Amen. As he comes to minister the word

of the Lord. Let's give the Lord a great

praise tonight. Come on, let's praise him.

You're worthy. You're worthy.

You're worthy. Hallelujah.

Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

So good to be in the House of the Lord tonight.

And. You'll have to excuse my voice.

I am not sick. I don't have COVID.

I don't feel bad at all. Little little tired.

But other than that. But I preached Texas camp last

week and then just been in so many different climates and

allergies and sinuses and it's really taking a toll on my

voice. But so don't be scared and just

preach with me tonight, even though I may not be able to

preach to my fool. Capacity, but so good to be back

here. I think it's been a couple years

now since I've been here and excited to be back and give

honor. Probably the easiest way to do

it is to say the McGee family. What a.

But I give honor to all the McGee family, leadership,

pastors, Bishop, all the Saints of God.

Thank you for all of your kindness to the years, your

friendship and as I've said many times before.

Sister Don McGee and she's like me, she's a East Tennessee

hillbilly transplant. And so we go way, way back and

and I'm just thankful for the friendship through the years of

your pastoral leadership team and myself.

And I appreciate them very, very, very much.

If you have your Bibles, turn with me to the book of Matthew.

Thank you for letting me be here tonight.

Matthew, the 13th chapter. And we're going to read 3 verses

there, beginning with verse #53, Matthew 1353.

If you have it, say Amen. If you didn't look at all, say

that's me. Nobody's going to take that one.

Matthew 1353. And it came to pass that when.

Jesus had finished these parables.

He departed thence. And when he was coming to his

own country, he taught them in their synagogue in so much that

they were astonished. And they said, whence had this

man, this wisdom in these mighty works?

And verse 55 is what I want us to really key in on tonight.

That's where I'll get my title from.

Is not this the carpenter's son? That's what I want to preach

tonight, the carpenter's son. Would you set your Bible down?

Let your hands and hearts to heaven, and let's talk to the

Lord one more time. Lord, we love you and we thank

you for your power. Thank you for your majesty and

your glory, your anointing that we feel God strengthened My

voice, and anoint me to preach your anointed Word tonight.

God, annoint your people to hear your Word, to receive your Word,

and most importantly, to respond to your Word.

God, I ask you to move in here today.

I ask you to work in this house tonight.

Do what only you can do. We give you praise for what

you're going to do. In the mighty matchless name of

Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Why don't you clap your hands one more time?

And the Bible says not only to clap, but to shout.

Can you add a shout? To your hand clap.

Thank you. You can be seated.

When the people from the holy ones hometown heard him speak,

they began to question. Many questions arose.

Where did this woodworker? Surrounded by wood chips.

Get such wisdom. Could a savior come from the

shavings lying. Littered on the carpenter's

floor. Could Salvation come from the?

Shop of the Carpenter. Could an average artesian be the

anointed one? Could a teacher arise from the

tools of the carpenter's bench? Could.

This Craftsman be the Christ. Could this builder be the one

the one that over 300? Prophecies were written about.

Now when it comes to the first. 30 years of the life of Jesus

Scripture. Is mostly silent, except.

For a brief glimpse of him teaching at the synagogue at the

early age of 12, we really don't know much.

About him. No miracles are recorded, no

ministry that we are aware of. There are no quotes.

There are no scriptures that were written.

But Jewish tradition would suggest that Jesus, around the

age of 10, would have been The Apprentice of his earthly

father, Joseph, in his trade of being a Carpenter.

Just a common Carpenter. I find it amazing tonight that

he wasn't born into a physician's home, even though he

is our great physician. He wasn't born the shepherd's

son, even though he is our Good Shepherd, our Great Shepherd,

and our Chief Shepherd, even though he is the Lamb of God.

And along with the fact that shepherds were the first to

witness his birth, he wasn't born in the castle of the King,

even though he is the King of Kings and the Prince of Peace.

He wasn't born to the Lord of a Manor, even though he is the

Lord of. Lords, He wasn't born into the

home of an owner of a vineyard. Even though he is the truth, I

he wasn't born into the home of a psychologist, even though he.

