>> Glory to God. Well, good morning.
-
Good to see everyone. Happy Father's
-
Day.
-
Hallelujah. Glory to God for all the
-
natural fathers, spiritual fathers.
-
Glory to God. All those that are in a
-
fatherhood capacity in somebody's life,
-
bringing direction, leading, and
-
guidance.
-
Thankful for you. You know, um
-
if you think about it,
-
we go back through the scriptures and we
-
find all of the genealogies and you go
-
back who was the son of this one, who
-
was the son of this one, who was the son
-
of Adam, who was the son of God.
-
Last time we have somebody that's called
-
the son of God was Adam.
-
And uh for about 4,000 years ago,
-
he was the son of God and then course,
-
you know, when you've got the the fall
-
in the garden and
-
and all that and Adam lost that
-
position, lost that place. And so we go
-
for the next 4,000 years and we've got
-
generations of of um servants. We got
-
generations of people who love God. We
-
got generations of people who you know,
-
connected to God. But you go 4,000 years
-
and you we don't find anybody called a
-
son of God.
-
Don't find anybody in there called a son
-
of God. That privilege was lost.
-
So, but God spent 4,000 years getting us
-
ready.
-
Prophesied about Jesus. Prophesied about
-
his life, his death, his burial, his
-
resurrection and his ministry,
-
everything about his his his existence.
-
And so for about 4,000 years and then we
-
know from the scriptures for God so
-
loved the world he gave his only
-
begotten son.
-
Whosoever believes on him should not
-
perish but have everlasting life. So we
-
come down 4,000 years down the road. We
-
went 4,000 years until we come into
-
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and
-
suddenly suddenly
-
suddenly
-
God goes beyond being a God. He he he
-
was still God, he is still God.
-
Okay? But he became father.
-
And so everything changed. So 4,000
-
years of God being God then into the
-
last 2,000 years he became father. We
-
we're in the family of God.
-
And when everything changed, when God
-
put us into his family, we've got his uh
-
genetics.
-
Someone goes, "What does that mean?" I
-
don't know, but I'm glad it works.
-
We've got his genetics, we've got his
-
life, his death, his We got his
-
resurrection. We've got everything that
-
pertains to life and godliness. For God
-
so loved the world, he gave us only
-
begotten son. So, so you know, so many
-
things we celebrate today with the
-
natural fathers. But if you stop and
-
think about it, we've got Father God
-
who goes way beyond our
-
ability.
-
You know, Pastor Jan was talking about
-
all the birds being taken care of.
-
That's why I don't do it.
-
Said they've got a good job taking care
-
of here. Got trees, got bushes. They're
-
all taken care of. I don't need to go
-
But anyway, we won't get into that.
-
Uh somehow I'm going to lose out on that
-
>> [clears throat]
-
>> argument. But yes, I hear some yes, yes,
-
yes. Got a bag of seed. I just haven't
-
opened it up for a year or two. But
-
anyway,
-
But God knows how to take care of us.
-
The Lord is my shepherd, I don't have a
-
want.
-
And then we get into the new covenant
-
and we have
-
we have a Father God.
-
And as good as any natural father could
-
be, it's nothing compared to what our
-
heavenly father is. Knows how to take
-
care of every part of our lives. So
-
anyway, so um
-
all of the fathers in here today, we
-
appreciate you. We appreciate what
-
you're doing. You know, I was thinking
-
earlier today about my father.
-
I've had I talked to somebody the other
-
day.
-
Haven't hadn't seen him in a year or so.
-
And they said, "Boy, I never I've never
-
forgotten your your father."
-
I'm sure. And he was quite a character
-
until the time he took his last breath
-
and stepped over to the other side. I
-
figure he's still a character on the
-
other side. I've never asked God what
-
he's doing over there. I figure I
-
honestly don't want to know.
-
I know he's got things stirred up and
-
mom's trying to keep him in line. But
-
anyway, um
-
you know, so appreciative of what a
-
father can do. It go It goes beyond just
-
being somebody that gives directions,
-
gives orders, and get a father somebody
-
that leads, guides, directs, and all
-
that. So, uh appreciate what the fathers
-
do. Thank you. Thank you for what you've
-
invested in so many lives. Yeah, go
-
ahead.
-
Give them a hand.
-
Hallelujah. Praise God. Well, Father, in
-
the name of Jesus, we're just grateful
-
for your love, your goodness, your
-
mercy, your blessing.
-
And we thank you, Father, for your
-
direction in the service this morning,
-
for what you have uh in store for us,
-
for we what you have what we believe you
-
have planned for us. Uh we thank you for
-
it in the wonderful name of Jesus, and
-
we do trust you for uh utterance. As the
-
Apostle Paul said,
-
uh praying always with all prayer and
-
supplication in the spirit and watching
-
thereunto with all perseverance and
-
supplication for all saints, and for me
-
that utterance may be given unto me,
-
that I may open my mouth boldly to make
-
known the mystery of the gospel. Father,
-
we do trust you and thank you for
-
utterance, words to speak, not just what
-
we know, but what you know. We thank you
-
in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Glory to
-
God. Well, again, good to be here with
-
you this morning
-
uh in church. Hallelujah. You know, I I
-
was thinking we we uh
-
have some uh information, I'll put it
-
that way, from someone that's in
-
uh another uh land right now
-
uh where uh they're they're not allowed
-
to technically not allowed to go to a
-
church, they're not allowed to go to get
-
together and worship there. They're
-
They're uh
-
uh
-
Well, anyway, we'll just say they don't
-
have rights and privileges. And I was
-
thinking about that this morning, and I
-
thought what a blessing we have to live
-
here in good old USA.
-
You know, what a what an amazing
-
blessing it is, okay? They were talking
-
about the the celebration we'll have on
-
the What is the 5th, I think it is, uh
-
of uh
-
uh July. And uh we're going to have a
-
celebration.
-
Got a lot to celebrate. What God did,
-
everything he did to raise up a nation
-
for the purposes of why
-
why he raised this nation up. And
-
privilege to be a part of it, okay? Now,
-
I know a lot of folks have you know,
-
said different things and have different
-
opinions and that's okay. They can be
-
wrong if they want, but
-
Pastor Janet and I've been to I don't
-
know,
-
over 50 nations and and
-
you know, I hear Larry over there. And
-
you know, when you've been other places,
-
when you get back doesn't matter. It
-
does Do we have we made mistakes? Oh, we
-
got plenty of mistakes.
-
We've made lots of mistakes in America.
-
Still making mistakes. Well, I don't
-
like this one. I don't like that one. It
-
really doesn't matter who we like, okay?
-
What matters is who we if we if we
-
whether we like folks or not, we pray
-
for them.
-
That's our job.
