Luke. Chapter 19 verse number.
Luke 19 chapter mention
-
One the Bible says. That Jesus entered and passed
-
through Jericho, and behold, there was a.
-
Man named Zacchaeus. Which was the chief among the
-
publicans? And he was rich.
-
And he sought to see Jesus, who he was, and he could not for the
-
press, because he was. Little of stature.
-
And he ran before and climbed up into a Sycamore tree to see him,
-
for he was to pass. That way and when.
-
Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said
-
unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must
-
abide at the house. And he made haste and came.
-
Down and received him joyfully. Verse 3 says he sought to see
-
Jesus, who he was, and he could not for the.
-
Press because he was little of stature.
-
Zacchaeus was eager to see Jesus, to see Jesus for who he
-
was, I believe. Zacchaeus had reached a point
-
that he wanted. To see more than what he had
-
just heard about. They wanted to experience more
-
than just what he had heard from everybody else.
-
Around him and. I want to preach to us for just
-
a few moments tonight with the help.
-
Of the Lord from this thought. See more See more Would you set
-
your? Bibles down, would you?
-
Lift your hands and your hearts towards heaven tonight, and
-
would you talk to him tonight in the name of Jesus?
-
There's more to see. In the name of Jesus.
-
In the name of Jesus, I wish somebody come into agreement
-
with me tonight and believe that there's more for us to see and
-
experience in this house. I know God's been doing great
-
things Sunday morning, Sunday night, Monday night, but I just
-
believe there's more for us to see tonight.
-
There's more for us to experience in this house
-
tonight. In Jesus name.
-
In Jesus name would you clap your hands unto the Lord
-
tonight. In the name of Jesus.
-
In the name of. Jesus, you can be seated
-
tonight. God bless.
-
You thank you for. Being in the House of the Lord
-
tonight. There was a trap.
-
That was. Designed to capture individuals
-
that are curious. There was a trap that was
-
designed to get people to tap, if you will.
-
It was a trap designed to get the reader to tap.
-
And many of you might know what I'm talking about, considering
-
that there are approximately 2.11 billion daily active users
-
of Facebook who spend an average of 31 minutes a day simply
-
scrolling. Scrolling from one post to
-
another, from one comment thread to another, and from one friend
-
request to another. And it's while scrolling that
-
you will often times stumble upon someone's long, dramatic,
-
and even sometimes mysterious post.
-
And I don't say something along the lines of I just can't take
-
it anymore. And after everything that I've
-
been through, people still and all you see is 2 words that say
-
see more. All you see is see more.
-
And you fall for the trap and you continue to tap see more but
-
nothing happens. Nothing changes because there is
-
no more for you to see. It was never designed for you to
-
see more, they just typed it to get your attention.
-
It was a trap that was designed to get your finger to keep
-
tapping. There was no story, there was no
-
information. There was nothing more for you
-
to receive. It was simply a bait.
-
Forget the reader, to keep tapping.
-
And can I tell you church, if we're not careful, this is
-
exactly how some of our own spiritual lives and become
-
service after service, revival after revival, we will begin to
-
display a surface level status. It will become a teaser to those
-
that are in attendance. But I need you to understand
-
tonight that those that are walking with fake depth, they
-
have one goal. They have one desire to simply
-
attempt to display the appearance of something deep
-
when the reality. Of the desire to.
-
See more has already disappeared.
-
It has already diminished. But I believe on a Tuesday.
-
Night that in spite. Of a culture.
-
That consistently teases transformation in spite of a
-
culture. That is here.
-
Today and going tomorrow on fire one day.
-
Called the next, I believe there's a church.
-
In Mount Carmel, IL that desires to see more.
-
That desires to see more. Miracles that.
-
See more. Truth to see more Jesus, I don't
-
know. About you.
-
But I want to see more addicts. Set free I want.
-
To see more broken marriages put back together.
-
I want to see families that everyone says there's no hope
-
for. Find hope in Jesus I.
-
Believe I'm in a house tonight of individuals who want to see
-
more. I've been praying God.
-
God let me see what I've never seen before.
-
God let me hear what I've never heard before.
-
God let me experience some things that you have prepared
-
for me. I want to see more.
-
I want to see what I've never experienced before We look in
-
Luke chapter #19 you all right? I ain't got started yet.
-
In Luke chapter 19 Jesus journey leads him through Jericho and
Luke 19 chapter mention
-
it's here the Bible teaches us that were introduced to a man by
-
the name of Zacchaeus. Scripture tells us a few things
-
about him. Number one, that he was short,
-
he was of little stature. And I'm gonna pause for just a
-
moment tonight and make a disclaimer for those wondering.
