Let's open our Bibles. Let's open our
-
Bibles
-
uh to uh the 11th chapter of the book of
-
Hebrews. Hebrews chapter 11. And uh
Hebrews 11 chapter mention
-
we'll go a little ways in here. I don't
-
know how many Wednesday nights we'll
-
we'll be on this subject, but um but
-
I've had this oh probably for for the
-
last week now. Just off and on just kept
-
getting the phrase on the inside. Um
-
yeah, I remember um when I got my life
-
right with God, which was uh um November
-
of uh 1972
-
and u you know started finding my way to
-
walk with God and it was a long trip,
-
you know, and uh you know and and and
-
there were subjects I wanted to get hold
-
of. I I didn't know anything about
-
anything. I had a Bible um it had a
-
Bible with a zipper cover on the thing
-
and I don't think I ever opened the
-
zipper. I didn't know you're supposed to
-
read that. Didn't go didn't know you're
-
supposed to go to a church. If there had
-
been one there, I wouldn't have known to
-
go to it. Um, and there were a few
-
churches there that I look back now and
-
I'm really thankful I didn't find my way
-
there. Um but going back through and and
-
uh and I I know the something you know
-
sometimes you just know you just know
-
some things in your knower and another
-
time we'll get more on this subject. But
-
uh I I there was a there was an inward
-
knowing by the spirit of God. I don't
-
know where I don't know how it got
-
there. I don't know. Somebody somebody
-
somewhere must have been praying
-
something over me because I sure wasn't
-
praying it for myself. But I I had an
-
inward knowing about angels. There was
-
just something on the inside. And as
-
because of some things that in that
-
capacity, uh I had some um
-
uh interesting encounters with angels.
-
Okay? And maybe we'll get to that some
-
other time, but but uh there are a
-
couple there are a few times angels
-
saved my hide, and I know they did.
-
There's there's there's a reason I'm
-
alive and well. today because some
-
angels did their job and I it wasn't
-
that I expected it. I was just glad when
-
it happened and um had one of them I you
-
know I don't know what the voice of an
-
angel sounds like but I heard the voice
-
said said a something to me uh changed
-
the course of my future from that time
-
on and so you know so so that was
-
interesting but I you know there's one
-
subject there and I I don't know why it
-
seemed to stir so much in me but the
-
subject of faith okay I knew I needed it
-
I just I just knew I didn't have it, you
-
know, and I I did everything to try to
-
get it. I went to church and I prayed.
-
Everybody else did. I figured I'd do
-
what they were doing. None of us did
-
very well. And u you know, had the
-
subject of of faith. Didn't know what
-
that meant. I knew I should have had
-
some. I knew I didn't have any. And I I
-
I prayed. I I even fasted a little bit.
-
Didn't like the thought of fasting, but
-
I tried that a couple times. um went to
-
the church, spent time during the day,
-
went into the church and went in and do
-
did some praying now and then and just
-
wasn't doing it wasn't doing anything.
-
But the subject really
-
>> [snorts]
-
>> uh it stirred me and I prayed about it.
-
I said, "Lord, I don't know what all
-
this is. I don't know this faith
-
business. I don't know what it means. I
-
don't know how to get it. I I don't know
-
what it is. I don't know how to get it.
-
I just know I don't got it." And that
-
just left me in kind of a mess. So,
-
excuse me. So, we uh kept going that
-
direction, but um uh I've got I got a
-
phrase because it just stirred in the
-
last uh few days. Uh afraid just f the
-
phrase rolls up on the inside, the life
-
of faith. The life of faith. And a lot
-
of times we're we're looking for an
-
event of faith, but we look to we need
-
to go beyond an event of faith and go
-
into a life of faith. Sometimes an event
-
of faith says it'll get me either healed
-
if I'm sick, it'll get me blessed if I'm
-
broke. You know, if I can just get my
-
faith to work for one thing, I need it
-
beyond that. I need it for life.
-
>> I need it to work from morning till
-
night and then on the way through. I
-
don't need it just to fix something, you
-
know, just in one particular essence. I
-
I I need it working on a regular basis.
-
>> So, that kind of got me stirred. So, uh
-
we're we're going to start with Hebrews
-
the 11th chapter. You just can't do much
-
better than that for a beginning. Okay.
-
Hebrews chapter 11. We'll go to verse
Hebrews 11 chapter mention
-
one. And um we probably won't get as far
-
as I want to get here, but as I always
-
say, this is why we have until the
-
rapture, best I can tell. But we go back
-
here, Hebrews chapter 11, and we'll go
Hebrews 11 chapter mention
-
to verse one. And this, you know, of
-
course, there's different uh theories on
-
who the author of uh uh Hebrews was. Um
-
but I know who it was. It was God. Okay,
-
so we're we're good there. All
-
scriptures given by inspiration of God.
-
So, I got that part figured out. You
-
know, was it Paul? Was it Barnabas? Was
-
it I don't really know. And I honestly
-
don't even care. I just I just know that
-
God wrote it and I needed it and need
-
it.
-
>> But now he's talking here in Hebrews
Hebrews 11 chapter mention
-
chapter 11.
-
And he says uh um I'm going to jump in
-
with the assumption that this was the
-
Apostle Paul because of the writing. And
-
if it was Barnabas, fine. We'll let him
-
him have credit when we get to the other
-
side. But he says, "Now, now faith is
-
now faith is." Now, we could stop right
-
there and spend a couple weeks. Now,
-
faith is now faith. Faith is now. If
-
it's not now, it's not faith.
-
>> Well, I believe God's going to do
-
something. Well, that's great, but faith
-
isn't. It's not tomorrow. It's not
-
yesterday. Faith's now.
-
>> But he says, "Now faith is the substance
-
of things hoped for, the evidence of
-
things not seen. For by it, the elders
-
obtain obtained a good report. Through
-
faith we understand that the worlds the
-
worlds were framed by the word of God.
-
So that the things which are seen were
-
not made of things which do appear. You
-
know everything we see started from
-
something we don't see. Everything
-
started out. That's why the world has
-
such a hard time getting this all
-
figured out because this all came from
-
something that you don't see. God said
-
let there be light and it all started
-
there. But anyway, he goes on and says,
-
"By faith, Abel offered unto God a more
-
excellent sacrifice than Cain. By faith
-
he obtained witness that he was
-
righteous. God testifying of his gifts.
-
And by it he uh being dead yet speaketh.
-
Now verse five. By faith Enoch was
-
translated that he should not see death.
-
And he was not found because God had
-
translated him. For before his
-
translation he had this testimony that
-
he pleased God. You know that's a good
-
way to finish up whether you whether you
-
take your body and go or whether you
-
leave that behind. If you can finish out
-
with the testimony you please God.
-
That's a great start. That's the best
-
you can get. So anyway, for he had this
-
testimony that he pleased God. Now verse
-
six, it says, "But without faith," this
-
part we're looking for to start with,
-
"But without faith, it's impossible to
-
please him." Without faith, it's
-
impossible. Doesn't say it's difficult,
-
said it's impossible. Without faith,
-
it's impossible to please him. For he
-
that cometh unto God must believe he is,
-
and that he's a reward of them that
-
diligently seek him. And then of course
-
we could go on and on from there. But we
-
we want to start out here that this must
-
be vitally important because there there
-
aren't many things in the scriptures
-
that say you can't please without you
-
can't please God without this.
