  1. Thank you, Jesus, Praise the Lord, feel his presence in here

  2. tonight. Hallelujah.

  3. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus.

  4. Could we lift our hands just a moment.

  5. Let's just come on, let's, let's cry out to him a little bit.

  6. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus.

  7. Thank you, Jesus, man. Man, give honor to my pastor, my

  8. son. I'm privileged to set under my

  9. son, man, so glad for him, proud of him.

  10. God's using them. That's a great thing.

  11. So happy to have my beautiful wife with me tonight, man.

  12. There's been half of me missing for a while, so hopefully

  13. tonight it'll all come together. Man, appreciate her.

  14. It's been hard to kind of see her go through all of this and

  15. and she's been part of my life for over well 60 some years.

  16. So I'm appreciate her being here tonight.

  17. She come by faith. She's still she's pray for

  18. strength. That's what she needs strength.

  19. Amen. I'm going to be turning to 1st

  20. Corinthians chapter 3 and I'm going to read this first in the

  21. NCV, First NCV, and then I'll go to the King James.

  22. Hallelujah. God been dealing with me a while

  23. back in August, maybe even before that was before that I

  24. think kind of been putting pieces together and felt like

  25. God just led me this way tonight.

  26. Amen. First Corinthians chapter 3 and

    1 Corinthians 3 chapter mention

  27. verse one through three brothers and sisters in the past, I could

  28. not talk to you as I talked to spiritual people.

  29. I had to talk to you as I would to people without the Spirit

  30. babes in Christ. The teaching I gave you was like

  31. milk, not solid food, because you were not able to take solid

  32. food. And even now you are not ready.

  33. You're still not spiritual because there is jealousy and

  34. quarreling among you. And this shows that you are not

  35. spiritual. You're acting like the people of

  36. the world. Now let me read that in the King

  37. James Version. And I, brethren, could not speak

  38. into you as into spiritual, but as into carnal, even as unto

  39. babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and

  40. not with meat, for hitherto you were not able to bear it neither

  41. yet now are you able, for you are yet carnal.

  42. For whereas there is among you envying and strife and

  43. divisions. Are you not carnal and walk as

  44. men. Heavenly Father, I thank you for

  45. the word. Ask your Lord that you would

  46. move in the sanctuary this evening is I feel your presence

  47. in this place. I pray, Lord, that your glory

  48. would come down and surround us tonight that your presence, God

  49. would seek every heart out and every soul.

  50. Oh God, I need your anointing. I need your help.

  51. Lord, speak through me. God.

  52. I'm just a container. The message is yours.

  53. Move. I pray, Holy Ghost, right now in

  54. that wonderful name of Jesus, Amen and Amen.

  55. You can be seated. I want to speak tonight on this

  56. subject, the wilted plant. The wilted plant, it's been back

  57. a while. It was kind of the latter part

  58. of August, I believe the picture that I saved said and and we've

  59. got a plant. God had two plants actually

  60. hangs on our porch in the front and I would water those every

  61. day. If you didn't.

  62. I don't know if you can see that or not.

  63. I walked out my door and it was like the 28th of August.

  64. It was hot outside. And you don't forget to water

  65. this plant every day. If you don't, it looks like

  66. that. So I'd pour water into it every

  67. day. And you know, this time I

  68. thought, oh, oh, I might have waited too long.

  69. And I watered it and it came back.

  70. I don't know you. I don't know where he's got the

  71. other. And up there, if you can,

  72. there's a little bit difference there that has taken back a

  73. little more distance. But I want to tell you what just

  74. a little bit of drink can do for you.

  75. Hey, man, the wilted plant. I I began to take a look and

  76. remembering that I was once thirsty and got a drink.

  77. Amen. And ever since then I found out

  78. that I need water that I won't thirst.

  79. It's amazing what a drink will do when you're thirsty.

  80. There's days that go by that I don't need much water and then

  81. there's other days that I'm really thirsty and I need a

  82. drink. If you're a diabetic, you

  83. understand real well because there's a days that you

  84. especially if you've got high sugar, you're doing this number

  85. you're drinking. Amen.

  86. So what I want to do first, I have no idea with what I'm going

  87. to do with all these notes, but I've got a lot of notes and and

  88. scripture, but I feel like the Lord has led me this way for a

  89. purpose to speak to somebody tonight in this house.

  90. I want to define wilted, if you please, Webster's New Collegiate

  91. Dictionary in 1953. I tend to OK, I'm yeah, I know

  92. I'm old or older, and I tend to go back to the old dictionaries.

  93. I like the older ones. I'm sorry, I've looked at the

  94. new ones, but I feel like that sometimes they have changed the

  95. meaning of words that should not be changed.

  96. So if, if you want to take a look, I've got, I think I've got

  97. one dictionary that's in 1938. I've got them in 1940s, nineteen

  98. 53. And I tend to go back to those

  99. olders. I like to move up through them

  100. and see how they've changed it. And I'm going to tell you, I

  101. believe that we have changed things in the church.

  102. Sometimes I think we've let some things in and maybe we shouldn't

  103. have been. Thank God that these youth and

  104. people been to the NYC and I was, you didn't know it, but I

  105. was there with you. Really thank God for Sister Don

  106. McGee that bought me this little thing.

  107. It's a magnifier several years ago and that thing has been used

  108. before 7:00 every night, Sister McGee.

  109. And I'd make sure we had everything, you know, we'd ate

  110. and everything. And we'd, I'd set this thing up

  111. on the coffee table in our living room and, and I'd open

  112. that magnifier up and set that cell phone behind there and it

  113. blows it up to about 13 inches. And so I sat there and watching

  114. and had church with y'all, and that same spirit that you felt

  115. there was real because it was making it all the way up here,

  116. and I still felt it. It is wonderful that God knows

  117. nothing about distance. You can pray here and somebody

  118. in California can be healed because of your prayer.

  119. That's the God I serve. He's real and he's wonderful and

  120. he's such a great God. Hallelujah, Webster says.

