  1. communion this morning as a family and

  2. uh I'm going to start out with excuse me

  3. start out with a couple verses and um

  4. everybody does it a little bit

  5. differently. There's a church that we,

  6. you know, we've we haven't been there

  7. for years now, but uh we know the

  8. pastors and and uh uh they were it was a

  9. large church and they were doing uh dual

  10. morning Sunday morning services. And

  11. last time we were there, the the 8:00 or

  12. 8:30, whatever morning service. Uh they

  13. the first service they always did a

  14. normal service, but at the end of the

  15. morning first service, they always

  16. received communion as a family. Then

  17. they went into the second service.

  18. Everybody does a little different. I'm

  19. thinking, was it Smith Wigglesworth that

  20. got up and took communion every morning?

  21. Did Did I get the Was that right? Well,

  22. you know, everybody just chooses what

  23. they're going to do. And I've studied to

  24. try to find out what the what the system

  25. in this was. And best I could find was

  26. the Apostle Paul wrote to the

  27. Corinthians and he said verse 11 23, for

  28. I've received of the Lord that which I

  29. also declared unto you. Okay. So,

  30. apparently this this what he's about to

  31. talk about must be a really important

  32. thing because he didn't say I saw Jesus

  33. do this. He didn't say I was sitting at

  34. the at the last supper with Jesus and

  35. the disciples. Paul wasn't around for

  36. that yet. But he did say this was must

  37. be so important that I received of the

  38. Lord

  39. a voice, a vision, a visitation, an

  40. angelic v. I don't know. We don't know

  41. exactly. But he said, "I've received of

  42. the Lord that which I also I delivered

  43. unto you that the Lord Jesus the same

  44. night in which he was betrayed took

  45. bread." He Paul wasn't there, but God

  46. showed that to him. This must be really

  47. something really important. And what was

  48. it? He said, um, and when he'd given

  49. thanks, he broke it and he said, "Take,

  50. eat. This is my body which is broken for

  51. you." Uh, this do in remembrance of me.

  52. For after um after the same manner, he

  53. also took the cup when he had sucked,

  54. saying, "This cup is the new testament

  55. in my blood. This do you as often as you

  56. drink it." uh and in the in remembrance

  57. of me. So he's talking about what we'd

  58. call communion. He's talking about the

  59. last supper. He's talking about Jesus

  60. last supper with his disciples, the

  61. night in which he was betrayed. And

  62. isn't it interesting? He didn't act like

  63. this was not that big a deal. It was not

  64. that important. This was so good that

  65. God showed it to him later on. The

  66. Apostle Paul, he said, "I received of

  67. the Lord that which I also delivered

  68. unto you." In other words, he gave it to

  69. me and I'm giving it to you and I'm

  70. reminding you of that. I'm going to talk

  71. to you about it. And then he says in

  72. verse 26, "For as often as you eat this

  73. bread and drink this cup, you do show

  74. the Lord's death until he comes." Yeah.

  75. Every time we receive communion, we're

  76. prophesying Jesus came the first time.

  77. And I'm enjoying the benefits of

  78. redemption. But he's coming. Every time

  79. we receive communion, we do show the

  80. Lord's death till he comes. We're

  81. prophesying. We're predicting he came

  82. the first time and he's coming the

  83. second time.

  84. >> We're just letting the world know. We're

  85. letting the church know. believe that

  86. the redeemer that came the first time to

  87. redeem us is coming back to pick us up

  88. and take us home. And so anyway,

  89. Paul's writing this, but isn't it

  90. interesting? He didn't say, "Do this

  91. every week. Do this every month. Do this

  92. every fifth." Now, we normally around

  93. here do the you we receive communion on

  94. the when we have a fifth Sunday just

  95. because that's what just seemed good for

  96. us to do. But Paul Paul said as often as

  97. you do this. He didn't say do it this

  98. much, do it this often. He didn't he

  99. didn't give us a a a strict guideline on

  100. this thing. As often as you do this, you

  101. do show the Lord's death till he comes.

