awareness of his presence.

You can do two things at once. You can

listen with these ears but you can also

listen with these these ears

>> and be aware of the presence of God.

Don't you love his presence? There's

nothing like his presence. Nothing like

his presence.

I feel all deserted up here.

There's a verse in Romans.

Says this, you know the times in which

we are living.

Do you know the times in which we are

living? It's important that we know the

times in which we are living.

It's time

for you

I'll say it's time for us

to wake up.

It's time for us to wake up.

Our salvation is nearer now than when we

first became believers. That's Romans

Romans 13:11

13:11. It's the God's word translation.

It's time to wake up. Have you ever

noticed

that when someone is asleep, they are

totally unaware

of their surroundings?

You ever been on a a flight?

A man falls asleep.

He starts snoring.

Snoring and the whole plane turns to see

who's snoring. He is totally in la la

land, totally unaware of his

surroundings. The church cannot be

unaware of her surroundings. It's time

to wake up. It's time to wake up. It's

time to wake up. We have to recognize

the times we're living in and understand

and wake up to our purpose.

Why are we on Earth?

Why are you on Earth?

Have you ever wondered that? Why am I

even on Earth?

When we understand our why

we'll understand it when we understand

his why.

Why did Jesus even come? Why did he

come?

What was his purpose? When we know his

purpose, we'll understand our purpose.

Because our purpose is the same as his

purpose. So, why did Jesus come?

I think if we were to walk up to random

people

and say, "Do you know why Jesus came?" I

think there would be I think we'd be

shocked at how many people would say, "I

have no idea."

See, we get so used to our our

our bubble

that we can live in as believers. But

God wants us to pop that balloon.

Pop that bubble and get out there.

Love on people. Be there for people. Be

a witness to people. But what what what

is our purpose? Jesus tells us in John

John 6:38

chapter 6

verse 38. He says, "For I have come down

from heaven not to do my own will and

purpose

but to do the will and purpose of him

who sent me. For this is my father's

will and purpose that everyone who sees

the Son and believes in him should have

eternal life." Jesus knew

his why.

He knew there was a divine purpose

on his life.

And that purpose was to destroy the

works of the devil

and to seek and save people who are

lost.

That was his entire purpose. For 3 and

1/2 years, that was his purpose. But

Jesus needed to build a team because he

knew the day would come when he would

ascend back up to the Father's right

hand. But he needed to he didn't want

his purpose to fall apart after he left.

So, he built a team. And uh the first

thing he they taught he taught them

was how to seek and save the lost.

First thing.

Now, they couldn't go on YouTube

to the search engine and type in, "How

to seek and save the lost. Let's see

what chat GPT has to say."

They couldn't do that. So, what did he

do?

Bible says Jesus demonstrated

his purpose.

In Matthew 4:19, Jesus said to them,

Matthew 4:19

"Come with me.

I'll make a new kind of fisherman out of

you.

I'll show you how to catch men and women

instead of perch

and bass."

A new kind of fisherman, huh?

Jesus did not say, "Follow me and I'll

make you rich."

He didn't say, "Follow me and I'll make

you famous."

He said, "Follow me and I'll make you

fishers of

men."

A lot of translations say it this way.

"Follow me and I'll show you how to

catch people instead of fish."

Jesus used the concept of fishing

because so many people had that

occupation back in his day. That was the

primary number one number one occupation

and he knew that they could relate and

understand what he was talking about if

he used the concept of fishing and not

just them but generations to come.

Fishing isn't as popular today as it was

in his day. But hey, we still have

especially in Oklahoma.

You don't see a lot of you don't see a

lot of commercial fishermen. But I grew

up on the Gulf Coast. Grew up in

Pensacola. So, I'm used to

fishermen, commercial fishermen. And um

they would they have a system to their

madness. They know what they're doing.

Jesus said, "I'll make you fishers of

people." How do you How many of y'all

like to fish?

Come on. Oh, raise them up high.

All right.

I love to fish.

