  1. I heard about a meeting that was going

  2. at the University of Michigan

  3. remember it. They held it in the uh I

  4. think it was in the basketball arena.

  5. I'm not real sure, but it was about I

  6. don't know 30

  7. isn't

  8. know what it was. I heard that meant,

  9. didn't he? What? I didn't know what

  10. Catholic was. Guy had been to a Catholic

  11. church one time. Couldn't figure out

  12. what all the water was about. all the

  13. kneeling, all the holy water or whatever

  14. it was. I didn't know, but I thought,

  15. I'm going to go. I just got in my car

  16. and left. And I drove over there and

  17. went into that place. And all I know is

  18. I parked my car, went in there, and um

  19. it was I would say I don't know, maybe

  20. 2,000, maybe 3,000, maybe I don't know.

  21. Couldn't even take a wild guess of um

  22. spiritfilled, Holy Ghost fil, Bible

  23. believing, tongue-talking,

  24. uh Catholics, priests, nuns, and there

  25. was just a spirit of worship that moved

  26. into that place. I was in there. I don't

  27. know. I was in there probably an hour,

  28. hour and a half, something like that

  29. before I had to turn around and go back

  30. home. But looking back in there, I

  31. thought, I don't know what this is. I

  32. don't know what this is all about. But

  33. this this presence, this is something I

  34. want in my life. I want this. And uh

  35. like I said, that's been a few years ago

  36. now. But I believe that's where the

  37. church is headed. I believe there's got

  38. he who hungers and thirsts after

  39. righteousness going to get filled. I

  40. believe there's a a hunger coming in the

  41. church world for the presence of God.

  42. Once you get around that, you you just

  43. can't you just can't settle for anything

  44. less. Once you get around the glory,

  45. nothing nothing takes its place. You

  46. know, we could we could spend a lot of

  47. time talking about that this morning. I

  48. don't plan to right now, but we could

  49. spend a lot of time talking about the

  50. meetings we've been in. We were in a

  51. meeting in Atlanta one time. The glory

  52. of God was about three or four feet

  53. thick just across the top of the

  54. building. You walked in there, looked

  55. up, and it's just this thick white fog

  56. all over the top of the building. We

  57. were one in Pontiac, Michigan. Same

  58. thing there. We've had the privilege at

  59. numerous times over the past 35 years,

  60. something like that, to get in places

  61. where the manifested presence of God was

  62. there. And boy, sometimes bodies were

  63. healed, people's lives were changed.

  64. There's just something about getting

  65. into that place. It's worth it's worth

  66. making the investment to get in the

  67. presence of God. And that's just up to

  68. us. Well, if God wants to do it, he can

  69. just do it. No, he wants to do it. He's

  70. just looking for people that want him to

  71. do it. He's looking for folks that'll

  72. say, "God, I I'm hungry for what you've

  73. got. I'm hungry for what you're uh

  74. you're uh in the process of doing, and

  75. I'm on board. Something's in the works."

  76. I know. Uh uh we had we had uh our

  77. healing and miracle service uh Friday

  78. night and I know Angela made the

  79. statement. She's talking about different

  80. places. I think Germany, England,

  81. France,

  82. Italy, places over there that Pastor Jan

  83. and I been we've been going there for

  84. years and years and it's it's been good.

  85. But we're getting reports of young

  86. people, groups of young people on the

  87. streets out there on their knees and on

  88. their faces worshiping God. Something's

  89. happening. Something's happening and

  90. it's going to go global. It's just up to

  91. us if we want to get in it or not. I I'm

  92. on board.

  93. >> Hallelujah. Glory to God. Well, Father,

  94. we thank you in the wonderful name of

  95. Jesus. We thank you, Father, for your

  96. presence. In your presence is fullness

  97. of joy. Your right hand pleasures ever

  98. more. Father, thank you. We we have a we

  99. have a longing for your presence and an

  100. appreciation for your presence. And so,

  101. Father, we're going to do what we know

  102. to do in the days and weeks and months

  103. and how however much time we got left.

  104. We're going to do all we know to do to

  105. make you comfortable in our place to to

  106. make sure you are uh you're you're glad

  107. to come here. And we thank you. We don't

  108. want you just to come for a visitation.

  109. We want you to come for habitation. And

  110. we thank you for it in the wonderful

  111. name of Jesus. Glory to God. And so now,

  112. we thank you for the remainder of this

  113. service this morning. Thank you, Father,

  114. for ministering to us. Thank you,

  115. Father. And and it's in your presence.

  116. That's when bodies are healed and needs

  117. are met. Answers come. So we thank you

  118. for that in the wonderful name of Jesus.

