  1. But this morning I want to ask you

  2. another question.

  3. My husband tells me I ask way too many

  4. questions.

  5. >> [laughter]

  6. >> I ask questions a lot, but you don't

  7. have answers unless you ask questions.

  8. So I have another question for you. Do

  9. you know who you are?

  10. Do you know who you are?

  11. Knowing who you are is not just your

  12. name,

  13. address, occupation.

  14. It goes way deeper than that.

  15. It's having an understanding of

  16. something that science discovered in the

  17. early 1900s.

  18. And something that God created and put

  19. in Adam and Eve at the very beginning.

  20. Scientists It took them a few years to

  21. discover it. It's called DNA.

  22. DNA. What is DNA? It is the genetic

  23. information inside the cells of our body

  24. that makes us who we are.

  25. It determines our hair color, our skin

  26. color.

  27. Uh it determines all of those all of

  28. those as well as characteristics,

  29. certain characteristics.

  30. And uh for instance, and it's passed

  31. down from both parents. For instance, I

  32. have my mother's color eyes.

  33. I used to have my mom's color hair.

  34. That was a very long time ago.

  35. She was a brunette.

  36. I have my dad's skin coloring. He was

  37. very olive-complected. I have his skin

  38. coloring. I got my love for music from

  39. my mom.

  40. And I got my dad's sense of humor.

  41. But I got my lack of ability to get

  42. jokes from both of them.

  43. >> [gasps]

  44. >> Neither one of them could tell a joke or

  45. get a joke. So our genetics are strong.

  46. And I'm sure you can sit there and think

  47. about what you inherited from maybe your

  48. mom and your dad. It's DNA that that's

  49. the basis of those of those

  50. characteristics. But I want to say this,

  51. no one else in the world has my DNA.

  52. No one else in the world has your DNA.

  53. It is unique to each of us. Even

  54. identical twins. Their I their their DNA

  55. is the closest

  56. possible, but they're still not the DNA

  57. is not identical. There'll be

  58. differences that will show up over time.

  59. No one has our DNA. No one has your DNA

  60. because I DNA

  61. is our identity.

  62. It's who we are, our identity. And you

  63. know what? I In all the years of

  64. traveling, I think about this a lot cuz

  65. I see all the the different

  66. nationalities and and different people

  67. around the world and there's just

  68. millions and millions of people and

  69. there's really no two people that have

  70. the same DNA. Is that crazy?

  71. That's something only God could do.

  72. But over time medical science has

  73. developed a way to test DNA

  74. to determine uh people's history, family

  75. history, genealogy. And so, you know, my

  76. daddy used to go around the house

  77. singing, "I'm glad I'm a Cherokee."

  78. That was the only line he would sing.

  79. He'd walk in the kitchen singing, "I'm

  80. glad I'm a Cherokee."

  81. He'd walk in the back door singing, "I'm

  82. glad I'm a Cherokee." And I'd think,

  83. "Really?" But I grew up thinking, "Okay,

  84. but if he's a Cherokee, I'm I got some

  85. Cherokee in me."

  86. Until a few years ago when I went and

  87. talked to my uncle, my dad's brother,

  88. and we were talking about our our

  89. genealogy and he said, "Well." I said,

  90. "Yeah, daddy used to talk about being a

  91. Cherokee all the time." He said, "We're

  92. not Cherokee." I'm like, "What?

  93. My daddy said we were and he sang it

  94. forever." He says, "We're not Cherokee.

  95. He said we're Quapaw."

  96. I said, "Qua who?"

  97. I've heard of Navajo. I have had heard

  98. of Sioux. I've heard of all of them, but

  99. never had I heard of Quapaw. Come to

  100. find out there is a Quapaw Oklahoma. I

  101. see cars now with Quapaw license plates.

  102. I'm like,

  103. Quapaw. There's also a casino there.

  104. Ask me how I know. No, I did it not go.

  105. >> [laughter]

  106. >> Wait. Wait.

  107. Wait a minute. I did not go. No, we were

  108. on a flight one time and we were sitting

  109. in front of this guy talking to someone

  110. else. He was just coming back from DC.

  111. He'd been in DC meeting of Indian

  112. leaders or whatever. And he was talking

  113. about a Quapaw. I heard him using the

  114. word Quapaw. So when we were getting off

  115. the flight, I turned around and said,

  116. "Did I hear you you know say something

  117. about Quapaw?" He said, "Yeah, I did." I

  118. said, "Well, I'm told that I I got

  119. Quapaw." He goes, "Really?" I said,

  120. "Yeah, and um I said but my grandma,

  121. grandpa, whatever never registered." He

  122. goes, "Well, that's too bad cuz there's

  123. a casino in Quapaw in Quapaw Oklahoma

  124. that you could come to free." I said,

  125. "Oh well, that's that's okay."

