Can we give him a shout of praise tonight?
-
Every time I lean on the Lord, I know I can trust that he's going
-
to see me through. Hallelujah, I lean on you, Lord.
-
Amen. Sometimes we need to be
-
reminded. We lean on our own understanding
-
at times, and that doesn't get us very far.
-
And we have to be reminded to lean on the Lord trust in the
-
Lord, Amen, Amen, Amen. Thank you for your faithfulness
-
to the House of God tonight and I'm so thankful to be here.
-
I'll have to remember if I know how to do this after being a
-
dad. I'm joking.
-
I have had some funny moments. My wife and I have had it is it
-
has been a great privilege and blessing and just love it so
-
much. And the the the quick joke, I'll
-
tell you is that I had AI had a brain fog moment one day.
-
We were driving home and I was trying to we were talking about
-
some TV shows and stuff. And I was like, I cannot think
-
of this actor's name. And it was Tom Hanks.
-
And I said the guy that plays Woody.
-
And she was like, you mean Tom Hanks?
-
And I was like, yeah, that guy. And she said what is fatherhood
-
done to you? No, I'm joking.
-
But love and appreciate my wife so very much.
-
She is a trooper. She is amazing.
-
She is the wonderful mother of my child, our child.
-
And she is just, I can't say enough of how how amazing she
-
has been and just accolades, the accolades go to her.
-
And I love, love and appreciate her.
-
We just just remembered on Friday that we had been you
-
should always be dating. And those of you that aren't
-
married yet, you should always be dating your spouse.
-
We have been dating for 10 years, 10 years, whole decade.
-
So love that and love and appreciate them love and
-
appreciate my parents and everything that they have done
-
for us and and their support, endless support and love.
-
And I want to thank not only them but they they took care of
-
a whole week of meals for us and was it.
-
I know they're my parents, but I have to brag it just I love and
-
appreciate that soul bunch. It is.
-
It was a blessing. But not only did they do that,
-
then we had we had some of you church people come in and take
-
care of a week. Just you know, we, we had Reese,
-
we had Erica, we had Jen and Tyler, we had Zach and Malin
-
throughout the week. My parents picked up another day
-
too, but throughout the week blessed us and I am so thankful.
-
Thank you so much for loving and appreciating.
-
I, I, I could not appreciate more what you have done that you
-
took care of us in that time. You didn't have to.
-
We could have made it work, but you did that out of your, your
-
good old hearts. And I just love and appreciate
-
that. Can we give them a hand?
-
I'm so thankful for that. And that that is just the body.
-
That is just the body and I really appreciate that so very
-
much. If you will turn this afternoon,
-
evening, midnight, if you look outside to Judges 6 and verse 3.
-
Love and appreciate our pastor and his wife and so thankful for
-
them. Glad that they are, they're
-
going to go and, and have a trip and so glad that they are going
-
to be able to get away and, and have a little bit of sabbatical
-
and celebrate 2028 years. Amazing 28 years.
-
Love and appreciate them so very much In your Bibles.
-
Judges 3 six verse 3, it says. And so it was when Israel had
-
sown that the Midianites came up and the Amalekites and the
-
children of the East. Even they came up against them,
-
and they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of
-
the earth. Till thou come unto Gaza, and
-
left no substance for Israel, neither sheep nor ox, nor ass.
-
For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they
-
came as grasshoppers for the multitude, for both they and
-
their camels were without number, and they entered into
-
the land to destroy it. And Israel was greatly
-
impoverished because of the Midianites.
-
And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, one more, one
-
more scripture would be familiar to you is John 4 and 35.
-
It says, say not ye, there are yet four months, and then cometh
-
harvest Jesus speaking here it says, Behold, I say unto you,
-
lift up your eyes and look on the fields, for they are white
-
ready to harvest, ready to harvest.
-
I come tonight hoping for this to be more of a warning than a
-
than anything. We do not want to lose sight.
-
We do not want to lose sight. And so I'm going to speak
-
tonight on the eyes that see harvest, The eyes that see
-
harvest. Could you set your Bibles down?
