The Lord, a great handclap of praise, Amen.
-
The Spirit of the Lord does a drawing.
-
Spirit of the Lord does a drawing, Amen.
-
We honor the Lord. Amen.
-
Tonight for them, Amen. What God is going to do in their
-
lives. Hallelujah this evening.
-
Got out here after prayer tonight and there was some
-
Cologne on my front seat there with the name of Genesis Cologne
-
called Genesis. Brother Reese thought that that
-
would be appropriate and probably a Cologne that I need
-
for those that attend here regularly.
-
Before we went to connect groups.
-
I've been in a series on Genesis, matter of fact, here
-
and there, on and off. We've been probably about 50
-
lessons in Genesis. So they thought it necessary, I
-
guess that I have. I smelled it a little bit,
-
smelled a little tower Babble in there and maybe a hand of Sodom,
-
Gomorrah and even a few genealogies.
-
I think that they're. But that's funny, isn't it?
-
Amen. You can always depend on people.
-
Brother Boyd years ago said you don't have to worry about being
-
prideful, said because. People always keep you humble.
-
People always keep you humble. Amen.
-
I want to turn to the word of the Lord tonight.
-
Still yet in the prophet of Isaiah here tonight, prophet
-
Isaiah chapter #6 and a few verses of Scripture, Amen, this
-
evening. And I'll tell you, and, and this
-
is just the way it's been here of late.
-
And I, I'm just tell you right from the go, I will be
-
repetitive somewhat tonight. In preacher terminology, we call
-
it theological circling. That is that you come to the
-
same truth from several different angles.
-
And kind of like whenever Jesus, a New Testament scripture, he
-
said the Kingdom of heaven is like he tells a parable and a
-
little later down the Kingdom of heaven is like he tells a
-
parable and and he's coming from different angles to solidify a
-
truth, Amen about the Kingdom of God.
-
So I'm going to try to do that Amen here this evening through
-
God's Word. Isaiah chapter #6 again, good to
-
see you all, Tamara. So glad to have you.
-
Amen there by Amber. I know she's happy to have you
-
folks after church. You need to go see Amber's like
-
notebook. I can't even describe like the
-
outside of it, these little rubber like finger things,
-
they're all over it it. It looks like a sensory tool to
-
me, but. I said what?
-
In the world. You got over there, she.
-
Says that's my notebook I take. Notes.
-
I said, well that's fine, that's fine.
-
I'm just kind of drawn. To it for some reason.
-
So hey man, you need to check that out.
-
Check that out Isaiah 6 and verse one.
-
The Bible says in the year that King Uzziah died, Isaiah says I
-
saw also the Lord setting up on the throne high and lifted up,
-
and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the Seraphim's
-
which was a a classification or type of Angel.
-
Each one had 6 wings. With Twain he covered his face,
-
and with Twain, Twain means two, he covered his feet, and with
-
Twain he did fly and. One cried.
-
And two, another, and said Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts.
-
The whole earth is full of his glory.
-
So there's a lot of different, it's a lot of different things
-
really that's contained within these first few verses.
-
We have our earthly king that has died.
-
We have we have Seraphim's and angels that are in the picture.
-
There are some things being cried.
-
Isaiah, no doubt is present. Amen.
-
But there's something not to be missed in the three verses as
-
well. That is the Lord.
-
And so with the help of the Lord tonight, I'm going to minister
-
this Beyond angels wings, beyond angels wings, Hallelujah.
-
Let's ask the Lord to help us. Father, I thank you.
-
I praise you, Lord, for another opportunity in time.
-
I don't want to ever take for granted, Lord, the opportunity
-
of coming, Lord, to your house and center in my life, Lord,
-
around your word. I pray, O God, that you're able
-
to help us tonight. I pray God that you're able to
-
enter this building, Lord, in a way that we could, Lord, feel
-
and acknowledge and recognize the Lord that you are here,
-
Lord, to do, to perform, to touch, to reorient.