-
>> Okay? Without without faith it's
-
impossible to please him. Well now again
-
we could go a lot of different
-
directions with that and we'll all be
-
good. But that's the beginning point.
-
This and if you stop and think about it
-
then it must not be difficult to get
-
faith because the only way you can
-
please him is to have faith. And if if
-
you can't please him without faith, then
-
it must be pretty easy to get it.
-
>> That's right.
-
>> Okay. So, anyway, so going back through
-
here, let's back up just a chapter over
-
to the 10th chapter. And uh we we'll
-
we'll kind of plug plug in from there,
-
chapter uh 10. And uh the author says
-
here in verse 32, "But call to
-
remembrance the former days in which
-
after you were illuminated, you endured
-
a great fight of afflictions." Now,
-
there's a lot of things we could say
-
there, but I don't know about you. I
-
know I know when I first started walking
-
with God, first start getting some
-
answers to some things, man, I'd get a
-
hold of a truth in the scripture. I
-
think, "Oh, this just wonderful." You
-
know, I get hold of something about
-
healing. I'd think I'll never be sick a
-
day. I'll I'll never be sick another day
-
in my life. which was great until the
-
next morning. [laughter]
-
>> I'll never be broke again. And then the
-
next day, you know, so sometimes what
-
happens, he said, you you endure a great
-
fight of afflictions. Sometimes just
-
getting the uh um getting the truth in
-
there. Uh you know, we know persecution
-
and affliction come for the the word the
-
word's sake. We know that in Mark's
-
gospel in the second chapter. But he
-
goes here and he says um
-
he says uh partly while verse 33 partly
-
while you were made a gazing stock both
-
by reproaches and afflictions and partly
-
while I became companions of them that
-
were so used for you had compassion to
-
me in my bonds and took joyfully the
-
spoiling of your goods. How many of us
-
have done that? Took joyfully the
-
spoiling of your goods knowing in
-
yourselves.
-
Now, King James says, "Knowing in
-
yourselves that you have in heaven a
-
better and an enduring substance." One
-
translation says, "Knowing that you have
-
in you, you took joyfully the spoiling
-
of your goods, knowing because you have
-
something in you, a better and an
-
enduring substance."
-
>> You got something on the inside of you.
-
>> Okay. Now, and he says, "You have a
-
better and an enduring substance." Well,
-
what substance do we have? Well, if you
-
look at Hebrews chapter 1, now faith is
Hebrews 1 chapter mention
-
the substance. He says, "You took
-
joyfully the spoiling of your goods
-
because you know you got something in
-
you." You know how you got it the first
-
time, you know how you can get it the
-
second time. [snorts] You know how you
-
got healing the first time, you know how
-
to get it the second time.
-
>> You know how to get your need your needs
-
met and your bills paid the first time.
-
You know how to get it the second time.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Okay. Now, he goes in here and he says
-
um
-
he says uh verse 35, cast not away
-
therefore your confidence which hath
-
great recompense of reward. Verse 36,
-
for you have need of patience. Don't you
-
just love finding that you need have
-
need of patience that after you've done
-
the will of God, you might receive the
-
promise. Will of God's always to step
-
into the life of faith. Now verse 37,
-
for yet a little while and he that shall
-
come will come and will not tarry. Now
-
verse 38, now the just shall live by
-
that's part I want to get to. Now the
-
just shall live by faith and if any man
-
draws back, my soul shall have no
-
pleasure in him. The didn't say the just
-
shall do a faith thing, have a faith
-
project. the the the the just will use
-
their faith and get their bodies healed.
-
Although that's a part of it. But when
-
[snorts] he goes in here, he says, "Now
-
the now now he that's coming that will
-
he will come. He will not tear. He will
-
come." He says, "But for now,
-
>> now the just shall live by faith."
-
>> That's our lifestyle. It's not just what
-
we do. It's what we are. The just shall
-
live by faith. Okay?
-
>> Amen.
-
And
-
so, um, backing up from here now, the
-
just shall live by faith. That's our
-
lifestyle. That's what we do. We we walk
-
the faith walk. We live the faith life.
-
And if we just figure out how to get
-
that working, we'll be in good shape.
-
>> Okay. So, what we want to do is want to
-
take a look at this and find out how
-
does this work? It must be pretty simple
-
or God wouldn't have told us we all have
-
to do it.
-
>> We need to do it to please God. But with
-
that being the case, uh going back
-
through, let's go back to um um
-
2 Corinthians chapter 4.
2 Corinthians 4 chapter mention
-
2 Corinthians chapter 4
2 Corinthians 4 chapter mention
-
and uh verse 13. Now Paul's writing back
-
in here 2 Corinthians chapter 4:13. He
-
makes a statement in here. He says now
-
>> he says here 13th uh verse we we having
-
the same spirit of faith. I remember
-
seeing that years ago and I thought when
-
the apostle Paul writes and he says we
-
having the same spirit of faith. He
-
didn't say I got a I got a good spirit
-
of faith. I got it. It took me a lot of
-
years to get it. You know stick with it.
-
You may you may be all right. You're on
-
your own. Have a good time. No. He said
-
we we what we have. He's telling me, I
-
got something. Whether I know it or not,
-
we having the same spirit of faith.
-
According as it is written, I believed
-
and therefore have I spoken, we also
-
believe and therefore speak. He gave us
-
uh the the foundations of how faith
-
really works. The two basic principles
-
that faith's going to work on. He said,
-
"We having the same spirit of faith,
-
according as it is written, I believed
-
and therefore have I spoken. We also
-
believe and therefore speak." Faith
-
works with two basic pre. Now there are
-
a lot of other things that work in
-
there. You know faith is acting on the
-
word. Um we know from reading the
-
scriptures over in James you know that
-
faith without corresponding actions is
-
dead being alone and so on. But if we go
-
back through there faith operates
-
basically by two principles two laws in
-
there. It works by believing in the
-
heart same with the mouth. Now Paul
-
writing here to the Corinthians he says
-
we having the same spirit of faith
-
according as it is written I believed
-
and therefore have I spoken. We also
-
believe and therefore speak.
-
>> And so if we can get these two working
-
in our lives, believing and saying, do
-
get those two things working, we're
-
gonna be in good shape.
-
>> All right.
-
>> It's all right. Okay. All right. Let's
-
just put a little bit of a lid on this
-
here. We're okay. Thank you.
-
>> I work alone. So, so anyway, so
-
uh coming back through here, he says, um
-
we having the same spirit of faith
-
according as it is written, I believed
-
and therefore have I spoken. We also
-
believe and therefore speak. Now, it's a
-
life of faith. We learn how to get faith
-
working in our lives. But
-
[clears throat] to go back through here,
-
if we go to um let's go back to Romans
-
chapter I'm sorry, let's go to Mark
Mark 11 chapter mention
-
chapter 11. good place if we're going to
-
get on the subject of faith. Markap 11.
