throughout the year NYC and camp meetings and, you know,

conferences and different things.

And so it's just like, you know, getting around with other young

people and just given that identity that they're not alone

and it's not just them at their own location in their own City

and town. But this thing is so much bigger

than any single one of us and so it's important to broaden our

worldview sometimes, broaden our worldview and take all of that

into consideration. A man, Luke chapter number

number five, if you'll turn there with me this morning, I

want to read a story out of the Gospel feel like, God is dealt

with my spirit this week and I'll just concerning some of the

things here in the Book of Luke. I'm reading in the Book of Luke

right now, I'm going to preach out of Luke 5 this morning and

I'm preaching out of Luke 5 tonight.

Please do not miss tonight. Please do not miss the night.

I feel very very, very, very impressed by the Holy Ghost of

what I'm going to minister tonight.

It was together Thursday and I just feel very impressed.

As a matter of fact I'm not talk to anybody else and we never

threw no theme on this year, but I feel like that needs to be the

thrust. What happens in this service

tonight needs to be the thrust for this year for us as a church

in the congregation. And so please do not miss a man

being here and we'll see what the Lord will do.

But let's look at Luke chapter. Number five, verse 24.

These verses are important as well.

Amen, going to speak to you on this morning verse number 24,

and we are we are diving in a story that that is already taken

place here. This is the healing of the

paralytic. Man, who was born of his four

friends, went through the roof, all that scenario, this were

diving into the story here. Amen today.

And I might teach, I might treat you, I might preach, but

nonetheless were just going With the word of the Lord has to say

this morning, Luke 5 and verse 24.

Jesus is speaking here in response, but he says, but that

ye may know that the son of man hath power up on Earth to

forgive sins, he said unto the sick of the palsy, I say unto

thee, arise take up my couch and go into thine house and

immediately he rose up before them and took up what that we're

On he lay and departed to his own house glorifying.

God and they were all amazed and they glorify God and were filled

with fear saying we have seen strange things today.

Please note again, the Lord spoke to him arise take up by

couch and the response is that he rose up and took up that

whereon. He lay a man for a little while

this morning. I wanted Minister this Eject

carrying? What carried you.

Carrying what carried you a man? Can we go to the Lord in prayer

today? Father, we thank you.

God, for your mercy and for your grace, I pray O, Lord today that

you have the minister Lord in this place.

God, I know Lord your help God that you have availed me, Lord

Jesus with this week. God and I have felt Lord a

passion God about both of these messages who lured for today.

God, whether that passion leaks over on your people?

I know not but God, I'm going to try to be a steward Lord over

what you have given. And to me today, Lord, and I'm

going to preach and Minister your word.

And I'm going to lift up the name of Jesus and the word of

God. Lord.

Let it stand before us magnify it.

Today. Above your name.

I pray Jesus in this house and we will not fail to thank you,

or Praise. You.

Lord, For What You Do here today, in Jesus name I pray and

the church say, amen. Amen.

You may be seated this morning carrying what carried you.

The paralytic or the man of paralysis, hear his story.

If you were to begin to read in verse number 17 through verse

number 26, there are some very amazing elements for preaching

in the story if you allow the stories of scripture to come up

and become alive brother, trout being more than just like a

story or something fictional that you're reading the trying

to glean some type of entertainment out of.

But if you allow it to be there, All story that it was for its

culture and its day, there are some amazing elements in the

story. One of those Elm elements is the

fact that four of his friends took him to Jesus whenever he

could not get there on his own. For friends of his, maybe he had

the desire to, I don't know, but he could not get there by

himself. He could not get there on his

own and so these individuals that were called his friends

helped get him to where Jesus was when he could not get there

on his own. And so as an outsider that's

just heart-wrenching the think of the diligence and and the

mindfulness that these four friends had of another one that

perhaps wanted to get to the Lord, couldn't get there by

himself that they were going to do.

What was within their power in order to Aid in helping, get him

to, where Jesus is, that's the type of ring G1 people.

That's going to help get you to, where the Lord is.