-
To the best of my knowledge, I do not descend from his
-
genealogy to the best. I know y'all were already
-
wondering that y'all were like, my God, he was short.
-
So, so is this preacher. I don't know.
-
I'm not from his tree, as best of my knowledge.
-
But the Bible tells us he was short.
-
He, he was of little stature. He was short on reputation.
-
He was a tax collector. He was a traitor to his people.
-
He was often hated and dismissed by many, but the Bible goes a
-
little bit further to tell us that he sought to see Jesus for
-
who he was. He had reached a point that he
-
wanted. To see Jesus.
-
Who he was and know who Jesus was for himself.
-
I believe that Zacchaeus had reached a point that in his
-
relationship that he wanted more than what everybody around him
-
could give him. I don't know this for certain,
-
so just allow me some liberty. Tonight, but I'm.
-
Confident he heard some rumors about Jesus ministry.
-
I just kind of feel like he probably heard about a time when
-
Jesus had healed some people had cast out, some devils had
-
delivered, some folks provided for people, and I just believed
-
that he had reached a point that we're hearing.
-
About it was no. Longer enough.
-
To satisfy the hunger. That was on the inside of him.
-
He had heard heard the rumors of deliverance.
-
He had heard the rumors of healing.
-
He had heard the rumors of provision.
-
And it was no longer satisfying him.
-
He wanted to see. More he was.
-
Hungry to see more? And can I tell?
-
You. I believe the Church has reached
-
a point. That we're no longer satisfied
-
with hearing. About what God can.
-
Do and. What God might do?
-
We need more than a rumor of revival.
-
We need more than a rumor of healing.
-
We need more than a rumor. Of rest.
-
We need a demonstration of His power.
-
We need a demonstration of His Spirit.
-
I don't know about you, but I want to see more.
-
I believe the church wants to see more.
-
I believe I'm in a church that's not hearing about a rumor of
-
revival, but I believe you're having revival.
-
I believe God is moving in our midst.
-
We want to see more, believe we're hungry to see more.
-
Once you get this hungry, a rumor no longer satisfies you
-
anymore. Once you reach your, once your
-
hunger reaches a new level, there's something inside of you
-
saying I've got to see more. I am no longer satisfied with
-
the word on the street. I want the word that's in the
-
sanctuary. I just believe there's a word in
-
the sanctuary for me and my family.
-
I believe there's. A hunger in this house tonight
-
to see more of Jesus. We want more of.
-
His power we. Want more of his Gloria?
-
I know you've heard a lot, but there's more to hear.
-
I know you've seen a lot, but there's more to see.
-
I believe God's got more for His church, for this congregation,
-
the Bible. Tells us that if we'll seek, we
-
shall find. To everyone that seeketh,
-
findeth to. Everyone that desires to see
-
more, guess what? They're going to see more.
-
To everyone that's hungry to see more.
-
They're going to see more because God is not a.
-
Man that he shall lie, neither the Son of man that he shall
-
repent. If we walked in here with the
-
hunger, I believe God is more than able to supply that hunger,
-
to feel that hunger to sanifies to the point that God, you feel
-
me. So we understand that Zacchaeus
-
has a great desire to see what he's never seen before, but he's
-
still living with some restrictions.
-
He's living with some things that are hindering him from
-
being able to see what he wants to see.
-
He. Realizes I can't see.
-
Because of the crowd, I can't see what I want to see because
-
of all of these people around me.
-
Now, you got to understand, at this particular point in
-
Scripture, Zacchaeus has got some options that he could give
-
way to at this moment. We all right at this particular
-
moment, Zacchaeus could turn around.
-
Zacchaeus could complain. I can complain.
-
Because of the crowd that's preventing me from seeing what I
-
came to see at this particular point that kids could even make
-
up in his mind. I've heard enough about Jesus
-
and he could settle for just a glimpse of what he's heard and
-
what he's seen. But the.
-
Bible tells us instead of doing any of those things.
-
He. Runs up ahead and climbs up.
-
Into a Sycamore tree. Letting you and I know that in
-
spite. Of the restrictions and.
-
Limitations that he's living with, It's there.
-
He made-up in this, but I'm going to elevate my efforts so
-
that I can have an encounter with what I came to have an
-
encounter with. And can I tell the church
-
tonight, in spite of what the world has put on you, there's
-
still enough hunger inside of you to get to where you want to
-
get with with Jesus. If you want your worship to go
-
to another level, it can go to another level.