-
And he says here starting at verse uh
-
20. Markap 11 verse 20
-
and
-
this of course where Jesus spoke to the
-
fig tree and cursed it commanded to
-
wither and die said no man eat fruit of
-
the hereafter forever.
-
In the ver verse 20, in the morning as
-
they passed by, they saw the fig tree
-
dried up from the roots. And Peter uh
-
calling to remembrance said unto him,
-
"Master, behold the fig tree that thou
-
cursed is withered away." Verse 22,
-
Jesus answering said unto them, have
-
faith in God, or have the faith of God,
-
or have the God kind of faith. Okay.
-
Okay. Now verse 23. For verily I say
-
unto you that whosoever shall
-
say unto this mountain, be thou removed,
-
be thou cast into the sea, shall not
-
doubt in his heart, but shall believe
-
those things which he say shall come to
-
pass. He's going to have what he saith.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> So if you look at that verse, he's got
-
two subjects in here. He's got if you
-
believe in your heart that what you say
-
will come to pass, you'll have what you
-
say. Believing and saying. You get to
-
verse 24. Therefore I say unto you what
-
things soever you desire. When you pray,
-
believe you receive them and ye shall
-
have them. Believing and saying.
-
believing and saying. And if we can get
-
these two subjects working in our lives
-
in the believing and the saying part,
-
then faith's going to work. Those are
-
the two major concepts right there. Uh
-
and so
-
that being the case, um we'll get into
-
verse uh
-
back up over to Romans chapter 10.
Romans 10 chapter mention
-
Romans chapter 10.
Romans 10 chapter mention
-
>> [snorts]
-
>> and we'll go to verse six.
-
[snorts]
-
We see the same thing here. Okay, so
-
we've got over in Mark chapter 11, faith
Mark 11 chapter mention
-
works by what? Believing and saying.
-
Believing in the heart, saying with the
-
mouth. It's not that difficult thing. If
-
faith was that difficult, none of us
-
would be able to do it.
-
God made it so simple for us. He made it
-
so simple the kids get it and they teach
-
us. But he said, "Whosoever shall say
-
unto this mountain." Markap 11 verse 23.
-
Verse 24. Therefore I say unto you, what
-
things soever you desire when you pray,
-
believe you receive them, you shall have
-
them. Everything comes back to believing
-
in the heart, saying with the mouth,
-
believing in the heart say. How'd you
-
get saved to begin with? Romans chapter
Romans 10 chapter mention
-
10 verses, let's start with verse six.
-
All right. We see uh Romans chapter 10
-
verse 6. He says, "But the righteousness
-
which is of faith speaketh on this
-
faith." Did you notice? You can just
-
stop right there for a while. The
-
righteousness which is of faith
-
speaketh. If it's not speaking, it's not
-
faith.
-
>> I'll say that again. If it's not
-
speaking, it's not faith.
-
>> People say, "Well, I you know, I I you
-
know, I've had people say, "Well, I know
-
so and so was, you know, I know they I
-
know they used their faith and it didn't
-
work for them." No such thing.
-
>> Well, I know so and so used their faith.
-
I watched them and it didn't work. They
-
used their faith and and they didn't
-
they they went on over to heaven. Well,
-
it's great they went to heaven. But, you
-
know, the bottom line is you I've had a
-
lot of people say, "Well, you know, I I
-
know I I heard them. I I watched them.
-
They're a faith person. I know they
-
were. But what did they say?" Well, I
-
don't know what they said. I just know
-
they were believing God. Well, it's not
-
just what you believe, it's what you
-
say.
-
>> Is that what he said? All right.
-
>> So he says here,
-
he says, "But the righteousness which is
-
of faith speaketh on this wise, say not
-
in thine heart, who shall ascend into
-
heaven, that is to bring Christ down
-
from above, or who shall descend into
-
the deep, that is to bring Christ uh up
-
from again from the dead?" Verse uh 8,
-
"But what saith it?" What does faith
-
really say? It says, "But what saith it?
-
The word is nigh thee,
-
>> even in thy
-
>> mouth and in thy heart. That is the word
-
of faith which we preach. That if thou
-
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
-
Jesus and shall Do you ever stop and
-
think about that? I don't know about
-
you. I thought to get saved, I thought
-
you had to confess all your sins.
-
Nobody's got that much time. [laughter]
-
I mean, think about it. If you got to
-
confess all your sins to get saved,
-
think of what if you missed one.
-
>> What if you left it out? He never said
-
you get saved because you confess all
-
your sins. He said you got saved because
-
you confessed Jesus as Lord of your
-
life.
-
>> For with the heart man believed. Verse
-
got it right here. Romans chapter 10
-
verse 89 and 10. Verse 8. He says um he
-
says, "But what saith it? The word is
-
nigh thee even in thy mouth and in thy
-
heart that is the word of faith which we
-
preach." Okay. Then if thou shalt
-
confess with thy mouth the lordship of
-
Jesus. Getting saved is by confessing
-
Jesus as Lord, not confessing how many
-
sins we've committed. Okay.
-
that if thou shalt confess with thy
-
mouth the lordship of Jesus and shall
-
believe in thine heart that God hath
-
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
-
saved. For with the heart man believeth,
-
now here's what we're looking for. With
-
the heart man believeth unto
-
righteousness, and with the mouth
-
confessions made unto salvation or you
-
could say one translation, I found a
-
book, I've talked about this before. I
-
found a book in my grandmother's
-
library. It was from late 1800s and it's
-
called White Robes. And uh she said,
-
"You can have these books if you want
-
them." I took a couple of them home and
-
I got this book called White Robes and
-
one of the chapters says with with the
-
mouth confessions made unto I thought I
-
thought that was a new doctrine we got
-
in the 70s
-
but I read through that and what it says
-
in there with the mouth with the mouth
-
confession is made unto the author of
-
this book I don't even never heard of
-
the guy before since I've still got the
-
book somewhere but he said uh in this
-
book he said really what that should say
-
with the heart man believes under the
-
reality of the word.
-
>> See, when you when you start believing
-
the word of God, it becomes a reality.
-
>> But you know, I don't know about you, I
-
I had a lot of time when the word became
-
reality, but it just never came to
-
manifestation.
-
It was real to me when I when I got hold
-
of uh and you know, goodness. Uh at the
-
time when I just started walking with
-
God, I was I had left finally left
-
college, went back to my hometown, went
-
into real estate, and I'm going to try
-
to make some money, and things weren't
-
working very well, and I wasn't selling
-
anything, and I wasn't listing anything.
-
Things just weren't working at all. And
-
I did everything I could. I just
-
couldn't I couldn't get that faith stuff
-
to work for me. Okay? I believed. I I I
-
prayed. I fasted. I did everything, but
-
I just couldn't get it working for me.
-
But if you go back through here, he
-
says, "With the heart, man believes to
-
the reality of the word." Well, I
-
finally saw over in Philippians chapter
-
4:1 19 where it says, "And my God shall
-
supply all your need according to his
-
riches and glory by Christ Jesus." Well,
-
that's great. Okay, he said he'd do it.