  121. I looked through four or five and then and I grabbed a hold of

  122. this 1953 and I thought it pretty well just said the same

  123. thing the rest of them did. So I used it.

  124. It meets to lose freshness and to become flaccid as a plan on a

  125. dry day or when cut to grow weak or everybody said faint, faint,

  126. I don't know. But I feel guy like God is so

  127. moving and I feel like that that we're beginning to see God do

  128. some things in our church and I love that.

  129. But I feel like we've been through a stage of being faint.

  130. Oh my feel that Hallelujah. And then this dictionary goes

  131. on. I like what it does because what

  132. it does is it goes on and then it begins to talk about

  133. individuals in this place, and it says that to grow weak or

  134. faint as individual, all right, wilt for shame and grief, or to

  135. lose courage or spirit. Then it takes another route, It

  136. says, to wilt before an accuser's gaze, to be lower in

  137. spirit, force or vigor. A state of depression that

  138. pretty well spells out Amen, wilted Hallelujah.

  139. Our impatient plant is what that is.

  140. Had to be watered every day or it would droop and become faint.

  141. And I feel like tonight that God even spoke, he spoiled.

  142. In fact, he spoke to me that very day, Sister McGee, I I went

  143. out and took a picture. So what in the world you doing?

  144. I said something's on my mind and I come back in and I went to

  145. sit down at my desk and I began to write because I felt like God

  146. spoke to me. And at different times since

  147. then, there's been little things and pieces added and God's

  148. added, believe it or not, to this old fragile mind.

  149. It's vintage mind, if you please, a man.

  150. And I feel like that as Christians, we need a drink.

  151. And I hope I can get a Amen every day.

  152. I don't know about you, but I worry if I don't feel the Lord

  153. every day, Brother Reese, if I don't feel his presence every

  154. day, then I'm going to be in my prayer room praying because I

  155. want to feel him. I want to know he's still there

  156. with me. Hallelujah.

  157. Hallelujah. Somebody shout Amen, Laurie.

  158. I would be worried if I didn't feel him every day.

  159. I didn't know he was there. Yes.

  160. I feel like right now we have some people in here that are

  161. like my will did plant that there's not much of life left in

  162. them. Come on now, help me out.

  163. They are spiritually drained. Their limp, if you please.

  164. Can't hardly lift their hands anymore.

  165. Don't feel like worshipping. Can't hardly motivate.

  166. Come on now. Hallelujah.

  167. No stamina, no energy. Is anybody there?

  168. No stress? Why?

  169. Under stress? And you need a drink.

  170. Does any of these things fit you?

  171. How many's been there Sometime in the last year?

  172. Whoa. But I'm thankful that I see some

  173. change in the church that God has began to give drink.

  174. Hallelujah. All you got to do is walk in to

  175. this church and you can feel that it is evident.

  176. Hallelujah. I'm glad to see hands Gore up

  177. because I want to take oh glory, I got to get this lid off of

  178. here. I want to tell you something.

  179. You might thought I was just doing this for me, but I've done

  180. it for purpose because you know what I'm going to tell somebody

  181. tonight. If you can't lift your hands,

  182. you can never get a drink. I have to lift that up to get a

  183. drink. And I'm going to tell you, if

  184. you ever to get expect to get a drink, you're going to have to

  185. raise your hands because you can't drink and have your hands

  186. down. Nobody's going to bottle feed

  187. you. Honey, if you want this thing,

  188. you're going to have to get your hands up.

  189. Come on. If you want a drink, put your

  190. hands up. Hallelujah.

  191. Hallelujah. It is said that a human can only

  192. do without water. About 3 days and 85°

  193. temperatures. How long has it been since you

  194. had a good drink? Oh, glory Hallelujah.

  195. Glory Hallelujah. You know, I Yeah, I've done

  196. this. I I can't even tell you when

  197. this. It's been a long, long time ago.

  198. It's been set in my house forever.

  199. You know what we do? This is where we're at church.

  200. If we're not careful, we go to get the little picture.

  201. Come on, man, if I can just get to church and just get me a

  202. little ring, come on. If I could just get a little of

  203. something, I think I'd feel better.

  204. And it's all right. But if you don't make it back to

  205. the next service, you're going to have to run out of water.

  206. Come on. I don't know about you, but I

  207. won't be anointed. Come on.

  208. I want to feel the presence of God.

  209. I want to know that He's mine. I want to know He's my savior.

  210. I want to know He's still in my heart.

  211. I don't know about you, but I need a drink every day.

  212. Oh Jesus. Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

  213. Hallelujah. I'm telling you, some of you are

  214. going through some things right now.

  215. The longer you are in the heat of your problem, the more you

  216. need to drink. I'm afraid right now that

  217. there's some dehydrated to the place that right now you need an

  218. infusion, not just a drink. See, See, I, I thought about

  219. this and I thought, you know, sometimes we don't need the

  220. little one. We need an infusion.

  221. We need a drink. Yeah, you do it, brother.

  222. Alex, I got a faucet up there I used several years ago.

  223. There should be a picture someplace.

  224. I preached about this one day because it's something that my

  225. Mama drilled in me and in me. My dad, he done the same thing

  226. when they was praying and when they was testifying.

  227. When Mama was testifying. Not many times go by that Mama

  228. did say, hey, I want to get under the spout where the glory

  229. pours out. And in the first church she did

  230. because she drilled a hole in the floor right where she sit

  231. with her high heels of stomping the devil.

  232. You know, we need some people in here that said I'm going to get

  233. a drink no matter what happens. Mama was going to worship

  234. whether anybody else worship or not.

  235. And she began to stomp that same foot until she drilled a hole in

  236. that floor. Oh, let somebody get excited and

  237. stomp the O devil. Let somebody get excited and

  238. worship. I don't know about you, but I

  239. went under the spout where the glory pours out.