  102. In other words, whatever seems good to

  103. you, just do it. If you want to do it

  104. every Sunday, do it. If you want to do

  105. it once a month, do it. Whatever. Just

  106. find what works for you. And so, um, so

  107. we were actually just about a week week

  108. and a half ago, Pastor Jen and I were

  109. talking. We said, "Well, we we get back

  110. uh we got I don't know, we got in at I

  111. don't know 10 10:30, something like

  112. that, Friday night." And so we were kind

  113. of reorganizing yesterday and said,

  114. "Let's do let's have a good churchwide

  115. communion service. It's been a little

  116. while since we've had one, but it's so

  117. it must be important or the Lord Jesus

  118. would not have given that to Paul to

  119. give to the church even after he's gone.

  120. It's good for us." And as often as we do

  121. this, we do show the Lord's death till

  122. he comes. But um I was actually letting

  123. this roll around yesterday on the one of

  124. the flights on the way home or Friday

  125. and uh um I was thinking about the fact

  126. that you know we we we you know if we

  127. don't watch it we let something like

  128. this turn into a just a ritual. Well,

  129. it's just time for communion. That's

  130. just what you do every fifth Sunday or

  131. you do every you know once a month or

  132. whatever. It's bigger than that. It's

  133. more than that. And and it just rolled

  134. rolls up on the inside of me. I I

  135. remembered um there was a family that

  136. came to the church a number of years

  137. ago. They they actually came pretty

  138. sporadically, but uh I can remember one

  139. time we were going to have we you know

  140. we had announced we're going to have a

  141. communion service and the the u the the

  142. the father the husband uh he said uh saw

  143. him at after church. I said, "Well, good

  144. to see you, whoever you are." But

  145. anyway, no, I I didn't I didn't he

  146. actually is a friend has been for a long

  147. time. But um uh you know I I said he

  148. said I I he said I I I uh I pulled my

  149. back out this week. He said I couldn't

  150. function doing anything. And he said I

  151. he said all of a sudden I I heard you're

  152. having a communion service at church.

  153. And I thought I'm going to church and

  154. I'm going to get my healing because

  155. there's healing in communion. And I said

  156. well did it work? He said yeah during

  157. the communion service he said my back

  158. healed up. I'm perfectly healed and went

  159. back to work the next day. See, there

  160. there's more to it when we start

  161. receiving communion.

  162. There's more to it than just the the the

  163. the the cup, the bread. You know, we we

  164. understand the importance of that. And

  165. it's important that we understand that.

  166. You know, we know Paul said, "For this

  167. cause many are weak and sickly among

  168. you, and many sleep. Many die early, not

  169. rightly discerning the body of Christ."

  170. In other words, if we don't understand

  171. that his body was broken for me so my

  172. body could be made well, that can cause

  173. my body to get sick, stay sick, and

  174. maybe send me home early. There's

  175. something important about understanding

  176. that it wasn't just his blood that was

  177. shed for my new birth. His body was

  178. broken, so mine doesn't have to be.

  179. >> Doesn't matter how bad mine got. It

  180. doesn't matter what sickness there is,

  181. what disease there was, doesn't make any

  182. difference. However bad it got, Jesus'

  183. body was broken. So mine doesn't have to

  184. be.

