The Paradox of the Fall | Pastor Paul McGee

Someone say thank you Lord, it is Pentecost Sunday.

Suddenly there was a sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind

filled all the house where they were sitting, peered unto them

cloven tongues like it's fire set up on each of them, and they

were all filled with the Holy Ghost and begin to speak in

other tongues. As the Spirit gave the

utterance. I felt a little bit of that

wind, a man blowing here just a little while ago.

I'm thankful that it hasn't quit blowing.

It has blown. Since the Spirit of the Lord

hovered over the face of the deep in Genesis, and it's blown

in the valley of dry bones that Ezekiel saw, it blew up on the

day of Pentecost and it has not quit blowing yet today, Amen.

We're thankful for Pentecost today.

Amen. This morning, if you'll stand

with me, we'll turn to Psalms 145.

And really folks, thank yous are in order today.

This has been an eventful month in many respects.

Again, I was telling leadership before church this month that we

have, we have blitzed our public school system, all of our

schools. We did breakfast for them on the

Teacher Appreciation Week just this past Monday.

We fed the firefighters in our community for International

Firefighters Day. We did our mobile food

distribution on Friday. I don't know how many, Sister

Jen, how many households, 323 people, households and stuff

that was impacted, Amen by that on Friday.

Amen. And so God is good, Amen.

That's wonderful to be able to be a blessing to your community,

a man and and return something to them.

And so I want to say thank you. I know my wife took food to the

school. Sister Grace, she works in one

too. And I don't work at a school,

but I went to one a man. And so I went to a school and

with that endeavor and Sister Angie Cruz put together the the

the firefighter appreciation. I know Sister Sheila, I believe

in Sister Grace helped in that endeavor bringing it Amen.

Want to thank them Amen as well. And there's so many different

hands here. Friday we were setting up tables

and canopies and didn't it look like rain and we didn't want wet

cardboard boxes and it just I did.

We got more than what we really expected as far as pallets that

was out there. And and so there were people

here. Brother Kevin Adams was here.

He was work. He his boss let him have the day

off and he said it felt more like work said it felt more like

work than having a day off. But we appreciate, Amen, all of

the help in the many hands Psalms.

Oh yeah. And, and also in this month, we

paid around $1000 of fees for five high school students so

that they could walk across the stage for graduation as well.

Amen. And so just another year.

Sometimes you don't know that your hands reaching out around

here. And that's the reason why I say

it, to let you know when it does take place that you might not be

Privy to. Psalms 145, Psalms 145.

And I know it's Pentecostal Sunday today, but I'm

Pentecostal. So I believe any message I

preach is Pentecostal oriented. All right.

And so I'm going to start with verse number one.

I thought about maybe just reading the one verse that I

wanted, verse 14, but I want to give you context for where this

falls here today. So I'm going to read 14 verses.

It is the Psalm. So they go very quickly and I

can read quick if you can listen quick.

All right, but nonetheless, David says in Psalms 145, I will

extol thee, my God, O King, and I will bless thy name forever

and ever. Every day will I bless thee, and

I will praise thy name forever and ever.

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is

unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy

works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts.

I will speak of the glorious honor of thy majesty and of thy

wondrous works, and men shall speak of thy might, of thy

terrible acts, and I will declare thy greatness.

They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness,

and shall sing of Thy righteousness.

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger, and

of great mercy. The Lord is good to all, and his

tender mercies are over all his works.

All Thy works shall praise Thee, O Lord, and Thy Saints shall

bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of

Thy Kingdom, and talk of Thy power to make known to the sons

of men His mighty acts and the glorious majesty of His Kingdom.

Thy Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and Thy dominion endure

throughout all generations. The Lord upholdeth all that fall

and riseth up all those that be bowed down.

That's kind of my key verse today.

The last verse, the Lord upholdeth all that fall and

riseth up, raiseth up all that all those that be bowed down.

This morning, just for a little bit, I want to talk about the

paradox of the fall. The paradox of the fall.

Hallelujah. Let's pray today, Father.

We're thankful again, Lord, for those that have gathered

together, Lord, on this day, Lord, to worship, to praise, to

give of themselves, Lord God of their time and their attention.