  119. Father, thank you more than anything for

  120. your presence with us, with us, in us,

  121. among us, around us, to us, for us.

  122. We're thankful for it in Jesus name.

  123. Father, hallelujah. Amen. Amen. Glory to

  124. God. Well, it's good to see everyone

  125. this morning. Good to have you here.

  126. Glory to God. Got nice good Oklahoma

  127. weather.

  128. We got past the uh rain, most of it, I

  129. think. But anyway, um let's open our

  130. Bibles for a little bit to uh the book

  131. of Colossians where the Apostle Paul's

  132. writing this letter to the Colossian

  133. church and Colossians chapter 1. We'll

    Colossians 1 chapter mention

  134. just share a few things in here

  135. and see where we go.

  136. got a good week coming up.

  137. >> 250 years. Pretty amazing. I don't know

  138. where that's going to go, but there

  139. we're going to have a service next uh

  140. Sunday morning. Uh you want to be here,

  141. and I would recommend you get here on

  142. time. You don't want to try to find a

  143. way to get in after it begins. Um make

  144. sure you come in, get a seat, bring

  145. folks with you. We're going to celebrate

  146. 250 years.

  147. You know, you stop and think there's a

  148. lot we could cover, but what God's

  149. enabled us to do, we've done everything.

  150. We've we've been the big brother to wars

  151. around the the world, World War I, World

  152. War II, we've got the Middle Eastern. We

  153. We've been able to have God use us to

  154. set a lot of people free and to keep

  155. freedom in our nation. Yes, sir. There's

  156. a lot of things that could have, should

  157. have, would have happened in this

  158. nation, but God's protected us and taken

  159. care of us. And I'm thankful for that.

  160. >> Very thankful for that. Hallelujah.

  161. Glory to God. Praise God. Well, have you

  162. found Colossians chapter 1 yet.

    Colossians 1 chapter mention

  163. Colossians chapter 1. I'm going to kind

    Colossians 1 chapter mention

  164. of cut it a little short here, but Paul

  165. writing here to the Colossian believers,

  166. he says in verse 12, he said, "Giving

  167. thanks to the Father." Well, that's kind

  168. of what we've been doing this morning,

  169. giving thanks to him. He's worthy of

  170. that. But he says, "Giving thanks unto

  171. the Father, which has made us meat, we'd

  172. say worthy, uh, able." He's made us meat

  173. to be partakers of the inheritance of

  174. the saints in light. God's made us, how

  175. do he say that? He's made us meat, made

  176. us able, made us worthy to be partakers

  177. of the inheritance of the saints,

  178. walking in the light. Once you get born

  179. again, you start walking in the light.

  180. There's an inheritance you have. You

  181. become a child of God. You got his

  182. genetics flowing in your veins.

  183. >> And he goes on in here. He says, he

  184. says, "Giving thanks to the father which

  185. has made us meat, able, worthy." He had

  186. to make us worthy. You and I, we never

  187. could be worthy.

  188. >> Work all we want, trial we want. We can

  189. never make ourselves worthy. But he said

  190. he's the one that made us meat, able,

  191. qualified to be partakers of the

  192. inheritance of the saints. And light.

  193. I'm so glad he made me worthy of that. I

  194. remember I remember when things started

  195. making sense to me. It was uh November

  196. 1972 and all of a sudden I began to get

  197. my life right with God and all and and

  198. there was suddenly there was this place

  199. where I knew I was right with God. I

  200. knew I hadn't been before that been

  201. running away instead of running to but I

  202. started getting over into a place where

  203. I knew that I was in a position with

  204. him. I knew things were right between

  205. God and me. I you know when you go in

  206. life and you're not things are not where

  207. they should be and it's not God's fault

  208. and then when you get it switched around

  209. where things are where they should be

  210. you know the difference.

  211. >> Anybody else ever been down that road?

  212. >> But he goes on says giving thanks to the

  213. father verse 12 which has made us meet

  214. or able to be partakers of the

  215. inheritance of the saints in light. It's

  216. in light. It only works walking in the

  217. light. If you walk in darkness it just

  218. doesn't work. But he says in the light.

  219. Now verse 13. Now he says who hath

  220. delivered us. This is part I'm looking

  221. for to start with. Who has delivered us?