And so, that's just an amazing Point within itself.

Not only that when we look at these four friends, another

amazing element of this story is that they had the determination.

These four friends had the determination, so much.

So of getting him to the Lord. That the Bible says that they

tore a portion of the roof. Off the house, in order for that

man to have a move of God, they were tearing off the roof for

themselves per se, they weren't doing that for their own

benefit. They were doing that for

somebody else's benefit be, they climbed up on that roof, taking

out tile, mud, and sticks, and whatever they could in order to

have access to let this man down into the presence of the Lord.

And so, that's very inspirational, amen.

Again, seeing the dirt determination of these four on

behalf of show. Somebody else and then it

motivates us just a little bit more when we consider, why they

did this when we considered that, they couldn't just enter

into the front door of the house.

Because the Bible says, there is this Grand multitude that was

all around and inside the house, there were no further room if

you will, in order for them to enter, they were hindered by all

of the other people. They were hindered by the Press,

they were hindered by the multitude all around.

And so they this multitude, These other peoples and groups

they were what was standing between this man.

A man, that was paralyzed that in his answer.

And so these four friends are getting on the roof because

they're just, they're just at the place.

We're not going to allow anything to stand in the way.

We're not going to allow anything to stand in the way.

Amen. For this man's answer of what he

needs a notice before friends, didn't look at you know, John

looked over. And Bob said, well, I guess

everything's full were just going to have to go back home.

No. No, they didn't look at each

other and say, well we came this far.

I guess we'll just stop by Chick-fil-A and get some

macaroni and cheese and just head on back to the house.

No, they weren't. They're making excuses about how

they wasn't going to be able to fulfill what they intended to

do. But rather they made an

entrance. Someway somehow it's just a lot

of good preaching points in this story, we're encouraged by

their, their idea, and their sensitivity to know.

And when the Time was ripe, Amen.

To get this man to the Lord understanding and recognizing

Troubled Waters. If you will or opportune moments

for the working of God for their friend.

Because the Bible tells us in verse 17, as Jesus was entering

into this space and this area, the Bible says that the power of

the Lord was present to heal them and evidently these four

friends have picked up on. There's something in the

atmosphere right now. There, there's something in the

surroundings, right? Now that I have faith and

believe that, if we could have an interaction with the Divine

with this man, something could take place he he could go home

differently than what he came and I've determined at whatever

cost, whatever work in order to get this.

Divine encounter because I'm sensitive right now.

There's something here, something here and we're going

to capitalize on the prospect of this man being healed.

Not a good lot of good elements. In this story, the Bible says

that Jesus saw the faith of the for particularly he said, he saw

the faith of these four men. And when he did the scripture

says it, it kind of throws us a little curveball right here.

That he doesn't tell the man to walk her.

He doesn't heal the man, but rather he forgives, the man of

his sins and by all appearances, it would seem that this man is

in need of a physical healing yet.

Jesus, doesn't it? Address that first.

He doesn't address that in the moment.

Amen. But he heals, this man's sins

Jesus. All a deeper healing, so to

speak that, this man needed, then his physical body being

attended to, and whenever Jesus did this, man, it caused a

Ruckus among the multitude, it caused a Ruckus among the crowd

there, there people that started to say that the religious Elite

if you will and thus turkey caller Christians in the House

Began. Begin to say.

No man. Can forgive sins?

Except God. And so, there's a little little

Ripple in the water. Amen.

Around. What is happening?

They couldn't just take it for what it was.

A little Ruckus going on and Jesus, he illustrates his power,

he tells him what which is easier to say thy sins be

forgiven thee or take up your bed and walk or rice and walk

which is easier to say he said. But so that you'll know that the

son of man has power on Earth to forgive sins because I know when

I say your sins are forgiven I know that you can't necessarily

see some instantaneous visible sign that you see seeing start

eating away out of somebody's body.

I know you can't witness that with your eyes.