I'm a

bobber girl kind of fisherman.

Give me my fishing pole

with that little bobber on the end of

it.

I'll bait my own hook with worms or

minnows. Now, I won't take the fish off

when I catch them. But I will bait the

worm I Hey, that's good. I'm doing worms

and minnows. I'll bait my own hook. I'll

throw that baby into the water and I'll

sit there all day if I have to waiting

for a fish to bite.

I'm the most patient person. My husband

does not like fishing cuz

he doesn't want to sit there all day.

But me on the other hand, I'm just going

to watch that thing go up and down now

but until it goes down and doesn't come

up again. And then I jerk on that thing.

And then when I realize that I've caught

a fish, let me tell you the whole

lake knows

within a 50-mi radius that I caught a

fish.

There's joy

when one comes into the kingdom of God.

Joy in heaven

when one one receives Jesus.

He said, "I'll make you fishers of

people. I'll show you how to catch

people." That's what he said to his

followers and he's still saying to

saying it to us today.

Jesus demonstrated how to to his

disciples how to intentionally

go

after people. How to catch people.

Passion translation says Jesus walked

through the region

with the joyful message of God's

kingdom.

He taught in their meeting houses and

wherever he went, he demonstrated

God's power by healing every disease and

illness.

Can you what bait to use?

You know, it's all about the bait.

All about the bait. Good fishermen know

that.

They don't just use minnows and

worms.

They have different kinds of bait for

different kinds of fish.

Jesus had a bait. He knew what bait to

use. His bait was the supernatural.

Says, "How God anointed Jesus of

Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power

who went about doing good and healing

how many?"

"How many?"

"Healing all that were oppressed of the

devil for God was with him." When we go

out to where the people are, where the

fish are, God is with us.

And we will have supernatural bait,

miracles, just like here.

Matthew 4:23 says, "Jesus went

throughout Galilee teaching in their

synagogues, proclaiming the good news of

the kingdom, and healing every disease

and sickness among the people. News

about him spread all over Syria and

people brought to him all who were ill

with various diseases, those suffering

severe pain, the demon-possessed, those

having seizures, and the paralyzed, and

he healed them."

And then verse 25 says, "And great cloud

crowds

followed him."

What drew the crowds?

The miracles.

The miracles. The miracles drew

the crowds.

What was Jesus doing?

He was demonstrating how to fish for

people using supernatural

bait.

Healing and miracles are the bait that

cause fish to bite.

Healing and miracles get people's

attention.

It worked then for Jesus.

It still works today.

My uncle told me a story.

I wasn't born yet, uh back in the '50s,

early '50s, there was a tent revival

that took place in Baton Rouge,

Louisiana. My dad was the song leader

for the tent revival, so he was right

there in the middle of it. My uncle was

helping, assisting in the in the

meetings, but there was an an evangelist

that came in

and they began to preach, he began to

preach, and every night

ambulances would come

and unload people on stretchers.

Bring and lay them at the edge of the

platform. Night after night after night

for 7 weeks.

My uncle said he saw every manner of

sickness and every manner of disease. He

says, "There's not one sickness or

disease I can think of that I didn't see

people

instantly healed." He said, "They'd

come, they'd lay them down, lay them on

the edge of lay the stretcher just on

the edge of the platform. By the end of

the evening, every night, people would

get up and go home with their families."

If If If then,

if then, why not now?

Is he not the same God yesterday, today,

and forever? Is his power changed? Has

it abated? Has it gotten any less? No,

he's the same yesterday, today, and

forever. The same God that healed then.

And you know what the result of that

meeting was?

My uncle said, "And at the end of the

meeting, 7 weeks, they they gave an

altar call every service, every night."

He said, "At the end of the meeting,

they tallied up all the names and

numbers of people that had gotten born

again, 5,000

people were born again in 7 weeks." You

tell me that healing and miracles aren't

a supernatural bait. The fish came, they

met Jesus, they were healed, made whole,

and started a brand new life.

