  1. On our lips, suspicion teachers or preachers this morning.

  2. Aren't you thankful for the word of the Lord today?

  3. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah.

  4. Well, glory, everybody say Amen. I don't know, but that everybody

  5. that song, there's meaning, such meaning.

  6. Something about the name of. Jesus.

  7. Ever. Every time they get to that

  8. Jesus part, Mike Foot wants to come off to the floor.

  9. Because I have seen. Times and know of times read

  10. stories of times that the name of.

  11. Jesus was. Spoken and it kept a wreck.

  12. From happening Something from happening?

  13. Or God. Came on the scene just.

  14. Like that? Aren't you that he?

  15. Glad that he's a very present help, not Bible says time of.

  16. Trouble, I know he always has been for me.

  17. This morning, man, I'm going to turn to Second Kings chapter #5

  18. this morning reading to you several verses.

  19. It's good to see and I don't want to start naming names, but

  20. people that have been gone that are back from sicknesses and all

  21. of this junk that's going around, it's rampant right now.

  22. Every place you look, people are sick.

  23. And I'm so glad to see those back.

  24. Amen. I just noticed though this

  25. morning and talked and Sister Kennedy still sick, so let's

  26. remember her. She's been going through this

  27. for a while. She needs our prayers, so let's

  28. let's just keep remembering her in prayer.

  29. Amen. Second Kings.

  30. Chapter #5 And I want to start it.

  31. Verse #9 Amen. I'm not sure I'm going to read

  32. all these verses, but I may. So Naman came.

  33. With his horses and with his Chariots and he.

  34. Stood at the door. Of the House of Elisha, and

  35. Elisha sent a messenger, and to him said, Go and wash and Jordan

  36. 7 times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou

  37. shalt be clean. But naman, everybody said.

  38. But. Naman both wroth and went away.

  39. Said behold, I thought he would. Surely come out to me and stand.

  40. And call on the name. Of the Lord his God and strike

  41. his hand over the place and recover the leper of course,

  42. then I'm. I'm just going to stop there

  43. because I'm going to. Be touching on these other

  44. verses anyway this morning, Heavenly Father, I asked you to

  45. move today. God, I realize, Lord, that I'm

  46. standing here, and Lord, without you I'm nothing.

  47. It's through your anointing this morning that the yoke is broke.

  48. And Lord, this morning we're dependent on that anointing.

  49. God that you have never failed. God asked.

  50. You to move on every heart and every soul this morning bring

  51. deliverance. God, I pray.

  52. Through the word of God today, Lord, and touch somebody's heart

  53. and somebody's life. We ask it in that name of.

  54. Jesus. Amen and Amen and you.

  55. Can be seated. I want to preach this morning on

  56. this subject. I I just this has been.

  57. Kind of all week long. Been dealing with me and I so

  58. I'm. Going to preach on muddy.

  59. Waters, everybody say Muddy Waters, something like this.

  60. Muddy Waters, Waters you can't see through.

  61. I'm going to preach on that this morning.

  62. Hallelujah by the. Lord's help.

  63. Hallelujah. I mean he's going to help me

  64. preach this morning. Let me have a drink this water.

  65. I hope you didn't think I was going to drink that muddy stuff,

  66. man. A very familiar story this

  67. morning that we. Have ministered on and heard

  68. preach many times, but this morning God got a hold of my

  69. heart. I don't know.

  70. It was this week, last week that.

  71. Kind of began to deal on this and seem like every time I

  72. opened my Bible that came to this and I'd go to sleep at

  73. night and wake up and this was there.

  74. See, Jordan is mentioned in scripture 197 times, so it must

  75. be an important place of happenings.

  76. Amen. Most important river of

  77. Palestine. Jordan means the descender,

  78. which means it descends rapidly. Everybody said rapidly, Jordan

  79. is only 100 air miles long, but the full length of the river is

  80. over 200 miles because of all the twists and the turns and the

  81. miles long that it travels a man because of the all the turns

  82. that it makes. And before it empties into the

  83. Dead Sea, it it changes banks many times so it swishes back

  84. and forth. Believe me this morning when I

  85. first I'd done this yesterday, but when I walked into my office

  86. this morning. I could see clear almost down to

  87. here and then it looked muddy. But when I take it and shake it

  88. up, then it becomes muddy. Well, that's kind of how Jordan

  89. was, if you'll just. Bear with.

  90. Me a while while I build a foundation, Jordan changed banks

  91. because of the twist and the turns and all of that.

  92. If you can imagine, it's 100 miles air miles long, but it's

  93. 200 miles when it has to travel the path that it travels it,

  94. it's going from one side to the other.

  95. And it, it's kind of like the Wabash River.

  96. It's muddy. It's, it's, it's not a clear

  97. river. And, and when the goes up and it

  98. starts back down as that comes up, it's, it's real muddy.

