  1. Um, it'll be really good. We We got a

  2. general idea of what direction things

  3. are going to go. But, but this is who we

  4. are.

  5. This is this is who World Outreach

  6. Church is. This is, you know, when when

  7. uh

  8. God began to deal with us in oh 98,

  9. >> 97

  10. six. He started dealing with us in 96.

  11. It took him to 98 to get me talked into

  12. it. Uh, I kept saying, "Lord, this is

  13. great, but you got the wrong guy. I I

  14. need to be on the road. I do not need to

  15. be in one city." Um, and here we are 27

  16. years later. So, anyway, um, but, you

  17. know, going back through there and and

  18. uh, you know, sincerely, I I really went

  19. when when I realized God was leading us

  20. to uh, pioneer plant a a church here in

  21. Tulsa, Oklahoma, and I I said, "Lord, I

  22. don't know how to do this." My wife grew

  23. up in church. She knows all about

  24. churches. Her dad was a pastor all of

  25. her life. I just wasn't around church

  26. that much. When I was, I wasn't paying

  27. attention. Um, and so I don't know. I

  28. don't know what I don't know what a

  29. church is supposed to look like. And

  30. honestly, we'd been to

  31. uh we'd been at that time, we'd been to

  32. churches in probably 45 nations. We'd

  33. been to churches. We'd been to Bible

  34. studies. We'd been we'd been all over.

  35. We we'd been everywhere, man. We'd been

  36. just everywhere. and um you know just

  37. really just didn't honestly know what to

  38. do. And I I said Lord if you would just

  39. I I said I can't look out there and see

  40. a church that looks like I mean they're

  41. great ones but I can't look at anything

  42. that looks like what I would say that's

  43. what I think we're supposed to be

  44. patterned after. Couldn't do that. I

  45. couldn't see anything there. I go yeah I

  46. think that's it. So I said, ' Lord, you

  47. would really help us if you wouldn't

  48. mind giving us some kind of an idea of

  49. what we're supposed to be doing and

  50. looking like and carrying out and all

  51. that and you but you know you have not

  52. because

  53. >> you ask not ask and you shall receive

  54. that your joy may be full. So I thought

  55. well I'll just do that. So I said Lord

  56. we just I just I need some direction on

  57. this. And um

  58. when I did that, it wasn't but a few

  59. days before the Holy Ghost just

  60. supernaturally led us over to Acts the

  61. 13th chapter. Acts chapter 13:1 says,

  62. "Now there were in the church." Now, I'd

  63. studied this for a number of years

  64. because because this is who we were.

  65. Acts 13:1. Now there were in the church.

    Acts 13:1

  66. I had really never noticed that. I never

  67. saw the church part in there. I'd

  68. skipped over that a lot. But it said,

  69. "Now there were in the church which was

  70. at Antioch certain prophets and teachers

  71. such as Barnabas and Saul and names

  72. three other men said as they ministered

  73. to the See there it is right there.

  74. That's what it was all about. As they

  75. min yeah they preached. Yeah. Did they

  76. teach? Yeah. They they actually had a

  77. school going there. They had a lot of

  78. things going on but said as they

  79. ministered to the Lord they didn't they

  80. didn't minister about him. They didn't

  81. ask him to do a lot of things for him.

  82. said, "Now there were in the church

  83. which was at Antioch certain prophets

  84. and teachers such as Barnabas, Saul,

  85. names about three about three other men.

  86. Um, and it said as they ministered to

  87. the Lord, the Holy Ghost said, and I

  88. began to realize that a local church is

  89. a place where the Holy Ghost can talk if

  90. he wants.

  91. >> He can lead. He can guide. He can

  92. direct. He can give us information. He

  93. can he can guide our steps." I began to

  94. see things in that one little verse that

  95. I'd never seen before. As a as they

  96. ministered to the Lord and fasted, the

  97. Holy Ghost said, "Separate unto me

  98. Barnabas and Saul for the work for unto

  99. I've called them." When they'd fasted

  100. and prayed, they laid their hands on him

  101. and sent him forth. And they being sent

  102. forth by the Holy Ghost departed unto

  103. Seucia. And that was the beginning of an

  104. outreach to where Paul planted uh

  105. there's a lot of different um theories

  106. on this. But the ones I've been able to

  107. come across the most often are when

  108. people say we don't know for sure, but

  109. the best we can tell the Apostle Paul in

  110. the middle of being beaten, stoned,

  111. shipwrecked, left for dead,

  112. beaten outside the city, the disciples

  113. came, gathered around him, he got up,

  114. they went out of the city, he got

  115. better, and then he came back in the

  116. same city and preached there again. You

  117. could not, you can't keep a good man

  118. down.