Healing and miracles are still

our bait that we are to use. God will

follow and confirm his word. You speak

his word. You know what you know how to

witness to someone. You know how to talk

to someone about the word, Jesus, what

he did for them, and I'm telling you

what,

ask them if they need healing.

Ask them if they need a miracle.

Pray for them.

Let that supernatural bait use that

supernatural bait. That bait is still

the same.

We're to fish with supernatural bait.

Jesus again declared his purpose. He was

He was continually, everywhere he went,

declaring his purpose. He knew his

purpose. He knew his why. Why was he

here?

When we know his purpose, we'll know our

purpose.

He declared his purpose in Luke 4:18. It

Luke 4:18

says, "The spirit of the Lord is upon

me, because he has anointed me to preach

the gospel to the poor. He sent me to

heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim

liberty to the captives, recovery of

sight to the blind, to set at liberty

those who oppressed or bruised." Here

Jesus is listing all kinds of people,

but what he's doing is actually talking

about different kinds of fish.

The poor, they may not need healing, but

they need to know that they don't have

to stay poor forever.

The brokenhearted, things happen.

People's hearts get broken because of

things that happened,

loved ones that die, or situations, life

falls apart, their heart is literally

broken. Jesus said, "I've come to heal

the brokenhearted." You don't have to go

through life brokenhearted. People in

the world do not have to go through life

brokenhearted. Says, "The captive, those

bound by addiction, don't have to go

through life bound up. We can keep

moving forward. They need to know they

can be free."

The blind, if Jesus opened the blind

eyes when he was on the earth, we should

be getting blind's eyes open, too. I'm

ready for those kind of of miracles.

The bruised, or one translation refers

to them as the abused.

They can be free from the pain

of abuse.

Matthew 9:37, Jesus also demonstrated

something else.

He said, "When he saw the vast crowds of

people,

Jesus' heart was deeply moved with

compassion,

because they seemed weary and helpless,

like wandering sheep without a

shepherd."

Jesus was moved with compassion. When?

When he saw the crowds of people.

Jesus was showing his disciples how to

intentionally

catch people.

When Jesus saw the people,

how often do we walk by people?

In Walmart.

Wherever we are.

How often do we intentionally walk by

people and we never see them?

When Jesus saw the people, when they he

saw them, something happened. Something

happened. He had compassion rise up on

the inside. Compassion gives us eyes to

see, and when we see, we can't help but

care.

Compassion is not feeling sorry for

someone. Don't come Don't confuse

compassion with sympathy. It's not

feeling sorry for all, "Bless their

hearts." No. It's like so a holy

something that rises up on the inside

side of us. It's a supernatural force.

It's a supernatural force of love

that allows something to touch us.

And we cannot leave them like we found

them.

It's greater than just a natural, "Oh,

I'm so sorry for you." No, it's a

supernatural force. It says, "I'm not

going to leave you like you I found you.

I'm going to bring change to your

situation." Compassion is not pity.

It's a supernatural force of love. Jesus

demonstrated compassion when he met

ran across the leper. We all remember

that story. The leper came and said, "If

you're willing, if you're willing,

you can make me clean." In other words,

what that leper was saying is,

"Will you let my leprosy touch you?

Will you let my situation touch you

so that you'll bring change and not

leave me like you found me?"

And the Bible says Jesus was moved with

compassion.

Put forth his hand and touched him

and said, "I will

be clean." He removed the if. As long as

we've got the if in there, what if? What

if? What if? What if? Mm, get rid of the

if. He said,

"Be clean. Be clean."

And Jesus said it He touched the leper.

Now, I'll just say this, it was against

the law

for him to even be around someone with

leprosy, much less

touch them.

But compassion overruled social

protocol.

Compassion,

the compassion of God, it overruled

social protocol protocol. When someone

go, "I wouldn't go to that area if I

were you."

I wouldn't talk to that person if I were

you.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. Well,

you're not you.

Compassion of God, it's something that

rises up and you can't leave them the

way you saw them.