  99. If you ever, if you go down to what we've done this during

  100. COVID a lot. My wife and I would, we'd go

  101. through McDonald's, drive through and we'd make our way to

  102. the river and we'd sit down there and watch the river.

  103. And when that water was up, it would just become so muddy.

  104. It was just and then you'd see it pick up all of this trash and

  105. stuff along the side of it and it, it's going down the river

  106. with it. We'd, we'd see, you know, trees

  107. that look, that was longer than this platform and going down

  108. through there and then and it, it's, it's got to be muddy.

  109. It's got trash in it. It's changing banks.

  110. So, so this is Jordan a man. Think about that little bit.

  111. So if if I could say it like this, it has 2 chief

  112. tributaries, the Armak and Jabak history says because it meanders

  113. in contorted. Loops.

  114. And it's constantly shifting its banks.

  115. It is dirty brown color or muddy, can we say, and not at

  116. all a beautiful river. It's not one that you can see

  117. the bottom. It's not clear.

  118. You, you may have fish swimming in there, but you probably

  119. wouldn't see them, Amen. And and if it's, you know, hey,

  120. you know, catfish are down the mud anyway half the time.

  121. So here we go. Amen.

  122. I read in history in 1928 that there was a great hydroelectric

  123. plant constructed there in the lower part of the river.

  124. And why not, brother Tag? Just think about that.

  125. That's a good place to put it, Amen.

  126. The water's moving all the time. It's, it's, it's, it's, it did

  127. make a good place for a hydroelectric plant.

  128. Such a great plant to do so. Amen.

  129. No wonder people wanted to be baptized in Jordan.

  130. I began to think about this. You look through the Bible and

  131. like a lot of your baptisms were in the Jordan River.

  132. Amen. They're there to think about it

  133. a little bit. It, it is a descender.

  134. It's one that's downslope. And we'll get into that a little

  135. bit later. It's it's, it descends some 3000

  136. feet before emptying into the Dead Sea.

  137. It's it, it goes down. So in fact, it runs below the

  138. level of the ocean throughout the greater part of its course.

  139. And so why not have a electrical plant down there?

  140. Amen. And, and it's, there are the,

  141. the Joe of people that baptized in Jordan.

  142. They know one thing that their sins are going to be carried

  143. away pretty quick, man. So why not be baptized Their

  144. their sins are carried downstream fast and and buried

  145. in the mud. Everybody said mud.

  146. Hey man, good place to bury the sins.

  147. I don't know about you, but I want them things buried.

  148. I want nobody to be able to see my sins.

  149. So, so and and so it's a good place to be baptized.

  150. Jordan was certainly a place of baptisms.

  151. If we go through the Bible, you find many times it was a place

  152. of baptisms. John the Baptist baptized, Amen.

  153. John did Mark 1/4 and five. John did baptize in the

  154. wilderness and preach the baptism of repentance for the

  155. revision of sins. And there went out unto him all

  156. the land. Now listen, this all the land of

  157. Judea and they of Jerusalem, and we're all, and we're all

  158. baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

  159. So that tells us if most of the people that John the Baptist

  160. baptized were baptized in Jordan, then there was a lot of

  161. people baptized in Jordan. Amen.

  162. And I began to think of of Naaman's gripes.

  163. He he said, Hey, there's, there's better rivers.

  164. You know, we got better rivers than than his rule.

  165. I can think of two real quick. He said, and and they're a lot

  166. cleaner. Why would I want to?

  167. He's he's he's coming against what the man of God said.

  168. Remember, though, he's a leper. That's what's wrong with him.

  169. He's a leper. He was unclean, if you please.

  170. Amen. And he he didn't, he didn't want

  171. to go and be baptized or he. Didn't want to go and.

  172. And dip in Jordan. Seven times.

  173. I mean, hey. You want to you want to dip 7

  174. times in Jordan? Hey come on, that's a muddy

  175. river. Hey the we got clean ones in our

  176. country. Why would I want to be?

  177. Baptized in Jordan. When I've got cleaner rivers,

  178. don't that sound like just some of us?

  179. But I'm going to tell you something.

  180. I was baptized in the Wall Bash River and come up clean.

  181. Yeah, come on now, I know. Today we got baptistries and

  182. clean water and warm water. And you know, and it's.

  183. Just a suti, you know, and my wife was born in a little Wabash

  184. and you know, hey, that was that's been a little many years

  185. ago. I was nine years old when that

  186. happened. So it's been a few days.

  187. A man that down to Rochester, just down from Kingsburg there

  188. back behind Bell's Woods. And in the river.