Lord Jesus, to you to home. Lord Jesus, that relationship,

Lord, that they have or perhaps the Lord to begin 1 Lord, that

they never had, I pray, O Lord, today touch our minds and our

hearts are fresh. Lord today, God, as we look one

more time, God into your word, these are the words that speak

of you in the lovely name of Jesus Christ that I pray Amen

and Amen. Everybody say Amen.

You may be seated this morning in Jesus name.

Likewise, we're so thankful for all the folks.

This has been surgery week. We've had a surgery every day

this week, but Thursday around here at the church.

And so we're so thankful that God has seen each and one of

them that has went through surgery through and have been

with them, the hand upon them. And we're grateful today for

that. This year, as this church

family, many of you know, each year I try to read a different

version or translation of the Bible through in that calendar

year. And so this year I'm reading a

chronological home and Christian standard Bible this year.

And so much of what then whenever I come to preach or

teach inspiration has come per southeast from that particular

translation and what I have read.

And so the inspiration for this really comes from that Bible

that I was reading whenever I came across Psalms 145 in its

translation. It has a certain portion of this

verse phrased like this. It says the Lord helps all who

fall. And so that phrase is really

couched here within a Psalm that is known to be a Psalm of

praise, the superscript that's above the Psalms or the titles

that are above the Psalms. There's a lot of arguments out

there about whether or not they are inspired because within the

Hebrew language, in Hebrew Bibles, the text is included.

It's not distinguished as apart from the inspired, what we would

say was the inspired part of the text.

But this Psalm, Psalm 145, is the only of two psalms.

In all of the 100. And 50 psalms.

That is labeled as a. Psalm of Praise.

I double checked that just last night and I went through each

chapter one by one and read all the headings just to make sure,

but it is one of only two that's denoted the.

Psalm of praise and notably. It is described as David's Psalm

of praise. It begins.

And you can look down. Through there with me it.

Though it begins with David. Saying I will extol the in verse

#1 When you reach the finality of the last verse of this

chapter, there has been a host of people, or might I say all.

People that. Have gathered together in this.

Praise course as it says, Let. All flesh bless his holy name.

In other words, what started as a solitary man acknowledging

through the text God's graciousness, God's greatness,

God's glory, God's goodness, now toward the end just kind of

crescendos, if you will, with the last verse encompassing all

participating in this praise and adoration.

Verse two tells us that. One man, he blessed God day by

day, but. As the scenario goes, it amps up

to verse. #4 to where? One generation praises.

God's works to. Another generation declaring his

mighty acts, we. Come to verse #10 and the

circle. Gets broader and says that the

Saints bless him and. Make known then to the.

Sons of men or. Just ordinary common man about

the good things and. Precious things of God.

This is something that gets larger and the circles get

larger. It's just David a lone.

Warrior of God, and before you know it, the Saints are

declaring it, and then they're declaring it just to ordinary.

Man, people that are not necessarily.

In covenant with God, the Saints have made God's mighty acts

known, Amen, which which no doubt impart effects and

impacts. This collective voice at the

end, that's blessing God's. Name in the last verse.

So what started out as just a very low vibration if you will,

of 1 voice turns? Into a roar, inescapable roar at

of the people at the. Very last verse.

And when you come to. Verse #14 There is a a switch

that has been flipped. The the all ALL switch.

Has been flipped in verse #14 From that verse forward, it

seems like there's a focus on this word all it begins with

again in verse 14. The Lord upholdeth, or if you

will, helps. All that fall, but.

Consider some of these other verses.

Again in verse 14 it says. He raises up all those that.

He bowed down. Verse 15.

Says the eyes of all. Wait upon him 16.

He satisfies the desire of every living.

Thing. Or all living things he.

Verse. 18 He is 9 to all that call.

Upon him, verse 20, he preserves.

All that love him. And so verse 14 starts this this

pattern of the all idea of. All waiting all.

Desiring those that are nigh. To him.

All. Amen, that call.

Upon him he'll preserve all. Verse 14 illustrates to us.

That he'll help all that fall. He'll raise up.

