  1. The glory of the Lord rise among us, Amen.

  2. He said he wanted the glory of the Lord to cover the earth as

  3. the waters cover the sea, Amen. We need his glory, Amen.

  4. Today, thankful for the presence of the Lord.

  5. We have felt in this place over the past few services, in our

  6. song service and our worship service.

  7. Thank you to the praise singers and the praise band for leading

  8. us, Amen, into the presence of the Lord.

  9. That's important, That's important.

  10. I want to be LED into His presence.

  11. I want to sit at His feet. Amen.

  12. And take some time to do so. You can stamp me this morning

  13. and turn to the Gospel of Mark chapter #1 as you're standing.

  14. Just a point of information, Sister McGee, and make mention

  15. about our World Missions Commitment service that we had

  16. and all of the commitments that were turned in after that.

  17. For this year from the World Missions Commitment Service, we

  18. have $904.50 per month that will be going.

  19. You combine that with what goes from our church regularly

  20. anyway, and you're talking about $1309.50 on a monthly basis that

  21. goes from the church. We did not get to the World

  22. Missions rally as a result of the weather that was pending and

  23. no one knew the hour of it. But we did as a church, give

  24. $1200 to Honduras for the Hirsch family as they start their

  25. mission work down there in the country and the nation of

  26. Honduras. So we're grateful, Amen.

  27. That the Lord is, he blesses us. We, again, it's not my objective

  28. here ever to have a large bank account.

  29. I just want to be a piece of conduit through which it flows.

  30. I'm not trying to build my Kingdom, trying to build his

  31. Kingdom. And in fact, if I can get

  32. somebody else in the area that I can't get to, such as a

  33. missionary, then so be it. Because when they go get down in

  34. glory there and speak a new tongues there, I've had a hand

  35. in it here. Amen through giving, Amen.

  36. Amen. And so until the whole world

  37. knows Amen, that is our, that is our Commission from the Lord.

  38. Mark chapter #1. Mark chapter #1 And also, and

  39. I'm just kind of throwing this out ahead of time because I know

  40. this is important. If you have plans and intentions

  41. on going to the Indiana District can't meeting this year.

  42. Registration will open on April the 28th.

  43. That is a Monday. That is an important day.

  44. If you plan on going, you better mark on your calendar because

  45. you got to be on that like flies on on anything, bees on honey,

  46. you know, flies on anything, but you want to be on top of that.

  47. All right. And because you all know, I've

  48. told you in past years that goes so quick anymore within just

  49. less, I mean hours. It's booked all right on

  50. grounds. And so you want to be mindful of

  51. that. And my mind's kind of just not

  52. there. I know Pastor Jonathan Vasquez

  53. is our evening service and and brother David Ivy from Ohio is

  54. in the morning services for the youth.

  55. And so it will be good. Also some other things and we'll

  56. have this for you and such, but some other things to be thinking

  57. of a couple of revivals this year at the home church at

  58. January the OR not January. That's already happened.

  59. June the 1st through the 4th will be revival here.

  60. That's a Monday through Wednesday, June 1st through the

  61. 4th with brother Adrian Sanford. And then in connection with our

  62. annual chili supper and hayride, we're doing a little different

  63. this year. We'll have our hayride, but on

  64. that Sunday, the Sunday through Wednesday, we'll start revival

  65. with Tyler and Kayla Smith's going to come back and be with

  66. us. And so those are just a couple

  67. of revivals. There's also a lot of other

  68. stuff and perhaps we'll get, I'll get with Brother Alex and

  69. we can make up some, some papers, some type of thing that

  70. can get those major dates in your hands that you want to be

  71. here for. Sorry to have you standing for

  72. so long. Mark chapter #1 just a couple of

  73. verses. Amen.

  74. Today the Bible says, now after that John was put in prison,

  75. Jesus came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the

  76. Kingdom of God, verse 15 and saying the time is fulfilled and

  77. the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent ye and believe the

  78. gospel, Amen. For a little while this morning.

  79. This really piggybacks off over last Sunday morning about the

  80. revelation of God in Christ. This morning I want to talk to

  81. you about the revelation of Jesus the Messiah.

  82. All right, the New Testament Scripture, and it was all time

  83. prophesied in the Old Testament about the Messiah of the Jewish

  84. people that would come. And they were in many respects

  85. looking for that Messiah. He did come in the man Christ

  86. Jesus. But we'll see this morning that

  87. even the Old Testament seems to relate to us that that Messiah

  88. would be more than just a man, which is what we come to see

  89. last week. He was divine, Amen.

  90. And so we're going to look at that then this morning here, the

  91. revelation of Jesus the Messiah. Let's talk to the Lord here.

  92. Father, I love you, God, I thank you, Lord, for your goodness.

  93. I thank you, Lord, for another opportunity to be in this house,

  94. the Lord in this place. We're thankful, Lord, for your

  95. spirit. We're thankful, Lord, for your

  96. hand of safety, Lord, over this week.

