Um, it'll be really good. We We got a
-
general idea of what direction things
-
are going to go. But, but this is who we
-
are.
-
This is this is who World Outreach
-
Church is. This is, you know, when when
-
uh
-
God began to deal with us in oh 98,
-
>> 97
-
six. He started dealing with us in 96.
-
It took him to 98 to get me talked into
-
it. Uh, I kept saying, "Lord, this is
-
great, but you got the wrong guy. I I
-
need to be on the road. I do not need to
-
be in one city." Um, and here we are 27
-
years later. So, anyway, um, but, you
-
know, going back through there and and
-
uh, you know, sincerely, I I really went
-
when when I realized God was leading us
-
to uh, pioneer plant a a church here in
-
Tulsa, Oklahoma, and I I said, "Lord, I
-
don't know how to do this." My wife grew
-
up in church. She knows all about
-
churches. Her dad was a pastor all of
-
her life. I just wasn't around church
-
that much. When I was, I wasn't paying
-
attention. Um, and so I don't know. I
-
don't know what I don't know what a
-
church is supposed to look like. And
-
honestly, we'd been to
-
uh we'd been at that time, we'd been to
-
churches in probably 45 nations. We'd
-
been to churches. We'd been to Bible
-
studies. We'd been we'd been all over.
-
We we'd been everywhere, man. We'd been
-
just everywhere. and um you know just
-
really just didn't honestly know what to
-
do. And I I said Lord if you would just
-
I I said I can't look out there and see
-
a church that looks like I mean they're
-
great ones but I can't look at anything
-
that looks like what I would say that's
-
what I think we're supposed to be
-
patterned after. Couldn't do that. I
-
couldn't see anything there. I go yeah I
-
think that's it. So I said, ' Lord, you
-
would really help us if you wouldn't
-
mind giving us some kind of an idea of
-
what we're supposed to be doing and
-
looking like and carrying out and all
-
that and you but you know you have not
-
because
-
>> you ask not ask and you shall receive
-
that your joy may be full. So I thought
-
well I'll just do that. So I said Lord
-
we just I just I need some direction on
-
this. And um
-
when I did that, it wasn't but a few
-
days before the Holy Ghost just
-
supernaturally led us over to Acts the
-
13th chapter. Acts chapter 13:1 says,
-
"Now there were in the church." Now, I'd
-
studied this for a number of years
-
because because this is who we were.
-
Acts 13:1. Now there were in the church.
-
I had really never noticed that. I never
-
saw the church part in there. I'd
-
skipped over that a lot. But it said,
-
"Now there were in the church which was
-
at Antioch certain prophets and teachers
-
such as Barnabas and Saul and names
-
three other men said as they ministered
-
to the See there it is right there.
-
That's what it was all about. As they
-
min yeah they preached. Yeah. Did they
-
teach? Yeah. They they actually had a
-
school going there. They had a lot of
-
things going on but said as they
-
ministered to the Lord they didn't they
-
didn't minister about him. They didn't
-
ask him to do a lot of things for him.
-
said, "Now there were in the church
-
which was at Antioch certain prophets
-
and teachers such as Barnabas, Saul,
-
names about three about three other men.
-
Um, and it said as they ministered to
-
the Lord, the Holy Ghost said, and I
-
began to realize that a local church is
-
a place where the Holy Ghost can talk if
-
he wants.
-
>> He can lead. He can guide. He can
-
direct. He can give us information. He
-
can he can guide our steps." I began to
-
see things in that one little verse that
-
I'd never seen before. As a as they
-
ministered to the Lord and fasted, the
-
Holy Ghost said, "Separate unto me
-
Barnabas and Saul for the work for unto
-
I've called them." When they'd fasted
-
and prayed, they laid their hands on him
-
and sent him forth. And they being sent
-
forth by the Holy Ghost departed unto
-
Seucia. And that was the beginning of an
-
outreach to where Paul planted uh
-
there's a lot of different um theories
-
on this. But the ones I've been able to
-
come across the most often are when
-
people say we don't know for sure, but
-
the best we can tell the Apostle Paul in
-
the middle of being beaten, stoned,
-
shipwrecked, left for dead,
-
beaten outside the city, the disciples
-
came, gathered around him, he got up,
-
they went out of the city, he got
-
better, and then he came back in the
-
same city and preached there again. You
-
could not, you can't keep a good man
-
down.
