  1. Can we recognize and acknowledge that goodness of God together

  2. right now? Father, we acknowledge you,

  3. Lord. You have been better to us, God,

  4. than what we have been to ourselves.

  5. Lord, we're thankful, Jesus, for your mercy, your grace, your

  6. goodness, your kindness. God, that's LED us to

  7. repentance. Father, we love you today for

  8. Hallelujah in the name of Jesus Christ.

  9. Thank you, Lord, thank you. Jesus, if you can stand with me

  10. here tonight, a man in the House of the Lord will come at the

  11. spot of the word of the Lord and as you know the Champions have

  12. been with us this morning and tonight and let us in worship

  13. and praise with song and singing and he's going to minister this

  14. night the word of the Lord. If you've ever been in three

  15. services on the Sunday, you know that that you know that's

  16. swinging just a little bit of a ball and chain a man been there

  17. and have done that. So I know a man what that is

  18. like and they have sacrificed a man to be here, a man with a

  19. very busy and I, I know you're redundant pastor, that's all

  20. right. I want you to understand very

  21. busy week last week, Amen for them.

  22. And then they have family. That's crazy enough.

  23. The birds is like we're going to jump on the train, you know, and

  24. they're they, you know, had the similar week, you know that they

  25. had. And so they're here tonight

  26. worshiping the Lord. And from my understanding, he

  27. was in Brazil in the end of this morning preaching somewhere.

  28. So this is like probably service number three for him too.

  29. Amen tonight. So we're thinking about having a

  30. service around 9:00 tonight too. No, I'm joking, I'm joking.

  31. Hey man. But there were days, There were

  32. days. We're so glad to be in God's

  33. house. Amen.

  34. For each one of you that are here that's joined in and

  35. worship and praise today, Amen And we're going to have brother

  36. champion come and minister the word of the Lord.

  37. These folks you, you need to thank their pastor for allowing

  38. them to come, Amen. They're from Sullivan IN great,

  39. great family, brother Scott, sister Scott great family, great

  40. church just right off of high 141 there as you're going

  41. through Sullivan on the left side you see there.

  42. I still call it new because it wasn't that long ago.

  43. About a year ago, I came to preach for y'all and brother

  44. champions in there, laying the bead of caulk, you know, right

  45. there along the sink line before service, just before everything

  46. started. They've been working hard and

  47. diligently. They're on their building and

  48. bathrooms and things like that. Nature.

  49. These are servants. These people are servants.

  50. They're working people. They've been in our district for

  51. years. I remember whenever I was a

  52. young man evangelizing before the the week that we found out

  53. Mariah was going to be born, we were in Medora and we were

  54. holding a two to three, I think it was maybe three-week revive.

  55. It was the revival that Brother Shepard usually did up there,

  56. but he couldn't for some reason. So I was like, Plan B just

  57. didn't have the shakedown, you know, or maybe I could have slid

  58. in. But nonetheless, we were there

  59. and we found out that we were pregnant with Mariah.

  60. And at that time, Brother and Sister Scott, that was still,

  61. that was still their church. I remember distinctively after

  62. service one night as a brother, brother and names that say

  63. brother Walls would have different families of the church

  64. that would bring food and such and we would eat with them after

  65. service. And so we ate with the Scott

  66. family. And from that time till now,

  67. they, they went to Sullivan, started a work there and then

  68. has just grown that work and their families have grown.

  69. You know, the daughters have gotten married and then the

  70. family has grown. I only have one bone to pick one

  71. bone that is two of our couples were out that was in the music

  72. and we didn't get 2 back. Rylan, I'm teasing, 100%

  73. teasing. I'm in your shoes.

  74. I understand right now I'm under 100% teasing on that Amen.

  75. But we appreciate this family. He's going to come tonight going

  76. to minister the word of the Lord.

  77. I just pray you just back God in his word today.

  78. Amen. Let's lift up the name of Jesus

  79. to the word. Can we give a hand clap of

  80. praise unto the Lord as Brother Ryan Champion comes here this.

  81. Hey man, how many is thankful to be in the House of the Lord

  82. tonight? Hallelujah.

  83. What a what a fantastic word we heard this morning.

  84. I told my wife on the way home. I said, you know, Brother McGee

  85. probably doesn't know this and will you be humble enough not to

  86. accept it? I'm sure.