-
I pray God, us in some fashion and way, God, we're so thankful
-
for what you've done today. God, we pray Lord, that you
-
would continue to do and accomplish something even here
-
this evening in our lives as we give ourselves over to you in
-
the lovely name of the Lord Jesus Christ that I pray
-
Hallelujah, Hallelujah in the church say Amen, Amen.
-
You may be seated tonight in Jesus name.
-
You don't have to raise your hand this evening when I ask you
-
the. Next couple of questions.
-
Kind of rhetorical for yourself or to somehow provoke your mind
-
and thinking in a direction, but has anyone here ever seen an
-
Angel or had what you would call an undeniable angelic
-
visitation? I don't know if maybe you have
-
or have not or perhaps known someone who who has, but
-
whenever I. Was a a.
-
Teenager. I remember saying as a teenager,
-
young of course, that I had seen an Angel.
-
But. If I'm honest, tonight what that
-
really was at least. For me, I'm just talking about
-
myself. Tonight was a yielding to.
-
The pressure of a lot of other. People that I was.
-
Around that was my age who were saying that they had seen an
-
Angel and being a young impressionable individual rather
-
Fred, I didn't want to be left out from not having seen an
-
Angel. I didn't want to seem as though
-
I was subpar to all of the rest. Of my peers.
-
And perhaps less spiritual, you know, compared to them, to
-
those. Who had claimed that they had
-
seen that and had that type of experience?
-
For that matter, I I confess. To you that I wanted to see it.
-
I wanted to be able to say brother.
-
Trout that that. I had seen it, but I admit a
-
standing before you. Today, not a teenager.
-
But 47 years? Old and tell you plainly.
-
And humbly that I did not see anything but.
-
What I did experience there was something very real.
-
I felt an overwhelming presence of the Lord Brother Mason in
-
that camp. Boys dormitory where I was.
-
I may not have seen an Angel, but I.
-
Had an encounter with God nonetheless.
-
And in retrospect, that matters more.
-
I grew up during the air. I'm just going to take a little.
-
Cautionary tale from my life. Tonight I grew up in during an
-
era of time when I was exposed to ministries that described
-
and, and I don't want to be misunderstood tonight, so I'll
-
probably throw disclaimers in there along the way, but that I
-
grew up during the time that that there was ministries that
-
that describe their encounter with with angels in vivid
-
detail. I I remember as a young man,
-
ministers and preachers and I, I do not fault that.
-
And I believe those episodes happen absolutely.
-
But I remember as a young man hearing those things spoken.
-
Of in vivid detail and. Even in services that I
-
attended, Brother Fred, people would testify openly about
-
angelic visitations, and they said that they saw them and
-
there would be others in the room that would affirm that they
-
likewise had seen. Them.
-
In that service as well, I remember just being a young,
-
impressionable young boy, remembering quietly and
-
wondering quietly, Brother Reese, how how spiritual this
-
is. Just the mind of a teenager,
-
mind you, how spiritual a person must be to see an Angel or have
-
an angelic presence that would come around them and make itself
-
known to them, particularly in a service that I was just as much
-
as part of as anybody else in that service.
-
And so without anybody saying, saying it out loud as a young
-
teenage boy, there was a unspoken hierarchy that begin to
-
be developed in my own mind. And that was those who had seen
-
something and those who had not seen something, those who had
-
experienced it and those who had not experienced it.
-
And so in in there was an atmosphere then as a result of
-
that that was engendered in my generation with this
-
preoccupation with with seeing or experiencing the angelic.
-
I remember this quite notably, Amen.
-
And so again, I want to be clear tonight, I believe those
-
episodes happen and I believe they still happen, Amen.
-
If it's in the Bible, it happens, all right?
-
It still happens. And I believe the Scripture in
-
the writer of Hebrews when he speaks to us and says that some
-
have entertained angels unawares, sometimes just through
-
simple acts of hospitality and kindness that we have shown to
-
strangers or people that we do not know.