Is our counselor. He wasn't born the son of a

professor, even though he is our teacher.

He wasn't born into the home of a candle maker.

Even though he is the light of the world, he wasn't born.

The son of an astrologer. Even though he is.

The Bright and Morning Star. He wasn't born the.

Son of a zookeeper. Even though he is the lion of

the tribe of Judah. He wasn't born the son of a

wedding coordinator, even though he is the bridegroom and we are

the bride of Christ. He wasn't born the Baker's son,

even. Though he is the bread of.

Life, he wasn't born. Into a lawyer's home, even

though he is the law. And our advocate?

He wasn't born into the home of a judge.

Even though he is our righteous judge and mediator, he wasn't.

Born the. Son of an author, even though he

is the author and finisher of our faith, he.

Wasn't born the. Son of a fisherman, even though

many of his disciples were fishermen, that he later made

Fisher of men, he wasn't born the son of a priest, even though

he is our. High Priest.

He wasn't. Born into the home of a

mapmaker. Even though he is the way he

wasn't born the son of a scribe. Even though he is the word

tonight, he wasn't born the son of A.

Mason. Even though he is our rock.

He wasn't born. The stone Mason son.

Even though he's a chief cornerstone.

And the stone that the builders rejected, he wasn't.

Born in the home. Of a jeweler.

Even though the gates and walls of heaven.

Are made of precious jewels. He wasn't born the.

Son of the Goldsmith, even though the.

Streets of heaven. Are made of gold.

No, when the Almighty God of heaven and earth, the Creator of

the universe, when our Heavenly Father.

Decided to come to. Earth Rd. in flesh he could

have. Came to any of.

Those families, but he chose to be born in the family.

Of a Carpenter, he. Put on a tool.

Belt and a nail apron instead of royal robes and find jewelry.

Because the carpenter's Kingdom. It's not a flesh.

And bone or wealth, or earthly royalty.

And if you study it out, the carpenter's son created

everything. Paul Rice and Colossians one for

by him where all things create that are in heaven and in earth.

Visible. Invisible.

Whether they be Thrones or dominions, principalities or.

Powers. All things were created by him.

And for him and. He is before.

All things, and by him all. Things exist.

The writer of Hebrews would say it like this, for every house is

builded by some man, but he that built all things is God.

And not only did he create everything, but he's working on

us tonight, Paul writes in First Corinthians 3.

He said, For we are laborers together with God.

You are God's husbandry. You are God's building according

to the grace of God, which has given it to me as a wise master

builder. I have laid the foundation and

another builder thereon. But let every man take heed how

he buildeth. Thereupon for other foundation.

Can no man lay than that which is laid?

Which is Jesus Christ, Paul rights and Ephesians too.

Now, therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but

fellow citizens with the Saints and of the household of God.

And you're built upon the foundation of the apostles and

prophets. Jesus Christ himself being the

chief cornerstone in whom all the building fitly framed

together. I guess he was a framing

Carpenter fitly framed together groweth unto a holy temple in

the Lord in whom? You also are building.

Together for a habitation. Of God.

Through the spirit. Peter would add this.

He also has Lively. Stones.

Or build up a. Spiritual House.

A holy priesthood to OfferUp Sacre spiritual sacrifices

acceptable to God by Jesus Christ, I wonder.

Could we just praise? And magnify the carpenter's sons

of life. And in Matthew the 16th chapter,

Jesus and his disciples come to the coast of sensory of Villipa.

Jesus looks at his disciples and he asked him a question.

Who do men say that I am? One of them says well.

Some say you're John the Baptist, some say you're Elias,

Some say you're Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.

But then Jesus says, But who do you say?

That I am. Because he's not, really.

Concerned tonight? With what the world says, he is

the. World says he never existed.

The world says that he was just some prophet that's dead and

gone. The world says he's just a

figment of our imagination. The world.

Says he's just a. Reason.

That a fat man in a red suit comes down our chimney on

Christmas morning and brings us presents.

The world says he's just a reason for a Bunny.