  222. Who has delivered us?

  223. >> Who has delivered us?

  224. >> Not can be, will be, could be, should

  225. be. Who has delivered us who has

  226. delivered us from what?

  227. >> The power of darkness. And has

  228. translated us into the kingdom of his

  229. dear son. Well, he's done that. He has

  230. delivered us from the power of darkness.

  231. >> You know, um

  232. actually we were uh Pastor Janet and I

  233. were in doing a we're doing a meeting.

  234. We're in a conference and there was some

  235. there were some meetings going in

  236. different meeting rooms in this place we

  237. were at and um finished up the service

  238. we had and I know a lady a lady came up

  239. after the service came walking up there

  240. and she pretty bold about it and she

  241. walked up and she said uh I need to be

  242. delivered

  243. and I thought okay I'm not real sure

  244. what this is about but we'll see. And I

  245. said you do. She said I do. I said, "Who

  246. told you?" She said, "I just know." And

  247. I said, "How do you know?" "I just know

  248. I need to be delivered." I said, "What

  249. do you need to be delivered of? I got a

  250. lot of stuff I need to be delivered of."

  251. I said, "Well, how do you know you need

  252. to be delivered?" "Well, I just know

  253. that I don't." And she was she was kind

  254. of getting a little aggravated at me.

  255. And I said, "Well, yeah." I said, "You

  256. know," I said, "I'll tell you what. I

  257. have good news for you." Boy, her face

  258. lit up. She said, "You do?" I said,

  259. "Yes, I've got really good news for

  260. you." I said, "Do you have a do you

  261. happen to have a Bible with you?" I

  262. noticed she didn't. So, I knew she was

  263. in trouble already.

  264. And I said, "Do you have a Bible with

  265. you?" And I said, "Here, look at mine."

  266. And I said, "Let's look over at

  267. Colossians chapter 1 verse, I think it's

    Colossians 1 chapter mention

  268. verse 13. Let's let's look at that where

  269. it says, "Giving thanks unto the Father,

  270. who has uh made us able to be partakers

  271. of the inheritance of the saints in

  272. light." Who has? I said, "Now read that

  273. to me."

  274. And I said, "Read that to me." She said,

  275. "Who has?" I said, "Read it again. Who

  276. has what?" I said, "Has what?" "Has has

  277. done what?" "Has delivered us from the

  278. power of darkness and has done what?"

  279. "And has translated us into the kingdom

  280. of his dear son or the son of his love."

  281. I said, "What did that say?" Said,

  282. "Well, it says he has delivered." I

  283. said, "Well, did he or didn't he?" I

  284. said, "You're trying to get what he's

  285. already done. You're trying to get God

  286. to do something that he did 2,000 years

  287. ago. You want me to do something to get

  288. you set free from what he set you free

  289. from 2,000 years ago." And I said,

  290. "You're trying to get something already

  291. belongs to you." And then she got really

  292. aggravated.

  293. She said, "You're not getting rid of me

  294. that easy." I said, "I'm not trying to

  295. get rid of you." I said, "I'm trying to

  296. help you." I said, I said, "The Bible

  297. said he's has delivered us from the

  298. power of darkness." And he has already,

  299. past tense, he has delivered us from the

  300. power of darkness and has what?

  301. >> He's delivered me. And he's

  302. >> translated me. Delivered means he set me

  303. free from it. I don't know about you,

  304. did you get set free from something when

  305. you got right with God?

  306. >> We won't even go down that road.

  307. >> Said he has delivered us from all the

  308. power of darkness and has what?

  309. Translated us. Translated. Well, we've

  310. been working we've working with worked

  311. with interpreters, you know, for 47

  312. years now. All over the world, over 50

  313. nations worked with interpreters, you

  314. know, interpret like somebody said,

  315. there's interpreters, then there's

  316. interrupters.

  317. We've had lots of both. But anyway, so

  318. but you go back through there. Who has

  319. delivered us from the power of darkness

  320. and has translated has translated us

  321. into the kingdom of of his dear son.