  189. Baptized right there are Rochester.

  190. Illinois, that great big city. Anybody know where Rochester is?

  191. Amen. Big old city used to be a church

  192. there. Pentecostal church believe it or

  193. not. Amen when I was a kid.

  194. But Amen. So I was baptized in the muddy

  195. Wabash and come up clean. My Mama was baptized there.

  196. My brother Fred was baptized there.

  197. Sister Betty Phelps was baptized there.

  198. In fact, her. Sister Betty and I was.

  199. Baptized in the same time. Amen.

  200. What a great thing it is when you start thinking back about

  201. all the people of old that were what part of this church who was

  202. baptized. In that river.

  203. Amen. What a great thing.

  204. We didn't know what it was. To have baptistries.

  205. We went to the river and if it was cold, you know, broke the

  206. ice. And you was baptized.

  207. You know, just just because you needed to be baptized,

  208. Hallelujah. So many were baptized in the

  209. river of Jordan. Amen in sex, the second king 6

  210. And I'm not going to read this. This is only a soul.

  211. You've got a reference of where it came from.

  212. One through 7. Elijah made the axe head swim at

  213. the Jordan River. So miracles took place at the

  214. river of Jordan. They're still think about it.

  215. All the things that have taken place there, Amen.

  216. Hallelujah. And then I began to think of the

  217. drop, the drop back of this story, the backdrop of it.

  218. Amen. And I, I want to read the second

  219. Kings chapter #5 and started verse #1 and tell you just just

  220. give you a little background here.

  221. Now Naman, the captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a

  222. great man with his master, and he was honorable because by him

  223. the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria.

  224. He was also a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.

  225. And the Syrians had gone out of by companies and had brought

  226. away captive out of the land of Israel, little maid.

  227. And she waited on Naaman's wife, and she said it to her mistress.

  228. Would God, my Lord, were with the Prophet?

  229. That is in Samaria. For he would recover.

  230. Him of his leprosy. Amen name.

  231. It had everything going for him. But he was a leper.

  232. He was. He was a leper.

  233. He was unclean. Can I say he was a leper?

  234. Amen. And Naman, if we look at the

  235. scripture, Naman was looking forward.

  236. To this. I, I don't think he could wait

  237. to get there. He, he got a, he got a letter

  238. from the king to take to the king of Israel.

  239. And when it got to the king of Israel, he opened up and read it

  240. and said, when this letter reaches you, I'm saying, let me

  241. paraphrase, but tell him the story that when you get there

  242. and the king opens this letter, Amen, then you'll know what it's

  243. all about. That the guy, I want him.

  244. I want this great captain of my army to be cleansed of this

  245. leprosy forevermore. I don't want him to be a leprous

  246. man. I I think a lot of him and he's

  247. done a lot for our country. He's fought battles and won

  248. battles and and because of that, I want him to be honored.

  249. So here he is. So I can almost see name and

  250. he's looking forward because he's he's not going to send

  251. somebody else. He's going down to himself and

  252. he's going to stand before Elisha and he's he's going to

  253. he's he's thinking there's going to be a great ceremony.

  254. He'll, he'll come out sure because of who I am.

  255. Come on. If we're not careful Church, we

  256. get all caught up. In who we are or who we've.

  257. Been I want to tell you something.

  258. I don't want to forget where I came from.

  259. I didn't come from the high society, I came from the lowest.

  260. My daddy wasn't rich, he didn't make much money.

  261. He worked on the farm so so there was not a lot of money.

  262. To be made and and. We didn't live the best, but I'm

  263. going to tell you we live like kings in spiritual world.

  264. Come on, we, we had some things that the world don't have.

  265. Hallelujah. So naman, he might have had

  266. everything that the world had to offer, but he didn't have his

  267. health. Come on.

  268. He was he was unclean. He was leprosy.

  269. His body was messed up with leprosy.

  270. Hallelujah. So here he is.

  271. He thinks this is going to be a great day.

  272. Amen. I'm a king of a I'm a I'm a I'm

  273. a captain of the Syrian Army And and I'm just going to do this.

  274. Naaman was looking forward to it.

  275. He thought there was going to be a great ceremony to observe in

  276. his honor. Wrong old.

  277. Come on. We don't want to expect

  278. something and get over expected about it.

  279. Can't you just hear Naaman? The nerve of him.

  280. He didn't even come out himself. I can't believe it.

  281. I'm a captain of the Syrian Army.

  282. I figured at least he'd come out and and greet me.

  283. But he didn't even come out. He sends a servant out this,

  284. this prophet, this man of God, he's no better than I am.

  285. I'm a I'm the captain of the Syrian Army and he come, he

  286. sends me out a servant to tell me what?

  287. To do, I don't. Take orders from servants, I

  288. give them. I'm on.

