Romans the 8th chapter and we we'll read

the 14th verse. Um, you know, this began

to stir me a few weeks ago. um as as

what I believe is probably right now one

of the most important uh truths for us

to to get an understanding of in the in

the kingdom of God in our in our walk

with God where Paul writes here writing

to the Romans

and he says in Romans chapter 8 verse14

Romans 8 · chapter mention

uh this whole chapter is great uh we

we'll another Sunday we'll we'll get

into more of this because this whole

chapter um defines and explains uh

redemption to us. And that's what our

life's all about. You and I are in the

kingdom of thank God for redemption.

It's all we have been redeemed. We have

been redeemed. You know, I'll I'll I'll

back up since I'm already off track. Um,

you know, I remember some of you, some

of you, I will say, are probably

um far enough along to remember uh the

day when they had SNH green stamps.

>> Did anybody remember SNH Green?

>> Ah, thank you. I feel a lot better now.

>> You know, I remember SNH Green Stamps.

You know, grew up in Michigan. It's

fairly, you know, small city, large

town, whatever. And you know, of course,

wherever you went, you get, you know, if

you went to the Clark gas station, you

get you get green stamps. If you went to

the IG grocery store, you get green st

every no matter where you went, they'd

give you all whatever you bought, and

then they'd put rolls of green stamps in

there. And uh it took me a little while

to figure out what those were. I was

just a kid. I was very young, of course.

And um

so we get these green stamps and um and

they just pile them up. You you'd end up

with grocery bags full of these. And uh

my mom finally said, "If you want to

lick all those things and put them in

books, you can have them." I thought,

"Well, there got to be something in that

magazine I want." So I got the SNH Green

Stamp magazine and I and started licking

it. For those of you that are

unenlightened, you'd take these green

stamps and you'd get a book and and some

were big ones and some were small ones.

But you'd get these books filled up with

these green lick those Oh. Oh, those

things were terrible. And you just lick

those things till you got these books

full of green stamps. And then you get a

you get a book done and then you start

another one and then you start another

until you get bags a bag of um green

stamp books. Okay. And then you get a

magazine that was kind of like a Sears

magazine or something like that. But the

magazine had all these pages of things

that you could get with these green

stamps. Okay. And so um my mom said if

you want if you want to lick all those

stamps you can have whatever you want

out of the green stamp. I said you got a

deal. So, I started Oh, it took days on

that. And uh and I went in and I thought

now, you know, there was I wanted

something in there. And I looked in

there and u I wanted to start going out

camping and you could get a really nice

sleeping bag in there. And I thought,

"Oh man, if I just get enough green

stamp books, I can have a sleeping bag.

That'd be great." And so I started

working on all that, you know, and I

what I came to the conclusion is you

could go to a store and buy a sleeping

bag. You could go somewhere and spend

cash, but if you wanted if you wanted it

out of the green stamp store, you had to

have green stamps.

>> They had It was called a Anybody

remember what the Green Stamp store was

called?

>> It was a redemption center. If the

church just could have gotten a hold of

that, you know, 50 years ago, it was

called a redemption center because there

was a lot of things in there. They had

really some really good stuff. It's big

place. You could go in there and there

were a lot of things you could get out

of the redemption center. But you could

you couldn't take cash in there. You

couldn't take gold. You couldn't take

silver. You couldn't take dollars. The

only way you could buy anything out of

the redemption center was to take green

stamps. That was you had to redeem.

There was something you wanted out of

there, but you had to pay the correct

price or you couldn't get that and take

it home.

>> And so I finally got enough books in

there. I got a ride in there. I was I

don't know how old, junior high maybe.

But I got to go in there, got a ride in,

took in all the books, had enough, and I

I got myself a brand new sleeping bag,

wore that thing else that used it for

years. But, you know, then you come to

the body of Christ, and because of

Adam's fall, we we lost what we had with

God, okay? We lost our place with him.