  97. And we appreciate Lord Jesus, that God, we pray, Lord,

  98. continue to be with all those that are in need.

  99. Let our minds be engaged with your word and you're able to

  100. help her understanding God in this place.

  101. In the name of Jesus Christ that I pray and the church say Amen.

  102. Amen. You may be seated.

  103. And just as another footnote to those revivals, yes, they are

  104. Sunday through Wednesday. All right, We've done a lot of

  105. revivals of the year, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

  106. I'm trying to get a little bit more revival out of us, OK.

  107. And so we're doing Sunday through Wednesday, and those are

  108. two days you would already be here Sundays and Wednesday.

  109. So just adding two more, which means when we would have revival

  110. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Friday and Saturday were two

  111. days that you were typically here.

  112. So you just move those and put them to Monday and Tuesday and

  113. there you go. All right.

  114. And so we're just going to try to do that.

  115. It's been my experience when I wasn't evangelist.

  116. I know the days of evangelism have changed, but if you can get

  117. a series of services, sometimes things start to break as you

  118. continue with some services that might not just happen in two

  119. services. All right?

  120. And so that's the purpose for it.

  121. If you don't like it, you can talk to me.

  122. It was my decision about it. Amen.

  123. God bless you in Jesus name, Amen.

  124. Amen. Mark chapter #1 And so the Bible

  125. here in Scripture again, 1st century Jews were aware and they

  126. were expectant of the Messiah. Many of them missed their

  127. Messiah. Many of them even treated him

  128. not as their Messiah. They missed it.

  129. They saw it in many respects. A earthly Messiah, a political

  130. king, someone that would come back and give them their Kingdom

  131. back to them, right, that would deliver them from the Roman rule

  132. that 1st century Jews were under whenever Jesus was even born and

  133. during his earthly ministry, they were under the Rome that

  134. under the rule of Rome, all right.

  135. And so before Jesus is ascension then to heaven from the mount of

  136. all of it, His disciples had picked up on this concept of

  137. this Messiah personality in Jesus Christ.

  138. They even spoke to him in Acts chapter #1 and verse 6.

  139. They had a question that that conveys that they had picked up

  140. on this personality Messiah in Jesus when they said in Acts 1

  141. and 6, when they therefore were come together Speaking of his

  142. disciples, they asked of him Jesus saying, Lord, wilt thou at

  143. this time restore again the Kingdom to Israel?

  144. So they're looking for someone to bring Israel back into this

  145. autonomy of not being under Roman rule, but under their own

  146. rule. And so the Messiahship then

  147. though of Jesus Christ though encompass more than just a

  148. natural Kingdom, right? The messiahship of Jesus Christ

  149. was more than just restoring Israel back to a earthly Kingdom

  150. place or a order of rule for Israel.

  151. It it was about also a spiritual Kingdom, the messiahship of

  152. Jesus Christ. And so the Old Testament, it

  153. contains several. There's no way that we have the

  154. time afforded us today to go through all of the Old Testament

  155. prophecies that speak about the Messiah.

  156. But there's things in the Old Testament, when you read them,

  157. you start to understand man that sounds a lot like Christ Jesus

  158. or what Christ Jesus accomplished their stuff

  159. throughout the book and the prophet of Isaiah especially

  160. like chapters 52 and 53 and such.

  161. And there that many people will call it's talking about a

  162. suffering servant when in reality it's talking about our

  163. Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who fits many of those

  164. descriptions because it is he that's spoken of in those books

  165. whose visage or his very being his his visage.

  166. The way that he looked was so marred more than any man that

  167. that his form was was more marred even than the sons of

  168. men. That's talking about our Christ,

  169. the beating, the Kadam 9 tells the the spear through his side.

  170. All of those things are descriptions of him.

  171. He's the one concerning the suffering servant that it's

  172. Speaking of that would be despised.

  173. All these different verbs, despised and rejected and

  174. stricken and smitten, all of those are relating to our Lord.

  175. He's the one that would be wounded and bruised and

  176. chastised and beaten. The Bible even says with stripes

  177. he would be. The Bible speaks of this one in

  178. the Old Testament that would be cut off from the land of the

  179. living. A man, that's our Lord.

  180. He is the child that was born of a virgin, right?

  181. Amen. That the Old Testament speaks

  182. about the one upon whom which the government would be upon His

  183. shoulders, and that He would have a Kingdom, right?

  184. That was ordered and that was established with judgment.

  185. This is just talking about Jesus Christ, and it's a matter of

  186. fact. Jesus in his earthly ministry,

  187. the 33 or so years that He was here upon the earth, He oftimes

  188. referred to Himself and referred to his mission, and whenever He

  189. did, He was really using passages from the book of Daniel

  190. or from the prophet Daniel as he referred to Himself and his

  191. mission. A standard way that Jesus talked

  192. about himself in the New Testament is that he oftimes

  193. talked about Himself as the Son of Man, the Son of Man.