  119. >> He was beaten. He was stoned. He was

  120. shipwrecked. He was left for dead a day

  121. and night in the deep. He was

  122. shipwrecked on uh Malta. He all these

  123. different things, everything he went

  124. through. And in the middle of all that,

  125. he finished up and he said, "I fought

  126. the good fight. I ke This is when he's

  127. finishing his race." He's talking to

  128. Timothy. I fought the good fight. I kept

  129. the faith. I finished my course. I'm

  130. ready to be offered. Said all that. But

  131. in the middle of all that, best I can

  132. tell, he planted over 40 churches, 40

  133. different nations, and every one of them

  134. was in a region where nobody else was

  135. going. He didn't go where something was

  136. going on. He went where there was

  137. nothing going on, and he made sure

  138. something was going on. And so, uh, you

  139. know, going back through there,

  140. um,

  141. going going back to where that that

  142. seemed to be, uh, when I said, "Lord, I

  143. don't know, you know, I I can tell you

  144. what a good church ought to look like

  145. and what it ought to have happening, but

  146. what should we be like? What what should

  147. be our what should be our forte? What,

  148. you know, we may be kind of a splinter

  149. group? I don't know what we're going to

  150. be like. I don't know. Don't know if

  151. people going to like us, not like us. I

  152. don't know anything. All I know is we

  153. supposed to be doing something. If you'd

  154. let us know what it is, we'll be glad to

  155. do it with your help. And the Holy Ghost

  156. took us to Acts the 13th chapter, just a

  157. few verses in there, and showed how a

  158. local church can do its job and touch

  159. the world.

  160. >> And so anyway, so that's just, you know,

  161. this is to to be able to come in like

  162. this and just follow the leading of the

  163. Holy Ghost. What were they doing in Acts

  164. 13? as they ministered to the Lord. They

  165. weren't having a Bible study. Maybe they

  166. were. They weren't having a a prayer

  167. meeting. Maybe they were. They just got

  168. together and ministered to the Lord.

  169. Well, you know, I really believe that's

  170. a major part of where the church world

  171. needs to be today is we need to be an

  172. entity of people. When we get together,

  173. we minister to him and then we see what

  174. him wants to do back.

  175. >> That's right.

  176. >> Okay. Sometimes he just wants to go,

  177. "That's just all I wanted. I just wanted

  178. you to minister to me. I just wanted I

  179. just want you to come into the throne

  180. room, magnify, glorify, and minister to

  181. me. Sometimes that's just all he wants.

  182. If that's it, then he's well worthy of

  183. that. But anyway, um you know, as I

  184. said, we're uh

  185. that's how I kind of got launched off

  186. into that. coming into um Fire for the

  187. Nations. Our first one, I think it was,

  188. let's see, we started in 1998

  189. and I think our first fire for the

  190. nations was

  191. 99 or 2009, one of those two. We we had

  192. to we had to rent a room in a local

  193. hotel here and have that. But um anyway,

  194. that's just that's just uh when we

  195. started out, we knew we knew our call

  196. was to have a local church that would

  197. touch the nations of the world. Okay?

  198. And we can't, you know, we we can't God,

  199. one time I was praying over a globe and

  200. the Holy Ghost said, "You're thinking

  201. too small." I said, "Lord, that's a

  202. globe. [laughter]

  203. I don't think I can get it any bigger

  204. than that." I was I I can still remember

  205. sitting in my office. We're at 412 West

  206. Miami and Broken Air. I was sitting in

  207. my office. I had a globe. I don't know.

  208. I got it at a at a yard sale. I'm

  209. sitting there holding a globe and I'm

  210. praying over the globe and I'm just I'm

  211. yearning over the globe and the Holy

  212. Ghost said, "You're thinking too small."

  213. And I said, "Well, Lord, I'm thinking I

  214. I said, "Name four or five countries

  215. that we were praying over." He said,

  216. "You're thinking four or five. You need

  217. to be praying over the the the world,

  218. the globe." And so, we know we know a

  219. part of our our call is the world. But

  220. we do know within that, we can't do the

  221. whole world. We've just got the part we

  222. need to be doing. And so anyway, that's

  223. what we've been doing since really about

  224. 1998, 1999. Been having um fire for the

  225. nations. And this is about what was that

  226. phrase we had, babe, about

  227. uh

  228. >> what is it?

  229. >> Consume

  230. the church. That was a phrase we got a

  231. couple years ago. Consume this.