All those that are bowed. Down it addresses if you willed

the universality of man's weakness, whether he be a Jew,

whether he be a Gentile, whether it be he be a Samaritan.

The verse over and over again does not just refer.

To his covenant. People alone, but to the sons of

men. All of humanity.

God's actions. Described here are the

description of God's general kindness toward mankind and

toward creation. Because we all, everybody say

all. We all have this propensity to

fall. We all.

Have this inkling if you. Will this proclivity if you will

to be overwhelmed by. Circumstances.

And become bowed down. I know this morning, you know,

whether we want to admit it or not, but all humans regardless

our background. Regardless our status,

regardless our beliefs, regardless whatever it may.

Be we all encounter difficulties.

In this life. We make mistakes.

We face overwhelming challenges. Amen.

At some. Point.

This is the condition of humanity.

This is the condition of man. It's not just stated in the

Bibles. That stated, even in our classic

literature that is written, you read, if you will, anything most

things that you would want to read even concerning William

Shakespeare, and you're going to understand that he often depicts

characters who are facing profound struggles and some type

of moral dilemmas. And what he is doing is

exploring the. Depths of human.

Amen. Fallibility Our.

Mess ups our, pitfalls our. Times of struggle and we read

those type of things or. Visit those types of.

Plays that he is pinned and as a.

Human, I can say I. Identify with that.

I know what it's like to fail. I know what it's like to be

burdened down with. Circumstances even in the area.

Of developmental psychology, they indicate that every.

Individual faces some types of normative challenges in crisis.

Once again, just reinforcing. That falling and being

overwhelmed. Are a part of the.

Human condition, the lives that we each.

Live in Genesis chapter number. Three, the Bible says that the

fall of. Adam and Eve suggests clearly to

us. That all humanity is inherently.

Flawed. We're flawed.

We're. Prone to sin.

That fall in the very beginning. It.

Illustrates the fundamental brokenness and burden a man into

this human existence that you and I share.

Not only were we impacted by the initial fall in the garden, but

we also the new. Testament writer says we also.

Fall short of the glory of God and can I say OFT times that

happens daily. All who fall refer to

individuals. Who have?

Failed and made mistakes and. Experienced hardships all.

Who are bowed down are. Oppressed.

And burdened by life's physical problems and emotional

challenges, Job said in his book Man is born of a woman of a few

days and full of trouble, Solomon said.

All his days are sorrows. His heart taketh not rest, even

in the night, Isaiah said. Even the youth shall faint and

be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.

It is not today, it is not today if you fall, it's when you fall.

This is the certainty of the human condition, young and old

alike. I've come to rise on this Sunday

morning. That although.

This may be true. We can be assured that God will

help us when we fall. It was God that prepared a spot

at the King's table for a fallen and lame Mephibosheth.

It was God that offered forgiveness to a very troubled

and fallen David. It was God that instilled into

the prophet Micah a mentality that said When I fall, I shall

arise. He raised God raised a seemingly

dead uticus that suffered from a third story fall.

He placed a sunken Apostle Peter back on the surface of the water

so he could get back to the bow. Haggard specializes in the fall.

Someone say Amen. And I'm not going to.

I'm not going to. Any qualms here today?

Having fallen is not an. Excuse because we've.

Not been left without help, God upholdeth or supports and helps

all that fall. There is no criterion here.

In the scripture it's not. It's not stated that God helps

those who fail that were pushed or put there.

There's no criterion here. It doesn't matter whether your

fault was your fault, whether your fault was someone else's

fault, whether your fault. Was just power for the course

of. Being part of the fabric of

humanity, God made his plea to 1:00 and all whether it's your

fault, somebody else's fault, an institution's fault, God helps

all who fault he opposed us. Is the verbage in.

Scripture. He opposed us.

My wife sheets I've said this enough times that she grabs it

all the. Time the ETH on the end of a

word. Particularly in the King James.

Usually denotes in the Hebrew that it is a word that is an

action that happens but. Continues to happen.

The ETH denotes a continuation. So when we talk about God.

Upholds, Amen. All who fall.

It's not that he does it in the moment.

But he upholds and he. Keeps upholding.

He supports and he keeps supporting.