-
And I also think tonight squarely based upon God's Word,
-
that we have likely entertained angels unawares far more times
-
even than what we realize. We may never recognize that we
-
may not ever seen some beaming glow around someone, but we've
-
experienced it. And so somewhere along the way,
-
however we begin though I I remember in that era that
-
they're they're in maybe even it still occurs today that there's
-
association with an angelic visitation as only happening for
-
the Super spiritual type people. Those those that have a certain
-
badge of spirituality being able to experience that or maybe just
-
a certain classification of Christianity that can experience
-
that Amen that that angels were just badges of spiritual
-
achievement on people's lapels when reality according to God's
-
word, they are servants that are on divine assignments all
-
throughout God's word. The Bible seems to indicate to
-
you and I that that the entourage of the Lord's very
-
presence is often times angelic in form.
-
It's angelic in practice. In other words, angels do not
-
announce a individual's spiritual rival because they've
-
seen that or witnessed that. If you've seen that Angel, then
-
you you've arrived spiritually or you got some type of leg of a
-
superiority in the spirit on top of someone.
-
No angels. What they really do for us, if
-
they are present is that they announced that we are in close
-
proximity to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and the
-
great divine. And so we've aired sometimes by
-
vying for the attention of angels, when really what we
-
should be looking toward and focusing on is a deeper hunger
-
and desire for the presence of God.
-
Someone say Amen. I guess my, my, my conveyance is
-
this tonight. Angels are not our destination.
-
Angels are just the accompaniment of the king.
-
They are the ambassadors, they are the escorts, they are the
-
cohorts, if you will, of God Himself.
-
Scripture tells us it describes angels as being ministering
-
spirits. It describes them as being
-
messengers of the King of glory. They deliver announcements.
-
They many times were found bringing about announcements
-
concerning miraculous births, births that could not happen had
-
it not been for the intervention of God.
-
Some angels have brought warnings of impending doom to
-
nations and people. In the book of Job, like we
-
spoke this morning, angels are called the sons of God.
-
Amen. That Satan even once walked
-
among in the presence of God. They are called in Scripture
-
holy ones or watchers, or a heavenly host or the host of
-
heaven. When you read in Scripture,
-
sometimes angels appear in human form with human characteristics.
-
Sometimes they speak like men, eat like them, fight like them,
-
possess wisdom at times that rivals human understanding.
-
And yet there's also times that they can be invisible, swift,
-
capable of flight which is beyond our human ability and
-
understanding. Angels in scripture were called
-
alongside to assist. They were called alongside to
-
guide and above all else they were called even and as we are
-
to worship. John tells us in the Book of
-
Revelation when he had a vision of the throne of God, he said as
-
I stood there, he said I beheld and I also heard a voice of many
-
angels around about the throne. He said they numbered 1000 * 10
-
thousands and thousands of thousands, and they were all
-
declaring with one voice Worthy is the the Lamb, Amen.
-
If I'm telling you right, tonight the angels are not
-
present, and they do not come nigh and do they do not come
-
near for the purpose of drawing attention to themselves, but for
-
the purpose of. Giving attention.
-
Of giving attention unto God. They are called to worship, not
-
to be worshipped. Church through the ages, even
-
the Apostolic Church through the ages has occasionally flirted
-
with the air. And it's not because of
-
rebellion or anything like that, but there's sometimes been a
-
misplaced fascination with the angelic.
-
But we need to have a longing for God that exceeds A longing
-
for the angelic Hey man. John himself, even in the Book
-
of Revelation momentarily fell into a moment of being
-
overwhelmed by what he was experiencing in the vision that
-
the Bible says the Angel that would been accompanying him.
-
Hey man, whenever John is seeing everything that he sees and
-
beholding everything that he beholds, the Bible says that
-
John the revelator fell down at the feet of the Angel and begin
-
to worship him. And the Angel seeing this
-
immediately spoke to John and he said, see thou do it not.
-
Don't you be kneeling here, Don't be worshipping here.
-
Don't be giving me any type of exaltation here, he says.
-
Because in essence, I'm a worshipper.
-
It's like you're a worshipper. In essence, I'm not the point,
-
it's the one. Who's sitting on the throne?
-
That's the point, folks. We can be fascinated by all
-
sorts and types of things, but blessed are they which do hunger
-
and thirst after. Him I don't need an Angel, but
-
I. Do need God?
-
Hey, man, Paul echoes this warning.
