According to The Code | Bishop McGee

Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus.

Amen. I'm glad he cares.

Amen. Praise the Lord.

Amen. I stand before you tonight.

I don't know. I don't.

I'm not up here very much anymore.

So Amen. You all have to help me tonight.

Praise the Lord, but I feel like I've got a word tonight that God

would speak to us about. Amen.

Been some time that this has been on my mind.

I've been working on it. It's just been kind of bits and

pieces put together. But I feel like God wants to say

something to the church tonight. Hallelujah.

I'm going to turn to Saint Matthew chapter #7 and read some

verses of scripture there that are very familiar to us.

Hallelujah, thank you Jesus. This sermon was on standby a few

times and I was asked to be on standby in case things changed.

And it wasn't, wasn't, didn't have to use it.

And so I I understand why because God wanted some more to

go with it. So let me read starting Chapter

7 and verse #24 of Matthew. Therefore, whosoever heareth

these sayings of mine, and do with them, I will liken him into

a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew

and beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was founded

upon a rock. And everyone that heareth these

sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened to a

foolish man which built his house upon the sand.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew

and beat up on that house, and it fell, and great was the fall

of it. Heavenly Father, I thank you for

your word. Your word is already anointed,

but I need you tonight to speak through these lips of clay.

I realize my nothingness, Lord, as I stand before you, but

knowing God, that you can move through me, Lord, because the

Holy Ghost is in me and I can do all things through Christ which

strengtheneth me. So I claim your word for this

people tonight. I claim your anointing.

I need it, Lord. I claim that anointing for Lord,

that you would move throughout this congregation and you would

speak to this people of God, that you would awaken us where

we're at. Lord, I pray in Jesus name.

In Jesus name you can be seated. Praise the Lord, Hallelujah.

I'll tell you the title in a little bit, but I want to.

It's been a good while back. Well, you know, Andrew, the

Hurricane Andrew. While back, I read a newspaper

article. This news reporter was on

assignment in southern Florida and he was filming the

destruction of Hurricane Andrew. And then one scene amid the

devastation and the Derbus stood one house on its foundation.

When the owner was asked why his house was still standing and the

rest was gone, he said, I built this house myself and I built it

according to the Florida State building codes.

And when the code called for 2 by 6 roof trusses, I used 2 by 6

roof trusses. And I was told that when the

house was built according to Florida building codes, it would

and could withstand a hurricane. I did and it did.

I want to preach tonight about this.

I want to preach according to the code.

According to the code. We need to build our

relationships with God according to the code.

And can I say it will stand? And we will stand if we build it

according to the code. Amen, Will it not?

Thank you, Jesus, Hallelujah, Amen.

And when I preach about this tonight, I want you to kind of

take a look at your life and see if everything in your life is

built according to the codes. I want to be able to stay in the

test of times. And we're living in perilous

times right now. If you look around you,

everything is messed up. The world's in a mess.

Nobody knows what to do. There's wars and rumors of wars.

Can I tell you Jerusalem is compassed about with armies?

And the Bible said when that happens, look up.

So I don't know about you, but I got my eyes not on this world,

but on heaven, because I don't believe we're far from that.

I don't believe it's very far till he's going to split the

eastern skies and come in the clouds of glory to receive His

church. Hallelujah.

And I, I began to think about this because I don't want to

fall in me to take me and others out because I didn't follow the

code, Amen. We must do this thing according

to the code or it's going to fail and we will fail and others

will fail because of us because we are our brother's keeper,

Amen. Hallelujah.

We are responsible for others and I sometimes I don't think we

realize how much responsibility lies on us whenever we take a

look at those around us that's watching us.

Amen. In Romans 14 and I got a bunch

of scripture tonight, so just hang with me.

Let us not therefore judge one another anymore, but judge this

rather that no man, everybody said no man put a stumbling

block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

Now I'm going to tell you that's hard to do, but we got to be

careful what we're doing. The codes can refer to a set of

laws or rules that are governor behavior and such as codes or

code of conduct. It can also represent a system

of principles that guide a person's actions, like a

personal code of honor. It can refer to Morris code

where dots and dashes represent letters or phrases and text

messages. I remember as a as a, as a kid,

we live close to a young man that, that done this.

He was had ham radio and he, he would get in there and he taught

me a little Morris code and, and we got on there and talk to

people with that thing that did, did da da and all that junk.

I don't remember none of it now, but anyway, back then, a little,

a little bit of it. Amen.

So I'm going to tell you that we have got a job to do to stick to

the code. Hallelujah.