We lost our position with him. We lost

our sunship with him. Adam was called

the son of God. the end of the third

chapter of the book of Luke, he was

called the son of God. And that was the

last one you see called the son of God

until we see in John 3:16, for God so

John 3:16

loved the world, he gave his only

begotten son. So we went 4,000 years

where God did not have a son. Okay? And

what happened was he didn't have a son

because somebody's going to have to go

in and pay the price because without the

shedding of blood, there is no remission

of sins. somebody's going to be able to

redeem humanity, but it's going to take

sinless, spotless blood to be able to

redeem mankind. And so, we look back in

there and that price hadn't been paid.

You know, you could have Solomon with

all his wisdom and all of his money and

you could have all King David with all

the gold and silver, but nobody could go

in and redeem mankind. Nobody had the

price to pay until Jesus came and with

one one time took his own precious

blood, entered once into the holy place,

having obtained eternal redemption for

us. We had to have sinless, spotless

blood to be able to pay the price for

not just one or two. He'd done it for

one, but he did it for all of humanity.

And so, uh, you know, so we go back

there and and like I said, with the

green stamps, you could get anything you

wanted, but you better have the right

price.

>> That's right. You better have the green

stamps to do that. And with the things

of God, Bible talks about how in Christ

all things are made available to us.

Jesus was heir of all things and God's

made him joint heir with us. He paid the

price. Everything God has he gave to

Jesus. And everything Jesus had, he gave

to the church, to the body of Christ,

including his name. All that was given

to us. But the only way you the only way

you don't get it, you can't get it by

being a nice person. You can't get it by

being a sinless a real holy life or

something. That's not going to do that.

You You're not going to get it by

confessing all the sins you've ever

committed. Ain't nobody going to

remember all those anyway.

Don't look at me that way. You don't

remember all the mistakes you made.

Nobody's going to remember all that. So,

there's only one thing that will get us

into the things of God in Christ, and

that's through his own precious blood.

So anyway, in talking about redemption

now, we notice that's just that's just

an extra part.

So we see in in humanity, we had the

system that would work that way. And I I

don't know, they changed their minds. I

guess they quit doing that. But God

never changed his mind because in Christ

was the only doorway into the things of

God. Couldn't get in any other way.

Couldn't pay the price. Couldn't be a

nice person. Couldn't be a good guy.

Well, I'm trying to good good friend of

mine. I was I was uh talking to him

after I got my life right with God. I

was I'm still sitting on the curb out in

front of the the grocery store, my

hometown, sitting with this friend of

mine. He's a little bit on the

inebriated side. Spent a lot of time

that way. And he said, um, you know, and

I was talking to him about being saved

and he said, "I'm doing all I know to do

to get right. I'm doing everything I

know to do to live right. I'm doing

everything I know to do." I said, "I

don't think that's going to help." I

didn't know much, but I knew that wasn't

going to get the job done. You can't

live right. You can't do enough right.

You can't do enough good deeds. And he

goes, "Yeah, but I'm still trying."

Well,

I talked to actually he and his wife,

oh, couple years ago, talked to him on

the phone. We we talk every year at

Christmas time. And uh I he he was out

doing some errands or something and his

wife was an old high school friend. And

I said, you know, how's so and so doing?

And said, "Well, he's doing really he's

doing a whole lot better." And I said,

you know, you know, and and his wife had

gotten saved. I remember when she did.

She prayed a prayer. I remember that.

And so I said, uh, how's how's he doing?

And she said, he's doing good. She said,

he knows who his savior is now. I said,

okay, that's all I need to know. We can

still talk every Christmas, but I'm

talking from a whole different angle

now.

>> But anyway, anyway, going back through

there, have you found Romans chapter uh

8 verse14 yet?

>> Okay. Now, we look in here and we see

that Paul writes this by the Holy Ghost.

And in this in this uh primarily this

eighth chapter, there's so much in here

about redemption.