  194. Now for just any just regular reader, great, you know Son of

  195. man. But for a 1st century Jew, their

  196. mind is going back into the Old Testament and they are coupling

  197. that with Daniel where the Son of man is mentioned in prophecy

  198. in the book of Daniel. As a matter of fact, Daniel does

  199. a very it's not like I got a validate God's word right.

  200. It's like no, he does a good job.

  201. Well of course he is, he's inspired of the Holy Ghost to

  202. write what was written. But he'll, let me say he did a

  203. great job, Amen Brother Zach, in writing and and webbing these

  204. things together about how that Messiah that would come would be

  205. the long-awaited king, but not just earthly king, but the

  206. divine 1 Daniel really does this very well.

  207. Amen. About bringing about a Kingdom,

  208. yes, but more importantly A heavenly Kingdom, a spiritual

  209. Kingdom. Throughout the New Testament

  210. scripture, there's a lot of talk.

  211. You read it in your Bibles. There's a lot of talk about the

  212. Kingdom of God. You can't read the gospels

  213. without you seeing the talk about the Kingdom of God, or

  214. sometimes it's called the Kingdom of heaven.

  215. Whenever the forerunner of Jesus Christ come, which was John the

  216. Baptist, which was his cousin born like 6 months or so before

  217. Jesus was, whenever John the Baptist even came, he came

  218. repent. He came preaching a message of

  219. repent, repentance, and he would say repent for the Kingdom of

  220. heaven or the Kingdom of God is at hand.

  221. It's at hand. So matter of fact, then whenever

  222. Jesus started his own public ministry, Amen, he comes and he

  223. has the same message. It's a message of repentance.

  224. And he's telling the people that the Kingdom of God or the

  225. Kingdom of heaven is at hand. But this Kingdom that we're

  226. talking about in the New Testament, it has a very natural

  227. earthly side, but it also has a very spiritual side to it.

  228. Amen. A Kingdom that was beyond this

  229. earth, beyond where they live. So my fact, when Jesus was

  230. questioned by some of the Pharisees who were, you know,

  231. the, the, the very people who try to keep the letter of the

  232. law as best as they could, he was questioned by the Pharisees

  233. that Lord, when the Kingdom of God, when, when should it come?

  234. When it should come, which they're thinking about a natural

  235. Kingdom. That's where their mind is,

  236. when, when the Kingdom of God should come, when, when should

  237. this happen? And he responded to them these

  238. words which show us that it's more than just a earthly

  239. Kingdom, but a spiritual Kingdom.

  240. He said the Kingdom of God is within you.

  241. Hold on a minute. So we're, we're talking about

  242. something that's just not earthly.

  243. Then there, there, there's a spiritual side to this Kingdom

  244. as well. And So what did it mean them to

  245. a 1st century Jew that Jesus said in our, our text even this

  246. morning that the time is fulfilled.

  247. The Kingdom of God is at hand. What it did it mean to them to

  248. hear that the time is fulfilled. The Kingdom of God is at hand.

  249. Why? Why would he even say such

  250. things as the Kingdom of God is come unto you in this this 1st

  251. century among the Jews, someone say a man.

  252. And so while the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of heaven is also

  253. spiritual, again there is a earthly means to it, a means for

  254. which Jesus wanted the Jewish people and those that had any

  255. understanding of Old Testament scripture.

  256. He wanted them to understand that the time for their

  257. long-awaited Messiah was at hand.

  258. It was occurring, right? He didn't want them to miss what

  259. many of them missed, that their Messiah had come, their Messiah

  260. had arrived. He wanted them to recognize

  261. that. So he uses these phrases of

  262. Kingdom of God or Kingdom of heaven in the Old Testament.

  263. You know, just follow with me today.

  264. We'll start weaving the web, all right, and putting the strings

  265. together and tying the knots. But the Kingdom of God and the

  266. Kingdom of heaven, those two phrases are never found in the

  267. King James Version language of the Old Testament.

  268. The closest thing that we get to that phrase is in the book of

  269. Daniel when Daniels describing a bunch of these Pagan kingdoms

  270. being destroyed by the Kingdom of the God of Heaven.

  271. That's what it's stated in Daniel chapter #2 and verse 44.

  272. Look at it with me now. And in the days of these kings,

  273. we'll go back and look at those kings.

  274. And Speaking of these Pagan kingdoms and Pagan kings, shall

  275. the God of heaven set up a Kingdom?

  276. All right, So that right there, if the God of heaven is setting

  277. up a Kingdom, it must be a Kingdom of God, It must be a

  278. Kingdom of heaven. He's going to set up, He's going

  279. to set up a Kingdom which shall never be destroyed.

  280. And the Kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it

  281. shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms and

  282. it shall stand forever. In Daniel chapter #2 if you want

  283. to host series on Daniel, check our podcast.

  284. It's there. All right, Probably 34 lessons

  285. or so, or 24, I can't remember which.