However, a Christian code of conduct is this generally it

emphasizes love for God and others.

Amen. Living according to biblical

principles and reflecting. Everybody said reflecting,

reflecting Christ's character in all actions and relationships.

In other words, it's as if we looked in the mirror that when

people looked at us, they seen God and they didn't see us.

And I pray to God that they don't see us, but let them see

the Christ that's in me. Let them see what I stand for.

Let them see what kind of a person I am only because of God,

Hallelujah. Thank you Jesus, Hallelujah, all

glory, Hallelujah. I want to reflect him,

Hallelujah. This includes both positive

actions like loving and serving others, and refraining from

actions that contradict Christian values.

I wonder how much God they see in us when we walk among this

world. Amen.

They need to see us and and see the not see us, but see the God

that we serve. They need to see who we

represent. Hallelujah.

So we got to be careful of our life and how we live Pacific

aspects from from in the in the honesty and purity and kindness

and and diligence with a focus on glorifying God in all aspects

of her life. You're saying a big thing when

you say I'm glorifying God and everything I do.

I haven't got there yet. I'm going to tell you, but I

want to get there. I want to glorify my God and

everything I want to do. And then everything that I do, I

want to question him in which way I should go and where I

should go and how I should act and what I do Amen.

It's core principles, the foundation of Christian ethics

is based on the two of the greatest commandments, loving

God with all your heart, soul and mind, and loving your

neighbor as yourself. In other words, we'll think as

much of our neighbors we do us and say, well I do, brother

McGee, do you? I don't know.

Would you take care of your neighbor like you take care of

yourself? Hey, man, when you go and look

in the mirror of the morning before you go to work, I don't

care if you're going to work. You want to look good.

Yeah. You don't want to be look like a

tramp. You know, you, you you get it

all together, the hair fixed, you know, and let get every hair

in place and put on the cap, you know, guys, and you mess it all

up. But that's all right.

It was there. It was in place when you put the

cap on, Amen. So here we are.

We're in this place today, in this world, when the world is

taking a fine tooth comb to the Christian, Amen.

They judge everything we do. They judge how we act Come on.

The foundation of Christian ethics is based on those two

things. Loving God with all of our soul,

mind and spirit and loving our neighbor as our self and we need

to live by grace. Christians are called according

to God's grace avoiding and then I I could stop here a minute

avoiding even the very appearance of evil.

Even if it's something that don't look right or don't sound

right. We got to be careful of what we

do Amen. And not using freedom as an

opportunity for sin behavior. Using our freedom to sin can't

do that. Then we got a glorifying God is

another core principle. Every action, every thought,

every feeling should be aimed at bringing glory to God.

I could go on and on and on, but you get the idea where we're

going. We need to build according to

the code, Amen. We got to live according to the

code. And if you're thinking, well,

that we don't have a code, Oh yeah, we got a code to go by.

There is a code in here to go by, and we're to live by that

code. Amen.

Let's go. And then let's get into this in

Acts 17, verse 27 and 28. And they should seek the Lord,

Acts 17:27

if happily they might feel after him and find him, though he be

not far from every one of us, that they should seek the Lord.

You know I can we need to change that little bit that we or that

we should seek the Lord, if happily we might find him that

we not they, but we we need to insert we in there might feel

after him and find him, though he be not far from any one of

us. For he and him, everybody said

in him we live and move and have our being as certain as our own

poets have said, for we are also his offspring.

I like something that Job said, he said.

Oh, that I knew where I might find Him, Glory.

Oh, that I knew where I might find him, that I might come to

His seat. Glory.

Hallelujah. Then I could go on down and I

can catch a couple more verses. 4 through 6.

I would order my calls before Him, fill my mouth with

arguments. I would know the words which He

would answer me, and understand what He would say unto me.

Will He plead against me with His power?

No, but He would put strength in me.

Joe believes us. Job leaves us with a thing and

kind of something that we can kind of maybe venture in on a

little bit, he said. I wish I could find his seat.

I wish I could find God's seat, indicating that it was something

that you got to search for. I'm going to tell you, if you

want to find God, you're going to have to search after him.

Come on. If we search after him, we'll be

filled. Come on.

But we got to search and find his seat.

I don't know. You know, why else would he want

to find God's seat? And else he's figured on sitting

down with him a little bit. I don't know, maybe he's going

to sit down beside God and say, Hey, God, or and I don't know,

he might be going to kneel before him a little bit and say,

Hey, God, I need you today. I got some things, I got some

questions for you. You know, there's times we need

to deal down before God and ask Him some questions.

