Let's give that to the Lord. Come on.
-
He's worthy. He is worthy.
-
He is worthy. Hallelujah.
-
It's good to be in the presence of God.
-
Amen. Good to be in the presence of
-
God. It's good to be here with you.
-
Give great honor to brother and Sister McGee and of course elder
-
Brother McGee. We honor this family and I tell
-
you what, if I was as talented as the Mcgee's and Masons, I
-
wouldn't have to be so good looking.
-
Easy, easy laughing there and I'm just kidding, but what a
-
blessing it is. I I want to compliment you on
-
something the Lord has has blessed me to travel a lot of
-
places just like your pastor and I want to compliment the
-
authenticity of your worship, the authenticity of your worship
-
team. That's not everywhere there.
-
There may be somewhere that has more instruments or more volume
-
or whatever, but there was a a sweetness that appointed that
-
worship today. But I don't think we need to
-
take lightly. And this is just what we do
-
here. This is anointed authenticity I
-
think. We ought to just thank the Lord
-
for. It thank you, Jesus.
-
Thank you Jesus. Hallelujah.
-
Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus.
-
Thank you Jesus. I I'll, I'll get to preach in a
-
moment, but I do want to say sincerely that I honor brother
-
and sister McGee so much, and it's interesting to.
-
Sort of grow. Up in the same district and tend
-
a lot of functions, but not always get to know each other.
-
And so we're thankful we got back to our hotel last night.
-
We're very thankful that we had a few moments with them.
-
And through the years, brother, me, McGee and I have been teamed
-
up preaching things. And I always tell people, I said
-
I don't know if it's the joke's on him or me, but we're we're
-
two different animals. The Bible says not to hook two
-
different kind of animals up. I don't know.
-
I don't know who's the ox and who's the, but we're just.
-
But I I say that as I'm. Saying it in jest, but truly
-
that's always challenged me because he's such a student of
-
the Word and I know you know this and he doesn't need me to
-
say this, but you have a pastor that is also a great preacher
-
and that's not always common either.
-
And I'm thankful for their ministry and Sister McGee and
-
all that they've done and just appreciative to be here with you
-
today, brother. Cook, I'm so sorry.
-
I know we met a few weeks ago in Kentucky.
-
When I walked in, I looked at you, I thought.
-
That guy looks like that guy. I met in Kentucky and turns out
-
it is you. I'm going to preach about.
-
Vision today you can see I need help with it but Amen Mark
-
chapter #10 I greet this church family and say thank you to all
-
of you that are here. I know the Mcgee's feel this
-
way, I feel this way back home. I don't take it lightly when
-
anybody walks in the doors, anybody that's got up and made a
-
choice to be in church with us, it's it's an honor.
-
And so I'm honored that you're here with us today.
-
And the good news is it'll be over soon.
-
Mark, Chapter 10, verse 49. Familiar passage.
-
I wouldn't dare try to be revelatory this morning, not
-
with the preaching you've heard. I didn't say it, but Elder
-
Mcgee's no slouch when it comes to preaching either, that's for
-
sure. Yeah, he preached a meeting in
-
North Vernon years ago. I'd never heard him preach.
-
I didn't know what to expect. And about the third or fourth
-
time he took off running, I didn't know if he's going to
-
fall over dead or what. But I can, Brother McGee.
-
I ain't going to do no running today, I can assure you that.
-
Mark, chapter 10, verse 49, Jesus stood still and commanded
-
him to be called. And they called the blind man,
-
saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rides he calleth thee.
-
And he, casting away his garments, rose and came to
-
Jesus. There's a sermon all and all of
-
that Jesus answered and said unto him, What will thou that I
-
should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him,
-
Lord, that I might receive my sight.
-
Jesus said unto him, Go thy way, thy faith have made thee whole.
-
And immediately, somebody say immediately he received his
-
sight and followed Jesus in the way I.
-
I want to. Preach for a few moments today
-
on this thought. Heal me that I may see Heal me
-
that I may see if I I I went back to try to change my title
-
but I was afraid it was going to mess with too much stuff.
-
But I, I went back there and said if we could change it, I
-
would change it to the restoration of sight.
-
And, and I truly believe, I truly believe that God wants to
-
let there be a recovery of sight in this room so that we walk out
-
of here seeing our God and seeing our world a little
-
different than when we came in. Could we worship him one more
-
time together today? Could you lift your voice and
-
just magnify him? Thank you Jesus.
-
Thank you. Oh, clap your.
-
Hands and praise him one more time, man, you can be seated.
-
Heal me that I may see I, I, I. Don't think that.
-
There's any of us? Would disagree this morning with
-
this thought. This carpet's real soft.
-
That's why I asked him. I said can I go?
-
Out there it feels good on my foot.
-
We all understand the importance of sight.
-
It's been over a decade ago now. I've, I've wore glasses since I
-
was a kid, but I woke up 1 morning and it felt like, or it
-
seemed like I had something in my eye.
-
And so I went to the restroom and begin to wash my eye out And
-
it was like, like I had sleep or something in my eye and, and
-
just, I, I couldn't see everything was blurry.
-
And you know the, the quick way to know that is you, you look at
-
your phone and I, I couldn't read none of the messages.
-
And so I went and kept washing my eyes out, never improved.
-
And over the course of time, I went to a few different
-
specialist and what what they discovered was somewhere in the
-
night, a blood vessel had burst in my eye.