  126. Whatever. But I will tell you this, a

  127. few days ago

  128. my nephew

  129. uh on my well, my nephew texted me and

  130. he said, "Pawpaw was right all along."

  131. And I'm This was just this week. And I

  132. said, "What do you mean?" He said, "I

  133. started doing some some genealogy, you

  134. know, tracking it, going back and

  135. looking at family lines." And he said,

  136. "We have Cherokee on

  137. on my grandmother's side, his

  138. great-grandmother, and we have Quapaw on

  139. our grandpa's side." So I said, "Okay

  140. then. I am part Cherokee and I'm part

  141. Quapaw." So I That's all I wanted to

  142. tell you about that.

  143. It's amazing what you find out. Finding

  144. out who we are is what we're trying to

  145. figure it out. So that was good to know,

  146. but I still wanted to know more. I was

  147. just curious. And so I got on this

  148. ancestry.com.

  149. Anybody ever done that?

  150. Uh-huh, a few of you have. Sometimes it

  151. turns out good, sometimes it doesn't

  152. turn out so good. But I found out that

  153. my relatives, my ancestors, came from

  154. various parts of Europe. The most

  155. surprising thing was like 42% uh

  156. Scotland. I'm like, "What? I've never

  157. never heard of my relatives coming from

  158. Scotland." But came from Scotland, but I

  159. started Googling uh names actually and I

  160. thought, "Yeah, part of my family's

  161. names are Scottish." And then it said

  162. 42% Scotland, 36% from England and

  163. Northwestern Europe, which is

  164. Switzerland, France, Luxembourg,

  165. Belgium, that whole little area of

  166. countries. Um and then and then others

  167. uh that it listed, all European all

  168. European uh countries. And so

  169. I thought, "Well, this is good. This is

  170. interesting." And I then it said that

  171. the DNA showed that my ancestors, when

  172. they came to America, they settled in

  173. South Carolina, South Alabama, and the

  174. Florida panhandle panhandle. The DNA

  175. testing showed all that and I'm like,

  176. "Well, that's right." Because uh my

  177. mom's family is all from Atmore, Alabama

  178. down into Pensacola where my mom's

  179. family still lives to this day. I have

  180. lots of cousins and family in Pensacola.

  181. But um fun fact, you like fun facts?

  182. Fun fact. Years ago I was told that I

  183. was related to Elvis Presley.

  184. My grandmother's maiden name was

  185. Presley.

  186. And she was from my grandmother,

  187. great-grandmother, they all came from

  188. that lower Alabama uh Atmore, Alabama

  189. area. And they said that back in the

  190. day, years and years ago, that Elvis

  191. Presley's family was also from that same

  192. general area as well as my my

  193. grandmother's family. And they had a

  194. feud.

  195. His family and my grandmother's family.

  196. And his family ended up moving to

  197. Mississippi where Elvis was born and

  198. raised. But uh my family all stayed in

  199. lower Alabama in the panhandle. So Elvis

  200. is a cousin

  201. or something. I just thought you might

  202. like that.

  203. So, but another fun fact is we found

  204. when I'm just I'm I'm laying a

  205. foundation. So don't don't go don't go

  206. spacey on me. Don't go to lunch on me.

  207. Just stay stay engaged. So another fun

  208. fact, we adopted a puppy in 2021.

  209. We had had up to that point a great

  210. pyrenees that weighed 150 lb. We had him

  211. for 8 years. And as soon as he passed

  212. away, we got ourselves a newfoundland.

  213. She was only 110 lb. So we downsized. So

  214. but our hearts were broken when we lost

  215. uh Cherokee Ruth as her name was.

  216. And so a couple weeks later uh I talked

  217. pastor into taking me by a puppy haven

  218. rescue viewing

  219. show. Except I didn't tell him we were

  220. going there. I said

  221. Well, I said I wanted ice cream, which I

  222. did.

  223. So we left to go get I said, "Let's go

  224. to the ice cream place up near Utica or

  225. north." And so we did it on the way. I

  226. said, "Can we make a stop on the way?"

  227. So anytime he said we should have named

  228. our puppy ice cream.

  229. >> [laughter]

  230. >> Which we should have. But anyway, we

  231. walked in and there was this cutest

  232. black and white ball of fluff

  233. that the minute I saw him, the minute I

  234. laid my eyes on him,

  235. I I fell in love with him. So we filled

  236. out the papers to adopt him and we were

  237. chosen to adopt him. And but we had no

  238. clue what we had adopted. The you know,

  239. the the the the pyrenees we knew, you

  240. know, that's going to be a big dog. The

  241. newfoundland we knew, she's going to be

  242. a big dog. But this one we're like,

  243. "Okay, this is definitely a step of

  244. faith. We have no idea what we just

  245. adopted." And someone told us we could

  246. do a DNA testing on animals. Anybody

  247. know that?