-
>> He was beaten. He was stoned. He was
-
shipwrecked. He was left for dead a day
-
and night in the deep. He was
-
shipwrecked on uh Malta. He all these
-
different things, everything he went
-
through. And in the middle of all that,
-
he finished up and he said, "I fought
-
the good fight. I ke This is when he's
-
finishing his race." He's talking to
-
Timothy. I fought the good fight. I kept
-
the faith. I finished my course. I'm
-
ready to be offered. Said all that. But
-
in the middle of all that, best I can
-
tell, he planted over 40 churches, 40
-
different nations, and every one of them
-
was in a region where nobody else was
-
going. He didn't go where something was
-
going on. He went where there was
-
nothing going on, and he made sure
-
something was going on. And so, uh, you
-
know, going back through there,
-
um,
-
going going back to where that that
-
seemed to be, uh, when I said, "Lord, I
-
don't know, you know, I I can tell you
-
what a good church ought to look like
-
and what it ought to have happening, but
-
what should we be like? What what should
-
be our what should be our forte? What,
-
you know, we may be kind of a splinter
-
group? I don't know what we're going to
-
be like. I don't know. Don't know if
-
people going to like us, not like us. I
-
don't know anything. All I know is we
-
supposed to be doing something. If you'd
-
let us know what it is, we'll be glad to
-
do it with your help. And the Holy Ghost
-
took us to Acts the 13th chapter, just a
-
few verses in there, and showed how a
-
local church can do its job and touch
-
the world.
-
>> And so anyway, so that's just, you know,
-
this is to to be able to come in like
-
this and just follow the leading of the
-
Holy Ghost. What were they doing in Acts
-
13? as they ministered to the Lord. They
-
weren't having a Bible study. Maybe they
-
were. They weren't having a a prayer
-
meeting. Maybe they were. They just got
-
together and ministered to the Lord.
-
Well, you know, I really believe that's
-
a major part of where the church world
-
needs to be today is we need to be an
-
entity of people. When we get together,
-
we minister to him and then we see what
-
him wants to do back.
-
>> That's right.
-
>> Okay. Sometimes he just wants to go,
-
"That's just all I wanted. I just wanted
-
you to minister to me. I just wanted I
-
just want you to come into the throne
-
room, magnify, glorify, and minister to
-
me. Sometimes that's just all he wants.
-
If that's it, then he's well worthy of
-
that. But anyway, um you know, as I
-
said, we're uh
-
that's how I kind of got launched off
-
into that. coming into um Fire for the
-
Nations. Our first one, I think it was,
-
let's see, we started in 1998
-
and I think our first fire for the
-
nations was
-
99 or 2009, one of those two. We we had
-
to we had to rent a room in a local
-
hotel here and have that. But um anyway,
-
that's just that's just uh when we
-
started out, we knew we knew our call
-
was to have a local church that would
-
touch the nations of the world. Okay?
-
And we can't, you know, we we can't God,
-
one time I was praying over a globe and
-
the Holy Ghost said, "You're thinking
-
too small." I said, "Lord, that's a
-
globe. [laughter]
-
I don't think I can get it any bigger
-
than that." I was I I can still remember
-
sitting in my office. We're at 412 West
-
Miami and Broken Air. I was sitting in
-
my office. I had a globe. I don't know.
-
I got it at a at a yard sale. I'm
-
sitting there holding a globe and I'm
-
praying over the globe and I'm just I'm
-
yearning over the globe and the Holy
-
Ghost said, "You're thinking too small."
-
And I said, "Well, Lord, I'm thinking I
-
I said, "Name four or five countries
-
that we were praying over." He said,
-
"You're thinking four or five. You need
-
to be praying over the the the world,
-
the globe." And so, we know we know a
-
part of our our call is the world. But
-
we do know within that, we can't do the
-
whole world. We've just got the part we
-
need to be doing. And so anyway, that's
-
what we've been doing since really about
-
1998, 1999. Been having um fire for the
-
nations. And this is about what was that
-
phrase we had, babe, about
-
uh
-
>> what is it?
-
>> Consume
-
the church. That was a phrase we got a
-
couple years ago. Consume this.
-
Consuming the church with missions
-
>> and and ambassadors with fire. consuming
-
the church with missions and consuming
-
the ambassadors with fire. So, that's
-
what this is all about. So, I said all
-
that to say, um, hope you can make it.