  286. But nonetheless, in Daniel chapter #2 you'll remember that

  287. there was a dream that King Nebuchadnezzar had.

  288. He was wanting an interpretation of a dream.

  289. He's seen this great image in the Book of Daniel chapter #2

  290. and this image had a head of gold.

  291. It had breast and arms that were silver.

  292. It had belly and thighs that were brass.

  293. It had legs that were iron. And when you got to its feet, it

  294. was a mixture of iron and clay. In Daniel chapter #2 Daniel told

  295. Nebuchadnezzar the interpretation of that dream.

  296. He said, oh, you, Nebuchadnezzar, are that head of

  297. gold. Nebuchadnezzar was the king over

  298. a Babylonian Kingdom, all right? The very Babylon that would take

  299. the children of Israel into captivity for 70 years.

  300. He says, you are that head of gold, all right.

  301. And that's around probably around 6th century BC when all

  302. of that took place. But then there's going to come

  303. a, a, a more inferior Kingdom, the Babylon, but it's going to

  304. overtake Babylon. And that would then be known as

  305. the Medo Persian, a Kingdom in the Scripture around the 5th

  306. century BC. They would be the silver.

  307. Then would come another Kingdom that would bear rule over the

  308. whole earth. And that would be the Greek

  309. Kingdom around the 4th century. That would be during the time of

  310. Alexander the Great. It's like between the

  311. Testaments. Alexander the Great was such a

  312. great warrior that he he absolutely took over and

  313. conquered the then known world. Yet when he was very young,

  314. still yet very young, he would die and he would leave his

  315. Kingdom to his, his four top generals that would really only

  316. two of them would become dominant.

  317. And so that's the next Kingdom, the Grecian Kingdom, Amen, that

  318. we speak of then that is brass. And then the next Kingdom that

  319. comes in succession is the Kingdom of Rome.

  320. That is the Kingdom that was alive and well when Christ was

  321. born in Bethlehem's Manger. That's the Kingdom that was

  322. alive and well, Amen. During his lifetime there, Amen.

  323. From 1st century like BC on into the AD generations, this Kingdom

  324. would be in Rule. It's, it's strong.

  325. It's strong as iron. That's it's representation of

  326. iron. It's strong as iron that as you

  327. get to the feet, you see it's mixed with clay.

  328. There's a weakening, if you will, of the empire and of the

  329. Kingdom whenever you look at the statue of Daniel chapter #2 I

  330. hope this ain't too heavy for everybody on a Sunday morning.

  331. I hope you ate, you ate your Wheaties today, all right, or

  332. something. Amen.

  333. On Daniel chapter #2 you'll notice that the, the metals

  334. going from gold down to iron to clay, the metals really are

  335. increasing in strength from gold to to silver to brass to iron.

  336. That's, that's going from a soft metal to a very more hardened

  337. metal, a stronger metal. But the value of the are are

  338. diminishing in a sense until you get into the 5th Kingdom because

  339. iron is not as valuable as go. There's a this diminishment of

  340. value until you get to the 5th Kingdom.

  341. And so every Kingdom is growing in its territory in an expanse

  342. because like the Medo Persians, they're overtaking Babylon and

  343. absorbing their landmass into themselves.

  344. So the territory is getting larger with each successive

  345. Kingdom that comes again, decrease in in, in value, but an

  346. increase, if you will, in its power or in its strength.

  347. Another reason why it's it's decreasing in value on a very

  348. literal level is because these kingdoms like Medo Persia,

  349. that's a split Kingdom. You get to Alexander the Great.

  350. He has four generals. He's going to give that to.

  351. They're splitting up. A Kingdom is really usually a

  352. one man rule. And so it's a breaking up, if

  353. you will, of the government and of the powers begin to splinters

  354. begin to weaken. But look at Daniel chapter 2 and

    Daniel 2 chapter mention

  355. verse 34. There is 1/5.

  356. The Bible says, and in the interpretation he says, Thou

  357. solace, thou seen everything that was going on till that a

  358. stone was cut out without hands, without him.

  359. This, this was not human invention.

  360. This was not human offspring, so to speak.

  361. This was done without hands, which smote the image up on his

  362. feet that were of iron and clay and break them to pieces.

  363. Then was the iron, the clay? Notice it's talking about the

  364. statue. Now this stone that was cut

  365. without hands hit the feet and it's it's shattered to pieces

  366. along. Look at verse 2.

  367. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, the goat.

  368. All of this broke into pieces together and became like the

  369. chap of the summer, threshing floors and the wind that carried

  370. them away, that no place was found for them.

  371. The stone that smote the image became now it's not just a

  372. stone, but it grows into this great mountain and filled the

  373. whole earth. Scholar NT Wright says this.

  374. He says the passage about the stone in Daniel 2 was regularly

  375. interpreted from at least as early as the 1st century.