And uh the more we see what I'm redeemed

from, what I'm redeemed to, what I'm

redeemed into, the more I know about

that, the more the more I get hold of

that, the more I can step over and walk

in that. Okay. Um, you know, the biggest

problem the church world has is not a

lack of faith, it's a lack of knowledge.

>> And once we gain knowledge, faith comes

in automatically. Faith just rides in

piggyback. So anyway, um, in going back

through there, Romans the 8th chapter,

I'm just going to jump over to this one

verse. We'll just talk about this a

little bit. We'll pick up another

Sunday. But in the 14th verse where Paul

writing in there, he says uh um uh for

uh for as many as are led by the spirit

of God, they are the sons of God. Well,

that that began to rise up in me and I

think it rose up a little um stronger uh

three or four weeks ago

uh on the basis of Pastor Janet and

myself. We had a trip booked uh

goodness, we had a trip booked however

many years it was, October 7th, just

before the uh before the uh uh Hamas

invaded um Israel. We had a trip booked

over. It was she and I were going to go

over meet Joe Morris. So, we were going

to take a trip over into uh uh

Jerusalem. And of course, the war broke

out. Airport got shut down. We had to

turn our tickets in and and so here we

are what, two years later, whatever it

is, we had to start all over again.

Well, we picked a time and of course we

picked another time when all of a sudden

they're ready to bomb something again.

It just seems like our life stays

interesting that way. But we uh

we got word we we've got of course the

KO that are over there. They got the

fire base over there in Jerusalem and we

stay in communication with them

regularly. And uh we got another friend

that's he's a he's a former IDF uh

soldier and got still got kids in the

IDF. So anyway, um God really began to

stir us on on the the subject of Israel.

Uh I thought for years I've said if you

don't know, ask Joe. It's just uh you

know, our call is our call is to the

nations, our call is to the church and

his call is to Israel. And all of a

sudden, God decided to change a few

things about that and really stirred us

about um what whatever it's supposed to

do to

really send us over the first time over

into Israel, over particularly into

Jerusalem. So, um but you know, next

thing you know, we're getting word from

some folks over there that, oh, by the

way, um somewhere our our trip's booked,

our tickets are bought, we're ready to

go, we're going to fly over there, and

so on. And they said the the only thing

is our tickets are booked, but the only

thing is um they're predicting the

powers that be are predicting anywhere

from the next 5 to 20 days something's

going to break out and there's going to

be something like what probably what you

and I would call a war. Well, you know

what you going to do now? Okay, go.

Well, it's just a war. Well, you know,

it's no big deal.

>> But, you know, but the bottom line is

then what do you do if there is a

potential war breaking out? you don't

want to get over there and have the

airport shut down. I don't want to go

live there for a month or two. That's

just not part of the deal. And I know my

wife doesn't want to. And so, um, we

communicated with some friends and some

cohorts over there, some people we know.

And they said, "There's something

there's something's going to break out

in the next. Best thing we know in the

next 5 to 20 days." Well, I think it

ended up being uh what is it a week

after we got back? Uh it was uh a week

after we got back was when of course the

the war broke out and it's it's still

going right now. But um you know anyway,

but the the bottom line is the most

important thing in times like this is to

be led by the Holy Ghost. What what is

the wisdom of God? What is God saying to

do? You know, is it is it vital? If it's

vital that we be there, then we need to

be there. If it's not vital that we be

there, then we need to find out if God's

telling us to go there. Okay? And and

we've been in different we've been to

situations before. We've we've been in

lots of many situations and in uh in

Europe when um uh airliners were being

um commandeered, people were being out

on the tarmac for weeks at a time stuck

in a plane.

[cough] Excuse me. So we we've life's

been interesting for the last years. But

um anyway anyway so so this really

stirred me that this is probably the

most right now and and you know okay I

I'm I'm not concerned about the news

like Smith Wigglesworth said you can

either read a newspaper and get

one-third truth or you can read the

Bible get all truth and that's kind of

where things are. So you know I'm I'm

not uh doing anything to kind of promote

any newspapers or news feeds or

anything. I'm just, you know, I'll I'll

watch now and then to kind of see what

they're saying, but that's pretty much

it. Um, you know, but but as you as you

notice, you look through that and see

what folks are saying. You know, they're

they're saying, "Oh, there's sleeper

cells. Oh, there's this and oh, there's

that. Oh, there's that." You know, I

mean, I don't mean this wrong. I really

don't care what there is.

