Welcome to the First Apostolic Church podcast.
-
Our church mission is to love as God loves showing compassion
-
every soul, thus winning those souls and equipping them to be
-
sent out to plant and to harvest.
-
Thank you for joining us today, and we hope that you are blessed
-
by today's podcast. Praise the Lord everybody.
-
Amen. Good to be in the House of the
-
Lord this morning and maybe hopefully today without rain.
-
Amen. It's been a week of rain and but
-
that's all right. God knows best, don't he.
-
Hallelujah. Good to see Pastor and family
-
back. I did them back with us this
-
morning. Amen.
-
Sigh of relief and thankful they're back.
-
You man, Glad all of you came this morning.
-
I want to turn to Saint John chapter #11 thank you, Jesus.
-
I'll just admit to you that this has been a while coming.
-
It's in fact it's been about over two years.
-
And so this morning we're we're going to get into this a little
-
bit. John.
-
Levin, I want to. Read this 2 verses and you can
-
be seated 43 and 40. Four and when he.
-
Had thus had spoken. He cried with a loud voice.
-
Lazarus, come forth. And he that was.
-
Dead came forth. Bound hand and foot.
-
With grave clothes and his face was bound about with a.
-
Napkin and Jesus said unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
-
Heavenly Father, I thank you, Lord, for Your word this
-
morning, for His forever settled.
-
In heaven, asking you. God to move in our midst this
-
morning. God that you would take this
-
message, Lord, and use it for your glory.
-
Lord, we need your help. We need your anointing this
-
morning. God, we need you to stop by
-
here. God and touch hearts.
-
And souls, today we ask it, Lord, in that lovely name of
-
Jesus. A man and a man and you can be.
-
Seated praise the. Lord Hallelujah.
-
Well, I'm not. Going to just.
-
Start it with a title this morning.
-
I'll I'll get to that in just a little bit, but I.
-
I want to talk a little bit about Lazarus.
-
Lazarus was sick. And died.
-
And he'd been dead for four days when Jesus showed up.
-
And Martha declares to Jesus by this time he stinketh.
-
Yet when Jesus called him, he came out of the grave.
-
I want you to know, you know that Martha didn't mince any
-
words when she talked to Jesus because in verse 39, it tells
-
that part of the story that Jesus said, take you away the
-
stone. Martha, the sister of him that
-
was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh, for he
-
had been dead 4 days. Amen.
-
I began to roll over in my mind and I began to think back when
-
mother died and and Hospice gave us a book and that book when
-
mother took control, when they took control of mother's health
-
right before she passed. And that book LED you through
-
the process to death. And it was a wonderful book.
-
It answered most of your questions and it stated that the
-
last sense that left you before death was hearing.
-
And I have heard many from the medical field say the same
-
thing, which led me to believe that this must be so.
-
It seems that Lazarus case the first thing that must have come
-
back to him was his hearing, because when Jesus called, he
-
answered a man all right now I'm going to I'm going to minister
-
this this morning. Will you wake up?
-
Will you wake up on March the 23rd, 2022.
-
I was well on my. Way to leaving this world and
-
some of you know. That as normal.
-
I took my glucose reading before bedtime and it was 185, which in
-
most cases meant I was fine as normal.
-
I was good for the night. I took my Lantus and you know,
-
shot, laid down for the night of rest.
-
Surprisingly, in a short while, Sister McGee said I was kicking
-
my legs and throwing my arms uncontrollably and she spoke to
-
me but I didn't respond. She called Brother Paul and said
-
you better get over here, you better call 91 O1 and you better
-
get over here because something is bad wrong.
-
Your dad is not responding. I was in a state.
-
Of unconscience I couldn't hear, I couldn't see, I couldn't
-
nothing I didn't know. Any of this was going on.
-
Amen. A coma.
-
I don't know, I guess I was maybe.
-
Some I was unconscious anyhow, only the Lord knows.
-
And I don't remember any of those things that I just
-
mentioned. I'm I'm only doing by what I was
-
told by kids. By my wife and.
-
All of that. Amen.