-
The problem is, Brother McGee, it was in the the only good I
-
had and that blood had pulled behind my retina.
-
And I'll never forget when the specialist said to us, he said
-
there's nothing we can do about that.
-
Maybe in time it'll clear up, maybe it won't and we can go in
-
here and do a surgery and, and, and prevent further bleeding,
-
but there's nothing we can do about the damage that's done.
-
And so boy, that started me on a journey.
-
I should have turned my license in.
-
Not my preaching license, my driving license.
-
You might think I should turn them in when I get done today,
-
but it's early. Give me a chance.
-
But I, I couldn't hardly see and, and, but you can, you can
-
drive without seeing on this, on this side.
-
They got bumps to let you know you're getting too far.
-
There's the reflectors in the middle, you know, But my, our
-
assistant pastor, I grew up with him and he'd come to church
-
early and I would tell him, I'd say, I think over there in, in
-
Leviticus, there's a scripture about such and such.
-
That's what. I want to preach on tonight.
-
You're going to have to read it to him.
-
This was. This was right around the.
-
The time that iPads and digital Bibles were getting popular, but
-
there was really no way at that time to manipulate the text.
-
And so I I never preach at a Leviticus.
-
I just was trying to see what your face would say when I said
-
that. But but but.
-
That went on for some time and thank God through surge a couple
-
different things with my eyes, my vision has improved.
-
So you you could ride with me after church and you'd pretty
-
well. Be safe, but vision and sight is
-
very important. But I I don't believe today that
-
there's any sight more important than the vision of the soul.
-
And and I want to deal today if the Lord will help me with three
-
or four areas of sight that I believe God wants to let this
-
church experience a recovering of sight to.
-
So if you'll help me with the first couple, I don't want to
-
insult you in any way. So just just act like it's the
-
first time you're hearing some of this.
-
But I think that number one, there needs to be the recovering
-
of how we see God. They they, they set me up to get
-
excited when they ended worship with who is like the Lord,
-
because I'll tell you today, there's nobody like the Lord.
-
Unto him be all glory and honor and power.
-
He's worthy of it. And I, I will tell you that
-
there's nothing the enemy of your soul and mine would like
-
more than for us to dumb down God, to be like one of us.
-
I believe you're great people, but nobody's like God.
-
I believe you're faithful people, but nobody's as faithful
-
as God. There is no body like God.
-
In Deuteronomy there's a scripture and I won't read it
-
all, but he can. Expose you to it today.
-
It simply ends with this. It says he will not fail thee.
-
Can I tell you there's not another human?
-
And he's not a human, but, but there's not another person on
-
the planet. To which you can say, He will
-
not fail thee. You've you've got a good pastor,
-
but you can't say it's impossible for him to fail you
-
because there's error in all of us humans.
-
But when it comes to God, he cannot fail you.
-
He cannot disappoint you. He can't let you down.
-
He can't walk away from you. He can't give up on you.
-
He can't give in on you. There's nobody like God.
-
See the problem? The problem often is this.
-
Is that if you don't know God, you'll make him like the people
-
you do know. And we can't have you going
-
around making God like your mother-in-law.
-
We can't have you going around making God like the guy on the
-
job that's done your wrong 50 times.
-
We can't make God like the people.
-
We do know that there is nobody. Like him?
-
There's no one that that that moves and operate.
-
Listen to me. Every one of us is subject to
-
time. It's about 10:50.
-
Your your hostage situation will be over shortly.
-
We're we're all stuck right here about 10:50.
-
But God's not stuck there. He stands outside of time.
-
He moves outside of time. He sees the past, the present.
-
And the future in one glance. There ain't nobody else can do
-
that. The good news of that is, is
-
when you're in a struggle, God's not in the struggle with you.
-
He stands on the outside of it. And while you're in pain, they
-
mentioned it singing today, while you're in the middle of
-
your pain, God is standing at the day of your deliverance.
-
Oh, somebody magnify him with me.
-
There's, there's a, a principle or a law, if you could say it
-
that way of first mention in the Bible, and I love that.
-
And, and that has disproved a few sermons of mine through the
-
years. But but if you, if you want to
-
think about the law first mention, let's talk about where
-
do we first see God in the in the beginning, God created the
-
heavens and the earth. The earth was dark and void
-
without form and darkness is upon the face of the, the spirit
-
of the Lord moved. What, what, what's the point of
-
you reading Genesis to his preacher?
-
It's to tell you that before there was anything, there was
-
the faithfulness of God. That means you can't go through
-
anything that the faithful of faithfulness of God will not
-
stand true if you're sick in the hospital.
-
The faithfulness of. God is there.
-
If you're being blessed, the faithfulness of God is there.
-
It does not matter it heads or tails, the faithfulness of God
-
is there. And it's important that you know
-
that because the devil would love for you and I to see our
-
God through the lens of our struggle.
-
But I'm telling you, God is greater than my struggle.
-
He's greater than my pain. He's greater than my difficulty.
-
He's greater than what I go through.
-
He's greater than my disease. He's greater than my injury.
-
He's greater than my family trouble.
-
He's greater than my There's nobody like my God.
-
Oh, clap your hands and love him with me.
-
You come by. Too late to tell me God will
-
fail you. I'm not going to go into.
-
Details. But about a year ago I had a
-
accident. That's why I strut the way I do
-
when I saw you watching me walk. It's a strut, not a limp.
-
Don't go telling people that Preacher had a limp.
-
The strut. You're too young for this.