-
And so basically, you know, we've got a
-
we have a
-
a great privilege to live in this
-
nation. Like it or not, this is still
-
the best nation in the world.
-
We've been to some good ones. We've been
-
to some great ones. We've been to some
-
bad ones. We've been to some
-
under different
-
government systems.
-
I've only been taken into a police
-
station once that I recall.
-
I mean in another nation. And uh,
-
>> [laughter]
-
>> But
-
you know, when you go when you travel
-
places around the world under different
-
systems and different governments and
-
all that, all you got to do is come back
-
to America and hang around here a little
-
bit and and it doesn't matter what you
-
hear or what people bring up or what
-
somebody does like or what somebody
-
doesn't like,
-
you know, if honestly, if you're real
-
honest about it, when you get back into
-
America if you've been somewhere else
-
for a few months or whatever, you want
-
to get out and kiss the ground because
-
there's something about this place. It
-
was raised by divine order. So anyway,
-
but that's not my subject for this
-
morning. So,
-
So, anyway,
-
um
-
I'm going to go back actually I'm going
-
to start out with
-
Acts chapter 2.
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
And uh I've got too many directions
-
here. That's the issue. Acts chapter 2
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
where it says back there, "Uh and when
-
the day of Pentecost was fully come,
-
they were all with one accord in one
-
place. And suddenly there came a sound
-
from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind
-
filled all the house where they are
-
sitting.
-
There appeared under them cloven tongues
-
like as of fire and sat upon each one of
-
them. And they're all filled with the
-
Holy Ghost began to speak with other
-
tongues as the Spirit gave them
-
utterance." And you know, of course, we
-
know the outpouring of the Holy Ghost on
-
the day of Pentecost. That's where Peter
-
stood up as the leader of the troops in
-
that particular day. Peter stood up and
-
he preached the he preached the message
-
on the day of Pentecost where the gospel
-
was declared to the to the Jewish world,
-
okay?
-
And if you read on down through the
-
chapter, you'll see that you really in
-
his altar call, you know, Peter he
-
denied Jesus three times in the night
-
that he's betrayed, but when he got into
-
his first altar call, he got 3,000
-
people born again.
-
He made up for the difference.
-
And so, we would go in there and we see
-
Peter, you know, he's preaching
-
this this amazing message, "These men
-
are not all drunken as you suppose
-
seeing it's but the third hour of the
-
day, but this is the beginning of that
-
which was spoken by the prophet Joel. In
-
the last day saith God, I will pour out
-
of my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons
-
and daughters will prophesy." Well, we
-
know the whole story there. We could go
-
into all that, but don't have time for
-
that this morning.
-
But anyway, that that was the outpouring
-
of the Holy Ghost on the Jewish world.
-
That was God pouring the spirit of God
-
out on the Jewish persons. And they were
-
they were from all the region round
-
about. If you want to read Acts chapter
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
1, Acts chapter 2, you'll see that they
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
came from all the they came to do
-
business there. And and this is the day
-
of Pentecost. They came in for the
-
feast. They came in to do business
-
there. And when they did,
-
uh they They had the resurrection of
-
Jesus. Now we've got the outpouring of
-
the Holy Ghost on the Jewish world.
-
Well, that that's wonderful. And then
-
the church began to grow and multiply
-
and multitudes were added to the Lord
-
such as should be saved. You can follow
-
this through
-
from Acts chapter 2
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
to about Acts roughly the 10th chapter.
-
And when you get to the 10th chapter,
-
all of a sudden you look over there and
-
and
-
the church has been okay. The church has
-
been doing well. The church in Jerusalem
-
has has thrived and churches
-
beginning to spread to other places to a
-
good degree. But when you get over there
-
into Acts the 10th chapter, all of a
-
sudden we see this is imagine that 12 12
-
years later. You've got the good news of
-
Jesus on planet Earth. His death, his
-
burial, his resurrection
-
and and really 12 years down the road,
-
it had not technically had not gotten
-
past the the the Jewish world.
-
And so when you get over there to Acts
Acts 10 chapter mention
-
chapter
-
10 and
-
verse 1 says talks about how I'm going
-
to kind of hurry through this cuz
-
there's a lot I want to get covered
-
before we finish up. When you get to the
-
10th chapter the book of Acts
-
there was
-
in Caesarea there was a there was a
-
Roman Centurion Cornelius, okay?
-
And apparently a very wealthy man. He
-
had servants. He had he had those that
-
waited on him. He had a lot of folks
-
that that looked to him for leadership.
-
And but he he he loved God. He gave alms
-
regularly. He was a giver. He prayed
-
regularly. He loved God. The only
-
problem was he'd never heard the good
-
news of Jesus.
-
He knew that he knew he knew the
-
Old Testament. He knew the law. He knew
-
to give. He knew to pray. He just didn't
-
he just wasn't born again.
-
And so he's just doing all he knows to
-
do and it says about about 3:00 in the
-
afternoon one day all of a sudden an
-
angel appears to him and uh says
-
Cornelius, of course it scared him. He
-
said, "Lord, what do you want?" And he
-
said, "Your prayers and I love this,
-
your prayers and your alms have come up
-
as a memorial before God."
-
God God He's pleased with when we do
-
things like that. He's pleased when we
-
pray. He's pleased when we give. He
-
says, "Your prayers and your alms have
-
come up as a memorial before God." And
-
he says, "Now, send to Joppa. When you
-
get down there, go to the house of one
-
Simon the tanner. He lives by the
-
seaside and there's the the there's the
-
uh Peter is staying with him in there.
-
Go get him and and uh
-
he's got something to tell you."
-
And interesting. All right, the angel
-
didn't give him the gospel. The angel
-
didn't preach the death, burial, and
-
resurrection. He just said, "Go to
-
Joppa. Go to the seaside. Go to to uh uh
-
Simon's house. Get Peter over there and
-
go get him and bring him in."
-
Well, now that's fine except
-
Cornelius is a Gentile.
-
And the Jews don't hang out with a
-
Gentile. That's just not the way this
-
thing worked for about 4,000 years. This
-
doesn't work real well that way.
-
But But this angel says, "Go get him and
-
bring him."
-
So So God doesn't leave it at that way.
-
You know, fast forward a day or so and
-
Peter, he's over there. He's hungry.
-
He's going up about noon. He's going up
-
on the top of the house going up getting
-
ready for lunch. They're going to
-
prepare the lunch. And when he's up
-
there, he falls over into a trance.
