  1. Hey, man, surely the Lord is good in this place and whatever

  2. you get tonight, you still got to come back midweek.

  3. You can't get enough to say I can take a week off.

  4. Thank God for the presence of the Lord that's in this place

  5. tonight. And I've, I don't know if you

  6. call it learned or recognized or there there's a statement and

  7. you've heard it. God can do more in one second

  8. than we can do in a lifetime. All of my charm, my wife says I

  9. have a little my charm, my witticisms, my anecdotes, my

  10. stories, my wisdom, whatever that is, all of that combined is

  11. a dull knife compared to the Spirit of God and the Word of

  12. God. But tonight I could draw your

  13. attention to Exodus chapter 30. Now I again want to honor Pastor

    Exodus 30 chapter mention

  14. Sister McGee and their beautiful children.

  15. You're a wonderful singer, by the way.

  16. And Brother Trevor, just an excellent young man and this

  17. praise team, I guess it's wrong for me to try to take him to

  18. date. So I guess I won't.

  19. But just wonderful, just the presence of God in this place.

  20. And Bishop, Sister McGee, just beautiful people.

  21. And he's got a better memory than me.

  22. He said we, we, we've already met Tennessee.

  23. So I used to think I never forgot a face, but now I forget

  24. names and faces. But in Exodus chapter 30, well

    Exodus 30 chapter mention

  25. there is a verse here 34 Thank you sister.

  26. It's like when I look down, it turns into Egyptian

  27. hieroglyphics. I guess it's time for a large

  28. print. And the Lord said unto Moses,

  29. taken to the sweet spices, stacked tea and onicha and

  30. Galvan of these sweet spices with pure frankincense of each,

  31. shall there be a lightweight or a same weight?

  32. And thou shalt make it a perfume of confection after the art of

  33. the apothecary tempered together, pure and holy.

  34. Just a little bit. I'll try not to be long.

  35. Want to speak on the fragrance of imperfection?

  36. Tell your neighbor, God's better to me than I deserve.

  37. Amen. Thank you.

  38. It's just an honor to be with you.

  39. You may be seated tonight in this same chapter, just a few

  40. verses up. God gave them the recipe.

  41. Verse 23 and 24, the recipe for anointing oil and for anointing

  42. oil, there was a certain amount God told them to make.

  43. And so I went to Amazon.com and thought how much would it cost

  44. me to make that? And I picked the finest

  45. ingredients, most expensive. And if you have $70,000, you can

  46. make you some. Now that was the price about two

  47. years ago, probably more with inflation going on evident that

  48. that tells me the anointing is expensive and it's pricey.

  49. And not to mention to cultivate it, it's, it's what you would

  50. call a violent, possibly dirty process, digging in the mud

  51. behind the bark of trees. It's not for the faint of heart

  52. gathering these ingredients and then the Lord gives the

  53. ingredients for the incense, for the altar of incense and incense

  54. perfume, kind of synonymous. And your favorite perfume or

  55. your favorite Cologne is comprised of top notes, heart

  56. notes and bass notes. My wife.

  57. You like the smell? Yeah.

  58. Yeah. That you smell good.

  59. That's nice. That's it.

  60. I can no longer smell it any longer.

  61. And I love Cologne. And I'm figuring if you can

  62. smell me coming in, I've figured out quit wasting the Cologne

  63. because I use it. And four years later, I still

  64. got some. And I'm thinking I don't use it

  65. enough. So I give a couple of extra

  66. squirts. But when I spray it, God has

  67. made us. We're fearfully and wonderfully

  68. made. Oh Lord, we are so fearfully and

  69. wonderfully made. There's 100,000 hairs average on

  70. people's heads. With 7.8 billion people, you

  71. have trillions of hairs. If you were to count them, it

  72. would take you 22 million years. By that time you'd have to start

  73. all over because we all lose a few here and there.

  74. But I think that's just God showing off that he says, look,

  75. the very hairs of your head or number.

  76. If you don't think he cares about your problems, you see,

  77. that's not a problem. That's just God saying, look, I

  78. know who you are, I've got you. So he made it to where you don't

  79. want to be captivated with the smell that you can't smell

  80. danger. You don't want to be captivated

  81. with the smell of your wife's perfume that when you're out to

  82. eat and you start to eat something, you don't smell that

  83. it's bad because that's why God put that nose right there next

  84. to our mouth to keep you from ingesting something that has

  85. spoiled. So the olfactory nerves, they

  86. are in gear, but they clear themselves after just a few

  87. moments. So ultimately your, your perfume

  88. or your Cologne is really not for you.

  89. It's it's for others. And the base note, it's what

  90. causes you to purchase it again. It makes it last.