  376. And the reason why I say this spoken and I don't want to

  377. bombard you. But even if today, if you were

  378. in college and you were writing about something, you want what's

  379. called primary sources. You want sources that are close

  380. to the incident that you're you're talking about because

  381. they're going to be the most reliable.

  382. You you can grab somebody that's talking about it today, but they

  383. weren't there when all of this thing came about.

  384. And so when you have a primary source that has more credence

  385. than something that is written about today.

  386. And so whenever he said, as he says these things have been

  387. written about that that stone and Daniel was regularly

  388. interpreted as Amen and referring to the Messiah as

  389. early as the 1st century, that a Kingdom would come and be set up

  390. through the Messiah. Then we, we can, we can hang our

  391. hat on that. Then understanding that this 5th

  392. Kingdom that would come after the Kingdom of Rome would be the

  393. Kingdom of the Messiah, the Kingdom of the Messiah.

  394. And look now verse #44 you can look at verse 44 of Daniel one

  395. more time. Daniel says, And in the days of

  396. these kings, Speaking of the, the gold and the silver and the

  397. brass and the iron, a man of Babylon and Medo, Persia and

  398. Greece and Rome in the days of these kings, shall the God of

  399. heaven set up a Kingdom? Shall the God of heaven set up a

  400. Kingdom? And since God is setting up the

  401. Kingdom, this is in essence the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of

  402. heaven that's going to be set up.

  403. And so a New Testament Jew that hears Jesus and even John the

  404. Baptist and regular talk about the Kingdom of heaven or the

  405. Kingdom of God is at hand, or the time of its fulfillment and

  406. its placement or its start and its sea bed is now.

  407. They've been expecting ever since Daniel's opened his mouth

  408. and prophecy about all these kingdoms fallen.

  409. There would be established a Kingdom from heaven and it would

  410. take place. And so much so that they're

  411. living during the day when Rome was in Rule.

  412. They are looking for somebody to set up a heavenly Kingdom.

  413. They're looking for somebody to set up the Kingdom of God.

  414. And so whenever they consider that, Daniel says a stone's

  415. going to come and it's going to annihilate all these others and

  416. it's going to grow into a great mountain until it fills the

  417. whole earth. Amen.

  418. We see that really fulfilled in the Lord Jesus Christ, His

  419. Kingdom, Amen. And in many ways began in

  420. Bethlehem, Manger and Pentecost in Calvary, and the growth of

  421. the Gospel. Why do you think that?

  422. He said to his disciples before he departed, Amen.

  423. Go ye into all the world and preach.

  424. Why? Because that would be the

  425. expanse of the heavenly Kingdom. That would be the expanse of the

  426. Kingdom of God. That started as a stone but

  427. becomes a great over. We're still expanding the

  428. Kingdom. It didn't just happen in the

  429. book of Acts while we're living right now today, we are living

  430. in the Kingdom of God age. We are still expanding the

  431. Kingdom. Amen for the purpose of heaven.

  432. That's the reason why we're supporting the missionaries and

  433. the home missionaries and this and that.

  434. We are expanded. The stone is becoming a

  435. mountain. Someone say man, the stone is

  436. becoming a mountain and of the Messiah prophecy concerning

  437. Jesus Christ, Isaiah said. And of the increase of his

  438. government and peace there shall be no end.

  439. This was made without hands. This isn't the ordering of a

  440. man, no, this is all of the actions of God.

  441. And so that's partly why Jesus Christ said in our text then the

  442. time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand

  443. because they were living during the days of the Roman rule.

  444. He was coming in to set up another Kingdom, so to speak,

  445. another king, another Kingdom. That's not man made, but it's

  446. God made. So we consider all of this

  447. again. Remember Jesus likes to refer to

  448. himself as the Son, the Son of Man, the Son of Man.

  449. As a matter of fact, here are just a few samples.

  450. Can't give you them all. Again, time would not allow.

  451. But Jesus says things like this concerning himself.

  452. He talks in the third person, you know, and he says things

  453. like the Son of man came eating and drinking and they say,

  454. behold, A glutton and a drunkard.

  455. Jesus said that of himself he says stuff like this, but the

  456. Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.

  457. He's talking about himself. He's calling himself the Son of

  458. Man, he says, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is

  459. betrayed. Again, he's talking about

  460. himself. He knew the Jews would pick up

  461. on him talking about himself as the Son of man.

  462. He doesn't explain it to us in the New Testament, but he knew

  463. they would pick up on it because the Son of Man is more than just

  464. being a human being. That term could be used for

  465. humans. Son of men.

  466. Amen. But to a 1st century, it was

  467. more than just being human, it was so much more.

  468. In Daniel chapter #7 it records that Daniel, Daniel has a dream.

  469. Daniel has a dream about a series of four Pagan empires in

  470. Daniel 7. And listen, folks, you read like

  471. Daniel 2, Daniel 7, Daniel 8. You know, it seems weird, but

  472. again, these are dreams that have representations in

  473. Scripture. And Daniel, he has a dream about

  474. four Pagan empires. They're represented by a lion

  475. that has eagle's wings, a bear raising up on one side, a

  476. leopard that has four wings and four heads, right?