-
My glucose was taking it somewhere in that time, and it
-
was 23, Sister McGee said. She began to administer one of
-
the bottles of glucose that's that I carry with me all the
-
time and kind of began to just kind of pour a little of it at.
-
A time, very slowly. Down me and 911's on the way and
-
all of. That and when.
-
She began to minister that slowly.
-
During that time, Paul junior, I guess, showed up.
-
Sister Rhonda showed up and 911. Showed up and.
-
Guess who was on the 9111? Call that night it was nobody
-
but our. Blessed Brother Tyler Cruz.
-
What a blessing. I think it was a God thing.
-
I really do. I think it was a God thing that
-
he was there that night. Amen.
-
And. The first thing that I remember
-
was during this time. I I didn't know it, but you know
-
he. Had me all hooked.
-
Up and they was doing their thing and.
-
I The first thing I remember is hearing voices.
-
Voices that I. Recognized my son, my daughter
-
and and my wife and. Brother Tyler, I recognize that.
-
Voice and and. But but I couldn't respond to
-
them. I could hear, but I could not
-
respond. I couldn't open my eyes.
-
I I. I couldn't.
-
Respond to them for a while and then and after a little while I
-
was able to open my eyes and see this beautiful round faced
-
gentleman looking down on me smiling and he said I'm.
-
Giving you some mashed. Potatoes to.
-
Sweeten you up. A little.
-
I was surrounded by people that were filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
It just wasn't my time to go. God wasn't.
-
Through yet Amen and. I'm glad we have some emergency
-
personnel in our church that are trained to save lives now.
-
I feel Holy Ghost a little here now.
-
Amen. Lord, he gives me orders to get
-
something to eat. Imagine that just like Jesus did
-
when Jairus's daughter was raised from the dead.
-
And he you, you, you notice every time through the through
-
the Bible, when somebody was raised from the dead, Jesus say,
-
you know, go, go get something to eat.
-
So that's, that's what, that's what Brother Tyler said when I
-
woke up. He said you need to go get
-
something to eat. So I did.
-
Hey man, now I'm in the main part of my message that I want
-
to preach to you this morning. I want to focus.
-
I want you to focus with me on a very serious question that I
-
will be asking through this. Will you awake?
-
Amen. I believe we have some people
-
that's under the sound of my voice this morning that are well
-
on their way to an unconscious state or maybe already are in
-
that state and not aware that they're in it glory now.
-
I didn't I didn't realize that this was going to happen.
-
I had no idea that it was going to happen to me.
-
I remember back early in in when I first was diagnosed with
-
diabetes that I remember I having a 24 and walking from my
-
bedroom to the kitchen and sitting down at the table and my
-
wife come in and said, what do you want?
-
I I couldn't just really find the refrigerator and and I drink
-
2 pepsis down real quick. She said you want me to call 911
-
and I said no, it'll be all right by the time they.
-
Get here and. And and it come up Amen.
-
But I'm going to tell you there is a time for every purpose.
-
The Bible teaches that. And I believe we have some
-
people here that are in a state that they're unconscious, but.
-
Don't realize they're unconscious.
-
Somebody shout danger. That's dangerous.
-
You know what? They are in a no response state.
-
Their arms and legs are moving. But they're not here.
-
They're going through the motions.
-
They're here, but they're not here.
-
That worries me. I began to think how this fit in
-
so well because this we're living in a world today that's
-
that's not responsive anymore. They they don't worry about the
-
word of God. They don't worry about church.
-
And some that comes to church don't come like they should.
-
I'm going to tell you, if we're not careful, it'd be very easy
-
to slip in that unresponsive state and say it's all.
-
Right, it's just. One Sunday, it's just this.
-
It's just that it's just, I'm not, I'm not backslid.
-
I'm doing all right. I still got the Holy Ghost.
-
God still moves on me. Come on, church.
-
We got to watch it. Or we can just fall into that,
-
no responsive state in nothing flat and not understand that
-
we've already fallen from where we were.
-
Hallelujah. Thank you.
-
Jesus, is anybody with me this morning?
-
The Lord is trying to wake you up, but you're not responding to
-
the medicine. Will you wake up?
