. Went
-
back to the hotel and prayed. Never had
-
a concern, a care.
-
>> Middle of the night, middle of the
-
night, a siren went off in our hotel and
-
a lot of talking, but it was all it
-
wasn't in English. I didn't know if they
-
were telling us to get out, get under
-
the bed, go down to I I didn't know what
-
they were saying, but I do not like my
-
sleep being disturbed.
-
And my wife was so sound asleep, she
-
never even heard it.
-
Joe and I were talking the next next
-
day. Do you know what that was? I don't
-
know what it was. Somebody went to the
-
front desk and they said, "Oh, there was
-
a problem with the electrical system in
-
the hotel."
-
Well, you could have told us that in
-
English. That would have been nice. But
-
anyway,
-
but the bottom line, there was no
-
concern. No. Why? Because we checked on
-
the inside. Greater is he that's in you
-
than he that's in the world. I got
-
somebody living in me that's greater
-
than anybody on the outside. If every
-
devil in hell camped out on my doorstep
-
all at the same time, I'd say, "Take a
-
number.
-
Hallelujah.
-
>> I have no care. I have no worry. I have
-
no fret. I have no anxiety. And I'm sure
-
not going to be afraid of you.
-
>> You want to mess with me, take a number.
-
Cuz there's a lion out there. And it it
-
just ain't going to happen. Why? Because
-
I know who. Not because I'm the hot
-
shot. I just know who's living in me.
-
>> And once we get to that place,
-
>> look out, devil. We're going to we're
-
going to do our job. And my job is to
-
get stopped. So, let's all stand to our
-
feet.
-
Somebody says, "Well, that's two.
-
I know. I know beyond a shadow of a
-
doubt that he'll quicken my mortal body.
-
And I know beyond a shadow of a doubt
-
that he'll lead, guide, and direct my
-
life. Everything that pertains to me,
-
he'll connect. He He'll talk to me about
-
that." Oh, what? There's a lot more.
-
We'll get back to it sometime. That's
-
just one and two. There's a whole lot
-
more that God set us up for. Once we
-
know this, once we know this, we are set
-
up for victory. That's who we are. We
-
are a victorious people. Doesn't matter.
-
I mean, look at Israel. Probably one of
-
the smallest nations in the world. And
-
most of the world wants to do away with
-
them. And it's not going to happen.
-
>> They can whine and ball squall, cry all
-
they want, but they're not going to take
-
Israel out. Why? Because God has a
-
covenant with them.
-
>> Doesn't matter how big, how strong, how
-
smart you, it doesn't make any
-
difference. It's if you got a covenant,
-
if you got that, you're in good shape.
-
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank
-
you so much. I thank you so much. I
-
thank you so much for who we are. We've
-
been made u sons and daughters of the
-
living God. You made us, you put us in
-
your family. We're not just wandering
-
like a beggar through the heat and the
-
cold.
-
We We are the redeemed of the Lord. And
-
I pray this over, Father, over us. May
-
we may we catch this like we've never
-
caught it before. Go in places we've
-
never gone with it before. May we be
-
able to rise up
-
and boldly declare, I know who I am. I
-
know who'sse I am. I know who I'm in. I
-
know who's in me. And that's all there
-
is to it. It's not going to change.
-
I'm a part of the family of God. I'm a
-
part of the kingdom of God. I'm I am the
-
redeemed of the Lord. I'm not just a
-
friend, a servant. I am a son of
-
Almighty God.
-
And there's nothing like that on planet
-
earth, heaven, earth, or hell. There's
-
nothing like being a child of God.
-
Hallelujah. So I ask you, dear Lord, if
-
anybody's in this room this this morning
-
that's never made Jesus Lord of their
-
life, never been born again, never
-
become a son of God. Some of us didn't
-
know if we were or we weren't. Some of
-
us weren't real sure about that. Some of
-
us didn't know if we'd walked away. We
-
Some of us we just didn't we just plain
-
didn't know. Once we got it settled,
-
there's no changing it. If there's
-
anybody in the sound of my voice that
-
has not made Jesus, they've not made
-
that
-
decision
-
to step into the shities, the guarantees
-
of what who who we have and what we have
-
as children of God, sons of God. If
-
there's anybody here that's never done
-
that, Lord, I ask you to stir them. Let
-
them know there's never a better time
-
than today.
-
Let them know today they can be
-
bloodbought, born again, made a child of
-
God, and that'll never go away.
-
So, heads bowed, eyes closed. Anybody
-
here to say, "Pastor Mark, pray for me.
-
I want to make Jesus Lord of my life
-
today. I want to come in the family of
-
God. I want to be a child of God. I want
-
to be a son of God." If that's you, wave
-
your hand at me. I want to pray for you.
-
You don't have to work your way in.
-
Don't have to earn your way in. All you
-
got to do is just talk your way in.
-
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.
-
Anybody here? Just wave your hand at me.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Glory to God. Praise God. Well, Father,
-
in the name of Jesus, I thank you so