-
Help me pray tonight, Lord, I ask you just to move in this
-
place, Lord, Your presence is already here.
-
You are already amongst us, Lord.
-
I ask you just to move, minister Lord to your people tonight,
-
Lord, touch your servant, Lord, that that I may speak what needs
-
to be spoken, Lord. It is your will, not mine, Lord.
-
Anything, Lord, that comes from my lips, Lord, would be of your
-
word, Lord, and the of your volition, God, I ask you just to
-
move and touch hearts and minds tonight, Lord.
-
A planting ground for your word Lord that would would be
-
flourishing. God minister Jesus in this place
-
that would see harvest in Jesus mighty name that we pray and
-
everyone said Amen, Amen. You may be seated tonight.
-
Look at your neighbor and say the eyes that see harvest maybe,
-
maybe bug eye a little bit at him or something.
-
In 2016, National Geographic explorer Mark Sonat, not snot
-
Sonat, boarded a Canadian icebreaker by the name of
-
academic Sergei Vavlov, and you'll have to forgive me for
-
that pronunciation to retrace one of history's strangest
-
disappearance. It was called the Franklin
-
Expedition through the Northwest Passage. 2 British ships HMS
-
Erebus and HMS Terror had set sail in 1845 to map out the
-
Northwest Passage and never returned. 129 men vanished into
-
the ice. For nearly two centuries, the
-
Arctic had kept its secret. Sanat's major modern crew of
-
today in 2016 carried every advantage, every advantage that
-
Franklin could have dreamed of. Radar, GPS, sonar, satellite
-
maps, ice forecasts. They had the power, they had
-
knowledge and communication to do this mission and find this
-
vanished ship. And when the wind shifted in the
-
Northwest Passage, within hours the sea hardened into a sheet of
-
ice. Their engines kept humming, but
-
the ship had stopped dead. They were dead in their tracks.
-
Sanaa even said it was like being alive inside a photograph.
-
No horizon, no sky, no sea. Just white in every direction.
-
For days they drifted nowhere, the ice creaking against the
-
hull of the ship, and the crew stood on the deck listening to
-
the sound of the pressure. And it it is, it is groaning
-
against the hull of the ship through the cracks of the ice,
-
though they conceive movement, you know, fish were flashing on
-
by, colors were going on by. You could see the fish.
-
And the strangest thing he said was realizing the world beneath
-
us was alive while everything else on the surface was locked
-
solid. They were not sinking, but they
-
were stuck. And then Snot said so.
-
Not said. That's when it hit me.
-
We weren't in danger of sinking. We were fine, but we were in
-
danger of staying. And I don't know if you know
-
anything about the Arctic. The more you stay, the more
-
danger you become. All right.
-
And so two weeks, two weeks went by and the wind actually turned
-
the ice and it loosened and the ship finally broke free.
-
And as they crept forward, sonar revealed a shape beneath the
-
surface and it was rectangular and it was wooden and it was
-
preserved and they had found the HMS Terror, Franklin's lost
-
ship, intact. Sanat had said.
-
What was lost wasn't gone. It was just buried under ice and
-
under the time, the time it just took time to find it.
-
And it was not lost. It was, it was just the vision
-
of not being able to see it until the ice broke.
-
It was just buried. And so when we get to Judges,
-
I'm going to come back to it. But when we get to Judges 6
-
here, we have 7 years of oppression that are going on.
-
You know, Israel's problem necessarily wasn't that nothing
-
was growing, wasn't growing. The text begins literally with
-
when Israel had sown, they had seed in the ground and the land
-
was producing once again. They were not in a famine.
-
They were in fruitfulness after years of struggle.
-
And their issue was timing. Every time a harvest stirred,
-
the enemy would show up. And it wasn't just random bad
-
luck, it was a pattern. And Israel had fallen into the
-
same cycle before. It may seem pretty familiar to
-
you. God blesses Israel.
-
Israel grows uncomfortable. Comfort becomes their
-
compromise. Their compromise turns into
-
rebellion and the rebellion turns into oppression.