  185. >> And so anyway,

  186. going back through there, I was thinking

  187. about that and I thought I was thinking

  188. about this man that that uh you know, he

  189. didn't go to church all that often. Last

  190. I knew still doesn't go to church that

  191. often. But one thing about it, he knew

  192. when there's going to be a communion

  193. service because he knew he could go get

  194. healing in his body. Somehow he got

  195. that. There's a guy, I couldn't even

  196. tell you his name right now. There's a

  197. guy used to be on Christian TV. He was

  198. quite a character. um he he's he's left

  199. and I think gone to heaven, but he uh um

  200. I'm pretty sure, but anyway, uh you

  201. know, but his he he'd get on and and

  202. teach on a regular basis and um you

  203. know, he'd he'd put wear a big hat and

  204. smoke a cigar and and uh

  205. >> Jean Scott, thank you. Anyway, never met

  206. him. Don't know anything about him, but

  207. anyway. Anyway, but his message, that

  208. guy could te he could teach covenant and

  209. redemption and communion better than

  210. anybody I've ever heard. I mean, he

  211. could just he could just spend hours

  212. just teaching on TV and lay it out there

  213. where you go, man, I just want to go

  214. take communion right now, somebody

  215. because he he has such a confidence in

  216. that, you know, that and cigars. But

  217. anyway, um

  218. I he's he's on the other side. I can

  219. pick on him now. But uh you know but but

  220. the bottom line is um you know go going

  221. back through there um I was thinking

  222. about that and then I thought you know

  223. if we go back really to the to the the

  224. origin the origin technically of of what

  225. we think about as communion. we go back.

  226. Best thing we can think of is when

  227. everything got its start was back there

  228. in Exodus the technically when uh

  229. Genesis 15th chapter where God spoke to

  230. Abram about a covenant and he you know

  231. basically he said uh your people will go

  232. into a foreign land they'll serve

  233. another people it's not their place

  234. they'll be slaves in that land for 400

  235. years and then I'll deliver them with

  236. great substance and he really really

  237. prophesied to to Abram about a covenant

  238. he was raising up with him. And he said,

  239. "You might as well get ready for the

  240. fact that your people are going to go

  241. into a foreign land, actually into the

  242. land of Egypt. They're going to go in

  243. there." And when it started out, it was

  244. going to be real good. Ended up was

  245. going to be real bad. They're going to

  246. be slaves in another land. They're going

  247. to build houses and somebody else is

  248. going to live in them. They're going to

  249. raise crops and somebody else is going

  250. to eat them. They're going to live in

  251. tents and somebody else going to have to

  252. take care of them. And there's going to

  253. be about somewhere between, best I can

  254. tell, two and a half to three million

  255. Israelites there. I mean, how do you

  256. control a nation of two and a half to

  257. three million people in a land like

  258. that? I don't know, but they did it. And

  259. so, you got Israel in the bondage of

  260. Egypt there for 430 years. And then you

  261. go to the second chapter of the book of

  262. Exodus and said the people got sick and

  263. tired of being sick and tired.

  264. >> It'd been 430 years. And they began to

  265. cry out to God by reason of their

  266. bondage. And God heard their cry,

  267. remembered his co. He hadn't forgotten

  268. his covenant, but he said, "Put me in

  269. remembrance, sayeth God. Let us plead

  270. together. Declare thou that thou mayest

  271. be justified. He was waiting for

  272. somebody to remind him.

  273. >> Funny how that works that way. Are we

  274. reminding him of what he said to us?

  275. >> We He needs He needs us to remind Lord.

  276. You said in your word, by Jesus stripes

  277. I was healed.

  278. >> You said it. I didn't come up with idea

  279. this idea. You did it long before I got

  280. here. You said my God supplies all my

  281. need. You said that. I'm putting I am

  282. putting you in remembrance. You said,

  283. "No weapon formed against me can

  284. prosper. Since God be for me, who can be

  285. against me?" You said it in your word.

  286. You said it all the way through the

  287. scriptures.

  288. >> And so anyway, so we see back there that

  289. that um uh Israel began to cry out to

  290. God. Second chapter of the book, end of

  291. the second chapter of the uh of Exodus,

  292. began to cry out to God by reason of

  293. their bondage. God heard their cry,

  294. remembered their the covenant,

  295. remembered what he said to Abram, and he

  296. went out in the backside of the desert

  297. and find a guy that was backslid out

  298. there. He'd killed a guy, got ready to

  299. kill another one, ran for his life. He's

  300. out there. He's gone from the top place

  301. in the kingdom of of uh uh Egypt. Now

  302. he's out there just taking care of sheep

  303. out in the desert. But God knew who knew

  304. the hand of God on him. Sometimes we

  305. just need to know it's not over till

  306. it's over.