-
If you want your prayer life to go to another level, it can go
-
to another level level. If you want your devotion to go
-
to another level, I believe and care.
-
He's got all these. Reasons that he can quit.
-
Oh, that he can stop, that he can settle.
-
But instead of doing that, he chooses to climb.
-
He chooses to climb in spite of the crowd that is looking on
-
with him. He chooses to climb in spite of
-
those that might be criticizing. He chooses to elevate his
-
efforts by climbing past his natural disadvantages because
-
his desire to see more was far greater than anything.
-
The devil anything his flesh, anything the world could throw
-
his way. Can I tell the?
-
Church. Tonight, there will.
-
Always. Be reasons to settle.
-
For what you've already experienced, there'll always be
-
excuses, there'll always be a reason to settle.
-
But when the desire to see more gets down in your spirit,
-
there's no devil in hell that can stop what God has started.
-
When the desire to see more gets deep down in your spirit, you'll
-
stop waiting for Jesus to come to you, and you'll start
-
elevating your effort to get to hell.
-
I wish somebody just take a moment and.
-
Praise him tonight. I wish you just push beyond your
-
tiredness, beyond your flesh for a.
-
Moment and on a Tuesday night, say, God, I've come to draw
-
night to you because I know you're going to draw night to me
-
because I've come to reach for you because I know that you're
-
reaching for me. There's a desire to see more,
-
desire to stop waiting for him and start.
-
Elevating her own efforts. That's why the writer would
-
instruct us that we are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His
-
righteousness. Then all these things shall be
-
added unto us. Can I tell you tonight it's OK
-
to elevate your effort? It's OK to go beyond what you're
-
accustomed to doing. It's.
-
OK, it's. OK if it feels abnormal or in
-
revival. It's OK if it's stretching you.
-
It's OK if it's taking you out of your comfort zone because
-
some of us in our feelers in the Holy Ghost tonight, some of us
-
have been. Hitting a ceiling.
-
In our relationship with. God and the adversaries.
-
Constantly telling us that's as far as you're.
-
Going to go that's as high. As you're going to.
-
Reach, but I've come. To tell the church.
-
Tonight, what has constantly been feeling.
-
Like a ceiling. Is getting ready to.
-
Become the. Floor that you stand upon in
-
your. Relationship with God.
-
But you got to be willing in this revival to elevate your
-
effort, elevates your efforts in prayer, elevates your efforts in
-
worship, and keep climbing and keep pushing.
-
You have not maxed out in your relationship with God.
-
There is more to see, there is more to experience, but I got to
-
keep climbing. I.
-
Got to keep. Pushing.
-
I know it feels like I'm hitting my head.
-
But it ain't going to be like that forever.
-
It ain't going to be like that forever because when it used to
-
feel like I hit my. Head on.
-
I'm going to start. Standing on and believe in God.
-
You're going to take my prayers somewhere.
-
I'm trying to encourage somebody to pray again.
-
I'm trying to encourage somebody to worship like you've never
-
worshiped again. To keep pushing.
-
Because if you'll draw nigh to God, he's going to draw nigh to
-
you. He's going to.
-
Come to you. The Bible tells us that Jesus
-
was passing through Jericho. He had no intentions on
-
stopping. He was passing through.
-
This lets me know that he wasn't stopping for the crowd.
-
After all, he saw crowds all the time.
-
What's new, He wasn't stopping for those that were loud.
-
There were others that were loud.
-
He was simply stopping on this particular day for the one that
-
was willing to climb, the one that was willing to elevate
-
their efforts. And I just believe today,
-
church, that Jesus is still taking notice of those that are
-
willing to elevate their efforts, the willing to elevate
-
beyond what they're accustomed to on this particular day.
-
He looked at that kiss and he told him, he said today I must
-
abide at your house. He said today I must go home
-
with you. I don't know if y'all think like
-
I think, I hope not, but I just wonder, Pastor, why does he want
-
to go home with one man when there's a crowd of people?
-
There's a lot of other people there.
-
There's a lot of people in this house tonight.
-
And can I tell you? Can I tell you?
-
But at this particular point in Scripture, Jesus decided, hey, I
-
want to go to your house today. And I'm asking myself, why in
-
the world does he want to go to this wee little man's house when
-
there's so many other people? I'm sure there's better cooks.
-
I'm sure there's better maize, I'm sure there's better people
-
to. Abide at than the.