-
I just got to figure out how to get him
-
to do it. Okay. But he said there with
-
the heart man, he says in Philippians
-
4:19, "My God shall supply all your need
-
according to his riches and glory by
-
Christ Jesus." All right. Okay. So
-
that's great, but it's not working. Now,
-
this guy says in this old book was
-
written in the 1800s. He said, "With a
-
heart, man believes to the reality of
-
the word, but with the mouth confessions
-
made to the manifestation of the word."
-
And so what he's saying is you can
-
believe God, you start believing what
-
God says, it becomes real. when you
-
start saying it, it becomes a
-
manifestation. A lot of times things
-
aren't working because we're just not
-
getting, we haven't got our words lined
-
up with our believing.
-
>> Okay. So, now that being the case, we
-
look over here and he says uh
-
um back up to uh
-
let's go back over to Mark chapter 11.
Mark 11 chapter mention
-
And we see the same thing again.
-
So he's he's we're looking at uh
-
Markap 11. We look at Romans chapter 10
-
verse 8 verse 9 verse 10. Every time we
-
find faith in here we find two things
-
working together. Believing in the heart
-
saying with the mouth. You can get one
-
of those working but it takes both. You
-
know, if one if you have a door on your
-
house and one of the hinges works, but
-
the other one doesn't, the door's not
-
going to work.
-
>> Same thing with a faith walk. You can
-
have one of these working and it's
-
great, but if you don't get both of them
-
working, the door is not going to swing
-
right. And with the walk of faith, the
-
life of faith, this is what we need to
-
have working on a regular basis in our
-
lives. It's not just that we believe God
-
when things go wrong. It's when we're
-
believing God and saying, we got our
-
believing and our saying going on a
-
regular basis.
-
We're believing what God says. Uh, in
-
fact, let's just take a look at that for
-
a few minutes. Believe in God. You know,
-
just people think, well, that's just,
-
oh, I've tried to believe God. Things
-
just aren't working right. I've tried to
-
believe God, so and so tried to believe
-
God. I can think of a couple cases where
-
folks said to me, well, I know so and
-
so, they believe God. It didn't work.
-
Well, it just doesn't work that way. It
-
isn't you believe God and God didn't
-
come through.
-
>> E, if it's just not coming through, then
-
we somehow didn't make connection
-
somewhere. But when he says in here, it
-
works by believing in the heart, same
-
with the mouth, believing. Believing
-
believing. Now, now I don't know about
-
you, I spent a lot of time getting to
-
where I I tried to believe. I flipped
-
every lever, flipped every switch, I did
-
everything. I prayed, believed, I
-
declared, I said, I did everything. I
-
couldn't get my believing working.
-
Finally, somebody had mercy on me and
-
showed me Romans 10:17. So then, faith
-
cometh by hearing and hearing by the
-
word of God. Well, somebody showed that
-
to me and I thought,"Well, that made
-
that real simple." So, I quit begging,
-
pleading, crying, balling, squalling,
-
tried. I quit all that. And I just went
-
over and got into my Bible. And I got
-
more faith working in me in about 15
-
minutes than I'd had in about 15 months.
-
Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the
-
word of God. It's the only way to get it
-
working in there. Faith cometh by
-
hearing. Hearing by the word of God. So,
-
that's the the believing. That's the
-
beginning point of it all. It comes by
-
hearing. There's no shortcut to that.
-
Well, I'm going to pray and uh I've had
-
people I've been in services over the
-
years teaching on faith on how it comes.
-
Faith comes one way. It doesn't come by
-
begging. It doesn't come by pleading.
-
Comes one way. And you can always count
-
on somebody coming up afterwards and
-
say, "Would you pray for me?" Well, why?
-
What do you need? Would you pray that
-
I'd have faith?
-
Well, there's a lot of things I want to
-
pray, and that wasn't one of them. But
-
anyway, anyway,
-
um to to swing back around here,
-
what we've got is is um
-
decide which direction to go here. Yeah,
-
faith come it it only comes one way. It
-
comes by hearing. It only comes by
-
hearing. And whatever it is, whatever we
-
hear, whatever we hear, that's what we
-
have faith for. Like I said, I was
-
having trouble with my needs getting
-
met, my bills getting paid. I did
-
everything I knew to do. I wasn't making
-
any progress with that. I started
-
hearing the word on the subject of
-
Philippians 4:19, "My God shall supply
-
all your need according to his riches
-
and glory by Christ Jesus." I started
-
working on that and all of a sudden it
-
got on the inside of me.
-
>> Well, that was working real good until I
-
got down the road about six months and
-
got hit with a some kind of a a physical
-
a cold, something like that. And uh now
-
I wasn't getting any I wasn't making any
-
progress at all. And I said, 'Lord, I
-
don't get this. I know my faith works.
-
I've watched you work things. I've
-
watched you meet my needs. I've watched
-
you pay my bills. I've watched you work
-
things in the real estate I was in at
-
the time. I've watched you bring uh
-
sales in. I've watched you do all that.
-
Now I get over into healing and it's not
-
working at all. You know, I know I know
-
I can believe God for you to meet my
-
needs and it'll come in. I can believe I
-
can believe you to me heal my body and I
-
can either get a result from you and
-
it'll take a you know two weeks or I can
-
just let it go and it'll go away in 14
-
days by itself.
-
And I said, "Lord, this is not working.
-
Why is this not working? Why does it
-
work? Why does it work to get my needs
-
met and my bills paid, but why is it not
-
working to get my body healed?" And the
-
Holy Ghost just quickened on the inside
-
of me. How did you get to where you
-
could believe me to get your needs met?
-
Well, I I fed on your word. He said,
-
'What have you done about healing?
-
Nothing.
-
Why don't you do with healing like you
-
did with prosperity and blessing and see
-
what happens there? I said, 'Well, dear
-
Lord, I never thought about that. That's
-
a great idea. So, I went in, got into my
-
Bible, began feeding on the word of God
-
on I I got Christ the Healer by FF
-
Bosworth. Everybody ought to have one of
-
those in your iPad, your phone, your
-
carry one with you. I've got one sitting
-
on my desk. I got a couple in my my uh
-
uh bookshelves behind me. I've worn more
-
copies of that out because once I found
-
out if you get that working on the
-
inside of you, it's going to work.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> And I got that working on the inside of
-
me. And all of a sudden, it got as easy
-
to get healed as it did to get blessed.
-
>> It got as heal as easy to get healed as
-
as it was to get my needs met and my
-
bills paid. But I had to do something
-
about that. I had to get back in there
-
and my God supplies all my need
-
according to his riches and glory by
-
Christ Jesus. But that didn't work for
-
me until I got that part settled about
-
hearing. Faith cometh by hearing and
-
hearing by the word of God. Got that
-
working on the inside of me.
-
>> Okay. And so the the the foundation of
-
the whole thing is believing in the
-
heart, saying with the mouth. But but
-
then I want the part I want to get to
-
here is um Smith Wigglesworth made the
-
statement. He said, "You got to saith
-
it.