  307. >> I made some mistakes. Well, join the

  308. human race. done some stupid things,

  309. join the human race. Done some bad

  310. things, hurt some people, join the human

  311. race. That's why there's forgiveness.

  312. >> Hallelujah.

  313. >> 1 John 1:9, we know from the scriptures,

    1 John 1:9

  314. we confess our sins, he's

  315. >> faithful and just to forgive us our

  316. sins.

  317. >> Heard somebody say one time, "Well,

  318. that's really not for the church. That's

  319. for, you know, somebody else." And I

  320. said, "Well, funny thing was, last I

  321. checked, John was born again.

  322. 1 John 1:9, if we confess our sins, he's

    1 John 1:9

  323. not talking about that somebody else.

  324. He's talking about him and everybody

  325. else. That's extra. But anyway,

  326. anyway, where was I? Anyway, and so, uh,

  327. he goes out there and, you know, and

  328. then the angel of the Lord appears to

  329. to, uh, Moses out there in the burning

  330. bush and he calls him and he equips him

  331. with signs, wonders, and miracles and

  332. sends him in and he becomes a deliverer

  333. and a judge for the nation of Israel.

  334. You got two and a half to three million

  335. people in there in bondage. They're

  336. getting sick, poor, sorry. They're

  337. getting beat up, beat down, everything

  338. else. But God sends a deliverer in

  339. there. Okay? And so when he does that,

  340. we look back there and and uh uh

  341. they Moses goes in there before Pharaoh

  342. and says, "Let God's people go." And he

  343. goes, "No, I don't think so. I have two

  344. and a half to three million free slaves.

  345. I'm not going to let them go and try to

  346. get somebody I got to pay." No, I'm not

  347. going to let them go. He said, "You you

  348. really might better do it." And Pharaoh

  349. wouldn't do it. So, next thing you know,

  350. here comes the plague. And he said, "I'm

  351. still not going to let him go. Here

  352. comes another one. Not going to let him

  353. go. Here comes lice. Oo, not going to

  354. let him go. Here comes frogs. Not going

  355. to let him go. Here comes stinky dead

  356. fish. Not going to I mean, they went

  357. they went plague after plague after

  358. plague after plague after plague. And

  359. then the sorcerers are they're trying to

  360. repeat the same things. And to a degree,

  361. they could do some of that. Finally, God

  362. said, "Okay, enough's enough. I got one

  363. more. I got one more. And when I do this

  364. one, when I do this one, Pharaoh's going

  365. to let my people go. Moses said, "Okay,

  366. let's do it." He said, "I Moses went and

  367. told him, said, there's one more coming.

  368. You really might better do yourself a

  369. favor." Said, "I'm not going to do it."

  370. And so God said, "Tell everybody in the

  371. nation of Israel." We won't go back. Of

  372. course, that's a whole another, you

  373. know, weekl long story about all that.

  374. But he, uh, he said he he said to, um,

  375. uh,

  376. anyway, um,

  377. somebody messed my clock up.

  378. They keep telling me not to look at it.

  379. But anyway, um, you know, so, so, uh,

  380. get myself back where I was. And so you

  381. got, um, Israel's in the bondage of

  382. Egypt, and you got Moses in there, and

  383. you got all the plagues that have come.

  384. And God says, "There's one more coming."

  385. And he said, "Tell every family to get a

  386. lamb.