-
But it ain't quite the George Jefferson Walk.
-
But it is a strut. I would tell you, I have people
-
come, well, many people come to me after that accident and say,
-
I know, I know your faith is tested and it's weary and, and
-
and you're wondering why is God letting all this happen to you?
-
And I thought, I want to say to him, well, I wasn't wondering
-
about none of that to you said it to me.
-
And thank you for helping me go into a trial of my faith.
-
I never one time thought that. When I was stuck laying up under
-
that machine in my field begging for help, I knew God was with
-
me. When I walked into or when I was
-
wheeled in off a helicopter into U of L hospital, I knew God was
-
with me. When I was trying to recover, I
-
knew God was with me. When I got infection and got
-
sick again, I knew God was with me.
-
When I got a third infection and had another surgery, I knew God
-
was with me. You come by too late to tell me
-
my God will not fail you. My God will not disappoint you.
-
My. God, he was faithful in Genesis
-
and he will be faithful now. Oh, clap your hands and praise
-
Him tonight. So I'm not going to let the
-
devil change my view of God. I say there ought to be a
-
recovering of sight to the body of Christ right now if there was
-
ever an hour. We understood the answer to all
-
of the world's problems is Jesus.
-
It is the answer to it all. And I'm not going to see my God
-
less than I'm going to lift him up as high as I can lift him up.
-
Oh, let's praise him together. Well, how should we see him?
-
I'll tell you how Prophet Isaiah told us.
-
He said in the year that King Isaiah died, I saw the Lord.
-
How did he seem? Hi.
-
And lifted up, He said. I saw him high and lifted up.
-
And his train filled the temple, He said, He said when I got a
-
new view of God, he said when something died, I got a new view
-
of God and I realized he was high and lifted up.
-
I don't know this region very well, but I can tell you the
-
highest thing in Mount Carmel is God.
-
The greatest thing in Mount Carmel is.
-
God. Come on, you come by too late to
-
tell me that God's not high and lifted up.
-
Do you believe today that your God is greater?
-
He's greater, He's greater, He's greater.
-
Hallelujah, I wasn't planning on even mentioning any of this
-
today, but when I was going through all this mess with my
-
foot, I couldn't hardly sleep at night.
-
And there would be moments, Sister McGee, where it was like
-
somebody opened the door of my home.
-
I was sleeping in a recliner right by the door.
-
I made a move, my recliner. It was freaking me out a little
-
bit. I'm going to be honest with you.
-
But I could feel a presence walk in my house and and Elder McGee,
-
I would feel a fear come over me.
-
And I would feel a darkness come over me, and I was so feeble of
-
body at that time. I couldn't get up and stomp and
-
praise God. But I'd lift my feeble hands and
-
all I could get out was God, I love you.
-
And I would feel that presence immediately.
-
Leave my home. Don't let anything stop your
-
praise because praise invites the presence.
-
And if you can get the presence of God there, it's.
-
Greater than anything else. Why don't we praise Him right
-
now? Why don't you clap your hands
-
and magnify him? I'd be embarrassed elder, I'd be
-
embarrassed if y'all would have saw me in that condition and all
-
I could do was lift him feeble hands and and through a broken
-
spirit and for whatever reason I felt like a broken heart, I'd
-
say God I love you. Oh God, I love you.
-
And immediately, a few days later, I got to thinking about
-
that and God put it in my spirit.
-
He said, don't you realize the greatest attack even on the body
-
of Christ right now is fear and anxiety?
-
But you learn just a simple mention of my name causes that
-
to flee and causes that to leave.
-
Somebody ought to shout Jesus over Mount Carmel.
-
Somebody ought to shout Jesus at first Apostolic.
-
Somebody ought to believe that if I praise him, the enemy will
-
be driven out. Oh, let's love the Lord
-
together. So I hope, I hope to the body of
-
Christ there comes a recovering of sight to how we see our God.
-
If there's not, we're going to die in life's dilemmas.
-
And so as we move this morning, I say let there be a recovering
-
of our sight about God. The next dimension of sight I'd
-
like to talk about for a moment is this.
-
It's how we see ourselves. Now don't worry, I'm not going
-
to preach into a narcissistic fit of any kind, but I want to
-
tell you today that if we don't get an image of ourselves that
-
we are children of the resurrection, we are going to be
-
stuck living a life. In the very chains that God has
-
broken off of us, somebody said Amen.
-
Uzziah said in the year king Uziah, he said I saw or Isaiah
-
said I saw the Lord high and lifted up when he got a good
-
vision of God. Then he describes what he saw in
-
himself. He said, woe is me from I'm a
-
man of unclean lips, I'm undone. He says I'm done, I'm undone.
-
He said, well, preacher, why would I want to recovering of a
-
sight to see myself that way? Well, you got to keep reading
-
because if you keep reading, he started seeing angels, he
-
started seeing the Seraphim, he started seeing them having
-
getting getting hot coals off the altar.
-
And if you read on a little further, he said.
-
And then my iniquity was purged. You see, the devil don't want
-
you to see yourself in the light of who God is in your life.
-
Listen, if if we don't see ourselves in the light of what
-
God has done for us through His name, through His blood, through
-
the infilling of His Spirit, if we don't see that we are going
-
to be stuck living a life that is based upon our DNA.
-
And you may come from a good family, but I'm telling you, in
-
every family there is some dysfunction in that family.
-
Come on. But when we see ourselves in the
-
light of Jesus Christ, we can understand we're not a beat down
-
body. We're not less than.