-
Okay. Now, I don't know if you've ever
-
seen anybody fall into a trance. I
-
remember being in uh
-
uh Tulsa camp meeting one time, Brother
-
Hagin was walking across the platform
-
about to finish out the service and all
-
of a sudden he went down face first on
-
the platform. Everybody gasped in the
-
room. Everybody thought he'd had a heart
-
attack or something. Mom Hagin goes,
-
"Oh, that's okay. It happens all the
-
time." And uh
-
he what he'd done he'd fallen over into
-
a trance.
-
Uh I I was on the in front row so I
-
remember what happened was trance is
-
when uh you fall over in bodily over
-
into a place where you you see over in
-
the realm of the spirit. God shows
-
things to people in cases like that. So,
-
anyway,
-
um
-
we we look there and and Peter goes up
-
on the house top I'll stop to pray.
-
They're preparing lunch down there. He
-
said he's real hungry. He's going up on
-
the house top to pray and he falls over
-
into a trance and he sees a sheet let
-
down from heaven knit at the four
-
corners full of all manner of
-
unclean beasts, all kinds of unclean
-
animals, the critters.
-
The only things you're not supposed to
-
eat as a Jewish believer.
-
And so, anyway, he sees this come down
-
from heaven. This heaven opens up this
-
gets let down. He sees all these
-
animals. There had to be a large It had
-
to be a large entity because had all
-
kinds of all manner of unclean beasts.
-
And he looks up and hears a voice
-
saying, "Rise, Peter, kill and eat."
-
Peter said, "Not so, Lord. I've never
-
eaten anything unclean." He said, "What
-
I've cleansed don't call common."
-
Okay? And
-
you know, and and then this happens
-
three times and the third time it went
-
back up into heaven and Peter still
-
didn't know what this meant.
-
What does this mean? He saw this sheet
-
let down from heaven full of all manner
-
of unclean beasts, unclean under the
-
Levitical law. You don't eat those.
-
Okay, you sure don't cook them for
-
lunch. And he looks up there and all of
-
a sudden this voice says, "Rise, Peter,
-
kill and eat." He said, "Not so, Lord.
-
I've never eaten anything unclean like
-
that. And what I've cleansed don't call
-
common or unclean." And then went back
-
up into heaven.
-
Peter's sitting there. He doesn't know
-
what this means. Then the spirit of God
-
speaks to him and said, "There's three
-
men there at the door waiting for you.
-
Go with them nothing doubting." So, this
-
whole thing what God's done to be able
-
to speak to Cornelius over there, have
-
him send two of his men with one of his
-
soldiers all the way they're going to
-
get he just said, "Go get Peter. Tell
-
him he's got something to tell you."
-
tell you about salvation. He's going to
-
tell you about the new birth. He just
-
said, "Go get him at his house." He
-
said, "All right." Brought him inside.
-
The next day they left. Come get you,
-
you got something to tell us.
-
Okay, Cornelius has brought together all
-
of his friends, all of his family. We
-
got to understand he's a he is a Roman
-
but he's brought them all together. All
-
he knows is this angel and brought If
-
you look at Acts chapter 10 verse 34,
-
we can take a look at that and he said,
-
"Sirs,
-
here the
-
If you think about this, Peter preached
-
the gospel to the Jews in Acts chapter
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
2. 12 years later, God gets his
-
attention, sends him to Caesarea, gets
-
him to Cornelius' house, puts him into
-
the room. He's he's in a room full of
-
Jews and not Jews, he's in a room full
-
of Gentiles in there. And he's he looks
-
up and think about that. In his whole
-
life, he's never been in a place full of
-
Gentiles. He's never had lunch with
-
them, he's never eaten with them, he
-
sure never eaten their food. And all of
-
a sudden, he knows God has told him
-
supernaturally to be at this place. So,
-
he stands up there in Acts chapter 10
-
verse 34, he makes a statement that
-
changed the course of the world.
-
Now, I don't know about you, I do Far as
-
I know, I don't have a Jewish bone in my
-
body.
-
I don't have I don't have any I I don't
-
I I've never been under the law, I've
-
never been under the law and not the
-
covenant I None of that. None of that.
-
So, what happened on this particular day
-
changed my life.
-
And probably a majority of us in here,
-
it changed our life.
-
So, anyway, Peter looks up there. He
-
looks out and sees this I don't know how
-
many were there but this sounds like a
-
pretty lucrative guy that had his
-
family, had his friends, had everybody
-
in there, brings them all in and he
-
looks at Peter and says, "What do you
-
want to tell us?"
-
They didn't know what they were looking
-
They didn't know about the new birth.
-
They didn't Think about this. They
-
didn't know about Jesus.
-
Okay?
-
If they knew about Jesus, they would not
-
have had to have Peter go get
-
to their house come back to their house
-
to tell.
-
And so, uh Peter looks up there Acts
-
chapter 10 verse 34, he said, "Sirs, I
-
perceive.
-
I perceive. Thank God for perception. He
-
didn't say I had a vision, a visitation.
-
He just said, "I perceive
-
I perceive that God is what? No
-
respecter of persons." Think about that.
-
4,000 years God has had the Jews and the
-
Gentiles. 4,000 years we've been away
-
from God. 4,000 years. And then we get
-
down into the ministry of Jesus, death,
-
burial, and resurrection. We get to his
-
resurrection time and then we get Peter
-
over here. He preaches to the
-
to the Jews. 12 years later God
-
supernaturally moves to get him into the
-
Gentile world.
-
You know, go into all the world and
-
preach the gospel to every
-
>> creature.
-
>> Every Jewish creature?
-
They God's been trying for 12 years to
-
get this across to him.
-
They're just looking through religious
-
colored glasses. They don't get it. They
-
They don't get the fact that this this
-
truth is for the entire world.
-
God knew it. But it took him 12 years to
-
get somebody from the outpouring on the
-
Jews to the outpouring on the Gentiles.
-
When he finally gets them in there,
-
Peter stands up and he says, "Sirs, I
-
perceive God's no respecter of persons."
-
To God there's no difference between a
-
lost Jew and a lost Gentile.
-
To God there's no difference between a
-
sick Jew and a sick Gentile. To God
-
there's no difference between a broke
-
Jew and a broke Gentile. To God that he
-
is no respecter of persons. I remember
-
first time I read that verse many years
-
ago now. It would have been about 1974.
-
I saw that verse and in looking at that
-
I I was so glad to see that that God
-
doesn't really He doesn't care where you
-
come from.
-
Doesn't care what your background is. He
-
doesn't care what your genealogy is. He
-
God doesn't care any about that. To him
-
it doesn't make doesn't make any
-
difference where you come from. It's
-
just where you're going.
-
He said, "I perceive
-
Think about it. If nobody would have
-
gotten that revelation, the gospel would
-
have gone as far as the Jews and it
-
would have stopped there.
-
But God sent somebody in there. Peter
-
goes in there,
-
uh uh a a
-
living Jew, okay?