Quite often,

in Jesus' ministry, he'd be on his way

someplace. So many stories in the Bible.

He'd be on his way someplace, and then

he'd get interrupted.

A blind man would call out to him, "Have

mercy on me." And he'd stop and take the

time

to open the blind eyes.

John Osteen used to refer to it as the

divine flow, the compassion of God on

the inside of us, the divine flow. How

many times have we encountered

situations where we didn't have time.

I'm in a hurry. I got to be somewhere. I

don't have time for this. Not now. I'll

see you maybe another time. And we

totally walk away and miss those

opportunities to catch people.

Paul Chase refers to those uh moments as

life's little interruptions.

He preached that message many, many,

many, many years ago, and I've never

forgotten it to this day, because

let's face it,

sometimes it's an interruption.

Maybe you do have somewhere you need to

be, but how important is that compared

to the person that the compassion has

just risen up in your heart about?

We've got to recognize

that flow.

We've got to be able to recognize it,

cuz I guarantee you that flow, that that

that divine flow is rising up in you

more times than you know.

We just have to be aware of it. I

remember, years ago, I've told this

story in the past,

but uh it it so impressed me. I I

learned something in this story that's

changed me forever.

We were in Eufaula,

uh going down to go fishing, just have a

day off. It was a It was a no makeup hat

kind of day for me. Didn't plan to see

anyone I knew.

And if I had about it hidden. So

So

but there's a little Braum's right on

the main street and so I said, "I want

ice cream. So I'll sit in the car while

you go in and get it for both of us." So

I was sitting in the car while he went

in to get our ice cream because you

know, he was just I was safer in the

car.

So he's in there. I'm sitting there and

we're parked right as the door opens and

closes to go into the main part of

Braum's.

So I'm sitting there and the door opens

and out comes this

um

elderly gentleman followed by someone

that looked like his son.

And they were he was moving very slowly.

The the younger man was helping him

assisting him.

They came and they were walking just he

was kind of like walking very very

slowly.

And um

when I looked at him

that divine flow

rose up in me.

And I thought, "Oh no."

Not today.

Lord, this is my day off.

>> [laughter]

>> Not today.

But I watched him and it they I watched

him and it did not go away.

He walked past and he got he was parked

in the car right next to us. His son

helped him get in.

He got in. So all of this is happening

and it seems like it's in slow motion

but it's hey it's just things are the

sun goes around gets in his the same in

his driver at the same time pastor comes

out of the of Braum's with my ice cream

and his ice cream. He gets in the car.

He reaches and so this is all happening

at the same time and I'm struggling

because this something is happening on

the inside of me. And I'm like, "Oh."

And so he starts to start the car and I

said, "Wait."

He said, "What? What?" [laughter]

I said, "I think I'm supposed to pray

for the man in that car over there. And

if I don't and I knew if I didn't I

would be miserable the rest of the day

because I will know that I missed God."

That force that force of love that

supernatural love that compassion it's

from God. It's the spirit of God moving

on you to allow what's in you to flow

out of you into someone else. It's not

for you. Oh, this feels so good. I'm

just going to enjoy this. No, it's not

for you. Compassion flows through you

for someone else.

So he said I said I I have to go I'm I

think I'm supposed to pray for that man

in that car right next to you.

He said, "You better do it." And I

thought,

You didn't help me. I wanted him to go,

"I'll go. I'll go do it." No.

He wasn't the one that was getting moved

on with compassion.

He's no help.

>> [laughter]

>> Every man for himself.

So I got out of the car.

I walked around the front of the car

over to his door which was like pastor's

right here. This little man sitting

inside his car and I knocked on the

glass.

It's the summer and the guy's starting

the car and you know, it's hot. I

knocked on the glass and he put his

window down.

And I said, "Excuse me, sir." And I told

him what happened.

I said, "I was just sitting in my car

right next to us waiting on my husband

and when I looked at you

something rose up in me.

And I knew I needed to pray for you.

Is there something I can pray with you

about?"