-
And then what does Israel do but get on their knees and say,
-
Lord, we need you. They cry once again out to the
-
Lord that had taken them throughout time up to that
-
point. And we know throughout
-
Scripture, I've talked to students before here and at at
-
school, I've talked and joked about how whiny Israel has been
-
throughout time and how ironic that it is that they're whiny
-
because of how much they disobey God.
-
But then I also turn that joke into a lesson for the students
-
and that is us, that Israel is just a great representation of
-
humanity. That is all that they were
-
humans. We are human.
-
And we have to understand as much as we, when we're doing our
-
yearly Bible reading, we may be even getting tired of Israel.
-
You have to think, think of what God thinks of us sometimes,
-
right? We have to understand Israel is
-
just a good reflection mirror for us to look at.
-
The book of Judges repeats this cycle like a rhythm of a drum
-
beat. The children of Israel did evil
-
in the sight of the Lord, and then the Lord delivered them
-
into the hand of their enemies. And then after the pain and
-
after the suffering, the children of Israel cried out
-
unto the Lord. They were a nation that was
-
caught in a spiritual short term memory.
-
Every time God restored them, they relaxed their guard.
-
And every time they relaxed their guard, what would you know
-
it, an enemy returns. That's how the adversary still
-
works today. He is not omniscient, but he is
-
observant. When God begins to stir the
-
ground, when faith starts to breakthrough, the enemy moves in
-
to trample the crop. And so you have to understand,
-
Satan is not worried about the seeds.
-
You can plant as many seeds as you would like, plant as many
-
seeds as you would like, but the moment there starts to be a
-
harvest, you can bet that there will be an attack in our
-
opening. Jesus told the disciples.
-
He said lift up your eyes and look to the fields, for they are
-
white ready, all ready to harvest.
-
The the understanding of the tints of that statement is
-
already the harvest wasn't this future hope, but it was a
-
present reality that they had been too busy and too tired and
-
too doubtful to notice. Ladies and gentlemen, the
-
harvest is already here. We have been experiencing this
-
for the past couple months. The harvest is already here and
-
we over the course of time we should not get too caught up
-
that we lose sight of that. And that is where Israel stood
-
in Judges harvest had started, but fear blurred their vision,
-
making blessing and a threat look like the same.
-
They ran for the caves, they they guarded their lives, but
-
they surrendered the harvest. I don't want it to ever be said
-
of me that I would surrender the harvest to guard my life.
-
We should put our lives on the line for the harvest, not the
-
other way around. Surrendering.
-
They were surrendering the harvest.
-
And you see, the devil doesn't need to uproot what is growing,
-
he just needs sometimes to make you believe it's not growing.
-
If he can distort your vision, then he will make you and he
-
will get you convinced that you will abandoned the field
-
yourself. It's almost like Pavlov's dog.
-
A good example description would be that there would be some sort
-
of tone for for a dog. And every time the tone goes
-
off, you give it a treat. Well, eventually the dog gets
-
used to that, right? And then whenever you do the
-
tone and you don't have the treat, but the, the dog's there
-
and it sits and it's ready for the treat.
-
That is exactly the same thing. It is almost as if sometimes we
-
get in this pattern. Israel was getting in this
-
pattern of getting oppressed and getting getting the enemy is
-
Satan Satan's forces coming up against them and they were not
-
going to the harvest because they were afraid.
-
They were associating it with the enemy.
-
We have to remember that harvest is not associated with the
-
enemy. Harvest just means that the
-
enemy is coming, so their field stands ready for harvest.
-
It is it is destroyed. It is they are coming in and
-
then the enemy is going to destroy it.
-
No one dares to gather it out of fear.
-
No one is daring to gather it. The the multitudes of Israel are
-
not daring to do that. That is where we are church.
-
We are in the trenches of revival and we can feel God
-
moving and opening doors and people walking through and faith
-
growing. But at the same time, the
-
pressure is going to intensify the conflict like the the
-
weariness, the second guessing will start to come in.