  289. Church, I give them orders. And here he's taking a servant

  290. and send him out. To me, not even come out

  291. himself. Been aggravated because somebody

  292. didn't come out and see you. They sent somebody to tell you

  293. something. I won't.

  294. I won't wait for the answer. Hey, man, Hallelujah.

  295. Hallelujah. I don't take orders from

  296. servants. I give them I only.

  297. Take orders from the king. Come on, can't you hear it?

  298. I take orders from the king, and you send me out of servant.

  299. Come on. I give orders to them.

  300. I only take orders from the king.

  301. And what are you talking about? Go to Washington, Jordan.

  302. Go to Washington. That that dirty, filthy Jordan.

  303. That old, muddy Jordan. Come on.

  304. And the more changes banks, the dirtier it gets.

  305. Come on. The water comes up.

  306. Nobody can cross Jordan. Amen.

  307. Come on and it gets it's taking in all the trash off the banks,

  308. it's taking all the dirt and it's putting it down in the

  309. stream. But one thing you can say it's a

  310. rapid moving river. I'm I'm here this morning.

  311. I just felt like somehow this morning I.

  312. Want to encourage and and? Lift somebody up that's going

  313. through some problems. Maybe that's that's at a place

  314. right now. Do you feel a little dirty?

  315. Maybe you feel like you're not worthy?

  316. Maybe you got some sickness or something going on in your life?

  317. Ain't you just going too well? I've come somehow to speak to

  318. you this morning. I've come somehow to encourage

  319. you this morning. And I think we can, by the word

  320. of God, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, glory.

  321. Go washing Jordan, that muddy, dirty river, and be clean.

  322. Come on. I don't think so.

  323. Come on. I I don't think so.

  324. We've got, we've got clean rivers.

  325. Why would I want to go to Jordan?

  326. There's, you know, it's dirty. But if he would have just

  327. thought of all that had taken place at Jordan, if he'd ever,

  328. ever thought of all the miracles and all the people that have

  329. been baptized there, come on. And their sins were taken on

  330. down the river. And guess what?

  331. They was dumped in the grid Sea, the Dead Sea, the Dead Sea,

  332. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus.

  333. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  334. Second Kings 5/13/14 and his servants came near and spake.

  335. To him and said my. Father, if the Prophet had bid

  336. thee to do something great, would as thou not have done it

  337. how much rather than when he said to thee, wash and be clean?

  338. Then he went down and he dipped himself 7 times in Jordan,

  339. according to the man of. God and his.

  340. Flesh come again unto the flesh of a little child.

  341. And he was clean. Glory, I don't know, but when I

  342. was, when I was studying this and when I was praying about.

  343. It all I could. Think if it was good enough for

  344. Jesus to be baptized in, it was good enough for naman to be

  345. healed in? Come on.

  346. Hey, hey. You know, leprosy is a dirty

  347. disease. It is a filthy thing.

  348. The Bible speaks of it. You know this speaks of leprosy.

  349. So many times and and. It's, it's, it's, it's a

  350. terrible thing. It's, it's, it points to sin,

  351. you know, leprosy, something dirty.

  352. Hey man, Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  353. His flesh was made clean by dirty water I don't know about.

  354. You, but I've got. Thinking about that makes.

  355. The miracle even better come. On dirty water brought

  356. cleanliness to a leper. Come on, I'm speaking to

  357. somebody this morning that I don't care where you was

  358. baptized. It could be in the river of

  359. Jordan. But why not?

  360. Come on, just put your sins in the dirtiest place you can get,

  361. because that's something you want to get rid of anyway.

  362. And if you can come up clean out of muddy water, then honey, I'm

  363. going to tell you the Baptist. Real.

  364. Really do it. Come on.

  365. But I think about it and that carries the sins on down and it

  366. ends up in the Dead Sea, you know.

  367. But you know what happens to the to our old sins?

  368. It settles to the bottom. I don't care where you baptize

  369. it. Yeah, the water usually goes

  370. downhill, but you could be baptized in the pond.

  371. But I'm going to tell you it'll settle to the bottom.

  372. It becomes dirt in the bottom. It's it's.

  373. Buried in the mud. If you please, come on, church,

  374. Hallelujah. Our sins were buried in the

  375. depths of the sea. And if you look, and if you want

  376. to look that word up, depth, it means the mud.

  377. It goes in the mud. Hallelujah.

  378. Thank God for mud. Thank God for the dirt.

  379. That's where our sins belong. Oh Jesus, Hallelujah.

  380. Thank you, Jesus, Hallelujah. I want to remind you this

  381. morning, Hallelujah. If it was good enough for Jesus,

  382. then it's good enough for naman. Hallelujah, the residue.

  383. I want to talk to you. The residue of your sins, the

  384. residue of everything in life that was.