-
You just can't seem to get back. Can't seem to get back.
-
I couldn't seem to get back. I, I heard voices, but I
-
couldn't open my eyes. I, I, I wasn't sure what was
-
going on. I just heard voices.
-
I'm like, whoa, what happened to me?
-
What's going on here? I've got family here.
-
I ain't even aware that they come in, but all at once I hear
-
voices. I'm praying this morning, you
-
know, that God will let you return to where you can hear
-
some voices. I'm praying you can get in that
-
hearing state again if the last thing that goes is your hearing.
-
Then I was close to gone because I didn't know nothing period.
-
Not one thing do I remember of any of that until I come back to
-
and seeing Brother Tyler standing or sitting over me.
-
I think he was in a. Chair, I'm not sure, don't even
-
remember that. For sure.
-
But I'm going to tell you something.
-
We're in a state in church. We need to.
-
Wake up. We need to wake up.
-
We need to wake up to what's going on in this world.
-
The signs of time are all pointing toward home.
-
We've got a, a messed up, we've got a messed up political
-
system. Our judicial system is terrible.
-
You know, we, we let we get people in for rape and the few
-
days they're out and they're running the streets and gives
-
them a chance to do something else.
-
Come on church, we got to watch what we're doing.
-
We don't want to become come unresponsive in this state.
-
Hallelujah. I want God to do something in
-
his church. We cannot allow the unresponsive
-
thing to take over in our life. Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
-
Hallelujah, just. Can't seem to get back.
-
We're trying. We're moving our arms.
-
It looks like we're here. We're we're going through the
-
motions, so to speak, but we're not here.
-
We're checking in and out. Yeah.
-
And I'm not even sure we check when we go back out or check
-
when we come in. We're just in and out, but we
-
don't realize we're there and probably couldn't tell you half
-
of what went on while we was there.
-
Because you're not really here. That's a dangerous state to get
-
in. Hallelujah.
-
I want you to know that the longer you stay in this state of
-
unconsciousness, the less. Chance you have Megan back, Is
-
that right brother? Tyler, the longer you're in that
-
unconscious state, the less chance.
-
You have of coming back. I thank God that everybody was
-
in a hurry for Bishop McGee that night, brother.
-
Tyler said when he heard the address.
-
That I know who that is. That's Bishop and I.
-
I I thank God for him. I was surrounded.
-
By people with the Holy Ghost. Come on, you, I'm going to tell
-
you something. I, I know I, I want to make sure
-
I get this across. I said I was around people that
-
was filled with the Holy Ghost. You want to watch your company,
-
your surroundings means a lot. Come on, you can get out of a
-
circle and if you're not careful, you'll be sucked in.
-
We're we're in that come on, I'm I'm going to tell you every
-
place you look today, there's bright lights.
-
You know, everything's if you if you watch commercials and I get
-
tired of sick and. Well, I get tired of.
-
Sick, Sick of TV. Even just watching it, it's
-
junk. Nothing on there.
-
Fit to watch and and you know I it it the.
-
Commercials, even it's bright lights and this and that.
-
And even when they even when they they, they, they come
-
across there with all. These new.
-
Medicines and how great they are, and then they tell you
-
they'll. Kill you.
-
I mean, I go through all this mess.
-
You know and. It'll do it'll, it'll do the
-
very same thing that you're trying to combat said well.
-
Yeah. Oh yeah, that's.
-
That's what I want. I might as well stay where I'm
-
at, you know? Hey, least I'm living and moving
-
and have my breath and I have my.
-
Being come on, Hallelujah. So we want to watch or we get in
-
that unconscious state and we we stay there.
-
If we're not careful, you can stay too long and get
-
comfortable in that state. And it becomes a danger.
-
Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
-
I don't know. But I I began to think, and it
-
was a it was a good thing that night that Brother Tyler was the
-
one that came to my rescue. Thank you, Brother Tyler Cruz.
-
I'm glad you were on duty. And I think it was God's will
-
that you be on duty. Amen.
-
I had. Holy Ghost people around.
-
Me. Amen.