-
And that is the pattern we have to look at through Scripture and
-
understand that when the harvest of revival is coming, we have to
-
be warned of some things that are going to come down the
-
pipeline and be aware of it beforehand.
-
The enemy can't stop your revival from coming, so he he
-
fights to steal our sight of it instead.
-
Because once it's here, if he steals your sight of it, we just
-
have people sitting, not believing in the revival.
-
He wants the church to only see struggle.
-
He doesn't want you to see the significance of the harvest.
-
He just wants you to remember the shaking that comes with the
-
harvest. He wants you to associate
-
harvest with, If I do that, then Satan's going to come and it is
-
not going to be good for me. He wants you to remember that
-
and all. All you can associate the
-
harvest with is negative things because the enemy comes in and
-
then all you want to do is go to the caves.
-
You don't want to go to the harvest, you want to go to the
-
caves. And like in in, in Mark's snot
-
ship in the Arctic, the danger was that if they stayed stuck,
-
then they were going to die. If we stay hidden like they did
-
in the caves, then the harvest is going to die.
-
We do not want the harvest to die.
-
Israel was paralyzed, if you will.
-
They were blessed, but they were blind because the enemy was
-
stealing that site of the harvest that God had for them.
-
It was theirs for the taking. I fully believe that if they
-
went and they take, they stood their ground and they kept going
-
towards the harvest and they continued and they decided to
-
actually thresh it and actually do the work that the enemy would
-
have been turned away by God. But they were afraid, and they
-
associated that fear with the harvest and God.
-
God was about to dress that blindness that they had.
-
But before he could raise a Gideon to fight, he had to
-
expose the forces that were causing it.
-
Every revival has some 2 familiar enemies, strife and
-
weariness. They are not new.
-
They may wear new disguises, but they are not new.
-
In in Israel's story they wore the names of the Midianites and
-
the Amalekites. The word minion means literally
-
strife or contention or judgment.
-
It's not just a tribe, it is a spirit of constant conflict.
-
Wherever God tries to bring unity, you can guarantee Midian
-
is going to show up to try to bring and sow suspicion.
-
Midian is the unsaid tension in the room that you can't quite
-
put your finger on. Midian whispers they don't
-
really care about you whenever they truly do.
-
Midian is turning minor on misunderstandings into major
-
offenses. Midian is going to convince you
-
that every correction not only for God but from the man of God
-
is criticism and an attack. Midian.
-
When the spirit of Midian comes in, you are going to start
-
taking note of who raises their hands and who doesn't raise
-
their hands, who recognize, who is recognized and who is
-
overlooked. Midian is bringing comparison,
-
suspicion and complaint. The spirit of Midian works to
-
turn worshippers into spectators and then turn those spectators
-
into critics. The spirit of Midian is there to
-
create discourse, and he will show up whenever the harvest is
-
there. Whenever you try to grab the
-
harvest there, you can guarantee Midian.
-
The spirit of Midian is around the corner, looking, seeing who
-
could be impacted by him. And then there's him, Amalek.
-
His name traces back to roots meaning toil or vexation or
-
doubt. Amalek is finding the weary.
-
He is finding the ones who have fought the longest, prayed the
-
hardest and stayed the latest. He is not hitting head on.
-
But in Exodus 17 we can see that he comes in from behind.
-
Exodus 17 even shows us that when Amalek struck, it was the
-
tail of the Israelites line. Amalek is waiting till revival
-
feels like routine and then he comes in.
-
You've been doing this long enough, you're tired.
-
Just just go home. Just stay home.
-
They'll have church without you. It's fine.
-
He doesn't need you to backslide, he just needs you to
-
back off. And between the two, Midian is
-
going to divide and Amalek is going to drain the Saints.
-
And so together they form a nice perfect ambush. 1 is distracting
-
you with noise and issues that arise, and the other is wearing
-
you down with fatigue. And by the time you have
-
noticed, the field has already left unguarded because you've
-
got people hiding in a cave. They have lost sight of the
-
harvest. I am telling you that as things
-
continue to go through the revival fire, burning of
-
harvest, that these spirits are going to show up.