  477. And then one that's called a very terrible, dreadful beast

  478. that you read of in Daniel chapter #7 Daniel 7 and verse 17

  479. says these great beasts, which are four are 4 kings, are 4

  480. kings which arise out of the earth.

  481. Now if you want to hear a few different schools of thought

  482. again, podcast Daniel I refer you back to, But there are a few

  483. schools of thought about these 4 kingdoms or 4 kings.

  484. One of them mirrors the very order of the kingdoms that

  485. Daniel told to Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel chapter #2 that we

  486. already discussed of gold and silver and brass and iron.

  487. All right. Nonetheless, again it doesn't

  488. stop with the 4th king or the 4th Kingdom, because the next

  489. king even in Daniel's dream will be the king which was as

  490. mentioned in the book of Daniel was the Son of Man.

  491. Look at it now, Daniel chapter #7 And verse 9.

  492. He says, I beheld till the Thrones were cast down, the

  493. Ancient of Days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and

  494. the hair of his head like the pure wool.

  495. His throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning

  496. fire. Verse 13.

  497. I saw in the night visions and behold, one like the Son of Man

  498. came with the clouds of heaven and came to the Ancient of Days,

  499. and they brought him near before him, and there was given him

  500. dominion and glory and a Kingdom.

  501. That's verse 14, That all people, nations and languages

  502. shall serve him. His dominion is an everlasting

  503. dominion which shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which

  504. shall not be destroyed. All of this means then the ruler

  505. or the king of the 5th Kingdom would be the Son of Man.

  506. Please note there's not another Kingdom after his.

  507. There's not enough there another power to come into place after

  508. him. He is the king and the Kingdom

  509. to end all kingdoms, all right. And so that is the the Messiah,

  510. the anointed one for that time and again, many 1st century

  511. writings equate the Son of Man with the Messiah with the

  512. Messiah. And so Jesus often talk then

  513. about the Kingdom of God being at hand, and he would also then

  514. refer to himself as the Son of Man.

  515. He wanted the Jews to understand that the time of his Kingdom, he

  516. was there. I'm here, I've arrived.

  517. This thing is now going to start turning around because I am that

  518. king. I am your Messiah.

  519. I am the Son of man. As a matter of fact, his Kingdom

  520. would begin to have its seed bed during the Roman rule.

  521. Again, you, you, you, you have Caesar, you have all these

  522. different people that are Roman rulers during the time of Jesus,

  523. even in his trial for his crucifix that are Roman rulers.

  524. The Jews are constantly talking to Rome, right?

  525. Because they weren't, they weren't going to be able to

  526. crucify Jesus themselves. That's that.

  527. It was not permissible in their law.

  528. They had to have Roman rule in order to be able to, even to

  529. crucify the Lord. So all of this is happening

  530. while Christ is walking in his public ministry up on the earth.

  531. The Bible says he walked his public ministry in, in, in Luke

  532. chapter #3 during the reign of Tiberius the Caesar.

  533. That's a Roman entity. That's a Roman government.

  534. And so Jesus proclaims and and prophecies that the Kingdom that

  535. is in Daniel, that 5th Kingdom to end all kingdoms that's cut

  536. without a hand. He claims to be not only that

  537. that Kingdom is starting now, but he's the king of that

  538. Kingdom. He is that Son of God, that Son

  539. of man, if you will, that's prophesied in the Old Testament

  540. Daniel, that Kingdom that is made without hands.

  541. And more So, what he wants them to know more than anything else

  542. is more than a earthly Kingdom. This thing is a heavenly

  543. Kingdom, more than just, you know, more than just dirt and

  544. blocking and regimens and all of that, he says.

  545. This is something that's spiritual because it can be a

  546. Kingdom that's within you. Can I tell you today that if

  547. you've been born again of the water and the Spirit, you

  548. repented of your sins and you went down in Jesus that name,

  549. you have entered a Kingdom that he told Nicodemus, Except a man

  550. be born again of the water and the Spirit, he cannot see.

  551. He cannot enter into the Kingdom of someone.

  552. Say Amen, hail glory. So he he shares some time Jesus

  553. sometimes shares about his death and his ministry.

  554. He talks to his disciples about it.

  555. He talks about being turned over into the authorities.

  556. He talks about being put into the hands of men.

  557. And he says it like this though know how he says it?

  558. He says, and you can read this in Mark, Matthew, Luke, those

  559. those gospels of the synoptic Gospels.

  560. He often phrases it like this. Again, Speaking of himself like

  561. third person, he says the Son of man must suffer many things.

  562. The Son of man and the certainty of his suffering is in the word

  563. must, he must suffer many things.

  564. But the whole idea of him suffering is really based,

  565. again, in the book of Daniel, because the Masonic son of man

  566. that Daniel spoke of had to suffer.