  387. >> Tell every family to get a lamb." You

  388. know, if if the family's not big enough,

  389. have them just get with their neighbors

  390. and they'll have they'll they'll they'll

  391. share one. But every family every a lamb

  392. for a house. A lamb for a house. Nobody

  393. gets in on there's no freebie on this

  394. thing.

  395. Okay. Well, I'm just going to ride in on

  396. somebody else's coattail. I'm going to

  397. get it by osmosis. No, there's a family

  398. for a house, a lamb for a family. So he

  399. told him about that and he said and take

  400. that shortcut on all this he told him he

  401. said take that and when I tell you to uh

  402. I think it's between the the seventh and

  403. the ninth hours between the third and

  404. fifth hours of the day I'm going to tell

  405. you to take that lamb and kill the lamb

  406. every family does kill the lamb the lamb

  407. the lamb will die when it does take the

  408. blood of that lamb and put the blood on

  409. the doorposts put it where on the two

  410. side post and on the doorpost. What's

  411. that? It's a God's trying to show them

  412. the cross back there a couple thousand

  413. years before Jesus came to die on the

  414. cross. What's he doing? He's showing

  415. them redemption. He's showing and

  416. they're having they're going to have a

  417. communion service. He said, "Take the

  418. blood of that lamb. Drain the blood out.

  419. Put it on the two side post and don't

  420. put it on the floor. I don't want

  421. anything under my feet."

  422. Okay? It's not it's not going to be on

  423. the floor of these houses. Put it on the

  424. two side post. Put it on the upper

  425. doorpost. And at at night, stay behind

  426. the blood.

  427. Stay behind the blood because at night,

  428. death's going to pass through. And the

  429. the firstborn of every family,

  430. animal, plant,

  431. human, the firstborn of every family,

  432. death is going to strike and take the

  433. first one out. And u death's going to

  434. come through. But every time death goes

  435. by and sees the blood, death will pass

  436. over.

  437. >> That's good.

  438. >> Death will pass over.

  439. And so he said, "And he said," then when

  440. you after you do, no, we don't want to

  441. stop there. God's not done. God's not a

  442. halfway redeemer.

  443. >> Come on.

  444. >> He didn't say, "We'll take care of you.

  445. I'll get you out of there. You'll be

  446. miserable, but I'll get you out." No. He

  447. did say in the 91st Psalm, with long

  448. life, I'll satis God wants life to be

  449. satisfying.

  450. So he says, uh, you just tell them when

  451. they do that, then take of the body of

  452. that lamb. You've drained the blood,

  453. you've killed the lamb, the price has

  454. been paid, the blood's on the doorpost.

  455. Death's going to go by, it's going to

  456. pass by your place if the blood's on

  457. your doorpost. But when you do, before

  458. the afternoon, the evening is over, take

  459. that animal and roast it. Don't boil it.

  460. Roast it with fire.

  461. >> Whole another story in that. We don't

  462. have time, but roast that body and um do

  463. it with the head, the legs, the

  464. pertinance there. In other words, roast

  465. that body and then partake. After you've

  466. put the blood on the doorpost, then

  467. partake of the body.

  468. You got the blood to get you out. You

  469. got the body to Why? Why are you going

  470. to take care of the body?

  471. If you follow this through, he says,

  472. "When you partake of that, get ready

  473. because the next morning, put your shoes

  474. on your feet, your staff in your hand.

  475. get ready to go because you're getting

  476. out of this place.

  477. >> And when you get to the 105th Psalm,

  478. 37th verse, God says back there, he says

  479. he brought them forth.

  480. >> Brought them forth with silver and gold.