  87. But I said he's probably one of my top five preachers.

  88. And I'm not talking about the Indiana District.

  89. I'm not talking about the ALJC. I'm talking about top time, top

  90. five preachers that I know. I love Brother McGee, respect

  91. him so much. I don't take it lightly that

  92. he's called upon me to stand behind this pulpit.

  93. So many great messages that I've heard him preach and minister.

  94. And this morning was absolutely fantastic, absolutely fantastic.

  95. I told my wife, I said I feel like it should have been the

  96. other way around and he tried, I'll give him credit, he tried.

  97. I should have preached this morning so he could have

  98. finished it up with that word tonight.

  99. But what a word the Lord gave us this morning.

  100. Feasted on that all day long and appreciate him being sensitive

  101. to the word of God, Spirit of God and the moving of God.

  102. Amen. Appreciate Mcgee's and the McGee

  103. family. Thank you so much.

  104. Elder McGee, thank you for what you've done here in this town in

  105. Mount Carmel. Thank you.

  106. Amen. I believe that this is a revival

  107. church. Amen.

  108. The Bible said that in the last days he would pour out his

  109. Spirit upon all flesh and I. Believe it is my.

  110. Opinion that there are individuals.

  111. Today that are looking for revival.

  112. There are churches and pastors today that are looking, seeking,

  113. praying for revival. And I believe that God's word

  114. cannot fail. It will not fail.

  115. And if we will seek his face, I believe tonight that God will

  116. send the revival that He promised because He cannot go

  117. back upon His Word. Amen.

  118. And I know the heart of your pastor today.

  119. Understand his heartbeat and the the messages again, the message.

  120. I've, I've heard him preach. You guys are blessed.

  121. You're a blessed church, a blessed congregation.

  122. I know it's so. Easy sometimes to take that for

  123. granted. That you're a blessed.

  124. Congregation Amen. I give honor tonight to my

  125. brother-in-law and sister-in-law for being here and little Emma.

  126. We're so thankful. I wanted to be with them this

  127. morning and we joined you all here this morning to help out.

  128. But I appreciate them and and what the Lord is doing in their

  129. life and where he's taking them. Amen.

  130. I appreciate my pastor, my friend, my Co worker.

  131. A lot of people's asked us, well, how does that work out?

  132. Well, we just go to work every day and go home at the end of

  133. the night and get up the next morning and do it again.

  134. It works out really good. But a lot of folks can't believe

  135. that we work together and actually it's brother Bird works

  136. with us now. So it's just a family ordeal.

  137. Family ordeal, Amen. But we're thankful.

  138. I'm thankful for that. Such a.

  139. Small blessing of the Lord. I don't, I don't mean this

  140. wrong, I'll bad or anything else, but if you work a public

  141. job, you know what I'm talking about.

  142. I'm thankful I don't have to mess with that junk.

  143. The Lord's blessed me with that. You know how many times we be

  144. working away and somebody will get their phone out and put a

  145. message on and we'll listen to some preaching or we'll listen

  146. to a worship service. And sometimes Brother bird, we

  147. even get the dancing right there in the kitchen as we're putting

  148. in cabinets and say, man, God is good.

  149. I'm thankful for that. Such a small blessing.

  150. But the Lord has been so good to me and my family.

  151. I thank my daughter and my wife. When pastor told me go ahead, I

  152. know you'd never believe me because I don't look that old,

  153. but it'll be 21 years. We'll be married this year.

  154. And I'm so thankful for my wife. She has put up.

  155. You talk about a patient woman that is a patient, godly woman

  156. the Lord has blessed me with. I'm thankful for her in my life.

  157. I wouldn't be where I'm at today without her.

  158. They say behind every good man is a good woman.

  159. I think that is false. If it is, you're in the wrong.

  160. My wife works. Beside me, she's as much as part

  161. as my ministry. She's a much a part of my life.

  162. She's as much a part as what I do as I am.

  163. And I'm thankful that God called us to be one flesh working

  164. together in the Kingdom and I love him.

  165. I'm so thankful I'm blessed. My point tonight is I'm blessed.

  166. I'm blessed. I love my daughter, my wife and

  167. I. When she was Emma's size,

  168. screaming and hollering and carrying on and worshiping, we

  169. always wondered what it would be like to do ministry with her.

  170. And we're so honored so. Blessed and so thankful tonight.

  171. So thankful tonight from my daughter.

  172. Love her voice and thankful to be able to sing with her and

  173. worship with her man. There's a few times that, as

  174. you've seen tonight, my wife will take.