  248. Okay, well we did it. We sent it off and

  249. it came back and it told us that

  250. Atlas is Australian cattle dog, which

  251. means he jumps and clears the ground

  252. like like clears the ground all four

  253. legs. Australian cattle dog and he herds

  254. me. Great pyrenees

  255. and a golden retriever.

  256. So, he loves to play fetch. The other

  257. two, I could throw it and they look at

  258. me like, "If you want it, you go get

  259. it." I had never had a dog that plays

  260. fetch. So, we've got this dog and he

  261. only weighs 54 lb. That's huge not

  262. hugely less than the other ones. So,

  263. just So, I found out that So, hey, if

  264. you've got an animal you don't know what

  265. you got, go get him DNA tested.

  266. I said all this to say, just as we all

  267. have natural DNA.

  268. Each one of us have a unique

  269. unique to each of you, our natural DNA.

  270. This morning I want to talk to you about

  271. spiritual DNA.

  272. Because

  273. as a child of God, we have the DNA of

  274. our heavenly Father.

  275. Comes from the parents. We have you have

  276. the DNA of your heavenly Father. And

  277. that DNA is far more important than any

  278. natural DNA. That spiritual DNA will

  279. always supersede natural DNA.

  280. Which means sickness, disease,

  281. oppression, depression, addiction, it

  282. cannot be passed down from generation to

  283. generation if we know our spiritual DNA.

  284. I hear people talk about the

  285. generational curse. I don't believe in

  286. that. Because that curse was broken when

  287. Jesus became my Lord. When I got the DNA

  288. of God, uh-uh. Spiritual DNA over over

  289. see supersedes over is greater than

  290. natural DNA.

  291. So, just because your grandmother and

  292. your aunt

  293. and maybe your mother all dealt with

  294. cancer does not mean you have to dread

  295. getting cancer.

  296. Just because your dad and your grandpa

  297. were alcoholics does not mean you have

  298. to be an alcoholic.

  299. Just because everyone in your family has

  300. anxiety and issues of the mind does not

  301. mean you have to go through life dealing

  302. with issues.

  303. You have a different DNA now. You have

  304. the supernatural DNA, the spiritual DNA.

  305. Not the natural, the spiritual DNA

  306. supersedes the natural DNA and breaks

  307. that curse.

  308. But how do you know that, they say. Oh,

  309. also just because my mom and my dad

  310. both dealt with dementia

  311. does not mean

  312. I will have to deal with dementia.

  313. Because why? Because I know that I have

  314. the spiritual DNA of my heavenly Father

  315. and he does not have memory issues.

  316. Thank you, Minnie.

  317. Our spiritual DNA is our true identity.

  318. Our spiritual DNA is who we are in him.

  319. Acts 17 says, "In him we live and move

  320. and have our being." Why? Because we are

  321. his children.

  322. We are his children. So, we identify You

  323. know, you hear a lot of it today about

  324. who do you identify with? Well, I

  325. identify with a cat. No.

  326. Who do we identify with? We identify

  327. with our heavenly Father and his DNA.

  328. That's who we identify with. And just as

  329. my natural DNA revealed my natural

  330. genealogy, so I told you all that.

  331. Because it revealed my natural genealogy

  332. just from my DNA. Our spiritual DNA will

  333. reveal our spiritual genealogy and who

  334. we really are.

  335. You wonder who you are?

  336. Look at your spiritual genealogy. John

    John 1:12

  337. 1:12 says, "But as many as received him,

  338. he gave the authority to become the

  339. children of God. That is those who

  340. believe in his name." When we received

  341. Jesus, we became sons and daughters of

  342. God. And with that authority to be his

  343. children, he gave us what's called power

  344. of attorney.

  345. When my parents were getting up in

  346. years, they I went to see them in

  347. Florida.

  348. My mom said had this this document She

  349. says, "We want to make give you power of

  350. attorney because you're our oldest

  351. daughter." And I said, "Okay." And she

  352. said, "Which means you will act in our

  353. stead. You'll be able to make decisions

  354. for us regarding business affairs,

  355. regarding banking, regarding uh medical

  356. things down the road." She said, "You

  357. will be the one to make the decisions."

  358. I thought, "Oh, great. No pressure."

  359. No, she said, "Someone has to and it's

  360. it's you." And so, they they drew up a

  361. document. It was a legal document that

  362. gave me the authority.

  363. Power of attorney.

  364. We have been given a legal document.

  365. It's the word of God that gives us and

  366. says we are children of God.