To hop with a. Basket full of eggs, but he's

not concerned with what the world says.

He wants to know who will you say that he is tonight?

Because it's not about who they say he is.

It's about who we say that he is and who is the Carpenter's son

to you. I know him as my savior.

I know him as my healer. I know him as my deliver.

And Simon Peter said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the

living God. And Jesus said, Blessed art

thou, Simon Barjona, for flesh and blood had not revealed this,

but my Father, which is in heaven.

And I say unto thee, Thou art Peter, and upon this rock.

Upon this truth. Upon this revelation.

What's he going? To do he's the carpenters, he

said. I'll build my church, and not

only will I build it, but the gates of hell shall not prevail

against it. They'll try their best.

They'll come at us, they'll knock us down.

They'll bloody us, they'll bruise us.

But we're built on a firm foundation.

And hell, you could try your best, but the carpenter's son

has built us on his foundation and we will not be deceded.

The carpenter's son is preparing a place for us and John 14 Jesus

said, Let not your heart be troubled.

You believe in God, believe also in me.

In my father's house are many mansions.

If it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a

place for you. And if I go to prepare a place

for you, I will come again, and I will receive you into myself.

That where I am there you may be also now.

I don't know if you've ever thought of it or not, but

everything that we see, everything that we know, it only

took God six days to build. And it's pretty amazing.

The splendor of the Smoky Mountains, the grandeur of the

Grand Canyon, the majesty of the Rocky Mountains, all the lakes,

rivers, streams, the planets, the stars, the moon.

Six days and it blows. We can't even comprehend it.

So if it took him only. 6. Days to make all of this.

Imagine what 2000 years is going to bring.

If he did all this in six days. Imagine what the carpenter's son

can build with 2000 years. No wonder no eye has seen and no

ear has heard. We can't even fathom what he's

building. But he's going to prepare a

place. And I don't know if you can tell

by the news, but daily in town prophecies are being fulfilled.

He is coming back for his people.

He's preparing a place for you. Paul writes in Second Trident 5.

For we know that if our earthly House of this Tabernacle were

dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands

eternal in the heavens. He is our master builder.

Isaiah 4413 says this about the Carpenter, the Carpenter stretch

it out, his rule he market it out with a line, he fit it with

with planes. He marketh it out with a

compass. Then he says, and I say 41,

seven. So the Carpenter encouraged the

goatsmith and he that smoothes with the hammer that smote the

anvil, saying it is ready for the soldering.

And he fastened it with nails that it should not be moved.

So what does a Carpenter do? He measures the wood.

Then he saws the wood. Then he guides the plane and

sands the wood. Then he dries the nails and the

Carpenter creates something. And you know what?

The carpenter's son's doing the same thing tonight.

He's measuring us. He's not measuring me by the

world. He's measuring me by his word.

He's measuring me to. Find out what should.

Be and what shouldn't be. And what he doesn't need.

And what is not valuable he'll saw.

It off. He'll cut away some.

Things that don't belong. He'll trim away some edges that

are going to keep me from. Becoming who he wants me to be.

But if I'm willing to be built by the carpenter's son, I have

to say, God measure me, God cut away.

It might be painful, but cut off some relationships.

Cut off some phone apps. Cut off some friendships.

Cut off some. Things that I don't need in this

world. And then the carpenter's son has

to sand the rough edges on us. We don't like it.

It can be painful. But if we're going to be what he

wants us to become, if we're going to be willing to be built

by the carpenter's son, he has to measure.

He has to cut and he has to sand the rough edges because I don't

want to be abrasive to this world.

I don't want to be abrasive. When I'm out there witnessing

God, get rid of the rough edges, get rid of the things that don't

belong. And then the carpenter's.

Son drives the nails. Not to hurt me, but to make

sure. Then I'm stable.

God, I don't want to be movable. I don't want to.

Be blown about with every wind of doctrine and if it takes the.

Nails God. I want to be a sure foundation.

I want to. Be a.

Bedrock I want to be a pillar. I want to be somebody that

pastor can look too and say I know they're going to be there.

I know they're going to be. Faithful.