-
I, I, I won't forget. And it's been a little while
-
ago, but I remember Sister Jen and I don't even remember what
-
happened. I wasn't over here when it
-
happened, but something happened.
-
She was down the. Floor I don't remember, but I
-
remember that night that I come up behind and brother Tyler was
-
down there praying for his wife. Something happened.
-
I don't I don't know where she passed out on what happened, but
-
she. Was in the floor and he was
-
praying for her and all at once I.
-
Heard the Holy Ghost speaking through that boy.
-
He was. He was speaking in tongues.
-
And I don't know but that that give.
-
Goosebumps on my goosebumps 'cause I'm glad he still got the
-
Holy Ghost. Holy Ghost hadn't left him.
-
Praise the Lord. Come on, Church.
-
We got to understand not to get in the unconscious state.
-
I said thank you, Lord. Brother Tyler's not in the
-
unconscious state. Come on.
-
He still knows. He's still He's still tuned in.
-
I don't know about you, but I get worried if I ain't tuned in.
-
I get worried if I ain't hearing from God once in a while.
-
I get I'm worried when I don't pray and I don't, and I give
-
time to listen. He's not talking.
-
Hallelujah, I've been through that in my life.
-
After heart surgery. I I know how.
-
That is, it's, it's not good. It's it's a bad thing.
-
It's a dangerous position. Hallelujah.
-
Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah.
-
I began to think it was a good thing they were there and it was
-
a good thing that my family was all there to be with me during
-
this time. And I thought, you know, I don't
-
know, you know, you they could they come.
-
On, on, Caleb's got a little thing and it's a Friday thing
-
and. You know, and they say this is
-
happy dance Friday. What have you got to have happy
-
dance about? And I thought, I don't know, is
-
I've ever had a happy dance for that.
-
Maybe I already just do it. And, you know, maybe you'd want
-
to join in. Maybe something's happened to
-
you, Dravel, you know, a while ago and God's move for you and
-
you haven't had a happy dance about it.
-
Yeah. Come on, we.
-
Need to thank God. We need to thank God for what
-
He's done. In our life and what he's doing
-
right now. We need to thank God that we're
-
not unconscious. Come on.
-
We're a state of consciousness, and we know.
-
What's going on? Hallelujah.
-
Thank you Jesus. Hallelujah, you're just.
-
Coming out of unconscious. State maybe?
-
Maybe you have just started hearing.
-
And maybe. You've just started singing.
-
That's important thing, man, if you can see and hear, thank God.
-
Come on, if you're still hearing his voice, Oh, thank God.
-
Hallelujah. If you're, if you're.
-
Able to see if you're able to read the word and that don't
-
bother you and it does you. Good and you can.
-
Read. That then thank God.
-
You're conscience. At least it gives.
-
You a desire to want to pick up the word of.
-
God and to read it. What a great thing, God.
-
Hallelujah, I'm going to tell you what.
-
All I can think about is through this is Lord Jesus we need.
-
Somebody to be an EMT for some unconscious person.
-
We need somebody. A man to be EMT, Spiritual EMT
-
in the church to be concerned about.
-
Somebody. That's about to go under.
-
That's about to go. Out of consciousness to go in
-
the unconscious state, we need somebody to take.
-
Them aside, and and. To feed them, come on, give them
-
some mashed potatoes, you know, to sweeten them up.
-
Give them, give them some spiritual food.
-
Come on, we need that. We need to encourage one
-
another. This is a time of encouragement.
-
If anybody needs encouragement now, it's everybody you talk to
-
is going through. Something.
-
Everybody's going through troubles.
-
It's this thing is just scattered and plastered all over
-
the United States of America and, and across the.
-
Waters you know. It's it's every place you look.
-
Everybody's got their own. Troubles right now.
-
Some of them serious, some of them is just trouble, but I'm
-
going to tell you everybody has got something they're going
-
through and these these times are perilous times.
-
And it's not. Going to get any better, it's
-
going to grow worse and worse the Bible says it's going to
-
get. Worse, I know we keep hoping for
-
betterment. Well, you know.
-
Maybe the president will. Change it.
-
I don't know. I don't, I don't know about
-
that. I'm not too.