-
If you can't make all of it, make some
-
of it. Put it on your calendar if you
-
can. We'd love to have you in here. We
-
got plenty of seats. As far as I know,
-
if we run out, we'll, you know, we'll
-
we'll dig up some more. We'll borrow
-
them from the neighbors or something. I
-
don't know. But anyway, um, anyway
-
anyway, Fire for the Nations is is all
-
about who we are. It's about what WOC is
-
to do. Every church has something
-
different. There's couple churches down
-
the road from here, great churches. I've
-
met the pastors of the pastor of one of
-
them, great guy. They've got their plan.
-
There's a church across the street from
-
our neighborhood. They are another
-
church. Great church. Never met the
-
pastor, but they're doing a great job.
-
Got churches all over all over the
-
state, all over half of America doing a
-
great job. We're just doing what we do.
-
Can't do it all. We can just do what
-
we're supposed to do. So anyway, anyway,
-
>> anyway, I was going to jump in the
-
middle of something here. Let's just
-
take a few minutes. All right, you know,
-
you never you never get it all done. You
-
just get done what you can. But if we go
-
over to 2 Chronicles or 2 Corinthians
-
the uh 2 Corinthians the
-
how about the
-
let's let's go with the fourth chapter.
-
2 Corinthians chapter 4:13.
-
We can kind of jump off have a jumping
-
off place here. If you go back to Joel
-
chapter 3:10, Joel said uh said back
-
there, "Let the weak Let the weak do
-
what?"
-
>> Say what?
-
>> Didn't say let the weak say, "Man, I'm
-
really weak."
-
>> Didn't say, "Let the weak say, man, I'm
-
having a really bad time. I'm getting
-
beat up, beat down, I'm sick, poor,
-
sorry, everything." No. Let the what?
-
>> Weak say I'm strong. Even back under the
-
Old Testament, there was a great
-
understanding of the power of our words.
-
You know, I remember I don't know, some
-
of you probably don't remember because
-
you probably weren't around at the time,
-
but I remember right [clears throat]
-
around 1974
-
when I moved to Oklahoma, moved to
-
Tulsa, Brother Hagen had just started
-
Rama and I was in the about two weeks
-
late, but I got in on that. And I
-
remember um I can still remember they
-
they had regular guest ministers coming
-
in. I mean every couple weeks they'd
-
have another guest coming in for about a
-
week and then brother Hagen would come
-
in for a week and then we'd have another
-
another couple guests and the first one
-
that came in was a pastor from uh Texas
-
and he just taught Hebrews 11. And he
-
came in and for a solid week, you know,
-
from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
-
Thursday, Friday, he taught on he taught
-
on uh faith and he taught on really and
-
he taught on the power of our words.
-
Nobody had ever told me that before. I'd
-
never heard that before. Never knew that
-
our words made a difference. But I can
-
remember being in those classes for one
-
week's time. Changed the very course of
-
my life. 1974, we're a couple years down
-
the road. And I remember because
-
somebody took the time to explain that
-
the power of our words. [snorts] Joel
-
3:10, let the weak say I'm strong. went
-
back through there and of course back in
-
in uh Mark the 11th chapter when Jesus
-
had cursed the fig tree and had died
-
from the roots up and they came by the
-
next day and the disciples said master
-
the fig tree that thou cursed they spoke
-
King James I know this the fig tree that
-
thou cursed is withered away and he said
-
have faith in God or have the faith of
-
God or have the God he said you have not
-
go get it you have the God kind of faith
-
>> you have the that's what he's trying to
-
get across to humanity to the church
-
particularly, we're not trying to get
-
it. We have the God kind of faith. Jesus
-
just talked to the fig tree and it
-
obeyed him from the roots up. And so the
-
next day, his disciples are going,
-
"Master, the fig tree that you curse is
-
withered away." And he said, "Verily I
-
send you have the God kind of faith."
-
Verse 23, for verily I say unto you that
-
whosoever,
-
this isn't just for his group. This
-
isn't just for the 12. This is for
-
>> whosoever
-
>> whosoever.
-
That's the same whosoever as you get
-
over in John 3:16. Whosoever shall call
-
upon the name of it's the same whoso
-
whosoever means whosoever.
