Dying In His Presence | Pastor Paul McGee

Oh yeah, the writer said to let my words be few because he's in

heaven and we're here on earth. Amen.

And sometimes just being in his presence does render us

speechless. Hallelujah tonight, Amen.

Good to see each one of you. And again, we are going to just

continue rejoicing all day. Amen for Xavier and being

baptized, the lovely name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen. Do you remember when you were

baptized? Do you remember what you

experienced? Amen.

And how maybe you felt just clean being washed away with all

of those sins, Amen. It's always amazing to me to see

people's faces where they come out of the water, different ones

over times, countenances are are changed and you can see just

almost of the burden have been lifted off their life in the

moment that they've been baptized in the lovely name of

Jesus Christ, Amen. And so we're thankful tonight

for that Hallelujah, Amen. Speaking of baptisms being

prayer, also this week Sister Maggie and I will be going back

to the prison that many of you went to earlier in the year and

we're going back there to do some baptizing.

Amen. And so things, which was around

50 that signed up for baptism, they'll have the option of

course, of being baptized in based in the titles.

We won't be doing that baptism, but if they want to be baptized

in Jesus name, we will be doing that.

And so it's going to be a all day event.

They only hold baptism services once a year here, so it's going

to be an all day event. We'll be starting in the

morning, we'll break for lunch, we'll come back in the afternoon

and they'll be baptisms taken all day.

What my prayer for you to pray is this, that the times that we

have been in there, which have been I think 3 by now, that the

word that has been spoken concerning being baptized in

Jesus name will be stuck in the minds and hearts of those girls.

That whenever it's time for them to be baptized, they'll say

Jesus name, Jesus name, Jesus name.

I don't care if I come back with longer arms because we've had

to, just just me and Sister McGee.

I don't care to come back with longer arms.

I want them to be baptized in the name that's above every

name, the only saving name, the name after the Holy Ghost.

The only saving name, the only saving name.

Oh, God, can you just lift your hand right now and pray to that

in Father, I pray right now in the Holy Ghost, God, that is.

Coming Wednesday, as we walk in that facility and on that

compound, God help us to. Have favor.

But God. You to have favor.

Lord in the hearts and the lives God to.

Those that see their need for. Baptism, God, let it be.

One after another. God, that will.

Testify. That they want to be baptized in

that saving name. Go before us, Lord, as you open

the heart of Lydia before the message was ever preached, Come

upon us and open the heart, open the mind and ever call Ramesh

Rabiaki Abu Shabashi. Oh God, oh God.

past three times we've been there, received the Holy Ghost.

They need a baptism in His name. They need a baptism in his name.

And Hallelujah, disciples asked. The Lord in Matthew 25 said When

did we come and visit you? He said When I was in prison, he

said you came. And he that done it unto the

least of these have done it unto me.

Hallelujah, I love him tonight. Hallelujah, I love him tonight.

Thank you Jesus. It's not who baptizes you, it's

whose name you're baptized in. There's all kinds of controversy

in New Testament Scriptures, some saying they were baptized

of Apollos and others of Paul and some of Cephas.

But the apostle said he said you need to be baptized in the name

whose whose name was you baptized?

And said you got to be baptized in the name of the one that was

crucified for you. So what?

He asked him. He said you got to be baptized

in the name of the one that was crucified for you.

Paulus wasn't crucified for you. Cephas wasn't crucified for you.

There's no other individual that was crucified you but the Lord

Jesus Christ. That's the name that you're

baptized in. You're baptized in the name of

the one that was crucified for you.

I'll take that name in baptism. I'll take that name in baptism.

Hallelujah. Amen.

Phyllis Presence. I don't want to get ahead of

God. I don't want to linger behind

God right now, what I'm looking at that I have prepared to

preach. I'm wondering, God, is this even

right for what we're experiencing right in the

moment? This presence.

This presence. Amen.

God, what do you want to do? God, what do you want to do?

You carry this truth. You carry my word.

Do not. Keep it.

I'm free to speak, for when words that ye shall speak, For I

desire all to come unto me, but ye shall be the Ave. in the

vehicle by which I spread my word.

I say unto thee, Be not afraid of rejection, for there are

people that are hungry that know not what they seek, but ye have

knowledge of what they. So I say unto thee, be bold, be

brave, walk in my spirit, and speak the words of life for

those who are drowning without hope in this hour, I say unto

thee, Be not afraid, open your mouth, and I, the Lord, shall

fill it with the words of life. Yeah, let's respond to that

tonight in a way that will be appropriate.