He said,

"Interesting." He said, "My son just

picked me up at the hospital

and we're on our way home. I've been in

the hospital." And he said, "But I

wanted Braum's first." I thought,

"That's a good man."

>> [laughter]

>> So he said, "Absolutely, you may pray

for me."

So he took his hat off.

He had a little baseball cap. I didn't

take mine off.

He took his hat off and he covered his

heart.

And I begin to pray.

Didn't pray long.

Didn't pray. I just followed the Holy

Ghost in how to pray for him.

That he'd be strengthened with might.

That he'd be filled with the presence of

God and that it would be peace bring him

peace and and I just prayed the word

over him. I knew he was a believer. I

could tell that much.

And so um at the end I just said,

"Thank you." He said, "Thank you."

I went back got in the car ate my ice

cream that was melting. I said, "Okay,

we can go now."

Following that flow.

That divine flow. It will hit you when

you least expect it.

But if you make a lifestyle of

overriding it

Listen to what I'm saying.

If you make a lifestyle of overriding

that divine flow

that divine flow will dry up.

Because he's a gentleman.

The Holy Ghost is a gentleman.

He wants to flow through us.

He wants to flow through you.

Say me? Yes, every day.

Every day whether it's reaching out to a

neighbor. You'll know. You'll know.

You'll get accustomed to that. I know

when that flow starts churning on the

inside. I know it. It's been so many

years now. But that story taught me how

to recognize it and I knew I was going

to be absolutely miserable if I didn't

yield to it. Because it wasn't for me.

It was for him. Compassion will flow

through you. It's not for you. It's for

someone else. So if you sense that then

start looking.

Be intentional. Okay.

Okay, I'm looking. Where's this Where's

this flow supposed to go? Who is this

for?

We're talking about how to catch people.

The Holy Ghost knows who we need to

reach out to.

And he will lead us to those

individuals.

I remember our boat

had a depth finder on it.

Anybody know what a depth finder is on a

boat?

Okay. Our boat had a depth finder and it

would show us how deep we were going and

actually where the fish were. Now since

I'm a bobber kind of girl I just stayed

on the dock and fished. But that depth

finder would show us where to go to find

the the fish.

The the fish that are all deep that swam

that that's where the big fish are

actually. Show us where to go. Well, we

have a depth finder on the inside of us.

We have the Holy Ghost on the inside of

us. He knows where we need to go. He

knows to whom we need to reach out to

and he tells us how to do it.

That flow. That flow on the inside.

So Jesus' plan was to to start with 12

then it went to 24 then it went to 70

and now here we are

with literally thousands and thousands

and thousands of believers around the

world

with all the same purpose as Jesus had

to go fishing

for people.

He said, "Follow me.

I'll make you fishers of people instead

of fish. Follow me. I'll show you how to

catch people."

And that same same supernatural fishing

equipment is still available to the

church today. It's available to you.

It's available to me.

He's equipped us. He's equipped us with

the power of the Holy Ghost.

The power of the Holy Ghost to be

fishers of people.

In Tulsa?

In Oklahoma?

Across America

and the nations of the world. It's a

four-point plan.

But where do we begin? We begin in

Tulsa, Oklahoma.

If you can't catch people in Tulsa,

Oklahoma let me tell you what you going

to be way over your head to go fishing

in another nation.

It starts here.

It starts here. There are Someone we

were in Germany years ago having a

lunch. This pastor's wife was sitting

next to me. She spoke broken broken a

little broken English. She said, "Uh in

Tulsa everybody saved?"

That's all she'd ever heard of you know,

was all the Christians in Tulsa. I said,

"No. Not everyone is saved." Do you know

how many of you know someone that's not

born again in Tulsa? Raise your hand.

Yeah.

Everybody's not saved in Tulsa.

So we need to get our antennas up.

And we need to use our eyes

and be intentional

to go fishing. The power of the Holy

Ghost let me tell you.

The power of the Holy Ghost will help

get us out of our comfort zone.

You said, "That's just not my

personality." Who says?