-
And uh I I think going back through
-
there, that's probably where we've made
-
the most mistake. Look back over again.
-
And we we turned there earlier, but Mark
Mark 11 chapter mention
-
chapter 11. Mark chapter 11.
Mark 11 chapter mention
-
Let me back up a step here. Faith comes
-
by hearing, but it's still a decision.
-
>> It's still a decision. You can hear it
-
and hear it and hear it and hear it and
-
hear it and until you decide that's the
-
truth, it's not going to do an awful lot
-
of good for you. You go back through the
-
27th chapter of the book of Acts, uh the
-
Apostle Paul, he'd made a appeal to go
-
to Caesar. could have gotten turned
-
loose, but he knew he had to be he had
-
to stand before kings, uh, Jews,
-
Gentiles, and kings. He knew he had to
-
stand before kings. And so he appealed
-
to Caesar. So they put him on a boat.
-
And he said, remember there he said 27th
-
chapter of the book of Acts, he said,
-
"Now sers, I perceive this voyage to be
-
with much uh much hurt and danger."
-
Well, that's not the trip you want to
-
take. He said, "I I perceive this this
-
voyage to be with much hurt and danger."
-
But, you know, the the captain of the
-
ship just figured he just didn't want to
-
go on for the boat ride. And so, they
-
headed out there and of course they they
-
got out there and they got out they got
-
into a storm. And uh just because you're
-
in the with the will of God doesn't mean
-
you're not going to run into some
-
storms.
-
>> I'll say that again. Just because you're
-
in the will of God doesn't mean you're
-
not going to run into some storms.
-
Things come along. And so, he u
-
got in the middle of this storm and uh
-
they were in that for two weeks. Do you
-
know that's a long storm?
-
>> We've been in storms on lakes that
-
lasted for two hours.
-
Brother Larry,
-
Larry and Angela, we were we were in a
-
boat ride on Lake Euphala
-
>> and there's something, man, there was a
-
there was a there was a wall cloud
-
coming our way. So, we rebuked it and it
-
went the other way for a few minutes,
-
then turned around, came back at us, and
-
we were going fast, but it was going
-
faster. And we took a boat ride. And I
-
won't even go into any detail on that,
-
but uh anyway uh we live to tell. But uh
-
you know, he just run into things like
-
he just run into stuff like that. Well,
-
Paul had done that. He knew he's he'd
-
appealed to Caesar. He knew it was
-
right. He knew you go back in the
-
scriptures and you see that Paul knew
-
the Holy Ghost had told him, you know,
-
he he's going to have to stand before
-
Caesar. That's part of his calling is to
-
stand before Jews, Gentiles, and kings.
-
And he hadn't been before the kings
-
before. So, he's got this call in his
-
life. He's on his way there to go appeal
-
to Caesar. He's on his way to go into to
-
uh the nation to to stand before the
-
king. This is all set. He's in this and
-
they get in this this uh storm. And
-
while they're in the storm, uh it gets
-
worse and worse and worse. Before long,
-
they're throwing all the they're
-
throwing all the food overboard. And
-
then they're throwing all the tackle
-
overboard. And next thing's going to be
-
throwing all the prisoners overboard.
-
And that's okay until Paul realizes he's
-
one of the prisoners. And so everybody's
-
concerned about this. The storm's not
-
getting any better. I don't know about
-
you, if you've ever been in a storm on
-
the water, it's not a lot of fun. And
-
you think about doing that for a couple
-
weeks and he's been he's been out there
-
like that. Food's gone, people are gone,
-
everything's gone. And uh if you notice,
-
um it says 27th chapter, the Apostle
-
Paul stood up there and he said, "Sers,
-
don't you just love it when there's a
-
there's one of those guys that shows up
-
and says, "I told you so."
-
He said, "Sir, you should have listened
-
to me."
-
>> Don't you just love being the one that
-
can do that? You should have listened to
-
me.
-
>> And he says, "But but he said, I just
-
want you to know everything's going to
-
be okay for an angel of God
-
uh whom I serve stood by me this night
-
and said there uh that the everything
-
will be okay. Nobody will be harmed. The
-
boat will go down, but we're all going
-
to be saved. Everybody's going to be
-
safe." He said, "Wherefore, sir, be of
-
good cheer. For I believe God, for I
-
believe God that it shall be even as as
-
it was told me. They're in the boat. The
-
boat's going to sink. They've thrown
-
everything overboard. They're going to
-
throw the prisoners overboard. This
-
thing is not a good deal. And this guy
-
stands out here and he said, "Just want
-
you to know I believe God."
-
Believe in God. It's it's it's in the
-
middle. It's it's believe in God when
-
you don't have anything other to stand
-
on other than your faith in God's word.
-
>> That's just it. So, so he um he said,
-
"So, so he said, uh, be of good cheer."
-
Always a good cheer guy there. Be of
-
good cheer for I believe God. I believe
-
for why? Because I believe God. He'd
-
made a choice. He'd heard it. An angel
-
came and appeared to him that night. He
-
could have said, "I don't believe a word
-
of that, man. This thing's going under."
-
But he said, "Wherefore, sir, be of good
-
cheer, for I believe God that it shall
-
be, even as it was told me." And so, he
-
he got his faith locked on that. The
-
ship didn't go under, but they all were
-
they swam to shore, got onto shore, got
-
the the uh uh the head tri of the tribe
-
there, got him healed, and one
-
translation said they got everybody on
-
the island healed.
-
>> So, in the middle of all that, he ended
-
up with a healing revival. So, it's a
-
good thing. But now, now you uh you look
-
back there and so we got the same thing.
-
Faith comes by hearing, but it's still
-
going to be a decision of what what am I
-
going to believe? What am I going to
-
believe? Like I said, when I was trying
-
to figure out what to do with my life
-
and trying to figure out what to do
-
about my finances, I didn't have any
-
money. I wasn't uh things in the real
-
estate weren't selling and all that. But
-
when I got hold of Philippians 4:19, "My
-
God shall supply all your need according
-
to his riches and glory by Christ
-
Jesus." When I got hold of that, it took
-
me about two weeks for that to settle on
-
the inside. But when it did, all of a
-
sudden, everything just changed. I made
-
a decision to believe it.
-
>> But see, that's just the way it works.
-
It's like, well, I I I know the Bible
-
said, you know, that uh by whose stripes
-
I was healed, but I know I still got
-
pain. Well, it doesn't matter what you
-
got. It's what do you believe?
-
>> Okay. Well, I know my God supplies all
-
my need, but I haven't seen any money to
-
pay the bills. Well, it's not what it
-
looks like. It's what have you decided
-
to believe? Everything starts out with
-
what have we decided to believe. It's
-
believing and saying. Believing and
-
saying. Now, back in over here, we'll
-
just swing back around and Mark 11:23.
-
Jesus said, he said, "Have the faith of
-
God." They had God kind of faith. For
-
verily I say unto you that whosoever
-
shall say, whosoever shall say,
-
whosoever shall say, this works for
-
anybody.