  385. Dirty before you got baptized. All of that, everything that

  386. you've done wrong, that residue ends up in the depths, That

  387. residue ends up in the water. You don't carry them out or

  388. you're baptized for the remission or the washing away of

  389. your sins. And when you get down, put down

  390. in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the sins stay there.

  391. They don't come up with you. You don't go down a dry center,

  392. come up a wet one. When you found God, you go.

  393. You come down in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and you come

  394. up clean. Come on.

  395. And the residue of all of your past is left in the water.

  396. I'm here to tell somebody that it's not still following you

  397. around. I know that the enemy wants to

  398. make you look back to your past and the devil reminds you of

  399. your past. But Jesus don't remind you of

  400. your past. He buries it.

  401. The depths of the sea. And all of those residue, all of

  402. those things that you have done, all those sins you've committed,

  403. God said I'm burying them where nobody can see them.

  404. Come on, I'm going to put them down in the mud.

  405. I'm going to put them down. It ain't going to be clear for

  406. people to see no more. Come on, This is not standing

  407. out as a notebook for everybody to see.

  408. But I'm burying them where nobody, the devil himself,

  409. cannot dig them up. They're in the depths of the

  410. sea, not to be brought. Up again.

  411. Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah.

  412. Thank you Jesus. So I don't care what you've

  413. done. I don't care if you've been a

  414. murder. I don't care what part of the.

  415. Downside of life you've been on, Come on.

  416. You might have been a gambler. You might have been.

  417. Alcoholic. Come on.

  418. I don't know. I.

  419. Don't know what part of life you.

  420. Was in you may have been a drug addict, but I'm.

  421. Going to tell you the. Residue of that is buried.

  422. Amen. It's no longer.

  423. Brought up. Come on, God.

  424. Ain't going to. Bring it up no more.

  425. Come on. The enemy is the one that comes

  426. to us when we feel so unworthy. How many times you felt?

  427. Unworthy. I felt unworthy sometimes.

  428. To get up here and minister, you know, because I know my past.

  429. You know what? The devil knows my past too.

  430. He's the only one that reminds. Me.

  431. All he can do is remind me. He don't have nothing to prove

  432. for prove it, but he. Going to remind you.

  433. He'll remind you of your lowest points of life when you failed

  434. God. He'll remind you of that over

  435. and over and over again. And if you don't watch it, it'll

  436. drag you down with it. And you become in the.

  437. Depths of the water you be you waddle around in the mud and

  438. think I'm not I'm not really clean.

  439. I've I've done all of these things and these things are

  440. haunting me and they'll haunt you the rest of your life.

  441. But I'm here to tell somebody, when you was baptized in the

  442. name of Jesus, the residue, come on, the residue, The Dirty of

  443. your sin, what's buried, never to be brought up again.

  444. Come on, it's gone. It's forever washed away, never

  445. to be brought up. Again, thank you Jesus.

  446. And if you think it ends. When you become a.

  447. Christian, I want to say no, it's still there.

  448. There's, there is, there is. Still that thing that when in

  449. your. Lowest times you know, not at

  450. church. You come every time, and you.

  451. Feel like you're jumping all the.

  452. Time. Come on.

  453. You may not feel. Like worshipping and running.

  454. But I'm going. To tell you something.

  455. When you come in feeling your. Worst.

  456. When you feel so unworthy. Glory.

  457. You feel like you're not worth all of that.

  458. I want you to know that the residue is in the bottom of the

  459. city. Your sins have been buried.

  460. Sister Jenny, it don't matter. They're gone.

  461. Brother Mike, it's gone. Your sister Brenda.

  462. I know your life. Before and behind.

  463. But I'm going to take something. I know one thing.

  464. The residue is in the bottom. It's been washed.

  465. Away. It's been carried away, can I

  466. say, on Jesus's part, it's ended up in the Dead Sea.

  467. You hear me? I said on Jesus's part, it's

  468. been buried in the depths of the Dead Sea.

  469. Come on, it's Dead Sea. It's where no water flows.

  470. Come on. Everything flows into it, but

  471. nothing flows out of it. Come on, This is where Jesus

  472. wants to see your sins. It's where there's.

  473. Not an outlet. He wants them to stay there.

  474. What a God. We serve this morning.

  475. His name is Jesus, and when we're baptized in that great

  476. name, it cleanses us. Come on, the name of Jesus is a

  477. strong power, and the righteous run into it and they're safe

  478. there. It's away from the devil.

  479. The devil cannot claim. You any longer, Kevin?

  480. Adams don't care how mean you were.

  481. Rotten. He's still rotten.

  482. He's the favorite. Hey, Jesus.

  483. Loves us all. Thank God he does.

  484. There ain't none of us worthy, but He loves us all.

  485. Hallelujah, I'm going to tell you something.

  486. I've watched people fall away. And backslide and they come back

  487. and I've noticed God cleansing all over again.