  240. I wanted to bring the garden hose, but I decided to leave it

  241. at home. I have been guilty of having a

  242. blast of water and just kind of throwing it in water and y'all

  243. sprinkling you a little. I've done that before, but I

  244. knew tonight a sprinkle wasn't going to be enough.

  245. Come on, come on. I got thinking if I could just

  246. figure it out and just bring my hose and hook it up to the

  247. spigot, run it inside. It's a spigot.

  248. Back in my day. I'm old school, you know, and,

  249. and if I could just turn it on when you needed a drink.

  250. Come on, if I could just turn it on and spray that thing up the

  251. air and if we could just each one just take our turn.

  252. Come on. If you want a drink, you got to

  253. get your hands up. You can't get a drink without

  254. getting your hands up. And then somebody's holding the

  255. hose for you. It's, it's, it's a sad thing,

  256. but you know, we're living in a day now when we sat beside

  257. people in church and we don't know what they're going for.

  258. And I began to think maybe we need to pass a little can out a

  259. little bit. And, you know, there may be

  260. setting somebody close to you needs a little drink.

  261. Give it a look. Give her a drink.

  262. Come on. And I wonder what it'd be like

  263. if somebody that's already full, somebody said beside you, huh,

  264. sore behind you, shouting Hallelujah and about to have a

  265. conniption if we just give them a drink of this a little bit

  266. more because my cup runneth over.

  267. Come on. That's how other people get

  268. touched. It's hurts.

  269. It's when your cup runs over. Oh, when they're under the spout

  270. where the glory pours out. When they're setting beside

  271. somebody that's on fire for God, when they need somebody to give

  272. them a drink, give them a little drink.

  273. Oh, Jesus, they see, they see this small one just for somebody

  274. just needs a just a small drink, just for a little bit, you know,

  275. just have you, you know, you've seen the waiters that come by.

  276. God, we'll just stop it. All good news for you.

  277. You done. Got it.

  278. But we'll just let it run over tonight.

  279. Hey, I get by with that. I'm Bishop, but I'm going to

  280. take something. This little gal received a whole

  281. ghost. NYC.

  282. You know what, We'd have a lot more people that get the Holy

  283. Ghost right in church on their pews if somebody would just

  284. start running over somebody's cup.

  285. We need to top off some cups. We need to pour a little water

  286. where it's already fresh. Yeah, you want that?

  287. Don't you see? I'm a little old fashioned.

  288. I can't help it. I was born that way and had a

  289. relapse. Telling you what, First Church I

  290. remembered didn't know him, but they came to our church on the

  291. night that I was kind of wrapped up in some of this stuff, you

  292. know, and I was preaching about the joy bucket overflowing.

  293. First Church, Some of you'll remember that we church wasn't

  294. full then, but we had a good crowd that night.

  295. Man, this young evangelist and I didn't know him from nowhere and

  296. his young wife come in to worship with us.

  297. I began to preach about the joy bucket Hallelujah that some of

  298. us needed to drink from that joy bucket.

  299. We need to be close to the well and draw water and just pour it

  300. on her head at the end of the service.

  301. The Lord tell told me said take your joy bucket.

  302. Put the rope on it. Just put it up here and let

  303. people come up and and kneel down there before that bucket

  304. and let them start. Was anything in it, Bishop?

  305. No, there was no water in it. But yes, there was water in it.

  306. It was a Holy Ghost. It wasn't, it wasn't, it wasn't,

  307. it wasn't Pastor McGee at that time.

  308. It wasn't, it wasn't me. It wasn't because of me, but it

  309. was because God give a word and he said you obey me.

  310. So I did it and, and our people began to line up and they began

  311. to take that fucking and, and directly the Holy Ghost started

  312. moving in that place. And I could see this evangelist

  313. wife that was she was sitting back there and they were like,

  314. something wrong with this. This guy ain't all put together

  315. right? And I'm not, but that's all

  316. right. God's chose peculiar people.

  317. So I'm one of them. I fit in so directly, Sister

  318. McGee, I guarantee she remembers it.

  319. That little old, that little old lady, that little old evangelist

  320. wife, she finally was getting into it back here and everybody

  321. getting blessed by this empty bucket pouring on their head.

  322. So she began to make her way up, making sure, no, you know, I

  323. don't want to be crazy. But she got up there, honey, She

  324. knelt down. And about the time she knelt

  325. down and got a hold of that bucket, she started having a

  326. Holy Ghost fit. Kneeling down, she began to pour

  327. that bucket down and she set it back down and she'd do it again.

  328. Honey, you couldn't get a loose from the bucket.

  329. You know why? That bucket was full of the Holy

  330. Ghost. It had nothing to do with me.

  331. But when God says do something, I'm telling you he'll put

  332. something in the bucket. If he can fill bottles with

  333. water and they turn into wine, why can't he put Holy Ghost in a

  334. bucket and let it overflow where everybody can get a drink?

  335. Hallelujah. Hell, Glory, 24 minutes ain't

  336. gone. No worries yet, Glory.

  337. I'm What I'm working on is people to dehydrate.

  338. I want to give them an infusion. I want to see you come in here.

  339. Nobody has to say would you lift your hand?

  340. I want to see you come in the door and say come on.

  341. I want to see him come out of the prayer room again.

  342. Pastor McGee, hands already raised, already worship and God,

  343. they done got a drink. They got a a drink in the back

  344. and now they're going to give somebody an infusion.

  345. They're going to run somebody's cuff over.

  346. Thank you Jesus, I went under the spout where the glory pours

  347. at as I began to study about this and God began to deal with

  348. me. A little while after that, Lord

  349. woke me up in the middle of the night and he said, I know you've

  350. read this, but you need to go back to church and get Max

  351. Lucado's book that says come thirsty.

  352. So I read that book through again and there come a stir in

  353. me church. What the problem is we don't

  354. come to church thirsty enough. In this in this book he writes

  355. about the scripture I read in the new century version and he

  356. has this to say. He says, are they saved?