  322. He's delivered us and he's translated

  323. us. He's transferred us. He's changed

  324. us. I know what it's like to be around

  325. an interpreter where somebody takes what

  326. you say and changes what you say into

  327. something else. You know, he said he

  328. delivered us from the power of darkness

  329. and he

  330. translated us into the kingdom of his

  331. dear son. I know what it's like to get

  332. translated out of something. I know what

  333. my life was like in 1972 and I know what

  334. it was like by 1974. Everything had

  335. changed. I got delivered and I got

  336. translated. Took a little while to get

  337. there. Had to have some help, but he

  338. delivered me from the power of darkness

  339. and he translated me into the kingdom of

  340. his dear son. Well, anyway, this lady's

  341. still standing there and I'm trying to

  342. explain to her what you want is what

  343. you've already got. You're trying to get

  344. delivered and the Bible said you've

  345. already been delivered. God just needs

  346. you to rejoice over what you are instead

  347. of what you're trying to get. And she

  348. said, 'Well, you're not getting rid of

  349. me that easy. I said, 'Ma'am, I'm not

  350. trying to get rid of you. I'm trying to

  351. help you, but I can't help you if you

  352. don't believe the Bible. I'll give you

  353. the Bible, then you make a decision

  354. whether you're going to take it or leave

  355. it. Well, then she got really

  356. aggravated. I said, I tell you what, I

  357. don't have all the answers, you know,

  358. and there's other people. There's other

  359. classes going on around here. I know

  360. somebody that's in such and such a room

  361. down the hall, and I know they're

  362. they're a good Bible person. And I'll

  363. tell you what, you go, maybe I don't

  364. have the answer you're looking for. You

  365. go down there, go into that room. The

  366. class should be over by now. Go in there

  367. and just ask them if they can get you

  368. delivered of this, whatever it is. And

  369. boy, she kind of stomped off. And u

  370. uh the guy that was doing that other

  371. class, I saw him a couple days later and

  372. I said, "Oh, I've been meaning to catch

  373. you. I be delivered." He said, "Ma'am, I

  374. got good news for you." and when I over

  375. on this side.

  376. >> But then he says in verse 14, son, now

  377. verse 14, in whom we have

  378. >> no, we're not trying to get delivered.

  379. We got

  380. >> redemption.

  381. The Bible is all about redemption.

  382. >> And that's really what he's endeavoring

  383. to get across to us here. He says, "In

  384. whom we have redemption through his

  385. blood, even the forgiveness of sins." He

  386. paid the price. He's already paid the

  387. price for us. in whom we have

  388. redemption. In whom we we have had to

  389. have redemption since the first couple

  390. chapters of the book of Genesis.

  391. Uh you know, Adam had it made all right.

  392. He was related to God. God God breathed

  393. his own life into Adam. He had he had uh

  394. uh really spirit, soul, and body. He was

  395. in good shape. He was related to God.

  396. Then if you come back around here, he

  397. had he was spirit, soul, and body. He

  398. was a three-part being and he had God's

  399. this ability. You ever stop think about

  400. it? He he had he was smart.

  401. >> Three yeps on that. Okay. He was he was

  402. a smart guy. You You ever stop thinking

  403. about that?

  404. God saw it wasn't good for Adam to be

  405. alone. So, he brought all the creatures

  406. to him and he said, "Here, name them."

  407. He named every one of them. How'd you

  408. like to do that? I don't know how many

  409. there were back then, but he named every

  410. one of them. named everyone. And the

  411. best part was not only did he name them,

  412. but he remembered what he named them.

  413. So, not only did he have a supernatural

  414. mind, he had a supernatural memory.

  415. Memory is a supernatural thing.

  416. >> It doesn't go away when you get old. It

  417. just doesn't go away at all. Memory is a

  418. supernatural thing. It works on the

  419. inside. It comes from heaven. And when

  420. you get you get born again, you've got

  421. the wisdom of of God. You've got the

  422. intelligence of God. You got the memory

  423. of God.

  424. Adam remembered what he named all those

  425. creatures and there were probably a lot

  426. of them. Okay, so he had supernatural

  427. intelligence, supernatural memory. He

  428. was blessed. I mean, God told him even

  429. where the gold was buried.

  430. >> Why would he do that? The mall wasn't

  431. here yet. The outlet mall wasn't open.

  432. Eve hadn't showed up yet.

  433. [laughter]

  434. And we'll just keep going here for a

  435. little bit longer. Is that smart? I'm

  436. being informed that that's a smart move.

  437. Yes.

  438. >> Wisdom.

  439. >> That's wisdom. Yeah. Wisdom is

  440. justified. Anyway,

  441. anyway, if you go back through there,

  442. Adam had he had it made. He had he had

  443. blessing. He knew where the gold was

  444. buried because the day was going to come

  445. he was going to need it. He knew where

  446. the gold was buried. He had supernatural

  447. intelligence, supernatural memory. He

  448. had uh you stop think there was no

  449. sickness or disease on planet earth that

  450. we could find. And if we look at the end

  451. of chapter one of the book of Genesis,

  452. God saw everything he made and it was

  453. >> it was very good.