Jesus said in the the book of John.

He said, if I be lifted up from the earth signifying what death

he should die. The gospel said, he said, I'll

draw all men, I'll draw all men unto me.

He was lifted up in the way that he was describing in the gospel

at Calvary. It caused the draw upon mankind,

some with impure motives being drawn, others with a curiosity

being drawn. But the drawing started at

Calvary and it hasn't stopped. What that means is when you

converse with people we talk about out of our bellies afloat,

and it does. But what that means is you're

already talking to someone. The Spirit has been drawing

since Calvary. It's already drawn the way that

I envision it right now, tonight, let alone.

It's just like he's already got a rope on all those people and

he's pulling. But you know what happens

whenever I enter into what? He's already doing.

I'm just putting my hands on the rope.

It's just like a tug of war. Because the Bible speaks about.

We're either. Bound by the cords of love or

the cords of sin. And folks every.

Individual across this nation. Is in the.

Middle of a rope of a tug of war.

They're being pulled in One Direction by the.

Courts of. Sin and there's a strong pool

and you know how it is. Sometimes there's the line there

and you're just about ready to go over the line, but all of a

sudden love gets a hold of them. Love gets a hold of the other

side and puts a strong pool and they're just there between 2

worlds. We need more hands on the rope.

We need more hands on the rope. We need more hands on the rope.

There's a pool, there's a drone, but God's calling for more hands

on the rope. More hands on the rope.

I believe every new interaction is another tug.

Every new interaction, every, every conversation that's had

again is just another tug, another tug on the rope.

Same to me. What I'm saying this, I've been

in this town since 2007 as many of you.

I've talked to a lot of people, rubbed a lot of shoulders, got

to know and a lot of people have good friendships with them.

But every conversation Sister Sheila you have is just another

tug on the rope. Just another pool on the rope.

Hallelujah. And I just.

Believe enough in God that this tug is not going to turn into a

stalemate where there's no winners or no losers.

I believe God has ordained A tug and a pool of lives in this city

that he's going to win over through you through I believe

it. I believe it.

I believe it. Sometimes it takes time.

There's been an old girl I've been working on ever since I've

been before I got married. I told you all this story 1000

times. I was working at Emgees at the

time, packaging plant. Matter of fact, believe this, me

and the good Doctor Mason both worked there at the same time.

That was before he had any letters behind his name.

Already had Jr. Junior hasn't left me.

That's working in that packaging plant.

We're doing Arby's roast beef. Putting roast beef, folks,

whenever it comes out, it don't look like what's on your plate.

OK? We were working.

I worked a night shift. This girl down on the line.

We were both young. Then she started talking about

some things concerning her child.

She had a child already. I spoke some things back to her.

And I. Felt to speak, tears start

twinkle down her face on each side.

She broke down and begin to cry on that line.

For the past now 28 years or 29 years, I come in contact with

her. I've come in contact with her

for almost 30 years over and over again, and I always call

her by name. I asked her how she's doing.

I invite her to church. So you ought to come.

You know where we're at. Whenever your mom died, she came

to the visitation. She was at that time I think had

worked at Adda somewhere along the way, had been with your mom.

She came in there. I said I ain't go say her name

over here on live. But I said, girl, I said you

have no excuses. You know exactly where I'm at.

This is the church that I pastor and you have no excuses.

I seen her right before Easter, right before Easter in Walmart,

hollered back at her again. We now are both a little bit

more age. She has grandchildren, all that.

And I said, when are you going to come to church?

Easter's coming, you know that. And and then my wife said.

Is there anything that we can do to pray?

For you. Again, almost every time I've

ever talked to her. Tears come in her eyes and start

coming down her cheek. What are you doing?

Every talks another pool on the rope.

Every invitation is another pool on the rope.

You know what I believe? If she.

Ever came in this place and experience the Spirit?

Of the Lord it would be game over if she can start crying

just with me and her having a conversation it would be game

over because my God since Calvary has been pulling for her

and I feel the holy. Ghost right here.

Pulling for her. Some of y'all have lost family

pulling on the rope, you know. What they know.

They know what that tug feels like.

If they've ever sat on in a church view, they know.

What that tug feels like and. They're a little.

Too persuaded that I got to stay clear because if I.

If I ever tell them, I'll. Show up.

I'm going to feel that familiar tug.