-
He goes in there and he said, "I
-
perceive God's no respecter of persons."
-
Now, I want to take just a few minutes
-
and cover something here because when
-
you go in there, he says, "I perceive
-
God's no respecter of persons."
-
And now he begins to preach to them.
-
He's got to Now, when when he leaves and
-
goes back, that's the 10th chapter. When
-
he leaves and goes back to the brethren
-
in the 11th chapter, he's already in
-
trouble. They said, "We got word that
-
you have been eating with Gentiles.
-
You've been staying with Gentiles.
-
You've been in the house of Gentiles."
-
And he says, "Yeah, but you have to
-
understand, I went up on the house top
-
to pray about noon. I was going up
-
getting ready for lunch,
-
and I fell over into a trance, and I saw
-
a sheet let down from heaven full
-
knitted to all four corners, and it was
-
filled with all manner of unclean
-
beasts. And a voice spoke to me and
-
said, 'Rise, Peter, kill and eat.' And I
-
told him, 'No, I've never eaten anything
-
unclean.' And said, 'What I've cleansed
-
don't call common or unclean.'" And he
-
said, "That happened three times, and so
-
all the brethren said, 'Well, apparently
-
God's given life to the Gentiles also.'"
-
Because of one encounter, Peter was able
-
Think about that. He preached two I
-
mean, I He preached all the time, but he
-
preached two major messages. He preached
-
one
-
one to the Jews on the day of Pentecost.
-
12 years later, God sends him back in,
-
and he preaches to the Gentiles.
-
And because of that, it went to the
-
Gentile world, and it began to spread
-
through the Gentile world. And we can go
-
a little further. We can go to the 13th
-
chapter of the book of Acts. We find
-
uh Saul of Tarsus, who becomes the
-
Apostle Paul, and he gets launched out
-
of the the church at Antioch. And uh I I
-
don't know. I've read a lot of different
-
books, and I'm not sure who's correct,
-
if anyone. But the books I've read have
-
said that in in in Paul's lifetime, he
-
planted at least 40 churches in 40
-
different nations. Beaten, stoned,
-
shipwrecked, left for dead, a day and
-
night in the deep. He went through all
-
these things. What did he do? He went
-
out and because somebody took the time
-
to obey the Holy Ghost. Go into
-
Cornelius' house and preach the gospel
-
to the Gentile world and from that point
-
it exploded. The Gentiles were ready for
-
answers. They they loved God under the
-
law, they believed God under the law,
-
but nobody brought them the light under
-
the law. So, anyway,
-
uh with that being the case in the 10th
-
chapter of the book of Acts,
-
if we look down here
-
a little bit, I I noticed here it says
-
in the 44th verse.
-
Now, Peter's going to preach to them.
-
Okay? He knows what to preach. He's
-
heard the gospel.
-
All right? He's been with Jesus from his
-
death to his resurrection. He's one of
-
the original 12 what's called
-
Revelation 21 calls him one of the
-
apostles of the Lamb. He's one of the
-
original. Okay, so he knows what he's
-
doing, but he gets over there and it
-
says in verse 44, "While Peter yet spoke
-
these words." This got my attention
-
years ago. Said, "While Peter yet spoke
-
these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all
-
them which heard the word."
-
Now, I don't know about you, but when I
-
read that, I thought there was something
-
about what he preached.
-
Something about what he preached.
-
There's a lot of things he could have
-
preached. Okay? He could have preached a
-
lot of things under the law. He could
-
have preached the law and the covenant.
-
He could have preached the do's and the
-
don'ts. There's a lot he could have
-
done, but the Bible said over there, "As
-
Peter yet What did he say? Peter yet
-
spoke these words?" The Holy Ghost what?
-
There was I don't know about you, but to
-
me there's something so powerful about
-
Now, it wasn't a long message. This
-
didn't go for hours, okay? This wasn't
-
like Paul who preached all night till
-
the guy fell out the window and
-
died and raised him from the dead and
-
No, this was not one of those all night
-
meetings. He just got up there and
-
preached what really to me it was a
-
short message. And as he yet preached,
-
apparently there was something so strong
-
in that message.
-
Okay? Now, it's not a message of
-
everything. It's not all we need to
-
know, but apparently, there was
-
something so strong in that message. The
-
Bible didn't say they heard it and
-
believed. The Bible said the holy As
-
Peter yet spake these words, he's still
-
talking.
-
I don't know about you. I'm still
-
looking for services where the Holy
-
Ghost will interrupt me right in the
-
middle of it. And the Holy Ghost will
-
fall on everybody in the place. I I'm
-
ready for some of those, but until we
-
get there, we'll take what we've got.
-
But he says, "While Peter yet spoke
-
these words,
-
the Holy Ghost he he fell
-
on all them that heard the word. And he
-
goes on and says, "And they of the
-
circumcision which believed were
-
astonished as many as came with Peter
-
because that on the Gentiles also was
-
poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
-
For they heard them speak with tongues
-
and magnify God." And then Peter, of
-
course, answered them, and they took
-
them out and baptized them. We we know
-
the story there.
-
But if you go back through there, "As
-
Peter yet spake these words, the Holy
-
Ghost fell."
-
You know, I I
-
We've got to be at a place in the body
-
of Christ where the Holy Ghost can come
-
in meetings and fall.
-
I'm ready for times like that.
-
I can look back. We had a meeting one
-
time in the southern part of France.
-
We're in a morning service, and all of
-
sudden all of sudden the presence of God
-
came and just filled the room. It wasn't
-
wild, and you know, they didn't run the
-
aisles, jump the pews, and swing from
-
the chandeliers, but the power of God
-
came and fell it filled the room.
-
It was the second meeting in that
-
particular conference we had. Second
-
time the Holy Ghost came in and just
-
filled the place.
-
Now, I don't know about you. If you've
-
never been around the presence of God,
-
first time you get around it, you never
-
forget.
-
You know?
-
I I remember being in those meetings.
-
There was there were one, two,
-
three, five. I think there were five of
-
us that had gone on this trip. We were
-
doing this meeting. It was a night
-
service kind of in a in a a theater
-
auditorium.
-
And uh we're sitting there and and I
-
could give you the names of the people
-
that were in there. You'd probably
-
recognize some of the names. And uh
-
we're we're having a we're having a Holy
-
Ghost meeting, but all of a sudden there
-
was just this quiet presence that came
-
into the room. We sat there for over 20
-
minutes in total silence. There were
-
children there there were
-
youngsters, there were little ones all
-
in that room, but nobody made a sound.
-
Because there was a presence that filled
-
that place. God did something in that
-
place. Well, you know, no use going into
-
it now, but goodness, you could go back
-
there right now. There's a strong
-
thriving actually two strong thriving
-
local churches in that city right now
-
because some some people took time to
-
plow and plant and harvest and do the
-
work there.