  454. >> It was very God liked what he made. He

  455. saw it wasn't good for man to be alone.

  456. So he made all these critters and that

  457. still wasn't enough. So he took a rib.

  458. Do you know

  459. Wisdom.

  460. >> I wisdom. Thank you. [laughter]

  461. Sometimes you just got to know when to

  462. step over to wisdom.

  463. Sometimes you got to say, I think that's

  464. what was in that rib. But anyway,

  465. I think it's about time for us to quit

  466. and go home. We We'll come back next

  467. week when we're 250 years old. But

  468. anyway,

  469. [laughter]

  470. Yep. I'm getting agreement from row one

  471. over here.

  472. But Adam had all he had everything going

  473. for him. Um he didn't need redemption.

  474. Spirit, soul, and body. He had the life

  475. of God in him. He had the wisdom of of

  476. God. He had the intelligence of God. He

  477. had the blessing of God. He had

  478. everything. Everything was good. He's

  479. he's got Eve. He's got family.

  480. Everything's going good. And all of a

  481. sudden, he makes one

  482. bad move and he eats out of that tree.

  483. God said, "Don't do not eat of the tree

  484. of knowledge of good and evil, for in

  485. the day that you do, you will surely

  486. >> die." Heard a guy on the radio one time

  487. said he was a preacher, I guess. But

  488. anyway, he said, uh, he said, "God lied

  489. to Adam." And I thought, "You're in

  490. trouble already, buddy."

  491. Said, "God lied to Adam." He said, "If

  492. you eat of that tree, you'll die." He

  493. ate of that tree, and he didn't die. And

  494. I thought, "Because you don't know what

  495. death is."

  496. >> But anyway, another story. Now, so he's

  497. uh uh looking back over there, we look

  498. at at um Adam's got everything going for

  499. him except he just made one bad move.

  500. Adam and Eve ate of the tree that God

  501. told him to or the fruit God told them

  502. to stay away from the tree of knowledge

  503. of good and evil and could have had the

  504. tree. Think about it. They could have

  505. had the tree of life and just stayed

  506. there.

  507. God said, "Put angel there and protect

  508. the tree from them in case they don't

  509. eat that tree because if they do,

  510. they'll live forever." The tree of life

  511. was there. And so anyway, we look back

  512. there and you've got Adam and Eve. You

  513. they've got everything going for him.

  514. And God said, "If you eat of that tree,

  515. you will die." And he did. He God came

  516. looking for him to fellowship with him.

  517. He said, "Where are you?" He said, "I

  518. hid myself." Why? I was naked. How'd you

  519. know you were naked? Well, I just knew.

  520. Why? Did you eat of that tree? He said,

  521. 'Well, yeah, I did.' She told me to.

  522. That's it.

  523. Blair's going to get in trouble over

  524. here. He's next in line.

  525. And we again probably better quit pretty

  526. soon. But anyway, anyway, we go back

  527. through there. And so from that moment,

  528. from the time Adam and Eve ate of the

  529. tree, God told them to stay away from

  530. the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

  531. The minute they did that, they fell.

  532. They they disassociated themselves from

  533. God. They chose a new master. They chose

  534. a new leader. They chose a new Lord.

  535. They chose they chose uh that stupid

  536. talking snake. Did all that. And and and

  537. God said, Genesis 3:15, he said, "I will

    Genesis 3:15

  538. put enmity between thee and the woman,

  539. between thy seed and her seed. He'll

  540. bruise thy head, thou shalt bruise his

  541. heel." What'd he do? He said, "I'm going

  542. to have to redeem you. You paid a price,

  543. and you can't fix yourself. You can do

  544. anything you want. You know, they they

  545. put together fig leaves to try to cover

  546. themselves up. They had to have skin.

  547. Something had to die. Something had to

  548. pay the price for their mistake. And so

  549. you go back there and God said, "I will

  550. put emnity between thee and the woman,

  551. between thy seed and her seed, he'll

  552. bruise thy head, thou shalt bruise his

  553. heel." God told him, "I will fix this.