-
He. Cautions the Church at.
-
Colossians, he says, well, to them that would be beguiled by
-
worshipping of angels. God, he never rebukes a Angel
-
for accompanying him, but he does OFT times correct us, Amen.
-
Whenever we stop there, Amen. And we neglect the divine that's
-
behind the angelic, please understand.
-
And I got to tell you this because I don't want to be
-
misunderstood tonight. I believe in the existence of
-
angels. I'm not diminishing the purpose
-
of angels. I just simply want to tell you
-
tonight, yes, there should be honor and there should be
-
respect and there should be acknowledgement.
-
Haman And all of that is true. Haman The problem isn't angels.
-
The problem is I don't want to stop short at the angelic and
-
not press on through to the divine, because it's from him
-
and by him and through him that all these things come about.
-
It is for him. And to.
-
Him that all of these things are 4.
-
Thank God. I hope someone does see an
-
Angel, but you must. Understand they are an
-
ambassador of a higher power. They are a messenger of a divine
-
God who just is very spittle became universes shut them
-
beyond angels. Wings.
-
That's what we see in Scripture, Brother Fred.
-
You see it a lot in the Old Testament angelic visitations
-
through the Old Testament Genesis, Abram and Sarah visited
-
by what they believe 3 angels. They did recognize something,
-
but it was only confirmed later that one of them was the Angel
-
of the Lord. And usually when that
-
terminology is used in Scripture, we're talking about
-
some manifestation of God Himself, almost like a theophany
-
is the, the, the, the, you know, proper terminology.
-
Amen. Showing himself manifested
-
himself. And it was later that they
-
realized what we had here then in reality was God accompanied
-
by two angels. When angels showed up in the
-
word of God, it wasn't because people were chasing angels.
-
It's because people were pursuing God.
-
Draw near unto God. The Bible even draws some
-
distinct line concerning classifications of angels we we
-
read of in Scripture. You probably got some in your
-
home, you know, cherubs or cherubim, hey man, or seraphim
-
and seraphim, that's spoken up throughout the Scripture.
-
These were so important that God even included them.
-
Amen. As a sign unto us in His design
-
for the Tabernacle and even the temple.
-
The Bible tells us in Second Chronicles, he told them
-
whenever you make the veil for the temple, make sure that you
-
weave it with cherubim upon that veil.
-
Amen. That's right.
-
Before going into the ark of God and the holies of holies, I want
-
you to stitch some angels right there to the very entrance of
-
God's presence. He says I want symbolically,
-
Amen, throughout my temple, my Tabernacle, whether it's in the
-
curtains, whether it's in the veil, whether it's in carvings
-
on the wall, whether it's in the tin carvings, Amen.
-
That's upon the 10 lavers in the temple.
-
I want you to put angels there, and I want you to put seraphim
-
there and cherubim there. What are you doing, God?
-
He says I'm just reinforcing, Amen, that wherever my presence
-
is, you're just going to find the Angelica, you're going to
-
find angels, Amen. That if you see a Angel, it's
-
not there on its own or by its own reasoning or for its own
-
purpose. That I'm there.
-
That I'm. Present that Oh yes, cherubim
-
attended the ark of the covenant David, the Bible says in the
-
book of second Samuel, the ark of God had been gone for quite
-
some time. He goes to retrieve the ark of
-
God and the Bible says the ark of God, second Samuel 6 two the
-
ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the Lord of hosts
-
that developed between the cherubims, the Lord of hosts.
-
It's one of those fancy words. You ever heard the Scripture and
-
people pray them. You know, like Jehovah Jireh,
-
Jehovah Shamar, Jehovah tis canoe.
-
Well, Jehovah Sabeoth was the Lord of hosts.
-
That appears. That Lord of hosts appears
-
hundreds of times in your Bible and it declares him as the Lord
-
of the heavenly armies, or if you will, the Lord of hosts,
-
meaning the Lord of the angels, the Lord of the angels.
-
As a matter of fact, whenever David went to fight against
-
Goliath in that valley of Elah, Amen.