  367. And because we are children of God, we

  368. have been given power of attorney.

  369. That's why in Mark 16, Jesus said, "In

  370. his name

  371. in his name, not in my name, it's in his

  372. name, we can cast out devils, we can

  373. speak with new tongues, we can take up

  374. serpents and they won't hurt us, we can

  375. drink any deadly thing it won't hurt us,

  376. and we can lay hands on the sick and

  377. they shall recover." Power of attorney

  378. in his name.

  379. All of this is possible because of our

  380. spiritual

  381. DNA.

  382. Spiritual DNA because we are children of

  383. God.

  384. And then the Bible goes on to say

  385. regarding our spiritual ID identity or

  386. DNA says, "But you are a chosen

  387. generation,

  388. a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a

  389. peculiar people, that we should show

  390. forth the praises of him who has called

  391. us out of darkness into his marvelous

  392. light. That is who we are." We're chosen

  393. by God.

  394. We're made We've been made to be

  395. royalty. Royalty because our Father's a

  396. king.

  397. We're a peculiar people. That's not

  398. weird.

  399. I'll repeat that. Peculiar is not weird,

  400. but what it means is he took the

  401. ordinary

  402. and he made us extraordinary.

  403. So, we can take our place as children of

  404. God and use the God-given authority that

  405. he's given us. But if we don't know who

  406. we are, if we don't know our spiritual

  407. DNA, then we'll never live like God

  408. intended us to live, which is takes us

  409. which is exercising our authority over

  410. the kingdom of darkness.

  411. It doesn't matter how old you are, how

  412. young you are.

  413. Doesn't matter how tall you are, how

  414. short you are. Each of us has authority

  415. because we are a child of God to

  416. exercise over the kingdom of darkness.

  417. Paul said in this 1 Corinthians 3, he

  418. says, "Are you not acting

  419. like mere humans?"

  420. We're not supposed to be acting like the

  421. world. They are mere humans. They've not

  422. been changed into children of God. "Are

  423. you not acting like mere humans?"

  424. Another translation says, "Are you not

  425. walking like ordinary people?"

  426. We're not ordinary anymore.

  427. We're extraordinary because life as

  428. usual ended when God became our Father

  429. and we took on his DNA. And because of

  430. his DNA, for sickness and

  431. sickness and disease, we have health.

  432. For poverty, we have wealth.

  433. For weakness, we have his strength.

  434. For hatred, we have his love.

  435. For anxiety, we have peace of mind.

  436. For fear, we've got faith. And for

  437. sickness or sadness, we have joy.

  438. That is our DNA. That is your DNA.

  439. And when the reality of who we are

  440. really

  441. sets in

  442. and we realize what that spiritual DNA

  443. will enable us to do, it will cause us

  444. to live in a place of victory. Not just

  445. be up and down like a yo-yo. Having a

  446. good day today, yep, so you know, you're

  447. up. Tomorrow not so good, so you're

  448. going to be down in the valley. No, no,

  449. no, no, no. He's evened it out. He's

  450. evened it out. We can walk in a place

  451. Where's that place? It's in him.

  452. We can walk in a place of victory over

  453. sickness, disease, oppression,

  454. addiction, and whatever else the devil

  455. throws at us.

  456. You say, "Why and how?" Jesus said,

  457. "I am come

  458. that you might have life

  459. and have it more abundantly." He's

  460. talking about the God kind of life.

  461. The God kind of life, his life, his DNA

  462. in us.

  463. In Romans 8, the Apostle Paul said, "For

  464. the law of the spirit of life in Christ

  465. Jesus has set me free from the law of

  466. sin and death." I'm telling you, I

  467. cannot tell you how many times over the

  468. last years and years

  469. have symptoms tried to hit my body and

  470. if I will take about 30 minutes to an

  471. hour and shut myself away and listen to

  472. the word of God, healing scriptures,

  473. healing scriptures because the spirit of

  474. life in Christ Jesus sets me free from

  475. the law of sin and death and sickness.

  476. And I'll come out and I'll be just fine.

  477. So, there's something about his name.

  478. There's something about his word. Then

  479. Jesus said in Matthew 16, "I will give

  480. you keys of the kingdom of heaven.

  481. Whatever you bound will be bound.

  482. Whatever you loose will be loosed in

  483. heaven." He's given us keys. Keys. Now,

  484. I have keys to this building, but not

  485. everyone has keys.

  486. Our staff has the authority to have keys

  487. and they use them. But God has given us

  488. keys to use. What is that? Is our

  489. authority. He's given us authority in

  490. the name of Jesus. Power of attorney.

  491. Whatever you want to call it, we have

  492. authority over the power of the devil.