-
and he's talking to his disciples and he
-
said he says over there in in uh uh Mark
-
chapter uh 10 verse uh 23 and he says uh
-
uh excuse me Mark 11:23 he says over
-
there uh for uh whosoever have the God
-
kind of faith for whosoever shall
-
>> say whosoever shall notice that when
-
he's teaching them on the subject of
-
faith and he said I'm going to tell you
-
how this works I'm going to first tell
-
you you got it and then second I'm going
-
to tell you it works. It wouldn't be
-
fair to say, "You got it, and I'm not
-
going to tell you how it's going to
-
work. You're on your own." Here it is.
-
He said, "Whosoever shall say," Markap
-
11:23, "Whosoever shall say unto this
-
mountain, be thou removed, and be thou
-
cast into the sea, and shall not doubt
-
in his heart, but shall believe that
-
those things which he
-
>> saith shall come to pass, he shall have.
-
Whatsoever he
-
>> saith, therefore I say unto you, what
-
thingsoever you desire when you pray,"
-
Well, to pray, you got to say,
-
>> when you pray, when you say, believe you
-
receive them, you shall have them. And
-
when you stand praying, forgive if you
-
have ought against any and so on. But if
-
you go back through there, Jesus is
-
teaching his disciples about walking in
-
the God kind of faith. And he starts out
-
saying, "Whosoever shall
-
>> say." Joel 3:10, "Let the weak say, I'm
-
strong." Amos 3:3, "Can two walk
-
together except they be agreed, except
-
they be saying the same thing." God's
-
been trying to get this across to the
-
church world. A lot of us got hold of
-
it. And boy, back in the
-
in the 197475,
-
we were dangerous. We were confession
-
monitors.
-
>> We didn't pay as much attention to what
-
we said as we did what everybody else
-
said.
-
>> Say, if I if I was you, I wouldn't say
-
that anymore. You know, man, we
-
corrected everybody. It was pretty wild.
-
You couldn't say anything. It was like,
-
I'm not even going to breathe. I tell
-
you what, cuz if I say anything, I'm
-
going to say it wrong.
-
Man, when I was in school, I I was a
-
little aggressive driving and um you
-
know, I used to joke about the fact the
-
way I drive, I'll never live to be 30.
-
And then I found out you can have what
-
you say and I thought I better change
-
that. So I started saying the way I the
-
way I drive I'll live to be about 100,
-
you know, because I'm I'm going to
-
change my driving habits. But and and I
-
did.
-
But going back through there, the the
-
the concept
-
that there's so much truth in in the
-
power of our words. Our words are loaded
-
with faith. We put faith in our words.
-
And Jesus said, "Whosoever shall
-
>> say." And if you go back through, we've
-
talked to about about it before, but
-
Jesus when he's talking about operating
-
in the God kind of faith, he talked
-
about believing one time and saying
-
three times. Apparently, saying is three
-
times as important as believing.
-
Everybody believes, but not everybody
-
says.
-
>> I've heard people over the years, well,
-
so and so, I don't know why. I just
-
don't know why that didn't work because
-
I know they were believing God. I know,
-
you know, they they should have lived,
-
but and they were believing God, but you
-
know, it didn't work. They they should
-
have their their needs should have been
-
met, but I know they were believing God,
-
you know, I know they were believing
-
God. I know I've heard people tell me
-
that lots and lots of times. And I
-
finally I got to where I would at least
-
ask them and say, "Well, I that may be
-
what they're believing, but my question
-
is what were they saying?"
-
>> See, a lot of our problems are not in
-
the believing part. Most of the time, if
-
Jesus talked about saying three times as
-
much as he talked about believing,
-
apparently, if our faith isn't working
-
like it should, probably about three
-
times out of four, it's in the
-
>> saying part. So, anyway, we'll just
-
we'll just hurry on through just part of
-
this. We'll pick up. We'll pick up
-
another time. Next week, we're going to
-
be a whole whole different direction.
-
We'll be at fire for the nations. After
-
that, we'll probably pick back up on
-
this. But there's just been a stirring
-
working on the inside of me because I go
-
back through there 197475
-
for, you know, a number of years after
-
that. And the simple truth of have the
-
God kind of faith. When that got on the
-
inside of me changed the course of my
-
life. And looking down the road here, a
-
few years, how many years is that? 50.