  175. I don't, I don't say a few times like she doesn't do it often.

  176. I just mean that it's not every day that she takes off running

  177. around the church. But those times, my daughter a

  178. lot of times at the home church will jump on the keyboard or my

  179. wife today went and prayed with some individuals.

  180. My daughter took over on the keyboard and her and dad got to

  181. sing together and worship together.

  182. And it's it's such a blessing. God's been so good to me.

  183. God's been so good, better than I deserve.

  184. Amen. I could stand here all night and

  185. tell you how blessed I am, but I'm sure you didn't come to hear

  186. that. So we'll move on to the Word

  187. tonight. But I'm thankful for God's

  188. blessings, thankful for the people that He has put in my.

  189. Life, I'm blessed. I'm blessed.

  190. If you'll help me tonight, I want to preach.

  191. For a few moments from First Samuel chapter. 30 verses one

  192. through 8. And unless the Lord sees

  193. otherwise, I promise to try not to keep you long this evening.

  194. I don't know about you, but I'm more out, my wife said on the

  195. way here. She said I'm starting to feel

  196. it. I said, well, congratulations,

  197. I'm glad you're starting to feel it.

  198. I'm exhausted. I'm exhausted.

  199. First Samuel, chapter 30, beginning with.

    1 Samuel 30 chapter mention

  200. Verse #1 We're going to read through verse #8 and it the Word

  201. of God tells. Us And it came to pass when

  202. David and his men were come to Zig Lag on the third day, that

  203. the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziglag.

  204. And smitten, ziglag and burned. It with fire, and had taken the

  205. women captive, and there and and that were therein they slew not

  206. any neither great or small, but carried them away, and went on

  207. their. Way.

  208. So David and his men came to the city.

  209. And. Behold, it was burned with fire.

  210. Their wives and their sons and their daughters were taken

  211. captives. Then David and the people that

  212. were with him lifted up their voice and wept until they had.

  213. No more power to weep. That's a lot of tears.

  214. That's a lot of tears. And David's two wives were taken

  215. captive, the Hinowim, the Jezreelitis, and Abigail the

  216. wife of Nabal the Carmelite. And David was greatly

  217. distressed. Someone say greatly distressed,

  218. for the people spake of stoning him.

  219. What better reason than to be distressed?

  220. Because the soul of all the people was grieved, and every

  221. man for his son and for his daughters.

  222. But David encouraged himself in the Lord.

  223. And David said to Abathar the priest, Hemilek's son, I pray

  224. thee, bring me Hit her the ephod.

  225. And Abathar brought thither the ephod, ephod to David.

  226. And David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after

  227. this troop? Shall I overtake them?

  228. And he answered him, Pursue, for thou shalt surely overtake them,

  229. and without fail somebody say, without fail recover all.

  230. I want to preach for just a few. Moments with the help of the.

  231. Lord tonight and if you promise to help me this simple thought

  232. stay in the fight, stay in the fight, would you put your Bibles

  233. down and lift your voices and your hands toward heaven one

  234. more time as we ask the Lord to touch the remainder of this

  235. service. God, we're thankful for what

  236. you're doing in this place. We're thankful God for what

  237. you've already done God the words we've already heard today.

  238. Your spirit in the way that it is moved thus far in this

  239. service, Lord God, but we're asking tonight, love that you

  240. would speak one more time to our hearts, to our minds, to our

  241. spirits, God, not only that we hear what is spoken tonight,

  242. Lord, but that we hear what your spirit has come to speak to the

  243. church. I pray, God, that you will take

  244. us and move us from the place where we find ourselves, the

  245. place tonight, God, Lord, in our humanity.

  246. Take us, Lord, from the place we are tonight to that place where

  247. your spirit is and that place where you dwell, God.

  248. Lord, move us and take us, Lord, to what you desire us to be

  249. tonight before we leave this this house and we leave this

  250. place, God, and to you be all the glory, all the honor, and

  251. all the praise, and everyone said Amen.

  252. Amen. You may be seated without

  253. hesitation. I would assume that it is a safe

  254. bet to say that every person under the sound of my voice has

  255. been through a period of time in your life where it felt like you

  256. were fighting hell. It felt like you wasn't getting

  257. anywhere, but it felt like you were pushing against hell head

  258. on. It felt like the only thing that

  259. you were living for is to fight against hell.