He helps and he keeps helping. Ladies and gentlemen, I got.

Good news for you. If a Sparrow cannot fall to the

ground without God noticing, He's there for your fault as

well. It is the master plan of the

Bible. Genesis, major ordeal in the

beginning is called what we often call the Fall and the rest

of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation for that matter.

The rest of Scripture is the unfolding of God's help with and

for humanity's fall until it describes in the New Testament

Scripture of those that have been receptive to his help.

He then describes like this, Paul said in the epistle that

God has raised us up together and made us to sit in heavenly

places in what is that? What's going on?

God's help somebody that's failed.

God's helped all who He's going to raise us up and He's seating

us in a place that's higher than when we were at before We fail.

Someone say Amen. If I can say it like this today,

and I'm not asking anybody to go there, but I'm just wanting the

comfort of knowing this. Each of us is one fall away from

hell, but as in the literal life that we live, many of us will

not accept health if we don't think we need help.

Sometimes it takes a complete fall for us to depend on or be.

Open to aid. Because let's get falls are

embarrassing. It's been, it's been I don't

know how. Maybe a couple years ago now, I,

I had a pattern of of running about 2 1/2 miles in the morning

that I got foot problems couldn't run anymore.

So I'll walk, but when I could still run.

And I, there's a part of my run that always happens right along

3rd St. which is, you know, in this metropolis of Mount Carmel

can sometimes be quite busy. I mean, you got you got the

Roach church up there. You got.

You got, you know. Cactus cuisine and ice cream,

you know, and stuff. And so it could be quite busy.

And so, man, I'm up there to, I'm a, I'm a running and I, I

listen, I, I could click off some stuff that went back

whenever I, I ran, but, and so I was running.

And if anybody's ever. Walked the sidewalk of 3rd St.

It's up, down. Pieces jutted up.

I mean you. Got to you got.

To have an awareness of where your feet are going.

So I'm running, man. I've done this 1000 times.

It's I'm just cooking alone, Christy.

I'm I kind of. Looking around a little bit.

First mistake and I'm just cooking alone and I'm telling

you in a nanosecond. I mean, I it was like it

happened. I didn't know it.

Happened till after it happened. I mean, I just.

Boom, right down on the ground, son.

I get up. What do you do?

You. Get up as quick as.

Possible you try to look. Around you're like.

I got right because falls are embarrassing.

Some are fatal. I yeah, I mean, there are

vehicles going by that morning and I'm like.

I hope they're just so in tune with what's in front.

Of them or maybe? Distracted by their phone.

I'm sorry, Jesus, that they didn't see me fall, so I was

surveying the area. I'm going forward.

You know how, especially when you're with a crowd and

something like that happens, you're masking any pain that you

might be experiencing? We were telling everybody.

I'm fine. I'm OK.

It's OK when we're not. It's like if someone came to me

right now, I probably. Said yeah, it's great and.

I'm like, huh? I mean my Penrod.

He had a fall that. Changed his life, almost took

his arm. Nothing on the surface seemed

wrong after his fall, but internally something happened.

What I'm telling us today is God's there to help with our

false, known and unknown aftermaths.

Are known and unknown after Mass and we just need to let God in

and. Help.

Us, we don't have to put on I'm strong front.

Listen, we're part of the human. Condition.

What is Reece going to look? Over at me and say he failed

probably that's. Probably what he's going to do.

But none the less, he can't say he's never tripped.

There's probably most of us. Can't say we never lost balance

or never fell on our face too. That happens in the literal, but

in even a spiritual, the human condition is.

That is what we're prone to. So I don't have nothing to hide

today because you've probably had your face planted on the

ground too. You probably had some difficulty

that overwhelmed and burdened and dismayed that weighed you

down to the psalmist said in Psalm 103, David said for he

knoweth our frame. He remembered that we are just

God knows who you are. God knows your makeup.

God knows what you're prone to. God knows the air of you just

being a human and what you have a downfall for God knows that.

But the Bible tells us likewise that that same God is drawn to

that type of weakness. He's drawn to the broken, He's

drawn to the contrite. David said he cannot despise the

broken, He cannot despise the contrite.