  232. Consuming the church with missions

  233. >> and and ambassadors with fire. consuming

  234. the church with missions and consuming

  235. the ambassadors with fire. So, that's

  236. what this is all about. So, I said all

  237. that to say, um, hope you can make it.

  238. If you can't make all of it, make some

  239. of it. Put it on your calendar if you

  240. can. We'd love to have you in here. We

  241. got plenty of seats. As far as I know,

  242. if we run out, we'll, you know, we'll

  243. we'll dig up some more. We'll borrow

  244. them from the neighbors or something. I

  245. don't know. But anyway, um, anyway

  246. anyway, Fire for the Nations is is all

  247. about who we are. It's about what WOC is

  248. to do. Every church has something

  249. different. There's couple churches down

  250. the road from here, great churches. I've

  251. met the pastors of the pastor of one of

  252. them, great guy. They've got their plan.

  253. There's a church across the street from

  254. our neighborhood. They are another

  255. church. Great church. Never met the

  256. pastor, but they're doing a great job.

  257. Got churches all over all over the

  258. state, all over half of America doing a

  259. great job. We're just doing what we do.

  260. Can't do it all. We can just do what

  261. we're supposed to do. So anyway, anyway,

  262. >> anyway, I was going to jump in the

  263. middle of something here. Let's just

  264. take a few minutes. All right, you know,

  265. you never you never get it all done. You

  266. just get done what you can. But if we go

  267. over to 2 Chronicles or 2 Corinthians

  268. the uh 2 Corinthians the

  269. how about the

  270. let's let's go with the fourth chapter.

  271. 2 Corinthians chapter 4:13.

  272. We can kind of jump off have a jumping

  273. off place here. If you go back to Joel

  274. chapter 3:10, Joel said uh said back

  275. there, "Let the weak Let the weak do

  276. what?"

  277. >> Say what?

  278. >> Didn't say let the weak say, "Man, I'm

  279. really weak."

  280. >> Didn't say, "Let the weak say, man, I'm

  281. having a really bad time. I'm getting

  282. beat up, beat down, I'm sick, poor,

  283. sorry, everything." No. Let the what?

  284. >> Weak say I'm strong. Even back under the

  285. Old Testament, there was a great

  286. understanding of the power of our words.

  287. You know, I remember I don't know, some

  288. of you probably don't remember because

  289. you probably weren't around at the time,

  290. but I remember right [clears throat]

  291. around 1974

  292. when I moved to Oklahoma, moved to

  293. Tulsa, Brother Hagen had just started

  294. Rama and I was in the about two weeks

  295. late, but I got in on that. And I

  296. remember um I can still remember they

  297. they had regular guest ministers coming

  298. in. I mean every couple weeks they'd

  299. have another guest coming in for about a

  300. week and then brother Hagen would come

  301. in for a week and then we'd have another

  302. another couple guests and the first one

  303. that came in was a pastor from uh Texas

  304. and he just taught Hebrews 11. And he

  305. came in and for a solid week, you know,

  306. from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,

  307. Thursday, Friday, he taught on he taught

  308. on uh faith and he taught on really and

  309. he taught on the power of our words.

  310. Nobody had ever told me that before. I'd

  311. never heard that before. Never knew that

  312. our words made a difference. But I can

  313. remember being in those classes for one

  314. week's time. Changed the very course of

  315. my life. 1974, we're a couple years down

  316. the road. And I remember because

  317. somebody took the time to explain that

  318. the power of our words. [snorts] Joel

    Joel 3:10

  319. 3:10, let the weak say I'm strong. went

  320. back through there and of course back in

  321. in uh Mark the 11th chapter when Jesus

  322. had cursed the fig tree and had died

  323. from the roots up and they came by the

  324. next day and the disciples said master

  325. the fig tree that thou cursed they spoke

  326. King James I know this the fig tree that

  327. thou cursed is withered away and he said

  328. have faith in God or have the faith of

  329. God or have the God he said you have not

  330. go get it you have the God kind of faith

  331. >> you have the that's what he's trying to

  332. get across to humanity to the church

  333. particularly, we're not trying to get

  334. it. We have the God kind of faith. Jesus

  335. just talked to the fig tree and it

  336. obeyed him from the roots up. And so the

  337. next day, his disciples are going,

  338. "Master, the fig tree that you curse is

  339. withered away." And he said, "Verily I

  340. send you have the God kind of faith."

  341. Verse 23, for verily I say unto you that

  342. whosoever,

  343. this isn't just for his group. This

  344. isn't just for the 12. This is for

  345. >> whosoever

  346. >> whosoever.