I don't know about you, but I got questions every day for God.

Hallelujah. And He's got answers for us, but

our ears have to be sensitive to listen.

I've always, I've always been taught when I pray and, and I

used to do it all he pastoring all those years.

I would pray and I may pray for hours, but you know, before I

got through with my prayer, I would have a quiet time before

God's OK God, I'll give you everything I want.

I've I've, I've prayed to you, I've worshipped you.

I've done all this. Now, Lord, I've got open ears.

Speak to me. Maybe that's what Job was

talking about. He wanted to find God so he

could get in his presence and hear him.

You know, sometime we need quiet time with God, Amen.

Where everything is quiet and God can speak in our ear because

he don't always, he don't holler at us.

He, he talks in a still, small voice sometime, man.

Yeah. Elijah was in The Cave and it

wasn't in the earthquake. And wasn't in the fire.

It was nothing like that. But there was a still small

voice. There was the earthquake and

it's shattered, made all kinds of noise.

It scared him to death. Because if you'll find in that

scripture, he was standing, he had come out to the outside.

But when all that stuff that he went back in The Cave.

But when that still small voice, he wrapped himself up, he, he

felt some chills come on. He felt the presence of God.

And that's when God spoke. It was in the still small voice.

It wasn't at all the clatter and it wasn't at all the noise.

But it's when he got alone with God.

So what do you hear? Elijah, he met, he spoke to him

in a still small voice. So we need to find his seat.

This is a good place to start because we need to feel after

him. We need to we need to search out

God. Amen.

If we are his offspring then we are in need of our daddy.

Come on, I said if we are his offspring and we are, then we

need our daddy. So by shout, Amen.

See he is my daddy and I need him to be in charge of my

affairs and family. Hallelujah.

There are too many today that want him as Lord, but not Lord

of their life. Come on, Hallelujah.

You know they want to. They want him to answer their

prayers. They want him to answer their

needs. You know, their financial

things. They'll bring all of those

things before him and they'll lay them down at his feet

because they want him to answer all of that, but they don't want

him to control their life. This is the world we live in

today. They want him, Lord of their

life to a point. I want you to take care of me,

Lord. And I want, I want to be able to

pray in the midnight hours when nobody else around, when I can't

get a hold of the doctor, you know, when I ain't got the money

to go to ER. I I want you to do something for

me then, Lord. But if you're figured on taking

care of my file over my finances, no, no, no, no, no.

I can handle that. But you know what?

It ain't your finances anyhow. It's his.

Can I tell you it's not? 10% is his.

It's all his. You wouldn't have nothing if it

wasn't for him. You think you worked and done

it? No, you didn't.

God done it. Come on, He can take every ounce

of strength from you and you'd have nothing.

God can train you overnight and there won't be nothing left.

But if you let Him be Lord of your life, He'll guide you in

the right direction. I'm going to be truthful with

you. We wouldn't have nothing,

wouldn't forgot. I'm speaking by experience now.

I'm speaking to myself. We weren't rich.

We raised our kids, and we was poor people.

I probably got more today than I've ever had in my life.

Come on, you know why? Because I found God.

I found this seat. I found where I could talk to

him. I found where we could have

communication together. And then I found out that if I

would sit down and talk to him, he'd give me a little guidance.

Hallelujah. Well, glory, I felt a little go,

a little clump, but that's all right.

If I hit you on your toes, just leave the other down or I hit it

pretty soon. Hallelujah.

It's according to the code, y'all.

We need the Holy Ghost. We need we, we've got a code to

follow. He, he want, I want the good

things, Lord, I want all this good stuff you've got for me.

That's God, you know, got TV preachers that preach, you know,

seed faith. You, you give us so much in

order. Now the Bible don't teach that.

No, you give him everything and then he gives you back.

He gives. Come on.

I'm sorry, but pastor's right. It's open hand on both sides.

It flows in, flows out. Hallelujah.

But you know what he won't leave you without.

That's right. He won't leave you without.

He'll take care of his own, I promise that.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah. They want everything that he's

noted for. You know, he can do all things,

but you know, I can say that he does all things through Christ,

which strengtheneth me, comes from him.

But he's got to be the one in control.

Man, there is a code to follow. Acts 238 gives a very good

example. This is a code to file.

Then Peter said to them, repent and be baptized, everyone of you

in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you

shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Now let me let me just call that back a little bit.

There is no promise of the Holy Ghost without baptism in Jesus

name. Repent, be baptized everyone in

the name of Jesus Christ and you shall receive the Holy Ghost.