-
I can tell you and and I can tell you since Pastor Wilkes has
-
been here, I cannot tell you the amount of exhaustion I have had.
-
I can't explain it. I, I have you might, you can ask
-
my wife. I have taken naps.
-
It is not because of our daughter.
-
My our daughter is an Angel. She's fine.
-
I have taken naps like crazy. I've been exhausted.
-
I cannot describe it. It is not because of the time of
-
year for me. It is not because of the time of
-
year. It I have realized that it is
-
Amalek. Amalek has been.
-
The spirit of Amalek has been trying to wear me down.
-
You have to pinpoint these things and pray against these
-
things because we do not want it to be a hindrance to the
-
harvest. You got to.
-
You got to understand that these things are bigger than us.
-
We have to understand that we have power in our prayer and if
-
we allow it, we allow Satan to go unchecked.
-
He is going to get the best of us.
-
He is going to make us try to go back to the caves and lose sight
-
of that harvest. So I'm putting, I'm putting the
-
spirit of Midian Amalek on notice tonight that there is a
-
warning going towards the Saints that the harvest will not be
-
lost sight of. Revival dies the moment enough
-
people replace those expectations.
-
When Minnie and Amalek come creeping in.
-
We have to understand that that harvest is close.
-
If there is a trying in your life, if there are things coming
-
up and where did this come from and oh, the sickness and I know
-
it's the time of year, but there is a difference.
-
When there are things that start to come up and it's just out of
-
nowhere, you can bet that probably revival is still, it is
-
here. And we have to, we have to pray
-
against that. That is, Gideon's generation
-
forgot. Gideon's generation forgot that
-
the harvest was close whenever the enemy came closer, and so
-
they let Midian's division and Amalek's exhaustion chase them
-
off of their own property. Instead of standing in their
-
fields, they hid in those caves. But in the middle of that
-
hiding, God was looking for a thresher that had not lost sight
-
of God's blessing, someone whose vision was still intact.
-
He didn't come to a soldier in armor.
-
He came to a farmer, so to speak, of clutching a handful of
-
grain, if you will. Getting was trying to protect
-
what was left. Judges 6 and 11 says.
-
And there came an Angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which
-
was in Ephora, that pertained to Joash the Abizarite and his son.
-
Gideon threshed wheat by the wine press to hide it from the
-
Midianites. We come up on Gideon.
-
He is threshing wheat in. He is threshing wheat by the
-
wine press to hide it. He is doing harvest work and
-
hiding. I want you to understand harvest
-
work is not a hiding work. Gideon was doing the best he
-
could, but that it was not what God intended.
-
Harvest work as a whole with grain, it is supposed to be done
-
in the fields, out in the open at this time, open on a hill
-
where where the wind can separate the chaff from the
-
grain. But here we have Gideon, and he
-
has no freedom for that. And he is doing sacred work
-
underground because the enemy has now turned the field into a
-
war zone and because the people had fled to the caves.
-
Gideon is not lazy, but he is traumatized.
-
He is not, but he is fearful. And Gideon is not idle.
-
He is trying to salvage. He is trying to keep some
-
remnant of what God gave Israel before it is all gone.
-
And it is there that the Angel of the Lord appears and says in
-
verse 12 that the Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valor.
-
It wasn't because Gideon was fearless.
-
It wasn't because he was a man of valor in the sense of what we
-
think of where war, but it is this a sense that he was still
-
having the vision of the harvest through all of the ups and downs
-
of what Israel was going through currently.
-
He still had that grain and he was threshing.
-
He might have been looking over his shoulder, making sure that
-
that whenever you know, not knowing how deep he is in The
-
Cave, not knowing if the Midianites were going to come in
-
further and the Malachites, he was threshing because revival
-
does not begin with perfect people.
-
It begins with people who refuse to stop working even when they
-
are scared. We have to understand that there
-
are going to be times we are scared, but we have to keep
-
working. We have to keep going to the
-
harvest. Sanat said that he was in
-
danger. They were in danger of sinking.