  554. I will fix this." And last I checked it

  555. was um it was about roughly through

  556. 3,200 years

  557. before God

  558. uh gave a vision to Isaiah and showed

  559. him what redemption looked like. It took

  560. a long time to bring that about. God God

  561. prophesied the coming of Jesus.

  562. Prophesied his death, his burial, his

  563. resurrection, his ministry. Prophesied

  564. everything about Jesus. Prophesied all

  565. through the Old Testament. He kept

  566. talking about Jesus coming. He kept he

  567. kept doing that until the word was made

  568. flesh and dwelt among us. We beheld his

  569. glory. The glory is of the only begotten

  570. of the father full of grace and truth.

  571. He uh God did everything to get it ready

  572. for us. But it took about 3,000 years to

  573. get it all there. But he said, "I will

  574. put em put enmity between thee and the

  575. woman, between thy seed and her seed."

  576. Then so you go back through there and

  577. man had to have a redeemer. Redeem means

  578. to purchase, pay for. Somebody somebody

  579. had to pay for those mistakes.

  580. I've used the example before. Had an

  581. uncle that um he was he was pretty

  582. rowdy. Uh actually he was a great guy.

  583. He he and my aunt lived in their family

  584. lived in Dallas. And I went down to see

  585. him when I moved down here to go to

  586. Rama. I went drove down to see him. And

  587. um and um I I knew I knew he'd had a

  588. pretty rough background. So, I'm sitting

  589. there talking to my uncle and I said,

  590. "You know, you you just need to get

  591. saved." I said it nicely and he said,

  592. "Wouldn't wouldn't be right for me to

  593. get saved." So, he'd heard about it

  594. before. He said, "It wouldn't be right

  595. for me to get saved." I said, "Doesn't

  596. matter whether it's right or not. You

  597. need to Well, it wouldn't be right for

  598. me to get saved. Wouldn't be right. It

  599. wouldn't be right for me to go to

  600. heaven. Wouldn't it wouldn't be right

  601. for me to accept Jesus. Wouldn't be

  602. right for me to be saved." I said, "Why

  603. do you say that?" He said, "Uh, well, it

  604. just wouldn't be right." I said, 'Wh

  605. wouldn't it be right?' He said, 'It just

  606. wouldn't. I said, ' Tell me, why would

  607. it not be right?' He said, 'All I've

  608. done, He said, 'I've done so much bad

  609. stuff. He said, 'I, he says, I've done

  610. so much stuff. He said, uh, somebody's

  611. got to pay for that.

  612. And I said, right now, you're smarter

  613. than most of the body of Christ.

  614. You know, somebody had to pay for that.

  615. I said, the good part, the bad part is

  616. somebody's got to pay. The good part is

  617. somebody already did pay.

  618. >> I said, somebody already paid for your

  619. mistakes. Somebody already paid for

  620. everything you did. Somebody doesn't

  621. matter. I said, you know, the guy named

  622. Saul of Tarsus, he was killing

  623. Christians. Have you been doing that?

  624. Well, no. And I said, well, you haven't

  625. been as bad as him and he got saved,

  626. wrote half the New Testament. I said,

  627. you know, you can get help,

  628. but it's up to you. You got you've got

  629. to make the decision. And uh you know, I

  630. last I I never did find out. Hadn't I

  631. didn't see him again after that, but um

  632. I don't know if he made the decision or

  633. not. I think my aunt did. And I think

  634. maybe Mon did. I'm not real sure. I know

  635. some of my cousins have. I do know that

  636. much. But he he said, "It just wouldn't

  637. be right for me to go." Why? Because

  638. somebody needs to pay the price. That's

  639. what redemption's all about. When Adam

  640. made the mistake, as an Adam, all fell.

  641. He He made the mistake. And and that,

  642. you know, death came on the entire

  643. world. It all came on all of us. For all

  644. of sin had come short of the glory of

  645. God. He's already, you know, he he uh he

  646. got us in trouble. Adam got us in in

  647. trouble over all that. Made that

  648. mistake. And um

  649. God said, "I'll take care of this. It's

  650. going to take me a while, but I will

  651. take care of this." And so, we get down

  652. the road. Let's take a look real quickly

  653. over at Isaiah the the uh 53rd chapter

  654. just for a moment, and we'll finish this

  655. up for this morning. Isaiah 53.

  656. Isaiah the 53rd chapter.

  657. So if we go back through here, I mean,

  658. you stop and think about it.

  659. For all have sinned and come short of

  660. the glory of God. Somebody's got to pay.