-
Here he is just a shepherd boy. Here he is with just his stone
-
and his sling and his shepherd's bag and his staff.
-
He cries out to that grand enemy of Israel, Goliath.
-
And he tells him, I don't come to you with a shield or with a
-
sword of all the modern botanics, if you will, of
-
warfare. He says, but I come to you,
-
Amen, in the name of the Lord of hosts.
-
This was never a battle against a a shepherd and a giant.
-
It was a battle against a giant. And the Lord of hosts, the Lord
-
in his army of angels. What does that mean tonight?
-
That means wherever the Lord is. Amen.
-
Folks, we are never outnumbered. We're never outnumbered.
-
The Bible says that Elijah was standing in a precarious place
-
one time with his servants, surrounded by enemies.
-
And the servant says, Elijah, we're, we're, we're at odds
-
here. We're, we're in a bad position
-
because we're surrounded by adversaries.
-
And there was something that Elijah had picked up on Amen,
-
that the servant had picked up on.
-
Elijah knew that he was walking right in the divine pathway of
-
the presence of God. And he says, I know if God's.
-
Presence is here. He's the Lord of hosts.
-
He's the Lord of angels. He lays his hands on that.
-
Servant, and he says God. Open his eyes so that that he
-
can see and the. Servant looked around and
-
there's. Horses and Chariots, angelic
-
fire, all of that was nothing more but a testimony that God
-
was there. God was there.
-
Amen. That's, I mean, angels are just
-
the Lord's personnel. They're always in Scripture you
-
read, they're always connected with God, and almost every
-
transition into God's presence seems to be in Scripture, many
-
times accompanied by the angelic.
-
Isaiah 37 tells us that he saw the Lord enthroned between the
-
cherubim. The prophet Ezekiel harmonize us
-
with the account of Isaiah and says there in the 1st chapter of
-
Ezekiel, it's a fantastic descriptive reading.
-
He says that he saw these cherubim or these angels
-
supporting the very throne of God, and that they moved
-
wherever the Spirit moved. They're not moving of their own
-
volition or at their own command.
-
But wherever the Spirit moved, that's where we go.
-
That's where we follow Isaiah and our text said the seraphim
-
are crying. Holy, holy, holy.
-
They're not talking about each other.
-
They're talking about the one that's seated on the throne.
-
They're not talking about their brother Angel.
-
No, no, no. They're talking about the one
-
seated on the throne. Angels have appeared through
-
moments of time in Scripture. They've been there at births,
-
they've been there at deaths. They've been there at
-
deliverances. They've been there at callings.
-
But anytime they showed up, they were not the spectacle.
-
They were just a confirmation. That God is at.
-
Work. God is here.
-
God is in this place. God is about boy.
-
So they're not a end in themselves.
-
God's the central glory. Angels are just on the
-
peripheral. And I know sometimes we can be
-
dazzled by the outskirts, but it's the central glory.
-
It's that which is God's glory. That is the transformative
-
glory. An Angel can't save you for that
-
matter, I believe we said it here in the past few weeks.
-
What you got the Spirit of God even angels desire to look into
-
because here they are attendance of His glory, but they can't be
-
in the field with the Spirit like you and I are filled.
-
With the Spirit. And so they're interested in
-
that aspect of our lives. They're always connected with
-
God. Amen.
-
The Bible tells us Makaya, he's a prophet.
-
You can read of him in First Kings 22.
-
This is what Makaya the prophet said concerning the Lord.
-
And it's very similar to what Isaiah saw in Isaiah chapter #6
-
Makai. The prophet basically said this.
-
He said, hear thou therefore the word of the Lord.
-
He says I saw the Lord sitting on his throne and all the host
-
of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on its left.
-
What Makaya is describing here, the throne is central, the
-
throne is the attention, the throne is the focus, and there
-
is an audience standing of the heavenly host on the left hand
-
and on the right sides. God in this picture is
-
surrounded by the angelic on each side.
-
But again, to witness the angels is to witness then your nearness
-
to God because they are accompanying Him.
-
They are there because of Him. What are you saying?
-
I'm saying whenever Isaiah says in the year that King Uzziah
-
died, I saw the Lord high and lifted up.