  493. That spiritual DNA will also

  494. enable us to go boldly

  495. into the presence of God

  496. 24/7,

  497. day or night, it doesn't matter.

  498. My daddy was a pastor and and

  499. I can remember going to the church

  500. during the day. He'd be in his office

  501. working and there was usually a

  502. secretary outside his office and but I

  503. didn't have to make an appointment to

  504. see my daddy

  505. because I was his daughter.

  506. We don't have to make appointments

  507. to spend time with him because we are

  508. his sons and his daughters. We can go

  509. boldly. In fact, one translation says we

  510. can go into his presence anytime with

  511. confidence, knowing who we are, with

  512. confidence and knowing we belong there.

  513. Is there's no condemnation? None

  514. whatsoever. He says come on in not

  515. because of our own goodness, but because

  516. of who he's made us to be. His spiritual

  517. DNA is in us. So, we go into his

  518. presence and Ephesians tells us we are

  519. seated with him

  520. seated with him in the heavenlies in

  521. Christ Jesus.

  522. I think sometimes we tend to forget that

  523. we have a seat, a reserved seat with our

  524. name on it.

  525. We just need to take our seat.

  526. Take your seat.

  527. You're seated with him in the

  528. heavenlies. Take your seat and don't let

  529. anything get you out of your seat.

  530. Seated with him. Seated with him. That's

  531. That is our place. We're not seated with

  532. We're not seated down here.

  533. We're not to look this way, but we're to

  534. look down on things because we are

  535. seated with him in the heavenlies.

  536. Naturally speaking

  537. um

  538. identity theft is a huge problem.

  539. And the devil will try to steal your

  540. identity.

  541. He doesn't want you knowing who you are.

  542. He wants you to doubt who you are. Uh if

  543. I can do this to them, they'll they'll

  544. go oh wow wow. No, don't let them steal

  545. your identity. I remember years ago I'd

  546. been speaking at a ladies conference in

  547. California.

  548. I'd finished and I'd gone to the

  549. airport. I was sitting at the gate. I

  550. had already checked in.

  551. Sitting at the gate waiting and um I set

  552. my purse down by my feet and was just uh

  553. reading. I don't even know what I was

  554. just sitting there and then when they

  555. began to call the rows for the for the

  556. flight, I looked down and my purse was

  557. gone.

  558. Gone. Still to this day I have no idea

  559. how someone got it from my feet. They

  560. said it was a professional. Somehow he

  561. was behind me, figured out how to pull

  562. it out. I don't know, but my purse was

  563. gone, my ID was gone, my credit cards

  564. were gone, my boarding pass was gone. I

  565. had these old photos that I had carried

  566. in my purse cuz they meant some meant

  567. were very special to me. Everything was

  568. gone. There was no sign of anything. So,

  569. I went up to the desk to the agent I

  570. said, "We have an issue here. My purse

  571. is gone. I have nothing."

  572. She said, "Well, I'm the one that

  573. checked you in. We don't have time for

  574. you to deal with it now. Get on the

  575. flight. When you get to Dallas, go to a

  576. phone and this and get a hold of your

  577. credit card company." So, I did.

  578. When I got to Dallas, went to a phone,

  579. called my credit card company and when

  580. they pulled it up, they said in a matter

  581. of however long it takes to get to

  582. Dallas, 3 hours,

  583. um

  584. he had put thousands

  585. thousands of dollars on my credit card.

  586. He tried to steal my identity.

  587. That's what the devil does.

  588. He'll be very sly. He'll just sneak in

  589. and and try to catch you off guard to

  590. steal your spiritual identity. Don't let

  591. him do it. Don't let him do it. I'll

  592. just I'll add this. I remember when I

  593. got home, you know, I was pretty like oh

  594. man, I can't believe this has happened

  595. to me. It never had happened before. So,

  596. I thought, you know what? I know what to

  597. do.

  598. I'm going to send my angels out.

  599. I wanted those photos back. I could care

  600. less about the purse. We'd stopped the

  601. credit card. I can get another ID, but I

  602. wanted those photos back.

  603. So, I sent my angels out to go find

  604. my photos.

  605. >> [sighs]

  606. >> I don't even remember how weeks and

  607. weeks and weeks It was like a couple

  608. months later. I got a phone call and I

  609. Looking back last night I was thinking

  610. about all of this remembering and I

  611. thought I don't even know who called me.

  612. It might have been the police. Um filed

  613. a report. I don't know, but I got a

  614. phone call from someone that said you

  615. Did you lose some photos? Did you I

  616. said, "Well, yeah." And they said they

  617. were found in some bushes on a college

  618. campus and someone one of the students

  619. turned them in.