  488. He re. He reunites the.

  489. Spark that's left there that. Holy Ghost is still there, just

  490. waiting to be. Ignited.

  491. Come on. You, you, you stay with me, I

  492. said. The Holy Ghost is still there,

  493. just waiting to be. Ignited, OH.

  494. Hallelujah. Come on, God hasn't forgot where

  495. you came from. But he's buried everything.

  496. He don't remind you of it. Satan is the only.

  497. One that will. Remind you, and he'll remind.

  498. You in those. Hours when you're down.

  499. When you. Feel low and feel unworthy and

  500. when when you're not. Worshipping like you should,

  501. maybe when you're not praying just exactly like you.

  502. Should. Maybe when you're not going to

  503. church just like you should, I'm going.

  504. To tell you he's still. There he still he you.

  505. You notice that he never leaves you.

  506. Or forsake. So I'll never leave you.

  507. I'll never forsake you. You know, and he don't, it's us

  508. that leaves and sometimes when whenever we leave him that

  509. separates his presence from us. And So what we got to do is find

  510. our way. Back to where we was.

  511. We got to figure out where all this began and we got to find

  512. that place in God where we was and say, OK, God.

  513. Here I am. Lord, I need you today.

  514. Come on, Lord, I know the residue is in the bottom.

  515. God, Oh Lord, I come and ask you, God, to forgive me of my

  516. sins. And when we say that he he's,

  517. he's not forgot the baptism, he's not forgot it.

  518. He's not forgot it. He said, hey, it's all taken

  519. care of you. If you got an advocate you can

  520. go to if. We had to get re baptized every

  521. time we sin. Well, I'm telling.

  522. You. I don't know.

  523. We'd be in baptism every Sunday. Come on.

  524. Yeah. Our our waters would be dirty

  525. back here. We for sure have to clean.

  526. Have to empty. The tub every week and do it

  527. again, you know hey. Let's clean our Baptist.

  528. Right. You know, we've just baptized

  529. somebody and the and the residue went at the bottom.

  530. Better clean this thing up. Come on.

  531. Come on. I'm telling you that you've got

  532. something to look forward to. The residue is buried.

  533. Your past is gone. I know, Song.

  534. It says your sins are gone. You've been set free.

  535. Come on, Church your. Sins are gone.

  536. They're not there. They're buried in the depths of

  537. the sea. Hallelujah.

  538. Oh Jesus. Hallelujah.

  539. Hallelujah, glory, dirty water. Somebody say dirty water, Naman

  540. said. I've got to go down to that

  541. dirty water and dip 7 times and I don't know the Bible don't

  542. give us the story. This says he dipped in seven

  543. times, washed 7 times and he come up clean.

  544. And I got the feeling. That naman was so much.

  545. I'm clean, I'm clean. I'm.

  546. Clean every time he saw, every time there's there's something

  547. happening in the process. There was something that pushed

  548. him to take the next dip, and he found out that dirty water could

  549. make him clean. If I could just somehow get it

  550. across to somebody, that dirty water can make you clean because

  551. it's the residue that's at the bottom.

  552. You know, it settles after a while.

  553. I better leave that alone. Because I want.

  554. Yeah, I want it to be before I get up, but it won't be this

  555. morning. It was.

  556. That much is brown in the bottom, and the rest of it

  557. looked clear. You know how it is.

  558. And the devil, you know what he does.

  559. He comes and tries to stir it up so you can't see anymore what

  560. he's done. The Lord's already.

  561. Done the work. He's already taken care of your

  562. sins. He's put the residue on the

  563. bottom. Thank God that.

  564. Jesus makes them run into the Dead Sea.

  565. Come on, Jesus. Puts them in the Dead Sea.

  566. They're dead when he gets hold of them.

  567. There's there's not. Sin there anymore.

  568. It's gone. He's forgot what you.

  569. He's forgot all about your past. It's gone, never to be brought.

  570. Up the devil. Can't go to the bottom of the

  571. sea. Oh, yeah.

  572. Come on. Thank you.

  573. Jesus. Hallelujah.

  574. Oh God. Oh God.

  575. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah.

  576. He went down. And dipped himself 7 times.

  577. In Jordan, according to the. Saying of the man of God, and

  578. his flesh came again unto the flesh of a little child, and he

  579. was clean for the first time in his life.

  580. For the first time in Naaman's life, he took orders from a

  581. servant. You know what?

  582. If we're ever going to be great, we got to be a servant.

  583. Come on. A minister is a servant, so it

  584. makes us all ministers. You're a minister too.

  585. And we'll never get a blessing until we learn to be a servant.

  586. Come on. We'll, we'll never we'll.

  587. Never be exalted if we're expecting something, but it's

  588. when we say, Lord, I'm yours, Hallelujah.