  260. There is a common misconception or a misunderstanding that once

  261. you start living for God, you don't have any more trouble in

  262. your life and you won't face any more struggles in your life and

  263. you won't have any more hard times.

  264. But I've come to ask you this question this evening.

  265. Why would the devil tempt someone who he already had?

  266. Why would the devil come after the after you if he already had

  267. you locked up? Why would he try to bind you if

  268. you were already # Why would he try to put a trap in front of

  269. you if you were already stared by the?

  270. Traps that he had set. Before you, what I'm getting to

  271. tonight is this. If the enemy is on your back,

  272. and if it seems that every time you get a good foothold and

  273. begin to gain ground, there's there's another mountain for you

  274. to climb, or there's another river for you to cross.

  275. I just want you to. Know that you become a threat.

  276. To the enemy and to his Kingdom. You've become a threat to the

  277. devil and to the Kingdom of. Hell, Hallelujah, if it feels

  278. like every time you turn around there's another river, river to

  279. cross, and every time you cross that river there's another

  280. battle to be fought, then I want you to know, sign of God, you're

  281. on the right track, you're doing the right thing.

  282. Just keep on keeping on. Keep on in the apostles

  283. doctrine. Keep on believing in truth.

  284. Keep on coming to church, keep on sacrificing, keep on

  285. worshiping, keep on praising. Keep on.

  286. Hallelujah, the Bible tells us in First Corinthians chapter 10

    1 Corinthians 10:13

  287. verse 13, there hath no temptation taken you, but such

  288. as is common to man, that God is faithful, who will not suffer

  289. you to be tempted above what ye are able, but will with the

  290. temptation also make a way of escape that you may be able.

  291. To bear it I've. Come tonight to preach the

  292. someone that has been struggling.

  293. With your pressures of life, maybe you've been struggling.

  294. With an addiction, and maybe it's not even a drug addiction.

  295. But it's an addictive urge that tries to get you to go back to

  296. the thing. That God delivered you from.

  297. The very thing that God saved you from, the devil spit on your

  298. back and he's been telling you lies and he's trying to get you

  299. to fall. He's trying to get you to slip.

  300. He's trying to get you to lose Crown, but come to preach to the

  301. church tonight. Stay in the fight.

  302. You gotta stay in the fight. I've come tonight to preach to

  303. the person that's been questioning and wondering if the

  304. fight is worth the reward at the end.

  305. I've come to talk to the individual that seems to hear

  306. every word that the devil is telling you, but you've been

  307. struggling hearing the voice of God speaking to your life.

  308. I've come to talk to the Saint of God that is weary from the

  309. battle and feels like every time you get done fighting hell,

  310. there's another fight to be fought.

  311. There's another devil on the other side.

  312. There's another mountain to move, another river to cross.

  313. I've come to tell somebody tonight you got to stay in the

  314. fight. It's not over.

  315. You're not defeated. No matter what lies the devil's

  316. trying to tell you, you're still on the winning side.

  317. Don't give up, don't give in. Don't quit.

  318. But tonight you've got to stay, I said.

  319. Tonight you got to stay in the fight.

  320. Hallelujah. There's a scripture in the

  321. Bible, Elder. It says fight for your houses.

  322. Fight for your. Families, fight for your sons.

  323. Fight for your daughters. I've come to tell somebody

  324. tonight in this house, there's some things worth fighting for.

  325. There's some things that if it was gone out of my life for the

  326. McGee, it wouldn't bother me. But there's some other things in

  327. my life that are important to me.

  328. There's some other things that I've got some value upon.

  329. There's some other things that I hold dear in my life and it's

  330. worth fighting for. Hallelujah, Hallelujah.

  331. I wrote down in my Bible some time ago.

  332. I heard a preacher talking and he said these words.

  333. I wrote it on the front page of my Bible.

  334. I look at it often. It says if you want to be

  335. defeated, look behind you. If you want to be distracted,

  336. look around you if you want to be.

  337. Dismayed. Look ahead of you if.

  338. You want to be delivered. I said if you want to be

  339. delivered, look to the hills. Look up for your strength is in

  340. the hills. Your deliverance is in God, your

  341. victories in God. You got to stay in the fight.

  342. Hallelujah. Somebody clap your hands to the

  343. Lord right now. Hallelujah.

  344. Lift him up right now in this place.

  345. Oh God, Lord, we worship you. God, we magnify you.

  346. God we've come to exalt. You tonight, God, Hallelujah,

  347. Hallelujah. I feel like the Lord wants me to

  348. encourage the church tonight. Keep on fighting, even though

  349. you may be weary from the battle.