-
>> The same whosoever for salvation will
-
work for anything else. Whosoever shall
-
say. He's going to tell us how the life
-
of faith works. All right? Whosoever
-
shall say unto this mountain, Be thou
-
removed, and be thou cast into the sea,
-
and shall not doubt in his heart, but
-
shall believe those things which he
-
saith shall come to pass, he shall have,
-
he shall have whatsoever he saith. If
-
there is a Achilles heel in our faith
-
walk, if there's something that's not
-
working right, if we can look at Markap
-
11 23, it doesn't get any clearer than
-
that. Jesus said it, it's written in
-
red. If you have a red letter edition,
-
Jesus made the statement here. He said,
-
"Whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
-
be thou removed, and be thou cast into
-
the sea, shall not doubt in his heart,
-
but shall believe those things which he
-
saith shall come to pass, he shall have
-
whatsoever he saith." And I I heard
-
actually, Brother Hagen said, a lot of
-
years ago, he said, you know,
-
he said, I saw it reading that one day.
-
He said, "I saw in there that when God
-
gives us this word," when Jesus was
-
teaching this, he talked about believing
-
one time, and he talked about saying
-
three times.
-
>> "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
-
be thou removed, and be thou cast into
-
the sea, and shall not doubt in his
-
heart, but shall believe shall believe
-
those things which he saith shall come
-
to pass." He didn't say, "You'll have
-
what you believe." Well, I know believe
-
in God. Well, that's fine, but what he
-
been saying? I know. I was believing
-
God. Go. Well, fine, but what have you
-
been saying?
-
>> Our words either make us or break us.
-
>> You know, I've talked about that before.
-
There was a a fellow I knew, didn't know
-
him well, but he actually was right here
-
in Tulsa, worked in a ministry. He was
-
39 years old and uh got real sick. Got
-
real sick. Word got out. He And
-
everybody went to pray for him.
-
Everybody. Everybody. And their twin
-
brother. I mean, everybody went to pray
-
for this guy. And uh I didn't get asked
-
to go, which was fine, but a lot of
-
people did go to pray for him. And he
-
kept getting worse and worse and worse
-
and worse and worse and and um finally
-
went in he he basically was unconscious.
-
Went into a coma and nobody could get
-
this guy healed. He he'd worked in
-
around the ministry. He worked around
-
the world. He'd been around the word of
-
faith. He'd been around divine healing.
-
He'd seen people getting healed. He'd wa
-
he'd watched people get healed in their
-
bodies. He he'd he'd seen people believe
-
God. He'd done everything right, but
-
when it got to where he needed healing
-
in his body, it's not working. Everybody
-
prayed for him. Well, before long, he's
-
comeomaosse. Now, you can't even help
-
the guy because you can't talk to him.
-
You can't can't can't get something
-
corrected if you knew what to correct.
-
And, you know, of course, everybody's
-
praying and every people fasting,
-
praying, people are doing prayer vigils,
-
people doing everything. And uh finally
-
got word that he he'd gone on. He just
-
checked out and went to heaven. 39 years
-
old, went to heaven. Wife, family,
-
checked out, went to heaven. And of
-
course, then every that just bothers
-
everybody. You know, I don't know about
-
you, that, you know, does it bother you
-
when somebody you're doing all you know
-
to do to get somebody well and you just
-
can't seem to get them well. It bothers
-
you, you know. Could I have done more?
-
Well, you couldn't do more than what
-
Jesus did, you know, but could I have
-
done more? Well, I don't know what more
-
I could have done. Everybody's trying to
-
figure out what could what could we have
-
done more? What what is it? Well, you
-
know, is there not a cause? For this
-
cause, many are weak and sickly among
-
you and many sleep. Sometimes there's
-
something in there. And if we if
-
Deuteronomy 29:29 says, um,
-
uh, the secret thing belongs to the
-
Lord.
-
>> And that which is revealed belongs to us
-
to our to our children forever.
-
Sometimes it's just none of our
-
business. I've had God deal with me, not
-
a lot of times, but I've had God deal
-
with me when I'm praying for a situation
-
for somebody that needs a miracle or
-
whatever. And I've had the Holy Ghost
-
basically, you know, he he's kind, you
-
understand? But I've I've had the spirit
-
of God say, "Leave it alone. It's none
-
of your business."
-
>> That's right.
-
>> I've had him say, "Leave it alone. Leave
-
it alone. There's nothing you can do
-
about it." I go, "Well, I could say,
-
"Well, Lord, what Well, how come you're
-
not going to answer me? He's already
-
given me my answer. Leave it alone.
-
I can swing back around every angle I
-
can think of. I'm not going to make any
-
progress because I just don't know. I
-
can think of two, three cases right now
-
where God just dealt with me. Said just
-
don't go there. Just don't go there.
-
It's not It's between them and me, not
-
between you and me. Just leave it alone.
-
Well, doesn't it help to to pray for
-
people? Of course it helps to pray for
-
people unless the Holy Ghost tells you
-
don't bother with it because you're not
-
going to make any progress. Well, why
-
wouldn't you make progress? Well, I
-
don't know. secret thing belongs to the
-
Lord. Sometimes sometimes you can't make
-
any progress and sometimes it's none of
-
your business why you can't make any
-
progress.
-
>> I don't I'm not even going to ask for a
-
show of hands. But how many of us have
-
been in those places and go I just could
-
I just couldn't get anywhere. So anyway,
-
here's this case. I can think of
-
actually three of those right now where
-
you just couldn't make any progress on
-
it. Couldn't get anywhere with that. Now
-
the thing is it doesn't change the will
-
of God. I'm taking a little side trip.
-
Well, we'll finish with this and pick up
-
on another place later on. Sometimes,
-
you know, it doesn't change the will of
-
God. Well, maybe God doesn't want to
-
heal him. Well, if God didn't want to
-
heal him, he shouldn't have done it.
-
>> Bible said, "By whose stripes you were
-
healed, not can be, should be, would be,
-
might be. By whose stripes you were, if
-
he were, then God didn't change his
-
mind."
-
>> Okay, that was pretty easy one. Well,
-
but why did it not work? I don't know.
-
Well, why doesn't he tell you? Because
-
it's none your business. No, he didn't
-
quite put it that way, but it was about
-
the same. And it's like, um,
-
couldn't figure out what that was. Um,
-
had that happen. And and I just left it
-
alone because I didn't know him that
-
well. But, you know, found out later on
-
that he um he his actually at the
-
memorial service, his brother showed up
-
there and was talking to the, you know,
-
the minister that was officiating said,
-
you know, it was the strangest thing.
-
Said, when we were kids, we were out on
-
a farm. when we were kids said we'd just
-
be horsing around out there be we'd be
-
out you know in the barn and you know
-
working and bailing hay and do all this
-
stuff and said you know my brother was
-
just he's a few years older said you
-
know all of a sudden see it's our words
-
it's our words faith operates by
-
believing and saying and if we don't get
-
our saying right then the believing can
-
get kind of stumped
-
>> he said you know we'd be kind of horsing
-
around he said you know my brother he
-
said every now and then he'd stop get
-
real serious and he he said you know
-
I'll never live to be 40 and he said
-
laugh, say, "Oh, you know you will." And
-
he said, "But you know, over the years,
-
he'd do every now and then he'd say, you
-
know, I'll never live to be I'll never
-
live to be 40. I'll never live to be
-
40." He said, 39 years old, he said, got
-
sick and we could not get him out of
-
that. Well, it wasn't if we couldn't get
-
him out of that. He's going to have to
-
get him out of that.