  589. Take me Lord and use me as you please, Hallelujah.

  590. Allow you Lord, to take my life into your hands and do what you

  591. want to do Thank you Jesus, Hallelujah.

  592. Oh glory, the residue is in the dirt, dirty water, it's amazing

  593. the muddy water that wash clean name it and made him clean.

  594. I remember on the day of Pentecost and then Peter said to

  595. them, repent, be baptized everyone of you in the name of

  596. Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

  597. You shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

  598. Hallelujah, glory, Jesus, your sins are left in the water, sent

  599. downstream, can I say washed away in Micah 719.

  600. He turned again. He will.

  601. Have compassion upon us. He will subdue our iniquities.

  602. Thou will cast all their sins in the.

  603. Depths of the sea. The depths there comes from a

  604. Hebrew word. Which means bottom or place of

  605. mud I. Began to think you know.

  606. Ladies dishes, you know, and most of you and I have got

  607. dishwasher nowadays, but we had five of them in our house, so we

  608. had no need for one. You know it.

  609. Yeah. The dishes are washed and the

  610. residue stays in the water. It reminds us that they were

  611. dirty because it's it's cloudy water, it's dirty.

  612. Water stains sometimes stays even.

  613. Though the dish is clean, I said stains stay sometimes even

  614. though the dish is clean. I want to tell you sometime.

  615. There are stains. That are left in our life that

  616. reminds us of where we came from many times.

  617. Some of those marks. We can never get rid of.

  618. We just outlive them. Come on.

  619. Come on. We've become a prisoner to

  620. Christ and his Kingdom, and there may be a stain there.

  621. But it only proves what we used to be, not what we are.

  622. But the residue of that? Mark is gone.

  623. What caused it is gone. I'm here to tell somebody that

  624. God loves you. I don't care what part of life

  625. you are in or what you have done.

  626. I'm going to tell you. It may leave a mark.

  627. On you. But I'm telling your sins can be

  628. washed away. Come on, they can be.

  629. Washed away. That they can be washed.

  630. Away in the muddy water and you'll be.

  631. Clean forever and ever. Hallelujah.

  632. Hallelujah. I began to think about the

  633. cloudy water. I don't want to gross you out,

  634. but I want to. I want to let you know I

  635. remember those days at home. See I remember when those boys

  636. was growing up. I remember we live in a 2

  637. bedroom house. All three boys slept 1 bed.

  638. And you know why? Because there was a wood stove,

  639. coal stove, either 1. You could burn either one.

  640. I was in the front room of that house and we pile blank blankets

  641. on to keep warm. Well, if there was three of us

  642. in there, it was warmer. You thank to God for brothers

  643. then. And I remember that.

  644. There wasn't a bathroom inside. We had to travel from here to

  645. the road to go to the bathroom. Come on, I know outhouse nobody

  646. ever wants to hear that. Oh my goodness, that's gross.

  647. Hey. First Church had them when I was

  648. a boy. They had they.

  649. Had them out behind the church that buddy.

  650. Seats in them if I. Remember them?

  651. You know why that was? Because you know if you and your

  652. brother both had to go at the same time, you can sit side to

  653. side. My wife's grossing out.

  654. Y'all help her if I'm just talking about old times.

  655. This is real Life OK? If I begin to think about it,

  656. Paula. Like.

  657. I'm I'm going to, I'm going to get, I begin to think about, you

  658. know, whenever it was summertime, it was hot, go take

  659. a bath of the night wouldn't have a.

  660. Bathroom inside. So guess what?

  661. Mama would put water in that tub and she put it.

  662. Outside, in the sun, all. Day and they warm up you wanted

  663. to be #1 first in because there's you know so many going

  664. to take a bath and not one water that's boys mainly yeah so

  665. whenever. If I got out, I left my residue

  666. in. Yeah, it's, it's getting good

  667. back here. It's all right.

  668. Probably happier than we are now.

  669. The second one got in left. That residue.

  670. So there's two residue in there now, poor third one.

  671. Come on, Church, come on, I'm telling you.

  672. Come on, you. You don't understand that your

  673. sins were. Probably dirtier than that.

  674. How much residue was in? Your bathtub when you got.

  675. Your. Baptism.

  676. How much? Dirt had you left?

  677. How many sins had been washed away?

  678. How bad was it? And yet we think, Oh my, no.

  679. One too. No, no, no sex.

  680. That's why everybody takes char now they want to wash it off and

  681. wash it down the drain. But there comes a time in fact,

  682. I I just of course I was on one took bath in the tube.

  683. I I thought last night's well, I'm going to get in that warm

  684. tub get rid of some aches and pains.