  91. Now you, you may think, well, I can look at the ingredients on

  92. this perfume or Cologne and I can just make some myself.

  93. But it in actuality, there's between 10 to 50 secret

  94. ingredients that the Trade Commission and the fair.

  95. Packaging Act says. You don't have to list that or

  96. everybody would have that. These ingredients do not have to

  97. be disclosed, considered trade secrets.

  98. It's interesting. Now, galbanum, one of the four

  99. ingredients of the incense, is often used as a top note and a

  100. base note serves as a fixative. And they're actually use it

  101. today in modern perfumes. Some 2000 years later, the

  102. ancient Egyptians used it. We're still using it today.

  103. And the top layers, when you spray that Cologne on, it

  104. quickly evaporates. But the fixative which is the

  105. galbanum. And here's.

  106. That in the molecular structure it allows it.

  107. To stay. Attached to you so your friends

  108. later can say man you smell good, but long since you can't

  109. smell it anymore. The high cost of your favorite

  110. fragrance wouldn't be justified if the fragrance didn't last.

  111. Enter the fixative. They preserve the entire

  112. fragrance by slowing down the rate of evaporation.

  113. God's the one that told him to include it.

  114. Look, if God says something's got to go, it's not for your

  115. hurt. God's not going to hurt you.

  116. Amen. The downside of your favorite

  117. Cologne or perfume? You really don't get to enjoy

  118. it. You get to enjoy the initial

  119. sprayer application, but a minute or less, you can't smell

  120. it any longer. Nose fatigue sets in.

  121. So now stack T onicha, galbanum, frank, frankincense.

  122. They're used in equal amounts. God says as far as the anointing

  123. oil, he said very clearly 250 shekels worth, 500 shekels

  124. worth. There was only a certain amount

  125. of anointing oil that they were allowed to make, but when it

  126. came to the altar of incense, God said you can make as much as

  127. you want, but you got to do it in equal amounts.

  128. You can make you can make a gallon of it, or you can make

  129. 1000 gallons of it and see two times in the morning.

  130. The priests would pray not two times in the morning, but they

  131. were told to pray morning and evening or to offer incense and

  132. it was offered twice daily. They would burn 2.5 lbs in the

  133. morning, 2.5 lbs in the evening, and Jewish history reveals that

  134. they would make it 18140 lbs at a time.

  135. And if you divide that by how much they use morning and

  136. evening, they had 368 days worth.

  137. Now I'm I'm of the. Understanding and the belief

  138. that when those priests came together and said how much are

  139. we going to make, it seems wisdom that they didn't make

  140. just a week's worth, but they made over a year's worth.

  141. That tells me that when you decide to start out for.

  142. God just don't come to church for.

  143. One week and decide it's not for you.

  144. I mean, just go ahead and go ahead and look ahead and say

  145. 2025. And I tell you, I, I tell people

  146. this a lot. I said, look, keep coming to

  147. church whether you're mad. Bad, sad or glad, Just come on.

  148. Now the missus is not here and I miss my wife and she she might

  149. be she might be watching. She's not feeling well tonight,

  150. but we have pulled up in the can I be transparent?

  151. Can we cut the live feed for a second?

  152. I'm just kidding. We'll pull up in the parking lot

  153. and she said I you can just drop me off or I'm just going to drop

  154. you off. I'm going home.

  155. I'm sorry, honey, you're just saying that because you got a

  156. priest tonight. She'll say same thing.

  157. I'm I'm just I'm just going to drop you off.

  158. I'm going back home. But we forgive each other.

  159. You have to keep coming back. If you stay away from the House

  160. of God when you're mad, you're going to miss some services bad

  161. you're going to miss some services sad you're going to

  162. miss some services even glad you're going to miss some

  163. services. You shouldn't have a a fish in

  164. the pond down the street when the singing is going on in here

  165. because a big. One got away the other.

  166. Day now you can go on vacation. That's OK.

  167. I'm sure your pastor allows that.

  168. But come to church whether you're mad, bad, sad or glad.

  169. I love the wisdom of these priests that said we're going to

  170. make a year's worth. And I don't believe they it's I

  171. think it's impossible that they knew the healing properties of

  172. these four ingredients. They simply gathered them

  173. because God said this is what I want you together.

  174. Now stack T these you're going to want to leave here and go get

  175. these ingredients. But the problem is you're going

  176. to have to go to Iran and they're probably not going to

  177. let you in. Antimicrobial, arthritis,

  178. ulcers, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, stimulates

  179. the immune system, alleviates pain, promotes wound healing.

  180. Onicha heals skin wounds, respiratory problems, blood

  181. sugar levels, sinusitis, colds, coughs, bronchitis, sore

  182. throats. Frankincense relieves asthma,

  183. stress, pain. It's antifungal, reduces

  184. anxiety, aids respiratory system disinfectant, stimulates blood

  185. flow, wounds, aids in healing cancer.