Scripture says his strength is made perfect or made complete.

And weakness God can restore many times again put us in in

positions that we would have never been before had it not.

Been. For the fall.

But we got to surrender to his help.

I love, I love to read, you know that.

I love to read about. Mountain climbing might not be

here Forte, but I'd love to read about people climbing Everest or

some of the 10 highest peaks of the world or seven.

Love that with most climbing routes for my mountain climbers

there is what's known as as a leader and he is ahead of the

pack and he goes up before anybody else and he may be

placing boats, anchorage boats in the the rocks or the sheer

face for others that are coming up and climbing behind him.

However, every leader or anybody for that matter that is a

climber needs a good belayer. The belayer is the person that's

below the climber. The belayer controls.

The amount of. Slack in the rope attached to

the climber as he either ascends or descends too much.

Slack could lead to a longer. Fall if he loses his.

Grasp. On the side of the.

Mountain, but too little rope could.

Impede his movement upward. The tension the blayer maintains

on the rope assist the climber. Assist him with his balance and

with his stability. By the amount of tension the

belayer puts on the rope, it allows the climber to traverse

over some of what might be considered the most challenging

sections of the climb. Because the right amount of

tension is put on the rope by the belayer there has.

To be constant communication. Listen to me well.

There has to be. Constant communication between

the belayer and the climber it's essential how they.

Can they need to converse back and forth so that they can

coordinate movements and and make each?

Aware of what their actions are and their status is it's.

Important to have a belayer the. Belayer must pay continuous

attention. To the climbers movement and be

ready to act immediately. If he needs.

To lock off the rope to stop a fall, as it is said.

In the book that I read, it said for the.

Belayer catching the leaders. Fall is routine because belayers

help all leaders who fall. The belayer is an indispensable

part of the climbing team. And can I tell you this morning?

That God serves that purpose. In our lives and as long as I

know someone has tension on the rope and as long as I know

someone's. Feeding me enough to make

further heights. Or taking up the slack.

So that I don't fall too far, or knowing that if I do mishandle

or miss grab and I do fall, he's going to lock it in place to

keep me from dying. Then his presence alone.

The presence of the belayer them puts a little.

Bit of confidence in my. Mind and my step telling me

maybe I can tackle some more challenging areas and make

bolder moves because I have a belayer.

Let me tell some folks today. You're going to do some.

Great things for God. But it will be in the.

Process of. Trying and attempting to do

that, you'll come to the realization of you cannot just

hope for it, go after it, but you have confidence that you're

not at this journey alone. You have a blayer with the right

tension that's watching not if, but when you fall.

Now, I've said all of this this morning.

Just to get here said all of this, to get to the namesake of

thy sermon, to the paradox of the fall.

If you'll back back up to verses 6 and seven, I want to read them

one more time in your hearing, The Bible says, And men shall

speak of thy might, of thy terrible, or thy revered and

respected acts, and I will declare thy greatness.

They shall, men shall, they shall.

Abundantly utter. The memory of the great goodness

and shall sing of thy righteousness.

Everybody got thinking kept. Will you allow me to get just

technical here for a moment? All right, just ride the horse

with me. The Hebrew word translated as

the phrase the memory. This is the technical stuff.

Just hold with me is a Hebrew noun in what's called the common

masculine singular construct form that's.

Technical, Brad. McGee, that don't mean anything.

It don't mean much to me either until I begin to look up what

these things are. When we consider that this is

singular, Brother Mason, it says in this form in what's called a

parsing, that singular indicates that the singular form of a term

refers to a single item or a collection of items, all of the

same kind. So for our purposes this

morning, the memory could represent a collection of

recalled events. That demonstrated God's great

goodness or. It could be a single, solitary

event. With that in mind, today I want

us to remember. That.

A fall happened before the. Fall.

Happened in Genesis. It is my personal belief this

the memory. That goodness of the memory.

I believe that men abundantly uttered.

Over and over and over. Again that they declared

repeatedly this the memory, I believe that men.

Were singing that was accompanied with singing the.

Bible says they were singing of God's God's righteousness, which

was then as though it was an. Illustration of God's justice.