-
You. See, that's what the enemy wants
-
you to do. He wants to see yourself so
-
inferior that you never step into your purpose.
-
But I'm telling this church, you're about to move from just
-
meeting on this end of town, having services to affecting
-
this community in a way that maybe you never have.
-
God has prepared a great foundation under you, but there
-
are seeds of revival that are ready to spring forth.
-
But God does not need a body with a bowed head and a bent
-
spirit. He needs God's wealthy walk in
-
warriors to understand. God has redeemed me.
-
God has saved me. God has made me whole.
-
I was a Sinner, but I'm not now. I was.
-
Rejected, but I'm not. Now God has done something.
-
In my life, we ought to take a praise break right here.
-
Are you thankful for the blood? Are you thankful for his name?
-
Are you thankful for His washing power?
-
Hallelujah, we I'll tell you what we don't need.
-
We don't need a Gideon spirit hitting our churches.
-
Says who? Me, I'll never forget back in
-
2006, we had a Sunday night service that would arrive on any
-
camp meeting. I mean, God was moving.
-
It was powerful. That was Sunday night.
-
Tuesday I was at work and my mom rang my phone.
-
She was crying. She said can you come to the
-
house? And so I got with my bosses and
-
left and and went to the house by Wednesday or by Thursday.
-
We had church on Thursdays that at that time, by Thursday night,
-
I was the pastor. And it sent our church into a
-
confluence of calamities that to this day I don't understand.
-
But there was a man in our church who I trusted and loved
-
and cared for and, and, and I had leaned on him.
-
My, my father was my pastor. And this guy, this guy and I
-
both served in ministry together.
-
And he said to me, the day I became pastor, he said, you are
-
not the man for the job. And, and, and I've lived my life
-
saying sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will
-
never hurt me. But it wounded me.
-
And I'll never forget every Sunday when it was time to walk
-
out to that office, I would hear that voice.
-
You're not the man for the job. You let me tell you what I did.
-
Again, you're not going to fully understand this.
-
You're not old enough. I put my Bible up under my arm
-
and I did my best George Jefferson out there and I got up
-
and preached. Anyways, can I tell you I'm not
-
going to let no devil in hell or out of hell tell me God is not
-
going to work in my life. Greater is he that's in me than
-
He that's in the world. We need a recovering of sight.
-
That sees ourselves in the. Light of Jesus Christ, somebody
-
ought to help me worship right here.
-
Come on, lift up your eyes and see what the Lord has for you.
-
Hallelujah, Hallelujah. You know why?
-
Sis, when I let the Lord peel back the layers of revelation
-
over my eyes and I know what all God's done for me, that old song
-
rings true to me today. You don't know like I know what
-
the Lord has done for me. I was a Sinner and He saved me.
-
I was broken and He made me whole.
-
I fell down and he picked me up. You don't know like I know what
-
the Lord has done for me. And He didn't bring me this far
-
to be done with me. Yet He didn't bring you this far
-
to be done with you. Yeah, open up your eyes and see
-
what the lie Will somebody help me praise him?
-
Somebody. Help me praise him.
-
Hallelujah, Hallelujah. I'm not talking about I'm not
-
talking about being arrogant. I'm not talking about being
-
cocky within. Ourselves, can I tell you, I
-
believe God wants to put his church on parade.
-
I believe he wants everybody in Mount Carmel to know where first
-
Apostolic Church he is. Somebody said, well, they do
-
know preacher. Well, I'm going to talk about it
-
at the end, but what happens when God changes their view of
-
how they see the church? Somebody said Amen.
-
I feel like making the devil mad in here.
-
There are gifts and callings on the people of this church that
-
the enemy wants to water down and make you feel like you're
-
the people across the track somewhere that nobody cares
-
about. I come to jerk the cover off the
-
devil's lie and tell you that God wants to open up your eyes
-
so you can see how mighty He is in you, how strong He is in you,
-
how powerful He is. Come on, I know there's nobody
-
like God. But you got that God living on
-
the inside of you. Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah, Hallelujah. I'm not I'm not just saying this
-
for response since I know you're in grandma mode.
-
They said you're the best grandma here.
-
But I'm going to tell you something.
-
When I when the Holy Ghost filled people, when our.
-
Feet hit the. Floor in the morning we become
-
instantly the devil's worst nightmare I'm sick and tired of
-
the church being depressed I'm sick and tired of the church
-
having nightmares it's. Time we rain on the devil's
-
parade. It's time we give hell some
-
nightmares. It's time he realizes, Oh,
-
they're up again. Their feet hit the floor.
-
They're going to pray again. They're going to worship again.
-
They're going to believe again. I I want to move on to the next
-
thing but I feel something in the Holy Ghost right here.
-
I feel a war cry coming to this church.
-
I I may be missing it by 1,000,000 miles.
-
Don't ever tell me I'm very insecure but I feel the Holy
-
Ghost even off your first family ripping insecurity off the top
-
of them and getting them to realize there is a calling in
-
you. There is a.
-
Power in you. God wants to invest a harvest in
-
this child. I need somebody that will
-
receive that right now. I was watching I was watching
-
Mariah almost messed her name up that would proved I wasn't in
-
the spirit. I was watching her up there
-
singing and I was going to tell her this after the church.
-
Do you know the angels of the Lord are watching you?
-
Do you know they're watching over you?
-
Can I tell you why do you want to say that to her?