  661. Somebody had to pay for all that. Nobody

  662. could do it. There was not there was not

  663. righteous blood on planet earth. There

  664. was no blood that was available. There

  665. was no sinless, spotless lamb of God.

  666. There was nobody to do it. God only had

  667. one son and he gave him. And up until

  668. that point, there was nobody to pay the

  669. price for us. Nobody else could do that.

  670. We could try to get I remember a good

  671. friend of mine uh

  672. right after I got right with God sitting

  673. in front of the

  674. grocery store down there. We were

  675. sitting in the in the parking lot out

  676. there and uh he he had a bit of an

  677. alcohol problem and we were sitting

  678. there talking. I said, "Man, you you uh

  679. you need to get right with God. You

  680. know, you just need to you just need to

  681. make a decision to get right with God."

  682. He said, "I am doing everything I know

  683. to do to get right with God. I'm trying

  684. to do everything good. I'm trying to do

  685. everything right." And I said, "You're

  686. never going to do everything right.

  687. You've proved that all already. You've

  688. done everything wrong. You're never

  689. going to do everything right. It's not

  690. what you can do. It's what somebody did

  691. for you. Somebody's had to pay the price

  692. for you. You're going to have to make

  693. the decision.

  694. Well, I'm trying. Well, I said, quit

  695. trying and just do it. All you got to do

  696. is say, "Jesus, I make you Lord of my

  697. life." And let him do what he does. He's

  698. the one that paid the price. He's the

  699. one that shed his blood. He's the one

  700. that died. Well, I know. I'm just

  701. trying. I'm just trying. Well, I'll back

  702. it up a little bit. He uh uh actually we

  703. still stay in contact. Every Christmas

  704. we make a telephone call and um uh I

  705. knew him, I knew his wife. She was in

  706. another school system and u I I talked

  707. to them one time and I said just wanted

  708. to know and I named him and I said and

  709. and I knew she'd actually I'd prayed led

  710. her to Jesus.

  711. Saw her one time after a meeting and I

  712. talked about getting saved and prayed a

  713. prayer with her. She married him a

  714. little bit later and I said, and I

  715. called and I said, I want to make sure

  716. this friend of mine, I want to make sure

  717. when he goes, because he was in pretty

  718. rough shape physically. I said, I want

  719. to make sure when he goes, he's going to

  720. heaven. She goes, oh, he knows who his

  721. savior is. He's got that all figured

  722. out. We watched we watch um

  723. got to get her name back. Anyway, um

  724. it'll come back.

  725. There's a lady uh minister said, "We

  726. watch her. We watch her all the time."

  727. And I thought, well, he got it. He got

  728. it set. You know, I don't know that he

  729. ever got what you call sanctified, but

  730. he sure got saved.

  731. But anyway, let me find a place to to

  732. shut this down.

  733. We'll probably pick this up another

  734. time. It's all about redemption.

  735. [snorts] Somebody had to pay the price.

  736. Somebody had to pay for what I did.

  737. Somebody had to pay for my mistakes.

  738. Somebody had to pay for what I did

  739. wrong. Somebody had to pay for what

  740. happened in my Somebody Somebody had to

  741. do the job. I I could work on it. I

  742. could try to, but somebody had to

  743. release me from the prison of sin and

  744. get me out of there. And nobody else

  745. could do it. The only one that could was

  746. the one that shed the blood. Bible said,

  747. "He entered once into the holy place,

  748. having obtained eternal redemption for

  749. us." He had the only blood on planet

  750. Earth or in the universe that could pay

  751. for my mistakes.

  752. And so, if we go back through here, just

  753. backing up, we'll make this real quick.

  754. If you go back through there

  755. that um from Genesis 2 on mankind was in

  756. trouble. God was covering the sins of

  757. mankind, covering them up with the blood

  758. of bulls and goats and so on. And then

  759. we get down the road and and 700 years

  760. before Jesus comes to planet earth

  761. before he takes on flesh to dwell among

  762. us. says in Isaiah 53,

  763. Isaiah says here, God says really to

  764. Isaiah said, "Who has believed our

  765. report?" He's going to start this out.

  766. What God did was he went back there 700

  767. years before Jesus came to planet earth,

  768. took on flesh to dwell among us. 700

  769. years before he came here, God gave

  770. Isaiah a picture of what redemption

  771. looked like. Nobody knew. Nobody had

  772. seen Jesus. They didn't know what he's

  773. going to look like, but he got a picture

  774. of this. God showed Isaiah a picture of

  775. the death, burial, and resurrection of

  776. Jesus. And we'll just hit a part of this

  777. now, but it says in 5 uh chapter 53

  778. verse one, who's believed our report. I

  779. like the way he starts out here. He

  780. didn't say this is working for

  781. everybody. He said, who's believed our

  782. report? This doesn't work for everybody.