-
Somebody said 50. I rebuke you. Anyway,
-
[laughter]
-
I'll be nice [laughter] because I think
-
it was. But
-
but you know, you get back through there
-
and and uh finding the the difference in
-
there and and going back 50 years that
-
changed the course of my life. It
-
changed it. It was a move of God that
-
changed the body of Christ. We call it
-
the word of faith teaching revival. But
-
when that move of God came into the body
-
of Christ, it changed a lot of us.
-
Anybody else in here? Just that simple
-
teaching of have the God kind of faith.
-
Anybody else in here have that changed
-
your life?
-
>> I mean, look at this. Some of you
-
didn't. Well, stick around. It will. But
-
what happened was we got we got so good
-
at it and we got so seasoned at it that
-
we left it behind and started looking
-
for what was next.
-
And if we don't watch it, we start
-
looking for what's next and we leave
-
behind what we're what got us where
-
we're at. What was it? Somebody said one
-
time, "You need to dance with the one
-
that that rung you." It wasn't me. It
-
was somebody else. But sometimes we left
-
all these things behind that changed the
-
very course of our lives. And and
-
sometimes you got to go back and pick up
-
what got us where we're at, lest we let
-
these things slip slip out like a
-
leaking vessel. And really the part
-
about what the thing that changed again
-
I to me and I can say this you've heard
-
me say it before I don't I don't drop
-
brother Hagen's name just to drop a
-
name. He's over in heaven been there 22
-
years so I'm not doing that but that was
-
just the one I was around most of the
-
time. Pastor Janet and I were around him
-
off and on for about 30 years in some
-
capacity. And I I couldn't tell you how
-
many times, you know, and and again,
-
we're doing five, six services a week,
-
you know, in his meetings and so on, but
-
I couldn't tell tell you how many times
-
he would he'd be ministering. Uh he'd be
-
teaching on healing in the nights, but
-
boy, in the mornings he'd teach on
-
faith. And when he's teaching on faith,
-
you might as well hang on because he's
-
going to be talking to you about the
-
power of your words.
-
>> Yes.
-
>> And and we get that day after day, week
-
after week, month after month. And it
-
just got on the inside of me and it
-
changed the very course of my life. And
-
if I don't watch it, you know, I don't
-
know about you, but if I don't watch it,
-
some of that slips away.
-
>> Sometimes you'll find yourself saying
-
stupid things.
-
>> Do I need to repeat that?
-
>> I think everybody got that. Say, well,
-
why would you use that? Because if it
-
doesn't line up with the Bible, it's not
-
smart.
-
That's right.
-
>> Now, I know none of you had issue with
-
that,
-
>> but I've been at this 50 years, and if I
-
don't I and I notice if I don't watch
-
it, if I don't watch it, my my what I
-
know about the word is not necessarily
-
always what's coming out, even though
-
that's what I believe, that's what I
-
know, that's what should be coming out
-
all the time because I get busy with
-
things.
-
>> And sometimes you just got to you just
-
got to rear back, pick up where you
-
were, and and get back to what got you
-
where you're at.
-
>> Yeah. What got you? Somebody goes,
-
"Well, I'm not in a good place." Well,
-
stick around. We'll help you with that.
-
But the truths are so simple in here.
-
Jesus said that. Now, where was I? 2
-
Corinthians 4:13.
-
The Apostle Paul, like I said, beaten
-
stone, shipwrecked, left for dead, taken
-
out, beaten, left for dead. His
-
disciples gathered around, picked him
-
up, took him out of town, raised him
-
back up. He went back into town,
-
preached to the same bunch again. That
-
is a stalwart guy. He's going to go,
-
"You you beat me the last time. I dare
-
you to try it again." I mean, he's going
-
back into the same town there. When he
-
goes back in there and the Apostle Paul,
-
he's he's writing here. 2 Corinthians
-
chapter 4:13. He's writing to the
-
Corinthian believers. And it really is,
-
it belongs to all of us. It's the simple
-
basic truth that will get you not only
-
where you are, it'll get you where you
-
need to go.
-
And if it's if Jesus talked about it
-
three times as much as he talked about
-
the believing part, then probably we
-
ought to be looking at the saying part
-
three times as much as we do. Believing
-
is important. Yeah, absolutely.