Of what was right the memory. Paradox is created by.

The memory and then the fact that the Lord helps all who?

Fall, stay with me. Of course, when I'm Speaking of

the memory, the solitary thing, I am referring to Lucifer's

fall. It is depicted in Scripture.

As a fall so tragic. The severity of Lucifer's

mistaken attitude so severe. That it's depicted.

In scripture happening. According to God's word, prior

to the fall of Adam and. Eve as a fall, Isaiah 14 and 12

says. How art thou fallen?

From heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning, how art thou cut?

Down to the ground Which? Didst weaken the nation's his

actions were so. Vile, the Lord who helps all who

fall left. Him to his consequence.

And even initiated the fall because revelation.

Tells us we'll read the verses that God cast him out.

He was cast. Out from heaven.

Revelation 12 and verse 9. And the Great Dragon was cast

out. This is a reflection.

Backward that old serpent called the Devil.

And Satan, which deceiveth the whole.

World he was. Cast out into the earth.

His angels were cast out with him, and I heard.

A loud voice saying In heaven now has come salvation and

strength and the Kingdom of our God the.

Power of his Christ for the accuser of.

Our brethren is test down which accused them before our God day

and. Night.

Do you understand the paradox then here in Scripture?

That God is willing. That God is eager, that God is

desirous to help and to support all who fall.

Do you understand how that must be the twisting of the sword in

the? Side of our adversary do.

You understand how that must be a little adding insult to injury

concerning your enemy because God's able to help and wants to

help you with your fall, but he leaves him to his demise.

He leaves him to his future. He leaves him to his dismay, he

leaves him to his heir. From Genesis forward, Satan then

has attempted to cause men, humanity, men and women to fall.

He wants them to trip up. He wants them to form their He

wants them to fumble. He wants them to blunder.

He wants them to join him in his dissent.

We not even seen the New Testament.

Scripture. When Jesus had his days right?

Right before his. Public ministry began 40 days

and nights, he fasted. In the wilderness.

And he hungered. And Satan came to Tim.

Tim. And one of the temptations that

Satan came to Jesus with was this.

He took him to the height of the pinnacle of.

The temple. And he said cast yourself down,

Cast yourself what you say. He said, I want you to fall.

Cast yourself down from here. And while God.

Refuses in this day. To help Satan, Amen.

With a fall that even God initiated here.

He though will help you and me with the falls that we have in

our life. God casts Satan down, but he

desires to raise you up. God, that's Satan down, but he

desires to elevate you. Don't you think that gets under

the skin of your adversary? God is so.

Bent on this whole aspect that someday in the future the devil

the scripture says will be bound. 1000 years, no Revelation

20. And again, I want to read it.

I don't want. This to go bias and verse one.

This is something that. Shall take place something that

will happen, John. Said and I saw an Angel who come

down from. Heaven having the key.

Of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand and.

He laid a hold on that dragon, that old serpent, which is the

devil and Satan compound. Him. 1000 years verse three and

cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal.

Upon him Watch me now. So there's a day in the future.

God still has a plan for the Satan who fell from heaven to

earth. There's.

Going to come a day, one Angel with one chain is going to bind

one devil, and he's going to open up a bottomless pit.

Listen to me. A pit that is bottomless is a

pit without a bottom. That means when the devil is

cast. Into such a pit.

It will be a perpetual fall for 1000 years.

It will be a has no bottom. It'll be a perpetual fall for

1000 years. What are you doing, Jesus?

I'm just turning the sword of the paradox of the fall.

He's going to be fallen for 1000 years and he's going to have to

remember while he falls, all those I helped that did fall,

all those that I saved that did fall, all those.

Someone say Hallelujah, he's going to remember everybody else

that was afforded the help. But he didn't and he's fallen

for a perpetual 1000 years. Oh yes, Oh brother, no.

The devil knows the word he used.

It in the garden. He used it with Jesus.

He twisted. Listen the only way.

You can twist something, you got to know it.

Good enough in order to be able to do that.

You you can't twist something that you're not familiar.

With what is genuine or true to begin with, not to know it.

In order to manipulate it, he knows the word with.

That this is just me, Brother Reese.