>> What I care is what's the Holy Ghost

saying about what there is. What I'm

concerned about is that you and I are in

the right place at the right time doing

the right thing, getting the right

results. And with that being the right

thing, then I'm not really as concerned

about what some folks might think they

want to do. Some bad guys, bad actors

doing bad things, it'll not come near

our dwelling. That's right.

>> How do you know that? Because I've got

Romans chapter 8:14. For as many as are

>> led by the spirit of God, they are the

sons of God. I really believe in the

day, the hour, the time we're living in.

I really believe and you you can make

your own choice. That's fine. Okay, this

is this is not ultimate truth. This is

just my personal conviction on this. I

really believe where we are right now

that Romans chapter 8:14 is probably the

most uh important verse you and I can

get working in our lives in the body of

Christ is for as many as are led by the

spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

I think being led by the Holy Ghost,

being in the right place, right time,

doing the right thing, and therefore

getting the right results. I really

believe that's ultimately the most

important thing. Stuff may happen.

>> Okay. Are you saying it's not going to

happen? No. Are you saying it is going

to happen? No. What are you saying?

Actually, nothing. I'm just saying I

don't know what's coming. All I know is

whatever might, could, should, would,

won't come, whatever comes, you and I

are not going to be

>> 91st Psalm. Yes,

>> we we'll get into that one. We got we

got too many Sundays. Jesus better give

us a few more weeks. 91st Psalm. No evil

shall befall you. He that dwelleth in

the secret place

>> of the most high God. See, it's not what

I do where I go. It's where I live.

>> He that dwelleth in the

>> secret place. You know, and again, you

can define that any way you want, but I

personally believe the secret place is

this position where you've been led by

the Holy Ghost. He that dwelleth in the

secret place of the most high God

>> shall abide under the well I one time I

read that and I thought of the shadow.

God can't have a shadow. God is light.

How can God can't have a shadow? God

produces a shadow. So I read that again.

Another translation. He that dwells in

the secret place of the most high high

God shall abide under the defense of the

almighty. He's not my shadow. He's my

defense.

>> Yes sir.

>> Yes sir. I will say of the Lord, he's my

refuge, my fortress, my God. I will say

of the How do I stay in the secret

place? I say of the Lord, I get there by

being led and I stay there with my

words.

>> I say of the Lord, he's my refuge, my

fortress, my God, in him will I put my

trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from

the snare of the foul and fowler, the

noise of the pestil, and so on. You get

down later on, it said, uh, he'll give

his angels charge over thee to keep thee

in all thy ways. Yes,

>> they shall bear thee up in their hands,

lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

A thousand shall fall at thy

>> side and 10,000 at thy right hand, but

it shall not come near you. Only with

your eyes will you see and behold the

reward of the wicked. Then he ends up

saying with long life he will

>> satisfy

>> satisfy you.

>> He didn't just say he'll give you a long

miserable life. He said with long life

he will

>> satisfy you and show you his salvation.

Now of course that's just pulling a few

verses out of there. But you go back in

91st Psalm that that is that is our

divine. You know most insurance policies

pay off after you get in a mess. God

gives you the one that keeps you out of

a mess.

>> Oh come on now.

>> 91st Psalm. So anyway anyway that that

began to stir on the inside of me and

it's been stirring for a few weeks now.

Um,

uh, and I I'll swing back around to

this, but you know, of course, we we

called contacted Joe and we got our

tickets, we got our hotel, we got

everything booked, we got everything

planned for this trip, except that we've

got this report that somewhere in the

next five days, you could end up in a

war and the airport could shut down and

you might have to stay there for a month

or two. Um, or you could just plain get

into war anyway. So, all that's going

on. So, we contacted Joe and we said,

"Well, you know, our our job is to find

out should we or shouldn't we?