  186. Yeah. Bantam, decongestant, anti

  187. parasitic pain reliever, new cell and tissue development,

  188. bronchitis, flu, blood circulation.

  189. Relieves mental trauma, arthritis pain, muscle spasm,

  190. skin disorders, digestive issues, epileptic seizures,

  191. wounds, rheumatism, gout, bladder ailments, water

  192. retention, high blood pressure, chronic pulmonary complaints and

  193. weakness of the back. Somebody say that sounds good to

  194. me. God knew, but they didn't.

  195. And when he tells us that something's good for us, you can

  196. just believe it. You see, incense was offered

  197. every morning and every evening and.

  198. The Bible. Tells us in multiple places that

  199. incense represents the prayers of the Saints.

  200. To pray morning and evening seem to be a good start.

  201. But then along comes Daniel. And he said that's not enough

  202. for what's going on in my life. Daniel said I'm going to have to

  203. pray three times a day. And then Fast forward to the

  204. writing. Of.

  205. Apostle Paul, he said twice. A day is not enough.

  206. Three times not enough. Let's just go.

  207. Ahead and say. Just go ahead and.

  208. Pray without ceasing. Just go ahead and let prayer be

  209. on your lips all day long, on your heart, in your mind,

  210. because once a day is not enough.

  211. Twice a day is not enough, three times a day is not enough.

  212. But he didn't want to set no limit on it.

  213. He said. Let's just say this, just go

  214. ahead and pray all the time. When you combine that with David

  215. who said I will bless the Lord at all times.

  216. And David said, oh, that I might dwell in the house.

  217. Of the Lord forever. I think you have somebody that's

  218. going to be successful for God who's constantly praising,

  219. constantly praying with a constant desire to be in the.

  220. House of the Lord Incense, it was something that God required

  221. and they you got to understand they're they're sacrificing

  222. animals and this incense there's a good chance that the smells

  223. that emanated from those sacrifices was covered by the

  224. this ingredients of incense and these are not easy to get

  225. either. Frankincense is.

  226. It's almost. As if God says I want this to be

  227. used for humans because if if this was if this was a

  228. frankincense tree and this was a Cliff.

  229. Some of the frankincense. Grows over the edge to where

  230. animals can't get to it. God makes it difficult enough

  231. for us to get, but it's almost as if to say, I made this for

  232. you. And in Bible times, frankincense

  233. was valued even more than gold. This concoction, this recipe,

  234. this art of the apothecary had great value in it.

  235. And it was for us. It was to be applied, it was

  236. inhaled, it went through the nose.

  237. You see just a few verses up. The anointing oil was applied

  238. first on the right ear, then it was applied to the right thumb,

  239. and then it was applied to the right.

  240. Great, your great big toe on your right foot, but that

  241. process of going through the pores of they they put blood

  242. there and they put. Oil there, but that process?

  243. Of going through the pores takes a little time to affect, whereas

  244. when you inhale something through your nose, it's the

  245. quickest route to your. Heart even quicker than

  246. intravenous. And God says prayer, If you want

  247. to get a hold of me, you can pray.

  248. He says come boldly to the throne of grace to find help.

  249. In the time of need. And you?

  250. See even today the anointing. Might not be for everybody in in

  251. the regard of. Of ministering behind a pulpit.

  252. But the altar? Of incense and those

  253. ingredients. They work here in this church.

  254. They work in the car on the way to church.

  255. They work in your home at 2:00 AM, seven AM, 4:00 PM.

  256. No matter where you are, prayer works.

  257. And it works quickly. It was so quickly that Daniel

  258. prayed. And Jeremiah, the prophets speak

  259. of the angels, and the angels travel at a speed of 600 and. 70

  260. million miles an hour, That's pretty fast.

  261. So Daniel prayed, and here's somebody.

  262. Blocking the answer and the angels who?

  263. Can fly 670 million. Miles an hour, in other words,

  264. before you even. Ask God already knows.

  265. But you got to. Ask Prayer is the most powerful

  266. force on earth. It's it's our audience with.

  267. God and he says you can come boldly to the throne of grace to

  268. find help in time of need. But it's interesting that

  269. galbanum was not something that smelled very good.

  270. The priest didn't understand why God would.

  271. Ask them to include. Something that smells so bad.

  272. However, it was a one to four ratio.

  273. The galbanum only represented well once, once they had the.

  274. Other ingredients. Jewish history says that GAL

  275. each of the four ingredients represented 19% each, or 76%

  276. with the other. Ingredients that were not.

  277. Disclosed representing the other 24%, but the truth is I.

  278. I can tell you now that where. Sinned at the bound, graced us

  279. much more abound. Somebody needs to understand

  280. that we're not. Here because we're good.