He said, but I'll heal this man of his, his paralytic, his

paralyzed condition and whenever you see that happen, you'll know

that by the very same power that his physical body has been

healed. I can heal a show, can I say

just as a side note today, if you're ever somewhere where

there is a, perhaps Miracle Crusade or Miracles are

happening, signs are happening. Let me tell you, You?

What Jesus is demonstrating to us, amen.

Whenever that person gets up and walk whenever that cancer

shrinks and it's no more. You know what he's telling us.

If I can do that, I can save them.

If I can do that, I can heal them of the disease of sinful

nature, if the power of God You see me do this?

Perhaps you'll believe, perhaps, you'll believe that his sins are

remitted which you can't necessarily see, but it takes

place by the very same power and all of that, listen, any one of

those I could have taken this week and we could just build a

sermon around any of those ideas.

Good elements of the story, good preaching points sermons have

been built around them, several those Concepts and they

produced, no doubt. Good applicable lessons for each

one of us in our in our daily lives and in our Christian lives

in the life of the church. However, this morning, I want to

focus on a lesser stressed phrase in the story.

It's certainly not the passages focal point, it's not

necessarily the central idea of the story, but I believe it is a

vital topic for contemplation for us this morning as well.

Jesus, again asked the scribes and the Pharisees and verse 23

weather is it easier to say thy sins be forgiven thee or rise

and walk. That was his question.

That was his statement and yet whenever Jesus spoke Is that

when Jesus actually commanded the man to do, what he commanded

him. It wasn't as he spoke it to the

Pharisees to the Pharisees. He said, would it be easier to

say rise and walk? But when he actually gives the

command he inserts a little something extra, he inserts a

little bit, something additional his command to the paralytic

man. Was this to arise.

Take up your couch or your bed and go home, that's where the

walking payment place and the response of the paralytic man

was this, it says, he took, he arose, he took up.

What took up that whereon, he lay and departed to his house.

The the ESV from, which I read it from this week, said it like

this and he picked up what he had been lying.

Don. Human Chain, man.

And the Bible says, Sister Margaret, everybody is amazed.

Everybody is in all listen to this morning.

We don't know. We don't know the extensiveness

of this man's paralytic State. We don't know if it was just a

certain limb of his body that was paralyzed.

We don't know if he was paralyzed from his neck down.

It's possible that he might have been a paraplegic.

A man that was laying on On his bed.

A paraplegic that was there anyway.

If they're person is paralyzed they're going to have some type

of limited a man incapable movement.

If you will impart or in the majority of their body, what

that means is this, they are dependent on others in many

regards. He meant being the paraplegic,

being is not like a paraplegic today.

It's not as though they had a wheelchair and they had these

Contraptions above their bad to be able to you know know it.

What's it? Like that.

Then he me and there he had to be dependent upon others.

He's suffered. If you will somewhere in his

life. Or maybe even born this way, you

suffered the loss of sensation in one or several areas of his

body. And most of his days are spent

on his bed, most of his days, he's going to be on his bed.

As a matter of fact, today the statistics that I found in red

were that the average person, there was a average that's me,

everage person spends about 26 years, sleeping in their life.

Which equates to nine thousand four hundred and ninety days.

Or if you will, 220 220 7760 hours.

Surprisingly, this is not surprisingly.

We also spend seven years trying to get to sleep.

That's 33 years or 12,000, 45 days, spent in bed.

This man being a paralytic, man. He's not the average man.

It's not the average individual. So the amount of time in his

lifetime that he would spend in bed would exceed the 33 years of

time of being in bed. He's not again afforded, but

modern-day Contraption of a wheelchair or other Furnishings

to help him. He men with his dilemma, his

Hours in that day and culture are going to be spent in bed

significantly. More this, the average, Joe, if

you will this morning that paralyzed man is going to sleep

in bed, he's going to have his meals in bed.

He's going to lay in bed as he has social interaction.

With others, if you will grant totality of what his life is and

what he does. So to speak all takes place in

men while laying on his bed. It's during this time of

paralysis. During this time of lack of

movement in in capability that this man is laying on his bed,

his bad. Please understand today, that

his bed has supported him and almost every area of his life

sleeping and eating In and socializing, his bed was always

there under him. His bed was always there for him

to lay upon and support him. He men.