  350. Keep on being faithful to the House of God, even when it feels

  351. like you can't put one foot in front of the other.

  352. Keep on worshipping, even when you don't feel those goosebumps

  353. running up and down your spine. Keep on believing.

  354. Although you haven't. Seen the answer.

  355. Yet. Or anything that even resembles

  356. the answer. Keep on.

  357. Praying when it feels like your prayers aren't going any higher.

  358. Than the ceiling keep on fast. And then although it.

  359. Doesn't appear that the last one accomplished anything.

  360. I'm telling some St. of God the devil's been battling you.

  361. He's trying to discourage you, but I've come tonight to tell

  362. somebody you gotta stay in the fight.

  363. You gotta stay in the fight. Scripture tells us in First

    1 Samuel 30 chapter mention

  364. Samuel chapter 30, when David had returned to Ziglag, he found

  365. that everything that he held here, everything that he deemed

  366. is valuable in his life had been taken.

  367. I want to talk for just a minute about the life of David.

  368. David was a man after God's own heart.

  369. The Bible said David did great things for the Kingdom of God.

  370. David was one of the finest kings that Israel, the finest

  371. rulers that Israel ever had. But let me tell you something

  372. about. David Pastor, you preached about

  373. it this. Morning.

  374. The shards and the broken pieces.

  375. I've come to tell somebody what a.

  376. Message of from God, just because you're broken.

  377. Doesn't mean that God's not got a.

  378. Plan for you just because. You're broken doesn't mean that

  379. you still can't carry the coal. Just because you're broken

  380. doesn't mean the water can't still flow from your vessel.

  381. I've come to tell somebody tonight.

  382. David was a man after God's own heart.

  383. He had a burden, he had a desire, he had a passion, he had

  384. a vision. But David failed, just like you

  385. and I, human. Flesh and blood.

  386. David fell into temptation. David, as a matter of fact.

  387. He went. To fight with the army of the

  388. Philistines. That's right.

  389. Before we read in First Samuel chapter 30, David had went and.

    1 Samuel 30 chapter mention

  390. Fought with the Philistines. He ran to the army as a matter

  391. of. Fact, if you remember back.

  392. Earlier in the. Bible, you will remember the.

  393. Story of the Philistine Army and how they defied the.

  394. Armies of. God and there was a man called

  395. Goliath that stood down in that valley, and he would his.

  396. Voice would echo out. And he would say, send me a man,

  397. send me a man. And here was this king of

  398. Israel, or he wasn't king yet, but God had a plan for him.

  399. Here was this man of God. He probably didn't have the mind

  400. of God yet, but he was going to. Have it if he'd.

  401. Hang on just a little longer. If he'd stay in the battle.

  402. If he'd stay in the fight and he rushed to this Goliath, this

  403. this army, he rushed down to this Goliath and he began to to

  404. fight Goliath with just a a sling and some stones.

  405. I'm have to slow down. My body can't keep up with my

  406. mouth or vice versa. I'm not sure which it is.

  407. He found himself in a place that every one of us have probably

  408. found ourselves in at some point in time or another, place of

  409. despair, a place where there seemed like no hope.

  410. He was fighting for the wrong things.

  411. He was fighting on the wrong side, fighting against the wrong

  412. things. He had joined the armies of the

  413. Philistines, began to fight and done his best to stay away from

  414. fighting Israel. And here he was fighting for the

  415. wrong things. But it's in this moment that you

  416. will read towards the end of verse number six that the

  417. captain had told him. He said, go on home.

  418. Some of the men were discouraged.

  419. Some of the men were distraught because David, the one that had

  420. killed there, he's the one that defied, He's the one that killed

  421. their giant. Can I preach here for a moment?

  422. How many times, how many times have we come into church on a

  423. Sunday night, felt the anointing of the Lord, went home and

  424. killed a Goliath, went to the altar and killed a giant, took

  425. it to the altar and got rid of a giant.

  426. But we went back home and Monday morning, Elder, we started

  427. fighting for the wrong team. Monday morning we started doing

  428. the wrong things. Monday morning we started

  429. hanging out with the wrong crowd.

  430. And the whole time I could imagine God.

  431. Is somewhere in heaven. Scratching his head going.

  432. Oh, but I anointed you. I bless.

  433. You. What are you doing but human

  434. nature? Our flesh, our carnality.