-
Tax collector of all people. But there was something about
-
this individual's effort and hunger that got the attention of
-
the Master. Because I still believe.
-
That Jesus has a way. Of responding.
-
To those that are hungry to. Those that are desperate to
-
those that are. Desiring, after all, his.
-
Word teaches us that blessed are they that hunger and thirst
-
after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
-
Jesus is still responding to those that are not willing to
-
settle for the status, that are not willing to settle for the
-
norm. I believe God is responding to a
-
church that's not willing to settle for casual church, but is
-
willing to push beyond what is normal, beyond what's customary
-
to have a presence of God. I believe there's folks in this
-
house. Bishop.
-
That they don't desire to just see their children in church.
-
But there's a desire. To see them active.
-
In church, they're not just, he's uncomfortable with them
-
just attending church, but there's a hunger to see them
-
engaged in church. They want to see more than what
-
they've ever seen before. And I believe God is responding
-
to your hunger. I believe he's responding to
-
those that are not willing to just settle.
-
Oh, to just settle. Just settle for hearing the
-
sermon. Oh, just settle for the sermon.
-
Just settle for the. Beat of the drum and the good
-
playing music. Just settle for letting it go in
-
one ear and out the other. Can I tell?
-
You. That's what hell would love.
-
Is for a. Church to just settle.
-
But we're not in a. Church that's settling this is a
-
church that is. Pushing.
-
This is a church that is. Pressing.
-
This is a church that is climbing higher.
-
This is. A church that's going.
-
Places that God has prophesied, that God has spoken over this
-
church. And I just believe on a Tuesday,
-
Thursday night, if we'll elevate our efforts, I believe we can
-
see more than we've ever seen before.
-
I believe we can experience more than we've ever.
-
Experienced before Jesus is stopping for those of us that
-
want to see more. For those of us that I want to
-
experience more. More of His presence, more of
-
His power, more of His peace. I believe Jesus is.
-
Stopping for those that want to see more, that want to truly see
-
more. My all right, my good.
-
My good to the Holy Ghost in this place.
-
As an evangelist, I see a lot of things.
-
I hear a lot of things. My God, your pastor and his wife
-
can relate. They man, they got some
-
incredible stories. Some are not lawful.
-
For me to utter. But they are absolutely
-
incredible. Oh.
-
My God, it's incredible. But I hear a lot of things on
-
the road. I see a lot.
-
Of things. I hear a lot of people tell me I
-
want to see more. I hear a lot of people tell me I
-
want more in my relationship with God.
-
I hear pastors tell me I want God to open the windows of
-
heaven and pour out blessing upon blessing.
-
I I want to see deliverance. I want to see.
-
I want to see what we've been preaching about.
-
I hear it all the time. But what troubles me in my
-
spirit is the people that are saying I want to see more.
-
They don't align it with their ability to press in.
-
They say it with their words, but your actions don't always
-
demonstrate what their mouth come on somebody what their.
-
Mouth is saying. And can I tell?
-
You tonight, I'm not. Sitting in a church.
-
That's just mouthing it. But I see it with your actions.
-
I see it with your heart. I see it with your desire.
-
I know what hell would love us to believe.
-
This is just a teaser. This is just a teaser.
-
This is just to get your attention.
-
This is just so that you can feel good and everything be.
-
Good, but I've. Come to serve notice.
-
On Hell, this is. Not a teaser.
-
This is just the beginning of what God is doing in this
-
church, and the Lord has sent me here on a Tuesday night to
-
remind the church that I'm stopping for those that want to
-
see more. I'm stopping for those that want
-
to experience more. I'm stopping for those that are
-
hungry for more. I wish you'd lift your hands all
-
over this house right now. Come on, open your mouth in this
-
house in the name of Jesus. Come on.
-
I'm stopping for those that want to see more.
-
I know there's a lot of. Places I could go, but I'm
-
stopping. Here on my way.
-
Through Jericho to let you know, I see your effort, I see your
-
desire, I see your hunger, Zacchaeus and I want to abide
-
with you. I want to go home with you.
-
I want to go on the job with you.
-
I want to live with you. I want you to see more.
-
I want you to. See more I want you to
-
experience more. Oh my God, there's somebody in
-
this house. Been serving the Lord a long
-
time, but there's still more for you to see.
-
I said. There's still more for you to
-
see. There's more for you to
-
experience. Some of us in this house
-
tonight, we're going to have to be willing to climb past our
-
pride, climb past our distractions, climb past the
-
offense and the opinions. Of others, we're going to have
-
to climb. Past the herd climb, past the
-
failed attempts. Until God.