It's going to touch those soft regions of my heart that's

longing for that drink that I used to have just at my arm's

distance all the time. So what do we do?

We invite. Them to summer kickoffs then,

and we invite them to annual chili suppers and we invite them

to. Maybe not a church setting, but

you know what? We're a grace and and some

other. People that don't.

Necessarily know them real well. Can just.

Put a tug. Let's raise our hands right now

to the Lord. His Spirit is here.

I'm just trying to be. Obedient to the Lord.

I wonder if we could just stand tonight, begin to gather in

these altars right now. Hallelujah.

The Old Testament scripture said that when Zion travails, sons

'S the church when she travails? When?

She gets in the. Pains of travail, Hallelujah.

The pain will only last for a little while, but she'll be

overcome with the joy that's the product of the womb.

I wonder if we could just make ourselves available as a womb

right now, all across this building, in this place.

Hallelujah, Begin to call out upon the name of the Lord.

Let's concentrate right now, in this moment.

communities and groups in this community over the past several

years with purpose and with the intent.

He's placed you there for a reason.

He's had your home relationships for a reason.

He's been setting something up. He's been setting something up.

He's been devising something that only God can devise.

Yes. The.

I feel impressed to have us do something back several weeks ago

now, I don't remember when it was, did a Southern region men's

conference. Brother Reese travelled with me,

Brother Alex was there. We had some talks there that day

and one of the individuals that was spoke, I heard him and his

wife speak on this before. The Troy Bibbs talking about

when they went through a period of time in their literal lives

where they were trying to have children, couldn't have

children. And I believe it was Brother

Lang that said, so why don't you go buy a car seat?

Don't you carry that car seat everywhere you go?

Put it in the car, take it to restaurants when you eat, take

it everywhere you go. They did went through the wall

and pull it back out, take stones and set it in the middle

of a river and then take them on the bank, I feel like.

And they got their baby, by the way, it took years, but they got

their baby. I feel in the Holy Ghost

tonight, those that I'm not looking for you to have a baby,

but if that happens, glory to God if you need one.

But I'm wondering, I don't care if it's if it's real, if it's a

baby one, it don't matter to me, but I just want you to start

carrying around for the babies here, carried around for the

babies here. Oh, how stupid.

Brother me. I'm just telling you what I feel

impressed in the Holy Ghost right now.

Start carrying around. What in the world are we doing?

I know it sounds allow me to be foolish, but let's carry it

around. Bring it to church and set it

beside you. Bring it to church and set it

beside you with anticipation that they will be sitting beside

you. A new baby in Christ.

Yeah. Whatever that.

Looks like to you, if it's not a car seat, there's something else

that embolizes that to you. So be it.

Amen. But, but let's, let's do that.

I just spell to the Holy Ghost that maybe we just need to do

that. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

do it. Lord, you know, Exodus, the

midwives that Egyptian midwives for that matter, that was tasked

with child, male child was born from those Israelites that they

were to do away with them, throw them away.

Shifra and Puah, I believe were their names.

The Bible says though, that they made this conversation that

these like women were so just vigorous and giving birth that

by the time we got in there, they're already born and all

this stuff has happened and the Lord knew what they were up to.

He says, well, because you have done that.

He said, I'm going to build you a house.

And it wasn't a literal home, water and all that he was

talking about. He was like, I'm going to give

you children because let me tell you, as a pastor, I'm going to

tell you something. I just realized today that I'm

celebrating this year, my 35th year in ministry, 35th year in

ministry. I started looking back over my

life just for a little bit. Sister Sheila and I just start

counting some things up. I've preached 18 camp meetings

in 10 different states in those 35 years.

I've preached in 15 different state penitentiaries.

And when it comes to conference stuff like that, I couldn't even

begin to try to trace it. What I'm saying, but I'm alone,

is this. I've been a midwife to a lot of

other people's children. I've stood in water.

In West Virginia, baptizing other people's babies.

I'm going to go Wednesday and baptize people that ain't

necessarily have an affiliation to a church.

I've. Preached camp meetings.

Where 20 some odd people received the Holy Ghost XYZ.

I'm just saying, God, would you build my house?

Because I've gotten my hands bloody for a lot of other

people. I've been there when the waters

broke for a lot of other people and he don't have to.

I understand that. I get that.

But I'm saying God can 35 years in.

Whatever's happened in those years of being a midwife for

you, Hallelujah, Jesus.