-
Because I know the enemy loves to take young people that want
-
to dedicate their life to God. And girl, this is not going to
-
make sense, but I'll explain it to you later.
-
Don't worry that you don't fit in anywhere, because God's going
-
to make your calling fit in everywhere.
-
Come on, can I tell you God doesn't answer inferior
-
expectations, but he wants a church that'll rise up and say I
-
see who I am through the Lord. Come on, clap your hands and
-
praise He. Come on, would you help me
-
worship right here? The Holy Ghost is in this room.
-
Let's see what the Lord wouldn't say to us right now.
-
I believe that's a principle, Brother McGee.
-
I believe that's a principle of separation.
-
We've never tapped into that part of separation is not just
-
about what we see necessarily. It's God doesn't want us.
-
Fitting into a. World that he's called us to be
-
greater than. We're not better than people,
-
but we got something on the inside of us that's greater.
-
I refuse to let Mariah suffer with depression.
-
I refuse to let her suffer with anxiety.
-
I refuse to let her ever suffer with the things of this world.
-
There's a calling of God on her. There's a calling of God on you.
-
Greater, greater, greater. Greater, greater is He that's in
-
me. Somebody praise Him with me.
-
Come on, you want to praise Him right now?
-
Let God magnify the call of God in you.
-
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
-
Go ahead, go ahead, try it out till you feel it break.
-
I said, I said pray till you feel it break.
-
Pray till you feel the chain loosen.
-
Pray till you know God is moving in your spirit.
-
Pray till you feel the enemy run.
-
Pray till you feel the feathers break.
-
Pray till you know God has liberated you.
-
I'm. Going to tell you what what's
-
happening. In the Holy Ghost right now.
-
My dad couldn't sing worth a lick, but he didn't care.
-
He'd get a mic, sing anyways. He definitely couldn't write
-
songs, but he'd try to write them anyways.
-
But we get to having a Holy Ghost time around there and he'd
-
get the mic. I'm not definitely going to sing
-
in front of the Masons and I. Learned today your pastor can
-
sing too but I will tell you here's what my dad would get to
-
singing we got the Devil on the run church look at the devil run
-
I know it's a Sunday morning and I know there's a lot more day to
-
live but I'm telling you I think we got the devil on the run in
-
this house right now and I don't know what the.
-
The devil's been bothering in your world.
-
I don't know what the enemy's been telling you, but somebody
-
better open the back door because I feel the devil getting
-
ready to run up out of this house.
-
I feel a releasing, I feel a power.
-
I feel an overflow of God's Spirit.
-
Somebody help me, shout. Somebody help me.
-
Rejoice. Somebody help me.
-
Pray. I really cook.
-
I'll tell you why. We better see ourselves in the
-
light of how God sees us, because if not my brother, we're
-
going to be subject to live according to what they say.
-
It don't matter what they say about you, it's what does God
-
say about you? I, I, I don't want to embarrass
-
Brother Cook, but I felt the Holy Ghost right there.
-
I'm telling you, it doesn't matter what the whole world says
-
about us if we're walking with Jesus.
-
I say keep on walking, keep on believing.
-
She done got lost in the Holy Ghost.
-
You're going to have to tell her.
-
All this stuff, I said. But you know why I want to get a
-
hold of young people and let God, I felt God tell me to tell
-
her that. You know why?
-
Because if she. Can get something way down in
-
her soul. Her critics will become
-
promoters. Slander will become advertising.
-
Because we'll know who we are, I said.
-
We'll know who we. Are we'll know?
-
Come on 1st Apostolic, do you know who you are?
-
Do you know who you are? And God, do you know who you
-
are? Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah, Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
-
I don't know why I feel to say this, and I don't want to put
-
none of you ladies into fear. So hear out what?
-
Hear me out what I'm saying. There are some of the ladies in
-
this church in this room right now.
-
When you get up tomorrow, you're going to feel a heaviness and
-
the enemy is going to want you to own what you discerned.
-
That heaviness is meeting you in the morning specifically because
-
it does not want you to receive what God is trying to put into
-
you right now. When you feel that heaviness in
-
the morning, you ought to shout because that's a sign that the
-
devil knows that God is up to something in your world.
-
This end in my message, I wasn't planning to say, but I want to
-
just tell you something. We're when we're spirit filled
-
people, we can discern things. Stop owning everything you
-
discern. Stop owning every feeling you
-
have. I walked this morning down into
-
the lobby of that hotel and that it was crowded in there,
-
thought, man, what in the world's going on?
-
But it didn't take me very long to pick up on my radar that
-
whatever they were involved in last night.
-
I have wanted no part of. But I didn't walk out of there
-
saying, man, I'm struggling wanting to go get a beer.
-
I'm struggling with lust. I'm I'm struggling with
-
perversion. You can't own everything you
-
feel. Excuse me for being a little
-
caustic with my language right here, but that the enemy of our
-
soul wants to create Apostolic bipolar Christians that were
-
subject to every wind that blows and we're subject to every
-
feeling that comes in. Fear would come in my house, but
-
I told it to go. Depression would come in my
-
house, but I would tell it to go.
-
You know why? Because I got the power.
-
Of the resurrected Christ on the inside of.
-
I've spent too long there. I'm going to move through this
-
next one quick because I want to get to the end of this.
-
There's how we see God, There's how we see ourselves in the
-
light of God. And then there's how we see our
-
brothers and sisters in the Lord.