  620. And they said, "Would you like them

  621. back?" I'm like, "Yes, I want my photos

  622. back." I didn't get anything back else

  623. back, but I got my photos and they

  624. mailed them to me. Miracle of miracles.

  625. But the devil was trying to steal my

  626. personal ID and he was also trying to

  627. steal my spiritual ID. So, um

  628. he's got specific ways that he'll do it.

  629. One way is through discouragement.

  630. It's discouragement. Um let me

  631. Let me look where I'm looking here.

  632. Discouragement.

  633. He'll make us believe we aren't who we

  634. are.

  635. And if we focus on if we focus on who we

  636. aren't

  637. instead of who we are, it will open the

  638. door to discouragement because

  639. discouragement gets our eyes off who we

  640. are and back on who we were.

  641. I'm going to say that again.

  642. Discouragement gets our eyes off of who

  643. we are and back on

  644. who we were. We don't have to live in

  645. the past. He doesn't want us to live in

  646. the past. Second Corinthians 5:17 says

    2 Corinthians 5:17

  647. we are a new creature in Christ. All

  648. things are passed away. Behold, all

  649. things are new. Our past, your past is

  650. gone forever. So, don't let Satan bring

  651. you down by reminding you of your past.

  652. God doesn't remember. So, why would we

  653. let Satan Why would we let Satan remind

  654. us about a person that doesn't exist

  655. anymore?

  656. Because we are a new creature. The New

  657. Living Translation says the old life is

  658. gone and a new life has begun. Keep your

  659. eyes on the word. Keep your eyes on the

  660. word and what God says about you. Also,

  661. another tactic that the devil will use

  662. is offense.

  663. If he can get us offended, it opens the

  664. door for unforgiveness and that's the

  665. opposite of the spiritual DNA that's on

  666. the inside of us because we have the

  667. love of God on the inside of us. But

  668. what happens is something happens

  669. we let it we get offended. It hurts our

  670. feelings or whatever. But let me just

  671. say this, we have to love our the word

  672. of God more than we love our feelings.

  673. Offense will lure us into a trap.

  674. And uh and then once that door closes,

  675. we're caught.

  676. Offense, getting offended. Jesus said

  677. this. He said speaking of the last days,

  678. many shall be offended. Many shall be

  679. offended and betray one another. We must

  680. not allow ourselves to be part of the

  681. many. It's a choice. And let me just say

  682. this, second-hand offense is just as

  683. bad.

  684. Your friend gets offended. Your friend

  685. comes and tells you what someone did or

  686. said and then you get offended at that

  687. person, too, because they offended your

  688. friend.

  689. Second-hand offense

  690. is hazardous to your health.

  691. Don't allow yourself to get offended, a

  692. second-hand offense. No. You choose to

  693. walk in that love of God because it will

  694. end up in a in a place of unforgiveness

  695. and then that's going to affect your

  696. faith. Your prayers aren't going to get

  697. answered. Your faith's not going to work

  698. all because you got offended. So, you

  699. see how the devil will endeavor to get

  700. you offended when you least expect it,

  701. by usually those closest to you, to keep

  702. your faith from working.

  703. To get you out of who you are.

  704. Paul said in Acts, "Herein do I exercise

  705. myself to have always a conscience void

  706. of offense towards God and towards man."

  707. You know, we get offended at people.

  708. Usually people closest to us. We get

  709. offended. We We just something happens.

  710. You something is said that shouldn't

  711. have been said or you get your feelings

  712. hurt. We get offended, but you know

  713. what? A lot of people get offended at

  714. God

  715. because they blame God for something

  716. that happened that he had absolutely

  717. nothing to do with.

  718. Keep it straight. The devil steals,

  719. kills, and destroys. Jesus said, "I came

  720. that you might have life." Make sure

  721. you're not offended at God. We know

  722. people that have gone through life

  723. offended, ticked

  724. at God because they blame him for

  725. someone that died.

  726. When he it

  727. God had nothing to do with it. God's

  728. into life. So, we need to keep it

  729. straight.

  730. Psalms 119, "Great peace have they which

  731. love thy law and nothing shall offend

  732. them."

  733. That is a verse I got hold of shortly

  734. after we got married. I won't go into

  735. the story now cuz we're running late,

  736. but you all know my You all know my my

  737. mowing machine story.

  738. Oh, you don't know my mow Who doesn't

  739. has never heard my mowing machine story?

  740. Raise your hands. If you've never heard

  741. my mowing machine story. Okay, that's

  742. that's enough to I'll tell it really

  743. really really really quick.

  744. Do you give me an extra 5 minutes? Give

  745. me a

  746. Raise your hand if you give me an extra

  747. 5 minutes. Okay, that's about another

  748. hour. So, good. We're good.