-
They weren't in danger of sinking, but they were in danger
-
of staying. When we reveal that and then
-
look at that, that is a church's warning because we're not
-
sinking. There is not a sinking.
-
We're not dying. But if we stay where it's safe,
-
if we thresh our wheat underground while the fields are
-
full, then we will miss the harvest that is happening above
-
ground. God did not call Gideon to
-
survive. He did not call just the church
-
to just survive. He called them to see again, to
-
see the vision again. And so when we get to Judges 7,
-
Gideon has rallied an army of 32,000 men.
-
They camp beside the spring of Harad.
-
Harad. The spring of Harad means to
-
tremble or quake. Even a Hebrew phrase in Harad
-
translates to the eye of trembling.
-
They are camped at the place where fear and faith are going
-
to collide, trembling at the spring.
-
That spring, God says tell the fearful to go home and 22,000
-
leave. Now we're left with 10,000 and
-
they look like a loss to you. But that was clarity.
-
That was clarity. God wasn't downsizing.
-
He was purifying because you cannot conquer an enemy while
-
you're still negotiating with fear.
-
You fear is going to show us what we've been leaning on.
-
And then God has a second test for the rest at the water,
-
watching how they drink. I didn't have it up there, but
-
it's Judges 7 and five it says. So he brought down the people
-
into the water. And the Lord said unto Gideon,
-
Everyone that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog
-
lappeth him, shalt thou set by himself.
-
Likewise everyone that boweth down upon his knees to drink.
-
And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to
-
the mouth, there were 300 men. But all the rest of the people
-
bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
-
And the Lord said to Gideon, By the 300 men that lapped, I will
-
save you and deliver the Midianites unto thy hand, and
-
let all other people go, every man to his place.
-
What on earth is this significance?
-
God, what does this mean when you read this lapping like a dog
-
and he's taking it to his hands, What's the difference between
-
take cupping it into his hands and then being on his knees?
-
The men that scooped the water up to their mouths, they stayed
-
alert. They they kept their eyes up,
-
they were watching their surroundings.
-
The others, they are in a more compromised and vulnerable
-
position. They are more relaxed when
-
they're on their knees. They are unaware of their
-
surroundings. God was after the ones who were
-
disciplined and watchful. Those that were ready for the
-
battle. Even in the small moments like
-
this, we're just drinking water. Why is that important?
-
Well, they still needed to be aware that there was an enemy
-
that was going to be a around the corner and it could come at
-
any moment. And so God is saying I can do
-
more with a few focused people and faithful people than with a
-
crowd of careless, unfocused people.
-
And so there were those 300 that the Lord said would use to help
-
Gideon win the victory. When we get to Judges 7 and
-
verse 20, it says the three companies blew the trumpets, and
-
they break the pictures and held the lamps in their left hands
-
and the trumpets in their right hands to blow with all.
-
And they cried, the sword of the Lord and of Gideon Gideon's 300
-
men, surrounding the enemy with clay jars and torches and
-
trumpets. I don't know about you, but that
-
does not sound like weaponry to me.
-
And at the signal they break the pitchers and the light lifted,
-
and those jars that once possibly stored grain, they now
-
hold a flame. God took the same vessels that
-
once preserved the wheat, the harvest if you will, and filled
-
them with fire. God is taking those ordinary
-
tools of Labor and turning them into instruments of revival and
-
revelation and victory. The jars were not special, the
-
soldiers were not elite, and the plan did not make a lick of
-
sense. But the moment that the vessels
-
broke, victory began and the enemy turned on itself.
-
Whenever you walk in faithfulness, even in the plan
-
that does not make sense, but it is from God, just trust that the
-
enemy is going to turn on itself.
-
It is not going to be you. There's going to be victory.
-
Even when it doesn't look right, even when it doesn't make sense.
-
We can't, we can't afford to, to nitpick at God's plan.
-
We have to allow it to move in the way He planned it. 2nd
-
Corinthians 4 and 7 even says, but we have this treasure in
-
earthen vessels, that the Excellency of the power may be
-
of God and not of us. We have to put ourselves in
-
check. Sometimes God allows things to
-
crack in so the light can escape, so to speak.