  347. That's the same whosoever as you get

  348. over in John 3:16. Whosoever shall call

    John 3:16

  349. upon the name of it's the same whoso

  350. whosoever means whosoever.

  351. and he's talking to his disciples and he

  352. said he says over there in in uh uh Mark

  353. chapter uh 10 verse uh 23 and he says uh

  354. uh excuse me Mark 11:23 he says over

    Mark 11:23

  355. there uh for uh whosoever have the God

  356. kind of faith for whosoever shall

  357. >> say whosoever shall notice that when

  358. he's teaching them on the subject of

  359. faith and he said I'm going to tell you

  360. how this works I'm going to first tell

  361. you you got it and then second I'm going

  362. to tell you it works. It wouldn't be

  363. fair to say, "You got it, and I'm not

  364. going to tell you how it's going to

  365. work. You're on your own." Here it is.

  366. He said, "Whosoever shall say," Markap

  367. 11:23, "Whosoever shall say unto this

  368. mountain, be thou removed, and be thou

  369. cast into the sea, and shall not doubt

  370. in his heart, but shall believe that

  371. those things which he

  372. >> saith shall come to pass, he shall have.

  373. Whatsoever he

  374. >> saith, therefore I say unto you, what

  375. thingsoever you desire when you pray,"

  376. Well, to pray, you got to say,

  377. >> when you pray, when you say, believe you

  378. receive them, you shall have them. And

  379. when you stand praying, forgive if you

  380. have ought against any and so on. But if

  381. you go back through there, Jesus is

  382. teaching his disciples about walking in

  383. the God kind of faith. And he starts out

  384. saying, "Whosoever shall

  385. >> say." Joel 3:10, "Let the weak say, I'm

    Joel 3:10

  386. strong." Amos 3:3, "Can two walk

    Amos 3:3

  387. together except they be agreed, except

  388. they be saying the same thing." God's

  389. been trying to get this across to the

  390. church world. A lot of us got hold of

  391. it. And boy, back in the

  392. in the 197475,

  393. we were dangerous. We were confession

  394. monitors.

  395. >> We didn't pay as much attention to what

  396. we said as we did what everybody else

  397. said.

  398. >> Say, if I if I was you, I wouldn't say

  399. that anymore. You know, man, we

  400. corrected everybody. It was pretty wild.

  401. You couldn't say anything. It was like,

  402. I'm not even going to breathe. I tell

  403. you what, cuz if I say anything, I'm

  404. going to say it wrong.

  405. Man, when I was in school, I I was a

  406. little aggressive driving and um you

  407. know, I used to joke about the fact the

  408. way I drive, I'll never live to be 30.

  409. And then I found out you can have what

  410. you say and I thought I better change

  411. that. So I started saying the way I the

  412. way I drive I'll live to be about 100,

  413. you know, because I'm I'm going to

  414. change my driving habits. But and and I

  415. did.

  416. But going back through there, the the

  417. the concept

  418. that there's so much truth in in the

  419. power of our words. Our words are loaded

  420. with faith. We put faith in our words.

  421. And Jesus said, "Whosoever shall

  422. >> say." And if you go back through, we've

  423. talked to about about it before, but

  424. Jesus when he's talking about operating

  425. in the God kind of faith, he talked

  426. about believing one time and saying

  427. three times. Apparently, saying is three

  428. times as important as believing.

  429. Everybody believes, but not everybody

  430. says.

  431. >> I've heard people over the years, well,

  432. so and so, I don't know why. I just

  433. don't know why that didn't work because

  434. I know they were believing God. I know,

  435. you know, they they should have lived,

  436. but and they were believing God, but you

  437. know, it didn't work. They they should

  438. have their their needs should have been

  439. met, but I know they were believing God,

  440. you know, I know they were believing

  441. God. I know I've heard people tell me

  442. that lots and lots of times. And I

  443. finally I got to where I would at least

  444. ask them and say, "Well, I that may be

  445. what they're believing, but my question

  446. is what were they saying?"

  447. >> See, a lot of our problems are not in

  448. the believing part. Most of the time, if

  449. Jesus talked about saying three times as

  450. much as he talked about believing,

  451. apparently, if our faith isn't working

  452. like it should, probably about three

  453. times out of four, it's in the

  454. >> saying part. So, anyway, we'll just

  455. we'll just hurry on through just part of

  456. this. We'll pick up. We'll pick up

  457. another time. Next week, we're going to

  458. be a whole whole different direction.

  459. We'll be at fire for the nations. After

  460. that, we'll probably pick back up on

  461. this. But there's just been a stirring

  462. working on the inside of me because I go

  463. back through there 197475

  464. for, you know, a number of years after

  465. that. And the simple truth of have the

  466. God kind of faith. When that got on the

  467. inside of me changed the course of my

  468. life. And looking down the road here, a

  469. few years, how many years is that? 50.