Are you born again?

Then you can go fishing.

You're born again.

And then if you want the icing on the

cake get filled with the Holy Ghost.

He'll direct you to where you need to

go. Praying in tongues. There's a

boldness that comes. Acts 4:13 said, Um

Acts 4:13

oh let me go back one.

Uh rarely this is rarely this is really

this came to me. Rarely do we see

professional fishermen

fishing right off the shore.

They get in their boat and they go out

into the deep

where the fish are.

So it might not be right next door.

Might be might not be.

Just be prepared to go out into the

deep.

So it says in Acts 4:13, "Now when they

saw the boldness of Peter and John." How

do you see boldness? You don't see

boldness. It's not tangible. You know,

you see this pulpit but boldness how do

we see boldness? You see the results of

boldness.

The results. So Peter and John were

walking past a crippled man lying at the

side of the gate beautiful. So the man

called out to them for money that he was

a beggar. And Peter and John said,

"We don't have any money but what we do

have we'll give to you. In the name of

Jesus, rise up and walk. So they reached

down, took his hand, the man jumped to

his feet, took off leaping and running

and praising God. Completely healed. The

man had a reputation of being at that

gate. God changed his reputation. He was

no longer the crippled man. His

reputation changed to THE HEALED MAN.

WE NEED TO BE CHANGING SOME REPUTATIONS.

There's so many homeless people in

Tulsa. That needs to change.

Change their reputation. They no longer

have to be known as, "Oh, he's the guy

that stands on the corner of 71st and

Memorial." No, he's the guy that

something happened to him. He's no

longer on the street. I heard he got a

job and I heard he's moving into an

apartment and I heard he's part of a

church.

How about that?

Get out of the boat. Get out of the

boat. Get it off the shore. Get into the

deep. That's where the fish are. That's

where the fish are.

>> It was, wasn't it?

That was Holy Ghost. Holy Ghost. Holy

Ghost.

What if Peter and John had had

ignored that man?

What if Peter and John didn't have time

to stop? Well, Lord, not now. I You know

I got to be somewhere. I'll Maybe I'll

catch them on a catch them on another

time coming into the temple. No.

You got to stay in the rhythm, the

timing of the Holy Ghost. God will work

on both ends.

But if you miss the time,

you're going to be plowing on your own.

Following the Holy Ghost. Following that

unction. Following the compassion. The

compassion.

We've been equipped with supernatural

bait,

with supernatural fishing equipment, the

name of Jesus,

signs following.

It's It's what follows us as a believer.

Laying hands on the sick,

casting out devils,

drinking

water,

not making us sick. We've been there,

done that in other nations.

Not gotten sick, that is.

Signs of the believer. These signs shall

follow them that believe.

The fish are biting.

We just need to get them in the boat.

Proverbs 11:30 says, "He who wins souls

Proverbs 11:30

is wise."

Flip it.

He who wins who He who doesn't win souls

is

foolish,

stupid,

dumb.

There's lots of words you could fill in

the blank.

But he who wins souls is wise.

There was a man a Catholic an Italian

Catholic priest that was alive on the

years ago, St. Francis of Assisi.

He made this statement that's he's very

well known for. Preach the gospel

and if you must,

use words.

I love that.

If you must, use words. Our lives

Our lives should be a witness

to the world that God is real and lives

in us.

We should live our lives

to where people go, "There's something

different about her.

There's something different There's a

There's a joy."

I have a neighbor.

Love him dearly. This is a family. This

family just right down the street. God

has really connected us. Dear, dear,

dear. They're of a different religion.

But he sent me a birthday wish on

Facebook. He commented

and he said,

"Happy birthday. Don't ever stop

smiling."

Yeah.

People are watching.

People are watching. You don't know

who's watching. You never know. You

never know, but I'm telling you the

world is watching because the Bible says

we are a peculiar people.

We're different. We should be different

from the world. Duh.

We're in this world, but we're not of

the world. We have the life of God.