Is this something we need to do? I I'm

I'm fine either way. If it is, yes. If

it's not, no. It doesn't make that much

difference. We just need to know what is

this?" And so, we said, "Okay, we're

just the three of us, Pastor Janet,

myself, and then Joe. Let's just take a

day and pray about this individually,

and let's just see what we get." If one

of us gets something like, "Man, I just

do not think we need to go on this

trip," then we'll make it another time.

I don't have a problem with that. We'll

turn our tickets in or whatever, you

know, but we called inside of a day or

two. We called back and said, "What have

you got?" All three of us said, "I am

clear on this thing. Everything seems

fine. What do we What have we got to go

by?" The only thing we've got to go by

is not what the news says, not what CNN,

MSNBC,

Fox News, uh, uh, Wall Street Journ, I

don't care. It doesn't m It's not what

these organizations say. I'm not for or

against. I don't have an issue with them

either way. But the issue is not what do

they say? What do they think? What do

they predict? The only issue is what

have I got down on my knower?

>> What have I got? You know what, you

know, bottom line, a rough rough version

is what have you got in your gut?

>> What have you got on the inside? And so

when Paul writes this,

he says, um, for as many as are led by

the Holy Ghost, the spirit of God, for

as many, not everybody is, everybody can

be a son through the new birth. That's

that's that's not something you earn.

That's what you are born into. Okay? But

for as many as are led by the spirit of

God, there are the sons of God,

daughters of God, children of God. Okay?

So, just by being born again, I get to I

get to step over in the family of God.

I've got his DNA. I've got his his

nature, his life, his ability. I've got

his it all belongs to me. Okay. But, um,

that verse right there is so important

for where we live today. I don't know

about you, I've just watched I I've read

books. I've read articles. I've read so

many things. I've listened to people.

I've watched I've watched uh articles on

these things. most important thing is to

be able to know I'm following what's on

the inside. Okay, that that's what I've

got in here. I can have all kinds of I'm

I got I can have a lot up here or I can

have nothing up here, but that's not

what makes the difference. What makes

the difference is what have I got down

in here.

>> Okay. And so, yeah, backing up a step,

uh, what really stirred me along these

directions years ago now

was I heard I I read this in a in a in a

book actually by brother Hagen said,

"The man or woman I first time I read

it, it got on the inside of me and it

never left." The man or woman that shuts

their spirit away. See, we are a spirit.

We have a soul. We live in a body. Our

soul is our mind, will, emotions. That's

what keeps most of us in trouble most of

the time if we're in trouble. Body is

what just follows along anyway. So, we

are a spirit. We have a soul. We live in

a body. And what he said there was the

the man or woman that shuts didn't say

about your soul. Didn't say about your

body. Figured that out later. But the

man or woman that shuts their spirit

away shuts their spirit. You know, you

can open it up or you can you can put it

away. Mhm.

>> And most of us, most of the trouble

we've ever been in in our lives, it's

because we shut our spirit away instead

of being led by our spirit.

>> So the man or woman, the man or woman

that shuts their spirit away cripples

themsself.

See, I'm remember I read this.

I was trying to figure out where life

goes. I've just got my my heart right

with the things of God. Just started to

head the right direction. And I'm trying

to figure out where where does all this

lead to? What what what do I do? What do

I do with my life? Okay, you ever

wondered that?

>> What's this all about? The man or woman

that shuts their spirit away cripples

themsself in life. Didn't Yeah. Well, I

tell the devil. Just take that that word

out. The devil. The devil. The devil

can't do anything we don't let him do.

>> Do I need to say that again?

The devil cannot do anything we don't

let him do.

>> He does. He's not all knowing, all

powerful. He's not all anything but all

stupid. He He is He does not have the

ability to come in and re wreck and rule

your life, my life, anybody else's life.