Yes, at this time, it's been carried to the house where Jesus

is, but his bed is only make mobile by his four friends.

His bed was there before the four friends came, and his bed

was there when they let him down at the feet of Jesus.

Amen. When they been there or not,

he's always had the bed. Huh.

Someone came in and so what Jesus does In This Moment He

commands something of this paralytic man more than what he

adverse told the scribes and the Pharisees because he tells this

man to do more than rise and walk.

He says her eyes. Take up your couch or take up

your bed and go home. Someone say, Amen.

And whenever we read this and what we typically focus on is

this man couldn't get up. And he's getting up.

This man couldn't walk to where Jesus is, but now, he's walking

home. Not only that some people want

to concentrate upon verse number 25 because the Bible says

immediately he arose and began to do something and so there's

others that want to concentrate upon the immediate see of

everything happening of him getting up and going on his

journey home. Those are usually the focuses

but I submit to you on this Sunday morning.

That when this man gained that sensation back in those limbs

that had not when that man gained a capability back in his

body that was not formally there that he had lost somewhere along

the way or perhaps did not have for forever whenever he got up

from what he had been laying on for years.

What had supported him, what had carried him?

Where he ate from, where he slept at, where you at Social?

Datian the bed and always been there, but whatever he gained

sensation, the Bible says he took up that bed, the very thing

that had been carrying him all his life.

He says, I'm going to take that up now and I'm going to carry

it. What do you dependent?

Gosh. Someone Che man.

Someone say yes. Well, you're preaching this

morning Pastor. Maybe I'll tell you what I'm

preaching. I'm preaching this.

There is a transition in this story.

There is an exchange in this story.

He's been dependent on that bad. I'm going to drive it.

I'm going to be repetitive. Hallelujah, that bed has been

his primary support his life and activities, have depended on

that bed. It Involved the pad in every

meaningful event of his life. The bed was there and every

traumatic event of his life. The bed was there.

The bed had a supporting role? It was silent.

Yes, undetected. Sometimes because it was so

regular that it was there. So regular that it was her and

perhaps sometimes overlooked, even because we just expect that

commands going to have this bad but now, someone say now Beyond

his own volition Beyond his own choosing Why are you saying

that? Because the very command of

Christ, Expected this of this, man.

He included it it was just as important or just as his part of

his command of saying get up and walk.

This part was just as important to hit the tell him take up your

bed. Take up your bed and he picks up

what he's been lying on and he carries someone say, amen, he

carries. What has been carrying him?

This is what did not happen in the story.

He hadn't laid there all these years been transported on it.

Those years eight, their, those years for the moment that this

Divine miracle, and healing Good place for him to get up and

neglect the bed. Leave the bed and just head on

home. That is not what he did.

He didn't have this mindset. I don't need you anymore.

I'll leave you there. I know.

I don't know how old the man was but let's say sporty.

I know you've been there in every area of my life for 40

years. I know I've been on you to eat

and to sleep in the socialize but now I can look at me now and

he didn't just leave a no no no. The Bible says he took the very

thing that had aided him helped him supported him.

He said I'm not going to neglect you now, you've carried me to

this point, but from this point forward, I'm going to carry you.

You Read me to this position. But from this bill, you carried

me all these years traumatic times, meaningful times, I'm

going to pick up what's been tearing me and I'm going to

care. Someone say, Amen.

I got Mobility. Now I got sensation now but I

refused someone say refused, but I refuse to forget what's

carried me. With a sense of respect.

With the sense of Honor. As an act of appreciation, he

picks up. What had carried him, come and

say, Amen. Someone say, Amen.

You know what the mind of the man was.

I'm, I might feel like, I don't need you right now on this

instant, but I've lived too many years to know that there's going

to be another time. Along the way, I'm going to need

that bad. I know it seems like I'm good on

my own two feet right now, and it would be like, I'd never even

need to mess with that again. He said, but I'm just a little

too wise a man to understand he meant that I'll never need that

again. No, no, no, no.