-
If we would take a moment, there's a lot of things that
-
Isaiah could have been swept away by in what he was
-
experiencing and seeing and noticing in that moment.
-
He could have been overtaken by the fact that our earthly king
-
had expired and had deceased and there was going to be a new
-
kingship. That was necessary.
-
He could have been taken back by the fact that there are
-
seraphims that are above here with six wings, 2 covering their
-
face, 2 they're fine with and two covering their feet.
-
He could have you been intoxicated by the melody of
-
their cries of holy, holy, holy, but the end result of everything
-
that he experienced and seen earthly king dying.
-
The angelic in the atmosphere, he says.
-
Let me tell you what I saw though.
-
I saw the. Lord in and of it all.
-
He said. My focus, my attention.
-
What? Grabbed me more than anything is
-
that the Lord was still on his throne and he was high and he
-
was lifted up and his train. Oh Jesus, someone say glory.
-
It's the first thing he noticed. King's dead, yes, he says.
-
But I saw, I saw the Lord. It also interests me.
-
Brother Fred, with the cry of the Seraphim's did not concern
-
was not about. Isaiah.
-
Did not concern was not about one another, but they're holy,
-
holy holy that they spoke with in that scripture is followed
-
with is the Lord of hosts and the whole earth is filled with
-
his glory. It wasn't a recognition of each
-
other and it wasn't a recognition of the mortal man
-
that was among them and it wasn't a recognition of the
-
mortal man that had passed away. Even the angels in this scenario
-
was captured by who they had audience with in that moment and
-
it was the Lord of hosts, the Lord of hosts.
-
Do you understand? And then in these few verses,
-
the emphasis is all about God. The emphasis is all about the
-
Lord. Folks, I hope we see some grand
-
things. I hope we experience signs and
-
miracles and. Wonders, but I never.
-
Want to get to the? Place where I am fascinated by
-
the sign and the miracle and the wonder, and I lose sight of the
-
one that's high and lifted up and sets on his throne and
-
causes and procures all these other things that we
-
experienced. And again, this this might be
-
therapeutic session for me tonight, OK dealing with
-
something from my childhood. But God doesn't make mistakes
-
either. And I know what we speak from
-
this pulpit on a Sunday night goes in the airwaves and they
-
are forever listed in a podcast because I've had people contact
-
me later over. I'm asking myself sometimes, had
-
I ever missed the Lord while I was seeking and looking for an
-
Angel? They're present, but simply
-
because He's present. Psalmist described as such that
-
the Lord rode up on a cherub. Cherub took flight and the Lord
-
says I'm going to use you as a vehicle today.
-
They're just attendants and worshippers and witnesses.
-
They testified to our encounters with God, but they never
-
determine them. Oh really?
-
Bert McGee yes. Let's think for a moment.
-
Just walk with me here for a moment.
-
I'll be mindful of your time, but just think for a moment.
-
There was a baby born in Bethlehem's Manger.
-
The Bible says they called him Jesus.
-
Yes, they also known as Emmanuel, God with us.
-
Do you know who appears at the birth to shepherds in a field
-
over Yonder? The angelic singing Glory to God
-
in the highest peace on earth. Goodwill toward men.
-
If. They shepherds watching their
-
flock by night, had only been. Caught up in the angelic Whoa,
-
they would have missed that holy child.
-
Those angels weren't the point. The Manger.
-
But they had to accompany him because he had come down.
-
When he is resurrected. From the dead and there's some
-
that arrive to now the vacant tomb.
-
What do they encounter? Angel there.
-
Angel and other of the harmonies inside where he used to lay.
-
One person thought there was a gardener.
-
They're there because he had been there.
-
Whenever he ascends into heaven in Acts chapter #1 and disciples
-
are there, and they see his feet.
-
Leave that mount. Call all of it.
-
It's not very soon as they're watching.
-
Him go that angels. Appear and say, Why do you stand
-
here? Gazing the same Jesus that came.
-
Amen. That's going away.
-
We'll. Come back to you.
-
Why are they there? Because they got to accompany
-
the divine and his presence. They're not the point.