  281. We're here because he's God. We're not here because.

  282. We're good. We're here because.

  283. He's God and the blood of Jesus Christ.

  284. Is a propitiation for our. Sins.

  285. And a propitiation is when the husband.

  286. Gets home. And before the wife lets him

  287. see, the Amazon bill of $400.00 said, here's your favorite

  288. slippers. And we don't get newspapers

  289. anymore. They just hand you this and say

  290. here, turn to foxnews.com and I got your favorite steak cooking

  291. and your favorite dessert. I got your bath running.

  292. And you're like, let me see the bill.

  293. But that's what Jesus Christ did for us, because you can't be in

  294. God's presence that way. But the.

  295. Blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all.

  296. Sin. Allows us to enter into.

  297. His presence. It wouldn't have been very.

  298. Good if the temple had a bad smell.

  299. Everybody would want to avoid. Church if it smelled bad here at

  300. first Apostolic Church, you see, it was Peter that dwelled with.

  301. Simon the Tanner. And that process was one of the

  302. dirtiest jobs that that you could have during that day.

  303. As a matter of fact, the laws of the local town said if you're

  304. going to be a Tanner, you got to do it downwind from the city.

  305. They they were. Forbidden to to put a tannery

  306. upwind to the city because if the wind blew it would bring

  307. that smell to the. Town.

  308. And that's where Peter. I, I, I got a lot of questions

  309. for those, but I, I want to know why he was dwelling with Simon.

  310. The Tanner, but him dwelling. With Simon the Tanner didn't.

  311. Keep. Him from hearing from God twice.

  312. They called him once when somebody had died.

  313. They said go get Peter. He's with Simon the.

  314. Tanner and then another. Time it was Cornelius that

  315. prayed and said, send a Joppa for a man called Peter.

  316. He's with Simon the Tanner. And then when God said, I I want

  317. you to eat. And he showed him all, the

  318. unclean beast. You know.

  319. Peter knew very well that he wasn't to eat them, but he also.

  320. Wasn't to touch them. But Peter was on enough.

  321. Honest enough. Not to say I've never touched it

  322. or ate it because he's living in a whole house full of all this

  323. unclean smell, and if he got up in the night, his foot probably

  324. brushed against a dead carcass or whatever it was.

  325. So he was smart enough not to lie to God.

  326. And he didn't say I've never touched it, but he did say I've

  327. never eaten it. And that lets me know that in

  328. this world with, with all the wickedness around us, it may be

  329. touching us on our left and our right.

  330. It may confront us when we leave these doors.

  331. You, you might be touching it, but you don't have to consume

  332. it. Let me insert here, Don't ever

  333. believe the lie that if you think about it, you might as

  334. well do it. Let.

  335. Me just. Tell you that's a lie, you know,

  336. because you know under grace you you could, you could think about

  337. committing. Adultery all day long under

  338. grace. It was under the law, rather.

  339. There was no penalty at. All There was no penalty.

  340. That thinking I'm going to. Kill you and I'm going to get.

  341. You. The only penalty under the.

  342. Law was when you actually. Did it?

  343. But Jesus said I I say to you that if you look on a woman to

  344. lust after her, you've already committed adultery.

  345. You see, grace isn't something that's sloppy.

  346. Grace wants to clean you from the inside out.

  347. Grace wants to purify your thoughts.

  348. Grace wants to bring every thought into captivity unto the

  349. obedience of Christ. Galbanum had a very disagreeable

  350. odor. Accurate.

  351. Pungent and an unpleasant taste. There was some that said it

  352. smelled like death and smelled like.

  353. Turpentine and the priest. Wondered in if I can if I can

  354. just question their conclusion because we still do it today.

  355. The. Priest said I believe God wants

  356. us to use galvanum because he wants us to include the sinners

  357. that are not here in our prayer. That sounds like the cop out by

  358. the priest there. It cut a little bit too close

  359. to. Home.

  360. Because it's not just them out there that smell, it's us that

  361. have the problem and need a savior.

  362. If I got the Holy Ghost and baptized Wednesday night, I

  363. still need the preacher to tell me.

  364. Let those hands that stowed steal no more.

  365. You see, you're never going to get enough Holy Ghost to where

  366. the devil's going to stop coming after you when Satan when Jesus

  367. was led into the wilderness to be.

  368. Tempted by the devil? Jesus did not answer him in the

  369. way that Satan. Was gunning for every time the

  370. devil spoke. To him, he responded by It is

  371. written and I'm going to tell you if you try to engage in a

  372. verbal war with the enemy, you're going to find yourself on

  373. the outside looking in. What you need to do is say it is

  374. written. It's written if anybody could

  375. have outwitted him. It could have been the.