  357. Well, yes, they were saved because he addresses them as

  358. brothers and sisters, right, OK. He, he must consider them to be

  359. God's children, a man heaven bound, saved.

  360. But spiritual, but spiritual, somebody say but spiritual.

  361. I like that glory, but spiritual, Are they really

  362. spiritual? And he uses something that's

  363. just, I loved it so much. He used something and he says

  364. they're plugged in. Hang on to this, he said they're

  365. plugged in. Let me tell you something,

  366. there's some people that comes through these doors that plugs

  367. their self in. But I like what he said next.

  368. He said they may be plugged in, but they're not flipped on.

  369. I mean, you can look the part, you can, you can dress the part

  370. and you can go through the motions.

  371. But if you're not turned on, there's nothing happening.

  372. There's no feeling. Come on, come on.

  373. I'm sorry. But when I really get with it,

  374. everybody knows I'm plugged in and I'm flipped on because I'm,

  375. I'm in, in the motion. Honey, come on, I'm moving.

  376. I'm not sitting still. Honey, when electricity hits

  377. you, you going to be doing stuff.

  378. Come on. When the power of the Holy Ghost

  379. gets on you, you going to move because Acts 1 today, when you

  380. receive the Holy Ghost, ye you shall, everybody said, you

  381. shall, you shall. Come on, shout it to the devil.

  382. You shall receive power. Thank God for the Holy Ghost.

  383. You need to flip it on tonight. You may be plugged in, but you

  384. need to turn it on. It needs some.

  385. It needs some excitement, it needs some moving power.

  386. It needs to shock you a little bit.

  387. Somebody needs to know that you got a hold of something that you

  388. can't turn loose up. Lord, Hallelujah, I know you all

  389. don't want me to leave this church tonight, ain't you?

  390. So you come by for church and flip it on.

  391. Thank you, Jesus, Hallelujah. So you know what?

  392. Sometimes all it would need is for somebody to flip the switch.

  393. Pastor even talked about it some, I think a week or so ago

  394. maybe it was. I know he talked, he talked

  395. about it, and we used to see it in the first two churches.

  396. There was no problem. Every time you'd be vacuuming,

  397. you vacuum that floor and you go.

  398. I'll be paying Brother Freddie, Sister Sheila.

  399. We send them many a lady dance their hair down.

  400. And it was, it was like, you know what?

  401. They were so infused. They didn't care.

  402. And they kept on carrying on. They kept on shouting the glory

  403. down. You know why they had the switch

  404. on. We need to come in church and

  405. flip the switch. Honey, we need to show the devil

  406. the door so you get out. I'm fixing to have electricity

  407. in this place. I'm fixing to have a Holy Ghost

  408. igniting in here. Oh Jesus, I used I used to love

  409. sweep the floor and hear a plane.

  410. Then go a little bit and plane said, boy, somebody really lost

  411. some here. They might have lost the Bobby

  412. pins, but they got a drink. Thank you, Mariah.

  413. I just kind of noticed what she's done with that.

  414. You know, that's what most people do with their watering.

  415. Can they shut it, set it down between them, Never get a drink

  416. of it, You know, just never give it.

  417. Nobody else. Lord, no, don't get.

  418. Hey, I brought that water for me.

  419. You need to share it. Come on, you.

  420. If you've got an overflowing of the Holy Ghost, why don't you

  421. share it with somebody? Brother Dakota needs a Holy

  422. Ghost. Told me a while ago.

  423. He wanted it. You know, I can just get this

  424. thing to work like that bucket and just pour it out on him.

  425. Like that anointing, the rundown, the Aaron's beard, come

  426. on. If I could, if I could just get,

  427. if I could just get some anointing in here that would run

  428. down on somebody's lips. And they flipped the switch.

  429. They could receive the Holy Ghost just that quick because it

  430. was by the laying on of hands that they received it.

  431. They called for Peter and they go up and lay hands on them and

  432. they'd receive it. Come on church, you know why?

  433. Because they were already filled up and all they need to do when

  434. they just go and go pray for somebody in the name of Jesus

  435. and they start speaking in heaven.

  436. Oh yes, Hallelujah. See, I've always said pastor

  437. knows it. I've, I've, I've always said

  438. this. The only thing that we can take

  439. with us from this life is people.

  440. There's no armored cars in the funeral possession.

  441. Nobody's got their, their bank bag with them.

  442. You know what I like? I like it.

  443. You know, the Lord really looks upon the Saints, you know, as

  444. they die. Precious.

  445. Yeah. Precious are the Saints who died

  446. in the Lord. Precious.

  447. Precious. I like it because they may not

  448. have a watering can, but I've noticed something about going

  449. and visiting somebody that's passed from this life that's

  450. been filled with the Holy Ghost all their life.

  451. Seems like even though maybe they don't fix it that way, I

  452. don't think they can. But you know, Mama's face and

  453. all that had been through all that pain of cancer, laying

  454. there, dying with it for months. Think about 1995.

  455. My mother made her last trip to Santa Claus camp, and I will

  456. never forget it. Mama was running around the

  457. outside of that camp because it was open air outside, just had a

  458. roof over it. She was running around that

  459. thing wasn't very long after that.

  460. She couldn't hardly get up in our sister McGee in our van when

  461. I'd go to pick her up for church.

  462. And I knew right then there's something wrong with Mama

  463. because Mama's about to crazy as I am when it comes to worship.

  464. She going to worship no matter. Hallelujah, Mama going to do it.

  465. And Mama couldn't hardly get up in the van.

  466. But I'm going to tell you something I won't ever forget.

  467. And I know when they they put Mama in that casket, she laid up

  468. here in shorts Funeral Home. That one thing I remember Sister

  469. McGee, when I walked by there, I don't know, maybe it's just me.

  470. Maybe nobody else saw. But I saw a smile on Mama's

  471. face. You know why?