-
I'm not too optimistic. Either way, here I don't.
-
I'm not sure we have. Anybody to vote for it?
-
Be truthful. With you.
-
But you know what? I'm going to vote for Jesus
-
because I'm going to tell you what He'll take care of it and
-
it'll be taken care of because whoever he.
-
Wants in is going to get in. That's the truth.
-
He's got a purpose in what he's doing.
-
Don't grow unconscious in this state that the world's in.
-
Today, Hallelujah, Hallelujah see, what I think we need to do
-
is heed the call because the hour is growing late and they.
-
May not make it. Without your help, I worry
-
sometimes I see some. People that's.
-
Kind of falling away. I might give them a little
-
nudge. So this kind of bothers me.
-
I see things changing in your life, you know, I, I don't.
-
See the old you? Where did you go?
-
Are you awake? Will you wake up?
-
You're asleep, your unconscious. Are you understanding what
-
you're going through? No, probably not.
-
You're following after some things you shouldn't be
-
following after. Come on, doing some things you
-
shouldn't be doing and it bothers you.
-
Part of the. Time.
-
Sometimes it's after. You've done it, and sometimes
-
you don't feel no condemnation. It's a sad state, but if we're
-
not careful, it can happen. So, so quick.
-
Nothing does. Nothing does the devil any more
-
good than to try his best. To just.
-
Trip you up, especially if you've just come in and you've
-
been doing good. You know you're doing great and
-
all at once it hits you say what happened to me.
-
I I didn't realize this happening come on, we're living
-
in a world today that the trickery of the.
-
Enemy is is so rampant that he doesn't you don't even realize
-
what he's up. To what a God we serve today.
-
Hallelujah. Hallelujah, you know.
-
I found out something. After that incident that
-
happened, my family doctor had been taken care of my diabetes
-
since since I found out I had it in 2008.
-
And so after that, after that happened, it kind of dischucked
-
me and I went and got me in chronologist and I had faith in
-
her because she's the one that diagnosed my granddaughter.
-
So I've known her all those years and if I ever had a
-
question, I had her number and I could call her and she'd answer.
-
So I got me an in chronologist. So when I went to see her for
-
the first time, she found out what had happened to me.
-
She said I don't believe that you're a #2 diabetic.
-
I think you're a number one. I thought a number one diabetic
-
didn't make insulin. She said, well, I'm not saying
-
you are or ain't, but we're going to check.
-
So when I went back, she had sent me down that very day to
-
get some blood work done and she sent me a little thing and said
-
you're #1 diabetic. It's what's what we call a
-
latent diabetic. You're a latent diabetic.
-
She said you're making some insulin but not much.
-
And what happened that night? She said normally what happens
-
is because if I had, if I had a low that low like that, that
-
would grab me that quick, it would usually be of the night.
-
And she said. What happens is.
-
Is of the night you become so relaxed and she said that's when
-
you're making insulin is when you're relaxed.
-
I'm going to tell church we don't want to be get all tied up
-
in this world because you're loving to die.
-
You get wrapped up in it and you know.
-
We. We.
-
Want to get relaxed in the House of God?
-
I want, I don't know about you, but I want you making insulin.
-
I want, I want you to keep alive.
-
So I found out that I was making insulin, so she kind of changed.
-
Some things around for me and I've not had that problem like
-
that since and specially since I got this thing hanging on my
-
side because it warns me if I'm low or if I'm high or whatever.
-
And I have I, I did when she started changing.
-
I remember because now I keep that thing beside me of the
-
night and it it woke me up a time or two and told me I was
-
low but not low like that low. It's, you know, if it gets 69,
-
it's going to go off and tell me I'm.
-
Low SO. I'd I'd go get something to eat
-
and I'm all right again, so. Telling you.
-
What I'm saying is. Is you can be making a little
-
insulin spiritually, you can be making a little insulin.
-
Doing a little good, but it will not sustain you.
-
You need help. You need help.
-
You need. Somebody to help you?
-
To sustain you, to keep you. You, you.
-
Yeah, brother, Tyler said. You better go.
-
You get you some protein. Now he.