-
But going back through there
-
there was something about the presence
-
of God that came in there.
-
The the glory of God, the manifested
-
presence of God that came in into that
-
particular place. So anyway, looking
-
back through here, we've got Peter and
-
while he yet speaks, the Holy Ghost
-
falls.
-
Now, I don't know a whole lot about what
-
went on, but we do know when the Holy
-
Ghost fell in there, this whole room
-
full of Gentiles, how many they are,
-
apparently they got born again and
-
baptized in the Holy Ghost all at the
-
same time.
-
Now, I've seen that happen in people's
-
lives. I've seen folks that come in, go
-
into a meeting, they don't know anything
-
about the gospel, but the power of God
-
will come on.
-
I've heard people say that they were in
-
meetings years ago when when the glory
-
would come into a meeting. The
-
manifested presence of God would come
-
into a meeting. And like a thick white
-
cloud would come in the back of the
-
church and and it would just work its
-
way up through the service, come up
-
through the crowd. And it's just like a
-
bright cloud that came in there. And
-
said next thing they know, every lost
-
person in the place is kneeling at the
-
elders praying and getting right. Every
-
lost person that had
-
backslidden, lost, every and everybody
-
said, "I don't even know how I got up
-
here. All I know is some cloud came
-
through there, the presence of God came
-
in, and when that glory, when that
-
presence came in, I next thing I know
-
I'm not in my seat back there. I'm at
-
the altar up here praying and getting
-
right. Every lost person got saved.
-
Every backslider came back to God. Every
-
person not baptized in the Holy Ghost
-
got filled with the Holy Ghost. God
-
changed the whole church in one service
-
in one night.
-
So if those things can happen,
-
but that's what's happening back there.
-
Peter just he's just doing his job
-
preaching the good news.
-
And if you go back through there really
-
if you go back into that 10th chapter,
-
he's preaching the death, burial, and
-
resurrection of Jesus. Okay? So he So So
-
there's two things two things he
-
ministered here.
-
Number one, he preached about
-
redemption.
-
The death, burial, and resurrection of
-
Jesus. That is the the crux of
-
everything.
-
But there's something else he preached
-
here. Now I thought about this a lot in
-
the days gone by because you've got
-
however many
-
uh Gentiles are in this particular
-
place. I don't know how many there were,
-
but they don't know anything.
-
They don't They don't even know who
-
Jesus was. They're serving God under the
-
law. They're serving God under the old
-
covenant. They're serving God. They're
-
giving. They're praying, but they don't
-
know anything about Jesus.
-
They're apparently far enough away they
-
haven't even heard about him yet. And so
-
Peter goes in there and he looks around
-
and this place is filled with Gentiles
-
don't know about Jesus. First thing he's
-
got to do is tell them who Jesus is.
-
He's got to explain to them this is the
-
one I've come to tell you about. I
-
didn't come just to preach death,
-
burial, and resurrection. That would
-
have been good, but I need to tell you
-
about the one you need to be serving. I
-
need to tell you about the one that paid
-
the price for you.
-
So there's something about that
-
uh message as Peter yet spake these
-
words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them
-
which heard the word. For they heard
-
them speak with tongues and magnify God.
-
What did he tell them about? What was it
-
What was it that changed the course of
-
the
-
I mean, think about this. This changed
-
the course of the Gentile world.
-
I'm thankful for that.
-
>> Amen. I wasn't raised in a Jewish
-
church.
-
I don't even know if we had one in my
-
hometown. I have no idea. But I wasn't
-
around that. Okay? Was in a
-
a nominal denominational church. But if
-
we go back through here, what was that
-
Peter preached?
-
Okay? It had to be strong because as he
-
had spoke
-
these words,
-
the Holy Ghost fell on all them which
-
heard the word. Okay, now verse 45.
-
I get the right verse here.
-
I need to back up. Verse 38.
-
Okay. So, he says verse 34, "Of a truth
-
I I I of a truth I perceive God is no
-
respecter of persons." That's what
-
changed the course of the Gentile world
-
when all of a sudden the Jews realized
-
God don't care if you're a lost Jew or a
-
lost Gentile.
-
Doesn't make any difference to God. He
-
paid the same price It cost him as much
-
to get me saved as it did to get any Jew
-
saved.
-
It cost as much to get me born again as
-
any lost
-
Jew. Right, it didn't make God didn't
-
care.
-
So anyway, he says here
-
verse 38,
-
this is the message he preached that as
-
he's yet speaking the Holy Ghost falls
-
on all them which hear the word. Verse
-
38, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
-
What's he doing? He's preaching He's
-
preaching the earthly ministry of Jesus.
-
I mean, think about this. How God
-
anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy
-
Ghost and with power, who went about
-
doing good, healing all that were
-
oppressed of the devil for God is with
-
him." If you think about that, how God
-
anointed How God anointed If you go back
-
through there,
-
Philippians chapter 2 verse 5 says, "Let
-
this mind be in you which also was in
-
Christ Jesus,
-
who being in the form of God thought it
-
not robbery to be equal with God, but
-
made himself of no reputation." One
-
translation said stripped himself of his
-
mighty power and glory. Laid aside all
-
of his rightful dignity.
-
"Let this mind be in you which also was
-
in Christ Jesus who being in the form of
-
God thought it not robbery to be equal
-
with God, laid aside all that he had as
-
the Son of God,
-
laid aside like you would a uh a cloak
-
or a coat or something, laid it aside
-
and became like us. Stripped himself of
-
his mighty power and glory and became
-
like us, okay? So, if you go back
-
through there,
-
you look back
-
when Jesus came to this earth,
-
he laid aside his might his his rightful
-
power and glory. His dignity, his
-
rightful He laid aside the anoint He
-
laid aside the anointing he had as the
-
Son of God. He was the Son of God.
-
Nobody took that away from him, but he
-
laid it aside.
-
When he laid that aside, he came to this
-
earth and became like us,
-
born of a virgin, okay? And if you look
-
at that, he he was the Son of God when
-
he was born.
-
He was the Son of God when he was 12 and
-
he went to the temple and was asking
-
questions. He was the Son of God when he
-
was 29, wasn't he?
-
He was the Son of God when he was 29
-
years, uh 11 months, 29 days, 18 hours,
-
and 36 minutes. He was the Son of God,
-
wasn't he?
-
He was the Son of God, but he had that
-
anointing, he had that power, that
-
presence he had on him. He laid that
-
aside and became like us. He had to be
-
like us to redeem us. He had to pay the
-
price for us before he could pay the
-
before he could be born again. Somebody
-
Somebody had to take my place.