But without the Holy Ghost, without being baptized in Jesus

name, there is no promise of the Holy Ghost.

If he does it, he's just having mercy on you.

Hallelujah. So Jesus name baptism is a part

of the code. Amen.

See repentance is and we got to we got to look at this because

repentance is turning around. You make a 180, you're going in

the opposite direction. You're not going the way you

used to. I've changed directions.

Now I'm going to go with the Lord.

Now I've I've been on the devil's side.

Now I'm headed toward the Lord. I'm in his favor.

Thank you Jesus, Hallelujah. Taking his name and then washing

your sins away. Baptism in Jesus name, it washes

your sins away. Amen.

And then receiving the Holy Ghost with tongues as the

evidence. Acts 2 and four says they were

all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other

tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Come on, this thing is not something that's taught.

It's not something that you learned in some school or was

taught, but it's it's God-given. It's a language.

All right, yes, I said it's a language.

It's something you wasn't taught.

You know how blessed you are to come up in the Apostolic Church

and know what the Holy Ghost is. There's some that grew up.

It don't know has to be explained to them.

They don't understand that what is this Jubilee shit they're

talking in? What is this going on?

Hallelujah Hallelujah Acts 1044 through 48.

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on

all them which heard the word. He just hearing the word they

were fit, and they have circumcision which believed were

astonished as many as came with Peter, because that on the holy

that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy

Ghost. Now listen verse #46 for they

heard everybody said they heard them speak with tongues and

magnify God. I'm going to tell you the reason

they knew they had the Holy Ghost is because they heard

them. You know this baloney that when

you repent you receive the Holy Ghost is just what I said.

It's a bunch of baloney because there's a sound that comes with

it. Why you think that?

There was a sound of the Russian mighty wind that filled the

house. What do you think that was?

It was a Holy Ghost coming in and filling people and they

began to speak in tongues as the Spirit give them utterance.

These also, even after that day in Acts 10, when when they heard

the word, they were filled with the Holy Ghost, for they heard

them speak with tongues. That's the way you know you've

got. It's when you speak in tongues

that is the outward manifestation of the inward

Spirit. When He takes up residence

inside you, you'll speak in tongues.

Glory Hallelujah, thank you Jesus and Peter said can any man

forbid water that these should not be baptized, which have

received the Holy Ghost as well as we and he commanded them to

be baptized in the name of the Lord and they prayed then prayed

they him to carry tarry certain days.

Now since you have the Holy Ghost, it's time to be holy.

Everybody said Holy, holy Hallelujah, because acts one and

eight says, but ye shall receive power.

Everybody said power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you,

and ye shall be witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem and all

Judea and Samaria, unto the uttermost part of the earth.

It's a code. It's a code.

You got to follow the code. If you want your house to stand,

you got to follow the code. Thank you, Jesus.

And now we've got the power, because when we receive the Holy

Ghost, we receive power. See, we can't live this on our

own. Hey, they tried the law.

Nobody could live but the law. And I'm going to tell you it's

still today. The only way we can do it is by

the power that dwells in US called the Holy Ghost.

When he give us the Holy Ghost, that's the only thing can make

you holy. It's a Holy Ghost.

Why you think they call it the Holy Ghost?

It's because it's holy. It it gives you the power to

become. Everybody said become.

We need that power to become because we can't do it

ourselves. I need the power to become

something. I can't live it without that

power to become. Is this important?

Oh yes it is. Let's see what the Bible says in

Hebrews 12 and verse #14 He said follow peace with all men and

holiness. Everybody said holiness, without

which no man shall see the well without the Holy Ghost, you

ain't even gonna see. I'm sorry.

I know you know people, I'm sorry, but there there's a lot

of people today that's preaching deathbed repentance.

Now say got the Holy Ghost. I'm sorry.

Now say got the Holy Ghost. I'm sorry.

There's nothing to change you. This body shall be changed.

You know how it's changed from the Holy Ghost that dwells in

you. It's going to be changed from

mortal to immortal. It's a new body, Hallelujah.

Old things passed away and be cold.

All things become new, Hallelujah.

It's the power to become. It's the code, Amen.

And without it no man shall see the Lord, Not going to see him,

not going to lay hand the eyes on him at all.

Leviticus 11 and 44 says, For I am the Lord your God, and ye

shall therefore everybody said, sanctify yourself.

OK, we're back under the law, and ye shall be holy.

Neither shall you defile yourselves with any manner of

creeping thing. It creepeth upon the earth.