-
But sometimes we're doing all the right
-
believing, but we're not doing all the
-
right talking. I've seen more people
-
that can do all the right believing, but
-
if you listen to them talk, you go,
-
"What are you talking about?" Because
-
their words are not lining up with what
-
the Bible says. And a lot of times it's
-
lining up with what they believe. And if
-
it's what you believe and say, it's what
-
you're going to get. And then you got a
-
real issue going.
-
>> So he says there, Paul writing to the
-
Corinthians, 1 Corinthians chapter 4, 2
1 Corinthians 4 chapter mention 2 Corinthians 4:13
-
Corinthians 4:13, he said, "We
-
>> he puts you and I in the same place as
-
him."
-
>> That's pretty good. If Paul said, "You
-
know, you guys are kind of a mess. I
-
probably can't help you, but I'll give
-
you a few good verses that'll help you
-
thousand years down the road." No. He
-
said over there we having not getting
-
going to get some way somehow. He said
-
we having having that's current. We
-
having we having it's right there. We
-
having the same spirit of faith.
-
>> Yeah. I mean we know we we talk about
-
people back in the days when the there'd
-
be a spirit of prayer that'd come in the
-
church world. People sitting in the
-
church power of God come in. Folks would
-
fall to their knees begin to pray.
-
They'd pray a move of God down. There's
-
what we call spirit. It's not a
-
different spirit other than the Holy
-
Spirit, but there's um
-
there's uh um it's an attitude of
-
prayer. Church ought to have a spirit of
-
prayer. There ought to be something on
-
the inside of us where we know if we
-
pray things going to change.
-
>> There ought to be something on the
-
inside of us. We know if we pray, God
-
hears, God answers. You have not because
-
you ask not. Ask and you shall receive
-
that your joy may be full. If we pray,
-
God will he will hear. He will answer.
-
He's not a man that he should lie. Not
-
the son of the son son of man that he
-
should repent. He said it. He'll do it.
-
He spoke it. He'll make it good. So we
-
know we there ought to the church ought
-
to have a spirit of prayer.
-
>> That just ought to be ought to be ought
-
to be ought to be. Heard from somebody
-
the other day. they were in another
-
country and they said I was in such and
-
such a place and there's a group of
-
people there in a Bible study and man
-
they had a spirit of prayer on them and
-
I thought I love hearing that halfway
-
around the world but there's people that
-
have got it's the same Holy Ghost but
-
it's directed toward prayer but now Paul
-
writing here and he says we having he's
-
talking about the church you and I got
-
he's you got something he said I'm
-
telling you what you got and I'm going
-
to tell you how it works we having
-
>> what do we got
-
the what
-
>> you and I got the same faith the Apostle
-
Paul had beat stoned shipwrecked left
-
for dead he did dealt with all that but
-
when he got to the end he fought the
-
good fight he kept the faith he finished
-
his course ready to be offered he he
-
rose up and finished what he was given
-
to do but then he writes to us and says
-
we having the same spirit of faith you
-
got what the apostle Paul had that's
-
pretty good deal
-
>> I used to read after and thinking that
-
was so great and then I read that one
-
day and I thought I got that
-
didn't know it, but I got it. We having
-
the same spirit of faith. And then he
-
goes on says, I'm not going to leave you
-
hanging. I'm going to let you know how
-
this works. This is the basic of how
-
this whole thing works. And we're not
-
going to get any further this morning.
-
We're just going to have to pick up in a
-
couple weeks. But but when he makes this
-
statement, we having the same spirit of
-
faith according as it is written. Now,
-
he quotes an Old Testament scripture out
-
of the Psalms. According as it is
-
written, I
-
>> believed and therefore therefore
-
>> I believed in therefore have I spoken.
-
We also believe in therefore speak.
-
Somebody said years ago, anytime you
-
find a therefore, see what's stop and
-
see what it's there for.
-
>> I believed in what?
-
>> Therefore, I spoke. I also believe in
-
there. Why am I speaking? Because I
-
believe.
-
>> I'm not I'm not just speaking to trying
-
to get something to happen. It starts
-
out with what I'm believing on the
-
inside. But off if I believe it on the
-
inside and speak it out here. And that's
-
what Paul's writing.
-
We having the same spirit of faith
-
according as it is written. I believed
-
and therefore have I spoken. We also
-
believe and therefore speak. That's how
-
this whole system of life works. This is
-
how this is how the life of faith works
-
in the church world. If I will just take
-
it and believe it and say it, I will get
-
it. It may not happen instantly, but it
-
will come to pass.