  376. Lord, but you know what I believe?

  377. What the? Lord was showing us look, just

  378. just. Tell him what?

  379. The Bible. Says.

  380. I got curious one day and I know this is in English, but I

  381. counted the conversation of the words of Satan and the words of

  382. Jesus and sure enough the devil talked more.

  383. It tells me you don't have to out talk the devil to defeat

  384. him, but you do have to give him the word of God.

  385. So the priest said, let, let's not, let's not.

  386. Have this incense without including those without.

  387. And I agree that we include those without, but we got to

  388. include those within. You see, the Word of God and the

  389. Spirit of God is what we need. You might be saved, but you need

  390. the preaching of the pastor and a Bishop, and God is so amazing.

  391. Because in his spirit you'll be feeling him and.

  392. All of a sudden he'll remind you of something.

  393. You need to get rid of he'll. Remind you of something you need

  394. to lay down. And.

  395. When he reminds you, he's empowering you to make that

  396. choice. The Talmud says galbanum smelled

  397. bad. How in the world today include

  398. something that stump because God says I need.

  399. You in my representation, while we were yet sinners.

  400. Christ died for the ungodly we don't have.

  401. I don't know if it's audaciousness.

  402. I'm not sure what's missing, but we don't have the language of.

  403. Paul, today we don't. Stand up and say I'm on the

  404. praise team and I'm the biggest. Sinner in the world, that just

  405. don't sound good. I'm going to preach tonight.

  406. But there's not a bigger. Sinner in this county than me,

  407. It don't sound good to say, look, I'm back home in Illinois.

  408. I was born here. I'm the biggest Sinner in this

  409. state. Paul didn't say he came to save

  410. sinners who I used to be Chief, but he said I am chief.

  411. You know what? You know what that is?

  412. That's built in protection that says I need a savior.

  413. If you're willing to say I'm a big Sinner, then that means

  414. you're saying I need a big God. That's why God said I need you

  415. to clue galbanum in there, because our righteousness is as

  416. filthy rags. If I can admit that I need God,

  417. then I'm. Always going to need him.

  418. I'm not sure the chronological order I've I've looked but

  419. psalms don't. Necessarily come in order.

  420. But I, I believe the words of David that that said, oh, that I

  421. would dwell in the House of the Lord forever and his praise is

  422. going to continue to be on my lips.

  423. I don't believe those words happened before Psalms 51.

  424. I don't believe those words were said before, even though we

  425. still have the capacity to fail. But the Bible says if you add

  426. brotherly kindness, that's one of the ingredients.

  427. If you do these things, you'll never fall.

  428. Listen, there is a place that you can abide where you don't

  429. have to leave these doors and struggle with the addiction that

  430. you're struggling with. The biggest lie is that we all

  431. sin. Everybody sins.

  432. Now, I'm not contradiction what I just said.

  433. Don't condemn me because you sin differently.

  434. Than I do no. No, no, no sins going to enter

  435. there. The same rider that said if you

  436. say you have no sin, you make him a liar.

  437. That same rider said them that sin are of the devil.

  438. You see, we got to, we got to start looking at sin in the.

  439. Right eyes, no sins going to enter.

  440. There. But yes, Paul.

  441. Understood. If I can stay in need of His

  442. grace, I'll be standing in a strong place.

  443. So in second Corinths 12:00 and 7:00.

  444. He said lest I should. Be exalted by measure that was

  445. given to me. A thorn in the flesh comma, the

  446. messenger of Satan. Comma to buff at me.

  447. And God said. He asked him 3.

  448. Times but God said my grace is sufficient for thee.

  449. I'm almost done. Don't get worried, but I just I

  450. just want to tell just short testimony.

  451. I'm playing the drums one night, my dad's pastor back in the 80s

  452. date myself and I felt like I was the biggest Sinner in the

  453. world. I had thoughts going through my

  454. mind that I never told anybody to this day, and I never will

  455. tell anybody. Blasphemous thoughts.

  456. Thoughts that. I I said, Lord, Take Me Out of.

  457. This world for letting me think that.

  458. And this happened over and over. I felt like I was lost and we

  459. only had one daughter at the time, so I'm up there on the

  460. drums on a Sunday night. At that time we had prayer

  461. meeting on Tuesday and church on Thursday, I said.

  462. Lord, let whoever's preaching. Thursday night let him preach on

  463. grace. If your grace is sufficient for

  464. me, let him preach on grace. I didn't even know where the

  465. verse was at the time, but I looked it up in the concordance

  466. and I found it in 2nd Corinthians chapter 12 and verse

  467. 7 where the Lord said my grace is sufficient.