  435. We find ourselves in the wrong places.

  436. At the wrong times. I'm here to tell somebody.

  437. We got to get our eyes focused on the goal.

  438. We got to get our eyes focused on the prize.

  439. I've heard stories, I've never met her, but I've heard stories

  440. of my wife's great grandmother. She had a saying she would

  441. always say. She said if you'll keep a vision

  442. of heaven and you'll keep a vision of hell, you'll never

  443. backslide. Elder, Sometimes we we lose our

  444. vision of hell. We like to preach about heaven,

  445. how beautiful it is. And all I want to see it and

  446. all. I can't wait to be there.

  447. But I'm here to tell. Somebody we got to have a vision

  448. of hell because that's what's going to keep us from going

  449. there. It's seeing those flames, it's

  450. hearing those voices that gnashing and wailing.

  451. It's hearing those things that's going to keep us.

  452. We got to stay in the fight. Is in this moment that we read

  453. towards the end of verse number six that David encouraged

  454. himself in the Lord. There's sometimes we just need

  455. to get along with God. I found for my own life, for my

  456. own self. It's when I reached the point of

  457. desperation. It's when I reached the point of

  458. no return. It's when I messed everything

  459. up. Just about as big as you can

  460. mess. It up then I found.

  461. Myself in a prayer room somewhere.

  462. And I've knelt down at an. Altar somewhere in a prayer

  463. closet. Somewhere and I begin to cry out

  464. to God, and God begin to let me know, Child, I love you.

  465. You're still my child. I still.

  466. Got to work for you. I've still got an anointing for

  467. you. Hallelujah.

  468. But we got to stay in the fight. Everything that David had that

  469. was valuable to him had been stolen, and the men that David

  470. had been fighting alongside with had even turned against him.

  471. There was talk amongst the men as they stood around this pile

  472. of rubble, this pile of garbage, this pile of of dismay.

  473. As they stood around this pile, There was talk about stoning

  474. David, their leader. There was talk about taking care

  475. or or stoning, getting rid of the wand that had LED them so

  476. many times in the battle. Can I pause right here for just

  477. a second and say that sometimes we get so distracted by the pile

  478. of what? Used to be in our lives that we

  479. fail to see the victim victory that God is fixing to lead us

  480. into. I said.

  481. We get so distracted by the pile of junk, the pile of mess hubs,

  482. the pile of mistakes that we fail to see what God is trying

  483. to do in our life. Hallelujah.

  484. Somebody ought to help me right here.

  485. Somebody in this room needs to understand that God is not

  486. leading you into where you came from.

  487. I said God's not leading you back into what He delivered you

  488. from. He's not taking you back to

  489. where He brought you from. But this is a new thing.

  490. God is doing a new. Thing in your life?

  491. He's making you a new vessel. He's doing a new.

  492. Work in you. He's taking you a different

  493. direction than what you've ever been before. 2nd Corinthians 5

  494. and 17 says therefore if. Any man be in Christ.

  495. He is a new creature. All things are passed away.

  496. Behold, all things become new. It's not God's desire for you to

  497. fall back into the lifestyle that you came from.

  498. It's not God's desire for you to experience what you came from,

  499. that God wants to do a new thing in your life.

  500. Paul wrote in second and second Timothy 6 and 12 fight the good

  501. fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, where to thou art

  502. also called and has professed a good profession before many

  503. witnesses. What Paul was saying is if you

  504. want to lay hold on eternal. Life you're.

  505. Going to have to keep on fighting if you want to.

  506. Experience a victory in your life.

  507. You're. Going to have to keep.

  508. On Fighting If you want to defeat a devil or a giant in

  509. your life, then you're going to have to keep on fighting.

  510. If you want to overcome temptation that keeps coming

  511. against you, then you're going to have to keep on fighting.

  512. If you want to see an unsaved loved one be baptized in the

  513. mighty name of Jesus and filled with the precious gift of the

  514. Holy Ghost, then you're going to have to keep on fighting.

  515. If you desire to see signs, miracles and wonders in your

  516. life, friend of mine, St. of God, you're going to have to

  517. keep on fighting. Clap your hands unto the Lord,

  518. Shout unto God with a voice of triumph.

  519. Hallelujah. The church was never called to

  520. just lay down and accept defeat. God didn't call us to be

  521. cowards. How many times in the word of

  522. God do we hear him saying he was a man of valor, He knew how to

  523. fight Saul. They sang the song.