  481. And now remember, there's two and a half

  482. to three million. Best we can tell. Lot

  483. of different opinions, but you know, we

  484. know who's right. Anyway, two and a half

  485. to three million Israelites. They're

  486. going to go out free. Death's going to

  487. pass over. So, it's not going to take

  488. any of their family. But he didn't say,

  489. you know, put all the sick and the lame

  490. and the diseased in the carts and get

  491. horses and oxen and get ways to to drag

  492. them on out of this place. No, he said,

  493. when you go to bed at night, you make

  494. sure you partake of that body. And if

  495. there's anything left, roast it with

  496. fire, burn it because we don't want

  497. anything left. We want to make sure we

  498. make good use of this body because

  499. there's a price being paid. When you

  500. partake of this body, when you do that,

  501. the lamb,

  502. the blood will get them out. But what

  503. about the body? When you do that, put

  504. your shoes on your Well, what if what if

  505. you can't walk? Put your shoes on your

  506. feet anyway.

  507. >> What if you can't get around? Put your

  508. shoes on your feet. Put your staff in

  509. your hand. Why? That's so you can walk

  510. fast. Why do you need all that? Why?

  511. Because you're getting out of here. And

  512. the Bible said 105th Psalm 37th verse,

  513. he brought them forth with silver and

  514. gold. And there was not one feeble

  515. person among their tribes.

  516. Got 12 tribes. Not a sick, not a lame,

  517. not a broke. He didn't say get all your

  518. bottles of medicine. Get all the No, he

  519. didn't say wasn't against it. He just

  520. said you're not If you partake of the

  521. blood, you're going out. If you partake

  522. of the body, you're going out healthy.

  523. >> He brought them forth with silver and

  524. gold. There was not one feeble person

  525. among their tribes.

  526. >> Not one. Think about that. Three and a

  527. half. Can you imagine? Tulsa's what?

  528. 750,000 people. Can you imagine the city

  529. of Tulsa? Three times the size of what

  530. we are with not one sick person in the

  531. whole place.

  532. >> They didn't have medicine. They didn't

  533. have doctors. They didn't have they

  534. didn't have anything back there. All

  535. they had was a lamb.

  536. And I was thinking about that Friday on

  537. the plane. I thought, you know what

  538. happened? Communion wasn't supposed to

  539. be just a time when you get together and

  540. take some of the cup and take some of

  541. the bread, go back to your seat and make

  542. sure you're not in unforgiveness for

  543. somebody and and and try to stay awake

  544. and and then we're going to all partake

  545. of it and we're all going to go. It's

  546. bigger than that. If this this guy

  547. that's not even consistently going to

  548. church says, "I'm going to go cuz

  549. there's healing." when they're having

  550. communion, my goodness, when we have a

  551. communion service, it shouldn't be,

  552. well, let's just get together and have

  553. have some bread and some cup. No, it

  554. should be, let's go get the healing

  555. power of the Lord Jesus in our bodies.

  556. >> Let's go get the benefits of redemption.

  557. Let's get the healing power of Jesus

  558. from the top of our head to the soles of

  559. our feet. My goodness, if we got 300,

  560. 350 in here, why shouldn't we have a 350

  561. member of healing class in here with

  562. anybody getting any sick in there, but

  563. anywhere in their body, if it's going in

  564. your body, it ought to go out of your

  565. body.

  566. >> Hallelujah. Glory to God. I haven't even

  567. got to my message yet, but we we need to

  568. get to our feet because we got to

  569. receive communion.

  570. >> Hallelujah. Is there more to it than

  571. that? Oh, absolutely. Yes, there is. If

  572. we had time,

  573. >> halal,

  574. >> healing,

  575. >> healing. So when we when we when we

  576. partake of communion, when we take of

  577. the the the the symbols of the of the

  578. the body, broken body, shed blood of

  579. Jesus, put your faith on that.

  580. >> Put your faith on that. Say, "Lord, I'm

  581. going. I'm going. You paid the price for

  582. my sin. You paid the price for my

  583. sickness. I'm going to receive the

  584. benefits of that. And I'm taking my I'm

  585. >> I'm taking mine today.

  586. >> I'm taking mine. I'm not Why? Why do you

  587. remember the lepers?

  588. >> Said, "Why sit we here till we die?"