  472. Because she smiled ever since she got filled with the Holy

  473. Ghost when I was about 3 years old, when I was about to die.

  474. And Mama said, I give him to you, Lord, if you will heal him,

  475. I'll serve you for the rest of my life.

  476. And my Mama, she took on God as her savior.

  477. Hallelujah. And since that day, I never seen

  478. a smile leave Mama's face. I don't care what kind of shape

  479. she was in. I don't care what kind of day

  480. she was in. Mama was smiling.

  481. Come on. She always had a word of

  482. encouragement for somebody she could talk to.

  483. A fence post. I can do that, too, Glory.

  484. Hallelujah. I'm not ashamed of it either.

  485. That's all right, Glory. I'm glad.

  486. I'm glad that I don't meet strangers.

  487. Come on, Hallelujah, Church. We need to get where we don't.

  488. We don't see strangers. We ought to see them.

  489. Hey, this is somebody. If I could just flip the switch

  490. that God could do something great right now, as I'm talking

  491. Horry and Mama was that kind of person.

  492. So I don't know. I don't know.

  493. Some of you were there. I don't know where you seen that

  494. smile on Mama's face, but I did. And I don't think you could wipe

  495. it off. They could have probably tried

  496. to soul that thing up a certain way and it wouldn't work.

  497. It'd probably go right back because that's where it was

  498. stuck. Come on, church.

  499. Hallelujah. I better get going.

  500. Hallelujah. Thank you.

  501. Jesus, we need the church to come thirsty.

  502. Hallelujah. I'm going to tell you there's

  503. one thing I don't want to do. I don't want to leave anybody

  504. behind. Don't leave.

  505. Don't leave your partner in a fire.

  506. Don't leave him. Stay beside him.

  507. Make sure he's going to be all right.

  508. Glory. There's been many one that's got

  509. killed like that. But leaving somebody behind,

  510. wouldn't you sure that he's going to make it or not?

  511. I'm going to tell you we need to start doing that in the church.

  512. We ought to act like there's a fire and and, and we don't need

  513. to let nobody get lost in that fire.

  514. Nobody to get lost in that heat. Come on.

  515. Nobody to get so thirsty that that they die of thirst.

  516. Come on. We ought to give them a drink.

  517. Oh, Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus.

  518. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

  519. Hallelujah. I don't want to leave anybody

  520. behind, but I'm going to tell you.

  521. I'm going to tell you something. I'm going to tell somebody

  522. something right now. I've been waking up through the

  523. night right now. And I feel in my spirit to pray

  524. for some of you because I'm afraid of your spirituality.

  525. I'm not sure. I'm not sure, Sister Sheila,

  526. that it's enough. Come on.

  527. I'm not. I'm not sure that you've got

  528. enough to go. Come on.

  529. Hey, if that spirit dwells in you, that dwell in Christ,

  530. raised him from the dead, it'll quicken your mortal body.

  531. Hey, if you want to leave this place, you got to have the Holy

  532. Ghost to leave. Come on.

  533. That's the spirit that resurrects you.

  534. Come on. If it's able to resurrect you,

  535. don't you think it's able to move on?

  536. Somebody next door to you. Come on.

  537. Somebody that, that that's sitting there all drugged down

  538. and discouraged and troubled, you need to give them a drink.

  539. Flip the switch on, honey. Come on.

  540. Let the Holy Ghost use you. Let it speak through you.

  541. Jesus. Hallelujah.

  542. We need to come to church with thirst and go home hydrated.

  543. I said hydrated. We need to go home hydrated.

  544. Hallelujah. Oh glory.

  545. See Max says this. He says, you know, you know,

  546. people come to church and you may have you, you may, you may

  547. have God in your heart, but you may not have given your whole

  548. heart to God. You can have him in your heart

  549. and not give him your all. Come on, I don't know about you,

  550. but I've got everything just all right.

  551. And I feel like I'm perfect. I still got some work to do.

  552. He's still working on me. Makes me what I ought to be.

  553. Yeah. Come on.

  554. I think maybe we need to sing that song.

  555. Just to remind us sometime we ain't got it all together yet.

  556. Come on, I don't know about you, but there's times I need a drink

  557. and there's times that I almost feel like I need somebody to.

  558. My wife done that back in 2022. I needed to drink of something.

  559. I went to sleep and didn't wake up.

  560. I I couldn't tell you what. There's nothing, period, she

  561. said. My legs was kicking, all of

  562. that. I didn't.

  563. I can't tell you I would. I didn't know nothing.

  564. And she began to pour that little bottle of glucose in me

  565. is God think she got it down. I carry them because I'm a

  566. number one diabetic. And if I get low, if I get too

  567. low and it's not one to come up, I drink one of these, It'll come

  568. up. My wife poured the first one

  569. down, got another and was pouring the next one down.

  570. And when I woke up, I seen this beautiful face looking down on

  571. me. And when my wife it was.

  572. Who was that brother? Kevin Cruz.

  573. Tyler Cruz. Yeah, Kevin, we wish.

  574. Brother Tyler was looking down on me and he smiled real big and

  575. he looked at me as normal as he could ever look.

  576. And he said, Bishop, I'm giving you some mashed potatoes.

  577. So I go ahead and give them mine.

  578. I'll take them. You know what?

  579. Thank God for people in the medical field that still got the

  580. Holy Ghost, that still got the power of God resting in them.

  581. And I believe that that night, that one brother, Tyler Cruz

  582. hooked me up. There was something in there

  583. just besides this. He flipped the switch and he

  584. said, hey, this is my Bishop. I, I'm saying in my own words,

  585. he probably wouldn't sit that way.

  586. I, he, he's, I'm. I'm just not ready to let loose

  587. of him yet. Come on, Church, come on.

  588. I don't know about you, but I, I've got some people in here.

  589. I feel that way. Come on, I've got some that

  590. slipped out the doors, Brother Mason, that that I'm not ready

  591. to turn loose yet and I'm still praying every day, even the mid,

  592. even in the 3:00 in the morning when God wakes me up.

  593. Brother Freddie, I'm still praying for those.

  594. You know why they started here. This is where they repented,

  595. received the Holy Ghost, we're baptized in Jesus name and I'm

  596. still praying for them. There's many of them that's

  597. still in this area. They just need a drink.