We're children of God, sons and

daughters of God. Our lives should

radiate the presence of God.

We should be different.

And when we are, people will tell.

They'll be able to tell.

Every day we're surrounded by lost

people.

Do you know what it means to be lost?

Have you ever been lost?

Many's been lost many times.

I can believe that.

>> [laughter]

>> I can believe that. Me, too, many. I'm

right there with you.

Lost people are people who can't find

their way.

You know, we go down some streets. You

got this address and you know it's here

somewhere, but you can't find it.

Jesus said, "I am the way,

the truth,

and the life." So our purpose is to seek

seek out seek, but don't just find them

and go, "Good luck. See you later." No,

seek and save the lost. Bring them to

the knowledge of Jesus.

That's what it's all about. We're trying

to populate heaven.

Bring them to the knowledge of Jesus.

How can we close our eyes to those

around us

when we know that we have what they

need?

It's very selfish if you think about it.

We can't live our life selfish.

We need to be looking.

Ever looking. Our eyes open. Aware.

Aware. Awake. That's what we're talking

about. Being awake to our purpose.

Waking up to our purpose.

Another important factor

about fishing.

A good fisherman knows the best time for

catching certain kinds of fish.

Here in Oklahoma, crappie season is

March, April, and May.

Do I got any crappie fishermen in here?

Yeah. Yep, I know Pastor Bruce does.

Crappie's good eating.

March, April, and May. We're in the

middle of crappie season.

My mom used to tell me that oysters

oysters

were best

if the month had a an R in it.

Now, people have laughed at me, but my

mama was right. My mom and she had all

these sayings, but she was right.

Oysters are better in

Let's see. January, February. February,

January.

Go back. January, February, March,

April.

Bottom line, oysters are not fresh in

the summer because they have to be under

cold They have to be harvested in cold

water. Don't let anybody fool you. If

they're get oysters in the summer,

they're not fresh. They're freshly

frozen, but they're not fresh.

So,

you got to know what fish

and where they are, but what's the best

time to catch fish?

Well, I'll just say this. Next weekend

is Easter weekend

and we're having the Easter Fun Bash on

Saturday.

And the fish are coming to us.

Why are we recruiting so many

volunteers? So that you can let your

light shine. You can love on people. You

can let them see something's really

different about these people. Let them

see we love you. We care about you.

We've done this.

Next Sunday, next Saturday, the the the

the the fish are coming to us. And then

on Sunday,

statistics show that if people don't go

to church on a on a as a usual as a

habit, they will go Christmas

and Easter.

So, we have a job to do this week.

Church, we are going fishing.

If you're frustrated at times, maybe

you're not fulfilling your purpose.

That is all of our purpose. So I

encourage you,

be alert. Wake up.

Look and see. See what's out there. See

who you're coming in contact with and

follow on the inside. It won't be a

booming voice. It won't be

uh you know, just uh it may be very

subtle. Ooh, I think I need to just

invite them to come. Grab Grab some

flyers. I'll make it easy for you. You

don't even have to Just all you need to

say is, "Hey, do you have a church to go

to on Easter? I would love for you to

come." We need to become bringers.

Just not even just Not even talking.

Just tell them, "I'll save you a seat.

I'll save you a seat. Come. Come. I'll

be waiting for you at the door." We need

to get out of our comfort zone. Us four

and no more. There's a whole world just

probably in just the radius of our

church. This neighborhood over here. I

cut through to go back over to Memorial

because I Yeah, you know.

It's a mess, and but it's going to be

finished one day. Before Jesus comes,

I'm hoping.

But I we try I drive through that

neighborhood and I think, "Oh my lands.

All these people

All these fish

are waiting to be caught."

Change the way you think.

This includes you.

Well, that's not me. Yes, it includes

you. It includes every one of us. Let's

go

fishing.

Do you know your purpose?

Do you know your purpose? It begins with

knowing Jesus.

That's where your purpose begins.

You really have no purpose before that.

That amounts to anything that's eternal.

But we have an eternal purpose.