  589. >> They were lepers unclean under the law.

  590. They said, "Why sit we here till we die?

  591. Let's just go into the to the Syrian

  592. camp and see if we can get something

  593. from them." They got there and God had

  594. driven them all out. They killed each

  595. other off. They said, "Why sit? Why I

  596. think in our in our Christian mentality,

  597. why sit here till we die? Why sit we

  598. here until nothing works? Why sit we

  599. here until something Why Why sit we here

  600. when the diagnosis, the prognosis? Why

  601. sit we here when when nothing's working?

  602. Why don't we tap into something that's

  603. supposed to work?

  604. >> Hallelujah. This whole thing started in

  605. this this whole thing started in the

  606. really the 12th chapter of the book of

  607. Exodus when God told him just take a

  608. lamb,

  609. kill it. Well, why should they kill a

  610. lamb? Because it's a picture of the one

  611. who died for us.

  612. >> What should they do with the blood? Put

  613. it on your life.

  614. >> Like a cross. Put it Why should they do

  615. that? Because that's what God did for

  616. us.

  617. >> What should they do with the body?

  618. Partake of that. How do you partake of

  619. it? With your mouth.

  620. >> I'm going to get my healing.

  621. >> Yeah, but you don't know how bad it is.

  622. Well, I don't have to, but I know how

  623. good God is.

  624. >> Hallelujah. Glory. Let's all stand to

  625. our feet.

  626. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

  627. Glory to God. Now, this, you know, this

  628. is the time, you know, if we're going to

  629. partake of the blessing of God, the shed

  630. blood, the broken body, first thing we

  631. want to do is make sure we qualify.

  632. Well, I'm born again, I qualify. Yeah.

  633. But, you know, you know, if you read

  634. Mark the 11th chapter, verse 25, God

  635. says back there, if you're going to ask,

  636. ask in faith. He said, 'If you're going

  637. to do that, make sure you don't have any

  638. ill will or animosity towards somebody

  639. else. This is a good time to keep the

  640. pipes cleaned out. This is a good time

  641. to make sure I'm not holding anything

  642. against anybody. Well, somebody's hurt

  643. me. Well, you probably hurt a few

  644. yourself. That's got nothing to do with

  645. it. Sometimes it's just a matter of you

  646. just got to let it go. Yeah, but you

  647. don't know what they did. Don't know

  648. what they did. Don't care what they did.

  649. But why let it ruin you?

  650. >> So you can hang on to that. Shake it

  651. off. shake it off.

  652. When we went on one part of Pastor

  653. Janet's uh birthy year trips

  654. and uh you know we we we landed at the

  655. island of Malta. Malta is Malita. What's

  656. Malita? Well, read your Bible and find

  657. out. Anyway, no, that's where Paul was

  658. shipwrecked.

  659. It's where he was shipwrecked. And they

  660. built a fire and a viper came out of the

  661. fire and latched on to him, you know,

  662. and and everybody thought he's going to

  663. fall over dead. Thought he must be a bad

  664. guy. The vip the snakes have got him.

  665. But the Bible said he shook it off.

  666. >> You know, sometimes you just need to

  667. shake things off in the fire.

  668. >> Yeah, but you don't know how bad this

  669. is. Yeah, but I know how good the fire

  670. is. Sometimes you just got to shake

  671. things off and shake it off in the fire.

  672. Yeah, but I got bit by something. Shake

  673. it off in the fire.

  674. Yeah, but it's your doctor said this.

  675. Well, that's fine. They're telling you

  676. what it's like naturally. Do something

  677. spiritually. Shake it off. Do like Paul.

  678. >> He didn't have any snake medicine. He

  679. just shook it off in the fire and went

  680. on. Got in the next boat, went to uh

  681. Rome and and appealed to Caesar. Preach

  682. the gospel to the very head of the

  683. spiritual world. Well, what did he do?

  684. He just shook it off. Sometimes we need

  685. to shake things off.