The word sanctify there in the Hebrew means observe as clean.

It means to be dedicated. It means to be consecrated.

It means to be hallowed. That's set aside holy for the

Master's sake. It means to be purified,

purified, holy, or all or complete.

It's a code. Somebody said it's code man

first. Peter 116 says because it is

written, be a holy for I am holy.

Hallelujah. I read something here while back

that said this and I liked it. It said people become what they

behold. I'm, I know I might be meddling,

but I wonder, I wonder what kind of live a life we're living

every day when we're out in the workplace or we're at

McDonald's. I wonder if we're portraying

Christ. Come on, I wonder.

I wonder if we're telling jokes. That's not clean.

I wonder what we're doing on the computer, kind of pictures.

Are we looking at What are we doing?

There's a code in this thing, and we got to follow the code.

It's strict. This is a straight way straight

as the gate narrows away and few few there be that find it.

Hell was a long one, enlarged itself.

It wasn't heaven. So I don't know about you, but

almost sounds like there's a lot more going to hell than our

heaven. Glory, Hallelujah, glory people.

People become what they behold. That's what they marvel at or

what they look at. That's the kind of life they

live or see somebody else live. Stevie Sanders, you sing a song

years ago and on the Jubilee on Sunday morning, he'd say he'd

sing. You're the only Bible that some

people read. You know what?

We got to be careful because some people, they may not ever

pick up the book, but they're watching your life.

They are watching you. Oh, they are watching you.

They're waiting on you to make a mistake.

They're waiting on you to say something off color.

They are. They're waiting on you to make a

mistake so they can talk about it.

Hallelujah. I want you to remember something

we need to remember. We are clad in the garb of Adam,

the old man, I said. We are clad in the garb of Adam,

the old man, Ephesians 422 through 27 that ye put off.

Everybody said. Put off concerning the former

conversation, the old man which is corrupt according to the

deceitful lust, and be renewed. Everybody said renewed in the

spirit of your mind, Oh God, Hallelujah that that Spirit that

lived in him live also in me. Thank you Jesus, and that you

put on the new man. Everybody said the new man which

after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Verse 25 wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth

with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.

Be angry and sin not I don't know where you figure that out

yet, but the truth is, is the only thing we got to be angry

about sin. Let not the sun go down upon

your wrath neither give place to the devil.

I don't know whether you've I don't know whether you've kind

of come up with it yet. But the truth is there's got to

be a dividing line. There's got to be a dividing

line. Maybe I already made.

I don't know you with this side here, this.

Come on, there's a dividing line.

And I want to tell you what, the closer you get to the dividing

line, the more chances that you are to become a part of it.

So may I tell you tonight that it's not how close you can get

to sin and not nibble in it, but it's how far you can stay away

from it? It's not how close you can get

to the world and still live for God, but it's how far you can

get away from it. Hallelujah.

I don't want to be a part of the world.

Come on. I don't know about you, but when

that trumpet sounds, I want to be ready to move.

Get out of here. But you can't live too close to

the biting line. Hallelujah.

I want to tell you something. Holiness is a garment we must

put on. We might say Amen.

It's a garment we must put on. It's a garment we must put on.

Amen. We got to be different.

Come on. There are to be an external

difference between the Christian and the Sinner.

Come on. There is a dividing line.

There is a separating point. You know you can only hang

around the center very long. You can't make them a steady

diet or you'll be one of them. If you get around somebody

that's a questionable in their walk with God, if you're not

careful, you'll pick up on their habits that aren't good.

Come on. So the best thing we can do,

sometimes I don't care if it's our family, sometimes you got to

separate yourself from them. I don't mean that in a mean way,

but you just don't want a steady diet of them.

I'm not saying don't go see them, but if they're doing

things while you're there that you don't agree with, you know

what I do? I pack up and leave.

I don't want to come on. I don't want them to think that

I say what they're doing is all right.

So I'm not going to get too close to the dividing line.

I'm going to separate myself from them.

Not that I don't love them, but I don't love what they're doing

and I don't agree with what they're doing.

So I'm going to put on a different garment.

I got to put on a garment of separation.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Romans 1314 says put

on you, the Lord Jesus Christ got to put him on and make not

provisions for the flesh to fulfill the lust thereof.

The different garment you got to put on the right garment.

Come on, Galatians 3 verse #27 for as many as you have been

baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

In other words, if you've got the Holy Ghost, you've put on

Christ. So I don't know about you, but

if Christ and you don't change you, then you really haven't got

Him. Hallelujah, it's getting quiet.