  470. Somebody said 50. I rebuke you. Anyway,

  471. [laughter]

  472. I'll be nice [laughter] because I think

  473. it was. But

  474. but you know, you get back through there

  475. and and uh finding the the difference in

  476. there and and going back 50 years that

  477. changed the course of my life. It

  478. changed it. It was a move of God that

  479. changed the body of Christ. We call it

  480. the word of faith teaching revival. But

  481. when that move of God came into the body

  482. of Christ, it changed a lot of us.

  483. Anybody else in here? Just that simple

  484. teaching of have the God kind of faith.

  485. Anybody else in here have that changed

  486. your life?

  487. >> I mean, look at this. Some of you

  488. didn't. Well, stick around. It will. But

  489. what happened was we got we got so good

  490. at it and we got so seasoned at it that

  491. we left it behind and started looking

  492. for what was next.

  493. And if we don't watch it, we start

  494. looking for what's next and we leave

  495. behind what we're what got us where

  496. we're at. What was it? Somebody said one

  497. time, "You need to dance with the one

  498. that that rung you." It wasn't me. It

  499. was somebody else. But sometimes we left

  500. all these things behind that changed the

  501. very course of our lives. And and

  502. sometimes you got to go back and pick up

  503. what got us where we're at, lest we let

  504. these things slip slip out like a

  505. leaking vessel. And really the part

  506. about what the thing that changed again

  507. I to me and I can say this you've heard

  508. me say it before I don't I don't drop

  509. brother Hagen's name just to drop a

  510. name. He's over in heaven been there 22

  511. years so I'm not doing that but that was

  512. just the one I was around most of the

  513. time. Pastor Janet and I were around him

  514. off and on for about 30 years in some

  515. capacity. And I I couldn't tell you how

  516. many times, you know, and and again,

  517. we're doing five, six services a week,

  518. you know, in his meetings and so on, but

  519. I couldn't tell tell you how many times

  520. he would he'd be ministering. Uh he'd be

  521. teaching on healing in the nights, but

  522. boy, in the mornings he'd teach on

  523. faith. And when he's teaching on faith,

  524. you might as well hang on because he's

  525. going to be talking to you about the

  526. power of your words.

  527. >> Yes.

  528. >> And and we get that day after day, week

  529. after week, month after month. And it

  530. just got on the inside of me and it

  531. changed the very course of my life. And

  532. if I don't watch it, you know, I don't

  533. know about you, but if I don't watch it,

  534. some of that slips away.

  535. >> Sometimes you'll find yourself saying

  536. stupid things.

  537. >> Do I need to repeat that?

  538. >> I think everybody got that. Say, well,

  539. why would you use that? Because if it

  540. doesn't line up with the Bible, it's not

  541. smart.

  542. That's right.

  543. >> Now, I know none of you had issue with

  544. that,

  545. >> but I've been at this 50 years, and if I

  546. don't I and I notice if I don't watch

  547. it, if I don't watch it, my my what I

  548. know about the word is not necessarily

  549. always what's coming out, even though

  550. that's what I believe, that's what I

  551. know, that's what should be coming out

  552. all the time because I get busy with

  553. things.

  554. >> And sometimes you just got to you just

  555. got to rear back, pick up where you

  556. were, and and get back to what got you

  557. where you're at.

  558. >> Yeah. What got you? Somebody goes,

  559. "Well, I'm not in a good place." Well,

  560. stick around. We'll help you with that.

  561. But the truths are so simple in here.

  562. Jesus said that. Now, where was I? 2

    2 Corinthians 4:13

  563. Corinthians 4:13.

  564. The Apostle Paul, like I said, beaten

  565. stone, shipwrecked, left for dead, taken

  566. out, beaten, left for dead. His

  567. disciples gathered around, picked him

  568. up, took him out of town, raised him

  569. back up. He went back into town,

  570. preached to the same bunch again. That

  571. is a stalwart guy. He's going to go,

  572. "You you beat me the last time. I dare

  573. you to try it again." I mean, he's going

  574. back into the same town there. When he

  575. goes back in there and the Apostle Paul,

  576. he's he's writing here. 2 Corinthians

  577. chapter 4:13. He's writing to the

  578. Corinthian believers. And it really is,

  579. it belongs to all of us. It's the simple

  580. basic truth that will get you not only

  581. where you are, it'll get you where you

  582. need to go.