I'm going to need that again somewhere along the way he said,

but until then until it comes to that place, again, I'm going to

carry it and I'm going to take care of it because it carried me

and it Took care of me when I was helpless, pre Adventure will

carry me again, in the future, but, honey, where's it gonna be?

If I don't carry it now. It carried me when I couldn't

sense of something was hurting me or not.

He came in, I couldn't sense of something was hurting me or not.

All of my sensitivity was was dull was obsolete, huh?

I couldn't tell but it carried me then.

Let me preach to like this. It carried me to the point to

where I am today. He carried me to the point that

I am today. I can't forsake that I can't

Overlook that. I can't ignore that.

And I'm not going home. Without what's without what has

carried me all these years? Can I tell everybody sitting on

the sound of my voice to this morning?

There should be such a point, there should be such a point in

each person's life when they begin to carry what's carried

them. There should be a point in each

person's life on this journey that when we've been supported

by a message, when we've been supported by a truth, when we've

been supported by the master. When we been supported a men by

the Divine hand of God that on this Venture there's been silent

truths. That's not just been Spectators

that participators in our tragedies but it kept us sane.

When we were going through some difficult times, those things

that power that message that God has carried you.

And now that you finally find your footing, you're going to

ignore that Overlook Pat. Put it to the side and snow are

heck no interplay in your life a thousand times.

No, you need to bend down and pick up that message and that

truth and that reality that's carried you and you need to

unashamedly carry it now. Now.

Some Say, Amen. Paul tells the church at Rome

for. I am not ashamed.

Of the gospel of Christ. Anybody ready to go out to eat

with me today? Like this We want to go brother

Heath, you want to go to Taco? I'll just go in.

You get me a son shall Supreme and chicken piggyback as we

stand in line with all the other people from churches coming in.

You okay with that? My okay, with that.

Looks kind of silly. You carrying that thing around.

Not when you understand it carried me.

For X number of years, X, number of times through X, number of

situations. That means going home.

However long home was everybody that the season?

He's got his Matt he's got his bed.

Look at Joey over there. I'm not hanging my head.

This carried me when I couldn't carry myself.

There are probably some that new the predicament of the man.

And they're like, not even saying the word because they're

like, I get it, I used to see him on top.

But now he's got it on top of his shoulder.

Paul said, I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is

the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth to

the Jew first and also, to the Greek.

Paul the scripture says, listen to me this morning.

The scripture tells us that Paul said that he was the chief.

Everybody say, chief, he was the chief of Sinners, but Bible says

he was so unaccepted by other religious Elite and some of the

other disciples whenever he first had his conversion, the

Bible says that he spent three years in Arabia alone and by

himself. And he was getting the

instruction of God. Not from another disciple or

another person, but from God himself, people wasn't accepting

him because he was the persecutor of Christians.

He had done this and that and the other He-Man, all of these

things, he was the chief of Sinners and they weren't

accepting the sincerity of his conversion, he man.

But you know what? He understood?

What what got him to where he was?

That gospel had carried him and now he was going Flipper.

Amen to switch and he was going to carry the gospel.

Paul says in 2nd Corinthians 11, as he gives us his portfolio of

life. He said, listen, he says a night

and a day, I've spent in the Deep.

He said, I've been in prison more frequently than many and

motion. He says, I've been beaten.

I've suffered a shipwreck. I've been in Perils of my own

countrymen, and I've been in perils by the Heathen.

He said, by all along the way, this message, this truth, this

gospel has carried me. So you better believe.

I'm not leaving it in the dust. I'm going to pick it up.

I'm going to pick up what? Karen me.

I'm not ashamed of this. I'm not I'm not ashamed of his.

It supported me when I couldn't support myself, it's been

involved in every area of my life.

When nobody else was involved. I'm going to carry it.

The extra comforter. Carrie.

What has carried? You.

Perhaps one of the more. honorable, and Respectable even

coveted positions. Years ago.

In the military of early years of warfare.

Was a flag bearers. Position.