  468. For thee, for my strength. Is made perfect in weakness.

  469. See God don't want to take away our capacity to sin.

  470. And then we're just robots serving God without any choice.

  471. While he don't want to. Take away your.

  472. Capacity to sin, he's never. Going to take away his grace for

  473. your sin. It's so autonomic, just like

  474. your heart. Beating.

  475. And your chest breathing that, Paul said, Shall we sin that

  476. grace may abound? God forbid.

  477. Listen, you can never outrun God's race, I said.

  478. Lord, if if your grace is sufficient for me, let let

  479. whoever's preaching Thursday night, and I didn't even know

  480. who was preaching, let it. Let him preach on that.

  481. I came back Thursday night and I'm sitting on the left side of

  482. the church and the gentleman was Brother Dean and I haven't seen

  483. him in many years. He said turn to 2nd Corinthians

  484. chapter 12. But in my great faith I thought

  485. he might read verse 21. He might not even read what I'm

  486. talking about. He exhorted for about 20 minutes

  487. till he finally started reading at verse 7.

  488. And I got up and started doing laps around the church shouting

  489. Hallelujah. I got back to my seat and I said

  490. I'm sorry for interrupting this Bible study, but I.

  491. Asked the Lord if his. Grace was enough for me to let

  492. whoever was preaching. Tonight, preach on it.

  493. Somebody needs to understand that the devil will lie to you

  494. and tell you nobody loves you. Jesus don't love you.

  495. You've gone too far, you've done too much.

  496. But that's why we need a Savior. That's why I'm sorry but.

  497. This. Nature that we received from

  498. Adam, we're always going. To have it.

  499. That's why Dane Joshua said choose you this day who you was

  500. heard. As for me in my.

  501. House. We're going to serve the Lord.

  502. You got to make up in your mind that if you fall, you're getting

  503. back up. If you fall five times, you're

  504. getting back up six times. You're getting back up 7 times,

  505. you're getting back up 8 times. You're getting back up as many

  506. times as you're willing to get back up.

  507. That's as many times as God is willing to restore.

  508. They call me the snack king. They should.

  509. Call me the Wreck King. I busted my teeth.

  510. I don't know how many times I'm sitting there on.

  511. I had a yellow banana bike and had a gear shift and I'm

  512. thinking I'm getting ready to bake, Break the land speed

  513. record. I had my own countdown.

  514. I went down that hill. When I turned left, I was

  515. approaching the breaking the sound barrier and the bike

  516. started shaking. I went over the handlebars and

  517. landed on the curb, but I got back up.

  518. Then I was riding in the back of the apartment complex and they

  519. had the sewer with the with the big metal gap, big metal gap,

  520. big mouth. I thought, I'm going to ride

  521. across that. My tire slipped in that gap,

  522. caught on the bolts, back tire went over the front.

  523. Tire. This face landed on the

  524. concrete. Busted my teeth out but I got

  525. back up then I. Got the fastest motorcycle in

  526. the in the in the neighborhood. It was a mini bike.

  527. I'm riding this kid man. We're tooling around.

  528. All of a sudden the brake snapped off and it got stuck on

  529. full throttle. He jumped off.

  530. To this day I don't know why he didn't pull me off with him.

  531. I wish he would have. I was too scared to jump off,

  532. but not too scared to run into the fence at the last second.

  533. I just. Closed my eyes.

  534. And I had an egg the size of the grade A extra large right here

  535. on my forehead. But I got back up.

  536. Well, Trevor, come here. Just just do me your your best

  537. fake fall down. That's pretty good.

  538. But that was really good. The Bible says that the priest

  539. saw that guy and he just walked on by.

  540. Everybody just walked on by. But the Good Samaritan came and

  541. helped him. But if he fell down right in

  542. front of me, I'd say, hey, bro, I I'd help him up.

  543. Now, he probably didn't even need any help up.

  544. But if you fall down, the natural reaction is to help

  545. somebody. Get up.

  546. How come we walk right on by and when they fall in the spirit,

  547. how come we walk right on by and when they mess up and make a

  548. mistake, take another dive. Don't hurt yourself, all right?

  549. Just say I preach for another two hours till 839 thirty.

  550. He's still laying there. They turn the lights on.

  551. He's still laying there. You guys come to midweek

  552. service? He's still laying there.

  553. Who would have the real problem, him or us at that point?

  554. How can we leave here with him laying there?

  555. How can we lock the doors with him laying there?

  556. A lot of times we put the criticism on the one that failed

  557. when Jesus said it's really on the one that's not willing to

  558. pick him up. You see, Solomon, I misquoted

  559. this scripture for years. Bible says 2's better than one

  560. because if one falls, you'll have somebody to pick him up.