  583. And if it's if Jesus talked about it

  584. three times as much as he talked about

  585. the believing part, then probably we

  586. ought to be looking at the saying part

  587. three times as much as we do. Believing

  588. is important. Yeah, absolutely.

  589. But sometimes we're doing all the right

  590. believing, but we're not doing all the

  591. right talking. I've seen more people

  592. that can do all the right believing, but

  593. if you listen to them talk, you go,

  594. "What are you talking about?" Because

  595. their words are not lining up with what

  596. the Bible says. And a lot of times it's

  597. lining up with what they believe. And if

  598. it's what you believe and say, it's what

  599. you're going to get. And then you got a

  600. real issue going.

  601. >> So he says there, Paul writing to the

  602. Corinthians, 1 Corinthians chapter 4, 2

    1 Corinthians 4 chapter mention 2 Corinthians 4:13

  603. Corinthians 4:13, he said, "We

  604. >> he puts you and I in the same place as

  605. him."

  606. >> That's pretty good. If Paul said, "You

  607. know, you guys are kind of a mess. I

  608. probably can't help you, but I'll give

  609. you a few good verses that'll help you

  610. thousand years down the road." No. He

  611. said over there we having not getting

  612. going to get some way somehow. He said

  613. we having having that's current. We

  614. having we having it's right there. We

  615. having the same spirit of faith.

  616. >> Yeah. I mean we know we we talk about

  617. people back in the days when the there'd

  618. be a spirit of prayer that'd come in the

  619. church world. People sitting in the

  620. church power of God come in. Folks would

  621. fall to their knees begin to pray.

  622. They'd pray a move of God down. There's

  623. what we call spirit. It's not a

  624. different spirit other than the Holy

  625. Spirit, but there's um

  626. there's uh um it's an attitude of

  627. prayer. Church ought to have a spirit of

  628. prayer. There ought to be something on

  629. the inside of us where we know if we

  630. pray things going to change.

  631. >> There ought to be something on the

  632. inside of us. We know if we pray, God

  633. hears, God answers. You have not because

  634. you ask not. Ask and you shall receive

  635. that your joy may be full. If we pray,

  636. God will he will hear. He will answer.

  637. He's not a man that he should lie. Not

  638. the son of the son son of man that he

  639. should repent. He said it. He'll do it.

  640. He spoke it. He'll make it good. So we

  641. know we there ought to the church ought

  642. to have a spirit of prayer.

  643. >> That just ought to be ought to be ought

  644. to be ought to be. Heard from somebody

  645. the other day. they were in another

  646. country and they said I was in such and

  647. such a place and there's a group of

  648. people there in a Bible study and man

  649. they had a spirit of prayer on them and

  650. I thought I love hearing that halfway

  651. around the world but there's people that

  652. have got it's the same Holy Ghost but

  653. it's directed toward prayer but now Paul

  654. writing here and he says we having he's

  655. talking about the church you and I got

  656. he's you got something he said I'm

  657. telling you what you got and I'm going

  658. to tell you how it works we having

  659. >> what do we got

  660. the what

  661. >> you and I got the same faith the Apostle

  662. Paul had beat stoned shipwrecked left

  663. for dead he did dealt with all that but

  664. when he got to the end he fought the

  665. good fight he kept the faith he finished

  666. his course ready to be offered he he

  667. rose up and finished what he was given

  668. to do but then he writes to us and says

  669. we having the same spirit of faith you

  670. got what the apostle Paul had that's

  671. pretty good deal

  672. >> I used to read after and thinking that

  673. was so great and then I read that one

  674. day and I thought I got that

  675. didn't know it, but I got it. We having

  676. the same spirit of faith. And then he

  677. goes on says, I'm not going to leave you

  678. hanging. I'm going to let you know how

  679. this works. This is the basic of how

  680. this whole thing works. And we're not

  681. going to get any further this morning.

  682. We're just going to have to pick up in a

  683. couple weeks. But but when he makes this

  684. statement, we having the same spirit of

  685. faith according as it is written. Now,

  686. he quotes an Old Testament scripture out

  687. of the Psalms. According as it is

  688. written, I

  689. >> believed and therefore therefore

  690. >> I believed in therefore have I spoken.

  691. We also believe in therefore speak.

  692. Somebody said years ago, anytime you

  693. find a therefore, see what's stop and

  694. see what it's there for.

  695. >> I believed in what?

  696. >> Therefore, I spoke. I also believe in

  697. there. Why am I speaking? Because I

  698. believe.

  699. >> I'm not I'm not just speaking to trying

  700. to get something to happen. It starts

  701. out with what I'm believing on the

  702. inside. But off if I believe it on the

  703. inside and speak it out here. And that's

  704. what Paul's writing.