  567. Now, there's a lot I could say about these verses I'm about

  568. ready to read to you, but we're not going to say everything that

  569. can be said. OK, Daniel series, I reference

  570. you again. But in Daniel chapter #9 and

  571. verse 25, again, Daniel doesn't just talk about that Kingdom to

  572. come. It talks about the King, the Son

  573. of Man, and we already had precedence even from writings

  574. even as early as the 1st century that that stone.

  575. What is being spoken of is the Messiah.

  576. The Bible says in Daniel 9 verse 25.

    Daniel 9:25

  577. Know therefore, and understand that from the going forth of the

  578. commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem, and to the

  579. Messiah, or if I say the Messiah says it clearly, Messiah.

  580. The Prince shall be 7 weeks and three score and two weeks, and

  581. the street shall be built again, and the wall even in trouble

  582. troublous times. Verse 26.

  583. And after three score and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off,

  584. but not for himself and the people.

  585. The Prince shall come and destroy the city, the sanctuary,

  586. and the end thereof shall be with a flood.

  587. And to the end of the war, desolations are determined.

  588. Again, we don't have all time to cover every detail that's in

  589. this, because this new thing here is a lot.

  590. It's like a key. It will open some doors.

  591. Amen. But there's a lot in here.

  592. But suffice to say it that Jesus treats the Son of Man of Daniel

  593. 7 and the Messiah of Daniel chapter #9 as one and the same

  594. person. One and the same person.

  595. One is enthronement is therefore the beginning of his Kingdom.

  596. And there is, as we read here in Daniel 9A, earthly suffering,

  597. even a death. That's what is being conveyed to

  598. us when it says Messiah will be cut off.

  599. It's speaking about his death. All right.

  600. And since kings even the Old Testament Scripture, they were

  601. anointed with oil. Sister Cox we see that happened

  602. to David we see that happened to saw horns of oil put over their

  603. heads. Since they are anointed with

  604. oil, many times kings were referred to as the anointed.

  605. As a result of that, whenever we talk about New Credit Testament

  606. Scripture, Jesus Christ Christ isn't his last name.

  607. Christ is a label in the Greek denoting the anointed Messiah in

  608. the Old Testament. In the Hebrew, the anointed,

  609. we're talking about the one that's being the Son of man.

  610. We're talking about our king coming.

  611. Jesus says the Son of Man or Messiah must suffer.

  612. This is the mindset where they were kind of thrown off because

  613. they were just looking for someone with our earthly

  614. Kingdom. They didn't realize the

  615. spiritual aspect of the Kingdom and they seen their king coming

  616. in strong and they didn't realize his strength was through

  617. his Amen. And according to Daniel, he says

  618. he would be cut off, He would be put to death.

  619. There would come a time that he would die.

  620. And so there were Jews that were waiting for the Kingdom of God,

  621. the Messiah, the Son of man, and Jesus fulfilled both of them.

  622. He, he was the Son of man, He was the Messiah, He was the king

  623. over that 5th Kingdom. As a matter of fact, and we

  624. don't have time to do it, but if you read those verses again and

  625. you go through the calculations about when the decree was given

  626. and the weeks and the times and the years that that interprets

  627. Amen. It says that He'll be cut off at

  628. a certain time. Jesus meant that qualification

  629. in the calendar when he was crucified, He he met the Old

  630. Testament prophecy of when that Messiah would be cut off,

  631. pointing to the fact that he was that Messiah that was coming and

  632. dying in that 1st century time frame.

  633. So much so I'll hasten to a close because I know we're

  634. already where we're at here on our own timetable here this

  635. morning. Amen.

  636. But remember what the, what the Angel spoke to Mary in Luke

  637. chapter #1 and verse 32, it says the angels told Mary he Speaking

  638. of Jesus shall be great and shall be called the Son of the

  639. Highest and the Lord God shall given to him the throne of his

  640. Father David. He said he's going to be the son

  641. of the highest and he's going to have a throne.

  642. That was what that's what the Angel even told Mary.

  643. And so as New Testament, as church believers today, we can

  644. look at the scripture and understand Messiah has come,

  645. right? The Messiah of the Old

  646. Testament. We're, we are not in a pattern

  647. of waiting. There are some today because

  648. they missed it when he first came, believe they're waiting

  649. for him to come. He already came the first time.

  650. He's just going to come back the second time.

  651. He's already come the first time.

  652. He's just going to come back the second time.

  653. We may not believe it, but his Kingdom is already the

  654. construction, the, the, all the ordering of his Kingdom again,

  655. the X, the expense of his Kingdom is happening even as we

  656. are living up on this earth. There's going to come a day

  657. folks, and it will come when it will be realized by every eye.

  658. Once the church is taken out of here and and there's tribulation

  659. and all those things and there'll be 1000 year Millennium

  660. reign of the Lord people. I want to realize in that day

  661. there was a Kingdom that was cut without hands that's grew into a

  662. mountain that now is an everlasting Kingdom.