He can, but only if we allow him to do

it.

>> And our our our major problem is not

faith. Our major problem is ignorance.

>> My people are destroyed for a

>> lack of knowledge. My problem is not not

having no faith. The fact I'm born again

says I got faith. For by grace are you

saved through faith. That not of

yourselves. It's a gift of God, not of

works, lest any man should boast. I I

know I I know the fact that I know I'm

going to heaven and I know I am. I know

I've got faith because that's the way I

got in there.

>> Okay. So faith I I know that's working.

It's not a faith issue that's messed me

up in the past. It's a knowledge issue.

A lot of things I believe but I don't

know enough. You can't believe what you

don't know. Cannot believe beyond actual

knowledge. So anyway,

>> the man or woman, I'll get this out in a

little bit. The man or woman that shuts

their spirit away. See, we can either

open it up and let it flow and work in

our lives and listen to it, be led by

the inward man. The man or woman that

shuts their spirit away. [clears throat]

Well, the devil, no, just take his name

out of this thing. Jesus whipped him

2,000 years ago. He's alive. He's just

not too well.

>> Man or woman that shuts their spirit

away cripples themsself.

>> Cripples themsself. If myself's

crippled, it's because myself did it.

>> The man or woman that shuts their spirit

away. Man or woman that shuts their

spirit away cripples themsself in life.

You see, if my life gets to be a mess,

usually I've done something somewhere

along the way that opened the door for

it to become a mess.

>> Oh, I mean, you're hard on us. I didn't

write the book.

>> The man or woman that shuts their spirit

away cripples themsself in life

cripples themsself. If I did it, I did

it.

>> Might as well accept the blame. If I'm

the one that If I'm the one that goofed

it up, if I'm the one that goofed it up,

I'm usually the only one that can fix

it.

God can take care of it, but he's got to

do it with my permission. I've got to

say, "God, I I I messed up here. I need

you to help me with that." Man or woman

that shuts their spirit away, cripples

themsel in life, and becomes uh And now

it says here, this this got my

attention. The man or woman that shuts

their spirit away cripples themsself in

life. Well, my life's been a wreck.

Well, you know, honestly, I guarantee

you if you went back through kind of

from day one and started looking at

things, probably you'd find out a lot of

places you might have goofed it up along

the way.

>> You got quiet on me there. Man or woman

that shuts their spirit away,

cripples himself in life, and becomes an

easy prey.

>> Yeah. I don't know about you, I I got I

got tired of being the one that the

devil's doormat. Yeah,

>> I got tired of being the one that got

kicked, beat, beat up, beat down, beat

around, ended up being in stupid places

so much of the time. I got tired of that

being the case. And I thought it was

just the fact that I was away from God.

It was the devil doing it. He's not that

smart. The man or woman that shuts their

spirit away, cripples themsself in life,

and becomes an easy prey to selfish and

designing. The word designing, I had to

look that one up. Designing means people

with wrong motives. They're out there.

And honestly, don't get me wrong on

this, but you know, some of them are

even in the church.

>> Nobody in here. Don't get me wrong.

>> Becomes an easy prey to selfish and

designing people.

>> There are selfish people out there.

They're out there for their good, not

your good. Just the way it works. There

are designing people out there. There

are people out there with wrong motives.

If they can make your life a mess and

make theirs better, they're going to be

happy about that. So they're out there.

Well, what's my job? My job is to not

not let them take advantage of that. Man

or woman that shuts their spirit away,

cripples themsel in life, becomes an

easy prey to selfish and designing

people. But

>> when I got this, this was the this was

the beginning of a change in my life.

Okay, I've had I don't know about you,

I've had a lot of those. I've had a lot

of landmarks in my life and this is one

of them.

becomes an easy prey to selfish and

designing people. But the individual,

man, woman, boy, girl, the individual

that will learn to be led by the spirit

of God will rise to the top in life.

>> Now, I don't know about you, when I

read, I didn't have to memorize that. I

didn't have to write that down, put it

on the mirror, read it every morning.