-
Don't make me preach on it long. It'd be a good Wednesday night
-
series on Unity. Your pastor could do a much
-
better job breaking down Scripture.
-
But can I tell you, if you study, you study the life of
-
Isaac. And when his eyes were dimmed,
-
he was willing to give his birthright to one of his
-
children. In a move of deception, Jacob
-
slid in and he stole Esau's birthright.
-
And so the story goes, Jacob flees, Jacob leaves.
-
He goes to work on a farm to get a girl.
-
There's your good idea. I'm learning back home though,
-
buddy. You don't have to actually have
-
to work on the farm back home. They just dress like they work
-
on a farm. Two of my three boys, they walk
-
in, look like Cowboys sometimes. Ain't got a horse, ain't got a
-
cow, barely take care of a dog. I'm like, I'm like, what in the
-
world's going on here? Boy, that that derailed me right
-
there. So Jacob, he flees, he leaves.
-
He doesn't care what he's done to his brother, doesn't bother.
-
He wanted that birthright. He was interested in what he
-
wanted. He had no desire for
-
reconciliation until God says I'm going to bless.
-
You. But the only way I'm going to
-
bless you. Is if you go back home and it
-
and it. Would seem like, Jacob said.
-
Oh man, finally I'm going to go back home and reconcile with my
-
brother. No, he wanted the blessing and
-
so he's he's willing to send messengers to say, hey, tell my
-
brother my big day's coming and I'm coming back home.
-
I want him to know, but I'm coming back to get my blessing.
-
Those guys come back and tell Jacob.
-
They said, hey, he's not only coming, but he's got 400 men
-
with him. It ain't looking good.
-
And Jacob some somewhere in between all that he has a
-
wrestling. Match with God and walks away
-
with a strut. See how I helped you there
-
again? He walks away with a limp,
-
walking different, thinking different, and here comes his
-
brother. He's scared to death to see Esau
-
face to face. But when they finally meet, and
-
they finally embrace and reconciliation happens, there's
-
this. Powerful scriptures.
-
It's in one of those I gave you where he literally says to his
-
brother, when I saw you, it's though I saw the face of God.
-
Come on, there's sometimes the only God you're going to see is
-
through the eyes of a brother. It's through the eye.
-
That's why Brother McGee and I know you're the same way.
-
That's why when I go to camps, I I don't mark time and say I
-
wonder when we'll get to fellowship afterwards.
-
I want to be preached to. I want to see the glory of God
-
on somebody's face. I know I need my brother.
-
I know I've got the power of God inside of me, but want to put
-
1000 to a put 10,000. It's more than multiplication
-
when we let God bring unity to the body of Christ.
-
If you'll clap. Real good.
-
I'll move on through that one pretty quick.
-
You see, because what a what a damaging thing you could be for
-
us to see God high and lifted up and let's see him powerful
-
within us, but we can't stand one another.
-
Somebody said to me one time said so and so thanks.
-
You don't like him? I said, well, he's pretty smart.
-
That's exactly right. I said that not to make myself
-
look bad, but you can't live life without getting some
-
issues. You can't go to church and do
-
life with people without there being something you don't agree
-
with, something that rubs you. Oh, I promise I'm still
-
preaching good and I'll make it palatable to you.
-
But can I tell you, we cannot let the devil stop revival, and
-
we can't let strife win within us.
-
Stop revival. Brother, Brother Mason, you are
-
not been studying enough, so I'm going to give you.
-
I'm talking to you, Alex. I wouldn't, I wouldn't rebuke
-
the elder Mason. You know I've been studying.
-
If I'm going to give you something to study, go study.
-
Why when Gideon we got ready to harvest, why every time he did,
-
the Midianites would rise up and take the harvest?
-
Go study Why the Amalekites would take the harvest?
-
I don't have time to preach at all.
-
Midian literally means strife. I, I wish I could go into this
-
further. He's going to study it.
-
You'll, you'll be impressed with what all he knows.
-
But listen to me. It's not just strife.
-
It wasn't just strife. It wasn't just trouble.
-
It was to it was to damage their sight of the harvest.
-
Go study where it would. Happen at it had to do with the
-
eye of trembling. It's about sight, and when we
-
can learn to see God through our brother and sister, there'll be
-
a recovering of sight that comes to the Church of God.
-
Clap your hands and love him. What you'll find out is there's
-
people you might not like. Maybe your personalities don't
-
click, but if you start to see the hand of God on them.
-
Some of the some preachers messages that have changed my
-
life, I don't even know if I'd want to have dinner with them,
-
but I've seen the glory of God on them.
-
I felt the power of God on them. Can I tell you when God goes
-
into the harvest field of this church in the next few months
-
and years, what God wants to do around here, it's got to become
-
more than one or two or three or four.
-
It's got to take all hands in the harvest and listen.
-
We may not agree with each other on everything, but we can agree
-
on the glory of God. We can agree on the power of God
-
on their life. I'm saying God don't just use
-
me, but use my brother, use my sister, use the church across
-
town. We need a revival of unity.
-
I know none of you would ever fall prey to this, but I'm just
-
using an example for the sake of the sermon.
-
Talk about losing your vision. That same man sis that told me I
-
wouldn't cut out for the job he stayed around for for a few
-
weeks in our church few months. Wounded me at every chance he
-
could. Finally he went about a mile
-
down the road started his own church and and and and that that
-
come to naughty. But that's not the story.
-
That's not the principle of of the story.