  561. But Solomon in his wisdom didn't say that.

  562. He said if you got two, he said if they fall.

  563. In other words, he said, I want to let you know there is no

  564. distinction. There is no difference between

  565. him or me because tomorrow it could be me laying there and him

  566. standing there. So if you want somebody to help

  567. you get up tomorrow, then you need to help somebody get up

  568. today, Paul said. He came to save sinners, of who

  569. I am chief. Current present tense in Romans

  570. 7. I got another question for Paul.

  571. He said the things I don't want to do, I do.

  572. He said the things I want to do, I don't do.

  573. I'm thinking, what else did you want to do?

  574. You wrote 12 books or maybe more of the New Testament.

  575. What is it you want to do? You evangelized all of Asia, and

  576. you were. A tent maker, you said, forgive

  577. me for not letting you pay me. He said.

  578. I'm sorry. What is it he wanted to do?

  579. Paul started out as I'm among the chiefest apostles.

  580. He gives his resume, but by the end of his life, he's saying,

  581. wait a minute, I'm the biggest Sinner that there is.

  582. Somebody needs to understand that we represent the galbanum

  583. in the incense oil. In other words, go ahead and

  584. tell God what you're struggling with, because He already knows.

  585. It it means go ahead and. Tell him your weakness.

  586. So on Psalms. 51 and I'll I'll close with this if the musicians

  587. can come. During during the miss of that

  588. trial. Went through and it was like 89

  589. to 93. I would shake hands with a

  590. preacher. I'd shake hands with a preacher

  591. before church and my face would turn red because I felt like he

  592. knew what I was thinking and my thoughts weren't pure and they

  593. weren't right. So it was like a feedback loop

  594. where he thinks I think he knows what I'm thinking.

  595. Then I'd get embarrassed and ashamed of what I was thinking.

  596. And this just went on and I'd, I'd be at a conference and I'd

  597. meet eyes with the past and I think they're, they're going to,

  598. they're going to cast the devil out of me.

  599. Sure is the world. I didn't tell my wife a thing.

  600. I couldn't. I just felt like if I told her

  601. anything that it would come to pass.

  602. I didn't want to give voice to what was going on up here.

  603. Right or wrong. That's, that's what I did.

  604. But I I did call and counsel with different people, but I

  605. never told anybody. What I said but the.

  606. Lord knew what I said. Or what I thought.

  607. And in the midst of that, I'm standing back there at the door

  608. and I hear, I have this dream. I'm standing there and Jesus

  609. walked up the right side like that wall over there.

  610. And he came here and stood and I'm back there being an usher.

  611. And I thought, Oh no. Jesus is here.

  612. And he knows what I'm thinking. And in my dream Jesus started to

  613. leave. And I said I made that journey

  614. from the back door all the way up here, and I said I can't let

  615. him leave. I got to confess and the closer

  616. I got, the lower I got. Until when I was.

  617. Right here in front of Jesus. And I'm I'm quoting.

  618. Psalms 51 that. That Second Corinthians 12 and

  619. seven and Psalms. 51 will always be.

  620. Special to me, I begin to say, created me a clean heart.

  621. Renew the right. Spirit with me, He cast me not

  622. away from thy presence. Take not that Holy Spirit from

  623. me and in my dream I'm. On the floor with my face in the

  624. carpet, and Jesus came behind. Me.

  625. He didn't say anything. He stood me up.

  626. He held my hands up as if to say just.

  627. Praise me. And in that dream, I begin to

  628. say Hallelujah. And when I got to number. 7 The

  629. Holy Ghost fell. I went back to church and when

  630. they said let's all praise the Lord, I promise you I scared

  631. some people. I started saying Hallelujah as

  632. loud as I can say it and they probably thought what's wrong

  633. with him? Just like David's wife said to

  634. David what's wrong with him? Don't ever question anybody's

  635. worship. Don't ever tell you be.

  636. Be be quiet. Nobody did tell me to be.

  637. Quiet if they would. Have I should have took the

  638. biblical? Formula and just cried even.

  639. Louder. You never know the desperation

  640. of the person that they're going through right on the same Pew as

  641. you. I began.

  642. To say Hallelujah and I counted. Every time.

  643. But when I get to #7 the dream didn't happen and I kept doing

  644. it over. And I promise you I got a loud

  645. voice. I can shout Hallelujah really

  646. loud. But I was back.

  647. There at the same church where Stephanie's funeral was, and

  648. that's where. It happened.

  649. I'm up in the. Balcony 2 of the greatest

  650. blessings I've ever had in my life.

  651. Both been in the balcony. If you.

  652. Can get in the house. Or.

  653. Hear what's in the house. You're close.

  654. Enough. If you have to stand in the

  655. street and hear what the preacher says, you're close

  656. enough. So I'm in the balcony and all of

  657. a sudden Mike Williams is preaching.