  663. And of his government and of his increase, there is no end folks.

  664. It's just building up. Can I tell you that?

  665. It's just building up? Every day it's increasing.

  666. Every day it's getting greater. I know it looks like on the

  667. earthly surface, man weren't drowning here.

  668. No, there is a Kingdom, an established.

  669. Oh, yes, stay with me. I'll hurry.

  670. Too close here. I'll hurry.

  671. I'll hurry. I see someone.

  672. Someone had that lunch look on in their eyes.

  673. Amen. Because this is God's plan,

  674. right? Understanding Jesus as the

  675. Messiah, right, is important because he's central to the

  676. mission and the fulfilling of God's plan.

  677. Even a Daniel know what it says. That the Messiah would be cut

  678. off, but not for himself. Jesus didn't die for himself,

  679. Messiah said. He's cut off, but not for

  680. himself. Jesus didn't die for himself, He

  681. died for you. He's cut off, but not for

  682. himself. It's for you.

  683. So he's not as many even presumed him that day as just

  684. another prophet or another teacher.

  685. No, he was the promised king. He's the divine Son of man

  686. spoken of by the prophet Daniel. He's the suffering servant of

  687. Isaiah. A man death has been prophesied

  688. and he's going to be the cornerstone of an everlasting

  689. Kingdom. So when Jesus declared in our

  690. text in Mark, the time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God

  691. is at hand, really calling the people to recognize that God's

  692. redemption plan was unfolding before their eyes, not some

  693. earthly ruler trying to find some type of political power

  694. establishment as many are today. His Kingdom, yes, has an earthly

  695. side, but more importantly as a heavenly side for the purpose of

  696. transforming hearts and bodies for that matter.

  697. Because when my change comes to be able to endure forever in

  698. this everlasting Kingdom. So both his death and his

  699. resurrection prove that his Kingdom, it's not of this world.

  700. And Alexander the Great died. He's still dead, you hear me?

  701. When, when, when Nebuchadnezzar pushed up tulips, he's still

  702. pushing them up. But when our king supposedly was

  703. cut off and some of them are saying, but this is, but this is

  704. the third day, huh? Those two, they're walking to

  705. Emmaus, they said, but it was the third day.

  706. And Jesus came and walked beside him and said, tell me about this

  707. crucifix and resurrection stuff. And before the night was over,

  708. it's like, oh, that's Jesus because they knew him whenever

  709. he broke, broke bread and he said, did not our hearts burn

  710. within us? Huh?

  711. Their king wasn't dead. Whoa, that king wasn't dead,

  712. honey. Every other Kingdom of the world

  713. and other every other religion of the world, Amen, that

  714. subscribes to a different Kingdom, the king of this Amen,

  715. an Apostolic Amen, Biblical, let me just say biblical truth.

  716. Hira Krishna dead, Reverend Moon dead.

  717. Joseph Smith dead, go visit their grave.

  718. But you go over into the Holy Land and you visit where they

  719. say my King laid. There's no body there, there's

  720. no poem there. There's no testimony of his

  721. residence there because he's alive.

  722. It's a everlasting Kingdom that shall know no end.

  723. Hear me today, anything that is being built can be built right

  724. now on this day, but there's nothing that is going to be

  725. built that will not be destroyed by the Kingdom of God.

  726. It all comes under the power and the authority of the Kingdom.

  727. So fear not what you see sometimes taking place around

  728. you as though man, this is going to swallow us, ain't going to

  729. swallow you up because there's a rock that's been cut a stone

  730. without him. I feel him in this place.

  731. So not only was Christ Jesus from last week divine, but he's

  732. my Messiah. And that fulfills exactly what

  733. Daniel was talking about, a king, a man that would come that

  734. with yes, he would have a divine side to him, but he would also

  735. be the Messiah for the people. That's your Christ Jesus.

  736. Daniel said that that last piece, it was dreadful and it

  737. was horrible. But there's a 5th Kingdom

  738. coming, honey. We got all kinds of stuff going

  739. on around here. I don't know if it's right or

  740. wrong. I don't know.

  741. And we got terrorists going up left and right, right, United

  742. Nations, right. In terrorists, we race

  743. terrorists. We want Canada to be 51st state.

  744. They're racing terrorists, we're racing terrorists.

  745. We got all this stuff, right? Bunch of economic unsettledness.

  746. Maybe it'll all pan out. I don't know.

  747. Maybe it'll set up a time that we can call for a greater

  748. economy of oneness. I don't know.

  749. But this one thing I do know. I know in whom I have believed.

  750. I know in whom I have believed. I know in whom I.

  751. I know him, I know him. I know him.

  752. I know. Raise your hands right now.

  753. Today, let acknowledge our God, acknowledge our Savior,

  754. acknowledge our Messiah, acknowledge the King of glory.