-
>> He's going to have to get himself out of
-
that. And if he's gone into a comeal
-
state and you can't talk to him about,
-
doc, you got to get yourself out of
-
this. You got to you got to get your
-
word straightened out while you're still
-
alive and and can do something. Maybe
-
you can get some things changed in
-
there.
-
>> I know another uh minister same thing,
-
you know, got um healthy, great
-
ministry, God doing amazing things in
-
his ministry. He had really surged in
-
the last year or two before this
-
happened. All of a sudden, he's he's not
-
doing good. All of a sudden, he's not
-
doing good at all. And u they put him
-
into the hospital and the doctor said,
-
"We don't know what's wrong. something's
-
wrong, but we can't figure out what it
-
is. They never did figure out what it
-
was. But he was in misery. He was
-
horrible shape. I mean, just in a lot of
-
discomfort, a lot of pain. And uh so we
-
just couldn't we just couldn't make any
-
progress. And I've I'd saw people, you
-
know, ministers that go pray for him,
-
lay hands on him, pray for him. And he'd
-
start getting better. He'd get a little
-
bit better, a little bit better, a
-
little bit better, and all of a sudden,
-
like just like that, he'd just switch
-
back around. And he kept getting worse
-
and worse and worse and worse. and and
-
uh uh I was out actually was with one of
-
his uh children. Uh went to the house to
-
pick him up and I went to get him and
-
and uh got a phone call said he's just
-
crossed over. He's he's gone. Said,
-
"Well, he can't go. He can't go. We we
-
had this all figured out. We made a deal
-
with God by Jesus stripes. He was
-
healed. That's already done, bought,
-
purchased, paid for. He can't go. He's
-
got to come back. We're going to go
-
raise him from the dead." No, he's not
-
going to. Okay. He was uh he was 51
-
years old and you very seldom see
-
somebody raised up, you know, past
-
pretty much teenage years, something
-
like that. Just don't see that very
-
often. And so anyway, you know, went to
-
the hospital and the whole bit. And and
-
I told God, I said, God, you know, I
-
said, "You and I know we've got a
-
agreement going here." I said, 'If you
-
don't tell me something, I'm not going
-
to ding-dong you and I'm not going to
-
bother you and I'm not just going to
-
stay on your case and I'm not going to
-
say I'll remind you all through eternity
-
that you I'm not going to do any of
-
that, you know, unless I get a uncction
-
to and I sure don't have an uncction. I
-
just couldn't make any I couldn't make
-
any progress. Could and I said, Lord, I
-
don't understand why we couldn't get
-
this man healed. Wonderful man, great
-
ministry, touching lives and all that.
-
Why couldn't we get him healed? Why why
-
could we not? And I tried to go there
-
and all a sudden I thought, "No, leave
-
it alone. Just leave it alone." I said,
-
"Well, okay. I'll just leave it alone."
-
Well, number of months later,
-
we were at a meeting at a church and his
-
wife was there and they were in kind of
-
a fellowship hall area in the church and
-
she was talking to a group of ladies.
-
And if you get a ladies talking around a
-
group of ladies, you're going to get
-
some information.
-
>> And I'm going to leave it alone at that.
-
But anyway,
-
I didn't want to I I didn't want to ease
-
drop, but I wanted to ease drop.
-
>> So, it was a fellowship thing. So, I got
-
a big plate of food and I thought
-
that'll last me a while. So, I I went
-
over there and I kind of elbowed back to
-
this group of ladies because I thought
-
they were just they were just a talking.
-
Yeah. And uh all of a sudden, I heard
-
this this minister's wife. She said, you
-
know, was the most amazing thing? She
-
said, you know, she said, when we were
-
engaged to be uh married, she said, we
-
we were coming right up on time to get
-
married. And she said, and in my my
-
husband to be said, are you sure you
-
want to marry me? She said, well, uh
-
yeah, you know, the wedding's coming up
-
in what, a week or two, something like
-
that. You sure you sure you want to
-
marry me? And she said, well, of course
-
I do. We got the wedding all planned,
-
everything. Of course, of course I want
-
to marry you. She said, why would you
-
say a thing like that? He said, "Because
-
no man in my family has ever lived past
-
the age of 50, and I probably won't
-
either." At 51, he went home to heaven.
-
Okay.
-
Now, somebody goes, "Well, did you
-
really think that had something to do
-
with it?" Uh, yeah.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> I think it had a lot to do with it. I
-
don't know. Never had a chance to talk
-
with him. Wasn't my place. Okay. And but
-
nobody knew that. Nobody knew why this
-
wasn't working. You know, I can think of
-
an a number of case. I know I know one
-
fell, man. and we went in to pray with
-
him and uh I didn't know him. The pastor
-
said, you know, he's in my church. We
-
were doing a meeting there. He said,
-
"Would you come in and pray for a guy in
-
my church? He he's real sick and he
-
needs a miracle." I said, "Well, yeah,
-
if you want us to, we will." Went in and
-
and this guy, man, this guy, he started
-
preaching to me. I won't die, but I'll
-
live and declare the works of the Lord
-
by Jesus. He just he quoted more
-
scriptures than most anybody else I'd
-
ever heard. I looked at the pastor said,
-
"Well, he's going to be just fine. I
-
mean, I've heard him talk."
-
Got outside the door of the hospital.
-
The Holy Ghost said he'll be gone in a
-
week. I said, 'N no, Lord, I heard him.
-
I heard him. He said, 'Well, yeah, he's
-
he's saying it, but he doesn't believe
-
it.
-
>> See, it's not just because you say it,
-
it's what you say and believe. It's what
-
you believe and say.
-
>> You, you know, you can do all the saying
-
you want, but remember there 2
-
Corinthians chapter 4:13, he says, "We
-
having the same spirit of faith." We
-
having the same spirit of faith. Got the
-
same spirit. It it's it's not a
-
different spirit other than the Holy
-
Spirit, but it's an attitude.
-
>> It's an we having the same. You get
-
around folks and they get an attitude of
-
faith about them
-
>> or they get an attitude of unbelief
-
about them and you know you you you
-
can't one's great, the other you can't
-
fix. But anyway, you know, it's just it
-
was just man we, you know, uh got
-
outside. I I said, Lord, what was that
-
all about? Said he'll be he'll be gone
-
in a week. I said, well, Lord, uh but he
-
said he and I quoted everything the guy
-
said to me. He said, 'Yeah, that's what
-
he's saying, but that's not what he's
-
believing. He's tired. He's tired of
-
fighting and he can't say what he really
-
believes because his family will get
-
aggravated at him. He's going on home
-
because that's what it's not what his
-
family wants, but it's what he wants.