I know they're. Going to give their ties and

offerings. I know they're going to worship.

I know they're going to be there every time the doors are open.

God, drive the nails deep and make sure that I am stabled.

And then the carpenter's son is creating something in us and out

of us. The old song I Ain't Got the

Voice to sing it tonight. The old song I learned many

years in Sunday school. He's still working on me.

You. You might not like what you see,

but he's still working on me. I may not be what you think I

should be, but don't give up just yet.

He's still working on me. He's making me what I ought to

be. It just took him a week to make

the moon and the stars. The Sun and the Earth.

Jupiter and Mars. How loving, patient he must be,

cause the carpenter's son is still working on me and he's

still working on you. We're not a finished product

just yet, but if we'll hold on, he's still working, He's still

moving, he's still building, he's still creating and we're

going to come out becoming who he wants us to be.

A Carpenter. You know what?

I don't know if anybody in here is a Carpenter.

If you are, and if you got a voice, maybe you ought to be

preaching this. But I'm not a Carpenter.

But I've tried and I've spent time with some.

But you know one thing I know about a Carpenter?

A Carpenter. It can take what seems to be

nothing and make something out of it.

When we were building our house a few years ago, it was just a

field one day, then it was dirt the other day, then it was

blocked one day, then it was concrete one day, and then

another few days. They had it framed, had the

siding and the roof on it, and it started out as just nothing,

just a pile of sticks. The.

Carpenter has a unique. Ability to take what?

Seems to be. Nothing and make something out

of. It and the carpenter's son has

that same ability. He's been doing it since the

beginning of time, when he reached down into the nothing,

the dust of the earth. Any created man, when he spoke

into the void and the darkness and began creating, he can make

something out of nothing. And if you came here and you

feel like nothing and you feel like you have nothing to offer,

you're in the right place. Because the carpenter's son did

take your nothing and make something out of.

It you know what else a Carpenter can do.

I've seen it many times in the town I live in.

I'll drive by this old dilapidated house, Bishop.

The yard looks like it's grown up, about up to my eyes.

Shingles are missing, windows are busted out, front doors

kicked in. I'm just thinking, man, I wish

the city would bulldoze that thing to the ground, but all of

a sudden? A for sale sign goes up and then

they slap a sold sign on it and within just a matter of weeks,

that old dilapidated house. Somebody comes in, they.

Put a new roof. On it.

They put new Windows and a new door.

They mow the yard. They paint it, they read through

the inside, and now it's a beautiful home that once was

nothing. But a dilapidated mess.

And you know what? The carpenter's son can do the

same thing. Life may have let you roar down

and lure out. You may be had.

Come here tonight and you may feel like I don't have anything

off to offer God that life has used me and abused me.

But let me introduce you to the carpenter's son.

The one who can make beauty out of ashes.

The one that can take nothing and make something.

You know what else a Carpenter can do?

He can take what's broken and fix it, and so can the Carpenter

sign. Cuz the song said he healeth the

broken and heart and he bindeth up their wounds.

If you came here broken hearted, if you came here with a broken

marriage, if you came here with your mind, destroyed your heart,

your. Life destroyed, you've come.

To the right place. The carpenter's son can fix what

is. Broken in this house?

You know something else I learned about carpenters?

It's ain't even in my notes, but they're rarely ever.

On time. But in their mind, they're never

late. And so is the Carpenter sign.

He may not be on time like we think he should be.

Just ask Mary and Martha. If you'd have just been here

four days ago, our brother wouldn't have died.

But they didn't realize that the carpenter's.

Son was building something. He didn't come to heal him.

He came to raise him from the dead.

And he may seem late to you tonight, but the carpenter's son

is going to show up right on time.

He's going to show up and he's going to work.

Maybe not on your time, maybe not on my time, but right on his

time. So the carpenter's son.

He's building, he's creating and he's fixing.

Something tonight? And I draw your attention.

I'm almost done, John. The 19th chapter, verse #30,

when Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said it

is finished. So I guess he was a finished

Carpenter too, And he bowed his head and he gave up the ghost

now. Can you imagine being at the

cross that day? Ken weren't there.