  705. We having the same spirit of faith

  706. according as it is written. I believed

  707. and therefore have I spoken. We also

  708. believe and therefore speak. That's how

  709. this whole system of life works. This is

  710. how this is how the life of faith works

  711. in the church world. If I will just take

  712. it and believe it and say it, I will get

  713. it. It may not happen instantly, but it

  714. will come to pass.

  715. >> I've got it. I've working. It's been

  716. working for me my entire life for 40

  717. years or whatever it did. It's been

  718. working for me. And if you'll do it,

  719. it'll work for you. If you'll take it,

  720. believe it, and say it, and stick with

  721. it. Somebody goes, "How long do I say

  722. it?" Until you get it.

  723. >> How long do I say it? Until it comes

  724. into full fruition. How long do I say

  725. it? Until what you believe comes out to

  726. what you are saying.

  727. >> And it's just such a simple truth that

  728. God, I believe there's a stirring right

  729. now. God is stirring this back up in the

  730. body of Christ for you and I to get hold

  731. of what what got us where we're at.

  732. >> I'm grateful for what got my life to

  733. where it is. I'm grateful. I re vividly

  734. remember the week this started working

  735. on the inside of me. It was in September

  736. to early October 1974. It started

  737. getting on the inside of me and and you

  738. know, yeah, do I need to brush up on

  739. that? You haven't found anything yet.

  740. You don't have to brush up on a little

  741. bit.

  742. But I'm going to brush up on it now

  743. because I don't know where we're going

  744. in the future. We need this working in

  745. our lives. We need to have the same

  746. spirit of faith working in us.

  747. >> There ought there ought to be people

  748. looking at us going, "They're that that

  749. group that turned the world upside down

  750. have come hither also."

  751. >> The people in the world out there ought

  752. to look at us and go, "These people are

  753. really strange, but they turned the

  754. world upside down. They're now they're

  755. coming after our neighborhood.

  756. >> Hang on, cuz we are." Amen.

  757. >> We know how this works. This is not some

  758. new newly devised fable. This is just

  759. how it works. It's just so simple. It's

  760. so simple God could get the kids to get

  761. it and teach the rest of us.

  762. >> Hallelujah. Glory to God. Well, we we've

  763. got a number of other things. We won't

  764. have time to get to it today. We'll pick

  765. up probably in a couple weeks time. But,

  766. uh, if we go back through, that's what

  767. Jesus said. And if you go to Romans the

  768. 10th chapter verses 6-10, that's what

  769. the Apostle Paul wrote to the uh Romans.

  770. Isn't that what he said? Sixth chapter.

  771. But the righteousness which is of faith

  772. speaketh on this wise. If it ain't

  773. speaking, it's not faith.

  774. >> Do I need to say that again

  775. >> in modern English? If it's not speaking,

  776. it's not faith.

  777. >> What I'm believing? Good. Keep

  778. believing. Don't quit that. But don't

  779. just stop with believing. Make sure what

  780. you say lines up with what you believe.

  781. Don't stop with believing. Grab the

  782. believing part. Mix the saying part with

  783. it. Believe it and say it. And you will

  784. see it come to full fruition in your

  785. life. Yeah. Well, I've done that before

  786. and it didn't work. Well, there's that

  787. going part. There's that saying part

  788. again. I did it. Didn't work. Didn't

  789. work. Didn't work. How about you turn

  790. that over and go, it always works for

  791. me.

  792. >> It always works for me. Joel 3:10. Let

    Joel 3:10

  793. the weak say I'm strong. I say I'm

  794. strong. I say I'm healthy. I say I'm a

  795. victorious. I say everything I set my

  796. hands to prosper. I'm just going to keep

  797. saying it.

  798. >> Somebody says, "What if it never comes

  799. to pass?" If it doesn't, it will not be

  800. my fault.

  801. >> I got to get stopped. Let's stand to our

  802. feet.

  803. The simple basic truths of have faith in

  804. God. If you stop and think about it,

  805. Mark the 11th chapter when Jesus taught

  806. his disciples about that. of all the

  807. teaching we've got old and new testament

  808. the the the most concise message we've

  809. got on the subject of faith most concise

  810. thing we've got in the Bible in the New

  811. Testament is where Jesus it's written in

  812. red and Jesus himself says I verily I

  813. say you have faith in God when my

  814. redeemer says I'm going to tell you how

  815. this works the least I can do is say I'm

  816. going to listen

  817. >> we there's all kinds of books on faith I

  818. got a library full books on faith, but I

  819. got the one from the author.