-
Somebody had to do take my place for
-
what I'd done, mistakes I'd made, for
-
all of sin and come short of the glory
-
of God. Somebody had to take my place in
-
there, and nobody could do it. No There
-
was no sinless, spotless blood on planet
-
Earth. Nobody could do that. And so, we
-
look back there,
-
and so, you know, we look at at
-
Philippians and said, you know, Jesus
-
laid this all aside, lived with us for,
-
you know, bottom line, lived with us for
-
about 30 years, okay? Paid the price,
-
became one of us so he could redeem us.
-
Did all that. And when he did that, and
-
then and then we look back here and it
-
said
-
um
-
Peter's preaching here and he said how
-
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the
-
Holy Ghost with power. What's he talking
-
about? What he's saying is God had Jesus
-
lay aside all of his mighty power, his
-
mighty glory, his anoint lay that all
-
aside until he's about 30 years old, and
-
then when he went to the River Jordan
-
baptized by John the Baptist, came up
-
out of the water praying.
-
The heavens opened, the spirit of God
-
descended in bodily form like a dove,
-
came upon him, remained upon him. God
-
gave him the spirit without limitation.
-
When that happened was God anointed him.
-
The anointing of God Anoint means to rub
-
on, to apply. The anointing of God came
-
on him. Jesus Jesus was the son of God
-
all the way through, but he laid that
-
aside for 30 years on planet Earth so he
-
could come down and take our place. He
-
had to be tempted in all points like as
-
we are.
-
He had to He had to go through what I
-
was going to go through. Had He had to
-
make every mistake I had the option to
-
make. He had to do everything I was
-
going to about to do wrong. He had to go
-
through everything I went through and
-
come out without the smell of smoke on
-
him. He did He was sinless, spotless, no
-
mistakes.
-
So he did all that. And then when he was
-
baptized in Jordan, came up out of the
-
water praying, the heavens opened, the
-
spirit of God descended in bodily form,
-
God anointed him. God put the Holy Ghost
-
What he left behind when he left heaven
-
30 years earlier, what he left behind,
-
God reapplied on him. And when he did
-
that, all of a sudden you stop think
-
Jesus He He'd been on Earth for 30 years
-
and he'd never worked a miracle.
-
I heard somebody say one time it was
-
just because he he
-
he wouldn't No, it wasn't that he
-
wouldn't, he couldn't.
-
You can't do it without the anointing.
-
You can't work a miracle without the
-
presence of God. You can't do it without
-
the Holy Ghost. You can do all you want,
-
but you're not going to work any
-
miracles without the spirit of God.
-
So, we see him back here, and he hasn't
-
worked any miracles until suddenly
-
suddenly comes up out of the water
-
praying, the heavens open, the spirit
-
and and if you follow him through, he
-
goes from there over into the synagogue,
-
and he stands up, and he said, "The
-
spirit of the Lord is upon me cuz he's
-
anointed me to preach the gospel to the
-
poor. He sent me to heal the
-
brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the
-
captives, recovering of sight to the
-
blind, set at liberty those that are
-
bruised, preach the preach the
-
acceptable year of the Lord."
-
And he closed the book, he gave it again
-
to the minister, sat down,
-
eyes of all them that were in the
-
synagogue were fastened upon him, and he
-
began to say into the them, "This day is
-
this scripture fulfilled in your ears."
-
In other words, I haven't worked a
-
miracle in 30 years, but now if you want
-
one, you can have one.
-
Doesn't matter what's wrong with you,
-
doesn't matter what ails you, doesn't
-
matter if you're physical if it's
-
physical, financial, emotional, it
-
doesn't make any difference. Whatever's
-
wrong with you, I am able to fix it.
-
The spirit of the Lord is upon me
-
because he's anointed me to preach the
-
gospel to the poor.
-
So, we look at that, and so Peter's
-
preaching this message, he said, "How
-
God
-
How God They don't know who Jesus is.
-
These are Gentiles.
-
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth Maybe
-
they've heard of Jesus, don't know
-
anything about him. How God anointed
-
Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost
-
We'd say with the gifts of the spirit,
-
manifestations of the Holy Ghost, signs,
-
wonders, miracles. How God anointed
-
Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost
-
and with
-
power.
-
Remember back there in fifth chapter of
-
Mark's gospel, the woman with the issue
-
of blood came in the press behind and
-
touched his garment?
-
First, she said, "If I can just touch
-
his clothes, I'll be whole."
-
Straightway, immediately the fountain of
-
her blood was dried up. She felt in her
-
body she was healed of that plague.
-
Jesus immediately knowing in himself
-
that virtue or power gone out of him
-
said, "Who touched my clothes?" All of a
-
sudden Jesus who never worked a miracle
-
in 30 years on planet Earth, all of a
-
sudden now people are coming up behind
-
touching the hem of his garment getting
-
miracles.
-
So Peter's going to preach this now.
-
They don't know who Jesus is and he says
-
this how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth.
-
Okay. Jesus of Nazareth was the one
-
walking on Earth for 30 years without
-
the anointing of God.
-
But then the spirit of God came on him.
-
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with
-
the Holy Ghost and his power who then
-
went about doing good.
-
Now we could I'm not going to spend time
-
here but we could spend quite a bit of
-
time right here. You know, I don't know
-
about you. I remember
-
I remember would have been you know
-
1972-73.
-
Uh
-
we were coming [clears throat] in the
-
charismatic move.
-
Anybody else come in the charismatic
-
move and it was as as clueless as I was?
-
We didn't know anything.
-
I had a Bible. I didn't know you're
-
supposed to read it. I tried to read it
-
that didn't help. I finally got a green
-
Living Bible and that was a little
-
better.
-
But you know, um
-
all of a sudden
-
we didn't know.
-
We didn't We didn't know. We thought We
-
thought God
-
uh you know, I remember somebody asking
-
me when I got my life right with God.
-
Somebody said, "Do you think you're You
-
think you're at a place now in your
-
consecration with God that if he wants
-
to you to spend the rest of your life
-
sick, you can do it?"
-
Well, we didn't know.
-
I said, "Yeah, I guess probably so." We
-
didn't know. We didn't know. Later on I
-
read a Bible thought, "Dear Lord, that
-
was a crazy subject." But but
-
we just didn't know these things. We
-
didn't know We didn't know if God was a
-
good God or not a good God.
-
We didn't know if he do good things or
-
if he do bad things. We didn't know if
-
he was a good God or an evil God. We
-
didn't know anything about God. We
-
hadn't been around God. We hadn't been
-
in a place that talked about God that
-
much. And so all of a sudden, all of a
-
sudden now here Peter stands up and he
-
said how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
-
with the Holy Ghost to with power who
-
went about doing
-
You can't find Jesus not doing good.