-
>> I've got it. I've working. It's been
-
working for me my entire life for 40
-
years or whatever it did. It's been
-
working for me. And if you'll do it,
-
it'll work for you. If you'll take it,
-
believe it, and say it, and stick with
-
it. Somebody goes, "How long do I say
-
it?" Until you get it.
-
>> How long do I say it? Until it comes
-
into full fruition. How long do I say
-
it? Until what you believe comes out to
-
what you are saying.
-
>> And it's just such a simple truth that
-
God, I believe there's a stirring right
-
now. God is stirring this back up in the
-
body of Christ for you and I to get hold
-
of what what got us where we're at.
-
>> I'm grateful for what got my life to
-
where it is. I'm grateful. I re vividly
-
remember the week this started working
-
on the inside of me. It was in September
-
to early October 1974. It started
-
getting on the inside of me and and you
-
know, yeah, do I need to brush up on
-
that? You haven't found anything yet.
-
You don't have to brush up on a little
-
bit.
-
But I'm going to brush up on it now
-
because I don't know where we're going
-
in the future. We need this working in
-
our lives. We need to have the same
-
spirit of faith working in us.
-
>> There ought there ought to be people
-
looking at us going, "They're that that
-
group that turned the world upside down
-
have come hither also."
-
>> The people in the world out there ought
-
to look at us and go, "These people are
-
really strange, but they turned the
-
world upside down. They're now they're
-
coming after our neighborhood.
-
>> Hang on, cuz we are." Amen.
-
>> We know how this works. This is not some
-
new newly devised fable. This is just
-
how it works. It's just so simple. It's
-
so simple God could get the kids to get
-
it and teach the rest of us.
-
>> Hallelujah. Glory to God. Well, we we've
-
got a number of other things. We won't
-
have time to get to it today. We'll pick
-
up probably in a couple weeks time. But,
-
uh, if we go back through, that's what
-
Jesus said. And if you go to Romans the
-
10th chapter verses 6-10, that's what
-
the Apostle Paul wrote to the uh Romans.
-
Isn't that what he said? Sixth chapter.
-
But the righteousness which is of faith
-
speaketh on this wise. If it ain't
-
speaking, it's not faith.
-
>> Do I need to say that again
-
>> in modern English? If it's not speaking,
-
it's not faith.
-
>> What I'm believing? Good. Keep
-
believing. Don't quit that. But don't
-
just stop with believing. Make sure what
-
you say lines up with what you believe.
-
Don't stop with believing. Grab the
-
believing part. Mix the saying part with
-
it. Believe it and say it. And you will
-
see it come to full fruition in your
-
life. Yeah. Well, I've done that before
-
and it didn't work. Well, there's that
-
going part. There's that saying part
-
again. I did it. Didn't work. Didn't
-
work. Didn't work. How about you turn
-
that over and go, it always works for
-
me.
-
>> It always works for me. Joel 3:10. Let
-
the weak say I'm strong. I say I'm
-
strong. I say I'm healthy. I say I'm a
-
victorious. I say everything I set my
-
hands to prosper. I'm just going to keep
-
saying it.
-
>> Somebody says, "What if it never comes
-
to pass?" If it doesn't, it will not be
-
my fault.
-
>> I got to get stopped. Let's stand to our
-
feet.
-
The simple basic truths of have faith in
-
God. If you stop and think about it,
-
Mark the 11th chapter when Jesus taught
-
his disciples about that. of all the
-
teaching we've got old and new testament
-
the the the most concise message we've
-
got on the subject of faith most concise
-
thing we've got in the Bible in the New
-
Testament is where Jesus it's written in
-
red and Jesus himself says I verily I
-
say you have faith in God when my
-
redeemer says I'm going to tell you how
-
this works the least I can do is say I'm
-
going to listen
-
>> we there's all kinds of books on faith I
-
got a library full books on faith, but I
-
got the one from the author.
-
>> He said it, he'll do it. He spoke it.
-
He'll make it good. And I'm going to try
-
one more time. Father, in the name of
-
Jesus, thank you so much. Thank you,
-
Father. What a privilege. What a
-
privilege. What a privilege. What a
-
privilege to be born again, bloodbought,
-
redeemed. What a privilege to know that
-
you you told us in your word how to get
-
this God kind of faith working. You
-
didn't say we got to go find it. You
-
said it's already it's already residing
-
and abiding in us. If we'll just get it
-
working for us. If we'll just o open our
-
hearts to receive and open our mouths to
-
release, we will open our lives to have.