  658. At a men's conference. And all of a sudden I heard and

  659. I felt. The wind.

  660. Come from the left like. It was like.

  661. And stopped right here I begin to count how to lose.

  662. And I thought I. Can't mess up this.

  663. Preacher's message, I'm going to mess up his message.

  664. And I didn't, thankfully. But when I got to #7 I just wept

  665. and I wept and I wept because God does care.

  666. So fast. Forward to 1998, which is now 26

  667. years ago, I'm preaching and I'm preaching about the battle of

  668. the mind. And prior to that, let me tell

  669. you, I just had a fellowship meeting of the young people.

  670. And the preacher said tonight I'm going to preach on the.

  671. Battle of the mind and what he did.

  672. I just started weeping because I knew God cared.

  673. Just the title broke my. Spirit.

  674. So I'm. Preaching, I said.

  675. I want him in my mind all the time.

  676. I want him in my mind when I'm in my car.

  677. When I'm on my job. When I'm on my bedroom and I

  678. said I want him in my mind all the time.

  679. And I said it with as much fervor as I could.

  680. And when I did, time stood still and God said, let me take you

  681. back to that darkest night of those four years.

  682. And he said to me, look where you were then.

  683. And he said, now I want you to look where you are now.

  684. And I want to tell you the contrast of those two moments

  685. over took me to such a degree that thankfulness flowed.

  686. I began to speak in other tongues.

  687. Hold the end of this. I climbed on the left seat of

  688. that Pew at Light St. in our old building.

  689. I said, Lord, if I could come up there right now, I'd come up

  690. there and give you a big hug. That's exactly what I.

  691. Said. And here's the thing you think.

  692. Sometimes you don't even have a God that cares, but he's mapping

  693. your journey and your destination is heaven and your

  694. destination is restoration. You got some galbanum in your

  695. life that don't smell so hot. We've all got some galbanum.

  696. That's our very make up is we need a savior.

  697. I can't hear Psalms 51 without gratitude.

  698. I can't hear 2nd Corinthians 12 and seven that my grace is

  699. sufficient for thee. I can't hear that verse without

  700. being grateful about a God that cared about me.

  701. I love the line to the song they sing that chains break at the

  702. weight of your glory. It's a true story.

  703. It was in the Spanish American War and they made, I don't know

  704. if it's a psychological experiment or they or what they

  705. were trying to do, but. They made a.

  706. Prison out of paper mache look like stone.

  707. With the dirt floor, the prisoner came in.

  708. Now I had another prisoner, the one that had been there, he

  709. said. I'm going to dig my way out of

  710. here, he said. There's no use.

  711. I've tried, somehow he got to keep a spoon and he start.

  712. Digging and his hand slipped and it hit the wall.

  713. To his amazement, it was only. Paper mache wasn't even real.

  714. I'm going to tell you if you're bound.

  715. It's because God's watching. If you're bound, it's because

  716. God's wanting to see how much you want to be free, because the

  717. enemy can only put imaginary chains on you.

  718. And when God told me, just praise me.

  719. Look, there was a great battle in the Old Testament, and when

  720. they praise the Lord, God set ambushments.

  721. I'm really quitting, David said. We never consulted the Ark of

  722. the. Lord at all in the time of the

  723. reign of. King Saul.

  724. But there was one time that Saul came close and he was there with

  725. the high priest, and they were getting.

  726. Ready to add the Urim? And the thumb and they're

  727. getting ready to inquire about God.

  728. But then he heard the. Noise of the Philistines.

  729. In battle. And he said stop, I got to go to

  730. this fight. And when he got there it should

  731. have been a life changing lesson.

  732. The Philistines were consuming each other.

  733. You're not needed at that battle as much as you're needed at this

  734. halter. You're not needed at that

  735. problem at home as much as you're needed here.

  736. Never, never, never stay home to fight the devil.

  737. Never stay home to fight the devil.

  738. This altar's open tonight. There might be somebody here

  739. this bound. There might be somebody here in

  740. a trial, just like I was. I won't tell you.

  741. God's going to bring you through it.

  742. I don't deserve it and you choose me anyway.

  743. Oh how amazing. Oh, how?

  744. Amazing. Come on, Somebody needs a savior

  745. tonight. Somebody needs a savior tonight.

  746. I don't deserve it. I don't deserve.

  747. It Somebody needs a healing tonight.

  748. Somebody needs restored. Somebody.

  749. Needs renew. Amazing.

  750. Oh how amazing you see the side of me that no one.

  751. Else can see. Come on, somebody go ahead and

  752. confess it tonight. Go ahead and confess your

  753. weakness tonight. He already knows.

  754. I cannot hide from your presence, you know.