-
God I. Want to see?
-
More There's going to be a St. on a Tuesday night that'll
-
declare I'm not settling. When there's more to see,
-
there's revival here to experience.
-
There's a fresh baptism of the Holy Ghost that is here.
-
I'm going to keep climbing. I'm going to keep pushing until
-
I see what I've never. Seen before Yolobo shot to
-
Yolobo shot to your God in the name of Jesus in the name of
-
Jesus, come on as they make their way back to the keyboard
-
which you lift your hands all over this house in the name of
-
Jesus, Come on, climb in your prayers right now.
-
Come on, climb in your prayers. I'm not settling for just good
-
church. I want to see more.
-
I'm not settling for one soul baptized.
-
I want to see. More.
-
I'm not settling for one Bible study, two Bible studies, 3
-
Bible studies. I want to see more of God's
-
glory. Released.
-
I want to. I want to see more.
-
I want to see more. I want to see more.
-
I want to see more. Come on.
-
If that's your desire, I wish you'd stand to your feet.
-
With me right now. God, I want to see more.
-
I want to see more. I recall a time in Exodus 33
-
when God told Moses he would send an Angel to go with them
-
into the Promised Land, but he himself would not go with them.
-
But Moses was not satisfied with just an Angel.
-
He had had a deep desire for God's presence.
-
They begin to have this conversation and God, Moses
-
pretends to tell God, If your presence doesn't go with us,
-
then don't send me there, don't send me there.
-
And God begins to tell Moses, I'm fearing my favorite
-
blessings. Promise.
-
But Moses had a deep desire to see more than he had ever seen
-
before. So even though God made a
-
promise, Moses said, still show me your glory.
-
Just like Zacchaeus, Moses had reached a point that he wanted
-
to see more. Than what he.
-
Had ever experienced before. I want to see what I've never
-
seen before. And the Lord agrees to let his
-
goodness pass before Moses. And he places Moses in the cleft
-
of the rock and allows him to see a glimpse of his glory.
-
Moses had reached a point. I'm not content with what
-
everybody else said. I'm not even content with what
-
I've experienced myself. I want to experience more.
-
I want to experience more of God's presence, more of God's.
-
Glory. I feel that.
-
Longing in this house tonight to experience more, to see more.
-
God, show us your glory. Come on with you.
-
Lift your hands all over this house.
-
I'm closing. I feel the Lord taking us deeper
-
in this house. I feel that God has heard your
-
prayer. God's heard your cry for more,
-
and He's answering. He's answering, but we're going
-
to have to elevate our effort. We're going to have to press in.
-
Come on. On a Tuesday night.
-
I wonder if we could take a few moments and just press into what
-
God wants to do in this house. Come on.
-
He's not looking for perfect people.
-
He's just looking for somebody that's willing to elevate.
-
Come on, it's time to climb. It's time to press in.
-
This is not a. Teaser.
-
This is not fake, this is real. There's more of his love,
-
there's more of his grace, there's more of his favor that's
-
in this house. Come on for just a few moments.
-
Can we press into what God is doing?
-
Oh God, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, oh Jesus.
-
And I want to abide with you. I want to go with you.
-
I want you full of my spirit. I want you full of my power.
-
Come on. In 2025, there's times too short
-
for us to stand still. Standing still isn't an option
-
in the Kingdom of God. We must progress.
-
We must move. Forward I.
-
Still believe that God is calling us as he has saved us.
-
He's calling us to grow. He's calling us to move.
-
Forward and he's calling us because progress is not
-
optional. Existential for us to see more.
-
In the name of Jesus, in the name of come on tonight, let it
-
be the night. I'm going to climb past it.
-
I'm going to climb past my doubts.
-
I'm going to climb past my insecurities.
-
I'm gonna climb past my own ideas.
-
Come on, there's room in these altars tonight.
-
If you want to make your way with me and say God, I'm gonna
-
climb past the hurt. I'm gonna climb past everything
-
that has hindered me before and say God, I'm going to see more.
-
I'm going to see more of your glory, more of your presence,
-
more of what you have for this city.
-
In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus.
-
In the name of Jesus. I will see more.
-
I will see more. Try to open every door.
-
I will experience more. My family will experience more.
-
I close my eyes. Somebody ought to declare that
-
tonight my family will experience more in the name of
-
Jesus. Oh, my family will experience
-
the Holy Ghost. My family will be exposed to
-
these trees. Just give me Jesus.
-
Oh yes.