-
And so revival is always going to demand a breaking again.
-
The pressure is going to intensify.
-
Pride is going to break. Schedules are going to break.
-
Habits are going to break. The sound of shout uttering is
-
preceding the shine of glory. That's even how the ice broke
-
around in Sanat's ship. The same noise that terrified
-
them actually became their sound of freedom.
-
When that ice fractured or when the jar burst, the light escaped
-
and the enemy panics and their freedom is restored.
-
Gideon's army never swung a sword.
-
That doesn't even say that they even had any swords on them.
-
They shouted the sword of the Lord and of Gideon, and they
-
stood still with those jars and broke them.
-
God turned that enemy on itself. We win not by volume, but by
-
vision. They won because they were
-
aligned in the same godly vision.
-
Philippians 4 and seven says in the peace of God with path.
-
So path is all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds
-
through Christ Jesus. If you need to have an
-
understanding and and focusing on something, you need to have
-
the peace of God. Pray for the peace of God
-
because it'll give you understanding and it will keep
-
your heart and your mind through those times that Minion and
-
Amalek want to try to come up and destroy you.
-
It is going to keep you. When the church keeps its eyes
-
on Jesus, that peace is going to guard your perception.
-
It is going to guard that noise of Minion Amalek outside.
-
It cannot blind you anymore. But the faith inside, that's
-
what's going to keep you. That is what's going to keep
-
you. And so we get to Judges 8 and
-
verse 28. And it says thus was Midian
-
subdued before the children of Israel, so that they lifted up
-
their heads no more. And the country was in quietness
-
40 years in the days of Gideon. That's the thaw, if you will.
-
The ice finally is melting. The fields are breathing again,
-
the people of God, and in rest and harvest they are.
-
They have rest, but they have harvest.
-
When you have victory over the spirits of Midian and of of of
-
Amalek, there's going to be rest, but there's still going to
-
be that harvest. There's still going to be that
-
victory that is going to bring substantial harvest.
-
And we cannot allow that enemy to come in and take what has
-
been promised. Gideon's first altar is named
-
Jehovah. Shalom, which is the Lord is
-
peace. Peace doesn't mean quiet, it
-
means wholeness, alignment, as we saw everything in its
-
rightful place. When revival matures, it is
-
going to produce peace, Not the abundance of sound, but the
-
presence of order. Thinking again of Mark Sinat
-
after weeks of that frozen stillness that they were in, his
-
team found life beneath that ice.
-
They saw. They saw the fish and they saw
-
everything and they saw the truth behind the beneath the
-
myth, because that there was a myth that they couldn't find
-
that ship. And then they found it and it
-
was what was once lost. It wasn't gone.
-
It was just buried under ice and time.
-
The revival that we are seeing and we are going to go into
-
maturity with has not been gone and has not been lost to us.
-
It was just waiting under ice and time, if you will.
-
And we are at the point of time and season and we have to
-
understand that when those things that the enemy comes in,
-
we still have a right to that harvest.
-
We still have a right to that field that the enemy is trying
-
to make us lose sight of. That's what God was saying to
-
the church. Is that what you feared was
-
finished is still alive beneath the service.
-
What you thought you had lost in the cold of compromise, in the
-
silence of spiritual fatigue, if you will, is right beneath your
-
feet. You're standing in it.
-
The devil can't up, up, root, and outpour the spirit.
-
He cannot unpour the spirit. It has already been done.
-
He cannot unheal the sick. He cannot unsave the soul.
-
His only move now is to try to make us blind to what is
-
happening. Isaiah 4319 I behold, I will do
-
a new thing, and it shall spring forth.
-
Shall ye not know it? The challenge is, shall ye not
-
know it? In other words, can you not see
-
what I am doing? We can live in revival and still
-
miss it if our eyes are focused on Midian and Amalek
-
complaining, comparing, critiquing, exhaustion.