-
And what you know, I don't know about
-
you. I don't want to get over on this
-
right now. We'll be here too long. But
-
you know, back there that was the
-
beginning of the charismatic word of
-
faith teaching revival. And thank God
-
somebody finally took us to the
-
scriptures.
-
And we found out God's good God. John
-
10:10.
-
The thief cometh not but for to
-
kill and to steal and to destroy, but
-
I'm come that you might have life, that
-
you might have it more abundantly.
-
Okay.
-
And so, you know, we just we didn't
-
know.
-
We didn't have a clue about it until we
-
finally read a scripture and found out.
-
John 10:10. If it steals, it's not
-
God. If it kills, it's not God. If it's
-
if it destroys, it's not God. If it
-
brings abundant life, it is God. We got
-
it all straight We got it all
-
straightened out. Now, I don't know
-
about you.
-
I don't I don't feed a whole lot on
-
social media.
-
Um
-
I they they set me up on that number of
-
years ago and then they took me off.
-
Said I was getting a little too
-
belligerent whatever. But anyway,
-
um
-
But you know,
-
>> [laughter]
-
>> But I'm starting I'm starting to hear
-
rumblings coming out of a new generation
-
now. And and new generations they're
-
going, well, you know, God's got
-
everything under control.
-
I beg your pardon?
-
We got away from that in the 60s and we
-
got away from that in the 70s, and I am
-
not going back there again.
-
If God's got everything in control, he's
-
doing a bad job in Iran.
-
If God's got everything under control,
-
he's doing a bad job in Israel. If God's
-
got everything under control, he's doing
-
a bad job in the Congo. If God's
-
everything If he's got everything in
-
under control, he's doing a pretty bad
-
job in America.
-
If God's got everything under control,
-
then why is control so bad?
-
If God's doing it, then how come it's
-
not being done better?
-
He said, "I'm the Lord. I
-
I change not."
-
And so, really really, that's all of a
-
sudden I'm I'm hearing rumblings of this
-
stuff, and I I don't mean that in
-
critical to people's lives. What I'm
-
saying is what we got away from 40 years
-
ago, all of a sudden it's trying to
-
sneak back in us right now because
-
people are because people don't know the
-
nature of God.
-
He doesn't steal. He doesn't kill. He
-
doesn't destroy.
-
So, anyway, I got to keep moving here.
-
So,
-
um
-
he says, "Well, God's got everything
-
under control." Well, that's great. It's
-
just not Bible.
-
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the
-
Holy Ghost and power, who went about
-
doing good. He do It says, "How God
-
anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy
-
Ghost and something else another time."
-
But, he went about doing good and good
-
and healing
-
How many? No. He went about doing good.
-
Okay.
-
How many did he not heal? None. Not
-
every any difference. We see it back
-
there. He went about doing good and
-
healing all that were oppressed of the
-
devil. Why? Cuz God's with him.
-
If God's with him, then God's going to
-
do what God All that were oppressed of
-
the devil, for God was with him.
-
And then he goes on and preaches Jesus'
-
death, which changed the course of
-
planet Earth,
-
burial and resurrection. And while he
-
yet spake these words, the whole There's
-
a lot of Gentiles on the planet.
-
There's like 8.6 billion of us on planet
-
Earth and I don't know how many of us
-
are on the way. I'm going to finish with
-
this and just say we are going to take
-
time just a few minutes.
-
This has been rolling around in me for
-
about a week now. We need to have time
-
for people to get healing in their
-
bodies. Okay, well, I haven't got time
-
for that. The meat's in the in the in
-
the oven. Well, I understand that. But
-
if you need healing in your body and
-
you've got sickness, you got disease,
-
you got some kind of infirmity, you want
-
to be ministered to for healing. If you
-
just stand to your feet, we're going to
-
take time to pray to minister to you.
-
Going to lay hands on you if you so
-
desire.
-
It's uh it's available.
-
Anybody here that says that's me, I need
-
a healing in my body.
-
My body's sick. I got a physical issues,
-
sickness, disease. I've got things going
-
on in my body. I need a healing in my
-
body.
-
If that's you,
-
if that's you, we'll do our job.
-
Thank God for the Thank God for the
-
gospel.
-
Okay? Jesus went about doing good,
-
healing
-
all. Well, if you're part of all, that
-
belongs to you. It's not a matter of
-
does he or will he, it's a matter of did
-
he.
-
He went He went around planet Earth
-
healing all that were oppressed of the
-
devil for God is with him.
-
So, anyway, so, okay. So, if you need
-
healing in your body, if you want to
-
step out into the aisle, come down to
-
the front. We'll take time to lay hands
-
on you.
-
Believe God with you.
-
I'm not a healer, but I know the I know
-
the one that is.
-
I'm going to ask Pastor Janet to come
-
down.
-
Head for one end of the
-
one end of the row and I'll go to the
-
other end.
-
Thank you, dear Father.
-
I remember the first time I got healed
-
in my body. I was in a
-
ba- basement of a American Baptist
-
church
-
having a prayer meeting with a bunch of
-
kids that had just gotten saved.
-
And uh
-
I was having allergy issues.
-
Supposed to be going back to the campus
-
to get shots from out for al- all
-
stuff going on.
-
And I remember saying, "Lord,
-
do you heal today? Nobody's ever told
-
me. I never heard that. I don't know if
-
you're Do you heal? Do you do still Do
-
you still do things like that?"
-
All I did was I didn't ask for it. I
-
just asked a question.
-
Within about 15 seconds, every symptom
-
left my body and it never did come back.
-
I'm so thankful for that. I didn't know.
-
God's doing everything he can to get
-
results out to us.
-
Hallelujah. He doesn't withhold any good
-
thing from us.
-
So, anyway,
-
we're going to take time to to uh
-
come down the line. We're going to lay
-
hands on each one of you. I'm probably
-
not going to ask you what's wrong. Not
-
going to ask you what uh
-
the prognosis, diagnosis is. Okay? If I
-
was doing the healing, I might, but I'm
-
not, so I won't.
-
But I will I'll come by. Pastor Janet
-
will be at the other end of the line.
-
We'll come by, lay hands on you. It
-
doesn't It doesn't matter if you feel
-
anything. It doesn't It's not what you
-
feel, it's what you take.
-
All right.
-
Well, what if I fall? Well, you might
-
you might not. You don't get healed cuz
-
you fall, you get healed cuz you
-
receive.
-
It's not what you feel, it's what you
-
It's what you take.
-
Hallelujah. So, Father, in the name of
-
Jesus,
-
>> [music]
-
>> thank you so much.