-
>> Well, I got word later on in a week's
-
time he'd gone on home. See, sometimes
-
things like this happen, but it all if
-
you if you track it, it's usually going
-
to come back to believing and or saying,
-
but usually more saying than believing.
-
Because if you get folks to say the
-
right thing long enough, it'll register
-
on their spirits. It'll get on the
-
inside. And if you get it inside and get
-
it out here with the heart, man believes
-
under righteousness with the mouth
-
confessions made to salvation. If we get
-
hold of it on the inside, it'll become
-
real. If we get it in the mouth, it'll
-
become a manifestation.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Amen. But it all comes back to the law.
-
Not just faith is a law. It's called the
-
law of faith. But it's not just the law
-
of faith. It's the life of faith.
-
>> Yeah.
-
>> If we get to where we get that working
-
on a regular basis where we don't have
-
to run up against a stump somewhere and
-
go, "Oh, God, I got I got to come up
-
with something real quick. I ought to
-
have my something working all the time.
-
>> I shouldn't have to run and open the
-
drawer and pull out my answer and say,
-
"God, I got to get this working real
-
quickly. What I need to do is I need to
-
be get this work." And again, we're all
-
growing in this. Nobody's got all the
-
answers, okay? But I've watched people
-
in year I've watched them for almost 50
-
years now. I've seen people
-
get great results and I people I've seen
-
folks make great mistakes and I've just,
-
you know, I wanted I want to learn. I
-
want to stand back and learn. Not just
-
so I know what's going, you know,
-
because I told God a long time ago, if
-
you can show me what happened somewhere,
-
I don't care if it's any my business or
-
not, but if it's something I can use
-
later on to help somebody, I want to
-
know it. If I if I can use that to pass
-
on and help somebody to stay longer. And
-
so as a result of that, there's some
-
things that God's been able to
-
show me along the way where some folks
-
you just if you could just if you could
-
just keep them alive and conscious
-
enough to get them talking right
-
>> and it makes a world of difference.
-
Well, you know, why don't we just start
-
out ahead of time instead of saying I'm
-
having a issue with finances or an issue
-
with f uh healing or an issue with
-
symptoms or what? Why don't we just get
-
instead of just a an event of faith, why
-
don't we get the life of faith going?
-
>> Why don't we get it going like that? Why
-
don't we just keep talking the talk
-
before we need it to be really working?
-
Why don't we keep it Why don't we keep
-
it working before we need it to work?
-
>> Well, I'm doing real good right now.
-
Well, you know, why not just keep it
-
that way? Why not do all I know to keep
-
it going the way I should? It's Well,
-
you know, God will take care of me.
-
Well, that's a great idea, but that's
-
not what he said,
-
is it? Well, God will take Yeah, he said
-
he'd take care of you, but he he takes
-
care of you by you talking the talk,
-
walking the walk by you believing and
-
saying, believing in the heart, saying
-
with the mouth. And so, if we'll just
-
start out with this and just say, I plan
-
to make a difference. He said with long
-
life he'd satisfy me and show me his
-
salvation. I'm going to boldly declare
-
that with long life he'll satisfy me and
-
show me his salvation. The end of the
-
91st Psalm. I'm going to keep saying I
-
won't die but I'll live and declare the
-
works of the Lord. If I can keep saying
-
what I Well, what if what if I'm not
-
really believing it? You know, if you
-
get talking long enough, you'll get to
-
where you believe it.
-
>> Yes, you will.
-
>> If you talk the talk, you'll walk the
-
walk.
-
>> If you get it working If you get it
-
working in your heart, you can get it go
-
working out your mouth. It'll get
-
working out here.
-
>> But it all starts, it starts with the
-
inside. Okay? I believe. Isn't that what
-
he said?
-
>> According according as it is written. I
-
believed and therefore have I
-
>> spoken.
-
I believe, therefore, I'm speaking
-
because I'm not speaking just to try to
-
get to I believe it. I'm speaking
-
because I believe it. I believe,
-
therefore, have I spoken. We also
-
believe and therefore speak. If I can
-
just get it working that way. If I can
-
get my believing hooked up right and get
-
my mouth connected with my heart, put
-
the two together, then it will work in
-
my life. Are there other things? Sure,
-
there are other things. You know,
-
there's there's uh well, no use getting
-
into that tonight. There are other
-
things that can make a difference, but
-
why not why not go with what we know is
-
right,
-
>> the life of faith.
-
>> Without faith, it's impossible to please
-
him. For he that cometh unto God must
-
believe he is, and he's rewarded them
-
diligently speak. And I will say this,
-
you know, if if somebody's gone on home,
-
don't beat yourself up over that.
-
>> You don't know. If God doesn't tell you,
-
you don't know. And sometimes God won't
-
tell cuz it's not going to, you know,
-
sometimes you're not going to know till
-
you get to the other side. When you get
-
to the other side, you're not going to
-
care anyway.
-
>> I know cases, some folks, and I've
-
thought, "Dear Lord, I don't know why
-
they left. I don't know why they went
-
over. I don't know." And you know, and
-
it's like, "Well, you'll know when you
-
get to the other side." Then you think,
-
well, I'm going to get to the other
-
side. I'm not going to care because I'll
-
be there with them. And so, a lot of
-
times we we beat ourselves up trying to
-
think, could I have done more? Well, if
-
you could have done more, you would have
-
done more.
-
>> Sometimes we put all the pressure on us,
-
and the pressure is not on us, it's on
-
the word. And sometimes if folks didn't
-
make a contact there, there wasn't a
-
whole lot we can get done. And I got to
-
get stopped. Let's stand to our feet.
-
>> Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank
-
you so much. I thank you so much, dear
-
Father. Oh, Lord, there's so much in
-
this. There's so much there's so much
-
there's so much in the in the church
-
world if we just if we can just step on
-
over and get this working on the inside
-
of us. I thank you for it. Nobody's
-
nobody's reached perfection except
-
Jesus. And he's up there the father's
-
right hand praying for the rest of us.
-
But father, if there are things we can
-
learn to help not only ourselves but
-
help others, then our heart cries, Lord,
-
teach us. Teach us to follow. Teach us
-
to flow. Teach us the things that we
-
ought to know. Lord, there's places we
-
should go in you. Pl things we should
-
do, things we should see. There are
-
things that we ought to be able to be.
-
And so, we trust you to give us
-
utterance and give us direction and
-
teach us things that'll make us a
-
blessing to others. Thank you, Father.
-
There's a move coming to the church
-
world. There is a move of the spirit of
-
God. There's an outpouring of the glory.
-
There's an outpouring of the what we'd
-
call a revival world global, worldwide.
-
a great move, an outpouring of divine
-
healing.
-
And we all get to be in it. We all get
-
to be not just getting it, but passing
-
it on. So I pray over this house,
-
Father, make make every one of us a
-
blessing. Teach us what we need to
-
follow. Teach us what we need to be able
-
to flow. Lord, there's a cry in our
-
heart. Say, Lord, there's so much more I
-
need to know. So we thank you for it in
-
Jesus name, Father. Hallelujah.