Not only was it a vital position.

For Warfare. It was a dangerous position lot

of flag, bearers lost their life. the flag bearer was a

vital position, because From a short distance.

A general. could see where the flag of his company or the flag

of his state or country was And that flag served as a rallying

point. For all the soldiers they knew

where their movement was on the battlefield because of where the

flag was, They could run to their and they could reposition

themselves because they knew where the flag was and the

general could do his strategy because he knew where his people

were located because of the flag, someone's bearing the

flag. But this alone in our minds,

then drove many men to want and covet to take up the flag.

Bearers position whenever another flag bearer was killed

in the battle because if there was no flag flying, no one knew

where their people were there was no flag flying.

The general didn't know where where his men, his Detachment of

men were and so it was a very coveted thing.

If a man died that was bearing the flag.

There's going to be another Soldier throat Down his weapon

and go grab the flag and lift it up.

Stories have been told, I have read them.

I preach probably some of it here before stories.

Have been told where a battle has been completing over.

And there's been seen a fallen flag of a Detachment of army

with bodies piled up, where it was.

Why? Because of every success of man,

that grab the flag and got shot, grab the flag and got shot, grab

the flag because it was important.

Compare the flag and it was a testimony.

All those bodies of where the flag was laying.

It was a testimony. Of the privilege that those men

saw him tearing. The flat.

But there's something more. Because in the United States,

our flag is the visible emblem of our country.

Its history. It's 50 states, the United

States flag and I know some people have been very

disrespectful in recent decades concerning our flag, but our

United States flag is a symbol of freedom.

It's a symbol of Liberty. That's your reason why we say we

pledge allegiance to that. We're pledging allegiance to the

liberty and the freedom that that flag symbolizes.

It has his 13 stripes of red and white that represent the 13

original colonies. That began this nation that were

a part of. It has those 50 stars on the

blue field of that flag. That represent the 50 current

states. A man, that is a Part of this

United States of America, the raddest signifies, The Valor and

The Bravery, the white signifies, the Purity and the

Innocence, the blue signifies, the vigilance, the perseverance,

the justice, and the Loyalty of our country.

So when a man carried the flag, He was carrying The Bravery of

those who had separated from England in search of another

country. When a man carried the flag, he

was carrying the Purity and the innocence of a newly, founded

government of the People by the people.

And for the people, when a man carried the flag, he was

carrying the justice and the vigilance that allowed his feet

to stand on America. It's toriel with freedom and

liberty. That was unparalleled anywhere

else. What are you saying?

I'm saying, when a man carried the flag, he was carrying

everything that symbolized, what had carried him.

He was carrying everything that symbolized, what?

Had carried every single fellow American to where they were

today. The good ous.

Why were the piles of bodies up? Yeah, because it was crucial,

but also because we got here, Because of everything that

represents it carried us across oceans to hear.

We're going to carry it now. Look, if you willed Exodus, 19.

And verse number four, scripture says you have seen what I did

unto the Egyptians. How I bear you on.

Eagle's Wings and brought you to myself.

God, speaking to the nation of Israel.

Speaking of them about their deliverance from Egypt, right?

Taskmasters leather and straps against their back.

He says, I bore you. Let me put it in these terms.

I carried you. I carried you out of Egypt.

I carried you across the Red Sea.

I carried you to the Mount of God.

But tarry Jew. We looked in at Deuteronomy 1

and verse 31 of the Bible says, and in the wilderness where thou

has seen, how that the Lord thy. God, everybody say bear bear

thee. As a man, doth bear.

His son in all, in all, the way that he went look until he came

into this place, Watch his. I carried you Israel.

I carried you out of Egypt. I delivered you from the

Egyptians. They were throwing your son's in

the river. The Midwives were taken your

children and slay in them, but I carried you out.

Not only that in your 40 Years of wandering do to your

Disobedience. I carried you.

Then I carried you. When there was no water to find

water, I carried you. When you had no food, I supplied

food, I carried you in. There were fiery serpents and I

brought healing. I carried you.