  524. Saul killed his thousands. David killed his 10 thousands.

  525. I heard this preached one time and it maybe even been you,

  526. pastor, I don't know, but I love it.

  527. What would have happened? What would happen if Saul would

  528. have joined up with David? What kind of testimony are we

  529. leaving? What are we leaving for the next

  530. generation? Saul killed his thousands, but

  531. David? That wasn't a downplay on Saul,

  532. but jealousy got in the way. The old lifestyle, the old

  533. things got in the way of Saul's life.

  534. He began to struggle with something that he should have

  535. conquered and should have defeated many years ago.

  536. And if he'd have been fighting the good fight of faith, if he'd

  537. have stayed on the path, if he'd have stayed in the Word of God.

  538. Hallelujah. Could there ever be a better

  539. compliment about a man? Then he killed his thousands.

  540. But his predecessor, his predecessor, he killed his 10

  541. thousands. What a man, what a teaching,

  542. what a story, what a victory. Somewhere Saul got distracted.

  543. Somewhere he lost sight of what really mattered.

  544. What really mattered in his life?

  545. The church has never been called just to lay down and accept

  546. defeat. You were never meant to give up

  547. and surrender. But I've come to encourage

  548. someone tonight in this house. You got to keep on fighting.

  549. Keep on fighting in the middle of the rubble, in the midst of

  550. what appears to be destruction by the enemy.

  551. Not. I got hung up by word, Elder.

  552. I don't know if you caught it or not that it says not pulverized.

  553. When it dropped. I hope you don't mind me

  554. piggybacking off your message. This morning when it dropped, it

  555. didn't burst into so many pieces.

  556. It didn't burst into dust I feel like.

  557. God ordained these services to go together.

  558. I feel like the word that was preached.

  559. This morning was meant to be because there was a word this

  560. morning that talked about broken pieces.

  561. Every one of us in this house, and you said it Elder, have

  562. become a broken. You're not going to make it

  563. through this life without destruction.

  564. You're not going to make it through this life without hard

  565. times. You're not going to make it

  566. through life without issues and problems.

  567. But let me tell you about the wounds that persevere.

  568. Let me tell you about the wounds that make it.

  569. Let me tell you about the wounds that God's coming back for.

  570. It's those that understand that even though I'm a broken piece,

  571. even though I may be just a Shard, even though I may, even

  572. though there's been construction, even though I've.

  573. Faced hard times, I've faced adversity.

  574. I've been through some struggles in my life.

  575. I just want you to know I understand.

  576. I got to stay in the fight. There's still a purpose, there's

  577. still a plan. There's still something to

  578. fight. For Hallelujah in the midst of

  579. what one of what could have been David's lowest points in his

  580. life. Verse six says that David

  581. encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

  582. I feel that God has sent me here to preach to someone tonight to

  583. encourage you in the Lord. My brother, my sister, you've

  584. got to keep on fighting. I know it's would be easy to lay

  585. down. I understand it would be easy to

  586. quit. I understand the flesh.

  587. That's what it desires. And that's what it wants

  588. sometimes. I understand those things.

  589. But I've come to encourage someone in the Lord tonight.

  590. Keep on the fight. Keep fighting.

  591. Keep fighting. Elder, there's an old song.

  592. I'm sure you're familiar with it.

  593. Keep on the firing line. We must fight.

  594. Be brave against all evil. Never run or never lag behind if

  595. we will fight for God and the right, we got to keep on the

  596. firing line. And I know I've pulled out an

  597. old song that maybe some of this younger generation is not even

  598. familiar with tonight, but I want to tell somebody.

  599. But you got to keep on the firing line.

  600. You got to keep on fighting for God you.

  601. Guys have got to stay in the fight.

  602. Elders, we got to show. These young people.

  603. How to stay in the fight? We got to keep on blazing in the

  604. trail. We got to keep on moving

  605. forward. There's a.

  606. Fight to be fought, but. There's a prize to be won.

  607. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. If my wife would come tonight.

  608. There's still a fight left. If there's still a fight left in

  609. you, if there's still a fight left in you.

  610. David was known as one of the greatest kings over Israel.

  611. He had in the book of Acts that says that.

  612. He was called a man. After God's own heart, David

  613. accomplished many great things for the Kingdom and the people

  614. of God. But it was when David stopped

  615. fighting, I preached all that. To come down to this moment,

  616. Elder. It was when David stopped

  617. fighting as long as he was. Fighting there was an anointing

  618. on his life. As long as David was fighting,

  619. he was defeating giants. As long as David kept fighting,

  620. he was conquering enemies. As long as David was fighting,

  621. the Kingdom began and continued to prosper.