  598. Are we going to give them a drink or let them die?

  599. How many hours of prayer is it going to take?

  600. I don't know. Sometimes it takes 23 years, but

  601. thank God, my daughter said here.

  602. She's living proof that God answers prayer even after 23

  603. years of prayer. I've got up a minute, died, and

  604. went to my office in the Parsonage and began to pray for

  605. my daughter. I've even called her at that

  606. time because I felt like something was going on.

  607. I need to call her. Come on, Church, we need that

  608. feeling back. Come on.

  609. You call it discernment. You'd call it whatever you want,

  610. but I'm telling you, we need that feeling.

  611. My mom and daddy, I can remember getting us up to 3:00 in the

  612. morning and coming in and are speaking in tongues.

  613. Daddy says son get dressed. We got to go pray for somebody.

  614. I feel God, I feel, I feel in the Lord.

  615. Somebody needs us. He knew right where he was

  616. going. We go and we pray the rest of

  617. the night and I go to school the next day.

  618. But guess what, Daddy didn't leave till they was all right

  619. until God answered prayer. He stayed there and prayed.

  620. How long are we willing to pray? Glory, thank you Jesus.

  621. Truth is eyes up. 3:00 this morning I was in my office

  622. praying. I was praying for this service

  623. tonight. I'm tired of going in feeling

  624. dead and dry. I wanted a refreshing drink.

  625. Come on, I want a cool drink of water.

  626. I don't know about you, but I want something refreshing

  627. that'll wake me up and set me on my feet and start me on my way

  628. again. I want to be where the power is.

  629. I want to find Jesus's seat. Man, hurry up.

  630. Bishop long winded Co Lewis said this.

  631. He said Christ says give me all. He said I don't want so much of

  632. your time and so much of your money and so much of your work.

  633. I want you. He said I have not come to

  634. torment your natural self, but to kill it.

  635. My flesh needs to be killed and let the Spirit run deep.

  636. Lord, he said, no half measures are any good.

  637. I don't want to cut off a branch here and a branch there.

  638. I want to have the tree cut down.

  639. Hand over the whole natural self, all of the desires which

  640. you think wicked, the whole outfit, He says.

  641. I'll give you a new self instead.

  642. In fact, I'll give you myself. My own will shall become your

  643. yours. Myself shall become yours.

  644. Glory. That's what we need.

  645. We need that. We need that.

  646. Hallelujah, oh glory Hallelujah. I want to turn to Saint John 14

  647. chapter. I'm trying y'all Hallelujah,

  648. Saint John the 14th chapter. I want to read just A7 14th and

  649. I want to read 17 to 18. I'm going to jump down to 20.

  650. Even the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because

  651. it seeth him not, neither knoweth him, but you know him,

  652. for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you See, we got to

  653. have the Holy Ghost in us before we can flip it on.

  654. Have you ever heard somebody? Have you ever heard a minister

  655. get up and say come on y'all, let's pray, flip it on, Come on.

  656. If I'm supposed to obey my pastor and he tells me to raise

  657. and start. Come on, because in obeying him,

  658. I'm obeying God. Come on.

  659. If your pastor tells you to give somebody a drink, you better

  660. give it. Come on.

  661. Hallelujah. Well, glory, Hallelujah, Jesus.

  662. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus.

  663. I will not leave you comfortless.

  664. Jesus is speaking here. I will come to you now.

  665. Verse 20. At that day he shall know that I

  666. am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

  667. It works that way. It's the Holy Ghost.

  668. If you've got the Holy Ghost, you've got Christ in you, the

  669. hope of glory. Come on, I said, you've got the

  670. hope of glory if you've got the Holy Ghost dwelling in you, but

  671. without it, you don't have a hope.

  672. Glory, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, glory.

  673. Luke 13 verse #7 Then said he and to the dresser of his

  674. vineyard, behold, these three years I've come seeking fruit on

  675. this fig tree and find none. Cut it down.

  676. Why come earth at the ground? He said this.

  677. You're just wasting time. You're wasting the ground.

  678. It's idle because there's nothing good on it.

  679. Come on, church, every time we come through these doors, there

  680. ought to be something good come out of this service.

  681. Come on, we if we don't receive nothing, it's our fault.

  682. It's not God. God does not change.

  683. He's still here every time we walk through the doors.

  684. Hallelujah. I don't want to be idle.

  685. What Jesus is saying, He said you're wasting ground.

  686. You, you, there ain't no sense of covering the ground with this

  687. thing. Just cut it down.

  688. Get rid of it. Now I'm, I'm fixing to get down

  689. to business here and I may not finish this part.

  690. I don't know. I want to get down to the nuts

  691. and the bolts that cause you to will.

  692. Maybe it's a trial, maybe it's a test, but I want you to know in

  693. all these things, we've got a scripture and we've got a verse

  694. First Peter one and seven says that the trial of your faith

  695. being much more precious. Come on, it's a trial, but it's

  696. precious, more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be

  697. tried with fire, might be found unto pray.

  698. They said pray, pray and honor and glory at the appearing of

  699. Jesus Christ. So our prayer and our worship is

  700. worth something. It's more precious than gold.

  701. When God sees you lifting your hands, he said, man, they didn't

  702. want to drink, so he pours you out a drink.

  703. Oh God, or it may be sickness. Luke 418 The Spirit of the Lord

  704. is upon me. Jake here talk about Jesus

  705. because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor.