I carried you through the, the Red Sea.

I carried you through to the Jordan River.

Twice. I carried you until this moment.

Now, you're having the second opportunity of entering into

what I promised you the second opportunity of entering into

your inheritance. I have carried you all along the

way, the leather and straps. He I carried you away from that.

I carried you whenever Xscape look impossible, I carried you

through all of these things. Your victories.

I carried you through it. Your disappointments.

I carried you through it, your failures in the wilderness, I

carried you through it. And all of that has been done

Deuteronomy 131, until you've come into this place.

What? The promised land I've done this

all alone on this journey until you've come into this place.

We're at the edge of the promised land.

We're just a few feet away of the priest stepping in the

Jordan and the water splitting, and you going on into your

inheritance and I've carried you all these years all All along

the way, till this place. And you know what?

He then is imploring them and pleading with them, then says,

I've done it from here. Now, I'm just asking you, will

you begin to carry? Will you begin to carry?

What has carried you? I plead with you.

Will you as a nation of Israel? Begin to carry what has carried?

You will you take, what's brought you through the

Wilderness and gave you food? Will you take that and carry it

forward? Will you carry it Forward?

Why? Because we see at these River

moments, you know what God? You know what God has solidified

with the nation of Israel? He says I need you to keep my

Covenant. I needed to keep my precepts.

I need you to keep my statutes. You know what, he's asking them.

Will you carry? What carried you?

You're about ready to go over into your promise, this is the

very thing. You've been longing for.

This is your inheritance, I said it's yours, he said, but there's

been some things, a covenant that we've had with each other.

It's carried you to the brink of this water.

Will you pick that Covenant up now?

And will you carry it? Will you be obedient to my

statutes? Will you be obedient to my

Covenant? Will you be obedient to my

purposes? My plans.

My precepts are my principles. Will you carry what's carried?

You will you carry? What's?

Got you to where you're at? Up until this place up until

this land carry, the Covenant that supported, you carry carry

the Covenant. That defended you against your

adversaries. Are you willing to carry what

defended you now? Someone say men carrying What

has carried? You.

Sure, I feel the Holy Ghost. In the New Testament scripture.

When Jesus told his disciples. To take up their cross.

And follow him. He had not yet been to Calvary.

That's in the gospel writings Matthew, Mark, Luke and John

prior to Calvary, Calvary takes place at the end of most of

those stories of the gospels. But it's prior to that, that

Jesus request is of this, his disciples take up your cross.

Follow me, everyone of that culture in that day because this

was this is the way punishment was.

Carried out, everyone to that culture.

In that day, knew anyone who was seen carrying a cross.

Was on their way to be crucified.

Everyone they knew for the trout.

If someone is walking down the dusty road with a Cross Beam on

their shoulder, they're on their way to be crucified.

That was just common knowledge. It's the way it was and Jesus is

asking his disciples before there was ever Calvary in his

life. For them to take up their cross.

Can I say it wasn't an enticing picture, then So, be carrying

the cross to say the least. If I tell you this morning what

Jesus was doing with his disciples, listen to me very

clearly, I won't hold you much longer.

He was asking them to do something in advance.

Without them really realizing the value of it.

Let me state it like this and I'll put the pieces together for

you. But Sister Margaret, he was

asking them to carry something that would carry them.

McGee. Christ died on the cross for

Who. Me.

In the body of Christ, according to scripture.

The sins of all of humanity. Was hung on that cross in and by

virtue of the body of Christ hanging on that cross.

The Bible says, in Romans 6:6. The Apostle Paul says to the

Romans 6:6

church at Rome knowing this That our old man.

Is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed

that henceforth. We should not serve sin.

Let me tell you this, Calvary in the man Christ Jesus, that

flesh, that body hanging on the cross that cross was carrying

every single person as Jesus was hanging.

As Jesus was hanging on that cross.

The sins of Peter, and James, and John, and Bartholomew, and

Judas, and David, and Moses, and Abraham and Ruth.

We're hanging and being carried by that cross too.