-
>> So, I thank you for that, dear Father.
-
And I I'm just I'm just reaching out
-
with this ahead of time because it just
-
seems to me we need to go further with
-
this in the days to come. I uh I believe
-
you want a faithfilled Bible believing,
-
Bible talking, faithfilled church, body
-
of Christ.
-
anywhere you can get us. But it's
-
specifically I know in this place if
-
we'll do what you said to do, we'll have
-
what you said we could have.
-
>> You made it so simple for us. If it's
-
difficult, it's because we made it that
-
way, not because you made it that way.
-
So we thank you for it in the wonderful
-
name of Jesus. Glory to God. Hallelujah.
-
So while heads are bowed and eyes are
-
closed and you maybe maybe this is all
-
new to you today, that's okay.
-
For most all of us, it was new at one
-
particular point. We're just we're just
-
swinging back around to what got us
-
where we're at and is going to keep us
-
going better. If you're here and you
-
just say, "Pastor Mark, I I don't know
-
anything about this, but number one, I
-
my life's not right with God. I'm not
-
walking in a place with Jesus where I
-
need to be. I've maybe been in church,
-
maybe haven't been in church, maybe grew
-
up in church, maybe didn't grow up in
-
church, but if you'd say, "Pastor, I I I
-
uh
-
I I just don't know anything about all
-
this." And my the problem is I'm not
-
right with God, and it's not his fault,
-
but I want to get that right. I want to
-
know when I walk out the doors of this
-
place today. I want to know when I walk
-
out of here that I will never again have
-
to question where I stand with God.
-
Never again have to wonder where am I at
-
with him? Where's my relationship with
-
him? Where do I stand with almighty the
-
creator of the universe? Where do I
-
where am I with him?
-
That's my choice. All I need to do is
-
say, "Jesus, I make you lord of my
-
life." If I'll do that, I open heaven's
-
gates up and my life from that point
-
through eternity will be connected with
-
him. If that's you, wave your hand at
-
me. If you'd say, "Pastor, I need to
-
make Jesus Lord of my life." I know what
-
it's like to be away. I know what it's
-
like to be away from God. It's
-
miserable.
-
It's miserable. But that was my choice.
-
I made a decision one night, said enough
-
of this. Prayed a simple prayer, came
-
back, and I've been walking with him
-
ever since. It's a growing process.
-
[snorts] But if you're here and say,
-
"Pastor, I do not know Jesus as my
-
savior." Things are not right between
-
God and me. Say, "Well, I grew up in
-
church. Maybe I prayed a sinner sinner's
-
prayer at one point, but but I'm away
-
from God right now. Things are not good
-
between God and me, and it's my fault.
-
It's not his." If that's you, wave your
-
hand at me. I want to pray for you.
-
Hallelujah. Glory to anybody here.
-
Give you lots of time. Oh, Father, in
-
the wonderful name of Jesus, thank you
-
so much. Thank you for your uh wonderful
-
goodness and your blessing. God, my
-
you're my God. Early will I seek you. My
-
soul longeth for thee. My flesh
-
thirsteth for thee. In a dry and thirsty
-
land where no water is. to see your
-
power and to see your glory as I've seen
-
you in the sanctuary. God, I I pray in
-
this house. I can't speak for everybody
-
else, but I can speak for this place.
-
We're pursuing your presence. We're
-
going after your worship. We're going to
-
spend time where you are, and we're
-
going to invite you in anytime you ever
-
want to come. We're going to we're going
-
to invite you anytime anytime we're
-
coming in here. If there's one of us or
-
more, we're expecting your uh the
-
invitation for you to be in here. And
-
we'll we'll rejoice in that and be glad.
-
We thank you in Jesus name. Hallelujah.
-
>> In Jesus name. Amen.
-
>> Amen. Well, we ought to give him thanks.
-
>> Father, thank you. [music]
-
>> Thank you. Faithfilled, Bible walking,
-
Bible talking.
-
a house full of people walking in your
-
word, walking in your power, walking in
-
your might, walking by faith and not by
-
sight.
-
>> We thank you in Jesus name.