  686. >> Yeah, but things are bad. I don't

  687. Doesn't matter. Doesn't does not matter.

  688. Don't make it bad. Don't make it worse.

  689. Shake them. Shake it off.

  690. >> Sometimes we ought to have a shaken off

  691. service.

  692. >> Shake it off.

  693. >> You know,

  694. >> yeah, but I deserve No, you don't

  695. deserve anything. If you got what you

  696. deserve, well, we know what that would

  697. be.

  698. >> That's hot.

  699. >> I got to get going. Hallelujah. Glory to

  700. God. Hallelujah. Praise God. Praise God.

  701. Praise God. Well, we've got we've got

  702. our emblems and now we need our our our

  703. pastoral staff here. Hallelujah.

  704. Glory to God. Pastor Ryan, we've got

  705. Pastor Madlock.

  706. Hallelujah. Pastor Janet. You got

  707. anything, babe? You sure? You sure you

  708. don't have anything?

  709. Nothing at all?

  710. Anybody? Anybody could I can go home

  711. with you.

  712. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

  713. I better get back to the Bible. I'm in

  714. safe territory.

  715. He says here, Paul writing to the

  716. Corinthians, he said, "Wherefore,

  717. whosoever shall eat this bread and drink

  718. this cup of the Lord unworthily," didn't

  719. say unworthy, said unworth, unworthy is

  720. what you are, unworthily is how you take

  721. it.

  722. Shall be guilty of the body and blood of

  723. the Lord. I don't want to be guilty of

  724. that just by being getting getting a

  725. spirit of stupid on me. But let a man

  726. examine himself. Don't Don't let

  727. everybody else examine you. They got

  728. their problems.

  729. Let a man examine himself. And so let

  730. him eat of that bread and drink of that

  731. cup. For he that eateth and drinkketh

  732. unworthily eateth and drinkkeeth

  733. damnation to himself, not discerning the

  734. Lord's body. For this cause many are

  735. weak and sickly among you, and many

  736. sleep. Now, we could go a whole other

  737. direction with that, but really what he

  738. says back here, he tells us what we're

  739. going to do. So, we start out. What

  740. we're going to do is we're going to just

  741. um we're going to serve everybody if

  742. it's your choice, of course. Okay. I

  743. highly recommend everybody take time,

  744. close your eyes, look on the inside,

  745. say, "God, is there any anything I need

  746. to let go of? Anybody I need to forgive?

  747. Anybody I need to shake it off and go, I

  748. am not going to let that I'm not going

  749. to let that keep me out of the blessing

  750. of God by just being aggravating."

  751. Okay? And so, uh, anyway, so we'll do

  752. that and then what we'll do is we'll

  753. serve everybody as you come by the the

  754. tables here and if you'll take that and

  755. go back to your seats and then we'll

  756. just all receive at the same time. We'll

  757. make it how good and pleasant it is for

  758. the brethren to dwell together in unity.

  759. We'll we'll all receive together and

  760. then we'll check out and go home for the

  761. afternoon. Glory to God. So, um, Father,

  762. thank you. Thank you. Thank you by the

  763. Holy Ghost for stirring us on the

  764. inside, letting us know we can let go of

  765. anything we need to let go of. shake off

  766. anything we need to shake off. Thank

  767. you, Father. Nothing's been done to us

  768. that's worth us being crazy about it and

  769. letting go of the benefits of the blood

  770. and the body. So, I thank you for it,

  771. dear Father. You, Father, you send your

  772. word for this cause. Many are weak and

  773. sickly among you and and many die early.

  774. Lord, I don't want anything pushing me

  775. over the edge for for my thinking I got

  776. the right to hold something against

  777. somebody. Nobody's done anything to me

  778. any bigger than what I did to Jesus.

  779. And so we thank you for it in Jesus

  780. name. Father. Amen. Amen. Amen.