The first time I heard that, first time

I read it and heard it, it's like, okay,

that's it. That's it. That's my life.

Why? because I chose to let that be my

life. It's not that I'm that sharp. It's

not that I'm that smart. It's not that

I'm that, you know, that I'm the

sharpest knife in the drawer. That's not

it. The the difference is I made a

choice.

>> And if I can make a choice, I know you

can make a choice.

>> Man or woman that shuts their spirit

away, cripples themsel in life, and

becomes an easy prey to selfish and

designing people. But the individual

that will learn to be led by the what

will learn? So now this is not a verse

but it's it's not a scripture but it's

scriptural.

>> But the individual that will learn to be

led by the spirit of God will rise to

the top in life. It's not it's not well

you know God just chose to put you at no

God didn't choose to put me at the top.

He's no respector of persons.

>> If he put anybody at the top he has to

put everybody at the top.

>> God did not do that. He didn't make a

choice. He didn't go I like you and you

just irritate me. You're a good person

and you just bug me, you know. No, he

doesn't work that way.

>> He makes he he makes the call. Here's

what's available. You make the choice.

I'll make sure it works.

>> Right.

>> The individual that will learn to will

learn. We'll learn. We'll learn. We'll

learn. This is not a well, I just decide

I'm going to do it today. It Yeah, you

do. But but at the same time, it's a

it's a learning curve.

>> It's a learning learn. The individual

that will learn to be led by the spirit

of God will rise to the top in life. I

remember I read that it was like

something went off in me like fireworks.

I thought that's where that's where I'm

going. Not because I'm the smartest, the

brightest, the best. I'm got nothing to

do with it. I just read the book. And if

I can do that, if I can learn to be led

by the spirit of God. If I can do that

and if that will put me at the been in

the top in life, it's not a bank

account.

If God gives you a good big one, don't

throw it away. If it bothers you, bring

life is not a huge bank account. Rising

to the top of your life is when you can

go to bed at night and say, "I am in the

will of God."

>> Rising to the top in life is when you

can wake up in the morning and go, "Man,

it's good to be in the will of God.

>> I I know I'm in the right place, right

time, doing the right things." Rising to

the top in life is not a financial

status. It's not a material status. It's

not what [snorts] stuff you got. It's

not the size of your belongings. It's

not the size of your bank account.

Rising to the top in life is

is

what's your stand?

>> Who are you? What who are you connected

to? Who are you in? Who are you in and

who's in you,

>> man? Once you got that settled, once you

say, I know I'm in him and I know he's

in me. I'm in Christ. Christ is in me.

Christ in you, the hope of glory. Christ

in you, the expectation of his

manifestation. Once I got that settled,

I know where I am. I know who I am. I

know whose I am. All this other will

start taking care of itself. Once I get

that settled, I'm in a good spot. Does

it mean no more problems? No. That's

ridiculous to think that. Just living

down here, you're going to run into

things. But the thing is, I can run into

things, but I can deal with things

>> because I know who's in me.

>> I know who lives in here. Uh great.

Greater is he that's

>> in me than all in the world. Every devil

in hell can come camp out on my

doorstep. Take a number.

>> Why? Because I know who's in me.

>> I know who I'm in. I know who lives in

my house.

>> I know who I'm living in. And once I got

that settled, the devil can he can cause

he can make all the noise he wants to.

He can tear up the whole neighborhood,

but he's not coming near our house

because we know who we have believed and

we know who we're in and we know who's

in us. We got this all settled.

>> Doesn't mean we won't have problems. It

just means we'll always have answers.

>> Hallelujah. Glory to God. Well, I

haven't even got to my subject yet.