  706. He has sent me, He's talking, He has sent me to heal the broken

  707. hearted to preach deliverers to the captives and the receiving

  708. of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

  709. Come on, church Lord, we need to get our water cans out.

  710. Come on, we need to get the water cans out.

  711. We need to score down the aisle. And when we empty this thing, we

  712. need to get the other. We need to walk down the aisles

  713. again. We need to pour a bunch of Holy

  714. Ghost on him. Some refreshing on Kennedy.

  715. She's been sick. These these kids have been sick.

  716. So they they need a refreshing drink.

  717. And I don't care how many how many years you've been in.

  718. You need a drink. You need a drink.

  719. You need a drink. I said you need a drink.

  720. Need a drink. Healing.

  721. Deliverance. Yeah.

  722. Come on. We need a drink.

  723. Yeah. Need a drink.

  724. Need a healing right here, a girl, a girl y'all felt funny.

  725. If the God just healed her just like that, then the bad that I

  726. turned upside down. But you know what he's able to

  727. do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think it

  728. don't say that we can think. It says all we think Maya wants

  729. a drink. Ray needs a drink with the kind

  730. of people Brother Mason, you know, works with all week and

  731. has to control. He needs a drink, needs a drink

  732. because she got to listen to it when he gets home.

  733. These two, these two need to drink.

  734. Come on, they wonder and spout where the glory pours at pastor

  735. and sister Don needs a drink. Come on, come on.

  736. We need a flood around here. Come on, we need a flood of the

  737. Holy Ghost. Come on, we need a move of God

  738. that will move us to the place that we can't go home.

  739. Come on. So strong that we got to stay

  740. and pray half the night. You better get ready because

  741. hey, hey, it's it's told 2009 twice that's going to happen.

  742. Be people that be people have to pray of the night time.

  743. There won't be time that you know we're going to have people

  744. have people 24 hours a day praying.

  745. Come on. Hallelujah.

  746. We need a drink. We need to pour it out on Mount

  747. Carmel. Mount Carmel needs a drink.

  748. We need to flood it till it gets rid of all the boost joints and

  749. all the gambling joints. You hear me?

  750. All of it. Come on, come on, they need a

  751. good drink of salvation, a good drink of the Holy Ghost.

  752. Oh God, Hallelujah. Or maybe it's the loss of the

  753. job. Philippians 419 But my God shall

  754. supply all your need according to his riches and glory by

  755. Christ Jesus. In other words, your needs will

  756. quit being met when heaven runs out of riches, and that'll be

  757. never. You can't run it dry.

  758. Oh Jesus. Or it could be because you can't

  759. forgive yourself. You think you've gone way too

  760. far, and you just can't think that God, you, you.

  761. It's just hard to accept that God is so forgiving that He'll

  762. forgive you no matter, don't matter what you've done.

  763. Matthew 1231 For I say unto you, all matter of sin and blasphemy

  764. shall be forgiven unto men, but the blasphemy against Holy Ghost

  765. shall not be forgiven. So he'll, if you ain't

  766. blaspheming the Holy Ghost, honey, He'll forgive you nothing

  767. else. Now I'm going to, I don't know,

  768. I make the end here. I may not, I don't know.

  769. Just I'm just feeling I had to go back and I've been reading

  770. Sister McGee had got me a little book talking about answered

  771. prayer in the church symbol Jimson Bella wrote it and I've I

  772. can't tell you how many times I've read it through.

  773. I've had it for years now, but I just felt like the other night

  774. was, I don't know about 3/30, 4:00 in the morning that I went

  775. to my office and I picked up that book and I want to relate a

  776. story to you to tell you how big God is and what he wants to do

  777. for this church. It's a story of Ricardo.

  778. He was from the salt mines of the lower West side of

  779. Manhattan. Ricardo was one of many male

  780. prostitutes that flourished in this area.

  781. That's that's where they done their business.

  782. Many of them were boys who had been raped by adult male

  783. relatives. And the outreach team at

  784. Brooklyn Tabernacle began to bring blankets during the late

  785. hour in the daylight hours on Saturday when men weren't

  786. distracted by their work. If you want, you know, and

  787. although these men made good money, they spent it all on

  788. drugs, which left them going through trash cans on weekend to

  789. get food. Come on.

  790. I'm talking about squandering everything you've got.

  791. The people of the church found it and I, I'm on.

  792. Come on, I'm you'll stay with me.

  793. The people at church found it hard to pray for compassion for

  794. these people. They, they, they didn't know how

  795. to do it. So on Tuesday night, Brooklyn

  796. Tabernacle had prayer meetings and every Tuesday night they

  797. began to focus their prayer this way.

  798. They began to pray for love, compassion and protection for

  799. these people. One night a young man that was

  800. on that staff that was doing over this stuff and taking all

  801. these blankets and stuff down. It was about 1/2 hour on the

  802. field of the Holy Ghost, half hour before church that he come

  803. by Jim brother Jim Simbela's office and he knocked on his

  804. pastor's door. He said SAS Pastor Simbela.

  805. We've got 27. Those male prostitutes sitting

  806. on the front 2 benches, Pastor said.

  807. They didn't smell good, they didn't look good.

  808. But when the altar call came, some responded and gave their

  809. heart to the Lord. They said it's at the end of

  810. service. These men were blown away

  811. because people were greeting them and smiling and handshakes

  812. that stunned them to the bone. They hadn't been ever loved or

  813. cared for like that. Pastor was walking up the aisle

  814. and he said he bumped into this. Well, yeah.

  815. He said the one of the most attractive women that ever laid

  816. eyes on had on a black dress, well kept blonde hair down to

  817. about shoulder length, nicely done nails, black stockings and

  818. high heels. He said she was a knockout of a

  819. woman and he said I bumped her. So I said sorry, ma'am.

  820. And he said the voice that came back to me was not a woman's.

  821. Said that's all right, man. Oh Lord, it wasn't a woman at

  822. all. Come to find out later, this was

  823. Ricardo on the street. She was known as Sarah.

  824. What I'm trying to get across to you, he said she'd been in this

  825. business for 10 years. I'm trying to tell you this that

  826. God don't care where you have been or what you have done

  827. because his power goes way beyond anything you can imagine.

  828. He can still turn your life around and make you brand new.

  829. So Ricardo didn't give his heart to the Lord, didn't He said he

  830. stayed around and he kept coming for about a month and said he

  831. just sat there. He just kind of sat there

  832. through service and said he told, he told pastor later, he

  833. said the one the the lat that night.