-
I was in our sanctuary praying one day because that's what good
-
preachers do. Oh Jesus bless these people.
-
He's bless these carnal people. God, I'm embellishing.
-
I got about right over here where my wife sitting in our
-
sanctuary and the and the Lord spoke to me if I ever heard him,
-
I heard him. Then he said, if that man died,
-
you'd want him to be lost. And I said, at least, you know,
-
not really. I didn't say that to God.
-
I'm going to tell you what I did.
-
I fell on that Pew and said, God, get this mess out of me.
-
God, I hate him. It's over words, but God, it's,
-
it's, it's messing with me. When I see him out, I want to
-
lash out. I want to tell people what he's
-
done. God, get this mess out of me.
-
You know why? Because it wasn't Him.
-
What I felt wasn't hurting him, but I was losing my vision of
-
the harvest it was getting. This I'm not saying you've got
-
an issue with. Anybody.
-
But why don't we lift our hands all over this house and say,
-
God, give me clean hands, give me a pure heart.
-
Let me not lift my voice against anybody, God.
-
Hallelujah. Here's where I want to end.
-
There's recovering of sight, how we see God.
-
There's how we see ourselves in the light of God.
-
There's how we see our brothers and sisters.
-
Then lastly, there's how we see the harvest.
-
I told somebody the other day, I said.
-
Evidently I don't love myself because why would you?
-
First of all, I never miss 2 Sundays in a row back home.
-
Not not because they'll miss me because I'm afraid they'll fire
-
me, but but I I said why would you preach for Brother Vasquez
-
one Sunday and Brother McGee the next, two of the greatest
-
preachers in our movement. Evidently I don't love myself.
-
I was driving here yesterday and, and it's seriously how my
-
mom was thinking. I was like, hey man, what am I
-
going on? I'm going to have to go watch
-
their webcast for the last two years and try to find something
-
he ain't preached on in a little familiar voice.
-
Got in that Bronco with me. And he said, tell the Mcgees and
-
tell FAC their season's about to change.
-
I. Put that on the back burner in
-
my mind when I got up this morning said, God, I know what
-
you I feel to preach, but I don't see where it fits.
-
And then I got up here on this front row this and God said,
-
tell them I want to change their lens of how they see the harvest
-
to which I have placed them in. So you can think I'm crazy and I
-
hope I'm not making you feel spooky, but I'm just going to
-
tell you what I know. In the Holy Ghost, Elder McGee,
-
I saw 20 years as I stood up there, I saw 20 years of you
-
throwing seed out of you throwing seed out.
-
Then I watched and I could see brother and sister McGee and the
-
Holy Ghost. And and I maybe because we
-
talked about the trailer last night, but I saw them Criss
-
crossing this country. They're going to be in Idaho
-
this week, but I saw them from Michigan to Florida and from
-
east to West and they were sowing seeds.
-
All over this country and the enemy at times has made them
-
think what about Mount Carmel? What about FAC.
-
But I come to tell them the seasons are about to change, the
-
clouds about to break and the rain's about to fall.
-
And the seed that's in the ground is about to spring forth
-
with the mighty revival, with the mighty harvest.
-
I need you to get a hold of this.
-
I'm not got no other preaching today but to tell you it's about
-
to change. Come on, let's take a praise
-
break right here. Pastor and Sister McGee, I tell
-
you in the Holy Ghost today, you've not seen your greatest
-
revival in the city. You've not seen your greatest
-
outpouring. You've not seen your greatest
-
breakthrough. God has seen your labor.
-
He's seen you. Toil he see you try to remain
-
faithful and God's about to open the door God's about to change
-
the season. There's a dawning of a new day.
-
There's about to be a break forth.
-
There's about to be a bringing forth.
-
There's about to be seed that come up out of the ground.
-
Come on. It's not falling on Stony
-
ground. It's not went by the way of the
-
wayside. It's been in the soil.
-
It's been waiting on the rain. It's been waiting on a
-
breakthrough. It's been waiting on the moment.
-
Hear me, hear me, hear me today, FAC.
-
You guys call yourself that if okay well really I was saying
-
1st and I thought, I hope it ain't faith, hear me?
-
And the Holy Ghost right here. There's enemies you've had in
-
generations, gone before that. God has silenced them.
-
God has muted them. He has bound them with 1000
-
chains. There's a new day and a new.
-
Breakthrough that's coming to you.
-
He has cleared the way. He has made a door that's about
-
to be open to you. It's a great and effectual door
-
that no man's going to be able to shut.
-
I say run through it. I say run through it knowing who
-
he is, knowing who you are in him, knowing what he can do with
-
your brother and sister. I say walk home through the
-
door. Let every devil be bound.
-
Let revival be loosed. Let there be miracles, signs and
-
wonders. Come on.
-
See. See Elder, if the devil could
-
have stopped this church, he would have a long time ago.
-
So his only hope is to distort your vision so that you buy into
-
the lie. That maybe this is all God has
-
for me. I come to tell you the Reaper
-
can overtake the planter. I'm come to tell you, blinded
-
eyes can be open. Deaf ears can be unstopped.
-
The lane could walk. The dead could rise.
-
It's still all possible. Come on.
-
Do you believe it's possible here?
-
I feel a release in the Holy Ghost right here.
-
I said. I feel a release in the Holy
-
Ghost right here. God's ready to do something in
-
this house right now. God said come on, come on
-
somebody will you let God use you.