But I can only imagine in those thousand years of perpetually

falling, that he begins to remember some verses like,

though he may fall, thinking of mankind, he shall not be utterly

cast down. For the Lord upholdeth him with

his hand. I will uphold thee with the

his own fault through pride and rebellion, he receives no aid he

Recourse. This stark difference, then,

underscores God's mercy and God's grace toward.

Us. So Satan is left to his fate,

but you and I. We're offered the hopes of

redemption. We're offered the hopes of grace

highlighting then in that moment.

God's. Profound love for all man kind.

Who were made a little. Lower than the angels.

What are you saying then this morning with McGee?

I'm saying this on this Pentecost Sunday as we depart

from this place. I think we should leave living

with confidence. That.

No matter how many times we fall, I have this promise.

God helps or upholds all that do.

I think I need to leave this place this morning embracing the

paradox. Of the fall, knowing that while

Satan's fall is irreversible. Our faults, nothing more, but

opportunities for God's redemption, God's restoration.

So this morning, if we can just bow our heads today, I implore

you today to trust in the Lord who helps all who fall and raise

up all those who are bowed down. It's a song of praise.

It is the memory of Satan's fall that's abundantly uttered that

everybody recognizes. And know that brings, if you

will, a greater light to the fact that God is helping us in

our failures, and God is helping us when we're overwhelmed by

dismay and we're overwhelmed by challenge and conflict.

It's the paradox of the fall. God is eager.

This morning, if you're sitting under the sound of my voice,

maybe you've experienced with being with your head bowed down.

Maybe if you've experienced a fall, so to speak, Amen.

Whether it's been recent or whether it's been long ago, God

upholdeth all that fall. That's your word of

encouragement today. That's your word of

encouragement today. He'll help you, Sir, ma'am,

He'll help you. Doesn't matter.

Old or young. Again, Isaiah said.

Even the youth faint doesn't matter.

It's not about our strength that say, well, this this, this

little, this little thing right here, this is this.

This is a little pinpoint or a little clue that they're not

gonna have that. No, you're part of the fabric of

humanity. You're gonna fall sometimes.

You're gonna make mistakes. You're gonna get up and gonna

brush yourself off and you're gonna hope that no one has seen

no one. No one has has been aware of any

of it. There may be a little sense of

embarrassment. But when the crowd has thinned

out. And it seems like no one is

there to help you up. There'll always be God.

There'll always be God. The woman even inscription New

Testament Bible says caught in the very act of adultery.

She has all these people that's going to accuse her.

And Christ says, well, he that is without sin, you cast the

first stone and from the the youngest to the oldest and Otis

to the youngest, they begin dropping stones and backing up.

And she arises and he says, where are your where are your

your condemners? Where are these people that

accused you? And she said no, Lord.

The the the crowd got really, really.

Thin but standing. There wasn't someone.

A man who was eager to cast a stone.

He was just wanting to write in some dust and send her on her

way with redemption and restoration.

Because he helps all that fall. Listen, he's not changed from

Genesis. He's not changed through First

Samuel, the kings with all of these different dynamics of

kingships that rose and fell. He's not different with the

Apostle Peter that denied him. He told him I have prayed for

you and when when you are strengthened, he said you're

going to you're going to be a conversion tool for your

brethren. What are you doing, Lord, on

Pentecost? I want you to speak what's

necessary for salvation. How in the world?

Apostle Peter, can you go from denial to preacher at the birth

of the church because God helped a man who fail?

Sorry ma'am, he knows you. He knows what you're dealing

with. He knows with the bout over head

and the slumped over shoulders. He wants to raise you up, make

you to sit together in heavenly praises with Christ Jesus.

He's causing your adversary to endure a perpetual Amen, a fall

and someday a perpetual fall for 1000 years, but he's wanting to

lift you up today. Would someone make themselves

vulnerable and say, God, I surrender, here I am, Lord, lift

me up. God, I'm walking, but I'm still

dealing with pain of a fall. God, I'm walking, but I'm still

dealing with some of the agony and some of the accusing voices

of my head. Lord Jesus of being.

Bowed over. God wants to help all who fall.