  749. >> [laughter]

  750. >> So, we hadn't been married very long and

  751. we were driving everywhere we were

  752. going. We were on our way to Michigan to

  753. minister and we stopped in Rolla at the

  754. Wendy's. Back in those days Wendy's had

  755. salad bars and we ate there a lot. And

  756. so, we were sitting there and again, you

  757. know, hadn't been married very long.

  758. We're sitting there eating our salad,

  759. sitting there and and I'm just eating my

  760. salad. All of a sudden, he says to me,

  761. "You're going through that salad like a

  762. mowing machine."

  763. >> [laughter]

  764. >> And I remember, I thought, "What did he

  765. just say?"

  766. But I didn't say anything.

  767. Tears

  768. started coming down my cheeks, dropping

  769. into my salad, and I slowed down a

  770. little bit.

  771. But I thought, my my new husband thinks

  772. I'm a mowing machine.

  773. That is the worst thing he could have

  774. ever said. You know, I wanted him to

  775. think I'm just this wonderful wife. He's

  776. so happy he found He says, "I'm going

  777. through a salad like a mowing machine?"

  778. I couldn't think of anything mean to say

  779. back to him.

  780. But today I could, probably.

  781. Something about how slow he eats. I'm

  782. still the mowing machine, and I got to

  783. come up with something for him. No, we

  784. got in the car and we continued our

  785. drive to Michigan, and it was really

  786. quiet.

  787. Really quiet for hours, and he's like,

  788. "Something wrong? Did I say something

  789. wrong?" I'm like, "What?

  790. Come on, man. Don't be so clueless."

  791. Then yeah, you told me I was a mowing

  792. machine. So, we had to work that out.

  793. But shortly after that incident, I

  794. thought, "You know what? I I was very

  795. sensitive when we got married. I just

  796. was. And so

  797. And so I'd made a decision that, "You

  798. know what? I got to get I got to get it

  799. together in this in this area." So, I

  800. found that verse, "Great peace have they

  801. which love thy law, and nothing shall

  802. offend them." I have lived by that verse

  803. for 47 years. I live by No, am I Do I

  804. always hit it? No, maybe not quite, but

  805. I try. I will not be offended. I will

  806. not allow myself to be offended, because

  807. if I get offended, it opens the door for

  808. unforgiveness, and then it opens the

  809. word the door for every evil work. So,

  810. if you're married, you might want to

  811. remember that verse, Psalms 190. If

  812. you're not married, you really want to

  813. remember that verse.

  814. So, and then one other area, and we're

  815. going to close. One area

  816. that will steal your identity, that the

  817. devil will use. So, he'll use

  818. uh what we've talked about so far, but

  819. he will use

  820. your mouth.

  821. He'll use your mouth to steal your own

  822. identity.

  823. When we took the DNA test, we had to

  824. spit

  825. inside of a little tube.

  826. And they then we send it off with our

  827. saliva from our mouth in that tube.

  828. When we tested Atlas,

  829. do you know how we had to test his DNA?

  830. We had to swab

  831. the inside of his mouth.

  832. Your mouth will reveal your natural DNA,

  833. and your mouth will reveal your

  834. spiritual DNA.

  835. What are we saying? Are we saying who we

  836. are, or we saying who we were?

  837. Jesus asked his disciples, "Who do you

  838. say that I am?" So, I ask you today, who

  839. do you say you are? Who do you say you

  840. are? Who are you saying Who are your

  841. words agreeing with? God, what he says

  842. about your situation, or what's

  843. happening? Make sure your words are

  844. lining up with what God says about you,

  845. who you are, who you are. We have to

  846. make sure our words are powerful. Our

  847. words will either

  848. mess us up, or our words will set us

  849. free. Make sure your words agree with

  850. what he says, and remember that anything

  851. the devil tells you,

  852. anything, a thought, whatever, anything

  853. the devil tells you, if it doesn't line

  854. up with the word of God, it's a lie.

  855. It's not coming from God, because he is,

  856. the Bible says, the father of lies. He

  857. cannot tell the truth. There is no truth

  858. in him. So, recognize the difference. If

  859. a thought comes that says, "You're going

  860. to die early," nip it in the bud.

  861. Don't believe it. Don't agree with it.

  862. Say out of your mouth, "With long life

  863. WITH LONG LIFE

  864. YOU'LL SATISFY me

  865. and show me your salvation."

  866. Get your mouth moving. Get your mouth

  867. moving. Your mouth will reveal your DNA

  868. spiritually. We have to be bold to

  869. declare who we are, who we are, our ID,

  870. who we are I I our

  871. DNA, our identity in him. And so, before

  872. we go, I want us to do one thing. We're

  873. going to put it up on the screen. Go

  874. ahead and put it up there. We're going

  875. to put it up on the screen the ABCs of

  876. being in Christ. And so, we're going to

  877. go through them together. Woo! Can you

  878. read those?