-
Right now there is a release in the Holy Ghost.
-
Hallelujah, I'm not trying to be corny or cliche, I'm just
-
telling you what I feel in the Holy Ghost.
-
And I'm sorry, it's an old song too.
-
But Satan, your Kingdom must come.
-
Down. It must come down.
-
God's words not going to return void.
-
Come on, Brother McGee, I'm not just trying to preach because
-
you're my friend. I've always loved your spirit.
-
But you got 20 years of His word not being able to return void.
-
Brother Mcgee's got all of his years where that word cannot
-
return void. I'm going to tell you it's time
-
to preach faith like you've never preached.
-
Preach miracles like you've never really.
-
Come on. You know why this church, I feel
-
it in the Holy Ghost. I hope I'm not messing nothing
-
up, but God is shifting you from belief to demonstration.
-
He is moving you from belief to demonstration.
-
It's time for the outpouring of the Holy Ghost.
-
I say let the river flow. Let the power flow.
-
Let there be a demonstration of God's spirit and power.
-
Why don't you lift up your voice?
-
Why don't you lift up your hands and release yourself into the
-
supernatural power? Of God.
-
I promise you, I promise you by the Mason or somebody can come
-
to the keys. I'm trying to get out of the
-
way, but I want you to hear me. I'm not saying this on accident.
-
Here's what God wants me to tell you and don't just stare at me,
-
but let's operate together in the Holy Ghost.
-
Can we do that? Here's what God is saying.
-
I'm about to change their season.
-
Tell them I'm going to change their season.
-
But when seasons change, there are things you cannot take into
-
the next season. I, I believe it was Mariah.
-
If it wasn't, I'm sorry, but Mariah said to my wife when
-
she'd come in, something about her outfit, she said it looks
-
very fall. And the reason is, is because my
-
wife has been ready for fall for three months.
-
Somebody said, hey man, can I tell you there are hurts you
-
can't take into a new season. I'm not talking about holiness
-
or a tire. That's not my job.
-
But there's garments that's got to be changed.
-
Just like that man, the blind man that Jesus healed, the Bible
-
said he cast his garments aside. There's some things you can't
-
take into this revival. There's some things you can't
-
take into this delivers. But I've got good news for you.
-
God will heal you today. God will deliver you today.
-
God will set you free today. Go ahead, Sister Mason, help me
-
shout. Help me rejoice.
-
See, there's a reason Sister McGee, that that the McGee fan,
-
the Masons that have had the toil so long, because what God
-
wants to give you, I feel this in the Holy Ghost, what God
-
wants to give you, if it is not grounded with a good foundation,
-
it moves into sensationalism and goofiness.
-
I feel a release in the Holy Ghost of visions and dreams to
-
this church. But if we are not grounded with
-
truth and a foundation, we'll get silly.
-
We'll start painting the walls colors to match the dreams.
-
That's not what God's doing. But I'm telling you, there are
-
open doors in this community you've never seen before.
-
It's not because you're carnal. It wasn't time yet.
-
But God's about to open the door.
-
God's about to breakthrough for you.
-
God's about somebody ought to help me preach right now.
-
Do you believe in revival? Do you believe it can happen
-
here? Would you stand with me all over
-
this house and let there be a praise in your spirit?
-
Come on, lift up your voice. See when God opens your eyes to
-
the harvest. I know you're not a real, real
-
large town, and I'm not saying that derogatory.
-
We're even smaller. But there's going to be
-
businesses, Brother McGee. When you drive by, something's
-
going to say go in there today because harvest don't have to.
-
Nothing to do with extrovert or introvert.
-
It's about can you see where God's at you?
-
You say, why are you staying in that vein?
-
I'm telling you, I feel open doors for this church.
-
I'm telling you, there's a reason God blessed you to move
-
from pews to chairs. It's not not just for the look.
-
They look good. I'm not saying that, but you can
-
put more seats in, You can put more people in.
-
Come on, we're not going to let God.
-
We're not going to let the devil limit what we think God can do.
-
It's time for breakthrough. Can I tell you where it starts?
-
Often. Once we've got our eyes on God
-
again, once we see who we are, once we see the gift of God on
-
our brother, can I tell you what happens?
-
It's those closest to us because what God spoke to me that I
-
tried to get my my title changed, but it was too late.
-
No fault to them. It was me.
-
It was that there's a recovering of sight.
-
There are people that aren't at church today.
-
There are people who've walked away from God in this region and
-
they've lost their sight. But I'm telling you, when the
-
church. Starts driving the Midianites
-
off. There's a recovering of sight
-
that comes. You better get ready for
-
prodigals. Maybe not even prodigals out of
-
this church, but prodigals that come looking for sight.
-
Something that they finally see again.
-
Come on. From front to back, sooner to
-
circumference. Could we just praise him all
-
over this house? Come on.
-
Praise Him, Praise Him. Hallelujah.
-
Who? This I don't want this to come
-
off in any way disrespectful but but some men live so that they
-
leave. A large inheritance or.
-
Then they spend their latter years so concerned with legacy
-
that often times they tarnish it themselves in an attempt to
-
preserve it. Elder McGee, God's going to let
-
you live and see inheritance and legacy being poured out in a
-
fashion that you've dreamed of, that you've believed for, that
-
you hoped. For come on, we need to receive
-
what God is putting into this church.
-
Come on, these altars are open. Would you come receive with us
-
today? Let there be a cry.
-
Come out of the womb of this church today.