  783. It only works for those that believe.

  784. >> Okay? For the friends of mine, I found

  785. out they believed. for my uncle. I think

  786. he believed, you know, but it was a

  787. choice. But he says here, "Who has

  788. believed our report? And to whom is the

  789. arm of the Lord revealed?" Isn't that

  790. what he said? Who's believed our report?

  791. And to whom is the arm of the Lord re

  792. the arm of the Lord? God doesn't roll

  793. his sleeves up and go to work for

  794. anybody except the ones that believe

  795. him.

  796. >> Amen.

  797. >> Who's believed our report? And to whom

  798. is the arm of the Lord revealed? Let's

  799. just jump down to verse four. And he

  800. begins to explain to us what redemption

  801. really looks like. Somebody had to pay

  802. the price. I couldn't do it. You

  803. couldn't do it. Nobody could do it. And

  804. only if there was only one human. There

  805. was only one person, only one with the

  806. with the uh blood, sinless, spotless

  807. lamb of of God. The blood says in verse

  808. four, surely,

  809. absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt,

  810. talking about Jesus, surely he hath

  811. what?

  812. >> Surely he's borne our griefs.

  813. What's he doing? He's going to tell us

  814. about redemption.

  815. Okay, the Bible said, "Let the redeemed

  816. of the Lord say so." He's going to tell

  817. us about redemption. Said, "Surely,

  818. surely, absolutely of the truth. Surely

  819. he has borne our griefs and carried our

  820. sorrows." That's not real clear to us.

  821. If you go back through, most

  822. translations say, "Surely he has borne

  823. our sickness and carried our pain."

  824. Absolutely, somebody had to pay for

  825. starts out saying, "Surely he's borne my

  826. sickness and carried my pain." Somebody

  827. had to pay for that. But then he goes on

  828. said, "But he was wounded for our

  829. transgressions." Well, let's go on. Hit

  830. one more verse here.

  831. Yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten

  832. of God, and afflicted. Verse five, but

  833. he was wounded for our transgressions.

  834. He was wounded for my transgressions. He

  835. paid the price. He was he was pierced

  836. for my mistakes.

  837. He did we did esteem him stricken,

  838. smitten of God, and afflicted. But he

  839. was wounded for my transgressions. He

  840. was bruised for my iniquities.

  841. The chastisement of my peace was upon

  842. him. And with his stripes, what did he

  843. say? We are healed. Mankind fell.

  844. Spirit, soul, and body. We had the mind

  845. of we we we had this amazing

  846. supernatural ability. We're smart. We

  847. had the mind of God working for us.

  848. Spirit, soul, and body. And in one

  849. swipe, Adam lost all that.

  850. three about 3,200 years later, God gives

  851. uh Isaiah a vision of what redemption

  852. looks like. Gives him a picture of this

  853. 700 years before Jesus takes on flesh

  854. and dwells among us. God shows it to to

  855. uh uh Isaiah shows him what it looks

  856. like and it said says right here, "But

  857. he was wounded for our transgressions,

  858. bruised for our iniquities. Chastisement

  859. of our peace was upon him and with his

  860. stripes we are healed. Man fell spirit,

  861. soul, and body. Jesus redeemed him.

  862. Redeemed us spirit, soul, and body.

  863. Somebody had to pay the price. It wasn't

  864. halfway done. It wasn't twothirds of the

  865. way done. We lost. We were lost. Spirit,

  866. soul, and body. God sent Jesus to pay

  867. for spirit, soul, and body. We Isaiah

  868. saw it. Jesus paid for it through his

  869. death, burial, and resurrection. Now we

  870. walk in it.

  871. >> Thank God for redemption.

  872. >> The price has already been paid. We can

  873. go back there and we can see it in

  874. Isaiah. We can see it in Genesis. We can

  875. see it all through the scriptures. But

  876. we do know from the scriptures the price

  877. has already been paid

  878. >> whose own self bear our sins in his own

  879. body on the tree. That we being dead to

  880. sin should live under righteousness. By

  881. whose stripes

  882. we are healed. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

  883. Let's all stand to our feet.