-
So, everybody If you just reach your
-
hands out here. Father, in the name of
-
Jesus, I thank you so much for all these
-
that have come to get healing in their
-
body, thank you, Father.
-
Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. You
-
went about doing good healing.
-
You went about doing good healing all
-
that were oppressed of the devil because
-
God was with you. Well, God's with us.
-
He's with us this morning. So, we're
-
going to just do our part.
-
We're going to do our part, going to lay
-
hands on folks that need healing in
-
their body. And thank you, Lord. We
-
believe the power of God will flow into
-
their body from the top of their head to
-
the soles of their feet [music] in
-
Jesus' wonderful name, Father.
-
Hallelujah. Glory to God. So, we thank
-
you, Father.
-

-
name.

[music]

your waist down [music] and spread just

-
in there.
-
So, I don't feel anything. Well, check
-
it when you get home.
-
Somebody just got a healing in there.
-
Hallelujah.
-
And the arteries.
-
This the artery near the heart issue.
-
Something around the heart power God's
-
working in there. I don't know what it
-
is. Apparently, you do. [music]
-
Power God's healing that right now.
-
In fact, there's healing flowing through
-
the room.
-
>> [music]

-
Thank [music] you. Thank you. Thank you.
-
Thank you.
-
I got that. I got that. I got that.
-
Yeah.
-
I understand. I understand.
-
I understand.
-
>> [music]
-
>> Somewhere in the lower abdominal area.
-
Down the lower abdominal area.
-
>> [music]
-
>> It's just recent. This has not been
-
there a long time. It's just recent
-
you've uh discovered some symptoms there
-
>> [music]
-
>> and the power of God's working on that
-
right now. In fact, from the top of your
-
head to the soles of your feet, but in
-
[music] the lower abdominal area,
-
there's somebody that's having a problem
-
right there.
-
Uh man or woman, I don't know.
-
One or the other. Hallelujah.
-
There's only only [music] two.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Glory to God.
-
If you need a healing in that area, just
-
reach your hands up. Say, "I'll take my
-
healing right [music] now.
-
I'll take my healing right now.
-
Jesus paid the price.
-
He paid the price. He paid the price.
-
Thank [music] you, Lord. You got
-
anything got anything, baby?
-
Hallelujah. Glory to God.
-
Glory glory glory. Hallelujah. Something
-
in the What is that? The carotid artery.
-
Something in the carotid artery. I don't
-
know what that is. I just know where it
-
is.
-
Something in the carotid artery. Power
-
of God's working on that right now.
-
Folks are getting healed of all kinds of
-
things.
-
This is just a warm-up.
-
Come back Friday night.
-
Bring the sick, the halt, the lame.
-
Got I'll finish with this. Got friends
-
that did a meeting in Canada years ago.
-
And they uh
-
They said when they started the meeting,
-
they said, "Bring all the sick. Bring
-
the lame. Bring the halt. Bring, you
-
know, bring it."
-
>> [music]
-
>> I mean, they just wound it right up.
-
Bring everybody. Bring the sick people.
-
Well, they did.
-
And that night
-
an angel showed up in the service. A
-
lady was
-
destined to have a heart transplant if
-
at anything. They basically [music] said
-
medical science couldn't do a thing to
-
help her. Angel shows up, brings a heart
-
in. She gets an instant miracle. Her
-
heart is totally [music] healed. By the
-
next day, she can do anything she wants.
-
They came from all over the country to
-
get in that meeting.
-
So, uh
-
bring folks.
-
Well, I just don't know if they'll get
-
healed or not. Well, it's kind of hard
-
to get them healed if they don't have
-
the opportunity to.
-
Find folks that need it. Hallelujah. If
-
you need it, be here.
-
Be here.
-
Hallelujah. And I'll tell you, the less
-
people know, the easier it is to get
-
them healed.
-
The less people know about the power of
-
God, the less they know about healing
-
and
-
the less they know about that, easier
-
[music] it is to get them healed.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Now, if you'll just bow your heads,
-
close your eyes for a moment.
-
Uh
-
like I said, I remember 1972. I remember
-
uh running from God. Wasn't interested
-
in the things of God.
-
Wasn't interested at all. Didn't like
-
it.
-
Didn't know how much I believed about
-
it.
-
Didn't know if I really believed
-
anything about it. My life My life was
-
on a bad path right there. November
-
1972, just actually a couple months
-
before that.
-
Long story before that. But, I finally
-
said, "God, I don't know anything about
-
all this. I just got to have some help."
-
I just need some help. I I need some
-
help from you.
-
Okay, I don't know anything about you. I
-
don't know what you do. I don't know
-
what you don't do. I just need some help
-
in here. Went to a meeting.
-
Prayed a prayer. Walked an aisle, prayed
-
a prayer. And here I am a few years
-
later.
-
Just took made one decision. Didn't feel
-
anything. Didn't notice any difference.
-
Just made a decision, I'm going to walk
-
with God.
-
No matter what this cost me, no matter
-
how difficult it is, I'm going to do
-
that. Well, I did. I am. And I'm still
-
here.
-
Hallelujah.
-
If you're in this room this morning,
-
and you uh
-
you don't know Jesus.
-
You don't know anything about him.
-
If you've never invited him into your
-
life. Never been born again. Never Never
-
been saved.
-
Never taken a step the right Never taken
-
a step his direction.
-
Well, I'm waiting for him to do
-
something. No, he's waiting for you. He
-
did his part 2,000 years ago.
-
If you're here and you say I've never
-
made Jesus Lord of my life.
-
I'm away from God. My life's away from
-
God. There's a lot of trouble between
-
God and me and it's not his fault. If
-
that's you, I want to pray for you. If
-
you just raise your hand up. Say,
-
"Pastor, pray for me. I want to I want I
-
want to invite Jesus into my life.
-
I'm tired of running from him. I'm tired
-
of the mess my life's in. I'm tired of
-
things going wrong. I'm tired I'm tired
-
of my life being goofed up. I would
-
please pray for me." If that's you, wave
-
wave your hand at me.
-
Anyone here?
-
Hallelujah.
-
Glory to God.
-
Thank you, dear Father.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Well, Father, we thank you in the
-
wonderful name of Jesus. Thank you so
-
much.
-
Thank you that the Lord's good. Thank
-
you for those that have been healed this
-
morning. Thank you, Father, the work's
-
working mightily in us. Thank you, dear
-
Father.
-
Affecting a healing and a cure from the
-
top of our head to the soles of our
-
feet.
-
And we thank you for it in the wonderful
-
name of Jesus, Father.
-
Thank you for this crowd. Thank you,
-
Father, for this great Father's Day.
-
Thank you for ministering to and through
-
the fathers.
-
May this upcoming year be the best ever.
-
We thank you for it in Jesus' name.