As he hung on Calvary as he hung on that cross that cross carried

all of those. That the Bible portrays, his

being a far-off and all those that were near that cross was

carrying all the Jews and all the Gentiles that cross was

carrying all the bond and all the three.

It was carrying both male and female, amen, through the Flesh

of that, man, Christ Jesus on the cross that cross was

carrying all that, that cross was carrying the circumcised and

the uncircumcised at Calvary, All these were represented and

present in the flesh of Jesus Christ as he was carried on

Calvary by the cross. So much.

That Galatians 4:6 14 says this Paul says but God forbid and

Galatians 4:6

stand with me please but dr. Bid he says that I should Glory.

Save. In the cross. of the Lord Jesus

Christ by whom the world is crucified unto me and I unto the

world. So when Jesus says in the

gospels, what seems to be prematurely to his disciples

take up at times, it's worded, take up the cross at other

places. It's were to take up thy cross.

And fault. When he says that what seems to

be prematurely he's doing more and please understand.

Carrying what was carrying you? Some of us not willing to do it

unless it's comfortable. He was asking them, please

understand this very well. Everybody knows someone carrying

across. They're going to go, they're

going to go die. Well, he's asking them to do

more than just die. The die out to some things.

He's asking them maybe prematurely may be ahead of the

game. He's asking them.

Will you carry? What's going to carry?

You. Why Lord, he said because

there's going to be a critical Exchange in your life.

There's going to be a critical transition in your life.

A lot of people, they don't even deny, they even don't know the

presence or the interaction of their of God in their life until

they get the Holy Ghost. But let me tell you something

before you ever came to God. There was a bad carrying you.

There was a bad carrying you there, there was a cross

carrying you. But after you've had your

exchange after you've had your point, if you will of

transition, he just wants to know.

Will you carry what has carried? You, will you carry, what?

Supported you in your ends in your outs, and your indecision

will, will, I'm trying? I'm trying to encourage you That

it's been there all alone. Maybe undetected, and unknown,

but will you pick it up and carry it?

Now, if you close your eyes all across this place, I asked this

congregation congregation today. I ask those that are here this

morning. I ask you some just simple

questions today. Will you carry this truth?

That's carried. You will you carry this message

that you've depended upon? Will you carry this Covenant?

That God has made with you. Will you carry this?

Love That's undergirded. You and cared for you.

Will you carry this cross? Cause the consensus of all of

them, brother Mason that day, that witnessed the man getting

up going home and more, particularly for our purses

purposes. Take up his couch or his bed,

the witness, the consensus of all them was this.

We have seen strange things today.

The word strange, their brother, Zach means, simply this, it

means they had seen some things contrary to expectation.

They had seen some things, contrary to expectation for

crying out loud. I didn't expect a roof to get

torn off today. For crying out loud.

I didn't expect to see a paralytic man walking away from

this place today but perhaps more importantly than all of

that. I didn't expect to see somebody

start to carry, what had carried them.

I'm wondering today could something strange happened here

this morning could something strange happened here.

This morning those of us that have depended upon our you know,

quote unquote So bad that symbolized a men?

As a message in a truth or even God himself, that that's

dependent upon that that's laid upon that.

That's been there. Will somebody today?

Well, somebody today arise and pick up what they've relied upon

pick up, what they depended upon pick up what has supported them

and now will you support this message and will you advance

forth with it? Will you support this message

and will you take some steps into your future with it?

You're going to need it again some Where along the way.

But will you carry it today? Sir or ma'am?

I don't care if you've been safe for 30 years or 3 minutes.

I'm asking you today, will you carry what's carried?

You This would be a good time as the paralytic man did to respond

to the voice of the Lord. Will you carry?

What has carried you? This altar is open, folks.

Altar is so important. Altar calls.

So important, this is where transition and divine exchanges,

and things take place. Will you carry what's carried?

You today, will you carry what's carried?

You will you overlook it? Will you neglect?

It, will you just put it aside? So no, I'm good now.

Will you pick up what carried you when you couldn't get up?

Will you carry? Well, you carry, hmm.