Hallelujah, Jesus. Thank you Jesus.

Hallelujah. Colossians 312 through 14.

Put on, therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved.

Now, now, we getting down here to the business bowels of mercy,

kindness, humbleness of mine. It's not about me, but it's

about him. Meekness, long-suffering.

Boy, that's a hard one to bear sometimes.

I don't know about you. You ever found anybody you

couldn't? That'll work on you.

Horry. Hallelujah.

Oh, about you. But I get very humble then

forbearing one another and forgiving you mean to God

forgive them, forgive one another.

If any man have a quarrel against any, even as Christ

forgave you, so also do you. And above all these things put

on everybody said charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

Well, I tell you, let's go back here and catch another

scripture. Let's go back here and catch

first Peter 4:00 and 8:00. And above all things, have

fervent charity, fervent charity for everybody said fervent

charity among yourselves. For charity shall cover the

multitude of sins. You're down business here in a

minute. Charity love.

Everybody said charity is love. Bible says charity cover of a

multitude. That blanket's not big enough, I

know that. But just to give you a little

idea that you, if you could write all your sins on it and

put it down, the blanket would cover them because it'll cover

them altitude of sins. Come on.

Hallelujah, Jesus. And the Bible says the Holy

Ghost is our what comforter. You know that comforter is

usually the thing that goes on the bed last.

It covers everything. It covers all the sheets.

That call covers everything under it now, OK.

If charity, a love, will cover a multitude of sins, then the Holy

Ghost will take care of the rest.

It'll comfort you. It'll be your comforter.

It'll cover all things. Oh, I like it.

Thank you. Jesus, Hallelujah.

And then Matthew 514, you are the light of the world.

City that's set on a hill cannot be hid.

What you've got can't be hid. Once you receive it, you'll

never forget it. In fact, once you receive it,

you'll never be satisfied until you get back to it.

You can go as far away from God as you want.

Come on, I said, You can go far away from God after you've once

known him. You can go as far away from God

that is, you want, but you'll never be satisfied until you

come back to Him. It'll be a miserable life that

you live without Him. Glory.

Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

A city set on a hill that can you cannot be.

You can't hide no place. Because every place you go,

somebody's going to recognize that you've known God.

Neither do men light a candle, put it on a under a bushel.

Can't. I can't hide it but on a

Candlestick, and it giveth light to all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good

works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Let them see your good works. That ain't saying you hide

everything else. What it's saying is it's your

good works is going to outshine everything else.

Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus, Haggai 29 I'm

about to close. The glory of this latter house

shall be greater than the farmer, saith the Lord of hosts.

And in this place will I get peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

I'm going to get to this one last point.

I want to talk about the fruit of the Spirit.

How many times have you heard it said fruits of?

There's nine fruits of the Spirit.

It's not fruits, it's fruit and I'll tell you why because love

is 1 fruit. All the other things that follow

love are attributes of love and varieties of love.

Think about this. Joy is love singing.

Peace is love. Resting long-suffering is love.

Enduring gentleness is Love's touch.

Faithfulness is Love's habit. You want to get a habit?

Get that. Meekness is Love's denying self.

Meekness is Love's denying self. Temperance is love holding the

reins. Temperance is love holding the

reins. So holiness is a big deal.

And the code that we follow is a big deal because if we will

follow the code, we will stand. It will stand with us a man.

One verse of Scripture first John 4:00 and 8:00 and I'm

closing. He that loveth not God knoweth

not God, for God is love. He that loveth not knoweth not

God, for God is love. I don't know about you tonight,

but I want to be living according to the code and I

could carry on from here and go a long ways yet.

Oh Lord Jesus, I want us to take inventory tonight of our lives.

Can't tell you how many times I've inventoried my life when I

was putting this together. Thank Lord.

Am I according to the code? If I failed you in any area,

Lord, what do I need to do to straighten it up?

I don't want us to miss the mark.

This is a straight and a narrow way.

And if we can't walk it like that, then we're in trouble.

There may be some things in your life that you need to change.

You may need to move away from the fence a little bit, get away

from the dividing line a little bit.

Not that it's going to ZAP you or take you in, but don't see

how close you can get to sin and still stand for God because our

flesh is weak. Catch us at the wrong time and

we may bow to that step across the line.

And what if, when we step across that line, our life ends and we

miss heaven? I believe some people are

leaving, living too close to the edge.

They're flirting with the devil, flirting with sin.

Be careful your sins will find you out.