-
Eats some protein, so I did. So you know, you know, we need
-
some protein to keep it stabilizes.
-
You know, the carbs is our energy.
-
That's our fuel, but we need something to.
-
Stabilize us and I don't know about you.
-
But I'm going. To tell you the greatest
-
stabilize you can get is the. Holy Ghost.
-
It'll stabilize you. It'll comfort you when you're in
-
a. Mess.
-
It'll strengthen you when you're.
-
Weak. Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
-
I just feel. Like I need to.
-
Ask somebody, are you going to be a?
-
Spiritual EMT. Or are you going to let them
-
die? Are you, are you going to take
-
somebody under your wing that you see?
-
That's going through something. Or you just going to let him
-
die? I don't know about you, but I
-
think we need to. I think we need to give him
-
help. My body was fighting.
-
I didn't know it. My body was fighting.
-
But I didn't know it. I was in a unconscious state.
-
I didn't know anything. I had no pain.
-
I had nothing. I could have died right then and
-
and I had no pain because I didn't know nothing, period.
-
I was in an unconscious state, I'm telling you.
-
It slips up on you so quick, within just a little while.
-
After I went to bed, it slipped up on me and the next thing I
-
know I didn't know anything. My wife.
-
She she's she. She was.
-
Trying to wake me and it wasn't happening because she knows at
-
times that you know, the night I'll be laying in bed and.
-
Something will hit me. And I feel like I'm got to pray
-
for somebody. And she said she, like she said,
-
I hollered at you and said, what's going on?
-
You just are you. Feeling something need?
-
To pray for somebody. I wouldn't feel nothing.
-
I wasn't hearing nothing. I wasn't doing nothing.
-
Hallelujah. Thank God for.
-
Holy Ghost, feel people. A group that could wake me up.
-
Hallelujah. Will you wake up?
-
Are you going to wake up? Are you going to sleep through
-
it? Praise the.
-
Lord Hallelujah, I thank God today for the Holy Ghost.
-
There's power in the Holy Ghost. There's I thank God for.
-
Kids that are connected. To God, I'm thankful for my
-
pastor that's there. Hallelujah, Mama, her his.
-
Mama couldn't even dial a nine one to one that night.
-
She didn't even know how to do that.
-
She was she was out of it. It it got the best of her.
-
My son called 911. So I I thank God for people that
-
God. Places in our midst.
-
That knows what to do and when to do it.
-
Thank you Jesus. I guess if I.
-
Think back. I think that's probably the the
-
third time that I've come close to death.
-
At three years old. And then when I had heart
-
surgery close, I had, I remember having, yeah, waking up and a
-
fib, not just a fib, It's terrible.
-
A-fib. I mean, it knocked you off the
-
stinking bed. I was flopping one side the
-
other. I was in so much pain.
-
Here comes all these nurses and doctors in there.
-
They're getting junk in my veins and just pushing it in there so
-
fast that I could feel it. It was.
-
And then this time I'm blessed to have family that knows God,
-
that knows the signs when something ain't right.
-
We're blessed church, we're so blessed a man to go to a church
-
and have good. People that's that's.
-
Concerned about our spiritual health?
-
I'm going to tell you, if you haven't got the Holy Ghost you
-
needed, you got to have it. You can't live without the Holy
-
Ghost. Can't go on.
-
I'm sorry. And if you know whatever it
-
takes, if I can help you get the Holy Ghost, then I want to do
-
it. If if you ain't been baptized,
-
you need to be baptized, repent, be baptized.
-
In the name of. Jesus, for mission to sin, you
-
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
-
It's a promise after you are baptized.
-
It's not a promise before if you get it.
-
Before, it's just a. Blessing.
-
So don't. Don't.
-
Push off. Don't push off being baptized
-
and put it out there. You need to draw near and do it.
-
Hallelujah, Hallelujah. That's where you turn to when
-
and you're in trouble as you turn to God.
-
That's the only place to go. Praise the Lord.
-
Thank you Jesus. Hey y'all, I'm done.
-

-
time, so I let you make up for it today.

-
anyway, so I want. You to this to.

-
to help you wake up? Laurie?