Receive him and make him your personal

Lord and savior. If you've never done

that today, today is your day. Step into

Step into God's plan for your life. It's

a good one.

It's a good one. Like the waiter we

shared with uh I think last week or the

week before

When uh

got talking to him and I said, "Have you

ever been to Oklahoma?" Um no, but when

I turn 21, I want to go up there and hit

all the bars and the casinos.

I can't even believe it just popped out.

I did not even think it. I said, "How

about the churches?"

And he said, "Yeah."

Just like that. Yeah. That, too.

And I said, "Do you know Jesus?"

It was so easy. It's like It was like

God set this whole thing up and we

didn't even realize it till when all

this started happening.

And I said, "Do you know Jesus?" And he

said,

"Yeah, but I walked away."

And I said, "Let me tell you something."

He's just 20 years old.

I said, "Let me tell you [music]

something. God's got an amazing plan for

your life. And all you have to do is

turn around and walk towards him."

That's all it takes. One decision. One

decision. I'm going to walk with He

says, "My dad, he's a godly man." He

says, "I [music] I I know what I need to

be doing." I said, "Okay.

Then I know you're going to do it." I

wanted to pray with him, but the

restaurant was crazy and he was flying

low, but he took time to [music] stand

there and talk to us.

And I just believe I

I said to pastors as we were driving

away, I said, "I have a feeling his

dad's been praying for laborers and we

got to be the laborer today."

But I also believe that that [music]

he's doing something about it.

That he made a decision that day. And I

said, "The plan God's got for you is far

greater than anything you could ever

imagine."

And he was so

so open,

>> so in tune.

So, there's people like him everywhere.

Everywhere. Our restaurants are full of

people like him.

Our streets, our malls, shopping shops.

Tulsa is full of people just like him.

Maybe they walked with God at one point

and they turned away. Walked away. I

didn't know that about him, but I'm

telling you what God wants to use you.

He wants to flow his compassion through

you to talk to people this week and the

Holy Ghost will give you the boldness

you need to get out of your comfort

zone. Trust him for that. Trust him for

that. You don't Bold is not rude.

If you're going to be rude, don't tell

them about World Outreach.

Don't be rude.

Let the love of God flow through you.

People are open to the love of God

because it's so rare in today's society.

one of those traditions that I grew up

find my purpose.

I need to walk in my purpose, but it

begins with knowing Jesus." If you're

You If you need to receive Jesus, find

So, last night when I was preparing

when I was meditating on the verse in

Matthew 9:36 that said, "When Jesus saw

his heart was deeply moved with

compassion

because they seemed weary

and helpless."

When I read that word

compassion

rose up in [music] me.

It was wild. I thought, "Okay, I think

he's demonstrating what I just going to

preach."

But the compassion of God rose up in me

and I heard on the inside

voice [music] saying,

"I'm weary.

I'm just so weary."

If that's you, I want you to come down

here. I'm going to minister to you.

increases the power of the weak."

These are Bible verses.

Let us not become weary

in doing good.

For at the proper time, we will reap a

harvest if we do [music] not

give up.

Don't give up.

You can get weary in well doing.

And just hit a place where I give up.

Because he wants to strengthen you.

your ear. He'll talk to me like he does

everyone else and

this morning he was like, "Wonder if

nobody responds. Wonder if you missed

them." I thought, "I'd rather miss it

this way

than miss it the other way." And leave

here and go, "Oh, I should have called

that out." No, I I know when it's the

Holy Ghost. And I'm telling you, I was

upstairs in this room. We call it our

prayer room and I was studying and I was

praying and when this happened, I

thought,

"It's God. There's going to be

somebody." I don't care if it was one

person, it was for you or for you or for

you. It was worth it for one person. But

look at all these people. They're all in

the same

>> place right now. Situations vary, I'm

sure with every one of you, but all I

want to say is bottom line, Jesus said,

"I'll give you rest."

When your strength feels depleted, I

cuts into our time with him. Find a

time to spend with him.