One was dead, the other was there with Mary.

Can you imagine hearing the man that you just gave three years

of your life to say it is finished and then he bows his

head and dies. Those around him.

Thought it was over those. Around him thought.

That was the end. Of the carpenter's son.

But he wasn't finished. But the carpenter's son was

merely saying I'm finished building a bridge.

I'm finished building Mercy's Bridge that will span across

this last 6000 years. And 2000 years into the.

Future because he. Used two pieces of wood and

three nails and he built an eternal bridge that you and I

don't have to be separated, that we don't have to go to the high

priest. In the Holy of Holies anymore.

But now we have direct access to His throne, and we have direct

access to His mercy. I'm thankful that it is

finished. I'm thankful that He built a

bridge. I'm thankful that He paid the

price. I'm thankful that He buy up all

my sins and pay the price I can never pay.

And then I can. Never replay Christ.

Christ was a Carpenter, and a rare Carpenter too, for he made

a ladder that reaches all the way from earth to heaven, and up

that ladder souls are continually ascending to the

palace which he has gone to prepare for now.

So tonight, as we stand, the carpenter's son is calling

tonight. Will you answer the call of the

Carpenter tonight? And I close with this Psalms 127

one, except the Lord, except the carpenter's son, except the Lord

build the house. They labor in vain that built

it. So let me tell you tonight in.

Closing as every head is about, every eye is closed.

If you're. Building your Life by.

Yourself. It is in vain, and it will fail

if you're. Building your marriage.

By yourself. It is in.

Vain and it will fail. If you're building your family

by yourself. It is in vain.

And it will fail. If you're building your.

Finances by yourself. It is in vain.

And it will fail. If you're building your future

by yourself. It is in.

Vain and it will fail because. Unless you're letting the

carpenter's son build. The house you're laboring in

vain tonight. You know a lot.

Of times when I. Preach.

I like to make May, May believe that this alters a certain

thing. You know, if I'm preaching about

the Potter's house, this alters the Potter's will.

But tonight I'm preaching about the carpenters.

And you know what? I just want to believe tonight?

That this alter area is the carpenter's workbench and he's

just wanting you to bring your life, Bring the pieces.

Bring the brokenness, bring the hurt, bring the frustration,

Bring the addiction. Bring the sin, bring the.

Heartache. Whatever it is, bring it to the

carpenter's. Son and say here.

God. I don't have much to give.

I don't. Have much to offer, but the

preacher said you can. Build out of.

Nothing and I'll give. You what I do have?

And I'll let the carpenter's son begin to work and begin to make

and begin to. Create and begin to.

Fix what is broken in my life. So I wonder.

Tonight, is there anybody that would like to come in contact

with the carpenter's son? Come on.

Whatever. Your need is tonight.

Would you bring it? To an altar.

Whatever your problem is tonight, would you bring it to

an altar? Jesus, we need you.

Come on, he's. Got his nail?

Apron on. He's got his.

Stool. Belt on.

He's came on this Sunday night. To work on somebody.

He's got his hammer out, he's got his nails, he's got his

soul, he's got his Sander. He's working, he's moving, he's

making miracles. He's making families.

He's making marriages. He's fixing heartache.

He's fixing minds. He's fixing troubled.

Hearts tonight, come on, answer the carpenter's call.

Tonight, the carpenter's son is here.

Come on, let him work. He'll work.

Boo, let him. You got to let him work.

Here it is God, take my nothing and make.

Something take the brokenness. And begin to fix it and mend it.

Tonight God, give me beauty for ashes.

Bind, bind the broken. Hearted tonight.

Heal, fix. Work.

Create. In the name of Jesus.

Come on, give him all the pieces tonight.

Give him all the pieces, Give him all.

The brokenness. Give him all the hurt.

Give him all the pain. Give him all the frustration and

see what he can do. The doctor couldn't fix it.

The medicine couldn't fix it. The judge, the lawyer.

The politician? They couldn't.

Fix it, but the carpenter's son can do the work.