  685. Just, you know, sit in there a while.

  686. Hey, I don't care how many baths you get when you crawl in the

  687. tub and get out the waters, Cloud, how come I'm on church?

  688. There's things hanging on us every time we walk.

  689. Through this world every. Day we go to work.

  690. Come home, Brother Jerry, every time you go to Toyota.

  691. And come home, brother. I'm going to tell you I don't

  692. care every. Time you go out and farm or

  693. drive the truck and carry, you know, hall grain every time you

  694. do. Any of that.

  695. If you come home and. You get in the bathtub, get

  696. right back out. There's residue in the there's.

  697. Cloudy water. I don't care how clean you are.

  698. I don't care if you take two or three baths a day.

  699. There is cloudy water. There's residue on us wherever

  700. we go. You know what I think?

  701. God. Is wanting you to know now we

  702. need to recommit our self every day, I said.

  703. We need to. Recommit our self every day.

  704. There shouldn't be a day go by that the holy.

  705. Ghost, don't come on us. I believe.

  706. And some of you men will will. Remember.

  707. But back in the days we went to Ohio to.

  708. Men's retreat and we'd listen to to tapes and things and brother.

  709. Anthony, Megan, I don't know where you.

  710. Remember that one or not? Brother Anthony Megan, a man and

  711. he he. Was he was preaching, he was

  712. talking about his grandpa and said grandpa.

  713. Would come in and stay. All night and he said he'd.

  714. Kind of watch me and for a little bit and he said he.

  715. He said. He said old grandpa would sit

  716. down on the. Chair and he'd say.

  717. OK, Anthony, come here. He say Anthony, he come here and

  718. he said, OK, Anthony, kneel down here.

  719. He say, Anthony, how long has it been since you spoke in tongues,

  720. son? And said man said that old man

  721. would put his hand on my. Head and he said he.

  722. Began to pray and he said OK. Anthony speak in tongues, speak

  723. in tongues, said he would. Not let me loose till I spoke in

  724. tongues. We need to.

  725. Recommit at everyday church. Come on, we need to know that

  726. God is there. I need to know that I got his

  727. Spirit still dwelling on the inside and it's still working on

  728. the outside. I under I got to understand

  729. where I came from. Come on that I still got a

  730. fleshly nature that's in me that I need to get rid.

  731. Of so the water is going to be cloud but the sins is going to

  732. be gone. Hallelujah.

  733. You know you can be the cleanest person in the world.

  734. You can wash 345 times a day just like my wife.

  735. You can do that every day. You can change.

  736. Clothes that many times too and there's still going to be some

  737. rest to do now know of anybody that wants to drink your bath

  738. water? Come on.

  739. Jesus took all the sins of you and me and everybody else.

  740. Glory residue is left in the bottom.

  741. Residue is left in the bottom. Is it getting clearer a little

  742. bit how much it looks kind of mucky?

  743. Can you see the residue in the bottom there?

  744. That's about all I put in there too.

  745. It's had no place to get anymore.

  746. So it's still residue. That lid don't come on reso.

  747. He's up here watching, and the more you shake it, the muddier

  748. it gets. Now I'm here to tell you, and

  749. I'm closing. The more you let the devil shake

  750. you up, the cloudier the water gets.

  751. Open this altar this morning for some of you that you don't feel

  752. as clean as you ought to. There's something about you just

  753. can't shake the feeling off. Even though you've been

  754. baptized, you cannot shake the feeling off that everything

  755. isn't right yet. Maybe it didn't.

  756. Hey, I've been in this all my life, sixty way 60 some odd

  757. years. I don't want to try to figure it

  758. out, but it's it's been a long time.

  759. Nine years old when I repented happened to be at a a little

  760. meeting we're having at home because we couldn't get enough

  761. church back then. People would get together homes

  762. during the week and we'd sing, play music and pray in between

  763. services because we couldn't get enough church.

  764. Now we got all kinds of ways to get there and don't come if we

  765. don't watch it. Something steals our blessing.

  766. Hallelujah, God, I want you to move this morning, sweep across

  767. this congregation. God did Lord, some way somehow

  768. speak to a heart this morning, God, somebody that's long in God

  769. for the feeling to be clean. Lord, I pray you would move

  770. today. And Lord, speak to that

  771. individual. Let them know, God, that the

  772. water is muddy, but the sins are washed away.

  773. They don't have to deal with Satan anymore.

  774. You don't have to listen to him because the sins are gone.

  775. I've been set free. Oh, glory, how they go.

  776. Could we stand? Thank you Jesus.

  777. Muddy Waters. Oh glory.

  778. I don't want anybody this morning to have to pray alone.

  779. Nobody should have to pray alone.

  780. Thank you, Jesus. Oh God.

  781. God moved this morning. Altars open this morning.

  782. It's for the Jerry Sings.