  879. Okay, I want you to stand up. Change

  880. your position. The ABCs of being in

  881. Christ. At the Let's read them out loud

  882. together. This tells you who you are,

  883. who we are in him. Here we go. I am able

  884. to do all things through Christ. I am

  885. blessed by the Lord in all things. I am

  886. personally chosen by God. I am delivered

  887. from Satan's kingdom. I am enriched in

  888. everything. I am favored by God. I am

  889. guided by the Holy Spirit. I am healed

  890. by the stripes of Jesus. I am made in

  891. the image of God. I am full of the joy

  892. of the Lord. I am kept by the power of

  893. God. I am satisfied with long life. I

  894. have mountain-moving faith in my life.

  895. I am made new in Christ. I am an

  896. overcomer in Christ. I am protected in

  897. Christ. I am qualified to be an heir of

  898. God. I am redeemed from the curse of the

  899. law. I have a sound mind in Christ. I am

  900. triumphant in Christ. I am united with

  901. Christ. I am victorious over sin and

  902. death. I am washed by the blood of the

  903. lamb. I am becoming exactly who God

  904. created me to be. My yoke is easy in

  905. Christ. I am zealous OF GOOD WORKS.

  906. OKAY, I CAN READ YOUR MIND. OH, I wish I

  907. had a copy of there. There's a QR code.

  908. If you If you download the QR code or

  909. focus on the QR code,

  910. uh it will take you to our website, and

  911. then all you have to do is download it

  912. off our website, and it will go on your

  913. device. So,

  914. if y'all want it, this I keep this in my

  915. Bible. I go over this on a very regular

  916. basis, daily basis, just because it puts

  917. me in remembrance of who I am.

  918. Don't ever get to where I know who I am.

  919. Yeah, I know who I am. No, it's good

  920. that you know who you are, but remind

  921. yourself, and remind the devil. Say it

  922. out loud with the words of your mouth.

  923. So, if you want it there, if you don't

  924. know how to do that, or you don't have a

  925. device with you, you can go by the

  926. Connect Center. We printed some off for

  927. you. You can grab a hard color copy if

  928. you would prefer. But right now,

  929. let's pray.

  930. Father, I thank you.

  931. I thank you for your word that tells us

  932. who we are.

  933. We're so grateful for the name.

  934. We're so grateful for your word.

  935. We're so grateful for our spiritual DNA

  936. that supersedes our natural DNA. We're

  937. so thankful that in you in you we have

  938. life. In you we have healing. In you we

  939. can walk in victory in every situation.

  940. We take our seat with you in the

  941. heavenlies. That is our place. Devil

  942. can't get us out of our place, but we

  943. thank you for it.

  944. The plan of redemption for

  945. the ages.

  946. Thank you for making us a child of

  947. yours. A [snorts] child of yours. A

  948. child of yours.

  949. Hallelujah. I want to ask a quick

  950. question before we go. Is there anyone

  951. under the sound of my voice or online

  952. that you say, "You know what? I want to

  953. be a child of God. I want that

  954. spiritual supernatural DNA on the

  955. inside. I've never made that decision.

  956. I've never made that step." But if

  957. that's you, or if you'd say, "Yeah, I I

  958. did that when I was a kid, and I walked

  959. away.

  960. >> [music]

  961. >> I walked away. I'm not I need to return

  962. home to Father's house." If that's you,

  963. I want I want a hand. I want to see a

  964. hand. If it's either one of those, if

  965. you've never received Jesus, you need

  966. that supernatural spiritual DNA change,

  967. um

  968. or if you um have

  969. have never or you need to come back home

  970. to Father's house, so to speak.

  971. Okay, I see that hand. Is there anyone

  972. else?

  973. I'm going to open it up right now,

  974. because we're going to not going to

  975. embarrass you. Not going to ask you to

  976. to speak to you know, say anything

  977. publicly. Of course, I would never do

  978. that. But if you'll come up,

  979. we're just going to have you go with

  980. this couple on the front row, and

  981. they're just going to take you right

  982. outside the doors, just so that you can

  983. um

  984. the lead you to Jesus, and pray a prayer

  985. with them, so that you know that you

  986. know that you know. Yes, come on, dear.

  987. Yay!

  988. Is there anybody else that you want to

  989. say, "I'm coming to I'm coming to I'll

  990. follow"? Maybe you've walked away. If

  991. you've walked away, come on back home.

  992. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on.

  993. Anybody else? We'll wait here about 30

  994. seconds for you. Anybody else?

  995. >> [laughter]