-
The miracle isn't always loud, but sometimes it is a quiet,
-
steady beneath the surface, something that is moving
-
underneath the surface. The church has to guard it's
-
sight, the ways those sailors guarded their hall, checking for
-
cracks, listening for the pressure, staying alert.
-
Just like those men at the eye of trembling.
-
They have to. They have to have their eyes up
-
and focus. We do not have time to get
-
sidetracked with other things and the enemy trying to make us
-
lose sight of what is right in front of us that we are standing
-
in. Because in that story with Marks
-
and not the same wind that freezed is also the same wind
-
that freed. Depending on where your eyes are
-
fixed, that'll change your perception.
-
Music can start to come. Church, we are standing at the
-
eye of trembling. We are at a crossroads where we
-
if we want revival to mature, we have to understand that the eye
-
of trembling is not there to scare us, but is there to
-
stabilize. He is teaching us we need to see
-
clearly while everything else shakes, while while while Midian
-
an Amalek, the enemy comes in when when we start to when
-
revival starts to mature, we have to understand that we need
-
to see clearly. We have to have eyes that see
-
harvest Marks and not said that. His greatest fear wasn't
-
sinking, it was staying. We have to have that, that
-
healthy fear as well. We cannot, we cannot stay frozen
-
and get caught up in the lives of the enemy trying to make us
-
lose sight of revival. Revival has already thawed the
-
waters, but if we let fear freeze it again, we will drift
-
right back into patterns, the patterns that Israel even fell
-
into, and we will hide from the revival that we prayed for, hide
-
from the revival that we fasted for, that we've been promised.
-
Do not allow many in an amalek to creep in and hinder the
-
revival that is at hand. If we could stand, these altars
-
are open. Please take this as a warning
-
tonight. The revival that is maturing
-
into something beautiful in order to see it.
-
We cannot allow the enemy to try to take our sight.
-
We cannot allow the enemy to come in.
-
We don't let a fence harden your heart.
-
Don't let exhaustion close your eyes.
-
It is not an external battle that is ruining the harvest, but
-
it is the internal blindness of the Saints that would do it.
-
It is the blindness of the Saints that lets the field sit
-
there because we have allowed our sight to be tainted by the
-
whispers of the enemy. The Eye of Trembling was not the
-
place where harvest died. It was actually where it was
-
defined. Church, I am telling you, God is
-
calling you to have eyes that see the harvest, that see
-
revival. Not blinded by fear or strife
-
when the enemy comes in, not being frozen by fatigue, but
-
allowing allowing God to show you the truth.
-
When the enemy is going to come in and show you lies and try to
-
get get disunity in the church and try to wear you down, you
-
have got to speak and pray against that.
-
You have power in your prayer that you could speak against
-
those things and speak against the enemy coming against the
-
church. That we would see the matured
-
revival that we have been promised moving forward.
-
The harvest is at hand. We are standing in it, but we
-
have to go and pick it. We have to go and not allow the
-
enemy to come into our camp and take it.
-
We cannot allow the enemy to destroy it and destroy Troy, our
-
sign church, come tonight if we want that matured revival.
-
We cannot allow our vision to be distorted.
-
When our vision gets distorted, things that have been promised
-
get delayed or get swallowed up. And when that happens, then
-
we'll go cry and Lord, Lord, just like the Israelites did.
-
But we have to fix our eyes steadfastly on Him, steady in
-
peace and steady in what he would have for First Apostolic
-
Church, for the revival that has been promised many a years by
-
many of ministers. We have to take this warning and
-
understand when the enemy is going to come in and hit it.
-
They will. Those spirits will.
-
Satan will come in. When we understand that that is
-
going to happen, we have to focus up and look up towards the
-
harvest. Don't focus on anything else
-
around you. Don't focus on the the undertow
-
of of Midian and Amalek trying to create things and issues in
-
the church and hinder revival. Focus on the harvest.
-
The harvest been promised to you.
-
The harvest has been promised and you're standing in it.
-
All you have to do is pick by faith.
-
We have to have that clarity at the eye of trembling that we
-
would see the harvest. Hallelujah.