  622. But it was when David stopped fighting the fight that he found

  623. himself on a rooftop, falling into sin and temptation.

  624. His men were out fighting, those around him were out fighting.

  625. And here, said David at home, that was not customary.

  626. Elder. The king was supposed to lead

  627. them in the battle while David was fighting.

  628. As long as he kept. Fighting.

  629. He was conquering devils. As long as he kept.

  630. Fighting, he was defeating enemies.

  631. As long as he kept fighting, he was battling giants and

  632. defeating giants. As.

  633. Long as he kept fighting. But when he stopped fighting, he

  634. found himself on a rooftop and his eyes.

  635. Overtook. Him seeing something that he was

  636. never meant to see, Bathsheba begin to fall into temptation.

  637. Why? Why did he fall into temptation,

  638. Pastor? It's because he quit fighting.

  639. He stopped fighting. He gave.

  640. Up somewhere. Out there, there was a room that

  641. had David's sword. And it had David's.

  642. Spear. And it had David's Harmer

  643. somewhere aside. He had.

  644. Laid some things. Off that should have been more

  645. than anything to David. I can't think of a moment in his

  646. life when he was more anointed than when he was on the

  647. battlefield, but somewhere, somehow in his life, he had laid

  648. his armor aside. As long as David was fighting,

  649. God was a blessing. I want to challenge someone here

  650. in this House tonight if you want victory over the adversary.

  651. If you want victory over the adversary, you'll.

  652. Have to stay in the. Fight.

  653. If you want deliverance from that thing that you've been

  654. bound by, you'll have to stay in the fight.

  655. I feel like there's a fighting spirit that is rose up in this

  656. house tonight. And it's not brother against

  657. brother and sister against sister, but the church is rising

  658. up against the enemy of our soul, the church.

  659. There's a spirit that's coming on us right now.

  660. There's a deliverance. There's a anointing that is

  661. coming upon this place right now, in this house.

  662. Would you stand to your feet with me right now and lift your

  663. hands toward heaven? Every eye closed, every head

  664. bowed, every voice lifted. I feel like there's a spirit.

  665. That wants to flow through this. Place there's an anointing that.

  666. Wants to flow through this place.

  667. There's a touch from God. Hallelujah, Jesus, 2nd

  668. Corinthians 10 and four says the weapons of our warfare are not

  669. carnal, but they're mighty through God to the pulling,

  670. pound to the pulling. Down of strongholds.

  671. There's some things in your life that I believe God is

  672. challenging somebody tonight in this house.

  673. Are you willing to stay in the fight?

  674. Are you willing to take it to an altar?

  675. Are you willing to lay it down for good?

  676. And pick up the sword, pick up the armor.

  677. Understand what you're being called to.

  678. Understand the call that's on your life tonight.

  679. Understand what God is calling. You to tonight in this place.

  680. I believe that in this House tonight there are people that

  681. are tired of allowing the enemy to deem you as useless.

  682. I believe tonight. In this House there are.

  683. Individuals that God has been placing something.

  684. Down in your spirit, there's been a stirring and a shaking

  685. down in your spirit that says, you know what?

  686. I've took it long enough. I've put up with it long enough.

  687. I'm going to stand and fight. There's some people in this

  688. place tonight that's made-up in your minds already in this

  689. service. I'm not leaving this house until

  690. God changes me. I'm not leaving this place

  691. without a sword in my head. I'm not leaving this house

  692. without a spear. I'm not leaving this place

  693. without a shield. I've come to tell somebody in

  694. closing tonight, these altars are open.

  695. If you feel the Lord touching your heart.

  696. If you feel God tugging on you, If you feel that heaviness.

  697. If you're tired of the harassment.

  698. That the. Enemy has placed on you.

  699. If you're tired of battling that same temptation, if you're tired

  700. of struggling with that same situation, I've come to tell you

  701. that as long as you stay in the fight, God will anoint you and

  702. bless you. Hallelujah.

  703. Come on, somebody. Come on, let's get around the

  704. front. If you would and you're not

  705. praying, why don't you find somebody right now that's

  706. praying? Why don't you lay a hand on a

  707. brother and a sister?