-
He's. Everybody doing all right?
-
Furthermore, go back to the. Garden of Gethsemane and Peter's
-
drawn his sword to cut off ears because of feeling threatened by
-
those who have come to the garden with stage and swords, he
-
tells Peter. Put up your sword and watch it
-
now. It's as though Jesus is
-
revealing to him. They would have been here, but
-
I. Had to prevent them.
-
Do you not know Peter? I could call 12.
-
Legion of of Angels, you know, he said.
-
I have let this slide. For this time because they got
-
to apprehend men, so I just told them to stay over there in the
-
distance, but. Normally they would be wherever
-
I'm at. You know what the Bible also
-
tells us then in the Bible, in the book of Thessalonians,
-
Second Thessalonians 17, the Paul, he opens his mouth and he
-
puts a pin to page and he says, I tell you this, that the day
-
that the Son of Man returns, the day that Jesus comes back, he
-
says he will be accompanied by his mighty angels, because where
-
he goes, they. Go.
-
They're not the point. He's the point.
-
Their visitation ain't the point.
-
It's understanding you're having a visitation of God in this
-
moment. They show up when God is doing
-
something. Not us trying to see them, we
-
need to be trying to see him. Interestingly enough to me, I'm
-
getting there folks. Quite frankly, in my human
-
flesh, I'm tired. We don't have many names in
-
scripture of angels if you and far between, but the ones that
-
we know do know of for instance. Michael, you.
-
Want to talk about how much there's this accompanying of God
-
in them, Michael? Or if I could, Mike L, who means
-
who is like God. It's that El which is translated
-
as God. If he didn't have that, he would
-
just be who is like it's God that gives the meaning to his
-
name. When you read about Gabriel,
-
that ministering Angel that announced the birth to, the
-
birth to to Elizabeth and Zachariah of John the Baptist,
-
and even the birth of Christ, it's Gabriel or Gabriel L, whose
-
name means strength. Of God without the L you just
-
got. Strength.
-
It's the God. That gives the real meaning to
-
the Angel. I'm going to step further.
-
Who once was an Angel? Someone say glory.
-
I'm trying to set us up here because angels are never the
-
source. They are the SIM ones.
-
The Bible says Lucifer. Well brother McGee, there's no
-
ail in there, just point it out. But Lucifer means light bearer
-
or Morning Star. You know what the Morning Star
-
is? It's that brightest planet
-
called Venus right before the breaking of the dawn.
-
Venus has no light of its own. It's borrowing light to shine
-
light, and it's always the brightest right before the sun
-
comes up. Honey, he.
-
Would not even to be a light bearer if there wasn't a light
-
to be born. But the great God of glory who
-
stepped into chaos and darkness said let there be light.
-
He's the light of the world. He's the only one that gives
-
purpose and meaning to the supernatural and the angelic,
-
because they accompany and must our God.
-
I'm talking about beyond angels. No, God, you can stand with me
-
before they get a Gurney to Take Me Out of here.
-
What I'm saying is this. The angelic has never been the
-
purpose. The angelic has always been the
-
evidence of the real purpose. They attend to His glory.
-
They don't replace His glory. They stand where God stands,
-
they move where God moves, and they worship him with what he
-
deserves. So when angels appear, that's
-
not so much so heaven being showcased as much as it is, you
-
know what's going on. God is drawing near to us.
-
So ladies and gentlemen, thank you for the session tonight.
-
You've really helped me out. All those years ago, this is
-
what I know. Sister Jen Cruise all those
-
years ago as a teenage young boy.
-
Brother Mason all those years ago, I didn't need to see angels
-
to experience God. As I stood there not seeing
-
anything, I was feeling God. And perhaps, Brother Reese,
-
perhaps rather than staring and squinting my eyes to see if what
-
others undoubtfully saw, perhaps I should have just closed my
-
eyes and reflected and savoured that God is here and that's why
-
they are here. You never have one commandment
-
or mandate in scripture that says seek after angels, but we
-
are repeatedly towed. Seek after the Lord, feel after
-
the Lord. If haply you might find him, for
-
he's not far. He's not far from every.