  834. But then I went the altar. He said I I'd been watching all

  835. this and I said maybe I can be saved.

  836. Maybe God can do something. Ricardo found the Lord after a

  837. month. About a year or so later, he

  838. moved to Texas. He'd been witnessing in the

  839. slums and every place else in New York, many of souls saved

  840. because of Ricardo. He got in Texas and about

  841. Christmas time one day Pastor got a call.

  842. It was Ricardo on the other end, said he couldn't hardly talk.

  843. He said, Pastor, I'm dying. I've, I've fought this AIDS for

  844. many years and I'm, I'm, I'm dying.

  845. And he said as pastor, it's my job to encourage and strengthen

  846. people. Said I wanted to get him ready.

  847. So here I go with mine and said the Lord stopped me.

  848. And he said you don't need to be breeding him.

  849. What he needs to do these last days.

  850. You need to fight for his life because I'm not done with him.

  851. I feel the Holy Ghost. He's moving in this place, he

  852. said. Two weeks later, Ricardo flew

  853. back to New York. Come walking into the service

  854. already, said Ricardo. God sent you here for a purpose,

  855. he said. I've got, I've got, I'm glad to

  856. see you where you're at and you've witnessed, he said, I

  857. know pastor, but I need to do more with what I've got.

  858. I need to put this on tape. I need to record you telling

  859. your story, Ricardo, he said. So we recorded him and he said

  860. after that, he said, Pastor, I'm ready to die now.

  861. After, after everybody's heard my story and after, after I've

  862. already told people what God is capable of, He done it for me.

  863. I know what he can do, said a few weeks later he died and I'm

  864. going to tell you. Does that sound like a God that

  865. can't do anything? He can do it all.

  866. There's nothing he can't do. And I'm telling somebody here

  867. right now, all you need is a drink.

  868. Minister. Musicians can come.

  869. He has forgotten. He hadn't forgotten you.

  870. The prayer that you prayed many years ago.

  871. He still remembers what he's doing.

  872. He's just waiting on you to pray again.

  873. And he'll answer again and again and again.

  874. He's got your name engraved in the palm of his hand.

  875. He's not forgotten you. Come on, all you need is a

  876. drink. All you need is a refreshing and

  877. a renewing. It's a sign.

  878. See when you no longer lift your hands because you can't get a

  879. drink without lifting your hands.

  880. Can't do it? Try it.

  881. Try getting drink without lifting.

  882. Try it every time that bottle comes to your mouth.

  883. Do you ever, do you ever notice when you're getting a drink,

  884. you're looking up? Bible says look unto the hills,

  885. which cometh your help. Come on, all you need is a

  886. drink. I'm telling somebody you haven't

  887. gone that far, that God don't still love you and go and won't

  888. save you. He's still God.

  889. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. See, God takes one look and he's

  890. he's saying if you can't lift your hands, you're on your way

  891. to die before long if you don't get your hands up and get a

  892. drink. See it takes 91 ounces of fluid

  893. for a woman each day. Takes 125 oz for a man each day

  894. I'm going to read one more scripture and I'm finished in

  895. Matthew 1619, Matthew 1619. I want I want you to I want you

  896. Jesus is called I want you to act like and he is he's speaking

  897. to you tonight I will give unto thee the keys.

  898. Everybody said keys. This is how much He loves you.

  899. Thou will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of heaven.

  900. You've got all of heaven at your, fingertips at your and

  901. whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven,

  902. and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in

  903. heaven. God has given you that kind of

  904. power, and yet we go away thirsty.

  905. A stand. I don't know, there may be

  906. somebody listening online tonight that you feel like

  907. you're one of those. Maybe that's gone too far.

  908. If we don't watch it, things of this world can vie our

  909. innertation our our attention so much that we forget God.

  910. My kids grew up in a home where TV wasn't our main thing.

  911. In fact, about what they done is Saturday mornings was cartoon

  912. time, you know, be it Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner and all those you

  913. know, just you sit and laugh at. But when the night comes, we go

  914. to church. But when there wasn't church, we

  915. had Bible studies in our home on Tuesday night for people that

  916. needed a little drink. Need to be further than the

  917. gospel. And on other nights, notice this

  918. is in the night. You know, you ever noticed that

  919. the night time is when the devil deals with you the most?

  920. The nights is what's the hardest.

  921. Well, in the night I'd get out the old guitar.

  922. If you want to know why my kids all sing, it's not because papaw

  923. or not, because Daddy and Mommy taught him.

  924. It was something we'd done. You know, kids when they're

  925. small, they like to hear themselves.

  926. So I'd have a recorder and I'd record them too, so they could

  927. hear themselves, you know, and they'd find their place in the

  928. harmony and we'd sing songs all night long till time go to bed.

  929. That's what we'd done. We sang praises unto God.

  930. Come on now, I, I want you to know that you can do that at

  931. home. You can do that at home.

  932. And I, and I'm going to taste something and whether you

  933. believe it or not, there can be a fresh outpouring in your House

  934. of the Holy Ghost. If you need a drink, it don't

  935. mean you have to go to church to get a drink.

  936. You can get a drink at home because the Holy Ghost is

  937. everywhere and if it lives inside of you, then there is

  938. rivers of living water that lives inside you.

  939. So if you're one of them wilted plants, don't sit here tonight

  940. and go away from here thirsty. I want you to be hydrated when

  941. you leave here. We need to let everything we say

  942. be good and helpful so that your words will be an encouragement

  943. to those who hear them. Get rid of all the bitterness

  944. and the rage and the anger and the harsh words and the slang,

  945. slander, as well as all types of malicious behavior.

  946. We need to get rid of that stuff.

  947. And we need to get a fresh drink of water.

  948. This altar is open tonight. I want you to flip your switch.

  949. Let's do it tonight, Sing Brother, Sister Mason.

  950. Thank you Jesus.