>> Thank you. My wife has said, "Don't tell

him that. He'll go forever." So,

take your time. We'll pick up another

week, okay? Because we we're just about

to the finish here. But um you know, you

go back through there and to me the

thing is and if if we stopped here, we'd

cut ourselves short. For as many as are

led by the spirit of God, they are the

sons of God. Okay? Man or woman that

shuts their spirit away cripples

themselves in life becomes an easy prey

to selfish and designing people. But the

individual that will learn to be led by

the spirit of God will rise to the top

in life. Now, I don't know about you,

those that statement and that verse to

me, it sets everything in motion. All I

got to do now is choose is choose and

obey.

>> Choose and obey. God made it just he

made it so available. Okay. I don't have

to be the brightest person on earth. I

just have to be the most one of the most

obedient ones.

>> I just have to get it. No. Bad.

>> Have I always done it? Are you kidding

me? Oh my word. No. No. I haven't always

done that. But I'm on a learning curve

that's growing all the time. Okay. And

if you go back through there, and we'll

pick up another time here because we'd

be here all afternoon. But if you go

back through there, my question, my next

question was, "What does that look like?

If I'm going to be led by the Holy

Ghost, what's that look like? What's

that look like?" Well, you know, you

know, I I went I I read the back of a

Christian magazine and I saw for $25 a

month, I could get a prophet. I could

get a prophecy a month from a prophet

and they send me one every month. I go,

"Yeah, and how'd that work out, huh?"

[laughter]

Let him that's ignorant be ignorant

Old Testament. Where Old Testament? I'll

finish with this. Old Testament. Where

did God live concerning his people?

Where did God where did God live

concerning his people?

I'll help you. On the outside.

>> I know that's a big question. Where did

he live concerning his people? On the

outside. So therefore, to get direction

to people, he had to go somewhere to the

outside to bring direction to people.

Means you had to go to a prophet because

the prophet's on the outside. Means you

had to put out a fleece because the

fleece is on the outside. Means you had

to have somebody give you a word because

the word's on the outside. But when God

came in Christ and he switched

everything and moved on the inside of

us, greater is he that's in me that's

when he made that switch over there for

me to go to the God is not a

ventriloquist.

>> Oh, I'm going to go to a meeting. See if

somebody gives me a word. They might,

but it'll probably be wrong.

>> And if you obey it, you'll be even more

wrong.

>> Oh, we could have a lot of fun with

this.

But there's an end to it which is here.

Okay. So the bottom line is if God Old

Testament God moved from the outside

because that's where he lived. New

Testament where does God live? Greater

is he that's

>> in you. God when he moved from the

outside to the inside he changed where

he talked from.

>> He doesn't talk from the outside

anymore. He talks from the inside now.

And if I get to where I can learn to be

led by the greater one in me, I can have

information impartation. I can have

everything I need in my life just by

knowing who he is and where he is.

>> And that's enough for today. Let's all

Well, I don't get anything there except

just ideas and thoughts and you come

Father, in the wonderful name of Jesus,

I thank you so much. I thank you so much

for the new birth. I thank you for the

infilling of the Holy Ghost. I thank you

that you've chosen to come and live in

us in the new birth. And so, I make a a

plea here, Father. I know what it was

like to be away from you.

But I remember when I made the choice to

change that and start heading the other

direction, everything began to change.

And it's still changing. And I pray

right now, Father, for any man, woman,

boy, girl, anybody in this room, anybody

watching online that does not have that

settled. That is not a done deal. That

is not a settled issue. They don't know

where you are. They don't know if

they're born again, don't know if

they're bloodbought, don't know if

they're redeemed. If if there's anybody

in the sound of my voice that hasn't got

that settled, I ask you to stir their

heart. Let them know this is the time to

get it settled. And I thank you for it

in the wonderful name of Jesus. Father,

hallelujah. Anybody here that say,

"Pastor, pray for me. I've got to get

this right." Just raise wave your hand

at me. I want to pray for you.

I went to too many meetings where I just

couldn't make a decision. My knuckles

turned white from hanging out of the

chair in front of me. didn't want to let

go because I thought if I let go, I'm

going to raise my hand. I'm going to be

one of those people. Now I've been one

of those people for almost 50 years. I'm

glad I turned to one of those people.