-
What are you been saying tonight, brother?
-
Me, I can say this with confidence.
-
I felt him this. Morning.
-
I feel him right. Now I tell you, with the
-
assurity of scripture and boldness, we are in the company
-
of angels right now. Because he's here.
-
And I don't want anybody to go. I don't want to be my sisters
-
to. I'm not discouraging you.
-
God would ever reveal the image of an Angel or the apparition of
-
an Angel to you. I'm not discouraging you.
-
The danger is not in US believing in angels, but the
-
threat is just stopping with them.
-
What I encourage you to do is do, do as Isaiah did, come into
-
that scenario and be looking for the Lord.
-
Come in that scenario of the melody of angels crying holy,
-
holy, and say that's sweet, but I know he's here somewhere.
-
That's sweet, but I'm looking for the Lord.
-
I'm looking for Him to be high and I'm looking for Him to be
-
lifted up. Because ladies and gentlemen,
-
beyond angels wings lies the presence of God.
-
Anything less than him is not the destiny, not the purpose.
-
He alone will always be, and His glory will always be the sole
-
purpose. And I feel Him, you know?
-
You know the old chorus we used to sing Rebecca and Tag.
-
You guys know him. Surely the presence of the Lord
-
is in this place. I feel his mighty power and his
-
grace. I feel the rush of angels.
-
That's lyrically, biblically true, because they must
-
accompany they. Must accompany his presence.
-
I would ask this tonight to enter a time right here at the
-
closure of the service. I want you to close your eyes.
-
I want you to minimize any distraction around you right
-
now, and I want you to hone in and I want you to become
-
fastened and fastened by the presence of the Lord.
-
He's here. You don't have to take my word
-
for it. Seek after Him right now.
-
Search after Him right now tonight would be a good night
-
for somebody just to linger oh in the presence of angels yes
-
that's just a byproduct, but ultimately you're standing in
-
proximity and closeness to the creator of the universe hell of
-
a Messiah the. Judge of Old Judge.
-
That will answer to one day. We're in it's presence.
-
Come on Sir, ma'am, I want to experience the miracle, but I
-
need the God of the miracle. I want to wonder, but he's the
-
God of wonder who come up behind.
-
I want the inexplicable, but he's the God of the inexplicable
-
just beyond angels wings. Come on, Sir, ma'am, if you
-
will, will you raise your hands right now just as a sign of
-
surrender and obedience to the Spirit of the Lord that's in
-
this building? Will you just raise your hands
-
right now? Will you create that funnel
-
right now? Hallelujah, all across this
-
building. You can begin to pray.
-
You can begin to speak in tongues.
-
You can begin to give adoration and glory.
-
I guarantee you angels are here worshiping.
-
I want to join in that company of a innumerable number that cry
-
holy, holy, holy, it's the Lord. But Brother McGee, Isaiah stood
-
in that atmosphere and he said, Behold, I am a man of unclean
-
lips and I do all among the unclean people.
-
And the Bible says the seraphim, the Angel, went to the altar and
-
picked up a life coat and took it and touched his to his lips
-
and his lips became clean. They're ministering spirits.
-
The coat from which that would probably come from was either
-
the altar burnt offering or the altar of incense, both in the
-
very beginning, the Tabernacle in the woods, you know, where
-
the fire came from, initially came from God.
-
He ignited the fire so there would have never been a hot
-
Cove. For Isaiah's lips, though borne
-
by an Angel, better not have been a God that initiated.
-
The fire. He's always the purpose.
-
Let's worship Him one more. They're going to sing a song.
-
These altars are open. I'm telling you, folks, I feel
-
unmistakable presence of God here right now.
-
Unmistakable presence of God. I wish we would respond to his
-
presence. Respond to his presence.
-
Say, Brother McGee, I don't feel anything right now.
-
That's OK. You can raise your hands and be
-
respectful in honoring him. Amen.
-
Because before we leave this place, there might be a fresh
-
touch that comes along your Pew and upon your life.
-
Sometimes we entertain angels unawares, and if they're there,
-
he's there.