  820. >> He said it, he'll do it. He spoke it.

  821. He'll make it good. And I'm going to try

  822. one more time. Father, in the name of

  823. Jesus, thank you so much. Thank you,

  824. Father. What a privilege. What a

  825. privilege. What a privilege. What a

  826. privilege to be born again, bloodbought,

  827. redeemed. What a privilege to know that

  828. you you told us in your word how to get

  829. this God kind of faith working. You

  830. didn't say we got to go find it. You

  831. said it's already it's already residing

  832. and abiding in us. If we'll just get it

  833. working for us. If we'll just o open our

  834. hearts to receive and open our mouths to

  835. release, we will open our lives to have.

  836. >> So, I thank you for that, dear Father.

  837. And I I'm just I'm just reaching out

  838. with this ahead of time because it just

  839. seems to me we need to go further with

  840. this in the days to come. I uh I believe

  841. you want a faithfilled Bible believing,

  842. Bible talking, faithfilled church, body

  843. of Christ.

  844. anywhere you can get us. But it's

  845. specifically I know in this place if

  846. we'll do what you said to do, we'll have

  847. what you said we could have.

  848. >> You made it so simple for us. If it's

  849. difficult, it's because we made it that

  850. way, not because you made it that way.

  851. So we thank you for it in the wonderful

  852. name of Jesus. Glory to God. Hallelujah.

  853. So while heads are bowed and eyes are

  854. closed and you maybe maybe this is all

  855. new to you today, that's okay.

  856. For most all of us, it was new at one

  857. particular point. We're just we're just

  858. swinging back around to what got us

  859. where we're at and is going to keep us

  860. going better. If you're here and you

  861. just say, "Pastor Mark, I I don't know

  862. anything about this, but number one, I

  863. my life's not right with God. I'm not

  864. walking in a place with Jesus where I

  865. need to be. I've maybe been in church,

  866. maybe haven't been in church, maybe grew

  867. up in church, maybe didn't grow up in

  868. church, but if you'd say, "Pastor, I I I

  869. uh

  870. I I just don't know anything about all

  871. this." And my the problem is I'm not

  872. right with God, and it's not his fault,

  873. but I want to get that right. I want to

  874. know when I walk out the doors of this

  875. place today. I want to know when I walk

  876. out of here that I will never again have

  877. to question where I stand with God.

  878. Never again have to wonder where am I at

  879. with him? Where's my relationship with

  880. him? Where do I stand with almighty the

  881. creator of the universe? Where do I

  882. where am I with him?

  883. That's my choice. All I need to do is

  884. say, "Jesus, I make you lord of my

  885. life." If I'll do that, I open heaven's

  886. gates up and my life from that point

  887. through eternity will be connected with

  888. him. If that's you, wave your hand at

  889. me. If you'd say, "Pastor, I need to

  890. make Jesus Lord of my life." I know what

  891. it's like to be away. I know what it's

  892. like to be away from God. It's

  893. miserable.

  894. It's miserable. But that was my choice.

  895. I made a decision one night, said enough

  896. of this. Prayed a simple prayer, came

  897. back, and I've been walking with him

  898. ever since. It's a growing process.

  899. [snorts] But if you're here and say,

  900. "Pastor, I do not know Jesus as my

  901. savior." Things are not right between

  902. God and me. Say, "Well, I grew up in

  903. church. Maybe I prayed a sinner sinner's

  904. prayer at one point, but but I'm away

  905. from God right now. Things are not good

  906. between God and me, and it's my fault.

  907. It's not his." If that's you, wave your

  908. hand at me. I want to pray for you.

  909. Hallelujah. Glory to anybody here.

  910. Give you lots of time. Oh, Father, in

  911. the wonderful name of Jesus, thank you

  912. so much. Thank you for your uh wonderful

  913. goodness and your blessing. God, my

  914. you're my God. Early will I seek you. My

  915. soul longeth for thee. My flesh

  916. thirsteth for thee. In a dry and thirsty

  917. land where no water is. to see your

  918. power and to see your glory as I've seen

  919. you in the sanctuary. God, I I pray in

  920. this house. I can't speak for everybody

  921. else, but I can speak for this place.

  922. We're pursuing your presence. We're

  923. going after your worship. We're going to

  924. spend time where you are, and we're

  925. going to invite you in anytime you ever

  926. want to come. We're going to we're going

  927. to invite you anytime anytime we're

  928. coming in here. If there's one of us or

  929. more, we're expecting your uh the

  930. invitation for you to be in here. And

  931. we'll we'll rejoice in that and be glad.
